Kickapoo State Recreation Area

State park
Nature & Parks
Very night state park. Campground is very quiet. Nice roomy sites. Will be back soon. Did see some trash near fishing sites please take out what you carry in.
Dave B — Google review
I love this park and its beautiful setting! It has several ponds of assorted sizes. Most of those allow watercraft (Electric motors only) and are open to fishing. The first one you’ll likely notice has both a (limited) grill and a small boat (kayaks and paddle boats) rental. Scattered throughout this park there are also a number of fishing platforms and picnic shelters, many with views of one of the ponds. The shelters that aren’t alongside a pond are in very pleasant timbered locations. I visited on a Sunday and there was a large number of visitors, several with out of state license plates. Even with so many visitors, it wasn’t difficult to find an available shelter if that is what you were looking for.

This place is amazing! Great rugged hiking trails, cool lakes, and tons of mountain biking trails. Kayaks can be rented on the lake or river and float trips are also cool if the water level is high enough.
Kurt W — Google review
I love that most of their sites are shaded, roomy, & spaced out, giving you that forestry feeling when you're camping. And don't get me started on the wildlife... there are so many deer & turkey roaming throughout the park that you feel like you're one worth nature! They have 22 ponds to fish in & if fishing isn't your cup of tea, they have a rental place with canoes, kayaks, & tube's. It also offers River Adventures if you'd like to do a trip down the river. For those into hiking, you won't be disappointed with their numerous trails of different difficulty levels through their forestry. They do have firewood, ice, & a few souvenirs at the rental store, but for anything else, you will need to go into Danville as it's mostly a rental store. There is a beach for swimming there & a concession area. All in all, this park is high on my list of great DNR parks. They are quiet, loaded with great things to do while camping, allow you the space & freedom to enjoy your trip.
Annette J — Google review
I love kayaking here, on the river and on the lake. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. If you pay close attention you're likely to see eagles while out on the river. There are certain places that can get overcrowded in the summer, but I'm always able to find a peaceful and quiet spot when I need it. This is one of my favorite places to staycation. There are 2 single person restrooms attached to kickapoo adventures/bar&grill that are actual toliets. The other restrooms around that area are outhouses. There is plenty of parking, areas for picnics, fishing, etc.
Jessica N — Google review
Quiet campground, nice hosts, and I didn't get overtaken by mosquitoes or horse flies (I'm a magnet for both LoL), and I didn't even use repellent. Ticks and chiggers seem to like me as well, but I didn't have a problem with either. The firepits were cleaned out and ready to use. Also, no trash laying around, so policing my area before going home was a breeze. The only thing I would suggest improving were the bathrooms...not terrible, but could use some extra cleaning, and maybe a coat of paint to freshen things up. I would stay here again.

Great place to stop Huge parking lots Places are clean Great for kayak, paddleboarding, birdwatching, fishing, cycling And its free park

Kennekuk County Park

Park
Nature & Parks
I've been going to Kennekuk for years for family reunions. We've rented different buildings and a pavilion. It's a nice park. There were many pretty wild flowers when we visited today.
Patti G — Google review
Nice clean park with great staff. Lake Mingo is gorgeous to kayak on. Lake was overgrown with water lily making fishing somewhat difficult.
Dan W — Google review
I typically rate parks at 5 stars when I can, but this park seemed poorly managed. Garbage could be seen throughout my drive, and the sign postings were small and hard to read. I don't mind having to deal with bugs when adventuring out in the wild, BUT there were millions of GIANT horse flies here. I thought they were cicadas at first, that is how large they were. They were flying around my car and running into it during my entire drive through the park, so I didn't end up getting out of my car. It was disappointing. I don't know how they can fix this issue, but I don't think I could visit again without the fear of being attacked by these flies. It was like nothing I'd ever experienced before!
Danielle C — Google review
I want to preface that their is NO PLAYGROUND HERE! But that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It is such a beautiful and well kept park!

I have absolutely fallen in love with this park... my best friend and I went to Kennekuk County Park together to celebrate her birthday. We hiked on the trails some, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful, healthy trees, tons of birds and butterflies, frogs and toads hopping in and out of the marshes, and all of it was so peaceful! When we got to the river, we waded to a sandbar and found a variety of shells, and just relaxed listening to the river flow and the breeze through the trees. Life at home is busy busy busy with three sons that I homeschool, and not only was Kennekuk the perfect getaway for a day, I can’t wait to go back and take my kids for all of the incredible adventures we can have together, and because there’s a vast amount of science and history in this park with educational opportunities abounding! My boys are going to love, love, LOVE exploring and adventuring at Kennekuk

Sugar Valley Canoe Trip Ltd

Canoe & kayak rental service
Tours
Kayaking & Canoeing
I took my 13 and 11 year old sons on their first paddling experience this past Sunday and have zero complaints. Everything was easy from check in to departure.. The staff was friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. Sugar Creek water levels were down compared to past experiences, but if you have experience in paddling, you only have to drag the canoe or kayak a couple of times for a short distance if you read the water correctly. We did the 10 mile in 2:45 or 3 hours with a canoe and kayak. They do a good job of updating the river water levels on the Facebook page and we knew what we were getting into beforehand. Next time we'd opt for 3 kayaks or one double and single. I wasn't sure how the 11 year old would do solo, but he enjoyed both the canoe and kayak.. It's a good trip to learn the basics of paddling. Calm and lazy is what I'd describe it as. There's plenty of places all along the way to stop, eat, or drink. If you're taking little ones and wondering if they'll be able to make it on their own, bring a rope and tie off to them for the assist. The netting is missing from most of the kayaks, so if you bring a cooler rope or bungie cords would be useful as well. Thank you for a memorable day!
Eddie H — Google review
We had an amazing trip! it was beautiful out and water was just right. the bus driver was really friendly but be sure to be there right when she’s ready or you’ll have to end up standing ( which wasn’t a problem for us ) only giving 4 stars due to the minors that are working the drop off section not prepared when signing off on our sheets indicating we brought our kayaks back to the 3 mile mark. Did not have a pen, really were messing around when we were asking if we needed to load our kayaks or where to put our paddles to help out. otherwise! we love this place!
Brayden S — Google review
Very easy check-in process, helpful drivers and river staff. Affordable price. Very fun excursion on a clear river. We took 3-mile, will come back for longer ones.
Adam M — Google review
Our family and friends did their 3 mile tubing float. It was a great experience. The company does a nice job of moving people from their lot (which has restrooms) to the creek and back again. Everyone working there was nice. The float ride itself is perfect for almost everyone. Shallow waters make it possible to stand anytime you might need. You spend almost two hours floating quietly through nature. From the forest to the geologic formations, beauty is everywhere. We will definitely do this again!
Matt S — Google review
Nice float but you have to pull your canoe up a steep hill at the end of the 6 mile trip. Tough to do for two small women. Asked employee for help which he promptly declined.
Kimberly W — Google review
Trip lengths seem inaccurate, but other than that, no major complaints. Check-in process was seamless, and they definitely had enough staff working to get things done. I had a FitBit in and it showed 7 miles. He had a Garmin, and it showed 7.26 miles (after converting). It was supposed to be 10 miles... We appreciated the option of bringing our own kayaks/paddles/life jackets !
Hannah F — Google review
An absolute amazing experience. I was glad that I came across this outfit that changed my trip altogether. A pleasant river to row and go with the flow. Water is clear everywhere so it was neat to see many fishies throughout the row. A must if you’re in the area.

Turkey Run State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Park
Turkey Run State Park in Indiana is a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a serene escape. Spanning 2,482 acres, this park boasts an impressive array of hiking trails that meander through lush forests, dramatic rocky ravines, and picturesque streams. The park's unique geographical features include swinging bridges that add to the adventure of exploring its natural beauty. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as canyon hiking, horseback riding, creek boating, and camping amidst stunning landscapes.
My wife and I were in the area for an unrelated event and thought we would come check the park out since we’ve only heard great things. It did not disappoint!! We accidentally went on trail 3 and stuck with it. We had an amazing day and look forward to coming back again!! This is a beautiful area!
Andy C — Google review
Nice place with nearby activities. Trail #3 is recommended but not suitable for small children, some steep long ladders, steps and paths near cliffs. Bring plenty of water. After hiking the outdoor pool is a great place to cool down. Costs additional 3 dollars. מסלול 3 מעט מאתגר, לא לקטנים.
Naftali S — Google review
This is one of the best parks to visit and enjoy the trails there. Gorgeous scenery all seasons. The only thing I wish for is to have trails signs for the hiker to know where to go. I had to guess which one to turn to and the map isn't that clear either. I truly believe that parks do that on purpose and not add trails poles numbers (except for McCormick SP) so first time hikers there would get on different trails by accident and have them explore more. But, "the adventure mode" is not for everyone especially those who can't physically do Rugged trails.
RAFIK S — Google review
Loved, loved, LOVED going here. I camped in a tent for a week and it was super worth it, the tube ride was relaxing and a fun experience and the hiking trails were an all time favorite! It was so pretty and amazing sights! Sometimes you did have to climb a ladder or a really big bridge. So people afraid of heights beware.
Connor S — Google review
Loved it! I remember coming here as a child and it reminded me of so many days. Some of the trails do get a bit on the tougher side so be mindful of the maps notes. Loved trails 6, 4, and 3 the most as a hiker who prefers adventure to a more comfortable nature walk but there is plenty of that as well. Lots of dog walkers, sand bars, and things to do aside from hiking. Being only 90min from home it's a great way to spend a day!
Jesse C — Google review
f you're a nature lover looking for a peaceful getaway, Turkey Run State Park in Indiana is a must-visit destination. Nestled in the southwestern part of the state, this 2,482-acre park offers a one-of-a-kind experience for hikers, outdoor enthusiasts, and those seeking tranquility. Nature at Its Best What truly sets Turkey Run apart is its geographical diversity. The park features a variety of hiking trails that wind through dense forests, rocky ravines, swinging bridges, and scenic streams. The area's sandstone rock formations and dramatic cliffs add a magical, almost otherworldly atmosphere to the park. One of the most iconic trails is Trail 3, which takes you through a deep, rocky ravine, crossing wooden bridges and passing waterfalls. The trail is a bit challenging, but the stunning views and the sense of being completely immersed in nature make it well worth the effort. Activities for All While hiking is the star activity at Turkey Run, the park offers plenty of other outdoor adventures. There are areas for camping, picnicking, and even fishing along Sugar Creek, which meanders through the park. Adventurers can also enjoy kayaking and boating on the creek, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. For mountain bikers, there are trails that cater to different skill levels, and if you're just looking for a laid-back experience, the park’s picnic areas are ideal for a peaceful lunch surrounded by nature.
Ibis L — Google review
In the heart of Indiana you can find this beautiful trail system in Turkey Run State Park. With the river on the trail there are beautiful views with giant old growth tree! Such as Eastern Hemlocks and trails for all ages. Be very careful in some areas, where rocks can be slippery and some areas can be steep. This is a great place to take the family for a picnic and just out door adventures.
Justin S — Google review
Beautiful park with great hiking trails. We went on a Saturday and the river was absolutely mobbed with people rafting and kayaking but if you hike upstream a ways, it quiets down. The trails are cleared and well marked. Some are quite rugged. It's not very accessible for wheelchairs or strollers. Lots of stairs, rugged terrain and steep climbs. If you dont go down by the river, the trails seem to be more accessible. There are beautiful rock formations and a covered bridge. Lots of picnic tables and clean bathrooms. It's a fun place to visit. We saw people fishing and some fish jumping.

