A truly sacred and must-visit temple. Divine time to visit is during full moon days and suggested to visit early morning. Be carefull of your belongings and pickpockets. Enough restaurants, drinking water, wahsroom facilities are available throuvh out Girivalam path. Auto facility available for Girivalam.

Very peaceful and divine place. Arunachaleswarar Temple in Tiruvannamalai is truly powerful — Lord Shiva’s presence can be felt everywhere. The temple is well maintained, clean, and beautifully built. The Girivalam (Giripradakshina) around the holy Arunachala hill is around 14 km — a wonderful spiritual walk filled with devotion and positive energy. Best time is early morning or full moon days. Arunachaleshwara Temple has impressive scale and architecture, spiritual significance as one of the Pancha Bhoota Sthalam (Agni or fire), and the importance of the Girivalam (circumambulation of the Annamalai hill). It has a powerful, spiritual atmosphere, noting that the temple can be very crowded, especially during festivals or special events like Karthigai Deepam or full moon days., but also that early morning visits offer a more serene experience. Commonly mentioned engineering marvels of the temple, such as the massive stone construction and the mysterious shadow of the vimana and the spiritual energy of the place. You can pre-book just before 2-3 hours for darshan and can be booked both online and offline to avoid the long queues for darshan. Puja items are sold around the temple area.

Visited on week end. Too much crowded. Took around 5 hours to take the darshan. Finding car parking was difficult. Finally could able to park with the help of a auto drive around 800 meters away from Raja gopuram basically it's one of the entrance. Parking fee was Rs 80. I am not sure if this parking was really run by temple authority because it dint look so. Better to take Rs 50 entrance ticket to save some time. I was not aware that there is such facility. After the darshan we can buy sweet pongal and pulihogre for Rs. 10 each. Temple also sells laddus and other items priced Rs. 50 each.

Visited here during Pournami and did the Giripradakshina at night, starting around 12 AM and completing it by 6 AM. The crowd was massive, so after finishing the walk we took some rest in the morning as darshan was difficult due to the rush. Later in the afternoon, around 2 PM, we went for darshan and were able to complete it in just 30 minutes. The experience was peaceful and truly blissful — we really loved the place. Arulmigu Annamalaiyar (Arunachaleswarar) Temple in Tiruvannamalai is a major South Indian Shiva temple located at the foot of the sacred Arunachala Hill. Many saints, including Ramana Maharshi and Seshadri Swamigal, attained samadhi here. I visited today along with my friend, and the darshan was amazing. We spent nearly an hour in the temple after the darshan, and it filled us with a lot of positive energy. Please note: On Pradosham and auspicious days, the temple becomes highly crowded, and waiting time for darshan can range from 3 to more than 6 hours. Parking is also difficult, and you may have to park far from the temple and walk or take auto. If visiting with senior citizens, plan accordingly. Buying special dharshan ticket for Rs 50/- will help.. To avoid crowds, visit on non-festival days, non-auspicious days, and weekdays.

The priests were respectful, and the overall experience was very soulful compared to more commercialized temples. 🍲 Food Options Nearby: Around the temple, there are a few small village-side hotels/restaurants — more like simple sheds — where you can get lunch or basic meals. The food was okay, but don’t expect too much since it’s prepared in a simple village style. Still, it adds to the authentic rural experience. 🌄 Location: Surrounded by the hills and greenery, the temple has a refreshing climate. The approach roads are scenic, and the temple itself adds to the heritage vibe of Kolli Hills. ✅ Overall: A must-visit when you are in Kolli Hills. I often come to this temple. Because Lord and Lordess appear in majestic forms. Anyone with simple spiritualistic values will get mesmerised by the mind blowing spectacular appearances of Almighty and Almighty Godess. That too to sing Annapoorneswari sthrom infront of Almighty Goddess is really a blessing acquired through a long birth-death cycle. Further Lord Muruga with his consorts is placed right opposite to Aram valartha Nayagi. The background is composed of Lord Vinayaka, Kasi Vishwanathar, Visalakshi, Mahalakshmi, Mahasaraswathi, Jyestadevi, Durgai, Kalabhairavar and Navagraha sannidhi, apart from Sun & Moon shrines. And then the famous rotating stones are there. To be visited atleast once in lifetime. Not to forget the darshan of SRI CHAKRAM in Ambal sannidhi. OM NAMAH SHIVAYA.

