I went because my wife is really into old things but as a neutral I found the place fascinating with information boards all around the site telling you what each rock was and what it was for. The tickets are well priced for what's included and will take up 3 hours or more of your day. There's also plenty of shaded areas as it does get hot in the sun.

Visited during the weekday; lots of buses with tourists from cruises. I recommend coming after 12pm as the groups left and also as it gets hotter outside you get a cool room to walk. The displays are typically well presented and annotated with brief useful descriptions.

Great collection, wonderfully displayed, excellent facilities. One can only begin to imagine the sheer volume of wealth, artifacts and other objects of artistic and material value that used to be here, the penultimate location of reverence in all the ancient Greek world. All the way through the Archaic, the Classical and the Hellenistic Period, which add up to more than half a millenia, the Hellenes accumulated offerings to Zeus, Hera and many other Gods in this holiest of locations. Even after eons of plundering, this site has offered us all these magnificent exhibits. Enjoy them!

Definitely worth a visit. We stayed at villa kriton so if you are still looking for a place I can recommend that. Free if you are under 25 and EU member. We didn’t buy the tickets before hand and just bought them at the museum. We recommend going a little later 5pm was perfect for us almost now people at the sight and the temperature was fine.

One of the most historically significant places in the world. If your into mythology or the Olympics or maybe just a history buff this is the place for you. Together with the site of old Olympia this stop is simply amazing. Much more still exists than I ever imagined after almost 3000 years. Highly recommended.

Part of archaeological site of olympia beautiful place. Shame a lot have been looted years ago. Would have been great if there was an audio devices to explain as its very difficult to get near some and read the information when someone parked in front of the object. I found more QR codes would have been useful to read it latter. Worth visit even if a lot of objects have been looted over the years of excavations. French, German archaeologist.

Learned a great amount of history about the origin of the Olympics. Had a tour guide and highly recommend using one or all you will be seeing are a bunch of ruins. The stories behind the ruins are needed. Also, was treated to a Greek lunch and entertaing dancing.

It’s a very beautiful modern building. The moment you enter you can tell that the exhibition is well organised. It’s a lot to look at but occasionally there are paragraphs on the wall about the time the artefacts are from. The translations are in Greek, English and German. It’s very educational and if you‘re visiting the archeological site the museum is a must! For example: The Nike statue. It stood in front of the Zeus temple and is now a part of the museum. It definitely is worth the experience and even if you‘re not a fan of history there’s just generally a lot to look at and it’s quite beautiful. I would recommend going at around 11 am because later in the day there‘ll be more visitors but I couldn’t complain.

Saint Andrew Church in Patras is definitely impressive in size—it’s the biggest church in Greece. The building looks grand from the outside, and the mosaics inside are nice. That said, it doesn’t feel particularly special or memorable, especially compared to some of the older, more historic churches in Greece. Still worth a quick visit if you’re in the area, but don’t expect to be blown away.

This is one of the most impressive cathedrals in the world. It is being build for over a century. Located next to the old St Andrews Church and the sacred cave where Saint Andrews use to live. The place of the church is the place of his martyrdom where the Romans crucified him on a saltire (X-shaped cross). The cathedral is home to the remains of the saint (see photo with the silver case in the shape of the church) and the remains of the cross (in the saltire casing). Visiting the place after 25 years was a pilgrimage.

Spectacular church where everyone is welcome to venerate the holy relics of Jesus Christ's first called disciple, who was crucified here. One of Saint Spyridon's shoes can also be found here (in the old church).

We got dropped off there by one of the tour boats and it immediately felt very bad. This is the beach the turtles go to to lay their eggs. The island was overcrowded, no place to explore or lay your towel. They should completely close it off to people so that the turtles have one place they can go in peace without massive amounts of people chasing them.

Stunning but small beach with nice views and ability to see the turtle nesting sites. Cannot touch for obvious reasons. Amazing afternoon turtle spotting with the family. Beautiful end to our Zakynthos holiday.

Get a boat taxi from Agios Sostis port and you ll have a short trip to Caves and Marathonisi beach. No beach umbrellas allowed. There are also small cantinas with sandwiches and drinks on the island. No reservation is needed.

You can buy a taxi boat for +€10pp they will drop you on the island and pick you up whenever you want to go back. I've seen some turtles in the water, and didn't visit the actual island as it wasn't part of our trip.

It’s a nice place, beautiful blue and clear water, recommended to visit. Lots of fish but no turtle. The beach isn’t big and usually lots of people. No toilet option just let you know. Usually 2-3 boats converted to shop and you can buy drink ,burgers , ice creams ect basic but useful, also the boats is the only option to put your bin out. If you go to Zakinthos you should visit the island

They call it Turtle island bc there are no constructions by humen(luckily!) No light, No Noise, No human pollution & No enemy, so the best place for turtles to lay eggs. Nice beach but not something special! If you’re lucky you can spot some turtles. But we saw them at the laganas beach! So no need to disturb the nature for tanning on a beach. You could tan in every other beach. Also because tourists don’t pay attention and throw plastic and rubbish on the bech and in the sea! 😤😣🤦🏻‍♀️

Very clean hotel. Receptionist very helpful. Staff lovely in general. Excellent warm pool and another smaller one for kids although too deep really. Bar at the pool was great and there's another by the beach,again Excellent. Rooms are not overly sized but fine really and modern with a decent sized bathroom and balcony. Bad points : We were greeted on arrival with the climate charge which is now €5 instead of €3 per night. Then we were asked if we wanted air-conditioning on which was another €8 per night. As if that wasn't enough there's another €3 per night if you want the use of the safe !! So a ten night holiday had an extra charge of €160. Want to pay even more ? The parasols and sunbeds in the grounds of the hotel look lovely don't they? If you want to use them there's another €15 charge per day making a total of €310 added to your holiday. When I booked this hotel I assumed I booked a room and hotel with the use of what's in it! The sunbeds on the beach are €20 but to charge for them is acceptable and normal. Such a shame they feel they need to charge like that as the hotel is nice in a great location.

Great hotel!! I would rate it 4 stars instead of 3, breakfast is very extended, really nice staff. Sofia at the reception is a lovely warm welcoming person. The hotel is next to the beach which is sand beach so great. Really nice vibe, no music at the pool which we liked and no entertainment so a nice quiet hotel. Everything super clean! Only bed matrasses could be better, they were really hard.

Brilliant hotel right on the beach. Breakfast was a good spread. Pools are great, beach bar is good. Only thing that one needs to be aware of is that the airport is right behind the hotel over the road, so all day and up to about 10pm you have landing and taking off planes coming over super low.

I stayed at this hotel for just one night, and overall, it was a decent experience. One of the biggest advantages was its great location, especially for travelers — it’s very close to the airport, which made getting there super convenient. While you can hear the sound of planes taking off, I found it surprisingly non-disruptive and easy to tune out. However, the room was quite small, which could be uncomfortable for longer stays or if you’re traveling with a lot of luggage. For a short stay like mine, though, it was manageable and served its purpose well. If you’re looking for a place near the airport for a quick overnight stop, this hotel is a convenient and acceptable choice.

