A beautiful place to visit, weather it is with your beau, with friends or with your family. The serenity of the place is astonishing. The steps to Kempty falls is not so steep and is easily a short trek. The Kempty falls also provides a Ropeway cable for a price of Rs. 250/- per person (but all in cash) 😐. The snacks and food prices are a little steep but worth the climb. The Kempty falls also features boating area and a Drone camera facilities, on top of this, bathing facility is also there, where one can rent bathing suit for a price and enjoy.

Watching the sunrise in Mussoorie is truly one of the most magical experiences you can have in the hills. As the first light breaks over the mountains, the entire valley glows in shades of orange, pink, and gold — it’s absolutely breathtaking. The cool morning breeze, the chirping of birds, and the peaceful silence make it feel like time stands still for a moment.
Somesh P — Google review
Kempty falls is one of the best places to visit in Mussoorie. The water falls from quite a height and is rather a magnificent sight. The waterfall can be accessed by climbing down some 150 steps or by a ropeway. It is a series of falls and can be viewed from different levels. The approach to the fall has large uneven steps and is not well arranged or maintained. But there are a few places where you can bathe in the collected water. There are some food stalls around and you can sit and eat with your feet dangling in the cool water. 30-45 minutes should be enough to visit the place. Highly recommended.

Best time to visit during winter early morning or evening. The place has wide rangw of birds. You can explore this place either on bicycle, on foot or on rickshaw. Best mode to explore is on bicycle as you can explore all the lanes. At the end other end there is a temple plus a cafe which is quite affordable. You will have to pay entry fee and bicycle rent. You take a guided tour where the guide will help you understand the birds migration pattern and how to best identify or locate the birds. Overall its good to visit one time.

Keoladeo National Park, also known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, is one of India’s most celebrated avian destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spread over 29 sq km, this artificial wetland has a rich history dating back to the 18th century when it was created by Maharaja Suraj Mal by building the Ajan Bund to store monsoon rainwater. Initially a duck-hunting reserve for the Maharajas and British officers, it was declared a bird sanctuary in 1956 and gained national park status in 1982. Located conveniently on the Golden Triangle (Delhi–Agra–Jaipur route), the park features a well-maintained network of trails and cycling routes. The map clearly shows key zones—wetlands, grasslands, and woodlands—each teeming with over 370 species of birds, including painted storks, egrets, and the rare Siberian crane (seen in the past). Cycling or hiring a rickshaw with a trained guide is highly recommended for exploring the area. Ticket Information (as of latest update): Indian Adults: ₹75 Foreign Nationals: ₹500 Rickshaw Ride: ₹150–₹200/hour Guide Charges: ₹250–₹300/hour Cycle Rentals: ₹50/day Best Time to Visit: November to February (ideal for migratory birds). Ajanta Caves

Mentioned on
10 lists
Historical place
Nature & Parks
The Ajanta Caves, dating back to the 2nd and 1st centuries BC, are a collection of richly adorned caves housing religious art masterpieces. These caves are situated along a steep face of a horseshoe-shaped gorge bordering the Waghore River. Among them, five are prayer halls (chaityas) while others serve as dwellings (viharas).
There is nothing I can say to describe Ajanta Caves. You have to visit it to see its beauty. When you visit Ajanta, the main area of caves is very well maintained and clean however civic sense goes out the window when you go to the viewing point. The authorities are partly responsible for not installing a single dust-bin along the stairs of the viewing area but people too act recklessly here. The entire path is littered with plastic. So, kindly do not add to the litter. Ajanta caves are located about 90 kms from SambhajiNagar and takes about 2 hours to get there. Bus shuttle service takes you from parking to the Cave entry point after which it's a 15 min climb to the main cave complex. Will take you good 3 hours to see the entire complex. I will recommend not to wear shoes as you will have to remove them at every cave entry. Once you exit and come back to the shuttle pick up and drop point, there is a MTDC restaurant which serves good wholesome food with good variety of options. Suggest you have your meal here.
Siddhesh D — Google review
Ajanta Caves – A Truly Mesmerizing Experience Ajanta Caves are truly a masterpiece of ancient Indian art and architecture. Unlike the Ellora Caves, which feature Jain, Hindu, and Buddhist caves carved from stone, Ajanta is completely dedicated to Buddhist heritage and is renowned for its breathtaking color-painted interiors. The vibrant wall paintings and murals here tell stories of Lord Buddha’s life, and even after centuries, they continue to amaze visitors with their depth, detail, and artistry. One of the biggest differences between Ajanta and Ellora is that Ajanta Caves are full of paintings and carvings that depict serenity and spiritual depth, whereas Ellora Caves are more about sculptures and rock-cut structures without much color. Ajanta’s painted caves feel alive — almost as if they whisper stories from the past. It’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime place to visit. The entire site is extremely well maintained. The pathways, cleanliness, and viewing arrangements show how carefully the site is preserved. It’s a perfect destination for history lovers, architecture enthusiasts, and Instagram travelers — with plenty of stunning photo spots surrounded by lush greenery and rock formations. However, one small disappointment is that the tourism department should make greater efforts to preserve the original cave paintings. The colors, though still visible, are fading slowly with time. These murals are a priceless part of India’s cultural heritage and deserve careful restoration to maintain their charm for future generations. If you have to choose between visiting just one — visit Ajanta Caves. They are truly mesmerizing, spiritually uplifting, and showcase the artistic brilliance of ancient India like no other place.

Ajanta caves, located in Aurangabad is a timeless masterpiece of Indian art and history! Visiting this place was truly an unforgettable experience. The rock-cut Buddhist caves, with their detailed paintings and sculptures, feel like stepping back in time nearly 2,000 years. Every wall, the carvings and paintings tell a story of culture. The serenity of the surroundings and the artistry of the carvings left me in awe. The caves are dark inside, it's better to have a flashlight in hand. The site is well-maintained, though the climb can be a bit steep, so wearing comfortable shoes is a must. When we were here, after we crossed a cave there were some rocks falling from above, fortunately nobody was severely injured. Also, the view from the top overlooking the Waghora River is breathtaking. It's a must-visit for anyone who appreciates history, art, or spirituality. Truly one of India’s greatest heritage treasures! This place is of historical/ archeological relevance and it is a World Heritage Site. No wonder Aurangabad is the tourism capital of Maharashtra! Definitely worth a visit with your family.

Visiting the Ajanta Caves is like stepping back in time to ancient India. These rock-cut caves, dating back to around the 2nd century BCE, are an incredible blend of history, art, and spirituality. The intricate murals and sculptures inside the caves are masterpieces that depict the life of Buddha, scenes from Jataka tales, and Buddhist teachings. The serenity of the place, nestled in a gorge with a view of lush greenery, adds to the experience. While some caves are better preserved than others, the sheer scale and detail of the artwork is breathtaking. The caves also offer a peaceful, almost meditative atmosphere, making it an ideal place for reflection. The site is well-maintained, but a guide or an audio tour is recommended to fully appreciate the stories behind the artwork. Overall, the Ajanta Caves are a must-visit for history enthusiasts, art lovers, and anyone wanting to explore India’s rich cultural heritage.

Magnificent historical treasure. Must be on bucket list of all indians. One can finish the visit easily in a day from Aurangabad. There are two ways of reaching caves. One is beautiful mildly challenging trek of appx 1.5 km from Ajanta View point. One can park the car and take the trek to and fro to caves, this trek reaches directly at cave no. 8. Another option is the main entry 22 km more from this Ajanta View point, park own vehicle and take shuttle bus which will take you to caves. Inside caves, walk of 1-2 km with steps at many places is involved. At many caves, shoes are not allowed. Drinking water and toilets are available inside premises. Carry umbrella if you don't like the sun. The caves are worth your time and effort and it may take 2-3 hours to visit entire area.

Ajanta Caves in Aurangabad are an extraordinary testament to India’s ancient artistic brilliance. Walking through these rock-cut Buddhist caves feels like entering another era, where every mural, carving, and sculpture reveals the depth of creativity from nearly two millennia ago. The interiors are dim, so carrying a small flashlight really helps to appreciate the incredible details preserved on the walls. The pathway around the caves is generally well maintained, but some sections can be steep, making comfortable footwear essential. During our visit, a few stones fell from the cliffside after we exited one of the caves — a reminder to stay alert while exploring. The panoramic view from the top, especially the sweeping sight of the Waghora River valley, is absolutely stunning and adds to the charm of the experience. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ajanta holds immense archaeological and historical importance. Whether you are a history lover, an art enthusiast, or simply someone seeking a meaningful travel experience, this destination promises deep cultural insight. Aurangabad truly earns its reputation as Maharashtra’s tourism hub, and a visit to Ajanta with family is something you won’t regret.

Ellora Caves is one of the most amazing historical places in India and a great example of our old art and culture. Located near Chatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Old Name Aurangabad), it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with 34 rock-cut caves showing the faiths of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. These caves were made between the 6th and 10th centuries, and the carvings on the rocks are truly beautiful and detailed. The most famous part of Ellora is the Kailasa Temple (Cave 16). It is carved out of one huge rock and looks stunning. It’s hard to believe that such a big and detailed temple was made so long ago with simple tools. The walls, pillars, and statues of gods and goddesses are full of fine artwork and devotion. The place is calm and well-maintained, with clear signs and clean paths. Visiting early in the morning or evening is best to avoid the heat and crowds. Local guides can explain the history and stories of each cave very well. Ellora Caves is not just a sightseeing spot—it is a wonderful journey into India’s ancient history. It is a must-visit for anyone who loves art, history, or peaceful heritage places. Ticket price For Indian Adults 40 rs Children below 15 dose not require any tickets but required Adhar as age proof For foreigners 600 rs.

Today I visited the Ellora Caves, and honestly, it was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. The place is absolutely stunning, a true masterpiece carved out of solid rock centuries ago. There are 34 caves in total, each with its own unique carvings, sculptures, and stories. What really blew my mind was the Kailasa Temple (Cave 16), which is carved entirely from a single massive rock. Just imagining the amount of time, effort, and creativity that must have gone into it left me speechless. Walking through the caves, I could actually feel the blend of Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain cultures that coexisted here. The artwork on the walls, the detailed pillars, and the peaceful atmosphere make it feel like stepping back in time. It’s not just a tourist spot, it’s a living piece of history. The surroundings are also beautiful, with cliffs, greenery, and a calm breeze that adds to the charm. If you ever visit Maharashtra, I’d totally recommend spending a day here. It’s more than just sightseeing; it’s an experience that makes you appreciate how incredible human creativity and devotion can be.

The Kailasa Temple at Ellora Caves is a stunning, singular attraction, famous for being entirely carved from a single rock of the mountain. Not only does the temple feature beautiful idols of gods and animals, but some of these sculptures are carved into the temple walls in a distinctive 3D/360° style. Furthermore, one side of the temple depicts scenes from the Mahabharata, while the other side is dedicated to carvings from the Ramayana.

Best among all prehistoric monuments. One day tour. Better to start from Shirdi and back to Shirdi rather than Sambhajinagar. 10 am to 3 pm sufficient for all caves. Winter is best to visit.

Ellora Caves experience was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The intricate rock-cut architecture and centuries-old carvings truly demonstrate unmatched craftsmanship. Kailasa Temple alone feels like an ancient architectural masterclass carved by artists who probably never believed in coffee breaks. We reached comfortably by road, with decent parking facilities available near the entrance. The site is quite expansive, so comfortable footwear and a bit of stamina are essential. Facilities around the complex are adequate, although carrying water helps, especially when exploring with family. Guides are available and add meaningful historical context that elevates the experience. The location offers a harmonious blend of history, culture, and artistry that leaves you humbled. Highly recommended for families, history lovers, and anyone who enjoys exploring monumental heritage. This visit felt like stepping into a living museum carved out of stone. A proper treat for the mind and soul.

