At prak season anyone can experience a fully snow covered area of the total locality along with roads as well. This is also known as Rohtang pass ( The Rohtang La).
It is around 51 kms away from Manali city.
But the area is kept closed for viaitor upto mid June due to heavy low temperature and ice blocking of the roads.
Best time to enjoy this is end of June to july.
The snow is melting .. around 90 % of the snow has been melted . also very hateful to see plastic coke bottles and Maggie chips rappers in snow. Tourists visiting this pass should be responsible and eco-friendly too….but we enjoyed lot so if you want toseet he bety goo in this month otherwise in the August will good because in December to may the rohtang pass closed

A good place yo see the beauty if Manali valley from top. Just 1km ahead of gulaba is check post point where only people who have permit can go to Rohtang pass. But you don't need any permit to visit gulaba

Very nice place, very beautiful snowy place
Nice place to visit. It is 2 Km walkable in slope from parking place. We can touch, play , walk on snow. water stream in river is very clear and cooler. very calm place. surrounded with green hills and trees. we also reach there by rented horses (about Rs.200 to 300 for one trip) but walking in the valley is good and enjoyable. Need good sweater.
Solang valley is very beautiful. I would love to visit there again and again. Its natural beauty refreshes one's mind and keeps away from negativity. Everything was fantastic as I visited there with my family and every single moment we enjoyed alot.
The only thing that annoyed us was while doing skiing ⛷🎿 the skiing masters or guides pull u from back and doesn't allow u to do. They charge high just for 5mins. That particular area gets crowded and u can't do freely. Though the Experience was very nice. Never fall in the trap of all those vendors selling Kesar as all these are fake.

Solang Valley is located just nearby Manali City. This valley has very scenic view of the mountains. It is covered in snow during winters. There are many fun tourists and sports activities available here throughout the year. Winter sports likely skiing, snowboarding etc are available here. Other activities the are also available are paragliding, zip lining etc. This is a fun family vacation spot.
For people looking to experience snow for the first time, solang is a good place to be.... how ever the place is way too crowded, but you will learn a lot about for the future explore of the snowey places. Was fun to be here, a lot of activities to choose from... The snow shoes they make you wear are no good and are slippery, so be careful. Make sure you insulate them with good warm socks. All in all it was a great experience.

This hot water kund is located at mani Karan ..it is open kund for gents and for ladies closed bath rooms are for bathing and dress changing. The hot water is attached to these bath rooms. Really it is a mystery for everyone
This is a place you shouldn't miss when visiting Manali. This is a religious place along with a hot water spring bath that has separate bathing facilities for men and women. We can do puja here as well and the architecture of the temple looks very nice. However, I need to mention that the place is unclean and no toilets are present nearby. The toilets are far away and dirty, also a place for bathing is not very isolated.
People are using soaps in hot water it not holy water now its dirty🥴 don't go there

Holy place to have bath in the Kund. For ladies separate Kund available for bath, according to Hindu religion everyone shud take bath, who can reach over here. In this place Maharishi vashisht temple is situated. The road is too narrow for crossing two cars. Paid parking available here. Lot of shops available for food and shopping. Wooden Name plates you can buy on very cheap rates.
Very small place... men bath is there , but women can see only the outside water taps with hot water, the place crowded with local women washing their clothes inspite of a board saying "washing of clothes not allowed"..
This place in manali in no less than a spa.... ... its a beautiful place with hot water...that can relax you form all your burdens....however tired you are....go there and take bath...but prevent your hair from sulfur....and also dizzyness...

Hadimba temple is very beautiful temple surrounded by pine trees. My advice will be to vist in early morning to get quite environment and good pictures.
The outside of building has beautiful wooden carvings.
There also many local shopes in the surrounding area.
Very popular destination of manali. Temple is small as compared to surrounding area. Situated bit uphill to manali main matket. Go gor it to witness huge pine trees around it and small quite vanvihar garden near to it. Entry is free.

