Amazing hike up to Confluencia. The round trip was about 6 hours, allowing for stops for photos, drinks and snacks. The views of Aconcagua and the surrounding mountains are breathtaking. You have to reserve a time online and then pay before you arrive. You check in before you set off as well as when you arrive at the Base camp. Wear sunscreen!

One of the best experiences I had in Argentina. I rented a car in Mendoza and I drove to the National Park. There you can park and walk towards the Cerro Aconcagua. There are plenty of routes for different hiking expertise but check because sometimes the are closed depending on the season. I get to the puente colgante and the views were stunning 😍
Javier G — Google review
Absolutely beautiful scenery. A bit difficult to negotiate the paths as people have strayed from the set routes a lot. Would have loved more time here, it's a fantastic park.
Krystyna W — Google review
5 stars for the park - 1 star for the reservation / payment / access process The access procedure is soooo complicated but absolutely worth it!. Please make sure to preregister your visit on the Parque Aconcagua site. When you get to the main entrance you will need this in order to pay your entrance to the park. Once the payment is completed then you have to go to the office next door to show proof of payment where you will receive the ticket to access the park. Honestly, too many steps that could be combined in just one. If you are driving, you will be able to access the park for around 1 km, then you will have a 15 minute walk to the first lookout at about 3,000 meters. From here you have an amazing view of the Aconcagua. For those fit individuals, you can keep walking for another 45 minutes to another lookout / bridge.
Carmen L — Google review
Great park, quick walks with great views of the Aconcagua. Friendly park staff, free bathrooms and it was also free to go up the road (Nov 2025)
Emmanuel C — Google review
Otherworldly landscape. Air is slightly thinner as hikes start nay 3000m. Be sure to bring cash to pay entry, it's possible to pay with card but they charge 20% more.
Sven R — Google review
Amazing landscape, you have to make a reservation in advance and check in when you arrive in the park but they provide you with a bag for garbage and some other useful information. Just be careful with the mean of transport if you're using the bus because they don't drop you off very close to the park entrance and you have to walk a few kilometers by the highway
Rareș M — Google review
Amazing park just on the east side of Andes mountains. The welcome center had very good and helpful information. The views are spectacular and breath taking. The hiking trails run for many kilometers and every step of the way was wonderful. Highly recommended you take extra water and a wind breaker because the winds sometimes can pick up. Fully enjoyed hiking here in view of the tallest mountain in South America.

Restaurant
Espacio Salentein is a modern winery located in the UCO Valley, surrounded by stunning views of mountains and vineyards. The building itself is made of cast concrete and offers a unique setting for wine enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy an exquisite menu paired with fine wines while taking in the beautiful Andes scenery. The venue also hosts art events, musical shows, and even serves as a destination wedding location.
Great place but make sure you reserve first or else you're stuck with just walking the grounds. Amazing menu, it's an experience for the senses. Great food, wine acompanied by a beautiful view of the Andes, there's nothing like it. If you smoke, you can step out onto the porch and sit in the sofas-enjoy an incredible view, don't forget your wine glass. Great service and I recommend buying their wine glasses at the gift shop and the olive oil. 🫒
Maria L — Google review
We arrived there just on time for lunch. We were on one of the first tables to be seated. After choosing our menu and getting our first plate we realized that all the other tables had gotten some bread with some type of sauce. They forgot about us and totally pretended not to see that (even when they came to take the plates). The food is really good! But nothing special at all. I’d expect something more elaborated for this price (10,500.00 per person). The second thing that got me intrigued is that there was a street dog roaming around the restaurant and the waiters pretended that it was something normal. The dog was full of fleas and totally not taken care of. None of the waiters took the dog away (you would expect a high level restaurant not to have street animals roaming between the tables). At some point the dog even jumped on my GF and got her blouse mud dirty. The third and last thing was that there was SO MUCH trash on the grass. Pieced of paper, plastic, cigarettes. It seems like no one has ever cleaned that up. In the end, I’d recommend you to take the tour but eat somewhere else (maybe even better for that price tag). I didn’t enjoy it at all.
Tales P — Google review
This was overpriced and awful. Driest pork I’ve had in my life.
Jenny P — Google review
Great experience. Interesting tour with unique elements to this winery and cellar. Nice wines. Beautiful setting. Friendly duck that roams the grounds.
Daniel G — Google review
Great experience! Great service ! Its a must in Mendoza
Vivian M — Google review
My wife and I had a fabulous time on a private tour at Bodega Salentein. Our tour guide, Marcelo, made the experience memorable with his passionate and knowledgeable presentation, and we felt so very welcomed. The six wines we tried were all excellent and each at the top of its class. Our favorite was the Numina Gran Corte, which is a blend of malbec, cabernet, merlot, cab franc, and petit verdot. The Primus malbec 2015 was excellent as well. The tour normally takes 1.5 hours but we got along so well with Marcelo, it was well over 2 hours and we were still in tasting room when Marcelo finally was asked to move on. Just to demonstrate the tremendous hospitality this Bodega shows its visitors. Would love to re-visit next time we're in Mendoza.

Farellones

Ski resort
Tours
Modest resort offering skiing & tubing, plus mountain biking & zip lines in the summer.
a beautiful, quiet, wild place. We managed to find them when there were no tourists. no tickets needed, there is free parking nearby.
Katarzyna P — Google review
If you come here to do activities, don’t expect to do much. The average wait time to go sledding, tubing, ziplining, etc. is 2-3 hours. They so play cannot handle the amount of people. Please see my video as it is just a simple example of a line here even after an hour. You can see multiple other lines as well. The fastest way to move up in the line is people giving up and leaving the line. We came with a tour so didn’t have to wait in a ticket line which was also huge in the morning. On another note, The Mountain views are pretty cool. If you want to just see snow and hang out, I guess it would be fine.
James S — Google review
Very good to play with the snow, has a few attractions to visit and it is really enjoyable. It's recommended to go there to be all day long, just a few hours it isn't worth the entrance price.
Gabriel S — Google review
Nice place to enjoy whatever the snow can offer. Full of activities, place to eat and the most the ski adventures. Unfortuanely on my day wasnt much snow but for the magical place, worth the visit.
OSHENT S — Google review
Visited about a month ago , went through a tour agency. Park has a lot of activities along with skiing lessons or snow boarding lessons . I was recommended the skiing lessons by the tour guide and we reached around 11 am . We had to wait for about 10-15 mins to get our tickets for the skiing equipment. The classes was at noon so got few hours to explore the resort . Coming to what I did not know , you need to get a locker to keep your things which is a additional cost , along with getting the locker key you need to provide a document such as an Id card , passport and in the worst case they take your credit / debit card which is unsafe . Which also means you cannot buy anything within the park . There is a queue to get a locker and because of luck everyone just felt like skipping the queue and mentioning to the person incharge that they were there earlier . This entire process consumes roughly about 30-45 mins additionally and with a time limit that the park closes it means a lot. Mobile network at this place is limited . The restrooms could be maintained better .
Christine P — Google review
It is an amazing park, there are lots of snow attractions. If you are visiting Santiago, you will love meeting this place.
Guilherme V — Google review
Its pretty. The rides are kind of small But fun. The problem is you wait in line a lot. Overall a fun.