Sights & Landmarks
Purdue University, established in 1869, is renowned for its programs in air & space, engineering, science & English. The campus in West Lafayette boasts historic buildings and well-kept green spaces. Visitors can explore the university's Welcome Center and Admissions office for self-guided tours. Notable stops include the Art Deco Elliott Hall of Music and a statue of benefactor John Purdue. The university has expanded over the years with numerous colleges, residence halls, and athletics fields.
I was at Purdue University there about a month and a half ago to the veterinary emergency room. My dog needs a small dog had a spinal injury and I couldn't get the money up to have a surgery but took 3 days but I got it up. The doctor at first said that they gave him 50-50 chance of not being paralyzed. That that was before Dr Jessica Linder is neurology surgeon and doctor said that he was going to make 100% recovery. I am so grateful to that doctor. She is a genius, she is dang good at what she does and she loves it! A miracle was performed the day that the dog had surgery, and it was performed through her hands!!!! I'm going to tell the world about her because she truly does care it's not about the money with her. That is something that I don't say about just anybody.

Just moved my stepson here - could have been worse, but for a place charging $100k+ for a degree, one would think they could get a map to the parking? We watched all the parent videos, read all the directions, and then spent nearly an hour trying to find the assigned parking for his building. Ended up finding out the Google map pin they have in the directions was completely wrong! Hope the rest of the education isn't like this!
George H — Google review
Beautiful, large campus! It was a perfect activity for us to do on our visit to Lafayette. We visited the outdoor amphitheater--loved the artwork and architecture all over campus. I also appreciated the respect given to well-known STEM innovators.
Kathryn C — Google review
I recently attended my master’s graduation ceremony at Purdue University, and the experience was shockingly unacceptable. There was no signage to direct attendees, and the provided parking map was a generic campus layout with no clear instructions. Graduates were forced to wait in the armory for over two hours with no air conditioning or water, then walk in the heat to the commencement location with no accommodations for disabled individuals or pregnant women. No advertised support existed for elderly, disabled, or pregnant guests. My elderly grandparents were belittled and escorted back outside when seeking air conditioning and seating. Bathrooms were not easily accessible, and as a pregnant graduate, I felt lightheaded and sick with no EMS personnel in sight. This day should have been a celebration, but it ended up being physically exhausting and deeply disappointing.

My son is a sophomore this year, and the student and parent experience here has been amazing. Love this campus and the opportunities available.

Beautiful campus during the summer. Visited the Neil Armstrong statue and the surrounding areas - recommended for first-time visitors. Both of old gate and new gate were beautiful. We saw people taking wedding pictures in front of the gate. The lawn was also maintained well with many flowers. Enjoy the vibes on campus!

Great University and great place...! Both my daughters attended Purdue University W. Lafayette and achieved degrees and I could not have been happier with everything there..... Rated this year the 5th best public university in America, so they must be doing something right..... Great midwestern values.....! The University is located in a nice area, just west of the "banks of the Wabash" river... Since Mitch Daniels (ex governor of Indiana) took over as President, he froze the tuition and hasn't raised it in nearly 6 years..... That is unheard of.....! The dining courts are unbelievable, anything you could want is there, Chinese, Italian, American, just terrific... And as info, more astronauts went to Purdue than any other university and Amelia Earhart even taught there...! Drew Brees, Lenny Dawson, Bob Griese, John Wooden, Bill “Moose” Skowron, Hank Stram, Glenn “Big Dog” Robinson and many other great athletes called Purdue home... The great astronaut Neil Armstrong (first man on the moon) attended Purdue and achieved an aeronautical engineering degree and they have a statue in his honor on campus, as they do for Amelia Earhart... Purdue has its own airport...! This is a terrific learning institution and I highly recommend Purdue but buckle down, because it's not easy...! "Boiler Up"..!

Wolf Park

Non-profit organization
Zoos & Aquariums
Research facility sheltering gray wolves, coyotes, foxes & bison, with guided walking tours.
This sanctuary and others like it are so important. Especially now that America's wolves are being threatened. This is a wonderful place. The tours are well guided and educational, led by kind staff and volunteers. The animals themselves are so beautiful. Majestic. The enclosures are large, which is fantastic. All of the different canines were amazing to see (and hear! I heard several howls!) The herd of Bison was an unexpected surprise. I sat for quite a while watching them! The layout is nice, trails neat and clean, and the grounds are very well kept. Really great place!
Diane R — Google review
Drove out from Indy to fill some time I had before work. It was quiet at the park and a pretty cold day. I was able to see atleast 2 wolves and one of the foxes, so that made my drive out there worth it. The staff on site were very knowledgeable and provided me with really fun facts about all the animals & the park itself. I would definitely make a return trip out to try one of the tours for a more enriched experience. Fun little day trip indeed!
Amy G — Google review
The park staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was a little disappointing because all the animals were sleeping. We did get to see a couple wolves, but they were sleeping kinda far away. The bison (also sleeping) have a large area and the wild enclosures seemed small. The biggest one was under construction while we were there so they weren't doing howl night. We went at the 1pm tour so maybe going for the earliest or latest tour is the better idea. When you book they do warn you that you may or may not see things. It's a non-profit. Gift shop is nice.
Abigail M — Google review
One of the most interesting exploring adventures you can have. Return visit for me with family in tow for their first time. Friendly interns and staff are prepared to share knowledge and experiences from their time with wolves, foxes, bison and the habitat. Make no mistake, we're dealing with wild animals and they are unpredictable though mildly social with staff (required for research and animal health). The setting is as native/natural as possible without putting guests or animals at risk. The facility organizes all sorts of activities to teach and allow interactions. Get the schedule and plan ahead. You might guess, I'm a huge fan since it's a return visit with new guests every time and this is my fifth time. It's still exceeds my expectation. Papa G approved
Gary G — Google review
This place is amazing! The wolves are really well kept and loved. All the wolves were eagerly waiting to just see the staff and it's really cool to see them be right by the fence. Really helps to get some great pictures! I will visit this place again if I get the chance

Very detailed tour, you can ask questions without judgment, such a unique and great experience. We drove over 2 hours to go to the park and it was well worth the drive.

You will love visiting! Our guide was Joshua - a wonderful educator and host! All of the other staff was wonderful too. We had a great time and learned so much!
Shelly G — Google review
I was really impressed, the Director, Michelle was our tour guide and how she loves animals and her job. She is so passionate and thanked us and taught us so much information about wolves. Those animals are really misrepresented in the media. The tour was incredibly cheap and they are a 503b non-profit. Plus, they had my favorite animal, foxes!!!! A win all around!

Columbian Park Zoo is a popular destination for families, offering a seasonal zoo with nearly 200 mammals, birds, and reptiles from around the world. The park features walking trails, a high-energy playground, and a small petting zoo. Established in 1908, the zoo has spacious enclosures housing over 190 creatures of more than ninety different species. Visitors can enjoy exciting animal encounters and new exhibits such as Wallaby Walkabout and the North American River Otter Exhibit.
Perfect size zoo for our toddler. There are plenty of bathrooms outside of the zoo and a wonderfully updated and very large picnic area and playground to enjoy. The zoo itself is fairly small but not crowded which allows our kiddo to spend more time looking. There are also paddle boats which we plan to do next time.. We did ride the train which was fun but is an extra cost. The ride lasts about 30 minutes. There is a small gift shop at the entrance but otherwise no food amenities. Packing a lunch and some snacks is recommended. There isn't much to do otherwise but the Purdue campus is nearby which has plenty of shops and places to eat. We went on a Saturday to enjoy the farmers market prior to going to the zoo. Definitely a great day trip
Chrissie T — Google review
We randomly stopped for a break while driving to Chicago when I saw the zoo and park combo. The zoo was small but sweet and well maintained. Friendly and nice employees and the animals all seemed happy. The park was amazing! Even the tweens agreed it was the coolest we've ever seen :D
Christy S — Google review
For just three dollars, you can’t beat the value. The experience is perfectly sized and engaging enough to be worthwhile but not so overwhelming that young children get exhausted. I’d suggest packing a lunch and finding a shady spot under one of the trees to relax and eat. The adjacent park is fantastic, offering numerous playground attractions that kids love. As a bonus, there’s an ice cream shop just a short walk away. We’ll definitely be back for another visit.
Bryan H — Google review
We wanted to go on the paddle boats but they weren’t open yet so we checked out the zoo. The animals are well cared for. We got there right when they opened. It was a bit busy but plenty of room to see the animals. We enjoyed the goats and monkeys the most. The penguins were not out so that was a little disappointing. But overall we had a lot of fun and the price is amazing.
Muggle F — Google review
The zoo is small but really nice, clean, well run. Many of the birds are away now due to the avian flu in the area, but the llama and the goats and the prairie dogs were fun to see! My son and I had a fun hour or so exploring and will very likely return again!
Raven M — Google review
This is such a wonderful local zoo. There's also paddle boats and a water park and a train. You can ride as long as it's working though it wasn't working when I was there. I've been here several times. It's always worth the very reasonable entrance fee just to get to see the animals and walk around on a lovely day
Julia S — Google review
Perfect size park for the afternoon. We fed the goats and rode the train while going back and forth to the playgrounds. Well maintained and landscaped park, would definitely recommend.

