I recently checked out Serendip Sanctuary and I have to say, it’s a pretty cool spot if you’re into nature and a relaxed day out. The first thing I noticed was how easy it was to find parking – there’s a ton of space so you don’t have to stress about where to leave your car. The walking trails are varied, making it fun whether you’re up for a short stroll or a longer hike. I even spotted some kangaroos and lots of different birds especially Emus. The park also made sure to cover the basics for everyone. There are disability-friendly toilets and sheltered barbecue spots, which are perfect for a casual picnic or a small get-together. I appreciated the fresh water stations scattered around too – super handy on a sunny day. It all adds up to a very welcoming and laid-back vibe. Its a hidden gem that’s both accessible and full of natural beauty. It might not be the most fancy place around, but sometimes you just want a spot where you can unwind, enjoy some wildlife, and have a nice, simple day outdoors. I’d definitely recommend giving it a go if you’re in the area. Handy Tip: Take some bin bags for rubbish.

First time visit , there were workman present building new infrastructure, the majority of paths were in good condition. Lots of bird life and the hides were well maintained, I was disappointed in the lack of native animals I believe there were more in the past, we saw 3 wallaby’s, it’s quite a large area so it could accommodate more of our native animals , especially as it is advertised as a sanctuary and there is less land available for wildlife. Overall a peaceful walk, some nice areas for a byo picnic. Toilets available in the car park area.

It was pretty empty, we enjoyed 30 minutes without seeing a single person, just us the animals and the wind. Very unexpected on a Sunday during the day. Also love that these are short walks and you can't get lost and feel safe. I managed to do all loops with my 20 months old toddler. We saw geese, emus, wallabies and many birds. Best thing, it's free!

Plenty of wildlife, including a wide variety of birds, kangaroos, and emu. Easy walks. Highly recommended for a family trip.

Great place to come and visit. Picnic area near carpark with chairs, tables and bbqs available. A few walk ways around which were all sign posted. Seen a few animals around. Plenty of birds around too. Closes at 4pm. Well worth a visit.

Went to this amazing place again for the first time in a while now in 2025. Such an easy place to get to, park, wander around. The bird hide is outstanding and the Cape Barren Geese where having wonderful squabbles all over the place. A delight to experience. Wheelchair and bicycle accessible, don't miss out on a great nature experience... and then go to the You Yangs too!!!

Our flight landed in Melbourne early and with a short walk to the pickup point was fantastic. A Starbus Shuttle was on hand already with a space for 4 people but we had 5 so the driver rang the office for another bus which arrived 5 minutes later. The service we received on pickup was excellent and recommend Starbus Shuttle Cheers Malcolm

After reading the not so great reviews on this page i was rather skeptical about using this service on recent trip to Melbourne. I am so glad we did...we were picked up about 15 minutes after calling when we arrived. Then on return trip the driver was waiting for us at our hotel right on time. I would recommend this service and will be defiantly using again. Thanks Starbus.

They provide door to door service. Their punctual, economical, the drivers are always helpful with your luggage. Our driver today provided us some great ideas for places to visit while here in Melbourne. Not only is that driver great for Starbus his great for Melbourne tourism and visitors. We highly recommend them.

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. I have been using this company for the past 6 years and I did not have any issues at all.. Until I made a booking and I was told they would arrive between 12:45 pm-1:05 pm. I met the driver at 12:45 pm and asked politely if he can wait for me while I take my luggage out. I was out at 12:50 pm, and I could not find the bus anymore. They left me and charged me $27. I called up to ask if they can reverse the charge as the driver clearly told me that he would wait for me. Anyway, they hanged up on me and still charged me $27. What a great way to boost your profit and operate your business. All the people I know will not be using this company too anymore. Too rude and no manners.

I received a cancellation after payment was made when I was already on my way to the informed pick up location. Please refrain from trying to use this service unless you have time to book it at least 24 hours in advance. I don't think I would be your only customer to try and book a shuttle on the same day of my flight. It would be great if you could invest in a system which stops customers from making same day reservations if this is how you prefer to operate. There are many systems offering this solution these days which saves a lot of headache for both parties. I'm extremely disappointed with the experience I had today and the agent even made fun of my comment regarding the review I was looking to post. I really hope Starbus takes this seriously and invest in a better solution for people travelling to Melbourne.

I had a fantastic experience with Starbus Shuttle! When I got to Melbourne, I called them and the operator was nice and gave me instructions on how to get where the shuttle was at. I was also able to get to my hotel safe and fast. Our driver, Allan, was friendly and such a good navigator.

Couldn't rate this service low enough- poor drivers, always late, unprepared, predatory pricing, vehicles probably unroadworthy. Just don't. I booked with Con-X-ion but got sub contracted out to these hopeless excuses. They advertise departures "average" of every 15 minutes - I waited 30 minutes before a bus came and dropped off but would not pick up anyone and left. Waited another 20 minutes before a bus came willing to take us but had no pre booking information despite all three groups booking in advance All in a rubbish vehicle nothing like what is advertised - looked like they pulled it off the street in a shanty town. Trip back I booked an extra hour early to be safe and was still nearly missed my flight. Worse bus and overloaded. Driver was friendly but he was obviously booked to capacity from all over Melbourne so too many stops meant more delays, 45 minutes late for pick up and still 3 more stops before we could head to the airport. Woeful Wife unfortunately was already booked a month or two after me and had an almost identical experience. Avoid at all costs

Didn't show up at the airport to transfer us to our accommodation. Tried to phone but no answer. Tried emailing and no reply. This was all very stressful so would not recommend anyone booking with this company. Stream Shuttles also refuse to refund and we paid a lot of money for this service. It is all a big con.

