We have swam on the Ilgın beach side of Hurma beach. Due to rough road, I parked a little far from sea. Sea was warm with little waves. We had enjoyed after Çökertme beach which did not satisy our expectations.

(Translated by Google) The roads were very winding and narrow, and the beach wasn't very wide. There are only 10 umbrellas belonging to the Bodrum Municipality, but no sunbeds. There are a few private businesses nearby, but you can use their sunbeds. I asked one and they said they charge a 250₺ service fee per person and don't accept outside food or drink. If you're coming here, I recommend bringing your own umbrella, table, and chairs; otherwise, it's not very comfortable. The water was wavy and clear when we visited. While the edges were rocky, the rest of the beach had fine sand and a moderate temperature. Despite it being a weekend, it was quiet and calm. Note: Parking is a problem; there was a private parking lot nearby, and we paid 200₺ per vehicle for the day. Ahmet always hosted us wonderfully, as did his son, Ege, and we were very pleased again. Our brother, Berke, took excellent care of us. The best sea in the region is right in front of the Blue Green Bungalow. The rooms were spotless, as always, and the food was just as good. We came in early September, and it was a wonderfully quiet, peaceful, and uncrowded location. We had a wonderful rest and the prices were quite reasonable. I highly recommend it. Resadiye Yarimadasi

Peninsula
Neighborhoods
50-mi.-long Datça peninsula with pine-crested hills, olive groves, coves, bays & deserted beaches.
We stayed 2 nts in Datça Center and 4nts in Hayıt Bükü West of Datça Center. Also visited Palamut Bükü further West. At the western tip of the peninsula lies Knidos (ruins of an ancient Roman town). Datça peninsula is not near any airport and is sparsely populated compared to most Mediteranean beacjes and coastal towns of Turkey. Pristene beaches & low humidity has made Datça Peninsula an attractive choice for small groups, couples and loners.

Datca Doris Hotel

Hotel
Outdoor Activities
Luxurious rooms & suites, some with balconies, in a polished hotel offering an outdoor pool.
I had the pleasure of staying at Datça Doris Hotel this summer, and it was truly a memorable experience. The hotel is beautifully located, offering stunning views of the sea and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms were spotless, well-designed, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure we felt welcome and well cared for. I especially appreciated the delicious breakfast with fresh, local ingredients and the serene ambiance of the hotel's surroundings. If you're looking for a tranquil getaway with excellent service, Datça Doris Hotel is the perfect choice. I will definitely come back!

A Hidden Gem by the Sea This boutique hotel is a true hidden gem — beautifully designed with attention to every detail. The setting is peaceful and serene, with well-maintained grounds that add to the charm. Although boutique in style, the space feels open and inviting. Just a few steps away is a clean, sandy beach with crystal-clear water — perfect for a relaxing escape. A wonderful blend of comfort, beauty, and tranquility. Owners are always on site making sure all is good. Appreciate that🌸❤️ Also food and beverage prices are not astronomical and they take good care of everything.
Shopbox G — Google review
Absolutely amazing setting. The staff could be a little better. Seems like too many people walking around not paying attention to what your needs are. Very clean facilities and bathrooms. The beach area is very clean and maintained as well.
Tony K — Google review
Very beautiful property outside the town. Very relaxing and the staff were very kind. The beach and pools are both very beautiful. Highly recommend! The water was clear and refreshing when I went in early June and the hotel was not too crowded.
Leah S — Google review
Such a great hotel to have a great vacation. We had been there for 5 days with a one year old baby. All facilities are child friendly. The staff is great and so helpful. Especially Mr Selcuk is great, talkative and mindful. The hotel is relatively close to Datca center. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the menu has many different options. The price is very good. The beach is very nice and the sea is very clean. Highly recommended.
G. D — Google review
For me it’s an excellent hotel in a beautiful beach! Very friendly and efficient beach and restaurant staff, such as beach and swimming pool services. Very nice, comfortable and clean rooms. At the beginning you can feel a discomfort because of a not warm welcome. They have an excessive cost control also and you can be somewhat annoying situations ... but if you balance advantages and beauty of the hotel and the place, 100% you will forgive everything. It is a recommended place and we will certainly return many times.
Salvatore M — Google review
This hotel is even more beautiful in person! Growing up I visited Datca very often and this hotel and bay exceeded our expectations. The grounds are so authentic and the beach is amazing. The soft sand in the water made you never want to get out. The service is exceptional, lots of staff around to help with all needs. We can’t wait to come back!
Serra T — Google review
Nicely located in one of the several bays throughout Datça peninsula, well-spread buildings (villas) backwards that has 4-6 rooms each and all has a balcony. Clean rooms and hotel, breakfast is ok but was above my expectations anyway. Weather is just perfect in September, temperature is still high but low humidity and winds does help to cope with the heat. Great for couples with children, both pool and beach access. You can also order food/drinks on the beach which is great. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Beach, clear and comfortable temperature water, nice beach. Its a small town with friendly people around. Specially the Camping Area next to the paragliding landing point. It has a water source, free shower possibility (not allowed with shampoo) and WCs by the Cafes for 2 Lira.
Sibel T — Google review
The closest paragliding take off to Bodrum which makes my visits there pretty often. Not a sun bath lover but it has an OK beach with a wonderful view, and some average restaurants. The only question mark is that how healthy is it when a power plant is right next to the beach, I leave that to you. Have fun!
Deniz G — Google review
Very good beach with good amenities close by for provisions. Didn't go swimming however plenty others were. Very nice stretch of beach front

