(Translated by Google) 20240710 A very special experience – absolutely recommended! We have been spending our vacation in Zingst every year since 2012 and have driven past the “Ostsee-Schmuck” shop in Ribnitz-Damgarten countless times over the years - without ever looking inside. On July 10, 2024 the time had finally come and we took the time to visit the store. And we were really pleasantly surprised! The exhibition is very attractively designed and offers a wide variety of beautiful pieces of jewelry - many of which are of course made from the “gold of the north”, amber. The exhibits range from simple, elegant pieces to elaborately crafted and correspondingly high-priced unique pieces. It's a real pleasure to stroll through the showcases and marvel at all the creative designs. We were particularly impressed by the foam factory: There you could see live how amber is processed and transformed into unique jewelry - a real highlight, not just for jewelry lovers! The staff was consistently friendly, courteous and very professional. We felt well advised and welcomed – that is no longer a given these days. Of course, we didn't want to leave empty-handed, so my wife was allowed to choose a beautiful pair of earrings - a very special souvenir of the trip. Conclusion: Anyone who is traveling in the region and is interested in amber, jewelry or simply beautiful craftsmanship should definitely plan a visit to “Ostsee-Schmuck”. It's worth it! (Original) 20240710 Ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis – absolut empfehlenswert!

(Translated by Google) A definite recommendation! We watched the jewelry production and bought some amber pieces from the gift shop as souvenirs and to make our own jewelry. The jewelers were even kind enough to drill some holes for us. We highly recommend visiting the factory – it's also suitable for artists and children, as you can polish the amber yourself in the workshop and they offer affordable amber for making your own. (Original) Klare Empfehlung!

There's something for everyone—from amber for working with yourself to amber for your own creative projects to processed amber in every conceivable variation. I received many great personal tips (including how to work with old amber) and information about amber, of course. A wonderful experience for everyone. Thank you. Deutsches Bernsteinmuseum

Specialty Museums
Cultural museum in a chapel, with exhibits on Baltic amber, a hands-on grinding workshop & a cafe.
If you love Amber as much as I do, you must visit! One thing you can do, and I did for sure, was pick a raw pendant of different sizes and prices, sand it, and they polish it for you. You’ve half-made your own Amber pendant!
Laguz E — Google review
The museum is pretty big with lots of stones to view, a nice little shop and a place for the kids to make their own piece of amber. The only reason that it doesn't get more stars is because there is very little information available in English, which is disappointing because I would have liked to learn more about Amber and it's history.
Laurien S — Google review
Incredible museum... excellent documentation...also in English.. Not too big ...linked to the church. Also very nice for coffee and cake....
Dom L — Google review
Awesome Museum. Our kids 5 and 8, love searching for stones on the beach. They learned about something really neat they can search for on the beaches now, and how it's made, what it can be transformed into. But the highlight was the workshop. A very sweet and helpful man and woman were there. Our daughters chose to crate their own amber necklace. But our youngest broke hers. The woman offered a solution: cut new holes and create a double piece amber necklace. She had to take the tiny piece and polish it in her hand and then make a new hole in her workshop. Needless to say it was above and beyond and made a bit of a sad situation into a positive. Thank you Bernstein lady!!!
M L — Google review
Beautiful place with a very deep atmosphere! Here you feel all the hard work that people put in collecting all of the stones, relics, jeweleries and to present this nature masterpiece to simple tourists that are coming to visit this place! Thank you for your hard work and passion in collecting and sharing this Kind of things to everyone, who is willing to see! Also big credits to the staff who is working in the cafe, which is a part of this place also. We came as a big group of students. but in any moment you were polite and helpful with us. Food was very delicious and it was organized like Swedish food court with different food on it! Thank you for that You exist!

The Warnemünde Lighthouse, a 19th-century beacon constructed with gleaming white glazed bricks, stands at a height of 31 meters. It offers stunning panoramic views of the picturesque village of Warnemünde, the Baltic Sea, and the pristine beach. Serving as both a navigational aid for ships and an iconic symbol of the seaside resort, this historic lighthouse has been guiding vessels since its construction in 1898.
Great place. You can climb the lighthouse and get great views. The beaches in the area are great. There is some fabulous public sculpture in the area too. The famous teapot building is close by.