You can either park at the bottom and enjoy a peaceful walk up the small hill, or take the Vinayaka Missions entrance to drive directly to the top. I highly recommend starting from the bottom, parking your vehicle, and beginning your ascent from the Vinayagar shrine. This place is a beautiful confluence of faiths, featuring shrines for all in one location. The atmosphere is incredibly calm and divine, filling you with a sense of tranquility and good vibes. Tip: do one slow clockwise round touching each pillar/lingam cluster with your right hand—it turns the visit into a mindful walk. Secret tip: after the main darshan, stand a few minutes at the far end of the courtyard and look back toward the central shrine—the symmetry of the 1008 lingams lining up to the sanctum is the most serene frame of the temple. 🙏

During my recent journey to Namakkal, I had the privilege of visiting the awe-inspiring Namakkal Anjaneyar Temple, renowned for its 18-foot tall monolithic statue of Lord Hanuman—one of the tallest in South.

This temple is of a large sized boon giving Anjaneya in standing posture. Here Anjaneya with folded hands, is facing the sannidhi of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha across the road. This place was called Lamb's rock by the then Collector Mr.E.B.Thomas, after one Captain Lamb who made earnest attempts to open a path to the place. The path is now paved with stones which are mostly slippery due to rainy season. Walk carefully. Ticket is ₹40 for adults. You can reach the top using one path and come down by walking on another path. This path is less steep. Mostly misty during rains. Limited view.

Lamb’s Rock is one of the most spectacular lookout points in the Nilgiris near Coonoor. The panoramic views of the mist-clad valleys, tea plantations and the dramatic drop make it a must-visit for nature lovers and photographers. The pathway and viewpoint area are fairly well maintained, and the cool mountain air adds to the experience. If you’re in Coonoor, don’t miss spending some time here taking in the vistas and relaxing amidst nature. Highly recommended for a peaceful, scenic detour.

Scenic and beautiful place. Don't take guide as it's better to enjoy natural beauty and not worthy of spending much for a guide. You need to treak a little so will recommend take the route on right while going up as you will not get stairs to climb rather you only get stairs to come down.

This is the loveliest place in our Ooty visit.It is very huge .The maintenance is very good.The walking trails are there.There is a boat house and children play area.There are rest rooms. The trees and lushy green lawns are very pleasant to watch. My grand child enjoyed very much here.

Beautiful Park to spend time with friends and Family. Parking is on road side which is chargeable too. A small pond with lot of variety of plants, trees and flowers. Awesome place to do some photography.

High Field tea factory is a popular spot visited by tourists. It mainly contains 2 shops - one selling various types of tea like regular tea, ginger tea and chocolate tea, oils, spices etc and the other where chocolates are made. Besides these 2 areas, there was a factory containing heavy equipment for processing tea. It is an interesting and pleasant place to visit.

Awesome place to come with family and friends, All age group friendly. Lots of variety of trees and plants. I could not resist taking lots of photos, few of them uploaded here. Must visit place if you touch coonoor. You can come by auto from coonoor railway station. Affordable price. I didn't see dedicated parking. So better come by auto. Ticket given at gate is also of food quality, I kept for my collection.

It's called Sims park, a beautiful garden in hectares with a great variety of birds in the mornings and flowers, boating and swings are there for kids..... with a great collection of old trees

This park is just amazing! Many beautiful 100 years+ old trees will surprise you. There’s a small Lake which is also beautiful, have some children play area and has boating facility. The park has many many levels of steps to go down and cherish the beauty throughout the garden. Must Appreciate the horticulture team who is best in maintaining it. Best place for nature lovers who would like to see different types of trees which can be rarely seen only in botanical gardens. Also they have installed water vending machine & it feels satisfying to drink the water after the good long walk in the park.

There may be a traffic near view point on week end we have to wait near 15 mins, but after that we can see the full beauty of the ooty view. We can cover almost full of the area from here. Stunning view is there try to be visit on sunny day otherwise mist may hide the view. Entry fee will be collected at the entry for vehicle and we have to pay 20 rs per head we can pay through UPI also. Many shops available there we can purchase small things. Restroom available here.

