Growing up in Bombay- I frequented this place and it's got a special place in my heart- not to mention we share a birthday. This is an iconic structure that has not changed. Now visiting it as a tourist from overseas, it still captires the charm and innocence as I see families, children and young couples take selfies, chaiwallahs selling hot sweet tea and instant photographers offering the ultimate background of the Taj hotel or the gateway. Do partake of the boat ride- the diesel run bimoy ride will take out out a kilometre and back a hundred years. And the pigeons- every Victorian building attracts pigeons. Best tiem to visit is at sunrise when the city is still asleep.

The view of this grand hotel alongside the Gateway is picture-perfect, especially as the sun starts to set and the lights slowly illuminate the surroundings. Everything about my visit felt just right — the clean promenade, the vibrant energy of visitors, and the rich history all around. It’s a spot where you can pause, reflect, and truly appreciate the beauty and spirit of Mumbai. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city for the first time.

A Magical Day at Imagica, With a Word of Advice! Our family visited Adlabs Imagica on October 21st, and what a day it was! From the moment we walked in, the park felt vibrant. The kids (and adults!) loved the rides. We had a blast getting soaked on the water flume, taking a spin on the classic carousel, and getting competitive on the indoor shooting ride. As evening fell, the park completely transformed with beautiful lights, making the whole place feel truly magical, especially the area around the lake. However, we need to share a very important tip. Our visit coincided with the peak Diwali festival break, and we weren't the only ones with the idea! The park was packed with families, which created a fantastic, festive atmosphere but also meant one thing: a huge rush. This led to a massive number of people in the queues and, as you'd expect, very long waiting times for all the popular rides. We still managed to have a great time and make wonderful memories (the pictures prove it!), but the waiting definitely took up a big part of our day. So, here is our number one piece of advice for anyone planning to visit Imagica during a busy period like Diwali, a long weekend, or any school holiday: It is highly advised to book the Express tickets. It might cost extra, but it will save you hours of standing in line and let you enjoy far more of the amazing attractions the park has to offer. Imagica is located at khopoli (approx 2 hours drive from Pune). It has a Theme park and a water park . One day is sufficient to do either of the two. In case one plans to do both; 2 full days are required. The rides are amazing and fun with family/ friends. Tickets can be booked online / offline. There are eateries inside the park. Amada serving amazing pizzas. Red bonnet serving fab burgers. Thali, buffet and jain food is also available. Locker facility available inside the park for your belongings. For water park dry fit attire is necessary.One can change once they r done with the rides. After 6 pm when the rides are closed there is a carnival in the premises. Also the park looks beautiful after sunset because of the lighting and fountains.

A Magical Day at Imagica, With a Word of Advice! Our family visited Adlabs Imagica on October 21st, and what a day it was! From the moment we walked in, the park felt vibrant. The kids (and adults!) loved the rides. We had a blast getting soaked on the water flume, taking a spin on the classic carousel, and getting competitive on the indoor shooting ride. As evening fell, the park completely transformed with beautiful lights, making the whole place feel truly magical, especially the area around the lake. However, we need to share a very important tip. Our visit coincided with the peak Diwali festival break, and we weren't the only ones with the idea! The park was packed with families, which created a fantastic, festive atmosphere but also meant one thing: a huge rush. This led to a massive number of people in the queues and, as you'd expect, very long waiting times for all the popular rides. We still managed to have a great time and make wonderful memories (the pictures prove it!), but the waiting definitely took up a big part of our day. So, here is our number one piece of advice for anyone planning to visit Imagica during a busy period like Diwali, a long weekend, or any school holiday: It is highly advised to book the Express tickets. It might cost extra, but it will save you hours of standing in line and let you enjoy far more of the amazing attractions the park has to offer. Tiger Point in Lonavala is a calm and peaceful spot, perfect for spending some relaxing time. The view is truly enjoyable, especially when it’s cloudy or raining. On a sunny day, it might feel a bit uncomfortable due to the heat and sweat, but otherwise it’s a great experience. There is ample parking space available, and plenty of local shops around offering tea, coffee, maggi, fruits, and other snacks. A nice place to stop by if you’re visiting Lonavala.

Absolutely ridiculous experience. You have to climb all the way up from Lonavla city just to see this view. The view is lovely but not as worth it to come. This place must be crowded in the monsoons due to waterfalls but I think it would not be great to visit in monsoons as well. I did not get why this is called as the lions point. Seriously! The worst part is that the staff took ₹50/- for parking. We just stayed for around 5 min but still. They should keep a time limit of the parking of vehicles. However, apart from these, there isn’t much that makes it stand out. When I visited, most of the rides were closed due to rain, which was a bit disappointing and made the visit less enjoyable. This park can be considered for a one-time visit, especially if you are going with kids just for their time-pass. Children may enjoy the small rides and open space. But if you are looking for mental peace, relaxation, or a unique experience, you may not find it here. The overall maintenance and attractions could definitely be improved to make the park more appealing.

