Villavicencio Natural Reserve

Nature & Parks
Mountainous area known for its mineral water, diverse flora & mammals like gray foxes & wildcats.
A poetic trip from Aconaqua mountain range to Mendoze. Hypnotic landscape, vastness, desert feeling, great stop and lunch at Villavicencio
Kadi T — Google review
The place is beautiful. It’s definetelly one greener part of the Cordilleras in Mendoza. On the way there you cross some “villas” one part of the great Mendoza where you see more poverty and trash. It was a surprise to get there and see the mountains so narrowed and green, the first part of the way they look little away. You may prepare yourself and bring your snacks, the “restaurant” there is very basic, you may also want to arrive early to participate in the activities. You pay a ticket to have access to the hotel which is like 3 usd, but the activities prices varys up to 20usd .
Thaiara S — Google review
I think the ticket prices are very high, there is a beautiful view of the mountains, but there is nothing surprising or unusual here. Further on the free road you can see more beautiful and better landscapes
Максим М — Google review
Nice place to visit, I think its a good option for families with children and for retired who enjoy a relaxing walk and a short guided tour around the hotel which is closed and abandoned. In my opinion the 350 pesos fee is quite expensive for what you receive.
Nicolás B — Google review
We enjoyed to visit the Reserve! Tickets are good but it could be better if you receive a water bottle with them. A beautiful place, definitely you have to listen the talk with the guide, I learnt a lot about Villavicencio.
Marilina B — Google review
Half day tour. Amazing view!
Paola P — Google review
A very good alternative to vineyard tours in Mendoza is to hire a car and come to this natural reserve. Guanaco is an easy sighting here since they are protected, along with condors and other animals. The view is sublime.

(Translated by Google) Excellent experience, beautiful views of nature including flora and fauna. Although it is a gravel road with some rocks and loose stones, they do not present a risk and there are no major problems if you drive slowly (10 to 30 km/h). Highly recommended. Avoid it only if the owner is too fond of the vehicle. (Translated by Google) Impressive place, you don't have enough space to see everything, a paradise. The video of the Condor isn't visible, but it passed very close; I didn't have time to film it head-on. Guanacos can be seen along several stretches of the road. There was a bit of ice in some places. The road is perfectly passable (June 25). The car was reading 1°, but with the sun it was beautiful.

(Translated by Google) A lovely experience. Without a doubt, if there are two or more of you, it's perfectly possible to do it by car. You can do it from Mendoza or from Uspallata. Personally, I suggest doing it from Uspallata. Since the vast majority do it from Mendoza. And that way, there aren't as many people at the Miradores. (Original) Una linda experiencia. En la que sin dudas si son dos o más perfectamente se puede realizar con auto. Se puede hacer desde Mendoza como bajar desde Uspallata. Particularmente. Sugiero hacerlo desde Uspallata. Gravel road but in good condition, incredible views and native animals that come across all the time, enriching the landscape. A marvel! (Original) Yo hice el recorrido por primera vez. (Translated by Google) It's worth it. The road is gravel, but very good. Some places are a bit daunting due to the many curves and ravines. But the views and nature make up for it. There are birds, guanacos, and foxes. I went in late August, and in some places there was snow and guanacos drinking water from the meltwater. You climb up, and right at the top is the Cruz de Paramillos. I highly recommend it; it's beautiful to head towards Uspallata on this road. (Original) Vale a pena.

(Translated by Google) An excellent experience. Our highly knowledgeable guide, Julián, answered all our questions with great confidence about the minerals, the history of the mine, and the area. He told us two captivating stories, the most interesting of which was about a rural bandit named Cubillos who was hiding in the mine until the commissioner discovered him and killed him. There is a tomb with offerings on site. I recommend touring the area with the Geopark guides. (Original) Excelente experiencia. El guía Julián muy preparado, nos evacuó todas las consultas con mucha solvencia sobre los minerales, historia de la mina y la zona. Parque de Agua Termal - Termas Cacheuta