Beaches
Akbük is a beautiful beach with wonderful views and definitely gorgeous sea and mountain. You can swim in every shade of green and blue in a few strokes. Very kid friendly, Nice restaurants and cafes for food and drinks. Heated showers is a big winner.People camp there too which cost 15 usd-50 usd for tend and it will be cheaper if we have our own tend.since its a seasonal operating place during summer june-sep I think the things are little expensive so its better to buy the stuffs before going there . mini bus available from mugla bus station and akyaka which cost around 3 - 5 usd suggested to have a day trip to enjoy the serenity of beach .
Binoy M — Google review
I had a good experience in akbük but i heard that it used to be more relaxing and beautiful over there but now its too crowded and not that good if you just want to chill out. There's a beautiful forest there too but the fire department won't let you camp there unfortunately. And if you want to camp you either should find a place before actually getting to akbük or you have to camp in the campsites which are too crowded and in my opinion awful ! And overpriced
Sara H — Google review
From Akyaka it is almost 50 min distancr by car, a challenging Road but a hidden town by the sea and Mountain. Clean sea and perfect nature
Gevher G — Google review
Great bay with clean water and amazin nature. Having a camping site is a plus!
Gokmen U — Google review
The water is amazing and worth a visit. There are a few small open air places that will serve you food and drinks. Paid 10try to park but worth every penny to swim in these waters. The beach is small but they sell chairs and umbrellas if needed but you dont come here to sit on the beach. I wish i had diving equipment with me.
Deertick — Google review
Be ready for very loud music for the whole day until 12, especially well heared if you are on a yacht. Worst mooring experience in Turkey so far
Artem B — Google review
One of the perfect place to have rest and swim. Still not commercial and “touristic”. Some sea side hotels and restaurants are occupying the beach but still it’s kind of “vlrgin” place for holiday.

Icmeler Beach is a beautiful public beach with stunning views of rocky hills covered in pine forests. While the water is clean, there have been some reports of litter on the beach. However, amenities such as changing cabins and showers are available. It's a quieter alternative to Marmaris Beach, offering a better view and fewer boats. Visitors can rent sun loungers and umbrellas for a fee and enjoy various water sports in the crystal-clear sea.
Really beautiful sandy beach. We were there mid November so it was really quiet with most of the beach bars and hotels shut. The place we stopped at for lunch on the beach was closing the next day so had a really limited menu, but it was a lovely beach.
Bonnie C — Google review
Most people friendly and salt of the earth. Couldn’t do enough for you. Any time of the day or night, there would be shops open. Some phenomenal evenings, breakfasts and lunches at The Majestic by the beautiful flower lined and walkbridge connected Canal. Surprisingly though, prices were similar to Sydney, Aus. prices or a little cheaper. It wasn’t as cheap as I had expected for such a small town. Overall, my experience in Içmeler was fondly memorable! Worth the trip.
Evgenia A — Google review
A nice beach in the centre of icmeler. It was empty in October so Marmaris is better if you want a more lively atmosphere, however if you want some peace and quiet this is the place to go. I’d imagine it’s quite different in the middle of the summer!
Noemi — Google review
Pleasant little town. We walked here from our hotel in Marmaris. Took just under an hour. Bars and shops aplenty. Water taxi to take you to and from Marmaris is a nice and fairly inexpensive form of travel if don't want to walk.
Dawn S — Google review
Sunbeds free of you buy drinks / for from the bars. Didn't get hassle once we got a bed and service was great
James W — Google review
Just went today.. was awesome water pure clear and clean.. there was a public beach in between the two business which was wide enough and had a good space for all. Sandy Beach and market nearby with reasonable price.. enjoyed and chilled a lot
Ali — Google review
Nice beach bit crowded in places best to get sunbeds from one of the restaurants and have food and drinks there. You get free sunbeds and WiFi while there then
Stuart S — Google review
The beach is nice but tiny pebbles and not sand . We used the sunbeds belonging to coco bar there.if you buy a drink you don't pay for sunbeds and they come round for you to order drinks , Had food in there too and was very nice ,people are so lovely there

Water & Amusement Parks
Aqua Dream Water Park is a sprawling 44,000m2 holiday resort water park in Marmaris, Turkey. It offers a variety of slides, tunnels, swimming and wave pools suitable for all ages. From adrenaline-fueled rides like the Kamikaze to more leisurely options, there's something for everyone. The park also features a top-notch restaurant serving delicious bites from seafood to kebabs.
This was such a good day at Aqua Dream Marmaris, we were there this Monday as a family of 4. Staff was super kind and helpful, pools were clean, slides were so much fun. DJ made us feel at home with a great selection of songs, foam party was lit, and there were latin dancer performing around 2:30 right before the foam party got started. Crowd was amazing too. And view ??? Just look at the great shot I got, absolutely spectacular. Food wasn't as expensive as I thought. We had a pizza and a waffle later for the kids. They were all delicious, no complaints. We will come back for sure...
Danielle J — Google review
The slides were very nice, the foam was insufficient at the foam party and we didn't have much fun. The area for children is very nice, I recommend it. While some employees were interested, I did not like the attitude of some employees. If not for those employees, I would recommend it very well in general.
Burak E — Google review
Amazing waterpark, much better than the one on the beach, worth paying the extra for! Plenty of pools and slides for all ages! Staff more than helpful pulling out extra sunbeds as and when requested, the scottish lady on the bar was very friendly! Kids loved the icecream & strawberries! We will 100% return on our next trip to turkey!
Stephanie M — Google review
The kitchen chef was amazing! Great food and he is very friendly. Big portions and the kitchen is spotless. Very nice place.
Mary B — Google review
Brilliant place amazing atmosphere and setting, the DJ equipment needs an update, the food is a bit expensive and the portion size is massive, pizzas are very big, but apart from that great family and couples place
Paul M — Google review
It was great place to go, slides are enjoyable. There is place to drink and eat and they are great. And the most important thing about here is its view. Great view, great vibe great place to be. Please bring the towel with u or you can buy from here!
Ilkin K — Google review
Slides and pool were great and the staff were attentive and friendly. Food was also lovely The foam party was very underwhelming, but other than that, a great day out in Marmaris
Bee B — Google review
We had a fantastic day at the waterpark! Perched at the top of the hill, it offers amazing views over Marmaris bay as well as a huge variety of slides to keep everyone entertained. The atmosphere was brilliant – the poolside DJ and foam party gave it a real holiday vibe. Everything was well organised, clean, and felt safe, which made it easy to just relax and enjoy the day. A perfect mix of fun, music, and great facilities – highly recommended for families and groups alike! 🌊🎶💦 For the cheapest prices, buy tickets directly from their website, instead of your operators.

