Alot to explore at this market. It's not as big as I thought it would be, and pretty much everyone sells the same thing. A tip - always negotiate on the price never settle on the price. Or you can always go to someone else.

Didn’t expect to find such a spacious and well-stocked oriental market in this area. Feels like a real bazaar, with restaurants, bakeries, and shops representing various cultures from the Middle East and beyond. If it were closer to the border, it could easily serve people from both sides thanks to its size and variety. A good spot for authentic ingredients and street-style food.

It wasn’t worth my visit, I went there from Spain and the prices were extremely expensive which I didn’t expect! But you can easily spend the day there and they have a variety of options and shops to go to.

Fantastic place to see when in the Netherlands. Food, clothes, furniture, whatever you are looking for you find here. I must warn you that the prices are reasonable but not like dirt-cheap. Clean toilets, a mosque for men and women is the icing on the cake. Plenty of paid parking too

A must-see if you are interested in local history! Our guide, Mirjam, did an excellent job of explaining what life was like for the residents during the Nazi Occupation. Much more personal than the Anne Frank Museum. We visited both, but if I only had time for one, I would recommend the Ten Boom Museum. Truly an eye opening experience. Highly recommended!

We visited the ten Boom for the 2:00 pm tour in English led by Christa. It was a heart-felt account of what happened during WWII in this house. I had heard Corrie speak in the US when I was a child and she left an indelible mark in my memories and it was incredibly special to see this house and “The Hiding Place”. It is amazing what the tenBooms and many other Dutch people did to save lives and defy the Nazis. A part of history we, as human beings, should NOT forget. We were amazed at just how central the house was and yet they were able to do what they did. The tour was by donation and a box in the gift shop at the end of the tour. Make sure and book the tour on line before you visit!

Our visit to the Ten Boom Museum did NOT disappoint! The tour guide, Maarten was friendly, knowledgeable, and surprised me with how quickly he could answer our questions. The lovely lady behind the cash was also so sweet. I LOVED my time there and so did my husband and 21 yr old daughter. Thank you very much!

We booked tickets months in advance which is highly recommended. The tour is very informative and you get to see the house that has been converted into a museum. The history and the story behind it was an amazing experience to learn.

We totally loved our visit to Corrie ten Boon's house. Our guide was personable and informative. He knew the history well, and clearly had a genuine love and affection for the Ten Boon family. He warmly told their story of personal courage and of being betrayed with the backdrop of their Christian faith. I recommend everyone to visit!

Beautiful old church in the middle of one of the greatest city squares in the world. We spent a wonderful hour touring the church and listening to the organ being played. Both Handel and Mozart played on that same organ. The ladies in the ticket office/gift shop were incredibly kind and helpful. There are plenty of places on the square to grab a drink or a meal, all with amazing views of the church. Such a pleasant, relaxing place.

What an incredible sight to see! The history of the church is amazing. The floors are actually tombs with the black stone, so old it's worn. The metallic bird is from the 1400s. The organ was played my Mozart & Handel. The statue in the corner is also from the 1400s. It was originally part of the exterior, you can't really see how the weather had eroded over centuries.

An incredible historic church to visit! The brochure was very good to read as we explored the church that dates back 500 years. The organ, with its perfectly maintained 5068 pipes is a must see (Mozart played it as a 10 year old). We wished there was a concert scheduled while here in Haarlem but unfortunately not. The 1434 altar and the choir screen are incredible! There is a 4 euro entrance fee. We have no problem paying such a fee to enter a church. Churches are museums! There are toilets too!

The St. Bavo Church in Haarlem, also known as the Grote Kerk, has a long and fascinating history. It was built on the site of older churches, with construction of the current Gothic-style building starting around 1370 and finishing by 1520. It replaced a smaller Romanesque church that had become too small and had been damaged by fire. The church was originally a Catholic cathedral, dedicated to Saint Bavo, a nobleman from the 7th century who later became a monk. It was one of the most important religious buildings in the area. Beautiful church and the organ inside was amazing - unfortunately my experience was marred by a prejudiced interaction with one of the attendants in the shop (where you pay to get in). She questioned my decision for an English pamphlet and basically stated that because I look Indian physically - that I couldn’t possibly speak English even though our whole conversation took place in English. Her exact words were “are you sure?” When I asked her what language she thought I spoke, she looked shocked I talked back and blurted out “Italian”. Like be for real, no one would think I was Italian. Maybe she felt emboldened because I was by myself but it took away from the whole experience and I did not observe her saying this to anyone else.

Beautiful cathedral that's towering above the old town. Highly decorated, with amazing high stained glass windows. Definitely worth taking a peak, apart from the windmill, when you are in Haarlem.

This is a great little tour, and definitely worth the 1hr and minimal entry fee. Our guide was excellent, and we learned heaps about the history and technical workings of the windmill. Views are great from the top too!

