Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan

Mentioned on

Buddhist temple
Sights & Landmarks
Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan is a significant Buddhist temple in southern Thailand that houses a sacred tooth relic. Legend has it that more than 1000 years ago, Queen Hem Chala and Prince Thanakuman brought relics to Nakhon and built a small pagoda to house them. Today, the temple has grown into a massive site with an impressive 77m white chedi crowned by a gold spire.
One of the best temple I've visited in Thailand. Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan is the main Buddhist temple of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province in southern Thailand. The main stupa of the temple, Phra Borommathat Chedi, was built by King Sri Dhammasokaraja in the early-13th century CE to establish a symbol for the Theravada Buddhism.

Good vibes. Lots of history there. Many locals with strong Buddhism beliefs. It is different from Bangkok's temples or any where else. Worth visiting.
Peter S — Google review
Beautiful and peaceful temple with deep history. The main stupa is stunning, and the grounds are well kept. A must-visit when in Nakhon Si Thammarat.
The L — Google review
A truly peaceful and beautiful place. Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan has such a calming presence - the architecture is stunning and the whole area feels steeped in history. I had a great time walking around, just taking it all in. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Varun H — Google review
Very impressive: gigantic stupa surrounded by dozens of smaller ones, endless perimeter galleries filled with guilded Buddha statues and very special ambience...
V K — Google review
Fantastic temple not to be missed if you’re on NST. Of particular interest is the vestibule leading up to the chedi, with its standing Buddha and mesmerizing array of guardian demons. Also don’t miss the gallery at the base of the chedi.

Phang Nga Elephant Park

Park

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Phang Nga Elephant Park in Thailand offers ethical and unforgettable experiences with Asian elephants. The park, nestled within lush vegetation, provides the opportunity to feed, bathe, and walk alongside these gentle giants in their natural habitat. With a focus on ethical treatment and care for over 150 years by the same family, visitors can partake in various tours such as the Family Elephant Experience.
The people are so nice and amazing! They treat the elephants very well and it was an amazing experience! I would recommend everyone to come and check this out and by coming here you are supporting these rescued elephants! And they allow you to bath with the elephants and clean them so bring a change of clothes
Jezda U — Google review
Without a doubt, this was the most magical experience. We booked a 4 hour early morning trip through Get Your Guide where we were picked up from our hotel approximately 1 hour from the sanctuary. We were greeted by Joy who was our guide for the day and took us through some really interesting educational points regarding the elephants and the history behind the sanctuary. We then took a 15 minute walk through the jungle and down a river to collect our elephants, for us to then bathe them in the river before walking them to the main part of the sanctuary, where we observed their daily health checks by the keepers and then fed them their breakfast. There was only 3 of us who had booked onto that trip (a solo traveller, my partner and myself) so we were able to be up close to our elephants during the entire visit. Brunch was provided after our mornings activities, which was delicious amd served in the most beautiful setting. I would strongly recommend taking this trip to invest in a good pair of water shoes as the river walk was slippery and fast flowing in places. You are informed of anything else you may need to bring with you prior to your arrival. This experience will was a dream come true, a massive Thanks to Joy and all the incredible Keepers at the Sanctuary who do such an incredible job.
Eleanor F — Google review
We visited today as a couple, and it was incredible to see how lovingly the elephants are treated there. Our guide was super kind and took so much time for us. The Pad Thai we had there was also really delicious. I can recommend everyone to visit this place, and if I could, I’d give more than 5 stars. We’ll definitely come back the next time we’re in Thailand.
Ellen S — Google review
This was our first time seeing elephants and it was the best! One of our best experiences while in Thailand. We wanted to come to an ethical sanctuary and we’re so glad we came here. Ammy our guide was great. His english was really good and made the whole experience fun for us. He took lots of pictures and videos for us and explained everything really well.
Nicole G — Google review
The park claims to be ethical and it is easy to confuse this park with the real ethical elephant sancturary KES when booking a package activity tour. The elephant’s here don’t have their own choice as they are fed and bathed for each tourist group and caretakers are strict and have sticks to hit the elephants when they do not behave as they want. The restaurant food was good and they are taking care of the elephants but it is not enough to call it “ethical”. Until they stop the above mentioned tourist activities and physical taming I would not recommend this place. Such a shame.
WinP3nalty — Google review
This place is amazing, the staff, knowledge, education & how they treat the animals. They did a great job making us feel welcome & ensuring we had lots of personal time with the elephant. We got to walk with the elephant, feed it, pet, bathe and massage the elephant with a scrubbing brush. They taught us how they care for the elephant. The food was also amazing.

*5 ★ Amazing Experience at the Elephant Sanctuary in Phang Na* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I just got back from the Elephant Sanctuary in Phang Na and it blew me away! 🌿🐘 From the moment we arrived, the vibe was calm, caring, and totally immersive. Joy was our guide and she absolutely made the day. She’s lovely, super pleasant, and ridiculously knowledgeable—she answered every question (even the weird ones) with a smile and such passion for the elephants. Walking through the sanctuary, she pointed out subtle behaviours and shared cool facts that made the experience feel personal and intimate. If you’re in Phang Na, this sanctuary is a must‑visit. Joy’s guidance turned a simple tour into an unforgettable, heart‑warming experience. Highly recommend! 🙌✨

International Tsunami Museum

Museum
Specialty Museums
The International Tsunami Museum is a solemn tribute to the catastrophic events of December 26, 2004, when a powerful tsunami wreaked havoc in the Thai islands. Housed in a two-story building on Phetkasem Road, the museum features compelling exhibits including photos and videos documenting the destructive force of the waves. One notable display is the stranded police boat, serving as a poignant reminder of the disaster's impact.
Gerat experience and insight into the Tusnami in 2004 great staff visitor center eith 7 min video on the disaster small gift shop on site free entry and free parking
Steve — Google review
This place called 'museum' is not worth visiting it. It costs 300 Bath for 1 adult. It is not free entrance! Inside you only see pictures after the tsunami and a simple video how a tsunami exists. Both you can see by surfing on the Internet. Outside you see a stranded police boat which was thrown 2 km's inside the land, but for take a picture from the streets, you don't need to go inside the museum for buying a ticket. 50 meters before the museum there is a shop at the left side, also with pictures and handy craft. Entrance is free. Never seen such a bad accommodated 'museum'.
Martin D — Google review
There's a structure that represents the size of the tsunami wave, which is quite interesting. There's also a police boat that got washed inland 2 kilometers, where the boat is still standing now. Put aside from that, there's not much else to see. You could be there 10 minutes
Jessie R — Google review
Basic museum but videos upstairs worth watching available in English, German and French. 1 HR 20 mins long but a must see. Nice little gift shop. Boat was under mesh due to construction but you could still see it well enough. Its huge size brings home the sheer power of the tsunami that could throw it 2km inland.
Valerie C — Google review
A good place to visit, a somber moment to reflect on the power of nature and its possible destruction. Many lives were lost and disrupted, those who were saved or survived are thankful that they have been given another chance. Stark reminder of humanity against nature.
YT K — Google review
Small but meaningful museum There’s no entrance fee the introductory film was incredibly moving. It reminded me how powerful and unpredictable nature can be. Thai people are truly resilient and kind. Anyone who visits Thailand should come with respect and appreciation for this land and people.
Neoneo C — Google review
A lot of critical reviews on here but it’s worth noting that this is a non profit organisation. Yes the displays could be better and the videos better quality, however the visit still brings out the horrific disaster that the people of Khao Lak went through (and many others). If you want to save money look on YouTube but if you want to support the cause then pay them a visit. The memorial park is currently under renovation so no access to police boat
Ian M — Google review
I am unsure how people can give low ratings for the "experience" of this place. It is small and could do with a slightly better layout. That is not the point of this place though. Go there, watch the videos, look at the pictures, then hold your kids tight and just be grateful that you were not one of those who died.

Flea & Street Markets
Bang Niang Market is a vibrant open-air marketplace in Khao Lak's Bang Niang district, offering local handicrafts and street foods year-round. It's a must-visit for those seeking an authentic Thai cultural experience. Just a short ride north from La On, this area boasts a famous food and souvenir market with less crowded spaces compared to other areas. While not the largest beach, Bang Niang offers a perfect sunset, calm waters for swimming, and shady spots for relaxation.
Fun very large market with a wide variety of vendors. Many souvenirs options, t shirts and well known brand (most likely knockoffs but not bad quality…) backpacks. You can easily spend a few days walking through this market but before you go make sure to check it’s open since they close 3 days a week.
Atara S — Google review
They have price fixing and not everyone wants to negotiate the prices of certain goods. The assortment is rich and they also consider tourists to be rich. Some sellers believe that if you want to know the price, you have to buy it. The food is delicious and at good prices.
Hubert W — Google review
Busy and hundreds of stalls, be careful with prices and haggle well as a tourist market they charge a premium and the next shop over will likely be half the price.. good fun though and great selection of Thai delights.. food choice is great with local specialties such as crocodile and bugs!
Kieran B — Google review
Mix of food and product vendors, many selling the same items (you may prefer to browse through entirely first before buying). Minimal bargaining possible, catered for tourists. Overall not a must see. We liked the ice cream rolls and joined a long line which moves slow only because each order is made with theatrics. The end result is airy and light. Taxis / tuktuks available along main road end of market with flat rates back to hotels (pending distance).
A2B E — Google review
It’s a big night market that caters to tourists. You can tell as no locals eat or buy anything from there. The store that sells clothes and stuff are repetitive and the usual tourist goods, there are no price tags and prices and 2-3x that of shops out of this area. There are much better night markets that local go to for a better overall experience.
CK C — Google review
Loved our visits to these markets. Good range of local and knock off products. Always worth bargaining and you get better results if you are pleasant and happy.