Staff is nice, breakfast is good and very close to one of the nicest beaches in Zakynthos, refresh every day. I recommend booking here!

Whilst we were holidaying in Kalamaki. We used this as a base for visiting the beach. Great food, great value, fantastic location, just an all round friendly place.

It would be nice place with easy access to the water but it’s full of drunk young polish and brits. There is tons of glass and trash that is not being cleaned. I would rather go to kalamaki

A lovely, long sandy beach lined with plenty of bars and restaurants along the way,perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. The water was shallow, clear, and great for swimming or just cooling off. We really enjoyed our trip here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful spot with good amenities nearby.

Busy yet lovely sandy beach. The sea is a few meters from your sunbed (should you wish to rent one... 10 for 2 and umbrella) and as smooth as a pond. The beach bars are reasonably priced for a snack. A view to enjoy and if you like planes, a good spot yo see them come in to land!!

We really enjoyed this beach overall. Water was clean and very shallow for kids to play. Beach was fairly clean from what we saw with many Restaurants and Beach Bars near by as well as some water activities for rent as well. We’d definitely return here again some day.

Laganas Beach is a wide sandy beach with shallow and clear waters, perfect for swimming and relaxing. The area is lively, with many bars, restaurants, and water sports options, so there is always something to do. It can get crowded, especially during peak season, but the atmosphere is fun and vibrant. A great spot if you enjoy long walks by the sea, good food nearby, and a mix of relaxation and entertainment.

The photos are taken after a storm. The beach is covered with sand and a few clams. You don't need special shoes for going into the sea as the first meters are with sand and clams, but after that it's only sand. There are multiple restaurant/beach clubs which offer sunbeds for 10 euro/person, drinks not included.

The beach is beautiful with crystal blue waters and white sand, but it's totally overrated. Also, there are minimum 5 boats in the bay at every time. Since 2024, there are regulations from the Greek Government to not let anyone go on the beach or swim nearby because of falling cliffs (and you can see rocks that fell on the beach on the sides). You can only stay on the boat as they will turn for 15 minutes in the bay, then go to another spot if they have swimming spots included.

Always wanted to see this since I was a kid. Finally nice to have ticked it off. Shipwreck is cool but the amount of tourists is insane. Do prepare yourself for that. Best to hire your own boat for the trip as it will be more enjoyable. I would do that next time.

Lovely viewpoint, very small area open to be able to take a picture. The queue for the viewpoint platform took about 40 mins. They are doing work in the area so may be better next year. Well worth the wait though, probably best to see from a boat tour.

Iconic place, a must see both from the sea and the viewpoint. Closed to public from 2023 due to limestone landslide, no access to it by car, the viewpoint gets a bit busy, it’s a 10 min walk to the furthest point. Views are incredible. Mind the hike back up, it’s a paved but quite steep, can get kinda hard in the heat. Mind the shadow/sun on the beach for good pics. Water photos taken at 11:20am early June. Viewpoint photos taken 2:30pm. There’s also a military base nearby & you can see F16 flying around super low to the water - spectacular sight

This famous cove can only be reached by boat, and you cannot go ashore because of the shipwreck remains on the beach. Still, the view of the dramatic cliffs and turquoise water is absolutely breathtaking, and swimming in the crystal-clear sea right from the boat is an unforgettable experience. It is definitely a tourist hotspot and can get very crowded, as it’s one of the most iconic places in Zakynthos. Despite that, the scenery is so unique that it’s worth seeing at least once. Floating in the water with the shipwreck and cliffs in the background is something you won’t easily forget. A good tip is to visit during the week rather than weekends, as it tends to be slightly less busy. There are no facilities here, so come prepared — but that’s part of the adventure. Overall, a must-see location in Zakynthos for the incredible views and experience in the water.

It's definitely a must-see, but it's impossible to reach by land. The stunning color of the sea and the ship create a wonderful blend. However, going to the beach and swimming in this area is dangerous and forbidden because rocks can fall from the mountains. But I definitely recommend visiting by boat to see the scenery.

Clean and quiet beach. Sand! Not rocks. Chairs with umbrellas to let. Not much parking. The water is beautiful.

This is for the south nudist section of Scala around the large rocks. Mid Sept and and the beach was great. Late Sept 2025 and the beach was getting pretty well destroyed by the storm. Was small pebbles and loads of fish for snorkelling. Also easy to swim around to Spithi and Λουτράκι Παραλία FKK the next beach along which are both nudist. Spithi is not good but Λουτράκι Παραλία FKK is huge and great. Those are quite difficult to get to direct as the car parking is severely limited.

Long beach clear water stones and sand mostly stones. You'll need water shoes as its very stoney. But it's a beautiful beach we just laid our towel on stones and sat Dippin feet. Skala is a long beach so plenty of space you can hire deck chairs or sunbeds and umbrella if you wish. You can sit close to or far away from water sports the 1 place on beach for watersports is amazing and super friendly. No pressure from them either if u do sit close by.

Lovely beach, would recommend sea shoes as it stoney!! But once tour in its ok, it's also a bit of a drop off, 6 feet in and your chest deep. But still lovely

Beautiful beach with a relaxed vibe — I stayed at the 9 Musses Hotel beach, where a set (2 sunbeds and a large umbrella) goes for €12. The water was refreshing but not too cold, and while water shoes aren’t a must, they could come in handy since the beach is a mix of small rocks and sand. The beach bar menu had all the classics you’d expect, and I’d personally recommend the Margarita pizza — simple and tasty. Prices were very reasonable. It’s a great spot to spend the day soaking up the sun, and if you feel like grabbing dinner or going for a nice stroll, the charming town of Skala is just above the beach, offering a lovely walking area and plenty of restaurants to explore.

Very very big and nice beach which honestly surprised me. Great water, sand is mixed (probably imported). Nearby hillside with parking is gorgeous with a really beautiful small city. Road from Argostoli to here is nicer and easier to drive then going to north or east side of island.

A breathtaking place. The initial construct is an architectural marvel built within a spectacular natural setting. Believer or not, you will enjoy this place. The magnificent natural environment on the route adds to the experience. The narrow roads require caution, especially to inexperienced drivers.

It s always a treat to visit this monastery and chapel. Everything is so meticulous. There was a bit of rain so took umbrellas to walk the 300 meters from the parking lot. It was quiet which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the church. Enjoyed the bread samples and the Turkish Delight which they offer. This is the third time web have visited.

The Monastery of Proussos was named from the Icon of Panagia Prousiotissa from Proussa in Minor Asia. It is a historic building that has kept expanding due to donations. The location is impressive and it can get very busy as buses arrive from all over the world to visit this. We loved the old clock and the oldest part of the monastery. One star less as it looked more like a business modern monastery that does not fit with the older part of the church. Still architectonically it is beautiful and you should definitely visit it.

Beautiful monastry with a very old and small church with the ancient icon of The Holy Mother. A bit crowdy and hard to reach but very rewarding if you do the effort to come there.

