The building itself is pretty cool. Some of the exhibitions are nice. They have headphones but only in Danish. The roof top sky walk is fun to take photos of.
suppose I hate modern art as most of this was dreadful to my eyes. I did like the landscape paintings and a few others but most of it was weird, bad or just utter nonsense. The two women cutting onions was the biggest joke they called art. I don’t get the rainbow roof either, so what? It’s tinted glass, for kids or Instagram/TikTokers it may be good but not for adults.

The aarhus art museum is what I was looking forward to see for awhile now and I got the chance to do it today. I was a bit disappointed from the expectations as they do have 10 floors but in reality only 7-8. The highest floor has the rainbow colored glass and This is definitely the best part of the museum in my opinion. 2 levels below it as the human art which was decent. The floor below it was okay. And all the other floors wasn't worth checking out. 2 floors were for a younger audience. So if you're going as a family it may be worth visiting all the floors. If you're all adults. You may not stay there for super long. They have a cafeteria and toilets as well as Free WiF, they have a button that slows down the rotating door which is good for bad walkers or wheelchair usersi. It's not a bad place but not a super interesting one either in my opinion.
Beautiful museum. A lot of stairs, but there are elevators available for people with difficulty to walk. We loved the interactive art area. We appreciated that the front desk employee warned us for a scarier exposition on the third floor, since we brought our child. That way we could avoid it.
What could have made the experience so much better would be if they’d implement a play area for young children. Young kids can get bored or overwhelmed and it would be nice if they could de-stimulate in a play area/child friendly area. That way someone can watch the kids in the play area while the other can enjoy art in peace. The rainbow panorama is very noisy. This could trigger you if you’re sound sensitive. Best is to bring some kind of noise cancelling for a better experience.
There was so much amazing art in this museum. It’s definitely worth a visit. Parking is a bit difficult. We went on a workday and there were very few parking spots available.

This museum is a hidden gem. There are 9 floors full of different kinds of art, and the collections never felt too repetitive like the large world-class art museums sometimes do. Floor 0 and all the installments must be checked out; our favorite was the Storm Room haha! I think total I spent 4 hours here, but I went back later in the day before it closed so luckily you can break it up a bit if you need to.
A great museum for a wide range of art, from paintings to 3D sculptures and the rainbow circle of glass on top. The building itself was super cool, especially the internal «courtyard» in the middle with its bridges spanning across the ravine. Enjoyed my visit and will def revisit if I get back to Århus!

The Old Town, also known as Den Gamle By, is a captivating open-air museum in Aarhus, Denmark. It features over 75 historic buildings dating from the 16th to the early 20th century, meticulously collected and preserved to recreate an authentic market town from the time of Hans Christian Andersen. The museum offers a glimpse into Denmark's past with its well-preserved houses, shops, workshops, and windmills that still function as they did in bygone eras.
This place is amazing for kids and adults. It was the highlight of our 3 day trip to Aarhus. We especially loved the 1922 cafe (where we bought coffee and pastries prepared, baked, and served like in the original time) and the historic bakery (where we bought actual bread and pastries that would have been available on the original time). The other buildings and exhibits are great too. The festival grounds were especially loved by our 4 year old. Overall, one of the best open air museums we've been to.

Absolutely amazing place! It really is like you are back in time. It was so interesting walking around fully immersed in the past. You could maybe spend all day here if you really took your time. My favourite thing in Aarhus and possibly the best musuem I’ve been to!
A wonderful step back in times past, representing many eras, cultures and historic events. Great for the family and history buffs. This spacious recreation is thoughtfully laid out walking through the Vikings to 1970s in the form of Main Street, museum of artifacts, village recreations and country estate with authentic trade shops. Historic coffee and bakery from the 1800s was inviting and delicious. Preteens may not appreciate the historical context of Aarhus, said to be the first civilized port of the Viking era. Well maintained and mostly accessible. Loved our visit
The absolutely beautiful museum took me back in time. I loved the 1970s themed arrangements the most. We had the perfect opportunity to visit during the K7 week too.

What a fun experience. See housing, shops and vocational skills from several different time periods. Well maintained, picturesque area, and friendly hosts. Cute gift shop, too, that offers a variety of options from candy and toys, to kitchen gadgets, books, and ornaments.
Our first stop this morning was to The Old Town Museum (known as Den Gamle By). It is a museum that allows visitors to have a feel of the architecture and culture of the different eras – particularly the years 2014, 1974, 1927 and 1864. Even the streets have been remodelled accordingly with the cobbled streets belonging to an older era and smoother streets to the more modern era.
You will see that the entire Old Town museum in Aarhus is immersive in that you can enter different buildings and learn about the history of that particular building. There are also period actors that would perhaps be a blacksmith, a backer and even a brewer – whom you can interact with to learn more about what they are doing...

Den Gamle By is a very cool experience. We spent over 6 hours exploring all of the homes, businesses and gardens that have been recreated/ reconstructed. Good variety of food and drink options as you make your way through. Quite a lot of interactions set up in many of the exhibits, and the rotary phones you can use to call businesses in the town are such a fun idea.
Stepping into Aarhus Old Town is like time travel! You'll love wandering its charming cobblestone streets, admiring the beautifully preserved old buildings. It's truly an open-air museum, brimming with Danish history and a delightful, authentic atmosphere. Don't miss this captivating journey back in time!

A very nice zoo, where they take good care of their animals. Informative signs with a lot of fun facts. The biomes for the rainforest species and penguins are amazing, but bring a cardigan if you want to stay for feeding time in the latter, it's quite chilly (as it should be)!
Super nice zoo, the animals are well taken care of and they have a good time here. The park is nice to walk through, sometimes it is a little impossible to follow the main trail via the map. But that just makes the adventure more interesting. I am totally in love with the king penguins, they are so big!
For me I feel that the enclosures could be a little bigger but I am not an expert after too course.
Really cozy place, animals are in a really good condition and have clean enclosures.
I would recommend to buy a ticket online, so you don’t have to stand in the queue for tickets :)
Such an incredible zoo! There were so many animals to see and it was clear that they were really well looked after. One of the true highlights of Odense.
Beautiful zoo, the main route to follow is clear, plenty of food/drink stalls, and you had the possibility to walk in (or around) some animal area's to really get close to the animals.

Entry to Legoland is via a walkway from the hotel.
Breakfast is good. Lots of options to suit many tastes.
The restaurant also caters for dinner as well, with a menu that does offer some Danish food.

Beautiful park, some areas could need a little touch-up / love, but we absolutely loved it. There is something for everyone. I especially adored all the attention to details. A dog bowl in Lego etc. Halloween isn’t really a thing where we’re from, so we were surprised to see the whole park decorated. (Since we forgot that we were going in the week of Halloween) It was a pleasant surprise and made the whole experience feel magical.
The prices change when pre ordering tickets depending on date, it was wise to order them with a discount online, the day before we went.
We just visited during the autumn holiday and had an absolute blast on the rides! The atmosphere was great, and we treated ourselves to some delicious churros too 👀
I was also there in summer and had such a fun time - especially on the water-themed rides like the canoe and the pirate boat 💦

