A wonderful day out at Sussex Falconry in Herstmonceux on the 1st July 2025. I was not sure what to expect from the surprise Birthday gift but I was extremely pleased that I had been given it. The birds are really amazing, stunning to look at and perfectly adapted for their needs. The location is absolutely gorgeous and the cost includes an opportunity to explore the grounds of the castle. Our host was Adam who has an amazing knowledge of the birds and keeps up a fascinating description of his birds and their habits and capabilities. I had the full day package which allowed me an opportunity to get up close and personal with 6 different birds. Thoroughly recommended.

I booked a full day experience for my boyfriends 40th birthday. We did the experience on 23 September 2025. It was amazing!!! Matt and I had a brilliant day. Adams knowledge and passion is second to none. A lovely man who truly loves his birds and what he does. highly recommended. Thank you so much Adam . xx

We were in group of 6 lovely people and were flying hawk, kites and owl ❤️ Gerard who was our guide has incredible knowledge about birds of pray and he’s such a friendly, entertaining person, everyone laughed a lot! We had the most wonderful afternoon with Adam! We did a private party, and we had such a hoot! Adam is absolutely fantastic: a real character, who brings so much energy and humour to the experience. The birds themselves are truly magical. The opportunity to hold them and watch them in the woodland is a really epic experience. I cannot recommend this experience enough! Thank you Adam, you were awesome! We will be back 🦅

10/10/25 - I was given a full day experience with East Sussex Falconry at Herstmonceux Castle. There were 6 of us with Adam in the morning and after lunch it was just myself and Adam. It's been quite a few years since I've done anything similar to this. What a great day it was, interacting with a variety of different Hawks, Falcons, Kites and Owls. It is clear to see how pasionate Adam is over Falconry andf the welfare of his birds. He is very knowledgeable and more than happy to share this knowledge without going into too much detail which would become too heavy. I would thoroughly recommend this, either half or full day.

We booked the VIP Owl experience for my mum’s birthday. It was great. Adam was a great host, very knowledgeable and friendly. We all loved meeting the owls, especially bramble <3

My wife got us a Hawk Walk experience with East Sussex Falconry for my birthday and it was the most amazing experience. We met three absolutely beautiful birds, Cedar the harrier hawk, Neo the lanner falcon and Bramble the long eared barn owl. We got to interact with all three all guided by the knowledgeable Adam, who made the experience so enjoyable with his calm control of the birds and great sense of humour. The incredible setting of Herstmonceux Castle just tops off the otherworldly feel to it. It was just the most magical 2 hours and I would highly recommend it to anybody.

Great day out, Bank Holiday Monday, took a friend's children 3 & 7, they had a great time with all the hands on (inside and outside) exhibits. We'd not been for years, nothing had really changed, but still great fun, there for about 5 hours (brought our own picnic lunch, plenty of outdoor and indoor picnic tables), weather was a bit unsettled but that's why we went, instead of to a local park as there is a lot to do indoors if weather bad, and can do outdoors when sun came out, which it did when we visited the 'Sun Telescope' 🔭, also had a free tour of two other telescope domes......would recommend for anyone with Year 6 or below children, although the adults had fun as well.

Attended the Perseids shooting stars event this year. The place is beautiful to visit, with a lot of interactive activities to do. The event started with an interesting talk from one of their astrophysicist, quite informative. Then we moved into groups and rotated around all the domes. The knowledge and passion of the volunteers was amazing to see and hear. It's well worth a visit, especially on one of their special evenings. Will definitely be back in the future.

Splendid place to go. #stargazing evening on a cloudy night I like the enthusiasm of ppl working in places like this. You can see they love their job. The planetarium guy was so good and funny. Good food 😋

This place is incredible. Run mostly by dedicated young chaps. All of the science experiment exhibits worked, including the outdoor ones. So much to learn here for visitors of any age. Add it to your list and you can thank me later.

Great value for money, lots to do that kept the whole family interested and engaged all day! Responsibly priced cafe with good variety. Helpful staff, lots of parking.

My sons love this place and so do I. lots of interactive excitements that explain physical phenomena. Large area and no crowds! Must visit!!!

Great visit. Happened upon the Astronomical Festival weekend which added to the experience with some great talks and displays. Lots for the younger ones to get involved with. Certainly could’ve spent longer.

Really interesting place. We all enjoyed the visit. Yes the front of the castle was covered with scaffolding but we have been advised about everything in detail! Lovely lady honestly explained everything by the gates before paying the admission fees. Gardens were fantastic and inside the castle was amazing…. like Harry Potter place. Would be brilliant if they could give access for more rooms….

Strangely hidden and less well known place but beautiful house and grounds. Unfortunately the house was closed due to a private function but the grounds were well worth the entrance fee. Beautiful gardens and woodland walks. Nice cafe too.

We visited the castle with 15 three in the age between 12 and 18 and all of them had a great time. Especially the gardens were beautiful and behind every corner that was something else to discover . They also enjoy taking several pictures of the landscape , the gardens and the castle. We also did a tour which was very good . The lady who guided us through all the different room buzzer really nice.

A real hidden gem this and amazed i never took my kids here when younger. We only did the grounds, but for £10 entry this was excellent value. Good for a walk, you probably only need an hour, but a beautiful spot. Lots of little nooks and crannies if you have young ones. Had a drink and some cheese and before we left got some rum from the shop. Will go back when the sun is out.

We had a lovely afternoon here, the gardens are beautiful and the castle is stunning. I would definitely recommend the castle tour, we had a great tour with Melissa, she was extremely knowledgeable.

Visited today (20/08/25) in the afternoon with my Grandma and was highly impressed with our visit. We were given a useful map of the grounds upon arrival. We had a sausage roll each for lunch plus cake in the cafe, both of which were delicious at a reasonable price. The gardens and grounds were interesting and had a variety of colours throughout. There's also some woodland areas where you can walk around. I believe the Herstmonceux grounds are around 600 acres, so it's a decently sized estate. The day we visited happened to be a day that castle tours were taking place, so we booked onto the 3pm tour. Our tour guide, Melinda, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She talked about the history of Herstmonceux Castle and the different stages it's been through. The castle itself is quite a fascinating building (Grade I listed I believe). It's primarily used by the Queen's University in Canada, but it was nice to see parts of the castle. They've recently opened a little farm shop onsite, which has a nice range of products, also includes the gift shop too. We were served by a young girl called Molly, who was very helpful and friendly and we felt very welcome to the site. The other people that served us were friendly as well. The volunteer gardeners have been doing an amazing job at keeping the gardens looking good, given the lack of rain recently. If you're planning a day out, I would highly recommend paying a visit to Herstmonceux. Tickets are reasonably priced and dogs on leads are welcome in the grounds. Also child friendly as there's plenty of woodland to explore.

Amazing place with lots of history. Inside tours available three times per day at 11am/ 1pm and 3pm. Well worth a visit.

A beautiful place with a pleasant environment, perfect for spending time with family. There are plenty of enjoyable activities for kids. However, the water ride was closed when we visited, which was disappointing. It would be great if there were some special electronic rides, as most of the existing ones are similar to what children can find in their local play parks.

