Cable car looks good, and takes you to a high place. Personally it was too pricey for me to go on the cable car on a cloudy day. I might pay this amount of money on a sunny day without clouds. The toilets below the cable car are clean.

Freeride paradise? no just Freedom! The resort is hold by local mountain guides and give you huge playground for freeriders. You must respect the mountain because the danger is not far. You have daily a report from the mountain guides at the botom of the lift. They will give you all informations you need to enjoy your journey. Respect their job, respect the mountain and respect the other nature lovers. This place is unique!

Great cable car service to take you to the top of meije. Staff was fun and helpful, and the lines were short (it was the start of summer when we visited so that may be a factor) all of the cabins were clean and comfortable

Breathtaking views. The climb is impressive and not so busy when we were there (even for summer). Nevertheless, 31€/p (even for a 30min. ascension) seems a bit pricy… Staff was friendly and I recommend this activity for your trip in the French alps.

What a beautiful scenery up at 3300 meters. It took some time with the cable car to get up, but it's worth going. If you don't like cable cars, just don't go. At least 8 times a stop when people go in and out the cable car and meanwhile you're hanging in the sky high above the ground.

Very pleasant cable car tour up to 2400 meter and then to 3200m. Great views. Nice ice cave. We walked back from 3200m to 2400m station in 2.5 hours.

If you've ridden from St Michel de Maurienne you know. What can I say about this iconic cycle climb it's rock hard but boy the views are well worth the pain.

Breathtaking landscape and view! We drove up the Col du Galibier, which was kinda scary at some point bc the street is incredibly narrow. As we drove up the mountain you would see many bikers struggling to get up this mountain, they of course made it! We stopped the care midway and hiked the remainder of the mountain. As we got on top we probably took about 30 min to take in this view. It was an incredible journey and totally worth it!!

Ride up here with your bicycle! Stunning views on the top as a reward. Additionally, a spectacular descent on mostly very good roads.

As a cyclist this is one of the highlights of my trip to France. It's a bloody hard climb, but so rewarding at the top for the views. I rode it in October, at the top it said 1c of my Wahoo so it made the descent quite cold.

Southern part of the French Alps (Graic Alps). Dream Pass for a biking challenge. 43 kilometers, over 2,000 meters of altitude difference and 2,642 at the highest point. Snow stays there all year round, the air is crisp that you want to climb up and you need only good weather to admire the three thousand meters around (Grand Galibier, Pic des Trois Eveches, Arves massif). The mountain pass is the highest point of the Tour de France .

Amazing ski destination – whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it here! From easy, chill slopes to wild, uneven runs. The views of the surrounding mountains are absolutely stunning, and the snow conditions are excellent. I did miss having more trees around, as the landscape is very open and a bit desolate – though some people might actually prefer that. If you’re into partying, the town has some great spots – especially if you’re Danish! Just head to Café Snesko – you’re going to love it.

A very good ski resort. From beginners to advanced skiers, you can find good trails that will suit you. Also a very nice apres ski. Lots of hotels offers ski-in ski-out. Val thorens offers ski options when other ski resorts are already closed for the season.

Val Thorens has a great vibe, there are lots of amazing hotels and bars/restaurants. Shopping is easy with lots of convenience stores and also lots of specialist winter sports stores for all your skiing and snowboarding needs; though be prepared to pay a small (5-10% in my experience) resort premium on purchases here versus high street prices. Internet shopping is clearly the best option before arriving to make sure you get the best prices on equipment. Aside from the great bars and eateries, Val Thorens also has one or two slopes that you can ski and board on. Being a part of 3 Valleys it's a part of the largest ski resort in the world with hundreds of kilometers of groomed slopes. I love the ease of navigating around the resort using the many many lifts. There are runs for all levels, though if you're a complete beginner you may lack variety as there are relatively few green runs compared to other resorts. That being said, there are plenty of blues that are very manageable for beginners. Being at altitude I've found the snow quality and quantity to be better than other resorts in the area, including the 3 Valleys resorts of Courchevel and Meribel. Being lower they can often suffer with either slushy or icy conditions much more so that Val Thorens seems to. Final observation is that Val Thorens is an all ages resort. It doesn't matter if you're a family, young, old, or anywhere in between, Val Thorens has something for everyone, and all coexist peacefully.

Val Thorens – Where the mountains are majestic and the buildings… aren’t Let’s be honest: Val Thorens is like dating someone with a stunning personality and a questionable wardrobe. The mountains? Absolutely breathtaking. Snow-draped peaks, endless ski runs, and views that make you forget your Wi-Fi password. Nature here is working overtime. And then… there’s the village. The buildings? Imagine 1970s concrete met a ski resort brochure and said, “Let’s do brutalism, but make it beige.” It’s like someone tried to stack shoeboxes in a snowstorm and called it urban planning. Charming? Not exactly. Functional? Sure. Photogenic? Only if you crop aggressively. But hey – you’re not here for the architecture. You’re here to ski, après-ski, and maybe pretend you’re in a Bond film while sipping overpriced vin chaud. And for that, Val Thorens delivers. Just don’t look too hard at the hotel façade on your way down the slope.

Great skiing area. Really enjoyed it. Not pretty in the villages but well makes up for that with the slopes.

At 2350m, snow is not yet an issue. The station is geared towards skiing and cater mainly to an international clientele. British and Dutch mainly. It has the trappings of a small French town with fresh breads, some cafes for drinks and meals but remains a very touristic area. Perfect for skiing. Going to the piste is relatively easy.

