We had an amazing visit here. Only €5 entry for an adult, then you can wander around for as long as you would like. There was so much to see, so would recommend having a rest halfway through or at least avoiding the hottest part of the day! So many lovely viewpoints, great for getting pictures. Information on the buildings, ruins, and history was available too. Would definitely recommend, it was a great day trip from the coast!

Spactacular ruins. Due to large area you won’t feel crowds. There’s extensive information about Bar history in the museum. You should dedicate some time for walking and visiting different chambers. There’s water fountain, toilet.

Must see location - a beautifully preserved city and citadel. Definitely worth the trip. The kids e enjoyed roaming freely in the different street and found every nook and cranny.

Recently, when visiting Montenegro, I was honestly at a loss for what to do and I randomly chose a tour that just happened to include a visit to this old fortress. Turned out to be such a great choice. The ruins of the fortress overlooking Stari Bar are an amazing archeological site. From the main gate to the Prince's Palace, the ruins are dripping with history and endlessly picturesque. Note that, hiking the site can be challenging at times. Many of the stone surfaces are smooth and slippery after centuries of weathering and foot traffic. But that caveat aside, Old Bar and the citadel are must-sees when visiting Montenegro.

Stunning, beautiful place to visit. €5 adults and €1 children under 14. Historical place well worth a visit.

Very nice Fort, I liked the augmented reality QR Codes which explain things through your phone and show you how buildings used to be. 5 euros entry, don't expect too much from the toilets

Very nice view. A lot of restaurants, bars and souvenir shops in walkthrough. 4 stars because of prices. All over 12 yeas old pay 5€ to enter, and under 12 pays 3€. Not worth the money, comparing to, let's say Kalemegdan in Belgrade, where entrance is free and you need few hours to walk around all, with much more content to see and enjoy .

A beach like any other. The good thing about beaches in Montenegro is that you can go in with your dog — just like in normal European countries, such as those in Eastern Europe, where so-called Western European 'culture' thankfully hasn’t arrived yet.

Great place, soft sand, lots of bars near. The water was absolutely fantastic! 100% must go!

It's a passable beach. The water isn't very deep. The entire beach is divided into businesses and is very long. There are too many wasps. They bothered us a lot.

Velika plaža is a sandy beach in Ulcinj, Montenegro. The beach is located on the Adriatic coast, 5 km from the city. The length of the beach is 13 km, and the width is on average 60 m. Due to its size and fine sand, it is also called the "Ulcinj Copacabana" we didn't sit in cafes because the prices are too high, and there is enough space on the beach to put up an umbrella and enjoy the old way, the so-called tomato tourists, in the video below you can see what it looks like.

A beautiful sand beach, the water is clean. Probably one of the best places in Montenegro. The beach is not the best for city people though, cause there isn't music playing around and there are 1-2 caffes. Amazing beach though!

The largest and cleanest beach i have seen across Montenegro. No trash floating in the water, large sandy area, plenty of space, not overcrowded. The water is shallow, and because of fine sand, very cloudy, not for snorkeling. As that is flat shore, no bay, there are waves almost all the time. In 5-7 pm there are huge traffic jams of people leaving the beach🚦, so try to leave earlier or stay later. Typically, if you come after 5 pm, nobody will charge you for sun beds.

Very unique and very recommended to visit this castle in shkoder. Small entry fee or even for free. Perfect for a family trip. The view is awesome you the sea of shkoder but then on the other hand you see the adriatic sea. On top ih that beautiful view you see the two lakes run into each other. Amazing!

The castle is absolutely stunning. It wasn't too crowded and you can meander around for as long as you want. To get there, we took a taxi from near the bus station. It cost €10 or 1000 ALL for a round trip. We just called the driver when we were ready to leave. There are many taxi operators around the city centre. The tickets were 400 ALL per person. We didn't buy in advance and there was no line. The way up is quite steep and also the stones are quite slippery. The views are absolutely worth it. There is also a museum and restaurant on the premises, however, the museum has a separate ticket of 200 ALL. One thing is that the restaurant houses the toilets and you have to buy something to use it, even just a water bottle is fine though. Amazing visit overall!

You need to pay for the castle entrance, although in google maps it does not say that it is a paid entrance. And you can only pay with cash. The castle is nice, quite outdated and needs repairs and safety notices for people to go there. Also, lots of rubish, poop , and papers in every corner. Be aware! There is a cute goat in the premises, it’s cute. FYI, when we were driving to the castle two kids with weapons approached us and tried to break into our car to get money from us. The guns were fake but stay attentive and with locked doors! Quite terrifying experience.

Rozafa Castle is one of the most beautiful places in northern Albania. The view from the top is absolutely stunning — you can see the rivers, the mountains, and the city of Shkodër all in one frame. It’s peaceful, full of history, and perfect for photography or just relaxing in nature. Highly recommend visiting during sunset for the best light and atmosphere.

Absolutely breathtaking! Every corner of the Castle of Rozafa feels like a dream come alive. From its ancient stones to the sweeping views over rivers and mountains, each angle offers a masterpiece of light, history, and magic. A must see, five stars without hesitation.

One of the most beautiful castles in Albania. Views are magnificent. The parking is a bit problematic, there is many lots around but theirs service is not well organized. The local cafe closes surprisingly early, leaving you no option to buy even a bottle of water in the early evening.

Dating back to the 3rd century BC, this fortress offers stunning views over the valley and the city. Several structures are still standing. Inside the third courtyard, you’ll find a small café where you can grab water, coffee, or ice cream. There’s also a museum (entrance ticket required). Entrance ticket: 400 LEK per person (sept 2025)

The area is a mess that could easily be cleaned up. The place is beautiful, but it needs a thorough renovation. There are a couple of signs on site describing what you are looking at. The tour duration is about 20 - 30 minutes. In any case, it is a "must see" in Durres

Didn't go in as most of it can be seen from outside. Looked interesting though. Area is steep with narrow streets so best to walk and not drive. Entry to the site was 300 Lek so not expensive if you wanted to go in.

Very lovely place, we did not pay entry, nice to walk around. Some steps so be mindful of accessibility. They are still excavating some parts so will be even better in years to come. Not too busy

The amphitheatre is close to the center and just a few minutes walk from the beach. It's a Roman amphiteatre and the largest amphiteatre in the Balkans having a capacity of around 20.000 people at it's peak time. The staff speaks English, payment can be done by cash or card. It's a nice little place to visit. Having some toilets would be really good. Around you will find on the main road shops and places to eat and drink.

Well preserved site and the biggest Roman Amphitheatre in Albania. The authorities are wanting to do more excavation to reveal more Roman structures but are currently hampered by the proximity of local houses around the site and haven't yet reached any agreement with home owners to buy them out. You get a good view of the Amphitheatre from the low fence surrounding the site, but it's still good to go into the site (300 lek) to see the tunnels under the seating area and get close up to the structures.

