Shopping
Pejabat Pos Ampang Point is a vibrant shopping destination nestled in the heart of Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. This bustling mall spans three floors and serves as a hub for local residents, offering an array of shops and eateries that cater to diverse tastes. The ground floor features a Giant supermarket alongside various discount stores, while the second floor houses popular brands like Harvey Norman. Fitness enthusiasts can find Anytime Fitness on the third level.
This Pos Malaysia branch is closed. Another shop seller told me it is closed for good starting today (10th Dec). Nearest one would be Ampang Spectrum or Aeon Big Ampang
Zulaikha Z — Google review
It is CLOSED! They have moved out. It was very good location for me. 1 star because they haven’t update it! Still exists in Google Maps, please update.
Nikolas I — Google review
In a way, the Mall has never really change for the past 10 years. Still a mall for mothers or elderly with lots of shops selling cloths for older age. They should look into pulling events to attract young audience and shops that pulls trending audience and market
Energy S — Google review
A small local mall at Ampang. This mall is the center of the area of all the residents here. There is a bus stands right in front of the main entrance. You can walk or come crossing the over bridge as well. Hotels, Local Mamaks and Condominiums are all within the sight around the mall. It has three floors. A Giant supermarket at the ground floor, lots of local restaurants, attire shops, Harvey Norman at the second floor, Anytime Fitness on the third floor. Perfect for casual low to mid range shopping. My personal favourite restaurant is Cozy Corner on the first floor. There is a Starbucks on the ground floor that provides good ambience to hangout with friends or converse with your colleagues. For othet transportation, there are two Grab pickup points for convenience and also a parking lot below the mall. The best feature about this mall is a common centre spce within the mall. In this common space, there are temporary stalls and clearance sales every week. It's a bargain and something to look forward to every weekend. For entertainment, there is a Superbowl at the top floor. Overall, this place is a much visit if you stay within the Ampang vicinity.

Shopping mall with nice food, even though they have several restaurants with different kinds of food but finally I chose here
Bella C — Google review
Olden style mall. Yet most of the daily use stuffs one can find here. Crowd is okay, nothing great but for the neighbourhood people it could be the best option to buy stuffs & prices are pretty reasonable too.
Fathima F — Google review
A convenient shopping mall where you can get almost all your shopping in one stop. A lot of offer and discount sales in the ground floor foyer almost daily...

Farm In The City

Mentioned on
1 list
Zoo
Nature & Parks
Farm In The City (FITC) is a unique wildlife and nature conservation park that offers visitors the opportunity to interact with a variety of animals in designed habitats. Visitors can pet and feed animals, including birds, tortoises, goats, hedgehogs, and blue tongue skinks. The farm provides a delightful experience for families and individuals alike. While parking may be limited on busy days, the option to use public transportation is available.
Farm In The City is a wonderful and family-friendly attraction that offers a unique experience, especially for animal lovers and children. The farm is well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed to allow visitors to interact closely with various animals in a safe and comfortable environment. From feeding rabbits and goats to holding birds and seeing exotic animals like alpacas and raccoons, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist or provide information about the animals. What makes Farm In The City stand out is the hands-on experience it offers – unlike traditional zoos, here you get to touch and feed many of the animals, which is both educational and fun. The layout of the farm is easy to navigate, with clear signages and shaded areas that make walking around pleasant even on a hot day. There are also plenty of photo spots that are great for families or school trips. Overall, Farm In The City is a highly recommended destination for a relaxing day out with nature, perfect for kids to learn about animals in an interactive way. It’s an ideal spot for creating beautiful memories with loved ones.
Sharizal Z — Google review
It was such a memorable experience. It was an impromptu trip with my friends who was also bringing her family and toddler. Upon arrival the parking was quite limited as i circled around the parking lot twice (it was a weekday non peak hour) Getting the ticket was smooth, plenty of staff and crew to help and direct you where to go. The layout of the farm was also convenient, you wouldnt miss out on anything. Plenty of showtimes for the animals segment (can ask the staff for the show hours) You can straight away tell that The animals there are well taken care off. Most of them are very active without needing any forced interaction. But it would definitely most help if you buy the snack if you want very high interactions 😉 10/10 would come visit again !
Madiha M — Google review
We visited Farm in the City with our three and four year old kids and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The park is beautifully maintained, clean and full of life. The staff members are very kind, helpful and clearly care about the visitors. Our kids had such a great time interacting with the animals, feeding them, touching them and learning about them up close. There are so many things to do that they stayed excited and engaged the entire time. In fact, they didn’t want to leave when it was time to go home! A few practical tips for other visitors: definitely bring mosquito repellent as there were quite a few mosquitoes when we went and it can get quite hot during the day so sun caps or hats are a good idea. Luckily, there are plenty of food and drink options available inside the park and the prices are reasonable. All in all we absolutely loved our visit and would love to come back again someday. Highly recommended for families with young children!
Yasmin A — Google review
Impromptu trip with my wife and 18mth old. So glad we did this! The place is well maintained and the animals were all so friendly and eager to meet us. We had a great time feeding and petting the animals and learning more about them through the knowledgeable keepers. We got to see some really interesting animal too. Will definitely visit again! An advice to others planning to go - long pants and mosquito repellent will be helpful. Also, going at opening time (10am) is perfect - it wasn't crowded and the feeding timings all lined up nicely for us.
Jia L — Google review
The most interesting zoo in the world (I think) has a lot of animals that can be touched, hugged and interacted, and even macaws can stand on their arms. Small animals are not afraid of people. Birds will take the initiative to stay on people's heads, and even deer and sheep will be so enthusiastic that they will pounce on them. The skunk is really stinky. It's a little melancholy-looking baby. Our garlic parrot in Tuao can speak hello and Malay, and the macaw can raise the flag and shoot and guess the ball... I highly recommend it. The ticket price is very cheap, the staff is professional and enthusiastic, and there are not many people. It's much more fun than the Sydney Zoo. There is no additional cost for interaction. If you want to feed birds and herbivores, you can buy a feeding bucket, and you can get a good experience without buying it.
ZIQI H — Google review
The place is not big, but it is not small either. It is a good place for slow-paced exercise where you could walk, and meet many animals. For a place with its size, it's a wonder that they could house more than 100 animal species. Not bad, eh? I had fun feeding and playing with the giant tortoises; I had fun at the aviary cage where feathered creatures roamed freely, sharing the space with monkeys; I had fun at the farm animals enclosure where cows, donkeys, goats, and alpacas walked amongst us - just too many good activities happened here. I highly recommended this place, especially if you wanted to immerse yourself in lush flora and fauna area. Thumbs up to the Farm! 👍👍
Dila H — Google review
We thoroughly enjoyed myself in this unique zoo. I didn’t expect this zoo actually could house so many species of animals. The many zoo keepers know their animals and shared their love for their animals by telling us about them. There is also the experiential component in it which our group enjoyed. We had an event here involving a big group and their staff Kenneth and Muni totally served us well. Muni was our guide and she patiently brought us through the different segment and explaining all things to us patiently. Kenneth who is the staff in charge of the function room we were using was always all ready to serve us even before requests were made. Singaporeans and other tourists should give zoo a chance. Thank you to all the staff in “Farm in the City” for making our day there worthwhile.
Katie S — Google review
Had a great time. The staffs are friendly except the ones at the alpaca place. Great place with lots of animal, worth every penny. Stroller friendly place, food inside not so expensive compared to other parks. Didnt get to join any activities with animals as the shows are only until 3 i think. Advise to come earlier.

Seri Wawasan Bridge

Mentioned on

Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
Jambatan Seri Wawasan is a modern bridge located in Putrajaya, Malaysia. It features dramatic, asymmetrical architecture and color-changing lights that make it a picturesque spot for sightseeing and photography. The bridge is surrounded by several other tourist attractions including the Agricultural Heritage Park, PJ Government Centre, Putra Mosque, Putra Perdana, and Putra Square.
You can’t see the full shape of this bridge from here. You need to go further to get a better view. If you’re planning to visit this bridge, it’s more about enjoying the panoramic view of Putrajaya. From here, you can see the Steel Mosque, the Putrajaya Pink Mosque, the Prime Minister’s Office, and even the memorial tower—all in one glance!
Jonghoon L — Google review
It’s a nice short stop to take a breather and snap some pictures. During public holidays, cars tend to park along the first lane, so be cautious, especially if you’re not familiar with the Putrajaya area. Underneath the bridge, there’s a beautiful view and a park where you can walk, jog, or cycle. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a great view of the fireworks.
Tasha K — Google review
Seri Wawasan Bridge is beautiful in night . Really really quiet & peaceful in night. You can enjoy with your friends. Putrajaya has really beautiful night places.
Khandakar J — Google review
A very beautiful bridge. Since we took the train to Putrajaya, we could walk slowly and enjoy it. We even walked far away to take a complete picture of the bridge. We can also see the floating mosque in the distance on the bridge, which is great for taking photos👍.
Stanle W — Google review
Beautiful spot, especially at night! You can walk or rent a bicycle from the bottom of the bridge at Ayer@8, there are plenty of options available. It’s a great place to move around and enjoy the views around the lake. Peaceful atmosphere and perfect for a relaxing evening.
Adilah B — Google review
It is a beautiful bridge. The structure design is amazing and very impressive.
Roxy L — Google review
This bridge is nice to look at. Great sail architecture
Serdar — Google review
One of 8 bridges, maybe 9 or 10 if you count the pdestrian and monorail bridge under construction, i believe, in the Putrajaya lake precincts. I wish they built a bicycle path at both ends rather than have us walk our bicycles up and down this bridge. The walkway down at the Precinct 8 end of this bridge is quite steep. The bridge lights up at night offering a spectacular photo!