The best ski school and instructors, I arrived as a really nervous absolute beginner and Milan taught me the essentials along with building my confidence. He adapted the lessons as I was progressing and was extremely patient. I can’t rate highly enough. I even booked more lessons throughout the week and I enjoyed them so much. Thanks Milan.

Very grateful for the service by max and Jeremy. Bought a pair of boots here, was thoroughly impressed by the level of detail that was put into getting a pair that I felt were the right fit for me. After a few days of skiing I had to get the boots readjusted and everything was perfect. They helped me massively with tips to get the boots on properly and how to solve the problems I faced. Thank you very much - they were amazing.

Highly recommend using Prosneige for lessons. We had 6 snowboarding lessons with Charly and absolutely loved them! He provided really clear instructions, tips and demos for beginners and made lessons fun and varied, too. He kept the motivation up when I was struggling which was really important for me! Was disappointed with the ski club for my 3 y/o son. I can't complain for the quality of ski lessons. It was more or less ok. But we signed him in for the whole week - full 6 days. They skied 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. Rest of the time they mostly spent in this tiny room with one set of lego and couple of other toys. Toilet - adult size only. It's fine for couple of hours ski lesson, but not for the whole week. At the end of the ski course, everyone was suppose to get a medal. I was passing ESF at the time of the medal ceremony - the photographer, medals and ski book for each child. When I came to pick up my son, I expected the same. Most of the people were gone, we had to ask for the medal (which is a big deal for my LO) and the ski book. Disappointing experience. Will choose club Piou Piou next time again.

The ski resort is very large and you can have fun regardless of your skiing level. There are also many hiking trails that allow for wonderful snowshoe hikes. The natural surroundings and views are fantastic.

Arguably one of the ugliest ski resorts in the French alps, however, this is in stark contrast to the excellent ski area, fast lifts and varied terrain. If you are an avid skier or snowboarder this is one of if not the best resort in the alps to visit.

This was my first time skiing in the Alps. I highly recommend this resort to all skiers ⛷️ and snowboarders. You will love the slopes, people, and food.

Amazing ski resort! Several ski slopes and many possibilities for other activities. The bobsleigh descent is unforgettable.

Beautiful well designed apartments for skiers and walkers (depending on the season). Beautiful views of the mountains and lifts (depending on which side you're on I suppose). The apartments are compact but with 2 twin bedrooms, 2 bunks and a double sofa bed, with ease you could fit 8 people in ours. Galley style kitchen is best suited to one person cooking at a time so pre-plan to share the cooking duties if possible. Good extractor fan and each apartment is well appointed with plates and cutlery for 16 (2 meals a day) and a dishwasher as well as breakfast bowls and a host of utensils. We were only short a grater and a potato masher (apparently not French essentials). There a multiple lifts to various parts of the buildings as well as a lot of basement bootrooms/lockers to store your boots and skis and keep your apartment dry. The complex has a code entry to the pool, when you want access - daytime only (closes at 7) and no access on Saturday (change over day) with a new code each week. A 5 minute walk to the local Spar shop makes this a very convenient location with a Restaurant next door to the Spar as well as one opposite the entrance to Lagranges. The Ski and board hire shop is spitting distant from the complex check-in with convenient ski racks located around to stash your skis whilst you buy passes or snacks. The ski-pass system is very flexible at the resort with options for beginners being circa €35 a day, half day options, full resort passes, multi-resort passes and a pedestrian access pass to access the top of glacier via bubble lift for only €8! Superb. The resort is at 1800m so well above the snowline with easy access up to 3000m for fresher snow more often. Snowed again just as we left so if you're looking right now it's perfect for a last minute get away (9/01/23) enjoy! Back again for New Year 2024 - snowed every day so far and the trails are well groomed. Swimming Pool has been renovated as well as the wooden features across the resort.

Great ski resort especially if your using a motorhome parked right next to the main run back to La Plagne. Electric at the end of every row (which didnt trip once) and water is located at a hut at the entrance of site (short slippery walk). The while of thus network is mostly made up of about 70% blues 25% Reds and 5%blacks although many of the blues are more red like. Some great places to eat around the area but it is pricey.. €9-11 a pint !!! Food is around normally UK prices. The roads leading up the mountain to Villages was always mint ( the French know how todo it) the only time we had to put chains on was at the start of the aire as its not as well maintained as the main roads. I'd defo go back to this site and la plagne.

Stupendous views and great runs -a red and a black. Black particularly good. Great snow quality but the red can get busy just at the top. Picnic tables, viewing platforms, interesting information boards about the National Park, its plants and animals. Two Yuge cameras (link your lift pass to the Yuge app and on scanning the pass you can have your photo taken, which then can be seen and shared from the app). Our firm favourite in Les Arcs and highly recommended.

Amazing place. On a good day you will have a 360 degrees view of the Alps till your eyes can see. The red slope going down from the top has one or two steep parts but nothing that a half-decent red slope skier cannot handle. Just don't look over the edges on the sides if you are quite scared of heigths.

Just magical. This view you can only find in few places in the world!

Very high up, impressively high and an amazing engineering accomplishment. Visited in April and it was a chilly 3°C. Skiing down the Glacier du Varet was very pleasant and the snow was good even unlike the slush further down in the valley. Great views, especially on Mont Blanc. Although it was very pleasant up top, there are no toilets at the top, it is frequently closed in winter due to strong winds and there are long queues very often onto the cable car that takes one up. Would recommend, but come prepared for no café or toilet.