We had a very good visit to the Durres Amphitheater. The historic site is as built in 200AD by the Roman Empire. It has stood the test of time like all Roman structures. The architecture, engineering and workmanship has endured for nearly 2000 years. It’s great to be able to stand and walk around a place that has been around for almost 2 centuries. It was a great experience.

It's a very cool site. However, when I arrived it would have been nice if the attendant had pointed out the sign showing that they were closing in 25 minutes or said something about it or maybe done a sweep to make sure no one was inside before leaving. I came back up the steps at 14:12 to find the gate was locked, the ticket booth was closed up and I had to climb the fence to get out. Much to the amusement of a tour group who were unable to get in.

Visited here on 3rd Sept 2025. Stunning views from the castle. But its a steep climb to it with cobbled streets so good shoes needed. Certainly worth it though if you can make it. Plenty of local shops selling goods. Bought my wife a lovely silver ring for 18 euros. Had a nice beer and coffee at a local restaurant and stayed longer than anticipated due to very heavy rain. Check weather forecasts before you go. We were independant but tours still going ahead! Overall well worth a visit. Friendly pwople and no pushy sales stuff either.

This castle was actually rebuilt fairly recently but it still has many walls from its early days including the ruins of s mosque and a chapel within its walls. The castle is the original home of the greatest hero of Albania who after being taken hostage by the Ottomans on the early 1500s was raised by them and ended up becoming one of their greatest generals, however during a major battle against the Hungarians, he traded sides and ended up organizing all the Balkan’s to fight the ottomans, He fought them for 25 years before dying of Malaria. This castle is his historic home and contains a newly built museum telling his story. There are also spectacular views of Albania and the Adriatic Sea from the castle ramparts. Along the streets to the castle are the oldest continuous street bazaar in Albania. It’s worth going but both the streets to the castle and with the grounds are cobblestones that have been worn smooth by visitors over the millennia so walking shoes are critical and some of the path to the castle is steep so be extremely careful and not for those with walking issues at all!!!

Nice historic ruine with the most beautiful "bazaar" streets under the castle. I don't understand, why in the middle of castle ruin is built the stone building (the imitation of a middleage castle) = the Skanderberg museum.

Nice, free castle above the Bazaar. Not a lot remains, and the tower is stabilized following earthquake damage (2019?). There is a nice museum inside covering Albania's national hero, Scanderbeg.

Kruja takes you back in time as you walk through the slippery pebbly roads. So I recommend you wear good grip shoes. At the top entrance is a restaurant with local food restaurant to the left that includes the local traditional dancing and colourful costumes. The local artisans are proudly making and selling the wool felt shoes and local hats. There is an abundance of small shops to explore with colourful souvenirs.as you walk towards the castle which is very educational and equipped with amazing art works and very old artifacts tools,weapons,materials, furniture and books.

Loved it. Approximately 1 hour drive from Tirana. There are few private lands available for parking. Parking costs 300L for the whole day. Castle is awesome. Museum costs around 400L for an adult. Not that great but would recommend if you want to learn about history of Albania and the balcony view is excellent. There are couple of restaurants with the view. Coffee, beer and salads are good. Adjacent to the castle is the Old Bazaar. Colourful and vibrant with large pebble roads. Common things are sensibly priced. There is a high street at the end of Old Bazaar with few eat ins and they got excellent view. We enjoyed our dinner with the sunset - lifetime experience

We did not go inside but just walking around this area is beautiful. You can see the Adriatic Sea, the fields, Tirana City, etc. If weather permits, it would be nice to have a picnic up there.

It’s a large empty concrete square, incredibly hot in the summer and nothing to do there. In one corner you have a fountain/ water feature. The rest of the square is surrounded by buildings, some of which are under construction. There is a statue also on one side. I parked my car in the car park below, it was the only reason I came to this square. Nothing to see and nothing to do, I suggest you don’t waste your time. If the square is one of the best and most popular tourist attractions in the city then my eyes must have missed something

Located is the absolute heart of Tirana, this is a massive, modern space that really feels like the city's central meeting point. It's an impressive feat of urban design, with its unique sloping pavement that funnels rainwater to the gardens below, and it's surrounded by many of the city's key buildings like the National Museum of History and the Palace of Culture. It's a great place to get a feel for the city's energy. However, while it's huge, it can feel a bit "naked" at times, and I agree it could use a few more attractions or points of interest within the square itself to make it feel more engaging. Great sunset view. Still, it's a vital part of the city and a must-see. Recommended 👍🏼.

So much history in this location. There’s a free walking tour available starting from in front of the opera building. It’s not a very long walking tour and mainly goes around the square so it’s perfect to learn about the history of the country even if you are not particularly mobile. There’s some fantastic architecture visible just from the square showing the recent progress made over just the last 20 years since their conversion from communism to democracy. Definitely worth a visit and the tour is free.

A beautiful large square where traditions and modernity mix. You will see the theater, the famous mosaic of the national museum and a mosque. A cross between the modern side of the city with its new buildings that grow everywhere, and the historic statues and minarets. A nice square for walks and photographs, but once you see it, you move on.

Albania is very beautiful country and it's nature but in Tirana there is nothing to do here just a place to walk in the city center and the telefrik (cable car), i am recommending to discover the country in north amd south more than staying a single night in Tirana. Just pass couple of hours to see Tirana city center if you are interested it's very crowded no parking slots in most of streets.

Great place downtown just to enjoy the day. Big and spacious, i enjoyed watching people here. Surroundings are buildings from different era and different style, ottomona, brutalist, modern architecture.. very beautiful contrast. Try also visit at night, it has different vibes with all the lights. So many shops and restaurants nearby. Also its a very great idea to find a hotel around here.

Berat is, in general, a beautiful place and shouldn’t be missed on any trip through Albania. The highlight, of course, is the wonderful, well-preserved castle. You can spend several hours up there and feast your eyes on everything. There are also good restaurants within the fortress, and it’s easy to reach. You get fantastic views over the surrounding towns and the mountains. For me, Berat Castle was the most impressive place on my trip through Albania, which is why I can recommend it without reservation!

If you're in Berat, make sure to visit Berat Castle—it’s one of the top highlights in the city. The location offers incredible panoramic views over the Osum River, the Gorica Bridge, and the iconic red rooftops of Mangalem. It’s both a historic site and a living neighborhood, with locals still residing within the castle walls. My favorite castle in Albania ! really cool town/ fort at the top of the hill . no entry fee/ really nice views / pretty well preserved castle walls/ church/ etc. plenty to explore and nice area to walk around . Access options : from berat it’s a longer walk up (but easy drive) from the street near the roundabout is a shorter walk up but bumpy road at the beginning (wouldn’t recommend driving) , and from the church way is an adventurous trail walk up (saw families with children hiking up this way)

Visited the castle on a summer and its scorching hot. Not much shade here and the heat was excessive. It is an interesting historic place and im sure it would be a nice place to explore on a more friendly weather. Saw some churches. There are 2 mosques inside the castle/citadel, both of them are now only ruins. The view from the top is beautiful, you can see the modern city and the old city.

