A beautiful and grand modern palace that still houses the royal family of Jodhpur. Only a small section of the palace is open to the public as a museum, but it’s well-maintained and gives a glimpse into royal life. You can also see the vintage car collection of the Maharaja, which is quite fascinating. The architecture and interiors are stunning, showcasing luxury and heritage together. The gardens are vast and beautifully kept, and you’ll often spot many peacocks roaming around, especially near the lawns — though the main garden area isn’t open to the public. The palace sits atop a hill, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of Jodhpur city. Parking is available outside the main boundary. The tour is relatively short but worth visiting for the royal vibe and stunning views.

We visited Umaid Bhavan on a weekend around 12:30 PM, and as expected, it was a bit crowded. Just past the entrance, we found a stall selling delicious kulfi — a small but very welcome treat in the heat. The entry is restricted to only a limited section of the palace, mainly the central museum area. While the accessible part is relatively small compared to the entire property, it still offers beautiful glimpses of the royal interiors, vintage collections, and the palace’s history. Overall, it’s a nice stop if you’re exploring Jodhpur, but be prepared for crowds during weekends and remember that only a portion of the palace is open to the public

The palace was built with "dun-coloured" (golden – yellow) sandstone with two wings. Makrana marble has also been used, and Burmese teak wood has been used for the interior woodwork. When completed the palace had 347 rooms, several courtyards, and a large banquet hall which could accommodate 300 people.It also has vintage car musium.

This museum will make you feel like in another era. As a foreigner, it made me have a deeper understanding of Indian culture especially Rajasthan. The artifacts, the view outside, the architecture, everything is magical. We went there on weekend so it is kinda busy with lots of people but not that suffocating. Overall, it is very nice.

A very pious place with calm and clean surroundings. The chants of devotees, the fragrance of marigold flowers, the clamoring of children - all are so serene. Also, as the temple 🛕 sits on top of a hill, it offers a breathtaking view from the top of the well manicured garden and city below.

Beautiful temle of Lord Ganesh ji. As it is situated at some height(on hill) from ground, we can get a beautifull and eyecatching view of Jodhpur city and Mehrangarh fort. Best time to visit is at sunrise or sunset. On Wednesday many people visit here. Twinkling of Bells creates pleasant sounds. Temple of Shiv Ji, Hanuman ji, Mata ji are situated here. At the bottom of the temple there was garden and a pond. It is a nice place to visit in Jodhpur.

A very unique temple of lord Ganesh. I'm not talking about the architecture of the temple. The statue of lord Ganesh is really unique. I visited many temples but i have never seen this type of statue. The temple is not so big and there is also less rush so you can worship very peacefully. This temple is situated on the top of the hill. So you can enjoy the view. You can see the whole city. There are binoculars also but you have to pay for it. The temple also has a beautiful garden with a pond. The temple was also very clean. You should visit this temple and worship lord Ganesh and also enjoy the view..!! ♥️✨✌️

Very old and famous Ganesh Temple in the city. It is situated on hill in Ratanada. Nearby location is circuit house. Ummed Palace is also close from the temple. A garden has been developed for visitors for picnics and sporting. There is huge parking space for 2 wheelers and four wheelers as well. Other than Ganesh Temple, there are other temples of Mahadev, Durga and Ram Darbar. Good place for experiencing the peace of mind.... Such a great holy place in the blessings of lord Ganesh.

A deeply peaceful and divine spot. The natural setting amidst the hills near Lal Sagar is incredibly calming, offering a true spiritual retreat away from the city noise. Perfect for quiet contemplation. Jai Santoshi Maa! This is one of the most revered and unique Santoshi Mata temples. The "Pragat" (self-manifested) idol, believed to emerge from the natural rock, gives it immense power and historical significance. A genuine Shakti Peeth experience. Absolutely must visit on a Friday! The devotional atmosphere is electric and vibrant, though be prepared for crowds. Remember the traditional offering of only gur (jaggery) and chana (gram). A truly uplifting and memorable experience.

