Fountains
The Fountain of the Continents is a captivating sight where water gracefully dances in harmony with representations of the continents. Originally acquired in Paris and installed in 1911, it symbolizes the four continents known at that time: America, Asia, Europe, and Africa. During harvest season, the water is colored to resemble wine. Visitors can enjoy this beautiful fountain both during the day and at night, with many people frequenting the park for its safety and abundance of cafes and snack spots.
A beautiful fountain with incredibly detailed artwork. The fountain serves as a point of rest within the giant park in Mendoza. There are a few foodtrucks there with lots of picnic tables so you can have a break from exploring the city. The fountain looks amazing with the green and blue backdrop from the park and the thing about Mendoza is that the city feels very relaxed. With a park like this and the beautiful art work throughout the city like the Fountain of the Continents I totally understand why people here are so lovely.
Animesh G — Google review
Big beautiful fountain next to the lake in the park and a local Artisan fare on the weekends with some nice food trucks as well and seating

Such a big park with a lake and benders there’s food trucks a lot of path to walk and so much green very beautiful part to visit

Beautiful fountain! One of the first working fountains we’ve seen in Argentina or Chile. Really nice area to sit down and relax. The coffee served at Entre dos is okay ($2100 for a grande cup).
Eline F — Google review
Beautiful place but what I loved the most were the food trucks, coffee and beer trucks by the fountain, plus they have a local market where you can get some suovenirs!
Gabriela M — Google review
Visited at night and morning; our favourite was at night :) the park is full of people, it’s very safe, lots to see and full of cafes and places to get a snack, a coffee, a beer… great for a picnic or just an evening walk. Highly recommend checking it out

An absolutely amazing green space in the centre of Mendoza. The park is absolutely huge, you could spend hours here. The lake in the centre is a lovely place for a leisurely stroll. There are also several market stalls and food trucks dotted throughout the park. A wonderful place to spend a sunny afternoon.

Gorgeous park to walk off all the meat and wine that you will eat in Mendoza. You can rent bicycles, run, or just walk around and enjoy the beautiful vegetation, lakes, monuments, fountains. Absolutely 💯 worth the visit.

Monument to the Army of the Andes

Monument
Sights & Landmarks
The impressive Army of the Andes Monument is a must-see in Mendoza. It's well worth the visit for its impressive scale and variety of statues and memorials. However, there are no signs explaining the different parts of the monument, so be prepared to do a little bit of research before you go.
A most impressive statue that commemorates the army of the Andes. The monument stands tall upon Cerro de la Gloria with great details and a visualized story. The monument is adorned with different statues that are all impressive by themselves, arrange them together and it looks imposing and majestic against the clear blue skies of Mendoza. The views and nature surrounding the Cerro are amazing. You feel at peace here and the people are very relaxed. It's a nice walk or if you love to run, this is a good challenge! The hike up can be difficult so I recommend grabbing a taxi or an uber. Bring some water with you because the heat is killing. There is a restaurant with reasonable prices so you can indulge in some food or drinks.
Animesh G — Google review
You cash take the bus to the trailhead. It's a nice short hike uphill. Lots of breaks built into the hike. Beautiful scenery
David R — Google review
This is the worst statue and worst tourist attraction on Earth. It destroyed a one year relationship. It is *NOT* walkable from within the park, tourism industry lies. You need to take a cab, bus, or walk around the entire park to get to it unless you've pointlessly rented a car to otherwise explore a very walkable city. Wasted 4 hours because the map is a lie and caused a massive fight.
Nathan D — Google review
5 min walk up the hill. From central park take bus 200 or 201. After your visit you can take a nice walk to the central park.
Antoine A — Google review
Here we have a very big Monument on top of a mountain in Mendoza. You can reach it for example with a city bus tour. Just get out of the bus and take the next one.
Jonas L — Google review
Nice hike, if you like hiking. Only moderately difficult because there's a road to reach the top. The view of the city from the lookout at the top is great. The monument is nice, but just that. A monument.
Gabriel F — Google review
Very nice expetience, you can go walking
Dario R — Google review
Very impressive monument very well worth the visit. The only negative is that there are no signs explaining the different parts of the monument. Wikipedia has a good post- read it before you go.