Very beautiful place with cobblestone streets, tiled roofs and fantastic panoramic views. We bought a standard tour, so we had to rush from one place to another. If your travel plans allow, come outside of a tourist group and spend more time in this great place.

A must see whilst in Berat, you can easily walk up the hill via the main road. There's amenities once you get to the top with plenty of cafes and restaurants. I personally don't recommend driving up as it can get busy so expect having to reverse up a steep hill.

One of the most beautiful castles in the Balkans, it showcases remarkable Byzantine architecture and style. This large, still-inhabited fortress once held over 50 churches, of which around 20 remain active today. It is home to the Onufri Museum, the Church of Saint Triadha, and numerous other historic monuments. The view is absolutely spectacular a full 360 degrees allowing visitors to enjoy the surrounding nature as well as breathtaking vew of Mount Tomorr to the east and Mount Shpirag to the west.

swam here in October. made it over to the rocks. 15 minute swim across choppy waters... safe as long as you are a strong and confident swimmer. also swam through the cave which is a bit rough but easier if you swim with the incoming tide and not against it. my pictures were taken from the offshore rocks so unique vantage point

I LOVED this spot. I came at 5pm and it was perfect. The sun was hot, but I never needed sunscreen. The water was refreshingly cold and serene. There are many places to lay around on the rocks. I never even went down to the sandy 🏖️ beach as it was way too overcrowded. There are so many fun places to jump into the water, little caves to swim inside of or climb onto. The view is spectacular. There is free public parking right at the entrance.

We were there at 7 in the evening. The waves were very big, and by then only a few people were swimming. The sun shines beautifully there, it’s a great spot for photos. Definitely check it out if you’re in Corfu. The water is murky for swimming, but the view from above is stunning.

The canal is really nice and worth a visit. It can get a bit crowded (as expected), but still enjoyable. I’d recommend spending a few hours here to take in the atmosphere before heading to one of the many nearby beaches.

Canal d’Amour – A Natural Masterpiece in Corfu Visiting Canal d’Amour in Corfu was like stumbling into a dream-landscape of sea, stone, and legend. From the moment I arrived, I felt its magic — the way the sunlight strikes the sandstone cliffs, the narrow channel carved by wind and waves, the promise of romance woven in every ripple. This place isn’t just a beach; it’s an immersive moment in nature’s artistry. First, the setting: Canal d’Amour is on the north-western coast of Corfu, near the village of Sidari between Sidari and Peroulades. The location is quite accessible by car or taxi, with nearby parking — though during the busy season you’ll want to arrive early to avoid the crowds. What makes Canal d’Amour truly special are the rock formations. Sheer sandstone cliffs sculpted over centuries have created a channel and several small coves and caves. Natural arches, tunnels, small lagoons, all of them bathed in crystalline, turquoise water that invites you to swim, snorkel, explore. Legend enhances the atmosphere: swim through the channel with someone you love, they say, and your bond will last forever. It’s romantic, playful, maybe a little cheesy — but I loved every bit of that folklore. The beach area itself is relatively small, which gives it charm but also poses limitations. At times the shore is crowded, towels and umbrellas packed in tightly, especially in peak summer. There’s beauty in that shared enthusiasm, but also moments when you have to compete with others for a good spot. If possible, go early in the morning or later in the afternoon when the light is softer and the crowds ease up. Amenities are pretty good. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, nearby tavernas and cafés where you can grab something to eat or drink, restrooms, places to change. It’s not ultra-luxurious, but everything you need for a comfortable visit is there. One of my favorite moments was exploring the sea caves and the small bays. Swimming under rock overhangs, peering into caverns, feeling the water shift from calm and shallow to deeper blue as you move away from the shore. The views from above are just as striking: walking along the rock edges, looking out over the sea and cliffs, and watching the sun set — that golden hour is unforgettable. If I had to sum it up: Canal d’Amour is more than a photo-op — it’s nature, story, and landscape fused in one place. It’s not perfect (crowds can be a downside, the beach small), but those imperfections don’t erase the wonder. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Corfu. Go with open eyes, a spirit for adventure, and maybe someone you care about — the legend says it matters 😉.

The Canal d’Amour, or “Channel of Love,” is a famous natural attraction near the town of Sidari on the northern coast of Corfu. It consists of unique sandstone cliffs and narrow coves carved by the sea, creating small, intimate beaches and crystal-clear waters. According to local legend, couples who swim through the canal together will stay in love forever, which adds a romantic charm to the place. The scenery is striking, with golden cliffs, turquoise water, and hidden corners perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or simply enjoying the sun.

A coastal feature a.k.a the Canal D'amour. The soft shale or a similar rock type is being eroded by the waves to expose the coloured strata and form a little canal and larger bay.

Nice shallow beach, good prices for renting boats and a lot of options for sun umbrellas and lunches.

Beautiful small beaches, we went just before the season started so most shop were shut but still plenty to see and do. Water sports place was open so we hired a boat for 2 hours. Great fun

The views by the canal are breathtaking, however this beach is not it. Water is way too shallow, dirty and muddy. Its like a lagoon. The prices are the cheapest we have seen on the whole island, but the prices are sadly the only positive.

Nice looking beach with great views to Albany but absolutely rubbish if you like to swim. Seabed is totally uneven, you can be far away and suddenly have water up to your knees only. It's only getting deep next to the delimiting floaters but it's not safe at all there with idiots and their speed boats cutting through all the time. Loads of seaweed, which really isn't pleasant when accidently swimming through it because of the uneven seabed. Finally, beware of urchins!

Had a great 6 nights here. Got a west-facing room and just about managed to see some sunsets (due to time of the year!). Breakfast had nearly everything you could want. Staff were excellent. Pool was nice. Location of hotel was perfect. Watch out for mosquitos at night and have breakfast inside if you can to avoid the wasps! Didn't have dinner here but the pool menu was more expensive than I expected - although similar to bars/restaurants nearby. Would return

A really good hotel with beach access, nice swimming pools and great views on both sides. I would say it is good value for money for what you get. The breakfast buffet is endless with a huge variety of good quality options (one small thing - it would have been nice to have fresh fruit juice, not concentrate). We had a superior bay view room, we were a little disappointed with the view as it was restricted so I would recommend a sea view room instead. Overall though a great place and we’d stay again

Beautiful! Love the calm vibe. The hotel has two sides with equally gorgeous views. Access to the beach is down many steps so may not suit some. The Rocky beach was more secluded and great for snorkelling, access to water from a ladder! Main beach is beautiful and accessible from hotel terraces that are never too busy. Rooms are clean and love the Olivia Thinks shampoos and body lotions. Breakfast included and something for everyone’s tastes.

Excellent experience! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff extremely polite, and the stay comfortable and relaxing. We will definitely visit again. We were absolutely satisfied. The cleanliness, tranquility, and service exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it. A wonderful place to relax and unwind. The attention to detail and the kindness of the staff make all the difference. We can’t wait to return.