The Ellora Caves are famous for being a UNESCO World Heritage Site that features a unique blend of Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain rock-cut temples and monasteries, with the massive, single-rock-carved Kailasa Temple (Cave 16) being its most famous feature. The complex is one of the largest rock-hewn monastic-temple complexes in the world, renowned for its intricate carvings and architecture, and for showcasing religious harmony from the 6th to 10th centuries.

Sula Vineyards, located in Nashik, about 180 kilometers northeast of Mumbai, is a renowned winery celebrated for its diverse grape wine varietals such as Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Zinfandel. What began as a modest 30-acre estate has now expanded to cover nearly 1800 acres across Nashik and Karnataka. This expansive estate welcomes visitors every day of the year to indulge in wine tasting and vineyard tours.
Sula Vineyards is such a fun and chill place to hang out. The lights and colorful chairs make the vibe really cool at night. Food and wine together taste just perfect here. It’s a nice spot whether you’re with friends or family. The wine truck and gift shop add a quirky touch. Truly a place where you feel the Sula life!
Madhav P — Google review
I recently visited Sula Vineyards with my family 🍇👫, and honestly, it was a wonderful experience even though none of us are wine drinkers 🚫🍷. Many people think Sula is only about wine tasting, but that’s not true — there’s plenty to enjoy without touching a wine glass. The lush green vineyards 🌿, open landscapes 🏞️, and calm ambience ✨ make it an excellent spot for a relaxing getaway. The property is very well-maintained, with lots of open spaces to walk around, click photos 📸🌸, and simply enjoy the fresh air. It truly feels like an escape from the busy city life. The entry fee is ₹1000 per person on weekends and ₹600 on weekdays 💰. The good part is that you get coupons of the same value, which can be redeemed inside at the restaurant or café 🍴. We used ours for food, and while the taste and quality were excellent 😋, the food items are a little on the expensive side 💸. Still, it balances out since the entry fee coupons cover a good part of the cost. Since we didn’t opt for wine tasting, our time was spent exploring the vineyard, enjoying the atmosphere, and relaxing over a family meal. The only drawback was that service can be a bit slow ⏳, and yes, prices are slightly premium. In short: Even if you don’t drink, Sula is still a beautiful, family-friendly place to visit — peaceful, scenic, and a memorable outing! 💫😊

Visited today on 6th October 25. Very very beautiful place to visit. May be no 1 place to visit in Nashik. Makes the Wine Capital of India earn its name. The place is very clean and well maintained. The prices is ₹1000 per head on weekends and 600 on weekdaysfor entry. One can expend this rs 600 in restaurant or wine tasting vum factory visit. The tour is really good and the tasting is fun with well learned guide. 7 types of wines given for tasting.

Sula Vineyards is an absolutely nashik to-do destination, especially if you visit during the late afternoon or evening. We visited on a sunny October evening, and the atmosphere was perfect. The sun setting over the vineyards cast a beautiful golden glow, making for incredible photos and a wonderfully relaxing experience. The expansive grounds are beautifully maintained, offering a tranquil escape from the city hustle. We ordered food bites and enjoyed on the patio overlooking the rows of grapes. The energy in the evening is perfect—lively enough to feel festive, but peaceful enough to enjoy the view and conversation. Whether you're a serious wine enthusiast or just looking for a beautiful spot to unwind and watch the sunset, Sula provides a top-notch experience. Highly recommended for a romantic evening or a chill gathering with friends

We visited Sula Vineyards on a public holiday, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience! On weekends and public holidays, the entry fee is ₹1000 per person, while on weekdays it’s ₹700, which you can fully redeem for food, shopping, or wine tasting—like a prepaid coupon. The property is absolutely stunning, perfect for clicking beautiful pictures amidst the vineyards. We started our visit with a photo session and then headed for lunch. The food was good, though a bit on the expensive side. Post lunch, we opted for the wine tasting and tour (₹700 per person). The tour started with a short video and a factory walkthrough, where the process was explained in detail by their knowledgeable guide. This was followed by a tasting session of six different wines, one after another, which really helped us decide which wine to buy. Overall, Sula Vineyards is a must-visit place, whether with friends or family. It offers a perfect mix of scenic beauty, good food, and a delightful wine-tasting experience.

Visited Sula Vineyards and tasted 6 types of wines — the place was amazing and the overall experience was superb! 🍷 The ambiance and staff were great. However, there’s a small issue with their pricing. They provide ₹1000 worth of coupons (₹200 x 5), but for the vineyard factory visit and wine tasting ticket (₹700), only ₹600 can be redeemed, and ₹100 has to be paid extra. They don’t actually provide ₹100 coupons, which feels a bit misleading in their marketing. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful place and definitely worth visiting once!

Good place to unwind for people travelling to Nashik. Photography points are adequate. The wine tour is good and tasting is a personal choice, since wine is an acquired taste. Their dessert wine Moscato is quite fruity and tastes good. Cover charges are Rs. 1000 on weekends and 600 on weekdays. Wine tasting is Rs. 600 inclusive of tour, only winery tour is 200/- In house restaurants are good but a bit on the pricier side.

If you're in Nashik, a visit to Sula Vineyard is an experience you just can't miss. The place has a vibe that instantly makes you feel like you've stepped into a different world - calm, green, and full of life. The entry fee is ₹600 per person, and the best part is that you can fully redeem it at the restaurant, wine shop, or for wine tasting. In fact, Sula proudly says that for many visitors, their first-ever wine tasting happens right here. Walking through the vineyard feels exciting at every step from the giant wine bottle installations and the upside-down wine pyramid, to the quirky cycles and the beautiful grape farms, it's a place where you'll keep wanting to take pictures. The wine shop is airy and well set up, while the restaurant upstairs is the perfect spot to sit back with a glass of wine. We tried their pizza with wine in the afternoon, and with the vineyard view stretching out in front of us, it felt refreshing and peaceful. Overall, Sula Vineyard is more than just about wine - it's about the whole atmosphere, the views, and the experience. Whether you're here for food, photos, or your first glass of wine, it's a place that will leave you smiling

Bibi ka Maqbara, also known as the 'Taj of Deccan,' is a marble Mughal mausoleum built in the mid-1600s. It features a garden, fountains, and intricate carvings. Despite attempts to outshine the Taj Mahal, it ended up being a mere shadow of the original due to budgetary constraints and opposition from Emperor Aurangzeb.
Bibi Ka Maqbara is truly a hidden gem of Aurangabad! Often called the ‘Mini Taj Mahal’, this beautiful monument captures the essence of Mughal architecture with its white marble dome, intricate carvings, and peaceful surroundings. It was built by Aurangzeb’s son in memory of his mother, and you can really feel the love and artistry in every corner. The place is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for photography especially during the early morning or evening when the light hits the monument beautifully. The reflection of the tomb in the long water channel adds to its charm. There’s a calm vibe here, making it a great spot to sit, relax, and admire the historic beauty. A must-visit if you’re in Aurangabad rich in history, serene in atmosphere, and stunning in design! 🌸

Bibi Ka Maqbara means Mausoleum of the Lady. It is the burial place of Aurangzeb’s first wife, Rabia-ud-Durrani, built by Aurangzeb and later repaired by his son Prince Azam Shah between 1651 n 1661 AD. It bears a striking resemblance to the Taj Mahal, the mausoleum of Aurangzeb's mother, Mumtaz Mahal, which is why it is also called the Taj of the Deccan. It is situated in the heart of Aurangabad (now Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar) city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Bibi Ka Maqbara is a fine example of Mughal design infused with local artistry. The central marble mausoleum is surrounded by intricate minarets at each corner. A vast Charbagh style garden surrounds the tomb having pathways, fountains, and lush greenery creating an atmosphere of serenity. Though it is compared with the Taj Mahal, Bibi Ka Maqbara shines with its own grace. The marble used here is not as abundant as in Agra, but the delicate lattice work, intricate floral designs, and domed structures give it a charm that is both regal and poetic.

Review of Bibi Ka Maqbara, Aurangabad My recent visit to Bibi Ka Maqbara in Aurangabad was a truly memorable experience. Often called the “Mini Taj Mahal,” this monument is an architectural marvel built by Azam Shah in memory of his mother, Dilras Banu Begum. Although inspired by the Taj Mahal, Bibi Ka Maqbara has its own charm and elegance that reflect the grandeur of Mughal architecture in the Deccan region. The first glimpse of the monument, with its tall minarets and white dome shining under the sunlight, left me awestruck. The intricate carvings on the marble, the symmetrical layout, and the peaceful gardens surrounding the structure create a serene and majestic atmosphere. As I walked through the pathway leading to the main tomb, the detailed work on the walls and arches reminded me of the artistic brilliance of that era. What impressed me most was how well-maintained the monument is despite its age. The surrounding area is clean, and the entry is well organized. The view from the front garden is perfect for photography—especially during the golden hours of sunrise or sunset. Visiting Bibi Ka Maqbara felt like stepping back in time, witnessing a son’s love and respect for his mother immortalized in marble. Though smaller in scale than the Taj Mahal, it carries the same emotional depth and historical significance. Overall, it’s a must-visit place for history lovers, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates cultural heritage.

My visit to Bibi Ka Maqbara in Aurangabad turned out to be an unforgettable experience. Popularly known as the “Mini Taj Mahal,” this beautiful monument was built by Azam Shah as a tribute to his mother, Dilras Banu Begum. While it draws inspiration from the Taj Mahal, the structure possesses a distinct grace and charm that highlight the splendor of Mughal architecture in the Deccan. The moment the monument came into view—with its elegant minarets and gleaming white dome—I was instantly captivated. The finely crafted marble work, the balanced architectural design, and the tranquil gardens surrounding the complex create a peaceful and regal setting. Walking along the main pathway, I was struck by the exquisite detailing on the arches and walls, a true reflection of the craftsmanship of that era. What stood out even more was the excellent upkeep of the monument. The premises are clean, the management is smooth, and the gardens offer excellent photography spots, especially during sunrise and sunset. Exploring Bibi Ka Maqbara felt like entering a chapter of history, witnessing the enduring love of a son for his mother carved in stone. Though more modest in scale compared to the Taj Mahal, it carries a similar emotional essence and cultural richness. It is undoubtedly a place worth visiting for anyone who values history, architecture, or heritage.

"Bibi Ka Maqbara in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar is a must-visit for anyone interested in Mughal history and architecture. Often called the 'Mini Taj Mahal,' it's an impressive monument built by Prince Azam Shah in memory of his mother, Dilras Banu Begum (Aurangzeb's wife). While it may be a scaled-down version of the Taj Mahal, it stands proud with its own grace and history. The white marble mausoleum is beautiful, especially the intricate carvings and the surrounding Charbagh style garden. My suggestions for a great visit: • Visit during the evening: The monument is beautifully lit up at night, which offers a completely different, magical experience. (Check the latest closing time before you go!). • A quiet place for reflection: It's generally less crowded than the Taj Mahal, allowing for a more peaceful appreciation of the architecture and historical significance. • Look for the details: Pay attention to the marble inlay work and the symmetry of the complex. If you are in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar to see the Ajanta and Ellora Caves, make sure to set aside time for this elegant historical site. Highly recommended! 5/5 Stars."