What an interesting tour with guides who do an excellent job explaining history, mechanics and engineering in an interesting manner. Our guide Jan even went above and beyond to give me insight on my Dutch last name. I can’t wait to do more learning on my own about the Dutch after this experience. This is a must-do when in Haarlem!

This place was a highlight of our trip to the Netherlands. Great exhibits with models of windmill components, and excellent your guide, good view, and of course the windmill itself. (BTW it's a recreation of the original that burned down in 1932)

It looks dinky from the outside and I wondered if it was truly worth visiting. But it ended up being my favorite thing I did on my entire trip to the Netherlands. The tour is long, with a well-informed guide, extremely informative and hands-on. It’s a working mill that actually mills flour when the wind allows it.

Amazing museum, absolutely worth it! Very informative and very interesting, you can see how the mill works and all the techniques that are used to run it. The mill is run by volunteers who are very welcoming and ready to share their knowledge with you.

Frans Hal Museum located in Haarlem, walk around 20 mins from Haarlem train station. Entry fee is 17.50 euro and it's free for Museumkaart holder. Included audio audio tour. ** This ticket including entry fee to another one at the market (600 meters away) , have to use in same day purchase but we didn't have enough time for both of them. No need to book in advance. Free locker to use, not too big one so better for not too big bag or small belongings. It's a small art museum , mostly from Frans Hal and those time that's relatively involved. Dutch golden age portraits. In the big hall has small corner that you can dress up to old time costume, fun to do. My favorite part is the doll house. It's so tiny but detailed and nicely present. Fun to look at those little miniature. Not too big museum, only one floor. Well organized route to walk, easy to follow and not miss anything. Museum building itself also has interesting history. In the middle of the museum is inner garden. Nice and relaxing to sit there. Also has museum gift shop to visit. Museum cafe is open from outside, welcome for non museum visitors.

There is a very interesting museum worth visiting for any age visitors. You can take the audio guide and listen to the building’s story in addition to the Hals lifetime facts and of course histories of the paintings. For the young visitors (adults could be also surprised) it can be interesting to read Dutch proverbs and their meanings, to se the Doll’s house and some funny “delft’s like” dishes. Inner garden is the best place to have a quick rest after the exposition (NB: the door to the garden looks like be automatic but you have to press the button on your left).

A good museum overall, but its main drawback is that there aren’t that many works by Frans Hals. Most of them are placed near the end of the exhibition, by which point you’re likely already a bit overwhelmed, and unfortunately, they’re not his most interesting pieces either. That said, the museum is well-organized and features many impressive paintings.

Loved this museum. I had a very enjoyable time here and enjoyed the story of Frans Hals very much. I wasn’t that aware of the artist but after this visit I feel I know quite some new things. The artworks on display are very beautiful and definitely worth the visit. There’s other artists as well beside Frans Hals and those are definitely worth it too. I stayed here for about 2 and a half hours and could have definitely stayed longer but due to time constraints I had to cut my visit short and rush the last few rooms. Nonetheless, this is definitely a worthwhile experience and highly recommended.

We came here for their main attraction - the robot that brings food to the tables. Strangely the personnel never sent food to our table on the robot and when we kindly asked on two occasions (and we ordered food/drinks twice), they said it’s too busy. Note: only 50% of the tables were occupied and the robot was being sent to other tables. Food bland and expensive, staff uncaring and rude. The cheesecake had no topping and didn’t taste fresh at all, ordered a cup of tea, only half of the cup was filled with warm water (I paid for full cup though). Will not return.

I visited Tiki Bad Binnen and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The swimming area seemed to be mostly designed for children. The slides looked fun, but there were long waiting lines everywhere. It felt very crowded, and there was not much organization or supervision. This made the experience stressful instead of relaxing. The changing rooms were too small, with no proper locks on the doors and it wasn’t clear how the door system worked. It was very uncomfortable, especially for families or people needing privacy. The floors in the changing area were also quite dirty, which is not acceptable at all. Usually, for places that charge money for everything like entrance, parking, and more, you expect better service, more cleanliness, and a safer environment. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and helps improve the experience for future guests. With better organization, maintenance, and customer care, this could become a much more enjoyable place for everyone.

Tikibad Duinrell is a fantastic water park! The wave machine and fast paced flumes deliver non stop thrills, while the lazy river offers a relaxing float. There’s so much to do!! keeping all ages entertained including my 5 year old. Open late, it gives plenty of time to enjoy every slide and pool. The on site food options are convenient and tasty, perfect for refueling. With a vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff, Tikibad Duinrell is a must visit for a fun filled day props to the life guard (didn’t catch his name) for an excellent insight to some of the best slides.