It changed! positively..Its not cheap but so worth it. Kids had a great day , there is definitely a lot going on so you can't be bored. Great park. The water slides are so cool now they've added and refurbished them.

Knockhatch is a great place for families. There are a variety of different play areas and activities. The definite highlight for our family was the meerkat experience. The keeper was brilliant so interesting and enthusiastic and the kids were completely mesmorized.It was amazing! We struggled to find food and what we ended up eating was pretty bad. Perhaps we missed a cafe in our rush to see everything!

Great value for money, staff in shop and entrance booth very friendly and helpful. Lots to do rain or shine. Brilliant place.

I visited today for my daughter to take part in the Animal Keeper Experience, and we had such a wonderful time. The lovely Eden showed so much patience and kindness throughout, she answered all of our questions with incredible knowledge. It’s clear how much she truly cares for the animals and loves her job. Thank you so much for making the experience so memorable! We also enjoyed the rest of the park, the scare mazes were brilliant, and the actors were absolutely fantastic. Overall, a great day out!

Awesome day out for all the family, kids especially love the climbing frames and drop slides.

Great way to spend an Inset day with a little one. Lots to do even outside of school holidays, certainly enough to keep my 9ur old daughter occupied. Cafe has excellent options for kids and adults. Opens late, great ice cream choices to finish the day with

Great museum that is really a preserved house of historic importance. Obviously run by volunteers who care for this house and have the passion and dedication to back it up! It was inexpensive to get in and definitely worth it. The place veritably reeks of history and each of the rooms tell their own story involved with the life and times of Anne of Cleves, who we learn, might not have been Henry VIII's type, but did survive her marriage and became a friend to the King later on in life! There is a cafe on site but it was shut on the day we visited. However, the helpful staff directed us to a nearby garden cafe where we could enjoy our tea and cakes in the sunshine and reflect on our visit to this most beautiful of 'semi-hidden' historical wonders. Worth a visit anytime.

This house is larger than you think from the front. Personally I thought the rear was more stunning. An incredible building with an interesting history. 22 people lived the house at one point although it was divided into three and had a shop! The cafe has a lovely garden area to sit out. Delicious carrot and orange cake available today. A fabulous tapestry is on display, it had a Japanese/Asian style. It was free to enter today and I believe this to be the case this weekend!

We visited this with the Lewes Castle combo ticket. Not a large site BUT very informative and well done. Recommended to include there is an adjacent cafe as well.

Well presented Tudor house, although I had not appreciated that Anne of Cleves hadn't actually lived in the house. Nonetheless, it was worth seeing, and the cafe was excellent.

A bit of a letdown. House has been cleared and doesn't show what it really would have looked like. The gardens are manicured and don't have any vegetables growing. How this is supposed to represent where 22 people lived when Anne rented the place out, is beyond me.

Lovely building with very informative signage. The history of the house itself, its structural changes, ownership etc was very interesting. The garden is fairly small but had a beautiful grape vine, medlar tree and quince bushes. Relaxing atmosphere. Well worth a visit

You can see about 4 rooms of Anne of Cleves 15th century house (though note she probably never lived here). There are quite a few stairs, and it’s a bit of an odd layout. However, there are interesting items and signs about the house’s history, architectural style, and items from the time period. Tickets: They offer a combined ticket with Lewes Castle, and if you gift aid your ticket it is good for the year. Facilities: They have a small shop, clean toilets, and a cafe (though we did not visit these)

I had no idea there was even a castle at Lewes! Free to all today and I believe this weekend. Magnificent views of Lewes today from the top of the castle. The museum has a truly amazing model village where you watch a video about the history of Lewes. Somebody very talented put so much detail into it. Well worth a visit.

One of the oldest castles in England. 🇬🇧 🏰 The castle was built soon after the Norman Conquest by William de Warren, one of William II the Conqueror's closest allies at the Battle of Hastings.👊 Begun around 1069, it is the second Norman castle in Sussex after Hastings Castle, chosen for its imposing ridge overlooking the River Ouse and the road to London.🙆‍♂️ Its twin hills and flint walls still dominate the landscape almost a thousand years later, a reminder of how quickly England has changed since 1066.🤷 Every time I visit a castle, I find it extremely interesting.🤌

The admission includes access to the gatehouse and stairs leading to the tower overlooking Lewes. The views from both are impressive! The onsite museum though small has a short but informative video about the history of Lewes. We booked with a combo ticket for the Anne of Cleves house, too.

My first visit to Lewes, ostensibly to visit the Anne of Cleves House, but there's a joint ticket available to also visit the castle and I'm glad we did. It was fascinating, well presented and the interpretive material was excellent. The views from the tower are well worth the climb, highly recommended.

Really enjoyable place to visit. So much history to soak up. My only gripe is that, in my efforts to fully immerse myself in the period, wearing chainmail and full armour made the ascent to the top of the castle painstakingly slow. Why oh why when they built it didn't they have the forethought to put in either an escalator or starlift? Apart from this observation, it really was fantastic. The museum was child friendly so I learnt a lot.

Lovely place. Not much left to the castle but a supporting museum, with lots of info. about the castle and the town of Lewes. You can climb to the top of both mottes. Cracking views of Lewes and the South Downs from the top! Nice gardens, staff, and a good price. Upgrade to an annual pass when you use Gift Aid.

Great bit of history here. Well presented and informative. The ladies selling the tickets were also very helpful and spent time giving us a history lesson before we started. Well worth the entry fee charged.

A nice park with plant centre, souvenir shop, rose garden, lily pond, fruits and vegetables garden, restaurant and exhibition hall. It’s a lovely place to spend a weekend with family and friends. Simply love the landscape with lots of beautiful plants and flowers. The food at restaurant is good too!

What a wonderful place. I went for a solo walk and had the best time wandering through the gardens. They’re full of colour, beautifully cared for, and there’s such a calm, happy feel everywhere you go. I went mid-week during term time. The sunshine made it even better. Perfect for anyone who loves nature, fresh air, and a bit of peace and quiet. Highly recommend

Nice gardens and displays, attentive staff although potentially a little too attentive on arrival. Unfortunately a few sections were closed on my visit for maintenance or works, so can’t give a full 5 star review. Prices are also very high making it less accessible for those on lower incomes.

It is away from city. Has a restaurant, lots of car parking. Bus facility is lesser. Nature lovers will like the place. The place seems beautiful with different flowers also peaceful. One could watch the colorful sections generally within an hour.

Beautiful, ever changing gardens. Plan to go back in a different season. Don’t think I had a favourite area, all so lovely. I would imagine there is plenty to see whatever time of year you visit. Friendly staff in the cafe. Lovely cakes. Sandwiches were very tasty, but lacked a respectable amount of filling.

Beautiful garden though a bit hard to get to on a weekday by train and buses. Shuttle bus available only at weekends. Love the rock garden and the restaurant with great scenic views. 😎My favourite is the Global Growth Vegetable Garden. Learned so much about origin of the most common vegetables. Love all the sculptures in the garden and the beautiful thatched house. Excellent food and love their cheese scone. Saw lots of robins. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Great shop too. Wonderful day out.