This is a really good view spot in Ooty and a must visit, it is the tallest point in the Nilgiris. The experience was decent, first you are supposed to buy a ticket, but before you get in line for the ticket, you have to enter the market, which had clothes and souvenirs. There are may cameramen present there who will click and print photos on the spot. There is also a watchtower, which you can climb up to get a better view from the Peak. The road leading up to this peak is also scenic, with tall trees.

A few minutes away from Ooty centre, it's worth visiting. At Doddabetta checkpoint, around Rs 50-60 deducted for car entry. Entrance fee is Rs 10. Have to walk a couple of steps to go to the viewing point. There's a small watch tower. There's also a few steps leading down to another viewpoint. Overall, amidst the hills of Ooty and Doddabetta, the views are scenic and serene.

One of the great spots to experience Ooty . I wanted to see sunrise but looks like they allow only after 8 am & they follow stringent timelines on open n close so don’t bother visiting after or before official time . They are many good scenic spot while climbing the peak as well .

Kudos to the department officials and the numerous staff members who work tirelessly for the upkeep of this vast area... The garden layout is designed over 4 levels... With well planned layout of variety of rose plants... The staff are courteous... And knowledgeable about the plants, etc... They patiently answer to our queries... Only thing is you should be able to converse in the local language - Tamil. They also have a sles counter... Selling a range of saplings... A definite must visit place... For a calm, serene time... I visited the Ooty Rose Garden with a lot of excitement because every time I’ve gone in the past, it was full of colourful roses and truly eye-relaxing views. But this time, I was honestly shocked. There were almost no roses at all, and the entire place looked empty and dull. It felt completely waste to visit. I even asked the workers there, and they said May is the peak season, so that’s why there were no blooms now. Maybe that is true, but still I didn’t expect the garden to look this plain. I went only because of the beautiful memories I had from previous visits, but this time it was very disappointing. I hope they maintain it better throughout the year or at least inform visitors about the off-season, because people travel a long way expecting to see roses.

Visited this temple during our coimbatore visit, this temple was suggested by Anandas hotel manager. The temple is located 12-15kms from coimbatore city. The Vinayagar idol is about 6ft tall and looks magnificent. The entire temple gives you a Devine feeling. There is a small garden and a marriage area inside the temple. Parking is available for 3 to 4 cars, there are shops to buy pooja items as well. this temple is located under the flyover and has continuous vehicle movement. This temple is special because many new bike or car buyers get their pooja done here. Many devotees also perform dristi removal ritual with coconut here. Nice place to add to your coimbatore list.

The idol became embedded in the soil, which devotees interpret as a divine sign, leading to the construction of the temple around it. The temple has undergone several significant updates over the years, with the first Kumbabhishekam held in 1977, and photographs from the ceremony are displayed at the temple. How to reach: • By car/taxi: It is about 12 km from Coimbatore city and takes roughly 30 minutes. (I was driving from Kerala via NH544 and NH968 to reach the temple) Note that the temple is located right by the roadside under a flyover, so parking can be challenging. • Public transport: Buses and taxis are available from Coimbatore, which is often more convenient due to traffic and limited parking.

Peaceful and well-maintained temple Visited the Murugan Temple in Coimbatore and had a really calming experience. The temple is clean, well-organized, and has a serene atmosphere. We will visit here atleast once in a month. You will find peace here. Situated in the hills, if you plan to visit the temple , and if you plan use the steps , you need to reach there before 5pm. Steps are closed after 5pm on all days due to elephants and chetah movement. Two wheelers or four wheelers are not allowed after 7 pm during weekdays and after 5 pm during weekends as well as festival seasons. Four wheelers are not allowed after 5 pm on any day. They have there own small buses carrying from hill bottom to top. But they too stop after 7 pm. Temple closes around 8 to 8.30 pm after Pooja's.

This temple is around 25 kilometres from Coimbatore, the entry fee to hill for car is 30 Rs. This place having limited car parking near the temple, so sometimes becomes difficult to get car parking here. There is a toilet facility there, the cleanliness is average. You have to climb few steps around 100 to reach the temple, there are two line for darshana one general darshana line and second one is special darshana line, the charges for special Darshana is 50 Rs. Per person. The temple situated at the foothills and surrounded by hills, it's a very spiritual experience to visit this temple. From the temple you can see bird view of Coimbatore city.