We were on a cruise thru the Baltic Sea and one of the stops was Warnemunde. We walked around the town self guided using google maps. The town is rather small so it did not take long to see it all. The lighthouse is in a busy part of town on the dock area. It was easy to get to the lighthouse for an up close view. Built in 1898 and very much a part of the town.

The Warnemünde Lighthouse, a striking landmark in Rostock, Germany, stands tall at 37 meters on the Unterwarnow estuary. Erected in 1898 with white glazed bricks, it offers panoramic views from its two galleries. Once operated by a keeper, it's now automated, guiding ships with its light visible for 20 nautical miles.

Amazing place. We really loved in the morning when it was sunny and also in the evening with glittering light houses. Very peaceful place and easy to reach. There are few small restaurants to grab snacks and drinks. You can relax here for the whole, walking around or sitting there. Water was a bit cold for me so I couldn't stay in water for long. Definitely a must go place.
Prashant T — Google review
If you like fresh seafood and nice beaches definitely worth visiting. We went to the beach bit early (around 9 am) so able to find a good place. The water was clear, not many waves, and less crowded in the morning. Can be easily accessed via Warnemünde S Bahn station.
Kasun A — Google review
Best place to visit in summer. Just plan if it’s more than 20C plus wind speed is not more then 12km/h. Otherwise bring a camp or jacket to feel warm. Lot of places to eat around and also enjoy the water. There is a kinder park near by but there are not many stuff for kids to do. Water is warm in summer just the cold wind makes it uncomfortable to stay. Anything above 20C is perfect of beach 🏖 and some sun. There are some places you can rent but it cost around 5€per hour.

Warnemünde Strand is a coastal paradise, and its sunsets are absolutely stunning. The beauty of this beach goes beyond its sandy shores and clear waters—it's the sunsets that truly steal the show. As the sun begins to set, the sky over Warnemünde Strand transforms into a breathtaking display of colors. The warm oranges and pinks mix with the cool blues of the sea, creating a mesmerizing painting in the sky. You'll have plenty of space on the beach to find your ideal spot for watching the sunset. Whether you decide to sit on the sand, take a leisurely stroll along the promenade, or relax at one of the beachfront cafes, you're in for a treat. The soothing sounds of the waves in the background add to the magic of the moment. And as the sun dips below the horizon, casting a shimmering reflection on the water, you'll be left in awe of nature's beauty. These sunsets at Warnemünde Strand are not just a visual delight; they're an experience that leaves a lasting impression. It's the kind of sunset that makes you pause, reflect, and feel grateful for the simple joys in life. In summary, Warnemünde Strand is the perfect place to witness some of the most beautiful sunsets imaginable. It's a destination that reminds us of the wonders of the natural world and leaves us feeling deeply appreciative.

Sights & Landmarks
St. Mary's Church, also known as Marienkirche, is a significant landmark in Rostock, Germany. This Gothic church, dating back to the 13th century, boasts an array of treasures within its ancient brick walls. Visitors can marvel at the artfully crafted wooden altar, a massive stained glass window depicting The Day of Judgement, a Renaissance pulpit from 1574, and a bronze Baptismal font from 1290.
Beautiful church with stunning exterior as well as interior. It really feels like this church shows how strong Rostock was back in the days. If you are a student, you only pay 2 euros for the entrance fee. It’s a neat church overall, but the astrological clock inside is amazing. It really makes you wonder how people of the past could come up with the idea of creating it.

St. Mary's Church is the largest church in Rostock, Germany. I love its red brick Gothic architecture! It really stands out from all angles in the city!! I was looking forward to seeing its astronomical clock that I had heard about. Unfortunately, even though it said it was supposed to be open on the website, sadly, it wasn't. We walked around the entire building several times to try to find an open door, but no luck.

Fantastic church there is a small fee to enter , but it is well worth it. If you can get there for around midday to see the medieval clock play it is well worth it (can be found behind the altar) . There are lots of tombs and an amazingly decorated organ. Well worth a visit

Came here to Costal Germany: St. Mary's Church (Marienkirche), Rostock Location: The church is located in the city center (Stadtmitte) of Rostock. Address: Its address is typically listed as Bei der Marienkirche 3, 18055 Rostock, Germany. It is easily recognizable by its towering, massive brick structure and the specific color pattern on the tower (alternating dark/green-glazed and red unglazed bricks, particularly visible on the sides of the transept and tower), which is characteristic of the building's various construction phases. The St. Mary's Church is famous for being the largest church in Rostock and for housing a magnificent, functional medieval astronomical clock dating from 1472.
George F — Google review
This church is very special! Highly recommended. There are some decorations related to the characteristics of this city: harbour. In addition, the astronomical clock is also amazing. It has worked for more than 500 years and provides a lot of calendar/astronomical information. I like this clock more than the one in Prague. After visiting this church, I donated some money because I hope that anything in church can be maintained in a good condition.