My first visit and not my last, didn’t realise the history of the place or the area. It is a place that cannot be done in one visit, there is so much to see. The garden centre has plants that are well worth buying and they are competitive priced, the compost is far superior in quality to what I have been buying elsewhere and I now will continue to purchase!

It was an excellent day trip. Nice weather made it really worth it. Plenty of parking, beautiful walking trails,plenty of area for sitting both indoor and out door. Friendly staff at the coffee shop. Plenty of option avaliable at the coffee shop reasonably priced. Good place for day trip with family. I will definitely visit again.

Lovely walk around. With some entertainments for toddlers and kids. Coffee shop with playground too. Car park at several places around the reservoir. Picnic areas. Spare couple of hours as a minimum for this place. Ps. They do bday parties for kids too :)

Great place to go for a stroll whatever the time of year. Lots of different walks around the reservoir. Plus there are a number of bird hides to observe the wildlife on the water. There are a couple of car parks with toilets and cafes. Parking is free which is somewhat unusual these days. Highly recommend a visit.

Great place for day out with the kids. Make sure you park your car at the visitor center side of the reservoir then you can collect a map and pencil for the hunt for the wind in the willows charectors in the woods then onto the fishing lodge which has a nice small. Coffee shop with plenty of outdoor seating.

Beautiful and quite place. Perfect for recharge and relaxing. We visited in spring. Looking forward for a summer picnic in the area. Really liked the parking area. Will definitely go back.

An interesting and charming place. We sat in the inner garden because we had our dog with us. It was very cozy and relaxing there, perfect for a peaceful break. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even brought our dog a bowl of water without us asking, which was a lovely touch. We only ordered cream tea since we weren’t very hungry. Everything was delicious and nicely served. There’s also a small but interesting museum on site, along with a shop that has an endless variety of jam flavors. Overall, a wonderful and enjoyable place to visit.

As always, a very pleasant experience. We brought our sister (in-law) who was over from Australia. She really enjoyed the whole experience. The food was lovely and we all enjoyed a visit to the museum and shop.

What a wonderful experience at the Tiptree Tea Room, definitely worth a visit. We had the afternoon tea, which was delicious and very filling. You choose your sandwiches, so we opted for an egg mayonnaise and a sausage & cheese Toastie. The scones were warm, served with cream and Tiptree strawberry jam. We also enjoyed the mini cakes, the carrot cake and bakewell tart were particularly tasty. Although it was slightly busy, we didn't have to wait long for a table and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

My wife and I came here for lunch with our dog. We had a seat out in their secret garden. They even gave us a little doggy menu for our furry friend. My wife went for the quiche and I had the goats cheese and chilli jam toasted sandwich. Of course we also got a nice bowl of chicken for the furry one. The food was really nice, the bowel of chicken lasted about 3 seconds max. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

The whole table thought the breakfast was absolutely delish and such a gorg environment, highly recommend cream tea!!!

What can I say but for a tea room it sells really nice coffee. My only let down was that they don't do a large size coffee. Good selection of foods and treats and the store next door sells all the products produced on site. And finally, access to the museum is also in the tea room so you don't have to walk far for a bit of jammy education.

First time doing an escape room and it was such a fun experience - me and my friends loved it so much that we’re already planning our next visit. The place is so easy to find, with parking right outside. Our host Ashley was wonderful, so friendly and accommodating and explained everything really well. 5 of us did the Hidden Relics room - challenging but super fun and such an awesome concept. We escaped with just over 15 minutes to spare but it didn’t feel like the time went too quickly. It was so well organised and the set which consisted of travelling through 3 separate rooms and the props were amazing and well put together. I’ll definitely be back to try out some of the other rooms!!

What a thrilling experience again here, this time we escaped Twister and the Clinic! George is the most welcoming escape room assistant and always makes time for us! Twister has been the best so far, thumbs up to the Relic and to Bomb squad as well! Nickita, Eddie and Lily cannot wait for Medusa!

Not too complicated story lines and games compared to others I have been to. The room deco and special effects were great. Loved the themes of the games. Came here with my partner for the Halloween escape room, George and Emma are amazing hosts and was so funny and friendly, they really made our day. The escape room was incredible, i’ve never been to one like it, the theme and decorations were beautiful. You could tell that a lot of time and effort was put into the rooms to ensure happy customers:) 100% recommend going here!

I've done many escape rooms before this and nothing holds a candle to the quality and sheer variety of this room. The host was excellent, he was perfect and we all had a great time. Team KiMCHi room Medusa, second place no clues!

Great experience for my son’s birthday. Hosts were so lovely too. Look forward to trying other escape rooms here.

Wow!! What a great adventure we had, wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was!! 4 of us went, it wasn’t easy but made it all the way with 3 seconds to go!! If you like a mystery challenge the escape rooms is the one!!

We’ve been to this theatre many times, they always have a good array of shows and this particular one, Bowie Experience, was no disappointment. Atmosphere was great which I think is what attending your local theatre should be all about and of course supporting them.

Went to see Shock Horror yesterday. Hats off to the main protagonist. He had a lot to do and he did it marvellously. Well done to all involved in the production. I love this little theatre. Value for money, entertaining and right on your doorstep!

Lovely community theatre. I went to see Buffy Revamped which was brilliant for any Buffy fan and hugely entwetaining. I also saw Sherlock here which was really enjoyable and I am going again in a few weeks to see a Horror show. I am not exactly local but it is easy enough to get to on the District Line and there is a car park next door. Nice bar and cafe with snacks and drinks and friendly staff.

A great local theatre, with exceptional seating, offering a wide range of good quality productions and theatrical events. Well worth a visit.

Recently took part in a multicultural workshop here. Great atmosphere, polite and helpful staff...lovely little coffee shop in foyer space.

Great show and no bad views in this theatre. Would've been 5⭐️ if only we could've got an interval drink! Small bar and very long queue. We had to go thirsty until show was over...bar doesn't appear fit for purpose. But a good night was had otherwise.

Went to see the Cinderella production with partners' grandchildren. Love this theatre as plenty of leg room and no matter where you sit in theatre you get a good view. The show was excellent for both adults and children. They gave children booster seats. Children were aged 10 and 8, respectively, and they loved the show, as did us adults. Recommend Cinderella performance 👌

Love it! Great fun. Great night out. Easy to make bets once you understand how to do it (the pamphlet you get on entry has a brilliant how to!). The only downside is that there aren’t enough people on the desks on busy race days (Friday and Saturday nights) so the queues to place or settle bets could take a long time. You don’t have to bet though and just enjoy the festivities!