White Sand Beach, also known as Coconut Beach, is often hailed as one of the most stunning beaches in Khao Lak. Situated in the bay north of Pakarang Cape, it offers a picturesque setting for visitors to enjoy. Whether you choose to stay nearby or just spend a day there, this beach promises a delightful experience with its pristine sands and inviting waters.
Quiet and pristine beach. 1 hour from the Out Rigger hotel. There is a lovely bar on the beach called the secret bar that you must visit while here. Plenty of other nearby resteraunts and bars too.
Ben — Google review
It is a lovely beach, not the best I've experienced , not picturesque or paradise, but a good swim and some swings on the beach. The restaurants want you to eat in their establishment then charge you for sunbeds,, i personally think this is greedy. I sat under a tree as did a few others I ordered a chicken fried rice which was mostly vegetables and 3 bits of chicken I was told because its only 100 baht. Though they did offer to swap for chips as my little one wouldn't eat the chicken fried rice. There is a block of free toilets and shower to use which is especially important for anyone of the females that is on a menstrual cycle or anyone that has a wee problem.

Don't miss the interesting stones close to The Rock Bar. Fine sand in some part of the beach.

Beautiful beach with very calm atmosphere. Right on this spot on the map there is a small cafe run by an elderly Thai couple, which serve drinks for a very affordable prices comparing to the other restaurants around. My mango shake was delicious. Seems like they took a bar of an old abandoned resort. You may also have a walk and see it, see how the nature of jungle „eating“ man made structures.

The Similan Islands, located in the Phang-nga province on the Andaman Coast, are a remote national park known for their stunning white-sand beaches and rich marine life. The area features mountainous landscapes and deciduous forests, making it a paradise for nature lovers. The islands are famous for their pristine beaches and majestic underwater scenery, attracting divers from around the world. While tourism has increased in recent years, staying overnight allows visitors to experience the beauty of the islands without the crowds.
One of the most beautiful beaches i have ever seen! Really nice and clean beaches. Long trip (1.5-2 hours) from the main phuket port but worth it.
Ali A — Google review
They're beautiful but they are not as beautiful as Phi phi islands or Hong islands. Also one of the snorkeling places so polluted that instead of enjoying watching the nature I was picking up the rubbish. It was so sad to see. I still think they're worth the visit.
Anna S — Google review
This beautiful beach with its white sand and the crystal clear water creates an almost surreal scene. It may be one of the most stunning islands I have ever visited. The island is also an ideal destination for snorkeling, offering the opportunity to observe a wide variety of fish species.
Phuc D — Google review
Visiting the Similan Islands was one of the most breathtaking experiences of my time in Thailand. Located about 70 km off the coast of Phang Nga, this group of islands is truly a paradise for nature lovers, divers, and anyone looking to experience untouched tropical beauty. The boat ride out was an adventure in itself, but once we arrived, the view was absolutely stunning—crystal-clear turquoise waters, powdery white sand, and dramatic granite boulders that make the scenery unique. The beaches are postcard-perfect, and the water is so clear that you can see the fish swimming around even before diving in. Snorkeling was unforgettable. The coral reefs are vibrant and full of life, with colorful fish, sea turtles, and other marine creatures. Even if you’re not a diver, the snorkeling alone is worth the trip. For those who enjoy hiking, some of the islands also have short trails leading to viewpoints where you can admire panoramic views of the sea and the surrounding islands. What impressed me most was the balance between tourism and conservation. The number of visitors is controlled, and the islands are closed during certain months to allow nature to recover. This shows the importance of protecting this fragile ecosystem. Overall, the Similan Islands are a must-visit for anyone staying in Phuket, Khao Lak, or Phang Nga. It’s a day trip that feels like stepping into another world—peaceful, pristine, and absolutely unforgettable.

Very good but not as good that I was tell for snorkling still worth the days and money. Becarefull whatever what excursion you book it all come to the same excursion deserve by the only cie there adamean sea we all have différent vaucher on the Boat so my advice is go for the chepeast when you book online. You can also go at port by yourself and book directly with the company at lower cost
Louis-Philippe P — Google review
Went on the first day it re-opened. We booked the early bird tour to avoid the crowds but this didnt matter, it was heaving from start to finish with easily 200+ people leaving at the same time on 6 different speedboats. Couldn't snorkel as the massive amount of people scared most the sealife away. (Literally every boat stops in the same place all arriving within minutes of each other). Massively overbooked by the people who run the tours, huge disappointment, don't bother, go to Phi Phi instead and book a private longtail with a guide, water is just as clear and way less people for snorkeling. Islands themselves are stunning but again, within minutes of arriving another 6 boats turn up and you're falling over each other again.

Version: Similan Island is a unique group of islands with beautiful landscapes and nature that you can’t find anywhere else. I suggest booking this trip with Sawanu because they are professional, safe, and—most importantly—kind! You can have an amazing time with them. “Similan” means nine in the local language, and they take you to all nine islands, stopping at each one for a designated amount of time.

Beautiful, but mind how the trip by the agencies is organized. Just to be mentally ready. We went with Fantastic Similan tour - organization 100/10 - fun, 3 times tasty food provided, care for see sick people organized etc. BUT the day looked like this: - pick up at 6:00 from Phuket - 2h driving to the marine north from Phuket - 1h breakfast and registration - 1:30-2h boat travel - visiting 3 islands, about 45-60 minutes at each spot, among them snorkeling. - ~1h lunch and chill at 1 island. - 4h of return journey - back to hotel at 19:00. To summarize - we spent 8h just traveling by car or boat. And about 3-3.5h of actual islands hopping and snorkeling. Very intense day. Worthy to do it once, but next islands we visit will definitely be a lot closer to the land :)

Hiking area
Khao Sok National Park, located in Surat Thani province, is a vast expanse of ancient rainforest and limestone cliffs. Visitors can spend their time hiking, exploring caves, and searching for wildlife. The park's Cheow Larn Lake offers surreal experiences with its mist-shrouded limestone formations and dense jungle surroundings. The area is home to diverse flora and fauna including monkeys, colorful birds, tigers, and unique plant species.
There are a handful of must-see places in Thailand, this is one, without a doubt. Doesn't matter if it's a day trip or overnight on the floating bungalows, do not miss this. A damn built in the 80s that basically flooded a whole region, so an artificial, giant lake in a biome that would normally not have one. Witness man playing God. Caves, jungle walks/hikes, wildlife, lush tropical forest and a cool story of how it all came to be. Words are hard to describe the enormity of this park and the awe you feel navigating it.
Mack B — Google review
I would definitely recommend a day trip to this park, with its huge lake, when you are visiting the Khao Lok area. We had a guided day tour (which I would recommend to see everything) and it was a memorable and enjoyable trip. We stopped at the Three Sisters limestone formations for some photos, and cruised around the lake. We stopped at one of the numerous and unique floating hotels here for lunch, and did some swimming and kayaking. Definitely add it to your list of “must dos” when you are visiting Khao Lok.

One of the highlights of our stay in the area, definitely worth booking a trip to see Khao Sok and Cheow Lan Lake. Fantastic scenery! It’s easy to book a private longtail boat on GetYourGuide. We had a hire car and drove to the park from Khao Lak.

Definitely a must-visit when in Thailand! 🇹🇭✅ My husband and I rented a private boat for 3 hours, including a swimming stop for an hour, and we truly enjoyed the trip. The beauty of Mother Nature gave us goosebumps — absolutely breathtaking! 😍✨

Khao Sok National Park is an absolutely stunning place — one of the most beautiful natural spots in Thailand. The scenery is breathtaking, with dramatic limestone cliffs, lush jungle, and a peaceful lake. There are plenty of activities like canoeing, hiking, and boat tours that let you truly enjoy the nature. Everything feels calm and magical. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature and adventure!
Eliron S — Google review
I would definitely recommend doing a 2 day 1 night tour as you get to see loads of the national parks sights and you get to wake up on the lake which in my case was spectacular. However be prepared for very basic overnight conditions but it made no difference to us.
Ollie B — Google review
A beautiful park, I'd definitely recommend visiting if you're in Khao Sok!! Although everyone speaks about the lake tours as if this is the only activity in Khao Sok, we found this amazing park full of beautiful scenery of many types - a wild jungle, divine waterfalls & stunning rivers. Entrance fee is 200 baht per person, and you can either enter on your own and walk until a limited point (about 6km back & forth) or you can take a guide and walk further. If you do decide to take a guide, make sure to book them in advance. We decided to walk on our own, so we have more privacy, and it took us about 3 hours long, including some stops on the way, and dipping in the amazing Wing Hin waterfall. To conclude, if you're looking for a more unique and custom made experience in Khao Sok, this is definitely a most visit.
Maya I — Google review
While I loved the park and everything about it, I'd like to bring to attention this boatman guy/ guide, and request all to avoid him to have a stress free trip. This guy speaks no English, and if he does, refuses to talk- as a guide, that is one of the major things one should do. He smoked weed/ some narcotic, made us pay for kayaking (which we had already paid for to our tour operator) - since it was only a 100Baht per person, the three of us who had booked the boat privately paid again because this guy refused to communicate. At the caves, he walked on at his own pace, shining the light randomly, and made to exit within 5 minutes. Thankfully we latched onto another group who had an English speaking guide to make sense of the wonders of the cave. We managed to click a whipping scorpion and a cricket with that group- a stark difference. After leaving the cave, he stopped in the middle of the water to light another joint, at which point we thought it a good idea to fly our professional camera drone for some photography. As soon as our drone gained some height, the boatman moved the boat forward, when we shouted at him with sign language to stop the boat. While landing the drone, since the boat had moved, the drone fell into the water, just short distance from where the boatman sat. Had he not been stoned enough, he could have moved his hand and caught the drone. The drone fell into the water, the boatman looked at the drone, looked at us, and shrugged his shoulders as if to say, your problem. The complain I wish to raise, is that this guy was so stoned, that if a human would have fallen off, he would simply have let the person drown, despite wearing a life jacket and knowing how to swim. Since we had to leave to catch our connecting flight from Phuket to Chiang Mai, we didn't have time to officially complain. In case anyone reads this, please ensure to avoid this guide. For your own well being.

Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks, also known as Hin Ta Hin Yai, are natural rock formations in Thailand that resemble male and female genitalia. Legend has it that they are named after an old couple who died at sea while traveling to arrange a marriage for their son. These unique formations have become a popular tourist attraction on Ko Samui, drawing visitors to the Fishermans Village along Bo Phut Beach.
Memorable excursion to one of the islands attractions. It's worth a visit. There are shops with local sweets and coconut ice cream, and you can take a dip to cool off after climbing around the natural rock formations.

The location is nice and some people may enjoy the experience here. However, in my opinion, there are many other attractions in Samui that offer more unique and memorable experiences. If your time on the island is short, I’d recommend prioritizing other places first.

⭐️ Hin Ta Hin Yai (Grandfather & Grandmother Rocks) We arrived by taxi — entrance is free and it’s easy to walk around and explore the rocks. You can climb carefully, take amazing photos, and even jump into the water for a quick swim! There’s a small local market nearby with food, drinks, and souvenirs. The area is clean, peaceful, and well-maintained. Don’t miss the coconut ice cream served inside a fresh coconut with a red flower on top — it’s a must! 🍦🥥🌺 #KohSamui #Thailand #HinTaHinYai #IslandVibes #TropicalParadise

Nothing special just some rock shape, and local market stuff. Good view but nothing special to spend your time on, try to visit a few other places before coming here.

Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks are definitely one of those must-see spots when you're in Koh Samui. Known as the “Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks,” the formations are famous for their unique, naturally shaped appearance — you’ll understand the name as soon as you see them! 😄 The area is small but scenic, with the rocks set against a beautiful coastal backdrop, perfect for a quick photo stop. There’s a viewing platform and some nearby stalls selling souvenirs, drinks, and local coconut ice cream, which is perfect on a hot day. It doesn’t take long to visit, but it's worth stopping by if you're passing through Lamai. Aside from the funny shapes, the local legend behind the rocks adds cultural interest. Parking is available, and the spot is easy to access — just a short walk from the entrance.

Chaweng Beach is a vibrant and expansive stretch of sand that captures the essence of Koh Samui's lively atmosphere. With its bustling nightlife and a market that spans three kilometers, Chaweng Beach is perfect for those looking to indulge in retail therapy or savor delicious local cuisine. Whether you're on the hunt for trendy swimwear or unique souvenirs, you'll find it all here.
Lovely beach, sometimes busy but never overly packed. Nice scenery and restaurants dotted along the beach

Large beach of several kilometers where it is good to walk. The color of the water changes according to the weather. Beware the sea is sometimes very rough with a lot of waves. Lots of massage tent all along and many bars and restaurants to enjoy the view.
Stephen T — Google review
We weren’t sure whether to bother with this beach initially, a slight concern that it might be crazy busy and full of rubbish etc… however I’m glad we did because it’s one of the most beautiful beaches on Samui. Sand colour on any beach can appear to change from white to yellow depending on the sun/conditions, but the few days we spent here it was white sand and calm blue waters. Theres loads to do with bars, restaurants and sunbeds to rent. Plus jet skis etc for those that are interested. It wasn’t too busy in June and there was no hassle from beach sellers. The planes coming in and out of Samui Airport made for an interesting back drop too.

Always beautiful soft sand beach. Water is so crystal clear. Good for relaxing and fun dining or shopping here at Chaweng Beach
PAM N — Google review
I Love Koh Samui ❤️ Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui’s most popular stretch, is a 7km crescent of soft, white sand with crystal-clear waters. The southern end offers serene vibes, ideal for relaxation and stunning sunrises, while the northern part buzzes with resorts, bars, and nightlife. Water sports like jet-skiing and snorkeling thrive, but strong currents and occasional litter can mar the experience. Beachside massages and dining are highlights, though crowds and noise may overwhelm some. Perfect for lively beachgoers; quieter seekers should stick south.
Shahzad S — Google review
Nice beach with clean water and clean sands. Some areas have shallow water so we did have to walk around it and find a good side. Many water sports activities available and some vendors. There are many cafés all around.
Reem M — Google review
Chaweng Beach is truly beautiful – soft white sand, clear water and a long, wide shoreline that’s perfect for swimming, walking and relaxing. It’s one of the nicest beaches on Koh Samui, with a great balance of scenery, comfort and atmosphere. One thing to be aware of is that from around July there can sometimes be jellyfish in the water. I personally didn’t encounter any, but it’s something worth keeping in mind. Also, don’t listen to people who claim that July is “dry season” on Koh Samui – that’s simply not true. It does rain, and the weather can be cloudy and unpredictable. While Samui is usually drier than other parts of Thailand at that time of year, it’s definitely not a guaranteed dry season. Overall, though, Chaweng Beach is fantastic and absolutely worth visiting – just be realistic about the seasonal conditions.

From fresh seafood to tantalizing desserts, there's something for every palate. The lively atmosphere is enhanced by local artisans showcasing their crafts, making it not just a place to eat but also to shop and soak in the unique ambiance.
This place is even worth the visit during day time. It's so nice to walk around with all these charming little restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Amazing places with sea view for massage as well worth paying a little bit more for the experience. Looking forward to go this evening and see it all but yeah definitely a must visit spot on Ko Samui.

The souvenirs at the night market are a bit of a tourist trap but the food is absolutely top-notch and very affordable. We just wanted to keep eating, everything was so good. Do note that it doesn't run every day so make sure you check in advance to avoid disappointment.

Fisherman’s Village Night Market is the kind of place where your nose leads, your feet follow, and your self-control takes the night off. Every Friday, Bophut turns into a human salmon run—everyone swimming upstream for deals, snacks, and bragging rights. It’s a total sensory slapshot: sizzling woks, blaring tunes, and a crowd thicker than poutine gravy. One minute you’re buying a bracelet, next thing you know you’re eating noodles out of a pineapple wondering how your debit card got so sweaty. Vendors here could sell snow to a Canadian—they’ll charm the baht right outta your board shorts. You’ll end up with elephant pants, a carved coconut, and enough fridge magnets to start your own souvenir shop. Hungry? Follow the smoke signals—grilled corn, chicken skewers, mango sticky rice so good it deserves its own passport. No fancy cutlery, no problem. Canadians eat Timbits out of the box; we can handle a skewer on the go. By the end, you’re sun-kissed, broke, and grinning like you just won gold in bargain hunting. Fisherman’s Village isn’t just a market—it’s retail cardio with extra flavour. Pack light, spend heavy, and remember: it’s called Fisherman’s Village ‘cause everyone gets hooked.
MIke A — Google review
A lively and popular night market with a wide variety of food and souvenir stalls. This market offers a vibrant atmosphere and a great selection of local dishes and souvenirs, making it a pleasant place to explore during an evening on Koh Samui. It is quite popular among visitors, so it can get busy around 6:30 p.m. Those interested in a more traditional Thai street food experience may wish to explore some of the smaller local markets as well. Overall, it’s an enjoyable stop for anyone wanting to experience the island’s lively night market scene.
Maximilian I — Google review
This continues to be the best night market in Samui. There’s an incredible variety of food stalls offering everything from authentic Thai dishes to international favourites. We’re always drawn to the banana cakes, they’re absolutely delicious and this time we also loved the chicken wraps from the vendor next to the central seating area. Any of the Pad Thai stalls are a safe bet too. We skipped the sushi and cocktails due to past experiences, but plenty of other visitors seemed to be enjoying them. We took some time to sit in the centre and enjoy the beatboxer’s performance, he’s genuinely talented and well worth giving a small tip. After eating, we wandered around the market stalls. There’s something for everyone, and the sellers are generally open to friendly price negotiations, as long as you’re polite. We picked up a bag last night, and the bargaining was done respectfully, leaving both sides happy. If you’re in Samui, this market is a must-visit. Come hungry, enjoy the entertainment, and take your time exploring.

The renowned Phra Yai temple is home to an impressive Buddha statue that dates back to 1972. The grandiose gilded figure dominates the vibrant complex, attracting visitors from all over the world. The temple's Big Buddha is a significant religious and cultural symbol, representing Buddhist teachings and principles. Its enormity and beauty are awe-inspiring, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking spiritual enlightenment or simply marveling at architectural magnificence.
Really a beautiful place, and the surroundings make it even more special. The temple is in a peaceful spot that already impresses you as you arrive. When entering, you need to take off your shoes, so keep that in mind. Inside, you can also receive a blessing from a monk, which gives the visit a more personal and meaningful touch. In short: a calm, unique place that’s definitely worth visiting.

It was very close to the place where I was staying. Every morning when I went to take a dip in the sea i could see the statue close by. I was intrigued to see it for myself. Very close to the Pier. When I reached here it was quite early in the morning around 9ish, few people around, and I was lucky to witness the place all alone. As the others came to it only after I was leaving. Amazing to see a monk chant the Mantras and feel the tranquility in the air. I enjoyed every second of it. Kinda felt blessed.