One of the famous mandir of mataji in jodhpur. I normally visit every time I visit jodhpur. Here all ur wishes are full filled this is what I believe. My almost all wished are full filled. I always visit this place to thanks mataji. If u are visiting on Friday or in navratri days u will get little rush.

There was a time when people used to stand in line for darshan and after the movie, people living far away also came to Jodhpur for it but now it felt stranded. Only about 25 people were there. Darshan went smoothly on a Friday Evening.

Beautiful temple. Loved the ambience and music inside. It is located on a mountain and hence would suggest to go via auto or personal car. There is more construction going on. It would be better if the washroom can be cleaned properly as there were a lot of mosquitoes. We also climbed the mountain outside and the view was beautiful. Refer the video posted.

This is the place where you can experience village life. These people run this business in their house only. Where they offer home cooked food (i paid 250/- for a thali). very satisfying trip. about 20km from Jodhpur. Owner described the process quite well, describing how they prepare the yarns and colours. Very hospitable too. We went there without a prior appointment, yet were welcomed quite warmly! very quite and peaceful setting. A nice place to spend an hour or so.

Fascinating, Authentic Weaver and Village Home Stay. Sadly we were not able to stay for a meal, but enjoyed the explanation and seeing the range of different designs from other weaver's in the village cooperative.

The weaving here is incredible. Pieces can take well over a month to complete. Considering this, the prices are very reasonable. Thank food here is wonderful. It is not like the food in the city, it is homemade and has very good flavour. We also watched the food being prepared. I recommend this place very highly to anyone visiting Jodhpur. Om is a fantastic guide and explained the processes very helpfully.

This weaving village in the outskirts of Jodhpur is by no means any ordinary place. The weaving community here have been making hand-made carpets for generations, using their proprietary interlocking weaving style which is hard to find anywhere else. In today's world of consumeristic products and promotion-based selling culture, they still cling on hand woven products, and damn, they are good. You just need an eye to observe and appreciate their work. We visited their place in Dec 2022 to see their art but came back buying two rugs. There cannot be a price to real art, and the talent and effort these craftsmen put it surely dwarfs the price they quote. Do pay a visit if you are in Jodhpur, have a chat with them, share a cup of tea, peek into their lives and you will surely come back with fond memories (and products!).

Just 1km from Mehrangardh Fort. It’s located the best Gallery Art and Painting in Jodhpur. Hosted by Bunty and his lovely family, I was invited to contemplate his beautiful paintings and drawings of all kinds. I could enjoy paintings of Indian Gods, Kings, Nature and Costumes. With a very accesible price, he offers here the same painting that are sold inside the Fort Museum but made from his own hand. I could also enjoy a delicious meal with him and his young son, sharing and talking about his beautiful culture and his amazing job.

This was my first visit to Rajasthan. Quite unusually my driver Mr sureshji insisted on visiting Mr. Chauhans art gallery. With my initial doubts I entered the gallery just for my kid who is learning drawing quite seriously. To my surprise the variety of Rajasthani contemprary art collection was very good putting my doubts out of the window. Kudos to Mr Chauhan & team for keeping the art alive. There were some exquisite pieces of art. Anyone visiting Rajasthan/Jodhpur should find time to visit this treasure house and preferably own some pieces of this unique art.

Clock House Jodhpur (Ghanta Ghar): The Clock Tower of Jodhpur, locally known as Ghanta Ghar, was built in the late 19th century during the reign of Maharaja Sardar Singh (1880–1911) It was constructed as part of his efforts to modernize the city and serve as a public timekeeping structure. Beautiful architecture and a mechanical marvel to witness the grand clock still doing it's duty after so many decades. One major disappointment is maintenance and upkeep of the monument and surroundings. It would be fantastic if the premises is maintained well.

Colourful, vibrant, throbbing with life... A variety of street food from the spicy mirchi vada, pyaj kachori, to the sweet makhaniya lass, mava kachori and the local delicacy ghewar. In addition there is the hustle and the bustle of a local market that supports artisans and their products. One normally goes to see the clock tower, and sort of stumbles on the market. The market stretches from the clock tower through Nai Sarak, almost upto the railway station about 2 km away from the clock tower. Colourful clothing is the highlight of this place in addition to knick knacks produced by the local artisans and an unforgettable view of Mehrangarh Fort at all times...

