Kanipakam Swayambhu Ganesha Temple is truly divine and spiritually uplifting. The idol is swayambhu (self-manifested), making the darshan very powerful and unique. The temple radiates positivity, peace, and a strong sense of devotion. A must-visit holy place where prayers feel instantly heard and the atmosphere fills you with divine energy… Temple should avoid practices of asking money as true devotion must remain pure and heartfelt.. Be aware of agents outside temple.. money is not everything.. sad part is even though temple was free enough they made us walk up and down the stairs for min 2 kms (even though people were hardly 10 to 15 members) One small request is to organise a special darshan facility for senior citizens and those unable to walk, which will make the experience even more comfortable and inclusive…

Kanipakam Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Temple – History & Experience Located in the serene village of Kanipakam in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district, this temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and is famed for its miraculous origins and divine presence. Beautiful temple and if you prefer to go for abhisehkam then you have to go with dhoti and no shirt.you can get the dhoti sold there for 200 rupees. With a ticket of 750, they allow 2 people to attend the abhishekam. Its a big place and nevr miss to see all the God idols. You also get ladder prasadam there which you need to buy.

Another great spiritual place near Tirupati. I visited the temple during weekend and it took more than 1 hr to get the darshan. It was crowded but ttd team managed it well. Total divine and make sure you don't miss this temple when you are in Tirupati. You get the 150 token inside the premise itself.

Visiting the Jalakandeswarar Temple in Vellore was a peaceful and uplifting experience. The temple structure is very beautiful, with amazing stone carvings and traditional South Indian architecture. The tall gopuram and carved pillars show the fine skill of ancient builders. Inside, Lord Shiva is worshipped as Jalakandeswarar, and having darshan felt truly divine and calming. There is no strict dress code here, but it is best to dress modestly as a mark of respect. The temple complex is large, with a wide area to walk around and admire the surroundings. Inside, there are also small temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Lord Karthikeya, and Goddess Akilandeswari. The temple has a beautiful mandapam, which is used for special rituals and temple programs. We visited on Ekadasi, and there was a lively spiritual atmosphere with sadhus and devotees taking part in prayers and chanting. Though the temple attracts many visitors, the darshan line usually moves quickly and rarely takes more than 30 minutes. The temple also serves Anna Prasadam, which is simple, fresh, and filled with devotion. Overall, Jalakandeswarar Temple is not just a sacred place of worship but also a stunning example of art, faith, and history. It leaves your heart full of peace.

Visited Jalakandeswarar Temple in Vellore yesterday. The gopuram is massive, and the temple has many beautiful brass idols inside, all well-maintained. There’s vehicle parking available, and we were charged ₹50. The temple is located inside Vellore Fort, so you can also explore other nearby spots while visiting. A peaceful and must-visit place!

Beautiful temple in the fort. I saw a lot of marriage photoshoots going on near the Kalyana Mandapam. Amazing stone and carving work in and around the temple. Not too crowded. Entry and exit was smooth. Entry in the fort area will cost you 50₹ for car. Enough parking available. Paid toilets are available. Space for keeping footwear is available too. Free of cost.

This is the only best part of the vellore fort campus. Please do not forget to visit the hall of pillars just after the entrance on the left. They are the marvelous creation of the Vijayanagara architecture. Having a walk in the outer prakaram (circle) is peaceful and spiritual. This place is worthy to visit at least once (especially for the pillars 😍)

Jalakantheshwar Mahadev temple is very ancient and beautiful temple, taken care by Archeological Survey of India, at Vellore Town. Present inside a fort surrounded by pool of water is an ancient marvel. The temple architecture is similar to Dravida type, has a shivling like mahakaleshwar of Ujjain. A must visit in Vellore.

Truly will be a worth tourist place if the maintenance done with good effort. A walk takes more than a hour to go around. But few areas looks like abondanded and not felt safe. No proper parking inside.. car/van are packed in crooked roads itself. I don't understand why maintenance is so poor and destroying the historical monuments slowly.

The worst possible maintenance every possible by ASI I guess. Except the fort wall and the water surrounding it there's nothing in the fort left. Please do not waste your time going around this place unless you would like to take your evening walk.

There is God SHIV's temple in the forte temple maintained beautiful and peaceful but the fort outside from temple maintained poorly and not cleaned water logged at some places or the fort water smells bad....

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) manages many historic sites in Vellore. The main site is the Vellore Fort, which houses the ASI Museum in Badhusha and Begum Mahal. The museum displays statues, hero stones, and exhibits on the Vellore Sepoy Mutiny. Other ASI-protected sites include the Jalakantesvara Temple, Vallimalai Jain Caves, and Arcot monuments. The museum is open 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, closed on Fridays and holidays.

A small museum which is available within the Vellore fort campus itself. Here we can see old statue, photos and images of the first revolution that happens against British. Big dinosaur statue is erected out of the building. For adult the ticket is Rs. 5

Badsha and Begum Mahal (ASI Sculpture shed) The two historic buildings of which one on left side from the entrance is called Begum mahal and the other on the right side is called Badsha mahal. Architecturally these buildings belong to British period. Both are massive buildings with two floors (ground and first). Both buildings are constructed with gigantic pillars and madras tiles roof. The first floor of these two buildings can be reached through the wooden staircase found in between these buildings. At present they are housing the sculptures, Hero stones, inscription slabs, bronze images, potteries, numismatic collection ranging from 8th to 16th century CE. Stone sculptures from surrounding villages are also housed in these buildings (presently these buildings are also called as ASI Sculpture shed.) The spaces outside these buildings are also utilized to exhibit stone Linga, Nandi, architectural stone pillars, sculptures and so on. The sculptures and Hero stones with Tamil inscriptions help us to know about the cultural wealth of the Vellore region.

