Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Window of the World Ticket Office is a large theme park that offers visitors the chance to explore miniature replicas of around 130 famous global attractions. From the Eiffel Tower to the Niagara Falls, and from the Sydney Opera House to Mount Rushmore, this park provides a curious glimpse at how various world landmarks are portrayed in miniaturized form. The replicas are found in different proportions, such as 1:1, 1:5, and 1:15.
Big theme park with lots to see, and a few rides to go with it. If taking the train, the park entrance is located at the "louvre" train exit. Coolest train exit I've seen. There is a "hanging gardens" ride, a 4d movie theatre (5min showtime), spinning dumbo cups and more. Spent 2 hours here and still could not visit all the attractions. My favorite was the koi pond with very large koi fish and an anime statue.
Darryl T — Google review
This is a big theme park with famous miniature buildings / tourist attractions from all around the world. We went at night to see the lights but the rides and shows were all closed. I recommend going around 2pm so you have about 5 hours to experience the shows and the rides. There is a lot of walking, kind of like going to Disneyland. It's a fun place to go with kids and there's some small parks inside for the kids to play in.
Friendly N — Google review
The place is absolutely beautiful and worth the walk and effort. However, I recommend avoiding a visit in the morning as the weather is extremely hot and humid. The temperature improves after 3 PM. Make sure to bring a map if you plan to explore all the attractions—it will take at least 6 hours. You’ll need to drink plenty of water, and I highly recommend trying the iced watermelon juice. It’s a refreshing choice! 👍🏻

I visited Windows of the World in October 2024. It was quite crowded, but still a fun and interesting place. The weather was hot, so make sure to bring water and sun protection. The park has impressive miniature versions of famous landmarks from all over the world—Eiffel Tower, pyramids, Taj Mahal, and more. It’s a great place for taking photos and spending a few hours walking around. It’s conveniently located near the metro station, which made it very easy to get there—I took the metro directly. The underground area connected to the station is full of shops, food courts, and small restaurants, so it’s a good place to eat or cool off before or after your visit.

Window of the World is a very big theme park in Shenzhen. It features replicas of all the iconic and famous landmarks in the world. It is divided into 8 geographical zones. They are World Plaza, Asia Zone, Oceania Zone, Europe Zone, Africa Zone, America Zone, Sculpture Zone, and International Street. Among the landmarks reproduced here are the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Great Pyramid, Taj Mahal, Big Ben, Angkor Wat, Arc de Triomphe and Kek Lok Si. There is a elaborate cultural dance and acrobatic show at 8.00pm every night. It is very entertaining with attractive lights, music, costumes, props and backdrops. Do not miss this show when you visit this park. Entrance ticket to the park (inclusive of the evening show) is RMB220 per adult, no discount for foreign senior citizens.

Love from India 🇮🇳❤️🇨🇳. Walked a distance of 1.5km from Shenzhen bay park 🏞️. (Lost the route midway 🥲). It's actually a OKOK kind of. Entry fee is around 200rmb ig. I didn't go in. 200rmb is very high as a tourist.

Nice huge park. Many interesting smaller-size famous buildings from around the world. Plus a lot of things for kids. Best for visiting with kids (only for adults maybe less interesting). Can easily spend 3-5 hour here. Available places for eating too.

Man Mo Temple

Taoist temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Man Mo Temple, located on Hollywood Road in Sheung Wan, is a stunning 1800s temple dedicated to the gods of literature and war. The temple's traditional interior is adorned with dozens of incense spirals hanging overhead, creating a serene and beautiful atmosphere. It was built to honor King-Emperor Man and Holy King Emperor Kwan, who were popular deities among scholars and students seeking academic progress during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
This has to be one of the most beautiful temples. You can feel the history as you enter. From outside, it does not look like much, but it is a very well preserved and old temple. One can highly appreciate if you wish to see the a part of history.
Daisy M — Google review
Very smoky atmosphere, especially with the heat of the summer people are literally worshiping statues. Unbelievable how people can live like this in the 21st century. What are the statues going to do to you? Do they even hear you if one of them falls will be able to protect itself from cracking down? Then why are you asking them for protection and for wealth and for all the other things?
Dhia H — Google review
If you happen to be in the Central area walking around the inner streets. Try to visit the Man Po Temple. One of the oldest temple in HK, the Taoist temple is a place of worship and it honors the gods of literature (Man) and martial arts (Mo). It traditionally served as a community meeting place for locals and Community Leaders (if you know what I mean) to resolved local disputes and Security issues. Look up the ceiling and you'd see large spiral incense coils which creates a smoky and aromatic mood. If you have breathing issues, the heavy smell of the incense on the other hand could be a bit strong and empowering. The place has a unique feel of meditative spiritual devotion among the believers so show a little respect and proper etiquette when entering the temple. Dress modestly and speak softly while in the premises. Avoid flash photography at all times and of course remove your baseball cap when entering. Lots of religious images and objects so avoid touching the objects and posing inappropriately.

