Beautiful, tranquil, central, and historic. A must-see if staying in Fortaleza. Great for couples and families with children. About a 10 minute walk from the Metropolitan Cathedral of Fortaleza and close to numerous other sites and areas. Highly recommend!

It is a Nice place for art. Unfortunately the Spots and the places are Not Very good indicated, we got a little bit Lost.
Elisa C — Google review
The whole facilities are under major upgrading at the moment. There is in fact not much to see now.
Desmond H — Google review
The place was staffed, but closed for reconstruction and no indication of that prior to have saved the trip going there. According to the Uber Driver they want to open in two month (November 2025) again, but from the progress of the reconstruction (none), that seems to be very ambitious. Beside that, the area is not safe to walk and there’s nothing much else to do. All in all, it was a great disappointment.
Andreas K — Google review
In need of maintenance/update. Too little expositions. Stores closed. No energy at this place unfortunately. Expected a little more.
ScotchRacer — Google review
The exhibitions were cool! But it was hard to get around there because there weren't any signs. There's a nice looking cafe, but it opens at 3pm. It was very empty during day time but that was nice.
Lara S — Google review
If you think this a centre for art and culture, which would reasonable when that's what its name is - you are wrong! It's a cinema AND a planetarium. Nothing else going on here.

The beach is beautiful, well-maintained, and perfect for walking, relaxing, or just enjoying the scenery. The boardwalk is bustling with life: handicrafts, live music, and delicious food everywhere you look. I tried incredible tapioca and refreshing coconut water while watching the sunset... priceless! 😍 I felt safe the whole time, and the atmosphere is very family-friendly. It's also super well-located, close to good hotels and other tourist spots. Definitely a place I would return to again and again. Highly recommended!

(Translated by Google) This place is magnificent for walking, sunbathing and swimming. From early on they prepare the umbrellas and chairs to be able to enjoy the beach day that begins very early since at 5 p.m. The sun is already beginning to set. The beach falls sharply and this means that you can swim in the sea that is clean and warm. I want to emphasize that the water is very pleasant and does not leave your skin sticky. What caught my attention is that there is only one lifeguard who walks along the shore from end to end. This may be why swimmers enter the sea with a type of float tied to their waist with a strap. The water temperature is magnificent and gives me the feeling of swimming in a heated pool. They constantly clean the sand of waste and provide you with a bag for collecting it. Along it there are stalls with a wide variety of drinks and also products to eat. The sunset is wonderful and leads you to take many photos.

Temporarily Closed
Park
Outdoor Activities
Park offering activities & attractions such as wakeboarding, swimming, zip lines & a cachaça museum.
Very good to visit, if you like or not cachaça.
Gustavo — Google review
I visited the park during their "Black Friday Sale" in November which is $65 to enter and ride all the attractions. The price is good enough for a day of activities. The only attraction not included in the entrance price is the tall zip-line which is an extra $60 to ride. I skipped the tall zip-line and experienced every other ride the park offers which is good enough for a day in the sun. The park is cute and clean but you can tell that the attractions need a little bit of love and care. They have a sugar mill and liquor museum, a restaurant and many water attractions, like wakeboarding, stand-up paddle board, kiayking and more...the lake is not huge so you won't be doing these things for long time. If you do not pay the entrance ticket price than you have to pay for each attraction individually which is not worth it because you pay for 10 minutes for each activity. They don't have many things for adults here it's mainly kids and teens but you can do somethings if your in the mood. They have a tree course, archery, a pool for swimming and a horse carriage. The horses needs to retire because they are already elderly...thats the saddest part to me...even though you can see the young men take good care of them. The staff here is very friendly and you can tell they enjoy their jobs. The park itself is very clean. The only concern for new visitors is the road to get to the park....if you are not used to this type of dirt road or is from out of town you will think you are lost because it's all the way inside a ranch on a dirt road with no sign and it's confusing....just keep following the gps until you see a small town of white and blue houses. The other thing to keep in mind is the small zip-line attraction included in the entrance price has a weight limit of 80 kg - I don't know the conversion to pounds...and they do not tell you that at the entrance. The restaurant is self service and by weight. The food is good and they have various options of meat, rice and beans. All in all is a fun and safe place for the whole family. The park closes at 5pm and the attraction are open till 430pm so you will have enough time to do everything at least twice.