From this iconic spot, visitors can enjoy breathtaking 360º panoramas of Santiago and its surroundings, including views of the Andes mountains. If you like altitude, I highly recommend! I was surprised at the low price and high-quality meal I received in the restaurant area of the top floor. Very enjoyable to sit there at a window table with this view and a delicious dinner. I will definitely repeat this experience next time I am in Santiago.
Kurt D — Google review
Fantastic! Built in 2015, and currently the tallest building in South America, I would say it’s well-worth it for the views! It’s 20,000 CLP for adults, and it’s one of the highlights of Santiago. A great place to admire the view, and capture some great photos! There’s also a nice bar/restaurant that can be good (otherwise, there are more food options in the main mall). There are bathrooms and a gift store, too. Can definitely recommend! By yourself, a date, or with your family and friends!!
Sang K — Google review
A must-visit in Santiago! Check the weather forecast so you can really enjoy it and see the Andes. The staff is super friendly and helpful. On both floors of the viewpoint, there are decorated spots perfect for taking photos to post. Amazing 360º view of the city!
Amauri — Google review
Gorgeous city views. One of a kind. They have a second floor where you feel the air from outside cause it's open roof but the windows are all like 40 feet tall, so you technically do feel like you're still indoors.
Isabel S — Google review
Sky Costanera is a must-visit landmark in Santiago. This impressive skyscraper features an observation deck at the very top, offering breathtaking 360° views of the city and the majestic Andes mountains. The experience is unforgettable, especially on clear days when the Cordillera de Los Andes looks spectacular in the background. It’s one of the best ways to truly appreciate the scale and beauty of Santiago.
Joan T — Google review
Wow! An absolute must try! $20 USD to get to the top of the tower. It has two levels for viewing. One of them is open roof. There is also a restaurant that has amazing food and equally amazing prices. Try to get up there before sunset. As the sun sets and night moves in, the views continue to change and they just keep getting better. 10/10!
Brock R — Google review
What a view and this part of town is a contrast to the older quarter of Santiago. The place is well run, no issues getting in and out. Everything was explained to us by an English speaking guide. Well organized. Loved the view from the top.
Sumiitra S — Google review
Obviously, the views are sensational with Santiago city set against the Andes. Nice restaurant, very well priced. Good selection of food and beverages. Worth a visit to the mall attached to it. Hard Rock Cafe is a bonus

Great place to just walk around, shop, dine and relax. 6 floors of best shopping in Santiago. Great views from the 5th floor of dining and plenty of underground parking space. Highly recommend.
Mark P — Google review
Hi my nae is Daniela. This mall is huge. A lot of brands, you can find a bit of everything. Prices are like in EU, not really local things but the surrounding zone to the mall looks very interesting
Divina D — Google review
This mall offers a large selection of brand names like Nike, North Face, Columbia, Gap etc. The pricing is higher than in US for certain brands and therefore I didn't buy anything. However, I liked visiting the Decathlon store, which is a discount sporting goods retailer and without any stores in the US. Overall I enjoyed the clean and relaxed atmosphere with enough benches and restrooms on each level. They have also USB ports and free WiFi for their customers. The Jumbo supermarket is a plus with a large variety of foods and reasonably priced.
Emmi P — Google review
Wonderful shopping area but many items are expensive even by U.S. dollar standards in June of 2025. Come ready to spend!

Ate at El Japones and Frida Kahlo. Pinku sake dish was excellent. Vibe and decor at Frida was brill.
Baij P — Google review
This was a great experience to have while visiting Santiago. When we were there, it was $20 an adult, and we went during sunset on a Friday, and it was pretty busy. There was live music though, and space to see through all the windows. The cafe filled up before we got there. The topmost deck is open to the air, so dress appropriately, but the lower floor is air-conditioned. You exit through the 5th food court, which was immense!!!

Visitors can hike up the hill or take the popular funicular train to reach the top. At the summit, they can admire the statue of the Virgin Mary and enjoy panoramic views of the city while savoring local refreshments.
Visited Chile last year. A beautiful and peaceful place with amazing views of Santiago. I could even see in the distance, the snow on a part of the Andes mountain range. It was great.
Sumiitra S — Google review
The 22-meter statue on San Cristóbal Hill, dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, was designed by Italian sculptors Luigi Poletti and Giuseppe Obici, and was constructed by the French foundry Val D'Osne. Although it's cloudy day, tourists still crowded. The cable car took us to a platform where there are lots of souvenir stores , food stalls, then taking about 100 steps to the top. I wish I had enough time to climb up all the way to the top myself. The overview was excellent even in a cloudy day.
Zemin B — Google review
Takes around 40 minutes to walk up the hill, no entrance fee. Very beautiful view of Santiago, especially during sunset. It is possible to take the cable car too, if you don't want to walk up or down.
Tina — Google review
One of the highlights of the city. It's a nice walk up, but if you do, start early in the morning. It gets very warm, without much shade. Overall, very nice views of the city! Would come here more than once when I lived in Santiago.

Recoleta is a lively and diverse district of Santiago, known for its mix of culture, history, and everyday local life. It’s famous for the Patronato neighborhood, where you’ll find bustling markets, street food, and affordable shopping, reflecting the area’s strong immigrant influence. Recoleta is also home to the Cementerio General, one of the largest cemeteries in Latin America, full of history and impressive mausoleums. Close to central Santiago, it’s an interesting place to explore if you want to see a more authentic side of the city beyond the tourist areas. It has magnificent views to the city.

Came on Saturday afternoon to finish my day at this vibrant open-air area. Enjoy some casual dining, and was able to pick up last-minute gifts, and take in the lively atmosphere before heading to the airport. Worth stopping by if you’re around

This area had a fun vibe with plenty of restaurants and shops to explore. We ate at the BBQ place which was one of the best spots we ate at in Santiago. We would definitely recommend!