My recent visit to Bibi Ka Maqbara in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad) was an unforgettable experience. Often referred to as the “Mini Taj Mahal”, this magnificent monument was built by Prince Azam Shah in memory of his mother, Dilras Banu Begum, the wife of Emperor Aurangzeb. While it takes inspiration from the Taj Mahal, Bibi Ka Maqbara has its own distinct beauty that reflects the elegance of Mughal architecture in the Deccan region. The moment I caught sight of the monument with its gleaming white dome and towering minarets shining under the sunlight I was completely mesmerized. The detailed marble carvings, perfect symmetry, and the peaceful Charbagh-style garden surrounding the tomb create a soothing and royal atmosphere. Walking along the pathway to the main mausoleum, I was struck by the craftsmanship and intricate artistry that showcase the skill and devotion of that era. Despite being centuries old, the monument is exceptionally well maintained. The area is clean, and the entry process is smooth and organized. The view from the front garden is especially picturesque, making it ideal for photography particularly during sunrise or sunset when the golden light enhances its beauty. Bibi Ka Maqbara beautifully represents a son’s love and reverence for his mother, immortalized in marble. Though smaller in scale compared to the Taj Mahal, it carries the same emotional depth and historical charm. The reflection of the tomb in the long water channel adds to its serene vibe, making it a peaceful place to sit, reflect, and admire the artistry around. If you’re visiting Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to explore Ajanta and Ellora Caves, you should definitely include Bibi Ka Maqbara in your itinerary. Tips for Visitors: 🌇 Best time to visit: Early morning or evening for pleasant weather and soft lighting. 💡 Evening visit: The monument looks magical when illuminated at night. 📸 Photography: Don’t miss capturing the reflections and symmetrical views. 🕌 Details: Observe the delicate floral patterns, marble inlay work, and arches for a closer look at Mughal artistry. Bibi Ka Maqbara truly stands as a hidden gem of Maharashtra graceful, historic, and full of artistic brilliance. It’s a must-visit destination for anyone who loves history, architecture, and peaceful heritage sites.

Visited Bibi ka Maqbara at night — a beautiful and serene experience. The monument closely resembles the Taj Mahal, though about half its size, and looks stunning under the night lights. It’s perfect for a short visit and offers a peaceful atmosphere. Definitely a must-visit spot for anyone coming to Aurangabad, especially if you’re here for the Ellora Caves or other nearby attractions.

Often called the "Taj of the Deccan," this striking 17th-century marble structure is a key Mughal monument in Maharashtra. It resembles the Taj Mahal in Agra. History: This structure was built by Prince Azam Shah, the son of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, in loving memory of his mother, Dilras Banu Begum (also known as Rabia-ul-Daurani). Unlike the Taj Mahal, which was built by a husband for his wife, this is a tribute from a son to his mother. Designed by architect Ata-ullah and engineer Hanspat Rai, it was constructed on a modest budget, resulting in a mix of marble and basalt rather than pure marble. Plan Your Visit Timings: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Open Daily). Best Time: Early morning or sunset for the best lighting. ⚠️ Traffic & Road Alert. Road connectivity to the monument is poor when I visited. The approach roads are often riddled with potholes and congestion, so allow extra travel time.

🌸 Shirdi Sai Baba: A Divine Beacon of Peace and Spiritual Awakening 🌸 In the sacred town of Shirdi, nestled in the heart of Maharashtra, stands a holy sanctuary — the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple — a place that transcends religion, caste, and creed. It is not just a temple made of stone and mortar; it is a living realm of divinity, compassion, and universal brotherhood. People from all walks of life, regardless of their background, are drawn here in search of peace, healing, and inner transformation. Sai Baba of Shirdi, revered as a Saint, Fakir, and Satguru, is the embodiment of love without conditions and faith without fear. His presence continues to inspire millions across the globe to lead lives rooted in truth, humility, and devotion. Baba never identified with any particular religion — he often said, "Sabka Malik Ek" — “God is One”. These simple yet profound words echo through time, reminding us that the divine resides in all beings. 🕊️ The World of Peace and Spiritual Harmony To step into the world of Sai Baba is to step into a space of deep inner stillness. His teachings were not filled with complex rituals or doctrines; rather, they focused on compassion, tolerance, patience, forgiveness, and faith. The very air of Shirdi carries a vibration of calmness and spiritual elevation, guiding the restless soul toward serenity. Baba taught us that true spirituality lies in selfless service, in helping others, in feeding the hungry, in comforting the grieving, and in uplifting the downtrodden. He saw no difference between rich and poor, Hindu and Muslim, or educated and uneducated — to him, all were children of the One Supreme Power. 🌿 Life Lessons from Sai Baba: Learning to Truly Live The timeless wisdom of Sai Baba is a guide to navigating the challenges of modern life with grace and dignity. Here are some of the most cherished lessons we can draw from his life: Shraddha (Faith) and Saburi (Patience): Baba constantly emphasized these two pillars. Have unshakeable faith in the Divine, and wait with patience; everything unfolds in its time. Love All, Serve All: He urged people to rise above ego and hatred and instead, serve humanity with love. Service to others is service to God. Forgive and Let Go: Holding on to anger or revenge only poisons the soul. Sai Baba often forgave even those who wronged him — a true lesson in humility and spiritual strength. Equality and Unity: Baba broke down all social and religious barriers. His very life was a message that we are all one, united under one Divine light. Contentment and Simplicity: He lived a humble life, teaching us to find joy not in material wealth, but in gratitude, simplicity, and inner contentment. --- 🙏 A Personal Journey with Baba For many devotees, Baba is more than a saint — he is a companion, guide, healer, and divine protector. Whether you're facing illness, emotional turmoil, or spiritual confusion, turning to Baba with a sincere heart brings light into the darkest moments. His presence is not bound by time or space. You may feel it in the stillness of a prayer, the kindness of a stranger, or the silent answers that come in meditation. Baba listens to every heart that calls him, and his grace flows silently yet powerfully. --- 🛕 In Closing: A Temple in the Heart While the Shirdi temple is a sacred pilgrimage for millions, the true temple of Baba is the human heart. When we live by his teachings — of love, service, and truth — we carry his spirit with us wherever we go. In doing so, we become channels of the very peace and light that Sai Baba offered to the world. May Sai Baba bless you and your loved ones with health, harmony, guidance, and unwavering faith. May his light shine on your path and lead you to the divine peace that resides within. 🕉️ Om Sai Ram! 🕉️

There are many gates to enter the temple but if you want to have a free darshan then enter from gate no. 7. The charge for VIP darshan is 200 rupees. You have to deposit your mobile in the clock room where the charge is 5 rupees per phone. You get darshan in 30 minutes. The management is very good, there is a provision to sit in the line inside and there is also a washroom and there is also a provision for many fan coller..

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is a peaceful and divine place to visit. Near Gate 6, you’ll find mobile lockers available for just Rs 5 per phone, along with free shoe stands. For free darshan, head to Gate 7, which you can reach from Dwarkamai Temple, if Dwarkamai is in front of you, go left and take the first right. You’ll pass the mobile lockers first, and then Gate 7 is right there. On weekends, the wait time for free darshan is usually around 3 hours, and the entire process can take 3-4 hours. We also visited once on a Monday morning around 6 AM, and it only took about 1.5 to 2 hours for the complete Darshan. If you prefer paid darshan, you can either book online in advance or book near temple, enter through Gate 6 when you arrive. Wait time is much lesser than free Darshan but it'll still take almost 2 if crowded. Inside the temple, there is usually some waiting time before darshan, so visitors are asked to sit in waiting halls. Opposite these halls, there’s a counter where you can get free unlimited tea and biscuits. They also sell chips and water at prices much lower than market rate. After darshan, don’t forget to pick up your free food coupons next to the neem tree. Near the exit, you will also receive packets of prasad and vibhooti. Additionally, there’s a laddu counter near the lendi garden entry, opposite the neem tree, where you can get the famous Shirdi laddu.

Nestled in the heart of Pune, the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir stands as a beacon of devotion and artistry. This iconic temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesha, boasts stunning marble interiors and a magnificent golden idol that captivates visitors from all walks of life. Established in 1893 by Shri Dagdusheth Halwai and his wife Lakshmibai following a personal tragedy, this sacred site has become one of India's most revered places for worship.
Visiting Dagdusheth Ganpati was a truly divine experience. The moment I reached the temple, the atmosphere was filled with chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” and the fragrance of flowers and incense. The magnificent idol of Lord Ganesha, beautifully adorned with gold ornaments, instantly filled my heart with peace and devotion. Even amidst the crowd, darshan was smooth because of the temple’s unique design that allows everyone to see Bappa clearly. The positive energy, the devotion of people, and the feeling of being in the presence of Lord Ganesha made the visit unforgettable. Visiting the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple is always a divine and soul-soothing experience. Located in the heart of Pune, this temple is not just a place of worship but a symbol of devotion, culture, and tradition. The moment you step inside, you can feel an aura of peace, positivity, and spiritual energy surrounding you. The Ganpati idol here is truly magnificent — beautifully adorned with gold and intricate ornaments. The eyes of Lord Ganesha seem so lively and compassionate that one instantly feels connected and blessed. The temple management ensures that everything is well organized, from darshan queues to cleanliness and safety measures. Despite being one of the most popular temples in Maharashtra, the darshan moves smoothly thanks to the systematic arrangement and polite volunteers who guide devotees with patience and warmth. The surrounding area is also well maintained, and facilities like shoe counters and prasad distribution are handled efficiently. During festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, the entire place transforms into a vibrant celebration with lights, music, and devotion — yet the sense of discipline and organization remains intact. It’s heartwarming to see how the temple also engages in various charitable activities, helping the needy and supporting social causes throughout the year. Overall, visiting Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple is a must for anyone in Pune — whether for spiritual solace, cultural significance, or simply to experience the deep devotion of countless devotees. A truly divine place that fills your heart with peace and gratitude.

One small improvement could be providing a tap or facility to wash hands, as we place our chappals on the stand with bare hands. Overall, the temple is well-organized, spiritually uplifting, and a must-visit for anyone coming to Pune.

SHREE DAGDUSHETH HALWAI GANPATI – PUNE’S ICONIC GANESH TEMPLE We visited the famed Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati—Pune’s answer to Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja—and were truly amazed by the authentic and wholesome vibe of the festivities. The idol is majestic, with a traditional Puneri crown that’s instantly recognizable. The temple interiors are adorned with chandeliers, and despite the crowd, the pandits are calm, making the darshan peaceful. You can even stay back for the aarti, which adds a spiritual depth to the visit. A thoughtful feature is the glass viewing section on the front wall, allowing devotees to seek blessings even from the road during rush hours. During Ganeshotsav, the idol is ceremoniously moved to a temporary mandap at the end of the road, accompanied by traditional dhol-tasha groups and grand processions full of energy and devotion. It’s not just a temple—it’s a cultural experience. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, Dagdusheth Ganpati offers a glimpse into Pune’s soul, wrapped in devotion, tradition, and celebration.

“Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir is one of the most divine and peaceful places in Pune. The beautifully decorated idol of Lord Ganesha is truly mesmerizing — one glimpse fills your heart with calm and positivity. The temple is well-maintained, clean, and the darshan is usually smooth thanks to the organized management. The surrounding area is lively, yet the moment you enter the mandir, you feel a deep sense of devotion and peace. A must-visit for anyone seeking blessings and a serene spiritual experience. Dagdusheth Ganpati Mandir is a must-visit landmark in Pune. The idol is grand and beautifully adorned, especially during festivals. The temple is centrally located, very clean, and perfect for tourists, photographers, and devotees alike. A great blend of culture, tradition, and devotion. Every visit to Dagdusheth Ganpati Mandir feels like a moment of pure blessing. The divine aura, calming chants, and the beautifully decorated Bappa instantly lift your mood and give you fresh energy. It’s a place where devotion truly comes alive.”