Absolutely incredible facility. This place has generational character, and a story that warms the heart. As a place of joy zipping from tree to tree while observing the scenery from within the depths of the wilderness, this family owned business has a knowledgeable and friendly stuff. We never felt rushed and always felt safe and comfortable while on the lines. This was my first time ever, and I was able to overcome my fears. When you first arrive you'll head in and get all the payment and waivers sorted out, you'll then proceed to get geared up, and then get some instruction on the gear, before you head to the first meeting area to gather the group and go over the instructions for zipping. Dylan and Krista were our guides, and took us through a wonderful experience and confidently had us and the group laughing and having fun while sharing stories and getting to know one another. They had mentioned that larger groups can get congested but ultimately encourage everyone to take it all in every chance you get. TYSM to the entire staff and family here at Indiana ZipLine Tours. We look forward to coming back with the rest of our family.

We had a blast! Our guides were spectacular, Bill and his wife, whose name I cant remember. They were amazing with my 4 year old son, who had a blast!! This was his first time to zipline. They were so kind and did all they could to make this a wonderful experience! We would love the opportunity to come back!!

An all around excellent experience. The guides and staff are great. 5 and 9 year olds both had a blast. There are 8 total lines in the course with the 3rd and 8th being the longest and fastest. It uses the contours of the land so there are few stairs.

Had an amazing time with the family. Family friendly activity that was enjoyed by our 12 and two 8 year olds. Staff was friendly and made the experience feel safe while still keeping it fun. We will definitely be back. Great outdoor activity to enjoy the natural beauty.

We arrived 4 hours before our appointment due to travel time, and they allowed us to go as soon as we got there. We went as family of 4, ranging from ages 7 yrs-40+. The first run was scary, because you don't know what to expect. My middle child was hesitant, but after a few minutes went for it! He had a great time!! After the fear of the first line, it's fun, exciting, and almost therapeutic. We had a great time and could have done gone on several more runs. Our guides were Krista and Caden. They are very knowledgeable, kind, funny, encouraging, and comfortable. It's a very clean, organized, and professional set up. I HIGHLY recommend this amazing place!

The Rotary Jail Museum in Crawfordsville, Indiana is a unique tourist attraction as it houses one of the only three remaining rotary jails in the United States. This historic jail, built in 1882, features a round cell block that rotates like a carousel, allowing access to only one cell at a time. The museum offers regular events and tours where visitors can learn about the history and operation of this fascinating piece of architecture.
Our tour guide was amazing! The facility and history are so interesting and well worth the trip! Be sure to check the hours for the correct season. They’re closed on holidays and some days near holidays. I’ve heard from a local that at times they have even closed early (like 2pm). In October it was open 10am - 3pm. We did get in successfully right at 10am on a Friday.

I had an incredible experience visiting the Rotary Jail! The history of the place is fascinating, and the unique design of the jail is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. What made the tour even more special was our guide, Britney. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the jail, making the whole experience come to life. Her enthusiasm and attention to detail kept us engaged throughout the entire tour. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by and asking for Britney as your guide. It’s a must-see historical gem!

GREAT find and place! I’ve been wanting to come here for a while but it didn’t work out until now. This old time jail and museum are super cool to see. The concept, the pictures and information there brings you back in time. The tour was self guided and you can roam freely between floors and jail cells and take your time looking through the museum artifacts. This small but packed full place is definitely worth stopping at! One of three locations left to witness these engineering marvel of its time!

My sister and I really enjoyed the visit to this museum. Brittney was very informative and pleasant. We appreciated all the signs and information posted on the walls and near the exhibits. It is very well thought out and displayed museum and the photo props were a fun extra touch. We highly recommend a visit here!

Certainly a unique historical experience. The "operating" rotary jail, out of the 18 built in the USA. Three still exist but only this one can turn, via a manual crank. The Crawfordsville sheriff and family lived in the main, two-story front, the jail behind. There are 8 cells on two floors, two prisoners per cell, a multi-bunk women's cell, and three infirmary cells on the top floor, and a solitary confinement cell. One guard could manage the entire facility.

Absolutely phenomenal, interesting and educational… and the staff member that was there (I believe her name was Elizabeth, but I could be I could be wrong) went above and beyond… I highly recommend a visit!
Julie V — Google review
The first time I came they were closed and there was nothing on Facebook... So that was a bit frustrating... However, I went on Thursday at 11am the next week and they were open! Everything was very well set up for either a tour or just time to explore. Signs were very detailed and helpful, it was easy to navigate, and everything is in great condition. There is also a gift shop! It was a bit sparse in supply while we were there, but I'm sure they'll restock soon. I will note though that this place, understandably, is not super accessible. I was with someone using a walker and it was very difficult to get up the stone steps, through the door (it only opened on one half of the french-style doors), and through the narrow doorways. He also had to opt out of exploring the upper levels of the jail. Unfortunately this is likely not the place for you if you need assistance walking or are in a wheelchair.
Kaiti M — Google review
After checking out of my hotel outside of Indianapolis I wanted another new or interesting thing to do before my 4 hour drive to Milwaukee. I am a sociologist and find the history of our prison system interesting so when I found this place in a search I knew I needed to stop. This was a worthwhile stop for sure since I was unfamiliar with this type of jail system built in the 1800s. There are only 2 left standing and this was the only one that still rotated. They closed after 50 years because of safety reasons. This jail was used as a drunk tank. I spent maybe a little more than an hour visiting but overall I think most would stop for about 30-45 minutes top. I had a really interesting talk with the guide about our prison system and the uniqueness of this type of system. It is definitely worth a stop so check it out!

oh my god that was such an insane experience. i was so nervous, but the atmosphere the staff created was just so chill. you could tell everyone there loves what they do, and i felt so safe in their hands. i would absolutely do this again, and my instructor Al and photographer Alivia were AMAZING. if you're debating on spending the money for pictures or a video, just do it. it's so worth it, i was sent over 80 photos the same day of the skydive. we originally scheduled for saturday, but they had to cancel our jump because of high winds. they were so quick to help us reschedule for the very next day!

Did my first time ever jump Sep 14th. At the age of 76, this was on my bucket list to do. It always seemed to get pushed to the bottom of the list. I now wish I hadn't waited so long. The staff and instructors at Skydive Indianapolis, couldn't have made it any easier or more enjoyable than they did. They were friendly, easy to talk to. But when it came time to harness up, they got serious and extremely professional about what was about to happen. And what happened was and exhilarating jump out of an aircraft at 13000 feet. I could go on and on. But I recommend YOU contact Skydive Indianapolis, try it for yourself. Thank you, Skydive Indianapolis. Job well done.

This was my wife and I's first time. Super nervous but it was like our instructors knew exactly what we needed to here. Mike joked with my wife to calm her down and Hyder gave me crisp instructions. Exactly what we both needed at the time. Everyone there was extremely professional and friendly. We can't thank Mike and Hyder enough for the professionalism and making this trip very memorable. True professionals and leaders of men. Thank you for an amazing day! They need raises!!

Neat. Great chocolates selection. They taste good. Our verdict was above average, but the filled chocolates had a thin or runny consistency. It is not recommended for gluten or nut allergy humans. Prices are elevated. You can see their whole manufacturing setup right inside! Fancy.

I had such a fantastic experience at Donaldson's Finer Chocolates❣️ The employee was incredibly nice and welcoming, making me feel right at home as soon as I walked in. They were super helpful in guiding me through the different options🔥 Speaking of options, there were so many types of chocolates to choose from—dark, milk, white, and some really unique flavors that I’ve never seen before. Everything looked so delicious, it was hard to choose😍 I ended up buying a variety, and each one was better than the last. I also appreciated how clean and well-organized the store was, which made the shopping experience even better😁 I highly recommend stopping by if you’re a chocolate lover or if you’re looking for a special gift🤍 I’m definitely planning to come back soon for more treats. Donaldson's Finer Chocolates is a true gem🤎