Apart from the monastery and the intriguing history of its namesake, Panaghia Prousiotissa (an icon of the Virgin Mary that originated in Proussa, Asia Minor), the surrounding area is gorgeous. Below the curvy road that leads to the monastery and cut into the mountainside, lies a river with turquoise waters that can be viewed throughout the drive. There are also interesting stops along the way -- like the "Virgin's footsteps." The monastery is just 35 kilometers from Karpenissi, a winter haven for snow skiing, as well as all-season hiking and exploring. Overall a must-do excursion.

Very beautiful monastery in a special location. It's amazing the feeling you get when you get there and face it. We enjoyed the view, we learned the history of the monastery from a monk who wanted to explain it to us. Information: Better not to bother the monks unless they show you they are available. Some are there to get away from other people and get closer to god through prayer.

Very nice beach. If you’re lucky, you can spot plenty of fish. However, there are also quite a lot of wasps—more than you usually see on other beaches in Kefalonia. We had brought some fruit with us, but we couldn’t eat it because the wasps started gathering. I even got stung by one

I really enjoyed this place! The view is beautiful, the drink service is great, and the beach is perfect even for non-swimmers since the water isn’t steep. Many people mention the wasps, but they’re just part of nature — you get used to them after a while. The sunbeds are free as long as you order from Acron Bar. The staff never pressured us about how much to order, which made the experience even more relaxing. We simply chose the sunbeds we liked, ordered a few beers and cocktails, and enjoyed that perfect vacation feeling: sitting back with a book while someone brings you your favorite drinks. Prices seemed reasonable to us, though “high” and “low” can mean different things to different people, so it’s best to check the menu first. If the sea is calm, you’ll see plenty of fish gathering around you — they don’t bite or bother you, it’s just fun to watch them swim by. Another thing I loved is that it’s a stone beach rather than sand. You stay clean, with no sand sticking to your feet or ending up in the car or hotel room. Swimming shoes can make walking more comfortable, but they’re not absolutely necessary if you don’t mind going barefoot. All in all, it’s a lovely spot to relax, swim, and enjoy drinks by the sea. Highly recommend!

Antisamos Beach is often promoted as one of the top ten beaches in the world. While it is undoubtedly beautiful, I personally wouldn’t place it among the world’s absolute best. It’s certainly worth a visit, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression strong enough to make me want to return. The beach features white pebbles, which give the water a striking turquoise-blue color, especially near the shore. However, just a few meters after entering the water, it drops off into deep sea quite abruptly, so most people stay and swim within the first 10 meters of the shoreline. Along the beach, there are several restaurants that advertise “free sunbeds and free parking.” This, however, comes with fine print — the sunbeds are only “free” if you spend a minimum of €30–€45, depending on the establishment. It’s important to ask for the exact conditions upfront to avoid surprises. There is also a section of the beach with paid sunbeds that cost €15–€20 per set, without any consumption required. And finally, there’s a public area where you can bring your own umbrella and towel, but keep in mind that the pebbles here are quite large and rough, which makes it less comfortable for lying down without proper padding. For those who enjoy watersports, the far end of the beach offers a variety of guided water sports activities, which adds some excitement to the overall experience. All in all, Antisamos Beach is lovely to see and worth visiting once, especially for the vivid water color and mountain backdrop. But with the crowds, pricing conditions, and lack of comfort in the public section, it doesn’t quite live up to the global hype in my view. At the end Of this review I must underline my nightmare of this beach- wasps, there are thousands of them and they are very annoying.

Very good value, great parking, super beach, clear calm water, free sun beds and great service. Two of us - 3 big beers, fanta and a small meal for 2 all for €45. Definitely the best beach we visited in the island.

The beach was amazing - the water crystal clear and sunbeds and changing facilities abound. There’s a restaurant that has a variety of foods and desserts and they bring it right to your sunbed. The road to get there is a spiral wind but definetly worth it. We spent a memorable day there and didn’t want to leave.

Amazing beach! Clear turquoise water, pebbles on the beach itself, breathtaking views both from the way to the beach and the water itself. Prices for bed rental were standard (15 euro for 2 beds and an umbrella). The cocktails at the beach bar were nice (if a bit pricey).

The colors of the water are not exactly like in the pictures you see on the internet... We went at 10 a.m. and it wasn’t too crowded. The boat ride takes only 3 minutes, and during that time, because of the large number of people on the boat, you don’t really have the chance to take photos or properly capture the moment. The price is €10 for adults and €5 for children.

Melissani Cave is undeniably a natural wonder and well worth a visit, earning a solid four stars from me. The cave is absolutely stunning, especially when the sun's rays penetrate the open roof, illuminating the incredibly clear, turquoise waters with a surreal, glowing effect. It's truly mesmerizing to glide across the water in the small boats, and our guide did a good job explaining the cave's history, including how it's named after the nymph Melissani, who, according to myth, drowned herself here out of unrequited love for Pan. The story adds a layer of mystical allure to an already magical place. However, while the beauty is undeniable, the experience itself is quite brief. The boat ride around the cave lasts only about five to ten minutes, which, for the price of admission, feels a bit short. This brings me to my main caveat: it absolutely does not worth waiting for hours in a queue to experience this. We saw incredibly long lines, and for a five-minute ride, that kind of wait would severely diminish the enjoyment. My advice is to try and visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid peak times. If you can get in with a reasonable wait, Melissani Cave is a uniquely beautiful place to witness nature's artistry. Just manage your expectations regarding the duration of the visit and you'll be captivated.

Melissani Lake is one of the most magical places in Kefalonia, a cave with an underground lake where the crystal-clear waters glow in shades of blue and green as sunlight pours through the open roof. The boat ride is short but very charming, and the rowers often sing during the journey, which creates a special atmosphere. At the end, however, they do expect tips and may offer to take photos for the same reason—something to keep in mind. To reach the boats, you need to go down about 30 steps and then walk roughly 200 meters through a descending tunnel inside the cave. It’s very important to arrive early, because when several cruise ships are in port, the lines can get very long and the wait may be close to an hour before entering. I recommend bringing water and an umbrella, since the queue is often under the sun and the heat can be strong. Despite the wait, the experience is absolutely worth it, especially around midday when the sunlight makes the water shine at its best.

One of a kind experience! We arrived and queued for about 20-30 mins from beginning to being in the boat. Tickets 10 euro each. This is at 11am, the whole thing lasted ab 10 mins, you can leave a tip if you want to the boat guy, ours was really fun- took a picture of every one of us on the boat separately, there were about 3-4 more boats. Unfortunately the view from top was closed.

Don’t be discouraged by a long line at the ticket office—multiple boats operate simultaneously, so the wait goes by quickly. This stop offers a serene break from the beach, making it a highly recommended experience!

Beautiful place with history. But you queue for 10-30 minutes, walk down a set of steps and a ramp, hop into a boat, have a 10 min tour and then you are done. It’s €10 per person and is worth seeing but do not plan for it to be a half day out as it’s only a short stop. Parking is free and toilets in the car park

Beautiful beach, was not that crowded. The access is easy by car or motorcycle and the parking fee was 2€. The water was warm and waves not that big, so you could also swim safely.