We have been here with a guided tour in 3 small islands and 1 snorkeling spot and has been an amazing experience! The National Marine Park is pristine and you can visit from beautiful beaches to a breathtaking view points. We have managed to enjoy some relaxing time and to prove our self on really tough trails to reach the viewing points, but has been worth it! We have been so lucky to find monkeys with babies during one of thr trail and to see some huge and colored fishes in the snorkeling point. The emerald lagoon is amazing aswell! If you are here around you cannot miss this.

The view was absolutely breathtaking, a solid 10/10. But happy cardio to climb in 500 M. 🤪 I’m so grateful to have had the chance to experience such beauty in my lifetime. It really highlights how important it is to have a climbing partner who can encourage you along the way. 💗

Wide variety of activities to do from hiking to scenic viewpoints, swimming, snorkeling, hanging out at the beach, and watching wild life. Had a good experience traveling to this island from Koh samui via Grand Sea discovery.

Wonderful trip, we got everything we needed, they took great care of us, Mr. Thai was very funny and kind, and his jokes made the whole day even better. The hike to the viewpoint took 20–40 minutes depending on experience and fitness level. A must-do is kayaking (if you don’t go kayaking, you’ll end up waiting on a crowded beach). We booked it through GetYourGuide.
Barbora Č — Google review
My honest review would be that I was not expecting this tour to be as exhausting as it was. I appreciate the operator and the tour guides, and the views are nice. However, the travel time from the pier to the first island is quite long, which already drains my energy. Then, the nature trail to the viewpoint is another exhausting one. The tour guides can mention in advance that if they are interested, they can hike. I cannot recommend this tour to those who are weak in endurance. Plus, I think the trail is not just 500 meters long. So, I decided to go down after the next stop. There is less time at the beach to explore and swim. The lunch provided is so-so. The kayaking was also too much with the distance. It was quite exhausting, and we were not informed that it would be very far, plus the waves were strong. If you can find another island tour aside from this, I recommend choosing that instead.

If you’re reading this then this is the touristy part of the beach. On Google there are two markers that show up for this beach. The beach is basically split by a hill/rocks in between. Didn’t go to the other part of this beach but could see it being rather empty from where we were. Overall a very nice beach. Clear water, no rocks or corals for miles which makes it ideal for swimming. The shore is pretty wide and long so you’ll find a spot to lay down but probably not many shady areas since most of them are taken up by the loungers from cafes and restaurants that extend through this beach. It was a bit crowded when we went but given how wide and expansive the shore was, it didn’t feel crammed for space. Parking for scooters and cars were available few metres from the beach. Mini marts also available around the parking area if you want to grab some water and snacks before you enter the beach.

Amazing spot. Away from all the bustle and hustle of Koh Samui. Very quiet bay with awesome vibes

Beautiful sunrise at the stoned beach in Thong Nai Pan!! Drive through the resort during early morning was easy and the security guard let us drive in with the car and park there 👍 and then we walk for about a minute to the beach... The resort also has a good view point, walk up the steps once you get to the beach and up to the view point

One of the best beach on the island! Definitely worth a visit!

During our day tour of Koh Phangan Island, our guide brought us here to spend some time. It was a beautiful long beach. There were few resorts and restaurants overlooking the sea. Boating facility was also available. The beach was quite long and very clean. Ideal for couples and families.
Balkrishna S — Google review
It is a very beautiful beach, but the journey is quite uncomfortable because there are many hills and hills to reach the beach. But we are tourists, this is not a problem, but there is no shade from trees to stay because the hotels in that area are private.

The Bottle Beach 1 Resort is a relaxed and casual beachfront hotel with bungalows, an outdoor pool, a bar, and a restaurant. The resort offers guests the perfect getaway for swimming and snorkelling on the lovely stretch of sand surrounded by green hills. Visitors can also take part in hiking adventures from Ban Chalok Lam or explore Thong Nai Pan via beach taxi. The rooms are clean with stunning beach views adding to the tranquil vibe of this remote location.
Went back after all this time and they now have a swimming pool! Lovely beach , dead quiet Didn’t stayed , we walked and then got a taxi back up the hideous track down. You can get a boat to this beach - hasn’t changed much in 28 years really.

This resort actually tried to scam me. DO NOT book here. Short version: The hotel made a booking mistake, and wouldn't give me the room I paid for and booked. Then agreed to a refund, but wouldn't actually send it, and made me fight for it. I booked through Expedia weeks in advance. All was confirmed and paid for. However 2 hours before scheduled check-in time while I'm on the ferry over to Koh Phangan, someone from the hotel messages me to say they've made a booking error and the beach front villa that I had reserved is not available. To "make up" for it, they offer me a garden view room for 50% off what I paid already. But that unit is already nearly 50% less than what I paid, so what kind of offer is that? I declined and asked for a cancellation and full refund. I wanted a beachfront bungalow, because that's what i booked. The person I was speaking to instantly becomes rude, and tells me not to come to the resort because my reservation was cancelled and refunded. However the refund never showed up and Expedia had to contact the resort MULTIPLE times, in which they kept refusing to honor the refund the hotel already agreed to. It took nearly 2 weeks of Expedia calling the resort multiple times and eventually a refund was provided. They made a booking error. Then they got rude with me. Then they tried to scam me out of the payment. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Trust me do not go. Just don't. Location beautiful but remote. Guys that work the restaurant were the best part. They tried to charge my son as an adult on the taxie ride in. They did give money back when I called them on it.
Colleen G — Google review
It was one of the worst hotel I’ve ever been. Bathrooms were terrible and there was no protection for bugs. Workers were rude and disrespectful. Transportation is the worst part. On the sites they write we can use taxi, but without a 4x4 it’s impossible to reach to the hotel. We rent a motor and accidentally entered the road, we couldn’t go back after entering. When we reached the hotel hardly, for our return they charged a lot of extra money to take the motorcycle. Workers were careless and they said we have to pay otherwise we have to take the motorcycle on our own from a mountain road. Apart from the beach which is something natural and the hotel couldn’t destroy it, there is no reason to stay at a hotel like this. I would never recommend After reading the comment of the resort; they were shouting at the reception to us even though that I warned them to be respectful. Also even on the website while I make reservation there was no information regarding 4x4 trucks, only mentioned as taxi. We arrived late after sunset. Therefore the signs which they mentioned about warning were not visible at all. And after you ride around 1 km on that terrible road, you will see the warning sign, then there is no turning back. You have to pay money. And what they mean when they say ‘they tried to help’ they mean we had to pay a lot of money. It’s not helping it’s a money trap for the customers. I attached the video of the road and the entrance of it. You will see no warning signs only taxi prices.

Location is perfect, in case you look for serenity, with few people, and pretty much secluded from the outside world - then it is the place. The Sea is nice to swim. The staff at the restaurant are very nice. They also provide transfer from/to the hotel, since definitely not recommending to go there by your car/motorbike due to unpaved road last 15 mins. During rain that road can be quite dangerous. Rooms are old and a smelling mold. Quite expensive room considering how equipped it is. In case you want air conditioner and hot water, you have to pay daily extra, which is ridiculous. In the room is fan, which is a bit helpful. No room service. However area is nice and green around. The pool looked a bit dirty. Even though living conditions were not ideal, I still loved the bottle beach, it has its magic.
Revaz N — Google review
Great location if you don't consider how inconvenient it is to get to your room. Having to pay or walk for kilometers through the jungle till you arrive vice versa if you're parking your car or scooter up the top, cause it seems you can't access the resort directly. Host experience really bad though, would not recommend staying here.

We had an amazing 2 nights staying here. We had a bungalow on the beach front and loved it. The room & bathroom was clean and spacious, and it was lovely listening to the wildlife and waves at night!

RUN AWAY ! The hotel notifies you the day before arrival of information on how to get to the accommodation: road impassable by scooter, car or on foot, only by 4x4 with their taxi service. Exorbitant price!!! 300 baht/person/way !!!! It's too expensive ! Just imagine the amount to go out and in 2x a day... I absolutely do not agree with this, taking customers off their damaged road should be free!!!!!! Refusal to refund and lack of respect. Stealing their customer's money

Salad Beach, also known as Haad Salad, is a serene and picturesque coastal spot located in the northwest of Koh Phangan. It is renowned for its white sandy bay, clear ocean waters that are perfect for snorkeling, and stunning sunsets. The beach offers a relaxed atmosphere and is popular among families, with plenty of cozy bars, resorts, and eateries serving authentic Thai cuisine. Visitors can explore the area on foot or rent scooters from Thong Sala.
Great beach!! Clean and nice water with plenty of coral and sea life close to shore. Beware of sea urchins too though. Also water is quite warm where shallow. Not much shade at this beach but it is nice and wide and a few bars/shops/cafes available.
Jas L — Google review
Did not rate this beach at all. It was lovely and quiet but the tide was super low with sea moss, coral and seaweed which was not inviting to swim at all. I was staying on this beach for 6 days and did not swim in the sea at all. Lucky my resort had a lovely pool. Stayed in May so perhaps I was unlucky
P P — Google review
Beautiful and peaceful beach. The water is super clear, but not great for swimming — there are corals near the shore and it stays shallow even if you walk out far. It was the same the whole time we stayed
Nelson H — Google review
I can’t understand why people give 5 stars review here. It’s super dirty, trash everywhere on the beach and micro floating plastics in the sea everywhere. Maybe far away from the beach has better cleaner water ?! ….there are many clean, beautiful islands and beaches in the world, it’s not worthy to spend money on this island !!!