Visited with my son's. We hadn't been for years. Parked easily in there free car park. There is free entry on a Wednesday, but they offered a pack online for £10 each (Only for 18+) which includes a racecard, drink & quick bites meal (Cheeseburger / Hotdog & Fries) Plus re-entry with a racecard on a Friday/Saturday in the next 3months. It's a really good deal, (burger on it's own was £4). It's a shame they don't offer a deal for under 18's without the racecard though. The 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed it, despite it being very quiet and very wet later on. We had a few small bets, won a few but lost more🤣 Very enjoyable night. We will look forward to coming again. For those that live outside of the M25 as we are, remember that Romford is in the ULEZ.

Did afternoon meal with a group, had a great time with great staff who looked after our group. Only had 1 problem with four people who sat on one of our tables and refused to move. Not the venue or staffs fault, just a group of selfish people who hopefully didn't get any winners.

Had a work night out here at the Paddock restaurant. Was a brilliant night. The staff were attentive the food was really good. Could have 3 courses. Our tables were just above the finish line too. Was helpful with the guy coming round to take our bets. First time going to the dog races and would certainly do it again. Parking is limited but we knew that going.

Free parking for customers if you get there before gates open. Smooth entrance and God seating areas. Bar prices are excellent, less than £30 for 6 drinks. Good service at the tote desks Well recommended for a great night of entertainment

Lovelly 3 course meal very friendly and helpful staff plus exciting afternoon watching and trying to win on the races . Tote staff where very helpful and friendly. All in a great afternoon.

We had a wonderful day at Hylands Park! It’s such a beautiful and spacious place, perfect for families. The kids loved the adventure castle play area, and there’s so much open space to run, play, and explore. The gardens are lovely for a stroll, and it’s a great spot for a picnic or just enjoying the fresh air. A perfect family day out surrounded by nature! 🌳☀️🏰

Hylands Park is a huge and beautiful open space filled with majestic old oak trees and plenty of room to relax, picnic, or simply take in the scenery. There’s something for everyone, with a children’s play area, walking and running tracks, spots for dog walking and bike riding, and lovely gardens to wander through at your own pace. With convenient on-site parking, bathroom facilities, and food, it’s an easy and enjoyable place to spend a peaceful day outdoors.

It's a beautiful park, and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed it there; unfortunately, due to the weather, we didn't get to look around.

Beautiful large open space with massive veteran oak trees, wide open space for ball games and family get-togethers. They also have a fantastic large play park for the kids that looks like a castle and is all made from wood. It’s located close to the car park and toilets. Good clean toilet facilities. They also have a large pleasure garden which is well cared for with established plants, duck pond and seasonal bedding plant displays. I particularly like the cafe where you can sit inside, or they have lots of outdoor seating for dog walkers. You can get coffee and snacks, or they do really nice fancy brunch and lunch options. You can park at the other car park right next to the cafe and shops if you don’t want to walk far- it’s very close to the pleasure gardens too. I love how wide open this place is for my kids as they can run and ride their bikes and have plenty of freedom. There are also geocaches on the site of that’s your interest.

Had a lovely evening at the safari drone show, very clever. The only thing I would say, going on and getting parked was well done but there could have been a little more direction when leaving. But the show, food and entertainment were very good.

Fantastic time at Radio 2 Party in the Park. Great acts and venue. Would like to visit the house one day.

Thoroughly enjoyed talking the self guided tour. The glass floor gives a unique view of the Thames, but can be slightly unnerving. The engine room has the two steam engines, used to power the bascules, on display. Over all, it's very good venue for money.

Taking the Tower Bridge Exhibition tour made the visit even better, as it gave detailed insights into how the bridge was built and the fascinating mechanism behind its operation. Walking across the glass floor was a unique highlight too, giving a completely different perspective of the bridge and the river below. The site is very well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing to keep in mind is that you may need to wait in a queue for entry, and on a sunny day this can feel a bit frustrating. Still, it’s not just a landmark to admire from outside, but also an educational and memorable experience to explore from within. Definitely worth visiting.

Walking near Tower Bridge is honestly one of the nicest things to do in London, especially if you’re trying to escape the busy streets without leaving the city. The view is unreal – you’ve got the bridge itself, which looks straight out of a postcard, the river Thames calmly flowing, and plenty of spots to just sit and chill. There’s something peaceful about hearing the water and watching the boats go by, even when there are tourists around. At sunset, the whole area lights up in warm colours and it feels kinda magical. It’s also surprisingly clean and safe, even in the evening. Loads of nice little cafes and street food stalls around if you fancy a bite, and the walk towards the south bank or down to St Katharine Docks is worth it too. You get a mix of old-school charm and modern city vibes. Would definitely recommend it for a date, a solo unwind walk, or just to take some beautiful photos. 10/10 – calming, scenic, and very London.

The Tower Bridge is a great stop if you're in the nearby area, and provides about 30min to 1 hour diversion. Combined with the free audio tour, great views complete with partial glass floor in one section, historic awe of the building process, and gift shop at the end - I would highly recommend if you're in the area. There are lifts for the tower, but I suggest/recommend you take the stairs getting some insight, facts and touch of history on the way up and down. There are benches to rest, toilets but no Air Con for most of it, however fans throughout provide plenty of relief - 84 degrees and it never felt sweltering inside. Learn how the bridge was designed, constructed and changes over the years - in particular the engine room videos and presentation on divers were really great. And whenever you're done walk along the Thames River path near the wharf and grab a bite to eat.

Good view from the top from a perspective you won't see otherwise. Short video of old footage of London was good. Information boards everywhere to enlighten visitors. On the London Pass so that makes it better value.

Beautiful place for a lovely long or short walk through the arboretum. We took our dogs so we were a little restricted on access to the walled gardens. Nevertheless, it is a stunning place to spend time and relax on the many benches dotted around taking in the fantastic views. Highly recommended

I took my mum here for her 90th birthday, and reserved a golf buggy to take her around the estate. It was very easy to book and the communication was excellent. On arrival, the volunteer driver, Trevor, was waiting for us. He was very personable, patient and friendly. He took us all around the estate and my mum was enthralled by the trees in their spectacular autumn colours. She had a fabulous time and hasn't stopped talking about it. I'm making her a photobook of her day so that she can re-live the memories. I can't thank the staff enough for making her day so special.

Lovely experience. Staff very friendly, gardens are a delight. Feeding the fish and the geese and babies was a pleasure. Lovely picnic area, walled garden, arboretum and lakes. Lots of benches scattered around.Then back to Mrs Salisburys for refreshments. All in all, good value for money, well worth a visit.

Superb parklands, with areas dedicated to the trees from different parts of the World. We had a nice coffee and cake in the café before starting our walk and took our picnic lunch with us. It was all good, and don't miss the walled gardens, they were exceptional. When we were at the WWII memorial the gardener stopped mowing the grass so we could look at the memorial in peace. He came over and told us all about the history and recent events. So nice of him, so considerate. Thank you 👍👍👍👍👍

Recently l visited here and l had a nice time exploring the gardens and woodlands of Mark Hall. I found a good cafe on site, as well as a gift shop and plenty of toilets.

Wonderful experience. We travelled to Waterloo by train and hopped on boat to London Bridge for the Tower which was easy and entertaining. The Tower was fascinating, such history. The poppy installation was fantastic. A really good day.....but you need comfy walking shoes!