My favorite beach on the whole island. Parking is 10 euro but is near the beach. The water is turquoise. It’s a big beach and even with a lot of people is not so full. Food available near the parking lot. You can see a lot of small beautiful fishes if you like diving. I was there in the end of September.

Mesmerizing! The parking is 10 euro, there is a place to eat, plenty of spots to park your car. We went off season and the beach was not overcrowded. The water was cristal clear. The beach itself was also very clean.

Stunning beach with the most blue water I have seen anywhere in the world! Pay for parking in the lot about 10 euros or free parking just outside of the area. The drive was windy and narrow but incredibly cool! Don’t go too fast and risk it. Food and drinks are sold before you go down to the beach, there are no services available on the beach itself.

A very nice beach. The water was very nice and warm. Parking was free on the side of the road and there was plenty of space for public or private beach. It is worth a visit here.

Incredible beach with all shades of blue color water of the sea. Waves are large and increasing with each hour until evening. There are restaurants, wc, parking and shower , umbrella and beds. We took parking under cower with two beds and umbrella 15 euro all. On the beach there is savior. On the sea must be careful, beach It starts with sand - finely ground pebbles, and then large stones in the water. You must go to the water without everything- sunglasses, shoes , hat, because everything will change and you won't notice . On this beach you do not need swimming mask . Magnificent picture all around there. The horizon is incredibleand so endless.

Kathisma is one of the most beautiful beaches on Lefkada and definitely worth visiting. The beach is long and wide, with plenty of space to find a good spot. Sunbeds are around 20€ for the ordinary ones, or 25€ for the wooden set with parking included, which is very convenient since parking can get busy in high season. The beach itself has small smooth pebbles instead of sand, which makes the water crystal clear. After just a few steps it gets deeper, so be careful if you’re not a strong swimmer. The waves are usually big and fun, great for people who enjoy a bit of adventure in the sea. There are also water sports available for those looking for more activities. Restaurants and bars are located right by the beach, offering food and drinks throughout the day. Overall, it’s a lively beach with good facilities, beautiful scenery, and a bit of everything – relaxation, fun, and comfort.

Sky blue waters, The water was murky and the mask didn't work. The beach was fine sand and for some like me it is not comfortable. You can bring your own umbrella or you can pay sunbeds. There was a lot of free parking but also private parking 5€/day. You need to get up early 9-9.30am to be at the place if you are looking for free :) The locals told me that you have to be carefoul when its windy and there are bid waves bcs some people has lost their lives! Meanwhile you can do paragliding there. Bars and restaurants was close by.

Beautiful beach. Walking path is about 20min. There are sunbeds and umbrellas but also a lot of free space to relax. Aqua shoes are recommended to enter the water. No WC, only a small pavilion for drinks, ice cream and some snacks.

An incredibly beautiful beach — just as stunning as the famous Porto Katsiki. I highly recommend visiting it! The beach is never too crowded, and there’s also a section with sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. At the far end, you’ll find a nudist area. Parking is free, but you need to arrive by around 10 a.m. to find a spot. From there, it’s a 20–30 minute walk through a mountain forest with both uphills and downhills. If the sea is calm and there are no big waves, you can also reach the parking area by boat (water taxi).

The sunset from this beach is Worth the 20 minutes hike across the steep hill from Agios Nikitas and the trip back in the twilight. There were waves that afternoon but it was a nice change from the east coast calm waters.

The beach is really beautiful, water is crystal blue. There were some waves that have not seemed too big, however water taxi was not available that day..so better to maybe ask in the city. Going to beach through woods is doable, better with sneakers. There are some parts that are steep but with few rest stops it's not a problem. There is not toilet, restroom. Snack bar is above the beach.

Beautiful sandy beach ⛱️🏖️ 😍❤️ Perfect view. Perfect water: beautiful, turqouise and clear, little to no waves, sand and little pebbles in the water. You don't need water shoes because the bottom of the sea is smooth and the little bebbles are friendly with the feet. To reach the beach there are 2 options: Option no. 1: This option is about leaving Agios Nikitas by foot and going though the woods directly on the beach. For this option you need to walk and climb on a pathway through the woody hills and go down on some rocky stairs towards the beach so I recommend you to wear sport shoes (or water shoes) with thicker soles instead of slippers/flip flops. I super recommend this option because it's so so so worth the effort. Take care of mosquitos after sunset. The view is spectacular and a little effort compensates for a lazy sunny beach day ☀️ 😎 Option no. 2: You can also take a water taxi from Agios Nikitas if you want the easy way. After 4 pm there is a long queue of people waiting for the water taxi to go back to Agios Nikitas. When the last water taxi arrives they will wisle, this means there will be no other water taxi after it so you better hurry up to jump on the boat for the last ride. There is a beach bar with frappes and drinks. There is also an area of umbrellas and beach beds with fast food menu. From time to time some guys walk through the beach with water, juices, soda, beers or donuts and pastries. Beautiful 😍❤️ is the best word to describe this beach 🏖️⛱️

Amazing beach with big waves. Given it’s remote location, sunbeds cost 2 beds 1 umbrella 40 euros. So either bring your own or be prepared. The road to the beach is difficult terrain so be prepared with bad terrain shoes.

Beautiful (pebbly) beach; great coffee; 20-min, strenuous (due surface, elevation and the heat) walk to get to* but well worth the effort. *Or a nice 5€, 5-min boat ride, though often the queue for that takes as long as the walk.

An impressive place, definitely worth visiting and a person to experience their own adventure. You need aqua shoes because the water is quite cold, as well as a dry bag for luggage, they are sold in the parking lot. In places the water is deep, but everyone can explore as far as they want. They offer a variety of adventures, horseback riding, kayaks and boats on the river.

Lovely place with stunning, picturesque sites, definitely worth visiting. But the river is freezingly cold, literally could not keep my feet in it for more than ten seconds. Rafting is a must and we chose the first one to offer us this, at the very beginning of the tourist site. All in all, really well-organized, and definitely we will come again some day, just fully- equipped next time, to be able to explore more of the canyon.

The best excretion in the area... One of the best rivers to walk and swim in Greece... Really worth the visit and try some of the activities in the river like horse riding, zip line, cayak etc.... Highly highly recommended really impressed with the area...suitable for all ages from very young children

"Are you far from the river?". Our trip to the River Acheron was the highlight of our recent holiday in Parga. It is a truly extraordinary experience which I will never forget. The water is refreshingly cold and it gets so deep at points at the Gorge that you may have to swim. There is also rafting, kayaking and horse riding. There are plenty of places to eat in Acheron, beautiful open-air stores and bathroom facilities.

Life changing experience. Be prepared for cold swims and a bit of climbing. Bring swimming shoes though, or buy some before entering! Truly an incredible experience that everyone should go through at least once in their life.

This is a MUST for anyone visiting the area of Epirus! Do not miss to make this stop at a place made by the hand of an artist! The entire structure with the stone corridors and the wax sculptures is a unique resemblance of the Greek 19th and early 20th century! Very informative tour and guide. He really knew a lot of facts to tell us about everything and every period shown in the museum. And even knew some historical facts about the First World War in Greece. I really learned a lot from him about Greek history which I didn't knew yet.