The largest and busiest marketplace of Jodhpur, Sardar market is named after Maharaja Sardar Singh, the king of Jodhpur responsible for building the Ghanta Ghar which lies near the market. This is the most famous shopping zone of Jodhpur and attracts customers from all parts of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, and the world. The marketplace is abundant with everything a shopper could dream of buying, with locals selling all sorts of products such as local fabric, clay figurines, silver jewellery, grains, spices, marble, pottery, vegetables, and many more products.

It's an old gate and old market. But you can get almost everything there it is connected to famous ghanta ghar which is famous for shopping. Anything you want is available here. Including the wonderful cafes and tourist attractions. This place has all the colors and all the variety jodhpur has to offer. This is very nice to see. It is located very close to the fort. You can spend approximately 1 hour here taking nice photographs of the temple and also you can see the fort from a different perspective. The entry fee is 100 Rupees per person and they also accept card payments. There is also toilets on the grounds. If you are visiting the fort visit this place also. It gets warm very quickly here so come as early as you can. It opens at 9AM.

We visited Jaswanth Thada around 10 AM, and it turned out to be the perfect time, the place was calm with very little crowd. The white marble monument looked absolutely stunning in the morning light, and the whole atmosphere felt serene. The entry fee was ₹30 per person for Indians, and as we walked around, a musician was playing the Ghoomar tune on a Ravanhatta. The music blended beautifully with the surroundings and added so much charm to the experience. We ended up spending almost an hour here, just taking in the architecture, the views, and the peaceful ambiance. A lovely spot to unwind and enjoy Jodhpur’s heritage.

Jaswant thada also known as the taj mahal of jodhpur, was built in remory of Maharaja Jaswant singh 2 and is within or nearby the complex housing the Mehrangarh fort. The white marble structure with lake on one side and the Mehrangarh fort walls on the other side, looks really majestic. The complex also houses beautiful garden and is worth a visit.

Such a beautiful art school! We stayed for 4 hours learning how to paint in the traditional way - VJ was very knowledgeable and patient with us, he even brought us chai and samosas! We had a fantastic time and all ended up leaving with some gorgeous art work - even if you’re not interested in painting yourself there are tons of beautiful pieces to sift through! We went for an art class for drawing and painting miniatures. Mr Vijay, the proprietor of the Umaid Heritage Art School was our teacher and guide, and over the course of 3 hours, he helped us paint miniatures from first principles. Even though we did not have any prior experience in painting or drawing, Mr Vijay's teaching style was so good that he was able to "draw" the best out of us. He is patient and enabling, and his own skill as an artist is quite unparalleled.

On a rainy day in Jodhpur would not have asked for a better activity. Mr. Vijay (also popularly known as lentil man) is an excellent teacher and he took us through a quick crash course (abt 2 hours) on miniature art and the technique involved in a process which is passed on by generations and 100’s of years old. If you have sometime and believe in promoting art do try it out. It’s a stone throw within the main clock tower market. Check out the painting that he helped me put together!

It doesn't have much to offer except the steep staircase you need to climb down. If the lighting is right the photographs you take might look good, otherwise they'll just look dirty. Not too crowded but it was very hot when we went. Overall worth a small visit after the Ghanta Ghar.

Toor Ji Ka Jhalra, also known as the Toorji Stepwell, is one of the most fascinating heritage spots in Jodhpur and an absolute must-visit for anyone exploring the Blue City. Located in the heart of the old city near the Clock Tower and Sardar Market, this centuries-old stepwell beautifully blends history, architecture, and culture in one frame.The structure is stunning — built from red sandstone with intricate carvings and symmetrical steps leading down to the cool green water. The best part is how the place still feels authentic and rooted in history, even though it has become a popular spot among tourists and locals alike.In the mornings, the site feels peaceful and perfect for photography or quiet reflection. The surrounding area is full of vibrant cafes, rooftop restaurants, and small handicraft shops that add to the charm — you can easily spend an hour or two here soaking in the atmosphere.The maintenance is fairly good, though it can get a little crowded during peak hours. Visiting early in the day is the best way to enjoy its calm beauty. If you’re a history lover, architecture enthusiast, or someone who enjoys exploring local culture, Toor Ji Ka Jhalra will not disappoint you.It’s not just a stepwell — it’s a living reminder of Jodhpur’s royal heritage and the importance of water conservation in desert architecture.