We visited the temple on a Friday. On that day, cars were not allowed to go up the hill due to the Krithigai festival, but vehicles with political flags were still permitted. If you are a common devotee, you’ll have to wait longer and face some struggle to get a darshan. Temple buses are available to take devotees up the hill near the temple, but you still need to climb a few steps to reach the main shrine. Senior citizens, patients, and differently-abled people find it difficult to manage this climb. Otherwise, the temple is clean and well-maintained, and some development work is in progress. It would be good if the Government or HR&CE department could improve facilities to help senior citizens and differently-abled devotees reach the temple more easily.

Went to this temple during my first visit to Coimbatore. This temple is located 15km from the main city of Coimbatore. The temple is at the base of the hills of western ghats. It is said to be over a 1000yrs old temple with visitors coming from all over India. I went on Friday evening, the experience of going to the temple was not pleasant as we had to wait at the foothills for more than 1 hrs just to go to the top of the hill. There are people manning the entrance of foothill with security. The stop vehicle movement and charge 20rs for parking. The foothills to the entrance closes at 7pm, even local bus service to the top closes at 7pm. Once you go to the hilltop, Darshan is available until 8:30pm. The place has not developed much. Lots of inconvenience for visitors. No proper parking, lack of basic amenities like public toilet, drinking water etc. Very limited shops near the temple. The only good thing is having darshan of Lord Murugan. We were lucky to see Abhishekam of Muruga as well at 8pm. Apart from that the place doesn't give a good temple atmosphere or a serene experience. Govt must take up the task of developing the place at foothills with hotels and shops for visitors. May be due to forest area and western ghats they might have restricted the development activities also. There are elephant movement at stairways when going towards the hilltop. Please be careful and do not litter the place. Try visiting during morning hours on weekdays for a better experience. Om Muruga. Vetrivel Muruganukku Arogara.

Recently we visited Parambikulam trip with Jeep Safari. It's a great experience. Jeep ride was awesome we went with our 2yr kid and he enjoyed thoroughly. Lucky enough to spot two big tuskers and group of deers and couple of tiger tail monkeys and peacock. It's an off season still the climate was very great. Jeep driver Ponnusamy is well versed in all areas very friendly, flexible and cooperative. Value for money.

Long story short - If you want to have once in lifetime rewarding hours in Pollachi then you should really go for this. Here is the long story - I was returning from Kerala after attending my friend's wedding. My plan was to stop and roam in Pollachi for a day en-route to Chennai. The previous day I had no idea about my plans in Pollachi. I took the number from TripAdvisor and made a call, on the other side a person introduced himself as Selva and he sounded kind and approachable. I told him I am looking for a one day trip to Topslip. He pointed the link in his website for the tariff details and asked me to check and get back to him. This to me is an approach I would welcome. Instead of bargaining, having a tough time, he has the details and the price put up in his website. You can choose from the available options and it really helps to narrow down your initial decision. I told him I will be opting for Top-slip-Parambikulam trip. He enquired me about the stay and i said I have no idea and he suggested me a budget hotel near the Pollachi bus stop. The hotel was decent and reasonably priced. The next day we decided to start at 7.30 AM. I got down from the hotel and was surprised to see the Jeep (Gypsy). Selva is the person who is owner cum driver for it. I didn't expect that I will see him in shorts and coolers. I got into the Gypsy and within 5 minutes i started sharing a good conversation with Selva. He was explaining about Pollachi, its geography, its major exports and why he prefers Parambikulam instead of Topslip (Parambikulam is the last hill stop and you will be passing through Topslip). Topslip is poorly maintained by TN Govt whereas the Kerala government maintains Parambikulam. They maintain it so well and the place greets you with their signature warmth. Don't get carried away by the heading "Parambikulam Tiger Reserve". If you have luck you can spot a tiger but it is rare as the tigers will be mostly inside forest. The trip is rewarding if you want to enjoy the forest air, vista views, the light and shadow play by the sunlight instead of having an ambition just to spot a tiger. I could spot many birds on the way sitting inside the jeep which includes - Green Bee Eater, Peahen, Peacock, Lesser Golden Flameback Woodpecker, Racket Tailed Drongo, Indian Golden Oriole, Rufous Treepie. I was lucky to get a glimpse of all these birds in their natural habitat and i even spotted a Cobra snake near the dam area. All through the trip till evening, Selva was very kind and gentle. We discussed a lot of stuffs and he was like a best-friend figure within short span of time knowing him.The Kerala govt. runs a restaurant in Parambikulam and you get some first class breakfast and lunch cooked by the local people. Selva can help you choose how to get the best out of the day. He dropped me back at 4 PM and I had some extra areas covered and took some long time in each spot to experience things a little longer and he charged me reasonable. Normally if you deviate from the original plan you would be charged heavy but Selva was genuine. He understands what kind of person you are and based on your expectation he tries to make the best out of the trip. I would give my highest recommendation in choosing his Jeep trip if you wanted a 1or 2 day sight-seeing in Pollachi . Bonus : 1. Sitting inside all open Gypsy you could feel the fresh air splicing your body 2. The Gypsy is in good condition, I am 6.1 ft tall and I had no troubles. 3. Selva can suggest you some reasonable budget hotels so that you don't waste money for the stay 4. He has a earned a good name for himself in this business and almost all the Kerala govt.forest officials know him. The first day we did the Valparai tea plantation tour. Enjoyable day, good driver and value for money. The next day we did Topslip, Parambikkulam and jungle safari. We are well aware that you take a risk booking this tour as you are never guaranteed to see any animals, but feel the tour was overpriced for what we got.