Event venue
Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana earns a full five-star rating for its outstanding facilities, thoughtful design, and consistent operational excellence. The complex offers an exceptional environment for athletes, families, and visitors, regardless of the sport or season. The indoor and outdoor football (soccer) fields are of exceptional quality. The outdoor grass and turf fields are meticulously maintained, offering smooth playing surfaces, clearly marked lines, and excellent drainage. The indoor fields provide a professional-grade environment with spacious layouts, bright lighting, and climate control, making them ideal for year-round training and events. The infrastructure supports both recreational and competitive levels of play, with seating areas and viewing angles that accommodate spectators comfortably. The baseball diamonds are equally well-maintained. The infields are cleanly edged, and the outfields are consistently manicured, providing a safe and visually appealing playing surface. Each diamond is equipped with proper dugouts and fencing, and many include bleachers or shaded areas for families and fans. These details reflect a consistent standard of care across all sports fields. The grounds crew deserves significant recognition. Their work is visible throughout the complex—from the precision in field preparation to the cleanliness of walking paths and landscaped areas. Every green space is neatly trimmed, and litter is virtually nonexistent. This level of maintenance contributes to both the aesthetics and safety of the campus. Concession stands are strategically located and offer a variety of food and beverage options. Menus cater to both quick snacks and more substantial meals, and prices remain fair given the venue size. Staff members at the stands are courteous and efficient, even during large-scale events when lines are longer. Cleanliness in the food areas is also consistently upheld. The parking lots throughout the complex are well-designed, with clear directional signage and ample space for even the busiest tournament weekends. Traffic flow is logical, and pedestrian access to the main venues is safe and direct. Multiple lots are situated to serve different areas of the campus, which reduces congestion and walking distances for visitors. The staff at Grand Park are consistently friendly, helpful, and well-informed. Whether assisting with directions, coordinating event logistics, or answering questions, employees and volunteers contribute positively to the experience. Their presence reinforces the campus’s reputation for hospitality and professionalism. Walking paths extend throughout the property, connecting fields, buildings, and open areas in an accessible and scenic layout. These paths provide visitors with space for exercise, relaxation, and easy navigation between venues. Their upkeep matches the high standards set by the rest of the complex. The facility’s versatility enhances its value significantly. Grand Park accommodates soccer, baseball, lacrosse, volleyball, and American football without sacrificing quality in any area. Fields and courts are adaptable, and supporting infrastructure—such as restrooms, seating, and administrative space—is equipped to handle large multi-sport events. This makes the complex suitable for local league play, regional tournaments, and national championships alike. Star breakdown: Star 1: High-quality indoor and outdoor football (soccer) fields with excellent maintenance. Star 2: Well-appointed baseball diamonds and clean, efficient concession stands. Star 3: Exceptional groundskeeping across all facilities and public spaces. Star 4: Well-structured parking lots and accessible, scenic walking paths. Star 5: Friendly, helpful staff and unmatched versatility across multiple sports. Grand Park Sports Campus sets a high benchmark for athletic complexes in the Midwest and beyond. Its blend of thoughtful design, professional upkeep, and inclusive functionality makes it a model facility for community sports and major athletic events alike.

There was a tornado warning and they evacuated our kids that are here for a national wrestling tournament. Literally, made them leave the building. The whole team had to travel in the storm to seek shelter. That's crazy to me. A nice facility with some okay food options. You could few a wrap for $9, a burger and side for $12, or a grilled chicken sandwich and side for $13, pizza was $5 a slice or $25 for a whole pie. Canned soda was $3 though the sign said $2.50, and Acai bowls were $14. My chicken sandwich was okay, I would have liked it to be a little thicker. My side of broccoli was decent. You could get by without spending too much of you only wanted snacks. Popcorn was $3.50. It smells amazing, but didn't taste a good as it smelled. Soft pretzels were $5, which isn't too bad. I think it was $1 more for cheese.

My team and I had a great time during the Midwest Homeschool World Series this past April. Even though we lost all four games we played. The fields were excellent, the facilities were great, and they made the entire tournament feel special. I highly recommend this complex.

Came here for a colts joint practice vs packers. The NFL play 60 was set up with in the park. Had things for kids of all ages to do. Was a great event.
Cory H — Google review
Very nice complex. It is well organized and always clean. There is a lot of parking spots available and they use a pretty effective entry control point to be able to charge for the entrance to the games. The parking is free and we are assuming that the entrance fee varies depending on the event you attend. They have bathrooms near the fields and have some bleachers available. There are a good amount of open areas where people can place their tents to shield the sun and heat and not bother people trying to see the game. They have concession stands spread out toale it easier to use. There were some vendors along the route to the fields. Overall a great experience.
Héctor F — Google review
Grand Park Sports Campus truly stands out as a gem for sports enthusiasts and families alike. The fields are top-notch, well maintained and offer a wide variety of sports. They are constantly improving or redoing playing surfaces / refilling crumb rubber or actual turf on the turf fields, resting grass fields so they re grow and more. While the City owns the park, you have actual sports operators in charge of a lot of operations too so the emphasis on quality fields or current updates is not lost - which is apparent versus other places often run exclusively by municipalities which may sacrifice funds for this or reduce their importance in favor of other initiatives. What really sets this place apart is the dedicated and friendly staff, always ready to assist and enhance the experience. Bullpen / GP folks are helpful despite the expansive setting - Hamilton county tourism has a great app as well with nearby things, events, restaurants, discounts etc. The ongoing developments are impressive, hinting at an even brighter future for this venue. It's exciting to witness the transformation, making it not just a sports complex but a true destination for families, especially during weeklong tournaments. There's a unique energy here that keeps everyone engaged and close to so much. Friends of ours stayed at the Chatham Hills guest house located on a private golf course about a mile away ~ great to be so close for all and have amenities, friends etc nearby. Lastly, love the proximity of the Monon Trail! Whether you're into running or cycling, it's the perfect way to unwind or get some exercise between games. (Bikes aren’t permitted in GP itself) The trail offers a beautiful route all the way to downtown Indianapolis, perfect for those with some extra time. If you’re there in later July / August, The highlight for many, is the Colts Training Camp. Held during one of the tournaments, it added an extra layer of excitement. The fact that it's free (with an online ticket) is amazing. The variety of activities for kids, like speed games and jumping, is impressive. Plus, the chance to be so close to the players adds a touch of magic to the experience. The Colts were scrimmaging the Bears ~ which was awesome to see. Lastly ~ pets are not permitted in the park but we noticed there is a nearby Barkefellers and a really cool Bar / Park for dogs right across the street from junior baseball fields called Crate Escapes to take animals to if traveling! :)

This is a big, nice ball park. The scoreboard was not on/working. Bathrooms were hot boxes. Toilets right next to walls and toilet paper rolls sat in your lap. Stands fit about 20 people. The back stop wall is too tall to sit a lawn chair and watch. Outfield seating was better if the ground was flat. Parking lot J was too small when utilizing all the fields, but the event had shuttle services.

Located within the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum is a haven for racing enthusiasts and history buffs alike. The museum boasts an impressive collection of classic race cars, motorcycles, engines, and memorabilia dating back to the late 1800s. It also features a permanent exhibit showcasing the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame. Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich history of racing in Indianapolis and explore winning cars from the renowned Indy 500.
It’s an amazing experience from start to finish. Be sure and take the golf cart tour. Jason was personable and made the tour awesome! The museum is amazing! So many important cars and the building itself is a work of art. The only negative is they need more refreshments due to the amount of time a visitor may spend there. Be sure and talk to the different staff around the museum, they make the visit more informative and some of them have great stories. I highly recommend visiting here whether you e ever watched a race or not.

Wow! The newly renovated floorplan is incredible. The detail and displays are easy to read and purposeful to the history of the track. I felt like I connected to the history of the track through the museum. The movie displays stimulating and felt like I was there. The new STEM/kids area is really for all ages and does an exceptional job bringing the racing experience to your finger tips. Plan extra time for thus area. And the top floor is a tribute to the best of the best showing off race suits and trophies. This truly is a key part of American history as well as the commitment to excellence.

WOW. As a lifelong motorsports fan, I've always enjoyed visiting IMS, though it had been years since I visited the museum. After the recent renovation, this is easily the BEST museum for racing fans everywhere. The exhibits are fantastic, it's spotless and well-laid out, and had a large section for interactive activities (including a bank of simulators)! Best of all though - there was a TON for our young kids to do! A small play area for toddlers, interactive games, and an entire room dedicated to STEAM activities. We got a discount for admission from our local library, but I would have easily paid full price. The IMS staff were so incredibly nice, and were very helpful and chill, even with our crazy 18-month-old running around yelling "CAR!" constantly. Well done, IMS! We will be back!

Loved it! It's an immersive experience that's well laid out in a modern and very clean facility. For a true racing fan, this is a must-see, especially as it contains so much history and includes not only IndyCar and the Indy 500, but also a NASCAR feature that depicts the history of the Brickyard 400. It is my understanding that the NASCAR display is not a permanent fixture in the museum. However, in my opinion it should be because it features IMS in a broader sense... especially since so many visitors only know it for the Indy 500.

My husband loved touring the museum and seeing all the cars they have on display. I’m not much of a race fan or car enthusiast but found the history very interesting. We spent about an hour touring all three levels. They were testing on the track while we were there, so no track tours that day, but we plan to come back and actually tour the track via golf cart.

This was one of the best museum experiences of my life with the interactive race car stations and the interactive tire removal and seeing all the assembly disassembly visuals in all of the cars and it’s an absolutely pristine condition. The work that they did inside the place is the best museum quality I’ve ever seen bathrooms were absolutely showpieces not to mention they were clean as all get out and the staff inside the museum either from the museum foundation or the Roger Penske team were just magnificent. You have to go and see this

I didn't know what to expect and just really loved the museum. I can tell that they've made an admirable effort to include underrepresented artists. I also loved all of the pairings of different art pieces so that I could really think about the pieces and notice new things. This museum is also perfect for children! What an amazing job they've done at helping students cultivate an interest and connect with art. I also had lunch and visited the gift shop and would recommend both.

The membership pays for itself after only two visits a year, and we’ve gone at least 10-12 times each year. From ZooBoo to Christmas at the Zoo are the iconic ones, but the times during the weekdays when there are no field trips or herds of children are the best for my part-time home wife. My daughter has fed giraffes, pet kangaroos, had her face painted and ate Dippin’ Dots on her birthday, rode the train, watched dolphins splash her, gave high-fives at the plexiglass at the orangutangs, smelled flowers, asked why Flamingos are pink, and almost has a visual map in her head of the entire park. Have I mentioned she just turned three years old? My son is 9 months old, and he’s had a handful of times already at the zoo, and the amount of experiences the zoo has provided has sustained into our home with imagination zookeeping, making animal noises, reading out of picturebooks her favorite zoo animals, and instead of “Old MacDonald had a farm” it is now “Old MacDonald had a zoo!”. As a former educator for 15 years, I have witnessed students who have had experiences outside of the home greatly enrich their education and their overall social capital. Having my daughter exposed to so much of the world in the middle of the heartland of Indiana, through the Indianapolis Zoo, I know that she will find her passions in helping conserve and create a better world for the next generations with the education she’s learning here. I am inspired to continue inviting her into these spaces, and I look forward to seeing the wanderlust my son will have for these escapades to the jungle and prairie and everywhere in the park. If I could give 10 Google reviews with 5-stars, I would give so much emphasis on how essential it is to get a membership, show up and provide the story of the Indianapolis Zoo to embed into your children, and watch them become fuller with each visit. And you, as the parent of course, can have unlimited soft drinks while you mosey! THANK YOU, Indy Zoo! You have members for life!