It's definitely worth your while. The surroundings are like you're in a cave. Attention is paid to every detail, even weed growing between stones!

One of the most beautiful museums - the wax statues are so detailed you feel they are alive.set in different periods they show scenes of the most significant events in the Greek history. The building inside is cleverly designed - you go through dark corridors and see the statues behind windows in various scenes. The last part is the artist's selection of various events . No photos or videos are allowed. Don't miss it!

The personages seems not so "real" and if you are "claustrophobic " its not a good idea to go here you are in the dark and it's cold and some personages move her eyes to look at you ... you don't feel so relax and you can not take photography and if you take the security gonna follow you on your back until the end like you have killed someone or like you have do the one abominable think it's stupid and crazy because in England you have the same thing and better with all the cinema star and you can take photos and touch the personages and it's seems more real it's stupid !

What a sight! Short hike along beautiful clear rock pools with the amazing local striated rocks. Recommend wearing sneakers if you plan to go far back. This place was great, cool in the shade. Formed through both natural and human made interventions.

Beautiful nature point on the road side to micro papaginko. Nature carved a small water way in between rock walls that are built from layers of straightstone plates. Now its end of September and there is only a very little amount of water yet it is enough to seat, listen and relax.

Imagine a landscape straight out of a fairy tale. Impressive rocks sculpted by nature, forming small, crystal-clear 'pools'. The feeling is magical, as if you're in a hidden secret of Pindos.

A beautiful game of nature in the heart of Pindos Mountains. The water made its way through the rocks the last 200 million years and made some breathtaking formations of stone. I guess in some years the water is more and in some others less, regarding how much it rained. So don't get disappointed if the water is less. Enjoy this majestical work of nature.

A beautiful landscape of successive natural pools formed within the rock by the constant flow of the stream. Hopefully it will keep on flowing.... Do respect the environment if you go. No littering, no sunblock in such delicate surroundings.

In the summer (Augest) the pools are not realy fool. There is 1 big pool that is great. Its fun to go as far as you could but at some point you need snapling equipment to continue. Its a great location sins its only 10 min walk from your car

Visited this beautiful castle with my fiance, to watch the sun set over Saranda, it didn't disappoint absolutely stunning, enjoyed a glass of wine which I topped up with lemon soda. Perfect end to our holiday to Albania. We didn't eat here this time as we had already eaten but the pizzas looked lovely so we will be sure to try them on our next visit.

Perched atop the hills overlooking Saranda, Lekursi Castle offered one of the most spectacular views I’ve ever experienced. From up there, I could see the sparkling Ionian Sea, the city below, and the surrounding islands, all creating a breathtaking panorama that felt almost magical. Exploring the castle ruins, I was fascinated by the history and the stories these walls must hold. The on-site café made it easy to relax while taking in the scenery, adding to the charm of the visit. Lekursi Castle wasn’t just a historic site—it was a stunning viewpoint and a truly unforgettable highlight of my trip.

Beautiful venue at the top of a mountain with the most fantastic view of the sunset. Generally everything was lovely, we all had good food, if slightly expensive compared to everywhere else …except I became unwell overnight from what I suspect was bad seafood pasta. It was probably only one seafood bit, as my reaction wasn’t too violent nor immediate, but it got me overnight and I was down for the next 2 days.

Beautiful views from the lower balconies – definitely the highlight of this place. The restaurant itself is not halal and the food is overpriced, but you’re really paying for the location and scenery. I’d recommend arriving at least 1 hour before sunset (2 hours if you want the best seats) to secure a good spot. Drinks are also on the expensive side. We had a margarita pizza and a few drinks before heading elsewhere for dinner. Overall, the views are absolutely amazing and worth experiencing at least once- but save yourself for dinner elsewhere.

I ate dinner at a castle with a pink sunset! This castle wasn’t what you would expect to be as a castle. It’s more of an outdoor venue for dining, concerts and performances. You can’t vest the view! The service here was impeccable. The food delicious, the wine even better. Parking is hard to find. We took a taxi up there. If you plan to take the bus, that looked a little shady.

We went there for the view, it was amazing, worth visiting. We could admire the walls of the castle, but there is a restaurant inside and it affects the original look. The restaurant itself looked nice, but we haven't eaten anything there. The castle is accessible by car until the gates

A place to meet the sunset in romantic atmosphere! Food for all tastes. If you one a bit luxury dinner its there and a bit further there is also a pizza place, but still with the same beautiful view. As also you can get only drinks, and still enjoy the sunset!

Gjirokastër Castle is definitely a must-visit if you're in southern Albania. It’s a place filled with history, with a dark and somber atmosphere — especially with so many old prison cells spread throughout. The entrance is paid, but unfortunately, the site could use better maintenance and preservation efforts. There's a lot of dust and loose soil around, and since the castle is exposed to the wind, it can get quite dusty and uncomfortable for visitors. Still, it's a powerful and historical site that’s worth seeing, just be prepared for the conditions.

Incredible experience! You get free range to wander through the entire castle. We spend well over two hours walking around and exploring the castle. There is a second museum within the castle that cost extra to go into. I would recommend paying to go in, it was very informative.

We bought the tickets online, so we skipped the huge line at the entrance. The castle is incredible, make sure to go with enough time to explore everything calmly. It has a beautiful view and a fascinating history. Definitely worth a visit!

The view is stunning, you can see the whole city from above. There are some interesting areas and hidden paths to discover. Even on a busy day, there is plenty of space to move around, they also have toilets inside.

Personally loved this place, amazing views and quite striking thinking about all the 1500+ history and the effort that was put into building it over the time. This is a well-preserved historic site that tells the story of its past. The fortress has a long and eventful history, with many key moments mentioned right at the entrance. It's a great stop to make on your way to the seaside.

Impressive and well-preserved castle with stunning views over Gjirokastër and the surrounding valley. Entry is 400 lek, with an extra fee if you want to visit the museum inside. You can explore the old prison, see a U.S. military plane, and walk along the massive stone walls. Some signs could offer more context, but overall it’s a must-see when in town!

It’s a large empty concrete square, incredibly hot in the summer and nothing to do there. In one corner you have a fountain/ water feature. The rest of the square is surrounded by buildings, some of which are under construction. There is a statue also on one side. I parked my car in the car park below, it was the only reason I came to this square. Nothing to see and nothing to do, I suggest you don’t waste your time. If the square is one of the best and most popular tourist attractions in the city then my eyes must have missed something

Located is the absolute heart of Tirana, this is a massive, modern space that really feels like the city's central meeting point. It's an impressive feat of urban design, with its unique sloping pavement that funnels rainwater to the gardens below, and it's surrounded by many of the city's key buildings like the National Museum of History and the Palace of Culture. It's a great place to get a feel for the city's energy. However, while it's huge, it can feel a bit "naked" at times, and I agree it could use a few more attractions or points of interest within the square itself to make it feel more engaging. Great sunset view. Still, it's a vital part of the city and a must-see. Recommended 👍🏼.