Very serene place. We went around noon so it was a little hot but it was not that warm. We saw monkeys, deer, peacocks etc. but if it was evening time we could see more of them. There is a canteen near the top slip and washrooms were also available. Through this we can reach the kerala border through Parambikulam Tiger reserve but the road is not recommended. Better coming back through Aanamalai tiger reserve is best.

Nice place to chill over the weekends. We can see elephants live feeding at the camp, other wild animals like bison, deer, bird varieties, monkeys(not the one's that we usually see), wild squirrels, wild elephants etc. Try to be here early as possible, maybe around 6.30 so that you can see wild animals inside the reserve.

Good jungle safari. Spotted elephants, deep down the woods. Morning first safari we could enjoy fresh nature breeze as well as elephant’s feeding. Evening sessions may also have them bathing 😆😜

The Adiyogi area of Isha Yoga centre is about a km from parking area. This is a very impressive giant sized statue on a large platform. There is a Shiv Linga in the forecourt area of this statue where visitors can offer Jal abhishek amidst continuous chanting. A good arrangement ! But the walk from parking to the adi Yogi arena can be a challenging one for senior citizens & children during mornings & summer times as it's a wide open area without any trees/shade. So beware of this aspect & go prepared with sunglasses, Caps etc.

Well, big land converted to a religious place having Lor Shiva's statue 🙏 but other than the statue, it is just a place where you can enjoy some food, have shower, and see bullock cart. Lastly a Dome, also called Dhyanlinga where you can sit and meditate. It can also be done at home for people who don't know. Try this, go back home and close your eyes, empty your mind and call upon whoever you worship. God is within you. They have SAVE SOIL slogan and they love animals. There is bullock cart in 50° degrees carrying passengers from one place to the other. I mean we have battery cars and golf cars but they love animals and want them to know that they are loved deeply. Lets make these poor animals carry 9 people at once under the 50° degree sun. Touche! Tradition can be supported with technology too, we don't need to harm animals this way. We could barely walk in the sun and these poor animals were carrying so many people. God forgive these people who are doing this to animals 🙏 BATH FACILITY - We had shower in the morning so we didn't go shower here. I mean it's not elixir otherwise we would have definitely. DHYANLINGA - the road (walk only) leads to dhyanlinga but when its nearly 50° degrees, it makes it difficult to walk barefoot on the UNEVEN and hot surface. They could have put Carpet on the foor covering uneven surface but i guess they were short of funds and also they wanted you to feel the culture. You are going to feel that culture the next day too when your feet hurts. There were old people walking slowly and some of them were pouring water on the floor to walk on that hot surface. It was 3PM and Carpet is a must for people who aren't used to walking on the uneven hot surface. Finally when you reach dhyanlinga, they will force you to sit inside dome and meditate. We recently had an accident and couldn't sit on floot so they forced us to sit on the chair. We didn't want to be rude so we sat for 2 minutes. There was a small baby crying very softly and these CARETAKERS asked the lady to get out pointing finger as if she made a huge mistake. If they can't respect humanity, what good will come of anything they practice in life. We saw that and immediately stood up. 2 of them tried blocking our way. Well, just to be clear, We bow to God only and there was no God here. We are not slaves they need to get this to their heads. We left instantly without responding to them. By the way, the best feeling was when we bought 3 packets of biscuits and made the dog eat. He was very happy and kept coming back to give his love. That was the only good feeling we got. We made sure the dog wasn't hungry anymore and then left back for the hotel. Canteens are everywhere so don't worry if you miss one. There are more on the way. Also phones were not allowed but we noticed some of them carrying it quietly with them. The deposit box is safe. They take your photo and phone number. So nothing to worry about.