Nice place well maintained. The circuit around the pine tree is 1.5km and there are places to sit , you can rent a cycle also. While entering there is a fee arnd 20/30 rupees.. then there are photography guys, they charge 30rs per pic minimum 10 and also you need to rent dress for 100 rs.. coming back to pine tree trail , you can feel the pine smell all along while walking. Good 45-1hr u can spend here. There are childrens small park too

Located in the heart of the mall road, Van Vihar is a municipality run public garden. It is famous far and wide for its Deodar trees and a manmade lake, built right in the middle of the forest.
Overall this place is just ok. There is a provision for boating in a very small pool. There are not much animals available to see here.
I have heard from the locals that couple of years back there was a river flowing from this place, but later separated by the government to build some Road. Dipawali finished the real charm of this place.
However one time visit is more than enough.
In May 2024, I had the opportunity to visit Van Vihar National Park during my Manali tour. This park is located right in the heart of the town, yet it feels like a peaceful green world of its own. As I entered, I was welcomed by tall deodar and pine trees that formed a natural canopy, giving cool shade even during the summer sun.
The walking paths were soft with fallen leaves, and I could hear birds chirping from all directions. It was a real treat for nature lovers like me. I spent time observing the calm and beauty of the forest. I saw Himalayan magpies, bulbuls, and sparrows flying between trees, and heard their pleasant calls. I also noticed small creatures like squirrels jumping from branch to branch, and some monkeys near the lake area.
One of the most peaceful spots was the small man-made lake inside the park. The still water reflected the surrounding trees, and I sat quietly on a bench, just enjoying the silence and cool breeze. Boating is also available there, and many tourists were enjoying it with families.
The overall experience was very relaxing and close to nature. I felt completely refreshed and connected to the peaceful environment. Van Vihar is a must-visit spot in Manali for anyone who enjoys calm surroundings, greenery, and a little wildlife experience right in the middle of town.

I entered via gate number 1. Entry ticket is 50 INR for adults and 20 INR for children.
Timings are 9 AM to 8 PM (Summers), 9 AM to 5 PM (Winters)
I had got clicked at just 100 INR for 4 pictures and pictures were amazing. Do give the photographers a chance to click you, it is up to you to take it but their livelihood depends on it.
There is a boating area also downstairs, children park and few places to seat and chill.

If you get hungry, don’t worry. There’s a small eating area inside where you can enjoy tasty Maggi, momos, sandwiches, burgers, and more. Perfect for a quick bite while enjoying the scenic vibes.

A great place to unwind after shopping on Mall Road. The park has a nice play area with a trampoline for kids, and boating is also available for a fun, relaxing experience.
We visited in May and enjoyed the cool, refreshing atmosphere—even during the summer heat. Entry is reasonably priced at ₹50 for adults and ₹20 for children under 8 years.
Overall, a peaceful spot perfect for families and nature lovers.
It was our first experience in the hot air balloon it was quite thrilling but it could have been more interesting if the balloon were free to fly but bcoz of the weather and terrain conditions the balloons are tied to the ground .

The 12 km trek is moderately challenging, with a mix of flat paths and steep ascents, taking about 4–6 hours depending on pace and weather.
What makes Kheerganga special isn’t just the destination, but the journey itself. The trail is alive with birdsong, fresh mountain air, and the distant murmur of the Parvati River. On reaching the top, you’re greeted with wide open meadows surrounded by snow-capped peaks and the famed natural hot water spring — a surreal experience at 9,700 feet. We trekked up Kheerganga Mountain recently in two days: 1/4 to 2/4/25. It was a college trip of 50 plus students, the trek is in easy to moderate category. We stayed at camping site at Rudarnaag, almost mid point of trek. As for the trek camps, the food quality was good, students enjoyed bonfire with music and dance, the tents were spacious and clean. The service was very good and prompt that helped managing such a big group, hot water was available in evening and morning, they kept our extra luggage so that we could trek conformably.
As for the trek it is amazing, scenic beauty at its best, with so many water falls on the way. The view at the top was indescribably amazing.

