On a warm, calm-sea day, this place is contemplation itself. Take in the lighthouses, but also the mirror-like shoreline as well, out to the furthest in the middle of the sea. Facilities and eateries available, and check out the cute church just a little further up the coastline.

Huge lighthouse, a tough, physical climb up 370 steps but the view from the top is worth the lung busting effort (I'm a severe asthmatic but I made it) Superbe!!

Beautiful location. Lighthouse well worth climbing if you have the nerve! Unfortunately bad smell often pervades the area , not sure but possibly from piles of rotting seaweed. I stand to be corrected on that though. Some lovely little cafe and souvenir shops here too.

307 stairs to get to the observation point on top. Unfortunately, the uppermost section was not available for visits however. The view was still great. Not a long activity though. They had discount prices for kids under 10 and for students. The gift shop right besides had good looking postcards too for tourists.

Clean nice beach. With some pré historical monument and World War II remains of bunkers and command centers of occupied German Army. It's always strong cool winds. Better have neck covers and jackets in cold weathers.

We had a great cruise over the river Odet. The trip was from Benodet to Quimper and back. We saw a great amount of house/manors. My wife and two oldest children has also a boat trip with a fast boat towards several ilands to see the great nature between benodet and the ilands. They als saw seals and a lot of birds. Great trips.

Think twice before booking the boat tour. It's not exactly cheap and we were left stranded in Quimper because we were given the wrong time for the return bus to the port by the booking office. And the bus does not hang around if you are given the right time. We arrived 2 mins late for the correct time. We rang the office for help and we were told to just get a taxi back. With 2 small children in tow and not much French language between us we are hoping to get back in time to have a full blow out with the booking office.

TOURIST TRAP: 49 Euros per person for going to a very small island were you can walk around for about 20 to 25 minutes. Nothing there to see except 2 full bars where people are drinking beers and such. The tour was boring-- most of the Glenan Islands are little pieces of land with nothing on them. Certainly overly hyped but very disappointing in person.

We took the cruise on the l'Odet up to almost Quimper. Enthousiastic guide who explains all the sights in both French and English.

They have short cruises across the Odet that only cost a couple of Euros. They also do longer cruises to St Marie. If you don't fancy a cruise then the tourist road train picks up outside every hour. Judy be careful they on Monday's they have they market so the train doesn't go to the port until the afternoon.

A small, fortified city on an island at Concarneau. We arrived at low tide, and left as the tide returned. You can walk part of the ramparts but only one ruined tower. Inside, the city consists of essentially 3 streets--1 main thoroughfare & two streets along the castle walls. Most of the buildings are restaurants and clothing or souvenir shops. A lovely view of the bay can be seen on 2 sides, while the other sides show the adjoining town. Historical signs are few & in French only. We visited on a market day, so parking was a pain. We finally found spots about a mile away. Stop on the castle walls side for a less crowded lunch. A photo opp outside L'Amiral for Magritte & Dupin mystery fans. It's free to enter the close.

Very crowdy and full of shops more or less interesting. A walk around the walls is your best option to admire the port, sea and city.

Well maintained tourist and historical venue. Views from the rampart are great looking backwards the central part of the village.

Arrive early to access parking. You can spend hours in the many boutique shops within the walls. It is like a Tardis with a lot more inside than you would have thought. Lots of shops, Cafes, and a Museum all within the walls. Enjoy the Celtic Bretagne folk music that is often played within the walls. Outside the town has many attractions too with lovely waterfront Restaurants and seafront walks. Fab place to visit.

Please check about height/age restrictions for activities before buying tickets. We have twin 7 Yr olds who are very tall for their age. There were multiple activities that they weren't permitted on as the had an "under 8" wristband. This led to lots of tears and disappointment as they were activities they have been allowed to do at similar parks in the UK. If I'd have known beforehand I would have said they were 8 at the ticket office. Other than that the park was nice, clean, safe, and well laid out. The maise maze was fun but allow at least 1 hour to complete.