14 aug 25 - Monkey Falls is a refreshing gem nestled on the Pollachi–Valparai road, just a short drive from Aliyar Dam. The cascading water is crystal clear and cool — perfect for a quick dip or just dipping your feet in after a long ride. The sound of the falls surrounded by lush greenery makes it a calming and scenic spot for nature lovers. There’s a nominal entry fee(50) but if ur tnpl employee then you got free pass , their family gets offer (30), and the area is generally well-maintained, got dressing room for both genders. Just be cautious with your belongings — as the name suggests, curious monkeys might try to "borrow" your snacks! 🐒 Best time to visit is during or just after the monsoon, when the water flow is at its most beautiful. Ideal for a quick stopover on your way to Valparai or as a picnic spot with friends and family. But be careful as rocks are so slippery, it may cause accident. Even today one slipped and made her lips bleed. So be more cautious. Other than that enjoy 😁😁

Had an awesome experience this time! My last visit was disappointing since the falls were closed due to heavy rain, but this time I planned properly and made it. The place is absolutely refreshing, the flow is just perfect, and the whole vibe is soothing. 💧 It’s 100% worth both the money and the time. Water flow was good. Still maintainance needs to improved. Forest Departmet is telling each tourist that don't use soap, shampoo oil in the falls, but still many of them using and spoiling the environment, Rest rooms are well maintained. Better go with cash for paying entry fee though they have UPI option, mobile network is not available.

On the foot hills of the hills town Valparai is the Monkey falls which is a beautiful natural waterfall. Good place for family and friends to visit and immerse in the nature and relax. Entrance ticket 50 rs There are lot of monkeys in the place so should be careful of your belongings

Must visit falls and also easy reach here. They have constructed plain groud here just infront of falls so everyone can easily go till falls. There is also plenty of sitting place here. They also maintain changing rooms for both boys and girls. We have entry fee which is 50. It is better to visit this while returning from Valparai so that we don't get tired. They also provided supporting rods in few places for support.

Overall a nice and scenic dam with really nice gardens. A simple and nice place to visit with family. There are activities inside the dam like ropeway, boating etc which can be fun and relaxing at the same time. Can visit once or twice but not more than that.

Not well maintained at all. The ropeway was ok. If you want to go on the dam, tickets are available at park gate which no one told us so we walked all the way and then had to leave since we didn't have tickets. Park is very badly maintained with most of the attractions in a very bad state. Overall, an average visit.

Visited Palakkad Fort on a holiday and it was almost empty except for a few workers. The calm and peaceful atmosphere made it a relaxing stop. The fort is small but beautiful and beautifully maintained by ASI, there is nothing to see much but it's a quiet place in the middle of the city. Ample car and two wheeler parking is available in the fort premises. Fort is surrendered by water.

The food, stay and the hospitality by the tribal people was awesome. The only place we had issues with the guide. Better to plan in Feb or March as you can see many animals due to summer. Kudos to the food preparation

A guest house inside a deep forest maintained by kerela eco tourism. You can spot deers peacocks and sometimes elephants near this stay. The overall experience is amazing. But only drawback was even if drinking and smoking is banned here few tourist were drinking and smoking and created lot of chaos there. That ruined the place. Do not do that

Prasadam 🍛🍲is being served at nearby oottupura around 11 pm.