A truly exhilarating experience. Martin (ML), was our instructor and he could not have been more reassuring to those on the boat with less confidence and who were a bit apprehensive. He was highly knowledgeable of the water and made us all feel safe. On the rapid sections Martin used clear and concise commands which were easy to follow and on the calmer sections we enjoyed Martin’s local knowledge of the river ecosystem and history of the area. 5 stars all-round and highly recommend.

Such a great day!! Super easy to get to. Supplied everything we needed, boots, wetsuit and top with plenty of sizes. The guide Thibaut was wonderful speaking in English and French all whilst steering the raft. We did the “active” experience which involved some decent drops and splashes along the way.

Brilliant rafting down Les Gorge. Instructor Alexandre was absolutely excellent and made it incredible fun. We rafted down rapids, jumped off ledges and had some time floating down the river too. An excellent morning!

We spent half a day white water rafting with Evo2 in Landry a week ago and had an amazing experience. Very professional set-up and great instructors. ML was excellent and gave us full confidence and special mention to our instructor Myrtille who was brilliant, positive and fun. Myself and my 3 children (aged 10, 12, 14) had the best experience (including the cliff jumps!) and could not fault it. It was our highlight activity from a fun-packed week in Tignes. Thank you to all the staff. Would highly recommend.

This would have been beautiful in the right weather. It was just our luck that we arrived in the height of Summer, at the end of a heatwave and were met with heavy rain and thunderstorms o the water didn't have its famous greenish-blue hue. It is a lovely natural beauty surrounded by mountains.

I was just remembering how much we loved it there last year. My son and I rented bikes and went all around the lake. We also got a pedal boat and took a swim. Saw some young people doing a rope swing jump and did that too. Fabulous.

I took a day trip from Lyon, a great place, I'm sorry I only stayed one day, it's definitely worth 2-3 days! A place not to be missed if you're in the area!

It is a MUST to go, partying, water scakating, swimming and lots of boat cruises around the great lake surrounded by magnificent mountains. 30 min away and your up amongst snowy mountains as early as September.

Rafting was challenging and enjoyable. Professional Guide.

The location and pools were great. Most pools had luke warm water with the exception of the pool at the top, which was hot. The dry sauna was hot and delightful. The inside water rooms were fun. My problem was with the staff. The young lady with brown hair and glasses who was in charge of seating for the aperitif on August 1 at 1900 was very rude. She came to our table and instead of making polite conversation with us, she told us story after story about how our home country was full of stupid people, we don't know geography, our food is bad, and we all go around waving guns. Although she has never been to our home country, she was sure to tell us everything wrong with it. It was uncomfortable and insulting.

Amazing experience! From the very beginning staff were nice and helpful, the service was great throughout. The location is absolutely perfect - you swim in the hot water underneath the snowy Mont Blanc. The views and scenery is gorgeous. The place’s facilities are great, the have plenty of hot baths (covered and outside) so it is never too crowded, and they have saunas, relaxing area, massages and lunch. The food at lunch was excellent as well. You receive everything you need - a towel, slippers and a robe, and even a change of robe if you have lunch. The shower area is very well equipped and well designed. Absolutely recommended!

Not the best experience at this spa, we went there at 6, and given a happy hour at 6:45. Which we completely missed because there is only a single clock hidden in one of the buildings. Also we where not told that there are no food options on the premises, so we went hungry for our time there. Many people brought their phones in to take pictures, videos and face time, this made us uncomfortable. I would not recommend people going to this spa for a relaxing time, the view is wonderful, but you don't need to be in this spa to see it. Also there where no employee's to speak to about issues.

The facilities are great. The Lady with classes working in the Bistro was very rude. We were not informed that the Bistro was only available up until a certain time. We missed the slot and were Rudely expelled

Absolutely stunning spa getaway in the mountains. Went here while on a rest day in Coumayeur hiking along the Tour du Mont Blanc, and it was the highlight of my rest. Felt refreshed to get back on the trail the next day.

The views are beautiful. However, Was extremely disappointed here. (Only used spa and had lunch and aperitif) Have been to various QC TERME and this has to be the worst for service. The hospitality staff were rude and I wont go back to this particular qc. That being said every other QC has everything.

The terme was nice and relaxing, but there were no signs to help people find their way, especially to the upstairs rooms. First-timers might miss the stairs. Better guidance is needed, and people with lone hair should be asked to tie their hair more properly.

Took this trip to explore more of the Mont Blanc range and wasn't disappointed. Incredible journey up the side of the mountains, sharing the trip with mountaineers who were off to the summit. Good choice of walks from the top - clothing for cooler weather & good footwear essential.

With the best views, grass that turns u to snow, and trees that turn into massive cliffs. Aguille du midi is a must for everyone. Incredible view . The beauty is breathtaking. You can see the highest peak in Europe from afar. Many people paragliding here. It is a must-visit place in life.

The cable bus from the Chamonix city with a change over in between takes you to the peak of Aiguille du Midi. This peak is exactly in the border of France and Italy. A 20 minutes journey of ten each takes you to the peak. To see the mont blanc, you have to take a pass like temporary visa to the italian side and from the peak to which a lift is taking you, you can see the mont blanc. There is also a glass cage with dead drop bottom. The view from the top is magnificient. It takes you to the view of entire iced surroundings. The mont blanc is the highest peak of Alps. More famous for limited edition pen. They are allowing a total of 2 and half hours to see and come back. On a sunny day, the views are beautiful. The climate is sometimes minus in the peak

Amazing experience. They give you a paper to indicate you have a time to get off the mountain to avoid rushes. Even though it was for 1.5 hours as the recommended time, we spent close to 4 hours (with about 1.5 hours for queuing for the glass dome alone). This was an unforgettable experience and highly recommended.