Masjid Putra

Sacred & Religious Sites
The Putra Mosque is a magnificent Islamic architectural masterpiece located in Putrajaya, Malaysia. Built from colored granite in 1999, it features an impressive pink dome and can accommodate up to 15,000 worshippers. The mosque consists of a courtyard, prayer hall, and other facilities such as event halls and educational rooms. Surrounded by water features that create a stunning visual effect during sunrise or sunset, the mosque's design reflects a blend of graceful Middle Eastern and traditional Malay styles.
One of the most beautiful mosques I’ve ever visited! The architecture is absolutely stunning — a perfect blend of modern design with traditional Islamic elements. The pink dome and lakeside location make it very unique and peaceful. The mosque is well maintained, clean, and very welcoming for both locals and tourists. There’s a large prayer hall with excellent facilities, and the management is very organized. Non-Muslim visitors also have access with proper arrangements, which shows the spirit of inclusiveness. The surrounding area is equally beautiful with the lake, gardens, and Putrajaya city views — perfect for photography. Parking is convenient, and there are also nearby food options. If you’re visiting Putrajaya or even Kuala Lumpur, this place is a must-see. It’s not only a spiritual experience but also an architectural landmark of Malaysia.

Entry is free. Robes given free for all visitors and non-muslims. Polite and helpful. Beautiful Pink mosque. Allowed to enter in a small restricted area to see the mosque interior. We took a walk around the mosque and view was beautiful. Must visit if you are in KL or near Putrajaya.
Priyadharshini V — Google review
Visited the Pink Mosque (Putra Mosque) in Putrajaya and it honestly took my breath away! The place is huge and beautifully designed — the interior is spacious, peaceful, and filled with stunning Islamic architecture. The soft pink domes and intricate patterns make it one of the most unique and elegant mosques I’ve ever seen. The maintenance and cleanliness are excellent, everything feels very well cared for and organized. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially in guiding visitors on proper etiquette. For ladies, robes are provided at the entrance to ensure respectful attire before entering — it’s a nice touch and makes the experience inclusive for everyone. The atmosphere is calm and serene, perfect for quiet reflection or just appreciating the beauty of the design. The soft pink tones and impressive structure really make it stand out as a landmark mosque in Malaysia. Definitely a must-visit spot in Putrajaya — whether you’re there to pray, sightsee, or simply admire the architecture, it’s an unforgettable experience!

This is popular Putra Mosque, located at the heart of Putrajaya, stands as one of Malaysia’s most iconic landmarks. Renowned for its stunning and unique architecture, the mosque beautifully blends modern Islamic design elements with Persian and Malay influences. The soft pink hue of its main dome and the intricate carvings along its walls make Putra Mosque one of the most beautiful mosques in the region. The main prayer halls are exceptionally spacious, accommodating a large number of male and female worshippers at the same time. Each area is equipped with air conditioning, ensuring maximum comfort for congregational prayers and major religious events.
Sky F — Google review
Rising majestically from the shores of the serene Putrajaya Lake, Masjid Putra stands as a breathtaking symbol of Malaysia’s Islamic faith and architectural ambition. More than just a place of worship, this magnificent pink-domed mosque is a cornerstone of tourism in the nation's intelligent garden city, offering visitors a profound experience of peace, beauty, and cultural grandeur. Its strategic location adjacent to the Prime Minister’s office complex and the striking Putra Perdana precinct underscores its central role in the modern identity of Malaysia. The mosque’s design is a masterful blend of traditional and modern influences, primarily drawing inspiration from Persian and Mughal architectural styles. The most striking feature is its immense rose-tinted granite dome, the colour symbolising serenity and creating a warm, welcoming glow, especially at sunset. Flanking this central dome is a 116-meter-high minaret, one of the tallest in the region, whose design echoes the minaret of the Sheikh Omar mosque in Baghdad. The main prayer hall is equally impressive, adorned with intricate calligraphy and geometric patterns, and capable of accommodating over 15,000 worshippers. For tourists, a visit to Masjid Putra is a multi-sensory journey. The sheer scale of the structure is awe-inspiring from the outside, but the true tranquillity is found within its courtyards and by its reflective pools. Non-Muslim visitors are welcomed outside of prayer times and provided with modest attire to ensure respectful entry. The interior offers a cool, quiet sanctuary, where the play of light through stained-glass windows illuminates the rich carpets and detailed craftsmanship. Many choose to take an angkasawan (a small boat) onto the lake to capture the perfect photograph of the mosque’s stunning reflection on the water’s surface. A trip to Putrajaya is incomplete without witnessing Masjid Putra. It is not merely a photo opportunity but an invitation to appreciate Malaysian culture and spirituality. Whether admiring its Persian-inspired façade, enjoying the calm of its surroundings, or simply marvelling at its harmonious integration with the lake and cityscape, the mosque leaves an indelible impression of grace and majesty, making it an unmissable highlight for any visitor to Malaysia.
Food T — Google review
My visit to Masjid Putra in Putrajaya was absolutely amazing and truly memorable. The mosque’s pink granite architecture is breathtaking, and its location beside the beautiful Putrajaya Lake makes it one of the most picturesque places in Malaysia. The moment you step inside, you feel a deep sense of peace and spirituality. The interior design, with its intricate Islamic patterns and calm lighting, reflects elegance and devotion. The mosque is very well maintained, clean, and organized. The staff and volunteers are friendly and respectful, always ready to guide visitors and ensure modest attire. It’s not only a place of worship but also a symbol of Malaysia’s rich Islamic culture. Watching the sunset from the mosque courtyard was a magical experience that I will never forget. Definitely a must-visit for anyone coming to Malaysia.

Putra Mosque is open to visitors from both local and international communities. However, all guests are required to dress modestly and cover their aurah (body parts that should be covered in Islam), regardless of gender, as a sign of respect for the sacred space. One of the mosque’s main highlights is the breathtaking panoramic view of Putrajaya. From its open courtyard and verandah, visitors can enjoy the serene scenery of Putrajaya Lake and the city’s well-planned architectural landscape — a truly peaceful and picturesque experience.
Ahmad Z — Google review
A truly beautiful mosque with its stunning pink interior, they even provide matching pink mukenah for prayers, which I found really thoughtful. The mosque is well organized, with a designated area for Muslims to pray and a separate section for visitors that shares insightful information about Islam. When I visited, the atmosphere felt calm and respectful. I also appreciated how respectful the non Muslim tourists were, wearing the covering robes provided as a sign of courtesy while inside the mosque.

IOI City Mall

Shopping mall
Shopping
IOI City Mall is a vast shopping complex located in Putrajaya, Malaysia that offers an array of shops and dining options. It features numerous clothing retailers with collections for men, women and children, as well as stores specializing in electric games, computer accessories and more. The mall also boasts cleanliness and hygiene standards that are exceptional with attractive decor to match. Its ample parking space makes it convenient for shoppers to visit without hassle.
I've been to IOI City since 2017. Since 2023, IOI City is my outing place after Alamanda. Got a lot of stores and restaurant. Great place to spend your time with family and friends. For entertainment, arcades is always my choice if I'm going out with friends. Ali Muthu Ah Hock and Sushi King is my favourite for lunch. To watch movies, GSC in the new wing is highly recommended as the service is superb and the atmosphere is lively. To find school coursebooks, Popular is always my choice. Before going home, chilling at CU mart is must.
ItsMeWafeeq — Google review
Opened in November 2014, The City Mall in Putrajaya stands as a modern shopping and leisure destination that blends contemporary architecture with functional design. The structure is impressively spacious, yet its layout is intuitive and easy to navigate. Thoughtfully designed lighting throughout the mall adds to the inviting ambiance, making it a pleasant place to stroll, shop, or relax. The mall features a wide range of mid-range retail brands, catering to a variety of shoppers. Its food offerings are equally diverse, with restaurants and cafés available both inside and outside the mall. One of the highlights is the beautiful fountain located at the entrance, which offers a refreshing breeze — especially welcome during Malaysia’s hot summer months. During my visit, the mall was hosting an exhibition of bonsai plants — miniature trees cultivated through traditional Japanese techniques that emphasize patience, care, and aesthetic harmony. It was a quiet yet fascinating highlight that added a cultural dimension to the shopping experience. The third floor is particularly vibrant, housing an IMAX cinema, a karaoke lounge, and even a cat-themed café — a quirky and enjoyable stop for animal lovers. If you prefer a quieter experience, it’s best to visit on weekdays. Weekends are often lively with events and performances, which can make it hard to even hold a conversation. Although Putrajaya is located about 30 minutes by train from Kuala Lumpur, The City Mall is definitely worth the trip for its calm atmosphere, thoughtful design, and variety of attractions.
Lina E — Google review
This massive mall lives up to its reputation as one of the largest in Malaysia. The endless variety of shops and restaurants means you can easily spend a whole day here without running out of things to do. Shopping is fantastic with everything from international brands to local boutiques. Food options are equally impressive - whether you want quick bites at the food court or a nice restaurant meal. The place stays clean and well-maintained despite the crowds. Family-friendly features like the indoor playground and cinema make it great for kids. Parking is plentiful though the lots can be confusing. Weekends get packed but the spacious layout prevents it from feeling too cramped. Rating: 4.5/5 - A must-visit mall that truly has something for everyone. Tip: Wear comfortable shoes - you'll be doing lots of walking! The basement level has some hidden gem eateries worth exploring.