Villavicencio Natural Reserve

Nature preserve
Nature & Parks
Mountainous area known for its mineral water, diverse flora & mammals like gray foxes & wildcats.
A poetic trip from Aconaqua mountain range to Mendoze. Hypnotic landscape, vastness, desert feeling, great stop and lunch at Villavicencio
Kadi T — Google review
The place is beautiful. It’s definetelly one greener part of the Cordilleras in Mendoza. On the way there you cross some “villas” one part of the great Mendoza where you see more poverty and trash. It was a surprise to get there and see the mountains so narrowed and green, the first part of the way they look little away. You may prepare yourself and bring your snacks, the “restaurant” there is very basic, you may also want to arrive early to participate in the activities. You pay a ticket to have access to the hotel which is like 3 usd, but the activities prices varys up to 20usd .
Thaiara S — Google review
I think the ticket prices are very high, there is a beautiful view of the mountains, but there is nothing surprising or unusual here. Further on the free road you can see more beautiful and better landscapes
Максим М — Google review
Nice place to visit, I think its a good option for families with children and for retired who enjoy a relaxing walk and a short guided tour around the hotel which is closed and abandoned. In my opinion the 350 pesos fee is quite expensive for what you receive.
Nicolás B — Google review
We enjoyed to visit the Reserve! Tickets are good but it could be better if you receive a water bottle with them. A beautiful place, definitely you have to listen the talk with the guide, I learnt a lot about Villavicencio.
Marilina B — Google review

A very good alternative to vineyard tours in Mendoza is to hire a car and come to this natural reserve. Guanaco is an easy sighting here since they are protected, along with condors and other animals. The view is sublime.

(Translated by Google) Excellent experience, beautiful views of nature including flora and fauna. Although it is a gravel road with some rocks and loose stones, they do not present a risk and there are no major problems if you drive slowly (10 to 30 km/h). Highly recommended. Avoid it only if the owner is too fond of the vehicle. (Translated by Google) Impressive place, you don't have enough space to see everything, a paradise. The video of the Condor isn't visible, but it passed very close; I didn't have time to film it head-on. Guanacos can be seen along several stretches of the road. There was a bit of ice in some places. The road is perfectly passable (June 25). The car was reading 1°, but with the sun it was beautiful.

(Translated by Google) A lovely experience. Without a doubt, if there are two or more of you, it's perfectly possible to do it by car. You can do it from Mendoza or from Uspallata. Personally, I suggest doing it from Uspallata. Since the vast majority do it from Mendoza. And that way, there aren't as many people at the Miradores. (Original) Una linda experiencia.

(Translated by Google) I did the tour for the first time. The feeling of being in that immensity is strange. Gravel road but in good condition, incredible views and native animals that come across all the time, enriching the landscape. A marvel!
Daniel D — Google review
(Translated by Google) It's worth it. The road is gravel, but very good. Some places are a bit daunting due to the many curves and ravines. But the views and nature make up for it. There are birds, guanacos, and foxes. I went in late August, and in some places there was snow and guanacos drinking water from the meltwater. You climb up, and right at the top is the Cruz de Paramillos. I highly recommend it; it's beautiful to head towards Uspallata on this road. (Original) Vale a pena.