I am trying to be fair, they said on receipt will pick up between 7.45 to 8.05am. according to phone log, they called me at 7.43am, I immediately returned the call 7.43am and said they were out the front, within 1 or max 2 minutes I then came to the front of my hotel and no one here, so I waited out the front for a few minutes then called, he said he left and will come back, a minute or so later at 7.54am I then get a message saying wont come back. so I called both mobile and office who won't reply. Suggest anyone not use nor book with the only airport kiosk either, use another company who is also a couple of $ cheaper. As before I checked on line price was $36 return to and from Docklands, where at kiosk was more expensive, only $4 more but ok. now regret. Next time best to book online with another not Stream. Ended up getting Ola taxi only $32

They phoned us with directions to pick up point whilst we were picking up our baggage and they were so polite and very courteous!! Would recommend them! A must to confirm your booking as with all travel arrangements! 😊😊😊

Booked a return transfer to airport and 20 minutes before pick I called to find out booking had been over looked and no one was on their way to collect us. I was advised to catch a taxi instead. Driver offered to meet us at airport to pay the difference and when I arrived driver was not there before I boarded my flight. Would never use again.

We ordered this service through wotif, and had the same situation as all other reviews. No one turns up and no one answers the phone, wotif couldn't get a hold of them either but refused to refund the money. This is a complete scam!

It had been a very long time since my last visit to the water park, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, this time was truly more fun, absolutely fantastic, and genuinely amazing! It was completely different from my last experience. The rides were exhilarating, the atmosphere was vibrant, and I made some fantastic memories. I hope to enjoy the attraction again in the future!

Pleasantly surprised by the upkeep of the park. Good mix of wet and dry rides. Plenty of picnicking options. Would recommended taking your own food as super expensive onsite. Showers and changing rooms very clean. Went off peak and there were no lines.

came on a monday and park wasn’t busy that busy, except there was a bit of waiting at the bigger rides. i spent a last day with my bf here before going on a 3 month long trip overseas and was some of the best fun i had in months. the only thing is that it’s fairly far out to a lot of places, being in whittlesea, tickets are also somewhat pricey

When we went there it was temporarily closed because 17 schools were there but other than that it was pretty cool. Would love to come back here again. And the food was served was pretty delicious

We were meant to celebrate my son’s birthday at the park last weekend, but unfortunately the weather had other plans. I just wanted to share how impressed I was with the team for making the call to cancel the day before, it was thoughtful, proactive and really appreciated. Zac was so lovely on the phone and very professional. We’ve been to Funfields are few times over the years and can’t wait to re-book my son’s party and get back there when the weather is better. Highly recommend.

The new addition of the Lazy River, bumper cars and VIP Huts really add a whole new dimension to this park ! The Huts are well worth the extra money - it felt so private and comfortable with lounges and even a fridge to keep the drinks cold ! The shade and the location really do make them priceless. Kids can’t wait to go back again 🥰

It was great day with kids , plenty of parking , great seats and tables inside the theme park , take your own food and drink , spent the whole day picnic and play, should definitely visit again when open for next season

Always an incredible experience! I've been coming here for 10 years and my mum did before me with her parents too. Staff are lovely, horses are gorgeous and the whole atmosphere is magical!

Was a very good experience, horses are docile, staffs are friendly and supportive. Boots, jackets, bum bags provided. Wild animals could be seen, kangaroos, rabbits, and even peacock. Strongly recommend to take the 3 hour ride, 2 hours definitely not enough to find your fun.

Great fun day. This was an anniversary present. The horses are great and well looked after. Lots of parking. They can supply bum bags, boots and helmets. Your welcome to take you own. The start took roughly an hour to get everyone on there horses, so be prepared to sit on them for a while. Abit of paper work to do at the start. Nice little trails through the bush. We picked the 3 hour afternoon ride. We got to stop at a little house on the hill overlooking everywhere, we had coffee, cordial and biscuits. With a much needed toilet break. People were helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience! It was a present for my fiancé’s birthday, and we loved it! It was my first horse ride, so I was a bit nervous, but all the staff were very friendly and helpful. In our group, we had a mother and daughter as our coaches. They shared stories with us, which made our riding experience even more special. We will be back ❤️lovely!

Was an amazing experience, the people working there are so kind. We had never ridden horses before, but the team made it easy to learn. There’s the option to be picked up from Wallan Station making it easy with PTV.

Where do I begin? Wonderful day out for my friends birthday. I was paired with ANZAC(the horse) who was a well mannered gentleman throughout the ride. We were hot to trot and saw a roo, a bunny and an echidna.

This was one of the best experiences I had... I went on the 3-hour trail ride and the staff there made sure everyone was given horses according to their ability and made sure everyone was comfortable with them.... The staff were just lovely - they talked to each one of us and asked about if we were comfortable or not. The way the staff handled beginner riders and experienced riders separately was so good. they made sure that the beginners were sent first and the experienced to canter behind them. I would go this place every 2 weeks from now on cause the pricing for this 3 hour ride was worth every penny of the experience.

A good place to visit with young kids, as they get to enjoy seeing their story book characters come to life. My daughter who's 4 years old absolutely enjoyed it. Plenty room supplied for packed lunches. There is a small cafe but not much variety for food options. Stroller friendly but a hike as you walk through the attractions to the top.