A fantastic place for kids and families! The park is cozy, creative, and full of fun details everywhere you look. I recommend going on a day when it’s less crowded – it makes the experience so much better (we loved being able to walk straight through the queues without waiting).
The attractions are varied and suit all ages, from the smallest rides to the bigger roller coasters, and of course the incredible LEGO builds all around the park. It really feels like stepping into another world.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Denmark, and I’d recommend buying your tickets in advance to save time at the entrance.
This place is so fun my 3 children had a blast. They have many rides that even my 1 year old can go on, providing that we held her in our lap or sat next to her. The rides are diverse, the line ups were not too long. All in all a fantastic experience. Only criticism would be we should have had 2 full days to see everything, it's a lot if you only have 1 day.
We visited in September, and Legoland was a bit of a disappointment. It’s the oldest Legoland, and you can tell - everything looks a bit faded, there’s some cobwebs here and there, and it’s not very clean overall. Inside there’s a great big LEGO store, but the prices are higher than in the Netherlands. It only really makes sense to buy the limited editions - though, to be honest, they’re not particularly exciting either.
Overall, if you’re traveling from another country just for Legoland, it might be worth considering other destinations. But don’t forget - there’s also the LEGO House in Billund, and that place is really great.
Fun for a whole day for both small kiddos and adults. Plenty of spaces to sit down and eat the lunch you bring (and you should bring one, because food in the park is expensive).
The Atlantis sea world part was very cool with live fish aquariums to look at.
We were there on a Friday in October on a mostly cloudy day and it was the perfect amount of people - we only had to queue for the biggest thrill rides and even then only 15min. All other attractions was max 5 minutes wait, so we could even do all rides multiple times if we wanted to.
Pay for parking in advance for smoother experience.
Visiting LEGO in Billund is a truly unique experience for both kids and adults who love LEGO bricks. The entire place is filled with creativity, interactive exhibits, and playful energy that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into the heart of the LEGO world. There’s also an exclusive shop where you can buy special sets that are sold only here and can’t be found in any other LEGO store worldwide.
One of the highlights is the LEGO restaurant, where your menu comes with instructions showing which bricks to assemble to “order” your meal. After building the required combination, you drop the bricks into a box on the table, where the tiny LEGO Chefs take over—and a moment later, your food arrives on a conveyor belt inside a giant LEGO brick. An unforgettable and fun experience that adds even more magic to the visit.

Amazing place with a unique experience that lets you walk through different parts of the globe. I loved how much attention to detail was put into everything, and the design often includes funny little scenarios—like taking a bath with a penguin or the sheep pyramid! It’s incredibly creative, yet the landscapes still feel realistic.
The night and day versions of the cities are a very cool twist. Also, all the robotics and technology behind the functioning train system—without any crashes—is mind-blowing. I especially enjoyed getting a behind-the-scenes look at the newest addition.
One thing to note: it’s a huge place to explore, so plan your visit accordingly to give yourself enough time to enjoy it without rushing from room to room. It can also get quite busy, so be patient and dedicate a full day if possible. There’s a café and food area if you want to take a break during your visit.
Definitely recommend it! I’d love to come back and get even more lost in the details.
Absolutely one of the best attractions in Hamburg — and honestly, one of the most impressive exhibits I’ve ever seen. Miniatur Wunderland is massive and filled with astonishing detail. Most Germanic (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) countries and regions have their own area, complete with moving trains, planes, ships, lights, and tiny human stories happening everywhere you look.
You could easily spend 3–4 hours here and still not catch everything. It’s not just for model train fans — it’s for anyone who appreciates creativity, craftsmanship, and a bit of magic. The nighttime lighting effects, airports, and little surprises hidden throughout make it incredibly fun for both kids and adults.
It can get crowded, so I recommend booking a time slot early in the morning or later in the evening if you can. There’s a café inside with good snacks and drinks for a quick break between sections.
Truly a must-see — whether you’re visiting Hamburg for a day or a week, Miniatur Wunderland is worth every minute.

Wanted to see this for years and now I've ticked it iff my bucket list! This is hands down the BEST minature railway and car layout you'll ever see! So much to see, you can easily spend all day here! Don't bring the missus, that will only reduce your fun! Definitely get tickets in advance, they sell out quick!
Its easy to see why this is fast becoming the top attraction in Hamburg. Its so much fun and that's consistent with everyone whonis wondering about around you. So much detail that ypu definitely need a visit to the bistro to allow your eyes and brain to catch up. Fantastic day out for everyone. Go. You will be talking about it for a while to come.
As a model railway enthusiast, I have been looking forward to coming to Hamburg to visit Miniatur Wunderland and the truth is that it worth it!
I was delighted with the visit and I want to congratulate the whole team for all the impressive work that goes into every part of the model! The technique, the operation, the quality of the details, I love everything in general, especially the airport!! I also really enjoyed being able to eat in the Miniatur Wunderland restaurant.
I am sure that in the future I will definitely visit this wonderful place again!

I had a fantastic experience walking through the Old Elbtunnel! It only takes about 10 minutes to walk from one side to the other, and the views when you reach the other side are really cool. The tunnel itself has a unique charm. Best of all, it's completely free! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hamburg.

We took ship tour instead of strolling along the pier. Thereby we could have an overall idea about the harbor area and came with some great buildings to appreciate. For instance, Elbphilharmonie ! 🙂
Beautiful spot next to the South entrance of the Alter Elb Tunnel, and perfect if you want a panoramic view to the Hamburg waterfront on the North Side.
If you’re up for it, you can also go and see the other photo spot next to the “Stage Theater An Der Elbe”, 20 minutes on foot. That will bring you closer to the Elbphilharmonie building.
One of the best hidden gems in Hamburg! You can walk here through the historic Elbtunnel or take a short ferry ride from Landungsbrücken. Once there, you get an amazing panoramic view of the harbor, the Elbphilharmonie, and the city skyline.
Perfect spot for a quiet break, photos, or just watching ships go by. It’s peaceful and not too touristy. Highly recommend if you’re exploring the harbor area!

Or was a unique experience walking 450meters under the sea level in the tunnel originally constructed in 1911😍. Going up and down in such huge lifts is cool😇. The view of the port on Elbe on the other side of the tunnel is just wow. 😘
It was very impressive walking through the tunnel and ending up on the side to the viewpoint and seeing the seaport from the other side. It's a must-see when you visit Hamburg.

there was a festival at the day I arrived, so it was really crowded, full of people everywhere, but after that it was so peaceful there, the air was fresh and the water was clean, it was just so nice to sit there and enjoy the sunshine, both day and night views were so beautiful!! Hamburg is definitely one of my favorite places in Europe!
The port is just huge! We took a tour on a boat for 20€ in order to admire the majesty of the cranes and the huge ships parked on the deck being loaded by containers. There are so many things to see but you need a guide to get the full experience

Seeing water flow around is satisfying and very beautiful, Hamburg was such a good experience.
Go to the elbphilharmonie and watch the beautiful view of the port of Hamburg and entrance is free, if you have kids you can use the lift, if you boat trip at night is a bonus and costs around 20€, then a bus trip during the day also costed around 18€ for 2 hours and I must say everything was worth it
One of the most beautiful poet I have ever been. Its is so lively, you can see tons of containers, cruise ships. If you are going to Germany, make sure to add hamburg harbour in your to do list and also, have a cruise tour. Its really worth trying.
One of the favorite places for a sunday stroll. Plenty things to see. Make sure to catch the ferry 62 for a round trip on the river allowing you to see things from different perspective. Moreover there are plenty of places to eat a nice "Fischbrötchen"!

Heide Park Resort is the largest theme park in northern Germany, covering a massive 850,000m2 area with thrilling rides suitable for the whole family. From adrenaline-pumping roller coasters like Krake and Colossus to family-friendly attractions such as Wildwasserbahn and Indie-blitz, there's something for everyone. The park has reopened after the pandemic with safety measures in place, making it a fantastic experience for all ages.
It's a great entertainment center. It's in the middle of the forest, far from the city center. It's between Hamburg and Bremen. It's a 20-minute walk from Wolterdingen train station. It has a nice theme hotel inside. The hotel food is average, a little below average, but still not bad. The amusement park also has food options, which are below average. The entertainment starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m. for everyone. Hotel guests can enter half an hour early but can only queue. The attractions also start at 10 p.m. Wait times are on average 20-30 minutes. Wait times for ages 8 and under are shorter, around 5 minutes. If you're quick, you can visit and enjoy one attraction in one day. If you take it slow, it even takes two days. It's a must-see for anyone with children aged 12-29. The park design, roller coasters, and themes are all excellent. It would be great if they upgraded the food service as well.

I haven't been here in years. We arrived right when it opened and stayed until closing time. I was looking forward to coming here, and I was not disappointed. We had such a great time! The weather was mixed, which was good, as it meant that the crowds were not that large and the wait times were reduced. I went on every rollercoaster, and some even several times. The food was pretty good, too. I bought a few souvenirs and I must say the prices are really not that bad compared to other theme parks I have been to.
I was still smiling the next day!