Arena Castelão is a renowned soccer stadium with a seating capacity of over 60,000. It features a two-tiered structure and a roof, making it an impressive venue for sports events. The stadium first opened in 1973 and has since undergone renovations, solidifying its status as one of the top sports arenas in the state. With its rich history and modern facilities, Arena Castelão continues to host exciting matches and provide an unforgettable experience for fans.
Great and modern stadium, facilities are good. Plan to get there early as there is a lot of traffic on match days and it will take much longer than usual. Access was easy and uncomplicated. There were no assigned seat, only sections. Everyone was standing. Overall great experience!

Arena Castelão — officially known as Estádio Governador Plácido Aderaldo Castelo — is located in Fortaleza, Brazil. It was one of the main venues for both the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Here are a few key facts about it: •   Renovation and modernization: Originally built in 1973, it underwent major renovations between 2010 and 2012 to meet FIFA standards. •   Capacity: Around 63,000 spectators. •   Design: The renovation added a new roof, improved stands, better access, and sustainable features like rainwater reuse and solar panels. •   Technology: In recent years, Castelão introduced facial recognition technology at its gates, enhancing both security and entry efficiency for fans — a first among some major Brazilian stadiums. •   Use today: It’s home to local football clubs such as Ceará SC and Fortaleza EC, and still hosts large concerts and events.

I would not recommend this place AT ALL! it is the worst beach I've been to in my life and I've been around the world. It smells like sewage and feces which is unbearable. Also as many people mentioned there is someone trying to sell you something every 2 mins..

Awesome beach for relaxing and enjoying the beach clubs there. The water isn't the best for a swim due to waves and clarity.
Raul A — Google review
Nice beach, but you need to pay attention on possible, though not probable, thefts. Don't be fooled by the constant winds (especially between August and October) or even partly cloudy days: the sun is treacherous and really burns here. Take tons of sunscreen with you.
Michael R — Google review
Very good beach. Maybe the best one in Fortaleza. However, you have to be careful for the criminals. There are a lot of pickpockets, stickups and armed robbery. It is safe if you come only for a bath and enjoy the sun without anything in your hands or inside your pockets. Bring only your hotel key and nothing else.

Great Family-Friendly Beach Spot with Aqua Park We had a lovely time visiting this beach — it’s a fantastic destination for families. The beach itself is very clean, safe, and spacious, offering plenty of room for both swimming and playing. Water is Cristal clear. Just a heads-up: if you want to sit at a table with chairs near the beach, there is a fee. There are two seating options available: VIP Area – Costs ₹900 just for the table; food and drinks are charged separately. Regular Area – Costs $90 for the table, but you can use as many chairs as needed, which is perfect if you’re visiting with a larger group. Charges for table use usually begin between 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM, depending on the day. Beach Aqua Park — fun for all ages! The entry fee varies by season; in July, it was $300 per person. Toilets are clean and tegere is a cleaner who is there all day. Food is great as well but you need to expect to pay more than if you would eat outside. We actually found a great place to eat nearby it was cheaper than on the beach . All in all, a great place to relax and enjoy a family day out by the water.
Rihards K — Google review
Going to the Beach Park in Fortaleza is an experience that I would recommend across the board. They are one of the largest water parks in the world with attractions that span the range from low to extreme intensity. I’ve had the opportunity to go there a few times as a child and went again now as an adult and it was just as fun as I remembered. Good: 1 - Excellent service. Employees are polite and knowledgeable. 2 - Lot’s of food options. 3 - Queues are not too long. 4 - Several options of attractions. 5 - Great layout with distribution of food/beverage kiosks, high/low intensity rides and pools distributed throughout. 6 - Easy access from hotel complexes. To Improve: 1 - The power went out when I was there. It took around 10 minutes for the attraction I was at to normalize. This is lack of proper engineering or configuration of the backup systems. A diesel generator should kick-in and stabilize within 1 minute of a power outage. Moreover, given that power to the attractions is essential to the proper operation of the park, they should have a UPS battery backup to sustain the park for a duration long enough for generators to kick in. 2 - The meat/bacon burger at the Beach Burger kiosk was bad. Dry and hard. Almost inedible. The chicken option was much better. 3 - A few attractions were closed. I understand this can happen. However, this needs to be informed extremely well to park goers. Ideally in a language that humanizes the situation. “Sorry, our pump is sick today but the attraction will be up in x days”. 4 - The lazy river was weaker than I expected. There were less pumps on? 5 - The Hupa/Hopa was not doing the water discharge to speed up the attraction as it used to. 6 - No way to keep track of time when around park since there are no clocks. Add some? Even though I am giving the park a 5-star review, I hope that the feedback can be put to use. If Beach Park plans on becoming “the Disney of Brazil” nothing short of perfect is enough.