So much history in this location. There’s a free walking tour available starting from in front of the opera building. It’s not a very long walking tour and mainly goes around the square so it’s perfect to learn about the history of the country even if you are not particularly mobile. There’s some fantastic architecture visible just from the square showing the recent progress made over just the last 20 years since their conversion from communism to democracy. Definitely worth a visit and the tour is free.

A beautiful large square where traditions and modernity mix. You will see the theater, the famous mosaic of the national museum and a mosque. A cross between the modern side of the city with its new buildings that grow everywhere, and the historic statues and minarets. A nice square for walks and photographs, but once you see it, you move on.

Albania is very beautiful country and it's nature but in Tirana there is nothing to do here just a place to walk in the city center and the telefrik (cable car), i am recommending to discover the country in north amd south more than staying a single night in Tirana. Just pass couple of hours to see Tirana city center if you are interested it's very crowded no parking slots in most of streets.

Great place downtown just to enjoy the day. Big and spacious, i enjoyed watching people here. Surroundings are buildings from different era and different style, ottomona, brutalist, modern architecture.. very beautiful contrast. Try also visit at night, it has different vibes with all the lights. So many shops and restaurants nearby. Also its a very great idea to find a hotel around here.

I recently visited the National Historical Museum in Tirana and was disappointed to find it temporarily closed. However, the museum's exterior is impressive, and the location is central, making it a great starting point for exploring the city. I was really looking forward to visiting the National Historical Museum, but unfortunately, it was closed when I arrived. There was no clear sign or information about the closure, which was quite disappointing. The building looks impressive from the outside, especially at night, but that’s all I could experience. It’s a shame that such an important cultural site wasn’t accessible.

The National Historical Museum is the kind of place that reminds you a country’s story is never simple. The mosaic outside already sets the tone — proud, dramatic, full of struggle. Inside, the halls move you through Albania’s past step by step: Illyrian roots, invasions, resistance, dictatorship. Some sections feel heavy, especially the modern history rooms, but that weight is part of the truth they’re trying to show. It’s not flashy or over-designed; it’s honest. You walk out understanding the country better — not just dates and events, but the spirit that shaped the people.

Probably 4 stars but it is an extensive museum where you will surely learn things. Covers a wide time range, Bronze Age to WW2. Maps, objects, photos, clothing are all part of the museum. There is even an iconography section which includes stuff from Kosovo. Generally there is a bit too much writing in bunched up mega-paragraphs in each section. Not a great way to transmit the knowledge. People would walk right by a lot of it like “Sorry this happened to you Albania but I’m not reading all that.” Text is in Albanian and English only. Worth the 500 lek entry but hard to understand why they close at 4pm and don’t take euros or card. Definitely one of the best museums in the country.

Overall it was good experience. The ancient part is amazing. However there are some periods in the history are missing. It would have more variety sections and the museum can be more modernized. Nevertheless it is a must place to visit in Tirana.

It's worth visiting. The National History Museum includes the following pavilions: the Pavilion of Antiquity, Middle Ages, Renaissance, Independence, Iconography, National Liberation Antifascist War, Communist Terror, and Mother Teresa. They overleaped Ottoman Period. It is obviously political decision. You need 1 hour at least to see everything.

My group’s stay here was awesome! The front desk staff was very willing to help with any questions we had whether it was travel logistics or any information about the town. They helped us find hikes to do, food to try, and more. The rooms were well maintained and the bathroom was cleaned every day. Lastly, the events hosted the by hostel allowed us to connect with the other guests which made our experience feel very rewarding. Would highly recommend to all!

Honestly the room was very very small but it's okay. I took the ensuit room which means private. The mattress was was very very bad. The sheets where stiff and old, so it was not nice on the skin. The pillow was very uncomfy. And there were a lot of noise from downstairs. I'm not recommending. If you want a good night sleep you shouldn't go there.

I paid 5 Euros for breakfast, which was supposed to include tea or coffee. I asked for a coffee, but they only had pre-sweetened packets. I made a simple and basic request: a coffee without sugar. The manager's reaction was unbelievable. She told me that in two years, nobody had ever made this request. She refused, told me to just drink tea, and then accused me of being rude for simply asking. Instead of finding a solution—like sending an employee to a nearby shop to buy a simple jar of instant coffee—she escalated the situation by calling the owner. The owner was even worse. He was immediately aggressive and threatened me, saying I was "playing with fire." He then asked how I had booked my stay (Booking.com, etc.), which was clearly an attempt to find out if I could leave a negative review. When I told him I hadn't booked through a website, his tone changed, but he continued to be hostile. He and the manager both insisted I was being rude. The manager even mentioned that there were cameras, as if to imply I had been aggressive, which is a complete fabrication. I was calm; they were the ones who were hostile. The owner then wanted me to leave the hostel. I have never experienced such terrible, aggressive service. This wasn't a complex request. It was a cup of black coffee without sugar. Old Town Kotor Hostel is a fantastic place to stay. The hosts and volunteers are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is ideal for meeting other travelers. I booked a shared room, which was absolutely fantastic; it was very clean, and you can tell they pay attention to that detail. Super comfortable.

The best hostel in the Balkans!! I was here as a guest in March and the atmosphere even then in the off season was immaculate, they make sure to take care of you and that you have a fun time even without the summer activities. I loved it so much that I came back as a volunteer for two and a half months. Hands down, the best experience of my travelling. Ridiculously amazing social environment, the fellow volunteers take care of the guests in a way I’ve never seen (hosting activities and showing the guests the best spots in their spare time). The housekeeping is kept to such a high standard as well which makes it so comfortable for the guests. I made connections to so many people and majority of them told me it was the best hostel they’ve ever been to and that it feels like home. Which is exactly what it is, a home away from home!! Milan cares so much about everyone’s experience and will never let anyone leave with a bad taste in their mouth. I couldn’t recommend this hostel more, it’s somewhere you absolutely can’t miss.

Loved this hostel so much. The place felt really safe, as a solo female traveler, and the staff is amazing. Especially Fatih, Roxie, Sami, Nick and Milan the manager made my stay so much fun. Really recommend to join all the events here!

Fantastic location in the old town. Staff was super nice and attentive to guests' needs. We got a private room which was clean with a beautiful view of the street below. AC was nice and strong. Breakfast every morning for 6€ and activities for 23€. Boat tour and sunset fort bbq were both great. Would definitely come back.

you are in the area, I definitely recommend a visit. It’s best to go early in the morning, as it gets very crowded later on. There are two parking areas available – one at the base and another higher up for cars. The place itself is beautiful and has a spiritual atmosphere, though it can get quite busy with many visitors.

Beautiful and authentic monastery. Half an hour is enough to look around. No caffe or restaurant there, probably because it's an active monastery. A shop with icons, crosses and other religions staff as well as some souvenirs is present on site. Road to it is quite slippery due to a lot of stones in asphalt mass - be careful especially if road wet.

Interesting place to visit. Neat how they've perfectly blended in the building into the rocks. Looking at the amount of parking places around here and the waiting line structures at the entrance it can get crazy busy. When we were here end of October nobody was here. If the barrier to the last segment is open, you can just drive through it and park your car right in front of this place for free. Quite a few parking places there. We started by parking at the last official parking lot before the barriers at first, but from there it's still quite a climb to get to this monastery so we turned around and decided to drive all the way up, which was perfectly fine. The views over the valley are nice. Not much to see other than that. You can get inside some rooms of the building, but it's not that interesting. If you don't hold a religious relationship with this place, it's nice for a quick visit, but otherwise, especially when it's busy, I would say skip it.