The inside waterpark is amazing. A large variety of slides with some of the most unique designs I have ever seen. Also some smaller rides for kids under 120cm and a kids area. My favourite slide was the cycloon although I would recommend putting your hands behind your head when going down as you can sometimes bang your head on the funnel part of the slide. The queues were also very small apart from on one of the days we went. Barely any queues for some massive slides. The height restrictions are a bit extreme with people having to be over 150cm to go on some of the more intense slides yet only 120cm to go on cycloon which is the fastest slide in the park and in my opinion the scariest. The sessions are 2 hours and if you are quick you can get on every slide in that time which is very good. Overall, I would say the waterpark is definitely worth a visit as it is one of the best I have ever been to and it has something for everyone.

So much fun to be had and lots for all different ages. Some slides were super fast! There were not long queues apart from the Moonlight, Starlight and Triton but they were the most fun with double rings! Clean facilities and no charge for locker which is always nice. We had 2 tiki pool tickets during our 3 night stay at Duinrell.

We had a great time in the Tikibad. We had a 4 hour time slot which was enough time for us since we only used the indoor facilities. Plenty of slides and small pools to keep big and small kids entertained. I would recommend you bring your own hairdryer as they only have hand dryers instead. It was very odd standing under these trying to dry my hair. Some of the changing rooms didn't have enough lighting. I had to use my mobile phone to light the first cubicle I was in when getting changed. We did feel there were not enough life guards around but netheless all went well.

In the words of our kids "the best pool in the world". What I'm personally impressed with, is the design of the place. On a relatively small space, there are many slides and different attractions, which sometimes makes it chaotic but it's definitely fun and has a great deal to offer. We have been there several times and will definitely come back again. The outdoor attraction park is also fantastic!

First of all, you can only buy tickets online. We had a 4 hour slot that was pretty good but they lack space in the wardrobe which causes chaos and massive lack of shower capacity, so most people don’t shower. The water feels dirty, rows before the slides are long and a lot of the tubes that are used in the slides and water rides are broken or missing. Impossible to get a sunbed of chair because they are taken by towels. If a car has one bad wheel it doesn’t drive comfortably.

Museum VoorlinMuseum Voorlinden is a beautiful and well-curated modern art museum, worth visiting if you are in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful, which made the experience smooth and pleasant. The artworks are all special in their own way, and each room offers something different. A standout for us was the marshmallow house — playful and unexpected, it really stood out as a highlight. There are a few practical things to note. You are not allowed to take even a water bottle inside, so plan accordingly. Also, the toilets are located outside the main building, which means you have to walk a bit to reach them. The pool is very famous yes, but if u go there just for that I would say it’s not worth it. But there are so much more to see. The environment surrounded is just so good to be true. Highly recommended even if just for the view outside. And the museum inside itself must be one of the most beautiful museum I have ever seen.

It's a very enjoyable place. Kids can enjoy it too. But we loved the cafe right next to it. The forest where the museum is located was wonderful. The landscaping was beautiful. You can also take a walk around the area.

I admit the artworks worth a visit however I have to be honest the experience was not good for a 22 euro. a) In that "sweet Memories"... everyone was asked to take off shoes, understandable though still a bit strange. Maybe I got bad luck in that group someone had unbearable stench filled the whole small candy room. At least for me that was zero sweet but a completely disgusting memories. b) It's normal and common sense not to touch the artwork but arguable the distance. I was struggling from the warning: "keep the distance"... I don't see it's normal for a museum to forbid visitors to look closely for details. Meanwhile to mention there is no clear sign at least for the "large-mini copied chairs". As a well known museum, you are not doing properly in leveraging the communication towards ur visitors between: "don't touch", "keep distance" and "look closely". If u believe signs break the artworks and atmosphere, then u should do it professionally in a different way. Good luck with your visit and hope all of u will have a Sweet Memories there... 😂 For me the disgusting memories + a strange "keep distance" warning made a very unpleasant experience for only 2 stars.

Museum Voorlinden is a beautiful estate with a contemporary art gallery. Their permanent collection is excellent and the seasonal collections are usually also very good. Besides the museum the estate gardens are also worth a visit and they are completely free of charge!

A big nice place with lots of rides to hangout for kids. Well enjoyed by adults also, this place gives you an option to stay overnight and there are water pools to enjoy in summers which are at extra cost. The place is well connected with public transport. The place needs slightly more attention towards hygiene. Must visit.

A nice theme park with a variety of rides to suit all ages. Also, the park has a water park inside it which is what makes it unique. The park itself is not too big and queues are not too long either. A day inside is usually sufficient.

It’s a nice place for children to spend a full day, with lots of attractions and also a water park. You can buy separate tickets for the attractions or the water park, or a combined ticket. I bought the combined tickets. We spent the day from morning until 5:00 in the attractions, then went to the water park. The water park has both indoor and outdoor options, but the indoor one is much more fun. The only downside is the price—I think it’s a bit too high. I paid around €39 per person.

What a cracking day!!! Had fun from start to finish the guy operating the pirate ship was fantastic and went the extra mile. Very clean park not to busy food was ok prices were fine. 9.5/10. My only criticism and again it’s small is the toilets all close early even when the park is very busy.