Hotel & Spa Termas Cacheuta

Mentioned on
1 list
Hotel
Spas & Wellness
Hotel & Spa Termas Cacheuta is an informal hotel with stunning mountain views and a thermal spa. The hotel offers 16 exclusive rooms in a comfortable rustic style, each with a private bath and hot spring water. Guests can enjoy various recreational activities such as games, satellite television, table tennis, pool, board games, cards, videos and outdoor sports like paddle. The on-site restaurant serves the best dishes from Mendoza in a picturesque Creole Buffet setting.
Amazing experience at the spa. We got a “connect to your body” experience of sort which was very nice and relaxing. The place merits a lot and the food was amazing too. I wasn’t particularly excited about the Asado when I saw the variety of salads and greens that they had. Amazing experience. Don’t go very early as it can be pretty chilly until the sun comes up
Mahan P — Google review
Beautiful location and then down hill from there. They might add well remove spa from the name. Unless you are staying there, don't plan on anything. Massages.... You can't make reservations for a massage after of time. Showing up right when they open at 10, all but one 1/2 hour massage was booked. Yep, they only book 1/2 hour massage. Only had 2 masseuse working. And no other spa services. No facials, pedicures, couples massages, nothing. They will ONLY provide you 2 towels. One before lunch and one after lunch. Meaning you get to go to lunch with a wet towel. Lunch.... Very disappointing and close to not worth eating. All the meats were way over cooked and the buffet disjointed. No other beverage options besides vine and beer for the must part. This is only available for purchase in the restaurant. No beverage service anywhere else on the property. The "thermal* like smelled more of chlorine and normal thermal water.
Frank S — Google review
Thermal Circuit & Spa The thermal circuit is truly impressive. There are several different outdoor pools with various temperatures, all beautifully constructed with stone. Inside, there's a grotto with a hot water jet that provides a great massage. You can also cover yourself in natural mud and then dry off in the sun or in a dry sauna. For an extra treat, there's a walkway with different sized stones to stimulate your feet. Upstairs, a large outdoor hot water pool is perfect for swimming. They also have a dry sauna and a wet sauna located in a natural cave, which is a unique touch. The massage area, however, could be improved. The cabins are separated by thin partitions that don't provide sound privacy. Despite this, our masseur, Jorge, did an excellent job. Food The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The buffet is fantastic, with a huge variety of grilled food and many different side dishes. The dessert selection is enormous. Overall, the food is very good. The only slight drawback is that the waiters can be a bit slow when it comes to bringing drinks or coffee. Final Verdict • ✔ Strong points: The wide variety and unique features of the thermal circuit, the excellent quality and variety of the buffet, and the overall relaxing atmosphere. • ❌ What to improve: The lack of sound privacy in the massage area and the slow drink service. • 🌟 Secret tip: Make sure to try the different saunas and mud treatments for a full spa experience.
MARTIN T — Google review
This hotel is horrendous in every single aspect. The service is unhelpful and there’s no sense of hospitality, the rooms are barebones with barely functioning parts, and the spa itself doesn’t have enough staff and the bathrooms are clogged. It was so bad I left through my reservation and I truly hope no one makes the decision to stay there. Mendoza is a beautiful place and there are many other places to stay. DO NOT WASTE TIME / MONEY here. And to the hotel, learn to do better. Argentina is a beautiful country with lovely hospitality culture. Learn from that.
Somak G — Google review
We only went to the Spa for the day, but it was fantastic. The location is amazing and so picturesque, and the staff took really good care of us. The Spa is excellent with plenty of space so it doesn't feel too cramped. The buffet lunch was excellent and the whole experience was good value for money.
Ed M — Google review
Truly awful experience. We had hiked Aconcagua and were really looking forward to a relaxing experience, but this was far from that. The hotel was under renovation, so it was noisy, had construction workers in and out at all times, and was full of dust. The rooms were extremely hot, no mini fridge, and when we grabbed a water bottle from the lobby we were told it was “not up for grabs”. The hotel bathrooms were not even clean. Service was awful. They did not have massages available upon arrival, but when we tried to book in advance we were told we had to book upon arrival. If you’re traveling in Argentina, I recommend you skip this hotel altogether. The price does not match the experience you get here. Look elsewhere in Mendoza.
Melina V — Google review
I stayed 2 nights. It’s very much sub 3* and they mainly cater for day visitors who are there all day. Martin and Gladys at check in were super welcoming. The staff in general are very friendly - my Spanish speaking is poor but they were nice about it. However felt quite excluded and disappointed not to be informed of events like a wine tasting on the 2nd night (probably as I don’t speak Spanish?) and noting some guests being given guided tours of the facilities whilst I was left to my own devices after checkin. If you want luxury you’d be better off booking somewhere like the Diplomatic. This place is too expensive for what it offers. The thermal pools are lovely but there’s a lot of day trippers having same experience for fraction of cost. It would have been nice to have some hours where the pools/facilities are for exclusive use of hotel residents. The large outdoor thermal pool is open until midnight though and the setting is tranquil and beautiful. Unfortunately for the price I’d have expected the food/dinner to be amazing but it was pretty poor. Since I was staying 2 nights I got a 30min massage included and Fernando was lovely but if you’ve been trekking this will not be adequate. Drinks are not included with meals but they have a pretty decent wine list. Overall the rooms could do with updating and if dinner/breakfast was better and drinks included it may be worth staying. WiFi was good which I wasn’t expecting considering location. I’d say it’s overpriced for what it is but setting is stunning and tranquil especially when day visitors are gone.
Spirit S — Google review
This place is a total scam due to the staff. We got the full package and when we arrived at noon they told us that we missed the entire tour that we paid for and started giving us excuses why and literally we caught them lying. Then lunch time arrived, they said that there are tons of vegetarian fish options - total lie. Tons of meat but the food looked really bad and not fresh. At the pools site they had a water for tourists to drink, all of the sudden the water we tried came out yellow so I went to the reception to tell them and they said don’t drink it anymore - it should be yellow from the sediments of the natural water! This is insane since they get tons of tourists who can easily get sick from their irresponsible behaviour. Lastly, at the restaurant they’re so slow they never bring you drinks and then they charge you for more so please beware of these people. Horrible experience and I won’t recommend it to anyone. The place is very nice but unfortunately the staff is horrendous and it wasn’t just one person it was 4-5 people that kept trying to cover each other.

Parque de Agua Termal - Termas Cacheuta is a stunning hot springs complex nestled amidst picturesque mountains in Mendoza. The facility boasts multiple pools, including some for adults only, as well as water slides and a water park during the summer months. Visitors can enjoy barbecue facilities and covered picnic areas, making it an ideal spot for families to spend the day. The natural hot springs offer varying temperatures, providing a relaxing experience for all guests.
Good place to relax. You can eat outside and return. As well, bring your food and drink to enjoy in a garden area on park.