This was great, fantastic views, really enjoyed the trip. We bought a 4 day advance ticket from tourist office for all local ski lifts for best value. We also walked on the path to the next ski lift La Paz, a medium challenging walk also with amazing views.

Highly recommended if hiking is main objective. We went upto Planplaz and then hiked to and from La Flegere. It too about 4 and half hours. Could take shorter or longer depending on fitness. One can go up and then take the stairs lift down to Le Praz or vice versa. Hiking or taking the cable car to Brevent is also an option.

Amazing experience we had to book the time slot to visit Mt Brevent the cable car was something else amazing engineering skills and design to carry people up to areas that are totally unreachable to most. Best Day for a long time

Great view. It is worthy to jump off and hike from the top lift Brevent to the middle lift. It takes around 1 hour to hike including the picture time and coffee break.

If you have multipass, you can use this cable lift for free...You have to change lift in half of your way up to top, where is restaurant with breathtaking view to Mont Blanc and nearby mountains...Above restaurant is another place with 360 degree breathtaking views...

Google map info about the cable car stations around Chamonix sometimes could be confusing. This is the station to Le Brevent. Not very crowded during UTMB period in late August. I bought a Multi pass and rode immediately.

We’ve never had much luck with the Aiguille du Midi, either poor weather with no visibility or fully booked on the clear days. This lift proved to be an excellent alternative, with breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc range. From the summit, you don’t just get the Mont Blanc panorama but also, on a clear day you can see all the way to the Chartreuse near Grenoble and Chambéry. It’s not as high as the Aiguille du Midi (only 2525m), but it’s still a fantastic experience and well worth the trip. There are auberges at both stops for food or drinks, and watching the paragliders take off adds to the atmosphere.

Impressive cathedral in the old town area with lots of period buildings around it. On a bit of a raised area but an easy walk up. Quiet, peaceful, can sit for as long as one likes. Free to enter, as it should be, but is not in some places. Different parts obviously built/added/repaired/rebuilt at different times, which is always interesting. Well worth a visit.

Undoubtedly, this is a majestic cathedral in the heart of Geneva, with stunning Gothic architecture and a historic stone façade. The church is very well preserved, and from its current state, you can almost imagine the grandeur it must have had 1,000 years ago. Visiting St. Pierre Cathedral in Geneva was truly memorable. One of the highlights for me was climbing the 160 steps to the top of the tower. The stairwell is narrow and may be a little intimidating for some, but the effort is completely worth it. Once at the top, you’re rewarded with stunning panoramic views of Geneva and the surrounding area—perfect for photography enthusiasts. The cathedral also has a small shop where you can browse a selection of cards and postcards as a memento of your visit. Inside and out, the cathedral offers plenty of opportunities for taking beautiful photos, from its impressive architecture to the breathtaking vistas from the tower. Despite the slightly nerve-wracking climb, it’s an experience I’d highly recommend.

This cathedral is a highlight located in the center of Geneva's old town. The top offers a great view over the city and the lake. I recommend combining a visit with a walk to the beautiful nearby square "Place-Du-Bourg-de-Four" (my favourite place in old town). Take a break there for a snack and a drink. Enjoy!

I always try to visit at least one church during my travels, though sometimes it doesn’t work out. I’m so glad I made it to this cathedral—it was actually one of the reasons I wanted to visit Geneva in the first place. I’d heard about the 157-step spiral staircase, and let’s just say I realized how out of shape I was while climbing it! But I made it, and it was absolutely worth it. Such a beautiful piece of history to experience. The fee to go up is currently at 7chp.

Excellent 360° views of the city, lake & mountains. The stairs were in a very good condition compared to other church towers in Europe. The entrance price was included in our tourist city pass so it's a very much worthwhile visit.

Visiting L’Horloge Fleurie in Geneva was a wonderful experience! The flower clock is truly a masterpiece of art and nature combined. The design is beautiful, colorful, and always perfectly maintained. It’s located in a lovely park near the lake, making it a great spot for a relaxing walk or taking amazing photos. The flowers change with the seasons, so it always looks different and fresh every time you visit. It’s one of the most iconic landmarks in Geneva and a must-see for anyone visiting the city. This is one of the nice places you can visit and have your photo captured, having a beautiful memory that you've been to Geneva. I would recommend the sunset, where you can take a ride in the wheel to have glance at the beautiful view of seeing over the water and the city with pretty greenery. Feels like a illustration be Angelo himself. During the night the flower clock is well lit up and captures well, and a beautiful park being next to it, you can relax and enjoy the surrounding altogether as well. Very beautiful and calm place al together. (Don't forget to have glance at the memorial statues in vicinity as well)

It is one of the most beautiful places in Geneva, with sunshine, the lake, possibly the tallest fountain in Central Europe, ferries, statues, and a Ferris wheel — it has everything, simply perfect.