The toys are really nice, and the park is well maintained. Quite safe for kids. Though i believe the park is more enjoyable for kids older than 10. I give 2 stars because they made me lose 1h15m advertising a travel package scheme that i didn’t want to sign. I arrived at 1pm and the park closes at 5pm, so i lost 30EUR! (3 adults 2 children). Also they messed up my tickets. Because i didn’t have to pay for an autistic child companion and they made me pay. Both employees were rude and didn’t inform me correctly. So in the end i only enjoyed 2h45min.

The beach is absolutely amazing and the water park has a lot of attractions. Also it is not that busy so the waiting time is decent.
Andreea T — Google review
The beach park offers a vast expanse with a wide array of activities suitable for a diverse age range spanning from three-year-olds to those in their sixties. Our visit to the park took place on a weekend, and despite the large crowd, waiting times for most activities were surprisingly short. Safety was a top priority, evident in the presence of numerous vigilant lifeguards stationed throughout the park. They were extremely dedicated to their roles. Personally, my most exhilarating experience was the "Insano," which provided a thrilling adrenaline rush.

A really fun place to visit but very busy and there were long queues for everything, including food outlets. We only managed 4 rides in the entire time we were there. It is only open from 11am to 5 pm. 5 stars if we went on a quiet day!

Beach of Morro Branco

Beach
Nature & Parks
Coastal stop known for its labyrinthine eroded cliffs & multiple types of sand in different colors.
Game of Thrones filming location. Dune buggy tour on the beach and to the fresh water lagoon, with the optional sled ride into the lagoon was practically the highlight of our trip to Fortaleza. Highly recommend.

Clay Cliffs along the beach! The cliffs of reddish, sandy clay that rise above Morro Branco beach are beautiful. The parade of waves we see in the distance washes endlessly against the lower layers of the Beberibe Cliffs, while wind and rain batter the upper reaches. There is slow erosion or sudden landslips and this Brazilian natural monument is continually crumbling away. Only guided tours are allowed here.

The cliffs aren’t here despite the photos! It’s a beautiful beach surrounded by what look like party houses, but the drive is a rough one (the most fun part of heading this way 😅) over rocky roads and wet red sand. For the cliffs lol for Labirinto das Falésias de Morro Branco You’ll see the hill with the white tower from the beach, it’s back that way ☺️

Natural Monument of Beberibe Cliffs

Nature & Parks
Park
The Natural Monument of Beberibe Cliffs is a breathtaking stretch of protected cliffs and dunes that offer stunning views of the beach. This geological paradise is a must-visit for enthusiasts, although it's advisable to research the rock formation beforehand as local guides may lack knowledge in this area. Arriving early in the morning is recommended to avoid crowds from tours later in the day. The site boasts a wonderful story and visitors can enjoy the humorous and lively commentary of tour guide Wesley.
Absolutely stunning. If you are interested in geology, this is paradise but I suggest you read about the rocks formation before you visit because local guides often don't know much about the geological formation of the area. Also, try to get there early in the morning as it is full of tours from 11 onwards. Highly recommended

If you want a day of admiring natural beauty, take a tour to this place! The natural occuring cliffs offer beautiful pictures, hiking, and exploration. The tour, consisting of a Portuguese speaking guide, takes about 40 minutes and involves walking through a small market area in which they really try to sell you on projects created by the sand. The guide will pose you in many, many, places and take photos at different angles looking for a bigger tip at the end of the tour. If possible, take the dune buggy tour, as it allows you to see even more of the landscape!

