If you're seeking a slice of paradise, look no further than the enchanting Hong Islands, or Mu Koh Hong, located just off Krabi's coast. This stunning archipelago features a collection of pristine islands, some so small they lack beaches while others boast breathtaking stretches of white sand like Koh Lo and Koh Saga. A visit here is incomplete without embarking on a guided kayaking adventure through these serene waters.
500 steps UP and 500 steps DOWN - legs shaking at the end, sweaty all over - was it worth it? Absolutely. Every bit of the steep step to the top was worth it as soon as I laid my eyes on the view in front of us. It was majestic, it was beautiful, it was all the adjectives you can think of. The climb to the top is challenging, if you are on the heavier side or not much accustomed to physical activities. There is a resting place about halfway where you can take a break and then start off again. As the second part is the more steep and takes a lot of energy. But think it through before you start the climb, we have seen a lot of people who climbed mid way but got too tired to neither continue to the top or return back. But the view from the top is magical. Perfect for nature and adventure lovers.
Shamik L — Google review
The 360° Viewpoint at Koh Hong offers impressive panoramic views once you reach the top — the surrounding islands, turquoise waters, and dramatic cliffs are a photographer’s dream. That said, the climb is quite steep and involves a lot of stairs — definitely not for everyone, especially in the heat. There’s no shade along the way, and the steps can be slippery if it’s rained, so proper footwear is a must. While the view is rewarding, the effort required might not feel entirely worth it for some, especially when the island below already offers plenty of scenic spots. A decent experience overall, but manage your expectations and come prepared.
Javed_mate — Google review
A short 15-minute climb takes you to the top, where you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful 360-degree panoramic view — absolutely worth the effort. It’s also home to the only clean beach in the area that’s truly suitable for swimming and playing. A perfect spot for both a light adventure and a relaxing beach day!
Lemonhao88 — Google review
Gorgeous views to the Andaman See. The stairs are quite steep but if you climbed already to the Tiger Cave, to reach this viewpoint won’t be difficult.
Aga M — Google review
It's a hard, sweaty climb. You need good functional knees and a lot of sunscreen. Drink water and take it slow. At least the stairs are modern and equal. The view is fantastic! It takes about 20-25 minutes at a moderate pace to reach the top. After you go down, i recommend the nearby beach

Nature & Parks
Khao Phanom Bencha National Park is a lush and stunning natural reserve, home to indigenous wildlife, plants, flowers and waterfalls. The park boasts a beautiful waterfall that is easily accessible without the need for an extensive hike. However, it's important to heed the signs as getting lost in the nature trail can happen. The park has friendly staff who take great care of the area, which includes two waterfalls with several levels.
Such a beautiful piece of nature. Beautiful waterfalls and tons of places to swim in the clear, cool water flowing from the mountains. Very much worth the 220 baht I paid for the entry on a motorcycle. The place must be unknown to farangs because I was there in December(high season) and I was the only one. Not often you get a chance to skinny dip in such a cool place, finally got some tan on my pale ass. I didn't get to explore the ~3km trail heading up the mountain as it was closed due to recent rains. I still loved it very much and will come back any chance I get.
Dmitriy O — Google review
A must see - beautiful park. Easy walking paths, temple, can hire a car to wander I heard, can camp - not sure if overnight allowed. Easy walking paths, lush green and peaceful. Ticket price - 100 THB for foreign nationals.
Almas D — Google review
Fantastic hike with a rather dangerous trail. Please go well prepared with hiking boots and leech-proof socks and shoes. It’s quite a challenging hike due to the climb at the start (we did the circle trail) If you plan to just go for the waterfall, it’ll be much easier to go from the other end of the trail (~10mins) . But the hike itself was very enjoyable and very very challenging. May actually go again (TW: Blood ; Note the blood in the media is only from leeches and nothing else)
Water G — Google review
Just stunning, humid but well shaded for the most part, the waterfall walk is fabulous. Good footware is required for the top two sections of the path which goes from path to rock walkway to steps and the basicly a slight boulder climb to the top section. Plenty of little pools to along the way in which to submerge yourself. Lots of wildlife around, a great day out
Chris A — Google review
Amazing escape into nature with trails and hikes leading up to the waterfalls. There are levels to the waterfall and can dip into the pool on every level to cool down.
Tansif R — Google review
Khao Phanom Bencha National Park in Krabi, Thailand, is a pristine destination perfect for nature enthusiasts. The park offers well-maintained hiking paths that take you deep into lush rainforest landscapes, surrounded by limestone cliffs and vibrant flora. One of the main highlights is the Huay To Waterfall, a stunning multi-tiered waterfall with crystal-clear pools ideal for a refreshing swim. The park is a paradise for birdwatchers and wildlife lovers, with diverse species to discover. Entrance is reasonably priced at 100 baht for foreigners, making it an affordable escape into nature’s beauty.
Alex — Google review
Had a fabulous time with the waterfall trail. You can spend 3-4 hours just having fun. This is a wonderful place if walks and climbs excite you. You can bathe in a waterfall too. There is a clean toilet and a juice cafe at the entrance. You need to buy tickets.
Saswat M — Google review
A hike there is one of the absolut best thing to do from Ao Nang or Krabi. Get a hiking app like alltrails for details and prepare seriously. The hikes are easy if you got good shoes and if you know how to walk on a mountain path.

Neighborhoods
Koh Panyi is a unique floating village with a captivating history. The community, built by Javanese immigrants due to land ownership laws, features colorful homes and offers an authentic look into local fishing life. While the village is Muslim and lacks alcohol-serving shops, it boasts delicious homemade food and a buffet halal restaurant. Visitors can explore the stunning limestone views and observe the villagers' livelihood of fishing. However, swimming is not recommended due to direct sewage disposal into the water.
Cute little gem of an island. A good lunch spot for a day trip to explore the islands and attractions around here. Very nice people, good coffee spot, very clean and tidy every corner of the island, which was very impressive. The island could be a very good example for other tourists attractions in Thailand on waste management.
Ji P — Google review
Lovely island made completely from houses on stilt. It was part of our tour and we had lunch there. The buffet was delicious, seriously better than some restaurants I visited. There are lots of shops to visit. I just found people selling a little bit too pushy.
Anna S — Google review
We visited the village after our trip to James bond island. It is a floating market with plenty of shops to shop for Thailand items. Floating stadium is the highlight of the place. Lunch available is very good and tasty.
Rajashekar M — Google review
Frankly, not on my visit-again list. Not many places disappoint me, but this place surely did. It is a dismal slum on the sea with a desperate attempt to be made presentable to tourists. The restaurants leave everything to be desired for in terms of food. Please do not try the ‘Indian’ food here, it is a crime-in-a-buffet which I only tried because everything else was unpalatable. We had Sri Lankans & Americans in the same group who were equally disgusted. The view ofcourse was awesome without any credit to the village in itself.
Jayessh T — Google review
Ko Panyi is a fascinating little floating island near Phuket — truly a must-visit spot! Our tour guide took us here on the way back from James Bond Island, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the day. The village, built entirely on stilts over the water, is an incredible example of how people have adapted to life at sea. We had superb food at one of the local restaurants — fresh, flavorful, and authentic Thai taste. Walking around the floating village, seeing the small shops and the local way of life, was an amazing experience. I also managed to get some drone shots, which looked absolutely stunning from above! However, a word of caution — do not fly your drone unless you have proper registration and permission from the Thai authorities. Every drone flight needs to be registered through the CAAT app , and flying without approval can lead to serious trouble. Overall, Ko Panyi is a wonderful and unique place, offering a perfect blend of scenic beauty, culture, and great food. Highly recommended!
Tarunjyoti T — Google review
We visited Koh Panyi on a day trip through the islands. Worth a visit but not too much to see there besides the floating soccer field 😊⚽️🥅🏟️. Some souvenir shops and some places for food and drinks on the water side.
Stevo T — Google review
Loved it. Unique place. Especially loved seeing the school.
Lisa W — Google review
Interesting but Mixed Experience at the Floating Village This floating village is almost a must-visit. Home to around 300 families, it’s a fascinating place that offers a real glimpse into local life. You can, for example, see children attending school, which adds a very authentic touch to the experience. The village is mostly made up of shops and stalls selling a wide range of products, though many of them are of questionable quality. At times, the vendors can be quite pushy. Unfortunately, the village itself is not in great condition — there’s visible litter everywhere, including in the water, which is a bit disappointing. It’s a shame the residents don’t take more care of their environment. It’s highly recommended to visit the village with a guide, as you’ll receive valuable background information about its history and daily life. We had lunch at the Koh Panyee Village Restaurant, which was surprisingly good. This fairly modern restaurant stands out from the rest of the village and offers a pleasant dining experience.

Tree Top Adventure Park Thailand offers an exhilarating jungle zip line experience with various routes of different difficulty levels. The friendly and professional staff ensures a safe and enjoyable visit, set against a stunning natural backdrop. While the park is currently under construction, this does not detract from the overall experience. With four courses of varying difficulty, visitors can enjoy a range of adventure activities in the jungle while being guided by articulate and friendly instructors. Safety measures are well-implemented throughout the park.
This is great place for Adventure activities in the jungle. They have 4 courses of different difficulty level. Each course has a lot of items to cover. The instructors are articulate and very friendly. The safety measures are pretty good.

Wilko P — Google review
We had such an amazing time at the zipline course! The staff was awesome! There are lockers to secure your stuff and water to keep you hydrated. The photos don't do this place justice. The red course was the most exciting for sure!!!

It was full of emotions , I screamed 😱, cried😅, smiled ☺️ at the same time , I had a wonderful time , I will definitely recommend this place 💯not only because they offer a thousands of activities but also because they care more about safety, whether you like adventure or not it’s a must try, they even offer lunch /and water 💦

We went to the Krabi one and it was absolutely amazing! You get safety trained and then an instructor takes you round the course. We had a great instructor called Jame who was absolutely fabulous. The views are amazing and the zip lining part was so incredibly thrilling. They also give you a delicious lunch. An amazing day and I highly recommend this to anyone who is near this place. I will definitely go back when I’m back in Thailand.
Bex — Google review
We arrived on a motorbike without prior reservation and were immediately greeted by the staff. After safety training, we went on all four courses. They were all very enjoyable, the black one was the only one physically demanding for us. Because of double safety, I wasn't really scared of the height. We had a lot of fun, well worth the visit!
Vendula V — Google review
Brilliant zipline - felt very safe, me and my husband turned up on the day, did the training course and went around with a guide. Brilliant views. Great courses (really fun broomstick rides etc) from beginner to more adventurous. Definitely worth the drive from Krabi Town.