I have seen many creative floral installations before, including floral sculptures and other well-known flower clocks. However, when I finally visited Geneva’s famous L’Horloge Fleurie (Flower Clock), I experienced a slight sense of disappointment - not because it lacks beauty, but rather because its reputation is so grand that it naturally raises expectations. To be fair, the clock’s design is intricate, and the vibrant flowers give it a sense of energy and elegance. Yet in reality, it is smaller in scale than I had imagined, which may feel a little underwhelming if one visits only for this landmark. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, there were only a few tourists around, which made the experience calm but also highlighted how modest the Flower Clock actually is. That said, if you see it as part of a leisurely walk along Lake Geneva, passing by after a meal or while enjoying the lakeside scenery, it can still be a pleasant and relaxing stop.

Staff were really friendly and accommodating despite a language barrier. I was even given a free salad! Food was some of the best me and my friends have ever had and is well priced. The restaurant atmosphere was incredible as well. We all agreed we would absolutely eat here again 👍

I am travelling for work. Great food and even better people. Seems like a family owned business. I had the pugliese pizza and was amazing. But hey!! Be careful with the spicy oil they offer 🥵very hot

The food was delicious and the waiters really helpful to translate to English for us. They even had a English menu. The place was warm and the pizza oven in the heart of the restaurant. It felt like an authentic Italian family business.

I went on a tour! I thought it was okej, the tour in it self was not that special it was rather being there that was cool. (My gf really liked it tho she thought the tour guide was so good). Con- we where on time but the tour was not which meant we had to wait in the heat when we was there on time. Also i wish the tourguie would say when we can take photos cause sometimes it was lite unclear especially when i see other pepole have taken photos that i wish i could have. But overall it was really good and i am happy we went and I would recommend other to book to. The absolut best was the guy in the stamps both, i was really kind and made it realy memorable for us!

I visited the UN headquarters in Geneva and really enjoyed the group tour. Walking through the big halls, especially the Assembly Hall and Human Rights Council Chamber, was fascinating. It felt special to stand in the rooms where so many important discussions actually happen.

Unfortunately we couldn’t get in. They said only booked tickets could get in. But there is no availability for over a year. There might be something wrong with buying tickets online. Even though, from outside the building looks great. Should go for a walk around even without tickets.

How stupid can they be? Imagine you have a beautiful art deco building, but then you build such an ugly fence that it can hardly be seen anymore. Could that be a typical result of an overrated, overfunded overpaid underbrained stuffy organisation? We had booked a tour a few months before and the process of getting the security passes was terrible. We just got inside one of the ugly 1960s buildings (and the ceiling decorations were nice) and we could at least see the nice historic art deco building from the back. There are renovations going on, but It sure would have been possible to guide us through a few rooms of this immense building, but the bureaucracy wouldn’t care for visitors. High on security, low on everything else.

How does someone rate one of the most important places on the planet. Our guide was incredibly well versed with all goings-on at the UN and spoke more languages than all five of us combined. Be prepared with any questions as your guide will be more than capable of answering them. Book the private tour for an even better experience. Be sure to enter at the Pregny Gate.

Beautiful building! Even from the outside, the Palais des Nations is worth a stop, especially to see the famous Broken Chair nearby and the line of flags!

The UN was the top of my sons list when we booked our trip to Geneva, so we just had to get tickets to get inside! You have to book a tour to get inside the gates, we booked online roughly 3 weeks before, but it tells you to do it as soon as you can as it books up fast! You get a guided 1hour tour which is OK, but it's honestly worth booking just to get inside the gates, so many brilliant photo opportunities! The buildings and gardens are beautiful! My son was so happy getting his picture with the flags! Our tour guide was lovely, I can't remember his name! He really did try to squeeze as much in as possible in the short time! It's worth it as the tickets are quite cheap!

Great museum with beautiful grounds and park. We visited the museum for the special exhibit, from Renoir to Van Gogh. The exhibit was very interesting with many unique paintings. The regular exhibits of antique cars was very educational. The collection of photos of Giannadda definitely worth visiting.

The Tintin exhibition was incredible! The cars were a welcome surprise The employees are very friendly and a student ticket only costs 12 chf. Lovely museum shop. The coffee shop was gorgeoooouuus though I didnt have time for it

Unique venue, worth a visit. The TinTin collection was interesting. The vintage car collection was ok. Temporary exhibit of Armand Hammer collection probably presented not the best works of Vincent Van Gogh.

It is a luxurious collection of old cars and paintings. Unfortunately, all of the exhibitions and annotations are only in French.

Very nice museum, small but cute. There is an exhibition that changes time to time, and two areas dedicated to the main characters of the museum. There is also one area with the cars of the beginning of 20th century. There are 2 cafeterias, one indoor, very cute (like a step back in time), and one outside in the garden, where it is really pleasant to sit and enjoy the park and the weather. The park is also interesting, with pieces of art of various artists placed here and there. Suggested.

The museum is not big, but has such an eclectic variety of collections that's its a very entertaining way to pass an hour - no matter what you're interested in. There's a potted collection of roman artifacts, early cars, contemporary sculpture and decorative arts. The Cafe in the sculpture garden is a great place for a leisurely aperitif or on a sunny day. The history of Roman Martigny is well explained in French and German, but most other signage is in French only.

I took a friend there to see the vintage car collection and we were happy with the visit except for the very rude staff member called Martine. I was telling my friend about how Anker used red in most of his paintings as told during my previous guided tour. Martine then said very loudly about me being too close to the painting which is impossible because of the barrier. They can easily get their surveillance cameras to see that I was no where near paintings. She then said very loudly in French to another customer that 'some people don't understand anything ' in French, referring to me. Now that I can no longer find my previous review also about her rudeness, I guess she remembers me. My friend's first thought was her being racist, but I sincerely hope not. It was such a shame that how a rude staff member can totally spoil an almost perfect experience. Honestly, she should not be working there.