One of its main highlights is the Darwineum, a high-tech visitor center dedicated to Darwin's theory of evolution. It's worth the money. There are many wild and domestic animals to see. Along with some evolution concepts. Of course, polar bear is the highlight, but there are many more animals to enjoy.

I hope he and Jordan can get along well🥰🥰The environment is very good, and there is a beautiful garden. Try to go as early as possible, as the weather is getting hot and many animals are hiding to sleep at noon, can't see them

I like it a lot because there were a lot of different animals all the way from deers to big cats to fish and birds and also monkeys The polarbears were very crowded with peace but after a while it was ok The souvenir shop at the end was filled with a lot of good toys for little kids and also some other things at a good price

If you’ve been to the Berlin zoo, it’ll be pretty disappointing. It’s cute and well laid out but pretty small. Suitable for small children.
Claudia R — Google review
This was the most amazing Zoo we have ever seen. The animals are well looked after. All the animals seemed to be extremely happy. Their enclosures are very large, and clean. This zoo has a great breeding program that is extremely successful as most of the enclosures had a baby in there. If I could give it more stars I would. The cost was good value for money. It took us the whole day to go around it.

It was actually a nice, lovely forest and animals!, and I could imagine it is wonderful for kids. Their is a bit of walking, and you have to keep looking for the animals sometimes. but overall knowing that the caretakers are taking care of the animals it is lovely!

Very nice place, huge wild Park and naturally but very few animals. You can spend the whole day there with enough tables to have breaks

It's well worth at least one visit. There aren't a ton of animals but the whole place is stunning, interesting and very well maintained. Careful with small kids - quite a lot of walking involved.

Excellent place for the family! Consider buying tickets in advance online, it will save you a couple of euros and lots of time in the queue. The bistro is mediocre and very slow but there are lots of possibilities to make a picnic with whatever you took from home.
Dmitry M — Google review
Unique park, the animals have lots of space to wander freely, there are very creative informative tools for kids and adult visitors, some of which are interactive too… unfortunately the aquarium tunnel was closed due to Corona restrictions, which was a big disappointment, however the kids enjoyed the visit so much!
Fatma H — Google review
Absolutely fantastic park. Most of it's paths are under the trees so walking there even in the summer heat is comfortable. Lots of wild life - bears, lynxes, wolves. 4-5 hours of relax in the nature. Highly recommended for families with kids.
Marian C — Google review
This is a great place. They focus on local wild life and work in fun ways to interactively (non digital) explore it. Everything is designed so well and fun for kids. A glass tunnel under pond, bridges over wolfs’ place, tunnels etc. I didn’t expect a lot and had a great day w the family. Can’t recommend it enough.

When you enter here, somewhere you can spot a sign that simply says: This is a good place. I came here to see the floating angel, a memorial to the suffering of the first world war. It was preserved in a miraculous turn of events during the next war. Before you visit, read a bit about the floating angel and its history.

(Translated by Google) The cathedral's tourist attraction is "The Floating One" by Ernst Barlach. Yes, "The Floating One", even if the figure is supposed to have the features of Käthe Kollwitz. This figure is a well-known work of art with an equally interesting story. Who doesn't think of the remarkable visit of Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt on the cold, wet December 13, 1981, in the deserted Güstrow. It was still worth a detour for him, even though it was It is not the original, but not the extensive explanation for the extensive explanatory tables. to be presented. You prefer to go to the chancel, which impresses with its magnificent tombs. A cathedral with many facets and stories.