Water & Amusement Parks
Parque de Agua Termal - Termas Cacheuta is a stunning hot springs complex nestled amidst picturesque mountains in Mendoza. The facility boasts multiple pools, including some for adults only, as well as water slides and a water park during the summer months. Visitors can enjoy barbecue facilities and covered picnic areas, making it an ideal spot for families to spend the day. The natural hot springs offer varying temperatures, providing a relaxing experience for all guests.
Good place to relax. You can eat outside and return. As well, bring your food and drink to enjoy in a garden area on park.
W49 S — Google review
Visited Parque de Agua in November. Booked via the official website. Entry for 2 people including a transfer from the centre of Mendoza. Here is my honest opinion. Transfer: Very easy, took a little over an hour to arrive at the park. Guides spoke Spanish, English and Portuguese. Location: The park is in a beautiful setting at the foot of the mountains. Venue: It was very busy; a lot of people in every pool. Lots of children. Not dirty but certainly not clean. We didn’t eat there because it was too busy. Lockers and robes are available but TAKE CASH. We managed to pay on card but we had to negotiate with one of the staff there to be able to pay for a locker on card. No sun loungers so don’t expect to be able to chill by the pool. Experience : It was ok. Go for 2 or 3 hours max. We left around lunchtime. It wasn’t the relaxing experience we hoped for. Worth a visit as it is a relatively cheap day but it was too busy for us. Wouldn’t go back.
Liam C — Google review
We were here in August, it was pretty cold outside. The temperature of the baths inside was okay, but outside was pretty cold. Plus, there were too many people. There is no place to lock your stuff, so you always have to keep a look at your bags to make sure it's not stolen. They need to install lockers at the very least.
Konstantin M — Google review
It certainly is true that the place is stunning, however we did not have a nice experience. The thermal pools were completely cluttered: there wasn’t a pool in which I could bath and not be touching someone. Apart from that, the whole place was overcrowded. The bathrooms, extra pools, etc. I think that the even worst part of this experience was that the thermal pools were not even hot. They were simply like any other normal pool.
Ema D — Google review
The rooms were booked way in advance which meant either going to the water park or not going at all. Be warned that people get there before the opening time and start getting in line. By 10am the place is quite full. You may rent a bathrobe in case you don't have a towel. The interesting part was purchasing meat cuts and barbecuing it outdoors.
Natalia K — Google review
Fantastic place with natural hot springs, in the mountains. Many pools of different temperatures, with some for adults only. Water slides and water park features available in the summer months (October to April). Barbecue facilities on site (of course, this is Argentina!), covered picnic area. Really great place to spend the day with the family.
Christian H — Google review
Might be my bad luck , review is based on personal experience on the day.. whilst the setting is lovely, visit wasn't one to remember. There were so many groups of children with no control in how many people are allowed at the time it was impossible to enjoy. Every pool was full of kids, even what supposed to be an adult pool with staff nowhere to be seen to enforce this. I'd recommend management to think of some more staff at busy times to give a bit more comfort and safety to the visitors.
Jurgita V — Google review
Kids loved it. Great and beautiful location. We took Uber from Central Mendoza for $20 & the bus back at closing. You can bring all your own food & drinks and cook on outdoor grills. Great big lockers for backpacks. Highly recommend.

A historical stone bridge located in the Andes of Mendoza Province, Argentina. The bridge played a crucial role during the Argentine War of Independence as part of General José de San Martín's crossing of the Andes campaign. The bridge is situated in a picturesque setting, surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the Andes mountains.
Taylor D — Google review
Apparently this is an important historical site but its very run down, the office? building behind a gate with a prohibito imgressa sign appears abandoned and the bridge leading to the building has collapsed. Very limited parking on a Sunday. So there is just the little historic bridge and a sign.
Shivaya G — Google review
This picturesque stop features a lovely bridge and a nice view of the surrounding mountain range.

Gravel road is a little rough but it’s only a short distance to drive from paved road. The bridge is interesting to see.

We made a short stop at this place on our way to the Aconcagua. Nice spot for a picnic and to put your feet in the cold water of the small mountain creek. The bridge itself was built during the Argentinean independence war, but has been restored in the last years. I was surprised to see that some locals went there for fishing.