We had an enchanting day at Fairy Park with our kids! The princess-themed fairy tales and attractions were a huge hit with the little ones. The park was well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The kids loved the interactive experiences, and we enjoyed the nostalgic feel of classic fairy tales brought to life. The food options were suitable for families, and the play areas were clean and safe. Overall, Fairy Park is a great place for families with young children who love princesses and fairy tales. We can't wait to come back and explore more!

I was amazed how well they have maintained the place since it's been around for more than 60 years! Highly recommend it especially for kids who grew up reading and watching fairy tales like Snow White, Pinnochio. Jack and the Beanstalk and much more. As an adult, it's a walk down memory lane :) I think we loved it as much as the kids did! It was a slow uphill walk with many stops and things to see, so we didn't really felt it. Easily you could spend 2-3 hours here. Priced $26 for adults and $14 for ages 3-16. Reasonable to me.

An amazing place to visit! Very beautiful and we'll kept. The kids absolutely loved hearing and seeing all the fairytales. We took the pram in with us, and it really was too bad! It is very steep on some spots, so being muscle power.

Fairy Park in Anakie is a magical spot for kids! The fairytale characters and story displays are so well done, and our kids loved exploring and spotting their favourites. A fun, safe, and imaginative day out for families.

This place is a wild ride. It was a rainy day and decided to go for a drive and came across this gem of a place. Has been around for a long time but the displays are timeless. Great playground for the kids.

So so so beautiful. One of my favourite hikes I’ve been on since I started hiking. The weather was amazing. The hike was relatively challenging, with a few rocky bits, but was very much worth it.

It’s one of the most beautiful places to visit in Victoria, perfect for any sunny day, whether in summer or winter. Some sections can be challenging, with slippery rocks and small areas where you need to lean on the rocks and hold a rope, so it’s not suitable for everyone—especially young children or the elderly. Definitely worth visiting, and I’d happily go again.

Beautiful walk through the Werribee gorge. The weather was on our side! Great challenges, and amazing views and scenery throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed the river walk and the beach area was excellent for a lunch stop. Highly recommend to take your time and enjoy this little bit of nature.

It was a very interesting trail comprises of walk by the beautiful stream, narrow cliff side walk, crossing huge rocks with rope support, uphill and downhill, beaches to swim. We in our 60s took approximately 4hrs to complete the Waribee Curcuit with stops for photo-taking.. we all had enjoyed the trail. Yes the anticlockwise could be a better direction to have the cliff narrow path and crossing the big rocks with rope support at the end of the trail..Strongly recommended.

I've walked both the short circuit and long and neither are overly difficult hikes. There are a couple of long steeper sections on both trails but nothing that will kill you. Slow and steady. Signage is ok. Could be better. But trail is pretty easy to identify without the signs. Although id still recommend having a digital or paper map with you as a backup. Not an overly scenic trail though. The nicest part is to the south along the creek. The majority of the trail is though the middle of the bush so not many lookouts along the way. Parking and toilet provisions are good. 3.5 stars because of the lack of scenery and the noise from the freeway on the northern end is a bit of a downer.

A fantastic place. Even on a grey, rainy day! Lots of options for trails too for different levels of trekkers. Easy or hard as you like. The low track runs along the creek (where we took a freezing but liberating dip) with a section you can climb across, which was good fun. We didn’t spot any koalas but apparently it’s known for a lot of sightings. Tip: park in bottom car park so you don’t finish your trek and have to walk uphill to get to your car!

amazing trail, lots of different walking options for different fitness levels and the picnic areas and nicely sectioned away from the trail. giving minus one star because the lookout point circuit is a little confusing. If you make it to the top, be mindful of signs.

Gisborne Peak (Winery) Is not a Winery no Wine is produced on the premises The grapes are sent to Hanging Rock Winery and the wine is bottled there. This so called Winery is in a residential area and infringes on the people that live in the area It has been closed for nearly a year. With renovations and building done without council approval. It is an eye sore with the nets from last season's crop laying on the ground between the vines. The place should be closed permanently.

My parents were gifted a wekend away here so I booked too luckly I did because my parents are old school. There was no check in instruction sent too the emails we arrived around 5ish, had too ring for which rooms whos? Our room was warm heater was on, Parents was freezing 🥶 the heat was not working he said it take 10 minutes warm up No then found out it was the wrong room so moved them too another, so my dad just waited in mine till there's warmed up, they had no internet q code, luckly ours did, expired yougart in fridge, bacon and bread and eggs beautiful. The cabins not too bad property untidy the roads too cabins broken branches on road needs alot of Care too the property looks abandoned we had booked for 2 night we stayed 1 night left next day.

Tony & myself do travel quite extensively & would not hesitate to recommend your facility to our friends & family & the wider community via the below mentioned platforms. Although this was our first time staying at your facility it will most certainly not be our last. Congratulations on managing such a wonderful facility that deserves all of the accolades & awards received to date & beyond.

We had the pleasure of staying at Gisborne Peak Winery and were greeted by very lovely smiles and service given by Linny and Lynn in the restaurant. They went above and beyond to let us know of local experiences, things to do and places to visit. The food was also very delicious and well priced. We were soon given our keys to the accommodation, which was set up very average at most. There were a few things that need revamping and work, but we did enjoy our short and sweet stay and didn’t let us bother us too much. We would definitely be back for the restaurant!