The architecture of this historical site is absolutely amazing! The details, the patterns, and the design itself is wonderful! 💯 It made us rest and relaxed after some time of wandering.

Easy walking distance from the fort. This statue of Rao Jodha points directly at the Fort high on the hill. The statue is mounted on a large area of Rajasthani sandstone and seems to be not of interest to tourists. While I was checking it out and taking in the view for over 30 minutes, not one other person stopped in to see it but carried on in their tuktuk to the more appealing sites. This statue is free to see and I recommend while in the area of the other tourists attractions, stop in and enjoy the scenery 😉

The Rao Jodha Ji Statue stands tall, honoring the founder of Jodhpur. Positioned on a rocky hilltop, it offers a limited yet beautiful view of the city. A serene spot, especially during sunset, providing a unique perspective of the city's beauty.

Lovely horseback statue on a hill top overlooking the majestic mehrangarh fort. The statue is atop slippery rocks so one needs to be careful. You can't park alongside the road as the road is narrow towards the jaswant thada complex. Do not attempt to take your suv near to the statue as local police doesn't take it too well. Respect the local culture You should visit the statue preferably in evening as you can enjoy the sunset. Please do not litter. Parking is available at nearby jaswant thada parking lot.

Historic city of Jodhpur was founded by Rao Jodha Rao Jodha shifted his capital from Mandore to Jodhpur in 1459 & built the Mehrangarh fort. After 554 years of its foundation, an equestrian statue of Rao Jodha was installed on 12th May 2012(554th Jodhpur Foundation Day) This statue made of ashtadhatu (blend of eight metals) is worth Rs 37 lakh. It is just next to Jaswant Thada & Rao Jodha is pointing towards Mehrangarh Fort.

Jai pol means victory gate. First gate / main entrance of Mehrangarh fort. Well built pol (gate). A very good view of city, road, fort, umaid bhawan palace from outside of pole. Vide parking area, It's connected by road. if anyone planning to visit fort by vehicle. Near entry here is a chatri (temple). Ticket window / guide are available near to this gate.

Jai Pol is a massive gateway, constructed as a victory memorial. Maharaja Man Singh, the former king of Marwar, built this gate in 1806. The Structure and Architecture looks Magnificent. The reason behind the construction of this gate was commemorating the triumph of Marwar against rival dynasties of Bikaner and Jaipur. The timing is 9 am to 5 Pm.

a bit disapointing the discrimination in india. here is in a very high level. ticket for indians 60 rupee, for foreginers 600 rupee. its 10 times more. i never saw that big differences before. becouse there is also rich indians and poor backpackers from europe. Its a bad system, and i dont like at all. i could give one star becouse of this, but get three becouse the fort is amaizing. my recommend for every turist, to dont pay. than thay will change there mind. also some more information who can effort or dont want to pay the toll, you can wall inside the fort for free, dont belive for the doorsmens, thay are lieing. the ticket just for enter the museum, inside the castle visiting. outside is free in the streets.

The Phool Mahal is a beautifully decorated hall in the Mehrangarh fort, Jodhpur. The hall probably served the purpose of a pleasure dome of the Maharajas, and the female dancers used to stay here. Accordingly the room was made to look as beautiful as a magnificent flower, which earned it the name Phool mahal. The ceiling has golden filigree work, for which it is said, gold was brought from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. There are also some beautiful portraits and paintings, especially the raga mala series, and furniture from the British period to enhance the glory of the room.

Park offers great view of the hills behind. It’s a gem for morning walker and outdoor enjoyment place for kids as it have many activities. Situated near main road Jodhpur to Khatu or Jaipur makes accessible easily.