Great day out. Went on a weekend and not too busy outside of peak season. Crown Jewels clearly the highlight, and didn’t disappoint - displays nicely spaced out, not too much content to overload younger ones and up to date, but there’s also so much more to see. Poppy display was superb, exotic animals, Yeoman tour and White Tower also worth the time, with the latter having interactive area for children. Nice day out and good to take a picnic (though not lots of spaces to sit and eat).

Enjoyed all the history The Ravens were alot bigger than I imagined. The crown Jewels were amazing and loads of gold pieces of various objects the punch bowl was massive. All the beefeaters were friendly and helpful.

Absolutely a wonderful time. As a tourist from the US, I cannot believe the amount of history in one place. You could spend an entire vacation at this site alone. Seeing highlights from the coronation amd seeing them in real life was fantastic. The displays in the White Tower were worth it alone

I’ve been wanting to take the kids on The London Eye for a while but I’m glad I waited until they were older otherwise I think they would have got bored after a while! We came during the summer holidays so the weather was nice and the views were beautiful. I pre booked for the best ticket prices and to take advantage of the £20 per adult and £18 per child special offers. We enjoyed it and the kids were able to spot famous buildings which was fun 😁 The only let down was that there were alot of us in our cabin as we were grouped up with a large family with limited seating so after a while of standing i had to sit on the poles due to issues with my knee and the kids sat on the floor. It was a busy day and I think the staff filled the cubicle to capacity This is something to bear in mind for those that may have ailments or disabilities where they need to sit down. Other than that it is worth the visit, we didn’t wait long in the queue and they also take pictures and give you a card with a QR code which can be scanned so you can purchase the pictures after your ride which is nice 😊

The London Eye is an interesting experience that I was glad that I went on, but I am not sure if I would recommend. It offers great views of the city but I understand that The Shard and Sky Garden also can do this. Heck, the coffee shop at Tate Modern also has great views and it is free to go up. We had booked a time and were waiting for our slot, when we arrived 15 minutes early to join an extremely long queue. I was very surprised how quickly the line went and we actually boarded the ride at our allocated time. I suspect if we arrived early (within reason), we could have got on sooner rather than waiting around. Getting on and off was easy, even though the ride didn't stop. The entire trip lasted about 30 minutes and was very relaxing. Obviously the views were great, but I `think that I would have spent less time if I had gone up the Shard or Sky Garden, as the ride seemed to trudge along. The are definitely opportunities to get discounted tickets: book online or in the visitor centre or with the London Pass. Since the line went quick, I wouldn't pay extra for a fast path.

Right next to the houses of Parliament and across from Westminster Abbey just down the road from Buckingham Palace. And then there is number 10. Definitely make time to go to this iconic land Mark.

It was really cool getting off the Westminster stop on the Tube and walking straight up to see Big Ben towering above it’s such an iconic sight. Even if London isn’t your favorite city, this landmark will definitely impress you.

At first I was worried I wouldn’t be able to follow the system or get myself lost. Which I did, end up going the wrong way. But it’s actually so easy to follow, it’s good to make a few errors as then you will be conscious of ensuring you’re on the right tube. London Underground is amazing and it is really easy to get around and see places. I would walk around central London. Use the underground when going further afield. The trains are very regular, you will find they can get very busy, packed. Don’t feel you need to squeeze in, just wait for the next train as it will add to your experience and enjoy it better. As you would anywhere just be vigilant of your surroundings. I felt very safe, as a solo traveler I was very surprised.

As a visitor, you can’t ask for a better system to get about to major museums, etc. You get to ride with both the working class and executives alike. Iconic London ! Takes a little getting used to, if you need to travel in the City, it’s the way to go. As a visitor, we purchased a Visitor Oyster Card online, it’s a fantastic deal. Recommended.

This is a good way to get around London. The new trains and updated stations are good. It is easy to get a ticket and to get around. However, the ventilation is poor, horrible, hot, and sweaty. It makes for an unbearable and uncomfortable ride. However, some of the trains and train stations have proper ventilation and air but most do not. I only take one train with no transfers, which is all that I can bear, and walk just to be outside where I can breath easy. I caution you to only ride when necessary and recommend you walk outside if able.

These shops are all closed for good. I could rattle on about the good old days, (people actually pay to hear about it) and a book would be better; it would take a book, pdf, file, whatever to explain how much it has changed. Point? Many but the main one is: Thanks to Bid Rigging the same people keep getting rich fulfilling contracts that do nothing but cosmetic change. I'd rather see the old retailers (driven out by sky high rent, business taxes, business rates that the the big corporate retailers. Btw/ if you come to London be prepared to lug your suitcase up and down many flights of stairs. Of course the bureaucracy will point to "no step access" (only lawsuits by disabled brought that in) and there are more lifts (elevators), yes this is better than nothing - - lucky find one lift 20 years ago. The old, dirty, extremely noisy rolling stock in Central London is the same. Recently you could still find "MetroCamell" 1973. John Lennon probably on one. Sure, they Spent £16 Billion over budget and late) on a new Elizabeth Line. It's a nice reflection on what we have - - tourists are in central London for the sights, not off to Abby Wood (the other one) and to have them riding the clittering, clanking, clattering collection of caligenous junk - - (think Wizard of Oz to the Tin Man) is a disgrace.

Great place to visit for big brands and save some money. Plenty of parking across the road but it does have a 6 hour max parking limit. I know this is plenty of time but if you spend the day here shopping, eating and using the cinema or swimming pool, you could easily be here longer than 6 hours. So just be conscious of time. There are disabled and parent and child spaces available. There was some building work going on in the car park today so a lot of the parent and child spaces were inaccessible but this will only be temporary. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in the retail park side and there are a few in the village too. There are some smaller vans/cafés inside the shopping area too. Only knocked off a star because there a quite a few empty units and it's really noticeable. Definitely needs some other shops opening up soon. Overall it's a great place that I'd recommend any time.

Great shopping outlet with plenty of both high street and designer shops so you can buy pretty much anything. There are also numerous restaurants so everybody is catered for. Ample parking and easy to get to. The shops are all outdoors so remember a coat in the winter! Will definitely go back.

I have visited this outlet location after a long time. Some stuff deserve attention but overall it's not as cheap as you expect to be for an outlet. Good vibe , a place to go out for an afternoon especially during the weekend. Avoid places like Nike outlet or any other over hyped brand, being packed with people messing everything shelved or displayed. Coffee is coffee, sweets are sweets, parking your car and getting out need skills, energy and time. If you're local, great, if not.....

Visiting The National Gallery was truly a magical experience. From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the atmosphere and every room tells a different story through its paintings. The layout makes it easy to explore, and the colors, details, and emotions in each artwork are breathtaking. It’s not just a museum but it’s a journey through art and history that leaves you inspired and full of wonder.

It was a wonderful experience. The museum has a good collection of Monet and Van Gogh paintings, which I really enjoyed. For just an afternoon, it’s possible to see everything without getting too tired, though you could easily spend a whole day if you want to study the works in detail. We visited on November 17, and there was also a Christmas market outside the museum, which added a very festive atmosphere.