What a great experience, went during the week, less crowded. It was our first time at the zoo. It was gorgeous. I loved all the places that you can and just sit and observe the animals. The park was so clean. I can't say enough great things about the staff, they were so kind and offered up all the events coming up at the zoo. You must take the time to visit the chimpanzees and the orangutans. They so much room to move around, you always have to be on the lookout. Love Indianapolis zoo can't wait to go back.

We took the kids to the Indianapolis Zoo during a weekend trip, and it was a great time all around. The place is huge — you could easily spend half a day wandering around without realizing it. We saw all the big hitters: elephants, giraffes, kangaroos, and a bunch of others that I’m pretty sure my kids renamed halfway through (“Look, it’s a long-necked horse!”). We splurged on feeding the giraffes and flamingos, and it was totally worth it — the kids were thrilled, and we got some great photos out of it. We also took them on the little rollercoaster, which they absolutely loved (and which gave us a much-needed break from walking). The dolphin show was definitely the highlight — entertaining, well done, and a nice break from all the walking. The zoo was packed since the weather was perfect and they were handing out candy to kids dressed up for Halloween, so it had a fun, festive vibe (and a sugar-fueled chaos energy). We grabbed some food from one of the stalls expecting the usual overpriced “theme park” meal, but honestly? It wasn’t bad at all. The fries, chicken tenders, and nachos actually hit the spot — maybe we were just starving, but still, solid effort. All in all, 4 stars — great experience, awesome for families, and bonus points for not charging $20 for fries. Just be ready for crowds if you go on a nice day!

I've been to a handful of zoos in my life. The Indianapolis Zoo is my favorite that I've been to. The layout made for a wonderful experience as we moved from one exhibit to another. I also think the gardens and foliage planted along all the exhibits really added to it. We went on a Wednesday in the middle of August. Crowds were light which made for an easy viewing of all exhibits. All the animals were active. Watched the cheetahs chase each other around. Then we were lucky to see them get feed raw meat by the zoo keepers. The dolphin show was fun. The tropical bird and butterfly enclosures were awesome to walk through. I'd highly recommend making this zoo a destination if you visit Indianapolis.

Go now, in October, it is decorated beautifully. I love going. Landscaped and waling layout gives you curvy trails of shade and quiet areas to enjoy seeing the animals. The plants are amazing, such a variety. The front had the cutest Halloween/October themes. If you are a Purdue employee, check out the deep discount, buy it now and use it any day. Everything is just beautiful.

✨ As a wedding photographer, I absolutely love working at the Indianapolis Zoo! Not only are the grounds stunning—with so many unique backdrops that make wedding photos truly magical—but the staff is also incredibly kind and helpful to work with. From start to finish, they were organized, welcoming, and made the day run so smoothly—not just for the couple, but for us vendors, too! There’s something so special about celebrating a love story surrounded by nature, and the zoo offers that in the most beautiful way. It’s a one-of-a-kind venue, and I always look forward to capturing weddings here! Highly recommend for couples looking for a venue that’s both elegant and fun!

Hands down, middle of the week mornings are the best time to go. The Zoo has made so many improvements, and is looking amazing. With that comes the constant construction. However, its is 100% worth the minor inconvenience. If this is your first time considering the Zoo, DO IT ! Definitely top of the list things to do with the kiddos. The outdoor event center is absolutely stunning, and provides an abundance of shade for relaxing under.

I had an amazing time at the Indianapolis Zoo! We booked our tickets online, and it only cost $16 per person totally worth every penny. It’s such a fun and exciting place to visit, especially if you’re taking kids. The entire experience was fantastic and I even filmed an awesome YouTube video here — definitely a memorable day! The dolphin show was absolutely incredible — it’s a must-see! Everything was clean, well-organized, and the staff were super friendly. Just a small tip for visitors: wear comfortable sports shoes because there’s a lot of walking, and dress for the weather, since most of the zoo is outdoors. Highly recommend the Indianapolis Zoo for families, couples, or anyone looking for a fun and educational day out!

Museums
The Children's Museum of Indianapolis stands as a beacon of creativity and learning, proudly holding the title of the largest children's museum in the world. This vibrant destination is packed with interactive exhibits that captivate young minds, from exploring dinosaur bones in Dinosphere to immersing themselves in a recreation of modern Greece complete with charming sidewalk cafes. Visitors can enjoy a delightful ride on a historic carousel or gaze at the stunning 43-foot Dale Chihuly glass sculpture that greets them at the entrance.
From the second you see the gigantic dinosaur cracking the building open from the car, it is an amazing experience. Every floor is absolutely packed with amazing exhibits. Things for children and parents, nostalgia at its best. On top of the amazing and beautiful exhibits, they have so many things for little children to do. The playscape is a life saver for kids who need to get some energy out. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They are so open to nursing mothers and mothers with small babies in general when it comes to feeding, relaxing, changing. 100/10 recommend. I'd go even if I didn't have kids with me.

Very good and large museum for all ages of children. It's interactive and knowledge sharing for children. It's great place to take your children here. You must have enough time in hand to see indoor as well as out door facilities. Nicely made museum.

This was probably the highlight of our trip! We spent 6 hours here and recommend planning for a full day here. We bought tickets in advance and took a look at all the exhibits ahead of time so we weren't overwhelmed on where to start. This museum is great for families with kids of all ages. It is super stroller friendly with the ramp to get from one floor to another. You were never more than a tiny walk to a bathroom, great diaper changing areas, water bottle refills, and benches. The Playscapes area was great for our toddler to run around and burn off some energy. All three of our kids loved the outdoor sports exhibit! They played hockey, baseball, football, basketball, took a lap around the mini speedway, and climbed through the tree! This place has it all. The cafeteria was excellent for lunch and has a highchair. Lots of great learning and core memories made here! Cannot recommend enough!

Great immersive museum for children. There’s areas for babies and under 5 and then areas meant for kids 8-9+ and plenty for adults to see as well. Unfortunately the weather was a bit cold so we missed the outside sports area, but it looked very fun. The blown glass sculpture and water clock were were impressive, as were the large dinosaurs inside and outside. Free parking was great, but I wish adult admissions weren’t so expensive or perhaps a discount for second parent to offset the price. It was around $90 for our family of 3. If we lived closer we’d definitely become members.
Mike V — Google review
The 3 little ones and some family really had an amazing time at the Museum. They were able to create(color) their own dinosaur and watch it come to LIFE! They tried the outdoor sports center and went up the huge treehouse! Enjoyed playing music and seeing all of the different exhibits. They had a great time and absolutely LOVED it!

The best Children's Museum I've ever been to. They have everything and its hours of fun for every age. We have a membership so we can dig deep in different areas and never feel like we have to do the whole Museum in a day! Every staff member I have ever seen has a smile on their face and is so helpful and caring. When my 3 year old was throwing a tantrum about leaving, several staff members asked if she was ok and if there was anything they could do to help.

Super cool experience and highly recommend! Going on Thursdays at 4 pm will get you a big discount on tickets. Is a great place for children to be children and explore a safe space where everything is touchable.

My family has always wanted to try this museum but the timing never worked out until yesterday! We went on a summer weekday when some Indiana schools were already in session. We went with 4 adults and three kids ages 4, 9 & 11. We bought tickets in advance and parked in the free covered lot. Entry was a breeze and my kids immediately found activities to interest them. We ate at the museum and the food was good (better than many other museums) and very good choices. Prices seemed fine. We were busy from 11-3 and then had to leave but missed two floors! I think my 11yo might be aging out but anyone into sports or solving mysteries would still love it! I would go back! The special Peru exhibit was our favorite, followed by the sports area and the Rube Goldberg Machine.

Victory Field is the home of the Indianapolis Indians, a minor league baseball team affiliated with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The field can host over 14,000 visitors and offers stunning views of the Indianapolis skyline. It features various amenities such as an arcade, bar & grill, picnic area, and fireworks displays during warmer months. Even non-baseball fans are encouraged to visit for family-friendly experiences like the Knot Hole Kids Club and kids programs.
An inexpensive place to spend the day watching a ballgame. Food prices are fair and the food is pretty good. Souvenir prices are on par with everywhere else. Restrooms were clean and plentiful. The lawn looked like a good place to bring little kids who may not be interested in the game the whole time, plenty of room for them to move around. If you sit in the lawn you can bring food and drinks in. They even have a place for smokers so they don't have to leave the stadium.

What a great day at the ballpark! Found covered parking nearby in a museum garage for $10. Food and drink at the ballpark are plentiful and priced fairly. Clean restrooms. Fun entertainment between innings. A super great day with the Indians baseball team!

Such a great day at the ballpark. I'm originally from San Diego, California, so coming to a smaller ballpark was amazing. I wouldn't think that it would be that great, but my family and I had a lovely time. Not only were the mascots entertaining, but the crowd was so amazing. The food was delicious. Fourteen and under eat free on Sundays. We will definitely be back to watch another game. Thank you, Victory Field, we truly enjoyed ourselves.

Went to an Indianapolis Indians game for the first time and it was great!! Victory Field is beautiful and the game featured the Indians vs. the Iowa Cubs. It was a pitching duel through 10 innings and a 0-0 score then Iowa broke loose for 7 runs in extra innings. The game was well played by both teams. We enjoyed our seats and had some great food from concessions too. Many thanks to all at Victory Field for a great experience!