The Man Mo Temple in Hong Kong is a place I make a point of visiting every single time I am in the city. It is more than just a tourist stop; it’s a beautiful and deeply historical sanctuary that feels suspended in time. Stepping inside is like entering another world, where the air is thick with the rich, earthy scent of burning incense coils hanging from the ceiling. The variety of experiences within its walls is truly fascinating. You can quietly admire the intricate architecture, observe traditional rituals, or simply find a moment of peace away from the city's hustle. A particularly convenient aspect is the presence of many different deities housed there, making it a one-stop destination for prayers and blessings. Adding greatly to the welcoming atmosphere are the people. The lady at the souvenir shop and all the staff are consistently so nice, helpful, and patient with visitors. It’s no surprise that the temple is so popular with tourists, as it offers a perfect, authentic glimpse into Hong Kong's spiritual heritage. For me, however, it remains a personal and essential pilgrimage, a beautiful touchstone I am always eager to return to.
Hannah J — Google review
It’s a beautiful temple. The moment you enter the temple , calmness welcomes you. You feel peace and lightness in the mind and body. Only request is not to take selfies when people are praying. I liked being in there. Please use only 3 incense sticks and not a bunch as requested by the temple authorities
Meena J — Google review
Amazing place I encountered while walking down the street! Northeast Asia generally has a similar atmosphere of temples, but it was the most exotic and foreign. It's an unforgettable experience. I recommended this place to everyone after I came back from my trip.
Mia — Google review
I have an appreciation for such both with historic, architectural and theological significance. Visitors also perform offerings, rituals and prayers. The temple is in the a mixed residential and commercial neighborhood. Some distance to Sheung Wan MTR and an uphill going from that direction.
Elmo B — Google review
Man Mo Temple is a must-visit for anyone seeking a quieter glimpse into Hong Kong's spiritual and cultural legacy. Its deep atmosphere, historic significance, and community rituals offer a memorable contrast to the city's fast pace. Just be mindful of the incense, pick the right time, and soak in the profound serenity.

Lianhuashan Park, also known as Lotus Hill Park, is a serene oasis located in the heart of Shenzhen. Spanning an impressive 370 acres, this urban retreat offers visitors a delightful blend of nature and culture. With its lush gardens, expansive lawns, and scenic viewpoints, it's the perfect spot for leisurely strolls or family outings. The park features various attractions including temples that provide insight into traditional practices and a notable bronze statue of Deng Xiaoping.
This park is huge and amazing!! You can stay in this park all day! So much fun for kids and families. They have good facilities like bathrooms and sinks, plenty of food vendors and you can order whatever you like to get delivered by drone! There's hiking paths, a lake, playgrounds, benches, etc.. You can access this park by the Metro Train as well to help with the parking. I highly recommend coming to this park on a weekend with your family.

Simply superb! I didn’t have enough time exploring the whole park (it seems like a big park as shown in the map), just a small hike to go visit Deng Xiaoping Statue before sunset. Very nice, clean and quiet place, it feels like a breeze of nature in the middle of a highly industrialized city like Shenzhen. I love the cozy book/coffe shop downhill as well. Good architecture. Another +1 for this place is the seated toilet 😉. Personally like it as a tourist. I will go back to this place and will plan to spend a full day here.
Trang N — Google review
A highlight of my trip to the futian district of shenzhen would be hiking up the garden and viewing the city from this vantage point. Definitely worth a visit! You can see most of the central business district from the top of lianhuashan park. Do note a climb of about 15mins is required and can be quite uncomfortable due to the heat and humidity if you are visiting in the summer. I got to see many kids visiting the park on a school day too! Nice little excursion for the kids.
Darryl T — Google review
Huge park with lots of things to do like Picknicks, walking, dancing etc. You can easily spend half a day here. There are many vending machines and many vendors which sell different kind of food, drinks and things. Of course the view of Shenzhen from the top is a real highlight. It’s a pretty easy walk up there but with the heat and the humidity it was really unbearable for me that day. So just take it slow and bring water with you!

Visiting Lianhuashan Park today was an absolute delight! This place is a hidden gem-impeccably clean, lush, and beautifully designed. The moment you step in, the vibrant greenery and fresh air make you forget you're in a bustling metropolis. ✳️ Highlights: ✅ Stunning Views – The hike up to Dengta Hill is totally worth it! The panoramic view of Shenzhen’s skyline, including Ping An Finance Centre, is breathtaking. ✅ Perfect for Relaxation – Whether you're jogging, having a picnic, or just unwinding by the lotus ponds, the park offers a peaceful escape. ✅ Well-Maintained – Spotless pathways, manicured lawns, and plenty of shaded areas make it a joy to explore. ✅ Family-Friendly – Spacious playgrounds and open fields are great for kids and outdoor activities. A big shoutout to the park authorities for maintaining such a clean and serene environment. Whether you're a local or a traveler, Lianhuashan Park is a must-visit for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike! A Green Oasis in the Heart of Shenzhen! 🌿

A peaceful escape in the heart of the city! Lianhuashan Park is a beautiful green space with plenty of walking paths, scenic views, and tranquil spots to relax. The park is well-maintained and has a nice mix of nature and art, including statues and gardens. The highlight is the view from the top of the hill, where you can see a panoramic view of Shenzhen’s skyline. It’s a great place for a morning jog, a leisurely stroll, or just to unwind. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Shenzhen.