Came here on a weekday. Nice quiet winery. Service was amazing. Lovely lady who served us and even offered to take photo for us. The wine was superb and serving portion was generous. We also had the chocolate lava cake which was gooey and delicious! Place was cozy. Would highly recommend to friends and family

We went for Sunday lunch and reserved a table over the web. The cafe is situated in lovely area and quaintly decorated. We Ordered the large grazing platter and a wood fried pizza to share. The food was delicious, the Turkish bread and the pizza were really yummy. Food price was on the high side though. The pizza was small but priced at $22. The coffee was good. The staff were friendly and served with a smile. Onsite unisex toilets. Plenty of parking. No split bills. There are cottages to rent on site as well.

Randomly chose this place with my husband on a day trip to Gisborne with 2 family members from England and New Zealand. We chose the large sharing platter and a bottle of wine recommended by our hostess Lynn. The food and wine did not disappoint. The atmosphere was warm and inviting even though cold outside. The service from Lynn was exceptional. We plan to visit again with more family to enjoy. Thank you Lynn for your service with a smile.

A great display providing details and insights on the Vietnam War, a number of military items on display, worth a stop to visit and read all the panels of information.

A nice walk in the nature, there’s lots of trees and park benches. The walk looks quite new especially the bins, benches, and water tap. There’s lots of information to read up on the history of Australia’s participation in the Vietnam war. You can take the time to remember the lives and efforts of all the people and dogs who fought in the war. There’s many in depth explanations of Australia’s operations in Vietnam, and there are ranks and military weapons displayed.

This is undoubtedly a place steeped in mystique, definitely worth a visit. It reveals a story that took place in 1900, when a group of children from a boarding school were visiting this mountain. Four girls decided to explore the rock on their own. One of them got scared and returned to the other children. Three girls continued on their way, soon joined by their maths teacher. Eventually, they went missing. One girl was found shortly after, but she couldn't explain what had happened. After the investigation begins, a series of tragic incidents and suicides occur! It’s chilling! Visiting the mountain can be challenging for people with disabilities. However, they can still feel the full power of this place, the power of this rock, from below! Before the climb to the rock, there is a museum dedicated to this story. This place truly evokes a certain sense of fear, especially if you learn about the history before starting the ascent.

Perfect spot for a relaxing full-day escape! Loved spending the whole day here — the flat-rate parking makes it super convenient, no need to worry about time. There are plenty of picnic areas with great shade and clean facilities. The walking and hiking trails are beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature and fresh air. Perfect place to unwind, have lunch with friends, or just enjoy a quiet solo day outdoors. Highly recommend bringing a picnic mat and snacks!

Magical! We were lucky to do it when it was a low traffic day. I got no other tourists in my photos. We didn't get held up by slow walkers it was a beautiful 20° day clear sky sun out. Magical. I suggest taking a small picnic lunch up and having it at the top. Beautiful! Oh and make sure you at least go on the stairs track. That's where the magic is!

Great place for a short family hike. Takes 20 min to reach the top. Good facilities for a picnic with BBQ. Cost 15$ for car access.

An absolute gorgeous place to go for a weekend hike, complete with a fantastic cafe for a bite afterwards. Worth avoiding hot days though, climbing the may be challenging for some people.

Nice place to visit with family if you would like to have a short walk with nice landscape view. However, car entry ticket price is $15 which seems to be bit overprice compared to what park has to offer. Its one time go place though...

If I could live at Edgar’s mission, I would. The love and care they provide to the animals there is inspiring. I would highly recommend the premium tour to everyone! Reminder that animals are friends not food 🫶🏼🌱

Enjoyable, informative tour by fabulous staff, with the opportunity to meet the gorgeous animals including Chris the pig, Hamish & Andy the donkeys and Tim Tam the goat! Thank you to all the kind people involved with running such a fantastic sanctuary! There’s also great hikes & wineries close by to the property & the tiny house is super lovely, so stay for longer than a day visit if you can!

First time visiting Edgar's Mission. First of all, the weather was terrible, which was a shame. It never once stopped raining the entire tour. Emma, our tour guide was very knowledgeable. I wish we could have fed some more animals and were able to roam freely around the grounds ourselves. It's still a beautiful place to visit. They do great work and I will visit again!!

Loved our tour of the sanctuary with Daniel. The immensity of the love and respect Edgar’s Mission show to all animals was super moving. An amazing place doing incredibly noble work. The animals all have the most beautifully kept homes and rolling paddocks and it was so nice to get to join them and interact. Got kissed on the lips a LOT by Trapper John 🐐💋 Very inspired and hopeful to become a volunteer one day.

Highly recommend volunteering if you get the chance! I attended one of the Helping Hands days and had a great time, though it is reasonably hard work (if you're not used to farm work!). So lovely to be a part of helping their beautiful residents stay comfortable and happy.

This is one of my favourite places and I’ve loved every visit. This was my first stay in one of their Tiny Houses (we were in Edgar’s Cottage) and can genuinely say it was one of the most peaceful and soul filling weekends I’ve had in a while. The stay included a 90min tour (our tour guide was Lauren and she was fantastic), the ability to wander the farm and interact with the beautiful rescued animals was heaven. Each with their own story, worthy of telling. The houses are exactly as the name reflects and it totally works. Friends stayed next door (Timmy’s Villa) which was equally adorable. The interiors are beautifully thought out and little touches with the decors (themed to suit their namesakes) topped it off. It was awesome to be able to spend the weekend on this incredible place. Running in to Pam and Ruby was the perfect way to finish off a brilliant weekend. Thankyou! If you aren’t able to stay, make sure you at least get up there for one of their tours!