Great place to go with kids, loads to do from an interactive maze to seeing pigs and goats to bouncy castles etc. Only negative is the cost is a bit high

It is OK but, although it is supposed to be a non smoking facility, many people smoke next to children and staff does not care. When some children miss behave and upset other children, staff does not care. Waterpark with inflatables got over crowded with adults who did not care for children safety and yet again staff did not care. Basically, without ASBO and with caring staff, it would be great for children

A wonderful place to spend time with the kids. There are a variety of age/height appropriate rides for kids. Plenty of picnic benches too and a restaurant if you feel like splashing out

First off the staff are extremely helpful and friendly the park has everything for baby all the way through to adult plan to spend a full day there and make sure to bring a change of clothes good dining facilities but equally great picnic areas All in all 10/10

Review from an irish, English speaking family with five children aged between 7 and 16. It's reasonably priced for an attraction when you include the bird show. Firstly there are plenty of ample free parking near the premises. We chose this aquarium as it was know for its bird show. Now although only a few, I must admit the birds they had were stunning and well kept. The overall aquarium experience is short, but my children highly enjoyed it. I must warn though, that the bird show is not spoken in any form of English, so its impossible to know what's being said without knowing the language, for us that was only slightly disappointing but when thaught about also to be expected. that being said I could tell by it, that alot of information is given and several questions answered. It's obvious a lot of work has gone into training the birds and the show. I'd highly recommend it to any French speaking tourists.

A large aquarium also with birds of prey. I always find it difficult to score such places as it's sad seeing animals in captivity. All the animals were well presented and appeared healthy (I'm not a vet). The sea life and tanks were interesting and all the information cards were in French and English.

Great place and well worth the visit. It is not particularly a big place and you do get around it quickly but the birds they have are amazing. They all seem well looked after. The aquarium section is really interesting aswell with descriptions and explanations in both English and French. The staff were all very friendly and the bird show is brilliant. It is only in French ( which is to be expected) so we did not understand what was being said but you can clearly tell they really know their stuff and the birds get so close to you. Delighted we made the trip and would highly recommend.

Really good aquarium with some unusual fish. The bird display is top notch. One of the best I've seen, with some unusual additions, including fishing cormorants. Very reasonably priced as well, with a free car park.

All in all: educational, fun, and definitely worth a visit!

There is an aviary and an aquarium on site. On Sundays the food & bar is closed but there’s an amazing blue van creperie close by 😉. The birds of prey are impressive and the kids particularly loved the jelly fish displays inside

One of the things we love about trips to France is visiting the great monuments to mans dedication to God over the past centuries. I don't care what God you believe in, these massive buildings are something to behold. And to think they built them without modern technology, building methods, etc. I find them both magnificent and awe inspiring.

I enjoyed the opportunity to climb aboard several ships and explore. Gives one an appreciation for the life of a sailors. Indoor displays were also good. Liked the exhibit on the sardine industry here.

Domaine de Trevarez was a delightful surprise! The gardens were bursting with color – flowers and trees of every variety seemed to be in bloom. The renovation has been amazing, the grounds are so well-maintained. And to top it all off, there's a charming little cafe right at the entrance, perfect for grabbing a coffee and pastry before you explore.

Really nice castle ! The visit was great and super well organized. Very different from older buildings yet still quite interesting. The view is amazing and the gardens delightful to walk around.

An interesting modern, turn of the 20c built chateau. Beautiful walking on mature woodland paths and gardens.The house is undergoing a major renovation but there are areas to visit. Frequent events and exhibitions take place throughout the year when café facilities are available in the old stables. Recommended.

Small village with a harbour, if you pass it you can have a coffee here, but I didn't think it was really that great for an excursion. There is a very old church, a ship cemetery and a harbour with several rather mediocre restaurants. Our highlight was the "Terrible Bistro", a nice little bistro with lots of young art on the walls and numerous illustrated books.

Tour Vauban is a late 17th-century tower overlooking a marina and a boat cemetery and is surrounded by a tidal moat with a drawbridge. This historic fortification was built in 1694 and was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008 as part of the "Fortifications of Vauban" group. Lovely Abbey to visit. Allow at least 2hrs to take it all in.

Visited on a rainy day and this place saved us from the drizzle, two small kids had fun. Lots of little activities left out for kids, good animations of history stories, traditional clothing, helmets and shields to try on too. Clearly had a fair bit of investment in its setup, the ruins themself didn't seem particularly spectacular but the museum made up for that for us. Not a lot in the village, a crêpe restaurant and a simple cafe that sold sandwiches. We visited the cafe as the restaurant (more upmarket) said they were full (perhaps they didn't want soggy kids), the lady in the cafe was lovely and made huge simple baguette sandwiches for us, very basic, I imagine it hasn't changed in many many years. That's not a complaint. Free parking for all vehicles next to the tourist information, or some parking at the museum. Few motorhomes that had probably been next to the tourist information place for a few days.

Came here for the a concert of a celtic harp. The ruins of an ancient abbey provided the unforgettable ambiance for the beautiful celtic music.

Great view over Brest harbour. Good description of the historical remains. Parking very close to the Point. Small museum with tours in various languages. It is part of a larger string of fortifications along the coast that were build to protect the harbour of Brest.