Good staying experience at Rudarnaag camping site. The tents and blankets were very clean, the food quality was also good, everyone was very cooperative.
The camping and trekking experience was great. Mr. Om Prakash was very prompt, in terms of providing the guide and also the porter services. He went one step beyond by offering help with storing the additional luggage in a cafe. Overall, very good experience, and would definitely recommend to friends and family. 🙂
I recently went on the Kheerganga trek and it was absolutely amazing! The weather was perfect and the scenery was breathtaking. The entire trek was well-planned and well-organized, making it a truly enjoyable experience.
The trek itself was challenging, but also incredibly rewarding. The trail was well-marked and the views along the way were absolutely stunning. We passed through lush forests, crossed crystal-clear streams, and saw countless waterfalls along the way.
The highlight of the trek, of course, was reaching the top of Kheerganga. The view from the top was simply breathtaking, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. We also got to take a dip in the natural hot springs, which was a truly unforgettable experience.
Throughout the trek, our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. They were always there to offer advice and encouragement, and made sure that we were safe and comfortable at all times.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Kheerganga trek to anyone who loves the outdoors and enjoys a good challenge. The scenery is stunning, the trek is well-organized, and the experience is truly unforgettable.
We trekked up Kheerganga Mountain, and the view at the top was indescribably amazing. As for the trek camps, there's WiFi, good food, a bonfire, and spacious tents that comfortably fit 2-3 people. You can also enjoy a hot spring bath at the top, which used to be like a swimming pool but is now just a hot shower.

This was my first experience with a hot spring and I was pleasantly surprised. It covered a bigger area than what I expected and the water was optimally hot for a bath. One thing about this spring is that the place seems to be neglected and the lighting is downright poor. I would suggest paying a visit to this place during the morning or the afternoon as you will not have to deal with the darkness. Totally worth checking out as there isn't a lot of hot springs in India.

If you live medieval vibes, this place can be in your list. Perfectly offers the medieval vibes. The castle is made of wood and now has been turned into hotel if you want luxury. The castle has an amazing view of the valley. But on weekends it might get crowded and noisy.

Located just a short drive from Manali, it’s a perfect blend of history, architecture, and breathtaking mountain views. The 15th-century wooden structure has been beautifully preserved and offers a peaceful atmosphere away from the crowds.
You can walk around the castle, explore the museum inside, and enjoy a cup of chai while soaking in the stunning valley views from the balcony. The place has an old-world charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.
I stayed nearby at @thelandsbynaggar, which made visiting the castle super convenient — highly recommended if you want a quiet and scenic getaway.

Very beautiful palace. They say on a good day you can see kullu and manali. However when I want it was under restoration, so most of rooms were shut. But they let me walked around. The parking is a little away, and it is at a price. The palace holds a very old temple as well. Ahead of the palace is a russian art museum which is a must go. Further, lot of cafe are also there incase you want to try some bakery items. If you are in manali, then this can be kept for a half day visit on your way back or during your rest days.

I recently visited Naggar Castle, a historic site in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh. While the structure itself carries architectural beauty and old-world charm, the overall experience was disappointing.
There is a serious lack of historical insight offered to visitors—just one information board at the entrance, with no detailed descriptions or curated displays inside. For an entry fee of ₹50 per person, one would reasonably expect more value in terms of context and storytelling.
It’s unfortunate that Himachal Pradesh Tourism seems to be treating the site more as a resort and restaurant venue rather than preserving and presenting it as a cultural landmark. The history of the castle deserves to be highlighted, with proper restoration and interpretation to truly make it a meaningful tourist attraction.
This place has potential—it just needs attention and respect towards its historical significance.
Must see! The architecture is very cool and the view is amazing. It was actually closed on the morning that I went, but the men at the reception were extremely kind and let me walk around without buying a ticket.
Unfortunately for me, the castle was closed for renovation. I could only see some parts of its exterior. In any case, there is hardly any maintenance. I feel it should be taken over by the ASI. Also, private building much bigger and grander than the palace near its vicinity must not be allowed. There is too much of unregulated commercialization around it. There is hardly any parking space.
The castle was officially closed for renovation but people were still allowed to go inside and click pictures. It was very quiet and photogenic places with lot of good frames to get pictures clicked.

Waterfall starts when one starts moving uphill from naggar. Water trail can be seen at many places, but this is the best of them. It is located 15 mins from Jana village - 15 mins when you ride continuously. In season, one should park vehicle before and walk to the waterfall for lot of tourists may cause jam. The road from Naggar is good only in patches, and its not a very wide road. By the time one reaches waterfall, there is no sign of pucca road. - i guess the work is currently in progress.