Xiaoyuan H — Google review
IOI City Mall is Malaysia’s largest mall, and while it struggles with bathroom facilities and a somewhat plain exterior, the sheer variety of shops, dining options, and entertainment venues makes it a worthwhile destination. 4/5 – flawed but fun. Full Review: IOI City Mall, the largest mall in Malaysia, is a curious paradox. On the outside, it looks almost understated and unassuming, a far cry from the bombast one might expect from a mega-mall of this size. Step inside, however, and you’re greeted with an impressive sprawl of retail, dining, and entertainment options that makes it a genuine powerhouse in the Malaysian shopping scene. Let’s get one thing out of the way first: the bathroom situation is decidedly below par. Compared to malls in East Asia or even some Southeast Asian counterparts, IOI’s facilities simply don’t measure up. It’s a recurring frustration in Malaysia’s mall culture, and it remains the mall’s most glaring weakness. But here’s where IOI City Mall redeems itself: the shops. For international cravings, you’ve got Jollibee and Taco Bell, alongside local eateries and global franchises, ensuring there’s something for every palate. Movie buffs will appreciate the fact that there are two separate GSC cinemas under one roof—a novelty, if nothing else. Add in two supermarkets for convenience, and you start to see the mall’s appeal stretch beyond mere shopping. For me, personally, the presence of Samsung, Sony, and Uniqlo ticks all the right boxes. For others, the wide sweep of luxury fashion boutiques and lifestyle brands provides ample opportunity for indulgence. Whether you’re a window-shopper, a bargain hunter, or a fashionista, there’s space carved out for you here. IOI City Mall isn’t perfect—it suffers from design and functional quirks, and those restrooms really drag the experience down—but it’s undeniably a mall with heft. When judged by sheer variety, it’s one of Malaysia’s stronger players, capable of providing both retail therapy and leisure under one massive roof. Final Verdict: 4/5 IOI City Mall succeeds despite its flaws. It’s not the sleekest or the most refined, but the breadth of offerings makes it a solid destination for anyone in Malaysia.

KLIA2 has been my go-to airport for both domestic and international flights, and every time I pass through, I’m reminded of how massive and modern this place is. The design is practical yet stylish, with wide walkways and plenty of natural light coming in, which makes the whole experience feel less stressful. One thing I really appreciate is the variety of shops, restaurants, and cafés. Whether you just want a quick coffee before boarding, a full meal, or even some last-minute shopping, you’ll definitely find something here. The duty-free section is huge, with a good selection of brands at competitive prices. I’ve even done some spontaneous shopping while waiting for my flight. The check-in and security process is generally smooth. Of course, during peak holiday periods, it can get crowded, but the staff usually handle the flow of people efficiently. I’ve noticed that self-check-in kiosks and baggage drop counters make things much faster compared to the old way. Another thing worth mentioning is the connection to public transport. KLIA2 is very well linked with the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit trains, which get you to the city in under an hour. It’s so much more convenient than worrying about traffic. There’s also plenty of options for buses, taxis, and e-hailing services right outside. Walking distances inside the terminal can be long—so if you have heavy bags or are traveling with elderly family members, do prepare for that. But at the same time, the walk is lined with shops and eateries, so it doesn’t feel boring. Cleanliness is another strong point. The toilets are well-maintained, and the prayer rooms are spacious and comfortable. I’ve also found the signage inside the terminal to be clear and easy to follow, which is great for first-time travelers. Overall, KLIA2 gives a good impression of Malaysia to travelers coming in for the first time. It’s modern, organized, and has all the amenities you’d expect from a major international airport. Personally, I always feel a sense of excitement flying in and out of KLIA2—it’s more than just an airport; it feels like the start of a journey.

KLIA is a big and spacious airport with many facilities and clear signage. However, finding the eRide pickup point can be a bit confusing at first, especially for new visitors. Once you get familiar with the layout, everything else runs smoothly. Overall, a good experience in a large international airport.

KLIA2 is a modern and well-designed airport with plenty of facilities for travelers. The layout is spacious, clean, and easy to navigate, with clear signage guiding you from check-in to boarding. There’s a great variety of dining and shopping options — perfect for both quick bites and last-minute souvenirs. Immigration and security are generally efficient, though queues can get long during peak hours. The terminal’s connection to Gateway@KLIA2 adds extra convenience for food, rest, and shopping. Overall, a pleasant travel experience — comfortable, functional, and a solid 4-star airport for both local and international flights.

A smooth and straightforward experience at KLIA2. Security was a breeze – no queues at all and I was through in less than 5 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. The terminal is clean, well-organised, and easy to navigate, though don’t expect anything ultra-modern or luxurious. Airside, there’s not a huge variety of shops, but enough to pass the time. You’ll find the basics – a duty-free, a few chocolate and confectionery outlets, and some quick bites like Burger King and Kreate. Great if you’re after a snack or light meal before your flight. The terminal definitely focuses more on function than flair. One plus point is the amount of seating – plenty of space to relax near the gates without feeling crammed in. There’s also decent signage and helpful staff around if you need assistance. Ideal for budget airlines and quick getaways, KLIA2 isn’t flashy, but it’s efficient and gets you where you need to go without hassle.

KLIA2 is so badly designed without end consumers in mind. All if not regional airports in SEA provide charging stations which is for user’s convenience. Not KLIA2. They rather people use plug points for cleaners etc (that’s why you see people sitting on floors.) Also charging wall without any seat or table. Seriously what is wrong with you Malaysia Airports???? You keep ‘winning’ awards -but for what??? Awards don’t mean anything if you cannot get simple things right. I have to charge standing at empty counter which looks like an information desk/counter. Do your job right. You charge us passengers fees which is paid via the airline when we buy tickets. Do your part by providing proper professional service. Don’t just keep taking care of retailers.

The Sepang International Circuit is a venue for motorsports events as well as go-karting and tours. It has been open since 1999 and boasts of event facilities. The track is also popular for cycling, though the entry system sometimes causes long queues leading to waiting times that eat into valuable cycling time. Despite this issue, SIC offers a unique experience worth trying.
I was here for the Super GT show and it was absolutely AMAZING! The cars, the speed, the atmosphere — everything was on point. You can feel the adrenaline the moment the engines start roaring. The whole event was so well-organized, and the crowd’s energy made it even more thrilling. Seeing those powerful machines up close at Sepang Circuit was a dream come true. If you love racing, you have to experience it in person here. I’m still buzzing from the excitement — already looking forward to the next round! 🏎️🔥🇯🇵

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Had an unforgettable time at Sepang International Circuit for the Porsche Carrera Asia Cup! The atmosphere was electric, and the access to the paddock and starting grid made it a truly immersive experience. The lounge food was exceptional—great flavors and quality that made the day even better. Everything was well organized, and the entire event was top-notch. Sunset & sunrise viewing is popular on this grassy hill with panoramic valley views.
A more challenging hiking trail that attracts adventure seekers and nature lovers alike. Certain sections require strength and skill, making it an exciting trek for those looking for a bit of a challenge. Despite this, it remains a popular spot for young hikers. Nearby, a lively town offers a variety of delicious local food, drawing bikers and cyclists who stop by for a break. With fresh air and breathtaking mountain views at the top, this trail is a fantastic choice for an active day out with family and friends.