Phang Nga Elephant Park in Thailand offers ethical and unforgettable experiences with Asian elephants. The park, nestled within lush vegetation, provides the opportunity to feed, bathe, and walk alongside these gentle giants in their natural habitat. With a focus on ethical treatment and care for over 150 years by the same family, visitors can partake in various tours such as the Family Elephant Experience.
The people are so nice and amazing! They treat the elephants very well and it was an amazing experience! I would recommend everyone to come and check this out and by coming here you are supporting these rescued elephants! And they allow you to bath with the elephants and clean them so bring a change of clothes
Jezda U — Google review
Without a doubt, this was the most magical experience. We booked a 4 hour early morning trip through Get Your Guide where we were picked up from our hotel approximately 1 hour from the sanctuary. We were greeted by Joy who was our guide for the day and took us through some really interesting educational points regarding the elephants and the history behind the sanctuary. We then took a 15 minute walk through the jungle and down a river to collect our elephants, for us to then bathe them in the river before walking them to the main part of the sanctuary, where we observed their daily health checks by the keepers and then fed them their breakfast. There was only 3 of us who had booked onto that trip (a solo traveller, my partner and myself) so we were able to be up close to our elephants during the entire visit. Brunch was provided after our mornings activities, which was delicious amd served in the most beautiful setting. I would strongly recommend taking this trip to invest in a good pair of water shoes as the river walk was slippery and fast flowing in places. You are informed of anything else you may need to bring with you prior to your arrival. This experience will was a dream come true, a massive Thanks to Joy and all the incredible Keepers at the Sanctuary who do such an incredible job.
Eleanor F — Google review
We visited today as a couple, and it was incredible to see how lovingly the elephants are treated there. Our guide was super kind and took so much time for us. The Pad Thai we had there was also really delicious. I can recommend everyone to visit this place, and if I could, I’d give more than 5 stars. We’ll definitely come back the next time we’re in Thailand.
Ellen S — Google review
This was our first time seeing elephants and it was the best! One of our best experiences while in Thailand. We wanted to come to an ethical sanctuary and we’re so glad we came here. Ammy our guide was great. His english was really good and made the whole experience fun for us. He took lots of pictures and videos for us and explained everything really well.
Nicole G — Google review
The park claims to be ethical and it is easy to confuse this park with the real ethical elephant sancturary KES when booking a package activity tour. The elephant’s here don’t have their own choice as they are fed and bathed for each tourist group and caretakers are strict and have sticks to hit the elephants when they do not behave as they want. The restaurant food was good and they are taking care of the elephants but it is not enough to call it “ethical”. Until they stop the above mentioned tourist activities and physical taming I would not recommend this place. Such a shame.
WinP3nalty — Google review
This place is amazing, the staff, knowledge, education & how they treat the animals. They did a great job making us feel welcome & ensuring we had lots of personal time with the elephant. We got to walk with the elephant, feed it, pet, bathe and massage the elephant with a scrubbing brush. They taught us how they care for the elephant. The food was also amazing.

*5 ★ Amazing Experience at the Elephant Sanctuary in Phang Na* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I just got back from the Elephant Sanctuary in Phang Na and it blew me away! 🌿🐘 From the moment we arrived, the vibe was calm, caring, and totally immersive. Joy was our guide and she absolutely made the day. She’s lovely, super pleasant, and ridiculously knowledgeable—she answered every question (even the weird ones) with a smile and such passion for the elephants. Walking through the sanctuary, she pointed out subtle behaviours and shared cool facts that made the experience feel personal and intimate. If you’re in Phang Na, this sanctuary is a must‑visit. Joy’s guidance turned a simple tour into an unforgettable, heart‑warming experience. Highly recommend! 🙌✨

Most amazing experience, the people were so kind and we fed the elephants lots of bananas and leaves. The elephants were clearly very loved and taken care of. The walk through the palm trees with them was so cool and at the end we had some lovely tea and biscuits and they dropped us back at the hotel!

We visited the sanctuary in April 2025. There are 3 old elephants, that are taken care of by the humans. They walk freely on the territory of the sanctuary and you can come, watch and feed them a couple times a day. Great experience of being next to these amazing creatures
Alla V — Google review
This was truly one of the most incredible experiences of our lives. At the sanctuary, we had the opportunity to care for these magnificent, gentle giants under the guidance of the sanctuary staff — or “rangers,” as I would gladly call them. The visit began with an informative session about the elephants — their nature, their past, and how many of them had been exploited by previous owners. We learned how harmful it is for elephants to be ridden or used for transportation, which sadly still happens in some places. Here, instead, we got to feed them and help wash them in the river. Getting up close to these amazing animals and interacting with them in such a respectful, natural way was truly unforgettable. One very important tip: bring clothes you don’t mind getting very dirty — think mud, water, and everything in between. Also, bring swimwear or a change of clothes. You’ll get soaked — and it’s absolutely worth it!
Fur K — Google review
Amazing experience. These elephants are so gentle. We fed them leaves and bananas, had a walk with them and just observed their behaviour. Their caretakers are also very gentle and love to explain the history of each elephant. Sadly there were 3 but one of them died 2 months ago. Take the 1,5 h tour, and support a good case.
Valerie A — Google review
Kind family that cares about the elephants. All three elephants have been rescued. The newest one had only arrived 10 days earlier and they were watching her carefully. We purchased the 1.5 hour tour and felt it was perfect for us. We took photos, touched, fed, and walked with the elephants.
Patti N — Google review
Amazing experience seeing these majestic animals in their natural habitat. This ethical Elephant Sanctuary treats the elephants extremely well, not allowing bathing with or riding the elephants. They were explaining very well about the elephants and you can clearly notice they care for them a lot. Hugely recommended if you want to see elephants, and you want to do it the right way! The people from the sanctuary were also extremely helpful and friendly, offering me a ride back to my hostel. Very pleasant experience!
Camille R — Google review
I went to the Khao Sok Elephant Conservation Centre with the excitement of meeting an elephant. The experience of seeing them and feeding them for a few minutes was amazing, but I believe it should not be daily or last so long. Seeing them for just a couple of minutes is more than enough. Interactions like bathing or hugging them are not part of their natural behavior and can make the experience worse, leaving visitors with a negative impression of the centre. Tourists who truly want to care for the elephants will pay for that anyway, and you should be more conscious in this regard and avoid forced interactions. Observing them from a distance and feeding them briefly is sufficient, respecting their life and wellbeing.
Yohanna C — Google review
Very good elephant sanctuary. Elephants are old. They are treated well and taken care properly. The property is large enough to care elephants. Staffs are kind and decent. Their programmes are well organised so there is no time for wasting. Elephants stroll and move freely even staffs don’t have sticks! I also participated in their day tour for lake. It was also great and cheap!

Khao Sok National Park, located in Surat Thani province, is a vast expanse of ancient rainforest and limestone cliffs. Visitors can spend their time hiking, exploring caves, and searching for wildlife. The park's Cheow Larn Lake offers surreal experiences with its mist-shrouded limestone formations and dense jungle surroundings. The area is home to diverse flora and fauna including monkeys, colorful birds, tigers, and unique plant species.
There are a handful of must-see places in Thailand, this is one, without a doubt. Doesn't matter if it's a day trip or overnight on the floating bungalows, do not miss this. A damn built in the 80s that basically flooded a whole region, so an artificial, giant lake in a biome that would normally not have one. Witness man playing God. Caves, jungle walks/hikes, wildlife, lush tropical forest and a cool story of how it all came to be. Words are hard to describe the enormity of this park and the awe you feel navigating it.

I would definitely recommend a day trip to this park, with its huge lake, when you are visiting the Khao Lok area. We had a guided day tour (which I would recommend to see everything) and it was a memorable and enjoyable trip. We stopped at the Three Sisters limestone formations for some photos, and cruised around the lake. We stopped at one of the numerous and unique floating hotels here for lunch, and did some swimming and kayaking. Definitely add it to your list of “must dos” when you are visiting Khao Lok.

One of the highlights of our stay in the area, definitely worth booking a trip to see Khao Sok and Cheow Lan Lake. Fantastic scenery! It’s easy to book a private longtail boat on GetYourGuide. We had a hire car and drove to the park from Khao Lak.

Definitely a must-visit when in Thailand! 🇹🇭✅ My husband and I rented a private boat for 3 hours, including a swimming stop for an hour, and we truly enjoyed the trip. The beauty of Mother Nature gave us goosebumps — absolutely breathtaking! 😍✨

Khao Sok National Park is an absolutely stunning place — one of the most beautiful natural spots in Thailand. The scenery is breathtaking, with dramatic limestone cliffs, lush jungle, and a peaceful lake. There are plenty of activities like canoeing, hiking, and boat tours that let you truly enjoy the nature. Everything feels calm and magical. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature and adventure!

I would definitely recommend doing a 2 day 1 night tour as you get to see loads of the national parks sights and you get to wake up on the lake which in my case was spectacular. However be prepared for very basic overnight conditions but it made no difference to us.

A beautiful park, I'd definitely recommend visiting if you're in Khao Sok!! Although everyone speaks about the lake tours as if this is the only activity in Khao Sok, we found this amazing park full of beautiful scenery of many types - a wild jungle, divine waterfalls & stunning rivers. Entrance fee is 200 baht per person, and you can either enter on your own and walk until a limited point (about 6km back & forth) or you can take a guide and walk further. If you do decide to take a guide, make sure to book them in advance. We decided to walk on our own, so we have more privacy, and it took us about 3 hours long, including some stops on the way, and dipping in the amazing Wing Hin waterfall. To conclude, if you're looking for a more unique and custom made experience in Khao Sok, this is definitely a most visit.

While I loved the park and everything about it, I'd like to bring to attention this boatman guy/ guide, and request all to avoid him to have a stress free trip. This guy speaks no English, and if he does, refuses to talk- as a guide, that is one of the major things one should do. He smoked weed/ some narcotic, made us pay for kayaking (which we had already paid for to our tour operator) - since it was only a 100Baht per person, the three of us who had booked the boat privately paid again because this guy refused to communicate. At the caves, he walked on at his own pace, shining the light randomly, and made to exit within 5 minutes. Thankfully we latched onto another group who had an English speaking guide to make sense of the wonders of the cave. We managed to click a whipping scorpion and a cricket with that group- a stark difference. After leaving the cave, he stopped in the middle of the water to light another joint, at which point we thought it a good idea to fly our professional camera drone for some photography. As soon as our drone gained some height, the boatman moved the boat forward, when we shouted at him with sign language to stop the boat. While landing the drone, since the boat had moved, the drone fell into the water, just short distance from where the boatman sat. Had he not been stoned enough, he could have moved his hand and caught the drone. The drone fell into the water, the boatman looked at the drone, looked at us, and shrugged his shoulders as if to say, your problem. The complain I wish to raise, is that this guy was so stoned, that if a human would have fallen off, he would simply have let the person drown, despite wearing a life jacket and knowing how to swim. Since we had to leave to catch our connecting flight from Phuket to Chiang Mai, we didn't have time to officially complain. In case anyone reads this, please ensure to avoid this guide. For your own well being.

Rajjaprabha Dam, a towering rural dam constructed in 1987 to generate electricity and facilitate irrigation, is a serene getaway offering refreshing experiences. Though remote and not easily accessible by road, the place boasts of clear blue waters surrounded by mountains and sky. The water's emerald color enhances its beauty under the sunny weather.

Such a breathtaking place - I’ve never felt as calm and at peace as I did when I was there. Although the weather wasn’t the brightest that day, it didn’t take away from the experience. It was truly a marvellous time. 1000/10 ⭐️🤩

True natural beauty unfolds across the vast Cheow Lan Lake and dramatic limestone landscapes above Rajjaprabha Dam. With deep emerald waters, floating raft accommodation, and unmatched sunrise views, it’s easy to see why it’s called “Guilin of Thailand.” Visitors can enjoy boat tours, kayaking, guided cave treks, or just relax aboard a floating lodge in serene surroundings. Accommodation ranges from basic floats to nicer raft houses—cheap, charming, and close to nature. Open daily 08:00–18:00. Located in Ban Ta Khun District, Surat Thani Province, the site is easily reachable via Highway 401 or chartered boats from nearby piers. A top highlight of Khao Sok National Park and a must-see for travelers craving breathtaking scenery and peaceful escapes.

