Praia do Lázaro, located approximately 15.5 kilometers from Ubatuba's city center, is a fantastic choice for a peaceful family day at the beach. With its 1.5-kilometer-long sandy shore, it caters to all kinds of beachgoers. The left side of the beach is livelier with beachside kiosks and music, especially during the summer months.
An amazing place, clean water and safe. The only issue are some impolite and pain the neck Brazilians that use cheap usb speakers to play loud and awful songs on the beach.
Alaister T — Google review
Absolutely disgusting. Disappointing actually. Arriving at the beach, the sewer smell going into the water was disgusting. The beach was packed and people and dogs swimming, even that the authorities informed it was not safe. We just had to go through this beach to arrive in another of the safe beaches.

Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
Nestled in the stunning coastal town of Ubatuba, the Ubatuba Aquarium is a delightful blend of indoor and outdoor experiences that showcases an impressive array of local marine life. Established by a passionate group of oceanographers in 1994, this aquarium features around 70 species across its various enclosures, including Brazil's largest saltwater tank. Visitors can marvel at fascinating creatures like crabs, octopuses, sharks, and even Magellanic penguins from Patagonia.
Amazing place. Worth every penny from the ticket. Well guided, the staff is very gentle. Lots of information about sea life.
Luiz F — Google review
Was surprised at the array of animals there , staff were lovely and when raining spent a couple of hours sheltering inside !
George W — Google review
I liked it, kind of fun for children. It isn't as big as other ones around the world, but fits into this environment. The most fun was the playground behind it for my kids.
Daniel G — Google review
Small but very nice and well organized, employees were respectful and knowledgeable. The sharks and penguins were the highlight of the visit but the experience was really good overall, really worth the time.
Julio R — Google review
This aquarium is an excellent opportunity to make a immersion into the beauty and miseries of the sea, this place is prepared for a huge crowd of adults and kids enjoying multiple attractions, it is recomended to buy tickets online in advance to have a quick access to the place, also check the estimated time for some scheduled activities, like feeding the penguins, so you can have the best experience possible here, very recommended
Renner P — Google review
It was smaller than I've been to other places, but close and intimate. Probably crowded I peak season, but July it was perfect. Some signs had English but not all.
Mac S — Google review
Very nice manageable size for children. We saw species we'd never seen before and there is a beautiful shell collection. The tide exhibit was fun. The petting pool was a new experience too. There's a nicely decorated cafe (we got a free coffee with a family ticket) overlooking a play area outside on the promenade. The recycling exhibit was overly sombre at the end of the tour.
Rachel C — Google review
The visit is very pleasant and the path is interesting with posters and exhibitions. The place is not very big but there are spectacular types of marine animals. I suggest to avoid peak time as it could be stressing waiting in the queue. Near the exit, you can touch a number of live examples like the star fish, pepino do mar, etc. There is a small restaurant inside, which can also serve people not in the aquarium from the side overlooking the beach.

Felix Beach is one of the amazing beaches in Ubatuba, offering a perfect destination for adventure enthusiasts and hikers. With over 100 stunning beaches and well-preserved rainforests, Ubatuba provides an ideal setting for nature lovers. In addition to its natural beauty, visitors can also explore the Tamar project dedicated to marine turtle preservation.
This place is incredible. It really worth the visit. Just recommend to get here as early as possible since it gets very busy and it’s quite hard to reach the parking slot. 30.00 reais(5.50€ +/-). The lounge beach has minimum consumption(200.00 reais). The prices are okay. The service is okay. It could be better!