I went in June mid, there wasn’t much water flowing in the water fall. The road with pine trees is amazing. Waterfall itself wasn’t that good but the journey was great.
The road is problematic towards the end so take care.
Peaceful Spot but Not Worth the Tough & Far Journey
Jana Waterfall, nestled in the quiet village of Jana Gaon near Kullu, offers a serene and refreshing setting. The simplicity and natural beauty of the place are quite pleasing, especially if you're already in the area.
However, the journey from Manali is long and the road conditions are quite poor. Considering the size and scale of the waterfall, it may not justify the effort and time it takes to get there unless you're combining the visit with nearby attractions or are keen to explore remote village life.
A good stop for those seeking peace and a rustic Himachali lunch nearby, but manage your expectations if you're heading out solely for the waterfall.

The temple is about 4 km uphill trek from the car parking. It is a moderately tough trekk. The route is well laid with stairs and has a good cover of forest trees. Temple is very beautiful, and the scenery around the temple, especially behind the temple, is something that should not be missed at all. The temple was not very crowded when we visited.
The journey itself is beautiful, winding through small villages and forests. The final climb is a bit steep, but the reward at the top is absolutely priceless.
The most magical time to visit is during the monsoon or just a day after it has rained. We went after a rainfall, and the sky was crystal clear. The view of Bhuntar town and the Parvati River valley below was incredibly sharp and breathtaking. It felt like we were on top of the world!
Another great thing is the road connectivity. The road leading to the trek's starting point is well-connected to the main NH3 highway, making it very easy to reach by car or taxi. We also noticed many charming homestays in the surrounding villages, offering a comfortable and authentic stay for trekkers.
This place is perfect for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful yet adventurous getaway. Highly recommended for a unique experience

Must visit Lord shiva temple if you are in or around Kullu-Manali.
It is believed that lightning (bijli) strikes the lingam and then it is restored using local butter making it unique and powerful.
To reach here, you have 3 routes -
1. Main one via Kullu & Chansari - I took this one on my scooter which includes 21 kms ride from Kullu till the trekking point near Gobha village. Bus drops you near Dharth village. Trekking is around 1.5-2 kms which took me an hour.
2. Via Jana - it is risky and steep but I heard that you can directly reach the top on your vehicle. Was inaccessible at my time.
3. Via Kasol side - Long & dangerous. Locals suggested not to go from that. Google map shows that one only.
All the three sides - Kullu, Bhuntar and Kasol are visible from the top.
I didn’t find any stay facilities there but you have food and washrooms.
Weather was very unpredictable so I rushed back asap. Locals are very helpful and kind.
P.S - The ropeway work is ongoing and locals are protesting against it citing the deforestation and environmental damage.

This temple is one of a kind. The moment I entered the temple, it felt like entering a fort, as you see lush green lawn ahead of you. (I have never seen such a sight in any other temple.) I really liked the fact that the govt. has preserved the original theme.

The atmosphere of the temple is really good. It's very old temple and build quality is extraordinary. The carvings on the walls are extraordinary. You should attend aarti in evening. I have attended that twice. There was a group young devotees singing bhajans once and they really made our experience to next level. There is a place where children can play and we can click pics of natural beauty.

It was a one-of-a-kind experience, especially in the snow. We trekked alone through the snowy landscape and even witnessed live snowfall. The next morning, the view was absolutely breathtaking. However, it was so cold that taking photos was a real challenge.
It is a peaceful and beautiful spot surrounded by nature. It holds religious importance as it is linked to Sage Rishi Parashar..so visitors are requested to avoid smoking, drinking or loud music. The weather is refreshing and the views are stunning. Please help keep the area clean and respect its calm and spiritual environment.

Wonderful Archiological monument at Banjar. 2.5 KM Uphill walking. Better take 4 wheel drive vehicle. Don't try to take own vehicles as no proper road and it muddy if raining. Beware of mosquitoes. Different type of mosquitoes and it itches for 15 20 days so wear well covered dress and apply Odomas.
One of the toughest treks for us, but halfway in the road we got one local person to reach the Chehni Kothi. Kothi will be closed and no permit to people. But behind the khoti we can visit the Krishna temple which is almost 1000 years old and also the village is fabulous.
Walk/trek from rishi temple is quite long. Will take atleast an hour to reach the village/location. Google maps will not help. No food option available there.

Good place to visit on top of the mountain.
The road to the top is muddy. We went there in a car however I would recommend that one should do a trek from Shringa Rishi temple and not take the car uphill as it will be a challenge to drive the car uphill and then back down on the unpaved muddy road. If it rains then Car can’t go uphill for sure.
The roads are very very dangerous and scary. Only four wheel drive can go there. Or you can go by trek rishisringa temple after that chene kothi. In the tower there is a temple mata bhagabati. When we go there the puja starts and the locals are getting there on the wooden stairs, which is so scary and stiff. And also broke some stair.
"I hiked to reach this place all the way from Shri Shringa Rishi Temple. Since the road to Chehni Kothi isn't great, I'd definitely say to avoid visiting if it rains."