Hiking Trails
Embark on an unforgettable adventure along the renowned Dragon's Back, a stunning hiking trail nestled in Shek O Country Park. This picturesque ridge offers breathtaking views of Tai Long Wan, Stanley, Tai Tam, and the sparkling South China Sea. While it’s not as steep as some of Hong Kong's more challenging trails, a decent level of fitness is still essential for this undulating path that resembles a dragon’s spine.
Really enjoyed this hike. It's very popular, with lots of people around. A pretty easy hike! The trail is easy to follow and well sign-posted. A few short, steep sections but otherwise not difficult. The views are really great. I started at Tei Wan bus stop (take the number 9 bus there) and ended at Big Wave Bay. It was an 8km hike and took me around 2.5 hours. Plenty of spots to stop and relax / take photos of the views. Take plenty of water as there's nowhere to buy refreshments on route. There's a cafe and some shops at Big Wave Bay. A nice place to stop for a drink / bite to eat at the end of the hike.
Katie H — Google review
One of HK's most popular hikes, lives up to the hype. Was great that the start of the hike had restrooms. The beginning of the hike had quite a few stairs and elevation. This was the most difficult part in my opinion. But that leads you to some great views as you keep going higher. Great viewing points to take a break and pictures. Majority of the hike is moderate after that at its mostly walking. The descent back down was easy. Most of it is level ground or stairs which are easy to climb. Only some parts were rocky, but not hard at all. Took us about 3 hrs and ended up at Big Wave bay which was rewarding and great to chill and grab a bite. A must do hike for HK.
Sunny D — Google review
Beginner-friendly hike with a rewarding view 🌿⛰️ I hiked Dragon’s Back solo in Oct '24 and loved it! well-marked, safe, and popular. I took the bus from Shek O and started at the official trailhead. If you walk non-stop, it takes around 2 hours to reach the beach. But i stopped often to take photos and rest, so it took me about 4 hours in total. I started at 8 AM and it gets quite hot after 10 AM. I’d recommend starting around 6:30 AM if you want cooler weather and fewer people. By noon, the trail gets quite busy with school groups, tour groups, even elderly hikers. So no worries about getting lost, you’ll have plenty of company! If you’re new to hiking in Hong Kong, Dragon’s Back is a great place to start. Highly recommend!
Cookie N — Google review
Relatively easy hike but such rewarding landscapes. Start at To Tei Wan bus stop and end it at Big Wave Bay, as this way you conquer all the steep parts in the first bit of the hike and the rest is downhill and cruisy. About 8km. Also as everyone else mentioned, make sure to bring plenty of water as it is not a very shady trail apart from the end bit.
Marta L — Google review
An easy hike with great views and access to nature. I’m glad it was super easy to get out of the city.
Mathew D — Google review
Famous Hong Kong hike - moderate difficulty, suitable for all. Start at the Shek O bus stop. A fairly steep climb will lead to nice vistas. As you trek, you will get to see water bodies on both sides, hence the name. High recommended! Trails are very well maintained. Kudos to the authorities! Can get quite hot in the afternoon, as there is no forest cover near the top.
Ron Y — Google review
Popular hike in Hong Kong, with plenty of people walking it when I went. The views were pretty good. The public transport ascesibility is fantastic. When leaving, if you're lucky, you can catch the red bus to the MTR station which is waiting in the carpark. Otherwise you'll need to walk out to the main road for the double decker bus.

Nan Lian Garden is a serene park in Hong Kong, designed in the style of the Tang Dynasty. Spanning 35,000 square meters, it offers tranquil walking paths, picturesque waterfalls, and peaceful koi ponds. Located in Diamond Hill Kowloon, this unique garden provides a peaceful escape from the bustling city. Visitors can immerse themselves in opulent flora and soothing sounds of nature while enjoying the charming ambiance.
A small but beautiful garden. The view is scenic, surrounded by lush greenery and high rise apartments nearby, which reflects the essence of the modern tall city Hong Kong in embrace of nature. The chinese wooden craft museum is really intriguing. The lotus pond garden is beautiful and the sound of birds singing and chirping is soothing. A nice place to have a relaxing walk on the weekend.