Booked our 3yr old toddler in a few months back. Great communication from Ellie in the team all the way through to before just first lesson. So many questions for us that they happily answered. He then met Francois. Despite a few tears at the start he was quickly off exploring and boarding. Beaming from ear to ear at the drop off. For the next few days, everyone in Mint uniform has became a best friend to him, waving when he points them out to us. He has had a great time boarding and learning new things as well as having adventures on the chair lifts. He wants to come back for more lessons with Francois and next year I will have a few with Mint as well.

Technical Performance Course with MINT Snowboarding My boys (now 13 and 15) have been having lessons with MINT most seasons since they were just 4 and 6 years old, so we’ve known and trusted this incredible team for years. This season, I joined my 15 year old on the Technical Performance course and it turned out to be one of the best snowboarding experiences we’ve ever had. I’m an experienced boarder, but I had never ventured in the snow park. I really wanted to push my riding to the next level, and this course delivered exactly that. The coaching was technical, focused, and perfectly tailored to each rider. We covered everything from carving and torsional flex to steeper terrain, off-piste control, and freestyle, with helpful video feedback throughout the week. We were lucky to have two brilliant instructors Jorge and Janet who each brought their own unique style to the course. Jorge’s energy and technical insight were inspiring, while Janet’s calm, precise coaching helped us really lock in key improvements. It was great to experience both their teaching styles they complemented each other so well. Safe to say, my son was exceptional when it came to freestyle he was flying through the park, and learning alongside him really pushed me too. We spent half our mornings in the snow park, starting on the small jumps, part way through the 1st session my son moved onto the medium size jumps and by second day so was. Part way through the week we were confidently hitting and landing the middle-sized ones all day long. I didn’t expect to enjoy the park as much as I did, but I absolutely loved it. MINT really is the premier snowboard school in Europe, they’ve built an incredible reputation for a reason. From age 3 to adult, their coaching system and team of instructors are second to none. I wouldn’t recommend any other snowboard school. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to fine-tune advanced skills, MINT is simply the best. Huge thanks again to the whole team. we’ll definitely be back.

We decided we wanted to take the twins (6yrs) for their first trip to the mountains this winter, and learn to snowboard. We researched all the schools in Europe and time and time again we were drawn back to Mint. The reviews were phenomenal and the vibe we felt from their social was exactly what we wanted. We came to Avoriaz for Mint, and wow, it was the best decision we made. Francois their instructor was incredible, they both loved him, and he knew exactly how to get the best out of their very different personalities. We genuinely couldn’t have found a better fit, and could not believe the improvements seen in just 3 lessons! We will be making Mint and Francois a firm feature in our annual calendar! Thank you Francois and Mint for making their first time to the snow/mountains and epic one!

Massive thank you to Tammy and the rest of the Mint crew for such an awesome week on the slopes. I did the off piste course and we were lucky enough to be treated to a new adventure every day! Tammy provided lots of guidance and definitely feel I came away a better boarder. We had a great group so lots of fun was had!! Can’t wait for next season!

Such a fantastic week. I loved everything about it. Tammy’s coaching was excellent. She made use of every moment we had on the slopes and covered so much ground in one week. The technical skills we learned improved our riding in a variety of terrain and conditions. We had a blast in every lesson whether we were on the piste, gaining confidence in the park or riding powder. The chalet was really nice and the hosts were amazing. The yoga sessions with Katie were really good too. I feel so lucky to have been part of this camp. Everybody was so friendly, encouraging and fun to hang out with. I made some really good friends and look forward to snowboarding with them and Mint again soon!

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! The camps are amazing combined with Treeline. The instructor was really patient and gave me so much confidence on the slopes. DEFINITELY coming back next year 🏂🤩💫

Had a fabulous week with Iban, In a group of 3 ,we all said we learnt so much! Top Instructor and always a lovely smile. Definitely recommend and would use again.

This was only the second time we have been skiing, having gone in February 2024 but not to Morzine. Sadly today (3rd January 2025) was our last day skiing for this holiday. We have had daily lessons for the last week - 1 instructor for my wife and myself and one for our teenage girls - they are way better than us parents! Tom, was tasked with teaching us oldies and Kate the girls. To say they were great just doesn't seem sufficient. They both quickly understood our relative levels and what we needed and were brilliant at keeping the lessons fun and at the right level. By the end of the week the girls were off piste skiing and doing 360 spins and skiing backwards! My wife and I ... were not doing these things ... but we were able to ski around with total confidence (and if we do say so ourselves some ok technique!) and have just a lovely time on some beautiful runs. We will most definitely be coming back to Morzine and we will absolutely be booking again with British Alpine Ski School. All of the Bass employees seemed great but as we got to know Tom and Kate a little bit more we do have a particular soft spot for them. And finally a quick mention to Jo in their head office. She is so helpful with the booking process and made things so simple and made you feel like a real person. An absolute star. As you can tell I can't recommend BASS enough... even if I couldn't do 360 degree spins ... but maybe next time!

I can honestly say we had one of the best experience with BASS Les Gets that we have ever had with any company. It was our first time skiing with our young girls and from the support and advice during the booking process through to the AMAZING instructor we had we could not have wished for more! It made the trip so much more enjoyable for the whole family and I would 100% recommend them to anyone considering a ski school in France. Thank you and see you next year.