Beautiful landscape. I lunched at the restaurant next to the railroad that was truly acceptable considering the place.

This is a ghost place, there use to be a Ski resort nearby but it is closed (permanently) So this place is the corpse of something that used to be a chill place some time ago. There is nothing to buy anything, even getting a meal is hard work in the area. I guess locals are trying their best to keep this place alive, but it is like having a stuffed pet because once you loved it

Parque Provincial Aconcagua is a renowned natural area featuring mountains and archaeological sites, making it a popular destination for hiking and adventure sports. The park is home to Cerro Aconcagua, standing at 6962m (22,841ft) as the highest peak outside the Himalayas, attracting climbers from around the world. For non-climbers, there are opportunities to hike to base camps and rustic shelters below the permanent snow line.
Amazing hike up to Confluencia. The round trip was about 6 hours, allowing for stops for photos, drinks and snacks. The views of Aconcagua and the surrounding mountains are breathtaking. You have to reserve a time online and then pay before you arrive. You check in before you set off as well as when you arrive at the Base camp. Wear sunscreen!

One of the best experiences I had in Argentina. I rented a car in Mendoza and I drove to the National Park. There you can park and walk towards the Cerro Aconcagua. There are plenty of routes for different hiking expertise but check because sometimes the are closed depending on the season. I get to the puente colgante and the views were stunning 😍
Javier G — Google review
Absolutely beautiful scenery. A bit difficult to negotiate the paths as people have strayed from the set routes a lot. Would have loved more time here, it's a fantastic park.
Krystyna W — Google review
5 stars for the park - 1 star for the reservation / payment / access process The access procedure is soooo complicated but absolutely worth it!. Please make sure to preregister your visit on the Parque Aconcagua site. When you get to the main entrance you will need this in order to pay your entrance to the park. Once the payment is completed then you have to go to the office next door to show proof of payment where you will receive the ticket to access the park. Honestly, too many steps that could be combined in just one. If you are driving, you will be able to access the park for around 1 km, then you will have a 15 minute walk to the first lookout at about 3,000 meters. From here you have an amazing view of the Aconcagua. For those fit individuals, you can keep walking for another 45 minutes to another lookout / bridge.
Carmen L — Google review
Great park, quick walks with great views of the Aconcagua. Friendly park staff, free bathrooms and it was also free to go up the road (Nov 2025)
Emmanuel C — Google review
Otherworldly landscape. Air is slightly thinner as hikes start nay 3000m. Be sure to bring cash to pay entry, it's possible to pay with card but they charge 20% more.
Sven R — Google review
Amazing landscape, you have to make a reservation in advance and check in when you arrive in the park but they provide you with a bag for garbage and some other useful information. Just be careful with the mean of transport if you're using the bus because they don't drop you off very close to the park entrance and you have to walk a few kilometers by the highway
Rareș M — Google review
Amazing park just on the east side of Andes mountains. The welcome center had very good and helpful information. The views are spectacular and breath taking. The hiking trails run for many kilometers and every step of the way was wonderful. Highly recommended you take extra water and a wind breaker because the winds sometimes can pick up. Fully enjoyed hiking here in view of the tallest mountain in South America.