We went on a Sunday around 4.30pm for a indoor experience and it was amazing, we've some much fun! Easy to access by bus. We'll come back for a full experience!!

We have came to duinrell on a number of occasions and every single time it reaches our expectations if not even higher and we will be back for the 6th time in the near future! Duinrell has a fantastic theme park which is suitable for all ages with a variety of different levels of thrill. The tiki bad waterpark is an excellent waterpark with loads of different and unique slides to anywhere else. I like how you can go late at night with the slots. This is perfect for a relaxing evening. The fully equipped park on site is open until really late so if your children want to stay for a little bit longer than they have the opportunity to. The staff are really friendly and you can even hire go karts and bikes. On site there is the superstore and pizza shop and restaurants even with a bowling alley, and bar with entertainment. The accommodation are great with fully working showers and the beds are comfy.

It was a great experience for a family time. My recommendation is to go during a week, not on weekends. Our teens have been so happy to use all attractions in Duinrell

Here is absolutely stunning fields of colorful flowers, especially tulips, everywhere you look. It was quite crowded with tourists, but the atmosphere was still enjoyable. Outside the park, we rented bikes and explored the endless beautiful flower fields around Lisse a fantastic experience! Despite the crowds, I’d definitely love to come back.

Large and beautiful gardens with a multitude of tulip displays. It was lovely to walk around and see all the beds that are supported by local farmers. The indoor displays were great for a bit of variety. Spent about 3 hours total including a rest for lunch. Visited at the start of April, so before the peak season, but still quite tiring with the huge number of people. The bus and entry ticket was very convenient.

Its a spectacular garden with every colour of tulips and roses that you could imagine. Simply beautiful! There is also a section inside where they have arranged flowers and stuff, that too is worth seeing. Absolutely worth the money!!! Not-to-be-missed!

Visited Keukenhof in late March and had a lovely experience overall. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and getting there by bus was simple thanks to very clear signage and instructions throughout. While the outdoor tulips hadn’t bloomed yet (which is to be expected that early in the season), the indoor displays more than made up for it — vibrant, beautifully curated, and full of colour. The whole park is set in a stunning landscape, and even without the full bloom, it’s a peaceful and enjoyable place to walk around. I’ll definitely return again — but next time, a little later in the season to catch the gardens in full bloom.

One of the most beautiful gardens in the world. Highly recommended for people who love nature, flowers and looking for a day out to spend time close to nature. Amazing views and wide variety of Tulips. I have taken day trip from Amsterdam and it was well worth it.

VERY PRETTYY! visited it on march or april and it almost near the end of the season so some flowers are already got cut off, but still the collection is so pretty and it's less crowded! you should also buy and eat the strawberry covered chocolate and some snacks there! i also bought a bus ride from amsterdam from Klook!

My goodness, there is no other garden like this one. The place is huge and spectacular. There are flowers in every colour including black. Flowers are everywhere, left, right, behind and infront of you. The garden is located outside of Amsterdam and reachable by car or the Keukenhof bus which was very efficient. There are many people that visit this garden but you can still navigate easily if you come the earliest possible when the garden open. There are places on site to buy lunch and/or snacks. It is a bit pricey but the quality was really good so that worked out well. An amazing experience, I spent over 4 hrs at the garden, and took hundreds of photos. It is a must visit on anyone's list that loves tulips. It is a must to see the creativity in gardening, how much planning went into that, how much work was done, incredible experience for me.

It's a good tour and interactive afterwards. We have a six year old and a two year old; I feel that charging the same price (€25) for a 0, 1 or 2 year old as adults is a bit much. Our two year old was scared in the experience, as the dark rooms, lights and heartbeat sounds were quite intimidating without her understanding the context.

One of the most interesting museums in The Netherlands I have visited. We visited Corpus Museum in fall school vacation. It must do an online reservation and chose the time slot. One group visitor (around 10 people) go together in a body tour. We put earphone and chose the language because the explanation through it. Atractive tour, amazing 3D video, and also we can really smell and feel how the part of human body works. Stroller not allowed. After finished the human body tour, we go downstairs through stairs and found informatief room per floor. Not only playing part for the children, but also wall full of great information. We came back home with heart full of happiness because got lots of information and can learn human body in interesting and amazing way. High recommended Museum visited with family or friends.

Relatively short “tour” but LOVED it, very well presented and truly thoughtful for kids (not tooo young though) without boring the adults. The play area tends to be a bit crowded but I’d highly recommend this place when in Leiden

It is very close to Leiden city and highway. Has a closed parking space incld EV charging. Museum is well designed, mostly enhanced with videos and lightshows. There are several educative activites after the museum. Mostly suitable for children.