A tranquil Tang‑style oasis in Diamond Hill, Hong Kong. From gilded pavilions and graceful red bridges to peaceful ponds surrounded by architectural elegance, these images capture its serene beauty. Nan Lian Garden offers a rare and serene escape—a beautifully curated blend of traditional Chinese design, calm energy, and urban contrast. It’s perfect for slowing down, reflecting, and capturing a slice of cultural elegance in the heart of Hong Kong. Bring a camera, wear comfortable shoes, and don’t miss the tea house for a peaceful pause.

Beautiful and peaceful garden in the middle of Diamond Hill, perfect for a quick retreat from the hustle of Hong Kong. The garden was well-maintained and clean, tranquil even with a lot of foot traffic. We especially enjoy the wooden architecture exhibition showcasing different features of the Chinese architecture. No food and drink, but there’s a teahouse and vegetarian restaurant inside. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Hong Kong. Entrance is free and easily accessible from Diamond Hill MTR

A Perfect Day of Peace and Beauty ✨️ My husband and I visited Nan Lian Garden 2 days ago , and we're still in awe of its breathtaking beauty! From the elegant tea house to the lush trees, the gentle waterfall, and the picturesque bridges - every single element was absolutely stunning. What made it truly special was experiencing this peaceful paradise together. We found ourselves just sitting quietly in the garden, listening to the soothing sounds of nature - the rustling leaves, the flowing water, and the distant waterfall created the most magical atmosphere. It's amazing how this place makes you forget you're in the middle of a bustling city! The garden filled us with such a wonderful sense of peace and amazement. Watching my husband's delighted reactions to each new discovery made the experience even more memorable. It's not often we find a place that can make us both feel so tranquil yet so excited to explore every corner. This is more than just a garden - it's a sanctuary for the soul. Perfect for couples looking for a romantic escape or anyone needing a moment of tranquility. We'll definitely be back to create more beautiful memories here!

You could easily spend half a day here. We visited after a late lunch, and it was truly fulfilling to stroll around and take in the beautiful sights. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, making it a lovely place for a leisurely walk. One highlight is the Chinese timber architecture building, which is both informative and impressive. The lotus pond is another picturesque spot serene and perfect for photos. Along the way, you’ll also find a rock exhibit and a garden terrace, adding to the charm of the experience. There are conveniently located restrooms and a snack shop offering refreshing drinks much appreciated on a hot day. The MTR station is nearby, making it easy to reach. Overall, it’s a beautiful place that preserves culture and history wonderfully.

A peaceful escape in the middle of the city. Beautifully landscaped gardens, calm ponds, and graceful architecture make it a perfect place to slow down and breathe. Truly serene and refreshing. 🌿
Taru J — Google review
The garden itself was very nice. It was clean, well-designed, and surprisingly calm (considering it's in the middle of a "busy" area). I would say the clou du spectacle was the Chi Lin Nunnery temple. It was, and I choose my words carefully, one of the most majestic clusters of buildings that I’ve ever seen. I’ll definitely go back on my next trip to Hong Kong
Charles-Antoine O — Google review
- this place is kinda sorta hard to find because there's construction going on around the park entrance--to which is NOT conspicuous at all. - the Nunnery is across the street from a mall, so that's convenient! I think it's called like Hollywood Plaza - the Nunnery is a pretty decent size - There's speakers along the walking trail and there's relaxing music playing - the park is FREE, so that's a plus - there's an architecture exhibit, a mini-museum near the entrance - the pond near the entrance is really pretty with the temple-like structure - there's a vegetarian restaurant, another mini rock exhibit and gift shop (?) along the walk that leads up to the highlight of the Nunnery: the lotus ponds - Surprisingly, the nunnery's greenery really helped with the summer heat, so there's that - the lotus were really pretty

The Hong Kong Heritage Museum, located in Sha Tin, showcases various aspects of Hong Kong's rich heritage. The museum's distinctive traditional Chinese siheyuan architecture houses six permanent exhibitions, including the Cantonese Opera Heritage Hall and the TT Tsui Gallery featuring Chinese art. A special exhibition dedicated to Bruce Lee is also a highlight. Through time tunnels, visitors can explore pivotal periods in the city's history, from its humble beginnings to becoming a thriving metropolis.
Amazing collection of Hong Kong cultural artifacts! I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the materials and presentations. I especially love the Bruce Lee hall and the 金庸 exhibits. Free admission and very easy to get to via rail / subway.

It's a free admission and best museum ever! It feels both antique and interactive, as if the past and the present meet in one place. All the staff and security personnel are incredibly attentive and kind. I happened to visit during the museum’s 25th anniversary celebration, so there were special events I could join, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

You can see the permanent Bruce Lee exhibition on the third floor. Admission is free. This permanent Bruce Lee exhibition alone is worth the trip. I only saw his movies a few times as a child, but I found myself wanting to learn more about him.