A very spacious series of galleries housing some of the best known images in the international art world. With a restaurant and toilets and plenty of friendly guides you can easily spend a day here, or just pop in and revisit your favourites. It may look daunting from the outside but the new entrance makes the whole place accessible for anyone. Children of any age will find something to look at and many school trips visit and no they don't disturb the 'grown ups'! A teashop, restaurant, bookshop and well stocked shop make this a day, or two to remember.

I can say that I love this museum. Seeing such a collection of paintings for free is just amazing nowadays. There are beautiful paintings in every room. I could spend a day to visit it. Just do not forged taking a map at the entrance as this is a pretty large museum. French, Spanish, Italian, English, Deutsche… painters from middle age to impressionists. A pretty large collection of Impressionists paintings that can rival with that of Musée d’Orsay in France. Only the Louvre in France is more impressive (but far from being free) among all painting museums that I visited all other the world (with a special notice for Grenoble and Poitier’s painting museum that are great place to visit too).

The National Gallery, a one place to see history through paintings. As usual this gallery is free for entery and quite big so plan ahead. You can book free online ticket or walkin. Tube connectivity is there. Plan to enjoy and take photos from outside squar also. There is a paid washroom available outside. You get chance to see a lot of historical paintings and know about the artist. Due to limited time I was not able to complete it. Wear comfortable shoes and carry water if possible.

I visited the National Gallery today and absolutely loved it. It’s an absolute must visit place when in London, and you can spend hours wandering from room to room, never running out of things to look at. One of the highlights for me was seeing some of Monet’s pieces in person, a moment I’ve been looking forward to for so long. Standing in front of his work felt surreal, and it was worth the entire trip on its own. I highly recommend paying the galley a visit, especially because it’s free entry!

If you’re in London, you must visit this place. I stopped by during an 8 hour layover, and even though I couldn’t take my time the way I wanted to, it was absolutely worth it. The collection is stunning, wall after wall of masterpieces you could spend hours admiring. I barely scratched the surface and already felt amazed. I’ll definitely be coming back on a proper trip so I can truly enjoy and appreciate everything this museum has to offer.

What a place to visit. The world meets in London and I hope it continues that way. Everything is well organized, spaced and placed. It’s my second time in there and am keen to go back more times. This is not a one day visit you need few times to cover the whole Musuem. Recommend to come with comfortable shoes

Went on a Thursday in half term time, it was incredibly busy, loads of children! It was still a nice experience for my kids, they loved it. You need a couple of days to visit the whole museum, especially if you are looking to study anything in particular. Limited choices on thw food in the food court area and expect London prices but there is also a high end restaurant at the top. Own food and drinks are permitted only in the designated area. We will definitely come again to see and study other areas.

It’s free to visit; however, when you think about all the pieces taken away from their motherlands, it does feel a bit bittersweet. :) Make sure to book your tickets in advance — it gets busy! I recently visited the V&A with a friend to see the Cartier Exhibition. It was great, even though it was a bit crowded, which meant no hanging about. However, there were opportunities to return to an exhibit if you wished. I visited on a lovely autumn afternoon and the colourful trees outside added to my enjoyment. There's also a beautiful cafe for a wide selection of food and drinks. It's one of my favourite museums to visit as they put on great exhibitions on a wide variety of subjects. I recommend it highly as a wonderful place to visit anytime.

If you’re anywhere near South Kensington, the Victoria & Albert Museum is one of those places you absolutely must pop into. As someone who’s lived in England for years, I can honestly say the V&A never gets old. What surprised me the most on my recent visit was just how incredible the ceramics collection is. If you’re even slightly into pottery, porcelain, glazes, or anything to do with craft and kiln work, you’ll be blown away. There are shelves and walls filled—and I mean filled—with pieces from all over the world, from tiny delicate bowls to massive vases taller than a child. You could easily spend half a day in the ceramics section alone. And it’s not just ceramics. The museum has an impressive range of sculptures as well—scrubbs, marble carvings, classical statues, and pieces that make you wonder how on earth someone carved something so smooth out of stone. You walk through a hall and suddenly you’re surrounded by history in 360 degrees. The jewellery gallery is another highlight. It’s not just “oh that’s pretty”—it’s genuinely fascinating. Crowns, brooches, rings, intricate metalwork… some pieces are hundreds of years old, shining under the lights like they were made yesterday. One thing I really love about the V&A is how hands-on it feels. They’ve got sections where you can take a closer look at materials, textures, and even a few areas where touching certain samples is allowed. And if you love photography or design, the V&A has a bit of everything—fashion, textiles, prints, historical photos. It’s like a treasure chest that never ends. Honestly, if you’re truly into art, craftsmanship, or history, one day is nowhere near enough. You think you’ll breeze through it, but the more you look, the more there is. It’s the kind of place where you follow one hallway, and suddenly you’ve discovered an entirely new world. So yes—highly recommended. The artifacts linked to Maharaja Ranjit Singh—his weapons, jewelry, and artistic treasures—were beautifully preserved and displayed with great respect. Seeing them filled me with immense pride for my heritage. The staff at the museum were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Each section was well-explained and thoughtfully organised. For anyone interested in Punjab, Sikh history, or Indian heritage, the V&A Museum is truly a treasure. I highly recommend this museum to every traveller visiting London. It’s not just a museum—it’s a place where you feel connected to your roots.

Such an Amazing Museum. Amazing exhibitions and gallery and displays to view your mind. Make sure to have 4 hours spare to take in all the displays. World class. Take well organised. Great food in the cafe at a reasonable price. Make sure to dine in the Victorian cafe.

A Truly Remarkable Day! I simply can't recommend the membership strongly enough! My visit to the Marie Antoinette exhibition today was truly remarkable. Not only was the collection breathtaking, but the staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout the day. My daughter and I wore period-style Marie Antoinette costumes, and it was lovely to feel welcomed and celebrated. Every single person we encountered was charming and pleasant. What a fantastic museum experience!

Free to enter for their main exhibits, except for special exhibitions. But there's plenty to see and explore in the different courts, organised by theme, geographical area and time period. Wheelchair accessible Look out for the giant statue of David in the Cast Courts, as well as the rather large pillar of Trajan. Also, the collection of sculptures donated by Auguste Rodin. If you like Jewellery, head up to 2F.

You can book a time slot ticket for free online before hand. This ensures you dont have to queue if it gets too busy. Truly a must visit Museum in London. There are so many different exhibitions that you can easily spend 3 hours here. Of course the main attraction is the Blue whale skeleton, called hope. It weighs 4.5tonnes and measures 25.2m long. This is a real blue whale skeleton and not a model! Can you imagine! There is a dinosaur exhibition and for your info, most of the bones on display are actual dinosaur bones! If you see its dated, then its real dinosaur bones. Other than that there are other paid exhibitions available throughout the museum.