Wear full length covering, the shrubbery here is no joke. The new path is steep but safe, great hike to see the sunrise and feel the morning breeze flowing into the scenic Briga/Semenyih valley. Grab a refreshing coconut ice shake and a satisfying bowl of noodles right after your descent! (Thank me later ;)

🥾 The first peak of Broga Hill stands at approximately 400 meters (1,312 feet) above sea level and is the most popular photo spot, offering stunning panoramic views of lush greenery and misty morning skies — especially during sunrise. 🌾 Unlike most forested hills in Malaysia, the summit is uniquely covered in lalang grass (tall cogon grass) instead of dense trees, giving it a distinctive open and scenic look that draws hikers and Instagrammers alike

Nice place and short drive from KL. A good weekend outing to get refresh yourself. I went on 25/12/2020 and in the entrance they placed a notice saying entry ie closed from June 2020 yet lot of people going in. So we followed them and roads a bit rusty as it closed for months. But had a nice experience. Go to hill foot by 5 to 5:30 AM and trek takes give Or take 60 mins so that you can have nice and fresh air and sun rise. There are multiple ways lead to hill top and if you are trek enthusiast then there is a path where you need to a moderate climb(assisting ropes are available) Things to carry, torch/head light. Water(mostly they sell if hill is open for visitors but for us No as such as its closed for CMCO), and limited car parking. I heard that Usually they charge RM 1 + RM 1 but today we were charged us RM 10/pax by saying CMCO & SOP practicing. So prepare for that extra payment if you are planning in CMO time. And its definitely not a family outing place so avoid kids, elderly, who has issues with heart or knees issues and who don't appreciate the beauty of Nature. Attached some photos to convince you that, must visit one before you get 40. 😉
R G — Google review
Broga hill located at semenyih. During rmco need to pay rm1 per person for parking, rm1 per person for entrance fee. Need to scan temperature and write down detail before hiking. Weekends more people will go hiking, but we are lucky because we hike during weekday, and less people on weekdays. Some part not easy to hike, need to use rope to climb, we only manage to go until 2nd peak, no more stamina to go 3rd peak, maybe during mco we rest too much, so a bit lack of breath and stamina when we go hiking. Bring sufficient water to dehydrated yourself.

Going up was alot easier than coming down. Good place to hike, not when it's raining tho. Some dogs are up on the second level but they're very tame and polite, perhaps bring along some food for them if anyone wants to hike up there's.

The Army Museum Port Dickson is a must-visit attraction for history enthusiasts and photography lovers alike. Located in the district of Sirusa, this museum boasts an impressive collection of war-related artifacts, including army vehicles like tanks and fighter jets. Visitors can explore a subterranean tunnel that provides unique photo opportunities for social media.
I went here with my friends last week and we love this place. I really like how they maintain and preserve most of the artifacts. It was very well kept. A good place to drop by with kids where they can gain lots of historical knowledge. Also the ticket price is quite cheap at about RM2 per entry.
Parimila — Google review
Limited parking within premises, so be there early. They open at 10 a.m. Tickets was RM 2 / adult. Beside the ticketing counter was a green screen backdrop for them to take your photo which will edited to the museum background, printed 1 large & 1 miniature sized for RM 60 as a souvenir, ready to collected when you leave. There were some decommissioned feet of planes, helicopters, armoured cars, artillery cannons, bikes, trains & monuments on display in the yard. Inside the gallery area is air conditioned with antique weapon of wars & historical narration on display. My first visit and is recommended place to visit.
CH Y — Google review
Really impressed by the place! Entry at RM2 for adult. Limited parking, just park by the road side or opposite the place at near residence area. The place is interesting with indoor displays of gallery and an underground walk of the CPM communist party of Malayan history. Many showcase of the weapons, war machines like tanks, helicopter, even train. Spent more than an hour at this place. If really keen into the history I think you can have 2 or more hours here.

Here’s a concise 200‑character review: Free entry with RM 2 fee since Jan 1 2025. Outdoor tanks, helicopters, military gear, indoor galleries on Malaysian Army history, plus a recreated tunnel. A fun, educational hidden gem.

Great place for learning, very under rated museum. They introduced and explanined alot about the ATM tha wasnt taught in history classes in school. Galleries were sectioned into few categories ranging from Melakan Sultanate, British and Dutch colonisation and also the Malayan troops. They also introduced the generals as well. Many weapons, artifacts, documents, tanks etc were showcased. It would be better if the poster had english explanations as i di see some foreign tourist struggling to understand without translation. Overrall recommended to visit esp with teene or young adults

P.D. Ostrich Show Farm, located at 9th mile along the Port Dickson beach road, offers a diverse range of attractions for animal lovers and adventure seekers. In addition to ostriches, visitors can encounter peacocks, jungle fowls, monkeys, and various farm animals in open paddocks shaded by large trees.
Had a pleasant visit and fun experience at 𝗣𝗗 𝗢𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺. Ostriches are the highlights where we get to touch and race with the Ostrich too. We can feed the farm animals such as cows, goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs and many more.  Kids enjoy the train ride, horse carriage ride and horse ride. This place is well maintained and staff is friendly too.

+ You can park for free, but spots are limited. + Adult admission is RM25, while children under 12 are RM20. Animal feed is available for purchase at RM9. + There are tons of fun family activities here like feeding animals, playing with guinea pigs and rabbits, riding a pony at Cowboy Place, cat's home, and checking out the dinosaur village. + It's not just for fun. this place educates us about animal life habitats. The staff will help you out with explanations. + Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. + If you wanna try Sate Ostrich, you can also order it at their Café. + The restroom is accessible. Additionally, there are ATV and archery activities, but I am unsure of their availability. It seems they may not be well maintained. The same goes for their herbal oasis. All in all, it's a fantastic spot for family fun when you're in Port Dickson. Don't forget to bring an umbrella since we'll be walking around in this open area.

One of the must-go destination when you are going holiday in Port Dickson. Although it is named "Ostrich Farm", there are also lots of animals such as guinea pig, farm animals, and even cats and dogs. There are even some events there such as Ostrich Race. Moreover, you can also hand-feed them, but you need to add on extra money to buy their foods. Overall, I had an enjoyable moment there. Recommended 👍

Quite different from the few years ago picture which shared on review. The farm doesnt seem to do so well. Anyway my kids enjoyed the farm since they grew up already. Great exposure for todays children. Desaru farmhouse seem to have better upkeep. Cant see myself to hit the 4th star.

Fun place to bring your kids! You can spend around 1 to 2 hours as the place is not that big. Theres ostrich, goats, snakes, rabbits, chickens, snakes, cats and dogs. Theres also a paid train ride. However it seems that some of the facilities are not well maintained. But still a great place to go! You can get the ticket at the counter.

If you're benchmarking with other established park this will not be the place but if you have kids and 1-2 hours spare time, things could be fun and relaxing here.

Outer side looks rundown but thats what makes it looks less commercialised. We were greeted with a bunch of goats thats where we can exposed the children to the authentic farm smell. Next theres a few healthy looking ostriches and an instructor that was so dedicated with the knowledge of ostrich explained patiently to us about the farm animals. I can see the uncle really sayang her ostriches. My girl enjoy the feeding of animals a lot. There was a 11.30 show, added to the fun was a few excited children decided to race with the ostriches. Of course the ostrich won. On top of that i also do see 2 vet personnels were checking on the animals, can see well maintained. Highly recommended to children or to whoever that comes to PD. We spent about 1 hour plus here.

Cape Rachado Lighthouse

Cape Rachado Lighthouse, located within the 80-hectare Cape Rachado Forest Reserve, is a historic whitewashed lighthouse offering stunning views of the cape. The area has a rich history, with a naval battle between the Portuguese and Dutch armadas taking place in 1606. Since 1921, it has been a nature reserve and serves as an egg-laying site for turtles and a migratory bird stopover.
The main trail is asphalt Road. I would consider this walking, but the uphill is nice as plenty of people came here to exercise. The view of the lighthouse was beautiful, but unfortunately there wasn't a clear view of the ocean from the lighthouse as its surrounded by trees. Its well shaded, and even though we started late at 10:30 am it was not too hot (probably thanks to the rain earlier in the morning). Nevertheless its a nice relaxing walk.
Raphael W — Google review
A Peaceful Walk to the Lighthouse Walking through the forest trail to reach the lighthouse was truly a refreshing experience. The path itself is surrounded by beautiful greenery, and the air feels clean and calming, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination. Although I was a little disappointed that visitors are not allowed to enter the lighthouse (as the security staff mentioned), the walk itself made up for it. Along the way, you’ll find several hiking paths branching off into the forest, perfect if you enjoy exploring. One of these trails even leads down to a quiet beach, which adds an extra layer of adventure to the trip. The entire area is free of charge, which is a wonderful bonus for anyone looking for a relaxing outdoor activity without spending anything. Overall, it’s a lovely spot to enjoy nature, unwind, and take in the surroundings, even if the lighthouse itself remains off-limits.
Baron F — Google review
Not bad at all. Just very short walk to get to the light house, the view in photo. Walkway is properly tar also mostly covered with trees so it is very friendly to anyone even for the kids. Free entrance for now. Parking can be limited. Oh and there are so many beaches nearby, with different view. Happy exploring.
Nicexplore — Google review
Was not expecting a hike - about 700m or 800m to the lighthouse which ended up not being open. I encounted some monkeys on the way up which seem to be eating and minding its own business. There were multiple hiking trail that leads down to the beach. The light house was ordinary. Recommended to hiking fanatics.
WorstDad — Google review
For first timer, the view of the lighthouse is quite impressive. However, at the base on the lighthouse as per the view towards the horizon is just mediocre as it has been blocked by trees and branches. Was told 30 years ago, the view was stunning. There were no trees. Only rocks. Now the trees were overgrown.
Gary O — Google review
We came for hiking the jungle trail. It was quite tough with several uphill sections which will leave the average guy breathless. Going up the Batu Putih formation was quite a challenge as one has to pull oneself up using the ropes provided. Coming down was especially unnerving. But the scenery of the sea and during the walk was spectacular. The lighthouse was built in 1863 and was very nice. The walk started at Villea Hotel car park and took us more than 3 hours
Cher K — Google review
Great place for mini hiking (120 above ground level only). Elevated not too steep either. Distance less than 1km up the mini hill. There are few jungle trails, but we didn't try. Lighthouse was built in 1863. Very historical and meaningful. Too bad, can only view the lighthouse from outside.