Jalori Pass, also known as Jalori Jot, is a stunning mountain pass located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, India. The trek to the top (of the viewpoint) is not extremely difficult and quite attainable — even if you have aged folks in your group. You can seek help from the guides outside the main gate if you want any support material like walking sticks or gumboots/snow boots. These are available on rent.

I visited Jalori Pass during my solo trip in June 2024 and even without snow the place felt magical. The moment you start heading up from Jibhi the scenery begins to change. The road is around 12 km but it’s very steep and narrow and if a vehicle comes from the opposite direction there can be huge traffic especially around the curves. So if you’re driving yourself or even taking a cab just be prepared for that.
You can get a shared cab from Jibhi to the starting point or if you have time you can wait for the local bus which comes every one or two hours. Once you reach the top you will find a small temple and a few stalls selling tea Maggi and snacks. I took a short break there before starting the 360 viewpoint trek.
The trek itself is about 45 minutes to an hour depending on your speed. It’s slightly steep in places but very doable and the trail goes through pine trees and greenery all around. The higher you go the more peaceful it gets.
And the view from the 360 viewpoint is simply stunning. You can see the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar mountain ranges surrounding you in every direction. It feels like the sky opens up and the mountains just keep rolling one after the other. I sat there for a long time just soaking in the view breathing in the cold fresh air and enjoying the silence. It was one of the most calming moments of my trip.
This is the kind of place that doesn’t need too many words or activities. Just reaching there sitting quietly and looking at the mountains is enough to make you feel peaceful.

The lake is situated at an altitude of 10,170 ft. To access the lake, you've to trek for 5 km. The
trek starts from Jalori Pass, the highest altitude point that connects Kullu valley and Shimla Valley.
The lake is guarded by thick tall pine trees on all sides. Next to the lake is Budhi Nagin temple. Serolsar Lake is surrounded by a narrow
track and a fence around it. The Serolsar Lake wears stunning colours during different times of the year. The lake looks white during winter, half snow-covered and half green during spring and
summer, and lush green during monsoon and post-monsoon. This is something worth observing if you have the oppurtuinty to trek multiple times to this lake. Apart from the scenic beauty, the Serolsar lake has religious significance as well. Ilt is a pilgrimage place for the locals. Locals from the surrounding villages come here every saturday to do the parikrama. They mostly offer ghee and oil to the local diety. It is believed the goddess is submerged in the lake and protects the entire region. Serolsar Lake trek is a paradise for someone who loves forest trails. The entire trail is through the dense pine and deodar forests. You
also encounter clearings after every hour of the trek which makes them nice resting spots for trekkers to rejoice. From the 360-degree
Viewpoint, you get great views of Pir Panjal and the Great Himalayan range. Serolsar Lake trek is an easy trek. It can be done by both fit beginners and experienced trekkers. It's a series of gradual ascents and descents until you reach the lake. The only steep ascent you encounter on this trail is the one that takes you to the 360-degree Viewpoint.

Start from SoJa . Went during February end and it's the last snow of that season.
The whole trek was covered with snow .. 2 feet deep.
And it's just heavenly.
- wear snow boots as u can get cold feet and take a good amount of food and water if you are starting this Trek.
- at the top around 12 km away is the mountain 360 degree view and a beautiful temple is located.
- there all the camps and food stalls are available but during heavy snow , all get covered and shut down.
- from the temple there is a trek of 3 km to the fort - for having a fort view.
- also 2 km away from this point going above is the place where 🎥 " yeh Jawani hai devani" movie shoot was held.. it's just snow covered trek and you can see all way the white 🤍🤍🤍 color..
- the trek is just freaking awesome and you will have wonderful picture points and views during the journey.

In snow ❄️, Jalori pass looks absolutely stunning, beautiful, awesome, I won’t have words to describe this place beauty, all the around if you will se their would be snow covered mountains 🏔️ with surrounding trees make this place looks more eye catching and beautiful. The people here around are so nice and friendly. I visited this place on march 21, 2025. At that time it was all around snow and make sure you take up warm clothes when you visit here, because in the evening the temperature plunges very down, and chilled air make you feel more colder and coldest so caps, mufflers, gloves along with very warm jackets make you feel warmer over here.