First time here, loved it. The architecture was mesmerizing. I took at at least 10 mins to view each part of this Garden. The temple in the end was the best. Came right on time for arti, felt really blessed. The garden has so many places to click beautiful pictures. You'll have to beaware of the monkeys around, they are a lot of them. I'd recommend a visit to this place at least once if you're in Jodhpur.

Inside the garden there are small cafeterias that serve delicious food. Small toy train is the main attraction for both kids and adults. While entering the garden, we came to know that Mandodari and Ravan got married here as mandodari was from Jodhpur.

A place with numerous architectural structures with wonderful detailed craftsmanship. This place is quite big and keep about 1-2 hrs to experience this place at ease. But avoid visiting during noon, as this place gets really hot.

This place have its historical importance. It's a fort about 800 years back which was attacked and destroyed by muslim envadors. Few destroyed structures are present there . But now this place is converted into a park which is loaded with a museum which shows the art and culture of this place and tradition and tall building carved from stone shows how better the architecture was about 800 years back.

Visiting Mehrangarh Fort is always an amazing experience — I’ve been here twice, with a gap of 10 years, and the feeling of awe remains the same. The fort’s beauty and grandeur are truly timeless. Parking is available below the fort in a large designated area for around ₹50 per car. From there, you walk up to the entry gate to purchase your tickets. You also have the option to hire a guide or rent an audio device (about ₹180 per device). The audio guide works with numbered points displayed around the fort, making it easy to follow along with the history. There’s also a lift facility that can take you directly to the top, allowing you to explore the fort from top to bottom. However, if you take the lift, you will skip points 1–6, so make sure to listen to those explanations before you start, since the audio device has to be returned at point 33. Exploring the fort properly takes at least 1–2 hours, and every corner feels worth it. I also tried the Makhaniya Lassi at their café — definitely a good choice to refresh yourself during the visit. The staff at the fort are very humble and helpful, which adds to the experience. The only advice I would strongly give is: avoid visiting in the summer. The heat can be unbearable. The best time is during the core winter months.

This is one of the most important places to visit while in Jodhpur. This fort is amazing to see both inside and outside the fort. You can get here by Tuk Tuk and pay entry at the ticket office which starts at fort entrance. They accept card payments and also cash. It costs 800 Rupees per person to see the fort but worth it. You can spend approximately 2 hours here walking around and enjoying the historic buildings. It is quite warm here but there are cafes around the fort if you need to buy drinks. There are also toilets on site. I would highly recommend you visit this fort. You can also exit the fort through the Blue City side which is also another nice experience exiting the fort through the Blue City. It gets very busy from early. It is best to come at opening time which is 9am.

We visited Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur on March 1, 2025 with our family, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The fort stands as one of Rajasthan’s finest—beautifully preserved and showcasing the true splendour of Marwar’s royal heritage. From the moment you walk through the huge entrance gates, the grandeur is evident. Intricate carvings, elegant jharokhas, spacious courtyards and towering walls paint a vivid picture of the royal era. The museum is equally impressive, featuring royal costumes, weapons, miniature paintings and palanquins that perfectly capture the history and culture of Jodhpur. The entry fee is ₹200 per person, and ₹100 for senior citizens. We didn’t hire any guide but if you want you cant get guide there. For those who prefer not to climb the steep pathways, there is a lift service for ₹50 per person, which takes you directly to the main courtyard — very convenient, especially for families and elders. We spent about 2–3 hours exploring the fort at a comfortable pace. The views from the top are absolutely stunning — a full panoramic view of the Blue City, especially magical during sunset. The fort also has clean washrooms, a nice café offering tea and snacks with scenic views, and a souvenir shop with good-quality local handicrafts. Overall, Mehrangarh Fort is a must-visit in Jodhpur — grand, informative and family-friendly. A perfect mix of history, architecture and breathtaking views.