Lucas Oil Stadium is a state-of-the-art, retractable-roof stadium located in Indianapolis. It serves as the home of the NFL's Indianapolis Colts and hosts various events including concerts. The stadium has a seating capacity of 67,000 and offers stunning views of the downtown skyline. Visitors can take year-round tours to explore this impressive venue that opened in 2008 and hosted the 2012 Super Bowl.
We were at Lucas oil stadium for gen con and the staff kept everything clean and tidy. I cannot comment on seats as we went for the convention but I would imagine lower level for concerts and games having a great view. We did a D&D session in one of the suite level room and and the area inside was maintained well, comfortable and allowed for a cool view of the stadium. Overall I’m glad the staff was on top of things and keeping the bathrooms clean during a very busy time!

The stadium was great. The blast of air conditioning was a welcome relief from the heat outside. There was some technological issues verifying our tickets that delayed our entry into the building and thereby caused us to miss much of the pregame. Still not sure what happened but eventually all nine of us entered. We were in the back of the mid-level and our view was unobstructed. The toilets were sufficient. The food was as expected.

FFA national convention is hosted there and Evans high school which I teach at, and I am the FFA advisor. This year was our first time going to the national conference. And we really enjoyed ourselves. The stadium is great. This was my first time visiting Indiana and its beautiful. I love the way their landscaping with beautiful flowers and crops. Such as cabbages, different types of lettuce, Swiss Chard. It's just beautiful lavender everywhere.

We went to see the BOA Nat.Championships Finals. It was so cool! The stadium is clean, has nice restrooms, Lucas Oil grill serves pretty good burgers (they also have veggie burgers). Clear bag policy was not enforced. Temperature was fine until the AC started blowing cold air from above after 9 pm. Parking in close proximity for $20 (cash or card).

There are a ton of entrances you can’t actually get through. Following the crowd works fine, and security moves quickly once you figure out where to go in. Beers run about $17 for the big cans, and you’re limited to two per person. They’ll ask you to leave a tip—minimum 15% (hard pass)—and claim it goes to some charity.
Onlysterbsli — Google review
Not a whole lot to say about it. It's a stadium. The seats in the club section are very roomy. The standard seats are pretty small. Crowds are usually not too wild. The concessions are reasonably priced for sporting events versus other stadiums. The concessions do get crowded during large events and there is usually a pretty long line. There seems to be plenty of parking.

I recently attended the Bands of America Grand Nationals Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium, a two-day event that was an amazing experience. The stadium is impressively large, with plenty of seating to accommodate the crowds, making it comfortable to enjoy hours of incredible performances. On the first morning, we grabbed coffee at the stadium. I ordered a mocha, and it was pretty good—just what I needed to start the day. Later that evening, we tried the chicken tenders and fries. They were tasty, though I wish there had been a spicier sauce option. They did have sriracha, but it wasn’t quite spicy enough for me. On the second day, we stopped by Maui Wowi and tried the piña colada and lemonade smoothies. They were refreshing, flavorful, and perfect after spending so much time in the stadium. Overall, Lucas Oil Stadium provided a great atmosphere for the championship. With food options, plenty of seating, and an unforgettable lineup of bands, it was a fantastic place to experience such a memorable event. I’d happily return for future performances and events.

We had a wonderful time at our 25 people wine tasting. Hayley was wonderful to work with to organize our visit. Christine and Jessica worked our party and were amazing. My wife and I had such a wonderful experience at Mallow Run Winery. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming, relaxed, and exactly what you’d hope for in a winery visit. Our server, Ella, truly made the day memorable. She was knowledgeable, attentive without being rushed, and guided us through the wines with warmth and care. It felt like she genuinely wanted us to enjoy not only the wines but the whole experience. The wines themselves were a treat. Some highlights from our tasting: Corot Noir - Dark, Dry, and yet very smooth. Dry Traminette - a dry white with a ton of complexity and flavor. Blueberry Cider – Refreshing, crisp, and perfectly balanced. Not a lot of blueberry aroma, but plenty of blueberry in the body and finish. Very drinkable and not overly sweet. Radiance (Sparkling Rhubarb) – Bright and fun, with just the right amount of effervescence and rhubarb. It’s rare to find a place that combines a beautiful setting, wonderful wines and ciders, and such friendly service. Mallow Run Winery is absolutely that place, and it’s easy to see why it has so many loyal fans. We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending it to friends and family.

Mallow run is a beautiful winery. The location is quiet and peaceful. They have good selection of wine and the servers are good. They have over the counter tasting, which is free of cost. The tasting process in itself is not very indulging, they just serve the wine of your selection and move to the next customer. It’s can also be cause we visited on a weekend which is usually very busy. You can purchase wine by the glass or bottle after tasting to be seated. They don’t have food but you can buy cheese and crackers. They have nice merchandise if you like collecting wine related things. It’s very spacious with both indoor plus outdoor seating. You can expect it to be busy on weekends so calling up before will be helpful. They have ample parking space. It’s definitely a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon with a bottle of wine and friends.

This interactive history park offers a glimpse into the past of Indiana through engaging exhibits and activities. Established in 1934 by Eli Lilly, the park showcases the evolution of Fishers from a town to a city in 2015.
A great place to stop for a visit! We were on a mini vacation in Indianapolis and stopped here on our way home. The playground alone made it worth it for our daughter. We also enjoyed wandering the village and chatting with all of the villagers and workers. The treetop play area was also a lot of fun. Stopping by in the spring also ensures you will see tons of baby animals. We even got to pet a few of the larger ones.

Headless Horseman Absolutely loved this event! My family and I had an amazing time! We didn’t get to do everything they had to offer, there was so much! We absolutely loved the Marinette show, the magic show and the fire throwers. Of course the headless horseman wagon ride stole the show! That was so much fun! The food was some of the best! I wished I had filmed the marionette and magic show, it was also like a comedy show in addition to each one. We are looking forward to coming again next year!!!! 100% worth the cost of tickets! Thank you to everyone who made this happen! Everyone did an amazing job! The food vendors were awesome too!

Good experience, bring cards - they don’t always accept cash. The kids had a great time and there was plenty to do. The guides who talked about fur trading, weaving, etc. were all really fun and knowledgeable. We were there from 11-3 and still hadn’t gone through every area since the kids (ages 4-10) spent a lot of time playing on the playground and at the treehouse outpost. They were filthy, exhausted, and happy. Fell asleep 5 minutes after we left. One major concern was that we found out after arriving that they had recently implemented “cashless weekends”. Since I specifically brought cash for the day, that turned out to be a big problem. The cafe is the only place to eat and wouldn’t take my money. Couldn’t buy balloon ride tickets. If I hadn’t had Applepay, I would have had to leave the entire property and drive elsewhere in Fishers for lunch, which would not have been so frustrating if it had been made clear in advance. I can’t find any mention anywhere of them being cashless on their website. That should definitely be made clear to guests planning a visit. Otherwise, great experience.

Participated in the event of Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s largest, most impactful fundraising event Take Steps to raise funds to accelerate research, advance treatments, and provide programs and support to improve the quality of life for those living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Event was on June 14th, 2025 at Conner Prairie, Fishers, Indiana. Although a rainy day but remarkable people attended with rain suites and umbrellas. Very well organized, opened with introductions, speeches and finally a walk. My daughter is a member of this foundation, that make me a proud father.

Me and my boyfriend had a good time at the headless horseman festival! The mozzarella sticks with marinara and witches brew (apple cider) slushy was really good not to mention their baked soft Halloween cookies!! Never had a cookie that melts in my mouth like butter! It was a very cute place to hang out see some interesting shows and eat good food! The regular corn maze was fun! The scary one had just one area of clowns that its not really much to it or scary at all but a good laugh not worth the wait though if there is a line no pop out scares besides one time I think they are low staffed but overall pretty fun to walk through and just vibe. The hay ride cost more it’s not included in the 27 dollar general admission it’s an extra 10 dollars and needs to be reserved which sucked for us because we where looking forward to that experience.

Ruoff Music Center, formerly known as Deer Creek Music Center, is the largest outdoor music venue in the Indianapolis area. With a capacity for nearly 25,000 spectators, it hosts major tours and festivals across various musical genres from May through fall. While some visitors have experienced delays exiting the parking lot after events, many locals praise its efficient operation and security measures.
Great place for concerts!! Seating is nice but feels crowded. The lawn is usually pretty comfortable. Most of the lawn chairs for rent are gone by time you get there. You would want to order them in advance. Don't waste your money on the "blanket" it's smaller than a rug. Most vendors only accept card. The security check is pretty laid back usually.
Ariel H — Google review
I love seeing shows at Ruoff! Whether you’re in the pit, seats, or the lawn, you’ll have a great view and a great time. The pit is a bit small, so it is easier to get in and out if you need to. I like that the entrance to the lawn is at the front, as opposed to some with lawn entrances from the back. Food and drinks are way overpriced, but that’s concert venues nowadays. The staff and atmosphere are 10/10. Great concert venue.
Brittany R — Google review
Came here to see Pierce The Veil. The venue staff is absolutely amazing compared to some venues I’ve been to, they’re so happy to help and have all the info you will need. We were driving around the parking lots 2-4 am until some workers came in, advised us what time lining up would be allowed, and due to their info we were able to get a great spot in line and into the venue quickly. On top of that, inside the venue they kept us dry during the storm, figured out how to keep the show going, and kept us all in line and orderly. I wish they had photographers by security so I could find a picture of my bestie and I on the barricade, but that has nothing to do with a bad rating. This is a great venue and I would travel to it again to see more shows!

I went for Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. This is a good venue. There is plenty of space for merch and a lot of food and drink options. Everything is overpriced, but less so than some other midwestern venues. They have a mix of seating and open lawn and I did find it irritating that they needed to see my ticket every time I came back to my seat. I think wristbands would have been easier.