It is a great place to spend with the family. We visited the amusement park in the middle of the week. It was great to see it is not crowed and waiting times were between 10 to max 30min for the main attractions. It makes it really enjoyable not like other parks with super long waiting time and too many people that you hardly can breath. The restaurants inside offer various dishes and the quality was good, a bit pricey though which is normal in such a park. The only thing, some of the staff or instructor at some attractions were not really friendly. They might forgot where they work.
The access to the park by car from Hamburg less than an hour was very fine. The parking space very well available. The access by public transport is a bit long though.
It is a recommended place to visit. There are entertainment available for almost all ages.
It was a really quiet day when we were there so easy to get on any ride we wanted. Everything seemed in good working order although it needed a bit of freshening up after the summer season (we were there in late September). The were still plenty of options for eating and things were reasonably priced (for a theme park!).
The ride staff were great and interacted with our children well (our children don’t speak German). Because it was quieter, they allowed us and others to just keep riding those rides without a line.

I've been to the Heide Park twice now and I can only recommend it!! Yes, it is kinda expensive but isn't every adventure park? Heide Park has a lot of different rollercoasters, which are all really exciting!! You also have a big wheel 🎡 !! Something that I think is really cool is the fact that the Heide Park has different "scenes". You walk through different worlds and it's truly fascinating!! It's a relly cool place to visit! ^^

We came from far away especially for this park, as we had promised our little daughter.
We had been here before, and she really enjoyed it and wanted to return.
We entered the park, and immediately a heavy downpour began. We went into the shop at the entrance and waited for an hour. The rain didn’t stop.
We approached customer service and asked to postpone our tickets to the following day — our request was denied.
We waited another hour and tried, for our daughter’s sake, to continue through the park. We were soaked to the bone, and all the rides were closed.
There was absolutely no way to fulfill our promise to her. Apart from walking around in the rain, there was nothing to do!
I contacted customer service by email, hoping they would show some flexibility and let us enter on another day. But no — that's their policy, with no exceptions.
After about two hours, with no sign of the rain stopping, we simply left. The disappointment for our daughter — and for us — was indescribable.
It’s truly a shame that this is how children are treated. We, the parents, pay full admission just so the kids can have fun, and the park didn’t even take this small step to accommodate us by allowing a replacement visit. What a pity!

This is an awesome place. There is so much here to enjoy - you can spend the whole day there and still not see everything. I went with my friend, four kids (6-11 years old) and a baby in a pram. It's a shame there isn't a ticket option that allows multiple entries since kids can get over-tired and distracted so they wouldn't necessarily last the whole day and I wouldn't mind another visit next time I'm in the area. However, it is really fun to explore, there are a lot of interesting exhibits, and it is fine for English speakers too. There is a pram-friendly route throughout but unfortunately it can be quite difficult to re-join your group if you get separated because you can't go up the stairs. There is poor mobile phone reception in some areas and the lifts and stairs don't seem to be near each other so it's a good idea to all stick together if it's important for your group. Tickets are fairly expensive but worthwhile if you are able to come early, stay the whole day and take full advantage of everything there is to see and do.

The museum is extremely well designed, arranged and maintained.
The different climates are brilliant and the spaces they are contained within are very immersive; at times you even forget you’re in a building.
Photos do not do justice to the areas - this is a place that must be experienced in person.

The experience was good, but I recommend it only if you have children. I was there with my girlfriend and we had fun, but we expected more excitement. The rooms are pretty small, but full of details and information and voice instructions. A little bit expensive 18 euro for after 15:00 clock and 20 euro for anytime of the day. For children it is 10-12 euro.

Fun little place to visit when you come to Germany. There are a variety of shops to check out, as well as places to grab a bite to eat. I would recommend you go early in the day to find nearby street parking.

Great time! The zoo in Emmen is truly amazing! It’s very clean and well-maintained, and the indoor jungle is absolutely stunning – a real highlight. The animals live in environments that feel almost completely natural, which makes the whole experience even more special. Wildlands ZOO in Emmen is a truly wonderful destination for families with kids and toddlers. It’s not too small, but also not too large—absolutely suitable for a two-year-old energy vampire! The park also features a roller coaster and a 6D simulator for some extra fun.
There are plenty of snack stands for when you—or your little tornadoes—get hungry. It’s great that there are some opportunities to interact with or touch certain animals. Another way to get closer to the wild side is by hopping on the safari truck or taking the boat ride. The curious giraffes are especially fun when they come right up to the viewing platforms.
We spent around five hours there during the “summer days” when the park stays open until 21:00. Honestly, six hours would probably be the sweet spot if you have a toddler along with you.

This is the best zoo I have ever visited.
The ethos is to enable interaction with the animals wherever possible and in many areas there are no fences which enables this.
Boat and safari type truck rides enable even closer interaction and the whole layout and design of the place couldn't be better.
We visited on a weekday out of season and it wasn't that busy. I would imagine that weekend or at peak season the experience wouldn't be as good due to the potential about of people so would recommend a quieter time to enjoy it most.
Food and drink prices are a bit high but the overall value for money is excellent.
We came from Utrecht by 2 hours driving, totally worth it! Good facility, new zoo from 2016, fairly modern facilities, gigantic tripical park is the highlight, feels like being in southeast Asia!
I was a little bit frustrated because I couldn't understand why the price was so high for such a small park. However, it costs them money. One thing we didn't like was the huge queue you had to wait in for getting a ride, especially when I was along with three children and there was a hidden queue by the trees (I wouldn't take it if I saw it) without a stroller (because you can't take it in a queue) for the 1-year-old... we were waiting for 1 hour, and the ride was only 5-7 minutes. Katastrophe! It spoiled all good feelings. However, the park is good. You feel really in touch with nature. There are a lot of cool animals. Butterflies and hippos were our top picks. Great workers are in the butterfly area. I would only not recommend you take the boat or safari; otherwise, everything was ok.
P.S. And also, there is no info on the website that there is only central parking, so make sure that you park your car on Qpark, or you will have to take turns and wait longer.

Went here to watch Dortmund’s Champions League game against Bilbao and it was such a nice experience. Not a Dortmund fan so I was a neutral coming there to just enjoy the experience. The building was pretty easy to access once you’re in it but it could get confusing when you’re not sure where to enter as there are north and south entrance. Clean toilet, good beer and nice atmosphere.

Movie Park, located in Bottrop-Kirchhellen, Germany, is a popular amusement park with a movie theme. We were a group of five visiting Movie Park Germany on a public holiday, and we arrived around noon. Before entering, there was a thorough security check, which I found very reassuring—it made me feel safe throughout the entire day in the park.
Inside, you can find a variety of restaurants, snack stands, and sweet stalls offering treats such as crêpes, churros, gummy bears, fries, and pizza slices. There are also plenty of restrooms located conveniently around the park.
Movie Park Germany is a fantastic destination for families with young children, but also for groups of friends or adults looking for excitement. The park features several roller coasters, ranging from family-friendly rides to adrenaline-filled thrill rides like Star Trek: Operation Enterprise, which even launches you backward, and Van Helsing’s Factory, a dark ride coaster with sharp turns. The safety measures on all attractions are excellent, and staff are very attentive.
Since we visited during the Halloween Horror Festival, we booked two of the horror houses: The Hell House and Blood Moon: The Trailer House. Both experiences were intense, immersive, and absolutely worth the extra cost. The Halloween theming across the park was very detailed and atmospheric, with actors, decorations, and special effects adding to the experience. The only downside was that the groups in the horror houses were admitted too close together, which sometimes broke the illusion and caused a bit of crowding inside.
One thing to note is the parking situation: there is no payment machine directly in the parking lot. You need to purchase your parking ticket inside the park before returning to your car. As the distance between the parking area and the park entrance is not very short, it’s definitely easier to buy the ticket in advance before heading back.
Overall, Movie Park Germany is a great choice for a fun day out, whether you love thrill rides, entertaining shows, or seasonal events like Halloween.