There are changing exhibitions on the existing “old stock”. Highly recommended! Parking spaces are next to it. (Translated by Google) Wonderful sculptor, wonderful museum! I was in the museum on March 9, a Saturday, there were few people, and for some time I was the only visitor in the chapel. Incredibly sensual exposure! The Chapel itself, with its warm, individual rays of light, and the equally warm, sometimes tragic, sometimes inspiring, but always beautiful and great works of the great Ernst Barlach.. I couldn’t hold back my tears at the “Reunion” sculpture. Such a touching look, the pose of the characters, their appearance... The truth brings tears. Separately, I want to note the museum worker who speaks Russian - thanks to her sensual story about the history of Barlach, his fate, his creative path (and Barlach finally found himself in creativity after visiting Kharkov, Belgorod, Bakhmut - such dear and such sick places for every Russian/Ukrainian today) - I discovered Barlach again. This, however, is one of the most poetic and tragic things - these conversations with randomly met, but far from random people... A visit to the museum and a conversation with a museum employee about art, about the past, about the tragic and killing present - left their mark on my soul. I highly recommend visiting the Gertrudenkapelle; you can even come to Güstrow itself for it. I express my deep gratitude to the museum staff for their openness, kindness and dedication to art. Thank you!

I am visiting the N.E. German Baltic Coast from my hometown of San Francisco California and I drove over to Kühlungsborn to visit the Border Tower Museum. What a great exhibition of education that explains life during the division of Germany. The exhibit is also a testimony of life in the GDR. The Tower Museum has a sandwich board with names of individuals who were documented escapee's. The museum is split between the tower and the building. If you are in the area, I recommend a visit. Thanks to the curators and caretakers of the museum.

A chilling reminder of a less forgiving time where the west and east were divided, a Cold War watchtower with a history of those that tried to make there way to the west….. worth a visit. Information boards are in Germany only but the pictures tell a story. You can climb the tower for a small fee (2€ per person). 4 stars only because of the lack of multi lingual support.

The beach wasn't crowded, and you could rent a beach chair for €13 per day. The beach is family-friendly because the water is very shallow and there are also a few sandbanks further along. It's worth noting that the parking lot near the beach is full by 10:00 a.m. at the latest. There are two outdoor parking lots, which are also free, but it's about a 20-minute walk from each one to the beach. (Original) Ein schöner sauberer Strand. Unfortunately, the path was not salted, so our progress was slow. The area itself is really beautiful, located directly on a sole and thematically well structured. Please be sure to take cash (€3.50 per adult) with you - the card reader had no reception during our visit. Church of St. Nicholas

Sights & Landmarks
The Church of St. Nicholas, a magnificent redbrick structure that survived World War II almost unscathed, stands as a testament to Late Gothic architecture in Northern Europe. It is the largest of its kind and boasts a stunning Baroque-style interior adorned in red and beige hues. Visitors can explore the church from 10am to 6pm for a donation of 2 euros per adult, with printed guides available in English and German.
This historical and very nice church is located in a very quiet place. There’s a small water passageway nearby. The old and beautiful architecture is grand and magnificent. It seems to be undergoing some maintenance, but it’s still very lovely and highly recommended to visit.

Absolutely stunning church to visit. Lots of ships inside as dedication to the sailors. Beautiful organ

St. Nikolai Church in Wismar is a stunning example of Brick Gothic architecture, built in the 14th century and dedicated to St. Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors. It was the parish church for sailors and merchants in this important Hanseatic port city. • The nave is over 37 meters high, one of the tallest of its kind in northern Germany. • Built entirely of red brick, it shows the classic style of North German Gothic churches. • The tower was destroyed in WWII and later rebuilt. • Today, it’s both a church and concert venue, known for its organ and historical charm. • It’s part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the European Route of Brick Gothic.
Neda N — Google review
The main point of attraction is the detailed architecture and artwork. The handbook gotten at the entrance can help you navigate the building and gain more insight. It's proximity to the train station is an added advantage.
Chiamaka — Google review
Wonderful church and nice area around. Not crowded at all, so you can feel yourself comfortable enjoying it. The person at the entrance played a flute, creating a great and unusual atmosphere.

I found this church extremely interesting.Despite its a Gothic church, its progressist. I have visited Many churches all over the world, but its the first time I see a Kinderkapelle inside a Gothic church . Very interesting and way to intégrate people. Well done!

A very beautiful church of St. Nicholas. Jut 5 minutes away from the main station and 10 minutes from the port harbour. This church is one of the main tourist attractions of Wismar. It has the same neo-gothic architecture built up in red stone. Inside you can find printed guides in English and German to have a read while you walk around. Has a small souvenir and postcard kiosk inside the church itself.