Surat Thani City Pillar Shrine, also known as San Lak Muang, is a well-maintained symbol of the city located in the heart of Surat Thani. The shrine is made entirely from the wood of the Golden Shower Tree and is beautifully lit up at night, resembling a castle from a Disney movie. It's open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and visitors can purchase flowers and incense sticks at the entrance.
Really cool. Free entrance. There were even people running around it while others were offering flowers and coloured stripes to the gods. A lovely place.

“Surat Thani Pillar Shrine: A Hidden Gem of Ancient Energy” The Surat Thani Pillar Shrine is a truly mesmerizing place. The moment you step inside, you can feel a unique energy flowing through the building—almost as if the very ethers are being pulled through its walls. This shrine holds an air of ancient wisdom, a quiet power that connects you to the deep history of the region. It’s not just beautiful; it’s a spiritual experience that invites reflection and awe. A must-visit for anyone seeking a connection to ancient knowledge and the tranquil energy of the past. 🛕

The Surat Thani City Pillar Shrine is a true gem in the city of Surat Thani and a place that every visitor should definitely experience. As soon as you enter the shrine, you will be amazed by the impressive architecture and tranquil atmosphere. The intricately designed statues and the loving attention to detail reflect the rich culture and tradition of Thailand. The central pillar, which is considered a symbol of the city, is particularly impressive. It is not only a spiritual place for the locals, but also a fascinating photo opportunity for tourists. You immediately feel the peaceful energy that surrounds this place and it is easy to get caught up in the moment. Many people come here to pay their respects and ask for luck for their families and friends. The location of the shrine is also excellent. Surrounded by lush greenery and close to several other important attractions, it is perfect for a relaxing stroll. Access to this sacred place is easy and the surrounding area is clean and well maintained. Overall, I highly recommend the Surat Thani City Pillar Shrine. Whether you are looking for spirituality, a cultural experience or just a peaceful place, this shrine offers all that and more. An absolute must for any Surat Thani visitor!

Nice little shrine to walk through if you’re passing by, but it’s not worth travelling for otherwise. The place is lit up beautifully at night although they close it so you can’t get close by. In daytime it’s nice to sit by for a short while and just relax as it’s very quiet without many visitors.

Ideal for kayaking and snorkeling enthusiasts, the park offers organized tours that guide you through hidden lagoons and secret caves while providing all necessary equipment.
Ang Thong is stunning! The water is clear and calm, perfect for swimming and relaxing. Hiking up to the viewpoint was really tough and exhausting, but once you reach the top, the view is absolutely breathtaking. Totally worth the effort!

We have been here with a guided tour in 3 small islands and 1 snorkeling spot and has been an amazing experience! The National Marine Park is pristine and you can visit from beautiful beaches to a breathtaking view points. We have managed to enjoy some relaxing time and to prove our self on really tough trails to reach the viewing points, but has been worth it! We have been so lucky to find monkeys with babies during one of thr trail and to see some huge and colored fishes in the snorkeling point. The emerald lagoon is amazing aswell! If you are here around you cannot miss this.

Absolutely stunning marine park with turquoise water, limestone islands, and breathtaking viewpoints. The scenery is incredible, both from the boat and from the hilltop trails. Snorkeling and kayaking are great ways to explore the area. Well organized tours and respectful handling of nature. A must-visit when staying around Koh Samui or Koh Phangan.

The view was absolutely breathtaking, a solid 10/10. But happy cardio to climb in 500 M. 🤪 I’m so grateful to have had the chance to experience such beauty in my lifetime. It really highlights how important it is to have a climbing partner who can encourage you along the way. 💗

Wide variety of activities to do from hiking to scenic viewpoints, swimming, snorkeling, hanging out at the beach, and watching wild life. Had a good experience traveling to this island from Koh samui via Grand Sea discovery.
David T — Google review
Wonderful trip, we got everything we needed, they took great care of us, Mr. Thai was very funny and kind, and his jokes made the whole day even better. The hike to the viewpoint took 20–40 minutes depending on experience and fitness level. A must-do is kayaking (if you don’t go kayaking, you’ll end up waiting on a crowded beach). We booked it through GetYourGuide.
Barbora Č — Google review
My honest review would be that I was not expecting this tour to be as exhausting as it was. I appreciate the operator and the tour guides, and the views are nice. However, the travel time from the pier to the first island is quite long, which already drains my energy. Then, the nature trail to the viewpoint is another exhausting one. The tour guides can mention in advance that if they are interested, they can hike. I cannot recommend this tour to those who are weak in endurance. Plus, I think the trail is not just 500 meters long. So, I decided to go down after the next stop. There is less time at the beach to explore and swim. The lunch provided is so-so. The kayaking was also too much with the distance. It was quite exhausting, and we were not informed that it would be very far, plus the waves were strong. If you can find another island tour aside from this, I recommend choosing that instead.

I had a wonderful experience at View Seafood Resort! The resort's minimal style by the sea was absolutely delightful. The beach was stunning, with shades of blue water that were breathtakingly beautiful. The accommodation was comfortable, and the seafood served at the resort was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing seaside getaway.

After reading reviews I was doubting about visiting this place… but absolutely worthwhile to visit. Great Island with a fantastic white beach and and great snorkeling opportunities right next to the beach. Perfect thai food, people are proud on what they cook! Staff is very friendly. People who really look for an luxury environment should not go here: the rooms are perfectly fine, but need some refurbishment, same like the pool and other things on the island. But if you can look past these flaws, you will have a great stay! No doubt about it!

Are you looking for a relaxing place with all the comforts? Koh Talu is the place for you. Everything was perfect. Very helpful, kind and smiling staff. The girls at the reception are lovely and helped me in different situations. The manager, mister Thu, makes you feel at home. I completed the open water diver course. The people at the restaurant are very sociable. I spent some wonderful moments at sea with the guys from the dive center, mister Boy and Egg. The food is very good. The bungalows is simple and very comfortable. There are many activities ideal for 3 days: snorkelling, kayaking, fishing, sup, turtle, trekking in the jungle to see the sunrise etc etc Thank you so much See you soon Koh Talu

Staying here at Koh Talu was one of the best experiences/ trips I have ever done. I stayed here 3 nights and I can’t wait to come back again. I went snorkeling many times, I went fishing, I went kayaking, i hiked to a viewpoint , I relaxed in the beautiful beach. I went octopus fishing and caught 4 octopus and they made sashimi for us. Also they have a spot for sea turtle conservation. I fed the turtles fish. It was really cool. The food everyday was incredible, 3 times per day. There was so much food, fruit, deserts. All the workers are friendly and took good care of us. The room was nice and cozy. The AC was good. Everything was clean. Mr. Tu took care of everything on the island and made sure the stay was incredible. Honestly this is probably my favorite spot in Thailand now

Not sure what scam they are running but I hope this review gets managements attention We were a family of 9 that was looking forward to visit the island and I was looking forward to do an honest Google and Youtube review. However the trip ende before even starting because of their dishonest pricing and conflicting information. On their website all prices and information are clearly stated. On the website it also says: "Exclusive Privilege for Koh Talu On Shore Guests. Enjoy an easy day trip to Koh Talu — just 20 steps from the hotel to our private pier and a 20-minute boat ride — at a special price of only 1,200 THB (regular price 1,600 THB) for guests booking through Direct Booking only." I reached out to their sales office by e-mail to make a reservation for hotel and daytour and received this reply: "The One Day Trip price to Koh Talu that you saw is indeed a special rate, but it is only available when booking directly through our website. If you are interested, you may proceed to book your room along with the day trip activity directly on our website. " So as instructed I followed the information and downloaded Line and sent a reservation request online. They did anwser fast but wrote: "Sorry, what you see is an old promotion and the price is not available during long holidays." I am sorry to say that these conditions were nowhere stated on their website and as the mistake is apparently on their side they should honor it. Being 9 adults a 400thb difference still ends up to be quite much. Due to all this, we decided to cancel everything and spend our money somewhere else as I do not believe this was properly managed by the resort.

We had a great time there although the weather was not as nice as we wished. The food was delicious: every meal was great. There are activities that you can join. The whole team is very nice friendly and professional. We would definitely revisit when we have a chance in the future. Thank you!

Took a day trip, arranged by the resort. The service was good and the island was beautiful. It’s a good day trip from Hua Hin for anyone who wants an island adventure. The speed board was smooth and not crowded. The buffet lunch was good and had good selection. The turtle sanctuary was quite interesting and had many turtles to see. Was please to see some newborn turtles about to be released. It’s a good conservation effort and well worth a visit.

Firstly you should come early in the morning so you can enjoy the silence and spirit of that stunning tempel. There is a big golden Buddha next to the car park , and after that take a short walk up to the main temple. Ao Manao beach is a stunning location in Thailand that often escapes the attention of tourists. Despite this, it undoubtedly ranks as one of the country's most picturesque beaches. The wide expanse of clean sand and shallow waters make for a beautiful setting to relax and take in the natural beauty around you. However, visitors should be aware that the beach closes at 6 pm, so it's important to plan accordingly to ensure you have ample time to enjoy everything it has to offer.
What's not to LOVE! After 4 months of travelling through Indonesia Malaysia & Thailand, this is one of the best beaches we have come across; definitely ranked in our top five matching the Gili Islands. Access 6am to 6pm as Military owed Air base. Toilets/showers, eateries, chairs/shade. Do tend to lose the sun about 4pm during February which then brings locals down to the area... beautifully gorgeous, as are the sunrises. Safe access to sandy warm waters.
Skram J — Google review
Big disappointment. Great for pictures and for eating cheap. Windy, hard sand, water not inviting at all. You don't see 1 person in the water, not to say swimming. The mountains around are beautiful. And the city itself, dead. Which l felt very bad for the locals. Tons of places to eat and tons of places to stay ( search on your own before booking anywhere) but all empty. The fisherman's village( very north of the bay) is the best place to stay. Stunning view, very charming, not windy and the restaurant Lung Yai Pu Pen has amazing seafood, ocean front close to the nature reserve. Was our spot for 1 week, last one of the year. Other than that...will not come back.

Beautiful beach. Perfect pit stop if you're driving down the gulf of Thailand. Came midweek and it was so peaceful and quiet. On the whole stretch, only saw about 5 other visitors. Note the beach is on a military site so you have to pass a checkpoint, but the guards were very friendly. Opens 6am to 6pm. Lots of food and drink stalls line the beach. If you come from the Prachuap Khiri Khan town side, you'll get to drive across a runway, which is very cool.

Kui Buri National Park

National park
Nature & Parks
Kui Buri National Park is a verdant forest with scenic driving tours that offer glimpses of Asian elephants and other wildlife. I had an enjoyable journey there with a close friend, where we encountered wild bulls and Thai elephants residing near local homes and pineapple farms. The fresh air was invigorating, and camping amidst the greenery was an unforgettable experience.
We stayed at Vana Varin, and the receptionist there helped us find the taxi driver that drove us to the national park and waited about 3 hours for us, while we took the Safari, and drove us back to the hotel, except we asked him to recommend a restaurant for him to leave us at instead.. this service cost baht 2600. Tickets to enter the national park were baht 200 p/person, and we had to pay an additional baht 850 for one of their vehicles with driver, plus a guide. We also hired a pair of binoculars for baht 50. This was a memorable experience, as we sat in the back of an open vehicle and drove through vast amounts of forest looking for elephants.. apparently there are around 300 elephants in the national park. We were so lucky to see 11 elephants, and they are roaming 100% freely.. we were not even permitted to stand downwind from the elephants and had to keep our distance. The setting was stunning. Our guide was friendly.