Christ the Redeemer of the Andes

Monument
Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
High altitude, bronze statue of Christ commemorating Argentine-Chilean peace & completed in 1904.
Tried to summit today. Made it about 4km up but the road is still blocked by snow. Will probably be a few weeks before it melts off. Lots of fresh rockfall and some washouts on the way but we were able to make it up ok in a small car. Even though we didn’t make it to the top the view down the valley is epic and totally worth the trek.
Trevor M — Google review
The way up from the Santiago side is hard to find, right before the tunnel, it is not marked. This road is also way worse than the road up from the Argentina side. Tough ride up in a front wheel drive car, good thing it was a rental. Took the Argentina side down, way easier. 3 gift shops on top with lots of souvenirs. Get a hot chocolate. Cold on top in March. Ate lunch at the bottom of the Argentina side in the arch building over the road, very good. If you go back through the tunnel to Chile you will have to go through customs, make sure to have passports and car rental forms. ## make sure to tell them you just drove up to the Christ the Redeemer and are going back to Chile. They should let you in without a stamp from your car rental place.
Dave M — Google review
Fantastic place! Also of a special significance for the peace between Chile and Argentina. Doable on a 2WD, but definitely not an easy drive up the dirt road from Chile. It took me over 3.30 hours to drive from Santiago with no traffic. A few times I had to stop and remove rocks from the road and in one occasion had to move the soil to create a little ramp for the car to go up. Definitely a pain to have to go through Chile border control on my way back to Santiago. So unnecessary as I never entered Argentina 😅 After 2 hours queue the woman was very friendly and understandable so she let me go without having to do any paperwork. Enjoy but pay attention!
Giovanni B — Google review
Scary drive to this interesting monument to the peace of Argentina and Chile. The views are just stunning. Very windy and somewhat cold due to the heights.
Mario M — Google review
Great alternative to the tunnel if you have the time. Off-road vehicle is nice but not necessary (but use engine braking!). Great views, cool temps, some random vendors selling hot chocolate and whatnot. Both sides of the pass are dirt! Argentine side seems to be in better shape.
T. M — Google review
What a wild ride!!!!!! We came from Santiago and the climb up the massive mountain highway with all of the trucks was sooooo cool!!! Then you get to the old dirt road and that's when things get really fun lol. You're on this gravel road for about 25 minutes, and as long as you go slowly, it is totally fine but is a lot steeper than it looks in the pics. If another car passes you might have to backup 15 feet so they can pass, but there were hardly any people or vehicles on this route. At the top it is sooooo windy and cold, but truthfully you only need 5 minutes to take some photos before heading back down :) it is so steep and high that you certainly can feel the altitude... it was pretty neat and a totally fun ride. We didn't realise that we had to go through Chile border again but luckily it didn't take long and we had our passports. We explained we had just gone up and come down and they basically let us through. This whole adventure was so worth it and might be the only time we ever drive roads like this!

The drive up there was rather difficult especially with a normal city car but it’s manageable if you are a very good and confident driver. The only downside of visiting is that you will cross over to Argentina (if you come from Chile) and you do need to go through immigration and wait at the border for quite some time. We spent around 1:30h there and almost no one spoke English. We were lucky that someone who was also queuing was speaking some English and helped us fill in the forms. Be aware that apart from filling in the immigration form you also need to fill in TWO forms for the car (everything in Spanish and only if you have a rented car) Also don’t forget to bring a pen with you :). I would still recommend to go cause the view of the Andes makes it all worth it! But be prepared to spend most of the day there (driving + visiting + immigration).

The wines here are delicious especially the white blend. I'm normally not a fan of white wines, but this one was exceptional. I also got to taste a couple of the reds which were very good. Nice small vineyard on your way up to the Andes. Something a little different from the Maipo valley.

Beautiful setting, expansive vineyards, great priced wines, and friendly staff. I don't claim to be a good judge of wines, but I enjoyed the chardonnay. If you are on a tour that has this as a stop, you won't be disappointed.

Had a great experience doing a tasting here. The guide spoke great English and we very much enjoyed the wines. We booked our tasting the night before and it was no problem.

Absolutely wonderful experience! I wasn't able to make a reservation online since my trip was very last minute, but they were able to squeeze me into a tasting as a walk in. I only did the tasting, so I can't speak about the tour. Although I did walk around the grounds and the parts I saw were beautiful. The tasting itself included 3 different wines with a small snack plate. The guide spoke English well and was just very hospitable... I forgot her name, but she was great. Since the tour group was only 8 people, it made for a more intimate and personable experience. I enjoyed 2/3 wines and ended up buying a bottle of their Chardonnay. Typically, I'm not a fan of Chardonnay, but their Chardonnay is more similar to French style Chardonnay, which is more crisper and cleaner in taste compared American style Chardonnay. Highly recommend!