We visited this park in October end for the first time and instantly loved it. It is perfect for kids with different amusement rides and a toy train ride. Only 1 ride has an age limit of 16 years upwards, the toy train is open to all ages and the others are between 4 and 16 only. The park also has a Fountain Light show in the late evening, which you can enjoy from an amphitheater. The area is huge and there is enough for kids to enjoy. The park has miniatures of the Wonders of the World spread across the park.

Visited Wonders Park last weekend with my family and overall, it was a fun and relaxing outing! The highlight is definitely the replicas of the Seven Wonders of the World—really well-made and great for photos. The park is huge, green, and surprisingly well maintained for the ticket price. toy train ride gives a nice tour of the park. There are other rides too like bumper cars and a small Ferris wheel—good for kids but not high-thrill. There’s a jogging track, big chess board, and plenty of space to walk around or just sit and enjoy. The evening musical fountain show was a nice bonus! Simple but charming. One small downside: it gets crowded after 5 PM and the food stalls were a bit slow. So I'd recommend visiting in the early evening on a weekday if you want a peaceful time. The facilities were clean, and the staff were quite helpful in guiding people to their seats. The only area that could improve is the food queue management during breaks, but overall, it was a memorable day watching top-quality cricket in such a fantastic venue.

Also, they don’t allow bags, coins in pockets, or even flag sticks — not even cardboard or paper ones — so plan accordingly. If you get seats in F or G Block, there’s a good chance you’ll appear on live TV during the match!

The stadium is located in Nerul. Easily accessible by road as next to puna highway. Nearest to Sanpada or nerul station. Have nice seating areas 360 view and airy. It is one of the best amusement park of India. The place contains the ride for children as well as for adults. One can spend a whole day here and have fun. The entry price is also fine but it doesn’t include all the rides, for some rides you will be charged at their respective counters. They have a theatre as well in the park. Their are two sections of the park one is the amusement and the other one is water. Regarding the price for the food it’s way too high and the outside food is not allowed which at last will help in increasing your budget. The place is good for friends family and children.

This is the excellent amazing place to enjoy with family. Rights in this park are amazing. I have not ever enjoy a rather than Essel World. There are 360 roller coaster, shot and drop, top spin and thunder rides are the best thrilling rides all over the India I will highly recommend if you want to spend some time for fun and relaxing with family. Water kingdom is situated near Gorai beach near Borivali. it’s really an amazing Water Park with a Fantastic Wave Pool! Water Kingdom is a fantastic spot to have fun with family and friends! It's a massive water park with a variety of thrilling rides and activities for all ages. The park is large, well-kept, and features a variety of slides and water sports. Especially lazy pool. Whether you're searching for thrill rides or a pleasant day out. Water Kingdom is a must-see! It has parking facilities at a cost of Rs 50 for the entire day. There is a shuttle service from parking to the Water Kingdom, which costs 1750rs per ticket. There are several food courts that are slightly more expensive, but the cuisine is of good quality. You also have kebab and beer counters. You can also plan Pagoda simply 5min drive likewise Gorai beach again 5min drive. Essel world is just beside water kingdom

All the water slides were functional and well-maintained, which added to the fun. If you're driving, note that parking is available about 10 minutes away from the park and costs ₹150 for a four-wheeler. However, there's a convenient free shuttle bus service from the parking area to the entrance. Alternatively, if you're coming from Borivali, you can take the dedicated Water Kingdom ferry boats. For those riding two-wheelers, you can use the Gorai ferry service, which accommodates bikes. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience, perfect for a relaxed family outing without the weekend rush.

There is some confusion, and it feels like they only focus on collecting money rather than providing proper service. No proper receipt is given, which does not feel professional. Extra Gram Panchayat Toll – ₹50 You must pay an additional toll before entering the zone. Again, the road is not in good condition despite charging the toll. Road Quality The road leading to the caves is not well maintained, which can make the drive a bit uncomfortable. Karla Caves, about 11 km from Lonavala, are ancient Buddhist rock-cut caves dating back to the 2nd century BCE. The highlight is the Grand Chaitya Hall, one of India’s largest and best-preserved prayer halls, with a massive stupa, wooden ribbed ceiling, and beautifully carved pillars. Next to the caves stands the Ekvira Devi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ekvira. The temple remains active and attracts many devotees, especially during Navratri. Perched on a hill with scenic views, the site blends ancient Buddhist heritage and Temple.