A museum under the Archeology Survey of India. It's maintained in two buildings and it has a variety of sculptures collected from various places. They are carvings from the time of different dynasties. The sculptures of different incarnations like Lord Vishnu,Shiva,Ganesha and other mythological characters are maintained. It's near to the Jalakandeshwar temple and the Vellore fort. People who visit the temple can visit this place too.

This is a small museum by ASI. There is also a Govt museum on the opposite side to this. People usually tend to skip this one, but this is a must see place in Vellore Fort. There are lot of more than 1000 year old sculptures of Gods & Goddesses made by Chola and Pallava kingdoms here. And importantly, we can also see some history pictures of Vellore Mutiny 1806. Worth spending 30 minutes!

Entry fee 150 Beautiful and peaceful Tample. It is recommended to arrive before 10am if you don't want crowd. Mobile and shoe store are is inside the tample entry area. Remember Photo is restricted inside the tample.

Worth visiting for Lakshmi’s blessings, but skip the ticket. 🙏🏻 It’s a beautiful temple and definitely worth visiting to receive the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. However, I don’t recommend buying the paid ticket — I got the ₹300 one and honestly, it wasn’t worth it. The free visit is more than enough to enjoy the temple. 🪷✨

🌸 Lakshmi Narayani Mata Temple 🌸 I visited this temple recently after many years — it still looks the same as I saw it back in 2012! The place is well maintained, peaceful, and beautiful. Very beautiful temple with huge campus area. Temple is surrounded by trees. Place is very clean and clam. Mobiles are not allowed inside. There are specific slots for free darshan. Otherwise need to pay for darshan. I took Rs. 300 Darshan, in that they will allow to sit in front of God for sometime also they gave Prasad. Restaurant, Parking, Accomodation facilities are available.

This was the best temple I've ever seen, the temple is made up of full gold and if you enter in the temple taking 150rs ticket you can do abisheka for 70kg golden Lakshmi idol, i recommend to take 150rs ticket that is best, and temple is open from 8am for 150rs ticket for free entry from 10am

This ancient temple dedicated to Lord Narasimha is on a hillock and is located in Kathalampet and is near to Kannamangalam in Vellore district. There is no pathway for vehicles and the devotees need to climb up the 100+ stairs to have darshan of the Lord. However, the steps are not steep and can be easily climbed up; further, there is also a roof provided over the steps and holding rods both ways making the climb easy even for the aged. The Lord Narasimha here is in a rare posture as Shanta Narasimha with a very beautiful lion face characterized by peace and serenity and with Lakshmi on his left lap, which is also a unique feature. There is a separate shrine for Yoga Anjaneya on the left, after some 50+ steps. The temple is not crowded on normal days. The staircase is well maintained and though monkeys are spotted on the mountain rocks, they do not seem to disturb the devotees. A must see temple for the Vaishnavites and devotees of Lord Narasimha for enjoying the blissful beauty of the Lord and solitude of the temple. Om Narasimhaya Namah |

Old temple. Must visit temple. Saturday is crowded. Till 12 noon you can visit. In the evening it is opened between 5 to 6 pm only. You can very good Darshan of Sri Lakshmi Narasima swamy in close proximity. Week days crowd is less.

Lovely place... divine feeling

This temple is situated on a small hillock which is about 80 feet high and can be reached by a flight of about 100 steps. As per the inscriptions around the sanctum sanctorum, this is an 8th century temple built by the local chieftain, Rajavarman at the behest of Lord Narasimha who appeared in his dream. The main idol in the sanctum sanctorum is seen in a sitting posture with four hands - two hands hold the conch and the discus, his third hand is on his lap and fourth hand is around the waist of Goddess Lakshmi. The image of the Lord is nearly six feet in height with Goddess Lakshmi is seated on the lap of the Lord. There is a separate shrine for Lord Anjaneya, who is known here as Sri Bala Anjaneya. The idol is one feet high. Bala Anjaneya, who appears like a small child is believed to bestow the boon of parenthood on the childless. The temple also has a separate shrine for Sri Garuda. A small stream flowing in front of the temple and pilgrims have to cross the stream by foot. The temple will be closed in peak monsoons if the river flows in full stream. Narasimha Jayanthi, Vaikunta Ekadasi & Ratha Sapthami are major festivals celebrated here. Thirumanjanam is performed on every Swathi Nakshatram, which is the birth star of Narasimha. Timings: 9 AM to 12 PM and 5 PM to 6:30 PM

A serene experience. A very old temple, not known to many and very close to Vellore. A silent place and can spend a lot of time enjoying the beauty of the surroundings. Better to visit between Aug to Feb....morning to enjoy the coolness.

Om namo narayana! It's a peaceful and mind blowing place while climate supports you! Two days are crowded - Saturday and Sunday. Government rest room available there in bottom of temple's mountain. Monkeys will pick the bag if you are not well aware!!( Not too much monkeys). Since a long while I'm going there! I used to buy some vegetables and fruits in the seller who are just entrance to the temple.( Rates are less than outside market). Enjoy your time with Divine feel!!!

Complete village road and you will surely enjoy the way to the temple and it's also one of the oldest temples. Timing is strictly followed so better be before time so that you don't miss to see God. Few monkeys are there better be careful while carrying things from bottom to the hill top. Steps are built in such a way that even older people can easily use them. Best place to visit for only climate 🌦️ In zoo there is only small animals like Deers , Birds, Peacock. Don't go zoo for exceptation. Also they not allowing for falls also. Small park is here for children play. Overall there is no maintenance,🫠 Parking facility is available.🚗🏍️ But you can see water in river 🌊

Wonderful retreat to a calm and chill place. Dominated by monkey. Has a limited animal display and reprint display. A nice time pass to children as they have functional children park with swings, see saw, slides and a monkey bar. Certainly this place will rejuvenate the mind and will be a better break from daily routine and noisy lifestyle.