A beautiful monastery in the middle of a mountain. The walk up is a big one and i would definitely recommend bringing water and good shoes on a hot day. We waited for about 10 minutes to get into the monastery itself and we had to wear a little piece of clothing to cover our knees. It more than worth it to visit this place!

A trip to Montenegro should include a visit to this incredible Monastery. Many go as a Pilgrimage, but no matter why you choose to visit, it's can experience not to miss. There are a couple parking lots. The upper lot is the best option, but still requires over 150 steps to climb.

The place is a must visit regardless of your religious beliefs. For those who believe - it's considered the most sacred place in Montenegro and probably one of the most visited for the pilgrimage in the entire Balkans. For those who not too much in religion - the monastery was built in the vertical cliff high in the mountains in the 17th century. Not the everyday sight, isn't it? The place is well known for the miracles happening there. Those who come there for the pilgrimage walk 3000 steps upstairs barefoot. Those who come just to see can drive up the slope and walk the remaining part from the parking lot along the zigzag road or take the same steps. Cars with disabled persons or small babies can drive up to the top straight to the monastery. The views from the top are stunning and tend to set you to the meditation. Those who believe can enter the small chapel with 17th frescoes and approach the remains of Saint Basil of Ostrog, pray, get the blessing, it's a very peaceful and blessing place.

Not worth the stair climbing and the walk. The building is kind of impressive and the view is nice, especially from the top balcony. The parking near the monastery is only for disabled people and (at least that’s what the sign says; we were not allowed there). So, if the general parking is far, you have to climb a lot of unsafe and unstable stairs.

Went on a solo trip and booked an excursion to see the island in its entirety. Stopped at Bay of Kotor, and this place is beautiful. This is a must do as tourists from cruise ships and normal holiday makers swamped this stunning Bay. Restaurants and souvenir shops were abundant, and it was nice to pass the time in this amazing place.

Great place, stunning views. A must go if in Montenegro. Loads of boat tours to choose from! Visited the Church Our Lady of the Rocks, the Blue Cave, and the Ex-submarine base.

It doesn't really surprise me that the Bay of Kotor is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Although very touristy, the bay is definitely worth a visit. The towns and villages around the bay, especially Herceg Novi, Tivat, Perast and Kotor, have many beautiful sights to offer, and of course a boat trip across the bay should not be missing from the to-do list. The views of the bay and the surrounding mountains are especially beautiful from the water. In short, the Bay of Kotor has a lot to offer the visitor!

This bay is awesome. We had a speedboat cruise and it was great. The view of the bay from the mountains is amazing. You have to see the bay from different places.

The site belongs to the UNESCO list and one can right away see why. Very close to Dubrovnik, it offers stunning views and is a bit less over touristic, though still very touristic. Views from up the hill are worse the quite demanding hike... or you can take a car or bike up the serpentine.

For ones who miss the sun, the sea and the majestic mountains... a super city of freshness... both natural and historical buildings, definitely worth a visit

Amazing place just up the Tara bridge. Very kind hosts, great hospitality. They also have a zip line 1km long above the Tara Kanyon. I highly recommend the place!

Great Place, but the walls are too thin, the water pressure is not good and you are not able to look the doors, even the fridge is a bit open. Great for everyone who loves open houses.

Amazing island is waiting to be discovered. We were very glad that we had the chance to visit this amazing place. With a ferry every 30 minutes you can get there early and spend the day exploring the place. The is a lot of walking to be done if you do want to explore the island but you can reward yourself with a swim either in the Dead Sea or by the rocks. There's a restaurant on the island, a cafe/ bar and another one by the lake.

Visiting Lokrum Island was an absolute highlight of our trip to Dubrovnik. We definitely enjoyed our time on this beautiful, tranquil nature reserve. It’s the perfect, accessible escape from the Old Town crowds. Getting there is quick and straightforward. It’s just a 15-minute ferry ride from the city's Old Port. We found ticket purchasing to be easy, whether you opt to buy online or at the counter right in the port. Once on the island, you immediately feel the difference. It truly is a beautifully silent, isolated place, filled with lush greenery and the most lovely peacocks who roam the grounds freely. For activities, there are great offers to swim in the crystal-clear Adriatic, so be sure to pack your bathing suit. And for Game of Thrones fans, the Iron Throne is here! I highly recommend dedicating at least a half-day to exploring this wonderful, peaceful haven.

A must visit especially for the fans of the Games of Thrones. The throne is here and many people choose to lineup for a photo opt. The ferry services to and from the island are at the old port that’s a 15 minute boat ride. The boat schedule runs every 30 minutes with two boats. The ticket sales can be purchased online or at the ticket booth. It’s 30 euros round trip including admission. You’ll find many areas to swim and enjoy the scenery. The popular swimming spots have lifeguards. There are restaurants and eateries located throughout the island. Worth a visit and less crowds here.

This is a magical place only 10-15 minutes boat ride from Dubrovnik port. It is a protected island and there are plenty of beautiful peacocks all around the place. For GoT lovers this is the city of Qarth. You will find maps all over the island with the important locations that you have to visit, there is a beautiful beach and a lake. The boat to the island costs 30 euros per person but you get a 20% discount if you have the city pass. Totally recommend it, you cannot miss it if you visit Dubrovnik

The Island of Lokrum is a beautiful place to visit with the family. 🌿 The scenery is amazing, and it’s a great spot to swim, relax, and explore. You’ll also enjoy seeing the animals roaming around and the variety of trees and plants across the island. The only thing to keep in mind is that there’s quite a bit of walking involved 😛—so be prepared with comfortable shoes. Overall, it’s a fun, natural, and refreshing experience.

It was fine. The trails up to the observatory are horrible and should not be attempted by anyone unfamiliar to long hikes or rough trails. The descent is no better. The beaches are rocks but the swimming appears good. They clearly want you to stay by the parts they can make money off you by their bar and cabana by the rocks. The ferry is timely and the trip is easy and quick. Overall if you can take you own boat or trip plan to spent €30 to hang out and bring drinks/snacks to hang by the water it is worth it. Otherwise save your money and just go to a beach

We visited Lokrum Island off-season, so it wasn’t crowded at all. The boat ride from Dubrovnik itself was already an amazing experience, and the trip is definitely worth the price. The island is beautiful, lush and green, with a few cafes and restaurants to relax in. There are also plenty of spots to sunbathe and enjoy the sea. A must-visit, especially for Game of Thrones fans! And of course the peacocks😱😍🦚🏰🌊

You can buy tickets at the entrance. We bought only cable car tickets, but there are also Dubrovnik card tickets available. Sunset is a peak hour. You can walk down with nice view to the city. If you walk aside a little bit (sunset direction) there will be less crowded spots to enjoy the sunset.