Both my individual and group lessons with BASS were excellent and I would highly recommend them. They keep their class sizes small and this meant that I got lots of very individualised feedback from highly experienced and expert instructors, even in a group lesson. The instructors tailored the lessons to meet the varied needs of everyone in the group and made sure everyone had an enjoyable time. This makes it well worth the slightly higher cost than other companies in Morzine because you develop much more quickly across a smaller number of lessons.

I recently had the pleasure of taking ski lessons in Les Gets with instructors Ed and Jaz, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. From the start, their energy, passion, and enthusiasm for skiing were absolutely contagious. Their love for the sport was evident, and it made the whole experience incredibly engaging and enjoyable. Having not skied for a very long time, I was initially quite nervous, but their positive attitude and encouraging approach made all the difference. They had a great way of boosting confidence, ensuring that every step of the lesson felt like progress rather than pressure. The teaching style is adaptable, adjusting to your needs and skill level, which made learning both effective and loads of fun. Beyond their excellent instruction, Ed and Jaz were punctual(unlike me), professional, and incredibly helpful. Their ability to break down techniques in an easy-to-understand way while keeping the atmosphere light and fun made every lesson a highlight of my trip. If you’re looking for ski instructors who bring skill, enthusiasm, and a genuinely supportive teaching style, Edward and Jaz are an outstanding choice. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Had a fantastic experience with BASS, the booking process with Jo was really smooth and a special thank you goes to Tom my instructor. I began the week barely able to turn on green runs without falling over and ended confidently skiing a red run, the tuition was brilliant throughout and he really took the time to understand my strengths and weaknesses and build up my confidence. Can't recommend them highly enough and I wouldn't hesitate to book again on my next visit to Morzine.

BASS is the bomb. I only ever skied once in my life before (which was not a great experience) and within four days of adult group lessons I was comfortable going down blue pistes !!! The groups are small and the instructors communicated with one another to make sure that everyone was comfortable at their levels. My instructor Tom Watts was amazing: patient, kind and knew well when it was time to take it to the next level. Group lessons can be frustrating when different levels and learners are put together, but this school has a fantastic system to cater to everyone's needs and learning goals. Super experience !!!!!

We have been using Bass for a few years now for our girls; now 6 and 7. Hands down the best ski school for children (we have also tried others). Instructors are kind, credible and deliver great coaching. Our children always enjoy the experience. In Val both Luke and Dave have been exceptionally good.

This is the tourism office where you can request for any information and help that you need. Yvoire is a lovely place and was really a super fun and well spent day. I will highly recommend a visit here. Very beautiful with the cobblestone roads, stone and wood houses with beautiful flowers everywhere. Totally fantastic, a place out of a medieval fairytale!

Beautiful Yvoire, a must see village in France

A city of medieval where wood, stone and flowers meet. You can be lost in the history while you wander in its tiny historical streets. I would like to take pictures of its every single building, gardens and roads. I liked it too much. I highly recommend you to visit this beautiful place.

Yvoire is one of the most beautiful place I've seen around the Leman Lake. The car-free zone is wonderful, with lots of historical buildings.

Our visit to Yvoire was magical but the garden was the cherry on the top! We love botanical gardens and have visited many but this one is now our favourite. We asked one of the garderners a question. How old the apple trees were. He explained so much to us, were very grateful for the time he took to do this. Love the concept, layout and how it naturally flows to create a wonderful experience.

jardin des cinq sens is a very nice place to visit. There is a lot to learn about plant. The taste part of the visit is very interesting. I wish I can have some of the plants at home for cooking. Price is high but one can imagine the work to setup a garden like that.

Small, but very well maintained garden with different themes: touch, smell, taste, see and hear plants and fruits from all over the world! A beautiful experience!

Well taken care of, shaped as a guided labyrinth, interactive as you can touch, smell and taste some of the plants. Nevertheless quite small, and way too pricy (15 eur).

Even in cloudy weather and a bit of rain they were beautiful! You can do it solo, with friends or family and have an educational and fun time using all of the five senses. It took us about an hour to complete and we really took our time.

Lovely place and great atmosphere. All the restaurants are very pet friendly . The nature around its so beautiful. Can’t wait to come back

A beautiful little village/town. 1 day is enough but well worth a day trip

The funiculaire is a nice old-fashioned way to travel up the hill in Evian. The experience itself is maybe a 4-star one, but since the city has decided to make it free of charge I am giving it five 😁. During day time the ride is offered every 20 minutes. You can do a nice walk from upper most station, the gare Amont. Follow the the signs to the belvedère, which is about a 10 mins walk. From there you can descend back to the city center in about 20 minutes.

Superb historical funicular railway connecting upper Evian with the lake front and several stops in between. Incredibly, this train is free in both directions! Ideal for parking at the top and getting into the centre without worrying about parking or paying for it.

People in this town are generally very friendly, but the train operator of the funiculaire should not be employed in a profession that requires him to deal with other people. I moved my mouth mask to the side to take a drink and he started shouting at me. Very unprofessional.

Old tram, nothing to see on your way up. BUT its free. A bit disappointed there was no views to the lake close by the upper stop. Just a small cafe.

Well maintained castle, modestly furnished, with a collection of interesting frescoes and murals. Strategically built on a small island, it used both the Lake Geneva and a moat created between the island and the mainland for defense. Our group had arrived in the late afternoon just in time to enjoy free wine tasting of some local wines, then proceeded to explore the medieval halls and underground chambers. The view from some rooms onto the lake and the Alps is stunning. It is the most visited monument in Switzerland.