It offers a range of attractions suitable for all ages, including water slides, pools, and mini-golf. Visitors can also enjoy restaurants and bars within the park. Additionally, Atlantis provides a private beach with complimentary sun beds and umbrellas.

Well managed and plenty of support if required. 2x soft play areas which are extra charge if you’ve purchased water part tickets. On site restaurant and bar area. Everything you need is provided. Free lockers provided. Wave Pool Also
Naeem M — Google review
It's okay, but you can't really call it a waterpark. It is more of a splash park. Slides are okay, but once again, not what you would expect when it is sold to you as a water park/aqua park. It will feel like better value for money if one were to come with kids or teenage kids; otherwise, you will be in and out in a maximum of two hours. They have a soft play area on site. Not had any issues with staff personally but I do agree with other comments about them being glued to the phones. And, yes, I've seen them as well lit a cigarette and chill at the top of the slides.
Grzegorz B — Google review
I've visited many water parks across Spain, and while they tend to be massive, Marmaris Atlantis Water Park is smaller in comparison. That said, we had a fantastic time! The park was clean, with plenty of lifeguards ensuring safety. The food service was efficien and our order was delivered quickly. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d definitely come back!
Dean M — Google review
Small, but good fun for kids and a change from the hotel pool. Free shuttle bus picks you up and takes you back later. Your entry also includes access to the sunbeds on the beach in front of the water park, where you can come in and out as many times as you want. Drinks and food can also be had on the beach.
Paul C — Google review
Great fun, everything close by. Slides are great fun. Little slide for younger ones. Beach over the road. You can go in & out of the park
Neil B — Google review
Good water park with a view and its own beach with enough sun beds, you can come in and out more than once, there are enough water slides and a wave pool.
Masoud Z — Google review
We were sold this experience by the rip-off merchant, known as Murat, a holiday rep, who does nothing but rip-off guests. This excursion, for example is only 24TL and he sold it to us for 35TL each. I don't know why a minibus was required considering it was a few minutes walk from the Point Beach Hotel (a budget hotel masquerading as a 4* hotel). The staff were lovely at the water park. In particular the two lifeguards near the blue slide. All the slides are fantastic including the wave machine. There was very little waiting time and we had a great deal of fun. The only point of note was that the restaurant where we ordered our food would not serve us at the sunbeds. It was only the white water park users that got that service, we had to order our food in at the desk at then collect it from there when we were ordered to. We would not eat there again, we'd rather go elsewhere.
SY A — Google review
There seem to be a lot of poor reviews on Trip Advisor, but we had an excellent day at Atlantis Water Park. Unfortunately, we headed out too late to catch the free shuttle bus (between 9 & and 11.30am, I think from your hotel) but we grabbed a cab straight there which was only 200 Lira (a fiver). I pre-booked online as recommended. Cost is around £19 for an adult, and £10 for under 11's. You can spend the whole day there and with the wristband, come and go as you please. You also have access to a private section of the beach with loungers and brollies. The park itself is perfect for adults not looking for anything too crazy and kids. It might not have scary enough flumes for teenagers, although my 18yr old loved it. It was perfect for my 9yr old. We stayed the whole day and bought snacks and drinks from the attached bar. Some reviews say the park is run down, but we had no issue with it. It was clean, and that's the main thing. I'd recommend a visit!

Outdoor Activities
Marmaris Public Beach, located in the heart of Marmaris, offers a beautiful setting with views of lush green hills and the sea. The beach provides essential amenities such as toilets, showers, and changing cabins. While the sand is mostly dry clay and not fine white sand, visitors can still enjoy the serene atmosphere and watch giant cruise ships passing by. The beach also boasts excellent facilities including showers, changing areas, and toilets.
Lovely beach with warm water and plenty of sun beds. The water is more clear in the morning. You also can find plenty of companies with water sports like sky jets never pay the price they asking always negotiate. The water is not deep so is good for children. Also restaurants as one after one.

Came here mid November we were fortunate enough to have lovely weather for a couple days, the beach is clean and if you sit near one the the restaurants or bars they allow you to use the Sun Loungers and give you free WiFi providing you purchase a drink from them.

clean water, clean beach, you can have tours from there, lovely sun

The sand is brown ,it's kind of dry clay in most of the parts, don't expect white fine sand. The sea is brown as well, if you go to the deep part it can be a little bit more clear. If you want to go snorkeling ,that's isn't the beach ,go to Turunç, Turunç is amazing. Marmaris beach facilities are spectacular, showers everywhere, places to get changed and toilets. Amazing facilities.
Manu C — Google review
A sandy beach stretches on the part of the coast of Marmaris and belongs to the municipality, it is crowded most of the time in the morning and evening, there are public sanitary facilities and places for changing clothes, as well as places for bathing and washing the body after going to the sea. There is a nearby park that has children's games.
Isam A — Google review
Parked in the new carpark along the front, lots of space and walked the whole length of marmaris, there was a kite festival so they were everywhere. Wandered back along the pazar area which has lots of little shops, lovely afternoon

In the heart of Marmaris, Turkey, lies Youth Square, a vibrant plaza that replaced a dilapidated building. At the center of this square is the Dancing Fountain, featuring two basins that come to life with an automated light and music show at 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm during peak season. What appears as a serene fountain during the day transforms into a lively hub for music and entertainment at night.
Really loved the show. It started at 8.30pm when we were there mid November. It's located in a square by a lovely cafe all the locals seem to frequent. Definitely worth a visit.

Really great experience and good if you have kids but make sure they have a swim suit or trucks on and take a towel coz if they stand close to the fountain they will get wet , show starts 9pm nightly and is done to music worth the watch

Finally got to see the famous dancing fountains in Marmaris — they start at 9pm and are definitely a highlight of any visit here. 💦✨ The music, lights, and water displays are brilliant, and the atmosphere is buzzing with families and holidaymakers. Can’t believe it’s taken me five trips to actually see them, but worth the wait!