Very nice themed park. My kids (8, 12 and 18years old) all had a great day with the rides and shows. Not completely five stars though. The drinks are quite expensive. The food is reasonably priced. So a tip is to bring your own drinks. Further more, all rides close half an hour before closing time and some only open at 11 even though the park is open at 10. But all in all a great day out. The park is not very big in lay-out, so it is easy to go from one place to the other. Also the waiting times are not ridiculously long as in other parks.
We had purchased the tickets at a discounted price of 29€ and visited on Saturday. We reached early at the opening time and were lucky to not face long queues at most rides.
Best thing about this amusement park is that it has rides for all age groups so no one feels left out and most of the rides are super fun. We loved it to the bits and would happily visit it again.
Make sure you buy your tickets online and not at the gate as you’ll save about €20. Had a great day, did lots of attractions in only a few hours. Studio tour the ride was our favourite with some great theming and effects. It’s a fun park but for someone who’s done many Disney and Universal studios parks it lacks a little in its up keep but I don’t think that’s the parks fault but likely down to the guests as some of the details in the ques look quite worn down.
Very nice theme park in Germany. We been there with my colleagues last spring. Its not so big place but the attractions were compact and you can go in every rides for whole day. Its not also crowded and you dont need to wait for long lines to go in every attractions

We had a family trip to the movie park. It was an amazing experience.
Suitable for all ages. We were. Group of adults, a 5 years old, and a 10 years old. Everyone had an activity suitable for their age. From breathtaking rollercoasters, to family shows, to kids plays.
The best thing was that we didn't need to stand hours long on the queue for each ride.

This is the best adventure experience I’ve ever had in my life so far. No words to express my excitement and joy. I enjoyed it a lot. I hope to go there someday soon again.
I went on a Sunday with my boyfriend and, even though it was full, it was an wonderful experience!
I recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks because everything is very expensive here.
One suggestion - put the maximum heights in ALL the attractions. My boyfriend is 2,06m tall and he found, sometimes after waiting 45 minutes in line, that he couldn’t fit the attraction cars (even though they didn’t have a maximum height published at the entrance).

Having been a theme park fan for nearly two decades, I've been lucky enough to visit Walibi Holland several times over the last five years and have always had an enjoyable experience. Since my last trip, the park has really stepped up its game, adding the roller coasters Untamed and YOY, among other general improvements.
I'll start with the highlights. Untamed, the RMC conversion of their old roller coaster, is absolutely sensational. It flies through the track for a truly exhilarating ride. YOY, their new duelling single-rail roller coaster, was also great fun and is definitely a fantastic addition to the park. Another favourite of mine was Goliath, a massive coaster that glides through huge sweeping hills and turns—a great ride. There are also plenty of rides that aren't roller coasters, including an awesome three-drop log flume and a river rapids ride.
The park itself felt clean, safe, and well-maintained. The new additions, including the roller coasters and rides themselves, and even entire areas, felt fresh and vibrant. As with any theme park, there were a few older rides I wasn't too fond of, but even the park's older collection of roller coasters and rides were running well and were good fun.
My only criticisms of the park were the frequent breakdowns on various rides throughout the day. I understand that ride safety is the number one priority, but this was a continuous issue, and we ended up being evacuated from multiple ride queues. The other issue that hampered our day was that on a sunny and busy August Sunday, they were operating some of the park's biggest rides with only one train, making the queues unnecessarily long. I don't know whether this was intentional or due to maintenance issues, but the painfully slow queues did spoil aspects of the day.
Overall, Walibi Holland is a great park with a unique roller coaster lineup and a solid collection of other rides, making it a fantastic day out. The park's presentation is nice, it's clean and feels well looked after, and the food options are decent too. I look forward to seeing what they're planning for the future, as all of their latest investments have been huge successes!

Great park for adults too. Came on a Saturday in August and was crowded but not crazy.
We bought the gold pass at the entrance and probably could have done it with the silver one. Queues were okay and with the fast lane app it’s very easy to book a slot and wait outside until time goes to zero (maximum we waited was 3 minutes in the timer), then you go in. We enjoyed a lot, there are 5-6 big attractions and a lot for kids too. Food offer is a bit unhealthy and expensive but as usual in theme parks. Parking was 12€.
We visited this place in Khalovin. We had a lot of fun and a bit of fear. The kids enjoyed the ride. It takes almost a day to fully enjoy it. We arrived in the evening, and four hours wasn't enough; the lines were long, with wait times of 40 minutes or more.
We came here for the Halloween stuff and for the rides. First negative we found was the parking situation. Literally the worst parking we have ever seen!! Making cars park 3 in a line so you have towns of three cars which means if the person behind you hasn’t gone you’re stuck!! It was muddy and horrible. The bridge across the road is a dumb idea. Fairly easy to get in. The place was quiet at the beginning of the day. I did buy fast lanes so that we didn’t have to queue so long. I did buy fast recommend that. The place gets packed later and it’s awful. They oversell tickets and you cannot move. I bought RIP passes for the fright night experiences and I recommend you do the same if you want to see them all. The walkthroughs and haunted houses are ruined by security guards everywhere. The place is poorly signposted, the maps are all but useless. It’s dirty. The foods expensive but we expect that at these places. The rides are really good though, cannot fault them. Staff were friendly. Would I come back…yes but not at Halloween. Wear old shoes because the place is caked in mud this time of year.
Walibi Holland is a great park for thrill seekers; it has some seriously strong roller coasters that deliver real intensity and smooth rides. The park is clean and well run, though wait times can be long and food is pricey. Still, it’s definitely worth a visit.
I'm only giving this many stars because my family had fun on the rides. I've developed some phobias in my middle age years and I just go for the vibes, the slushies, etc. But let me paint a picture. Thursday was the only day we could go this vacation. I had to work late and only got 3 hrs sleep. I rolled from my bed with some string cheese and a croissant to start my long day knowing I'd get lunch at the park. So many food options it seemed, pasta.. How nice! Yet... Everything was closed except for donuts, toasties, fries, fried snacks... Even the slushy machines were off most places and when I finally found a place with slushy, the cup with lid and plastic straw were sold out. False advertising, no? Honestly, I'd like a refund for just my ticket.. Ridiculous to not have more open especially during a school holiday. We left early because we were hungry.
We a family of 4 really enjoyed staying our 3 days 2 nights in Walibi. The bungalow areas are Quiet, relaxing, lots of trees(pine) clean.
Bungalow is big enough, kitchen facilities is complete though we spent more in restaurant for breakfast and dinner.. Whats less point and annoying is there's only 1 toilet paper, floor is sticky, dust everywhere, bed can be better but i, we slept good. Well we're all day outside so. ..
We did a promo, 2nd day in park is free wich we enjoyed and pure fun for my kids. Though they only had 1 pool, its smaller than I thought my kids enjoyed swimming/playing. They offer really good menu in the restaurant, good quality food. The burger and salad, kip shoutout to the cook, 5star. Helpful, friendly staff (reception and resto.

Went to Walibi fright nights and had a blast! I loved the thematic decorations. I have been the past 6 years every year to fright nights and this was the first time that the cues for the attractions were below 30 min waiting time. On top of this it was also the first time I could enter a haunted house with just the 4 of us. (The years prior there was always a stream of people walking through them causing you to miss all the scares)
One minor point though, I would like Walibi to have one night where the scares actors aren’t confined to their zones but are allowed to roam the whole park. I just think fright nights would really be scary this way.

Paleis Het Loo is a 17th-century palace and garden that offers guided tours of the royal apartments and houses a notable art collection. It's a massive complex that provides insight into the Dutch Royal Family, featuring an excellent cafe and a fun kids playground. The surrounding area also includes Apenheul, an ape zoo, as well as beautiful parks with stately villa neighborhoods and access to the Veluwe forest.
We visited this palace over the weekend, what a pleasant surprise! A beautiful palace, it tells a lot about the history of the kings of Holland, about the architecture. A very well preserved palace, the view from the top of the garden is a sight to behold. We loved everything, one of the best palaces we have ever visited.