• Loved these bits : - bird watching with the pelicans and herons. - the park is very green and whatever animals are present are an eyeful - there's a stream if you go down from the gate, just a bit further. It's a great spot to relax, be with nature, fish and eat. (Please don't litter) Don't miss this! • To be careful : - there are too many monkeys and donkey waiting for food bits. Be careful especially if you have children. - not too many animals - the premises aren't maintained too well. Could be cleaner. Especially the areas around the snakes.

Animals Present: Monkeys, Fox, wolf, Deer, snake, mongoose, rabbit, turtles, crocodiles, etc. Birds Present: Love Birds, peacocks, egret, etc.

It's a small zoo and park, suitable for kids. No big animals like lion, tiger.. only small animals are there like fox, deer, birds, snake, crocs and few more but it needs maintenance. It's ok to visit with family. Rest room is available. Entry fee 30 for adult 19 for kids.

Evening trip place. not so crowded. Best time during monsoon season otherwise water will be very less. Now also water is less. Rocks looks nice. Bit difficult to reach the bottom of waterfall. There is a place to take bath down. Rs. 100 need to pay in the entrance. Better to park vehicle in the second place near the gate of one office. After that road is so bad. No special place for parking roadside need to park. Better don't take food items so many monkeys are roaming there. 2 small shops for snacks and juice available down.

Visited Kaigal Falls 26 October 2025 — the water flow was really heavy and beautiful! The Shivalinga side is not allowed, but the left side is open and perfect for playing in the water. The surroundings are clean and filled with greenery — a great spot to relax and enjoy nature with friends and family. There are small food stalls nearby selling snacks like bajji, bhel puri, tea, and corn, which adds to the fun. However, mobile network is very poor, so it’s better to carry cash for any purchases. Overall, a wonderful weekend getaway for nature lovers — peaceful, refreshing, and full of positive vibes.

Kaigal Falls is located near Mulbagal, on the border of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, about 35 km from Punganur. Perhaps, our assumption was wrong to expect some discounts since we thought we had bought multiple items and hence when requested for some reduction, the person who was managing cash and payment was not SO customer friendly. I am happy for the fact that they have expanded their business and have even added a lot more variety but when it came to customer service or even a bit of politeness, it was the least expected. It was a STRAIGHT NO in the face then to respond to the reduction in a more appropriate way. I then approached an old Uncle ( perhaps the owner) to confirm if it was the final price but HE DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO RESPOND ! Here's the thing : You can say No in a polite way too!!! You are not a BRAND which has the monopoly to put up a FIXED PRICE TAG. However if that is the way you do Business than be it ! I would think before entering the place next time. Rest its all good. PS. CAN WE PLEASE HAVE A RESTROOM FOR GUESTS AND NOT A "SHITTY TOILET" WHEN YOU HAVE AN AUTOMATED HI FI DOOR. IT DOESN'T EVEN MATCH THE STANDARD OF YOUR FIXED PRICE TAG. IT IS JUST A SUGGESTION IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TAKE IT. ELSE BE IT HOW IT IS IF IT DOESN'T BOTHER YOU AND PRETEND LIKE YOU ARE THE ONLY DEALER IN TOWN. A BIT OF COURTESY AND SMILE GOES A LONG WAY AND WOULD ONLY BRING THE SAME CUSTOMER BACK TO YOU. It is a very spiritual and peaceful place. A very good temple to visit with family and friends. The atmosphere is divine and gives a positive energy. Some suggestions for improvement: Currently, the entry fees are accepted only in cash. It would be better if they start accepting UPI or digital payments, as it is convenient for many visitors. Also, they often ask for exact change, which is difficult sometimes. In case of emergencies, it would be good if the management allows devotees to exit easily. For example, one parent’s kid was crying but they did not allow them to leave quickly and insisted on following the full queue. Since they are collecting entry fees, they should provide better services and facilities for devotees. Some of the management staff have a rude attitude, which can be improved to make devotees feel more welcomed. Overall, it is a must-visit spiritual place, but these small improvements can make the experience even better.

Heard about this place a lot so went on 5th oct 25 with family. The parking area was covered but still slushy due to overnight rains. We had to wade through the slush. Though entry fee was rupees 20 but no staff was available hence we entered free. The temple was maintained well. The siva lingams were placed in a orderly manner and pathway was built to access all the lingams. On the biggest lingam honeybees have built their honeycomb. Photo attached. Anyone can keep a lingam in their name after paying rupees 8000 for small one, 35000 for a bigger one and more than a lac for giant size siva lingam. A small pooja will be conducted then a space is allotted for your lingam. Drawback was they do not accept gpay or credit card or debit card only cash. This issue needs to be addressed by the temple authorities. They should not expect devotees to bring this much amount of cash. Infact for using toilet facilities the person collects rupees 5 per head via gpay though the toilet was nasty. The authorities must reign up the contractor. Overall a must visit place but take good amount of cash if you want to keep a lingam there.

Worthy of a one time visit only. Lots of various hindu deities within the complex, beside the 'koti' (meaning crore/ten million) shivlings spread across the place. Serene and peaceful yet this place is by no means a temple for offering prayers. It's clearly made out to be more of a tourist attraction. Starting from paid parking, entry fee of ₹20/- per person, directed visitors in a sequence to confront various hindu deities where the pujari's give you extra attention if one offers money. Better yet, these 'pujaris' coax every visiting individual to 'offer' money for 'blessings'. If one doesn't give/offer money, they grumble and show a care less attitude. Personally dissappointed and not likely to visit this place ever again. I reiterate, this place is more of a tourist attraction, not exactly a place of worship. Accordingly, go mentally prepared when visiting this place.