Went there quite late in the evening. It’s a nice walk from the MTR to the building. The building itself isn’t very impressive but the exhibits are. With only an hour to go, I went straight to the Bruce Lee exhibition. Found his personality quite endearing going through his philosophies and personal letters. On the way out and with little time left, got a peek off what seemed to be and exhibition of Chinese artifacts.

This museum is very underrated, when I visited there was so little visitors, it also happened to be a Wednesday so I don’t need to pay to enter. I enjoy the Cantopop section the most, reliving my childhood memories

Constructed in 1957, the path leading up to the temple is adorned with 500 life-sized golden Buddhas. At the top, visitors can explore a nine-tier pagoda and temple filled with even more Buddha statues.
Very cool place for a hike. Not hard for people in fair shape but I could see how it would be a workout for people not used to a lot of hiking. Took us about 20 min to get to the top. Pretty steep but it is possible to push someone in a wheelchair up, as someone we passed on the way back down was doing.

Amazing place to visit biggest Buddha I've ever seen and in a great place. Lots of shops too. When we went the cable car wasn't working but there is a bus that takes you there and brings you back too ( just make sure you have cash in think it was 40 HK Dollars for people) if you can make your own way do go through an excursion as apart from the bus and train it's pretty much free.....😍

Beautiful well- kept and not so touristy spot in Sha Tin. I loved the place. It is free to enter. The trek up could take about 15 mins , if you have good fitness it should be easy - I saw people with mobility issues , old people and young trekking up so a healthy adult should find this as an easy trail (you will break a sweat for sure and a good cardio exercise). There are stops in between with seats and disability access like a ramp, and railings for those who might find these useful. The views above are beautiful and very clean, you cannot take pictures inside the temple. Overall, a very nice trip to Sha Tin And highly recommended.
LL ( — Google review
What an incredible experience from start to finish. To begin with i reccommend visiting first thing in the morning as soon as the temple is open. Otherwise it might get busy. The trail is quit steep but not too long. The sights on the top as well as the view will make every step worth it. Once you reach the top there is a right and left trail for different sights. Every sight is unique and very asthetically pleasing with its details but the main temple and the pagoda are truly impressive. There is also a nice souvenir shop with fairly reasonable prices. For reference 1-2 hours would be enough to explore thos sight depending on your fitness level (e.g rest at the top after the trails)

Would recommend going early, there are no crowds. Staff in the monastery is really helpful and understanding. This is a place to be very respectful and photos are prohibited in sensible areas.
Jose S — Google review
Went there in the morning and it was very quiet. Only few people on the way. It doesn't take long to get to the top. Worth to go because it's not just another temple. Some of the Buddha statues are very amusing. Cool monastery and lovely views

An amazing walk up to a breathtaking spiritual place. Not busy with tourists so it's ideal to disconnect from crowds and meditate. Arhitecture on a very detailed level.

A Peaceful Hidden Gem in the Hills of Sha Tin Visiting the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery was one of the most memorable experiences of my trip to Hong Kong. The peaceful hillside location, paired with the hundreds of golden Buddha statues lining the path, created an atmosphere that felt both spiritual and surreal. Each statue has a unique expression and pose, which made the uphill walk surprisingly fun and thought-provoking. The monastery itself is beautiful and serene, with intricate architecture and stunning views over Sha Tin. It’s not a functioning monastery (no resident monks), but it holds deep cultural and historical charm. Just be prepared for the stairs—it's quite a climb, so wear comfy shoes and bring water. If you're looking for something off the typical tourist path that connects you with both nature and culture, this place is a must-see

Mountains
Wutong Mountain is a forested peak in Shenzhen, offering a network of hiking trails and stepped paths that lead to stunning viewpoints. The scenic area spans across Luohu, Yantian, and Longgang, including attractions like Donghu Park and Fair Lake Botanical Garden. With a total area of 31.
A big mountain to climb and if you did what we did - climb from Wutong Xiao to Wutong Da, its a real serious effort. We went from the smaller mountain crossing over to the bigger mountain and then down, the whole climb taking over 8 hours and it was a little dark when we finished. But also very interesting. Starting off, it looked pleasant, and we saw some warthogs nearly immediately - they were quite passive - I think they scavenge for a lot of food from the tourists visiting - We climbed as far as the observation deck and tower. From here you can go across to Wutong Da. After a while you will come to a big area where you can get some snacks and drinks in a shop. Some people by pass all the hiking and get the bus or drive here from the road. From here its a trek then to the top of Wutong Da, which is the highest peak in Shenzhen. The peak itself isn't anything amazing and is quite busy and not easy to get a good photo. From where we took a quieter, less used route to go down. We took this route as we didn't want to retrace our steps and wanted some new sights. It had many steps and went very deep into the forest. We came across many Woolly Aphid's - which was very interesting to see - . By the time we got down it was nearly pitch dark so we were happy to finish before it was completely black. Then we went for some food, but the next day we were both well knackered. One thing on these mountains is the steps - lots of them - up, down, and around and around - lost of steps - monotonous at times, and tiring. Its not hiking per say, but still if you do enough of them its damn tiring by the end of the day. They have cleverly used tree branches as railings which helps. Also the routes are well sign posted, and also every few km/s there are posts showing how much is left to climb.... which can motivate one to keep going. On the routes up and down you will see many people selling drinks, food, fans, hiking gear, all sorts - even in areas where we thought were quite remote we still seen people selling their wares. Makes one think how they carried so much up to the mountain. The views from both mountains were majestic and you get a great view of Shenzhen city in all its glory. Overall it was a good hike and a memorable trip - but I think perhaps doing the two mountains together was a bit much. Still though I enjoyed it.