Beautiful gardens. Recommend to take the scenic drive around the property first. Signs are located as soon as you drive in. It will bring you up to a carpark. Perfect place to take in the views, have a picnic, or short stroll to the wonderful cafe. Allow yourself a few hours or plan the day. Public Toilets are available. Beautiful walking trails amongst the trees, gorgeous unique flowers. Highly recommend the cafe for a bite and coffee.

Lovely little walk with magnificent trees and flowers along the way to a yummy cafe which located on the grounds. My son loves to climb the tower and taking photos of almost every tree there. We are visiting this place several times a year at different seasons of school holidays.

Beautiful spot for a walk around the lake. It took us about an hour with three kids in tow (one in pram). It's reasonably pram friendly, however, be mindful of extremely steep hills! There's a couple of them. The playground is fully fenced, which is a massive bonus!

Stunning lake. Great walking tracks. Well kept areas. But the little coffee place is terrible. The wait was ridiculous and I wouldn't think you could muck up making a peppermint tea.

Within walking distance of town, Lake Daylesford is a man-made lake that was built in the 1930’s. On arrival, early in the morning, a mist was rising from the water. The picturesque lake offers a ‘peace mile’ walking track which is almost 3 k’s long. There is also plenty to do here, swimming, fishing and birdwatching. There is a playground, paddleboats (but I don’t think they have seen much action for a while) BBQ’s and table and chairs. Food, coffee and comfort facilities onsite too. Well worth a visit if you are in town

If you’re heading to Daylesford and think you’ll just “pop in” to the Mill Market—think again. I had to physically usher my mum and sister out after hours of wandering, because we could’ve happily spent the whole day there. This place is a treasure trove. Yes, the vintage wares are incredible—retro furniture, vinyl records, quirky knick-knacks—but it’s not just a nostalgia fest. There’s modern giftware, a garden section with charming outdoor pieces, and even a cozy little café for when your legs give out from browsing. There are toilets on site. One moment I was admiring vintage crystal ware, the next I was face-to-face with a shelf of ventriloquist dolls that were equal parts fascinating and creepy. (Seriously, they looked like they had stories to tell—and not all of them wholesome.) Whether you’re a collector, a curious wanderer, or just someone who loves a good rummage, the Mill Market is a must. Just be warned: time disappears in there.

This second-hand market is absolutely incredible — probably the largest in all of Victoria, even bigger than the one in Geelong! 🏺 Every section is so well organized, and you can easily spend an entire day wandering around discovering treasures. From antique furniture and vintage clothes to rare collectibles, there’s just so much to explore. The atmosphere is relaxed yet full of life, with friendly stall owners and lots of hidden gems waiting to be found. Whether you’re a serious collector or just love browsing unique finds, this place is an absolute must-visit when you come to Daylesford. Trust me, you won’t leave empty-handed — or disappointed!

Full of many treasurers . Lots of books, furniture, bric a brac , anything you can imagine. Great outdoor garden nursery full of plants and other surprises.

We visited these aptly named markets 7 years ago in 2018 and we had to revisit again. Being from Perth, WA - we don’t have anything that remotely resembles these incredible markets. So much variety and such quirkiness. We only had 2 hours here but easily spend a couple of days going through everything. We were concerned Our 2 young teenage boys wouldn’t last half an hour but even they found interest and lasted 1.5 hours before they got bored and wanted out. Thankfully the cafe onsite managed to placate them for a tad longer (although the sausage roll did take 20 minutes…) but their nougat made up for it and was amazing! Love the Eiffel Tower and gorilla out front! Will try to squeeze in another visit before we head home.

I have never been anyplace quite like this. I could spend all day and still have not explored all their is to see.

Drive to the end of the road and walk. You can enjoy the viaduct. Historic place. But nothing else to do around there. Don’t make the mistake of taking your car down. You can get it up, but not recommended. It’s a 30sec walk anyway!

Amazing to see the Viaduct up close – a little bit of old-world European engineering close to Melbourne. The stones are surprisingly large, so is the whole structure. Kids loved climbing all the way down to the water. There was a train that went along the top, we could hear it but not see it from the bottom.

Mixed reaction here. Pools and spa were great, but there wasn't really enough space for the volume of people. One pool for basic entry, pay extra for the other 3 pools and sauna. Per earlier the pools are beautiful: fresh, different temps, one with beds to lie in the water, very clean facilities. But the pools themselves fit about 10 ppl in before you're feeling crowded, which took away from the relaxation side of things. Recommended trying it to see if it works for you.

Disappointing experience. I have been wanting to come here for years and it was such a let down. The communal space is too small for the volume of people they allow in at a given time. It's advertised as a relaxation haven, but instead it had more of a local pool feel. There were too many children splashing around and jumping in. We visited off peak too. I'm a mother myself and am positive towards allowing children in, but perhaps have an adults only section that doesn't cost double the price. The staff assume you have been before and were vague and disinterested. There were no cups at the hydrating station and no lifeguards/staff to be seen to ask if they could refill them. The only positives are the tranquil setting, nestled deep in Hepburn and the bathrooms are clean and well stocked with essentials. Save your money and go to Peninsula Hot Springs instead. Same price and way better value for money.

Very disappointed with this experience! Do not recommend it at all! Very overpriced for what they got to offer! Water temperature was just like the local swimming pool. Only 1 slightly larger and 1 small pool to choose from. No outdoor spa, no cold plunge pool. Paid $60 for the same experience that could have been much less to go to a public swimming pool, not relaxing, not hot at all. Only 1 change room for male and female together! It was ridiculously awkward and weird! The conditioner bottle was totally empty, it shows that no one maintain or clean the area for days. I'm just glad that I only wasted $60 without choosing any other package as they can't even uphold the most basic general experience.