This lakeside Castle with breathtaking view was stunning, pictures didn't do it justice. Its magical setting made it one of Switzerland’s most enchanting landmarks. I fully enjoyed my visit, highly recommend.

Château de Chillon is actually really big to explore, especially with the guided map they provide you. I was so tired, a lot of exploring new rooms that never seem like it would end. If you didn’t know, this castle inspired Prince Eric’s in The Little Mermaid. You can hear tons of water sounds by the prison area. It was relative peaceful for me as there weren’t much crowds and kids, so sometimes I got to explore rooms alone.

Beautiful castle (Little Mermaid was inspired on it) with lots of history. I really recommend taking the audio guide which is super complete. It lets you wonder alone around the castle which is a magical experience. The castle is in great conservation, and the dungeons are particularly beautiful. Would recommend this visit if you’re around. You can buy tickets directly upon arrival, and the audio guide takes like 2h to complete

The best view I’ve had from any castle I’ve visited so far. The castle is beautifully preserved, with authentic medieval furnishings that clearly took great effort to maintain. It’s generously open to the public, with access to nearly every corner—even up the creaky wooden staircases, which add to the sense of stepping back in time. Free entry for Swiss pass holders. Two hours or longer is needed.

Fascinating experience. We spent several hours wandering through the castle. The careful preservation of this site allows an understanding of history, with excellent access to all areas both indoors and outdoors and detailed information boards throughout. It is also a lovely lakeside walk from Montreux (after ferry from Lausanne) and a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating is opposite. A truly wonderful morning.

Chillon Castle is a medieval island castle located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, near Montreux. It is the most visited historic monument in Switzerland. Come for their nice history and good lake views, indeed very photo worthy! After all it’s free with SWISS TRAVEL PASS.

We arrived from Milan Sept 6, 2025 just in time for the 3 days Freddie Mercury birthday celebration. I enjoyed the celebration right there in Lake Leman so happy to celebrate 🥳 his birthday and experience where he once stood. The museum dedicated to Queen is just 200 meters from his statue.

Enjoyed the walk around Lake Geneva, admiring the many statues, small or lifesize. The iconic one of Freddie Mercury was like icing on a cake. When in Rome...er, Montreux. Worth a visit for a photo or two if you've got the time. And there's a gelateria just a block away! Hang out on/near the lake right there at the coolest public bench circle ever made, then take a stroll along the lake - preferably near sunset.

As a lifetime fan of Freddie, I took a 4 hour detour, just to go and pay respect to the greatest singer and entertainer if all time. He has a beautiful spot with a great view of the lake. I'm sure he would have loved it.

The great representation of a Titan of music. A little hard to get a great photo as they were doing some construction around the area. At one point, he even had a do not cross tape wrapped around 1 foot as they made a fence to do some work on the viewing platform for the lake. I did manage to get one or two good shots. If you can get a picture of him from the side with the mountains and the lake on a nice day it is very breathtaking in a view. I’m sure he appreciated when he was in town to record music.

The Montreux promenade is absolutely stunning — a peaceful walkway along Lake Geneva lined with colorful flowers, palm trees, and sculptures. The views of the Alps across the lake are breathtaking, especially during sunset. There are plenty of benches, cafés, and ice cream spots along the way, making it perfect for families and couples alike. A relaxing and unforgettable experience — one of the most beautiful promenades in Switzerland

Doesn't matter what time of the day or what day of the year...if you are in Montreux, you just have to take a nice leisurely stroll along the lake. The place is always breathtakingly beautiful and it is peaceful despite being full of tourists and locals. There are many things to see along the promenade along with many restaurants and shops.

It's such a beautiful place to stroll down and enjoy the views of the lake. We weren't there during clear skies and it was still so so beautiful! The flowers were blooming and so many varieties, it was really a treat. Would recommend coming during Sunday, just a short train ride (not even an hour) from Geneva. Definitely a nice change from the shops and city life!

Loved the experience, and the Prestige section was a special treat. But they should give some thought to rearranging the layout a bit as you certainly can't use much of the deluxe chair features since you're totally constrained by the folks across from you in the four-Plex sections. Do yourself a favor and pick a seat from the single row sections - even if that means splitting up your party. Also, could really use some cupholders and places to stash your phones/cameras besides your lap or behind the front and back seats.

The GoldenPass Belle Époque ride was an absolute highlight of our trip. The vintage-style carriages, elegant interiors, and large windows created a charming and nostalgic atmosphere from the moment we boarded. The scenic journey was stunning throughout, offering beautiful views of lakes, mountains, and picturesque Swiss villages. Everything about the ride felt comfortable and memorable. If there’s one thing that could make the experience even better, it would be having a restaurant or dining carriage on board. Enjoying a proper meal while taking in the breathtaking scenery would elevate the journey to another level. Overall, a lovely and highly recommended experience for anyone travelling through Switzerland!

Really nice and smooth ride. The beauty of the sights you see really does feel like the time flies. I highly recommend reseving a seat, and even though all views are breathtaking, may be the right side of the train was of my preference. We traveled from Interlaken to Montreux, approximately 3,5 hours, and it felt like no other train ride before. Definitely a must.

I did the entire Golden Pass train journey from Interlaken ost to Montreaux. While the train with huge windows is great, the best panoramic views are only between Gstaad and Montreaux. This panoramic train is included in Swiss Travel Pass. Since I did my journey on a weekday during spring season in April, I did not reserve my seat and was able to get a very good seat. However, I strongly recommend seat booking if traveling during peak summer season.