Totally worth it! Rooms are lovely and the staff is so incredibly helpful and wonderful. And of course, the cliffside sunbathing area is just to die for. Totally lived up to the photos and hype. I was out there everyday having the time of my life. Reading and swiming in the water all day long. Playing in the near by sea caves, and snorkeling and enjoying the sea life. The food here is wonderful! Make sure to get the half board, it's totally worth it. Also, make sure to make an appt to eat at their bar, food was phenomenal! My husband and I rented a car while here, but there is a bus that run from the Hotel to Corfu all day long. And it hardly costs anything. We actually used it to go into Old Town so we wouldn't have to worry about parking. The only complaint is that people will go put their towels down by the rocks, and leave them there for hours. Taking up the few sun bathing beds there are in the cliffside. I wish the staff would oversee that area. The rest of the resort has signs that say if you leave your things in attended for 30 min, they will be removed. People would put their towels out and disappear for 2 hours for breakfast, then for a couple hours again for lunch. I thought it was rude! I always would take my towel with me when I left and offer my seat to someone else. Trying to hog a spot seemed so awful and just plain selfish. Especially as there were times I would come and go and the entire time the person who's spot was saved, was never there! Literally, once I noticed for 3 hours a couple didn't show up. Even though other couples came and went hoping for a spot.

Outstanding experience. Celebrating anniversary and were upgraded. From the modern, zen-inspired design and furnishings in suite, the incredible views from most everywhere in hotel, the friendliness of the hard working staff, wonderful breakfast offerings to the personal touches we enjoyed like our immaculately cleaned suite (thanks Maria!) and beautiful towel art. We also received a few special gifts from the staff for our anniversary. In my family’s many years of travel, we have never encountered such care and attention to detail as we did at Akrotiri Beach Resort and the next time we are privileged enough to visit Corfu again, we will absolutely be sure to stay here again. Thanks for such a wonderful stay❤️

This hotel is beautiful. The only “negative” I would say is that there are a lot of stairs in order to reach the beach. I would be concerned with how elderly or people with disabilities would be able to access the beach. The staff is incredibly nice. The rooms are very clean. The view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking. A buffet breakfast is available from 7:45-10:45 with my stay. There are restaurants within walking distance! I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Gjirokastër Castle is definitely a must-visit if you're in southern Albania. It’s a place filled with history, with a dark and somber atmosphere — especially with so many old prison cells spread throughout. The entrance is paid, but unfortunately, the site could use better maintenance and preservation efforts. There's a lot of dust and loose soil around, and since the castle is exposed to the wind, it can get quite dusty and uncomfortable for visitors. Still, it's a powerful and historical site that’s worth seeing, just be prepared for the conditions.

Incredible experience! You get free range to wander through the entire castle. We spend well over two hours walking around and exploring the castle. There is a second museum within the castle that cost extra to go into. I would recommend paying to go in, it was very informative.

We bought the tickets online, so we skipped the huge line at the entrance. The castle is incredible, make sure to go with enough time to explore everything calmly. It has a beautiful view and a fascinating history. Definitely worth a visit!

The view is stunning, you can see the whole city from above. There are some interesting areas and hidden paths to discover. Even on a busy day, there is plenty of space to move around, they also have toilets inside.

Personally loved this place, amazing views and quite striking thinking about all the 1500+ history and the effort that was put into building it over the time. Went through so many changes and has some haunting stories of the past both recent and historic. Recommended if you’re in the city and looking for something to see and absorb

A really wonderful place to visit. The castle is well preserved and you can feel the history of the place. The views of Gjirokastra were fantastic and the castle was not really busy at all. Tickets at the office were cash only but we were advised to purchase online to avoid going to an ATM. They were only 300L and well worth it. The staff were helpful and polite.

This castle is indeed a very nice attraction and a must if you visit Albania or Sarande! The view from here is absolutely amazing and also it's full of history and many architectural interests. I recommend this place!

The place is amazing, full of history, and it has a very unique charm. The only thing I missed was a little shop or a refreshment stand… The area is quite large, so I would have appreciated some place to buy water or a small snack😊

We visited Butrint National Park and were truly impressed – it’s a beautiful and enchanting place full of history. However, I left with the feeling that more investment is needed in the park. There’s still so much to be discovered, with some monuments partially buried or even underwater. It’s a site with huge potential that deserves more preservation and attention. I also think guided tours inside the park would be a great addition – I would happily pay to learn more about its rich and fascinating history!

I was hesitant to visit because of the summer heat, but the park is surprisingly shaded, and there's a lovely breeze from the water that keeps things comfortable. The archaeological site is fascinating, with explanations at each part of the monument to guide you through. It takes about an hour to walk around, and while some paths are a bit steep, it’s manageable, just be sure to wear good shoes. The views are stunning, especially from the acropolis. Don’t miss the walk up, it gives you a breathtaking view of the entire site.

Well worth the visit. The ancient city has a ton of history from greek, roman, ottoman and venetian times. Mix of ancient ruins and more recent castles. Unfortunately no turtles there in early October

Very interesting peninsula with many ruins of Ancient Greek, Roman and Medieval structures, highlighting the historic meaning of Butrint. The visit takes about 2-3 hours and despite the heat, it was still manageable thanks to the abundance of shade. Highly recommended to visit when you are in the south of Albania

Lovely place to walk and visit with a lot of history! As you spend some time here, would have been nice to be able to get a drink or a snack but there was no place to get at least a bottle of water. Make sure you bring something to drink or snack with you.

Fascinating place if you like history. I walked here one morning (slightly accidental as I was only supposed to stroll to the bay near my hotel but missed my turn). Spent a couple of hours wandering around the old ruins. It’s lot bigger than I expected and well worth the 1000 lek/10€. Traffic was gridlocked at the entrance / little ferry when I left though. Pleased I walked it despite the heat. It’s worth parking at the top in car park over looking the bay and walking the last bit

I recommend having a tour guide give you the history of this place. The statues around the villa are awesome. Give yourself an hour maybe a little more to go through this site.

Unfortunately the Palace itself was closed for renovations during our visit. However, we were able to explore the grounds which are beautiful and have amazing views. Disappointing we had to pay full entry fee for half of the experience.

Nice gardens, spectacular views and the gardens refurbishment is looking good. The building is not much more than 100 years old and is currently closed. The building must have looked impressive in it's heyday but has been neglected for a long time so is in a really poor state of repair. I felt quite sad to see it like this and expect a lot of time, money and skill will be needed to bring it back to it's former glory. Worth a visit but manage your expectations accordingly.

Beautiful place to visit and visit the Muses, as well as Achilles. ❤️ The building itself is currently being updated though, so you can't go in. The Gardens and statues are absolutely gorgeous though and it overlooks the city in the distance.

The garden was beautiful. Unfortunately the place is closed due to refurbishment. But there are couple of screens set up around the gardens where you can watch history of Sissi. You have to go and see massive statue of Achilles with a stunning view that will leave you speechless. Tickets for adult was €7 (only garden)

The Achilleion Palace on Corfu looks serene under a cloudy sky. Its neoclassical walls and statues blend with the soft gray light, giving the place a quiet, timeless charm.