Patio Bellavista is a lively and stylish spot in Santiago, perfect for exploring shops, restaurants, and cafes. The atmosphere is vibrant, with a mix of locals and tourists enjoying the open-air setting. If you’re a meat lover, Texas Ribs is a solid choice for hearty dishes. We stopped by a café, soaking in the relaxed ambiance while sipping coffee. The variety of shops is impressive, offering everything from artisanal crafts to high-end fashion, but prices can be steep. While it’s a great place to wander and experience Santiago’s energy, be prepared for premium pricing.
Santanu M — Google review
Is a lively spot in the city, perfect for spending time exploring shops, restaurants, trying new food and buying souvenirs. It has a great variety of places to eat and drink, as well as a mix of shops. There’s parking available right in front of Patio Bellavista, which is convenient, but it’s a bit pricey. For less than 40 minutes, we ended up paying 2000 CLP. But the cost for a whole day is 6500 CLP, what’s actually not bad. Restroom facilities: The toilets are not the cleanest, and they charge 500 CLP per visit. Could definitely be improved, especially considering the fee.

Good place to buy souvenirs, more reasonably priced. I bought an Incan chess set for CLP35,000 in Valparaiso, but it’s CLP20,000 here. Should have come here earlier. The place is close to a few universities.

Foodie heaven. So much fun. Great atmosphere, music and selection of food. Perfect place for date night. Highly recommend.

Contemporary modern and chic shopping mall.👍 Loads of eateries, pubs, lounges and restaurants to cater to all kinds of taste buds and age groups. Live music and cozy ambience all around makes you feel relaxed and in the mood to wine and dine. Its a tourist hot spot so crowded most of the times. I spent an entire afternoon here and it was well worth it. Enjoyed every bit from the food to the shops to the local culture. Neat and clean open areas with well maintained roof top gardens and public spaces. Tasty food. Reasonable prices. Helpful staff. Overall a memorable experience with my local friends!👌

Santa Lucía Hill, a small urban hill in the heart of Santiago, Chile, holds great historical and cultural significance as it was the site where Pedro de Valdivia founded the city in the mid-sixteenth century. The picturesque park on the hill features terraces, fountains, and a summit viewpoint offering magnificent panoramic views of Santiago. With charming hidden corners like the Neptune Fountain and Hidalgo Castle, this area is a must-visit for its beauty and historical importance.
Cool place with a nice view. Probably a must go if you’re visiting Santiago. Be aware that it’s a LOT of stairs to climb.

Beautiful hill in the heart of Santiago with gardens, fountains, and historic architecture. The climb is not too difficult and rewards you with amazing panoramic views of the city and the Andes. A perfect spot for a short walk, photography, or just relaxing in nature while still being in the city center.

Best place to start your sightseeing trip in Santiago! Beautiful views from the top of the mountains. There are a lot of stairs and walking uphill, so wear comfortable shoes. It was free to get in. Just show your passport number. The hill is very well maintained with flowers and plants, even in the winter. Great place to spend some time exploring the whole family. Very safe for tourists and spectacular views!

Winery Casas del Bosque is a sprawling 580-acre vineyard renowned for its cool climate wines and upscale dining options. Visitors can enjoy guided tours and tastings, as well as a relaxing terrace area. The winery offers an excellent six-course menu paired with their exquisite wines, making it an ideal spot for a romantic experience. Guests can also partake in the unique opportunity to blend their own distinctive cuvee under the guidance of knowledgeable staff.
Highly recommend visiting this winery when you are in the area, definitely was on the busier side but very much worth it. The property was gorgeous and we went on a tour where we learned a lot about the wine in this region. Before the tour we were able to eat lunch at the restaurant, I would recommend getting a reservation, we were lucky to sit down and eat without one. Food was top notch!! A must visit!

What a wonderful experience in Casas del Bosque vineyard! The staff are super nice and the place is wonderfully decorated. We were super lucky to have a private tour by Alejandro who was super informed and told us all about the wine making process while visiting the different parts of the wine making process. Wine tasting at the end was also excellent, with Alejandro’s narration, in a beautiful tasting room. We did this together with a tasting menu lunch at their Tanino restaurant which is also excellent. A perfect wine tasting experience!! Cannot recommended enough!

El Yeso Dam, created in 1964 by damming the Yeso river, is a stunning reservoir offering activities like fishing and windsurfing. The location boasts breathtaking scenery with a small coastline at the end of the dam, perfect for relaxation, camping, and photography. Accessible via a narrow dirt road with striking drop-offs, it's advisable to drive carefully. Whether visiting in summer or winter, the views are truly spectacular and worth the trip from Santiago.
Beautiful scenery, majestic mountains. Short ride from Santiago. Worth visiting.

Absolutely beautiful but the road feels like a death trap
Sophia D — Google review
I came here on a day trip from Santiago as I wanted to cross the Andes off my list, but this is one of the few places I felt was a waste of time and money. It looks beautiful in winter, but in the summer it's just barren rock. But even so, it's just a reservoir surrounded by low barren mountains, nothing special. I can drive a couple hours from my house and see much nicer alpine lakes. If you've never been to the mountains before, sure you come here. Othwerwise, it's not worth it at all. Not to mention when we were there, there were tour vans illegally driving on the path and some local kid threw a rock at a fox. Actually, the fox sighting was the only thing that made it worth it.
Briantravelman — Google review
Is a very scenic place with turquoise water and mountain views. The road is narrow and partly unpaved, so drive carefully. Nearby there is a small, mediocre café where you can buy water, empanadas, and instant coffee, but it’s better to bring everything with you. A quiet spot for photos and short walks.

A very beautiful place. The scenery was amazing, I totally enjoyed the view despite the freezing cold. This is a place totally worth visiting

Fantastic view. Out of this world colours of the water, mountains birds. Great to have parking place and cute cafes in the way. Road by car is not for the faint hearted but totally passable with a normal car.
Aga A — Google review
Wonderful place! It's different in summer and winter and on both seasons the view is amazing. It's really close to Santiago and on summer you can go just by yourself. Rent a car and take your time there, guided tours will be expensive and you'll leave the place still wanting to stay a little longer. On winter though maybe a guided tour would be safer but on summer, go by yourself on a rented car!
Josimar A — Google review
Visited this wonderful location twice whilst on a trips to Santiago. We went both times with a great company called Ski total and arrived at the location after approx 2hr drive out of the city. The scenery is truly breathtaking and stunning with plenty of wonderful photo opportunities. There is a mobile refreshment van a short walk away if your feeling a bit peckish and a picnic area with toilets a short 10 min drive away. It really is a must visit location if visiting Santiago.