We did the wild elephant watching in Kui Buri National Park and it was incredible! We came here to the enterace first for information then headed to the elephant watching area to buy tickets. Don't fall for the tours if you're staying in Hua Hin, they're over priced. We hired a car between 3 of us which was 1500 baht, then 200 baht per person for park enterance, and 850 baht for the truck, driver and guide between us. Our guide and driver were great and we were lucky enough to see about 20 wild elephant as well as other animals!

Excellent experience and a highlight of our Thailand trip. We had our own car which made getting to the park much easier and cheaper than a private tour. We arrived at 2pm and set off into the park straight away. After a short trip we were guided to a group of 25+ Elephants. Couldn't recommend this highly enough.
Mark C — Google review
Visited October 23, 2025: Wow. This was an INCREDIBLE National park! We booked a private tour through Viator with Ken Diamond Tour Hua Hin (about $140/person for park entry, private 4x4, dinner, English speaking guide, and transportation to and from Hua Hin). Our guide accompanied us on the drive through the park so we could ask questions in English. Because it was just us, we were able to take our time at every stop we made. I would have not enjoyed this experience as much in a shared group 4x4. Because we booked a tour with transport, I can’t speak for the process of getting your tickets at the park, getting assigned a 4x4, or the English proficiency of the drivers and park staff who accompany you as our guide took care of everything and made it seamless. (I would recommend a guide). But the experience was incredible. The park scenery is absolutely stunning. We saw so many gaur and their babies and 3 male elephants from afar! We were grateful to see any at all as we knew the possibility of seeing none. We stopped at 4 or 5 different spots. The drive was 7km into the park, and 7km back out the same way so you have the chance to check out viewpoints again to see if more elephants have come about. The staff are always talking to each other on radio to alert elephant sightings to make sure you see them (if there are any). Binoculars are 100baht in the visitor center where the tickets are purchased. Get the big ones, we used them a lot! This is a big park with a lot of thick trees and greenery for them to hide in. It was fun seeing the elephants little trails through the brush off the sides of the roads, and knocked over trees and branches. Signs they are around! The weather was perfect on the day we visited. Sunny and very windy so it was almost chilly by sunset! Not too hot at all, even when we started at around 3pm. But I recommend good sun protection since the 4x4’s are open to the elements. We had UV protection jackets and hats, plus a lot of sunscreen. The vehicle we were in had 3 umbrellas so if it were raining we would have had protection too. I can’t speak for that in all national park trucks though. There are toilets in decent condition by the visitor center. They have toilet paper! I also want to add - I’m surprised and saddened by a lot of negative people in the reviews here who can’t appreciate a place for what it is. The entire point of visiting a national park, to MAYBE see elephants, is that these beautiful animals are WILD and untouched by humans (as they should be) vs the unfortunate alternative of abuse and tourism cash grabs that is rampant in this part of the world (riding, bathing, unethical practices). If in the event you don’t see any, but you can’t find beauty in the other animals, birds, insects flying around, plants, and scenic beauty, that’s a YOU problem. If you do see some but at a very long distance and complain that there aren’t roads to get you selfishly closer to them or you can’t appreciate the fact that your own two eyes, even with binoculars, have seen these endangered animals live their lives safely from afar, that’s a YOU problem. Everyone should know the risk of price vs not seeing any elephants here, or seeing them from several hundred meters away. It’s luck! Enjoy the experience! ❤️

If you want see elephants in Thailand, this is the ONLY place to do it. Eco tourism at its finest, most of Asia should take a big example from this institution. An abandoned setting deep in the jungle near the Burmese border and limited daily visitors allow this national park to flourish like almost none in the region. There’s only a 7.5km dirt road with four viewpoints along the way, to stop and lookout. It never feels overcrowded, it never feels like too close to disturb the animals natural behaviour. That being said, 100 Baht rent for binoculars is money well spent. We were able to 17 wild elephants, countless Gaurs and lots of birds including hornbills, eagles, kingfishers and egrets in the short span of only 3-4 hours. Please support this place instead of visiting any of the countless Thai elephant “sanctuaries”. This is how animal tourism should be!

We went wild elephant watching at Kui Buri National Park! The park entrance fee was 200 baht per person, and the truck with a driver and guide cost 850 baht in total. Our guide and driver were fantastic, and we were lucky enough to spot around 40 wild elephants, along with other wildlife. We patiently tracked and waited for the elephants, and late afternoon turned out to be the perfect time for it. We also got a close look at a hornbill, some deer, and junglefowl. Worth a visit. Best either you hire a car to get here as town is not that close. I would love to visit again.

A must-visit for wildlife lovers! Driving through scenic forest trails, you’ll have the chance to spot majestic wild elephants grazing peacefully and herds of gaur roaming the open grasslands. The park is home to hornbills, deer, and many other species, making every visit a true safari experience in Thailand. The peaceful atmosphere, stunning mountain views, and close encounters with nature make Kui Buri an unforgettable adventure.

It's a good choice if you want to see elephants, we saw about 4 different groups on a pretty short trip. The guides were nice too and were clearly doing their best to help us see as many elephants as possible.

Nature & Parks
Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, loosely translated as "the mountain with 300 peaks," is a 98-sq-km marine national park featuring white sand beaches and the renowned Phraya Nakhon Cave. The park offers diverse attractions such as pools, swamps, caves, and abundant wildlife, making it an ideal destination for families. Bueng Bua within the park is a stunning sight worth visiting, offering boat tours through the fresh-water marshland.
This was my 3rd time here. I’ll never get tired of coming back and means a lot to me! Magical place! This is a place the requires a lot of walking, up and down the mountain, make sure you’re fit enough to walk for a long distance in the heat, but once you arrive to the center inside the mountain, you can chill with the amazing views!! Loads of steps up and down but half way you got toilets and a nice restaurant to refresh with food and drinks. Also toilets. Half way there is a beach too. You can also take the boat the other way around making it easier to reach the beach (half way)

There are so many different places that you can experience in this National Park.It was so much fun. We decided that we were going to do the one hour boat tour. The mountains are just stunning and the views are beautiful. Be careful with the monkeys. They're very aggressive with food.If they see you have anything, they'll try to take it from you.If your car is open. They will go in your vehicles and they will climb on your vehicles.

This is definitely worth checking out while you’re in Hua Hin! It’s a bit of a “hike” (I used quotes because it’s mostly stairs 🤷‍♂️), but totally worth it, but here a a couple of things to know before you go. First, you have a choice of walking/hiking there or taking a boat. I took the boat cause I wanted to be on the water, beach is so beautiful here. If you take the boat, bring sandals because you must walk into the ocean a bit to climb onto the boat. If you walk, it looks like an equally beautiful walk; the natural landscape here is beautiful. One last tip: while in line, a local asked us if I wanted to split the cost of the boat with her and her daughter. I agreed (if I recall correctly, paid 200 of the 400 TBH total), and this is an important point. This very cool and nice local girl informed me that she was happy I agreed because she claimed that the people operating the boat-ride service will often try to add a lil foreigner tax if you’re not in the “know.” She told me that they will usually tell foreigners that it is 400 TBH per person, when the actual cost is 400 TBH total for the ride, which can be split amongst the passengers in anyway they see fit. Ergo, according to this cool local girl I was fortunate enough met there, if they tell you that it’s 400 per passenger, it’s definitely a foreigner tax haha 🤣. Back to the “hike”, I wore sandals to get on the boat and for the hike, and I was totally fine. I’m not the Michael Phelps of hiking nor anything like that 😝 , just saying that if you’re concerned, might wanna bring a towel and a pair of shoes to change into after the boat ride. Like I mentioned earlier, it’s mostly stairs you’re climbing, but they are stairs carved out of rock or made of wooden logs, you know like almost kinda like “natural” stairs, not something built from Home Depot supplies. The “stairs” are often uneven, slippery, jagged, etc., but I did it in sandals and I’m a 40+ yr old dood, so…. It is not the shortest “hike” haha and it can get hot af, so bring water. Once you get to the end, totally worth it tho. There’s a couple of fake/statue monks on display in the cave so don’t let those freak you out haha 😂. But yeah fr tho, totally worth it. Once you’re back to the beach the boat dropped you off at, there’s a really good local restaurant there selling some delicious, grub food there. So after the “hike”, grab some good local eats and a fresh coconut water 😋. One last thing, when we first arrived, I was instructed to remember the number of the boat that dropped me off, which I did, but didn’t seem to matter later 🤷‍♂️ but might be a good idea to jot it down somewhere for Justin (just in case lol). Enjoy your trip. @CBD-travelchannel

Beautiful national park. Was quiet when we went so felt off the beaten path. Great food options near the cave. We sat on the beach to eat. Well maintained hiking trails and frequent restrooms. We saw some friendly stray dogs and dusky langur monkeys.

A hidden gem in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, famous for the royal pavilion bathed in sunlight through a natural skylight. The hike is a bit challenging, but the breathtaking view inside the cave is worth every step.

Nestled within Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, Phraya Nakhon Cave is a breathtaking natural wonder. The cave's enormous chamber houses the exquisite Kuha Karuhas Pavilion, a historic royal structure dating back to King Rama V's reign. Sunlight filters through the collapsed roof, casting an enchanting glow on the pavilion and creating a magical ambiance.
Very beautiful cave. Highly recommend a visit. You can either go by car or by boat. If you take the boat you skip the initial 500 hike which is quite steep. If you arrive by car there is plenty of parking space and vendors that sell water. Make sure you bring enough water! Second part of the hike is uphill quite steep but doable. You will be rewarded with great views at the end of the trail. Stunning views of the sun shining through the cave ceiling. Well worth a visit. There are toilets and restaurants on the beach at the base of the climb

This is one of the "must" sites to see along the upper gulf coast. Although you may have to really earn it. We went on October 22nd which was a nice hot day after quit a few wet ones. The boats would not run in the stormy seas so you will have to hike the first leg by the park entrance. Fee is 200 for foreigner, 100 for Thai. The hike can be strenuous if either physically limited, or have any ailments. After the first "up to the viewpoint" and down the backside you come up to the beach. A nice secluded shell filled beach that leads you to the one again strenuous (only because the humidity helps the sweat pour out) hike up towards the cave. The well maked path takes to the first cave system once the jagged limestone path levels off. Then down through a cave opening to the grand entrance of Phraya Nakhon Cave. The lighting causes for a very dramatic backdrop to the shine. Quite spectacular. And the temperature in quite nice dropping at least 8 to 10 degrees Celsius lower than the outside temperature. On a Wednesday it wasn't really crowded and with patience can have the whole place to yourself for the perfect photo opp.

Amazing spot nice views, to have the best light come 10.30 till 12.00. athe light on the temple is only in February. There are two mountains to be crossed. You need to be fit, children can do it as well. Ways down and up are with stones. The first mountain can be down by boat if the waves are not to high, u arrive rhen directly on the beach and miss the views from the first mountain. At the beach there is a good restaurant with good drinks and they toilettes. From there u can start the second mountain when u made it, there is only ashort way down tonrhe cave entry. At the beginning u can see monkeys Dusty at the second climb or on rhe beach. The cave is amazing we had a very food toir guide she showed is perfect spots for photos.

Stunning drive through the National Park, then a challenging walk to the cave. Spectacular scenery and wildlife on the walk. The cave itself is breathtaking, well worth the walk. I rode a motorbike from Hua Hin, took 1 hour, but amazing mountain's 👏.