My very first mountain hike! Overall, it wasn't too bad—just don’t look up haha. You’ll need supportive members, and there aren’t that many incredible views along the way. But at the peak, there are lots of great spots for OOTD photos 👍🏻

Easy to moderate hike. Clean and has a good trail. Some parts can be slightly challenging. Bring enough water and enjoy the hike.

Distance 4KM Elevation 827 mts Duration ascending 2hrs Duration descending 1hr Difficulty Moderate Entry fee for Malaysian RM5 Entry fee for Foreigners RM 20 Rest room & shower facility at the trail head The trail is well maintained with assisted ropes ,sign boards and milestones. Although the elevation gain is 827meters its not that taxing because of the 4km distance and thanks to the dense forest for shade and breeze. The ticket counter opens at 7:30am and its good time to start your hiking so that you can be back before lunch time. The view at the peak is not 360 due to trees but you can still have a look at the mountains.

Nice trails for a Sunday hike: we went up the hill from the Northern side, seems a very popular trail in good condition (when it is not raining). It took us about 2hs to reach the peak. After a little break we went back into the valley using the trail into North-East direction. The trail is a bit more difficult. To get back to the starting point we had to walk about two kilometres along the busy national road. In total, it took us around 5hs (2hs up, 3hs down), plus an additional hour for relax and recharge at the peak.

Been here before, few years back maybe 5 or years ago. It used to be better. It's another good example to demonstrate the importance of maintenance and proper maintenance. The outlet is ageing. Most of the shops in there need a major face-lift to demonstrate that it's a premium outlet. Washrooms are good indicator too.

Not a bad place. 4km detour from the tool. I didn't come here for shopping but rather just to kill a few hours before going to airport and lunch. Nice design and well kept quiet place on weekday working hours. Interesting point was the Coach shop in a b747 airplane.

We stop by this Outlet just by chance, as we were passing by on our way back from attending a wedding reception. Obviously, my wife just HAD to drop by... The Outlet Building was only one floor, but sprawled over quite a huge area. The design seemed to be of Dutch Colonial themed or inspired, and they looked quite magnificent. I was impressed by the giant windmill located in the centre, which was a major attraction for the visitors. There was also a carousel or merry-go-round, but was not patronized somehow. Most visitors appeared to be contented to just sitting around, soaking in the festive atmosphere... The Chinese New Year festive feeling was still in the air. Hence the patrons were mostly chinese families, who had come here as part of their holidays and celebrations. There was also a malay wedding ceremony happening at the Banquet Hall, with various mix of people attending the event. Other than that, I didnt see much shopping going on, or maybe it was because the CNY sale was already over?

Sungai Melaka is a fun place to visit, especially for a river walk or boat ride. It can be very hot during the day, so bring water and a hat. A relaxing and beautiful spot to enjoy in Melaka.

I have visited Melaka a number of times. It was one of our family's vacation spots. The river was something I had never given much thought to until I watched the movie Entrapment a few years ago. My curiosity was piqued, and I paid a little more attention on the river's beauty this time. The river is most beautiful to behold in the evening when there are boats selling passes and night lights along the river. A shot stroll in the evening while taking in the scenery of some of the historical buildings along the river. Date visited: 8th January 2024

Take a stroll in the evening…the night scene is very colorful.

A Pawsitively Perfect Husky Haven! If you’re a husky lover (or just a dog enthusiast), The Huskitory in Melaka is an absolute must-visit. From the moment we stepped in, we were blown away by how spotless the space was— clean and well-maintained interaction area. The huskies themselves are stars here. Each one is happy, well-groomed, and surprisingly calm—even during playtime! They’re clearly well-socialized. What truly sets The Huskitory apart is its team. The staff are not only friendly but knowledgeable about every husky’s personality and history. They took time to share stories about each dog, answered all our questions, and even gave tips on interacting with them safely. If you’re looking for a heartwarming, stress-free experience with some of the most beautiful huskies around, The Huskitory is worth every minute. We left with a pocket full of photos and a huge smile. 🐾

Highly recommended! First time experience at Huskitory. Staff was so friendly and helpful at explaining and handling the husky they look after. Great service from mahesh and Jane. The dogs were also so well behaved and friendly. Food can be purchased at 3 packs for Rm5 or 1 pack at Rm2. Phototaking services also available from Rm35 to Rm55.
SH — Google review
At first, the experience seemed nice, but it quickly felt very orchestrated. The music was far too loud, and we just wanted a relaxed time with the dogs. Unfortunately, the dogs were made to “perform” constantly for photos instead of being allowed to rest naturally. We were also repeatedly asked to buy treats, and even after saying no, they still brought out puppies. One older puppy (just a few months old) was given to me, and a brand-new baby was placed with my sister. When the attendant told us to “move closer” several times for a photo, the older pup suddenly bit the baby’s ear, taking the tip off. It was an awful moment, and we left soon after, hoping both pups were okay. One of the dogs also had its toenails cut extremely short, which looked painful. It’s also worth noting this isn’t actually a café — there’s no coffee or food served. We were given cold water (which was appreciated) and the air conditioning was good. The majority of the dogs were lovely and well-behaved, but overall the experience felt more about photo ops than genuine animal care or guest comfort.

To be honest I think the price is quite pricey and the treats weren’t included, rm2 each pack. Many of the huskies were quite aggressive and only come to you if you have treats. Photo in frame were excluded (RM35-55) . The time felt very fast and many of the dogs were tired so they just sleep on the floor

The Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum, located in the Chinatown area of Melaka, is a must-visit attraction that offers a glimpse into the history and culture of local Chinese Malays. Housed in an ornate home that once belonged to the wealthy Chan family, this museum showcases artifacts and exhibits celebrating the Peranakan culture, which is a blend of Chinese and Malay influences.
Really great house heritage museum. Gorgeous and well curated house with great history. Also, staff is really friendly and professional. They have free English tours at 11am on Saturday and free Chinese tours at 3pm on Saturday. However, I didn’t arrive at the time. Instead, I used the free WiFi and free audio tour guide that is provided by QR codes throughout the house. There is also a place to refill water, bathrooms, and certain areas with seating and air conditioning. I would spend about 1 hour exploring here.

Very well maintained heritage museum. The introduction was short and simple but enough to tell the do's and don't. Staircase to the second floor for further viewing is a bit steepzl, some may not like it. I don't recommend for children less than 4 years old. At least child is able to understand and don't run around. Photography is allow, BUT NO FLASH! QR codes to scan to learn more. There's also a souvenir shop just before you exit the house.

A well preserved house turned museum in Melaka!! The place is located in the heart of the Old Town and very accessible by car or foot. And, the museum is still owned and managed by the family. The museum offers a glimpse of Baba & Nyonya life back in the old days. You can follow their story by listening to the audio guide that you can access from your mobile. Each story is short yet packed with information. The ticket costs 25RM for foreigners.

Visited this place on a Saturday and it was packed with visitors, especially tourists from abroad. The house’s structure reminded me a lot of my grandfather’s home built in the 1900s, featuring many similar design details, including a hidden opening hole on the first floor that overlooks the main entrance downstairs. Entrance fee is RM 25 per adult. Overall, it’s a great spot to explore the rich customs and heritage of the Baba Nyonya community in Malaysia.