The Alter Hafen in Wismar is a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy snacks while taking in the beautiful views of the sea. It offers a delightful atmosphere during holidays, with small cruises adding to its charm as an ideal escape from urban bustling. Moreover, visitors can admire historic ships reminiscent of those seen in Pirates of the Caribbean. This picturesque old harbor remains popular among boat tours, cafes, shops, and even residential apartments.
I found Wismar city and its harbor gorgeous. Just the gulls a bit demanding 😅

Beautiful old harbor of Wismar. It's still much used by boat tours, cafes and shops. Also some living apartments. Definitely recommend stopping by to check it out as it's a main sight in town. Old brick buildings all over, full of history.

Nice small harbour, with a couple of old ships (one beginning of previous century and the other end of 800). Lots of nice locals to eat and/or drink at: from restaurants to gelaterie to fishbrotchen stalls.

This tower in Wismar has a very beautiful view over the city centre and harbour. It's possible to see it only as a part of group tour. The group tours happen at the each full hour and cost 3 euros per person. The visit time is around 45 to 60 minutes and happens with guide and group. The stories told by guide take around half of the tour time, rest is used for climbing and taking pictures. It's rather not for English speaking people only, as the guide speaks only German. But if you're interested in seeing Wismar from above and seeing the tower from inside, it's definitely worth it.

Hi my name is Daniela...we were quite disappointed to discover that actually it is today a cinema as there are only external walls but it was complitely distroyed in the war
Divina D — Google review
Beautiful tower now used as a memorial of sorts. It was mostly destroyed in WW2 by the allies. All that's left is the tower. Some statues at the base are interesting. We didn't try to go inside the tower. Definitely worth coming to check out if in the city. It's one of the main sights.
Paul H — Google review
A great place to rest after walking around the city. Some nice sculptures are on display.
Shannon W — Google review
Interesting place of historical significance. However, don't expect to be able to go on the tour in the tower unless you speak German. We were denied by the cashier and told to go to the close by church instead for a view, because the tour at St Marienkirche wasn't available in English and would take an hour. It didn't matter to us, but she said no. Very disappointed as the inside of the tower and the view was the thing that drew us there, but now we couldn't see it. It was only €3 but it's very frustrating when it's not available for outsiders.

The remains of the church which was destroyed in the WWII. Unfortunately the rest of the church was demolished by the DDR rule, but they saved the tower. A great view over the city from the tower.

This is an incredible structure. It is also a sound stage for orchestral events. The buildings along the way over are very impressive, but this one is just astounding! There are restrooms inside. We were able to enter on this day without admission, however I cannot guarantee that for every day of the week. I would have loved to spend a few hours more admiring the ancient relics (of stone slabs) which they have up for display in this church, and across the street. But time was not on our side today.

UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE! Along with St. Marien Church and St. Nikolai Church, it is one of the city's three sacred Gothic buildings. Construction began in 1925 and during World War II it suffered a lot of damage, then almost all of it was rebuilt in 1990. In the year of 1922, it served as the setting for a small shot of the German horror film, NOSFERATU. For me, who is a lover of the horror genre, coming to this church meant a lot. That's why I decided to meet her in the year 2022 to take photos of Wismar from the top of the chapel, and of course, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the film. Annex: photos (mine - 2022), video (from the film of that time - 1922). Something to emphasize is that inside the Church there is tourist information and the girl is very formal and polite and you can go up to the top of the chapel with an elevator.

Interesting for Kids. Update 2023: It's crazy expensive now. 2/5
Stephan K — Google review
For me this place was too expensive for what it is. I don't know whether they are having to make up for the impact of the pandemic or whether their prices have always been so high. You can see the prices on their website: what you are getting access to is a single hall with a few types of butterfly. They also have a fossil room but this is pretty basic in my view. I don't like to give poor reviews, but I wish I had known this before going.

Good place to visit - beyond the butterflies, the quail are very cute. Somewhat steep pricing considering the size. Loud café.