Visited Parque de Agua in November. Booked via the official website. Entry for 2 people including a transfer from the centre of Mendoza. Here is my honest opinion. Transfer: Very easy, took a little over an hour to arrive at the park. Guides spoke Spanish, English and Portuguese. Location: The park is in a beautiful setting at the foot of the mountains. Venue: It was very busy; a lot of people in every pool. Lots of children. Not dirty but certainly not clean. We didn’t eat there because it was too busy. Lockers and robes are available but TAKE CASH. We managed to pay on card but we had to negotiate with one of the staff there to be able to pay for a locker on card. No sun loungers so don’t expect to be able to chill by the pool. Experience : It was ok. Go for 2 or 3 hours max. We left around lunchtime. It wasn’t the relaxing experience we hoped for. Worth a visit as it is a relatively cheap day but it was too busy for us. Wouldn’t go back.
Liam C — Google review
We were here in August, it was pretty cold outside. The temperature of the baths inside was okay, but outside was pretty cold. Plus, there were too many people. There is no place to lock your stuff, so you always have to keep a look at your bags to make sure it's not stolen. They need to install lockers at the very least.
Konstantin M — Google review
It certainly is true that the place is stunning, however we did not have a nice experience. The thermal pools were completely cluttered: there wasn’t a pool in which I could bath and not be touching someone. Apart from that, the whole place was overcrowded. The bathrooms, extra pools, etc. I think that the even worst part of this experience was that the thermal pools were not even hot. They were simply like any other normal pool.
Ema D — Google review
The rooms were booked way in advance which meant either going to the water park or not going at all. Be warned that people get there before the opening time and start getting in line. By 10am the place is quite full. You may rent a bathrobe in case you don't have a towel. The interesting part was purchasing meat cuts and barbecuing it outdoors.
Natalia K — Google review
Fantastic place with natural hot springs, in the mountains. Many pools of different temperatures, with some for adults only. Water slides and water park features available in the summer months (October to April). Barbecue facilities on site (of course, this is Argentina!), covered picnic area. Really great place to spend the day with the family.
Christian H — Google review
Might be my bad luck , review is based on personal experience on the day.. whilst the setting is lovely, visit wasn't one to remember. There were so many groups of children with no control in how many people are allowed at the time it was impossible to enjoy. Every pool was full of kids, even what supposed to be an adult pool with staff nowhere to be seen to enforce this. I'd recommend management to think of some more staff at busy times to give a bit more comfort and safety to the visitors.
Jurgita V — Google review
Kids loved it. Great and beautiful location. We took Uber from Central Mendoza for $20 & the bus back at closing. You can bring all your own food & drinks and cook on outdoor grills. Great big lockers for backpacks. Highly recommend.

I recommend it; it's free! We left the guide a tip ❣️ (Original) Fuimos a conocerlas un domingo tipo 2 pm. Es un lugar súper tranquilo y ameno. Beautiful landscape. I lunched at the restaurant next to the railroad that was truly acceptable considering the place.

This is a ghost place, there use to be a Ski resort nearby but it is closed (permanently) So this place is the corpse of something that used to be a chill place some time ago. There is nothing to buy anything, even getting a meal is hard work in the area. I guess locals are trying their best to keep this place alive, but it is like having a stuffed pet because once you loved it

Parque Provincial Aconcagua is a renowned natural area featuring mountains and archaeological sites, making it a popular destination for hiking and adventure sports. The park is home to Cerro Aconcagua, standing at 6962m (22,841ft) as the highest peak outside the Himalayas, attracting climbers from around the world. For non-climbers, there are opportunities to hike to base camps and rustic shelters below the permanent snow line.
Amazing hike up to Confluencia. The round trip was about 6 hours, allowing for stops for photos, drinks and snacks. The views of Aconcagua and the surrounding mountains are breathtaking. You have to reserve a time online and then pay before you arrive. You check in before you set off as well as when you arrive at the Base camp. Wear sunscreen!

One of the best experiences I had in Argentina. I rented a car in Mendoza and I drove to the National Park. There you can park and walk towards the Cerro Aconcagua. There are plenty of routes for different hiking expertise but check because sometimes the are closed depending on the season. I get to the puente colgante and the views were stunning 😍
Javier G — Google review
Absolutely beautiful scenery. A bit difficult to negotiate the paths as people have strayed from the set routes a lot. Would have loved more time here, it's a fantastic park.
Krystyna W — Google review
5 stars for the park - 1 star for the reservation / payment / access process The access procedure is soooo complicated but absolutely worth it!. Please make sure to preregister your visit on the Parque Aconcagua site. When you get to the main entrance you will need this in order to pay your entrance to the park. Once the payment is completed then you have to go to the office next door to show proof of payment where you will receive the ticket to access the park. Honestly, too many steps that could be combined in just one. If you are driving, you will be able to access the park for around 1 km, then you will have a 15 minute walk to the first lookout at about 3,000 meters. From here you have an amazing view of the Aconcagua. For those fit individuals, you can keep walking for another 45 minutes to another lookout / bridge.
Carmen L — Google review
Great park, quick walks with great views of the Aconcagua. Friendly park staff, free bathrooms and it was also free to go up the road (Nov 2025)

Otherworldly landscape. Air is slightly thinner as hikes start nay 3000m. Be sure to bring cash to pay entry, it's possible to pay with card but they charge 20% more.