nice beach. long and has swings. pretty clean as well. water was clear and sand was light. loved the beautiful sunset i caught, and they have at least 3 restaueants in the beach to choose from. 😊😊 one of the nicest beaches in koh phangan. considering how much i generally hate beaches this is really quite nice.
Mengg — Google review
Lovely beach but a little less pristine than other ones 10 minutes away. Great to chill, a little rocky so bring water shoes to this one if you plan to go out into the water. Still absolutely swimable and fun with almost no rip tide so safe for kids.
Mack B — Google review
Beautiful beach and pool but the rooms had no kettle, we had to ask, no tea or coffee or cups in the rooms, no plugs for your handbasin in the bathroom, when we asked for a cup we got told to get one from the restaurant and pay 100 baht deposit, we have traveled extensively around Thailand over the years and never had any place where there is nothing in the rooms, as well as been been charged a deposit of 500 Baht for a room key, there was no welcome when you arrive like an introduction to what there is if anything, when we first asked for a taxi we got told 600 baht per person there and back, you are so remote and far from proper shops and anything else, imagine if you wanted to do things on a daily basis, why they do not have a shuttle at various hours I do not know, if you do come remember to bring your own snacks, coffee, tea etc, definitely will not be back, this place could be paradise if whoever owns it would pay more attention to detail

Mu Ko Surin National Park is a popular archipelago known for its excellent snorkeling and diving opportunities. It's famous for Manta rays, sea turtles, and whale sharks. The park offers outstanding diving spots with diverse marine life including various fish species and beautiful coral reefs. Despite the long boat ride to get there, the park provides a peaceful and less crowded environment, making it an ideal place for snorkeling during the dry season.
The coral spots we visited were very nice! Super healthy and clean. We went to secret spots tho which is probably the reason.
Morit L — Google review
Lovely lovely beaches, snorkeling spots, and creatures on the beaches. Meals might be a bit slow in the canteen. But, hey, they even have tents with A/C! Electricity only available at the canteen between 7-10 pm. Free room temperature and hot water available at the canteen, that's a great help.
Michelle H — Google review
The boat ride there is a bit rough and strongly advise sea sick tablets. But its worth it. The surin islands are absolutely beautiful
Karen G — Google review
The National Park is set in the Surin islands and is absolutely stunning. The scenery is gorgeous with the clear blue waters and a colorful coral reef with plenty of fish. However the national park staff, with the exception of some like Alex, are just plain rude. They barely smile at all and they seem like they don’t want any of the tourists there at all. In particular the ladies at the front who deal with check in, coupons for food, and the drink lady seemed particularly crabby. Not to mention the mental system they have in place for food coupons. You have to exchange cash at the coupon counter to get food, but if you want to order drinks, you have to pay with cash or go exchange your food coupons for cash… literally going back and forth between the counters to get the right change and coupon amount. We decided to go on the snorkeling trip through the national park (Sebina tours) and we were told we were required to rent life jackets for 40 baht per person, even though we did not need them. When we got to the other side of the island where the snorkeling tour starts from, we were told they were not required… not sure if this was due to language barrier or not, but the life jackets that we were REQUIRED to rent sat on the boat for the duration of the trip. The rest of our stay was solid, as long as we were not dealing with the unfriendly staff. They really put a damper on what could be a superb experience

Clear blue sky with crystal clear water. Variety of corals and many types of fish. Each bays has its own unique beauty. One of my most favourite destinations.
Phanicha C — Google review
Definitely the best sea national park of Thailand!!! The beaches are so pristine - white fine sandy beach everywhere. The coral reef is the best - lots to see: different kinds of corals and fish, lots of fish, angle fish, crown fish, etc. The moken villege is also intersting and worth a visit. It's worth your time and effort to get there - 1:50 hours by speed boat from Tub Lamu pier in Phang-nga. We recommend the tour operator name "Love Andaman." It is the best the staff is very attentive to your needs - children or seniors.

The most beautiful snorkeling we had while visiting Thailand. A while ranges of accommodation available on three Island, from small tent all the way to climate controlled glamping. The food service on site is also very good. We had meals planned out for us on the tour, but there are options to order from the menu.

Beautiful place I came for 4 days and then extended to 7 as I luckily found a cancelled reservation. Never needed AC , the two fans in the room are enough. Amazing view, clean, quiet and right on the beach. You need some sort of transport because to eat by night it’s a 5 min journey by bike. However you can order food here until 6pm and eat takeaway. Pham the lady who manages the resort is very friendly too. If I’ll come back to KohTao I’d love to stay here again.

I went to the beach to snorkel. The fish are amazing here. I swam with all sorts including reef sharks. Only downside is the sand/grit on the beach is full of rubbish and cigarette butts. For the love of God get one of those machines that siphons the rubbish out. Walking down the beach was horrible.

We were only at the restaurant, being one of then only two choices in that beach. We got terrible sixk after drinking two fruit shakes there. Not sure if the place is so remote they dont get easy access to clean water/ice but we end up in hospital with IV medicine and antibiotics for a week. Can happen anywhere but maybe they can improve their sanitary standards.

I love this stay so much. Been here twice in a row. The rooms and the view are breathtaking. I love the balcony so much. 10/10 would recommend.
Nicho S — Google review
I honestly didn’t want to give only 3 stars but the lack of air con spoilt it for me. The room was pretty basic which is okay and it suited me fine. I booked as the sea view balcony over looking the bay sold it to me and as a consequence missed the lack of air con which was my own fault. I was also stitched up by booking.com by paying over the odds. Not a fact, just my gut feeling. Like a lot of Koh Tao, the access roads to places are very steep so if you are new to scooters, please take it easy. After 8 days I got to know the road/track very well and was comfortable with it, even at night. I did a 5 day diving course so didn’t have any time at the restaurant/beach area. It did look lovely and inviting but the restaurant closed at 18:00. The owner said it was because everyone left the complex to go into town which is a real shame for them as it would be such a lovely place to eat. I hope this changes for the owners and people come to dine there as well as the accommodation because it would be a stunning place to eat. Installing air con would have made a huge difference to my star rating and I really am sorry to only give you 3 stars as all the staff were so lovely too.

Booked this place on the basis the snorkelling & diving were great however the weather for the whole Five days was nothing I’ve ever seen rain rain and more rain. Nobodies fault, we did note some of the other reviews and didn’t expect a five star however this place is so rundown and in need of some serious TLC. We were getting bitten so muck from what we thought was mosquitoes it was getting rediculous having taken so many precautions and having the net over the bed. Then the bits started to fester and realised they weren’t mosquitoes but either bed bugs or bed flees. We told the women in charge who we assumed was the owner and she acted like nothing had happened ?she did say it happened 3 years ago and they changed the bed ??? Not even an apology. The road out and in of the resort is dangerous with no lights at night so be prepaired and take a touch if you stay there. I’ve been going to Thailand for 20 years and this is the worst place I’ve stayed come 6pm when the restaurant closed these nothing to do trust me I mean nothing. Restaurant food is priced say 200 baht for pad Thai then you have to pay more for chicken and more if you want prawn and even more for sea food and would say the food is very average. The only nice thing about this place is the view from bungarlow room. But dose not compensate for bed flees my wife’s legs are a mess she must have been more sensitive than me . Needless to say we were do happy to get out of the place and looked round for other places to stay if you want to sample the beach and swim take a taxi or bike visit but don’t stay but be careful of the road it’s so steep.

Nang Yuan Island, located just a short boat ride from Koh Tao, is a picturesque destination known for its unique geography. Comprised of three interconnected islands linked by a sandy bar, it offers stunning views and opportunities for snorkeling and diving in the surrounding aquamarine waters. Accessible via boat from various nearby locations, including Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, Nang Yuan Island is a popular day trip destination.
Easily accessible island just off Koh Tao, very beautiful, however it's beauty is hidden , by large numbers of day visitors, until the last boat leaves at 3:30pm, leaving only those staying at the hotel, and it's staff.

We (the tourists) took the best part away years ago. Above the water everything looks clean and neat. Beautiful sunset etc. Underwater different situation. There is not much littering to be seen however most corals are basically dead. Same as Koh Tao all around the island the snorkel spots look like grave yards. Few fishes here and there. The years of extended underwater tourism with unprotected exposure to dum and ignorant people who would just stand on the corals took its toll. It’s a disgrace. Maybe too late the Thai finally introduced stricter measures. Best thing to do for us - not come back for 50 years

An absolute must visit when in Koh Tao. This island is absolutely gorgeous, the white sands, turquoise waters and the stunning greenery and scenery make this an absolute paradise. Instead of booking an expensive tour to visit here, we drove to the hotel Dusit Buncha and paid a few hundred baht to use there boat service which goes usually most hours and takes about 10 minutes.

did a three hour trip to this island near Koh Tao and it was absolutely worth it! It’s about 10 min with long tail taxi boat The water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The bed and breakfast located in the Santorini Park provides Mediterranean-style accommodation within a theme park. Guests are given access to a shared kitchenette, as well as free entry to the park. Overall, our stay was enjoyable thanks to the kind and helpful staff who were attentive to our requests. While they could benefit from more training in product knowledge and English language skills, we appreciated their efforts to provide top-notch service.
Such a beautiful place, good for refreshing. Really cozy room. Everything served so well. In addition, you can enter Santorini Park for free if you stay at here. And at nights there is free shuttle bus that pick us to midtown

Clean, plenty of chairs and shade, limited but affordable food options, fun for little and big kids. Lockers available. Cabanas can be rented for 2,000 baht per day; I think they have AC and TV! Bring your own towels but no outside food or drink. Pricey but worth it. Residents qualify for a discount.

I had a pleasant stay here, the staff are kind and helpful. They listen to your request, even though I think that they need more training in their product knowledge and English but I know they are trying to give their best service. I love their interior, so pretty and colorful. They also have common room to grab coffee, tea or hot chocolate for free and a cozy playroom. There are no international chanel available, so watching TV is not an option if you can't understand Thai. Everything else is as good as I expected.