Wonderful! Such a beautiful nature, blessed place. If you're in Ubatuba you must visit this beach.
Louise G — Google review
It was such a beautiful place with great people and service ....
Gus S — Google review
Beach frequented by locals, with an image of a place to be. Surf breaks literally meters from the beach so it is lovely for a swim. Some "disconected" foodstalls ice merchants and rent a canoe. Nature around it is really impressive and truly worth a visit.
Denis P — Google review
Good beach, the sand is very coarse (and it gets everywhere :p), even hurts the feet a bit, the ocean had lots of big waves, not good for swimming (the day I went, at least), but it's good, beautiful, there is a kiosk with several options and very, very good service, they are incredible polite and handy, a bit expensive.
Luan N — Google review
If you're not going to the beach from Taubaté via Oswaldo Cruz, you can expect a kinda long trip, but it's definitely worth it. (Also, if downtown Ubatuba traffic is in a jam, try going through Rio Escuro. It's a muddy way, but definitely worth the view. The beach, as most of Ubatuba beaches, is removed from the main road. If you go all the way down by car, there are some paid parking lots. We parked at Bruzy for 35BRL. We also stayed at Bruzy. There are tables closer and further away from the sea. The further ones are sheltered from the sun not only with parasols but also with trees. The service is very good, the price of the beverages is sensible (for a beach) and the portions are well served, lacking a little in savor. The beach has very fine white sands and a very clear water. The waves are around 1m high. Strongly recommend.
Hélder R — Google review
A good choice among the Ubatuba beaches, they offer a boat service to Ilha do Prumirim. It's worth a visit.

Despite the challenging road access, the stunning views along the way and the charming hotel with a restaurant make it worth the journey.
Great place. Really great place to relax and enjoy a beautiful day in the beach. The road is quite long and in bad state, but the views are wonderful. The beach is the last one before to arrive in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
Luis U — Google review
One of the best beaches in the region to relax. Very calm, pool-like sea, usually a bit warmer than elsewhere. If you are looking for some very tasty caipirinhas, try the "Caju" kiosk.
Marcelo C — Google review

Abfitness A — Google review
Beautiful beach. Access road is a bit tricky/bumpy, but has breathtaking views along the way.
K M — Google review
The beach is actually very pretty, but short, and equipped with a charming hotel with restaurant. Access by car is possible from the br highway but the road isn't the best. There are sights to be had along the ride that might make it worth your while tough.

Avoid this beach if you're traveling with kids. Vicious dogs freely roam at this beach. Same dog bit my 3yo and 5yo.

Hiking trail to Cachadaço Natural Pool

The hiking trail to Cachadaço Natural Pool in Trindade Village offers a serene and clean natural swimming experience among colorful fishes. The medium difficulty trail is well-marked with steps, handrails, and boardwalks over swampy areas. Accessible from the beach, the 30-minute walk is suitable for most visitors, although closed-toe shoes are recommended. For those seeking an alternative to the trail, boat transport is available for a fee.
(Translated by Google) Super easy trail! Even kids can do it. From this point on, it's a 15 to 20 minute walk, with some ups and downs to the natural pools. The trail starts at the end of Cachadaço beach. You can go by boat from Praia do Meio, I think it's R$40/50 round trip. You can go by trail and return by boat (R$20/30). (Original) Trilha super tranquila!
Anderson ( — Google review
From the end of last beach to the natural pool I walked 25 minutes one way (walking quickly but with flipflops on a really muddy ground). Easy to find, but not for a "beach stroll" - my friends returned halfway without visiting the pool. There are boats waiting in case you want to return by taxi boat.
Hahaha H — Google review
(Translated by Google) The trail will take you between 20 and 25 minutes. There are spots where you can stop to take photos and videos of the breathtaking scenery! In the natural pool area, which is a place where several huge rocks have gathered and the sea water gathers, meaning the water there is salty, forming a pool. No waves, no currents. Calm water, like a swimming pool, for you to enjoy. You'll see lots of fish swimming near you. It's totally worth it! For those who don't want to do the trail, because there are a lot of stairs, on the middle beach you can pay a man who stays there just for that purpose, with a boat, to take you there and bring you back. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the last time I went it was 50.00 round trip. You can also pay just to go, for example, and return by the trail. Then he'll only charge half.