Temple is very good. Road is also nice to drive if you by Bangalore-Chennai expressway. The only thing which I did not like was at the entrance many transgenders who would demand money from everyone. Other thing is unnecessary forcing people through all the small temples in a queue. Rest all things are very nice and energy there is astonishing. Pujari told there was Brihma temple as well which is second only after Pushkar ji.

I had a wonderful experience visiting Kotilingeshwara Temple with my family. Being surrounded by countless Shiv lingas was truly mesmerizing and made me feel incredibly blessed. The spiritual atmosphere, coupled with the temple’s unique beauty, created memories I’ll cherish forever. Highly recommended for anyone seeking peace and divine blessings!

Kotilingeshwara Temple, located in Kamasandra near Kolar (about 90 km from Bangalore), is a unique and significant spiritual site. The name "Kotilingeshwara" translates to "Lord of a Crore (10 million) Lingas", symbolizing devotion and the massive scale of the temple's spiritual ambition. The main attraction is the 108-foot-tall Shiva Linga, one of the tallest in the world, accompanied by a 35-foot Nandi statue. Surrounding it are over 90 lakh (9 million) small Shivalingas, installed by devotees over the years. According to a priest there, around 10 lakh more need to be installed to reach the goal of 1 crore (10 million) Lingas, which is the temple's namesake and vision. The temple complex also houses shrines for many other deities such as Ganesha, Hanuman, Annapoorneshwari, Vishnu, and others, making it a multi-deity pilgrimage spot. That said, the experience feels over-commercialized. There's a mandatory ₹20 entrance fee, and almost every shrine has people expecting or insisting on donations, even for a simple darshan. Especially at the Annapoorneshwari shrine, visitors are pressured to donate ₹100 or ₹200 in exchange for a packet of vibhuti, which many may find forceful or inappropriate. Overall, it’s a fascinating temple to visit for its scale and symbolism, but be prepared for repeated donation requests and a very money-minded environment.

Recently visited the place early morning from Bangalore, the road is so good for a road trip. The timing of temple opening mentioned on google is wrong, it doesn’t open at 6 am it does at 7:30 am so plan your travel accordingly. There is ample parking space around the temple, footwear stands are available and some local shops around the temple. The entry ticket is Rs 20 per adult, kids below six years have free entry. The temple allows only traditional dress code for men and women, and phones are allowed inside the temple premises. There are many small temples inside of different deities along with all the lingams. There are many temple area is huge and takes at least an hour to visit fully. The views are mesmerising and definitely worth visiting at least once in your lifetime!

Resently visited Parvathamalai in Tiruvanamalai which was amazing . The view points are spectacular , we went from tiruvallur to tiruvanamalai , we stayed in near by temple in tiruvanamalai , we catched the earliest bus to parvathamalai which is 4.30 AM if missed the next bus is nearly at 7 AM . There are nearby shops in Parvathamalai base . we started to climb the mountain at 6AM and we decented at 1 PM . Take some water bottle because the water bottles are to high priced . You can find many shops in the mountain so don't worry about snacks . You will be provided free food in the base temple of parvathamalai . Don't climb the mountain so fast take some breaks because it will make you tired while coming down ( based on my own exprience ) You can go there with your family but going with friends is best because you need to care about your family very much because there are more spots which are very physically challenging . Avoid carrying Heavy bags and take some sticks because there are more monkeys to snatch your belongings . The view point are very heart melting . There are some spots that is amazing which has better view and the breeze makes your hard trek into a pleasurable one . Enjoy the trip and you can have free lunch again in the base which is generally a Sambar rice and in morning you will get a plate of Kanji and Pickle which is good avoid drinking juice in empty stomach which have an chance to make your head to pain . You can reach the mountian through auto or by walk and in afternoon there are plenty of bus flying to thiruvanamalai but the last bus to parvathamalai is some where around 9.45 to 10.50 PM . Have a good journey

Paruvathamalai is one of the expert-level trekking experiences you should visit once in your lifetime.Parking facilities are available for cars, bikes, and vans in the parking lot. Please start trekking at 5am or else start at evening after 4pm to avoid sun and don't carry luggage. Go with a small decathlon bag to carry a small towel and water bottle; that's more than enough. Once you start trekking, be careful with monkeys; so many monkeys are there. Buy water and biscuits. Don't buy bananas due to Monkey. On weekends they arranged shop, from bottom to top, we will see 5 to 6 tent shops, so no problem for water and juice. Once you reach the top, you can buy Pooja items there, but at a bit of an expense. The main point is that Paruvathamalai is the only place 24/7 where you will get free food. That's too good 💯

Loved the experience.its quite hard for beginners.the trail path through kadalady is more challenging especially during evening as it gets really dark downhill.

The trekking was very adventurous & fun😄. Beware of the monkeys 🐒 at the top. When I was climbing the iron ladders🪜, the monkeys 🐒 are started snatching the bag. So please bring a long stick to scare them. Because this is my first time climbing at this hills, I didn't even bring a stick with me while I'm going to the top of the hills. Then i regretted it.

This is a beautiful hill located off Thiruvanamalai. The kadaladi forest has a trail path that leads to the Parvadhamalai Sivan temple. The trek takes about 4-6 hours for an average person. The top view from the forest is really splendid. There is a Sivan temple on the hill top. Best time to go for trekking is during early morning or late evening. Take enough water and energy food like - nuts and fruits. There are also shops that sell water, snacks, butter milk and juices but are slightly expensive given the hilly trek. Best to wear sport shoes and light shorts and tees. A must try trek which is on the outskirts of Chennai. Best choice for one day trips from Chennai.