Not as breathtaking as Dubai fountain, obviously on the much smaller scale. Still, lovely spot. I recommend to visit after sunset. Nice to chill and relax. Lovely, calming atmosphere.

Marmaris Castle and Archeology Museum

Castles
Marmaris Castle and Archeology Museum is a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts. Situated on the site of the ancient Marmaris Castle, this 16th-century structure offers breathtaking views and houses a fascinating museum. The castle has a rich history, believed to have been initially built by the Ionians in 1044 BC and later expanded during Suleyman the Magnificent's reign in 1522.
We visited Marmaris Castle Museum on Sunday night and loved the new concept they’ve developed — The Night Museum. Since Marmaris can be extremely hot, visiting in the evening lets you explore comfortably, avoid the midday sun, and even enjoy the sunset from the castle walls. The museum features both open-air and indoor rooms, giving you a nice glimpse into the local history. It’s not a large museum, but it’s enough to understand the area’s ancient background. Our main reason for visiting was to see the newly discovered statue “Leyla” — a magnificent piece recently found by a local fisherman. The only downside was, unfortunately, the other visitors. Many seemed obsessed with taking photos from the castle walls, making it hard to find a quiet spot to simply enjoy the view. The walls had clear warnings not to sit or climb on them, yet many tourists ignored this for the sake of a photo. Please be respectful of the site and its history.

In Marmaris for a day trip and stopped by to visit the old castle in old town of Marmaris. It is a good mix between info and adventure. Beautiful view of Marmaris and the harbour! Takes maybe 40-60min for a visit. Make sure to also stop at the near by panorama bars.
Maik E — Google review
Wonderful Castle at the top of Marmaris old town. Well maintained and worth €6 entry. Great explanations attached to each exhibit including QR codes to take you to more detailed information. Amazing views across Marmaris and the bay, but cover up, there’s little shade. Wandering up the little streets to the castle was a lovely relief from the bazaar and energetic shop keepers. Take your time, get an iced coffee on the way up, don’t miss out on a hidden gem.
Adie A — Google review
Marmaris Castle offers a captivating glimpse into the region's rich history. While relatively small, the museum inside is well-curated, showcasing artifacts that bring the past to life. The real draw, however, is the panoramic view from the ramparts. Overlooking Marmaris Harbor, the bustling marina, and the surrounding coastline, it's a photographer's dream. The climb can be a bit steep, but the vistas are well worth the effort. A must-see for history buffs and anyone seeking stunning views. Don't forget your camera! The castle provides some excellent photo opportunities and overall a good experience with nice views and history.
Gannborisel — Google review
Nice small castle, well looked after and has good views over the harbour. Honestly found the surrounding area (old town) more beautiful.
MrJsquires86 — Google review
Beautiful castle. Lovely display of archeological finds. Great views from the top as well. We had a lovely time. Staff are really friendly. €6 to get in for an adult. There is somewhere to store prams at the entrance. We carried our son around, but he is only 7 months. A fair few stairs in the castle. Please note there are stairs to get up to entrance. Not wheelchair friendly.
Lisa P — Google review
Beautiful views, very quick to navigate and it's a lovely collection to walk around, however a large tour arrived just in front of us who hadn't organised their tickets beforehand. Hottest day of our holiday and we ended up queuing for almost half an hour in direct sunlight. Definitely could have been managed much better by opening another sales booth or moving the group to the side until they'd got sorted and allowing smaller groups to pass through first!
Chyrelle M — Google review
Visited Marmaris Castle. The view from on top of the castle were absolutely amazing, you could see all the way across Marmaris and out to sea. It also gave great views of the harbour and the boats coming in and out. There was a 6 euro entry fee, but it was worth it. The castle its self isn't very big but has a lot of information about it's history, with some good artifacts to look at. It's isn't buggy friendly but the staff were really helpful and let us leave our buggy at the main office while we walked around. There are quite a lot of steps to gain access to the different parts of the castle which might be difficult for some people.

Setur Netsel Marmaris Marina is a stunning and popular attraction in Marmaris. The marina is surrounded by picturesque mountains, offering a beautiful setting for leisurely walks along the esplanade. Colorful boats with Turkish flags line the clear blue waters, creating a charming atmosphere. The walkways are adorned with flower beds, fountains, and sculptures, while an array of bars, restaurants, and shops provide ample entertainment options.
A really beautiful marina, lovely to walk around by day (very hot of course) or by night. Lots of flashy yachts to admire and lots of restaurants and bars - more of a family vibe though rather than drunks teens which is nice. Highly recommend an evening stroll and a meal under the sky. Don't forget to stroll up to the impressive castle if you have a chance too.

Lovely for a swim but lots of stones so u will need beach shoes. No sun beds or loungers. Just bring ur Towel and sit on sand. There is a little bit with a rail that has man made hard floor under sea to get into sea to avoid the stones

Very nice well designed place with whatever a sailor can need such as warm water, every time clean big spaced toilets with hair dryer. Good shopping area with many cafes restaurants and sailing shops, a very close super market just next to marine, close to heart of Marmaris just a few minutes walk you are in castle historic area and bar streets.
Elgin K — Google review
It used to be very nice and friendly, in the last two years prices have become unreasonable. Let me explain: first of all is very noisy at night (both from night clubs but also fron other boats partying) but the worst thing is the high speed powerboats entering or leaving the marina. So once in while unexpected waves come out of the blue caused by tenders. Additionally the behavior of certain staff + the refusal to speak English is funny when working in tourism! There is a rule in marketing called "willingness to pay", i don't mind the higher cost BUT downgrading the quality of your services is serious.
Spyros — Google review
The marina is impeccably clean and well run, the town has everything you cod need to refit your boat with. Most of the mariners speak good English and are very helpful and the technical support is also readily available. It is also a very safe and secure marina with someone attentively patroling on a tender through the night .