(Translated by Google) The trail is full of incredible views. It is an easy/moderate trail, but it can be very dangerous if it has rained. I do not recommend it for seniors who are not used to exercising. There are points where we go up and down slopes, and it can be tiring. It is a trail of about 1.5 km (including the walk to the beach). But in the end, it is worth it. The natural pool is wonderful, shallow water for swimming and there are beautiful fish. Guilherme C — Google review
(Translated by Google) The trail is simply spectacular, with incredible views, preserved vegetation and a medium level of difficulty. Some sections are very slippery during the rainy season. It takes between 30 and 40 minutes, depending on the speed and agility of each person, as well as the flow of people in the area. The trail is a fundamental part of the experience for those who want to see the pools. I took a boat trip back (5 minutes), more for the experience of crossing the water. The pool is incredible, with many colorful fish. The water is cold and the landscape is sensational. I went in January and there were a lot of people, which made the water cloudy and scared away the fish. It is better to go in the low season. I highly recommend the tour. A água é fria e a paisagem é sensacional. Recomendo demais o passeio.
Gisele B — Google review
(Translated by Google) This trail is of medium difficulty (difficult for children under five and the elderly, and very difficult for people with reduced mobility), but it can be skipped if the tourist doesn't mind paying R$15 to go by boat (and another R$15 to return). The trail is well-marked, with steps and handrails in the more complicated sections. The swampy sections have planks that allow for easy passage. It should be avoided before or immediately after rain, as it is entirely muddy. Be careful of insects and the time of day you are hiking, as it is a trail in the middle of a reserve.

Cachadaço beach is a stunning, wide stretch of coastline with a trail leading to natural pools surrounded by rocks and lush native vegetation. To reach this tropical paradise, travelers can take a paved road from Bairro do Patrimonio in Paraty or pay attention after crossing the border between Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro when coming from Ubatuba to Trindade. The beach is a favorite among explorers for its access to the Atlantic Forest hillside and short trail.
Great beach tropical paradise with great views and calm waters. We ate some delicious fresh oysters from a shucker right in the sand and also visited a restaurant with views of the water. This was the best beach for us while staying in Paraty

Visitors can also opt for a speed boat from Praia do Meio if they prefer not to hike. The beach is known for its tranquil atmosphere and natural beauty, making it a must-visit destination in the area.
Awesome place. If you are visiting Parati, Trindade is one of top places here to visit, specially the beach named “praia do meio” which is a nature reserve. There is no commerce here, only a place to take a boat to visit the natural swimming pool called cachadaço. This place is one that you want to visit here!

This beach is much more quiet than the more touristic Dos Ranchi's beach, only a short trail away! But what a change in the scenery, with the big rock and the waves splashing against the rocks in the next beach, which is also accessible via a trail. A must visit when in Trindade!

Beautiful beach! I took the bus from the central station in Paraty going to Vila Oratorio. I got down in the last stop, that's where the hike starts. There're signs. Took me almost 1 hour to get to Praia do Sono, it was really hot and the path goes up and down. Can be slippery in some parts. Beware of snakes, spiders and scorpions (there's even a sign about it). I just saw a dead snake in the path. I had lunch in the only place open. It was good. Guess that low season has something to do with it cause there's plenty of bars/restaurants in the shore. There's also camping sites, it's a great option to stay here longer and explore nearby beaches. There's also a 5 nights hike, camping along the way and bringing your own food. The sea had waves, and it was fun! Be conscious about your level in the water as there's no lifeguards or whatsoever. I loved the fact there were few people. Definitely worth coming here for an entire day or more!! I 😊😁😄 I went back hiking, but I saw people taking a boat

After a walk of 1.30 hour through the jungle get there ( you can go by boat, but it's not the same feeling). The beach is very beautiful and clean. There is a variety of restaurants even being an isolated beach. There are lots of camping sites if you want to stay overnight.

You can reach Praia do Sono by walking through a 3km trail. It's not a difficult one but be sure to use repellent.

Great place to stop by, worth the visit. You can get there by hiking or taxi boat. I went hinking and at the end of the day I got a boat back to our car. The locals are very receptive and their food is amazing, you won't regret the visit. Don't be afraid of the dogs they are friendly and like to be around for company and they like to play.