Must visit for spiritual seekers. Our body, mind and spirit gets naturally healed as we climb and reach the hill top. Good vibration inside temple. Be careful while climbing kadapara parai (the last part). Temple priest is kind enough to give us water and food at night time. Lights are not burning inside the temple, so carry torch. Some youngsters are making unnecessary noise and playing music with high volume even at midnight, this kind of disturbing the environment and vibration. Pls be careful with monkeys. They will snatch anything in plastic bags or water bottles. Better to keep everything inside the bag including water bottles.

Good range of activities but felt unsafe We've been to several parks and facilities that offer rope climbing, zip lines, etc for kids. While Thrill Valley offers a good range of activities at acceptable (though not cheap) prices, I thought basic safety facilities were lacking. And that's why we wouldn't be going back. 1) Most facilities were operated by kids with no adults around. While they were friendly and tried to be helpful, they did not appear to be fully trained or qualified. They also didn't speak any English or Hindi, making basic communication difficult for us. 2) on the rope adventure, the safety wire attached to our younger kid's harness was too short. So the boy operating it just took it off in the middle of an adventure and held it by his hand rather than keeping it secured as it should be. 3) Our younger kid's harness was not tied properly. And came off on its own in the middle of the adventure. Fortunately neither of them slipped from the adventure. 4) there were no helmets provided for the zip lining. Very expensive of entry fees. Not worth for money to this place..

Nice to place to spend few hours at this place which is at Yelagiri. Very neatly maintained. Prices are little high for the stretch/duration of the activities. For example: kids obstacles activity is Rs.250/- which is insane. Just 4-5 mins my 5yr kid completed whole task and he wanted to play one more round for that another 250/- will be charged which is insane. Just take your kid or any family member who has never played these kind of games. For those who has already experienced then this place is not worth. Location is little outskirts of yelagiri. From lake it's around 3-4 Kms. Google map works we well till that place.

A great spot for entire family to spend few hours. There are many rides available for kids. ATV and zipline are popular ones. There are 3 ATVs, one each for 90cc, 200cc and 400cc. Kids take the 90cc and therefore there is a good wait for ATV as well as zipline. We felt prices are slightly on the higher side. They accept credit card payment. Clean drinking water is available near entrance, so are the toilets. Good parking space is available. The approach road is paved with stones and doesn't feel smooth. Staff are courteous.

The prices are reasonable and cleanliness is maintained . Some rides are expensive some are decent . Safety measures are not very good . Restrooms and parking slot also available .

Fantastic place to be with friends and family in yellagiri. It's a place for all age groups. Has a many choices of adventurous games and sports such as arching, shooting, zip line, Burma bridge, trampoline, zorbing ball, quake walk scooters, etc,. Need to buy tickets for each activities starting from min 100 rs each depends on what you choose. Just enjoyed...

Probably the best adventure park in yelagiri..Not very big , but big enough to enjoy for a short while . No need to stop amd ask for directions , as there are enough boards and signs on every road , directing you to the place . There's ATV ride,zip line ( below 80kgs), archery , bottle shooting , few Rope walks etc .

The yelagiri consisting of three major villages athanavur nilavur and mangalam. In the first village this murugan temple is there as usual on a hill top. There is ganapathy anjaneyar temple in the bottom with around 50 steps easily accessible, this temple gives the nice view of the yelagiri hills. Murugan is with two consorts Valli and Deivayani and spear is also there in front of the murugan deity.

Beautiful Temple located near by lake. The steps are easy to climb. Beware of dogs and cows. Although the temple will be closed with gate one can see the God and do prayers which is great advantage of the temple. Drinking water facilities may be installed in temple premises.

I loved this temple. It's in a small hillock. Need to climb around 50 steps. Very calm atmosphere. The view of the mountains from the temple is awesome. The temple is accessible in odd noon time too for tourists. However, Iyer/gurukal will not be available during the odd hours.

It's a simple park and a picnic spot for families. The entry fee is ₹15 for adults, which is reasonable. The park is well-maintained and has a play area for kids and small eateries. Apart from this, there was a small artificial waterfalls and a Musical fountain show after 6pm.

Entry is very affordable (≈ ₹15 for adults, less for kids). Best visited in mornings or evenings when the weather is cool and the crowds are fewer. One of the top features is Punganoor Lake Park — boating (rowboats / pedal boats), walking around the lake, beautiful green surroundings, and plenty of photo ops. A great spot for a relaxed few hours. There are also attractions like Swamimalai Hill (moderate trek, scenic views), Jalagamparai Waterfalls, Herbal Garden, and Fundera Park (bird park / petting zoo type) which are good additions if you have more time. On the downside: during weekends / holidays, parks & lake get crowded. Maintenance & hygiene could be better in some areas (fish tanks, restrooms) and limited parking is something people complain about. Overall, Yelagiri is a lovely choice for a weekend getaway from the city if you want nature, calm, easy hikes, and simple family-fun without too much hustle.

The only thing worth seeing was the water fountain. Besides that, it was average. Needs to be maintained. The views are good. It feels calm and refreshing walking amidst the greens. There's a canteen you can buy stuff there. Restrooms are also available. There's a fountain show inside, which was not so good for the price.

I recently visited Fundera Park in Yelagiri, and it was an unforgettable experience! The place is beautifully maintained, and the best part is how close you can get to the birds. They come and sit on your hands and even on your shoulders while feeding — it feels magical to interact with them so closely. A special mention to MANGAI AKKA, who is like the guardian of all the birds there. You can clearly see how much she cares for them. Most of the birds listen to her, and she makes visitors feel comfortable and safe while handling them. Her guidance really made the experience even better. If you're visiting Yelagiri, Fundera Park is a must-visit. Perfect for families, kids, and anyone who loves animals. Totally worth it!