Arguably the most magnificent palace in the Netherlands and it is easily reachable by public transport. It's massive so you really need a full day to explore the palace AND the fabulous gardens. Everything is breathtaking!
Its a great place to visit. The tours inside the palace are nice. You can do a tour with a book so you can read from a folder you can get at the start or do an audio tour. Then the gardens are amazing especially when the weather is in your favor. Parking is close and not expensive (€8 for the day day)
Nice to see inside what furniture and style is in every room. Gardens are nice. But comparing to some other palaces and castles this one is not my top. But it is nice. What I loved is a restaurant inside where they have high tea, really nice design. And nice terrace outdoor. Plus they have some activities like archery or some other games that make you feel like you travel back in time.
The graden at the Palace is super cool. There are different types of plants, labelled. A lot of mini activities for kids for example archery.
Coming to palace itself, it was pretty awesome. A lot of rooms to explore, though some of the floors are not meant for visitors. The roof is accessible as well via a lift - and there can be queues at the lift.
Outside the palace, at the initial entrance, there are some historical artifacts to explore as well like the cars driven by the Royals and other stuff.
Would like to complement the staff, who are really nice and approachable.
Second time visiting after more than 5 years. A great destination to visit with family or friends. A great day out to visit not only the palace but also the garden, the antique cars & carriages collection and the exhibitions. Good facility for visitors such as the toilets, lockers, parking, etc.
We didn’t go inside the palace, but with such beautiful weather we didn’t mind at all. The terrace was a lovely spot to sit, and the gardens are truly worth the visit : peaceful, well kept, and full of charm.

A terrific experience, both indoors and out. The level of investment and care are reflected in the impressive scale and quality of the exhibits. Most of the signage included English and German. Definitely worth a day trip from Amsterdam.
Well-maintained folk museum. Structures are beautiful and interesting. Don’t skip anything as it’s all good. Also, town of Enkhuizen is charming and laid back. Experince exceeded expectations.
The museum would take you back into the time of 1920’s living in Netherland coast town after the dike were built which was a fishing village are turned into.
It is accessible by the ferry boat from the museum parking lot or at the ticket booth near the train station if you are coming by trains.
The ticket is &21 euros which includes the both to and from ferry rides!
You need about lease two hours to walk the entire outdoor museum. There are blacksmith shop and laundry shop which powered by a coal burning boiler machine that turning all the washing machines.
It is a great place to take your young kids to visit they can let loose and enjoy the day.
Fantastic step back in time. Incredible that all of the buildings were moved there from other places and rebuilt into the village it is today. Each home had its own story so you need time to appreciate it. Tried freshly smoked makerel, traditional sweets and interactive exhibits. So much to see and do. Highly recommend
A very beautiful open-air museum that has plenty to offer for adults and for kids. You walk inside in many of the buildings and, depending on what’s on offer, see how people used to live. Here and there, people are cooking or making tea. You can watch rope makers, sail makers, carvers, blacksmiths, and laundresses at work. There’s also a lot you can do with children. Building a boat out of clogs, or make your own soap. Some activities cost a small extra fee. We had a great day, and the six hours we spent in the museum went by very quickly. We took the ferry from Parkeerplaats Sluisweg to the museum. There’s plenty of food and drink in the park. The fish at the smokehouse is highly recommended.
It's worth buying tickets online in advance; they're significantly cheaper than at the box office. We saved almost €4, which almost covered the cost of our €7 parking ticket.
Outdoor museum with a lot of variety, recreating the village experience of a Zuiderzee fishing village across various time periods. There’s also a West Frisian hut hidden in the nature preserve area with a knowledgeable local guide/interpreter whose expertise is in the Bronze Age tools and ways of living, like animal husbandry. Also, in the village, at the fish smoker you can try their traditionally smoked salmon, mackerel or herring. You can walk to the museum from the Enkhuizen train station.
It was a great experience. At first we thought the prices were a little bit high, but in the end was a great place and worth every cent. We were really happy. Thanks a lot.

Incredible experience! So much amazing history to discover and many interactive exhibits like the weavers and the blacksmiths. The grounds are stunning and expansive. You can tour the grounds on the trolley which is super fun for kids. There is an entire section of the ground dedicated to kids activities. The restaurant and Cafe was really nice with many vegan options including pastries! The gift shop is very nice with many good Dutch gifts.
In my opinion the best museum in the Netherlands, bar none. Well worth the ticket price and whatever the train costs coming here.
The entire museum is extremely well maintained. Facilities are unbelievably sanitary. The food served in the "restaurant corner" of the museum is reasonably priced and mouth-watering good. The fries are a must try.
The exhibits offer a detailed look into history, with content written in both Dutch and English. The experience is thoughtfully divided into sectors, each containing exhibits from different time periods.
Historic trams run frequent headways in a circular route around the museum. These are free to board and a wonderful way to have a look around. Of course, the museum is 100% walkable.
10/10 experience. The day went by in a flash - will be back.
The Netherlands Open Air Museum in Arnhem is a fantastic destination for families with children. Lovely place in Holland. If you have the museum card and you go with your family, this is a great place to spend the day at. The nature is beautiful, the tram is fun for the kids, you could see farm animals and enjoy the different family activities. I love the Dutch concept of having open air museums where you can see the history of the country.
Beautiful museum about Dutch history and how people were living in the past century. We visited during a busy weekend but because the size of the park it does not feel crowded. A tram can be used to travel quickly from one location to another. Not only the buildings are in perfect condition, but also the landscape, the gardens, the trams etc. are well maintained. Definitely worth a visit.
We visited on our way from Germany to the ferry from Europort. It's a lovely place for a few hours, lots to see. Very knowledgeable staff/volunteers to tell you about the life etc.
For peaceful weekends, I recommend to visit here. It was an impressive and pleasant sightseeing.

Not a massive fan of zoos but I think this one is done very well, and for the right reasons.
The different sections felt very well done, you immerse yourself into the various climates of where the animals live.
The information about the various wildlife was also well spread and accessible. I also think the information about the elderly elephant is handled appropriately.
A decently large walk if you want to visit everything, which speaks well to the amount of space the animals are given. The animals don't appear as distressed as I've seen in other zoos.

This is a wonderful zoo, one of the best I have visited in Europe. The forest in the middle of the park is amazing and very diverse in terms of plants and animals, and there's also a waterfall. A lot of animals had newborns, which was very cute. The sea zone was very beautiful, of course limited in size as it is not the main focus of the park (if you like water animals, make sure you visit the one in Barcelona).
Downsides: too many people which created crowds, and no staff around the park to help.
Such a beautiful and fun zoo! Would definitely recommend for adults and for children.

Amazing!!! The first steps didn’t seem like it will be much yet quickly we realized how well thought is whole place. Really you see the animals and theirs wellbeing is the highest priority. Still all is designed in such smart way that you able to observe them in awe! True treat for families but I guess it’s also a great idea for a date or solo experience. Enjoyed tons🙌🏼
There are parts of it fully in dome that creates full experience of natural habitats- if you don’t look up it’s easily to feel like in a jungle or on some tropical place. Amazing!
I went their with my wife and daughter( 2 years old). The park has huge car parking (paid) with electric car chargers. Overall the park is huge and very well built. There are enough benches to sit and observe. The observation decks are very well positioned, and the safari restaurant has amazing views of the African safari lands. Their is great variety of food options, even for kids. The food was lekker.
Overall the entire experience was just amazing.
This was a wonderful zoo experience. One the rare “cageless” habitats and it was wonderful to see the animals roam around in rather large habitats. Beautifully designed, and aesthetically pleasing. Parking costs 9 EUR and approx 29 EUR for a single ticket for adults. It can take somewhere between 3-4 hours to leisurely see all exhibits

It is an interesting Zoo which offers animal as much nature space as possible. With the map you can explore all different parts of the zoo.
But with the open nature it also creates some challenges, it might be sometime difficult to trace where the animals are, which brings down the experience slightly.
Quite some food choices inside the canteen and plenty of paid parking space inside as well

I was particularly impressed by how incredibly child- and family-friendly the park is. With the huge indoor hall, the many creative playgrounds, and the cool climbing park, Toverland is an absolute paradise for families, even in bad weather.
The food was delicious, the staff was consistently friendly, and the weather showed its best side. Instead of the predicted rain, we had pure sunshine. ☀️
But my personal highlight came at the very end: the "Last Ride" on the wooden roller coaster #Troy. Since I hadn't been on a roller coaster myself in years, this last ride was really emotional for me and the perfect end to a perfect day.

Really nice park. My kids loved it as there was so much for them to do. There was some stuff we didn't manage to do as they were happy just playing in all the various play areas. and there are some rides we couldn't ride due to height restrictions, but we will definitely be back when they are taller to ride them all.
The park was very clean and tidy. The theming was really good and the little interactive elements entertained the kids.