One of the most beautiful temples in Pune. Visiting this temple is truly a divine experience. The moment you see Lord Ganesh, so beautifully adorned, you can instantly feel the spiritual aura and positive energy around you. Despite being crowded most of the time, the temple is managed exceptionally well, no matter when you visit, you’ll always get a peaceful darshan of Ganesh ji. There’s also a Shiva temple within the same premises, adding to the sacred atmosphere. The poojari are humble and ensure everyone receives aarti and prasad with warmth. During Ganesh Chaturthi, the temple looks absolutely magnificent. Ganesh ji is decorated in gold, and the sight is truly something else. Spending time here fills you with calmness and devotion. I am genuinely a fan of this temple, it’s a place that never fails to bring peace and positivity.

Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir is one of the most iconic and spiritually uplifting places in Pune. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and is known for its stunning idol, beautifully adorned with gold ornaments and an aura of divine serenity. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Visiting the Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple was a beautiful and divine experience. The temple is filled with positive energy and devotion, and the darshan feels truly special. For first-time visitors, here are a few useful tips to make your visit smooth: • Avoid taking your car directly into the temple lane. The lane is extremely congested, one-way, and located in a busy market area. You won’t find parking nearby. It’s best to park your vehicle 500 meters to 1 km away and take a rickshaw to the temple. • You can choose a fast-track darshan pass for around ₹100 to directly go for darshan. There is also a regular darshan queue behind the temple where you can go without a pass. • Photography is not allowed inside the temple. If you wish to take pictures, you must visit the temple office and get proper permission first. • There is a shoe rack facility available where you can safely keep your footwear and get a token. Overall, a wonderful and peaceful darshan experience. Just be mindful about the approach road and parking, and everything else will be absolutely blissful. Must-visit for everyone seeking blessings in Pune!

Sinhagad Fort, located on a hill rising 760 meters above sea level near Pune, is a historic fortress known for the Battle of Sinhagad in 1671. It serves as a memorial for Tanaji and the tomb of Rajaram. The site features military stables, breweries, and a temple dedicated to the goddess Kali. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from this hilltop fort, making it popular for weekend getaways and monsoon trekking.
Excellent location to visit. One must visit during weekdays to avoid crowds. Bottles of water and rainy wear are a must. Black fort walls and structures shrouded in mist or wisp of clouds with occasional misty rain or torrent will create a surreal ambience. Prepare for a good walk with waterproof tracking shoes. This fort is located about 40 km from Pune city. There's a nominal parking charge of Rs 50. You'll find small food stalls around and within the fort premises. The views from the fort are stunning, and its rich history and architecture are evident. The fort spans a vast area, making it an ideal spot to spend hours with family and friends.Amazing place with rich history and scenic views. The trek is enjoyable, with scenic trails and cool breeze. Don't miss the local snacks at the top perfect after the climb. A must - visit near Pune!

Sinhagad Fort turns absolutely magical during the monsoon. The entire trek is surrounded by lush green hills, misty clouds, and waterfalls along the way - it feels like walking through the clouds! The cool breeze, the smell of wet soil, and the panoramic views from the top make it an unforgettable experience. If you're trekking, start early in the morning to enjoy the foggy views and avoid crowds. Don't miss the famous kanda bhaji (onion fritters), pithla-bhakri, and chaas from the small stalls near the top - they taste heavenly after the climb! Parking can get a bit tricky on weekends, and it can get slippery in places, so wear good shoes. But overall, Sinhagad during monsoon is pure bliss - perfect for nature lovers, trekkers, and photographers.

Nice place to visit for one day. Good for family, even for children. Better to visit in the morning and avoid sundays. Nice trek if you want to else Parking can be done at the top of fort. Not steep or dangerous driving. Can visit even by 2 wheeler. Need to climb stairs aprox 200 after parking. Washrooms available at parking and at the top also. Nice views. There is lot of eateries for small snacks neare stairs and at the top. Small reasturants where you can enjoy home made lunch made by local people. Food Not too expensive. Enjoyable place. You can take your own food also. Better to carry water.

- I visited Sinhagad in November and it was really an awesome experience. - There are PMT buses after every 1 hour from Shaniwarwada to Sinhagad [convenient to take before 1pm]. - Two wheelers also available for a day to ride nearby area. - Make sure to meet the locals, eat the food on Sinhgad and feel the power of Maratha on fort. - Very beautifull and easy fort to climb and convenient for children also.

Great historical placeto visit near Pune. You will get awesome views here. Nearby mountains are superb. I will request everyone who will visit forts that don't throw garbage anywhere. Don't write your names on walls of forts. We should keep our forts clean. Visit forts with your children. Everyone should know about warriors and history. Keep forts clean.

Sinhagad Fort is demotic in the history of the Maratha Empire, featuring the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj . It houses many representations (statues/busts) and even weapons related to them. The surrounding scenery is quite captivating, and the climb (trek) time to the fort offers very beautiful views. Trekking is too here. Visiting during the monsoon is highly recommended as the area is lush green and the weather is pleasant, though it gets very crowded on weekends. At the fort gates, various food items are available, such as roasted corn (bhutta), Vada Pav, Kanda Bhaji (onion fritters), tea, and Maggi (noodles), which delicious. The sunrise and sunset views from the fort are quite spectacular. The cleanliness here is well-maintained, and washroom facilities are also available. Overall, the experience is full of natural beauty and the joy of a wonderful, captivating atmosphere.

Outstanding place to visit for a vertical 5kms trek and climb or by motor-able road. Will have to still take stairs post trek for further explore… Saturday sunday its busy place with lot of footfall… rainy season is best if its open if not landslides. Best time is to reach by 6 am

Good trecking points are there. Apart from Nanaji statue and memorial, not much construction is there. Only the remnants of the exterior of the fort is available. But it is well maintained. Very good ethnic food varieties available inside, provided by locals, though slightly EXPENSIVE. Overall worth going.

Avinash S — Google review
We went to Mahabaleshwar hoping to enjoy the rainy season. Packed all our rain gear, umbrellas, jackets, even plastic covers for bags. But as soon as we reached… the rain just disappeared! Not even a single drop! It was like the rain said, “Okay, my job is done. You guys take care now.” Instead, we were welcomed by thick clouds everywhere. Couldn’t see much ahead while driving – the fog was like “peekaboo!” every few minutes. But honestly, the cloudy weather made the whole place look magical. The valleys, trees, and hills covered in clouds looked straight out of a movie scene. We missed the rain, but the cool weather and peaceful vibes made up for it. Sitting on a hilltop with hot chai and roasted corn in that fog… pure bliss. It felt like the clouds came just to give us a cozy hug. So yeah, Mahabaleshwar didn’t give us rain, but it gave us something better — quiet, calm, and some unforgettable views. Highly recommend going there if you want a break from all the city noise. Just… don’t chase the rain. It’s faster than it looks!

My recent trip to Mahabaleshwar was truly an unforgettable experience and easily one of the most refreshing holidays I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the climate was absolutely perfect — cool, breezy, and soothing, just the way Mahabaleshwar is known for. The pleasant weather itself set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting Table Land, a vast stretch of flat plateau offering breathtaking views and a calm, open atmosphere. Standing there, surrounded by nature and fresh air, felt incredibly peaceful. We also spent time at Mapro Garden, which was vibrant, lively, and filled with the aroma of fresh strawberries. Their products, food court, and greenery added a fun and refreshing touch to the day. Exploring the Mahabaleshwar market was another memorable experience. From local snacks and fresh produce to handicrafts and souvenirs, the market had a charming, traditional vibe that made strolling through it truly enjoyable. The viewpoints were equally captivating. Parsi Point offered stunning valley views that felt almost surreal, while Elephant Head Point stood out with its unique natural rock formation and scenic beauty. Each spot had its own charm and added a different flavor to the trip. Overall, this holiday was the perfect mix of nature, sightseeing, relaxation, and pleasant weather. Every moment felt soothing, refreshing, and memorable. Mahabaleshwar truly gave us an all-in-one holiday experience that I would happily relive anytime. 🌄✨

Visit during monsoon. When we visited there were rains but not heavy downpours. It should be drizzling not heavy rains, if there is heavy rain then the entire place is covered in fog, it would be difficult to drive in the fog in the hill station and also some view points will be closed. Hotels, restaurants and taxi service , bus services are available within Mahabaleshwar and to reach as well multiple bus or cab services available. Weekends will be too crowded, There are 3 temples at the hill top and they are a must visit.

Street food like hot corn, vada pav, and fresh strawberries made the rainy weather even more enjoyable. Local people are warm, polite, and always ready to help. Driving through the winding ghats was thrilling with scenic valley views at every turn. Whether you're a nature lover, a couple looking for peace, or a photographer — this place has something for everyone. The sound of waterfalls, the foggy viewpoints, and the calm vibes offer pure peace of mind. Highly recommended for a monsoon getaway that’s full of nature, flavor, and soulful moments!...✨🎊

Adventure enthusiasts flock to this popular trekking destination with its snake trails, moraine and rocky patches, rolling hills, camping grounds, and cave explorations. This is the highest peak in Karnataka, stands tall at 6330 feet.👍 Named after sage Mullappa swamy, who believed to have mediated in a cave at the peak. Located 20+ KMs from Chikkamagaluru, would need 40+ minutes due to the winding and scenic hilly roads. Make a note to get the Mullayanagiri vehicle pass online in advance to allow the car thru the checkpost as there are limits on the number of vehicles entering in a day. Need to park the vehicle at Seethalayana giri base and avail a local jeep services (Rs.50 per person one way) there. Jeep drops at the Mullayanagiri base / parking lot and from there it is a 20-25 minutes climb through paved stairs. There are around 450+ stairs, not very even, challenging for people with mobility issues. The climb is beautiful, offers great views of Chikkamagaluru valleys, Baba Budangiri hills and Shola forests, grasslands and distant waterfalls There are no restrooms at the peak, carry water, At the base there are many food cart vendors for snacks. No restaurants or ATMs. Weather keeps changing, most of the time mist engulfs blocking the views and offers a different kind of experience. Carry a light jacket, may tend to get colder post monsoon. At the peak/summit, there is Mullappa swamy temple and a milestone mentioning the height. The summit area can be kept clean and neat, on the other side some old buildings, thrash and debris are seen. ☹️ Would be a great place for taking pics and enjoying scenery/nature 👍

Visited this place before local authorities has made booking tickets online. View is great. Morning views are still beautiful. There is a temple at the top. One can easily spend half a day. One has to park their vehicle near Seethalayyana giri and walk or take jeep for next 3km. Even if you take jeep ride, they'll stop around 1.5 km before actual peak. So, it is very much convenient to walk as the path is very good and not much steep. There are some food vendors near the temple and near Seethalayyana giri.
Likhith C — Google review
Great view point. We spent ₹100 at entry, we have to do the booking online only from the website we can do, if you haven’t done you can do at the toll, even if you have network issues they have wifi. Cars ₹100 There are slots, mostly in weekends better book earlier. Bike no charge So u can go by own vehicle or rental or by package too. Own vehicle earlier is allowed till top, now they stop 3km before peak saying its new DC order. Not sure from when and why this came up, but yeah yu can take a jeep from there. Per jeep minimum 6 ppl, per person cost ₹50. In total they charge ₹300 one way, if you are group of less than 6 then also same amount or if yu okay with sharing they u can let two ppl join you. Two way cost avg ₹100 for jeep, which is quiet expensive, and to be honest we can go by our car itself. At top we have small shops, and tower is very bad. They will leave u at entrance from there u have to take 300-350 steps to reach top and there is a temple. Views were so good, climate was chill carry jackets for comfort. Since we went on a weekday it was fully empty.
Swarna S — Google review
Just an amezing place. enjoy the nature beauty from highest point of the hill. you need to buy ticket via online or at the entrance. Vehicle needs to be parked near Temple and from there to mullayanagiri , you need to go with shared Jeep. Its worth exploring it.
Guru P — Google review
We visited Mullayanagiri around 11 AM, and the views were absolutely amazing — refreshing wind, scenic mountains, and a peaceful atmosphere. From the drop point, you need to climb around 500 steps to reach the peak, which is totally worth the effort. There is also a temple at the top that adds a spiritual feel to the experience, and the view from there is just stunning. However, the experience felt a bit commercialized. From Seethalayyanagiri parking, jeeps are the only option to reach the drop point, and they charge ₹200 one way. If bikes or cars were allowed instead of forcing everyone to take the jeep, the visit would be more hassle-free and less commercial. Overall, a beautiful place to visit — great for photos and nature lovers — but the transportation arrangement could be improved.