Emotional place with a cold and eerie feeling. RIP to the 20,000+ souls killed there by the dictatorship
Finbar M — Google review
Nice roadside attraction on the way from Santiago to Cajón del Maipo. The estructure itself is interesting, about 500ft long (from one end the other end can almost be seen) and can be traversed either on foot or with a small vehicle (ie, no larger than a medium-sized pickup). If traversing on vehicle, send someone on foot first to the other end so they warn off any vehicle trying to traverse in the reverse direction (otherwise you or it will need to go through a rather difficult and tight rear driving session).
Durval M — Google review
When going back from Embalse el Yeso the tour guide offered to stop at the Tinoco tunnel a place where a guy killed himself because of a broken heart. The tunnel became a place of pilgrimage for locals. The "tour" is going through the dark tunnel. I personally was concerned about robbery but everything went well.

Sky Costanera is a must-visit glass-walled observation deck located 300 meters high in the Gran Torre Santiago, the tallest building in Latin America. From this iconic spot, visitors can enjoy breathtaking 360º panoramas of Santiago and its surroundings, including views of the Andes mountains. The observation deck offers an unparalleled vantage point to admire the city's modern buildings, urban parks, and landmarks like Cerro San Cristobal and Cerro Santa Lucia.
If you like altitude, I highly recommend! I was surprised at the low price and high-quality meal I received in the restaurant area of the top floor. Very enjoyable to sit there at a window table with this view and a delicious dinner. I will definitely repeat this experience next time I am in Santiago.

Fantastic! Built in 2015, and currently the tallest building in South America, I would say it’s well-worth it for the views! It’s 20,000 CLP for adults, and it’s one of the highlights of Santiago. A great place to admire the view, and capture some great photos! There’s also a nice bar/restaurant that can be good (otherwise, there are more food options in the main mall). There are bathrooms and a gift store, too. Can definitely recommend! By yourself, a date, or with your family and friends!!

A must-visit in Santiago! Check the weather forecast so you can really enjoy it and see the Andes. The staff is super friendly and helpful. On both floors of the viewpoint, there are decorated spots perfect for taking photos to post. Amazing 360º view of the city!

Gorgeous city views. One of a kind. They have a second floor where you feel the air from outside cause it's open roof but the windows are all like 40 feet tall, so you technically do feel like you're still indoors.

Sky Costanera is a must-visit landmark in Santiago. This impressive skyscraper features an observation deck at the very top, offering breathtaking 360° views of the city and the majestic Andes mountains. The experience is unforgettable, especially on clear days when the Cordillera de Los Andes looks spectacular in the background. It’s one of the best ways to truly appreciate the scale and beauty of Santiago.

Wow! An absolute must try! $20 USD to get to the top of the tower. It has two levels for viewing. One of them is open roof. There is also a restaurant that has amazing food and equally amazing prices. Try to get up there before sunset. As the sun sets and night moves in, the views continue to change and they just keep getting better. 10/10!

This mall offers a large selection of brand names like Nike, North Face, Columbia, Gap etc. The pricing is higher than in US for certain brands and therefore I didn't buy anything. However, I liked visiting the Decathlon store, which is a discount sporting goods retailer and without any stores in the US. Overall I enjoyed the clean and relaxed atmosphere with enough benches and restrooms on each level. They have also USB ports and free WiFi for their customers. The Jumbo supermarket is a plus with a large variety of foods and reasonably priced.

Visited Chile last year. A beautiful and peaceful place with amazing views of Santiago. I could even see in the distance, the snow on a part of the Andes mountain range. It was great.

The 22-meter statue on San Cristóbal Hill, dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, was designed by Italian sculptors Luigi Poletti and Giuseppe Obici, and was constructed by the French foundry Val D'Osne. Although it's cloudy day, tourists still crowded. The cable car took us to a platform where there are lots of souvenir stores , food stalls, then taking about 100 steps to the top. I wish I had enough time to climb up all the way to the top myself. The overview was excellent even in a cloudy day.

While it’s a great place to wander and experience Santiago’s energy, be prepared for premium pricing.

Is a lively spot in the city, perfect for spending time exploring shops, restaurants, trying new food and buying souvenirs. It has a great variety of places to eat and drink, as well as a mix of shops. There’s parking available right in front of Patio Bellavista, which is convenient, but it’s a bit pricey. For less than 40 minutes, we ended up paying 2000 CLP. But the cost for a whole day is 6500 CLP, what’s actually not bad. Restroom facilities: The toilets are not the cleanest, and they charge 500 CLP per visit. Could definitely be improved, especially considering the fee.