Fundera Park is a great spot for families and kids! 🐾 It has a wide variety of petting animals, birds, reptiles, and aquatic life. Enjoy ostrich feeding, a scenic camel walk, or an exciting husky walk. Encounter exotic species and fascinating fishes. Other fun activities include the fish spa, train ride, and 7D show — though the 7D experience could be improved. Overall, a fun and memorable visit! 🌿✨ Highly recommend when you are in and around Yelagiri.

They charged 300 per head and it was so good compared to Faunus park located it ECR, Chennai. In fundera they gave extra seed to feed the birds also good service. Not just birds they also have mamels, reptiles and fish.

Not only birds but also variety of animals This is a nice park with plenty of birds and so many variety of animals also there. I saw white tortoise first time there and big big fishes, small colourful fishes, white rats and I liked the macov very much. One parrot liked me and kissed my ear with lot of affection. One should visit with their children and definitely they enjoy a lot, iam sure about that. The rats playing with wheel is simply superb.

Fir Bird lovers its an excellent place. Birds will come and sit on your hand. .. This has 7D movie experience and medium size aquarium too. Nice place to spend 2 or 3 hours. Kids will love this place.

A fun-filled attraction in Yelagiri that’s a definite “don’t miss” for both children and adults. The place offers a pleasant ambience with a variety of exotic parrots and a few other animals rarely seen in everyday life. Visitors can interact with some of the animals under close supervision, making the experience both safe and enjoyable. Feeding the birds in the aviary is particularly fun and can easily take an hour if you have the time. Overall, it’s a delightful experience and truly value for money.

I had a good bit of fun.10 on 10 experience, staff were nice and the animals were all very well taken of with large and comfortable habitats. One of my favourite things to do here was the petting zoo. All the animals which interact with visitors are well trained and vaccinated as well as gentle

It not a lake but a temple pond when we visited the lake was filled with algae completely. There is no boating or any activity in the surroundings. There is an amman temple nearby where one can go and pray. But the lake was not worth visiting

Went there but got only disappointment. No boating service was there..it looked more like a temple pond rather than a lake. The locals around informed that the boating service hasn't started yet. They did guided us to a view point nearby but if you plan for boating ..please check whether they have started the boating service and then go.

This is not a lake infact a small pound near to temple. Do not keep very high hope on this place but it's good to visit if you have free time just enjoy near the pond, visit the temple and buy some from Fruits and vegetables from local vendor. We went early morning around 7-8 AM and we enjoyed the view and spent like 30 minutes and came back.

Just a small request.. please take some food with you probably biscuit or bread and feed the fishes in that lake... You'll love that feeling

Nirudhi lingam is one of the lingam located in the 14 km stretch girivalam path of arunachala mountain in Tiruvannamalai The Lingam It is located in the West and represents the element of air, as well as the god of dissolution, Niruthi. This lingam is thought to aid in the release of attachments and karmic connections. According to the tale, it represents the breakdown of life and its return to an elemental state. As I travelled through Auto, this is the fourth lingam visited by me. The entry arch of the lingam is under construction.

Must visit place when you are doing giri pradakshana. The Nirudhi Lingam is the shrine where Lord Nirudhi the Lord of the cardinal South West direction worshiped Lord Arunachaleswarar and got absolved of his sins.

Entry ticket for vehicles Two wheeler - 20 Four wheeler - 50 Falls entry fee - 10/person It has three temples Lord Vinayagar. Lord Venkateshwara. And finally at the top lord murugar inside the shiva lingam structure at the top of the mountion. Waterfalls was good, but crowded.

The best time to visit is during the monsoon season (September to December), as that’s when the water flow is at its best. Weekends can get a bit crowded, so plan accordingly if you're looking for a more peaceful experience. Overall, it’s a lovely offbeat destination worth checking out if you're around Yelagiri or Tirupathur. Great for nature lovers and those looking to escape the usual touristy spots.

This waterfall is a great spot to enjoy with family and friends, but the maintenance leaves much to be desired. Although there's a restroom available, it's been neglected and hasn't been in use for days. On the bright side, the nearby park is well-maintained and looks lovely. Overall, it's a nice place to visit, but it definitely needs some TLC, especially in the restroom department.

Wonderful place at the foothills of Yelagiri. Waterfalls was having enough water so that all kinds of people can take a shower in it. Need to climb up few steps (~50 to 100) to reach the falls. There is also a beautiful Murugan temple here, with the falls as backdrop. Definitely worth a visit for nature lovers.

The entry is 20rs. A calm waterfall near to the temple. When I went the force was too much so they didn't allow us to go near the waterfall.But we could see it from the top of the temple. That view was Amazing. Inthink it was better not to go near the waterfall. There is nothing special about it. And O don't think it was worth travelling through the small roads to reach the waterfall.

It is a small falls , but a good one. It is easily approachable from Jolarpet, around 18 KMs. Roads are narrow, but it is laid properly, so no problem in reaching this place. Not much of crowded, maintained by Forest department, functions from morning 8AM to 5.30PM. Basic facilities like toilet, small shops are available, good temple Vishnu as well Shiva temple, must to visit and pray. No eatery available, if there is a kid, please take some snacks with you. Food and all you need to come back to either Jolarpet or Thirupatthur, both place are reachable in 18KM. Timing Bus is there from Tiruppatur. We go with our own bike. entry fee is rs:10. Once we entered the place where the water was falling, it was very cold. Initially we hesitated to go under the water as it was very cold, but slowly once we got wet and stood under the water it was very refreshing. The water was falling with a bit of force and hitting our backs like a massage. Couldn't look upwards as the water force would hit our eyes and pain. We Spent a good 1 hour. Overall good experience.