Zoo Schwerin, located in the south of the state capital Schwerin, is a medium-sized year-round zoo that attracts almost 217,000 visitors annually. The zoo spans about 25 hectares and is home to over 2118 animals from 144 species. Visitors can observe a wide variety of animals including elephants, tigers, giraffes, lemurs, and kangaroos in their natural habitats.
This zoo is very beautiful and well maintained. We needed about 3 hours to see it in its entirety. Very kind staff. For the first time I had the opportunity to buy food for the animals and to be able to feed them on the spot in the zoo, I have never seen such an option at the zoo before, it's a very interesting thing, especially for those who come with small children.

They had a lot of baby animals which I have never seen before. Like a lion cup, many different monkey babys, rhino baby. It was amazing how many animal babies this Zoo had and how calm the animal mommy's were. They were not scared of humans and seemed to enjoy raising the small ones. A lot of animals were playing and had plenty of space for themselves. We really had great time there.

Nestled on the east side of Alter Garten, directly across from the Mecklenburg State Theater, lies the Staatliches Museum Schwerin. This remarkable art museum boasts a stunning blend of historic and modern architecture, featuring its original Neoclassical Haupthaus built in 1882 alongside a contemporary structure that opened in 2016, connected by an elegant glass walkway. Visitors to this cultural gem can immerse themselves in an impressive array of artworks spanning from the Middle Ages to modern times.
A great collection of both modern and classical art and paintings. The art gallery is absolutely outstanding. The museum is very close to the castle, it is both fascinating and full of amazing information about the land of my forefathers. Worth to visit.

A very nice museum with excellent works from Danish, Dutch and local artists. A good mix of old and new. Wonderful works of portraits, landscape, still-life and modern-contemporary. Parking is nearby, the admission price is very reasonable, free lockers in the basement and friendly staff.
R H — Google review
I was there for the first time in April and enjoyed the exhibits. But went back last month to check out the additional new building and I was extremely disappointed. Nothing was new. Basically the same exhibits were more spread out in the old and new space. Plus, before the new building, the entrance fee was 4€ and now it is 8,5€ per person. Absolute waste of money for the second time.
Ana M — Google review
Good collection and friendly staff. The permanent collection is worth seeing. (4 stars) Edit: After going back once the new wing opened, I left extremely disappointed. It's a useless addition to the museum. Almost all of the art that is in the new wing was originally in the permanent collection and has just been moved over to fill up space. Was a nice day at the castle, the outside was more beautiful than the inside for us. The weather was great so made the atmosphere even better, I have to say seems like this part of Germany is the beautiful part. Definitely recommend visiting!

What a beautiful castle. We didn’t have time to view inside unfortunately, but the surrounding landscape and grounds were magnificent. This is definitely worth visiting, as too, the town itself. Very picturesque.
Wesley M — Google review
The castle was majestic and there were just the right number of people on a weekend. There was no queue to get the tickets on the day we went and we also managed to get a guided English tour. While we waited for the tour, we walked to the restaurant (called the Orangerie) which was in a very picturesque courtyard with a sea view. Our tour guide was very informative and gave us a lot of interesting facts and insight into the life of royalty during that Era. Not all the rooms were open for public viewing, as many were being used for the regional parliament. But the ones that were open, were really beautiful and were maintained very well. Definitely worth a visit!
Ranjani G — Google review
Beautiful Castle! However quite a lot of people there. The Tour is great and you can also borrow a chair so you can sit at all times. The Corridors are sometimes very narrow and some Tour guides are speaking rather quietly (for me personally was it not too bad, however for some people [especially older] was it a problem) so you can’t stand too far away from them. Overall a great place!!!
Aimée R — Google review
The architecture and golden domes are incredible. The beautiful gardens and the views from the bridge is really good.
Mathew V — Google review
Absolutely stunning on the outside... Self-guided tour... which is definitely handy when visiting with children. Although I was slightly disappointed by how limited the tour proved to be, in comparison with the size of the castle itself. There are also lifts and I noticed a wheelchair lift at a small staircase towards the end of our tour, so I suspect it has good or at least decent accessibility, as well. Place is fairly busy in general... so, crowded, but because it's a big place, it didn't feel overcrowded.
Penelope R — Google review
Visiting Schwerin Castle felt like stepping straight into a fairytale. Surrounded by a shimmering lake and beautifully kept gardens, the castle looks magical from every angle. Lutheran Church. You can climb the bell tower for a small fee. You have to take 200+ steps to reach the observation deck, but it's worth the effort. At about 2/3 of the climb you can have a look at the bells of the church. It makes a lot of noise when the bells are rang.