This is a must visit in Santiago. It is the offices of the President of Chile. It is the site of the military coup in 1973. It’s the home of their democratic government today and in the past. Hoped to be able to tour the inside, but they had pretty tight security around the building and not allowing tourists to even go inside of the perimeter fence that was set up. Took a few pictures from the memorial plaza/park area adjacent to the palace. This building functions as a government/state building and houses many offices and meeting rooms for high ranking government officials in the Chilean government. A nice display and many flags and memorials to past leadership are also found on the ground and around the area. This is one of the key buildings you'll find on many of the Chilean souvenirs. I recommend to buy the cheese + wine tour, this way you can learn how to harmonize wine with different types of cheese.

What a magical winery! You are literally right in the middle of the city and all of a sudden there's the winery grounds. It's beautiful. The tour is fun and informative plus you get a nice tasting of their wines. They recently opened up a new bar area or champagne tasting room as well. The birds and wildlife on the grounds are fabulous, many even have their own names. If you're in Santiago, definitely make the hour or so trip to visit. It's worth it.

We attended the opening night event at this vineyard and were given a tour of the cellars. Stunning venue. Beautiful setting. Has an impressive bar lined with wine bottles. On the tour of the cellars they have a room where you can smell all the aromas in wine seperately. The cellar tour is very high tech but probably appeals more to the younger crowd. This cellar is famous for their Casillero del Diablo wine. We had a wonderful evening!

It's very nice to see how a mass producer of wine does it. Although there is very little production on site, the tour itself was nice. It's a short getaway from the city. The guide was knowledgeable (WSET Level 2) and pleasant. Overall, I liked it. Wouldn't come back for the tour, but if you want to see a vineyard around Santiago, this is a nice one to do. In the wine tasting, you get to try 4 wines and they are certainly above average to good!

Our visit to Viña Concha y Toro was an unforgettable experience—the vineyard itself is breathtaking, the tour was informative, and the wine tastings were absolutely top-tier. That said, our day started on the wrong foot thanks to the trio of ticketing ladies at the entrance, who seemed personally offended by our presence. They were painfully slow, clearly confused by their own computer system, and lacked even a shred of enthusiasm or basic courtesy. It was as if customer service had been stomped out like a bad grape. Thankfully, the rest of the staff and the vineyard’s charm more than made up for that awkward, quite irritating interaction. 4/5 stars due to tour guide Felipe absolutely crushing the tour. He is an asset to that business.

This was an amazing experience! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Manuela our tour guide was able to communicate simultaneously in English and Portuguese with a great energy. Romina the sommelier gave us the Marques tasting, it was fantastic! She explained everything that even a novice like me could follow along with!

Overall experience is pretty bad. We took Cellar Collection tour (120k CLP ~120 USD). The wines were good, some were outstanding (5 in cellar collection degustation, 4 in regular one). Guide and sommelier were friendly and professional. BUT: the dinner in Bodega 1883, that we bought online (50k CLP ~ 50 USD online), was awful. All 3 courses were bad, 1 glass of wine was terrible (it seems it was most basic one. In the winery for 50 bucks!). The cherry on top: elixir cassilero del diablo (Porto wine type) online is 30k CLP per glass and on-site is 20k CLP. Anyways the elixir is pretty weak Porto and not worth 120 USD per bottle.