The museum is well-maintained and full of interesting collections. Natural History Museum in London and was truly impressed. The building itself is stunning with its grand architecture and detailed interior. The dinosaur and gemstone exhibits were fascinating and well-organized. I especially enjoyed the interactive sections that make learning fun for both kids and adults. Spending few hours here may not enough. I recommend booking paid tickets for elderly visitors.

Always love going to museums where ever I go to take in the local perspective. It is free entry with donation recommended, which is easy once you see what this place has to offer. This would have been one of the larger sites I have visited in my travels. It has a large variety of collections spanning several floors. I really enjoyed most of the galleries I saw, with their interactive displays that complement the static representations. We literally spent all afternoon their until close and still didn't get a chance to see the whole building. Missing out on the Darwin, and some of the green sector. From what we did see the rest of the place would be just as amazing. Since it's free entry it can definitely be a 2 day walk about. The place is large and requires a bit of sauntering. There are lots of benches and presentations that you can sit while you watch. Which is nice for those who have mobility challenges. Overall, a great visit but if you really like to hit every inch, it's a whole day visit so keep that in mind.

Well kept clean and spacious. Wheel chair acess though out and entering with no steps . Its extremely hot inside even in November. Could do with air conditioning. Lots of history with lots of animals. Great for kids all ages and adults. Toilets and disabled toilets on site with a cafe which is rather expensive so I would recommend brining yours own lunch in if you are a family. 2 coffees and a cookie was approximately £15 . Over all a great experience and very educational. If you home educate your children its worth a day trip in to London to visit the museum. Hot peanuts with honey out side are delicious 😋 pre book tickets for free on line to avoid quing. Pre booked Tickets walk straight in and que jump !

Today, I took a group of elderly visitors with dementia to the London History Museum. Our group varied in mobility — some were able to walk independently, one used a walker, and two were in wheelchairs. We had a brilliant time exploring the different rooms, and the earthquake experience was truly amazing and impactful for everyone. The museum was quite busy with several school groups, which did raise some concerns. One of my members was bumped into twice by a school group, causing them to become unsteady on their feet. While the school group was apologetic, the situation was a little disappointing. The only drawbacks were that the toilets are quite spread out across the museum, and the lifts were sometimes difficult to use due to limited capacity and unclear floor labels. Despite this, we managed to navigate successfully. It was nice to see seating areas scattered around the rooms, providing opportunities for rest. Booking disability parking was straightforward and very helpful, with friendly staff assisting us both on arrival and when we left. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I’d love to return with my family next time for a more flexible visit

For a free entry this museum was absolutely incredible. A very wide variety of exhibits from a multitude of scientific fields. Definitely take your time and explore the entire building. Enjoyed looking at all the different animal exhibits. The dinosaur section of the museum was very fascinating to go through 🦖. I also enjoyed the geological sections. It really does seem that the museum is promoting education at no price! 👨‍🔬 A must visit if you're in the area.

Had a good time with family, spent around 2hrs at the venue.kudos to the entire team for excellent crowd control. Around 80% of the wax statue look stunning and fantastic, rest felt like a dummy one. The special attraction was "Spirit of London" ride, which is a themed taxi ride through the city's history, and not a conventional train ride. The ride uses iconic black cabs to take visitors on a 5-minute journey through London's history and cultural events which also includes wax figures, immersive exhibits, and a 4D cinema.

Had a great time! There’s quite a collection to explore, with some truly fascinating stories, science section and even a few spooky horror rooms. The organisation and presentation were excellent, and the cable ride through centuries of history was absolutely epic! I didn’t see many staff around, but I didn’t really need any help. Overall, I had an amazing time and would highly recommend it!

I had an amazing experience at the Madame Tuassads London. I have already been to other places but this one was different. In addition to various wax statues there was a ride which was very beautiful. Also there was 3D show which was star of the whole lot. Would highly recommend even if you have visited other wax museums. Its clean and wait time is not much.

Madame Tussauds was such a fun experience! The wax figures look unbelievably real ,it’s like walking through a celebrity world. The Marvel and Royal Family sections were my favourites. It does get busy, but totally worth it for the photos and the atmosphere.

I was a bit hesitant about going here, if it's really worth the money... And it is! We enjoyed this interactive experience very much! It's fun and I very much appreciated it is not just the wax figures (which are impressive by themselves), but I was excited about the Marvel 3D experience, the little "taxi" drive through the history of London or the scary horror cellar :) What was dissapointing was the price of the photos they take for you (25 pounds?!). But otherwise perfect way to spend a memorable afternoon (at least 3 hours recommended!), totally recommended. PS: pleasant surprise at the end of our visit was the London Eye tickets for 10£ offer.

I cannot express how amazing this farm is! The staff were absolutely incredible, my friends son and my daughter have SEN needs and one of them being in a wheelchair and as accessible as a farm goes, it was very much what was to be expected. The animals were absolutely gorgeous, we definitely went at the right time as there were lots of gorgeous lambs which I got to hold, little chicks we held also and as for the staff KILEY, you were fabulous, keeping everyone informed on all the animals, making us laugh which still being very informative. Such an amazing experience. We are from Kent and we would travel up there on a regular basis for that experience! Thank you so much for such a wonderful day!

Visited the farm today for an Adult farm experience day……Fantastic afternoon spent with Farmer Kiley and Finn…..well organised ….We had such a lovely time seeing all the animals and being able to get close and handle them, feeding cows, goats, alpacas and various other farm animals and even hand milking a cow. A very informative tour around the family run farm, would definitely recommend this to any animal lovers.

This was my second visit to Boydells Dairy Farm and it was just as enjoyable as the first. It’s a very hands-on experience...you can milk a cow, hand feed the lambs, stroke guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, goats and even a turkey. The farmer is great at explaining everything in a way that’s both funny and informative, so it keeps both children and adults engaged. You can also hold a chick, walk around to see the sheep, horses and donkeys and we even got to stroke a baby alpaca. If you have young children, they’ll love the tractor ride, which is just £1 per child. There’s a picnic area, so it’s worth bringing food, and the farm shop is reasonably priced with cuddly toys and fresh eggs laid by the chickens. A lovely day out...we’ll definitely be back again next year.

Such a gorgeous location, a beautiful farm with gorgeous animals in good health. Lovely members of staff who are very knowledgeable and passionate, always something going on and so many beautiful things for children to get involved in. Reasonably priced entry and a gorgeous picnic area too.

We had such a great time at the farm — not once did we hear the words “I’m bored!” The experience was the perfect mix of fun and learning. The kids (and adults!) had a blast meeting the animals, and we all walked away having learned so much about them. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were amazing — full of interesting facts and the kind of cheesy dad jokes that had everyone laughing. It’s clear a lot of care and love goes into running this place. Highly recommend for families looking for a memorable day out. We’ll definitely be back! 🐐🐓🐄🌾

I took the Stansted Express from London Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport, and it was a smooth and comfortable journey! The train is very clean, modern, and fast, with only two short stops before reaching the airport. It's the best option if you want a direct and hassle-free trip. The ride is about 45–50 minutes, and everything runs on time. Important tip: Don’t throw away your ticket! You’ll need to scan the same QR code again when exiting at Stansted Airport. A few people forgot and had trouble getting through the gates. Overall, a very professional and efficient service – I highly recommend it for anyone flying from Stansted!