The fort is well maintained, clean, and has helpful staff. The audio guide adds great context to the history. It can get a bit hot, so try to visit early morning or evening. We really loved visiting Mehrangarh Fort. It was built in 1459 by Rao Jodha and is one of the biggest forts in Rajasthan. The view from the top is amazing. Inside the fort, there is a museum where you can see old weapons, paintings, and royal items. The entry ticket is ₹200 for adults. If you have a student ID card, the ticket price becomes half. The place is very clean, well managed, and a must visit in Jodhpur.

I enjoy a lot the walk around the roa Jodha park. Nice and quiet place, surrounded by green. I did the green trail and took me only 35 minutes slowly walking. The yellow was only 20 minutes. You can see the wall and another nice view of the fort and blue city. Outside they have clean toilets.

A very Unique where one can find different stones and walk a trail… In a walk there’s a different bird watching, a lake and the back side of mehrangarh fort… it’s worth a watch especially for nature lovers… the ticket price is 100 rs per adult

Went for morning trekking and it's a awesome place for bird watching . There are different tracks as per difficulty level, I was suggested for yellow tack however that's too easy and short, tried others too and on red found a lotus pond. Perfect view of fort and lake. I recommend to check those stones displayed outside the ticket counter, they are fossiles and some are very unique.

It was a very nice experience of trekking of 2 KM by foot through rocky desert hills with the experience of a lot of different varieties of plant species, birds, squirrels, lake and fishes, reptiles, wild pigs and vast view of Mehrangarh Fort and its boundary walls, zip lines. It will take a minimum of half an hour and maximum up to your interest. Entrance fee of Rs. 100/- to be paid and a Guided tours are also available with additional fees.

A beautiful place in the middle of the city, and most loved by nature lovers. A must visit natural rocky desert in the Jodhpur city behind Mehrangarh Fort. Monsoon season is best for visit.

This is my first time for Birdwatching activity conducted by Rao Jodha Desert Park environmental study group. Due to great care and maintenance this place reserves natural habitat for plants and animals. The old buildings in surrounding lakes impart vintage lifestyle also.

My family was so happy to be here. This is Mind blowing place and a place where we could find a peace of life.

Perfect picnic spot in jodhpur

Balsamand Lake is a lake situated 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Jodhpur on Jodhpur-Mandore Road. This lake is a popular picnic spot, built in 1159 AD by Gurjara-Pratihara rulers. It was designed as a water reservoir to provide water to Mandore. The lake has a length of one kilometre (0.62 mi), breadth of 50 metres (160 ft) and a depth of 15 metres (49 ft). The Balsamand Lake Palace was built later as a summer palace on its shore. The lake is surrounded by lush green gardens that house groves of trees like mango, papaya, pomegranate, guava and plum. Animals and birds like the jackal and peacock also call this place home. Balsamand Lake is an artificial lake that was built way back in 1159 AD by Balak Rao Parihar as a water reservoir to cater for Mandore. One kilometre long, 50 m broad and 15 m deep; the lake is located in the middle of a manicured garden full of mango, papaya, pomegranate, guava and plum trees. Jackal and peacock are the prominent guests in the garden. There is an impressive red sandstone summer palace on the shores of the lake, which is now converted into a five-star property. This is a artificial lake built in 1159 AD by Balak Rao Parihar on. It is one of the beautiful tourist places in Jodhpur . It was built to be used as a water reservoir for the people of city. The lake is surrounded by a garden of mango, papaya, guava, and plum trees. It is also home of peacocks in the area.

This place is a small zoo and it can take 2-3 hours to complete. If you are having time in your Jodhpur trip. you can visit this place. The place is clean. There was only 1 queue for tickets, either that should be multiple queues or there should be online facility for this. Wasted around 30mins in queue for tickets. The ticket pricing was 33rs.

Small zoo. Neat & clean. All the toilets were locked inside and outside the zoo. Cafeteria staff overcharged us for ice cream and all other packed products, MRP is erased from all the products. Staff were ready to fight with customers for price issues. Complained the same to police officials at the entrance. Not sure if any action will be taken. Poor experience.