The ISKCON temple in Bangalore, located in Rajaji Nagar, is a magnificent tribute to Lord Krishna. The temple was built on a 7-acre campus and took 6 years to complete. Designed by Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa, the architecture features a stunning 17-meter gold-plated flag post and 8.5-meter gold Kalash Shikaras. Situated on Hare Krishna Hill, the temple's Neo-Classical style blends modern amenities with traditional design.
ISKCON Temple in Bengaluru is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The best part is the Harinaama Dwara — before entering the main temple, you take 108 steps, and before each step, you chant the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. It feels very pure and peaceful while doing that. Before entering the main temple of Shri Krishna, just take a moment to enjoy the breeze, calmness, and the amazing city view — it feels really soothing. The temple is clean and well managed with cloakrooms, shoe counters, and parking. There’s also a metro station that connects directly to the temple premises, which makes it easy to reach. While exiting, make sure to try the sweets — they’re very tasty and worth it. Overall, a wonderful and divine experience.

The temple is beautiful, calm, and peaceful beyond words. The architecture, the chants, and the positive energy around make it a perfect place to find inner peace. The environment is very well maintained, and the devotees are humble and welcoming. You can feel a sense of calmness the moment you enter. It’s not just a temple—it’s an experience that touches your heart. 💫 Very beautiful and peaceful temple — everyone must visit this place at least once in their life. 🙏🤍😇

It was a truly mesmerising day when I decided to visit the ISKCON temple over the weekend. As I approached the temple, I could feel the spiritual energy enveloping the atmosphere, despite the crowd of devotees that had gathered. The intricate architecture of the white temple stood out beautifully against the blue sky, and the sounds of chanting filled the air, creating a serene yet lively ambience. Inside, the aroma of fresh flowers and incense wafted through the halls, enhancing the sacred experience. People of all ages were engaged in prayer and meditation, their faces reflecting a deep sense of peace and devotion. I found solace in the rhythmic chants and the uplifting energy that pervaded the space. The sense of community among the visitors was palpable, and I felt connected to something much larger than myself. It was a day filled with tranquillity and a profound sense of purity, making me grateful for the opportunity to be there.

Nice place to worship Lord Krishna. Very well connected with metro and Bengaluru buses. In temple, darshan facilities, food & water facilities are good. Overall very good arrangements, cleanliness and nice experience. Only thing is no special feeling. It's like visiting any other temple. Maybe because temple is surrounded by big buildings; so not giving that divine vibes where we tries to connect with God with peace.

I recently visited the ISKCON Temple in Bengaluru, and honestly, it left me feeling peaceful and refreshed in a way I didn’t expect. The moment you walk in, the calmness just hits you. The place is beautifully built, super clean, and has this soothing atmosphere that makes you slow down and breathe a little deeper. The sound of “Hare Krishna” chants playing continuously in the background creates such a positive vibe — it’s something you actually feel, not just hear. The evening aarti was easily the best part of my visit. Watching it in person, with the lights, music, and devotion in the air, felt incredibly grounding and comforting. The whole temple is very well managed, and the volunteers are genuinely kind and helpful — something you really appreciate when the place is this busy. There’s also a prasadam hall, a food court with really tasty sattvic food, and a nice little shop with books and souvenirs. Everything is neatly maintained and adds to the overall experience. If you’re in Bengaluru, I’d say this is definitely a place you shouldn’t miss. Whether you’re going for prayer, peace, or just to see something beautiful, you’ll walk out with a lighter heart and a calmer mind.

This place is serene and calm atmosphere to enlighten the spiritual experience within you. It is well connected with all public transport as it is located in the heart of the city. If you're driving a four wheeler then parking charges of 40 rupees collected. You shall easily spend an hour or three including the shopping of artifacts and other devotional items inside the temple premises. Multiple vaishnavaite deities are present here. Everything is maintained near and clean. An artificial waterfall and a lake add more charm to this place. This place is getting upgraded with more infrastructure as the construction is going on as well.

Lalbagh Botanical Garden in Bangalore is a historic and expansive garden that originated as a private royal garden spanning 40 acres. Initially designed in Mughal style, it was further developed by Tipu Sultan and later expanded by British and Indian horticulturists. The garden is renowned for its support of agriculture, conservation of plant species, and contribution to the advancement of cultivation.
Very nice Lalbagh is an absolute must-visit if you are in Bengaluru. It truly lives up to its name as the 'Lungs of the City.' The variety of trees and plants is staggering, and the layout is perfect for a long, relaxing walk. Highlights: The Glass House: It’s stunning architecture and makes for great photos. The Lake: Very peaceful to sit by, and I spotted quite a few birds. Cleanliness: The park is well-maintained despite being so popular. I recommend going early in the morning to beat the heat and the crowds. It’s a fantastic spot for photography or just disconnecting from the city traffic. Highly recommended!

A Calming Green Oasis in Bengaluru Lalbagh Botanical Garden offers a decent escape from the city hustle. I had an "OK" experience, largely thanks to the wonderfully calm and fresh environment. If you're looking for a spot with natural bird sounds to truly cool down and relax your mind, this place is highly recommended. It's a true "lung space" for Bengaluru. A major plus was the e-cycle ride, which is a fantastic way to cover the vast garden expanse. The rental seemed to have a flexible pricing, as I saw options for a short ride. I did a ride. We also caught the artificial waterfall near the lake, which operates on a fixed schedule. We saw it running from 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM. It adds a nice, serene touch to the lake area when it's on. My one major feeling was a slight lack of a "zoo" or large animal presence (apart from birds), which I missed—it felt more like a purely botanical experience rather than a nature park with diverse wildlife. However, for a botanical garden, all the basic amenities and facilities are well-maintained. Conclusion ; If you are in Bengaluru, it's definitely worth a visit for a peaceful, nature-filled break and a lovely walk or cycle ride.

Recently visited here — it’s a beautiful and refreshing place to connect with nature. The garden is huge, and it’s quite hard to cover the entire area within an hour. You’ll find ancient, massive trees and a wide variety of plant species, making it a paradise for nature lovers. The garden is well-maintained, with benches for sitting, trash bins placed throughout, and washroom and drinking water facilities available inside. There are also food stalls, a fountain area, and a poly house that add to the experience. The entry fee is ₹50 for adults and ₹20 for children. Plastic bottles are not allowed, which helps keep the place clean. I also visited the nursery, though it was closed due to a festive occasion. It’s a great spot for families, couples, or anyone looking for peace amidst greenery. The calm atmosphere and natural beauty truly make you feel one with nature. 🌿🌸

An Absolute Oasis of Tranquility and Beauty! Lalbagh Botanical Garden is more than just a garden; it's the green heart of Bangalore and a true breath of fresh air amidst the city's hustle. This is easily one of the most stunning botanical experiences I've ever had, deserving every one of its five stars. The sheer scale and diversity of the flora are breathtaking. You could spend hours wandering the perfectly manicured lawns and discovering exotic plant species. The iconic Glass House is a magnificent architectural marvel, especially when bathed in sunlight, and the massive Lalbagh Rock offers a fantastic view and a quiet spot for reflection. The maintenance is impeccable—everything is clean, well-labeled, and thoughtfully arranged. Whether you're a serious botanist, a photographer, or just someone looking for a peaceful escape, Lalbagh caters to all. It’s a perfect spot for morning walks, family picnics, or simply relaxing under the shade of ancient trees. Don't miss the flower shows if you time your visit right! Highly, highly recommended.

Lalbagh Botanical Garden is one of those rare places in Bangalore where time slows down and the city noise fades into the background. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by lush greenery, towering trees, and beautifully maintained pathways that make every step feel refreshing. The star attraction, of course, is the iconic Glass House, which looks stunning whether you visit in the quiet mornings or during the flower shows. The variety of plants—from vibrant flowers to rare species—adds so much charm, and you can easily spend hours exploring different corners without even realizing it. What I love most is the peaceful vibe. Whether you're going for a morning walk, photography, or just a break from daily routine, Lalbagh never disappoints. The lake inside the garden is another calming spot, perfect for sitting by the water and watching birds. It can get slightly crowded on weekends, but the garden is big enough to always find a quiet nook for yourself. The entry fee is minimal, and the overall experience feels priceless compared to the serenity you get. Overall, Lalbagh Botanical Garden is a must-visit—beautiful, calming, and truly refreshing. A little green paradise right in the heart of Bangalore.

It was a beautiful experience. The day was 🌞 I went with my family to explore the beauty of this huge botanical garden that has flora species dating back to hundreds of years ago. Enchanting. ❤️😇 We took the ride for 45 mins which is charged ₹100 per person. The guide thoroughly took us to different locations of the botanical garden taking small stops at specific points. Overall it was a nice experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the place. Recommended to family and friends. ✨

One of the prettiest garden I have ever visited. So beautiful, peaceful and huge. Our first option was Cubbon Park due to its ratings but when I visited this instead, I was glad. It's really beautiful! The way everything is maintained there is very pleasant. The whole area around this park is so cool due to the trees in the garden. Very less pollution and lot of things to do😍

Water & Amusement Parks
Wonderla Amusement Park in Bengaluru is a popular destination for thrill-seekers and families alike. The park offers a wide range of attractions, including roller coasters, water rides, and virtual reality experiences. With over 55 rides spread across 33 hectares, visitors can enjoy everything from high-thrill experiences like the Flash Tower and Hurricane to more relaxed options such as Lazy River and Fun Racers.
We visited Wonderla on Diwali, and while the experience was fantastic, be warned: the crowd was very high. The Good: The overall vibe is excellent, and the cleanliness and maintenance across the park are top-notch. The staff deserve a special mention; their response and behavior were very good, and they were professional and polite, even on a busy day. Must-Try Rides & Attractions: The variety of rides is superb! We loved the water section, especially the Rain Dance, Wave Pool, Mammoth, and all the water slides. For thrill-seekers, the Recoil coaster is a masterpiece. My personal favorites were Mission Interstellar and Recoil—they are must-do experiences! (A bonus: they provide videos and photos for some rides to capture the memories.) Important Tips for Visitors: Evening Highlight (Must Wait!): Be sure to stay until the end of the day for the incredible dance and music show! It’s the perfect, energetic finish to a thrilling day. Crowd Warning: I do not recommend visiting on weekends or major holidays like Diwali/Christmas unless you are prepared for extreme queues. Fast Track is Mandatory: If you must visit on a busy day, I strongly recommend getting the Fast Track tickets as they are the only way to avoid ridiculously long waiting times and enjoy all the rides. Food Costs: Be aware that the food and beverages inside the park are definitely on the higher side. Overall, Wonderla offers a fantastic, clean, and fun experience, provided you manage the crowds wisely!