I liked how compact the park was as it made it easy to walk around all day no long paths of nothing to walk down. You exited one area and entered another very quickly with something new and exciting to find around each corner.
A lovely day out, Fenix and Troy bring the standout rides. Every member of staff we dealt with were brilliant! Excellent value for money, considering the array of rides to choose from. Had lunch at the Flaming Feather and the burger was perfect.
Really nice theme park. Not very crowded, clean and well maintained. If you like rollercoasters, this is a nice park to be. There are, at least four or five. The wooden and the Fenix ones are for adrenaline people. Awesome. We liked it a lot. It is great for kids from 4 and up.
Came a few weeks ago, honestly had the best day. We were fortunate to have blue sky's and sunshine. Definitely our favourite theme park we have ever visited. The indoor area for kids is fantastic, offers hours of fun. Never seen anything like it. There's so much to do here, one day is not enough. Fingers crossed we can come back one day!! 😁
This park was really good for all ages. They had plenty of rides for little ones and also had rides for bigger kids and adults. I can't say anything about the food as we took lunch with us as we didn't want to waste time waiting for food. If you plan your day right you can see the whole park in one day.

When we were there werent many guests so I can‘t really judge the queues. Food was good, really liked the Pasta inside the hall. Friendly staff members all around, especially the guy on the climbing activity
Very nice park. Most of the attractions had a queue line under 15 minutes which obviously is ideal. Although a few rides had a very low capacity almost everything was doable.
Enough spaces to rest, eat and relax next to all the thrills. And an appreciation towards the park for keeping everything clean non-stop.

I forget the time but for US purchase, I had to get up at 3 am and they sold out pretty fast. It's worth it! You get timed entry so be there on time! It's a really nice facility. You enter from the street side and can use toilets before going into the museum. You'll get an audio tour in your language but in 2025 it did not talk while in the secret annex so learn about the rooms before you visit to maximize to your experience! Be sure to go see the house from the canal side too as that is the famous side! There is a small plaque on the house that says "Anne Frank Haus" or something really similar to that! Go, being in the rooms makes you appreciate that 8 people spent 22 months living in that space and helps you understand their plight with new eyes. No pictures or video allowed. Also they have some of Anne Franks writings on display after you leave the secret annex.

Great unique experience. They give you individual audio pods which hosts several languages. This gallery is the home that Anne Frank found refuge with her family before they were found. As you enter each room, you scan the room# as it narrates events in her life. There is a bookstore and café shop located at the end of the tour. Rsvp online purchase as it is busy, but not really a long wait when it get there. Goes fast and the tour is about an hour long.
Impressive, very well conserved. Autoguided visit. No photos allowed in the hidden house, only in the visitors centre for the ones who buy the ticket+introdutory lesson (30 minutes for an overview of the history, I fully recommend). It can be a little sufocating not only because of the place but also about the history that happened inside. It is impossible going there and not feel bad about what these walls have listened and witnessed. It is a painful but necessary visit.
Really would recommend. The audio tour helps paint a picture of what it was like back then. Imagining having to be quiet so you weren't heard. Seeing the original features really brings it to life.
A solemn and moving museum to remind humanity not to repeat such horrific events. The courage of not only the Frank family but also the saints who helped this family was displayed. It filled my heart to see that the dreams of a young girl was fulfilled although she was denied to live her life.
Amazing! You cannot take photos inside, they have coat check so you can bring your bag to leave there. They also provide speaker phone type of device in many different languages. I have a spinal condition and was able to make all of the stairs! I highly recommend.

The Ziggo Dome is truly one of the best concert venues in the Netherlands. It’s super easy to reach by train or metro, and once inside everything runs smoothly, from the entrance to finding your seat. The sound is outstanding; you can tell the hall was built for music, as it’s clear and powerful no matter where you sit.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is always great. Food and drinks are on the expensive side, but facilities are clean and there’s plenty of choice. All in all, it’s a venue where concerts are experienced at their best and one you’ll be happy to return to.
The hall itself is enormous and remarkably well-ventilated. Although the temperature outside was past the 30°C mark, you wouldn't have known it once you were inside as the air was pleasantly cool. I was happy to finally get a break from this unbearable heat.
I had a VIP ticket, so I was seated right at the front, directly in front of the stage. The seating consisted of rows of chairs, spaced with enough room in front of each so you could comfortably stand up when you wanted to (everyone stood up once the concert started, so you kinda didn't have any other choice, hahah).
I have to deduct one star because the organization outside the venue was incredibly confusing. There were multiple entrances, each with its own queue, but nothing was clearly labelled. No one seemed to know where they were supposed to line up.
I personally had to switch lines three (!) times before I finally ended up in the right one. Even the staff couldn't give clear directions when we asked for help. This wasn't just an issue for me and my companion. Many other visitors were just as lost.
The organization definitely leaves a lot to be desired, but aside from that, everything else was top-notch. It's a great venue, and Ado's concert was lovely!!
Since this was been my workplace for many, many years, so I'm very biased. The venue is built for the ultimate accoustic experience - if band's sound technicians aren't too stubborn - and, biased again, staff is very friendly and helpful.
This time as a guest for the Lindemann Meine Welt World tour, which is, shall I say, an experience, the venue was a bit too large for size. I've seen his show a couple of times in smaller venues, which makes the show more intense to attend (and ofcourse not for the faint of heart so not sold out in the business section) but nevertheless an absolute banger, and a great replacement of sorts when Rammstein's not touring.
But Ziggodome still is the venue to see live shows, one of a kind.

Went to see The Offspring and opener act Simple Plan. Ziggo Dome is perceived as one of the country's most prestigious event venues and hosts many big names.
We had a overall great experience, with P1 Arena parking being literally 2 minutes away of Ziggo Dome entrance.
My only minor complaint would be the higher pitched sounds (some vocals but also guitars) sounded a bit distorted. I checked my phone and DB was around 75-80 most of the time (middle of first ring).
If they can fix that I'd rate it 5/5.
A beer is 7 euros and a cola 4.30, just event venue prices.
I have only been to concerts in Cyprus and Israel. But Ziggo Domes system for the queues was unbelievable and it helped the whole experience to be way more smooth. Not the biggest arena but great sound! The AC was amazing. We were also wecolmed with a complimentary drink!

Had seats facing the stage, which was a nice view. Some lockers outside the location to place items in, or a coat check inside. Both for fees.
We had dinner above before we went in, a lovely meal! And was perfectly timed to then walk directly into the venue with a very short security line. Very friendly staff to help direct crowds, and parking was very easy to navigate.

Great museum. Hadn’t been for a few years, better than I remembered. Amazing art spread over four floors in the heart of the museum area. Saw huge works of art, great sculpture too and even an aircraft up on floor 3. And a condom that dates back to 1830 🙄 A must see. Only takes a couple of hours to get a good feel. You can then return to explore more.
Stunning setting on par with the Louvre; goldmine of Dutch Masters but also extensive collections of porcelain, china, silverware, jewelry, firearms, nautical models and other items.
Large, open atrium and other common areas with ample access to washrooms, lifts and stairwells. App (IOS and Android) loads easily and allows access to thematic and custom tours. BRING ear buds, although you can listen via your phone’s speaker. Audio device is only €6.50 each.

Many exhibits are dimly lit; I know this protects paintings/fabric/etc, but many other international museums have more ample lighting. Maybe illuminate the text descriptions separately? Given that explanatory panels are often mounted within 50cm of the floor, deciphering them can pose a challenge. Even saw quite young folks having to squint. Strongly advise staff to engage an Optometrist to assist in this.
Sum: certainly a “must see”, with a complete visit likely requiring 3+ hrs. Staff very helpful, and roving throughout the museum. Buy tickets from the official site beforehand (or via QR on site), and avail yourself of the (included) coat-check.
The Rijksmuseum is an incredible place to explore Dutch art and history. The collection is world-class from Rembrandt’s The Night Watch to Vermeer’s The Milkmaid, every gallery feels like a walk through time. The building itself is stunning, and the layout makes it easy to wander and discover something new at every turn.
That said, it can get very crowded, especially on weekends. I definitely recommend buying your tickets in advance to skip the long lines and secure your preferred time slot. Once inside, take your time there’s so much to see that it’s worth spending a few hours here.
Overall, a fantastic cultural experience and a must-visit in Amsterdam, just make sure to plan ahead!
Buy tickets outside at a little portable booth in front of the overpass. Watch out for FAST💨 BIKES!!! The famous Night Watchman by Rembrandt is under serious restoration and is partially blocked due to scaffolding. This painting is on the second floor, the 1700s. Later work by Van Gogh is on the 1st floor exhibited. We also ate lunch in the museum cafeteria and the food was super fast and fresh! The chicken salad and the buffalo mozzarella salad were excellent!!