Unfortunately disappointed in my experience here. You are paying a pretty large fee for use of what is in effect 1 heated pool and 1 hot tub that due to the large volume of people they allow access to at one time doesn’t allow for a calming or relaxing experience. Whilst I respect the decision to allow children access I do feel it would be appropriate to have an adult only of child friendly zone. In comparison to other bath house experience I’ve had for a similar price point I’ve found this one lack luster.

Well worth the trip to relax and enjoy this beautiful setting. Very friendly and welcoming staff added to the overall experience in the mineral spa. We didn’t stay in the hotel but had a pleasant experience in the spa. Thank you for having us

My sister and I had the most relaxing weekend away at Hepburn. We both started with a treatment at the spa, where we were treated to the best facial we've ever had. I have sensitive skin, so facials can be hit and miss, but none of the products irritated my skin, which was great. We then had a 90min bathing session, followed by a wander through the spa apothecary. Here, Michael was absolutely amazing, and helped us concoct our own bath scrub and bath soak. I can't rate this experience highly enough! The rest of our weekend was equally as relaxing, with a stay in one of the escape villas and dinner at a local restaurant. If you're in need of rejuvenation, Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa will not disappoint!

We had the most amazing weekend at the bathhouse. The room was beautiful! Staff were friendly and welcoming. The bathhouse pools and spas were glorious. I can not fault any part of our experience. We didn’t want to leave.

Not what I expected....only one food van which was Mexican and a pancake van. No atmosphere with hardly any people maybe because it was a really hot day and the stalls were starting to pack up with an hour to go before it closed. Not somewhere I would visit again in a hurry, pity because the town itself is very inviting and interesting.

Creswick Market took me by surprise on just how beautiful is was. Set amongst the grounds of a church, quite a large number of stalls were sprinkled through the leafy grounds on a warm autumnal morning. There was something for everyone here. Food, fresh produce, Knick knacks, crafts, handmade pickles and even a lovely stall selling products to support stray cats. The market is wheelchair accessible and kid friendly. Good parking across the road. Donation at entrance not compulsory but a nice gesture. Food available if you’re after a bite to eat or a cuppa. Bring your own reusable cup. Soak up everything that Creswick has to offer. Enjoy.

We came across this while passing through the town today, what a quaint and friendly market. There were a variety of stallholders including fresh fruits and vegetables, bakery items, handmade goodies and even a child's face painter. There was plenty of room for prams, dogs and bikes for little people and everyone was so incredibly friendly. Would highly recommend if you're visiting the region to take a look

Visited the Creswick Woolen Mill with my family and had a lovely experience. We paid $10 each to get up close and personal with the sheep, which was a highlight for all of us. The quick tour was informative, showcasing the old machinery and sharing the history of Creswick. The staff were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. There's also a shop on site with a range of products if you're interested in taking some home. Overall, a nice experience, especially for families or those interested in history and agriculture.

I’m here to thank the ever patient & helpful Sharon who worked so hard to help me. As a result, I have the 3 products needed to make a frail guest comfortable. She is so excited to have wool for her bed. In her words, ‘Wool! It’s so healthy, so natural’. Creswick produce high quality products- & I happily pay a fair price. The sales are a big help too. I know from experience that their products, well cared for, last years- my own children loved the warm sheepskins in their strollers in Canada’s severe cold years ago, sent by their Melbourne grandparents. So glad to have Creswick still going strong as we return to a more self sufficient economy. And so glad they have Sharon as such a great representative for the company. I was not an easy customer & she couldn’t have done more to help, or been any kinder. Thank you Creswick. Thank you Sharon.

This was a delightful find on our road trip, and we stopped in for a visit. There is a self guided tour that was informative of the beginnings and background of the business and some of their keys products and achievements. There is a farm experience for a small cost, which we didn’t have time for, and the shop itself has plenty of offerings such as possum, alpaca and merino wool products such as clothing, socks, scarves, gloves, blankets and bedding, and rugs. Prices reflect the nature of the product, but there are some good bargains which may be found. Staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Well worth a visit, or shop online.

Best thing to do here: see & feed the alpacas. Not so great: the goats and sheep that literally shove the alpacas out of the way so they can be fed. The alpacas are seriously the cutest, and nicest animals you can ever meet, plus they now have a covered area for visitors to feed them alpacas. Their shop sells a wide range of clothing and apparel, and quilts and other things. On the expensive side of the spectrum, but worth the quality. There is a cafe here, looks alright. It can get busy, very busy if there are (Chinese) tours that stop by here, so its best to visit when it isnt peak season, and during weekdays.

Covid has taken its toll on a lot of businesses and Creswick woolen mill is no exception. We went here for the animals and the tour for the kids but were disappointed to learn that the animals are no longer kept on the facilities. The machines in the factory were not working/switched on. The mill is a factory outlet and has a shop on premise. We found it to be very costly factory outlet. The onsite cafe was also closed :(. What could have been a great experience for the kids ended up to be a boring shopping store.

I'm very happy with their products and after-sale service. I recently ordered a Super King Fine Merino and a Queen Merino blanket. I'm very happy with the quality of both. An issue I had with the Queen blanket was immediately and very satisfactorily rectified when I contacted Creswick. I found their customer service to be very pleasant, very responsive and speaking to someone who is local is such a bonus these days. I will look to buy from Creswick again in the future.