One of the best amusement parks in the country. Some rides are really high on thrill and adrenaline rush, especially their roller coaster- recoil, the twister, maverik etc. You must not miss the newly added adventure ride- Interstellar which is an experience in itself. The giant wheel at the 13th floor gives the best view of the park and the city. The waterpark isn’t great but has some good water slides and rides you can try. For extra fun you can try the rain dance shows, & especially the wave pool with the dj is so much fun. The best part is they hae made a division in the pool with 2 sides, one for family, couple, women; and other for only men. The crew keeps a check that everyone follows the rules properly and behaves. Some things to keep in mind. Some rides can have queues in rush time, but its doable; as the fastrack tickets are double the cost and not worth it as you can still do all rides without it, just make sure you reach before noon and are there till atleast 6pm. Noone specifically checked the costume for waterpark, but carry appropriate material clothes to enjoy the most, or you’ll have t o buy them at 350 bucks. The locker costs 350 rs, with an additional 50 bucks of the magnetic key watch band. There are multiple food joints and options to eat from. You’ll also find souvenir shops. Wait till post the sunset to see the beauty of the park in lights. You can take certain buses plying to and back from the park to city. Overall its a great experience and a must go to atleast once if you are adventurous soul.

Fantastic Experience at Bangalore Amusement Park! I had an absolutely amazing time at Bangalore Amusement Park! The place is beautifully maintained, clean, and filled with thrilling rides for all age groups. From roller coasters to water rides, every attraction was well-managed and safe. The staff were courteous, helpful, and ensured everyone had a great experience. The food court had plenty of delicious options, and the overall ambiance made it a perfect day out with family and friends. The park is vibrant, fun, and definitely worth visiting again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for excitement and entertainment in Bangalore! 🎢🎡🎠

Check offers before Booking! This place is really good for a day outing, don't start from the first ride, watch YouTube videos to see which one you don't wanna miss and be in queue for those in the start. First of all reach the place by 10 am to be aware of what to do, and how to go ahead. Normal queue Wait time is 30-70 minutes on each ride after 11:30. So decide wisely don't waste your time on not so worthy rides. We included three meals, it was a good decision so we didn't waste time deciding, what to eat. My recommendations at least include noon meal, so you can enjoy it and during the evening it will be your wish for what you wanna eat after rides. Take the longest hours, it's hardly the matter of 100-200/- rs but then after dinner also you may be able to do some fun rides if not water rides. Take the locker in advance or one of you may end up just looking after your stuff. Wear water rides approved clothing from the start , so you don't waste time changing clothes again and again. Wear rubber slippers/ crocs, it's easy for you to move around.

I recently went to Wonderla Bengaluru, and honestly, it was an amazing experience! One of the best amusement parks I’ve ever been to. The place is super clean, well maintained, and packed with rides that’ll give you both adrenaline rush and pure fun. The new Mission Interstellar ride totally blew my mind! It’s India’s first space themed ride and the huge screen makes you feel like you’re actually floating in space definitely a must-try. Apart from that, the high thrill rides like Recoil were just insane. The water park section was also great the slides, the wave pool, the lazy river everything was just perfect for cooling off and chilling. The staff were polite and helpful throughout the day, and the locker and changing facilities were neat and clean. I also liked the food options inside decent variety and not too overpriced, which was nice. Overall, I had an absolute blast here! Whether you’re going with friends, family, or your partner, Wonderla guarantees a full day of fun, thrill, and amazing memories. Totally worth it! 🙌

We recently visited *Wonderla Bangalore* with a group of four friends on a **Sunday weekend**, and it was an amazing experience! Since Wonderla was celebrating its **20th anniversary**, they had a special **Buy 2 Get 2 Free offer**, so the crowd was quite full — but the fun was totally worth it! The park is **very clean, green, and peaceful**, with a lot of energy and excitement all around. We enjoyed both **dry rides and water games** — each one gave us a thrill! The **rain dance** and **Rizal Coaster** were especially unforgettable and gave us real goosebumps. There are **lockers available**, and **drinking water** is easily accessible throughout the park, which is really convenient. Coming to **food**, the options are good and available at **reasonable prices**. Just one suggestion — avoid eating and then going for active water rides immediately, as it might cause a bit of discomfort. For **timings**: * Monday to Friday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM * Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM In the **evening**, the **lighting and night atmosphere** make the place even more beautiful. **How to reach:** Reaching Wonderla is easy. The best way is to take the **metro to Challaghatta (last station)**, and from there, you can easily book a **cab or bike**. The route from Challaghatta is smooth and traffic-free, just about **7 km away**. Overall, it’s a **perfect destination to visit with friends or family**, especially in groups — the fun multiplies! If you love adventure, water rides, and vibrant energy, **Wonderla Bangalore is a must-visit!** 🎢💦🎉

This was my 3rd visit but first time with family and kids. Beautiful park, everyone should visit for fun. Weather was supportive so you could enjoy water games. There's new addition to the park - Mission Interstellar. It was mind blowing. Never experienced before. For all games there's 25% of people with Fast track priority passes are sent in. With Halloween passes, all land games can be played even between 7 pm to 10 pm while games for regular passes are closed by 6 pm. Park timings on weekends is 11 am to 7 pm. Everything is fine except Food. Its totally SCAM. If you buy buffet online vs offline, the prices are different. If you buy Buffet lunch at entrance is 419 while online and inside its 500+. Any food like Fried rice or Noodles with non/veg manchurian and large coke combination is 410/- when you can buy Buffet for same price. The quality of food is pathetic. After spending good time, we felt disappointed with food quality with menu options and with exorbitant prices. I have provided same feedback to ground staff to improve food. Hence reduced the overall ratings.

When we were planning a fun trip for our school children on the occasion of Children’s Day, the first place that came to our minds was Wonderla - a place we knew would bring them the most joy. Since our students come from the ashrama and study in a government-aided school, we reached out to Wonderla to request their support in making this day special. The Wonderla management responded with immense kindness. They wholeheartedly accepted our request and made it possible for more than 45 students to enjoy a fully sponsored day at the park. The children got to experience all the dry rides and water games, enjoying every moment with excitement and laughter. The team ensured personal care throughout the day, organised fun games exclusively for our kids, and treated them to delicious food - making the entire experience unforgettable. We, the teachers of Mahila Mandali Vidya Samaste Kannada Primary, extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire Wonderla team for embracing our children with so much love and warmth. The joy, laughter, and memories you created for them will always be cherished. Your generous gesture will forever remain close to our hearts.

Abbey Falls is one of the star attractions in Coorg, known for its stunning silver cascade that plunges about 70 feet below. The journey to the falls takes you through picturesque coffee plantations, setting the stage for the breathtaking sight that awaits. Visitors can also explore other nearby attractions such as Mallalli Falls and Iruppu Falls. For animal enthusiasts, a visit to Dubare Elephant Camp is a must-do experience where trained elephants can be observed and even bathed by visitors.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Abbey Falls in Kodagu (Coorg) is one of those places that truly makes the long walk worth it! To reach the falls, you drive 🚗 through narrow winding roads surrounded by greenery and coffee plantations. There’s a parking area from where you continue on foot — a short but steep walk down with many stairs 🪜. The descent feels refreshing, with the sound of birds and the distant rush of water 💧. At the bottom, the sight of Abbey Falls is mesmerizing 🤩. The waterfall gushes powerfully, and even though there’s often a crowd, the mist and roar of water give you your own peaceful moment. Standing near the railing, feeling the cool spray, is instantly rejuvenating. The atmosphere is cool and calming 🌿, especially in monsoon season, making this a perfect nature escape. Wear comfortable shoes for the staircase climb — every step is worth that stunning view.

I think, it is most the famous waterfall of Coorg. it is located about 8 km from North of Madikeri town in Coorg, is one of the most enchanting waterfalls in Karnataka. Surrounded by lush coffee and spice plantations, the falls offer a refreshing escape into nature’s serenity. The water cascades down from a height of around 70 feet, creating a mesmerizing misty view, especially during the monsoon. Visitors can reach the falls through a short walk along a scenic trail filled with the aroma of coffee and cardamom. The hanging bridge was closed while I visited the falls. it was offers the best view for photography and sightseeing. Visitor Information: Timings: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Entry Fee: Around ₹20 per person Best Time to Visit: July to October for lush greenery and full water flow Facilities: Small parking area, refreshment stalls near the entrance, and restrooms available Tips: Avoid visiting during heavy rains as the paths can get slippery. Early mornings are less crowded for peaceful exploration. Overall, Abbey Falls is a must-visit for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone seeking a peaceful escape amidst Coorg’s misty charm.

Abbey Falls is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Coorg, and after visiting, I can see why! The waterfall is located just a short drive (about 8–10 km) from Madikeri town, surrounded by lush coffee and spice plantations that make the journey as beautiful as the destination itself. Once you reach the parking area, there’s a short walk through a scenic trail lined with tall trees, pepper vines, and cardamom plants. You can hear the sound of gushing water as you get closer — a reminder that nature truly rules this place. The viewpoint offers a spectacular sight of the water cascading down from a height into a rocky gorge below. During the monsoon or right after it, the falls are at their most magnificent — powerful, misty, and surrounded by thick greenery. Though visitors are not allowed to get into the water for safety reasons, the suspension bridge facing the waterfall provides an excellent spot for photos and videos. The area is well maintained, and there are a few small snack stalls and local vendors near the entrance if you want to grab some refreshments. What makes Abbey Falls special is the blend of tranquility and raw power — you can spend time simply taking in the sound of the falls and the crisp, cool air that surrounds it. It’s a great stop if you’re exploring Coorg, especially for nature lovers and photographers. ⭐ Tips: The best time to visit is right after the monsoon (August–October) when the water flow is strong. Wear comfortable shoes, as the path involves a bit of walking and can get slippery. Try to visit early morning or later in the afternoon to avoid crowds.

This waterfall spot is a decent place to visit if you’re looking for a short and relaxing outdoor experience. The area offers ample parking space and walking paths, making it convenient for families and casual visitors. The mini waterfall is the main attraction, it’s small but quite scenic, especially for those who enjoy nature and photography. However, the place can get very crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. There isn’t a proper viewing or waiting area, so everyone tends to stand in one spot to take photos, which can make it difficult to capture a good picture of the waterfall. The surroundings could also use better maintenance and repair work, as some parts look worn out and could be improved for safety and comfort. There are food stalls and small eateries right outside the location, offering snacks and refreshments, a nice touch after walking around. Overall, it’s a good spot for a quick visit or a short family outing, but don’t expect too much if you’re looking for a quiet or adventurous experience. Tips: Visit early in the morning or on weekdays to avoid crowds and get better photos.

Abbey Falls is one of those spots in Coorg that truly captures the essence of nature’s raw beauty. The waterfall is surrounded by dense coffee and spice plantations, and the walk down to the viewpoint is short but scenic. You can hear the roar of the water long before you see it, and when you finally do — it’s a breathtaking sight, especially during or just after the monsoon season. That said, the area around the falls is fenced off for safety, so you can’t get too close to the water. It’s more of a viewpoint experience than an immersive one. The place can get a bit crowded during weekends and holidays, so early morning visits are the best for a peaceful vibe. There’s a small parking area and some local stalls for snacks and coffee. Overall, Abbey Falls is worth a quick stop — not an all-day destination, but definitely a refreshing and photogenic spot to include in your Coorg itinerary.

The beautiful scenery and the charming, albeit small, waterfall make this a lovely spot. While the grills prevent close access, the main issue is the significant overcrowding. We suggest implementing improved organizational and management strategies to enhance the visitor experience.