Diana P — Google review
The Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum is a treasured cultural heritage site in Malacca's heart. It authentically recreates the lives of the Peranakan Chinese, a group that emerged from the long-term integration of early Chinese immigrants with the local Malaysian community. Formerly the century-old residence of the Zeng family, the museum was converted into a museum in 1985, to systematically preserve and display their unique architecture, furnishings, clothing, and everyday items. Guided tours offer insightful explanations of the social structure, religious beliefs, and customs of the Baba and Nyonya people, providing valuable insights into and understanding Malaysia's diverse cultural landscape.

We went here for a culture and heritage. If you go to Malacca without visiting Jonker, then you are not really visiting Malacca. The market is quite long and have a lot of items available from foods, souvenirs and clothes. Beside hawker stall, few shops are also open. The vibe here is very nice, lot of people, crowded but it's good tho. Parking can be struggle around this area so make sure to plan your arrival well. From here you also can walk to others historical spots like afamosa, makam hang kasturi, museum, menara jam and stadhuys. Some items here are quite rare too. Jonker Street (Jalan Hang Jebat, Melaka) Located in the heart of Melaka’s Chinatown, Malaysia Jonker Street, officially known as Jalan Hang Jebat, is the vibrant soul of Melaka’s Chinatown — a lively stretch famous for its night market, heritage shophouses, antique stores, cafés, and street food. Once home to wealthy Peranakan (Straits Chinese) families, the street’s architecture reflects centuries of cultural fusion — Dutch, Portuguese, Chinese, and British influences all intertwined in ornate façades and wooden shutters. By day, Jonker Street is a charming lane of antique dealers, art galleries, craft shops, and traditional bakeries, selling everything from vintage cameras and porcelain to pineapple tarts and handmade jewelry. When night falls, the entire street transforms into one of Malaysia’s most beloved night markets — buzzing with food stalls, music, and lights. Visitors can savour local favourites like chicken rice balls, cendol, Nyonya laksa, satay celup, and fried radish cake, while browsing through rows of souvenirs and handmade crafts. The air is filled with laughter, the aroma of grilled skewers, and the rhythm of buskers performing under lanterns. Beyond its food and fun, Jonker Street is also a living museum — a place where heritage, commerce, and community coexist. Nearby attractions include Cheng Hoon Teng Temple (Malaysia’s oldest Chinese temple), Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum, and Kampung Kling Mosque, all within walking distance. Today, Jonker Street remains the beating heart of Melaka’s old town — a symbol of multicultural Malaysia and a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience its historic charm, creative energy, and timeless street life.

One of the most iconic spots in Melaka — those red colonial buildings are just stunning! Right across Jonker Street, it’s the perfect place for photos, a quick stroll, or even a fun trishaw ride. Lovely architecture when in the square. During the day it looks really nice, at night, there are lots of lights and vehicles which light up. Sometimes the vehicles can take up a lot of the square and you will be asked 100 times if you want a ride but aside from that it's a nice visit. Only takes around 15 minutes to look around

🌍 A Walk Through Melaka’s Red Square If there’s one place in Melaka that every traveler ends up at, it’s the Red Square, also known as Dutch Square. Right in the heart of the city, this iconic spot glows with a unique charm – thanks to its terracotta red buildings that have become the face of Melaka’s old town. Stepping into the square feels like stepping into a living postcard. The Stadthuys, built in 1650, stands proudly as one of the oldest Dutch buildings in Asia. Once the governor’s office during the Dutch rule, today it serves as a museum, telling stories of Melaka’s colorful past. Beside it, the Christ Church, with its giant white cross, has watched over the square since 1753. Walk inside and you’ll find Dutch tombstones and a ceiling made entirely without nails – a true masterpiece of old craftsmanship. But Red Square isn’t just about the Dutch. The Queen Victoria Fountain, built by the British in 1904, splashes a refreshing reminder of Melaka’s later colonial chapter. And just a few steps away stands the Tan Beng Swee Clock Tower from 1886, a gift from a wealthy Chinese family – showing how cultures intertwined in this little town. Interestingly, the buildings weren’t always red. During the Dutch era, they were painted white. It was only under the British that the walls turned their famous terracotta shade, creating the “Red Square” we know today. Now, the square is alive with color and sound – trishaws decked in flowers and blasting pop songs, tourists snapping photos, and the scent of local snacks drifting in from nearby stalls. It’s a place where history and modern life meet in one vibrant frame. So, whether you come for the history, the Instagram-worthy shots, or simply to soak up the atmosphere, Red Square is Melaka’s timeless stage, where centuries of stories continue to echo. --- ✨ Fun Facts & Travel Tips 📸 Best photo spot: Capture the Christ Church with the clock tower in the same frame – best taken in the morning before the crowds. 🚲 Trishaw rides: A bit touristy, but fun! Each trishaw is decorated with cartoon themes and lights, and they’ll take you around the heritage zone. 🕰 History nugget: The Stadthuys is almost 400 years old – making it the oldest surviving Dutch building in Southeast Asia. 🌅 Best time to visit: Late afternoon or sunset – when the red walls glow warmly under the golden light. 🍦 Nearby snack: Try the local coconut shake or Nyonya kuih at the small stalls close to the square.

Sights & Landmarks
Church of Saint Paul, Malacca, is a historic site located on the summit of St. Paul's Hill. Originally built in 1521 by a Portuguese nobleman as an offering to the Virgin Mary, the church now stands in ruins with its roof gone and intricate tombstones belonging to Dutch noblemen. The site holds significance as it was constructed on the grounds of the last Malaccan sultan's palace and has witnessed various events throughout history.
You have history talking out of every remaining wall of the ruins. As you walk through the different parts of what was once a very impressive structure you realise that it has been witness to so much. Maintenance could be better, but nonetheless it should be a must visit when in Melaka. It's a short climb up, but once there the views are outstanding.

The Church of Saint Paul ruins are a must-visit in Malacca. Sitting on top of the hill, the site offers a captivating look at old history and provides breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the sea. You'll love seeing the ancient tombstones within the walls Quick Tips for Visiting Be Ready for Crowds: On weekends and holidays, it can be very crowded. Avoid Midday: Do not visit around noon! The sun is strong, the climb is hot, and there is little shade. Go early morning or late afternoon for a much better experience. Bring Essentials: Remember sunscreen, a hat, and water! It's an essential stop for any traveler in Malacca. Enjoy!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Peaceful Historical Landmark with Stunning Views – Church of Saint Paul, Malacca The Church of Saint Paul in Malacca is truly one of the most iconic and peaceful landmarks I have ever visited. Located on top of St. Paul’s Hill, this historical site offers not just a glimpse into the rich colonial history of Malaysia but also one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of Malacca city. As soon as you begin walking up the hill toward the church, you can feel the peaceful atmosphere and the sense of history in every step. The path leading up is surrounded by greenery, and even though it’s a short climb, it feels refreshing and calming. Along the way, you can see other old structures and statues, each with a story from the Portuguese and Dutch eras. When I reached the top, the ruins of the Church of Saint Paul stood gracefully, even after centuries. The stone walls, open windows, and ancient tombstones inside the structure give a timeless beauty to the place. The interior is simple, yet every corner carries deep historical value. You can still see inscriptions and old carvings on the walls that tell stories of people who once prayed and lived here long ago. The most amazing part for me was the view from the hilltop. You can see the entire Malacca city, the Straits of Malacca, and even the distant modern skyline blending with the red roofs of the old town. It’s a perfect spot for photography — especially during sunrise or sunset when the sky turns golden and the city lights begin to glow. What I also loved was how well-maintained the area is. The surroundings are clean, the pathways are safe, and local guides or signboards give clear information about the church’s history. Even though it can get a little crowded during weekends or public holidays, the place never loses its peaceful vibe. It’s ideal for both history lovers and tourists looking for a calm and meaningful experience. There’s no entrance fee, which makes it even more welcoming. You can spend as much time as you want exploring the ruins, taking pictures, or simply sitting on the benches nearby to enjoy the breeze and the view. For me, it was not just a tourist visit — it felt like stepping back in time and connecting with history. One small tip: wear comfortable shoes, especially if you’re visiting on a sunny day, as the climb can get warm. Bring a bottle of water and don’t forget your camera — you’ll definitely want to capture the stunning scenery. Overall, the Church of Saint Paul is a must-visit place in Malacca. It combines history, beauty, and tranquility in a way that very few places do. Whether you’re a local traveler or coming from abroad, this site will give you a deep appreciation for Malacca’s cultural heritage. I left the place feeling peaceful and inspired — it’s truly one of those destinations that touches your heart and stays in your memory forever. 🌤️📸✨

Oldest European built building east of India. A palpable piece of history. All that remains are the church walls; the roof has long since been destroyed. The climb up to this church on its hill is doable, not very arduous for those who can climb 3 to 4 stories of stairs. Unfortunately the ambience is marred by blue tents of vendors selling tourist trinkets, and the crowds of tourists during the weekend. If you go during the quiet hours, you can sit among the ruins and reflect over its long studied history and the march of time.