While it is best known for its classic collection and Dutch Golden Age masterpieces, it also hosts an extensive selection of works from other periods, including contemporary critical exhibits. Carefully curated, the visit can be extensive if one wishes to cover all it has to offer. But it makes for a memorable experience both for those with a dedication to art and culture, and the casual visitor.
It is useful to book tickets in advance. While the crowds are managed reasonably, it can get busy, in particular in the most popular galleries. An early arrival is useful to enjoy those works in a more relaxed way. The museum has quality services for information, accessibility, shop, restaurant and coffee bar. Staff is professional, congenial, and knowledgeable across all roles.
The 2013 refurbishment of the historic Pierre Cuypers building by Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos still feels fresh, cogent, and successful in upgrading the entrances, patios, service areas, and selected exhibition spaces. If anything it would have been nice to have a more direct opportunity to understand the evolution of the building, its spaces, collection history, and new curatorial practices. Although much of that emerges through the visiting experience, and carefully prepared exhibits.

We barely saw anything here, but hey everyone says it's a must-see when you're visiting Amsterdam.
The Rijksmuseum is spacious and full of variety—you can easily spend two hours or more exploring. Of course, the famous paintings, especially those by Rembrandt, are breathtaking. But beyond that, we enjoyed discovering other exhibits too: delicate porcelain, shipbuilding models, and historical artifacts that tell stories beyond the canvas.
We arrived early, which helped—it was fairly quiet at first. But the museum filled up quickly and became quite crowded in some areas. The café is lovely and offers a peaceful break. Unfortunately, The Night Watch is currently under restoration, but even so, it remains a powerful and moving centerpiece.
Visiting the Rijksmuseum is a beautiful experience—perfect for art lovers, history enthusiasts, and anyone seeking cultural depth and inspiration.

Must visit if you like art even one tiny bit. I'm not an art aficionado myself but I can't not be amazed by Van Gogh's Paintings. You cannot buy tickets at the gate. It must be pre purchased online beforehand. Please note the starry night (Van Gogh's most famous painting) is not here. But they have other amazing paintings including another masterpiece - The potato eaters. The lighting is not nice. It's dull yellow and doesn't do justice to the colours. It should be much brighter. One thing which was not nice was the locker system to keep your backpack which is not allowed inside. It's free but had no instructions. You first need to go to the panel and enter a code and it will assign a locker. The shop is also nice, they have some really good items for sale. Overall worth every penny !
An absolutely incredible experience! Visiting the Van Gogh Museum was a highlight of my trip to Amsterdam. Though the museum doesn’t have some works like the starry night, it explores the path of Vincent through the time.
What I liked is examples of the work that inspired Van Gogh, the paintings of his friends that he exchanged for his paintings and the paintings that got inspiration from Van Gogh.
An extended audio guide was easy to follow and it felt pretty short.
Let’s be honest this is one of those things that everyone tells you have to see. If you’re visiting Amsterdam, you’re probably going whether you want to or not. Take the back staircase that gives you a great view of the area below. I actually recommend going all the way to the top first and then working your way down. Don’t worry about going to the first gift shop you see there’s multiple gift shops there. They’re also is a few really great views to be had depending on where you stop for a coffee. The architecture of the building itself is actually really enjoyable. There’s a lot of art to be seen so if you walk into one room and it’s crowded just circle back to it later. Budget a few hours, but don’t spend the whole day because there’s a ton to do in the surrounding area.
The Van Gogh Museum is absolutely stunning, not just the building itself, which is beautiful, but the entire atmosphere. The exhibits are incredible, of course, but what truly stood out to me was the storytelling.
As we walked through the museum, we felt like we were being guided through Vincent’s life, seeing the world through his eyes, and understanding his struggles, passion, and vision on a much deeper level.
By the time we left, we had a completely new appreciation of who Vincent Van Gogh was, both as an artist and as a person. It’s an experience that stays with you long after you’ve walked out the door.
I had a great experience. I would say it would take 1.5-2 hours to get through the museum. There is a lot of people (of course) which does make it harder to enjoy but what can you do. There is a lot to learn about his life. There are some other artists who were his friend or inspiration etc. The gift shops/ cafe are about the size of the museum itself but it has a huge selection too and reasonably priced. There are also lockers to store your bags/ coat hangers so you don’t have to carry around so much and can enjoy the works of art.

My local park. I love it & so do many many Amsterdamers.. Tourists, everyone. Busy and buzzing. With lots of wildlife and some quiet peaceful areas.. Lovely Rose garden. Playgrounds, Bars, restaurants and concert venue inside. It's a main thoroughfare into the city and in the mornings and evenings it's like a Football game has ended.. Great for running - just about 3.5km all the way around the place but also inline skating and cycling. Walking etc.. Outside smelly Dutch style urinals placed strategically about but also public toilets in the bars.. A long and fairly narrow green lung in the city.
A beautiful park to take a walk to or go by bike!!! If you have time you can just sit on a bench or on the grass and enjoy the calm nature around you. Really a beautiful place!
Vondelpark is amazing, i would just wish that Amsterdam had like 10 of Vondelparks. :) Great place to hang out and walk around out of the hustle and bustle of the city surrounding it. Vondelstraat is also a great neighborhood to walk through.
Walked through this beautiful Vondel park, lots of people taking advantage of this park, walking, running, biking, sitting on benches, sitting on the grass. Many people were here and I found I had to watch myself that I didn’t get in anyone’s way, still glad I checked this area out.
I absolutely loved the park the trees and roses were breathtaking to see in person. The sound of running water added such a calming touch, and the Japanese maples were stunning. It’s the perfect spot for yoga or simply unwinding after a busy day.
Vondelpark is a truly beautiful and relaxing place in the heart of Amsterdam. The park feels peaceful and full of life at the same time, with wide green spaces, winding paths, and lovely ponds. It’s a well organized tour. The steps could be a bit slippery. The last steps are a bit challenging as there are many to climb in a single go. They also get very narrow at the end. The views, to be frank, are nothing to brag about- so don’t go just for the view and since the barricades are metallic and not of glass or clear plastic, you cannot get good pictures. Anyway it was exhilarating because of the cool breeze at the top.
Definitely worth the effort climbing up to the top of the tower. Guide is in both Dutch and English. Almost 500 steps single trip and the staircase is getting narrower and narrower as moving towards the top. Be prepared for shaky legs after coming down ...
Had a great tour here. We bought tickets in advance and everything was very smooth. There are a lot of stairs and many spiral which does get a bit warm, but is a cool experience and learned some interesting history. Great views and very good tour guides who are able to provide the tour and answer questions in Dutch and English.
This is one of the recommended activities to do in Utrecht. It is exhilarating when you get to the top but you need to climb 463 steps with 4 stops to get there. The last stretch was most difficult because it was 150 steps at once and towards the top it got much narrower so for the claustrophobic folks, take note. Otherwise its a nice feeling to get to the top and get some photos though the barb wire can pose a challenge to getting wonderful photos.
Utrecht is a small, charming and very vibrant city. I just stayed one day but had an amazing experience and will definitely go again. Utrecht has so many things to offer from historical buildings and museums to good shopping and great diversity of food places.
This is a place you should visit in Utrecht provided you can take the significant climb up the stairs. The view is certainty worth it.
You have to book a tour, which does add to the experience and our guide was friendly and informative. The tour was presented in Dutch and English. The start point is in a shop nearby so make sure you read the information carefully.
Must see if you visit Utrecht, the view from the tower is absolutely gorgeous and the story behind the tower is nice to hear. You can also do some exercising while enjoying the views. 🤓 Book a ticket in advance.