Really beautiful for a one-day hiking activity. Total is about 17km to and fro from the main gate to the peak. The last 1km was very steep for me but luckily managed to complete.

I have started from from Wutong South gate, then got the Shenzhen TV Tower. After that I started hiking to the peak of the mountain. Finally finished my hiking at North gate. The metro line 2/8 has station "Wutong Mountain South". The view is really amazing from the peak of the mountain. City view in one side and sea view with Yantian port in other side.
Mohammad A — Google review
Wutong Mountain A must-visit for nature lovers, offering breathtaking views and a refreshing escape from the city. The climb is mainly via stone steps, with well-maintained paths that make the hike pleasant. You can get there by taking the Metro to Wutong Mountain South Station, Exit D. Alternatively, from Liantang Station Exit A, turn left and walk about 800 meters to reach the North Gate.
Hunny M — Google review
Challenging mountain if you go by the difficult route! So many steps to the top, however the scenery is stunning! Do not make the same mistake as me coming in a hot weather, choose a nice cooling weather to climb this beast!
Lai T — Google review
There have best Sunrise and sunset view. It’s Shenzhen highest mountain.
Cecile — Google review
It's easy to get to Wutong Village to start the hike up the mountain. Take the 211 from Luohu or the M445 from Huangbeiling exit D. If you take the 211 it stops in the village and you can find the slow road up the mountain by following the main road through the village. The M445 will take you close to the reservoir where the challenging hikes begin. If you get the AMap app it has the trails on the map and they are easy to work out. It is a popular hike so start early if you wish to avoid the crowds. There is an impressive view from the top, but if it is the weekend you will probably encounter a band on the mountain top! Chinese people mostly have no sense of the peace and tranquility of hiking and you will often encounter people hiking playing loud music. So be prepared if that is a problem for you!
Philip W — Google review
I'll update this review with more information when I get back to the US. Take bus 211 from Shenzhen all the way to the end. It will leave you in Wukong village. Walk for 10 minutes to the Wukong Northwest Gate (search it on Google maps, or use Google maps to just head to the only road appearing to go into the mountain). The hike consists of a 3 to 4 mile incline walk on a paved road that zig zags up the mountain. There are several overlook areas. The maps posted along the trail are all in Chinese and in questionable condition, but keep heading for the mark that says "943.7" as that is the highest peak to get to. Eventually you will get to a plaza at which point you can start the final ascent right next to the toilets, or veer to the left more and take a short path (10 minutes) to another place you can ascend. Both lead to the same place. There are some vendors selling foodstuffs along the way up, as well as on the peak, and plenty of toilets. This is definitely a full day hike. I got on the bus at 9:15 am, started the climb around 10:15, and reached the summit at 12:30. By the time I ate lunch, descended (with a few longer stops) and had a snack it was 4 pm. I'm also a relatively quick walker / climber.

Dameisha Beach, also known as Dameisha Seaside Park, is a top destination in Shenzhen, China. This picturesque beach offers stunning mountain views and stretches over 1.8 kilometers along the crystal-clear waters of Dapeng Bay. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as swimming, water sports like jet skiing and parasailing, beach volleyball, and even barbecue parties on the soft sandy shores. The park is divided into different zones for different activities including leisure and water sports.
Clean and calm overall—one of the best. I found it unique as it’s surrounded by mountains, making it the perfect place to relax. Had a great time here. Also, there are many 4–5 star hotels nearby, making it very convenient to travel with the metro.

It's a nice and clean Sea beach very near to Dameisha Subway 🚉. The waters are blue and near the Food over bridge it's turns into black. You will be loved it to go there.
Subhajit D — Google review
I went on a summer day, Friday afternoon and the beach was full of crowds and a whole lot of children running around. It wouldn’t be such a good idea as a getaway, but I guess the dining establishment along the beach would offer something for everyone. I sat down for a drink to cool down and enjoy the sound of the waves and that served my purpose. To my surprise despite huge crowds there, the water really was very clean and the sand was soft and fine. There are more adventurous water sports options there such as paragliding. Very accessible by metro, get off at Dameisha station.
Helen J — Google review
It's one of the best known beaches in China and, combined with different tiers of hotels and shopping arcades, I'm sure it's it's one of the most visited. With the opening of Dameisha subway station right next to it (exit A), it was just jammed with people. Btw, the decorations at the station echoes the beautiful beach outside. Don't forget to take some pictures on the way out.