(Translated by Google) I was with my wife and two daughters on 01/18/25. The service was actually good, however, the waiter recommended a fish with shrimp and lobster (MARISCADA CANOA BEACH for R$220.00), which would easily feed 4 people. I went with his recommendation and chose it. In the end, half of the dish was fish head. I practically went without eating, so my daughters could have lunch, because the portion was tiny. Very small lobster. And the shrimp? There were 3, but those who saw from a distance could see several, because they filled the plate with carrots, precisely to confuse it with the color of the shrimp. (See the photo of the "VEGAN SHRIMP". I complained and said I would post it on social media, but they were wary and gave me a discount of over R$100.00. At least they were honest about that, or just wary. I wouldn't go back. The place is stunning, right in the heart of the city. The promenade around the reservoir is widely used for walking, running, cycling, and events, offering a safe, spacious, and pleasant space for those who enjoy outdoor physical activities. * The surrounding nature, the view of the buildings, and the incredible sunset make the place even more special. It's easy to understand why it's one of the city's main tourist attractions. Besides the scenery, there are historical sites nearby, two museums, and the Parque da Criança (Children's Park) nearby. There are also parking spaces, making visiting the area much easier. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and kiosks. It's definitely worth visiting or revisiting. Ingá Stone - PB

Beautiful stone with well preserved petrogplyphs from the indiginous people. The stone is a bit in the middle of no where and when we visited we were the only people. There is a total of four places were you can clearly see petroglyphs. The main stone carving resembles a flood with a wave, followed by plants, palms and people. Some stone carvings also seem to represent stars. The site also has an information panel and many trees/plants have an information sign explaining what the plant is. There is also a small museum with an entrance of 5 real. Overall, really worth visiting this archeoligical site. The entrance is surprisingly free and the access road is in good conditions. The walking path to and around the Ingá stone are in good condition but some places might be difficult to walk for older people.

The Ingá Stone is located in the middle of the Ingá River in the small Brazilian city of Ingá (know you know how it got its name). What is it? It’s a rock formation that is covered with petroglyphs (or stone picture carvings). The prehistoric carvings were done over time and the most recent additions may have been added as recently as the 18th Century—all done by local native tribes. The meaning and/or purpose of these carvings is unknown and undeciphered. Some of the carvings resemble animals, fruits, the Orion Constellation and other less-easily distinguishable figures. The carvings are also known as the Itacoatiara do Ingá (pronounced: “EEta- cwa – tiara”), which is the name in the Tupi language of the original natives. “Ita” means stone and “coatiara” means picture. This is not the only such site with carvings in this part of Brazil, but it is one of the biggest. Still, when we visited, there was nobody here. The northeast of Brazil is less-visited by tourists than the south; this site sits 100 kilometers (60 miles) from the capital of the state, so that also contributes to the lack of tourism, but that’s good for you if you do go! To get there, the roads aren’t bad and you can find it on your Waze or Google Maps. I was really impressed with this site and I was very glad I visited. If you’re anywhere near here, you really should come visit.

(Translated by Google) Access by car is a bit complicated and there is a lack of signage, but you just have to go up the road and you will arrive. The viewpoints are truly spectacular and can be accessed even without a guide. However, several of the signposts are broken, so it is not recommended to take all the trails. (Translated by Google) We hiked the basic trail accompanied by a local dog. It's a beautiful region, with lush nature. It's a shame that it's poorly signposted, a bit dirty, and you can see the strong real estate pressure. I hope speculation doesn't trump nature and that the authorities give the area the attention it deserves.

Coroa do Avião is a charming sandbar located in front of Praia do Forte in Itamaraca, accessible by boat or on foot during low tide. Over time, the accumulation of sand has formed a small island with lush vegetation and beachside dining options. Visitors can enjoy sunset views, relax in hammocks under the shade of trees, and observe migrating birds. The journey to the island offers a peaceful and scenic experience, with various bars available for relaxation.
Great place.