A historic landmark perched on a hill, offering panoramic views of the city below. Its old ruins tell stories of the past, making it a fascinating spot for history lovers and photographers alike.
RAJIB R — Google review
St. Paul’s Church, perched on a hill overlooking the Straits of Malacca, remains one of the city’s most evocative landmarks. Built in 1521 by the Portuguese nobleman Duarte Coelho, it was originally called Nossa Senhora da Annunciada (Our Lady of the Annunciation). Later renamed St. Paul's, it served as a symbol of Malacca’s early European colonial history. The church witnessed transitions under Portuguese, Dutch, and British rule and now stands in dignified ruins, its weathered stone walls and open sky roof silently echoing centuries of faith, conquest, and change. We climbed the hill twice during our time in Malacca—each visit offering something different. The first was to take in the panoramic view: the city’s rooftops, the distant waters, and the quiet stillness of a space steeped in history. On our second ascent, we brought the drone to capture the site from above. As the camera rose into the morning air, St. Paul’s revealed its quiet grandeur—crumbling yet enduring, open to the sky yet grounded in deep time. Amid this filming, we met a local singer resting beneath the shade. Conversation flowed easily, and we soon found ourselves exchanging music and stories. I shared with him two songs from my Phenomenology Series: “Let the Peace Flow” and “Who Bears the Fire.” It felt fitting—singing about presence, perception, and inner stillness in a place where time seems suspended. The ruins, with their stone tombs and arched openings, became more than just historical remnants; they turned into a contemplative space where music, memory, and humanity intertwined. In that moment, the hill was no longer just a tourist stop—it became a quiet stage for connection, reflection, and the living rhythm of art in dialogue with place.
Meng C — Google review
A residence of the Jesuits, in patronage of St. Paul, which was later converted into a graveyard. It was built atop this hill, in the day before European arrival, called Bukit Melaka. It was never a church. Great panoramic views all round without paying for a skyshot up the taming sari. Gentle hike up and down, which benches to sit.

Gunung Ledang

Mentioned on

Mountain peak
Nature & Parks
Mountains
Mount Ophir, also known as Gunung Ledang, is the tallest peak in the region and holds a significant place in local folklore. Situated between Johor and Melaka, it offers two hiking routes, campgrounds, and picturesque waterfalls. The ascent is challenging and not recommended for beginners due to its technical nature with rocky paths, ladders, and ropes.
Gunung Ledang is a beautiful and serene escape into nature. The waterfalls at the base are refreshing and great for families, while the hiking trails offer a real sense of adventure with ropes and ladders along the way. The forest is lush, peaceful, and full of fresh air — perfect for anyone wanting a break from city life. Bring good shoes, water, and snacks, and go early to enjoy the tranquility before the crowds arrive. Truly a gem in Johor!
Faizul R — Google review
At 1276 meters, Gunung Ledang (aka Mount Ophir) is the tallest peak in Johor and one of Peninsular Malaysia’s most legendary climbs. The trail lures weekend warriors with mossy forests, giant boulders, and ladders that may or may not have been installed during the Ming Dynasty. But Gunung Ledang isn’t just a mountain—it’s the stage for one of Malaysia’s most dramatic Malay folklore tragedies: Puteri Gunung Ledang. She was the elusive princess who rejected Sultan Mahmud of Melaka by demanding impossible dowry conditions—like a vat of virgin’s tears, a bowl of the Sultan’s son’s blood, and seven trays of mosquito hearts. Some say she still haunts the peak, possibly judging climbers’ fashion choices. 🥾 Distance: ~10–12 km round trip ⏱️ Time: 5–9 hours depending on fitness and existential crises 📍 Location: Tangkak, Johor ⚠️ Permits required, and local guides are mandatory 🌄 Best time to start: before sunrise if you enjoy misty fairytale vibes and mild existential dread Whether you believe in spirits or just want a workout that feels like a mythological punishment, Gunung Ledang delivers. Bonus points if you scream her name at the summit and get a mysterious breeze in return. Good for: hikers, folklore lovers, and those wondering if mosquito hearts are a metaphor for modern dating.

A rather technical hike that is definitely not for beginners. Good to have some bit of training as the ascent can take about 5-6hrs and the descent another 4-5hrs. Starts with paths, then rocky path, then ladders and ropes. Can be rather gruelling and bad for the knees, especially on the descent. View is decent. There’s better views elsewhere but definitely worth a climb for avid climbers.
Han L — Google review
This trail is above beginner. Muddy, slippery and you can easily get lost if you don't have a guide. Me and my friends started our climb at 8AM, went to the Peak B around 1PM and Peak A (Summit) around 2PM. It was an awesome experience climbing this mountain. My first out of the country mountain peak. This is highly recommended and will surely be back again.

End of June 2022: I made it to the summit of Mount Ophir. The daytrip (up and down) took me 11 hours. RM152 per pax, including tour guide and packed lunch. There’s penalty of RM50 per group if u returned after 7pm. Early August 2022: Went for photoshoot by the roadside. The view is still amazing and breathtaking

Gunung Ledang is a well known mountain shrouded thick with the legend of Princess Ledang. Also named as Mount Ophir, it lays between Johor and Melaka with 2 hiking routes, camp sites and waterfalls. Started at around 8am, 7 of us hiked with our friendly guide for about 7hours uphill via Sagil trail from Tangkak, Johor. The first few check points were warm ups in retrospect for the latter ones as more and more lengthy ladders replaced the sturdy hiking path. Towards the peak, ladders gave way to ropes and eventually we found ourselves abseiling to the top. View by now was breath-taking, both figuratively and literally.Especially fresh in my memory was the cool breeze in the foggy Japanese Garden near peak. By noon, we've summited and surrounded by clouds all around. Next, we headed downwards to a tent site for some much needed rest and a self-heating hot meal, what a life-saver. Hike down was a rather no-brainer with a hiking pole. By 6pm and 10 hours later, we've completed the trail of about 6km+ safely. All in all, I'd say it's a rather technical hike involving some ladder climbing & abseiling. Medium difficulty. Good to be fit enough to enjoy the hike.

It's challenging trekking. I went there for 2D 1N camping. You can do day hike as well but its very tiring and rushing. Sunrise view is very amazing and its cold on top peak. Waterfall is nearby the camp site and its amazing creature! Beginner is not advise, this trekking is for intermediate to expert level.

Tanjung Emas Muar

City park
Riverside city park with paths, benches, lawns & shaded areas.
A beautiful spot with a great view over the riverbank! Tanjung Emas offers a wide open space, perfect for various outdoor activities and family outings. The scenic river view makes for a relaxing stroll, while the cool breeze in the morning is ideal for jogging. A must-visit place to enjoy nature and unwind in Muar!

This is the most Beautiful park we ever visited. The place is so huge and clean. There are lots of lights decorations everywhere. Beautiful place to just relax and unwind. There are some activities for kids too like the playground and electric car. And it is along the river so it is nice to stroll around or even go for jogging. On the outer area near the mosque there is also a fountain night show every 30mins.
Bea B — Google review
For people from Muar, this is a very familiar place. In the morning, many come here for exercise and jogging. By evening, the whole area is beautifully decorated with colorful lights and streamers. Many people come here with their families to exercise or take a walk, and children enjoy driving electric cars or playing around here.
KH T — Google review
Come early in the morning. If possible join the fajr prayer in the nearby mosque. Then enjoy the sunrise coming from the bridge while running or walking. I think people who live in this town are really blessed to have a park beside this beautiful river.

Nice public park... And you can ride a 30-minute river cruise along the Muar River... You can buy the ticket on the spot without booking in advance

The cleanest park I've ever been and have that cozy vibe. People who wish for tranquility can come here!

Golf course is pretty decent but could use higher and more fence to protect nearby joggers from stray balls going off the fairway or tee box. Fairways are very fluffy and woods friendly most of the time. Beware of monkeys if you have food or unsecured belongings as well even if you're jogging. Track is quite good for morning jogging too but watch out for those golf balls!

Not so far from Batu Pahat city. Nothing much as compared to other shopping malls. It has two parking areas which are basement and roof top parkings. Not to forget open air parking lot outside the mall. The good thing for this mall is its parking lot is free to park.

UK Farm is a peaceful farmstay that offers simple and comfortable accommodations. Aside from lodging, the place also boasts of dining options, a cafe and even a petting zoo where children can get up close with animals like goats, ducks, chickens, ostriches, deer, peacocks, rabbits and horses. The Mini Bus farm tour package comes with feeding sets for the animals as well as guides to help visitors navigate their way around.
Our family of 4 had a great time at UK Farm for just RM120, and that even included food for feeding the animals! The 2-hour guided tour was the highlight — the guide gave clear and informative explanations, so we could really understand the whole farm process. We also enjoyed a cultural show by the Orang Asli and got to visit their traditional jungle bedroom, which was an eye-opening experience. Our kids especially loved the bus tour around the farm, and we all got to taste different goat milk flavours for free — a fun and tasty surprise! You can even buy fresh goat milk directly from the farm. Overall, it was a fun, educational, and memorable outing for the whole family. Highly recommended!