Beautiful scenery. Worth every penny. We went on a sunny day. The day we wanted to go the cable cars were not running due to high winds and rain.. so we drove up the narrow road that leads up to that point. I would not fo that. It's a 2 way narrow road. If u can gallows either taxis or someone it's fine otherwise pulling over is hard on to gravel.

Gorgeous views over Dubrovnik. Sunset was amazing from the top. Walk a little towards the left (cable car behind you) to find some beautiful nature and even better views. We also bumped into a herd of goats. Queue down after sunset was almost 1h, right before no queue whatsoever (neither up or down).

The only negative for this cable car ride is the cost of round trip for 30 EUR. You can get a flight ticket from London dubrovnik for the exact same price, and the views will make you feel you redeem the cost of it but I remember paying much lesser fee for longer cable car rides. The views are amazing , there is only one half decent restaurant on the top to have a beer and enjoy the views, and if you are going around sunset time, the uphill rides become very crowded and long queues so plan your trip accordingly

Recommend taking the cable car... great views and access to a swish restaurant/bar at the top. 30 euros for a return trip but well worth it. Smooth journey. Takes about 5 minutes. Didn't eat at the restaurant but had lovely, reasonably priced, drinks whilst enjoying the fabulous views.

It was okay overall. You do have great views of the old town. I wish I had gone up during sunset. I recommend only going up iif the weather is good otherwise the view wouldn't be worth going up. I didn't eat in the restaurant but would recommend getting a drink to soak up her views. If you have time, I suggest getting a one way ticket and then hiking back down Mount which takes around 30-40 minutes if you’re in good physical condition.

The Dubrovnik Cable Car is one of the best experiences to do in the city! The ride up is smooth and the views over the Old Town, the Adriatic Sea, and the surrounding islands are absolutely breathtaking. The time spent at the top was amazing — whether enjoying the scenery, taking photos, or just relaxing. A must-do when visiting Dubrovnik!

The 'must do' thing when you are in Dubrovnik. On a good day you can see for miles from the top of the walls and it is probably the best place to view the old city buildings from. There are really nice views of Fort Lovrijenac from the walls and you can spot lots of Game of Thrones filming locations from them. Highly recommended and don't forget that the price includes a visit to Lovrijenac as well.

Breathtaking views every corner. A lot of stairs but it’s totally worth it. We didn’t purchase the one day pass to go inside the city wall, we just purchased the city wall pass and it was €10. Highly recommended place.

Amazing city walls, absolutely beautiful scenery from everywhere you walk. The walls are in amazing condition and are so clean and well looked after. Lots of walking and lots and lots of steps, but worth it for the views.

Beautiful scenery - it shows you the true glory of Dubrovnik. We went during a rainy day and even then it was still gorgeous. Lots of little cafes along the way with toilets (which we used to hide out in during the heavy rain!)

The walls are a must do it you are visiting Dubrovnik. It takes about 1.5-2.5 hours to complete as per your place. The views are just fantastic. Wear comfortable shoes. There are a few places to grab something to eat and drink. The wall ticket also gives access to Fort Lorijenac for a duration of 3 days so don't throw it away. The ticket costs 250 HRK. Came to know later that the Dubrovnik card costs 250 HRK and it covers the wall and a bunch of other places so please do check that out first. Best to do first thing in the morning to avoid crowds. Sunset is also a good time for great views

The walls of Dubrovnik are iconic, no doubt, but are they worth 35 Euro per person or almost $40? I'm not sure about that. As glamorous as it sounds, walking the walls is not that pleasant. There is no shade up there whatsoever, and the views, though initially stunning, quickly become repetitious, and in concert with the heat, they turn to old news as you start searching for shade, water and eventually the exit. I, for one, did not finish the circuit and bowed out before the heat stroke had the chance to do me in.

Lovely scenery from walls. Costs 35 Euro per person. We have been there with one 6yrs old and one 2.5yrs old, also our foldable stroller was with us. It was not too easy with stroller because you need to carry a lot. If you have foldable and light weight stroller, you can take it with you. The easiest way to start is from Maritime Museum, less steps and easy to climb up. Rest of the entrances have more and steep steps. It is one way walk, and you do not have to take round tour. We left the walls from Pile gate.

An incredible experience! Would recommend everyone to do it. There are roughly 1000 steps and the distance is approximately 2 kilometres but don't let that fool you, it is a serious workout. They advised that it should take an hour but it took us double that doing it with two small children. In the end the kids were exhausted and we were not able to visit the fort (the City walls entrance ticket allows you access to the nearby Fort Lovrijenac). Would advise to start early in the day if you're visiting in the summer as it gets quite hot post 11am.

Great view of the whole city. 35 Euros is a fair amount, but if you're interested in doing something else too (like visiting the fortress outside the walls which is 15 euros on its own) then it makes the price much more justified. There are breaks for food and drinks along the 2.1k walk. Lots of steep stairs, be a bit careful if you don't like heights. Amazing though, definitely recommend as an activity.

Visiting the Tekija in Blagaj was a truly peaceful and unforgettable experience. The harmony between nature and history is breathtaking — the crystal-clear river, the majestic cliffs, and the serenity of the Dervish house make it one of the most beautiful and spiritual places I’ve ever seen. A must-visit if you're in Bosnia and Herzegovina!

The Islamic monastery of Tekija Blagaj is absolutely impressive! The entrance fee is around 10 km, but it's definitely worth it. Its location, right at the source of the Buna River, is simply breathtaking—surrounded by rocks, water, and beautiful nature. A place full of peace and history. Parking is also available nearby for a small fee. Overall, a fantastic destination that shouldn't be missed when visiting the region!🇧🇦❤️

Incredible place to visit. If you are visiting Bosnia, I would say a must visit. Beautiful historical and natural heritage of Bosnia located at the spring of the Buna river. This spring ranks as one of the largest in whole Europe. Around the spring there are restaurants with a really beautiful view. Of course Blagaj tekke is opened for tourists and you can visit this architectural ensemble in and out.

A short drive from Mostar and the place looks magical. We went on an evening in Ocotber and practically had the place to ourselves. You can also walk upto the monastery though we skipped it, and there are many restaurants around too where you can relax with a view. There is a parking lot nearby in walking distance and I had read previous reviews that they collect money, but surprisingly on the day and time we went there was noone there to collect.

Blagaj, which is the source of the Buna River and home to a beautiful Dervish Monastery nestled beside a cave and mountain. Entry to the monastery is €5. Some visitors were praying inside, and we were told that Dervish gatherings still take place here on Mondays and Fridays, lasting anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours.

Blagaj is a peaceful and breathtaking spot, crystal-blue water, a dramatic cliffside, and the historic Tekija house make it feel almost unreal. Perfect for a calm escape, beautiful photos, and a touch of history. Definitely worth the visit.

Yes, the place is undoubtedly beautiful—especially the river, the view, and the architecture itself. However, the entry fee feels disappointing given the lack of guidance or explanation. You’re allowed into a few rooms that were used for prayer and rituals, but there’s no clear information about the historical relevance of the person associated with the site, nor is there a guide available. Honestly, you could simply visit the area and take great photos from across the river without paying for the ticket.