Viña Concha y Toro is a family-run wine estate that offers tours of its cellars and vineyards, including the Casillero del Diablo cellar where the legend of the wine began. Visitors can explore the 19th-century gardens of the Concha y Toro family's former summer residence and stroll through a picturesque garden with over 24 grape varieties. The tour also includes a visit to Pirque Viejo vineyard and an impressive panoramic view of Maipo Valley.
amazing place with a lot of information and culture about Chilean wine. The environment is beautiful, clean, organized and they have an amazing structure for visitants to have a 10/10 experience. I recommend to buy the cheese + wine tour, this way you can learn how to harmonize wine with different types of cheese.

What a magical winery! You are literally right in the middle of the city and all of a sudden there's the winery grounds. It's beautiful. The tour is fun and informative plus you get a nice tasting of their wines. They recently opened up a new bar area or champagne tasting room as well. The birds and wildlife on the grounds are fabulous, many even have their own names. If you're in Santiago, definitely make the hour or so trip to visit. It's worth it.
Michelle R — Google review
We attended the opening night event at this vineyard and were given a tour of the cellars. Stunning venue. Beautiful setting. Has an impressive bar lined with wine bottles. On the tour of the cellars they have a room where you can smell all the aromas in wine seperately. The cellar tour is very high tech but probably appeals more to the younger crowd. This cellar is famous for their Casillero del Diablo wine. We had a wonderful evening!
Mark C — Google review
It's very nice to see how a mass producer of wine does it. Although there is very little production on site, the tour itself was nice. It's a short getaway from the city. The guide was knowledgeable (WSET Level 2) and pleasant. Overall, I liked it. Wouldn't come back for the tour, but if you want to see a vineyard around Santiago, this is a nice one to do. In the wine tasting, you get to try 4 wines and they are certainly above average to good!
Gertjan V — Google review
Our visit to Viña Concha y Toro was an unforgettable experience—the vineyard itself is breathtaking, the tour was informative, and the wine tastings were absolutely top-tier. That said, our day started on the wrong foot thanks to the trio of ticketing ladies at the entrance, who seemed personally offended by our presence. They were painfully slow, clearly confused by their own computer system, and lacked even a shred of enthusiasm or basic courtesy. It was as if customer service had been stomped out like a bad grape. Thankfully, the rest of the staff and the vineyard’s charm more than made up for that awkward, quite irritating interaction. 4/5 stars due to tour guide Felipe absolutely crushing the tour. He is an asset to that business.

This was an amazing experience! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Manuela our tour guide was able to communicate simultaneously in English and Portuguese with a great energy. Romina the sommelier gave us the Marques tasting, it was fantastic! She explained everything that even a novice like me could follow along with!
Louis K — Google review
Overall experience is pretty bad. We took Cellar Collection tour (120k CLP ~120 USD). The wines were good, some were outstanding (5 in cellar collection degustation, 4 in regular one). Guide and sommelier were friendly and professional. BUT: the dinner in Bodega 1883, that we bought online (50k CLP ~ 50 USD online), was awful. All 3 courses were bad, 1 glass of wine was terrible (it seems it was most basic one. In the winery for 50 bucks!). The cherry on top: elixir cassilero del diablo (Porto wine type) online is 30k CLP per glass and on-site is 20k CLP. Anyways the elixir is pretty weak Porto and not worth 120 USD per bottle.

This is the best visitor experience at a vineyard I’ve been to anywhere in the world. They have invested heavily in an excellent audio visual experience that takes you through the winemaking process. It really is first class. And it’s with paying for the higher end food and tasting options- again, exceptional quality. There’s some stuffiness about Concho y Toro for being ‘commercial’ but this experience reinforces their credentials as serious quality producers

Casa de Isla Negra is a ship-like former home and burial site of the renowned poet Pablo Neruda. Situated on a windswept ocean headland, this was Neruda's favorite house, built in the 1950s during his affluent years. The museum showcases exhibits about the poet and his diverse collections. Despite being stormed by soldiers after the 1973 military coup, it remains a beautiful place to visit.
The house of Pablo Neruda a poeta a Novel Price winner, a Chilean icon. The place is on the ocean literally build on the rocks on isla Negra. Now become pretty tourists and is quite difficult to find parking space. Overall is a good place to visit and shop traditional Chilean souvenir.
Margarita B — Google review
My third visit to this amazing museum. Enjoy the eclectic collectibles gathered by Neruda on his world travels. Be sure to watch the film at the beginning (Spanish with English subtitles) as it provides essential historical context for the wonders you will see on the tour. Self-guided with a recording for each "stop". The restaurant has excellent food, with a menu inspired by Neruda's own culinary tastes and life story. He was particularly fond of hearty soups and stews! Perfect food if the weather is chilly...on an astounding patio overlooking the pounding surf of the Pacific. Excellent gift shop with books, clothing and collectibles. Lovely setting - public beach below, steps from the door of the museum. However, do not swim as the undertow is an extreme hazard. There are many artisans and craftspeople selling jewelry and souvenirs outside.
Lisa M — Google review
Beautiful setting, fascinating glimpse into the life of one of Chile's best loved figures. There is a local craft market nearby as well.
Tory W — Google review
Very nice museum/house! The introductory video was not too long and had English subtitles and helpful to watch. The waiting queue was a little long, but easy to manage with company. The audio guide was good to hear and also available in different languages as also the tour guide/aid spoke English. The audio chapters were interesting, maybe still a little too long, but all in all also just nice to stay in the rooms and not hushed away. The house and the story behind was impressive. Even would visit again!
Lee Z — Google review
I have been to Casa Isla Negra several times. It never fails to disappoint. Each time I see new details I may not have seen in previous visits. It really is an interesting place to visit. It is a little sad to see that the land is reclaiming Neruda's boat. I'm not sure if it may be preserved at some point.
Robert F — Google review
The experience of being in the house where Neruda spent the last years of his life is magical. We analyze many details and objects of the place with their narration devices, which are available in Spanish, English and Portuguese. I went there about 16:10 and could only enter the house one hour later, because of the long line. Not only the interior of the house is amazing, but the view is also magnificent, the beach and the seagulls and the clear sky... It was totally worth the price.
Miyuki M — Google review
Literally the most beautiful of all three houses, and absolutely huge. Looks like a castle. It's a little out of the way, but absolutely worth your time. After you're done in the house, you can go to the restaurant in the museum for some good food or to the Isla negra Beach that the house faces (careful, it's a no-swim zone). The house has boat and train aesthetics, and most of his collections that aren't books (it's too humid). Don't take photos inside!
Olga S — Google review
I love all 3 of the Neruda house museums. Each and every one of them shows his creativity and warm, caring human spirit. I feel I get a glimpse of his soul in his houses.