There was no water at the time i visited the falls. Dressing rooms are available. Family friendly

Wonderful and very special place. Hiking a bit up the mountain to a lookout point is allowed but no further than that. It’s highly illegal. There is a volunteer organization that cleans the mountain, you can join them to be able to go higher than what’s allowed for the public. It’s a special feeling hiking up this mountain.

Just I want to inform people about this Giri pradakshina or Giri valayam what ever it may be really please don't go in summer especially in the morning times.tamilnadu is most heated place so that you can't walk with out slippers and there is no toilet facilities and no water facilities everything available only at powrnami days only everything will locked in normal days no footpath also for pilgrims who want to walk no more shed and shelter the lodging and hotels are charged by person count they'll charge 3to 4 hundred per person only two persons will allow in one room if family of four persons you will take two rooms that is also very worst in cleaning 🧹🧹 toilet in room also very worst.

It's a nice place to visit. Summer I will not recommend. You can visit other times. 14 km Girivalam ( walking around the mountain) is a ritual here , that you can do any time. Please choose good hotels for staying. Before you taking auto, or car service ask the rate before ride. Thiruvannamalai people are friendly. Arunacahala mountain, & ramana maharshi ashram is an attraction.

Lord Siva blesses his devotees as AGNI Lingam here. A must watch temple in the life time. Excellent temple to do worship and meditation. Minimum 2 hours required to watch main temple and premises. On Rudrabhishekam ticket, you can sat and watch the Abhishek rituals at the garbha stalam. You can feel the heat due to Agni Lingam presence. At premises, Patala Lingam is the must watch. Here Ramana Maharshi did the rigarus Tapasya.

Arunachala is a very big temple of Lord Shiva .It is very famous on Full moon Day (Pournami) Giri pradakshna is done by the piligrims who visit the temple and it is about 14 kms (round the hill, giri pradakshna) .The temple's Architecture is amazing.

We have visited here recently. Even though we've visited other Jain temples hundreds of times before, the first time in our life one temple authority blocked us because we were wearing Black-jackets and Black-Tshirts. We were unaware of this No-Black rule. So we removed black colored clothes and entered the place. There are plenty of parking areas for the vehicles Once we walked and reached the temple, we could see the beautiful jain temple. Along with marbles, they also beautifully used plenty of glass decorations. While we visited many of the areas were still under construction in the outdoors. Also many flex-boards were fixed just in front of the temple, so those flex boards were ruining the beauty of the temple.

A beautiful temple for jains and Hindus. Huge number of small temples of Durga/Shakthi maata inside the temple building. Beautiful glass interiors. Feels great to sit and meditate. The dhoop sticks and other puja items for sale are too God. The most impressive attraction during mu visit was the lotus 🪷 pond. At least five colos of full-blown flowers are joy to eyes. The pond is small but plenty of lotus makes the ouertside special. There is a small garden is there , but closed most of time. The entire premise is getting a lot of additional constructions. I am very sure the temple will be eve more attractive in coming days and months. Jai maa Durga.🙏🙏🙏

I have visited this temple with my family and we really had a great time being there. Location is great as it’s just around 1 km from Chennai highway but quite a big temple. It’s not complete done yet in terms of its construction but you can still visit to spend time spiritual time with family. 1. Good parking space for cars 2. Avoid wearing any black clothes or carrying any black items as they are not allowed even belts 3. Road is in great condition

Newly built jain temple that houses lordess padvati idol. Well connected and situated off Chennai Bangalore Highway near Krishnagiri. Avoid wearing black dress. Recommended stop over.

Good temple as far as cleanliness is considered. Very nice idols and also free lunch for all the devotees. Please keep in mind nothing of black color is allowed in the temple (not even watch strap) and also women have to go in decent clothing suit, saree etc. no frock dress etc allowed. The only concern I have is the name as it has nothing to do with real shaktipeeth.

Surreal, Serene and Self realisation moments. The temple land itself is spread across acres and houses a number of temples. The main deities are Parshwanath bhagwan and Padmavathi devi. There are various other temples. There is a gaushala also and bhojanshala. When inside the temple the eyes of Parshwanth bhagwan attracts you to a point where you completely merge into them and become closer with self!!

Powerful hanuman temple where you buy coconut for 100 rupees and have to give inside for archanai. Once you receive it, do 11 rounds around and deposit back. All your wishes will come true. They give you a number too with a receipt and which you can come back after 90days once your prayers are answered. They will give you back the coconut and which you use for cooking. It Also has a Nandi which is believed to be growing. Beautiful venkatawewara sanidhanam is also there. Next to this temple, there is sani bagawan temple too. Do not miss that .

This Hanuman temple is very close to Krishnagiri Bangalore highway. We went on a Saturday and it was a decent crowd for the darshan. This is Jagrut devasthan and it is believed that your wish will be answered. Lot of devotees perform a ritual to fulfil the wish. The coconut is offered to Hanuman and the devotee completes 11 pradakshina holding the same coconut chanting Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram. Once the pradakshina completes the coconut is kept in the temple. If your wish is completed you have to visit temple and if it's within 3 months you can get the same coconut by giving the token you get when you first buy the coconut. The temple is super clean and they offer the prasadam. Parking is on the road but you can easily get a place.

This is an ancient Temple, we used to visit more than 40 years and my kids are young we used go there as a picnic spot and were played on the rocks. Now the temple is develped well and so many crowd and restrictions to visit.