Often referred to as the 'Little Smokies' due to its striking resemblance to the Great Smoky Mountains, this park boasts an array of outdoor activities for nature enthusiasts. With over 20 miles of hiking and biking trails winding through picturesque landscapes, visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of tree-lined roads and scenic vistas that showcase uninterrupted forest views.
I frequent a lot of State Parks and somehow have never gone to Brown County State Park. I love the quaint town of Nashville. That is where I have always spent my trips down to Brown County. The park is massive the trails are abundant. The camping looks decent and intend to give this a shot too! We took our new dog out on trail 9 and 7. We had a blast! A great place to bike the trails!

Rented a deluxe cabin for a couple of nights. Very nice. Park is huge with lots of trails for hiking and biking. There is also a saddle barn offering horseback riding through the woods. We enjoyed our ride. The inn has an aquatic center which was included with the cabin rental.

A lovely state park. If you enjoy hiking and difficult bike trails, this is the park for you! If you want a more leisurely experience, the lodge and cabins are great and it has the aquatic center which is a big hit. Town is close and full of great shops and restaurants. We love camping here and actually just rented the recreation building to have our wedding in! It was wonderful

Brown county is a must go spot for Fall and beware everyone goes there for Fall! Last weekend was very crowded taking about 30 minutes just to cross the entrance. Past the crowd, the views were everything! It was eye candy and so worth the traffic, wait time and people. The park itself is very huge and has a couple entrance points and is well maintained. We hiked the Straul Lake hike and it’s an easy 1 mile hike which had exceptional views- I just couldn’t stop looking! The lookout points are another easy way to stop and click pictures, enjoy the views and just relax. Beware that internet depending on your provider can be hard to find. All in all brown county is a name for a reason. So worth the hype!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 🤩loved it!!! Brown County State Park – Indiana’s hidden natural treasure! Located in Nashville, Indiana, Brown County State Park is the largest state park in the state and truly one of the most scenic spots in the Midwest. It’s about 1 hour from Indianapolis, 2 hours from Louisville (KY), 2.5 hours from Cincinnati (OH), 3.5 hours from Chicago (IL), and 4 hours from St. Louis (MO) — making it an easy road trip destination from several major cities. From the moment you drive through the forested entrance and the historic covered bridge, you can feel the peaceful atmosphere take over. The park features miles of hiking and biking trails, scenic overlooks, picnic areas, and horseback riding at the Brown County Saddle Barn. The views are absolutely breathtaking — especially from the fire tower, where you can see endless hills and colorful treetops. The Hoosier’s Nest cabin and the historic buildings scattered around give the park a charming, nostalgic feel. Everything is clean and well maintained, including rest areas and visitor facilities. Entry was $9 per vehicle, and it’s open 24 hours, so you can enjoy sunrise or sunset views over the hills. Whether you’re planning a quick weekend escape or a full camping adventure, this park is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and families. 🌲🍁🐴🦆🐝🌳🪵

We brought our kids here to go camping for a couple of nights mid-week. It was awesome! We have camped at a couplecof other places, but the Taylor Ridge campground was really nice. The spots are a little tight with all of the trees, but it really feels secluded. The bath house was clean and well stocked. It rained about half the time we were there, but when we were able to get out, my kids had an absolute blast. They loved the nature center and we were able to go on several trails that were perfect for them. Everybody was really sad when it was time to leave this morning. We are looking to go back as soon as possible!

So nice to return to this grand state park after a 13 year hiatus. Was surprised at how lovely the 7 Vista Challenge was - the views were spectacular and I ended up stopping at more vista points than required because it was so interesting to read the signs and learn more about the park. Hiked on numerous trails which provided lots of challenge (love how the locals pass me with ease as I huff & puff up the ravines) ... Both lakes were spectacular to see at this time of the year with the leaves changing color. We camped on-site and found all of the facilities clean & in working order. All of the DNR staff was super helpful. The Nature Center here was chock full of great information about the local habitat, flora, & fauna. While I have no interests in snakes, it was helpful seeing the real deal with the 2 venomous snakes at the Nature Center so I knew what to look out for on the trails.

Beautiful, even when it sleets on you while hiking! I can see how this would get crowded during peak fall foliage! Beautiful place. The lodge had delicious smells emanating from it! 🥰 The mini water park looks nice, though it can't handle large numbers, it still would be fun!

The Historic Artcraft Theatre

Movie theater
Fun & Games
Films from Hollywood's golden age, including kids' classics, in a historic renovated theater.
Always enjoy a show at the Artcraft Theatre. Three adult tickets for Elf were $18. Popcorn, candy and drinks were $16. A nice moment before each show when the National Anthem is played. Returning in a few weeks to see White Christmas. Nostalgic to see a movie there.
Jennifer W — Google review
This is a great classic theater. They keep the facilities nice. The workers and volunteers are friendly and helpful. They continue to show a nice selection of classic (20th century) movies. Concession prices are great! When was the last time Bogota 2 popcorn and 2 drinks for under $15? I wish that we lived closer so that we could attend more often.
Dennis L — Google review
A fun experience in a beautiful theater presented by people who love their town. The movies are 10+ years old so it is great to see them on the screen again. The pre film activities are fun and it is terrific when the audience joins in on the National Anthem. Can’t get any better.

I'm so glad to be a supporter of the Artcraft! Its always a fun experience, whatever the movie is! And the BEST POPCORN EVER!!! Thank you to everyone that keeps supporting Artcraft Theater & making it possible!!

Every small town in Indiana wishes they had as cool of a movie theater that offers a unique experience watching older movies. Seriously if you’ve never been, pick a movie on their list if up coming shows and visit. A true gem of a place that has been the anchor of Franklin’s downtown community for generations.

It's always a good time at The Historic Artcraft Theater. Regardless if you are seeing a movie or attending a event. We have enjoyed each classic movie we have seen at the theater. The atmosphere is fun, and the snacks are delicious. The popcorn from a local farm is some of the best you can get at a movie theater. Tripple X (XXX) Root Beer is available from the fountain. The Historic Artcraft Theater has been maintained and well preserved. It's a great place for family entertainment or for a date.

Brown County Winery is a delightful gem that offers an impressive selection of wines, making it a must-visit for any wine enthusiast. Guests are treated to six complimentary samples, which is a rare find these days and adds to the overall experience. The tasting room boasts ample seating both indoors and on the charming outdoor patio, perfect for enjoying a bottle of chilled wine while soaking in the beautiful scenery—especially stunning during fall.
Cute spot that has fabulous wine! I really enjoyed the Autumn White and the Vignoles, and if you like fruit wines then you'll love the ones they have here. Complimentary tastings too which is such a nice perk! Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

What a lovely hidden gem tucked away in the scenic beauty of Nashville, Indiana. Brown County Winery offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. We stopped in during a casual visit and were greeted by a wonderfully friendly staff member who made our entire tasting experience feel like catching up with an old friend. One of the most pleasant surprises? They don’t charge for tastings! You can sample up to six wines, and the selection was both varied and delightful. I tend to prefer sweeter wines, but I ended up purchasing three bottles that leaned more semi-sweet—each with its own. I, absolutely raved about their bourbon barrel, aged port and walked away with three bottles of my own. Beyond the wine, the shop is stocked with all kinds of wine-related accessories, local treats, cheeses, and charming gifts. It’s the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time just browsing and chatting. The prices were more than reasonable, and the quality was excellent. Though we visited in early spring, I can imagine how beautiful it must be in the summer—sipping wine on a patio surrounded by the rolling hills of Brown County. This is definitely a spot we plan to revisit, ideally when we can linger longer, maybe enjoy a picnic or a slow afternoon outdoors. If you’re wine tasting through southern Indiana, Brown County Winery is a must-stop. Friendly people, great wine, and the kind of vibe that makes you want to come back again and again.

Truly a hidden gem, yes there are many options for winery's on the main strip, but this was WELL worth the less than 5 minute detour. Wine was priced incredibly well, very excited to try it. The staff there were very friendly. You could see some of the machines used to make the wine from the tasting room, which was very neat. The outdoor patio was a beautiful place to just sit and chat for a bit, with flowers, butterflies, and even humming birds to keep us company. Felt like something out of a movie more than anything!!

My wife and I stopped here on our way to Nashville recently and were very pleasantly surprised. We had the pleasure of being served by Zach, who was knowledgeable, attentive and super personable. He made our day! The wines we tried were very good, and the seating outside on the patio was pleasant, despite it being a very hot and muggy day. We were so glad we stopped in!

We came here Saturday as part of my sister's bach trip and a great time trying wines. Six samples for five dollars is a great deal, and the bottles are very fairly priced. The employees were very knowledgeable about the area and helped us with ideas for the rest of our day and evening. I recommend coming here for your wine needs and definitely try the blackberry!
Danielle G — Google review
I really enjoyed this place. First off great variety to try. Second they give you 6 free samples which is unheard of these days but I really appreciate that. There were very good about waiting on us even though it was crowded. Love the Blackberry wine if you like sweet wines. Definitely try the port wines if you like that style they were deliciously smooth and tasty with a kick. We were fortunate enough To be there on a sunny day so set on the porch and drank a bottle of chilled win. Great way to spend an afternoon. Reasonable prices for their wines just make it that much better. Weekends Definitely csn get crowded especially in nice weather.

This used to be a great brewery but they are not now. Beer selection has not grown over the years. Same old beer. Tropical Rodeo was a great Beer and now you never see it. It seems like they are just content to be a local brewery in Greenfield and not change or grow. Breweries now provide food and not just one choice. They have their standard beer but they develop and serve greater selection especially IPA's. Originally this was our favorite place. They had panni sandwiches, chips and dip, incorporated their beer into soup, ice cream. But the owner decided beer was more important than food. Wrong . People like to have options of food when they are drinking beer. Heck when the doors first opened they had arrangements with local restaurants,, sandwich shops and pizza wings that you could order and they would bring to your table . Sad the owner does not want more than a local bar in Greenfield. Because that is what he has a local bar with liquor and wine which is really not what a brewery should be about. Nothing has really changed from the last time we were there only dropping it to a local bar. I guess Greenfield does not have a local bar so now they do.