Fantastic canal tour. We rented the small boat for 4 people, and we saw beautiful scenery while sailing through the Utrecht city canals. Very recommended and worth the price, which was not a lot.

Very nice service from the people working at the little office today (19 July). We had some discount cards from vrindenloterij and the guy was so nice to check if they work with them ( they didn’t) but still he made an extra effort to check that for us, we made a reservation for a later moment and when we came back there was a lady who explained everything nice and she was really friendly ☺️ thank you
This pedal boat experience was a mistake for us. There was nothing enjoyable, easy or entertaining about it. My 10-year old child and I rented a Stromma Utrecht paddle boat today and regretted it immediately. Why? It was just way too much work for two people on vacation. We had not been prepared for the *huge amount of physical exertion* required to move and steer these boats. We made it through 1/3 of the route, and then decided to turn back, as we were already sweaty, stressed and physically wasted from pedaling and steering of the boat. It was a very hot day.
I do not recommend this experience to anyone, really, but if you must give it a try, you should consider yourself Strong, Energized, and on the Tall side. This is necessary because the seats on the boats do not adjust, and short-legged people will be challenged to reach the pedals and get traction. Steering the boats is also arduous and requires arm strength. Combined with the hard pedaling, it made for an unpleasant experience in a beautiful place.
And lastly, the route map that is on the boat was unhelpful, as it was faded and impossible to read. It would be wonderful if the company revised and replaced them.
The employee who helped us today was both nice and professional, and did her best to provide service. Still, she cannot control the quality of the boats or of the experience you will have, once you are out on your own.
In summary, I discourage you from spending money on this pedal boat tour. The rental kayaks we saw (different company) looked like a much better time.

Arrived at 10:20am for our 10:30 reservation… still here at 11am and no one has turned up to open up. Phone number isn’t being answered. Lots of other people here waiting for their booking too. Don’t bother.
Probably the most beautiful activity you can do when visiting Utrecht. Check their opening hours before you go. They are open April, May, June, September and October from Wednesday until Sunday 10h00-18h00. Daily in July and August. Closed November, December, January and February. This way you are never disappointed...
Went to Utrecht for a day out of Amsterdam. As a group of four we almost skipped this canal tour booth until one of us pointed it out.
We each had to then pay an admission fee, but once that was done we were to hop onto a four man pedal boat and explore the canals of this Dutch city.
We were completely blown away with the views and overall friendly atmosphere of the city. The ride takes about 90 minutes but you get to see so much at your own pace and have a fun time doing it.
Sadly we can't have a pedalo since we are 2 adults and three kids, despite the fact that our small one would have had more than enough space to sit in the middle....

A great museum in the center of Eindhoven! It's exciting to watch a 130 year technology revolution in your native language!
On the other hand, the museum was smaller than I expected. I see the brilliance of historical processes in a better interactive way.

A great museum to learn about history of Philips and its connection to Eindhoven region. I liked the history of lights part. For kids there is a nice workshop upstairs
Recently they also have added a section on AI and its impact on society. However, what I expected that they would have wider samples from different Radio and Television and Tape recorders etc. from thier more than half a century history, but I was bit disappointed to see only a few. Nevertheless overall definitely worth a visit.
I didn’t expect a whole deal from this but was presently surprised, I had no idea the influence of this company- some really touching features. The cinema was nice to see the influence during the war.
Cafe seemed reasonably priced- sadly no GF options.
Also the free audio guide was a nice feature. A lot of interactive features

The museum is definitely a great surprise! Rather than a straightforward exhibition with boring facts, the Phillips museum is like a time machine, which helps you look into the lives of the past couple of generations, how their lives got changed because of electricity and Philips, and how they also shape the future.
Kids workshop is a must do! Amazing to watch them creating objects with their own hands. And than they ad on motor and battery it so it starts to move! Kids where so focused, happy and proud at the and!
Very nice museum with interesting history of Philips company. It’s not so big and can be viewed within one or one and half an hour.

Efteling is a massive amusement park located in Brabant, south of Amsterdam Zuid. It covers 1000 hectares and is three times larger than New York's Central Park, making it one of the largest in Europe. The park features fairytale-themed rides, wooden roller coasters, and a captivating water fountain and light show.
Such a fun park!
We were a couple with 4 kids, ages 4 to 16, and we had a great time.
We arrived right when the park opened — the parking lot was already quite full — and we stayed until the very end. We managed to experience everything, some rides even more than once.
In my opinion, there’s no real need for two days, unless you want to take it slow and relaxed.
There are plenty of attractions for both younger and older kids. Of course, there are more exciting rides for kids over 120 cm, and those usually have slightly longer lines. The longest we waited was about 40 minutes, which is quite reasonable for a summer day — some rides had no line at all.
The rides are really well-designed and a lot of fun. The whole park is well-organized, with great atmosphere and music all around. There are also shows throughout the park, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for them.
We randomly came across one horse show that was beautiful and impressive.
At the end of the day, there’s a fountain and water show with music and lights — a great way to finish.
We left exhausted but happy — totally worth it!

I remember this being one of the happiest day of my life so far. Where my inner child was allowed to experience joy and excitement with no limitations.
There are various different rides ranging from easy-going to adventure seeking, so different strokes for different folks.
It's very family friendly and easily accessible to all. On the day we went, there were a lot of kids, babies, toddlers and disabled persons. It accommodates all family sizes. I went with my partner and we noticed that there were some rides that were only for single riders, so you can definitely experience this solo.
In addition to the rides, it's magical to walk around and take in the atmosphere and Fairytale details of the park.
I really appreciated the fact we didn't stand too long in the lines for food and the rides. Also a big shout out to the staff who are simply the best (to quote Tina Turner).

It is ok for families with kids between 5 and 10. Probably also for people between 20 and 25 who are seeking gor a bit of adrenaline.

All in all, if you live at maximum 250 km is a good place to spend a nice day.
Probably the best theme park i've ever been to. The attractions are really immersive and they have something for all ages. They also have some really fun shows happening all over the park. On top of that, i thought all the food we had was very tasty and reasonably priced. Since we went on a weekday at the end of September, the wait times were never more than 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend using their app which has an interactive map of the park where you can view the live waiting indicators and show times.
Even on a Wednesday, there were still lots of people! The popular rides had a 20–30 minute wait. Some of the facilities looked a bit old and even a little creepy, but the merry-go-round was very special and really cool.
Efteling is a stunning themepark full of magic and spectacle! It’s perfect for bringing children or honestly any family member- I’m not joking your grandma would love this!
Every attraction is themed, detailed and a cared for. Nothing is without consideration, the green spaces, the story telling - even the bins are a delight (iykyk). Every staff member you encounter will be lovely- every ride operation will be fast but efficient.
One day is simply not enough to see and experience everything as there is so much to do but one day at Efteling will fill your heart for a year if you have to travel as far as I did for the experience!
A bit crowded and long queues compared to other parks, but it is worth it. Many people prefer new rollercoasters, which are nice of course, but in my opinion joris and the draak is still one of the best: longer ride and many turns, plus the waiting line moves faster.
An incredible day out. Beautifully designed and perfect for kids
We spent a full day at Efteling (10am–7:30pm) with our two young children and honestly, it was amazing. The park is huge and much bigger than Disney in terms of space, but it never felt overwhelming. There are so many rides, attractions, and beautifully landscaped areas to explore.
Despite it being August and around 25°C, we barely queued the longest we waited was 30 minutes for the train (we'd just missed it), but everything else was under 10 minutes, including the pedal trains, a few dark rides, and Carnaval Festival.
What really sets Efteling apart is the atmosphere: peaceful, whimsical, and full of little pockets where you can sit, eat, or just wander in the shade. It felt like a fairytale world that hadn’t been turned into a shopping centre.
One big downside though – no water fountains anywhere. Coming from the UK where free tap water is a given, this was a bit of a shock. The day before in Belgium we were told off for asking to fill our bottles at a soft play, so luckily we had our Yeti flasks with us at Efteling – they just about lasted the day.
Would 100% go back – totally magical and very thoughtfully put together.
Oh and the pancake restaurant is so charming. And the fountain show is a brilliant way to end the day!