Beautiful location with imposing statues. The interior was closed at the time of our visit but I enjoyed seeing just the gardens for a slightly reduced fee.

We had an amazing canyoning and rappelling experience today with our three daughters, it was absolutely perfect! The team was outstanding, connecting with the kids in such a natural way, making them feel confident and allowing them to truly enjoy the experience. Olga, her husband, and the entire skilled crew were incredibly welcoming, friendly, professional, and safety-conscious. Highly recommended! They drive you to the start of the trail and pick you up at the end, and even spoil you with delicious homemade cookies from Olga’s mother-in-law and alcohol crafted by Olga herself... A truly delightful experience!

We had a wonderful rafting day in Papigo! The amazing Olga gave us detailed information before our arrival and made sure we had all the necessary gear: wetsuits, shoes, and helmets to make the trip a success! The team was professional, kind, and skilled, stopping along the route at beautiful spots – the nature in the area is simply breathtaking! They also took amazing photos with their own cameras during the rafting and send via email 😍 We were 6 adults and 2 children, and everyone agreed it was an unforgettable experience! This was by far one of the best tours we took 😊 Olga was super responsive, with excellent communication. They arrived on time, and the equipment was top quality. They were very patient and gave the kids time to change into wetsuits. Yiannis, the guide, was very clear and explained everything to us calmly. The tea break in the middle was right on the spot! Highly recommended — I would definitely go again! My kid Adds: The Guide Yiannis was really patient and nice. He explained very well and I learned the movements of the oar. The Guide also came with a smile on his face 🙂 the water was really nice and clear. This time my experience was completely different — and in the best way! The hotel is still wonderful, with its beautiful views, spotless rooms, and perfect location near the beach. But the biggest change was at reception: the gentleman who welcomed me was super friendly, helpful, and made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. It’s amazing how much a warm smile and kind attitude can elevate the whole stay. This hotel is very good due to its location and very friendly staff. The hotel itself is very modern and of a high standard. My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The food quality in the restaurant is very good and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast each morning in the nice setting next to the pool. The walk into Parga centre is approximately 15 minutes, however we stopped at Mikes bar for a cocktail which was a nice way of breaking up the journey. There is also the option of the little boat taxi which seems to be quite regular. As far as our room was concerned it was just ok. We had a two bedroom apartment which had lovely views to the sea and was quite spacious. There were a few things which let it down. Firstly the bathroom was quite old and dated and could do with modernising. We has a bathtub instead of a shower which meant standing in a bath which had a sloping bottom. It was a little dangerous stepping over the bath edge whilst standing on a slippy sloping surface. I couldn’t figure out how to fill the bath as it seems the water can no longer be diverted from the shower so the bath was useless anyway. Another thing to mention is that there were no full length mirrors anywhere in the apartment which my wife and daughter found to be a problem. The only mirrors available had no plug socket near so using a hairdryer was a challenge. We really loved the hotel and our stay here. We would happily stay here again but maybe would not book the two bedroom apartment.

Nice hotel with good service in Parga. Great location by the beach, but parking can be tricky if you don't find a lucky spot. Pool closed too early and food was just okay, overall good experience but felt overpriced.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, its fresh and modern. Quite clearly had some serious money spent on it. The staff are fantastic and cant do enough to help. However its not without its small problem, there were a few issues which let it down. We booked through TUI, (rated 3☆) and was expecting €2 room tax, but when we got there, its official rating is 4☆. We were there for 3 weeks, we truly didn't expect €210 room tax. This was a massive shock for us. Sunbeds: there aren't enough. If you want one, then get up at 7.30. (Otherwise forget it). Anyway they have hotel beds on the beach so not all's lost. And we actually prefer the beach anyway, However, these are charged at €15~20 per pair. So thats another €300, that we wasn't expecting. With no discount for hotel guests, and no 'eat in our restaurant ' incentive. Then when you do rent a hotel beach sunbed, you can't take your own food & drinks. The pool suffered an algal bloom of some sort. the water was murky green for at least a week to ten days. I wouldn't have let my dog swim in it, let alone guests. Our bathroom had an occasional foul smell. It would be fine for 3 or 4 days, then the next day it would be back. It would just come and go occasionally. I suspected the shower grid. In conclusion: ive no doubt it was rated 4☆ for a valid reason, but im not convinced that it should still be rated 4☆. It's probably the most modern and cleanest greek place we've stayed in, but i've stayed in just as good 3☆ establishments. We had a really nice time, but for what we spent and what we received, it could have been better.

An impressive place, definitely worth visiting and a person to experience their own adventure. You need aqua shoes because the water is quite cold, as well as a dry bag for luggage, they are sold in the parking lot. In places the water is deep, but everyone can explore as far as they want. They offer a variety of adventures, horseback riding, kayaks and boats on the river.

Lovely place with stunning, picturesque sites, definitely worth visiting. But the river is freezingly cold, literally could not keep my feet in it for more than ten seconds. Rafting is a must and we chose the first one to offer us this, at the very beginning of the tourist site. All in all, really well-organized, and definitely we will come again some day, just fully- equipped next time, to be able to explore more of the canyon.

The best excretion in the area... One of the best rivers to walk and swim in Greece... Really worth the visit and try some of the activities in the river like horse riding, zip line, cayak etc.... Highly highly recommended really impressed with the area...suitable for all ages from very young children

"Are you far from the river?". Our trip to the River Acheron was the highlight of our recent holiday in Parga. It is a truly extraordinary experience which I will never forget. The water is refreshingly cold and it gets so deep at points at the Gorge that you may have to swim. There is also rafting, kayaking and horse riding. There are plenty of places to eat in Acheron, beautiful open-air stores and bathroom facilities.

Life changing experience. Be prepared for cold swims and a bit of climbing. Bring swimming shoes though, or buy some before entering! Truly an incredible experience that everyone should go through at least once in their life.

Very informative tour and guide. He really knew a lot of facts to tell us about everything and every period shown in the museum. And even knew some historical facts about the First World War in Greece. I really learned a lot from him about Greek history which I didn't knew yet.

It's definitely worth your while. The surroundings are like you're in a cave. Attention is paid to every detail, even weed growing between stones!

One of the most beautiful museums - the wax statues are so detailed you feel they are alive.set in different periods they show scenes of the most significant events in the Greek history. The building inside is cleverly designed - you go through dark corridors and see the statues behind windows in various scenes. The last part is the artist's selection of various events . No photos or videos are allowed. Don't miss it!

The personages seems not so "real" and if you are "claustrophobic " its not a good idea to go here you are in the dark and it's cold and some personages move her eyes to look at you ... you don't feel so relax and you can not take photography and if you take the security gonna follow you on your back until the end like you have killed someone or like you have do the one abominable think it's stupid and crazy because in England you have the same thing and better with all the cinema star and you can take photos and touch the personages and it's seems more real it's stupid !

A very nice beach. The water was very nice and warm. Parking was free on the side of the road and there was plenty of space for public or private beach. It is worth a visit here.