Perfect place to rest. Not so easy access making this place more calm.
Emil K — Google review
Easy to get there from Paraty. Bus leaves fairly regularly to Vila Oratorio and from there you can walk the (fairly) simple 3km walk to the beach. It was pretty slippery when I went but if you are of reasonable fitness then it shouldn’t be a problem.

The Refúgio das 7 Cachoeiras buffet restaurant is situated in a stunning natural setting, surrounded by lush greenery and offering a variety of nature trails and waterfalls. The ambiance and accommodations provided are excellent, ensuring guests' comfort and relaxation. Additionally, the restaurant boasts an extensive menu featuring delectable cuisine, making it the perfect place to indulge in gastronomic delights.
Amazing place to spend at least a couple of days. As the name suggets, it´s a peaceful corner of luxuring nature. The owners used their passion for water falls and mother earth beauties to shape this pousada with no harm to the landscape. All the many different spaces fit the natural speace. Accomodations are confortable. The food is great! It helps to put the energy in before going on the trek. Our guide Nathan was super nice, very careful. 5 stars, well deserved. We´ll go back many times.

(Translated by Google) I was at Recanto 7 Cachoeiras yesterday, 12/31, for a day use, which included the 7 waterfalls trail, snack and lunch. I'll start my review with the worst part, which ruined the experience: 1 - My partner and I witnessed Mrs. Nilza, the owner of the inn, humiliate an employee (waiter). She was extremely rude and arrogant to him, in front of us, because he was standing still. If she treats employees like that in front of customers, I wonder how she must treat them behind the scenes. I regret not having reacted, in defense of the employee, but we were very embarrassed and shocked. 2- When we served ourselves at the lunch buffet, we asked for a piece of lemon to season the salad, because we don't like vinegar. The owner came to our table and ironically said that there was no lemon. Then we asked for a juice and the only juice the inn serves is LEMON JUICE. When we asked, the employee went to ask and came back saying that the only seasonings were those available on the table (vinegar and olive oil). They refused to offer us a PIECE of lemon. 3- I witnessed, next to me, at the lunch table, the owner being rude to a lady who complained, in a polite way, that she had not been able to take a shower since she had arrived because the water was freezing. He did not let her speak, interrupting her the whole time, rudely and impatiently. Now, about the tour: 1- Trail We were accompanied by two very attentive and friendly guides, but we felt that the tour lacked planning and organization. Examples: The two guides go in front, pulling the group, but the people at the back are alone. The ideal would be one guide in front and another behind to help get through the difficult points, give directions and even help in case of accidents or poisonous animals. The breaks at the waterfalls for swimming and also at the viewpoint were very quick. There should have been a set break time so that we could enjoy the waterfalls and landscapes, rest, take photos, etc. The waterfalls are small and only two of them have a small area for swimming. Despite this, the experience of the trail was nice and the snack offered on the trail was very tasty. 2- Lunch: The table was beautifully set and the food was delicious. The lemon juice with herbs was also delicious. I only missed another option for animal protein and dessert, since the only option was roast chicken and for dessert the only option was dulce de leche. Unfortunately, what ruined the experience was the arrogance and lack of kindness of the owners, as I mentioned above. Unlike the owners, all the employees we interacted with were very polite and friendly, especially the waiters. 2- Almoço: A mesa posta estava linda e a comida deliciosa.

It is a place you must go if you visit Paraty. Rent a boat for the day as it is the only way to get to this beach. It can be a private boat or tour boat, they all go there, I honestly prefer the private boat as you can decide how long you want to stay in each place.