The climb up takes a bit of effort, but once you reach, it’s calm, breezy, and totally worth it. There’s a quiet energy inside the caves that makes you want to just sit and take it all in. It’s a great break from city noise simple, raw, and full of history. Go early, wear comfy shoes, and don’t forget water.👍🏼

The caves were really nice! We visited the first floor, which was great. The area on the right-hand side was restricted due to heavy leakage. The main attraction, located just behind the Ekvira Temple, is peaceful and definitely worth a visit. Entry fees 25 for indians.

The caves are of Buddhist monastery. There’s also a temple of Ekvira Ai temple which is popular among the local public. Hence the place remains very crowded. The Chaitya graha is the only place which has marvellous rock cut arts. Outside this the Ashoka pillar gives you a clue of the age of the caves. Due to too much of crowd place is not well kept. It’s also slowly crumbling

Visited: November 2024 I'm an explorer who loves to visit historical and archaeological places, and Kanheri Caves was a real treat! Took a train to Borivali and then a shared auto for ₹25 to reach Sanjay Gandhi National Park. From there, I took the ₹20 shuttle bus that takes you straight to the caves. It’s amazing how such a peaceful and serene spot exists in the middle of Mumbai! The caves are well-maintained, and the history here is incredible. I was astonished by the big standing Buddha statue—it’s both impressive and calming. The ancient water management system carved into the stone is fascinating—stone channels and cisterns designed to collect and guide rainwater. It’s amazing how advanced the architecture was for its time. The ancient monk cells were another highlight—small, carved-out rooms where monks once lived and meditated. Walking through them, you really feel the quiet, spiritual atmosphere of the place. It’s like stepping back into a different time. I spent about 3 hours exploring every cave—be prepared for a lot of walking and stairs. Carry plenty of water, wear comfortable shoes, and take your time to appreciate the surroundings. There are plenty of shaded spots to rest, which definitely helps. A big thanks to the security guards—one of them saved me from an aggressive monkey and handed me his stick for protection. Beware of monkeys if you’re carrying food—they’re quick! Tip: Go early to avoid the heat, keep your food sealed, and enjoy the peaceful vibe of this historical escape. It’s definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful place to visit. From entrance you have to take government bus which is chargeable to reach the cave. A full day is required to understand each and every cave in detail. The security guards help us voluntarily in explaining the sculptures. Restroom and refreshment is available at the location.

There are buggy's also which take u to safari ticket counter not to kanheri so make your decision wisely.Ticket- ₹50 per person one way. And the visiting ticket to kanheri cave-₹25 /person. Total 109 caves worth seeing marvellous views especially in monsoon season. Then comes Lion safari- 2 km from main entrance,Ticket -₹ 136 per person. Bus will take you around for safari in which you will see lions,lioness,tigers and yes with full precautions. Museums can also be your choice but the adventure doing things I have already mentioned. To my view go to kanheri caves first as it is 7km away from main entrance and then enjoy the other things. I visited early in the morning, and the air was fresh and cool. Walking through the forest trails with birds chirping all around was such a refreshing experience. I also rented a cycle and explored the park a bit deeper — totally worth it if you enjoy riding through nature. One of the highlights for me was the Kanheri Caves. Climbing up to the caves, with all the ancient carvings and the view of the forest from the top, felt like stepping into history. It’s both peaceful and awe-inspiring. What I love most about the park is how it balances natural beauty with easy access. Whether you're into trekking, cycling, photography, or just sitting quietly among trees, this place has something for everyone. I left feeling lighter, calmer, and a little more connected to nature. Highly recommend spending a few hours here — especially if you live in Mumbai and just need to breathe.

It's nice but NOT a must place. There is a round trip trail which will be totaled around 14km. The highlight will be the caves. I have rented a bicycle at the entrance of the park- and I really recommend the bicycle option. I think the park opens around 8 and also the bicycle rental opens at 8am. You will need to deposit about 300rupi and leave an ID. Then the fee will be 80rupi for 2h. The road is mostly flat. You will need to park the bicycle and to walk about 1km to get to the cave site. There are many toilets around and small stands that sell drinks and fruits. What to bring: A lot of water Money ID (for bicycle) Cap and sports clothing (be ready to sweat) Cost The day I came it was a public holiday so entry was free. It's the heart of Mumbai City. Do visit this place if you are someone who loves nature. Completely green and peaceful. Come here with your friends and family. Enjoy walking, running, cycling with your closed ones. The park opens at 8am in the morning. So you can plan accordingly. This place opens at 5.30am in the morning for pass holders. Pass holders are people who can enter the park from 5.30am to 7am only for walks. Mostly people who stay nearby use the passes as they can use it for morning walks.

Charlotte Lake & Lord’s View Point are next to each other. It’s known for the pretty sunsets, there are small stores close by that sell snacks and tea. It’s a small hike for 15min from the main path. It is super safe both at day and night to walk through the forest. I would recommend this place if you’re at Matheran for visit.