We only visited the water park which I did enjoy very much. However the for how much I enjoyed the park the down side was there rules on food and drink, we had a bag check which solo reason was to look for food and drink. This would not be a problem but once we were in the park most western food such as burgers and pizza was not available. I don't have a problem if you have food and drink for us in the park but when you don't there is no reason not to let us take it in. Furthermore we had to buy a towel but the quality was very poor, I wish there has been better quality towels as would be happy to buy on as a memory for our holiday.

A very very pretty hotel. Looks like santorini and it has a pretty decent and interesting theme park connected to it. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. They serve super decent breakfast and also have many rooms like games room, relax room and common room. A very well equipped hotel. I would highly recommend this place! By far one of the best hotel and best look alike!

We had a wonderful and memorable stay here. It's really heart warming when we first stepped in to our room as it was decorated with balloons and "Happy Birthday" banner and also birthday present 😍 **We were here to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday and we did leave a note upon booking. Room was great! Clean, spacious and cozy.Easy excess to Santorini Theme Park & Water park. My children truly enjoyed it very much and hoping to come back again. Disadvantage : no food after 6:30pm, not even the hotel will provide u food. However, there's a nice restaurant which is about 3km away from hotel and taxi charges for 2ways @ 300Tbh. Another choice would be, packet some food at the theme park before they close.

The only cons of Place was completely outskirts, very hard to get any convince store and food outside, and very hard to get Grabs! Hotel rated as 3 stars, but everything they perform, to be fair I rate them 4 stars !! For those who prepare to visit nearby Camel Republic, Swiss Sheep Farm and Premium Outlet altogether, can stay here for a night is the ideal proposal! Breakfast got Vegetarian option for Vegetarians!

I edited my review to a 5 Star because of the staffs consolidated efforts and tenacity to right things by improving on their services and professional ethics. For that I am indeed impressed. Most important thing about Hospitality Business is that there’s always room for improvement and even though small in stature compared to other 5 Stars Hotels, the Santorini staffs’ efforts alone can stand toe to toe with numerous 5 stars Hotels; any day! Keep up the Good Work!

Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) is a sprawling conservation and animal rescue center located 45km west of Hua Hin. The facility houses over 500 animals, including elephants, monkeys, jungle cats, bears, tigers, gibbons, macaques, loris and birds. It also operates an elephant rescue program where the elephants live chain-free for the rest of their lives. Visitors can take full-access tours to learn about the animals and their rescue histories.
Volunteered here for 2 weeks and loved every second of it. The staff are friendly and charismatic which makes the work soo fun. I only worked with elephants however from the people I spoke with wildlife said that they loved it too! The food is INCREDIBLE and the variety is 10/10. Cannot wait to go back when I get the chance. The evenings are also super fun with a social area to hang out with other volunteers and get some snacks by the bar!

Incredible Full-Day Experience at the Elephant Sanctuary We opted for the full-day experience and are so glad we did. From start to finish, the day was incredibly well-organized and meaningful. Our guide spoke perfect English and took the time to answer every question with care and detail. The experience began with a short but powerful video explaining the sanctuary’s purpose. It’s heartbreaking to hear the stories and see footage of how these amazing animals were mistreated in the past—but it’s also inspiring to learn how the sanctuary is changing their lives for the better. The rest of the day is spent meeting and interacting with these same elephants in a peaceful, respectful environment where they are clearly well cared for and happy. It’s moving to see them living freely and naturally. Highly, highly recommend this experience to anyone who cares about animals or wants to learn more about ethical wildlife tourism. Truly unforgettable.

I volunteered here for 2 weeks, which frankly wasn’t long enough! I loved every minute of my experience here. The staff are so helpful and accommodating especially Jam, Fifa and Faii on the wildlife project. There was rarely a dull moment as Jam kept everyone’s spirits up! The days are long and the work is hard, but it’s so worth it! The animals here are so well cared for and it’s a privilege to be a small part of their journey. The house dogs around the volunteer accommodation are also so sweet! I honestly can’t say thank you enough to everyone at WFFT. Such a special place!!
Rachel — Google review
It was an absolutely fantastic, impressive, informative day. It is absolutely essential to make a reservation if you want to visit — otherwise, you won’t see any animals, and walk-ins are not possible. We booked five days in advance and there was only one slot left for the entire week. This is clearly explained on their website, so anyone who takes the time to read it will know. People who don’t check and then complain (as some reviewers here do) really have only themselves to blame. Signage could be better: when you arrive at the entrance, follow the small signs to the lodge, which can be easily overseen. It’s about a 10-minute drive from the reserve entrance. We had to ask several staff members along the way before we found it. Once there, everything was perfectly organized, and they were expecting us. The lodge has a terrace with a restaurant and a small kiosk selling snacks and drinks at normal, reasonable prices — not the tourist-gouging you see elsewhere. From the terrace, you can already see the first elephants up close. One thing that baffled me: despite clear signs and repeated instructions, some people still tried to feed the elephants whatever they had, even holding small children or babies over the wall. Some did it again the moment the park rangers turned their backs after warning them. If anything happens, it will of course be “the bad elephants.” Personally, I’d kick such people out without warning. Also clearly stated on the website: all tours are in English. We booked the full-day tour, with little children; it was easy enough to translate for the little ones. After a short introduction to the park, we set off in open buses to see various rescue areas — monkeys, several species of deer, bears, tortoises, and more. Each animal comes with its rescue story. Many are not native to Thailand and cannot be released back into the wild, so they live here in large enclosures. The monkeys and gibbons go through several stages: quarantine cages, socialization with other monkeys, and finally release onto a large, natural island in the reserve as the last step before reintroduction to the wild. There are parts where you have to walk through the grounds, so bring water and insect repellent — again, all explained on the website, so no excuses for later complaints. The website also mentions that this is temple ground and temple-appropriate clothing is required — however, in reality, regular clothing was fine and there was no dress code enforced. Lunch was a small buffet with rice, chicken skewers, and Thai curry — not a huge selection, but tasty, fresh, and more than enough. In the afternoon, we visited the big cats’ enclosures — the tigers are truly impressive — and saw more elephants. The day ended with feeding two blind elephants, who rely on humans to bring them fruit. Overall, it was incredibly moving to see the animals so close. The park even has a modern animal hospital and two very modern animal ambulance cars. The staff are clearly dedicated, and the grounds are well maintained. The tour guides were more than happy to answer all our questions. We felt far more comfortable here than at the many other “attractions” where you can ride elephants in chains or pet sedated tigers. Here, you get the feeling that animal welfare is genuinely the priority — and we were more than happy to pay the slightly higher price for that.

If you are anywhere near the area, this is an absolute must visit. It is a true rescue, rehabilitation, and (whenever possible) release operation. If you are looking for animal interactions, you shouldn't be, and, apart from feeding the elephants, won't get it here. As our guide said, "we are here for the animals, not them for us". It is a thoroughly enjoyable and educational experience. We did the full day tour, which included a lovely lunch, which we would recommend. A half day is also offered. These guys do absolutely amazing work and deserve to be supported.

I had the chance to volunteer at the Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand, and it was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. As part of my journey, I wanted to combine my passion for animals with a real humanitarian commitment, and WFFT exceeded all my expectations. The centre has a genuine focus on animal welfare. Every action, from daily feeding to enrichment activities, is designed with care for the animals’ well-being. You also get to work side by side with the mahouts, local staff (all incredibly kind and dedicated), and volunteers from all around the world. This creates a unique multicultural atmosphere where you learn from others every day. The activities are enriching and diverse, from preparing food to special projects like cleaning lakes or planting trees. Some tasks can be physically demanding under the Thai sun, but the reward is priceless: the joy of seeing elephants, monkeys, or bears enjoying the fruits of your work. Beyond the daily tasks, this experience is full of emotions. There is joy when you see rescued animals regain trust, laughter shared with volunteers, but also moments of sadness when you realise the suffering some of these animals endured before arriving at WFFT. It’s an experience that teaches humility, respect, and compassion. After spending four weeks there, I can only recommend this place, whether as a volunteer or simply as a visitor. It is a place where you will not only meet wonderful animals but also wonderful people. This experience left me with unforgettable memories and the certainty that I want to continue working to protect wildlife.

Amazing full day experience. We’ve been there as a family of 4 and can only recommend to see what is being done there to save wildlife from exploitation! Truly impressive experience and lets your think twice before paying for another animal tourist ‘experience’.

Wonderful one-day experience. You could feel the genuine care for the animals with the really knowledgable guide. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

National park
Nature & Parks
Kaeng Krachan National Park, established in 1981, covers a vast 2,914 square kilometers of forested land and is home to diverse wildlife and rivers. The River Phet originates from this park and flows into the Gulf of Thailand at Baan Laem. The park has multiple entrances that are quite far apart from each other. It's recommended to navigate to Ban Krang Camp for a more beautiful experience rather than the touristy headquarters area.
An awesome national park which is not far from Bangkok. There are many kinds of wild animals here including black panthers, leopards, elephants, ant eaters, etc. Of course, we haven’t seen those animals why we did hiking on the natural trail here. However we saw some foot prints though. We love the trail here because we have to walk across the stream several times. It is really fresh and nice. I wear a pair of water hiking shoes which is very practical for a trail like this. This trail is only 2.5 kilometers. We start from the tourist center at Baan krang (บ้านกร่าง) and finish at stream 1 (ลำธาร1). Our driver will drive there and wait for us. The minivan could not go further because the car will need to run across the stream. Only SUVs or trucks could go. There is no phone signal here, not from True. Dtac or even AIS. So it is not possible to call our driver at all. We just have to finish the trail. There are many beautiful butterflies here. Many signs tell all drivers to drive slowly and please avoid killing these butterflies. We visit here around the end of July. We enjoy our hike very much. It is not difficult at all. No steep path , just flat trail.
Nutharin P — Google review
Really enjoyed the experience. Butterflies were great. I wanted to do more hiking but realised the hiking and waterfalls you need to go further up for and you can't just do it without the proper vehicle so if you want to hike, make sure you make arrangements to go up further into the park, get permits and probably stay overnight in the park. Maybe that's just my experience or I didn't do enough homework prior to the trip but it wasn't as easy or permissible as I expected. You'll probably need a guide and to hire a 4 x 4 if you don't already have one. But well worth it. Butterflies, monkeys, bird life that we saw was worth it. The lake was magnificent! So scenic. Great place to explore. So much to see

Fantastic place for birding. Here are some of my favourites. You do need a guide to go some places, and a lot of locations and pinpoints are only known by the locals so you do need some connections.