The place is good. Zoo has quite some animals too, so if you want to keep your little ones busy, this definitely is your spot. Just be mindful of either taking your own vehicle over there or book an Uber ride for to and fro coz no public transportation facility is not available and taxis can charge >3x at evening. Also parking closes at 5pm for new entry, so plan the visit for before 5.

History -Kaylana Lake is located 8 km west of Jodhpur in Rajasthan, India. It is an artificial lake, built by Pratap Singh in 1872. In ancient times this region had palaces and gardens made by two rulers of Jodhpur - Bhim Singh and Takhat Singh. These were destroyed to make Kaylana Lake. Present - Very scenic and calm place specially if you are a sunset lover. Perfect for calm evening near lakeside with beautiful sunset views and boating. Few camel rides are also available with some evening snacks to munch on. Welcome maintained these days. Perfect place for a photo shoot specially your pre wedding shoot as the ambience is breathtaking specially during the sunset. Must visit once.

This place is a little far from the city area and when I visited that time the lake had not enough water so you might be disappointed and also, this place does not have that much greenery and even the whole jodhpur city need some trees and gardens so many tourists can easily attract to visit. But yes this place is situated at a small height and you can also enjoy the sunset view from the small mountain area.

Though lake is not managed well and there is no option to pay by card or UPI so carry cash with you. Food prices are average, quality and quantity both are good for food except the tea. They use toooo much ginger and quantity is too low of the tea so give instructions before you order.

Utpaladeva converted to Jainism, and turned the village into a center for the religion. However, Jainism had a presence in the village long before that. The town was prosperous and successful at this time. At its peak, it had over three hundred Jain temples.[7] Muhammad of Ghor and his Turkish and Muslim armies attacked the town in 1195. Very beautiful temple taken care by total neglect. Nobody around, no demarcation, surroundings used as parking. Looks like it is not in use any more. Acts as parking ground for Osian Mata temple visitors. It has unique style of railings which is angled outwards from 3 sides. Some walls are perfect example of badly restored piece.

The story of Mahavira is beautifully painted on the walls of temple- from birth to the nirvana, all the chakra’s!! This temple has idols of all the twenty-four tirthankar. Even the route of shamed shikar shrine is painted. It has large embarked Siddhi Chakra. The architecture of the temple is beautifully sculpted, has eye catching views. The idols which are embarked on the pillar were just amazing to watch. The environment of temple is energetic. It also has facility to stay as AC and Non-ac rooms are available with food facility!! This temple is the oldest surviving Jain temple in Western India and was built during the reign of Mahārāja Śrī Vatsarāja of Imperial Pratihāras. The temple is visited by both Jain and Hindu. Parking is available at temple. There a several beautiful temple canopy arround the premises. Photography is prohibited here.

Really beautiful and very much intricately carved Jain temple in Osian. May be due to the narrow approach road, it is not so popular as it should be. Better to park the vehicle at designated parking near Osian temple and walk from there. Some local autos run up to Jain temple and only they can negotiate these narrow lanes and tight curves. Once you reach in, it's a totally wonderful world! Almost silent, no crowds, enjoy the beauty and serenity of the temple. You may check out each pillar carved so finely that, you need an up close look to really admire the carvings. Didn't find good options for water, snack etc nearby, so be prepared for any sudden need. Keep water during summer as the stones get really hot.

Army and defence enthusiasts will enjoy this place. Ideal time to visit is early morning or evening before September. As in the open area there's not much shelter so it can get hot. You can relax on the grass and enjoy the view over there. Inside the museum there are articles used in the the wars with details of their time of use and basic working. You get an overall history of the wars fought by army batallions. There's a show as well which is scheduled throughout the day. Do visit the souvenir shop over there. They have really interesting things to get over there. Overall time taken to explore is about 1 to 1.5 hour. If you're not much into reading and history then this is not for you.

Great! No other words can describe this place. It presents the heroic of our armed forces during war with pakistan. Armoured tanks and vehicles captured by our forces in 1971 war are being displayed here. Public are allowed to get photograph with captured tanks and vehicles. Very well managed. Souvenir shop is excellent and having items for daily use at very reasonable price