Good views we followed the guide book but could have missed this Pointe de Pen Hir and Pointe de Dinan had more to offer

Very nice place to visit but during times of corona it can be a little busy. Close to this, there is a lot of parking which is on gravel but easly accessible. Also close to this are amazing views over Brest and the ocean.

Beautiful view on Brest. We were not there for long, cause just after we arrived, a man I did not know approached us, carrying around a (loaded?) automatic rifle, wearing camouflage clothing. He was talking to us. He could only speak French. Luckily, some bystanders explained that he was a soldier: we had to move our car.

It's one of those amazing points in camaret that's truly beautiful , plus for those people who loves taking photos it's perfect , and is a historic place as well .

Great place for an easy hike in the forests. The hiking trails are easily accessible through the town of Huelgoat. I recommend to visit the following places: La Grotte de Diablo, Cap d'Artus and Grotte d'Artus. I recommend to plan for at leas half a day to enjoy this place without any stresses.

Amazing place, free to walk round, lots of options on length of walk. Lots of corners to explore. Fun for adults and children. Back pack easier with toddlers. Some steep drops.

Nice forest with big granit rocks, a beautiful canal and an old town nearby

One of the most magical places I've been to. The forest is quite massive and has loads of places to visit, I went for my birthday with my SO and we both had an amazing time. Heading into the forest you will see incredible natural views and even some wildlife. The fountains you find there are nothing but magical and you truly feel something special walking around in this forest.

A very interesting place to visit and walk. Take strong shoes and you will need to climb to a degree. The trip down to the Devils Cave is worth making but involves steep steps and ducking under rocks. For the not able bodied the lake opposite is beautiful and there are many cafés and restaurants nearby.

One of the best parish churches we have seen on our life. Definitely worth a visit !!

There are quite a few of these Parish Close' to visit we didn't manage them all as it was so hot and the beach was calling but if you like this sort of history as we do they all tell a different story and added together they show a great historical story of Bretagne

For us the best of all the parish closes around here.

We haven't been there for many years and by looking at the guide book it must have been around 2010 or 2011, before the wonderful trees that are there now had grown. It was sad to see the old Pidgeons house covered in ivy, at that time it was a beautiful building to see, the château seems to be slowly being overgrown as well in places, having said that it is an amazing place to visit, the staff are extremely helpful, the cafe very good, do try the fruit drinks chilled. We will be visiting again as ther was just too much to see and we want to walk around the old moat area. The exhibition of old furniture is not to be missed, so glad it was able to be saved and now seen. Thanks to all.

Beautiful place. Small castle but really nice. The tour is well sign posted. People lived in it not that long ago. The plus is that your entry ticket will allow discount on other touristic places as far as Brest.

Beautiful old castle. We were here on a summer Saturday evening when there was as well a fire show and live medieval music. The evening was ended by an impressive light show.

It is just a little chateau 🏰 but the history of this place is really nicely documented and how life was in the old days. A lot of films and animations are shown. Some of the rooms are dedicated to exhibitions and on our visit they showed old world maps 🌎. Children 7-17 1€, 17-25 4€, Adults 8€ - worth every cent :-)

Building has a nice shape, but don’t go expecting more than one step above a ruin. Empty rooms or a bit of cabinetry and furniture from the area, but very spartan.

It was fun and interesting. Loved getting dressed up and going back in time. Café was lovely and very friendly waitresses.

The fort itself is pretty cool, definitely worth a visit. I found the history to be even more exciting though! 4/5 stars because there is not that much to see/do.

We enjoyed the boat tour and appreciated that the guide book had English wording. The trip could be enhanced by providing some basic commentary in English. On arrival at the fort we found ourselves in a big crowd listening to the tour guide speak French. We didn't want to leave as it felt rude. It would have helped if the tour guide let us know in English that the non French speakers were free to leave and to explore the fort. Overall we enjoyed the trip.

Excellent organization of the visit from the start, with a straightforward, informative website, to picking up our tickets, to the boat shuttle. Knowledgeable staff too - and don't forget the gift shop. Quick, the last bell is ringing - don't miss your trip back to the mainland!

A beautifully restored coastal fort with much effort put into informing and interpreting its usage and siting, along with the history of the site. A great little self guided tour - the information boards are in both French and English - thankyou! Its worth visiting the gift shop for some unique presents too.

Very interesting but do check the times of the boat trips as soon as you arrive on your holiday, we nearly missed out due to high tides.

Nice, tropical garden on the end of an small island. The previous owner did great planting it all, and the staff that is now taking care of the place keeps working on the nice base laid for them. Only culprit was that we got lost at some point and couldn't find or follow the arrows on the path (so we just continued our visit lemming style).