Super Nice but the trail is for experienced hikers. We went by car and already saw a lot of birds, butterflies and deer. Very nice nature as well.
Jan U — Google review
Enjoyed the walk. It can get quite hard as some spots require climbing over rocks with the aid of built-in ropes. The first levels are an easy walk, and the further levels are more difficult. Good small waterfalls to see, lots of fish and butterfly's along the way.

Tham Khao Luang

Archaeological museum
Tham Khao Luang is a temple-like cave nestled in the mountain, accessible by either walk or drive. The cave boasts several Buddhist symbols and a reclining Buddha, with natural light pits and artificial lighting providing a serene ambiance. Visitors need to park at the nearby temple for free and pay an entrance fee of 10 baht per person plus ride ticket fee of 15 baht regardless of nationality.
A nice cave to visit. The way down is steep. I would say it's like walking down a four storey building. If you are not in good health, it may not be a good idea to visit. The cave is safe. It is big inside. A few bats are perched on the ceiling. There is a gift shop, restaurant, and beverages available onsite. Parking may be a challenge during busy days.

A beautiful and peaceful cave with many Buddha statues inside. The best part is the sunlight that shines through the top of the cave — it looks amazing and great for photos! The cave is clean and quiet. It’s a good place to visit if you want something calm and special. Just be careful with the monkeys outside — don’t bring food or they might come close. Only 2 hours from Bangkok, easy for a short trip. Worth a visit! 📍Free entry | 📷 Best time: Morning (for sunlight) |
Lê C — Google review
It's nice, when you like caves and Buddha's. The cave itself has mostly one relatively big "room" with a nice hole in the ceiling, where the sun shines through. It's a pretty sight. Aside from that there are a lot of Buddha statues in the cave. All around it is not super special, but since it is only 10 Baht, and really not far from the centre of Phetchaburi, I think you should give it a try, when you are around. Oh there are apes here, too.
Robin H — Google review
If you ask me whether it’s worth travelling for 3 hours from Bangkok to this cave I think it’s not worth it at all. Probably I have seen nicer and more majestic cave, but anyhow for those who still wish to come here can always do so as this is based on my personal view. In the morning I took grab from the hotel to Mo Chit 2 / Chatuchak bus station. Went to the ticket counter to enquire for the bus ticket. From Mo Chit / Chatuchak bus station to Phetchaburi bus station and the ticket price is 246 baht. Ticket counter will require you show them your passport if you are a foreigner. Return from Petchaburi bus station to Mo Chit 2 / Chatuchak bus station is cheaper at 140 baht. Entrance fee to the cave is only 10 baht.

Tham Khao Luang is a hidden historic cave that beautifully blends natural wonder with cultural and spiritual significance. Located in the hills of Phetchaburi, the cave houses a serene temple filled with Buddha statues, including a large reclining Buddha, all illuminated by natural light streaming through a large cave’s opening above. It’s a peaceful spot that appeals to a wide range of visitors — whether you're drawn by the natural cave formations, the historic royal connections, or the spiritual atmosphere. The site is well-maintained, and the walk down into the cave is manageable for most visitors. Highly recommended for those looking to explore a lesser-known but deeply meaningful destination in Thailand.

It is a small cave, worth a visit if you visit the palace that is near. It have steps and rails so it is safe and easy for everyone to go inside.

Cemetery
Nestled in the heart of Kanchanaburi, the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery serves as a solemn tribute to over 6,000 Commonwealth and Dutch soldiers who tragically lost their lives while forced to construct the infamous Burma-Siam railway during World War II. This beautifully maintained cemetery features lush gardens and manicured lawns, creating a serene environment for visitors to reflect on the immense sacrifices made by these courageous individuals.
The Kanchanaburi War Cemetery is a solemn, well-maintained, and deeply moving place. It’s not about grandeur but about memory—lined with headstones that represent individual stories and sacrifices. Visitors often describe it as a quiet space that prompts reflection and gratitude. Pairing it with the railway museum across the street makes for a balanced and meaningful visit. If you value thoughtful, emotional travel, I’d highly recommend making time for this. The cemetery holds nearly 7,000 graves—mainly British, Australian, and Dutch POWs from the Burma Railway. It also includes ashes of victims from a cholera outbreak and a memorial for those whose graves couldn’t be maintained elsewhere.
Kirandeep W — Google review
A peaceful and moving place that honors the memory of Allied POWs who died building the Death Railway. The cemetery is beautifully maintained and offers a quiet space for reflection. A must visit if you're in Kanchanaburi and interested in WWII history.

Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, also known as Don-Rak War Cemetery, is the primary burial ground for prisoners of war who died during the construction of the Burma Railway, also known as the Death Railway. Located in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, it holds the graves of over 6,900 Allied soldiers, primarily British, Australian, and Dutch, who perished from exhaustion, malnutrition, and disease.

A sad memorial to prisoners of war who died on a construction of the railway. Most of the soldiers died in their 20s. Well maintained.

The Kanchanaburi war cemetery is a solemn place dedicated to the memory of the fallen during world war 2. There were many nationalities during this period but I believe majority of the ones buried here are either British or Australian. It's right across the death railway museum.

River Khwae Bridge, also known as the Death Railway, is a historic bridge and rail line constructed by prisoners of war during World War II. It has gained notoriety through its association with the movie 'River Kwai Bridge' and is a key tourist attraction in Kanchanaburi. Visitors can explore the area's harrowing past by visiting important World War II sites such as the Allied War Cemetery, Thailand-Burma Railway Center, and Hellfire Pass.
If you're into classic trains and world war 2 history then this place is a good site for visiting. You'll see the bridge which you can get on at and walk over. The train is actually quite slow so you'll have plenty of time to avoid it. Plenty of people wave at the train as it crosses the bridge which is a cool video to take. This place is free to visit.

My 91 year old father returned to Thailand after 51 years to visit me and my girlfriend. We decided to bring him to this historic area seeing how he is a history buff. He served in the United States Air Force. He loved seeing and touching things he had read about or seen in movies. I am happy to create memories with him in this capacity.

4th October 2025: Historic location to visit, we visited at the start of the tourist season and it was ok, would imagine in high season the whole area is extremely busy. There is a POW camp on the other side of the river, the place is a total myth and tourist trap as no camp ever existed there. Plenty to see in the bridge area with the museum and cemetery in close proximity.

It is a nice place to visit, it is a must for those who care about history. Everything about the place says "old." Not very well maintained. The museum is mostly old and faded pictures. The bridge need some fixing. The train looks like it hasn't been updated since 1942. But, this is Thailand, not big on maintenence. The market is cool, but same old trinkets.

An amazing piece of history must see. The Thai museum is not that good but a better one is at the cemetery in town. You can ride the train across if you buy a ticket. The restaurant on the water is a little pricey for Thailand but a great view of the bridge. A recommend going if you can.

This place is a very scenic area, the river, the green hills in the background, and the old trains make it great for photos. You can walk across the bridge but just watch out for the tourist train that occasionally comes through. There are lots of food stalls, coffee shops, and souvenir stores around, so it’s easy to spend an hour here. I visited around 2 PM, it was not too hot, and the light was beautiful.

The River Kwai Bridge is a popular tourist spot. It's a great place to take photos, but if you want to capture the iconic shot of a train crossing, be sure to check the train schedule in advance—I missed the timing. The area around the bridge is filled with souvenir stalls, cafes, and restaurants. It was incredibly hot, so I only spent about 45 minutes there, taking a few photos before leaving. I did, however, have some delicious and reasonably priced soup noodles at a nearby restaurant. Parking is limited, so it's a good idea to plan ahead.

Transportation
The Tham Krasae Death Railway Bridge is a poignant reminder of the tragic history surrounding the construction of the Burma Railway during World War II. Built by Allied POWs and local laborers under harrowing conditions, this bridge stands as a testament to their resilience. Located in Kanchanaburi, it attracts both Thai locals and international tourists who come to capture its beauty and historical significance.
We visited this stretch of the death railway as part of a tour from Bangkok, due to our love for history. Aside from the picturesque location of the railway track running alongside the river and cliff, there is also an important historical significance to this stretch of the railway, due to the difficulty in construction. We were able to board the train to journey with it for 30 minutes, which was quite the experience as the train only runs along the river for a limited stretch. The train is also quite old school with no air conditioning, which further adds to the entire experience. You can also try visiting on your own, but highly encourage you to take a tour due to how outskirt this place is.

Tham Krasae Death Railway Bridge is a pretty cool spot, though it does get crowded with tourists. The view is absolutely lovely, especially with the river and the tracks curving along the cliffside. The best part was taking the train afterward—it was such a great experience, with beautiful scenery passing by.