To access the Xichong Public Beach Toll Gate 1, visitors may find it necessary to utilize a taxi or other means of transportation due to its remote location. The beach itself boasts exquisite natural beauty and offers ample opportunities for swimming and engaging in various water-based activities for those seeking excitement. Conveniently, shaded tents are available for rent, which is particularly advantageous when splitting costs among a group. Furthermore, lockers are provided on site, eliminating concerns about safeguarding personal belongings.
It's beautiful and clean beach in Shenzhen, China. 2.5 hours car driving distance from the city centre. The entry of this beach is not free. The washroom facilities are available to take a shower and parking space as well.

This was difficult to get to so you probably need to take a taxi of some sort for part of your journey. The beach itself was beautiful and you can swim all along the shore, as well as do a variety of water activities if you're feeling adventurous. There are shaded tents for you to rent, which would be ideal if you have a group of people to split the cost. Another great thing is that they had lockers for you to rent for the day, so you don't have to worry about your things. You need to pay a few yuan to use the restroom at the main entrance of the beach.

Kaiyuan Temple (開元寺) is a Buddhist temple located in Xiangqiao District (湘橋區)of Chaozhou (潮州市), Guangdong (廣東省), China. After ascending the throne in 713, Emperor Xuanzong (唐玄宗)issued the decree building "Kaiyuan Temples" which was named after his reign title "Kaiyuan" (开元) in each prefecture of the Tang Empire (618–907). Through the rise and fall in the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing (唐宋元明清)dynasties, most of the present structures of Kaiyuan Temple still preserves the original appearance include several national treasures. The Buddhist temple has an original name of "Lifeng Temple" (荔峰寺). The name was changed to "Kaiyuan Wanshou Chan Temple" (开元万寿禅寺) during the Yuan dynasty (1172–1638). And then it was renamed "Kaiyuan Zhenguo Chan Temple" (开元镇国禅寺) in the Ming dynasty (1368–1644). During the Qing dynasty (1644–1911), people usually called it "Kaiyuan Temple" (开元寺) which is still being used now. During the devastating Cultural Revolution, the resident monks were forced to disrobe and return to secular life, the abbot died in countryside. The temple is free to enter.

This temple is located just off the central Pai Fang street in Chao Zhou. As it is in the main pedestrain street, one can expect plenty of visitors, especially closer to evening. The key temples are currently undergoing restoration works. As such you can only visit the surrounding areas. Nevertheless this is still a place worth visiting.

Kaiyuan Temple was a short visit while in Chaozhou. If you are in the area check it out.
Weihua F — Google review
A beautiful temple with architectural and garden details not less than those in Beijing and Xian. The stone cravings you can touch and feel are exceptional. In most other tourist sites you can just see them from a distance. Look at the eyes of those stone people, many of them have two pupils… It is not a big site to see for most people not interested to the religion and building art works. Still it worth the effort and entrance fee to visit.

Bridges
Guangji Bridge, also known as Xiangzi Bridge, is a celebrated ancient bridge in Chaozhou, China. Built in the 12th century, it is famous for its pontoon boats and numerous pavilions. It is considered one of the Four Ancient Bridges of China and is a must-visit attraction in Guangdong province.
This is a bridge that speaks alot about traditional bridging technology which is still being used in modern days....definitely worth the time and effort to be there, and take in the scenic surroundings around the bridge. One will have to rely on e-hailing rides to get there. The area is congested because of the single vehicular lane on either side of the road, and misaligned traffic light timings at a particular pedestrain crossing.
DENNIS T — Google review
This is the "must visit" place in Chaozhou! In order to cross the "sea" (or rather the lake), you will have to step through a row of 18 boats (out of 24) tying together and it can be shaky especially when many people are walking through the boats as they are floating! But the scenery there is superb, very nice and windy and you will get to see historical displays and exhibits along the way with nice architectural roofs and door frames dating back to centuries ago. And if you come at night (at 8pm), you will be able to see the nice and colourful lighting shows, awesome! At this point of time, the boats have been "removed" and left with the two main bridges that will not be linked together!
Ed C — Google review
Awesome fascinating bridge that has the middle part section connected with boats in which everyday at certain hours, they will move the boats away for boats to pass by. Beautiful invention. Dnt have to buy tickets in advance.