First of all, this cave is part of the Khao Sam Roi You national park. I recommend starting your day at the national park's ticket office. The ticket you buy here is valid for more than one attractions. I started my day with the mangrove forest around the ticket office area, then visited the Khao Daeng Viewpoint, after this Klong Khao Daeng (the boat trip price is not included in the ticket) and my last stop was Phraya Nakhon cave. I was riding a motorbike between the places. The cave can be reached by boats or walking. The motorboats are very loud and I prefer walking anyway so I hiked to the cave. Please note that it is a 2km distance. The first part of the road follows the sea shore, with wonderful views. It goes uphill first and then down to the beach. It is a bit rocky and you will definitely sweat a bit climbing here. Through the beach, you walk on flat surface among trees and sand, it is very pleasant (apart from the loud boats arriving every minute). Someone put swings on trees next to the beach, you may take nice photos here. There are also cafes and restaurant, bathrooms here to refresh if needed. The next part of the road takes you through a small forest part - apply mosquito repellent here if you haven't done it yet, they attack straight away! At the end of the forest road, you will see a big sign with many rules (how to dress, behave and so on) and a warning to understand your physical capabilities or limitations - because the next part of the road is very challenging. From now on, the road is mainly uphill on the natural terrain which has some steps built but it is mainly rocky and steep, sometimes a bit slippery. In the hot weather, it's not easy to complete the climb. Halfway up on the hill, you will find a resting stop with benches. The park also stations a first aid team here, which is reassuring. They are on standby for any emergencies or injuries. Also they sell (expensive) water. After climbing for about 500 meters, the last part of the road is finally downhill, believe me, you'll be grateful for that 😁 Please make sure you are dressed modestly to respect the Buddhist principles before entering the cave. The entrance is already impressive. I haven't seen a forest growing in a cave yet. The temple is in the second hall of the cave and if you are lucky, the sunshine will illuminate it. When I was there, I could admire it completely alone (low season) and it was a wonderful experience.

Parking: 10B motorcycle, 20B car Entrance to national park: 100B foreigner, 40B Thai Hike to Phraya Nakhon Cave: 1. 515m along the coast, up and down to reach Laem Sala beach 2. Around 1km flat along the beach. There's a restaurant. 3. 430m mostly up through the forest to the cave entrance. The path is shaded, mostly dirt, sharp rocks and makeshift steps. Physically demanding but very rewarding. Water can be bought at the entrance. Closed shoes recommended.
Gregor H — Google review
The cave at the end is very impressive. The hike there should be better maintained considering the amount of entrance fee revenue they collect. Path is very slippery in the rain, and there’s hundreds and hundreds of stairs. Highly recommend taking the boat there and back. After the beach, the rest of the trail is a brutal uphill treck. Beautiful to see, but wouldn’t go again. Lots of large orb weaver spiders are in the cave too, just as a warning for arachnophobes.
BorG G — Google review
It's a cave. Steep. A wall runs along the path which is sometimes better. I'm fit. Still took me an hour . Take water . Round a big hill. Then down a cave system. Through 2 chambers into a 3rd which had the temple . 200 baht for adults 100 for kids. . Well worth it.

Nestled within the KaengKrachan National Park, about 60 km west of Hua Hin, Pa La-U Waterfall offers a picturesque setting with its 16 cascades and ancient forest teeming with rare wildlife. Visitors can embark on moderate to challenging hikes through unspoiled rainforest to reach the waterfall, where they can marvel at the natural beauty and take a refreshing dip in pools filled with wild carp fish.
Beautiful waterfalls with 5 levels that are available for tourists. In total the waterfalls have 15 levels which you can see on a map at the entrance. You can also feed fish here with food that can be bought for 10Baht at the entrance. In addition they have a small shop to buy refreshment and snacks. If you are planning to make your way up to level 5 make sure you bring enough water as it is a quite exhausting way. You can also swim here if you want. The water is cool and refreshing. Food is not allowed after level 1 so make sure you eat before you go further. There is a checkpoint after level 1 where you have to deposit your food to make sure no food goes further than level 1 but you are allowed to bring water. Entrance fee for adult foreigners is 300 Baht and for kids 150 Baht. For thai nationals it is 60 Baht and 30 Baht for kids. Vehicles are 30 Baht and motorcycles 20 Baht

About an hour drive from Hua Hin city central to this local waterfall. The waterfall is under the park ranger maintenance and control. Theres small fee for enter. Its a great place to bring family for the time together. We visited during long weekend and theres were lots of local, foreigners and Bangkok people.

Nice drive to the park from Hua Hin on a winding small road. 300 Baht entrance fee for non-Thais and 30 Baht per car. I picked a rainy day, which had the advantage of the park being very quiet. At most of my walk I was alone. Disadvantage is that the rocks are extremely slippery. Friendly NP staff. Some signs are just in Thai and there was no mobile signal, so I couldn't translate it. If I understand it correctly, there is NO food or drinks allowed past the second waterfall. It's a sweaty and very slippery climb though.

Very nice area with a lot of places to enjoy and rest in the cool forest. Wished you could even go more up, the adventure was limited up to stage 4. IMO there are too many fish, which makes it a bit difficult to get into the water. We have been there on a weekday and we’re lucky that the were not many visitors. Unfortunately they did not excepted my Thai ID card, as was mentioned wherefore I had to pay the high farang entry fee. But have to confess, it was worth it!

Pa La-U Waterfall, entrance fee 60 baht, transportation fee 30 baht, great atmosphere, very natural, clear and cool water, the way up to the waterfall is not difficult, some rocks are quite slippery, so shoes must be suitable and have good grip.

Lovely river hike upstream. I climbed to level 5 on many past occasions, but had to stop at level 3 yesterday due to rain/ wet and slipper rocks. Loved it still!

This is a somewhat remote location in the hills near the Myanmar border. There is a trail up to the biggest cascade that is steep and slippery in places but has had ropes put in place to assist you in the spots where you have to scramble up the most. The hike up and back is a nice workout. There are a few nice pools to swim in but there are a lot of fish loitering around looking for a handout and that can be a little off-putting despite what their presence indicates about the cleanliness and health of the water stream. They are fun to watch ascending the cataracts, though. There are several species of butterfly up there and don't be surprised if they land on you looking for salt from your sweat. People seemed pretty conscientious about their trash here, for the most part, but if you bring a bag and schlep some out that you might inevitably stumble across, you will be rewarded greatly by the Great Karma Chameleon of the Universe. We try to get up here a couple of times of year because it is such magical and beautiful place. Definitely, one of my favorite spots in Thailand.

Nestled in the picturesque Hua Hin Hills, Monsoon Valley Vineyard is a surprising gem in Thailand's wine scene. Formerly known as Hua Hin Hills, this vineyard produces new latitude wines, defying traditional norms. The lush tropical paradise of Hua Hin Hills provides a stunning backdrop for over 250 acres of vineyards.
We fully enjoyed this vineyard trip! Starting from walking around the vineyard, we had a big rain shower to be soaking during our walk, but it was a great memory for us. The tapas and wine tasting experience was beyond amazing. Under viewing down the vineyard trip, we enjoyed 5 marriages between the dish and the pairing wine. I strongly recommend this experience for wine and food lovers, this is the must to do in Hua hin!

Food was fresh and tasty. Had the wine and tapas tasting. Definitely worth it. The ambience is cooling and different as there are not many vineyards in thailand. Staff was attentive and friendly. Maybe you could have a bigger play area for the kids and have a wine tasting fee that allows customers to taste any wine they choose to.

I attended a private theater night event with a 3-course wine pairing meal. It was an incredible experience. We were super lucky with the weather—cool and pleasant, making it a great time to sit in the middle of a vineyard. The food was exceptional, perfectly complementing the classic film Sideways, which delves into intriguing topics about wine. It was a truly memorable evening, and I was grateful for the invitation!

Arrived here on the 10am shuttle from the Monsoon Valley Wine Bar. Journey time approximately 45 minutes. At 11am the group of us were taken on a vineyard tour. English speaking guide and very knowledgeable. The tour lasted about 30 minutes and included in the price of the shuttle from the wine bar if I recall correctly. The views are beautiful and it is well worth seeing. After the vineyard tour a group of us were taken to the elephant 🐘 sanctuary where we were able to feed bananas to two male elephants (6yo 10yo). Didn't last long but still enjoyable and worth doing. Back to the restaurant where we had lunch and wine tasting with tapas. Sadly this is when the place let us down as the tapas did not arrive at the same time as they gave me the wines to taste. The cashew chicken is delicious. As were the tapas. On an aside the views from the toilets are worth seeing

Very good wine and food; with an excellent atmosphere. This is my second visit to the vineyard and noticed this time we pulled up to a booth which required each person pay a cash only 200 ThB fee before you can enter the parking lot. This voucher can be used toward any expense including wine, your meal, or items in the gift shop, etc. They do not have any sweet wine options to choose from, but my party liked the Signature Red wine. The food taste and presentation are very good. I gave the food 4 stars because I thought the amount of food on several plates were a bit sparse. I would have liked to see a slightly larger portion knowing the price paid ~370 ThB per plate. The cheesecake was one of the best I've had in Thailand so far. I am not a big wine person but I don't believe you would be disappointed with this place.

I was genuinely surprised to learn that Thailand produces wine—and even more delighted to discover this stunning vineyard! The setting is absolutely gorgeous: peaceful, scenic, and immaculately maintained. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed and connected to nature. Whether you're a wine lover or just looking for a unique and tranquil experience, I highly recommend a visit. This vineyard is a true hidden gem that showcases a different side of Thailand—one that’s elegant, serene, and full of pleasant surprises. Definitely worth a visit!

Let’s get the first problem over with John Monsoon, the dessert is awful. I ordered a berry pie and it’s just a shell with berry concentrate filled to the brim, and not even your wine could tune down this deadly sweetness. But apart from their food, I think the wine tastes great! It pairs well with the beautiful, mountain-stretching vineyard. The winetasting tour on the other hand doesn’t bode well with the time I went there. It’s said that the best time to take the tour is in February or March, so I couldn’t be bothered.

This entertainment complex offers lifestyle activities for all ages and has become a significant destination in Thailand's tourism map.
Bought the ticket ahead from Klook is special. I don’t like the VR slide much. VR slide needs to pay extra money for one and multiple. I tried one time. They also have lunch buffet. I don’t know much about can we charge money and bought freely coz the buffet is in limited time. It’ll great to take sandals ahead, you don’t need to take towels, it’s included in the ticket. All sides are fun and safe. I would like to recommend to go there with group 4 or 6 .You don’t need to wait for others.

Suitable for having fun with many friends or family.

Large and beautiful water park in Hua Hin which is a must visit if you are here on a family holiday. We were there when it opened at 11am and were there all day until 5pm. We booked a deal via trip.com for around 1200thb per person which included towel, locker, VR and buffet. I didn't try VR myself. But the feedback from the kids was that it was quite disappointing in terms of experience and the resolution of the technology itself. When it comes to the food, I thought the buffet was a good deal for the price we paid. With the buffet option you can get as much food, drinks and snacks as you want until an hour before closing time. It's not food you'll dream about afterwards. But it's totally fine. There is a lot of choice of food stations around the place. The prices seemed totally ok. We got there at 11am when it opened and it wasn't until 1200 that it was crowded. At 3-4 pm there were significantly fewer people. Missed more info about the place, especially regarding food and dining options in advance and on the website. So here they can definitely improve. Thats why I also took alot of images from the food menues around Vana Nada to help other in the same situation. Tip: check around on both trip.com, Klook for the best deal!