Old, overhyped and overpriced. I did enjoy the first part of the museum where you 'walk inside your body.' It is well-made and well explained. After the tour with audio guide, you come to the second part where you see visual materials and read the panels. It felt quite old and meant mainly for young children, probably below 8. My two children aged 9 and 12 though it was too childish and not attractive, so we just walked past and left the museum. Overall I felt it isn't worth the money. Not recommended.

We visited this museum for the first time and we liked it. It was quite interesting to learn more about your body and body. The tour takes place in a small group with an audio guide. It's a pity that you can't take photos and videos while walking, you want to capture this.

I have been wanting to go here for a while now since seeing it as one of 5 best museums in the Netherlands. We absolutely loved it. Such a cool looking building and the way the exhibitions were set up were very good. My 3 year old daughter loved it, especially the interactive parts.. the herd of triceratops was my highlight. It does seem to be in the middle of nowhere (close to den haag though), but it's definitely worth the trip.

Loved this place, including the additional Trex re-experience. It’s well laid out, so no map is needed to see everything. It’s funny, realistic and simply well done. Plenty of information (yes, English and Dutch) and side activities or videos to keep you busy for over two hours. Beautiful building - would recommend and go back in a heartbeat

Fantastic place to bring your children or even just for adults to visit. The displays are beautifully and informatively done. Sometimes I do feel sad for the animals that must have been killed for the display. There are audio-visual installations and well-maintained facilities.

Awesome variety of exhibitions showcasing the breadth and depth of life. The amount of fossils and skeletons on display is impressive. Staff was very friendly and the building itself is beautiful to boot. It's also very easy to get to from Central Station in foot. Came away with a renewed appreciation for the natural world!

Loved the variety of this exhibition. There are pieces from different parts of the world. The sections included north America, Siberia, Oceania, Indonesia, China, Japan, South Korea, and Africa. The exhibition has a lot of paintings from around the world. There is also a hall where there you can watch some movies about antiquities.

It is covered on museum card. A very good experience to know about different cultures and history around the world. Very informative. Its a big museum so atleast plan 3 to 4 hrs to fully enjoy. Have good cafes and shop as well. Excellent experience overall.

Incredible museum with a lot of artifacts from Japan and China. Also a large section dedicated to the indigenous tribes around Polynesia and the native tribes of America. Leiden is blessed to have these awesome artifacts on display. There are also some workshops going on to participate in sometimes. I can definitely recommend visiting this museum!

What a wonderful museum! We spend quite a few hours in the different rooms that bring you all around the world with items from every continent. I really enjoyed my stay there and found it absolutely not to be missed on my list. The staff at the entrance was also very kind and welcoming when explaining the different areas. If you are visiting Leiden I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Update 28/5/22 Museum Night Leiden.This museum of ethnology, located within walking distance from the Leiden central station, is so breathtaking that one finds it rather difficult to choose where to start! My advice is: take your time and walk through all the exhibits....and read the fascinating stories behind them. Come to Leiden and visit this magnificent museum! Highly recommended!!

To be honest, its Japanese garden was a bit disappointing though it's designed by Japanese. I feel so strange with the rad walls. However, the green house and the other gardens are nice. You can enjoy seasonal flowers. Plants are separated by which area they are native to, which is unique if conpered with the other gardens.

It was a bit disappointing to walk around a rather dull garden at the end of September. If the ticket had cost 5 euros, I would have been satisfied — after all, it’s still a nice place to wander or sit with a cup of tea. But for some reason, paying the full price of 11+ euros left me feeling a bit disappointed

It had been many years since my last visit to the Hortus Botanicus, and I was truly looking forward to seeing it again. While I must admit that the gardens didn’t feel quite as lush and vibrant as I remembered, the visit was still enjoyable. The atmosphere remains wonderfully peaceful, offering a lovely place to stroll and unwind in the heart of beautiful Leiden. Despite the slight change in appearance, the Hortus Botanicus continues to be a charming and tranquil escape well worth a visit.

For the hype, I did not find it lived up to it. It has variety but not as largely spoken of. The Asian gardens are the loveliest and tranquil. The old trees truly awesome. Unless botany is your thing, or in need of some warmth in the cold seasons, I was disappointed.

An absolute must visit if you’re ever in the Netherlands. Such a well-made experience with informative stands everywhere and rich history. And if you get tired, there’s a nice cafe where you can have a coffee with a cake.

The tiny but mighty botanical garden, with its greenhouses, rose garden, Chinese, and Japanese gardens, was enjoyable but did not require much effort. This is one compact garden, and there is enough space to sit and enjoy the views.

Nice and offers a lot of information to those who also read the texts in the greenhouse. You can easily spend 1-2 hours here and it's kids friendly. They have a few specimens of the world's biggest flower and they open in different times. Cute memorabilia in the museum shop.