The vineyard benefits from unique mesoclimates created by cool breezes near the river, making it ideal for cultivating various grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and white-wine grapes.
Had such a great time on the Founders Tour. My wife, friends, and I spent a few hours. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and did the tour in english with us. She was amazing for our group to ask questions as well as laugh with. The wine was excellent at a great price as well.

Fun winery tour - Javiera was a wonderful English speaking guide. The wines are great, and explained well. I wish we could have wine poured to drink during the walking tour. Of all the wines we had in Chile, Undurraga was our favorite. We brought back several bottles to the US.
Brett S — Google review
This was my first time in an actual winery. They had an English language tour which was great. The wine was fantastic. The indigenous artefacts and trees of the property are amazing. Eating grapes off the vine was also a fun experience. They have done a really great job with the place. The guide Mat was really good and explained everything so well. I visited in the summer of 2024 and really enjoyed going to Vina Undurraga. Chilean wine is much better than anything from Australia or New Zealand and I continue to buy Undurraga wine even after returning to Malaysia.
Sumiitra S — Google review
I didn't have high expectations of a winery tour but Undurraga surpassed even the highest expectations. We were in a group and they gave us a wonderful English speaking guide, and off we went. The vineyard was formerly family owned, and has a great botanical garden as a buffer to the vineyard from the offices. They took us out to see the vines, showed us the differences in the leaves between varietals, gave us a history lesson. Then they took us through the fermentation and storage areas, and we learned about casks, etc. After that there was a small exhibit on native peoples, and some wagons and tractors. And then a tasting of 5 different types of wine, which were all delicious and the goblet was a souvenir. So much so almost everyone on the tour bought wine in the shop before hitting the bus. Would definitely go again, and will look for their wines!

Valentina is a wonderful tour guide!! She answered all my questions and led a fantastic wine tasting in the cellar. If you only visit one vineyard in the area, let it be Santa Rita! I arrived at 10:30am and stayed all day until close. Such beautiful gardens, delicious wine, a fascinating museum, and well organized operations with English speaking guides and very helpful staff. Don’t miss Dona Paula, the onsite restaurant. I had lunch with the friends I made on my tour and cannot recommend it enough, especially our server Luis 🤍

A wonderful experience in the Maipo Valley! We had the chance to visit Santa Rita Winery, and it was a truly memorable experience. The tour of the vineyard and the cellar was both informative and enjoyable, with our guide sharing the rich history of the winery in a very engaging way. The wine tasting was excellent, with generous pours and a great selection of their labels. An added bonus to the visit is the Andean Museum, which is included in the tour and offers a surprisingly impressive collection of pre-Columbian and colonial artifacts. It’s a beautiful space that really adds cultural depth to the overall experience. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Santiago and want to explore Chilean wine culture at its best!
Miguel O — Google review
Brilliant. You can do an hour tour there. It’s fascinating, can be done in a few languages. You end up trialling some really nice wine in their cellar with very generous portions. We got a free wine glass for each of us and then went to their shop where it’s amazingly cheap! We bought 12 bottles at a great price and they’re very happy to let you test the bottles you’re looking at so you can decide to buy or not.
Andrew N — Google review
I combined Santa Rita with Concha y Torro. The tour in Santa Rita was better, due to the things you see in the winery and vineyard. The guide was also very knowledgeable and entertaining. The wine was better at other places, although you get to try 4 wines. If you want to look how a mass producer does it, this is the preferable spot! If you want the best wine in Chile, it's not what I would recommend.

Concha y Toro was a bit nicer - but 100% worth to visit Santa Rita, learn more about its story, why 130 is such an important number and its rich gardens around the hotel.

The grounds are pretty nice with most historical cellar we have seen in the Santiago area. The wine pairings come with cheese and nuts so that was good. Our guide however was very disengaged and really without much knowledge of the wine or it's makings. A bit disappointed because of that.

The Colchagua Museum, inaugurated in 1995, is a charming complex dedicated to preserving and promoting Chile's cultural heritage. Privately owned by Don Carlos Cardoen, it showcases exhibits on Chilean natural history, pre-Columbian art, and culture. The museum offers a brief introduction to the earth's origins and delves into the history of southern American cultures that once inhabited Chilean lands. Visitors can explore different periods of Chilean history through an extensive collection of artifacts.
Excellent museum. 10 minute video to start in english or Spanish. Sadly their exhibits are all in spanish. Wonderful collection maybe a bit eclectic. Well worth the entrance, well lite displays.

Absolutely stunning. An unbelievably extensive collection of fascinating objects, beautifully displayed and clearly very well taken care of. I questioned why the ticket covers 24 hours but after the museum I agree that there is too much to really see for one day! I go to a lot of museums but this has to be my all time favourite. I really enjoyed seeing the early marking machinery and the early tank. There is also a wide gauge steam loco with beautifully preserved rolling stock. A real joy to visit.

Indeed a very interesting museum and well worth your time and money! They have a collection on basically everything, from fossils to ancient ages to conquistadors and the modern age. Impressive set of artefacts and stories, you could spend more than a day there. I really do recommend. And they have a nice, safe, free parking just in front 😀

Unmissable collection of thousand of well curated pieces of Chilean and universal history, your ticket is 24 hrs long so you can comeback to see every item
Andres C — Google review
Without any doubt, the Colchagua museum is a must while in Santa Cruz if you like museums, of course, it has a brief introduction on how earth started, main ages from the paleozoic era l till our days, and it gets more detail in the southern American cultures, getting more detailed towards the ones who occupied the actual Chilean land, most of then sadly extinguished by the colonization process, who is also depicted, as well as the different periods of the Chilean history to finally ends with the Colchagua valley and its huasos, in brief, is a history tell as a funnel converging in this territory. It also has an industrialization area, mainly represented by late XIX and early XX centuries, beautiful machines, definitely lovely and also liked it very much a huge collection of amber with lot of bugs and plants captured within, you have the help of augmented lens to see them through the light. Sounds good, right? It is indeed, the only missing star is because some info is not totally accurate and most because there's no written info in other language than Spanish, that's all.
Eric S — Google review
Excellent, excellent museum covering the whole history of Chile from prehistory up until the present, with especially impressive collections of precolumbian art, jewelry and tapestry. It's a private collection of impressive scale and quality. There are also fascinating exhibits on weapons, carriages and even the Chilean miner rescue of 2010. My whole family loved this museum
Ben C — Google review
This museum is huge, i didn't think I'd spent this much time there but it was definitely needed. You'll end up going through a lot of history of Chile, from the oldest to recent stuff. The collection of items and artefacts us to be seen, be ready to spend hours wandering around. The building itself is a piece of history being a reconstruction after the previous building was torn down by an earthquake