We went to this above resort for just relaxation but it was absolutely awful experience.. Just want to share here if management can consider it will be great Rooms: we opted for a wooden tree house. Room was quite good in looking but the maintenance and service was very poor. The fun was very slow running and they provide a table fan, the sound of table fan could undoubtedly beat the helicopter sound. Then there is a led small light in the ac which can not turn off it will show directly to your face.. just imagine how could we sleep peacefully that night one of the horrible experience Food- Definitely the management should focus on the restaurant because none of the items were good in taste.. Service- From the beginning of the booking itself service is not good.. The lady who spoke over call for reservation is very irresponsible and she didn’t provide any interest to take the booking.. The restaurant people also not good.. For evening snack they asked us what do u required then we discussed and said onion bajji but he provide nuggets then why the hell he suppose to ask?? Plz improve these suggestions and provide better service

The best place to spend a weekend with your family and friends. The food is great, they have large set of activities and cool swimming pool. Their Suite room was excellent and we had a great time. The only thing is they if u go Little late to the food, most of items were gone in the buffet. They need to plan based how many guests they have accommodated so this can be better. Other wise it's was great for weekend spend.

All staff members were so friendly. Food was good 😋. We had great time at C S Grand Still the price for room stay is too high 😕. We thought of booking the rooms.

Adventure games are soo good and I liked it compared to team bonding games. Food is also good. But need to provide guidance for persons while doing adventure games for the first time.

We recently visited CS Grand resort from Chennai and stayed there for a night. We had a very pleasant experience. The environment is serene, peaceful and pollution free. The staff are very friendly and courteous. They have a lot of adventure activities such as zip lining, hammocks, rain dance, net cricket, indoor games, bullock cart ride and banquet hall. The food is simple and tasty. Rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated. The swimming pool is kid friendly, 4 feet in depth and is clean. They also have dormitories which can accommodate 20-25 members. It is certainly a welcome change away from busy city life. So if you’re looking for a weekend outing with your families, friends or an official team outing, CS grand will definitely offer what you’re looking for and much more! A goddess kamashi located 16 feet above ground level is one of the spl and respect for goddess showns in this place... We would admire while watching the art of temple kopuram...

It is a comparatively a lesser known temple but a rare temple where the Ambal sannidhi is placed higher than Lord Shiva's sannidhi. While millions of devotees are going around Lord Shiva during every Pradosham, in this temple, Lord Shiva goes around the Ambal on that day. A must visit temple for all the Hindus.

One of the oldest and historically significant temples, the Chenraya Perumal Temple, is a Hindu temple located in the town of Adhiyaman Kottai, 7 km from Dharmapuri on the Salem road. Dedicated to Vishnu, it is believed to have been constructed by the Hoysala and Vijayanagar kings, with the most prominent being Krishnadevaraya. Many buses are available from Dharmapuri town to Adhiyaman Kottai, and the temple is just 0.5 km from the Adhiyaman Kottai bus stop…! The temple is maintained neatly and is a good place for studying and preparing for competitive exams without any disturbances..!!

Calm and serene place. We felt peaceful visiting this place. It is maintained by ASI and they are doing a good job in that.

CHENNARAYA PERUMAL TEMPLE - Athiyamaan Kottai – Dharmapuri – Tamilnadu. Chennamma Naicker a cowherd by profession, who lived during the period of King Krishna Deva Raya of the Vijayanagara dynasty, was returning home one day after gracing his cows. He found one cow missing and on searching for the same he found the cow, and to his utter astonishment, the cow was feeding a child with milk from its udder. The cow which had not delivered a calf till date, feeding milk to a child was a strange sight, and he presumed it could be only a form of divine intervention. The boy summoned Chennamma Naicker and gave him Darshan as Lord Maha Vishnu.(Perumal). The Lord told Chennamma that he wished to stay in the hills and asked Chennamma to build a Temple for him. As lord Mahavishnu came to his Devotee, he is known as Chendru(Devotee) Aiya(Lord), which got corrupted to Chenraya Perumal. The Temple was in existence pre Hoysala and Vijayanagara Kingdoms. It is in a place called Athiyamaan Kottai(Fort built by King Athiyamaan) today. However, the stone structure seems to have been built by the Hoysala’s around the 13th Century. Later it passed on to the Vijayanagara kingdom. King Krishna Deva Raya seems to have visited the Temple. The temple has a Mukhadwaram without a Gopuram(Tower), which leads into a rectangular courtyard. On entrance is the Balipeetham, Dhwaja Sthambam, and a small sanctum for Garuda facing Lord Mahavishnu. In the courtyard is the main temple consisting of the Mukhamandapam, Ardhamandapam & the Garbhagriha which has a Vimana. On the vimana is an erotic scene as found in Khajuraho. The presiding deity is Lord Mahavishnu with his consorts Shridevi & Bhudevi. The images are of a size of 4 to 5 feet. The Mukhmandapam is an art galore of painting naturally died on the ceiling, depicting the lores of Mahabharata, Ramayana and Lord Mahavishnu showing his Vishwaroopam, with the entire living and nonliving etched on his body signifying the preserver of Life forms. The paintings are also highlighted in Kannada script. The temple came into the influence of King Athiyamaan Neduman Anji. Athiyamaan must have been a great King, whose annals are lost in history books and needs much more attention. The King ruled from a place called Thagadoor, which is the modern day Dharmapuri in Tamilnadu, but his residence was in Adhiyamaan Fort about 8 Kms from Dharmapuri. He was one of the 7 greatest Donors amongst the dynasties of Tamilnadu. The Athiyamaan dynasty ruled from Thagadoor atleast from the 3rd Century CE. The dynasty is also known as “Satyaputra’s”, the Clan of Truth. Rock inscriptions of the Sangam period, The Ashoka Edicts, the inscriptions of Jambai, modern day Tirukoilur mention about their sovereignty starting from 1st century CE.