Incredible beach with all shades of blue color water of the sea. Waves are large and increasing with each hour until evening. There are restaurants, wc, parking and shower , umbrella and beds. We took parking under cower with two beds and umbrella 15 euro all. On the beach there is savior. On the sea must be careful, beach It starts with sand - finely ground pebbles, and then large stones in the water. You must go to the water without everything- sunglasses, shoes , hat, because everything will change and you won't notice . On this beach you do not need swimming mask . Magnificent picture all around there. The horizon is incredibleand so endless.

Beautiful beach, but very crowded in the season. There is almost always wind and waves, so you can forget about the heat. This beach is not for non-swimmers and small children. It is recommended to try paragliding.

Most easiest access to the beach with all comforts when you choose between Egremni, Porto Katsiki and Katishma. Also includes beach clubs, restaurants and different activities 😊

Kathisma is one of the most beautiful beaches on Lefkada and definitely worth visiting. The beach is long and wide, with plenty of space to find a good spot. Sunbeds are around 20€ for the ordinary ones, or 25€ for the wooden set with parking included, which is very convenient since parking can get busy in high season. The beach itself has small smooth pebbles instead of sand, which makes the water crystal clear. After just a few steps it gets deeper, so be careful if you’re not a strong swimmer. The waves are usually big and fun, great for people who enjoy a bit of adventure in the sea. There are also water sports available for those looking for more activities. Restaurants and bars are located right by the beach, offering food and drinks throughout the day. Overall, it’s a lively beach with good facilities, beautiful scenery, and a bit of everything – relaxation, fun, and comfort.

Sky blue waters, The water was murky and the mask didn't work. The beach was fine sand and for some like me it is not comfortable. You can bring your own umbrella or you can pay sunbeds. There was a lot of free parking but also private parking 5€/day. You need to get up early 9-9.30am to be at the place if you are looking for free :) The locals told me that you have to be carefoul when its windy and there are bid waves bcs some people has lost their lives! Meanwhile you can do paragliding there. Bars and restaurants was close by.

Very nice and climatic place. You need to walk around 10-15 minutes to reach the place from the parking place. There is a lot of people be aware. I had a plan to get into the water while being there, but when I reached the destination I decided not too. The waterfall is too small (not enough rain) and water is simply dirty as there is not enough to run fast.

Depending on the season, you should expect to see different views and experiences. When I visited the cascade in summer, there was little to no water flow. However, the 10-minute walk through the gorge to reach the cascade was still very pleasant and absolutely worthwhile. Swimming is still possible, although the water is quite cold. At the entrance of the gorge, there’s a lovely café shaded by a huge plane tree, which I highly recommend for relaxing after the short trek. When you visit come with seaside shoes or sport shoes. Small kids can reach with some assistance from the parents. Parking is available near the café, but spots are limited. Depending on the time of day and season, finding a space can range from easy to a bit challenging—so plan accordingly.

It was a great experience overall and everything there was really nice. However, reaching the top was quite challenging—there were no clear visual paths, some rocks were falling from above, and of course, the little water that was there was freezing cold. Still, if you’ve got the stamina to make it, I definitely recommend visiting this place 100%!

The day that we visited the waterfalls didn’t have the chance to see the beauty that have been described about ( first week of August) due to lack of rain in the past few months, but the path that you have to follow to get there is wonderful. Almost fully covered with great shadows of the surrounding trees is recommended through the hot day hours. There is a wonderful coffee-bar that serves local refreshments, small snacks coffees and more , as well as a small shop with local products ( honey , marmalade and small gifts for loved ones!!!)

A short easy hike but be careful what time of year you will choose to visit as in the summer the waterfall might be completely dry.

A breathtaking place. The initial construct is an architectural marvel built within a spectacular natural setting. Believer or not, you will enjoy this place. The magnificent natural environment on the route adds to the experience. The narrow roads require caution, especially to inexperienced drivers.

It s always a treat to visit this monastery and chapel. Everything is so meticulous. There was a bit of rain so took umbrellas to walk the 300 meters from the parking lot. It was quiet which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the church. Enjoyed the bread samples and the Turkish Delight which they offer. This is the third time web have visited.

The Monastery of Proussos was named from the Icon of Panagia Prousiotissa from Proussa in Minor Asia. It is a historic building that has kept expanding due to donations. The location is impressive and it can get very busy as buses arrive from all over the world to visit this. We loved the old clock and the oldest part of the monastery. One star less as it looked more like a business modern monastery that does not fit with the older part of the church. Still architectonically it is beautiful and you should definitely visit it.

Beautiful monastry with a very old and small church with the ancient icon of The Holy Mother. A bit crowdy and hard to reach but very rewarding if you do the effort to come there.

Apart from the monastery and the intriguing history of its namesake, Panaghia Prousiotissa (an icon of the Virgin Mary that originated in Proussa, Asia Minor), the surrounding area is gorgeous. Below the curvy road that leads to the monastery and cut into the mountainside, lies a river with turquoise waters that can be viewed throughout the drive. There are also interesting stops along the way -- like the "Virgin's footsteps." The monastery is just 35 kilometers from Karpenissi, a winter haven for snow skiing, as well as all-season hiking and exploring. Overall a must-do excursion.

Very beautiful monastery in a special location. It's amazing the feeling you get when you get there and face it. We enjoyed the view, we learned the history of the monastery from a monk who wanted to explain it to us. Information: Better not to bother the monks unless they show you they are available. Some are there to get away from other people and get closer to god through prayer.

Really incredible visit. The views are top notch and the entire site is exquisite to visit and learn about. We were nervous about the time to drive up from Athens, but we hired a driver for the day and it was worth every bit of the cost. Not only a driver, but guiding us along the drive and pointing us in the right direction once at the site. Worth doing, don’t drive yourself and I’d avoid the massive tour buses. Very much worth a visit all around. Do the site first and museum second. Bring water and be prepared for hills.

Wonderful museum and archeological site closed to the modern village of Delphi. The museum has wonderful artifacts but is not overpoweringly large. There is a good flow through the development of Delphi as a sacred site and it's demise before being restored by the Romans. The archilogical site is deceptively large, winding a long way up the mountainside. Allow at least 90 minutes to see the whole site. Cafe at museum ticket office serves good coffee and sandwiches. The shop is a bit twee but has some interesting items. Main downside of the site is the toilets. There is nowhere near enough for the volume of visitors and the inevitable queues and lack of cleanliness are quite offputiing. Much better to take the short walk into a taverna in the village, and probably as quick

Delphi was absolutely breathtaking — one of the highlights of my trip to Greece. The combination of stunning mountain views, ancient ruins, and peaceful atmosphere makes it a truly special place. Walking through the archaeological site, you can really feel the history and imagine what it must have been like thousands of years ago. The Temple of Apollo, the ancient theater, and the stadium are incredible to see up close, and the museum adds great context with beautifully preserved artifacts. Everything is well organized and easy to explore, and the scenery surrounding the site is simply majestic — it feels almost spiritual.