During our excursion, we did try to get to the top of the volcano using a 4x4, but we gave up due to the amount of snow that was on the road. However, we saw it from another place called "Parque De Nieve Batea Mahuida". I am just so glad that we did Not Give Up On It because I Really Love Volcanoes! (Translated by Google) It's truly what I was looking for in a ski resort! It's a family-friendly, non-commercial place where people feel comfortable and enjoy all the activities the mountain offers. I want to highlight the excellent ski instructors; my 8-year-old son learned in three classes. The snowmobile excursion to the Argentina-Chile border is spectacular! The food at the cafe is very good; at least we loved the pizza we ate. And the best of all is the ample space to enjoy the snow however you want, from having a picnic, hiking, sledding, or skiing! Many thanks to the Mapuche community for being so welcoming and allowing us to enjoy these wonderful days at Batea Mahuida!

Nature & Parks
Waterfalls
Popular spot in the jungle for hiking, swimming and picnics, with deep blue ponds and a waterfall.
The day was perfect, without clouds.. very sunny and clear sky. The temperature was great, and we could enjoy all the paths around the river and the falls.
Alex Y — Google review
Waterfalls everywhere and a lot of beauty to discover. If you walk all the way to the back, you will see really blue water.
My G — Google review
This is what they call "the second entrance" to the Ojos de Caburga and where you can actually see the 3 waterfalls aligned, and the 4th on the other side. On the first entrance, along the S-905 road, the views are very limited. To get here by bus, you should get off at the El Cristo stop, walk +- 2km along the road S-919, and there will be signs indicating the way. The entrance was 2000 clp. Around noon is when the sun light hits all of the lagoon and the view is prettier.
Louise O — Google review
It's ok. Maybe better in the summer? A few dinky little waterfalls and some clear water pools. I wasn't that impressed.
Nathan J — Google review
We were very positively surprised. Entrance is 2000 CLP and there is a lot of well maintained infrastructure, including modern bathrooms and multiple platforms to have a good view on the different waterfalls and lagoons. Apparently there are two divided properties with different entrances. I would recommend the one marked as "Parque Ojos del Caburgua", which has a better angle on the site.
F S — Google review
Beautiful blue clear water pools surrounded by waterfalls. Plenty of picnic tables and places to sit and have lunch. The walks to see all the waterfalls is short and we’ll maintained with viewing decks and paths. It cost 10,000 pesos for our entire family and we spent about an hour. There were several restaurants and shops although all were closed when we were there.
Brock S — Google review
Probably the most touristy spot in pucon. If you go into this knowing this it’ll be more enjoyable for you. Several platforms around the lagoons that end up being very crowded with people waiting to take pictures and then leaving. But even with the crowds it’s incredibly beautiful and absolutely worth the visit. Only takes about 30-60 minutes to see the whole area and tickets can be bought at the entrance If your looking for a more private experience then check out any of the numerous waterfalls along Rio palguin that’s about a 15-20 minute drive away
Jonah S — Google review
A gentile walk within a park where you can see a small part of this river, small but beautiful falls, and a crystalline small lagoon, they call it the Blue Lagoon. The Acces fee is 2 USD, you can spend about 1 hr here.

Villarrica is an active snow-capped volcano that offers guided climbing adventures with stunning views of the surrounding lakes. The Geometric Thermal Springs, located within the Villarrica Volcano National Park, provide a natural and relaxing experience amidst native forests. Climbing the volcano is described as both challenging and rewarding, with the option to slide down on a sled after reaching the summit.
Worth a ride if you are in Pucon. On a clear day, the view of the volcano is stunning and very humbling, especially when covered in snow.
Gergely F — Google review
I climbed Villarrica several years ago. Awesome views, an exhaustive workout.
John B — Google review
I’m 61, relatively fit, swim and hike 5-7 km at least once a week at home….and this was challenging. This is not an outing for a typical tourist , but if you are prepared for a good 5 hour workout the climb offers amazing views on the way up and from the top. Looking into the steaming crater is anti-climatic but as a whole the experience is worth it. Honestly , how can you pass on an opportunity to say you climbed a volcano. ‘ Butt sliding’ halfway down the mountain to return brings back childlike giddiness. The guides are amazing, professional, friendly and totally supportive. They are mountain goats relative to us tourists by the way, having to do this hike a few times a week at a minimum , I’m sure.

Absolutely breathtaking experience at Villarrica Volcano! One of Chile’s most iconic natural wonders, this active volcano offers stunning views, thrilling hikes, and a surreal sense of scale. I visited during clear weather and the snow-capped cone against the blue sky was unforgettable. The ascent is challenging but rewarding—whether you hike or take a guided tour with crampons and ice axes, the panoramic views from the top are worth every step.
Dvir — Google review
Fun climb up in the snow and a great view up top.
IP- 2 — Google review
Climbing an actual active volcano sounds pretty dope. It was! And super exhausting! The tour was phenomenal. The only downside was that we couldn't see any real lava #champagneproblems On the way down you get to use your little sled you've been carrying with you along the way and slide down the volcano on your butt. Interesting experience.