ALL of the beers are well crafted.. there is a flavor and style for everyone.. my favorite- The Barrel Aged.. strong but a kaleidoscope of flavors. Have a gourmet pizza while you are there too.

The deals and layout of this mall are amazing! Nice bathrooms and the shops are all close together for days that aren’t as sunny! I recommend making this a staple before school shopping and for all the things the elves need help making before that special December morning! Clean and friendly shopping is always a great day!

Lots of famous and exciting and premium stores here. The problem is that some of them aren't you premium. This is supposed to be an outlet mall but i've only seen outlet prices at less than half. It is worth a visit and you get good exercise but don't have high expectations.
Dave F — Google review
Many official branded stores, of course with luxury offers. But you don't wanna miss the spice shop and below five.
Risma C — Google review
The premium outlets have a multiple stores all under one roof and I knocked off a star as prices have become too high in the last 2 years. Attributing to various reasons it definitely isn’t as affordable as old times. The variety was good but wouldn’t say mind blowing. I am not sure if I will consider unless I get value for money
G F — Google review
Great mall that is easy to navigate. Easy to drive from one place to the next.
Daryl N — Google review
For an Outlet mall, thus is a decent size mall, especially for mid southern Indiana. They have a food diversity of stores and plenty of parking as long as you know that you can park in the very middle between all of the stores. The center parking area would be on the backside of all the center stores.
Dennis P — Google review
Blaise and I had some time to kill waiting for an appointment so we got started on Christmas gifts perfect weather for this type of shopping we didn't get to walk around to much but the stores we visited were pleasant I got 2 family members done 25 more to go.

Always try to make this a priority stop when on the road. Very easy parking for the RV, lots of shops to choose from - our faves are Nike and Under Armour. Several others get our money, too! Like the fun little rides for kids entertainment while the adults shop🙂. 6pm in a Saturday and it wasn't very busy at all. Shops close early or on-time. Be sure to leave time to hit the ones at the top of your list.

I freely admit that I am not really a gambler so I can't pass judgement on the quality of gaming. There is a pretty nice free drink service and places to sit down and enjoy your beverage near the Sidewalk Cafe. The SC is, in my opinion, too expensive and not very delicious. Regrettably, the buffet is long gone. It was one of the pleasures of a casino visit. I find the air conditioner turned up too high but I suspect that it must be done to keep the machines cooled. The background music is pretty good but at times, a bit too loud for my tastes. Finally, the staff is calm and professional but not all that cordial. Pro Tip The grounds and racetrack area are great for a nice stroll. For dining, you might consider the nearby McDonald's for a cheap meal or go into Shelbyville to try out the outstanding Cow Palace.

The casino is easy to find, right off the main road. It seems really big from the outside. Theres table games, slot machines, high limit room, few places inside to eat, a self serve soft drink/coffee station, a cashier booth and players card booth. If course bars to. Only a few ticket casher machines. There was quite a few machines that were down, off, or not working. Just like most casinos (especially the ones owned by Caesars) not alot of wins or free spins and I bounced around and played many different ones. Plenty of outside parking and garage parking that was very full. Overall it's not bad nor great just somewhere to go and press your luck. Oh, the bar drinks are pricey a jack n coke is $9.00

I have been here several times and for the most part had a good experience although I have found that the majority of dealers at the black jack tables are not friendly. What I mean by friendly is somewhat of a positive attitude not just dealing in a rush. . Almost like they hate their jobs. Each dealer is a different experience. Tonight was a total poor experience . The entire crew seemed to be new and unfortunately only one had a positive reaction with the people at the tables I played. I was there 5 hours and only 2 times was I able to get a drink at the table . The restrooms were a mess. No towels in containers, leaks in urinals and urine all over the floors. Slow service at the small restaurant. This is my first experience with such a poor atmosphere. I gave it 4 based on past experiences as well. If I gave it based on this experience it would be very low. I love coming here and will give it an another visit and hope it was just an off day. I don’t go just to win I go to enjoy the people and atmosphere.

Love the place took me awhile to learn to come out a little on top of the game,I enjoy playing the slots, and getting all the perks free slot play, meals, and all types of gifts, having fun and relaxing but most of all I love hitting a occasional Jackpot, or going home ahead with a Little chunk of $. But hate donating to the damn place. can't go giving all your cash away, and go broke, take their money and keep yours , you play the game don't let the game play you. Know when to hold them and when to fold them , if the bell's aren't ringing and spins not hitting move on . I don't do to bad very much, but have had bad days and couldn't hit any bonuses, which sucks ! But also stuck $20 in a slot beating $1. - $2. a spin and hit a bonus on the second or third spin ,for some good cash . Just don't take more money with you than you can afford to lose.my best advice is leave credit and debit cards at home . I learned my lesson that is for sure.

A nice place for children to play and be active. We liked the place, the interior design, the natural lighting, and the sound insulation from the outside noise. There are two juice and ice cream shops. I advise you to visit it. It is nice and organized, and there is a person in charge of the place.✨

The museum seems to be geared more toward older kids (4-12) than toddlers. not a complaint just a heads up. we took our toddler (one and a half) and he still had plenty to see and do and they even offer a small corner for toddlers. I do think, however, it would’ve been more enjoyable for him had he been a bit older. The play area across the street is a different story. We absolutely love the indoor playground and it’s so nice that it’s free to the public! There are little food and drink places as well that are super convenient for grabbing a little snack. I will say, since it’s free to the public, sometimes there’s some shenanigans from rowdy kids that you have to deal with but other than that it’s such a great gift to the community!!

I didn't know there was a parking garage, hence my last review. Foynd it this time and it was so cheap and the attendee was great when we lost our ticket 🤦‍♀️ We come to visit family from Ga and our littles love this place. Its the best thing for kids to do in 3 counties that we have discovered thus far. It doesn't cost a ton of $$ for kids is a must have nowadays! We will continue to visit. I'd love to see a café for kids that's actually food tho inside. All in all 8/10 !

This place is amazing! Kids will be in heaven! So much place to run, play, and climb. It was very clean and the equipment was in great condition. We were only visiting, but I wish we had a place like this at home. My son didn’t want to leave. It wasn’t very busy when we went, which was nice. I can see it becoming crowded when there are a lot of people. They were a few restaurants on the other side of the play space. It’s perfect for rainy afternoons or play dates.

Downtown large windowed place that is great for taking small kids, as they have a huge, but safe looking, play ground area, and there are normally several other children playing there at any given time too. So great social interaction and a way to wear them out so they sleep better, ha. And it's all free to use. The rest of the building has small office areas, tables, desks, computers, art work, and several places to get a tasty bite to eat. This is a very nice, modern, well kept place to go with kids in downtown Columbus. It's walking distance to many other shops, bars, and eateries too.

Restaurant
Zaharakos is a renowned ice cream parlor that dates back to 1909, featuring homemade ice cream and a classic American menu. The interior is adorned with carved oak, stained glass, and Tiffany-style lamps, creating an old-world atmosphere. The establishment also houses a museum showcasing its rich history. Guests can enjoy the exquisite decor and unique dining experience with mechanical jukeboxes.
This is a great old fashioned ice cream parlor. The atmosphere was very nostalgic. Our family shared a Big Z Sundae and some sodas from their soda fountain. For the Big Z Sundae you can choose five different scoops of ice cream and three different sauces, whipped cream and cherries were included. The ice cream was creamy, smooth, and flavorful. We included Cookies & Cream, Birthday Cake, Chocolate, Strawberry, and Vanilla. Our chosen toppings were hot fudge, caramel, and marshmallow. It made for a very delicious and delightful treat on a hot day for our family. Our choices from the soda fountain were Green River (Lime), Cola, and Red Raspberry. All were very delicious. We can't wait to go back.

Very cool old fashioned ice cream parlor! The wait was long, but they seemed to be very busy at the time so it was understandable. Nice sized servings of very delicious ice cream! Will be bringing the kids back again for the fun experience.

This gem downtown has been a staple of Columbus for over 100 years! This is my second time visiting and we were not disappointed. Ice cream is really good and you can't beat the old time atmosphere or the music machines you can play songs on for less than a dollar. They also offer a limited food menu along with the ice cream. I did not have any food on this visit but it smelled really good when other customer's food came out. Facility is bright and clean but very busy. They offer clean and well lit bathrooms. Staff is kind but were perhaps understaffed. Wait times were long even on a non holiday weekday afternoon. To ease this congestion, they offer text alerts via a free app download. That way you can continue shopping and just come back later and not miss reservation time. Overall great location, nostalgic building and machines, fun atmosphere, delicious desserts, and helpful staff. Just don't come by if you're in a hurry.

My family and I ordered carryout, but the experience was disappointing. The staff seemed very unorganized — receipts were scattered all over the place, items were being made multiple times for the same order, and ice cream was left melting on the counter. One worker even took something that had been made for another customer and used it for themselves. On top of that, the general manager stopped employees from making ice cream to discuss where she was going, which slowed everything down even more. The whole process felt chaotic and unprofessional. I really hope management can work on improving organization and focus.

We came here for the ice cream and drinks, but decided to stay for the food. I mist say, the food was a disappointment. Everything was extremely salty, especially the fries, which went pretty much untouched by everyone in our group. We really enjoyed the ice cream and drinks, though. The atmosphere and service were excellent! Our server was very friendly and helpful with all of our questions.

Waited over an hour at the bar AFTER placing our ice cream order. Watching the staff make the ice cream treats, they look good when they make them but the work area isnt great to see what they left behind. Our server Liz ended up making our ice cream and was amazing!

The ice cream is good and fresh, but I think the experience of being in this amazing building is what really drew us here. We love the history of the business and are happy we got a chance to come.

Great staff! Very polite and courteous. Food is great 👍! You will not leave hungry. Ice-cream to die for. One scoop will do!