Akyaka Plajı offers a serene setting for a moonlit stroll, with the gentle sea breeze and soft sand creating a tranquil atmosphere. The beach is known for its popularity among kitesurfing enthusiasts, boasting numerous schools and ideal wind conditions from May to October-November. However, the high number of students can make it challenging for beginners. The shallow waters extending about 100-200 meters from the shore provide a safe environment for water activities.
Super loved it! If you're looking for nature scape this is the best place you can visit in turkey aside from Çanakkale which has its beauty but akyaka has its own beauty that you will love it for sure. Azmak Nehri Restaurantları, located in Akyaka, Mugla, Turkey, offers a unique dining experience by the Azmak River. The river itself is a natural wonder with crystal clear water and an abundance of fish and seaweed, resembling a natural aquarium. Visitors can take boat tours along the river at reasonable prices to marvel at its beauty. The area also features hotels like Elif Hanim Hotel & Spa Akyaka with Wi-Fi available throughout the property.
The water is very clean and clear so that you can see fishes through the very deep water. Boats are for 12 people and the short trip takes about half an hour. The prices of the trips varies from 11$ to 13 $ depending on routes.

The river and surrounding ambience is phenomenal. One should really need to hop on a boat and enjoy the slow ride with tremendous scenery. However, I suggest you pack your meal, even get your drinking water with you. The restaurants are below average, sometimes far from edible and truly undeservingly expensive.

Arapapıştı Kanyonu is a picturesque tourist attraction in Turkey that features boat tours on its snaking blue-green river, which is home to various birds such as herons and cormorants. Unfortunately, due to low water levels in 2021, visitors may not be able to see the king's stone temple. However, during springtime when the water is high there are boat tours available within the canyon.
My favorite place in Aydın. It's like in another dimension of silence.. This place has huge area. You can enjoy dam lake if you continue on the right side of the road. There are several restaurants there. You should eat fish there. The left side goes to canyon road. On the way back, you might forget which way you went !?!?!?!?! Anyway, mother nature will embrace you there.

The trip fee is 15 tl for students and 25 tl for aduts for 2018. Discount for groups is available. There some historical houses and king tomb's of Persian time on the side shore of the canyon. Deepness of water is very changeable due to watering the farm fields.

Kaunos Ancient City is a fascinating archaeological site located in Dalyan, Turkey. The city features various structures and impressive tombs carved into the mountainside. Visitors staying at the nearby hotel can enjoy stunning views of the Calbis River, Antique Kaunos City, and Lycian King Tombs. The town of Dalyan offers a charming atmosphere with riverside restaurants serving delicious fish dishes and small bars for enjoying Turkish coffee.
Spectacular site about 2 miles across the river from Dalyan. Entry is 3 Euro and the site itself is expansive and still being excavated, and new treasures are constantly being uncovered. Situated just on the Edge of The delta, with slack water in the lake Mosquitos could be a problem at times but not during my visit in September. You will see plenty of Turtles swimming around the lake too. Great Views from the Acropolis. Be careful not an Easy Hike.

Absolutely amazing ancient ruins. Quite a hike from one plateau to another but worth it. The boat across was 100TL for two people return. And the pancakes at the cafe on that side were amazing. Well worth a visit. If you go into the cemetery and walk straight on, then take a little turn right at the fence you can get a closer look at the rock tombs.
Dianne H — Google review
An amazing relic of the past. I'd like to give everyone a little information here. There is no need to get a boat trip to visit this place. Walk along the front in the direction of the sea. (Left). You will see a restaurant on the other side. There is a row boat service to take you to over. The cost is insignificant. You will see a single road on the other side. Simply walk along it for approximately 20 minutes and you will arrive at Caunos. You can not miss it. It's an easy walk for most people. You do have to get in and out of the boat, obviously but you will be helped. These are pictures of the crossing point.
James B — Google review
Well worth a visit to the extensive ruins. Took the car ferry as foot passengers from river by Hotel Portleva. Fare 20 lira each way (cash). Then 15 minutes easy walk on a road. Entry fee 140 lira each again cash only. Visited from 4pm on 1 October and only a very few people were there. The amphitheatre is being renovated but still accessible. The lower level by the river is river is accessible by an ancient paved path which is uneven in places -saw a few big lizards. It’s possible to cross the river by row boat from the town centre but this means a longer walk on the other side.

Kaunos is a must see if you’re in the area! So much amazing history to see and gorgeous views over the water! Remember to bring water as it’s HOT up there… they have opened a little cafe to grab a drink too.
Kylee K — Google review
Kaunos is an ancient city located in the province of Muğla, Turkey, near the modern town of Dalyan. Once a strategically important port city, it is now situated several kilometers inland due to the silting of its harbor over centuries. The city is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List and is known for its unique blend of Carian, Lycian, Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine influences. There is quite a lot of restoration work but it doesn't detract from what you see. There are bilingual signs outlining what each structure is and it's history. All in all, it's like the entertainment quarter for the ancient inhabitants of this area. Entry is 150 Turkish Lira payable at the top. The walk up is very dusty and hot. I recommend good walking shoes, a hat and water.
Jodie E — Google review
4th visit. This time I decided to walk to the highest point where the castellations are. It was a difficult ascent which took about 30 min's beyond the ampitheatre. Don't think I'd do that walk again but if you're up for a challenge go for it. The views are panoramic once at the top

Dalyan Strait, also known as Dalyan Canal, is a picturesque waterway in the Mugla province of Turkey. The 10 km long canal connects Koycegiz Lake to the sea and meanders through the Dalyan Delta. Visitors can stroll along a wooden promenade on the eastern bank, where the town of Dalyan comes alive with a lively atmosphere.
Dalyan canal, (Dalyan Strait) , is a stream that carries the waters of Köyceğiz Lake to the sea , located in the province of Muğla , and is the lake's conduit . Its length is 10 km. The waters coming out of the lake reach the sea by drawing meanders. Approximately the last 5 km of Dalyan flows within the Dalyan Delta. To the east of the Dalyan canal, the town of Dalyan in the Ortaca district is established. The area is within the borders of the Köyceğiz-Dalyan Special Environmental Protection Area , which was the first in Turkey in 1988.