Amazing landscape, you have to make a reservation in advance and check in when you arrive in the park but they provide you with a bag for garbage and some other useful information. Just be careful with the mean of transport if you're using the bus because they don't drop you off very close to the park entrance and you have to walk a few kilometers by the highway
Rareș M — Google review
Amazing park just on the east side of Andes mountains. The welcome center had very good and helpful information. The views are spectacular and breath taking. The hiking trails run for many kilometers and every step of the way was wonderful. Highly recommended you take extra water and a wind breaker because the winds sometimes can pick up. Fully enjoyed hiking here in view of the tallest mountain in South America.

a beautiful, quiet, wild place. We managed to find them when there were no tourists. no tickets needed, there is free parking nearby.

If you come here to do activities, don’t expect to do much. The average wait time to go sledding, tubing, ziplining, etc. is 2-3 hours. They so play cannot handle the amount of people. Please see my video as it is just a simple example of a line here even after an hour. You can see multiple other lines as well. The fastest way to move up in the line is people giving up and leaving the line. We came with a tour so didn’t have to wait in a ticket line which was also huge in the morning. On another note, The Mountain views are pretty cool. If you want to just see snow and hang out, I guess it would be fine.

Very good to play with the snow, has a few attractions to visit and it is really enjoyable. It's recommended to go there to be all day long, just a few hours it isn't worth the entrance price.

Nice place to enjoy whatever the snow can offer. Full of activities, place to eat and the most the ski adventures. Unfortuanely on my day wasnt much snow but for the magical place, worth the visit.
OSHENT S — Google review
Visited about a month ago , went through a tour agency. Park has a lot of activities along with skiing lessons or snow boarding lessons . I was recommended the skiing lessons by the tour guide and we reached around 11 am . We had to wait for about 10-15 mins to get our tickets for the skiing equipment. The classes was at noon so got few hours to explore the resort . Coming to what I did not know , you need to get a locker to keep your things which is a additional cost , along with getting the locker key you need to provide a document such as an Id card , passport and in the worst case they take your credit / debit card which is unsafe . Which also means you cannot buy anything within the park . There is a queue to get a locker and because of luck everyone just felt like skipping the queue and mentioning to the person incharge that they were there earlier . This entire process consumes roughly about 30-45 mins additionally and with a time limit that the park closes it means a lot. Mobile network at this place is limited . The restrooms could be maintained better .

Mall VIVO Los Trapenses

Shopping mall
Shopping
Mall VIVO Los Trapenses is a bustling shopping center that offers various amenities and entertainment options. It features a supermarket, trampoline park, and several restaurants, including Chuck E. Cheese. While it may lack extensive shopping choices, the mall compensates with stunning mountain views. However, some facilities like the restroom lack paper towels or dryers.
Lots of stores with a wide variety of food and services, there's 2 floors and the one below has a supermarket so it's convenient for making all the shopping in one go.

The mall has some great views of the mountains but not many options to shop. The toilet didn't have papel towel nor dryer. Yet is a nice place. I myself came to the kartings course located in the parking lot. Those were great.

New mall in the area. Nice, big, open spaces & good stores. The supermarket there is probably one of the best in the city, with large aisles & never too crowded. The only downside is the layout which can be confusing, a mark of most new malls in the city.

The wines here are delicious especially the white blend. I'm normally not a fan of white wines, but this one was exceptional. I also got to taste a couple of the reds which were very good. Nice small vineyard on your way up to the Andes. Something a little different from the Maipo valley.

Absolutely wonderful experience! I wasn't able to make a reservation online since my trip was very last minute, but they were able to squeeze me into a tasting as a walk in. I only did the tasting, so I can't speak about the tour. Although I did walk around the grounds and the parts I saw were beautiful. The tasting itself included 3 different wines with a small snack plate. The guide spoke English well and was just very hospitable... I forgot her name, but she was great. Since the tour group was only 8 people, it made for a more intimate and personable experience. I enjoyed 2/3 wines and ended up buying a bottle of their Chardonnay. Typically, I'm not a fan of Chardonnay, but their Chardonnay is more similar to French style Chardonnay, which is more crisper and cleaner in taste compared American style Chardonnay. Highly recommend!