Mysore Palace, a stunning Indo-Saracenic architectural marvel completed in 1912, boasts a grand durbar hall and hosts weekly illuminations. The palace is famous for the traditional Dasara procession, Jamboo Savari, featuring a decorated elephant carrying the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari during Vijaya Dashami. Palace is absolutely beautiful! It closes at 5:30 PM, so it’s better to visit inside during the day. But if you really want to see the best part, come back in the evening. After 7 PM, the whole palace lights up and it looks magical! The lighting is so nice and gives a completely different vibe. Definitely worth experiencing if you’re in Mysore.

Mysore Palace is truly a sight to behold! The grandeur, artwork, and royal architecture still make it one of the most stunning palaces in India. The interiors are beautifully preserved and showcase the rich heritage of the Wadiyar dynasty — every hall and corridor has a story to tell. However, the exterior does seem to be losing a bit of its charm over the years and could use better maintenance, as some areas appear slightly faded. But once you step inside, the craftsmanship and vibrant detailing easily make up for it. Overall, it’s a must-visit landmark in Mysore — majestic, historic, and perfect for photography and architecture lovers.

The nightlight show is fantastic and worth staying for.The place can get crowded, especially on holidays, but the management handles it well. Parking is available nearby. Highly recommend visiting early morning or evening for the best experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Royal Grandeur at Its Finest! Mysuru Palace is the heart and pride of the city — a magnificent symbol of royal heritage and architectural brilliance. The intricate interiors, stained glass windows, ornate ceilings, and beautifully carved doors leave you in awe at every step. The palace perfectly showcases the rich history and culture of the Wadiyar dynasty. The palace grounds are spacious and beautifully maintained, with helpful guides and clear information boards that make the visit more insightful. The evening illumination is absolutely breathtaking — thousands of lights outlining the palace make it a truly magical sight that shouldn’t be missed. A must-visit for anyone coming to Mysuru — it’s not just a monument, but an experience that captures the royal spirit of Karnataka.

Mysore Palace is undoubtedly a magnificent sight and a must-see for its stunning architecture and royal history. However, it tends to get extremely crowded, especially on weekends, so visiting on weekdays is a better idea. The premises are fairly neat, but cleanliness could definitely be improved. The free audio guide centre was not functional during my visit — it should really be made operational to enhance the visitor experience.

It's very nice place to visit specially in the night to see the lighting. Timing- 10:00 AM to 05:30 PM Place to explore- silver chair, old mirror, king and his family paintings, symmetrical poles, good roof top view, laxminarayan temple, Silk saree etc. Note- you will have to walk inside the palace by submitting your shoes or slippers into the shoes submitting area.

Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, commonly known as Mysuru Zoo, is a well-established and popular zoo located near the palace in Mysore, India. It was established by Sri Chamarajendra Wadiyar Bahadur and is known for its cleanliness, conservation breeding of endangered species, and recreation of natural habitats for captive animals.
We had a wonderful experience visiting Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (Mysore Zoo). It’s one of the best-maintained zoos in India clean, spacious, and beautifully organized. The variety of animals and birds is truly impressive, and the enclosures are thoughtfully designed to give them a natural environment. 🐅🦜 The staff do a great job of maintaining the place and ensuring visitor safety and cleanliness. It’s an educational and enjoyable experience for both kids and adults. A must-visit attraction in Mysore! 🌿✨

visited Mysuru Zoo and really enjoyed the experience. I got to see the tiger, hippo, leopard, cheetah and giraffe, which was the highlight of my visit. All the animals looked healthy and active. The zoo is clean, well maintained and has lots of trees, so walking around felt relaxing. There are benches and water points along the way, which was helpful. The information boards near the animals were also easy to understand. It's a great place to visit with family and kids. Overall, I had a very good time at Mysuru Zoo and would definitely recommend it. Note: eat well before you enter

An absolute wow! Probably the best zoo in the whole country. All the animals are given plenty of space to wander around. So many species of animals, birds... And they even got some rare species, like white peacock, bengal tiger, black swan, etc. The zoo is veryyyy big, so u can easily spend ur whole afternoon here. They have clean restrooms, places for seating everywhere, and that too in a reasonable ticketprice... They also apply stickers on the plastic items u carry inside, in order to ensure no spoiling. Overall, loved it ✨

Mysore zoo has always been great. It is one of the best zoo in the country. It is quite large with a lot of collection of different animals. Although zoo is not the right way to see animals where they are kept in captivity, Mysore zoo has kept the animals enclosures as close to their natural habitat environment as possible. The design of the animal enclosures are quite good and no compromise on the space. The animals also appear well fed and healthy. The zoo is almost always crowded. The zoo is quite large and the entire walk around the zoo is more than 2.6 km. But battery operated carts are available for the elderly and those in need. Plastic is not permitted inside the zoo. They collect ₹10 in case you are taking any plastic inside the zoo. This is refunded if you show the same when you come out of the zoo. There are lots of trash cans inside. Adequate toilets are also available inside. The full trip to the zoo could take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours depending on how fast one can walk. There is a lake with boating facility adjacent to the zoo. If one wishes, a combined ticket to the zoo and lake can be purchased.
ADISHANKAR — Google review
One of the well maintained and the biggest zoo in South India. All the animals and birds looks active, if you visit in the morning soon after the opening time. You can see lots of big trees and resting seats all over the zoo. Trees are properly maintained. Animals are fed on time. We happened to see some doctors checking up with the animal caretakers. The entire zoo holds around 3km of area, so you will be burning up your calories for sure. A must visit place in mysore, if you have kids. Also, you can book your tickets through scanning the QR code shown before the ticket counter. So, the payment can be done through UPI without any hassles. You need not stand in the que for tickets. This is very much appreciative.
Vibes S — Google review
Mysore Zoo is beautifully maintained and easily one of the best zoos in India. The variety of animals is impressive lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, and many rare birds. The enclosures are spacious, and the greenery inside makes walking around very pleasant. You can choose how you want to explore: take the battery operated bogey ride if you want to cover the zoo quickly, or walk if you’d like to really see and experience everything at your own pace. Walking gives you the full feel of the place, but the ride is a good option if you’re short on time or with small kids. Weekdays or mornings are the best time to avoid heavy crowds. Overall, a must visit in Mysore for families, kids, or anyone who enjoys nature and wildlife.

Kodaikanal Lake, an artificial lake dating back to the 19th century, is a picturesque spot featuring a boathouse offering rowboats and pedal boats for visitors to enjoy. The area around the lake offers serene views and natural light, with lush greenery adding to its charm. While staying at nearby accommodations like Sterling Kodai Lake, guests can experience courteous staff and indoor recreational facilities. The location provides a quiet and secluded atmosphere, perfect for relaxation.
This lake is quite vast. Visitors with more energy can enjoy a pedal boat ride, while others can opt for a boat operated by an authorized person. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance. Around the lake, there is a scenic road where people can rent bicycles or enjoy a horse ride in the evening.

I visited this lake and really liked the atmosphere. Boating and cycling were enjoyable, though it was quite crowded during the day. There’s also a market around the lake with souvenirs, food, and local chocolates. But for me, the best part was at night — the place becomes almost empty, and that’s when you can truly enjoy the cool breeze and the beauty of nature.

Kodaikanal Lake is located right in the heart of Kodaikanal and was artificially created in the 19th century. It’s a vast and scenic spot where you can enjoy beautiful views of the entire town. The lake is quite famous for its boating and pedal boating activities, which attract visitors throughout the year. Unfortunately, during our visit, it was raining both days, so we couldn’t enjoy any of these activities — but the misty weather still made the place feel magical. 📍For more details and travel posts, Follow Let’s Travel Hyderabad on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Google Maps.

A Mirror of the Mountains – Kodaikanal Lake, Tamil Nadu If there’s a heart that beats at the center of Kodaikanal, it’s the shimmering Kodaikanal Lake — calm, elegant, and surrounded by misty hills that look like they’ve stepped out of a painting. 🌫️💧 This star-shaped lake was created in 1863 by Sir Vere Henry Levinge, a British collector who wanted to make Kodaikanal a summer retreat. What began as a man-made lake soon turned into one of the most beautiful natural wonders of South India. Over the years, it’s seen everything — British horse carriages, quiet fishermen, giggling tourists, and the golden glow of a thousand sunsets. ☀️✨ Walking around the 5 km lake pathway is an experience in itself — tall eucalyptus trees on one side, the sparkling blue water on the other, and the sweet scent of pine and fresh earth in the breeze. You can ride a bicycle, go boating, or simply sit by the edge and watch the clouds dance in the lake’s reflection. 🚣‍♂️🌤️ Evenings here feel magical — the lights from nearby cafés reflect softly on the water, and the sound of laughter mixes with the gentle ripples. It’s peaceful, romantic, and timeless — a place where you can pause life and just be. Pro Tip: Visit early morning or just before sunset for the best views and light. Try the shikara-style boats or pedal boats for a quiet ride in the mist. And don’t miss a cup of hot chocolate from a lakeside stall! ☕💙 Kodaikanal Lake isn’t just water surrounded by hills — it’s a feeling. A place where time slows, hearts rest, and nature reminds you that beauty doesn’t shout — it whispers. 🌄💫

"Clean, Calm, and Perfect for a Relaxing Getaway!" Cherai Beach is one of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches near Kochi. With golden sands, gentle waves, and a clean shoreline, it's perfect for a relaxing day out.
G G — Google review
What didn’t work well: Parking charged at around ₹30/hour without designated slots or secure fencing. I had to park in mud and struggled to exit—a guard set the fee, but no proper system or shelter. The beach area is tight and congested, especially during evenings. Space to walk, sit, or play is limited. The shoreline has noticeably narrowed—sea erosion seems to have taken over the sand, reducing usable area. Waste and debris are common, especially after high tides. There’s no visible cleaning schedule or waste management system. Few signboards or markers to guide visitors on safe zones, entry points, or amenities. Numerous resorts and restaurants line the edge, but prices are high, making the experience feel more commercial than relaxing. Safety feels uneven—lifeguards are present only at the main beach, leaving parts of the shore less monitored. The narrow access roads are often crowded or uneven, making approach and exit difficult. Positive aspects to highlight: The location is scenic—where backwaters meet the sea; gentle tides often make it suitable for dolphin spotting. Early mornings and off-peak hours offer calm, peaceful views and a quieter stretch to enjoy. A few local vendors sell light bites such as fried banana or chilli—simple and tasty. Suggestions for improvement: Create organized, secure parking with shade or paved surfaces—and consider validating or waiving fees for visitors. Increase frequency of beach cleaning crews and establish designated waste bins to manage both tidal and on-site debris. Install clear signage and maps to guide visitors to access points, seating areas, restrooms, safety zones, and lifeguard-watched areas. Expand the beach footprint or undertake erosion control measures to restore walking and leisure space. Offer affordable lounge spaces or shaded seating for families and groups, separate from high-cost resorts. Consider extending lifeguard coverage to broader areas or offering beach safety warnings during peak hours. Overall recommendation: Cherai Beach has charm and potential, especially for early-morning strolls or a quick getaway. However, the current experience is hampered by parking hassles, limited space, unclear safety measures, and inadequate cleanliness. With basic infrastructure upgrades and better visitor guidance, it could become a much more welcoming destination. od experience.

There’s also horse riding available, and you can get your photos clicked with a professional camera for about ₹100 per big photo. Apart from that, there are small shops, street food stalls, and a few local items to explore. Overall, it’s a good place for a one-time visit and to spend a relaxed day outdoors.