Finish climbing 10 mins ago, it was really an adventure and an great challenge. Several times nearly gave up, but finally succeed. Strongly suggest take the cable car for the first part of climbing remember to take sun glasses

Termas Geometricas is a hotel located in a forested national park, around a two-hour drive from Pucon in Chile. The area surrounding the hotel is endowed with natural hot springs, with over 60 sources of water emanating from the nearby volcanoes. This hotel offers visitors an opportunity to experience the beauty and relaxation of natural hot springs while enjoying the scenic views of the forested national park.
We absolutely loved our experience at Termas Geométricas. The setting is stunning—built right into a narrow canyon with lush vegetation all around. Even though it’s been developed, it still feels incredibly natural, like you’ve stumbled upon a secret spot in the middle of the forest. The website says there are 17 different pools. We didn’t count them, but there are definitely a lot to choose from. The water temperatures range from 35 to 46°C, so there’s something for everyone—whether you like it warm or really hot. They even have cold plunge pools at 9°C, which are amazing for hot-cold contrast. I personally loved that part. Since you’re not allowed to bring your own food, we ended up eating at the on-site restaurant—and we were pleasantly surprised. We shared a pizza that was honestly one of the best I’ve had during my whole trip in Chile. The natural juices were also super tasty. It’s maybe a bit pricier than average, but totally worth it. We spent almost four hours soaking, relaxing, and just enjoying the whole vibe. Overall, an incredible experience. Totally recommend if you’re in the Pucón area. Honestly, it was worth every peso.
Marie-Soleil C — Google review
A piece of paradise in the national park, with hot thermal baths and ice cold waterfalls, surrounded by beautiful greenery. There are plenty of changing cabins, we were lucky to visit in the low season and it wasn’t too crowded there. There is a cafe on site in case you get hungry. Be prepared that the last 11 km of the road is unpaved. We couldn’t buy tickets in advance on the website - there was a problem with a foreign cards payments(I hope that was just a temporary issue)
Kate S — Google review
Even more beautiful than the photos. A perfect variation of pools with different temperatures, icy cold to almost too hot to handle, so you’ll always find one you like. Both day and evening are amazing (at night the paths are lit). Spacious, never felt crowded, super kind staff. Truly breathtaking, one of my best memories in Chile.
My G — Google review
Must! Probably the ambient, I mean the setting of the place, totally immersed in a gorge between the rocks within a Patagonian forest, with the thermal stream flows, spreading an energetic relaxation vibe all over. Many pools with different temperatures ranging, from 8 Celsius up to 46. Incredible experience. Recommend to go during low season, low temperature days, so you can have it all for yourself (August to October probably)
Davide C — Google review
It was rainy and a little cold when I visited but it actually felt pretty great. I visited as part of a tour but these people are really strict about safety while you're visiting. They give you a locker key & keep your ID (so be sure you have it) as a "deposit". There are a good number of pools & they're all pretty large with different temps. They do have staff walking around constantly making sure no one's throwing anything in the pools or behaving badly. The lockers don't fit very much & be prepared to change outdoors even though the door locks. It was very peaceful. There is a Cafe onsite with food/drink and they have fire pits which was a nice touch given the weather when I went. Roads are pretty rough at points getting there so maybe take a tour.

18 natural hot pools with temperature 35°C-46 °C. 3 waterfalls. 2 cold pools and natural cold shower next pools. Places for toilet and changing room. Price was pretty high 43€ per person. They dont give you anything by the entrace for this price only key for locker. Too expensive. Extra charge for towels. No so many people out off season👍🏻.

Nice place to relax in some thermal baths. The scenery is beautiful and there weren't that many people in early September. It was a bit of a drive to get to on some gravel roads but was worth it. Kind of surprised they don't have digital sensors monitoring all of the baths as some appeared to be mislabeled or changed as not all baths are the same temperature all the time.

Overall, it is a good place to ski, but there are some areas for improvement. (Original) O atendimento foi bom; se você chegar no horário certo, o serviço é rápido e eficiente. (Translated by Google) It's a shame to leave this review, since my family took classes. The instructors' human quality is excellent. The ski resort is incredible. It's a shame about the amount of snow, which is beyond belief. But I don't understand how they can have such poor organization in sales and rentals. They opened the season from one day to the next. Everyone crowded around to exchange tickets and others to buy them, lines two blocks long. Online sales only work with purchases made 72 hours in advance. Could this be expedited? We also rented equipment at the rental office at the base of the hill. Every day there's an endless line. People rush to get to their class or drop their child off at school. And what happens? We stopped taking care of ourselves... no masks 😷 everyone squeezed together to see if I could get in before someone else... they had the whole beginning of the year to get organized. It can't be the same line for the person measuring up and the person checking out... if we take care of ourselves, it should be a shared line... and the key part is organization! Don't worry, it could have been 5 stars! I hope they improve.

Embark on a breathtaking journey along the Ruta de los Siete Lagos, also known as the Seven Lakes road, for an unforgettable day trip from San Martin. This scenic drive offers mesmerizing views of the Andean landscapes and takes you past seven stunning lakes: Espejo, Correntoso, Escondido, Villarino, Falkner, Machonico, and Lacar.
Wow. Probably the most beautiful drive in the world. Don't forget to go to Villa Traful as well. Make sure to take your time when coming so you can stop wherever you want and take amazing pictures. Also a great tip is to look for hikes before heading there so you can take a brake from driving to go up a mountain or near a lake.

Beautiful drive with loads of adventure! From horses, cows, and sheep temporarily blocking the highway to long winding roads between snowcapped mountains, green valleys, and mirror lakes ... this route had it all. We drove it at the end of winter, but I think it's probably amazing year round. San Martin de Los Andes and Villa Angostura are two essential stops along the route. You can expect it to take all day but there's really no need to leave early unless you really want to savor every view point. You can get to San Martin for a late lunch or early dinner, then head back to Bariloche, assuming that's where you started. Staying the night in any of the three towns is probably easy. I saw a lot of signs showing availability. Driving through the Andes is an incredible experience, and I think this route might be one of the best. Of note, one route was under construction and didn't feel safe to drive. It was Route 65 to Villa Traful. Every other road felt very safe and comfortable.

Below is a summary of the main points: Lago Espejo/Lake Mirror Enrique Wolff, an explorer, visited the lake in 1895 and named it Lake Espejo or Mirror to reflect how amazed he was at a lake that reflects as a mirror Lago Correntoso Chilean immigrants, who were farmers, first arrived here in 1898. They started growing wheat, potatoes, and oat , and raising cows and sheep. Throughout the region, there are numerous farmers with families on both sides of the border. The Argentinian border officers don’t bother them with papers as they use alternative routes. Lago Villarino Named after the Explorer who around 1750 wrote numerous dairies and maps which were critical for the Spanish civilization of Patagonia. Lago Falkner Lago Falkner’s, white sandy beach. Argentinian Explorers initially named this lake Moreno, honoring Perito Moreno. He renamed the lake. Thomas Falkner, in honor of an English Jesuit Explorer. Lago Escondido Escondido, in Spanish means hidden, the lake is truly hidden in a secluded location inside the forest. You will need to jump over to go down and appreciate it’s beauty