Super nice park with marvellous vegetation that looks like Jurassic Park!!
Frederik B — Google review
The park is amazing, and worth a visit. The rangers and administration could use some improvement. I bought tickets online, and reviewed trail maps, planning to summit Cerro La Campana, a route which is discussed on the official park website. Upon arrival, we learned that that trail, as well as most other trails in the park, had been strictly closed for months (not mentioned anywhere on the website) due to some (from the sound of it ignorant and/or careless) hikers having died near the cerro, prompting the park to reevaluate trails, and do work, etc. We were sternly informed we would be fined and have a lot of difficulty if we strayed off the one single route that was open, to portezuelo Ocoa. We politely agreed we understood and we hiked, staying on the allowed route. The hike was lovely. I do recommend the park. However, I was annoyed by the ranger’s attitude, which verged on hostility, and also by the policy of closing down so much of the park, without a warning on the website, in what seemed like an overreactive response to the stupidity or carelessness of two people. In Washington, there are vast swaths of wilderness where people go and risk their lives hiking and climbing and occasionally do die or get seriously injured but they don’t close down the entire trail systems when this happens, as it is well understood that hiking in remote and rough terrain is dangerous and you take that responsibility upon yourself when you do it. I don’t think the park policy of setting an expectation that summiting mountains has to be totally safe is reasonable nor sustainable, and I don’t appreciate rangers treating respectful, responsible visitors like they are presumed criminals who need to be carefully monitored for opportunities for punishment. CONAF, this is NOT how you develop good will with the public and foster a sense of appreciation for this special place.

I visited this beautiful location for a wine tasting. While the two organic wines I sampled weren't to my personal taste, they might appeal to other palates. This producer is apparently one of the largest organic wineries in the world. A highlight of the visit was seeing alpacas up close.

This was a highly enjoyable and informative visit to an organic winery located in the picturesque wine growing region near Casablanca Chile which is a little inland from Valparaiso. Our guide at the winery provided an excellent overview of the winery and the vineyards. He spoke fluent English, was professional and courteous. The actually wine tasting portion of the tour was pleasant and enlightening. The shop at the winery was nicely organized and elegant. The staff at the shop were courteous and English speaking. The restroom was clean and well maintained. This distinguished winery is well worth a visit when in the Valparaiso region and successfully showcases the professionalism and high quality of the Chilean wine industry.

Not the largest scale winery, but that’s why we loved it. Felt very quaint and the property was stunning with all the plants and animals walking around. We were almost the only ones there so got to sit at the bar inside and talk with the lovely staff the whole time. Their red blend was delicious and the tasting was accompanied by chocolate pairing which was the best!

Beautiful sustainable winery! It's definitely worth a visit (or two, as was my case 🙂). The wines are very good, especially the local Coyam and the Gewurztraminer. Plus, we had the chance to take a stroll through the winery, their organic farm, visit their chickens, and pet the alpacas! It was a wonderful experience.

We visited Emiliana winery with our children for a tour and were very impressed. The tour guide was excellent and able to answer even our most difficult questions. Snacking on grapes while walking and petting the local llamas, the tour was enjoyable for both adults and children. We were a bit worried about the tasting, because although we were told the kids would get grape juice. how do you make them drink during the whole tasting? Imagine our surprise, when the kids had 4 different grape juices to match our wines and got their personalized tasting experience! Recommend visiting!

What a wonderful experience in Casas del Bosque vineyard! The staff are super nice and the place is wonderfully decorated. We were super lucky to have a private tour by Alejandro who was super informed and told us all about the wine making process while visiting the different parts of the wine making process. Wine tasting at the end was also excellent, with Alejandro’s narration, in a beautiful tasting room. We did this together with a tasting menu lunch at their Tanino restaurant which is also excellent. Very good ! Nice beach, but considering it’s a Chilean Pacific beach, that means , cold water, windy and not a real real summer. The beach almost disappears because of the short beach and is always like a well and is quite dangerous. It is not a beach suitable for swimming or enjoying the water. But the palace is beautiful because of the people that are almost all of them Mendocineans. It’s a nice place I think one of the best close to Santiago. But summarizing Chilean beaches are not good at all. Atlantic is way way better with Long Beaches… But the view is beautiful!!

Reñaca is an area known for its beaches and balnearios located in the Valparaiso Region of Chile. Situated along the coastline, the city of Reñaca is near the city of Viña del Mar. The two are connected by a long coastal road named Avenida Borgoño. Reñaca serves as a residential area predominantly catering to the upper-middle class, and provides a coastal lifestyle with access to amenities and recreational activities. Reñaca is at the northernmost extreme of the city of Viña del Mar and has been incorporated by it. The beach of Cochoa and the town of Concón is located to the north along the coast road. The lower part of the hill overlooking the beach is covered with residential buildings up the hillside. The town also extends eastward up the valley through which the Estero de Reñaca flows, where the majority of the year-round population lives.