Amazing location, beautiful beach , Bruno is very helpful and always with a smile, they have canoe and sup that you can take and explore the area as well as snorkelling equipment, the breakfast is very good, on the back of the hotel is a jungle , better use shoes especially if you decide to take the left side it is really amazing if you are lucky you will see monkeys, you have to remember that this is a hotel in the jungle so that means that everything can not be perfect, the water is not very hot , in the night you may not have electricity all the time , there is humidity so the towels and the clothes are not easy to dry but it is truly amazing and you must go…

Only Talking about the Restaurant: Prices are way too high and the staff is very inattentive and in a bad mood. I would say it was a bad service but in fact it was just no service at all, as they didn’t come to our table to collect our order after 20mins of waiting - even though there were almost no other customers and we were sitting in front of the counter. Wouldn’t recommend to go!! (Been there 6th of January 2025)

I'm only writing for the restaurant. We waited an hour for a drink and another hour for ceviche. Service was one of the worst I have ever seen with the staff smoking cigarettes and not paying any attention to us after multiple requests. (Translated by Google) Wonderful experience in this paradisiacal place. It was a quick visit but it was worth it and left me wanting to come back again. (Translated by Google) One of the most beautiful stops in Angra dos Reis, great for diving, taking photos and relaxing. The water has a surprising color. I can't swim and I used noodles, but I was able to stay there without any problems (but don't stray too far and be careful!)

(Translated by Google) It's very beautiful here. Both above and below the water. Especially the below-water part is of a beauty that unfortunately doesn't last long. It's being destroyed by barbecue boats that throw trash into the water. Paper with mayonnaise, bones, cans, bags, plastic cups, straws, cigarette butts. They play funk music so loud that you can't even talk 100 meters away. In addition, there were about 80 jetskis competing, above the corals, above the fish that are the reason for the beauty of the place! We know that these machines ruin the peace above the water. But it's 10x worse below the water, it disrupts life there, right? I wanted to cry, I felt so sad. Is it not possible to enjoy the beauty without destroying it?

(Translated by Google) Magnificent little cove, turquoise water and fish in abundance, an open-air aquarium. Keep your eyes peeled, there are magnificent sea turtles to observe. I recommend arriving very early in the morning (fishermen or taxi boats can take you there for a few euros). After a certain hour it's really no longer pleasant (large boats full of tourists, loud music, drop anchor and greatly degrade the tranquility and magic of the place).

(Translated by Google) A stunning place. The center of almost all the tours offered in Abraao, and for good reason. The clear, blue waters, which give it its name, have plenty of fish to see. They sell coconut sweets that take you to the boat to die for. Don't miss out on trying them. (Original) Un lugar impresionante.

Basic beach, not particularly attractive and lacks facilities. Convenient access from the highway to park your car and get on a small boat to the nearest islands (Pelado, Peladinho and Cedro)

This place is really not safe to snorkle. Lots of boats coming from everywhere and even jet skis with high speed. Avoid!
Deborah S — Google review
Our boat stopped here for us to have a swim or snorkel. What a beautiful spot, there was lots of marine life here, fishes were big and colourful. One of the tourist spotted a turtle bit unfortunately I didn't get to see one!

Totally an awesome experience of nature at its finest. Swimming, snorkeling, relaxing. I would recommend not going on holiday weekends or during peak seasons though, unless you find a hidden unpopular beach or cove. It gets pretty crowded with boat traffic and people. If you are into the crowds etc go for it! 😁
Winston L — Google review
Another stop on our boat tour. Everyone had pool noodles to enjoy the warm clear water and all the fishies swimming close by. You don't actually go on the island.

Get there early and you'll have a wonderful experience snorkeling with all the sea life. Gets too crowded to enjoy afterwards.

It's one of the best ones. You can go by morning or during afternoon and it'll look different but amazing at the same time, like caribbean. I prefer in the morning as there's less people.

(Translated by Google) The place is beautiful, well-preserved, and well-maintained. I was even surprised by the surroundings. The staff were polite and helpful. It was worth the trip up the rocky road (I was on a Spin), but we managed to get there without any problems, just take it slow. For those who enjoy contact with nature and total immersion, I recommend it. Every minute on the road is worth it! The dogs and the trails are simply beautiful. I couldn't complete the entire Gold Trail because a large section was uncleared and there were snakes. (Original) O local é muito bonito, preservado e cuidado. Até me surpreendeu a estrutura do ambiente.