The overall experience is really good but let me get one point across first. I don't know for others, but for me I feel like the floor type they have is not barefoot friendly so keep that in mind. (They do have waterproof shoes for sale but those are extra expenses.) I also heard that booking beforehand could be cheaper but I don't know for sure. The buffet is also ok, it's not amazing but it's not bad either. But I suggest adding credits to your wristbands and buy food from the stalls. That way, it might not be better pound-for-pound but it's more convenient and there are more diverse options. (Not cheap but not too expensive). Plus point for how many life guards there are. I feel really safe and they have extra security compared to anywhere I've been to. All the rides are quite generic, like all other water parks in Thailand (you can just check that up). Very good hospitality as well, both from tourists and the staffs. Oh, last thing. There's also rock climbing but you will need a sneaker to play it. Checklist - Change of cloths. - Goggles if you want to swim. (Optional) - Towel (optional, can rent) - Shampoo and soap (optional, they have 2 in 1sin every shower room) - waterproof shoes (optional, they have for sale and if you are ok with barefoot then it's fine). - Money for food credits. And if you have glasses, put those in a locker room. Don't wear clothes that hasza zipper or a button at the back because you might not be able to play some rides. Have fun!

Whilst the experience buying food was lacklustre, the kind of shopping you can do at cicada market was really unique! Many skilled craftsmen selling their crafts which you can bring home. Live music and magic show was also very lively, overall still enjoyed ourselves here :)

The market offers a variety of performances, as well as art and food for sale (though the taste might be a bit bland for a Thai like me). If you want to buy food, exchange your coupon first. I also recommend the massage shop at the very back. The masseuses are very skilled. I felt so comfortable that I fell asleep during the massage.

Cicada Market is a must-visit in Hua Hin. It's a fantastic night market with a wonderful atmosphere. It stands out from other markets because it's not just about shopping; it's a great spot for art and entertainment. The market has a wide variety of stalls, especially for handmade crafts, jewelry, artwork, home decor, and clothing. It's the perfect place to find unique, locally made souvenirs and gifts. There are also live performances and music, which really adds to the vibrant energy of the place. It's clear that many international tourists enjoy this market, which gives it a lively, multicultural feel. For food, there's a large food center where you need to purchase coupons before ordering, which makes the process smooth and easy. The food options are great and cater to different tastes. Parking is available across the street. While there's a fee, the lot is large. The overall landscape of the market is beautiful and well-maintained. If you're looking for a market with good food, beautiful art, and a lively vibe, Cicada Market is the place to be. Highly recommended.

A wonderful night market with good food, good vibe and interesting artisan stalls. The pad thai hor kai, oyster omelette, coconut ice cream, and mango smoothie are all very delicious. There is a shadow show with a teenager singing and playing the shadow character, which is very interesting.

Visited Cicada Market and had a really great time! The place is lively with lots of people and a fun, relaxed vibe. There’s a wide variety of goods — handmade crafts, local art, clothing, and delicious street food. It’s a great spot to walk around, shop, and enjoy the evening. The location is very convenient, right in Hua Hin city, easy to find and close to many hotels and attractions. The atmosphere feels creative and full of energy, with live music and local artists adding to the charm. Overall, Cicada Market is a must-visit when in Hua Hin — perfect for shopping, relaxing, and soaking up the local vibe!

Cicada Market is a must-visit spot in Hua Hin! 🎨✨ The atmosphere is vibrant and relaxing — full of art, handmade crafts, live music, and delicious street food. The market is beautifully organized and clean, with friendly vendors and a creative vibe everywhere. The food court area offers a wide variety of Thai and international dishes at reasonable prices, and the art stalls showcase unique local talent — perfect for souvenirs or gifts. Live performances and soft lighting in the evening make it feel magical. A great place to spend your weekend evening enjoying food, art, and culture all in one place. 🌿🎶

Great night market with lots of arts, handcrafted goods and live music and live acts all around, also some activities for kids to enjoy. The food variety offers something for everyone, but I would still recommend to go for authentic Thai dishes, there is so much, you may have to come multiple times 😊 It’s very convenient to get there, paid parking spaces are also available for 50 thb.

Cool market, offering some different things to the usual stuff you see, at a slightly higher price. Good food options, and live music. Definitely worth a visit

Hua Hin Beach is a popular destination along the Gulf of Thailand, offering clear waters and soft, powdery sand. It's known for its unmatched Thai hospitality and a wide range of exciting activities. The area is not as crowded as other tourist spots, making it perfect for a leisurely day by the sea. Visitors can enjoy water sports like kiteboarding and kitesurfing due to consistent winds. The beach also boasts lovely beachfront hotels with direct access or public areas for relaxation.
Very nice beach with warm waters to swim. Small shops on the way to the beach. Kids and adults had a good time walking along the water and exploring small animals. There were plenty of horse-riding options available at a charge of 250-300 per horse.

Went here and it having food festival.. Berry crowded.. many food and drink stalls.. Music.. Water fountain and lights in the night.. I saw many family here also lovers.. Everyone relaxing and enjoying the views and vibes.. So happy to feel this beach with the festival U can find temples and monkeys too Aaaah elephant village too

This is one long beachfront for the numerous hotels and condos. Except for the northern tip there is basically no place to sit and enjoy. The white sand is mostly washed away. Dirty with plastics in many places. Jet skis drive very close to the coast making it dangerous to swim. A lot of horse handlers walk the beach looking for customers. Is a sad scene honestly.

Accessible to everyone. Clean, white fine sand and clear waters. We went there in the morning and the evening. Early morning is recommended (sunrise) and late night (about 8pm onwards), at nighttime we rented a picnic mat for 50 baht (optional) with no time limit and we truly enjoyed the view at night. Just bring your choice of foods and it’s gonna be perfect.

This beach is nice but crowded. I rented a chair with umbrella roof for 100b. It started to rain and the umbrella roof didn’t help. I ordered a coconut smoothie for 70b. Both were expensive I thought. I’ll check out a different area of the beach next time.

For a nice walk this side of Hilton other side don’t go waist off time pier is bad shape.
Tom V — Google review
This is a long beach, so I'll focus on the northern end bounded by Hilton since that is my preferred part of the beach. The reason is simply the ability to get deck chairs, loungers and food brought to you without having to use one of the beachfront resorts. There's about 20 deck chair vendors and in low season, there's not really enough customers to go around. The food and drinks cover the standard Thai options. The food is pretty overpriced, but that's the price you pay for convenience. Some people mentioned clean water, but it didn't look clean to me. I was there during low season and there weren't that many beach activities other than horse riding. In the 7 days on the beach I saw one group take a banana boat ride and one jet ski ride, so the activities do run if there are enough people.

Nestled in Thailand, the Hutsadin Elephant Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing elephants from exploitative situations and providing them with a safe haven. Visitors can engage in various activities such as trekking with the elephants, feeding them, and experiencing life as a mahout. The foundation offers an ethical way for guests to interact with these majestic creatures, allowing them to walk alongside the elephants, feed them, and even shower them at the end of their visit.
If you want to see elephants, support this place! Do your research and do not go to alternative nearby spots. You can’t ride an elephant here, though no one needs nor should ride an elephant. The educational piece is great and the elephants are well looked after. There are four elephants, all either with health concerns or rescues. Yes they’re chained, but it’s necessary. They’re lined to reduce friction and they're given more freedom in the evenings. Nice venue with statues and the whole team was great, you can feel the love for these animals. Highly recommend.
Michael T — Google review
A great and ethical elephant sanctuary. They have 4 elephants and the activities you can do with them are awesome. No riding thankfully. But to walk, feed and bathe the elephants is a fantastic experience. It is slightly on the touristy side as they will offer you multiple opportunities to buy trinkets or donate, so bring extra cash and don't be stingy. The operation is efficient, easy to understand and fun. If you choose the walking activity (which I highly recommend) you'll have multiple opportunities to get photos. If you decide to view the temple on site, be sure to dress appropriately as it IS a working temple.
Sara K — Google review
Having spent some time researching local elephant sanctuaries, this one seemed the most legitimate and it was. Other local companies are exploitative of the elephants, whereas these are rescue ones who are impeccably well cared for and loved by the volunteers and that comes across when you’re there. We paid for the walk with them and we walked with Song Gram, the teenage elephant who when you say thank you to her she toots her trunk! She’d been rescued from a circus near Bangkok and they were rehabilitating her and hope to release into the wild. The tour was excellent and they explained how they give them free time on the mountain and are only linked up for short periods, but the chain on the leg itself is plastic so won’t hurt. There’s a small gift shop there selling t shirts, key rings etc, or you can buy handmade jewellery from the mahouts (elephant carer) to supplement their income. Overall, I’d fully recommend this charity and heavily recommend researching the other local companies before going. There’s no need to ride an elephant.
Adam E — Google review
A nice stop to get close and personal with rescue elephants without promoting irresponsible business. This small foundation, located on a thai chinese temple ground, only has 4 rescued elephants. The animals are well cared for by volunteers. Visitors are only allowed to have a short 20-min walk with a little feeding and showering interaction - with the option of an educational class (charged extra). The price to pay must be seen in my opinion as a donation to help the foundation maintain their rescued elephants rather than a ticket for an "elephants experience". Overall and after visiting many "elephants camps" in Thailand, we liked this place. The enthusiasm and passion of the volunteer we met gave us a positive feeling about the foundation and how they operate.
Chiara A — Google review
Love this place. Rescue centre for Elephants. No riding or tricks ,just good care for Elephants. Can walk with them , shower them and feed them. Staff are polite and friendly and don't try to sell you stuff. Runs on donations
Andrew W — Google review
It was a wonderful encounter with the elephants followed by education about the animals and their past. Yes, the elephants are often chained up, which is also explained on site and why this is the case. Of course, it would be best if all elephants lived in freedom, but unfortunately this is a utopia. You pay a fair entrance fee and then have the opportunity to donate and/or give tips on site. But you are not pressurised to do so. The entrance fee includes a bottle of water and an ice cream. Whether the Foundation makes a profit from this or not and whether the money goes entirely to animal welfare is, of course, not something you can know, but you have to decide whether you trust the honesty of the Foundation that this is true. The elephants are certainly much better off, even if they still live in captivity and are used as an attraction. But somehow the money for their expensive keeping has to come in. What really bothered me, however, was that the mahout advertised his bracelets as being "made from elephant teeth" on the card. In my opinion, that's a no-go. Apart from that, I can recommend the place and hope that the elephants continue to have a dignified and beautiful life.

This is a self funded , nonprofit organization, which rescued injured and unwanted elephants and treats them with food and shelter. The guide was quite knowledgeable and helpful. We fed bananas to the elephants and walked along with the elephant in the designated path . Later we bathed elephants. The cost is 800 Thai Bhat per person. The receptionist also offered us nice ice cream. We enjoyed our visit here

Great experience! We came on Monday because there were English speaking volunteers but they ended up leaving at 12pm (we came around 3pm). But our guide was amazing, spoke great English and was very informative. We walked, fed and bathed the elephant. It was 800 Baht total per person. The elephants are all rescues and look to be taken care of well. They did not push for donations and did provide ice cream at the end. I would definitely recommend going here over other locations!