Nayan G — Google review
For those seeking natural beauty and tranquility, Mattupetty Dam in Kerala's Idukki district is a highly recommended destination. Construction of this concrete dam commenced in 1949, just a few years following India's independence. Mattupetty Dam was completed and opened to the public in 1953, within a span of five years. A visit to Mattupetty Dam presents breathtaking views of a serene lake, enveloped by verdant landscapes and mist-shrouded hills. The peaceful ambiance makes it an ideal location for relaxation and immersion in nature. This area is a paradise for nature enthusiasts, offering opportunities for boating and other water-based activities. Pedal boats, speedboats, and rowboats are available, providing an enjoyable experience for families, couples, friends, and adventure seekers alike. However, the heavy traffic in and around the dam can be a source of inconvenience. The area can become quite congested, often resulting in traffic delays. The presence of large buses navigating the single-lane road across the dam can contribute to traffic congestion, particularly during peak seasons. Nevertheless, by venturing a short distance away from the crowded areas, one can discover a peaceful atmosphere, escaping the chaos and fully appreciating the dam's scenic beauty.
Dileep K — Google review
Dam not big in size with free entry and small market for shopping, completed in 1953 for hydroelectricity purposes, is set amid lush mountains and dense foliage of eucalyptus trees. If you're lucky, you can see different wildlife species at Mattupetty Dam such as elephants, bison, deer and birds. You can also visit the nearby Eravikulam National Park or Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary for more wildlife spotting opportunities.
Rohit G — Google review
The dam itself has a narrow road with two way movement of vehicles and tourists + those visiting passing through. The parking lot is prone to puddles of water with light rain. The reservoir (lake) is picturesque, particularly when the mist is descending. There's boating for those who are interested. Is it a must-see? Perhaps a bit underwhelming for many, but you need to pass this place to visit Echo Point and other attractions further away.

We spent several very interesting hours watching the process to give everyone their cup of tea! Firstly there is a film which gives the background history. The set up which is a village of workers and includes hospital, Nursery, school and housing. A job for life ! The tea gardens are all around, miles and miles of small hills covered in tea. It is a very skilful job knowing which leaf to take. We went around the factory seeing the processes involved. The staff showing us fiercely proud. At the end we had a cup of tea of course and just like theme parks the obligatory shop on the way out!

When visiting Fort Kochi in South India, be sure to take in the mesmerizing sight of the Chinese Fishing Nets. These iconic nets, suspended from tall bamboo frames, have been a symbol of Kerala's colonial legacy for over 500 years. They are particularly captivating against the backdrop of the setting sun and are a popular subject for photographs and postcards.
The Chinese fishing nets at Fort Kochi are an iconic sight — giant cantilevers that look beautiful against the backdrop of the sea, especially during sunrise and sunset. Watching the fishermen operate these traditional nets is fascinating, and the whole atmosphere along the waterfront feels vibrant. They even allowed us to help pull the fishing net, which was such a unique and memorable experience. Fresh catches are often sold right there, adding to the charm. A must-visit spot in Fort Kochi for history, culture, and an authentic local vibe.

It is a Must visit place in Kochi. A unique and good experience along the side of the coast. The fisherman will do a lot of fishing on the sea shore. The mechanism is quite simple yet thoughtful. A few places give a demonstration about how it's done, we got a chance to see the entire mechanism because we had joined a bigger group. Lots of variety of fishes are available of various sizes. You can also purchase along the side and get it cooked in your stay if they allow.

Great place for viewing Arabian sea. You can watch the ships entering and leaving channel. Lot of food joints in around the Bay. Fresh seafood restaurants are there

A truly iconic sight in Fort Kochi! The Chinese Fishing Nets are massive, historic cantilevered structures that offer a fascinating glimpse into a unique, centuries-old fishing technique. 🎣 Visiting around sunset is highly recommended for the most beautiful, silhouette photo opportunity ✨. An essential piece of Kochi's history and a great experience 👍.

If you are looking for a sunset backed pic of the Chinese fishing nets, try to reach before 6pm (check local timing for sunset). We unfortunately reached just after sunset but luckily still got some okay pics. There are many shops where you can check out fresh catch and ask for it to be prepared right in front of you. I am sure it will be pricey but should be okay for a one time experience. There is a sunset view point a little ahead of the Chinese fishing nets which you should visit. The ferry is awesome from Marine Drive (High Court Junction) which costs just 40 bucks. AC ferry which is very well maintained

1. 🐟 Chinese Fishing Nets – Iconic Fort Kochi landmark and living heritage monument. 2.📍 Located along the northern shore of Fort Kochi, next to Vasco da Gama Square. 3. 🚶 No entry fee; nets are visible from the public promenade. 4. ⚙️ Watch the fishermen lower and raise nets using wooden beams and stone counterweights. 5.🐠 Observe the catch, usually small fish and crustaceans, sorted after each haul. 6. 🌏 Nets are believed to be a legacy of Chinese explorers from Kublai Khan’s court.

The Chinese fishing nets of Fort Kochi are timeless symbols of Kerala’s maritime legacy—graceful wooden giants that blend history, engineering, and poetry in every tide. These iconic cantilevered nets, locally known as Cheena vala, are believed to have been introduced between 1350 and 1450 AD by Chinese explorers during the Ming dynasty’s treasure voyages. Their arrival coincided with the intense rivalry between Calicut and Cochin, and they became part of Cochin’s strategic and cultural transformation
Mushahid H — Google review
The iconic Chinese fishing nets of Kochi line the Fort Kochi shoreline like giant wooden spiders against the Arabian Sea. Sunset views here are magical—silhouettes, fresh catch auctions, and the salty breeze create pure Kerala nostalgia. Unmissable photo stop—pair with nearby seafood stalls for grilled prawns straight from the catch.

Periyar Lake, also known as Thekkady Lake, is a serene and vast man-made lake located within the Periyar National Park & Wildlife Sanctuary in Kerala. A 1.5-hour boat ride offers splendid views of the surrounding nature and wildlife, including deer, goats, bisons, otters, and various bird species. Visitors are advised to be cautious of mischievous monkeys known for snatching belongings.
Only way to go here by periyar foundation bus, which cost 60/-. Bus will drop you at the lake. Spend some time there and come back with any bus any time before closing with same ticket. Boating cost is 225/per person which ticket can be buy at the lake.

We visited around 11:00 am. First buy a entry ticket at the parking area then wait for the forest bus to pick up and then the journey starts. Once you reach the forest you have to buy boating tickets for ride, if u don't want to ride then you can also visit surrounded areas of the lake by other ways like trekking or walking. We reached late and by the time there was no boat for the ride and the next ride was after one hour so it was not worth the ride. So we take pictures at the entry point of the lake and nearby surrounding areas.

Periyar Boat Safari: A Captivating Wildlife Experience Periyar National Park is home to rich flora and fauna, offering an incredible wildlife experience. This review focuses on the boat safari, which is located inside the National Park. The safari lasts for one and a half hours and provides an amazing opportunity to see wildlife along the lake's banks. Sightings of elephants, deer, and bison are common, making it a unique and thrilling experience. To access the boat safari, I took a bus from the city, where there is excellent paid parking available. This was very convenient for me, as I traveled from Bangalore in my own vehicle. The parking area is spacious and very safe. The ticket counter for the bus, which takes you to the starting point of the boat safari, is located at the end of the parking lot. The bus journey took about half an hour. There are various time slots available for the boat safari, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. I chose the 1:45 PM to 3:15 PM slot. All the staff involved in the management were very helpful and humble, enhancing the overall experience. After finishing the boat ride, the return bus took us back to the same parking lot, and we did not need to buy bus tickets again. I forgot to carry binoculars, but if you want to watch the wildlife closely, it's a must-have. Photography enthusiasts should definitely bring zoom cameras. I visited in October, and the weather was pleasant, making the experience even more enjoyable. Periyar Boat Safari is a must-visit for nature lovers, offering a blend of adventure and serenity.

This lake is located within the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in Thekkady, Kerala, is a stunning destination that perfectly blends natural beauty with a chance to observe wildlife. Nestled among lush forests and mist-covered hills, the lake offers breathtaking scenery that captivates visitors. Boating on Periyar Lake is a must-do experience. While government-operated ferries are available, they can be hard to get due to high demand, but private ferries offer a convenient option. It’s best to book tickets in advance on the official website to ensure availability. If you're lucky, the tranquil atmosphere might allow you to witness wildlife, like elephant families or even a tiger approaching the lake for a drink, making it an unforgettable experience. Even if wildlife sightings don’t happen, the surrounding landscape alone makes the trip worthwhile. Periyar Lake is a must-visit for nature lovers in Kerala!

This lake is inside the national park . The ticket price is 250 each for boat in this park and lake visit. The bus will take you from tickets counter to the park and then the ticket for boat ride. There is cafeteria and complex too. It’s an 1.5 hour boat ride and the way is too beautiful. If you are lucky then you will watch birds and animals there drinking water at the bank of the lake. Also camping and staying available there . We had morning batch boat and the views are too good .

It's a boat ride for 3 hours on Periyar Lake in the Periyar National Park. Upward journey takes 1.5 hrs and downward journey takes 1.5 hrs. You can find some wild animals like sambars, elephants, tigers (if you are lucky enough). You will certainly find the Sambars as they are more in number. We had found 4 cute Cubs but from a long distance, watched them on Binocular. The ticket price is ₹255 which is very reasonable price for 3 hrs ride.

Periyar is the longest river and the river with the largest discharge potential in Kerala.  It is one of the few perennial rivers in the region and provides drinking water for several major towns. The Periyar is of utmost significance to the economy of Kerala. It generates a significant proportion of Kerala's electrical power via the Idukki Dam, Mullaperiyar Dam and flows along a region of industrial and commercial activity. The river also provides water for irrigation and domestic use throughout its course besides supporting a rich fishery.  Due to these reasons, the river has been named the "Lifeline of Kerala". Mullaperiyar Dam is a masonry gravity dam on the Periyar River of Idukki district of Indian state of Kerala. It is situated 150km south east of Kochi and 200km north east of state capital city of Trivandrum. It is located 881 m (2,890 ft) above the sea level, on the Cardamom Hills of the Western Ghats in Thekkady, Idukki District of Kerala, India.

Alappuzha Beach is a popular waterfront destination in Kerala, offering visitors a chance to explore its historic pier and enjoy cruises in quaint houseboats. The area hosts the famous Alappuzha Beach Festival and the Nehru Trophy Boat Race, providing an opportunity to experience vibrant festivals showcasing Kerala's traditions. Additionally, visitors can explore the Revi Karunakaran Museum to delve into the region's cultural heritage.
Alappuzha Beach is a nice place to relax and enjoy the sea view. The shore is clean and the atmosphere is pleasant for an evening walk or to sit and watch the waves. However, the water gets deep quickly, so it is not very safe for playing or going far into the sea. Better to enjoy the view from the shore. Overall, a peaceful spot to spend some time.

The beach has a nice and cool atmosphere, making it a pleasant spot to relax and unwind. The surroundings are calm and peaceful, perfect for spending some leisure time. There are many small shops nearby selling food, ice cream, juices, and snacks, so you’ll never run out of options to munch on. The play areas and leisure spaces are also well-maintained and neatly arranged, making it a good place for families and children. However, there’s a slight fishy smell in beach areas, which can be unpleasant at times. Apart from that, the beach itself is beautiful and offers a refreshing experience overall.

This is one of the most beautiful, serene and less crowded beach I have ever visited. The water is usually quite and it might surprise you with prettiest rainbow in the middle of nowhere as well. We also did a lot of shell hunting and found beautiful sea shells. There are beautiful cafes, small food joints along with the beach. You can visit with your family, friends and your partner and can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere around the beach. Make sure to not litter and be respectful and responsible towards the beach.

Visited at night — the beach was calm, breezy, and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing walk by the waves. However, there’s no proper parking facility, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, a nice spot to unwind! 🌊