We visited ancient site first due to rain, but recommend museum first. Great exhibits. Do not miss an allow at least 2 hours. Came later in the day and seemed ho be thinning out. Lots if tourist busses. Also was able to park on street close to museum for free. Lots of great artifacts and pieces of history.

Lots to see, varying degrees of difficulty great for individuals with wide range of physical capabilities, and must have a good knowledgeable guide to bring the site to life. Little known fact, a landslide in the last few years has made the area around and access to the Athena temple a restricted no entry area. However, there are plenty of amazing views and spaces to rest in the shade that allows you to soak it all up.

Delphi and the museum are just wonderful. There really is something special about the site and the museum is concise and has great information about the history of the area and more. Definitely worth the visit! My only drawback was the very expensive cafe at the museum - I bought a half a tiny pizza that was tasty but somewhat dry and far, far too costly.

It was a long drive from Athens but it was worth it. If you have time, it's definitely worth seeing there. The same ticket works both for the Museum a d the Archeological Site. Beautiful history and well preserved statues. Highly recommended 👌🏼

Impressive place to visit if you are in historical stuff, or have a vivid imagination, took me about an hour to study it but the sun was unforgivable, take sunscreen and put it on all your body parts :) there is a car parking at the top. The place is quite amazing.

Very interesting history and some very impressive sights. Some of the paths are slippery and hard to walk on so be mindful of what shoes you wear. Costs 20 per person so not bad but would be a much better value if you are a history buff. The experience was quite humbling at times thinking about the ancient civilization. Parking was nuts and it wasn’t even that busy of a day. Overall we were happy we went but it isn’t something we’d pay for again.

We stopped by on our way to Nafplion and it was totally worth it. The site is surrounded by mountains, and the views are just amazing - both towards the peaks and the sea. We arrived around 10 in the morning and it was already pretty busy, parking wasn’t easy to find. By around 1 p.m. it got really crowded, so it’s better to come earlier if you can. The ticket costs 20€, which feels a bit pricey, but the place is quite big and full of interesting things to see — tombs, caves, and old stone walls. Definitely a must-see if you’re in the area.

Very extensive site with good explanations in Greek and English. The parking was a bit tight but cleared out after buses left at midday. I love the beehive tomb very unusual in my experience.

A must-see, of course! Even though not much remains from the Bronze Age structures, it’s fascinating to walk through the site and imagine how this mighty citadel once stood proudly atop the hill, surrounded by majestic mountains and a breathtaking landscape. Don’t miss the royal tombs, especially the Treasury of Atreus (or Tomb of Agamemnon) located a bit further down the road — it’s truly impressive!

Parking is small, it gets filled up quickly. The museum should be visited first for a better understanding. The Mycenian culture greatly influenced other peoples, it is very significant in history. The city is huge and with lots of monumental architecture. Too little info onsite to be honest.

A must visit site for anyone interested in the Mycenaean civilisation. Be warned though, there is very little shade and thus no real respite from the heat on a hot day. Additionally, the 'cafe' at the entrance is run by a scalper - €5 for a litre of water is outrageous.

Nice place to stop by! Such a deep and narrow cuts which separates the Peloponnese peninsula from the Greek mainland. With a nice history behind ofcourse. Only the view from the bridge is stunning. I wanted to try bungee jumping here but it was closed 😩 Still, totally worth the visit!

Had an amazing boat ride through the Corinth canal both ways. Only €22 each on Anna 11 cruises. Lasted about an hour or so and went from the quay on the Athens side of the canal. It's incredible how it was dug and dynamited out of the rocks. Very steep sides in places with road and rail bridges spanning it. Well worth doing. Maravilho.

At around €100 per person, it’s definitely on the pricier side, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that adds a real adrenaline rush to your visit. Parking was easy and the area felt tourist-friendly. I’d highly recommend stopping here if you’re passing through the region — even a short visit is worth it!

The Corinth Canal is a fascinating sight. Typically, tour buses heading to the Peloponnese start there for a rest break and spend a few minutes seeing the canal. The ancient Greeks and Romans dreamed of building a canal here, but lack the technical ability. It was completed in the late 1800s using steam equipment. If you are able, suggest driving to the Diolkos. This was the ancient road that ran across the isthmus, mainly to transfer goods and on rare occasions ships.

You can't imagine how much I love Corinth canal, it looks unreal. I was many times here and always is amazing. I can stand on the bridge all day long. Don't miss this beauty.

It it really is one of the most beautiful sights in Greece not far away from Athens 1 hour drive. Truly mesmerizing and if you are up for the bungee jumping experience that's another plus

Beautiful views from the top, the panoramas are really worth it. Unfortunately, the site itself is poorly maintained, not really visitable inside, and the €20 entrance fee is absolutely too much. I’m giving it 3 stars mainly because of the price – €5–10 would be more appropriate considering the limited access and its recent history.

A fantastic place to visit in Nafplio! The view from the top is absolutely stunning, especially when the water around the town turns that beautiful blue-green turquoise shade. There are several viewpoints around the fortress, so take your time to walk around and enjoy the different perspectives. There’s also a small café inside for a quick break. You can either climb up the famous stairs or drive up — both options are worth it. The only downside is that the ticket price feels a bit high, but overall, it’s definitely worth the visit for the view alone!

Absolutely gorgeous views and a very impressive fortress. The architecture and preservation is amazing. We had so much fun exploring and there seemed to be a new view around every corner. I was surprised they even had a little snack cafe’ in the main area and it appeared they were working on some sort of museum as well. Oh…bring good shoes with traction. You’ll thank me later.

The view from the top is breathtaking — you can see the entire town of Nafplio, the sea, and the surrounding mountains. It’s worth every single step of the climb (or drive up if you prefer). The fortress itself is massive, beautifully preserved, and full of history. You can easily spend a couple of hours exploring the different bastions, tunnels, and stone pathways. Every corner has a different perspective and photo opportunity. It’s peaceful, scenic, and gives you a real sense of Greek history and architecture. Whether you hike up the 999 steps or drive to the entrance.

The fortress is an impressive place with amazing views over Nafplio and the sea. The history and atmosphere are truly worth experiencing. However, the entrance fee (20€ per person) feels a bit high, especially since there’s no museum or additional exhibition inside. It takes no time at all to climb the stairs, but walking down the road will take you about an hour.

The Palamidi Fortress, a grand and impressive Venetian fortress, is nestled on the crest of a high hill overlooking Nafplio. A must-see sight, it feels like a never-ending structure that sprawls across most of the hill. It’s a top destination to visit if you’re nearby, as exploring it and learning about its rich history can take two hours or more. You can access it by climbing 913 steps from the town of Nafplio or by car/taxi, which brings you directly to the fortress entrance, where parking is available. We recommend arriving early, as the parking fills up quickly. The fortress also offers free public restrooms, a bar, and a museum shop.

Nice beach in Napfliou, you rent the chairs for 15 euro a pair. Beer is 8 euro for 2 big ones. Water is warm but very salty.