Black Mountain Water Park in Hua Hin is a sprawling water recreation complex spread over 40,000 square meters, just 15 minutes from the town center. It offers an array of attractions including nine slides, a towering vertical slide tower, six pools (including a wave pool that creates the largest waves in Thailand), and a lazy river. The park also features dining facilities and operates with high safety standards and trained lifeguards.
Perfect spot for a relaxed family day - kids loved the safe water rides, we enjoyed the peaceful vibe and good food. Just make sure to arrange a ride back in advance, as taxis aren’t always eager to come here
Denis G — Google review
We had a fantastic day out at the black mountain water park with our kids ages 11 and under. We went during the week so it was quiet with no waits for the rides. The park is a perfect size to feel relaxed and not frantic. There are lots of seating areas around the park. Also the restaurant is very well priced and the food is tasty. I recommend buying tickets online in advance as it is cheaper that way. Lockers are available free of charge with a 200baht deposit. Lastly, this place doesn’t have the bigger rides or more thrill seeking rides like vana nava but there’s more than enough to keep everyone happy. Oh and the wave pool was an absolute favourite.
Elisa O — Google review
My partner and our 3 kids (aged 1, 5, and 11 years old) visited this waterpark on a quiet, slightly rainy, Tuesday afternoon. The park is small but surprisingly there's plenty to do. There is a pool for younger children in the corner of the park which is great, along with the lazy river. Then there's the wave pool and of course the big slides which are for the older children. The restaurant food was not bad but could do with more variety. NOTE: Please be aware they the red and green coloured floor around the entire park is horrendously slippery when wet. Whoever decided this was a good idea was wrong and they need to replace it before someone is hurt, it's terrible, we had to keep to the none coloured part which is much safer to walk on. The toilets are also like an ice rink when wet. Worth the admission fee of about 1500 baht for all of us.

This place is magical. A fantastic water park that deserves more visitors. We were there during Thailand's low season, and there were maybe 20 visitors in total. Prices: We paid 800 baht for a round-trip tuk-tuk. I’m glad we booked the return trip as well—there was one tuk-tuk when we were ready to leave, and I think it was there to pick someone else up. The area is quite remote, so make sure you arrange your return in advance. Entrance fee: 600 baht for adults. In Thailand, you’re often considered an adult based on your height, so my 13-year-old was charged as an adult. We paid at the park. Lockers: 200 baht deposit, which you get back. Food: You need a food card, and you have to load money onto it. Any remaining balance is refunded when you return the card. Soda: 30 baht Burger: 200 baht (250 with cheese) Fries: 100 baht So a bit more expensive than in restaurants, but still very affordable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s located about 20 minutes outside the city center by tuk-tuk. Maintenance was surprisingly good, and everything was clean. This park is cheaper than the other one, and it has slides for kids, the cautious, and the daredevils. Wave pool with 10 minutes of waves and 30 minutes pause. There’s nothing to think about—set aside a full day here. We left at 3 PM because that’s when our tuk-tuk was coming back, but we really wished we could’ve stayed all day.

It's a great place for family fun! The waterslides are exciting and adrenaline-pumping! The pools are clean and spacious, and the staff at the entrance are very welcoming. They have one restaurant on site, though.

We had a great time at the water park. Overall the park is pretty good. Excepting, the park attendants who work at the slide need more training about some safety protocols. My husband got sent down to the slide while my 10 years old son still stuck in the middle of the slide. My son shout out to his dad to stop as he was trying to push himself down the slide. They were safe as my husband was trying so hard to slow the slide. I hope no one getting hurt for the future guests.

Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) is a sprawling conservation and animal rescue center located 45km west of Hua Hin. The facility houses over 500 animals, including elephants, monkeys, jungle cats, bears, tigers, gibbons, macaques, loris and birds. It also operates an elephant rescue program where the elephants live chain-free for the rest of their lives. Visitors can take full-access tours to learn about the animals and their rescue histories.
Volunteered here for 2 weeks and loved every second of it. The staff are friendly and charismatic which makes the work soo fun. I only worked with elephants however from the people I spoke with wildlife said that they loved it too! The food is INCREDIBLE and the variety is 10/10. Cannot wait to go back when I get the chance. The evenings are also super fun with a social area to hang out with other volunteers and get some snacks by the bar!

Incredible Full-Day Experience at the Elephant Sanctuary We opted for the full-day experience and are so glad we did. From start to finish, the day was incredibly well-organized and meaningful. Our guide spoke perfect English and took the time to answer every question with care and detail. The experience began with a short but powerful video explaining the sanctuary’s purpose. It’s heartbreaking to hear the stories and see footage of how these amazing animals were mistreated in the past—but it’s also inspiring to learn how the sanctuary is changing their lives for the better. The rest of the day is spent meeting and interacting with these same elephants in a peaceful, respectful environment where they are clearly well cared for and happy. It’s moving to see them living freely and naturally. Highly, highly recommend this experience to anyone who cares about animals or wants to learn more about ethical wildlife tourism. Truly unforgettable.

I volunteered here for 2 weeks, which frankly wasn’t long enough! I loved every minute of my experience here. The staff are so helpful and accommodating especially Jam, Fifa and Faii on the wildlife project. There was rarely a dull moment as Jam kept everyone’s spirits up! The days are long and the work is hard, but it’s so worth it! The animals here are so well cared for and it’s a privilege to be a small part of their journey. The house dogs around the volunteer accommodation are also so sweet! I honestly can’t say thank you enough to everyone at WFFT. Such a special place!!

It was an absolutely fantastic, impressive, informative day. It is absolutely essential to make a reservation if you want to visit — otherwise, you won’t see any animals, and walk-ins are not possible. We booked five days in advance and there was only one slot left for the entire week. This is clearly explained on their website, so anyone who takes the time to read it will know. People who don’t check and then complain (as some reviewers here do) really have only themselves to blame. Signage could be better: when you arrive at the entrance, follow the small signs to the lodge, which can be easily overseen. It’s about a 10-minute drive from the reserve entrance. We had to ask several staff members along the way before we found it. Once there, everything was perfectly organized, and they were expecting us. The lodge has a terrace with a restaurant and a small kiosk selling snacks and drinks at normal, reasonable prices — not the tourist-gouging you see elsewhere. From the terrace, you can already see the first elephants up close. One thing that baffled me: despite clear signs and repeated instructions, some people still tried to feed the elephants whatever they had, even holding small children or babies over the wall. Some did it again the moment the park rangers turned their backs after warning them. If anything happens, it will of course be “the bad elephants.” Personally, I’d kick such people out without warning. Also clearly stated on the website: all tours are in English. We booked the full-day tour, with little children; it was easy enough to translate for the little ones. After a short introduction to the park, we set off in open buses to see various rescue areas — monkeys, several species of deer, bears, tortoises, and more. Each animal comes with its rescue story. Many are not native to Thailand and cannot be released back into the wild, so they live here in large enclosures. The monkeys and gibbons go through several stages: quarantine cages, socialization with other monkeys, and finally release onto a large, natural island in the reserve as the last step before reintroduction to the wild. There are parts where you have to walk through the grounds, so bring water and insect repellent — again, all explained on the website, so no excuses for later complaints. The website also mentions that this is temple ground and temple-appropriate clothing is required — however, in reality, regular clothing was fine and there was no dress code enforced. Lunch was a small buffet with rice, chicken skewers, and Thai curry — not a huge selection, but tasty, fresh, and more than enough. In the afternoon, we visited the big cats’ enclosures — the tigers are truly impressive — and saw more elephants. The day ended with feeding two blind elephants, who rely on humans to bring them fruit. Overall, it was incredibly moving to see the animals so close. The park even has a modern animal hospital and two very modern animal ambulance cars. The staff are clearly dedicated, and the grounds are well maintained. The tour guides were more than happy to answer all our questions. We felt far more comfortable here than at the many other “attractions” where you can ride elephants in chains or pet sedated tigers. Here, you get the feeling that animal welfare is genuinely the priority — and we were more than happy to pay the slightly higher price for that.
Volker U — Google review
If you are anywhere near the area, this is an absolute must visit. It is a true rescue, rehabilitation, and (whenever possible) release operation. If you are looking for animal interactions, you shouldn't be, and, apart from feeding the elephants, won't get it here. As our guide said, "we are here for the animals, not them for us". It is a thoroughly enjoyable and educational experience. We did the full day tour, which included a lovely lunch, which we would recommend. A half day is also offered. These guys do absolutely amazing work and deserve to be supported.

I had the chance to volunteer at the Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand, and it was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. As part of my journey, I wanted to combine my passion for animals with a real humanitarian commitment, and WFFT exceeded all my expectations. The centre has a genuine focus on animal welfare. Every action, from daily feeding to enrichment activities, is designed with care for the animals’ well-being. You also get to work side by side with the mahouts, local staff (all incredibly kind and dedicated), and volunteers from all around the world. This creates a unique multicultural atmosphere where you learn from others every day. The activities are enriching and diverse, from preparing food to special projects like cleaning lakes or planting trees. Some tasks can be physically demanding under the Thai sun, but the reward is priceless: the joy of seeing elephants, monkeys, or bears enjoying the fruits of your work. Beyond the daily tasks, this experience is full of emotions. There is joy when you see rescued animals regain trust, laughter shared with volunteers, but also moments of sadness when you realise the suffering some of these animals endured before arriving at WFFT. It’s an experience that teaches humility, respect, and compassion. After spending four weeks there, I can only recommend this place, whether as a volunteer or simply as a visitor. It is a place where you will not only meet wonderful animals but also wonderful people. This experience left me with unforgettable memories and the certainty that I want to continue working to protect wildlife.

Great variety of animals, friendly staff, place was a bit run down. Animals seemed well-fed as they weren't aggressive when we fed them at all. Worth a visit, spending 1-2 hours depending on how long you'd like to spend feeding animals. Many spot for those who like taking pictures. Have entrance fee and got some animals food, can buy more food once you are inside the farm. 20 bath/bag of carrots.

This place has great potential, however the animals are kept in harsh conditions and it's quite heartbreaking so I can only give two stars. On google maps, pictures look great but once we are inside, the zoo looks like an abandonned place and is quite depressing. If you care for animals well-being I would recommend not supporting this animal cruaulty business

Kaeng Krachan National Park, established in 1981, covers a vast 2,914 square kilometers of forested land and is home to diverse wildlife and rivers. The River Phet originates from this park and flows into the Gulf of Thailand at Baan Laem. The park has multiple entrances that are quite far apart from each other. It's recommended to navigate to Ban Krang Camp for a more beautiful experience rather than the touristy headquarters area.
An awesome national park which is not far from Bangkok. There are many kinds of wild animals here including black panthers, leopards, elephants, ant eaters, etc. Of course, we haven’t seen those animals why we did hiking on the natural trail here. However we saw some foot prints though. We love the trail here because we have to walk across the stream several times. It is really fresh and nice. I wear a pair of water hiking shoes which is very practical for a trail like this. This trail is only 2.5 kilometers. We start from the tourist center at Baan krang (บ้านกร่าง) and finish at stream 1 (ลำธาร1). Our driver will drive there and wait for us. The minivan could not go further because the car will need to run across the stream. Only SUVs or trucks could go. There is no phone signal here, not from True. Dtac or even AIS. So it is not possible to call our driver at all. We just have to finish the trail. There are many beautiful butterflies here. Many signs tell all drivers to drive slowly and please avoid killing these butterflies. We visit here around the end of July. We enjoy our hike very much. It is not difficult at all. No steep path , just flat trail.
Nutharin P — Google review
Really enjoyed the experience. Butterflies were great. I wanted to do more hiking but realised the hiking and waterfalls you need to go further up for and you can't just do it without the proper vehicle so if you want to hike, make sure you make arrangements to go up further into the park, get permits and probably stay overnight in the park. Maybe that's just my experience or I didn't do enough homework prior to the trip but it wasn't as easy or permissible as I expected. You'll probably need a guide and to hire a 4 x 4 if you don't already have one. But well worth it. Butterflies, monkeys, bird life that we saw was worth it. The lake was magnificent! So scenic. Great place to explore. So much to see

Beautiful National Park. Friends and I did a motorbike ride there from Hua Hin. Worth a visit for sure.