We stopped at beach as part of the tour. It was empty when we went there, spotted sealions and pelicans

Beautiful beach, water is on the cold side. Few people, great place for long walks on the beach. Tall waves, not safe for small children.
Oana-Meda P — Google review
The north sections of the beach is knowed as one of the best spots to surf near Santiago. Really fun, lots of barrels but really crowded

The Flower Clock, located in Vina del Mar, Chile, is a stunning garden clock adorned with vibrant flowers. Built to commemorate the 1962 World Cup hosted by Vina del Mar, this fully functional timepiece features a face made entirely of flowers meticulously maintained to not obstruct its white metal hands. Every 15 minutes, the clock chimes and plays seasonal music. A popular spot for visitors seeking picturesque photo opportunities, it stands as a testament to Vina's nickname 'The Garden City.'
This is a beautifully landscaped flower clock that blooms throughout the year and is symbolic of picturesque Viña del Mar. This attraction is definitely worth a visit when in the Valparaiso area of Chile.
Peter K — Google review
It was a flower clock .. what can I say !!!! Ah, Viña del Mar! Okay, the Flower Clock there... right. It's one of those "tourist attraction" things. You know, you see it in the brochures, and you think, "Okay, sure, why not?" And then you get there, and it's… a clock made of flowers. Exactly as advertised. Look, it's not offensive. It's kind of cute, I guess. People were definitely taking photos, doing the whole "pose and smile" routine. I did too, because, well, when in Viña del Mar, right? But let's be honest, it's not exactly a "must-see." It's a quick pit stop, a photo op, and then you're off to find something more interesting. Viña del Mar has so much more to offer – the beaches, the coastline, the gardens. Compared to those, the Flower Clock just feels a bit… meh. It's not that it's bad, it's just that it's not exactly a highlight. If you're walking along the coast, it's a nice little diversion. But if you're on a tight schedule, you're not missing out on much if you skip it. Basically, it's a clock. Made of flowers. In Viña del Mar. If that sounds like your thing, go for it. If not, there are plenty of other, more exciting things to do in the city.
Piyush P — Google review
The maintenance and well manicured flowers was amazing to see up close. You can only appreciate the beauty in person
Prakash P — Google review
A pretty flower clock. The beach is nearby. Worth the 5 min visit to have a quick look, but nothing too special.
Tina — Google review
Standing before the Flower Clock in Viña del Mar felt like stepping into a postcard. The vibrant, meticulously arranged flowers forming the clock face create a stunning contrast against the lush greenery. It's more than just a landmark—it's a symbol of the city's charm and attention to detail.

Hi my name is Daniela, nice place to stop by and take photos. A lot of tourists
Divina D — Google review
Very beautiful and well maintained area. The clock is fully functional, but the area can get very busy with tourists and people. Parking is very limited, and usually, tour busses fill them up. You will only spend a few minutes here, but it's pretty to look at.

La Sebastiana Museo de Pablo Neruda is a hilltop house museum in Valparaiso, Chile, showcasing the personal effects of the renowned poet. Visitors can explore all three levels of Neruda's former residence and admire the city views and harbor below. The museum offers an inside look at his historic 1950s style and sources of inspiration. It is a must-visit for those interested in Latin American literature and provides a unique insight into the life of Pablo Neruda.
Awesome visit. The museum/house is kept in its original state so using the guide takes you a bit back in time and feel the energy that Pablo Neruda and his friends brought to the home.
Vlad V — Google review
The famous Chilenian poet's house. The decoration is quite playful and luxurious. From all the rooms, the view was great. You need to put your backpack in the locker, and it has to be 100-peso coin, that returns when collect your item back. 9500 pesos and the audio guide is included. I would say, 15min is just good enough? Not much to see. The view outside the house(free) is the best photo you would get!
Zara K — Google review
Excellent, must see piece of historical preservation. The self guide audio tour is very ingaging and available in several languages. Surprises on every floor. View over Valparaiso is incredible!
R B — Google review
Amazing five level home overlooking the port city of Valparaiso. It houses an eclectic collection of personal items and furniture from the mind of a Nobel prize winning author. The audio guide well constructed and provides great insight into the man and his world. The views from his office and bedroom are astonishing. It is expensive at $9.000 per ticket, but that helps with maintenance costs and crowd control. We thought it was worth it. Oh, the young men at the entrance to the home were very helpful. They spoke multiple languages.
Paul — Google review
What a fantastic house. You don't even need to be a fan of Pablo Neruda to enjoy a wander around the 5 floors of this beautiful house with some of the best views across Valparaiso and out to sea. I highly recommend a visit.
Tony F — Google review
Interesting insight into one of Chile’s most famous poets. They have audio guides with all the information you need for each of the spaces. The staff are also very helpful and happy.
Hugh — Google review
The place was fantastic to visit. You get an audio guide (free) and you get to visit the five floors of Pablo Neruda's house. Great insights on the poet's life. Don't miss it if you are in Valpo.
Al_ _ — Google review
I recently visited the Pablo Neruda Museum and had a good time. The museum has a lot of interesting information about Neruda's life and work. The exhibits are well-organized, with personal items, photos, and manuscripts that tell his story. One of the best parts was the amazing view from the museum. The scenic location offers beautiful sights that add to the overall experience. It's a peaceful place to enjoy and reflect on Neruda's poetry. However, the ticket price felt a bit too high for what was offered. While the museum is worth visiting, the cost might be too much for some people. Despite this, I recommend it to anyone interested in literature or looking for a lovely spot to visit. Overall, it was an enjoyable and memorable visit.