I love Tolo beach outside of the season. Its nicer when its not over crowded. Its a sandy, shallow beach which is child friendly for that reason. There are many bars and taverns also a water park at the beach. Tolo beach used to be a blue flag beach, but it has lost its flag in summer of 2025 due to disorganization of the beachside and garbage. The water quality is still good.

Love this area! Clean beach, many shops and restaurants. The growing city is making parking more difficult. Many nice hotels available.

Tolo, unfortunately, has been overexploited through the years. Don't let the seemingly picturesque photos fool you. The beach that used to be the main attraction is literally covered with seats and sunbeds from the local shops. If this was done tastefully, it would be fine. However, the prices are similar to those found in Greek islands and kitsch is the order of the day everywhere. Go to Nafplio instead instead of spending a day here

A beautiful sandy beach with shallow water. There are outdoor showers, deckchairs, changing cabins, free parking, food, drinks, shallow water in the sea for non-swimmers and for children. There is not much space for sports on the beach, but it is worth visiting. Fun little beach.

When there is no wind, the water is amazing, clean, warm, and relaxing. Not deep for many meters far from the beach. Closer to the end of the day you could experience great waves, therefore, kids and adults are full of joy 😁

Amazing condition with only basic restoration. To be able to climb tge steps & sit on the ancient seats is such a treasure. Would be fantastic to attend a show there. A small museum was also quite interesting. The walk through the remaining archaeological site was sadly cut short due to rainy weather.

This is a place to visit indeed, a massive and well-restored ancient theatre overlooking the mountains. We have seen other theaters before, in Thermessos, Aspendos and Phaselis in Antalya, this one is far bigger though. The place has great acoustics and definitely worth a visit, there’s also a museum with findings and inscriptions from the past and a large archeological site.

Incredible site to see! Highly recommend. If you sing, this is a chance to get heard by strangers for an impromptu performance with amazing acoustics and likely applause from visitors. We got lucky and got to hear a short casual performance.

An absolutely incredible site and a must-see in Greece! The ancient theatre of Epidaurus is astonishingly well preserved and famous for its perfect acoustics — you can literally hear someone speaking or dropping a coin from the stage, even from the top rows. The setting among green hills adds to the magic of the place. The surrounding archaeological site and small museum are also worth a visit. It’s an easy and peaceful walk around. Truly one of the highlights of any trip to the Peloponnese!

Really impressive space. The amount of constructions around the place, the sheer size of the theater, the unbelievable acoustics, the good state of conservation, the scenery, everything make up for an unforgetable experience. A must.

It’s impressive to see the theatre, views from the top are wonderful. We did also catch a girl briefly singing & the acoustics are just amazing. The rest of it is just ruins! Very expensive at €20 each - it’s not worth that. No audio guide, not even a restaurant open! No discount for English seniors either, EU only! Another brexit bonus. It was dog friendly - though not allowed in the actual theatre.

The place exceeded my expectations! We didn't manage to see ancient theatres in Athens, but coming here was much better experience. First of all because of much quieter location, much greener, lovely nature and the whole complex around. The theatre structure itself deserves a credit for being preserved so well. Parking at the entrance is huge, no worries about where to leave your car. All info tablets are in two languages, wonderful museum with sculptures. But, obviously, visiting place in mid-October also contributed to my super positive experience. Looking at infrastructure, I can imagine flow of people here in summer.

It's a beautiful temple, which I highly recommend visiting to learn about its historical significance. It's one of the three temples in the "Sacred Triangle." Admission is 10 euros and also gives you access to the museum.

Beautifully maintained Temple of the Goddess Aphaia, a mysterious figure local to Aegina and sometimes Crete. Pausanias (2nd c. CE) records that the Aeginetans called Britomartis “Aphaia. The Temple is really well-preserved and maintained. Admission is 10 Euro. Go early in the morning to avoid the buses and crowds. Taxis do go up here.

I like to call this island pistachio island. Everywhere you go including the beautiful temple of Aphaia are pistachios. Beautiful views and I would love to go here in the evening to take in the view of Athens. Amazing views.

A must-see if you’re visiting Aegina! The Temple of Aphaia is beautifully preserved and stands on a hill with an absolutely stunning view over the sea and even the mainland on a clear day. It’s quiet, peaceful, and feels very authentic compared to the crowded sites in Athens. Totally worth the 20-minute ride from the main port — it gives a real sense of ancient Greece. And after your visit, don’t miss grabbing a pistachio ice cream from the little shop right next to the site — Aegina’s specialty and the perfect way to end the visit!

It was okay. Maybe a lot better if we didn't walk a mile straight up to get there. Ruins with a small tourist store. Interesting information tables throughout. Lots of cats roaming around begging for food. Cost $10 euros to explore site. Very nice view from the top. Several tour busses were visiting at the same time as we were there.

It wasn’t that easy to get here - the ferry and then the taxi. But it’s worth it because of its more than 2.5K history and no need to jostle with other tourists. We got all the photos we wanted. The cats were very friendly once they knew we had cat food

It is a beautiful ancient temple well preserved. I don't know about the entrance cost because EU citizens under 25 have free entrance upon showing their ID. Highly recommend

I think this is the best beach in Poros island. Trees provide shade and environment up to where the water starts. It is organised and you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds. Food and drinks are also available with prices the same like elsewhere. If you wish a good spot it is advisable to go as early as 10 o'clock in the morning.

Extremely disappointing experience. The staff was shockingly rude, the worst treatment we've received in 15 years of visiting beaches in Greece. Poor service, zero hospitality. Definitely not the Greek welcome we’re used to. Would not recommend.

The bay is absolutely gorgeous - crazy clear green waters, lots of fish to observe. This is unfortunately shadowed by poor customer service from there staff and over inflated prices for sunbeds. The staff is eager for money that they invoke some non-existing law that they cannot keep your already paid sunbed for more than 30 minutes. The worst customer experience ever in Greece.

Nice water, nice beach, but the services leave a lot to be desired. In the pure Greek commercial spirit, you pay 20 euros for a lounger, but if you leave more than 30 minutes because you don't want to eat extra lunch from them, you've lost your seats. And that wouldn't even be the problem, but the fact that this "rule" is not posted anywhere or communicated in advance...just Greece ;)

It is a petite cute beach that is excellent for quiet relaxing time. The bay is surrounded by deep vegetation which ensured its privacy. That is how the name came. It is very popular with couples or even people who prefers quiet calm environment. The water is sea green, clear. The sand is a little red to brown but sandy. The bay water is also calm enough, making it a perfect place for holidays and romantic outings. A narrow road surrounds the bay, but there is not much traffic in it. The bay has shower and drinking facilities.

Nice little beach with catch name. The waters look nice from above, but when you get in, you'll realize they are pretty muddy. OK for 1 time but it wouldn't be my favorite beach. The beach bar offer some sunbeds but at full season it's very very crowded.

It was my long walk on New Year's day, came all the way from the port that's downtown Poros & it was absolutely stunning! No wonder it's crowded in the summer, there were others enjoing a little picnic on the same day, such a quiet lovely place with crystal clear waters, looking forward to visiting again in the summer!