Great parking experience near Stansted Airport! Booking in advance saved me a lot, and the process was completely hassle-free. The free pick-up and drop-off service to the airport was quick and convenient — highly recommended!

Parked on longstay parking 86£ for four nights. Easy to find and the a bus will take you directly to the airport departure same as when coming back. Advise: take a photo of where you parked your car and the zone cause the parking is so big it’s easy to miss where you parked your car.

Honestly cannot complain. Took the Stansted Express four times in the past two months and had no issues whatsoever. Clean, announcements are clearly understandable, seats comfortable. Multiple working restrooms on board. There are always enough seats for everyone as these trains run every 15 mins. You won’t get bothered by staff aslong as you have a valid ticket – obviously. Signs everywhere tell you to buy the ticket in advance through the website. Book early and pay just £20 for both ways, not bad at all!

I do not recommend this train operator due to their lack of reliability and transparency in applying their own terms and conditions. The company advertises a Delay Repay scheme that guarantees compensation for delays of 15 minutes or more. However, in practice, they do not honour this promise, even in clear and well-documented cases. On 4 September 2025, there was a major signal failure/points failure which resulted in my train being delayed by over one hour. This delay was publicly displayed on station boards and confirmed by station staff. Despite this, the operator claims that “no delay of 15 minutes or more was found.” This response is unacceptable and seriously undermines trust in their compensation process. It is extremely disappointing that the company sets its own rules and then fails to follow them. Their Delay Repay scheme appears to be a promise made for marketing purposes only, without being upheld in practice. Based on my experience, I believe passengers are not treated fairly and are left without the compensation they are entitled to. I strongly advise other travellers to thoroughly document their journeys, as the operator’s system may not reflect the actual delay. Not recommended.

Ease of use and location is a plus for a train into London

I have never seen an airport like this, even in the third world. They have a lack of seats, people has to sit in the floor. They only had 2 toilets before to pass the security and they closed one of them at night . Disgusting and inhuman place .

I had such a wonderful time visiting Linton Zoo for the first time! It’s a lovely little gem with a nice variety of animals to see. I really enjoyed being able to stroll around at my own pace, as it felt much more relaxed compared to other zoos I’ve been to. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly, which made the experience even better! Considering what the zoo offers, I definitely think the entrance fee is worth it. I can’t wait to go back again soon!

A small zoo, but enjoyable nevertheless. Very reasonable price to get in, although it is odd that a child over 13 is classed as an adult! The cafe was nice and made a good cuppa. I liked that there was seating all around the park, which is a real bonus for the more senior visitor. It wasn't too busy, which was great as three of us are autistic, and there were lots of open spaces we could easily move to if we did find anything overwhelming. A really nice afternoon.

Very small zoo, all animals look very tired like the zoo itself, it’s a shame as they do have few lovely animals there. Just need some work to modernise and bring it back to life. Kids were disappointed as not much to do and see there. 1pm zoo keepers took a snail and a tortoise out were the highlight. We miss some feeding times as there is no timetable for the day. Only say it on the sign by the animal cage. No picnic allowed inside, there is a small playground outside with some picnic tables. With the price they charge, £40 one adult and two kids, I’d expect much more activities, the whole place just lacks of energy and it’s just dull.

Lovely little zoo to visit. Clean and tidy toilet area. No food inside the zoo, however there is a picnic area outside in the car park with a nice sized play park. Had a bacon and cheese burger which was delicious and the kids had the kids lunch box which they really enjoyed. Animals look very well cared for. Staff were very friendly and helpful. At 1pm they came out with a tortoise and an African land snail for everyone to see and touch near the cafe area. Kids loved the dinosaurs and the animal statues! The zoo does look very dated and needs some upkeep. Such as a lick of paint here and there and some new fences etc. A fair amount of the enclosures are very overgrown to the point you can’t see in at all. There used to be a nice play park inside the zoo, but is no longer there, which is disappointing. There were some beautiful flowers at the back of the zoo. Which really brighten the zoo up. Lovely day out for the family for a few hours. Would visit again and recommend.

This zoo is relatively small but charming, with a lot of greenery that adds to its appeal. It’s a peaceful place to visit, especially on a day with good weather but some of the enclosures feel too small for the animals, which is a bit concerning. The food options, unfortunately, are really poor and disappointing. Overall, it’s a nice spot for a tranquil outing, though improvements in facilities would enhance the experience.

Great little zoo. It is smaller than your average zoo but there are lions, tigers, snow leopards, zebras and a wide variety of birds. The entrance fee was ok but there was limited difference between an adult and a 13 and under as a child. There is no family ticket but there was advice that children under 16 had to be attended at all times which is contradictory to the entrance fee. Overall a very positive experience.

Wonderful zoo, with some amazing staff, interesting animals and enclosures. Lots of maintenance being done and improvements. Great stuff!

Great tour of vineyard, interesting and knowledgeable guide. Lovely wine tasting, excellent "champagne". Only let down was the afternoon tea - it was all factory made, Mr Kipling-type cakes.

Had an incredible afternoon here. Recieved a voucher for wine tasting tour and afternoon tea for our wedding and used it for our first anniversary. Had a brilliant tour from David who was knowledgeable and very funny, learnt all about wine making and tasting and a beautiful afternoon tea. They even gave us a special balloon as a lovely gesture for our anniversary. Highly highly recommend this!

Amazing tour / lunch. A great explanation of the the whole vineyard and of wines and tasting by our guide. The sparkling wine is amazing. The Chancellor is worth every penny. English wines are seriously good. Go and try it if you don't believe me.👍

We spent a lovely afternoon at Chilford Hall. Vineyard tour and afternoon tea. Out tour guide was very helpful, gave a fantastic well informed tour, with a wine 🍷 tasting session. Lovely atmosphere highly recommend! See you again!

A fantastic tour, tea and tasting. Very well presented and some fascinating insights into wine and wine making. The only thing that would have been better is that the tours were somewhat static. You walked to one location, and stayed there for a lengthy chat, rather than exploring the area. We stood in one spot and looked at the vineyard, rather than walk along or around it. Same again at the winery, we stood in one place for a lengthy conversation. It was all interesting, just a bit static for my personal taste. With that said, it was a lovely visit, a delicious afternoon tea, and some great wines. The Graduate and Three Tunns was very good!

Wine tour tasting and afternoon tea. 1.30 tea coffee, 2pm tour starts. Pushchair friendly. 20 min walk out to the feild where the vines grow. 25 min ish discussion /questions on grape vines. Walk back and visit press and fermenting stations. 25 min duscussion/questions on processes. 30 mins to taste and discuss 5 different wines. April may june white and rose, sparkling tastings. July and August tastings of red wine too. Afternoon tea served about 4.15pm after wine tasting finished when you can then purchase wine by glass or bottle. Very interesting to hear about grape harvesting and wine making process. Sandwiches were a bit crusty so not sure when they were cut before being served.