The hotel has a beautiful location, which is a great plus. However, the rooms were disappointing, with small and uncomfortable beds, leading to a low rating of 4/10 for the room. The reception service was decent, with a rating of 8/10. On the downside, the attitude of one of the kitchen staff members was very poor. There was a noticeable lack of respect for both guests and colleagues at the reception, which significantly impacted the overall experience. The breakfast selection was limited, but it was what I expected given the nature of the hotel. The hotel itself appears old, though it has been renovated. There is parking available for guests, which is a positive feature. I arrived late in the evening, but the reception staff, particularly the Syrian employee, were extremely welcoming and professional, making the check-in process pleasant. Conclusion: Despite the nice location and good reception staff, I do not plan to stay at this hotel again due to the uncomfortable beds and poor service from certain staff members.

Cleanliness was a major concern during my stay. Unfortunately, this was the least clean hotel I have ever experienced. There were stains on the curtains, stained fingerprints on the walls, and lip marks on the mugs and glasses. The chairs and telephone were also dusty and dirty. I ended up having to do the cleaning myself, as otherwise I would have found it very difficult to remain in the room. What made this particularly disappointing is that the marks on the walls and the stains on the mugs and glasses could have been removed with just a little care. This reflects poorly on the housekeeping standards. I did not request a room change, as I did not believe it would have made much difference. The soundproofing was also very poor — I could clearly hear conversations from the neighbouring room, and each time a door closed in the corridor my bed actually shook. In addition, I did not find the blue lighting in the bathroom pleasant, and the shower temperature was inconsistent. Overall, I am sorry to say that this was a very disappointing stay.

This is the classic holiday inn express. Predictable as always. There are no surprises here as well and you can not go wrong with this place as a business traveller for a short stay. The checkin experience was smooth. The staff very helpful. I had the keys of my room in my hand in no time. The rooms were the same holiday inn express rooms. Minimalist! But everything works. I always miss a wardrobe, a place to keep my suitcase, a safe to keep the passport and a mini refrigerator. It would be so great if somehow the design incorporated at least a safe and a place to keep the suitcase, so that you don't live of the suitcase on the floor. The TV is the size of a small computer monitor. Most computer monitors available now are bigger than the TV here and that needs to change. The breakfast is included as a part of the package for everyone and is great. It's not an elaborate spread. It's the same menu everyday, but no real complaints here. The one challenge with this place is that there isn't a proper place to board a cab or get out of one. The only place for one to do this is in the bus lane near a bus stop and that is complex. But I guess most people will just take a train. The place is very conveniently located near the Rotterdam central station. There are a number of very good places to eat within a short walking distance. I would strongly recommend a stay here.

It's a relatively comfortable hotel, but with a few faults. First our room was not made up in the morning, towels not changed. We complaint to the reception unfortunately they don't have any idea about it. Secondly the room telephone doesn't have a cord so it isn't working (see my photo). Thirdly the bed was too soft sinking to the middle. Having said all these, breakfast was good, location is fantastic, it's only about 200 yards from the central station.

Hotel is in a great location with train station, tram, shopping and restaurants within walkable distance. Having stayed in the hotel for close to a month, my husband and I were super disappointed. This is the worst customer experience we had with an IHG hotel chain. Room has very poor sound proofing. Even though we did not opt for the green option, bed linen were not changed daily. Hotel staff told us it’s only changed every 4 days (which is for the green option). Our room was also not made up on one day. And we could see the floor was not vacuumed for days as remnants were found. Instead of taking ownership and solving the issue, staff at the reception just pointed the problem to the housekeeping team. No apology was given at the very instant the issue was raised to her. She even offered to give us the bed linen expecting us to change by ourselves. Bathroom was not well cleaned. And we had sink that was choked. And bathroom was closed to being choked after 22 days of stay. Staff at the reception told us it’s a 3-stars hotel so it’s old and things might not work. Facial tissue was not replenished during housekeeping. When we requested for it, we were told to get it from the reception Housekeeping team left unwanted stuff such as extra pillow case, garbage bag, cleaning cloth, etc in the room. In our opinion, the hotel amenities are not that old. It’s the attitude and level of engagement and service of the team that caused the issues. Feedback to hotel there is a strong cigarette smell at the same floor and no action was taken to address it. Breakfast also lacked varieties and remained very much the same daily. We had to depart very early for our flight so we settled the bills the night before. No one communicated that we could arrange breakfast takeaway until we handed the key cards back to the hotel. We requested to talk to the GM but he did not respond to our request. In summary, the leadership, service and operations have huge room for improvement as evident by our personal experience. IHG group should seriously take the feedback from google reviews and strive to improve the overall service levels.