Really nice, clean beach, the dolmus end is cheaper than the boat end. And the turtle hospital is in walking distance.

Very nice, spacious and clean sandy beach. Water is crystal clear and it's shallow for like 20 meters. The only downside was the parasols; they're rather small and don't have great coverage. However the beach is pretty cheap -100 TL for a couple of beds and a parasol - so it's definitely worth it.
Pariz — Google review
Great beach with cafe , toilets, changing etc. entrance is 200TL for the car and 350TL for 2 sunbeds .
Matthew B — Google review
This is our first trip to İztuzu Beach by car, and the journey is quite long. The breathtaking views on the drive to the beach make it worthwhile. The parking lot costs ₺200, and payment is required upon entry. They also provide changing rooms and restrooms. There is a restaurant and tanning area where you can pay ₺165 per person or ₺350 for two wooden sun loungers, or choose a free one on the sand. The beach was extremely crowded. The only thing you have to do when you go swimming in the sea, all you have to do is walk far enough until the water is deep enough. İztuzu Beach is absolutely stunning; unfortunately, we did not get to see any turtles, but we had an enjoyable time. I recommend it purely for the experience.
Inga — Google review
İztuzu Plajı is one of the most beautiful and unique beaches in Turkey. The sand is golden, the water is shallow and warm, and the scenery is amazing with mountains on one side and the river delta on the other. What makes it special is that it’s also a protected nesting area for Caretta Caretta turtles, so it feels like you’re visiting both a beach and a natural reserve. There are no big hotels or loud music, which keeps it peaceful. Best to bring your own snacks and water, and respect the turtle areas. Truly a natural paradise!

One of my favourite in Turkey. Perfectly clean, wise, and beautiful. Dalyan in general is a magic place for a vacation. You can get there by the boat, or by the bus service. It takes around 30 minutes, both ways are enjoyable though, views etc. A lot of empty space, if you walk a little far from the sun lounges. Sandy clean beach, warm clean sea, perfect
Шампан С — Google review
I liked this beach a lot. The fee is not that much (2€ per car, no matter how many people are inside it), there are public toilets and showers (with cold, salty water) and the beach is clean. The water doesn't get deep enough for swimming for more than 50meters which makes it ideally for kids. You can also visit the Turtle Hospital (which is located close to the entrance). There is also shadow under some pine trees, but if you arrive after 10am most probably you will find it already occupied. At times it gets very windy. The restaurant inside has reasonable prices.

Caunos Tombs of the Kings

The Caunos Tombs of the Kings offer stunning views from Dalyan and boat tours in the lagoon. To get a closer look, visitors can cross to the Candir side and take a short walk or use a tractor in summer. Despite arriving to find it closed, some travelers were allowed in by the gatekeeper, giving them exclusive access to explore the site. The tombs themselves are off-limits but can be admired from the boardwalk.
Here's a refined version of your sentence: It's impressive to see how, in ancient times, they honored their king by building these tombs. I enjoyed sitting next to them, reflecting on how people back then made the decision to construct such monuments and their purpose. It's a must-see place. Next time, I plan to spend more time exploring further.

Beautiful and fascinating area after a lovely walk from Dalyan, very peaceful. Full of history but also interesting wildlife and great views
Mark H — Google review
Great tombs to see and you can get amazing views from restaurants on the other side of the river and boat trips. Theres also some great local drink stands with refreshing drinks nearby which I highly recommend.

Every time we visit Dalyan we always hop along the river to visit Caunos/Kaunos to see for ourselves what secrets have been revealed again. If you go prepare for a walk of half an hour (max). It's a nice walk and people along the road sell fresh orange juice/honey/olives and pome granate for a fair price. Enjoy!

You can access the entrance either with ferry departing from Dalyan(if you dont have a car, you can walk 15minutes once you land on the other side) or riding via çandır road. No visitor, no park guy was there when we visited but actually this is a Museum Card zone. Incredibly beatiful, a must visit place

Beautiful place to visit and take pictures. Pictures taken from the canal as we went via an excursion we booked. Beautiful to see and how well it has preserved

Without a doubt, when Caunos is in question, most people and historians think about the Tombs of the Kings. These tombs belong to the real kinds of Caunos nation, and they are carved into a mountain. In their belief, the dead should be buried and the higher the location of the tomb of the buried, the closer the person could be to the gods. This is why, all these tombs are carved on the top of the mountains, which is almost impossible to climb today. You can enjoy the beautiful and breathtaking scenery of these Tombs of the Kings, which were carved during the 4th century BC. Keep in mind that you can find plenty of beautiful holiday villas to stay in the area by visiting our homepage right now!

If you're visiting Sarigerme I urge you to visit these guys and book some unforgettable excursions. Either pop into their shop in Sarigerme Town centre or message them directly via Facebook page, either way will be easy to book your amazing day out. We have just returned from a 10 day stay at Tui Blue and if it wasn't for this place organising three incredible days out our holiday would have been mediocre at best. The Eco Safari Jeep Excursion was definitely our favourite, trust me when I say you'll not be dissapointed on what's to offer on this day out. Thank you Basket Travel, you have given us memories that will last a life time 💙

We used Basket Travel after a friends recommendation to do the turtle beach / mud bath tour. Our tour guide Kareem (like Benzema) was brilliant, very funny, very knowledgeable and made the trip very enjoyable. He clearly loves what he does and got excited like a big kid when the Loggerhead Turtles appeared, everyone bought in to his excitement and he really made the day fun. The restaurant where we stopped for lunch was very good, food was really nice. The mud baths were great fun. Basket Travel were keenly priced, the coach was VERY comfortable with luxury seats, tinted windows and air con throughout. Would defo recommend them.