This is the best visitor experience at a vineyard I’ve been to anywhere in the world. They have invested heavily in an excellent audio visual experience that takes you through the winemaking process. It really is first class. And it’s with paying for the higher end food and tasting options- again, exceptional quality. There’s some stuffiness about Concho y Toro for being ‘commercial’ but this experience reinforces their credentials as serious quality producers

Nestled in the picturesque Alto Jahuel foothills, Viña Santa Rita offers a sublime wine-tasting experience. The vineyard boasts a perfect blend of advanced technology and diverse terroirs, resulting in high-quality wines that leave a pure and delightful flavor on your palate. The expansive estate features well-maintained gardens and an intriguing history to explore.
Valentina is a wonderful tour guide!! She answered all my questions and led a fantastic wine tasting in the cellar. If you only visit one vineyard in the area, let it be Santa Rita! I arrived at 10:30am and stayed all day until close. Such beautiful gardens, delicious wine, a fascinating museum, and well organized operations with English speaking guides and very helpful staff. Don’t miss Dona Paula, the onsite restaurant. I had lunch with the friends I made on my tour and cannot recommend it enough, especially our server Luis 🤍

A wonderful experience in the Maipo Valley! We had the chance to visit Santa Rita Winery, and it was a truly memorable experience. The tour of the vineyard and the cellar was both informative and enjoyable, with our guide sharing the rich history of the winery in a very engaging way. The wine tasting was excellent, with generous pours and a great selection of their labels. An added bonus to the visit is the Andean Museum, which is included in the tour and offers a surprisingly impressive collection of pre-Columbian and colonial artifacts. It’s a beautiful space that really adds cultural depth to the overall experience. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Santiago and want to explore Chilean wine culture at its best!

Brilliant. You can do an hour tour there. It’s fascinating, can be done in a few languages. You end up trialling some really nice wine in their cellar with very generous portions. We got a free wine glass for each of us and then went to their shop where it’s amazingly cheap! We bought 12 bottles at a great price and they’re very happy to let you test the bottles you’re looking at so you can decide to buy or not.

I combined Santa Rita with Concha y Torro. The tour in Santa Rita was better, due to the things you see in the winery and vineyard. The guide was also very knowledgeable and entertaining. The wine was better at other places, although you get to try 4 wines. If you want to look how a mass producer does it, this is the preferable spot! If you want the best wine in Chile, it's not what I would recommend.
Gertjan V — Google review
Concha y Toro was a bit nicer - but 100% worth to visit Santa Rita, learn more about its story, why 130 is such an important number and its rich gardens around the hotel.

Wine tasting and tour, stunning winery that produces 90 million bottles a year, tour takes about 50 minutes and includes tasting 3 wines of the 120 range.....won't give away the story of its name, you'll have to go yourself....!

The winery is beautiful. The horse drawn carriage was relaxing and we enjoyed touring the grounds. Our tasting of three wines was superb and then there was the picnic lunch we enjoyed on the grounds. It was the highlight of our day. I highly recommend touring this location.
Mark B — Google review
The grounds are pretty nice with most historical cellar we have seen in the Santiago area. The wine pairings come with cheese and nuts so that was good. Our guide however was very disengaged and really without much knowledge of the wine or it's makings. A bit disappointed because of that.

Buin Zoo, located just a short drive from downtown Santiago, is a well-established animal park offering spacious enclosures and diverse experiences. Visitors can enjoy feeding giraffes, riding ponies, and attending educational presentations while emphasizing conservation and animal welfare. The zoo provides interactive opportunities for both school groups and the general public to promote respect for wildlife. With clean and organized facilities, it offers a quality experience akin to larger zoos like the San Diego Zoo.
Excellent theme zoo, you can stay all day. Extensive facilities, entertaining atmosphere and well cared for animals. A jewel to visit with family and children.

Visiting from the U.S., our first trip to Buin Zoo was absolutely incredible! We were captivated by the detailed representations of different continents and impressed by the friendly staff. My daughters were thrilled to see so many capybaras, their favorite animal, and we all adored the red panda. While it's a bit of a drive from the city, it was definitely worth every minute!
Melanie G — Google review
It is a good zoo but I found price to be too expensive. There are many children, places to eat and drink, everything is organized well. Many animals are there and th visibility is good.

Was pretty good, the weather was so good, and is wonderful, I full recommend for kids, there are so many animals, birds and so many places to stop when you're so tired, there are so many restaurants ( fast food) to eat. There are souvenir's shops and there are an act with marines animals, all was ok and so good.
Luis G — Google review
Excellent zoo in Santiago, the place was very clean and beautiful, it's not the largest zoo I have been but I really enjoyed my tour despite its size it has a great variety of animals but I am concerned about the little space that the animals have. I really enjoyed the marine show at the zoo, it was very informative and entertaining. I loved it !!