We chose this hotel solely for its location, but what we experienced turned our stay into a complete nightmare. After checking in at 3 PM as requested, my wife got into bed only to discover a large, dry brown stain on the sheets — unclear whether it was food, vomit, or something else entirely. Disgusted but polite, we reported the issue to reception at around 5 PM. We were reassured that the situation would be taken care of. Fast forward to 10 PM: we return to the room, only to find the exact same stained sheets — nothing had been done. We went back to reception, and the same staff member who had acknowledged the issue accompanied us back to the room… bringing clean sheets in hand and expecting us to change the bed ourselves. This level of service is beyond unacceptable. For any hotel, cleanliness and basic hospitality are non-negotiable. What happened here was not only unprofessional, but also absolutely appalling. Needless to say, we will never return — and would strongly advise others to think twice before booking.

While the location was right downtown and close to a tram line, I would NOT stay her again or recommend it again. Mostly for lack of cleanliness and the telephone did not work but the hotel staff neglected to notify us when we checked In. TV remote have a large amout of visible dirt. The beds were twin slightly sunken in the middle but there was a strong foul vomit odor on the bed & wall next to it.

Amazing building. Unfortunately, the rooftop has no chairs for the public, except for the cafe/restaurant. Some rooms have a lot of empty space. For us the Belvedere Storyhouse provided the best experience.

Overwhelming for sure - from the inside and outside. And from the top. Stating the obvious the architecture is absolutely stunning - take your time and take pictures. So much to discover and there is always little twinkle in the illuminated windows to the depot. The weeping glas exhibition was fascinating and enlightening. Great beer selection on the rooftop restaurant ( and of course great view and a magical little autumn forest.

Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam is currently closed for major renovations, with a planned reopening in 2029. Although I couldn’t go inside, I still stopped by to admire and photograph the exterior—and it didn’t disappoint. The building has a unique charm, blending classic and modern architectural styles with its red-brick façade and clean, elegant lines. It stands out beautifully in the Museumpark area and is definitely worth a visit just for the architecture. Right next to it is the Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, an eye-catching, mirrored bowl-shaped building that’s actually an art storage facility open to the public. Even from the outside, it’s a stunning structure, reflecting the sky and surroundings in a really striking way. It’s a great place for photos and a good example of how Rotterdam mixes art and architecture in creative ways. Although I didn’t get to explore the museum’s collection this time, the visit was still worthwhile. If you're in Rotterdam, it’s a lovely stop—especially for anyone who enjoys architecture or photography. Looking forward to coming back once the museum reopens to see what’s inside.

I loved every bit of this museum. It was fun to explore each floor. You're able to go to each floor either by stairs or the lift depending on which one you prefer. Getting to the last floor wil be worth it. If your in rotterdam definitely go see it.

This was a total disappointment to be honest. Most of the places were not accessible and only in appointed times (around 1-2x for the whole day!!) And some were not accessible. The art was arranged in a confusing way such as were the description. Some touch the screens were not working. The app you scan the qr code but then it doesn't actually inform you anything. A lot of contemporary stuff (sorry not my gig). So you had a picasso and Rembrandt mixed with a huge image of a guy laying down with his hairy p€nis showing. It was rather odd. The place was clean and neat. The terrace was OK. Is it worth 20 euros? Never. Will I came back? Most likely not.

Nothing so special if you're an art lover. However, the rooftop is great with some really special coffee

A must! Incredible views. We went up just before sunset and then after sunset, we had a drink and A DELICIOUS AND GENEROUS portion of their fries with truffle mayo and parmesan, so worth it. After that we went back out to experience the views of the lights. It's like 3 experiences in 1. Highly recommend it to locals and tourists.

The waiter was pretty rude! One of the waitresses got us a table with a nice view but that was all of the good experience. We waited 20 minutes to order and when the waiter came he told us that table has a reservation and we had to move to another one so we left the restaurant.

Great open view of the Rotterdam city. 360° view available. Unfortunatelly service in the restaurant was not so good. Although mostly empty we were tild we cant be served lunch because they didnt have staff. Other people were served. We left and wouldnt recommend the restaurant.

Was great to br able to see Rotterdam from such a height and there is a small video you watch to show the history of Rotterdam. Would have been better if they had signs to show what you are looking at once you are on the viewing platform. Instead there is a QR code you can scan and then you are supposed to be able to point your camera at things and it will tell you what it was, however it doesn't work well at all. You also have to buy a more expensive ticket to go to the highest point. They also do abseiling down the Euromast which wasn't widely advertised.

I put 3 stars for the fact that we paid a lot of money for just a couple of short video clips explaining about the city. I thought we would get a better experience for the amount of money we paid. I was disappointed. But the view was great, for that reason I didnt make it 1 or 2 stars :)

My buddy told me about this cool landmark, I took a train from Amsterdam to get there. It was late when I arrived. I didn’t get to view inside the architecture, even though the surface was yellow, you could still clearly see that it was being built for decades. If you’re in the area, you should totally drop by. I solely walked around these innovative houses, had a meal and headed back.