Cerro Concepcion, a historic hill in Valparaiso, boasts the iconic Ascensor Concepcion funicular dating back to 1883. This popular attraction climbs 69 meters at a 45-degree gradient from Carreno to Paseo Gervasoni. The area is home to Museo El Mirador de Lukas and two significant churches: Iglesia Anglicana San Pablo and Iglesia Luterana.
Absolutely fantastic neighborhood where every single twist and turn leads to absolutely amazing scenery. From the beautiful and meticulously painted start art to the painted fronts of residential buildings and the lovely shops scattered throughout the area. This place is a must see in the port city. All located within the historic quarter and designated as a UNESCO world heritage site which ensures this place remains beautiful for many years to come.

One of the most beautiful places in Chile! I found this place on a Google search as I was looking for a day trip from Santiago. It's about 2 hrs away but a pretty drive in the fall. The town is built on a hill and is a major port of the country. The old buildings are so colorful and pretty! There are lots of good seafood restaurants in the area. Very nice area to walk around. The roads are narrow and tough for cars. Some good viewpoints of the ocean and city as well. Need to come back to explore more!!
Jason F — Google review
This hill is one of the most touristy parts of Valpo so you definitely should check it out, but you can skip the restaurants up there because you're paying for prime real estate instead of the food. It's certainly very colorful and you have to walk through it if you are on a walking tour.

They have all different cartoons on the wall and nice look out Ocean Pacific.
Captain S — Google review
Walk this Neighbourhood. Valparaíso is not a beautiful city, but a rather badly maintained mix of architecture, while having the typical chaos and rowdiness of a traditional port city. Nevertheless the Cerro Concepción thrives in this, allowing the liberty of art and alternative lifestyles to express themselves here. Most houses are covered in graffiti art (or not so art), making for a pleasant walk along its narrow streets and many photo opportunities.
Pedro P — Google review
Nice hill, plenty of little restaurants, there are some public terraces with bay view and lot of streets that go around rustic places. This is a very old city with history all around.

Plaza Sotomayor

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Plaza Sotomayer, located in the heart of the city, is a popular tourist destination due to its impressive architecture and central location. The square is surrounded by busy streets and contains a monument to Chilean naval heroes who lost their lives in the War of the Pacific in 1879.
Plaza Sotomayor is the main square of Valparaíso and a great starting point to explore the city. It’s home to the impressive blue Naval Headquarters building and the Monument to the Heroes of Iquique, which honors Chilean sailors. Surrounded by historic architecture and close to the port, the plaza combines history, culture, and daily local life. A must-see landmark before taking the funiculars up to the colorful hills.

Busy square surrounded by some interesting, historic buildings. Popular place to meet for guided walks. Beware, keep safe, being local advice.

Plaza Santa Maya is a must-visit walk through spot in Valparaíso! It’s beautifully nestled among some important historical buildings and sits right at the base of a couple of the city’s iconic cable cars. From here, you can walk along the waterfront, hop on a boat, or just take in the view. When I visited on a Saturday, there was a charming little craft fair happening, adding even more color and life to the plaza. It’s picturesque, full of character, and a perfect place to snap some great photos. Definitely a gemstone of Valparaíso. Follow me on TikTok for more travel finds! Sage0.x

Plaza Sotomayor is a nice place to walk around, see the monument, and enjoy the old buildings nearby. Everything is close, the port, the pier, and some good cafés where you can relax and have a coffee. It can get a bit crowded, so keep an eye on your things. Overall, a nice and interesting spot to visit in the city.

The city center.. beautiful old colonial building around the plaza. Use the funicular ride to go up the hill. Nice area to explore. Mall are around the plaza, with foodcourt and toilet. Its quite crowded on the afternoon and a nice place to hang around.
Reyner G — Google review
Was ok but no where to park and the plaza is not like the typical plazas we’ve visited where you can grab a bench and relax. It was in the middle of two busy, busy streets.
Kevin F — Google review
This is the center of Valparaiso, near the metro terminal. Many restaurants, local buses, taxi. There is a meeting point nearby for the free tour to visit Valparaiso sightseeing.
Tai T — Google review
When the artisanal market "Victoria Porteña" is there you can see some of the best local art made by porteños themselves such as fine stone jewellery, silk-screen printing, wood-cut printing, wooden puzzles, knitted clothing among others. You can also get great food in the local restaurants around the plaza and visit Muelle Prat for a boat ride. Recently, works have been announced for this place by the city so it could be closed in the near future