Shikari Mata Temple is a peaceful and scenic place located at about 3,332 meters in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. It can be reached by road with mesmerising views of entire janjheli & shikari valley .
From the parking area, you need to do a short uphill hike of about 10–15 minutes to reach the temple.
The place is surrounded by green meadows, forests and amazing mountain views. It’s not just a spiritual spot but also great for nature lovers. A perfect mix of beauty, calmness and a bit of adventure. Highly recommend!
Shikari Mata Temple sits atop on peak -about 3,359 m above sea level. High altitude: steep climb, over 500–600 stone steps. It’s a roofless temple dedicated to the goddess of hunters, Shikari Devi. It is said to be built by the Pandavas during their exile, the temple’s mythology stretches back to the mahabharat.
Local devotees said, Despite a roofless shrine, the temple always remains snow-free, even during heavy winter snowfall—while the surrounding peaks are blanketed.

Located at an altitude of approximately 3,200 meters, Shikari Mata Temple is one of the holiest and most spiritually uplifting places in the Mandi district. Nestled amidst the majestic mountains, it’s not only a revered shrine but also the highest peak in Mandi. The temple holds ancient significance, dating back to the era of the Pandavas.
I’ve had the blessing of visiting this sacred place multiple times, and each visit has been a deeply energizing experience. The environment is pure and powerful—filled with positivity, peace, and the divine presence of Shikari Mata Ji. You can truly feel the spiritual energy in the air.
One of the most memorable visits was when we trekked to the temple from Devidarh village. It’s a beautiful and challenging 9–10 km trek through a dense, serene forest. It took us around four and a half hours to reach the top, and every step felt like a pilgrimage in itself—soothing the soul and connecting us with nature and divinity.
In 2025, I had the fortune of visiting again with my family to seek blessings from Mata Ji. From 2018 to 2025, many things had changed, including the stairway leading to the temple, but the peace and divine energy remained as strong as ever.

We also visited Gurdwara Sahib and nearby religious sites, which added to the spiritual charm of the place. The serene environment, with its mix of nature and spirituality, made for a perfect getaway. A must-visit for those seeking tranquility, natural beauty, and positive vibes!

A good place for visitors.It is near Barot valley.it is lush green site.you can take a bath in Lake. It is a holy place for Hindu and Buddhist people. You can enjoy local food. It has a small zoo for kids. You can enjoy a museum in a gurudwara and a museum. It is a very peaceful place for meditation. You can stay here for a night.

Rewalsar Lake is calm, beautiful, and a great place to just sit, chill, and stare into the distance like you’re solving the mysteries of life.
The view is lovely, the breeze is nice… but let’s be honest — there’s not a whole lot to “do” here.
And before you get any bright ideas — don’t feed the fish. Unless you’re carrying ₹5000 just for the fine. The fish look hungry, but the rules are stricter than school exams.
There are some snack stalls nearby and a few places to try Tibetan food, which is actually pretty good and worth a bite.
Overall: Great place to relax, click some peaceful pics, and enjoy the lake view — just don’t expect too much action. Come here when your soul needs a break, not when you’re craving an itinerary.
Rewalsar Lake is a serene and spiritual spot surrounded by three beautiful monasteries, a Gurudwara, and a small temple. The calm atmosphere is perfect for reflection—though the temple’s loud music at times disturbs the otherwise peaceful setting.

People live over there in peace and harmony, mostly Tibetan. Good place to stay to purify your soul and mind.
It is located around 18-20 kms away from Ner Chowk. The road to reach there is narrow, and being widened at the very end. The whole town is located around the Lake.
The lake is sacred amongst Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists. There’s a monastery, a Shiva temple and a Gurudwara around the lake.
The lake is beautiful and it has lot of fish inside it.
The garden needs a bit of maintenance and cleaning. There’s a car parking inside the lake premises.
Lake Rewalsar, also known as Tso Pema, is a significant pilgrimage site in the Buddhist tradition. It was one of the highlights on our two-week road trip. The lake holds deep spiritual meaning, with unique stories and beliefs in both Buddhist and local traditions—each version equally fascinating.