Nice place to take some beautiful pictures and learn something about the modern history of Thailand during the 2nd world war. You could walk over these train tracks to a cave nearby. There's also a beautiful view from here of the surroundings.

Tham Kra Sae is one of the most impressive and historic spots along the Death Railway. The wooden tracks hugging the cliffside above the river are breathtaking to see, and walking along them feels like stepping back in time. The small cave with the Buddha image adds a spiritual touch to this place. A must-visit for history lovers and travelers exploring Kanchanaburi.

Part of the Siam-Burma railway, also known as the death railway. We took a train from Nam Tok station and passed this section. The railway sure looks old, the train had to go very slowly when passing this section. A cool experience but I was just wondering how long can this last before an accident happens (unless they do replace part of the foundation). People will rush to one side of the train to take photos as well, which could make it worse lol. well, we alighted safely.

Take the train from the railway bridge to get here. It's beautiful, historic, majestic and enjoyable. You can get a ride to take you somewhere else after that.

Would have rated this place a 5 star if it weren’t for this one bad experience. So here was what happened, we are a group of 7 people(tourists) who went on the moving train on that death railway bridge to get to another stop just for sightseeing and when we got on the train we were charged 100 baht for each person just to get to another one stop which I think the price is extremely unreasonable while the locals at that same time were charged 3 baht per person, like I mean who made these prices and it was too late for all of us to get off the train because it’s already moving, plus I also believed the ticket inspection officer just made up the prices right out of his mouth and I don’t think it is the official price for tourists, other than this bad experience it’s a great historical site with splendid views ideal for photography and sightseeing

Wildlife and safari park
Outdoor Activities
Safari Park Kanchanaburi is a rescue park for various animals including monkeys, elephants, giraffes, and big cats. Visitors can participate in feedings and zookeeper experiences. The 2-day Ancient Markets & Kanchanaburi program offers a glimpse into Thailand's ancient markets, including the famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and Rom-Hoop Railway Market where vendors clear the market section to make way for passing trains.
Great experience, especially for families and animal lovers! 🦒🐯 Tickets are cash only, so make sure to bring enough money. Don't forget to buy animal feed at the entrance — it makes the visit much more interactive. You can either use the safari vehicle provided or drive your own car through the park, which is a fun and unique way to get close to the animals. You’ll get to feed deer and geese, and see bears, tigers, leopards, and lions up close. The absolute highlight is the giraffes — they’ll stick their heads right into your car looking for food! It’s such a memorable and fun moment. There’s also a zoo area where you can see more exotic animals on foot after the drive-through safari. Overall, it’s a fun half-day trip. Just be prepared with cash and enjoy the hands-on experience with the animals!

Interesting place! Definitely not your usual kind of zoo visit, I must say. The giraffe enclosure was the highlight of my trip — my favourite part of the zoo! The giraffes come up really close, sometimes right up to your face, which makes the experience super memorable. The staff were professional and even helped us take a lovely family photo and a video with fun transitions, which was such a nice touch. You’ll also get the chance to feed giraffes, deer, and other small animals — great fun for both kids and adults. One thing to note: it can get a little chaotic on the bus while feeding the giraffes. They head straight for the bucket of carrots, so keep it away from your face if you don’t want them getting too close! Overall, it’s a fun and unique experience — interactive, hands-on, and something different from the typical zoo stroll. Highly recommended for families, animal lovers, and anyone looking for a memorable day out.

The Kanchanaburi zoo have different price for locals $100b & foreign visitors $400b. The place is huge but definitely need to improve the attractive points as most of the places are dated,as well as the tour bus are really too old, if the zoo wants to get more visitors, please also enhance your facilities. Highlight of the zoo, if you don't want to pay extra to take pictures & get really close to giraffe, will be the tour bus that bring you to different kinds of animals from deers, tigers, panthers, zebra, lions & giraffe. It was fun when you feed them and react with them. Other than that, there is a huge garden & also with small animals in the cage, which they looked really sad & not healthy...

I visited Kanchanaburi Safari Park recently and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The park offers a unique chance to get extremely close to the animals, especially the giraffes, which was definitely the highlight of the visit. Being able to feed them from the safari bus and take photos up close is something you don’t get in most places. The giraffes are gentle and curious, making it fun for both adults and kids. The safari drive-through section is interesting as well, with a good variety of animals such as deer, zebras, ostriches, and camels. The ride is smooth, and the staff make sure everyone gets a chance to enjoy the feeding and photo moments. The views around the park are also beautiful, with greenery and mountains in the background adding to the overall atmosphere. That said, some areas of the park could be improved. A few enclosures look a little older and may benefit from future upgrades. Also, expect it to be quite crowded during weekends and holidays, especially around the giraffe-feeding zone. Despite these minor points, it’s still a memorable and family-friendly attraction worth visiting. If you enjoy animal encounters and want an up-close experience, Kanchanaburi Safari Park is definitely worth checking out.

This zoo is so much fun! I honestly didn’t expect a small province like this to have such a beautiful and well-kept zoo to explore and enjoy. It was a really nice surprise. The ticket price is very reasonable, and you get to see so many animals—bears, lions, tigers, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, snakes, chickens, and many more. It’s a great place to stop by if you’re visiting Kanchanaburi. Perfect for families, animal lovers, or just anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable day.
Thanutchaknowles — Google review
The zoo is well-maintained and interactive, with no unpleasant smells in most areas. You can feed many of the animals and even go for animal rides, which adds to the experience. However, be aware that most of these extra activities, like feeding and riding, require additional fees. The entrance fee for tourists is 550 baht, which only covers the bus ride and admission—feeding is not included. I found this a bit expensive. Also cash only, which I was almost ran out since this was at the end of the trip. Hopefully they can start accepting card or promptpay soon. During my visit, the crocodile show area was under renovation or closed, even though we arrived at the scheduled time. Unfortunately, there was no prior notice about this. I highly recommend buying animal feed (100 baht) before the bus tour. Feeding the animals—especially the giraffes, who sometimes “robbed” us—was a highlight of the trip and a lot of fun.
Gary C — Google review
I visited Safari Park Kanchanaburi with high hopes and had both fun and reservations. Riding the open‑air bus through different zones was exciting, giraffes, zebras, llamas, deer, lions, tigers, and more roam in semi‑wild enclosures. Feeding the gentle giraffes and zebra from the vehicle was definitely a highlight. However, some areas felt outdated and poorly maintained. The elephant shows felt ethically outdated and uncomfortable to watch. Tickets were reasonable for Thais but foreigner prices are so high given the facilities. overall, if you’re eager to feed giraffes and enjoy a unique safari vibe, it can be fun—but wildlife lovers concerned about animal welfare may feel conflicted. Expect about 2–3 hours to explore.

I thought I’d have opportunities to play with cubs, but instead it was photo op (1000 baht). Had I known, I would’ve skipped it. Staff seemed friendly to the animals and taken care of. Safari tour + feeding animals & petting zoo was amazing.

Nature & Parks
Erawan Falls, located in Erawan National Park, is a stunning waterfall consisting of seven tiers that can be accessed through scenic trails and footbridges. The natural beauty of the park and the falls is open for everyone to enjoy, with additional activities such as visiting the Sri Nakharin Dam Golf Course available for those seeking more adventure. The area also offers various accommodation options and is surrounded by picturesque landscapes, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Best place for someone who loves nature and waterfalls there are 7 levels of waterfalls and a little hike till 7 level . It’s all worth it . Best time to visit is in the morning or before afternoon bcz the 7th level closed at 3:30 and you have to hike about 1:30 to 2 hours to get to the top

The area is beautiful, consists of 7 waterfalls. There are golf carts that can help you get to the first few levels, but after that you're on your own. It is definitely a hike and you need to be ready to walk/trek and the path is not smooth. You can swim normally in some of the waterfalls, some only with a life jacket (which you can rent) and some you cannot swim at all. I recommend renting a life jacket and swimming in the earlier levels, as level 7 is the "pinnacle", but there are small fish there that keep biting you, and no one was comfortable swimming in level 7. I wish they sold snacks/drinks at the higher levels, because after the early levels there is nothing but the watefalls, and they take your food/drinks at that checkpoint. It's beautiful, requires a lot of physical effort, and it was rather underwhelming overall. Pictures are better than the reality. If you want to save money, stay in Kanchanaburi and just take a bus or a grab to Erawan.

Stunning. Some of the most beautiful falls I've ever seen. To see all 7 levels is quite a hike but accessible to most. Well worth the walk. The lower 3 levels take very little effort and are fantastic.

My first and last nationalpark in this country! What is this a waterpark or a protected area for wildlife? Luckily i saw some wildlife otherwise it would be a complete disappointment. As a waterpark great i guess especially for families for all nature lovers avoid. Should had spend the time and money for a thai massage . P.s. Tourists who visit my country don't need to pay more for the same attractions as locals.Really shameful.

This is a truly stunning waterfall. There are seven levels, so be sure to bring good hiking shoes, as you'll feel like you're hiking all the time, and there are quite a few steep steps. It feels like you're climbing a mountain. Food and drinks are available for purchase, but you'll need to purchase a coupon. Life jackets are also available for those who want to swim. There are always staff on hand to assist. It was quite a lot of people , but it's well worth it.

Great hike up to 7 levels of beautiful waterfalls. I went there with my gf and my son and we all loved it. Make sure to take breaks to swim in the water. Free fish massage included.

fantastic experience. sure foreigners pay alot more at 300 but its great value for what you get. pools filled with tame fish who will nibble at your feet. the first 2 tiers were good. the ones after that aren't worth the hike up.