We are currently on our 5th trip to Turkey. This is our first trip to the Dalaman Region, so we were keen to experience some of the local beauty spots and soak up some history at the same time. We researched before booking and ended up booking the 12 Island Tour and Dalyan River Cruise with mud baths and Turtle Beach. Both tours were fantastic. Our guide for 12 Islands was Kylian (sorry if this isn’t correct - I just remember him saying he shared a similar name to Mbappe!). Our guide for Dalyan Tour was Dodo. Both guides were informative, friendly and helpful. I love history, so the time taken by both of them to provide history and information on spots visited. The boats were comfortable, with shade and sun. We loved both trips and would thoroughly recommend. We did travel with our 4 children (all 11 and under) so it was appreciated that these trips weren’t made to feel for adults or older children only. Special shout out to our boat driver for letting the kids “drive” the boat on the Dalyan River. We made some unforgettable memories and would highly recommend both tours. One thing I would say is don’t buy the “crab” to feed the turtles on the turtle trip. It’s £10 per box and there are signs at turtle beach telling you not to feed the turtles! Felt that was a bit of money making in the end. We also got left short with cash on the Dalyan trip as the restaurant told us they needed us to pay cash for our drinks only . It turns out we could have paid by card. Don’t like feeling we are being taken a loan of by people but these two things we were not happy with. Perhaps Basket can take these on board for future.

A Memorable Day Exploring the 12 Islands I recently embarked on the 12 Island Boat Trip with Basket Travel, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. Let me share the highlights: Kerim, Our Exceptional Host: Kerim, our tour guide, was a wealth of knowledge. His passion for the islands and local history made the trip even more fascinating. He shared intriguing facts and stories, enhancing our understanding of the beautiful surroundings. Ali, the Skilled Driver: Ali, our driver, ensured a smooth journey from start to finish. His expertise behind the wheel made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the trip. Kudos to Ali for navigating the winding roads with ease! Immaculate Coach with Basket Travel Branding: The coach provided by Basket Travel was spotless and well-maintained. The company’s branding was proudly displayed, assuring us of their commitment to quality service. Comfortable seating and air conditioning added to the overall experience. The Boat Adventure: The boat itself was part of the Basket Travel group, and it didn’t disappoint. We explored crystal-clear waters, stopping at picturesque bays for swimming. Snorkeling gear was available, allowing us to discover the underwater beauty. Jumping off the boat into the sea was exhilarating! Convenient Payment System: Basket Travel’s approach to paying for extras was brilliant. They provided a charge card tab, allowing us to enjoy snacks and drinks without worrying about cash. Settling the tab at the end of the trip—whether in cash or by card—was hassle-free. In summary, Basket Travel exceeded expectations. Their attention to detail, friendly staff, and commitment to customer satisfaction made this day trip truly special. I highly recommend the 12 Island Boat Trip—it’s a must-do when in the area! 🌊🚢

Very affordable especially if you pre-book before holiday. They have got extremely friendly, knowledgeable and comedic tour guides. Definetely the best people to go with if you want to experience Turkey outside the walls of the hotel. Done all the trips they offer with family including a younger sibling who enjoyed them too. I can't fault the service at all.

Sarıgerme Beach is a public beach managed by Ortaca Council, offering affordable amenities such as parasols, sunbeds, changing cabins, showers, and a budget-friendly restaurant. The spacious beach provides ample seating and parking along with additional facilities like toilets, swings, and nearby river for fishing. Families frequent the area due to its cleanliness and lifeguard services. While some visitors find the food quality lacking, others appreciate the serene atmosphere and transition from the Aegean to Mediterranean Sea.
The best public beach ever ! Better than expensive beach clubs. The Ortaca Council run beach costs 30 lira for one parasol two sunbeds with cushion. 4 changing cabins, 4 showers and a super cheap restaurant serving 15 lira chicken doner , 17 lira beef doner , 15 lira French fries , 18 lira kofte and 10 lira fresh pomegranate juice

Amazing beach, very soft sand. Entrance to the beach is so easy, water is shallow, you don’t need any slippers as the sand is so so soft! It’s a bit windy hence lots of waves You need to pay 20 liras to enter this beach on foot and more if you come by car. However, I take 1 star off because there is no place to eat. 1 cafe only sells drinks, burgers and guzleme. I really wanted to each Turkish breakfast and had to walk back to the town centre to eat because there is no choice on this beach. People come with their own food and can sit in the shade, there are plenty of tables and chairs so please do bring your own food. Drinks you can buy at the cafe. I went to this beach as I had 9 hours connection flight and it took about 20 mins by taxi from the airport and 700liras (not cheap, but you won’t find any other alternative vehicle to get to the beach)

Visitors can take advantage of the beautiful river and surrounding area, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely stay. Stunning scenery and tranquil restaurant location . Food was ok but prices are quite touristy as expected . There are tables where you can sit with your feet in the water which is a unique experience. There is a swing that you can use to jump in the water and have a swim. Great day out

A Hidden Gem on the River. If you’re looking for an unforgettable Turkish dining experience, this riverside restaurant is a true standout. The setting is beautiful, with a relaxed atmosphere and stunning views over the water — perfect for a lunch or a dinner. The food is delicious. Lamb kebab was top.

Worth the long village road! Simply stunning in the middle of nature! The river passes through the place and adds an incredibly beautiful atmosphere. The food was very delicious, too. We had Sac Tava, French Fries and fried veggies topped with yoghurt. All the ingredients were so fresh and organic. Prices are very reasonable. We spent 600TL for two. There’s a free parking lot. The personnel is pretty friendly and professional. Overall score 4.4/5 for an Authentic Restaurant

Impressive! From the atmosphere, food quality to the welcoming, everything was tip-top. We had a mixed meze plate which came with grilled bread and for the mains, the lamb was absolutely ridiculously tasty. Oh, and cheap as chips also. Many thanks to Muammer, aka Mami, the taxi driver who took us there from Labranda Mares Hotel. Definitely recommend 👌

Simply amazing. One of my favorite bays in Göcek. I absolutely recommend this bay for anchoring. You can spend quite and peaceful time in here

The beach was fine but the views on the road to get there almost earned it 5 stars. There is water sports and people available to take you out on a boat. The road to get there isn't for a novice driver but as long as you go slow you'll get there, it was my first time driving left hand drive and I had a blast heading down it.