This is one of the most beautiful roads I've ever driven. A bit over 100 kilometers, it spans between San Martín de los Andes anda Villa la Angostura, two of my favourite cities in Argentina. You can breathe nature as you drive, cycle or walk through it, with many camping sites and beaches nearby. The water in any of the seven lakes is clean and pure, the trees are green, the sky is blue, what more could you ask for? A must in anyone's bucket list

Prices for eating, for example, $32,000 for a hamburger and fries (it can be expensive, like any tourist spot during peak season). It's best to bring just enough to avoid being overloaded. (Translated by Google) I went in September 2024. We thought we could go trekking, because it was listed on the trail list. But it turns out this trail is only open in the summer, and even then it's HIGH DIFFICULTY. After about 3 hours, we reached almost the end, with snow up to our waists. There was no one else there, and it snowed and hailed as we climbed, and our tracks were erased. This made the return very complicated: we got lost, we hurt ourselves (because the snow was soft, we were buried in the snow and the branches and trunks underneath hurt us). And there was no one around... Until we were able to find our way with our cell phone GPS and our intuition. The place is beautiful, and I enjoyed it despite everything, and I'd like to return when the trail is open. It was quite an adventure, worrying at times. HIGH DIFFICULTY, of course. I'm sharing this experience mainly to help others who want to try it. Y no había nadie... I liked the architecture of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Nahuel Huapi. Inside, the portals seem to be made of reinforced concrete, although from the outside, the building appears to be made of stone. It was designed by architect Alejandro Bustillo and inaugurated in 1946. The stained glass windows have a style reminiscent of those created by the stone masons of the ancient Templars in the 11th century.

Beautiful historic place. The arquitecture is amazing, the vitrauxs are incredible and the surroundings are breathtaking. Pity we couldn't buy anything at the little shop they have there as they only take cash.

Bariloche’s cathedral is an interesting modern structure built during WWII. Yet it is a classic gothic architecture. The high vaulted ceilings in both the nave and aisles, plus the stained glass windows high up the walls are all very gothic. Indeed, everything about the structural design is a throwback to the Middle Ages. Strangely beautiful indeed 😎😎😎. The interior is quite modern, the idols and images including a painting are unmistakably 20th century designs.

Rating it a 5 star because of it close location to the beautiful lake and its amazing mountains. The view is exceptional. Also, it has a large front and back yard to relax on a afternoon Finally, it is in the main center of the town. Entrance is free.

According to Google the church was open. I walked around it and tried all the doors but they were locked. I was however, able to take in the neo-gothic characteristics, with clear European architectural influence. Stunning. The Cathedral of San Carlos de Bariloche, “Our Lady of Nahuel Huapi,” is the main Catholic church in the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina.

A beautiful large Cathedral in Bariloche that sits right off the water. We were able to explore the inside of the cathedral and just admired all of the stained glass windows, the main altar and side chapels. Worth a trip inside if traveling in Bariloche.

Civic center
Sights & Landmarks
Centro Cívico Bariloche is the focal point of the town, featuring Alpine-inspired architecture and a museum that showcases the region's history. The buildings, constructed from timber and local stone, were designed in 1939 by Ernesto de Estrada in collaboration with renowned architect Alejandro Bustillo. At the main plaza, an equestrian statue of General Roca stands amidst graffiti art.
The civic center is full of culture and beauty. There are countless things to do. You can always find things to do to keep you entertained and food of all varieties. The Argentinians are respectful, helpful, and friendly.

Centro Civico was built by architect Ernesto de Estrada.  Basically, like the main square, every town has one.  The place where large cultural and social events are often held.  Its architecture has European and North American influences, reflecting the surrounding mountains and woods. Walk around and take in the charming stone walls, wooden doors and Lake Nahuel Huapi in the background.  Museo de la Patagonia is located here and this is worth a visit.  I enjoyed walking around the square taking in the atmosphere and scenery.

The heart of Bariloche, the civic center is a public plaza. Constructed in 1940, the cobbled plaza is bounded by stone and log buildings housing the Municipality of Bariloche (the one with the clock tower), the city library, a museum and the city post office. At the center of the plaza is the equestrian statue of General Julio Argentino Roca, military leader and statesman. He served 2 terms as President of Argentina, for a total of 12 years, apparently the longest serving president. The plaza appears to be a center of community and civic activities throughout the year.

Cool civic center with lots to see. Lots of people offering exchange, but you get a fine rate at Western Union.

Cerro Otto

Mountain peak
Nature & Parks
Cerro Otto, located within Nahuel Huapi National Park, is a mountain that offers breathtaking panoramic views of Lago Nahuel Huapi and the Andes from its 1,405-meter summit. Accessible by car, foot, or cable car, it provides hiking and biking trails in addition to seasonal cross-country ski trails. While the cable cars may undergo maintenance at times, visitors can still enjoy the stunning scenery and outdoor activities such as skiing during winter.
Another high Mountain View of lakes region of Bariloche. It’s accessible by cable car in a residential area of town. The view of the lakes and the Patagonian Alps is certainly magnificent. It is less busy than Cerro Campanario, just a couple of kilometers away.

Beautiful views across the lago as you walk up to the summit. Only negative is the extortionate‘access charge’ to the cerro complex which is a fixed rate per person regardless. You can’t avoid it if you want to take the cable car back down.
Louise — Google review
For those trying to drive to Cerro Otto, the road is currently closed at the Piedras Blancas, and you will be denied access. There are some nice views near the parking lot, so still a worthwhile experience.

Worth a gondola ride, nice view over Bariloche and the lake

Beautiful place and walk with friends. Not too challenging and depending how close you can get to it in a vehicle you can do this as a day trek in just a few hours. The views are stunning and it’s one of the best examples of Lenga trees. It’s frustrating that part of the trek goes through “private land” of the Aralauquen estate - how on earth was part of a national park (and a large part at that) sold privately to become a playground for Bariloche’s rich and famous. Disgraceful really and surely there must have been some brown envelopes passed to ensure that this happened. In any case it’s a beautiful landscape and the views over Lago Gutierrez are sublime. Hopefully the whole trek returns to public hands soon.

Fantastic mountaintop outdoorsman's dream. This venue has everything to keep a lover of the outdoors busy for many days and repeated trips to take advantage of all of the offerings. Accessible by car on a challenging gravel road to the top of the mountain. Hiking available. Parking is at a premium however! Many trails of various challenge levels. Highly recommended. Fantastic scenery.