Beatiful place with great access. Mostly wheelchair friendly but can turn quite difficult in some parts. The animals are well taken care of and looked happy and the staff is very nice and helpfull. Its has its own parking lot.

Byin Zoo is one of the best parks that you can visit! Staff super friendly! And the scenery and animals are awesome, amazingly well done. The animal's habitats are carefully maintained. The park it is clean and you will have multiple spots for beverage and get something to eat. Just save your time and money and avoid visiting Hakuna Matata restaurant, it is a waste of money, only good thing there is the air conditioning 😉 the park management must work to improve that restaurant, before was really good.

Good selection of animals: lions, jaguar, monkeys, rhinos, giraffes, snakes, birds, etc. Has a tarantula (arthropods) exhibit. Took 2 boys 6 and 12 and both enjoyed the visit. Small enough to do in an afternoon, about 40 exhibits. A few "shows". A bit stinky but maybe expected for a zoo. Visited in late May 2019; weather was cool.

Monticello

Casino
Fun & Games
Casino in a plush hotel with dance shows, concerts & bowling, as well as slots, blackjack & poker.
A cool experience to at least live once in a lifetime, but it makes you want to come back.
Cristian C — Google review
What a disappointment this place was. It was dead, they charged to go in, they ask for your mother's maiden name. Wife. And the only decent bR was invite vip only. I have been to casinos all over the world and this is the worst of all of them
Steven L — Google review
Fascinating place with lots to enjoy from the Casino to the restaurants
Tony B — Google review
Man! I have visited so many casinos around the world, and I swear Monticello is on the top of technology. First, the registration is online, fast, and efficiently. Some countries in Europe still use physical staff to registered while here is everything electronic. Then, they have national ATM, which lead to not overcharging on fees, such as in others' fakes ATM. Huge casino, with many electronic machines, the best on technology. Winning or losing is up to the luck. But the experience was amazing. 10/10

Went here to see Bob Sinclar, music was fantastic but there was no space to dance. It's a place to watch a show rather than dance to music. We ate quite well in a restaurant, although somewhat overpriced for what it was

Huge Casino! Hotel real close. Bunch of restaurants with many options for really good food. Great A/C. Coffee places. Shops. Nice Wine Store. Great impeccable infract structure, with parking. This place is a great alternative to visit when leaving the noisy city of Santiago for a lil bit, or a weekend. Picture shows "Locos" a Chilean Sea Food I have not tried since last century! Fantastic.

Chile Safari Park

Animal park & zoo with safari rides, a zip line, a video game arcade & a restaurant.
Great family day trip from Santiago. Kids loved the different safari rides. Safaris carry an additional fee. Food available.

I was excited to visit this place. Usually parks out of the city have more space for the animals and care well for them. This is a classic example of animal exploitation. Small enclosures, stinking of feces. Lone animals looking sad and pacing. This place should be shut down, and don’t get me started on the plastic animatronics and broken items and games. The place is a giant smelly mud puddle.
John A — Google review
Great to see so many rescued animals being well cared of and having such a close encounter with them. Employees were well educated in all aspects in knowledge of the Safari Park and very friendly. To make things better, the food at the Restaurant was great. Will visit again. Thank you! Carlos and Elisabeth, New Jersey, USA

It looks like an 18 century zoo, the animals are in small and dirty cages, they looked stresses.

Great place for a nice safari ! Was able to feed the herbivores and got really close to the lion ! Animals seem to be really taken care of :)

We came very late, but it was a lot of fun and I recommend it. Some exhibits were closed unfortunately, but still worth it.

An awesome experience to have with your family. The entire park is good, but for sure the best part is the feline safari.
Gabriel V — Google review
Amazing experience. This is our second visit and it won’t be our last. The only issue, which wasn’t the fault of the Safari Rancagua, was the excessive loud music coming from off the property between 1 am and 6 am. No sleep for us but we still enjoyed the accommodations and being close to all the animals.