Seriously the farmstay is not up to expectations. Room chalets is far from the reception and restaurant. Room condition is bad with lots of ants. They keep biting my feet. There are non activities or ZERO except farm tour only. All their activities advertise or in website is not reflected and never take full package if you really wanna stay. That's all and staying in this resort is not recommended. The only worth going is the farm tour or day tour and that's all. Tips: All highlight in the photos attached. Road to the farm is ok with nice tar road. Only farm tour is worth. Restaurant food is not ok too. The only best is their milk 😁

This mall feels quite uncomfortable because there’s barely any air conditioning. It gets hot and stuffy, especially when it’s crowded. Maybe the air conditioning system needs maintenance or stronger cooling. Not the best place to shop for long periods.

This is my first time to this mall and I was surprised to see many international brands here such as Uniqlo and H&M and Xiaomi. Gunung Lambak is a small recreational mountain in Kluang, rising 510 meters above sea level. It offers adventurous jungle trekking with paths and stairs leading to the top. The area surrounding Gunung Lambak features various attractions such as traditional cafes, street arts, farm stays, and local eateries offering special desserts made from Malaysian favorite fruits like durian and coconut.
You can climb up the mountain via two routes - one is more steep and involves holding on to guide ropes as you scale up the slopes. Another route has a relatively gentler slope coming up/going down - both routes meet at around a few hundred meters in elevation at a midway point where you can proceed further up to the mountain peak. Bring water, chocolate/energy bars and be sure of your footing as some parts can be dangerous (one fall and its game over). Take your time to go up/down and avoid coming here during or after rain as conditions will be treacherous. Good luck and happy climbing!

Great hike. In and out trail. No permit required. Approx 3 hours total time. Plenty of Street side parking available. Requires moderate fitness level with steep ascsnts.
Zon — Google review
Not easy but really nice experience. Don't take the extreme path unless you really like challenges. It's absolutely for above average hikers. Even the public path is rocky and longer than the extreme. Overall, a wonderful yet exhausting hiking experience.
Dr. O — Google review
Not easy to climb...especially from mid mountain to the peak, which needs ropes to ascend, and with plenty of steps that are as high as waist height... Need all fours at times. Coming down is even more challenging, and slipped a few times, until I learnt from some of locals who speedily descended by holding on to ropes and moving down backfacing... I should have given more time to it... Instead of 3hrs, next time I will give it a 5 hr so I can slowly enjoy the trek.
Sean S — Google review
Hiked here on a misty and light rainy day, its super humid and slippery big mistake. Ok but this mountain is a great hike, its moderate meaning that you need to be moderately fit for it. This trail in my experience is pretty confusing as it doesn't have clear marks to show whether you're going 1st peak or 2nd peak so I only went for the second peak and gave up. It's a constant steep hike upwards with a few ropeclimbs and it goes allll the way up. so RIP my thighs.
Khay R — Google review
During our stay in Kluang, we hiked up Mount (Gunung) Lambak and it was one of the best things I have ever completed. We opted to go for the extreme trail which involved using ropes and the roots of trees to help us get up, but it was worth it. The hidden waterfalls were stunning, the wildlife was incredible and the views were out of this world. A wild dog even joined us.
James R — Google review
I can say for sure the trekking is good for beginner and intermediate, well build steps and ropes..the challenges starts on the half to top pathway..but what i like the most is how friendly the local are..you are easily be greeted with ‘good morning’ and As salamualaikum/ for muslims’..never seen this kind of hospitality by locals trekker..kudos to Kluang people..

In order to promote preservation of this unique mangrove habitat, Pulau Kukup is declared as a RAMSAR site on 31 January 2003. In year 1997, it is protected as a national park under the Johor State Park Corporation Enactment 1989. Kukup Island or Pulau Kukup is one of the biggest inhabited mangrove sites in the world. There are various species of wildlife there in the national park. They are monkeys, wild boar, mudskipper and much more. Do visit tanjung piai, another mangrove habitat in Johor, not far away from kukup island. Famous johor hotels such as the Grand Blue Waves Hotel Johor Bahru provide luxurious stay and services for visitors. It is situated in the heart of Johor Bahru, thus, it is not far away from the City Square Johor Bahru. City Square Johor Bahru is a shopping centre and office building that was opened in the year of 1995. It is the tallest building in Johor Bahru and attracts tourists especially Singaporeans.

Johor Premium Outlets, located in Malaysia, is a top shopping destination offering daily discounts of 25% to 65% on over 130 designer and name brands. Visitors can find renowned labels such as Timberland, Ralph Lauren, Nike, Coach, Versace, Salvatore Ferragamo, Burberry, and Victorias Secret at this outlet. The declining currency values in Malaysia make the deals even more attractive for those converting foreign currencies.
Had a wonderful shopping experience at Johor Premium Outlets! The discounts across brands were truly attractive and honestly made me buy more than I planned – in the best way possible. Beyond the great deals, I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful amenities: clean, air-conditioned restrooms (a rare and welcome comfort!) and EV charging stations right in the parking area. Being able to charge my car while shopping was incredibly convenient. JPO clearly goes the extra mile to make visitors comfortable. Highly recommended for a hassle-free, value-packed shopping trip! For those who are vegan, you may find a meal in the food court, marry brown mushroom veggie burger and one stall does provide vegetarian food as well.

Nice place to buy brand items and brisk walk here. Have nice food court with reasonable price (first time eat here, befere this only shopping). Nasi Kandar Melayu also here. Got place for children to play. Found out that there's a machine to charge your phone inside the food court, Rm3 for 1 hour if not mistaken. Also got a bank here, Maybank. Got surau, and plenty rest rooms around Jpo. Outdoor playground on first floor at the of the building. There some shop lot give discounts on selected items. Overall, feel like shops overseas, best place to window shop too 😎 Finally, this place got a lot of parking lot, you can choose where to park. This place got not free entering, bring your TNG cards 🫰🏻

A decent spot for outlet shopping, especially for designer and name brand items. With nearly 150 stores, there’s a mix of international brands like Coach, Burberry, Armani, and more. It’s especially worth visiting during special promotions or seasonal sales otherwise, prices can be a bit higher compared to other outlet malls overseas. The layout is open and easy to get around, and the overall environment is clean and well maintained. The mall has grown over the years and now offers a wider variety of stores compared to its early days. Food choices are a bit limited, but there’s enough to grab a quick bite. Parking is spacious and convenient, which adds to the ease of the visit. Overall, a good place for a relaxed day of shopping just best timed around major deals for the best value.

Ground floor are mostly high end brands. 2nd floor are more mid tier brands. There is a food court and a couple of restaurants that served good food eg Madam Kwan and Souper Tang. Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru is a massive retail complex located in the heart of the Skudai district. With over 500 outlets spread across seven floors and spanning 1.3 million square feet, it offers a wide range of department stores, boutiques, and casual eateries. The mall also features entertainment options such as an ice skating rink, a state-of-the-art cinema with 16 screens, an indoor archery course, and an indoor playground for kids.
Haven't been here for a a while. It's obviously a huge Mall with plenty of options for shopping and also food. There is Jaya Grocer for those looking for grocery. There is GSC inside of you are looking for cinema. There is also Parkson inside here. The food court options on the top floor might not be the best, but there are plenty of other options.

I would strongly recommend this mall for family staycation (at the airBnB above) with kids, especially 5 years and older. Many restaurants and several spas to choose from as well.

Visited Paradigm Mall JB, and it remains one of the largest and most complete malls in Johor. The mall is spacious, modern, and well-organised, making it easy to navigate. There’s a wide variety of retail shops, supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, and lifestyle brands, so you can easily spend a few hours here without running out of things to do. Entertainment options are plentiful too — from the cinema to family-friendly activities — making it a solid choice for both locals and visitors. Parking is generally convenient, though weekends can get busy. Whether you’re here to shop, eat, catch a movie, or simply walk around indoors, Paradigm Mall JB is a reliable, all-in-one stop.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the best malls in JB! Paradigm Mall is a well-thought-out space that truly caters to everyone — adults, kids, gamers, foodies, and even pet lovers. What I love most is how it offers such a wide variety of retail, dining, and entertainment options without trying to be an ultra-luxury mall. That means prices stay reasonable, making it super friendly for both locals and tourists. There’s a huge Tesco (Lotus’s), cinema, ice skating rink, arcade, pet-friendly cafés, and lots of fun zones for kids. The layout is spacious, clean, and easy to navigate, with plenty of parking and clear signage. Perfect for families, day trips from Singapore, or just a chill weekend hangout. Paradigm Mall JB really hits the sweet spot between variety, affordability, and comfort. Highly recommended for a full-day experience! 👍