The Cube Houses are truly one of the most unique architectural sights I’ve ever visited. Walking through the area feels almost surreal—the tilted cubes, sharp angles, and bright yellow panels create a playful, futuristic atmosphere. The show house offers a fascinating look at how people actually live in these unconventional spaces, and the views from inside are surprisingly charming. Whether you’re into architecture or just love exploring memorable landmarks, the Cube Houses are absolutely worth a visit.

Interesting architecture on the cubes way of design and living. Was it good to visit and paid euro3.50. first time experiencing to see how the laid out. For the cost was ok. But the whole tour takes less than 10 mins to finish all. So it is up to you to judge if the cost is worth to pay.

A definite must visit if coming to Rotterdam. The concept of people living in these unique structures is crazy and it is not too expensive to visit. Note that stairs are narrow so you need to be able to navigate these.

I had a couple of hours layover in Rotterdam so went to check out the cube houses. They are truly uniquebabd it was interesting to see how the architect has integrated storage. Population density in the Netherlands is a constant discussion but once you visit this you realize why they never made any more. Beautiful from the outside, interesting conceptually but definitely ultimate a case of form over function.

An area I had wanted to see every since I heard of its existence in planning our walk through Rotterdam, this did not disappoint. We were pressed for time so we did not enter the museum/show house but did wander through and around marveling at the tilted cubes and how they intertwined to make patios, shops and of course the actual homes. If I ever return to Rotterdam, I am definitely going to put aside time to enter the interior and explore what they have done with all the slanted ceilings and walls.

What a lovely area, just a couple of minutes from the Cube houses and the Markthal and close to a number of hotels such as CitizenM and restaurants such as Fitzgeralds. Blaak station, the Metro and tram are just a few minutes away or you can arrive in foot or by cycle. By day it’s a beautiful, relaxed area: there are lots of seats to sit and watch the world go by. The harbour if full of old and unusual boats many of which have supporting information posted closer by. Also look out for the Calex building which is really stunning and dominates done corner. In the evening the area comes alive as the many bars and restaurants quickly fill up with tourists and locals alike. Slepervest and other short streets are piled with cycles as people enjoy the lovely safe environment. If you are staying close by it’s definitely worth visiting to soak up the atmosphere.

A core viewing item for tourists is the Erasmusbrug with its sleek lines and modern design. Instantly recognizable. I especially wanted to walk here as i suspected it was near our cruise ship terminal and I wanted to know how to get here if we had any trouble with our shuttle transfers. We walked half way out for great views down the river/channel. Additional photos were from our cruise ship sail away the next day, from the other side of the channel/river

Super cool to see up close in person. However if you are short on time - it’s just as spectacular viewing from afar. Walking across this bridge doesn’t compare to walking across the Brooklyn Bridge (which is not to be missed in NYC). There wasn’t much to see or do around the Erasmus bridge.

Very nice experience. The guy leading the guided tour was friendly and shared many interesting details, they let you see basically every part of the production, you can take photos, and 3 samples of their beers are included. Cafe inside is nice, and if the weather is good, outside is a very spacious terrace with a view on a windmill. They have 20 beers on the tap, their own, but also from the other breweries. For the fans, visit of their shop in the room next to the bar is recommended, you will find many of their beers that might not be so easy to get otherwise. For the food - bitterballen were ok, and the duck breast with potato and sauce tasted amazing, even though the portion was way too small.

At this place they don't just know how to brew splendid beer, they also have excellent food. The bar/restaurant is compact and has a great selection of beer. Moreover, there is a high end bottle shop in the same house. I will definitely come back to this place!

This place is a mark for every craft beer lover. Brouwerij De Molen produce not only the best beers in Netherlands, but some of the more recognised beers in the world. The food is very good too. Totally worth it to do the tour in the factory. If you planning go in end September, you should go to the Borefts Beer Festival.

The site is huge and it is very beautiful you can spend the day there and honestly I didn’t take the tour but it is recommended due to the fact that it allows you to see the area better and have a better experience. But the parking was really hard to be found and their parking places are extremely expensive!!

We came here in October on a Thursday so we knew going into it that it was off-season. Getting here via public transit from Rotterdam was a bit of a trek but we managed. We bought tickets and enjoyed all it had to offer. We walked through all the museum spaces, took the water shuttle and the water tour. It was a fun day out in nature to get some fresh air and getaway from the city. It seemed like you could explore the place without buying tickets but to access the museum exhibits, the museum style windmills and the water shuttle, you needed to show proof of tickets. The only thing I'd recommend is bringing your own food as the options were slim and the space to eat filled up quick once the rain started down pouring!

Very beautiful hotel, we spent one night there, it was wonderful. Very nice architecture, i loved the windows shape, the room is large, the view is very nice, friendly staff, it was 99€ breakfast included, they offered a free umbrella baby bed. The breakfast was really delicious, it is not open buffet, because the hotel is 5 rooms only, but they prepare it just for you,nature juice, and hot bread and croissant and the view just wonderful. There are places for your car for free. The wifi was very good.