The sea and beach are beautiful. In windy weather, waste can come with the current. Food and beverage prices are reasonable. 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella 300 TL, vehicle entrance 100 TL

A very pretty little bay with a few sailing ships and fishing boats. The sand is dark volcanic which is a surprise. There are a few walks from the bay around the coast and into the forest for views over towards Gocek. There are a lot of people camping or with camper vans by the beach edge. The toilets and cafe are closed because of the dispute between the local council and others. But there was very little litter when I visited in mid September. A quiet place to hide away and chill out
Rog E — Google review
One of the very few beaches in Turkey that remains public.l ve seen this place during peak Summer season, during religious festival(if u don't like meat dont go there that time) and now off season. During the summer it gets super packed with locals that bring large cooking grills, çay kettles, food, drinks. Large carpets sun umbrellas, chairs, beach toys clutter beach. Bikinis are ok but you will be minority here. Public showers even with signs not to use shampoo are used like outdoor Turkish bath, suds run directly to the sea. Public WC ok. Next big problem is trash around them. No matter how many trash bins are provided rubbish ends up everywhere, sadly in sea. People are horrible creatures, turkish ppl need big time help to understand importance to care about our environment! Near by camping site is the worst. Its seems nobody cares about trash . Especially plastic bottles and cigarette buts covering beach after weekend, beer bottles by dozens. Parking is free but boy do people abuse it. Besides... This beach is absolute gem of nature, home to endangered sea turtles(seen them few times). Nice snorkeling.
Ludkahuska — Google review
Nice beach with warm water, mild waves, and sun loungers. The loungers are overpriced and it seems much more favourable to sit on your own towels or chairs. The beach has very course sand and pebbles.

Katrancı Bay Nature Park is a recreational area that boasts a family-friendly bay beach for swimming, along with picnic tables and nature trails. It offers an opportunity to immerse oneself in the beauty of nature, with short treks and camping options available. The park is well-developed and clean, making it an ideal destination for those looking to enjoy the great outdoors without sacrificing comfort or amenities. Visitors can also appreciate the tranquility of the park due to its relatively low foot traffic during weekdays.
Such an amazing place. The hikes around the camping site are breathtaking.

Parking is expensive if you have a camper van. They charged us 540tl just to park not camp. They basically charged us the same price as a mini bus. Nice quiet area, there are several toilets and loads of picnic tables. Also some cabanas at the beach but no cushions on but it was out of season. There is a cafe but we didn't try it
Sue C — Google review
We really enjoyed spending the morning at this nature park- a short 15 minute drive from Fethiya. After paying 150 lira to enter, we hiked around the beautiful bay with its trees and turquoise water. We set up a towel on one of the two beaches and headed into the water. With its sandy bottom and salty water that allowed us to float, it was wonderful! Above the beach there were also changing rooms.
Everyday K — Google review
Had a lovely little visit to this gorgeous sandy beach, had a drink at the restaurant too! Entrance was 70tl, sun loungers and brollies 150tl for 2 beds, shower facilities and toilets. There is also camping which looked rustic in a lovely setting. We will be back!
Maxine K — Google review
Sea is just fine and just sand. There are no sharp rocks. Toilets and showers are fine. Entrance for natural park is 180TL per car. If you would like to use sunbed and parasol it is 800TL per 2 people. There is a market in 1st bay. In overall, recommended.
Anil — Google review
Our favourite beach in Fethiye! This beach was beautiful, sandy, quiet and reasonably priced sun loungers, with a beautiful view. I think sun loungers were 800 lira for two. The water was calm and easy to enter, it gets deep slowly so good for people that aren’t confident swimmers. We stayed all day and had a nice breakfast aswell.
Yasmin B — Google review
Nice and sand beach, but it is a little crowded. Car park area is a little congested. Prices are fair though, 21₺ for car, 10₺ for each umbrella and sunbed. Not that good to spend all day and not much to do. Whole area is a little cramped.

Every tourists that reads this: dont go to this overrated bleach. Because, its dirty , its super expensive for 2 l dirty chairs( 800 lira btw for 2 dirty chairs) and the water isn’t even blue. Also, if you want to go cheaper, YOU WON’t BECAUSE THESE GUYS ARE LAZY AND DON’T CARE, even if you’re not a tourist: they don’t care🤩🤩. So don’t go to this dirty beach and avoid it AT ALL COST.

Four of us went up to this park on Saturday 23/09/23 , we went on two scooters and were charged 80tl for parking. We were terrified crossing the pallet wood rope bridge , which is very shoddily constructed. The whole place looks filthy . Restaurant is just asking for food poisoning in my opinion. Sanitary is very bad . If I could give negative stars - 2 . Do not waste your time on this place .

I live in the Netherlands, and traveling for 3.400 km with my family in our car was to look for the best unique unforgettable places. The location here is fantastic, a great getaway deep in the valley with fresh water surfaces to walk through safely, but the people who are running the place are a bit far from professional work, asking very high prices for mediocre dishes, and trying to make it feel like westen style but so far from any western or eastern! this place lost it’s identity for a lost staff
Night S — Google review
Beautiful nature resort but it’s not taken care of. You can spend the whole day here away from the heat of the beaches with the breeze from the mountains and the river. There are many farm animals hanging around which are great accompany for your children.
Oytun — Google review
A lovely place to go wading, swimming, and camping. They have a small take-out place and prices are not too high. Lots of trees and covered rafts with tables and chairs. They're tied up so you don't float away.

Fantastic place with wonderful nature. This is one of the uniqueu camping sites that I ever seen. Although the nature is awesome, the facility is not clean and you can see garbage everywhere. I talked to one of the employees but he complained about people instead of showing any signal for improvement. Please do ask/push managers to keep the nature clean.

The place is good! But the service is extremely bad! They aren’t professional at all! You can’t sleep if you haven’t rented a tenant even if you have rented a full seats for 5 ppl!