We sat there, soaked in the beauty of the place and relishing moments of silence. This place is known as a photographer's paradise in Matheran because it offers panoramic views of mountains, peaks, valleys, lake and waterfalls. In most of the travel portals, blogs and magazines, Matheran has been represented by using Louisa Point's pictures. During the peak season, photo points are a little crowded and sometimes you need to be patient for your view to be ‘people free’, but all your waiting time is worth those beautiful, dreamy and wallpaper pictures. Some people also stay at Louisa Point to watch the sunset.

Very beautiful view point in Matheran. Huge open space for you to sit, relax, spend some time with yourself or family/ friends, absorb the atmosphere (take tons of pictures if you wish to!). On one side you have the beautiful landscape of hills and plateau and on the other side you have a beautiful waterfall! There’s a long fence on the right, however there is a point where the fence is broken and one can just hop over and walk to the edge of the ledge for an adrenaline rush (although not advisable)!

The mall is big and has a great variety of brands, making it a nice place to visit and have fun. However, cleanliness is a major issue—cockroaches can be seen everywhere, even in the food court. There are no proper dustbins for waste disposal, and the washrooms are extremely dirty. No hand wash was provided, the flush wasn’t working, and the smell was unbearable. While the shopping experience is good, the management seriously needs to improve hygiene and maintenance.

Monsoon beauty in Western Ghat, particularly in Malshej, is unbeatable. Clouds, fog, rain, and waterfalls, everything is endlessly. The Govt of Maharashtra provides good parking spaces and beautify water sources and waterfall areas so visitors can enjoy maximum. Hot Maggi, tea, and corn will add cherry on the ice.

This place should be on must visit list in monsoon if you are exploring western ghats. Going here is easy, as for most of the part road conditions are very good. You can come by car, 2 wheeler etc. In ghat section roads are narrow so expect some traffic during monsoon season. Also there is possibility of land slide etc. There are multiple waterfall points in the ghat area where government has build staircase , protective structures to access it easily. Make sure while you park your vehicle, you are not blocking on going traffic. I have seen people doing it. Be a responsible citizen. Same thing go for plastic and other garbage. In monsoon and winter expect lot of foggy weather which limits visibility so be careful. Most of the people I see go till ghat and return if they are coming from pune-nashik highway. I would highly recommend to go down till ghat ends, you will see amazing views.

What a place friends, it is heaven, I went there recently and enjoyed it a lot, I will say one thing that don't go from the check post before the ghat, go through the village, it is a great village, it is off-road but it is a lot of fun, it is 5km It falls far away it was a lot of fun

But this place is very dangerous and thrilling too, it have accident prone area and one must be cautious world travelling at this place. In rainy season its completely covered in dense fog. Also there lots of waterfalls nearby this area and somewhere in mid of Highway waterfalls directly from the mountains on road.

I frequently stopped at different spots just to soak in the breathtaking scenery. At one spot, something magical happened—within just a few minutes, the thick fog suddenly cleared and revealing a fantastic view🏞. Moments like these make the journey truly unforgettable. The Roopmati Pavilion is a compact yet beautiful architectural marvel that offers spectacular panoramic views and a wonderful, cold breeze, making the sight of the Nimar Valley the clear highlight. However, while the structure is excellent, the small site can be explored in just 1 to 1.5 hours and the overall visitor experience is let down by poor amenities. Specifically, the lack of clear signs to explain the smaller historical areas, along with a noticeable absence of good drinking water and clean restroom facilities, detracts significantly from the visit. Despite these flaws, the breathtaking vista secures it a respectable 3.5/5 rating.

Nice, small fortress, with a nice early morning view. You can ask for a local guide for the history of the place. Access to the top is blocked, but the view from the accessible areas is also good. It is important to know the story of Baaz Bahadur and Roopmati to appreciate the place.

We visited Roopmati Mahal in Mandu during the last week of September in 2025. While the fort is old and there is nothing much to see there but the views of Vindhya ranges and nearby areas are mesmerizing. It was green all around with scenic beauty. We really enjoyed the fort. 30-45 minutes are good enough for the fort visit. Need to walk 300-400 mtr on an altitude but worth visiting.

Amazing place for a short picnic. Few food stalls available but beware of monkeys. Amazing view points. Water flow was high in October 2025. I reached Mhow Railway and took a to and fro auto for 500 Rs. Do bargain. However if you have own vehicle its much easier.

It is a very picturesque spot, especially in monsoon when the water gushes down the 200-foot deep gorge. The view is very scenic when the sun sets. A good place for a nice trekking or camping activity also. People should rake efforts to keep the area clean. Beware of monkeys as they can be troublesome sometimes. Adequate parking space is available. It is also a historical spot to commemorate the heroics of Tantya Bheel against the British.