A very holy temple in Angadipuram. Though it is Shiva temple Bhagavathi is powerful. Mangalya pooja is famous and has to be pre-booked. Three years consecutivly it has to be done even if the marriage happens before that. There is a legend that the Sage Thirumaanthaan got a Shivling from God Shiva which was the one worshiped by Goddess Parvathi and fight ensured. For poojas one can book in counter or online. For certain poojas it has to be booked in advance. Mangalya pooja For Mangalya pooja booking has to be done in advance. On the appointed day preferably between 6 and 7 am get your receipt sealed and token number given, so that you are ahead in the que. The containers and bag is available in the prasad shop for Rs.65/- At 9.30 the Puja starts and only one person is allowed. After that prasad is given, collect it showing the token.

Lord Shiva is also here..a very old temple owned and controlled by the Malabar Devaswom Board.... maintained very neatly and cleanly...a very powerful goddess..we get very much calm and peace after darshan...a very nice temple to visit with family and friends

The scenes there was wonderful. There was so much crowd that time. We can buy the tickets and have to walk somtime to reach the top of the waterfalls. There are shops at the top. You can have tea or icecreams. Then on the right side there is a way to the view from the bottom of waterfalls. The way is somewhat adventurous. It will be difficult for people with joint issues. You have to walk down the road. The way to top is wheelchair accessible.

It's a short walk up from the roadhead - at the fork in the trail the left fork takes one to the top of the waterfall and the right fork leads one down a winding set stony steps and then a field of large rocks to the base of these wonderful waterfall. Well worth the detour to spend a couple of hours here!! There is a small fee one must pay to visit the falls. There is parking by the side of the road, but spotty cell signal.

An elephant camp by Govt. Parking available at payment. 70 Rs per ticket for people and 35 for senior citizens. 8 elephants are now here including the notorious one in the history Peelandu Chandru. Needs more maintainance. Children park is there with some rides. Also one eco shop canteen by department is available. Basic toilet facilities also available. Worth for 1 time visit

We went to this centre to see the elephants with our family. We could tell it was a great place for children to spent time in. It's a govt funded training centre for rescue elephants. The place was very quiet with lots of beautiful trees and their canopy protecting from the heat. We went their in an afternoon and it was like trekking. We had to walk through the forest like place with a pavement road in the middle and after awhile we could see some areas with protected deers and elephants. It's a great place to spent time in if you want to relax with nature and hear the birds flying through the thick trees. We can also see some areas of a lake where the elephant bathe most days. There are bamboo seats everywhere to sit and look at the greenery. We also saw some tree houses . It's a great place to enjoy nature and get some fresh air.

Kodanad elephant park is situated near Perumbavoor on the banks of Periyar River in Ernakulam district .It's one of the famous elephant training centres in Kerala Located at the distance of 45 km towards the north east of Kochiit's a place where the newly captured elephants are kept for training. Earlier, elephants were captured in the Malayattoor forests and trained at Kodanad. Though capturing Elephants are banned now and Kodanadjust become the training centre for elephants. There are many walkways beside the river that give pleasant experience to the visitors. There is a small wildlife park at the centre which is a home of deer and other wildlife.

The place has a huge area with very well maintained flora and fauna. The elephants here look healthy and friendly. A good place for a nice stroll,with fruit orchards, bamboo trees etc. A great number of deers as well as sambar deer are there. The butterfly garden is also nice. The place also has 2-3 tree houses which is yet another highlight.The place is very well maintained with a nice park, swings and some really good photo spots. Parking is also lavish.

It's a very nice place amidst nature. Such a big forest with a few big elephants and lots of deer. Spotted Deer and Sambar Deer are seen. It has a very big parking space. Take your tickets and go inside. Toilet available but no lights inside. Cafeteria available but with less options. Children park is also there even swings for the adults. One watch tower to climb up and take pictures. On the other side boating is available. It's a nice place for a day outing. Elephant Training can be seen but not allowed to go near them. Roads are well connected. No hotels nearby. Better to come in the morning and enjoy here.

Good place to visit. Very calm place and we have a handful of things arranged by the eho tourism department. Main attractions are deer Park, elephant camp, children's park and butterfly garden. We can have walk for few distance through forest and the river view and the elephant bathing pool is another attractions on this place.

Most famous temple in thrissur where thrissur pooram is celebrated. We visited there in the evening after 5pm (suggesting you the same). No dress code like traditional dress like mundu and saree in this temple. But men has to remove their shirts while visiting the main deity. After coming out we sat near the temple and watched sunset.