A very colorful place, caused a lot of emotions, but I will say that I was impressed. Incredible amount of sculptures and art objects. The pictures were quite depressing, which created an atmosphere of isolation. In general, the museum is very interesting and large with patios. I think this is one of the most impressive places in the city. The only thing was that there was not enough information about the place and history, I would like that they would give out a brochure or there was a website with history.

Sensational, surreal, sexy, spooky and surprising, the Bromley Collection Museum at the Old Castlemaine Gaol is a must visit for all art aficionados. Kudos to David and Yuge for creating this whimsical wonderland. I had an amazing experience and can’t wait to return for more!

Love what Bromley has done to the place. Having visited the gaol on school camps in the 2000’s, was sad to see the site closed for such a long time. But now - wow, easily one of the most unique art galleries in the world.

A must see!!! From the outside the gaol looks to be an interesting place to check out. Once you go inside… it is amazing!!!! The art works collected inside from numerous well known artists is incredible. The art is displayed within the old gaol, which for me, lightened the atmosphere. The art provided a layer of inspiration, over the history of the gaol and it was interesting to learn about different artists on display. Well done for preserving the space and allowing the history to come through, definitely lightening the mood of the dire conditions of the historic gaol.

Impressive collection and sympathetic use of the Old Castlemaine Gaol. According to Google David Bromley (famous artist) purchased the building in 2018. He and his wife have transformed it into a great visitor attraction which I recommend visiting.

An ABSOLUTE MUST SEE if visiting Castlemaine - or a sufficient reason on its own to visit the town. David Bromley's collection is AMAZING. It is even more stunning in this truly unique space. Just GO!

Good place nice views...an amazing to be on a sunny day...staff is very friendly, it's built in a prison castle so can go for prison tour as well. I would like to see more food options there

Was a beautiful day for a walk with our dogs around the park. Some enjoyable little chats with others along the way. We really enjoyed soaking in the beautiful trees.

Visited the Castlemaine Botanical Gardens on the last day of Autumn and it was a magi al experience. There were a lot of colours still to see and the kids loved the play area. A must visit place and a lovely 1.5hr drive from Melbourne city.

Good track for a pram in wet weather, undercover area, playground and toilets close by. (DAS coffeehouse is very close, and very good) Plus some friendly ducks that like to follow you around.

Beautiful place. Went for a drive so my learner driver could get some experience and it was the perfect drive for it. Got to the gardens and it was a beautiful day beautiful scenery and a beautiful walk with the family and the dog. Was able to get some lunch first and sit at one of the many tables to eat.

A beautiful botanic Gardens for this lovely country town. Great playground for the kids. Bridges over a little creek, lots of flowers and beautiful big trees. Large areas under shade with also big open areas. Nice location too, though next to the train line... Kids love it, but it is slightly loud (think you'd get used to it though) - and fur next to The Mill precinct. Would definitely spend more time at the gardens next time we visit!

Next market day 17th September 2023 //Excellent market. Good array of stalls from veggies, food, pies, community BBQ with sausages, hamburgers so reasonably priced, to the most delicious tomato sauce, preserves, jams and bric a brac to raise money for the community. You'll find this store outside the local post office and down another street. Then there's the best flaxseed oil from Stony Creek organics, the olives are delicious at very fair prices for certified organic, excellent honey and the best healing balms from a stall in the 'yard sale area'. It's a bit hidden but we'll worth looking. There was only one veggie store the day I went so I was a bit disappointed. I was also hoping to find a butcher there or supplier of local grassfed or organic meats. Loved the eggs from navigator region and the yummy pea shoots they sell. There's heaps to explore Museum is also open to have a look. The architecture is beautiful and the town is quaint. There are amenities of toilets, drinking fountain, playground and BBQs and seating area available. Lovely day out and after stop off at Clunes historic town to purchase handmade woolen socks and products. Will definitely be back again. A wonderful rural farmers market. Has nearly everything you need for the weeks meals. Plenty of options for brekkie & coffee whilst you browse. Busy even though it was a drizzly morn. Stall holders friendly.

What a beautiful village 14 k's out of Maryborough Vic. Gardens maintained by Volunteers. A nice place for an overnight stop in a B&B. You'd have to drive to Maryborough for dinner.

A fantastic market. Great fresh produce, vegetables, fruit, beautiful crummed mushrooms, bread, honey etc. Great variety of market stalls. A lot of different fresh cooked food to buy for lunch or a snacks. If your looking for a nice weekend away this would make a perfect stop on the Sunday. Or if your in the area do yourself a favor & drop in. On every 3rd Sunday of each month. Check out their wed sight for updates or changes. I drove to Talbot 'cause l'd heard it was a great Market . I thought it might be foreshortened 'cause of Covid BUT no ... a wonderfully eccentric mix of stalls . What added to the Buzz was the friendliness . I chatted with a great mix of humans ... My Dog loved it too ❤ l took home Sausage , Honey + Books .

Grand old building. History laid on.