(Translated by Google) The beach is extremely polluted, there is a frightening amount of trash everywhere and many people leave more trash. In addition to the pollution in the water and sand, there is also noise pollution, a competition to see who can listen to the loudest music. I do not recommend it and I hope to never return. There are other beaches that deserve to be visited and enjoyed, but this one needs urgent help! (Translated by Google) A beautiful and peaceful island. Access is by boat or raft from Itamaracá or Maria Farinha. The route is peaceful and the view is wonderful. There are bars on the island, hammocks in the sea and you can walk to the tip of the island. I suggest you take a look before choosing where to stay, the prices vary and the service is the same. We ordered the dish with fish and sides, on average R$100.00 and it was delicious. The beer was warm, but they put a cooler with ice on the table. We only started to receive good service after a complaint. I would go back and recommend it, except for this annoyance due to the competition between establishments on the beach.

The state park Parque Dois Irmãos is located in the city of Duque de Caxias, in the State of Rio de Janeiro. The park was established in 1908 and has a total area of 956 acres. It contains a Zoo Botanical Park with more than 600 animals from the Brazilian fauna, as well as a Natural Science Museum and an Atlantic Forest reserve.
Absolutely beautiful, very green even though I dont like to see the animals into jails but I believe their are helping them. Well done all, I recommend it. It is very cheaper also only 5reais.
Eraime S — Google review
The zoo has a small variety of services and animals. The cages are old and give the impression that they have not been properly cleaned and preserved. In addition, there are no authorized personnel to provide information to visitors, which causes people to get lost. Finally, if you are thirsty or hungry, you won't find restaurants or places around to buy food or water.
Edgar P — Google review
Unfortunately there's no more Lion 🦁, but it still has plenty of beautiful animals and green areas. It's worth it when you go with your family to spend a weekend

Unfortunately they're clearly facing some sort of financial problem. It's not as good as it used to be. Looks somewhat abandoned. The central lake is almost completely taken over by aquatic plants.

Sights & Landmarks
Oficina Ceramica Francisco Brennand is a museum and workshop dedicated to the renowned Brazilian plastic artist, Francisco Brennand. The site was originally an old family pottery that the artist transformed into a temple of art, showcasing his own works since 1971. Visitors can explore nearly 2,000 pieces including ceramics, sculptures, and paintings primarily centered around themes like sexuality.
The place is amazing, the amount of incredible art pieces is astonishing. Entry fee 50R.
Sindulyi S — Google review
One of the most remarkable and interesting art galleries we have ever visited. Francisco Brennand must have been a weird, obsessive, wildly creative guy to conceive such an ambitious and extensive display of his work. The ceramic sculptures are creative and bizarre, mostly monochromatic and very imaginative. There are elements of Picasso, and Geiger. Some are quite creepy, some are strangely erotic. Even if you are not an art lover you will be blown away.
Alexander G — Google review
What an amazing place. Such an unusual setting for an art gallery. The grounds and the factory buildings were amazing and the gentle music added to the atmosphere. Such an extensive collection of artwork. www.thehungrytravellers.blog

Very peaceful place. Visiting during the week is good because it’s more calm and less crowded. The range of sculptures and paintings is amazing, not to mention that the grounds are beautiful and unspoiled to go for a walk or just sit and relax

Nice park near Recife. A lot of Ceramics like a museum
Shamanne X — Google review
The place is nice, but it’s lacking a guided tour or posters with explanations. You feel lost inside, not knowing where to start or what’s the story of the place. It’s also very expensive to get in, 60 BRL. The coffee shop could have decent coffee
Pedro T — Google review
You should visit this place at least once. Unique architecture and history. Prepare yourself to be in awe. Visit the gift shop for unique ceramic artwork.
Russ D — Google review
This is a must-visit place in Recife if you like modern, daring art. It does contain quite a bit of phallic imagery, but a in abstract (it is the style of the artist). It's a beautiful indoor and outdoor museum. Very clean, and relaxing.