Went there ard 530pm after sunset in Jan . Quite disappointed, doesn’t look as nice at we saw on YouTube . Light up was said to be at 630. Manage to catch the brief light up ard 626 for a minute before the light was gone. Waited until 635, wasn’t light so we left. Though the brief light up was in different color instead of warm yellow lighting that we saw on posting. Thus it doesn’t looks as nice

Chaozhou 广济桥 Guangji Bridge was built by Zeng Wang, a magistrate under the Song dynasty (1170). At that time, it was a floating bridge consisting of 86 large boats connected to one another. Its original name was Kangji Bridge. There is an old saying, "到潮不到桥,枉向潮州走一遭", that means if you go to Chaozhou without visiting the bridge, you cannot say that you have been to Chaozhou. There's a must-visit free "Light Show" here at 8pm night.

You can buy ticket to cross and come back with 1 tickets as long as not going out the ticket gate. Bear in mind the time as they will remove the center part of the boat bridge at the evening. Do ask the locals or Authorities for more info. I have seen some tourist not managed to get back on time end up paying taxi to fetchythem backtfrom the opposite of the river.

You really need to stay overnight to visit all the attractions. If you only buy a ticket, you can walk around, take pictures, play on the beach, and visit worship for about half a day. Tulou is a one of oldest living village with ancient architecture art and culture. There are building including numbers of rooms (apartments) with having one entrance. Those are can be seen as the fortress.

Not so easy to reach but definitely worth it. Old historical buildings, oldest one is about 300 years old. The village is full of life, with beautiful views. Area is big, electric cars are available. When we visit it wasn't crowded. Entrance fee = 90 Yuan. You can get there directly from Xiamen by bus. This takes over 3h. There is also a mini bus to Longyan where you can switch to a fast train.

Great place where people still live in Tulou since 700 years.

(Translated by Google) It also retains many traditional cultural spaces, and you can drive along all the scenic spots, which is quite convenient. It’s just that the internal sanitation needs to be improved, and people who can’t accept it should be mentally prepared before going! (Original) 還保留許多傳統文化的空間,開車可沿著所有景點也要跑遍,算挺方便的。只是內部環境衛生有待加強,無法接受的人去之前要有心理準備!

Riyuegu Hotsprings Resort

Riyuegu Hotsprings Resort is a luxurious hot spring hotel with elegant rooms and suites, offering a welcoming atmosphere for international guests. The resort boasts an array of amenities including spa facilities, seven dining options, and bars. Guests can indulge in the various hot spring pools, saunas, cold rooms, and even waterfalls spread throughout the property. It's recommended to dedicate an entire day to fully enjoy all that the resort has to offer.
Remarkable hot springs! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Its collection and variety of hot pools is incredible - from coffee or ginger tea, to wine or lemongrass water. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. I picked up the shuttle nearby the Fortune Hotel near the International Ferry Terminal. I showed up quite early and was confused because various people told me to go to various places to wait and buy my ticket. In the end, Jade from the Fortune Hotel showed me what to do - arrive about 15 minutes before and just get on the bus. I ultimately didn't have to pay anything, but I've heard it normally costs 30 RMB. At the resort (and it truly is a resort - pools, massage, rest areas, tea stations, restaurant...), you get a personal locker and wristband that you charge everything to. I felt safe keeping my belongings (passport, etc.) in the locker, although I knew it was my responsibility if anything happened to them. At the pools they required me to wear a swimming cap, so I had to buy one for 18 RMB. Not too bad. The place has all this incredible greenery. The gardeners must be busy around the clock! Truly a serene place for the guests. The massage was really great - oil and hot stones. My therapist was professional and made me really relax. I would recommend to come here with a friend or more, as sitting alone in the pools can get boring. Overall I had a fantastic stay here and will definitely be back.

Love the hot tub in the room as the water is straight from the hot spring. The breakfast is of high quality and wide variety. The facilities at the club house include a lap pool, a hot spring pool with various massage options. There are pool tables and table tennis tables too. There is a free self service laundry too. No need to buy detergent at all. We truly enjoyed our stay here.

Be sure to bring swim suit and hair cap as they limit some pools for people who don't wear hair caps. Overall it's a good place to relax and treat yourself with hot spring. BTW, shuttle to and from the place is every 2hours and operate to In'l ferry terminal for 30 rmb.

Very friendly atmosphere even if you don't speak Chinese. Waterfalls, saunas, cold rooms, and huge hot spring pools throughout the whole place. Recommend spending the entire day there since you will probably be taking a bus from Xiamen. A few people walking around in underwear, the odd boardshorts, but mostly bikinis / speedos and the odd person in their full clothes

Have been to this place 5 times. Best relax ever. Hot and cold baths, swimming pools (especially massage pools 🥰). Turkish bath, sauna, cold room and forest room. Love everything. Also very tasty food in the buffet. Love it ❤️

Dropped a load of money on a Hot Spring Room & Day Tickets & ended up with Athlete's Foot. 👌 Long way out of Xiamen and very dissatisfied at the end!