Great place with beautiful views of the mountains and rivers that run very fast. Great for rafting

Most beautiful place you will ever see great roads loads to see and plenty of food stops.

Fantastic place for birding. Here are some of my favourites. You do need a guide to go some places, and a lot of locations and pinpoints are only known by the locals so you do need some connections.

Super Nice but the trail is for experienced hikers. We went by car and already saw a lot of birds, butterflies and deer. Very nice nature as well.

Enjoyed the walk. It can get quite hard as some spots require climbing over rocks with the aid of built-in ropes. The first levels are an easy walk, and the further levels are more difficult. Good small waterfalls to see, lots of fish and butterfly's along the way.

Santorini Park 'Stay'

The bed and breakfast located in the Santorini Park provides Mediterranean-style accommodation within a theme park. Guests are given access to a shared kitchenette, as well as free entry to the park. Overall, our stay was enjoyable thanks to the kind and helpful staff who were attentive to our requests. While they could benefit from more training in product knowledge and English language skills, we appreciated their efforts to provide top-notch service.
Such a beautiful place, good for refreshing. Really cozy room. Everything served so well. In addition, you can enter Santorini Park for free if you stay at here. And at nights there is free shuttle bus that pick us to midtown

Clean, plenty of chairs and shade, limited but affordable food options, fun for little and big kids. Lockers available. Cabanas can be rented for 2,000 baht per day; I think they have AC and TV! Bring your own towels but no outside food or drink. Pricey but worth it. Residents qualify for a discount.

I had a pleasant stay here, the staff are kind and helpful. They listen to your request, even though I think that they need more training in their product knowledge and English but I know they are trying to give their best service. I love their interior, so pretty and colorful. They also have common room to grab coffee, tea or hot chocolate for free and a cozy playroom. There are no international chanel available, so watching TV is not an option if you can't understand Thai. Everything else is as good as I expected.

We only visited the water park which I did enjoy very much. However the for how much I enjoyed the park the down side was there rules on food and drink, we had a bag check which solo reason was to look for food and drink. This would not be a problem but once we were in the park most western food such as burgers and pizza was not available. I don't have a problem if you have food and drink for us in the park but when you don't there is no reason not to let us take it in. Furthermore we had to buy a towel but the quality was very poor, I wish there has been better quality towels as would be happy to buy on as a memory for our holiday.

A very very pretty hotel. Looks like santorini and it has a pretty decent and interesting theme park connected to it. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. They serve super decent breakfast and also have many rooms like games room, relax room and common room. A very well equipped hotel. I would highly recommend this place! By far one of the best hotel and best look alike!

We had a wonderful and memorable stay here. It's really heart warming when we first stepped in to our room as it was decorated with balloons and "Happy Birthday" banner and also birthday present 😍 **We were here to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday and we did leave a note upon booking. Room was great! Clean, spacious and cozy.Easy excess to Santorini Theme Park & Water park. My children truly enjoyed it very much and hoping to come back again. Disadvantage : no food after 6:30pm, not even the hotel will provide u food. However, there's a nice restaurant which is about 3km away from hotel and taxi charges for 2ways @ 300Tbh. Another choice would be, packet some food at the theme park before they close.

The only cons of Place was completely outskirts, very hard to get any convince store and food outside, and very hard to get Grabs! Hotel rated as 3 stars, but everything they perform, to be fair I rate them 4 stars !! For those who prepare to visit nearby Camel Republic, Swiss Sheep Farm and Premium Outlet altogether, can stay here for a night is the ideal proposal! Breakfast got Vegetarian option for Vegetarians!
Cleo L — Google review
I edited my review to a 5 Star because of the staffs consolidated efforts and tenacity to right things by improving on their services and professional ethics. For that I am indeed impressed. Most important thing about Hospitality Business is that there’s always room for improvement and even though small in stature compared to other 5 Stars Hotels, the Santorini staffs’ efforts alone can stand toe to toe with numerous 5 stars Hotels; any day! Keep up the Good Work!

Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park, also known as Khao Wang, is a historic palace complex completed in 1860 and situated on three elevated peaks. It was built by King Mongkut as a retreat from Bangkok and features a mix of European, Thai, and Chinese architectural styles. Today, it houses a national museum with royal belongings.
Wonderful campus of historical buildings, temples and palaces. Beautiful gardens and a wagon lift to near the top. Need to be reasonably fit to enjoy the full experience as quite some walking required. A well kept museum of Rama V and IV. Make sure you have plenty of time for this experience. Lovely views from the top.

It was extremely hot, but there are lots and lots of things to see there are also people along the path that are selling water or soda so you can stay hydrated. There are bathrooms, but if you are a foreigner, bring your own toilet paper. I really wanted to see monkeys. It was the whole reason I went and I traversed up and down those hills for an hour and a half and saw lots of cool things, but no monkeys and then I decided not to take the tram down I had said I would walk down and when I walked down at the bottom when I was almost to the street, there was monkey after monkey after monkeyso my advice is if you’re going there to see monkeys, take the tram going up and then walk down you will see so many monkeys.

I liked this place a lot! One of the best locations I visited so far, at least for me. It is a former kings palace with a nice garden and a stupa and a buddhistic temple all in one area. The ticket is 200 Baht, which is fine for the amount of things you get to see. You are not allowed to take pictures inside the palace though, but in my eyes that is no problem, since the outside was far more picturesque. For the temple you need to wear appropriate clothes, but they give you some for free, should you need them. The garden is green and has all sorts of animals/insects, foremost the apes, of course. You need to be a bit careful, since they might try to steal your food or your drinks, but they did not harm me or were aggressive in any way. Just hold your food/drinks tight. From the three elevated places here you will have an excellent view of the city and the surrounding lands.

We haven't visited this historical park in years and we were blown away by how organized this park has become. Theres even the slow cable cars to take visitor to the top of the moutain. Theres staff at every corner of the park to provide information and history behind the late King rama IV and V summer palace. We didn't have the chance to visit and explore all the building but will ensure to do so next time

I’m not sure why I’ve never heard of this place before it was so interesting! I took my Thai friends and they had not heard of it either, but we were all pleasantly surprised. If you like photos there’s so many photogenic spots. If you like hiking it’s a great walk around with a cool view. If you like history it’s very interesting with a lot of preserved items and areas. There’s something for everyone and the look out with the building in the back is just so beautiful! We hate monkeys, but they didn’t bother us, just know there are several on the grounds. There’s also some great local restaurants in the town if you need a bite after.

Been there, great Historical park to visit, unfortunately you can’t take pictures or videos inside Rama IV & V house. Very nice trails to walk around the different sites, the day I was there, no services were available just to get water so make sure you bring a bottle or two especially if it’s sunny.

Phra Nakhon Khiri or Khao Wang was originally a palace of King Rama IV. It is located at Klong Krachang Sub-district, Mueang District, Phetchaburi Province. It is situated on top of three consecutive peaks, with the highest peak being 95 meters high. It was originally called “Khao Samon” (Khao Saman). On the eastern shoulder of the mountain is a temple named “Wat Samon”. In 1861, he named it Khao Maha Sawan, which was later changed to Khao Mahaisawan. King Rama IV ordered the construction of a palace on Khao Mahaisawan in 1859. Chao Phraya Si Suriyawong (Chuang Bunnag), who was later granted the title of Somdet Chao Phraya Borom Maha Si Suriyawong, was the supervisor of the construction, and Phra Phetphisai Srisawat (Thuan Bunnag) was the supervisor. When construction was complete, he named it “Phra Nakhon Khiri”. King Rama IV was very fond of the beautiful weather and scenery of Phetchaburi. He had resided at Phra Nakhon Khiri many times throughout his reign. During the reign of King Chulalongkorn, he ordered the renovation of Phra Nakhon Khiri to be used as a place to receive royal guests from Germany. After the reign of King Chulalongkorn, no monarch had resided at Phra Nakhon Khiri again. Until the reign of the present King, he had the idea to restore and renovate. The Fine Arts Department announced the registration of Phra Nakhon Khiri as an important national ancient site, carried out the renovation of various royal buildings, and announced the establishment of the Phra Nakhon Khiri National Museum on August 27, 1979 as a memorial museum. All royal utensils received back from the Bureau of the Royal Household and the Ministry of Interior were registered as antiques, conserved, and displayed inside the Phetphumiphairot Throne Hall and the Pramot Mahaisawan Throne Hall. .......... • Ticket 200 baht • Cable Car 50 baht up & 50 baht down(you can choose to walk up or down the hill without cable car) # There're many wild monkeys around the park. Please keep your food inside your bag. # No camera is allowed inside the Museum(Here I've uploaded some of the interior pictures from their official website. You can also buy their book at the information center.) * Overall worthy for a visit because the real beauty of the scenery is what the camera or pictures couldn't capture. You need to see it through your own eyes.

Tham Khao Luang

Archaeological museum
Tham Khao Luang is a temple-like cave nestled in the mountain, accessible by either walk or drive. The cave boasts several Buddhist symbols and a reclining Buddha, with natural light pits and artificial lighting providing a serene ambiance. Visitors need to park at the nearby temple for free and pay an entrance fee of 10 baht per person plus ride ticket fee of 15 baht regardless of nationality.
A nice cave to visit. The way down is steep. I would say it's like walking down a four storey building. If you are not in good health, it may not be a good idea to visit. The cave is safe. It is big inside. A few bats are perched on the ceiling. There is a gift shop, restaurant, and beverages available onsite. Parking may be a challenge during busy days.

A beautiful and peaceful cave with many Buddha statues inside. The best part is the sunlight that shines through the top of the cave — it looks amazing and great for photos! The cave is clean and quiet. It’s a good place to visit if you want something calm and special. Just be careful with the monkeys outside — don’t bring food or they might come close. Only 2 hours from Bangkok, easy for a short trip. Worth a visit! 📍Free entry | 📷 Best time: Morning (for sunlight) |

It's nice, when you like caves and Buddha's. The cave itself has mostly one relatively big "room" with a nice hole in the ceiling, where the sun shines through. It's a pretty sight. Aside from that there are a lot of Buddha statues in the cave. All around it is not super special, but since it is only 10 Baht, and really not far from the centre of Phetchaburi, I think you should give it a try, when you are around. Oh there are apes here, too.

If you ask me whether it’s worth travelling for 3 hours from Bangkok to this cave I think it’s not worth it at all. Probably I have seen nicer and more majestic cave, but anyhow for those who still wish to come here can always do so as this is based on my personal view. In the morning I took grab from the hotel to Mo Chit 2 / Chatuchak bus station. Went to the ticket counter to enquire for the bus ticket. From Mo Chit / Chatuchak bus station to Phetchaburi bus station and the ticket price is 246 baht. Ticket counter will require you show them your passport if you are a foreigner. Return from Petchaburi bus station to Mo Chit 2 / Chatuchak bus station is cheaper at 140 baht. Entrance fee to the cave is only 10 baht.

Tham Khao Luang is a hidden historic cave that beautifully blends natural wonder with cultural and spiritual significance. Located in the hills of Phetchaburi, the cave houses a serene temple filled with Buddha statues, including a large reclining Buddha, all illuminated by natural light streaming through a large cave’s opening above. It’s a peaceful spot that appeals to a wide range of visitors — whether you're drawn by the natural cave formations, the historic royal connections, or the spiritual atmosphere. The site is well-maintained, and the walk down into the cave is manageable for most visitors. Highly recommended for those looking to explore a lesser-known but deeply meaningful destination in Thailand.

It is a small cave, worth a visit if you visit the palace that is near. It have steps and rails so it is safe and easy for everyone to go inside.