After receiving state funding from Heritage Victoria the magnificent Maryborough Station underwent a 4‐year three-stage restoration of the façade, the slate roof and clock tower and glazed lantern covering the main carriageway platform completed in 2012. It is a tribute to the Victorian Railways, Architectural Works Department completed in 1890 as an outstanding example to the school of Victorian railway architecture developing a regional rather than national or international modern style. It is one of the finest examples in the country of Queen-Anne architecture which displays many hallmarks of the Anglo‐Dutch style which is enlivened at the roofline with gables and an asymmetrically placed clock tower. During the 1970’s much of the original facade ornamentation, the orbs, pedestals and ball-caps and rendered octagonal chimney crowns were sadly removed. These were carefully re-cast and reinstated as part of the restoration programme. The exterior was re-rendered using Adelaide ‘Brightonlite’ yellow-ocher oxide cement render. The residents of Maryborough were delighted with the result and applauded its face-lift and remarked “this is how it was meant to be” and how they could remember the way the station looked originally. An outstanding feature of Maryborough Station is its long platform covered by a continuous glazed lantern at the apex. This is said to be the longest single platform outside the Melbourne region and measures 1010 meters including the rail motor sidings. Today, Maryborough Station operates an art gallery emporium, a fully licensed restaurant in the grand dining hall (thanks Lloyd) and VLine post and freight services for passenger and goods trains. On our way home to Mount Gambier today we stopped in to Marlborough station hoping for coffee and early feed....OMG we were not disappointed... The best cooked breakfast I have ever experienced....every mouthful delicious and well presented...chai late..prefect... What lovely friendly staff.....amazing atmosphere....do your self a favour if travelling and looking for a good feed...worth the stop....

The museum is small in size and can be covered in around 60 mins. The talk from the tour guide was very informative and engaging. The museum has the full sized display of the Catalina, which is really worth seeing. Knowing the history behind the Catalina base gives a good perspective on the significance of Lake Boga.

Great museum with lots of artefacts (both aircraft parts and RAAF/WAAF memorabilia) and a restored Catalina. Also has the communications bunker set up as it would have been. Highlights the role of Lake Boga in the war effort. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Visit could take 60-90 minutes easily.

To tell the truth we didn't even know what an air boat was before we vosoted Lake Boga but we are glad we did. We were very presently surprised when we visited the museum. The lake itself is lovely and the outside of the museum is unassuming but once you enter you are transported to a world of interesting WW2 memorabilia, a communications bunker and an amazing real Catalina air boat in the massive shed that houses the museum. The museum staff are animated and interesting. They can really answer any question you might have and do so in an interesting way. Their info and enthusiasm towards the history of the area and Austalia's contribution to the war are contagious.

Must visit if you are in the area. I never knew the use of Lake Boga, unless I visited this museum. It also has a real bunker and a real full size airplane. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable.

This was an amazing experience! Found information about my Dad and his war records. Shed a few tears. The Catalina Flying Boat information was outstanding! Never knew about this hidden piece of Australia's war history. The staff were so knowledgeable! Thank you ☺️

Wow! We came to see the pioneer village and decided to see the water/laser show that night and it was 100% worth it. Yes, when you hear the price it seems a bit expensive for a country town but it was worth every cent. The display, attractions and staff were great and the laser show in the evening far exceeded our expectations. If you're passing by, consider staying the night and see the show, you won't be disappointed :-)

We spent a few hours during the day and went back for the Mallee" light show in the evening. What a great way to spend the day. The staff are beautiful, friendly and informative. Once inside the horse drawn carriage and the car are free too. Reasonably priced too.

We had a great time exploring the settlement. Lots of things to see. Hopped on the wagon ride, Rocky (the horse) did a fabulous job of pulling Gus around in the wagon. The driver was lovely as were all the other staff onsite. Had a great ride in an old car. A lady in the gift shop showed us how all the old music played. Had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed this.

This is an amazing place to visit in Swan Hill. The old buildings and farming machinery are just fantastic. From tractors to harvesters there is so much history. Make sure you visit the General Store and check out the great selection of sweets and lollies! Also make sure you have a ride in the 100 year old Dodge and the horse drawn carriage.

Thank you to the staff who made my two children's experience wonderful. Mr 8 wanted to stay at the caravan park with his new holiday friends, but once we got him to the Settlement he had a great time! Thanks to Jack for helping my children make a skipping rope, to Ian for the vintage car ride and the lovely gentleman (sorry we didn't catch your name) for letting my kids 'steer' the horse + cart as well as taking our photos. We loved the 2 day re-entry which meant we could come back the following day to explore things we missed the first time around and to have any horse cart ride. The River Lights at night was brilliant. We purchased the laser light show & PS Pyap ride, all were a big hit, as was the free glow in the dark face paint. The snow machine, lights and music down the main street of the settlement created a little bit of magic for our little ones too. My only suggestion would be making the booking process easier. I first purchased River Lights tickets & Pyap ride not realising this didn't include the Pioneer Settlement day tickets. I then paid more to get tickets for the night laser show as I don't believe this was part of the River Lights experience!? I probably ended up paying twice...but I'm really not sure. It was just a bit confusing... Perhaps two different companies were running slightly different events!?

Such a fascinating place. Began in the 60s and has been going since. So fortunate to have so many of the historical pieces that built the area and nation more broadly being looked after so well with great information boards (even a couple of original ones from the early days of the exhibits!). Makes you proud of our country and the people who worked so hard to put it together. The tractors and farm machinery were a highlight for me, I could have spent hours more reading. It was good enough for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh to visit, so absolutely good enough for any of us too. Best thing in Swan Hill.

Fantastic experience in Swan Hill. A must visit for any history lovers, with some great examples of early machinery and buildings. Had something for everybody and a nice cafe on site. The Pyap cruise was a must, friendly staff and great service. The heartbeat of the Murray light show was fascinating. Overall a great 1 day stop in Swan Hill. Don’t miss the big Murray Cod in the centre of town while visiting.
