Very nice and well-maintained museum. Friendly welcome and guided staff who pointed out to us to visit the lower part as well. Without his friendly help we would have certainly missed this. Thanks & too bad this city does not seem so touristy. It is possibly all the fault of Alexander the Great and the final downfall of Thebes: the city was totally destroyed by him in 335 BC.

A rich collection of archaeological findings spanning the history of Beoetia from the paleolithic to the early Ottoman period. All signs and exhibit labels are in Greek and English. We took it slow and read almost everything and consequently spent around 3.5 hours here, but the average person will probably spend ~2 hours here.

Staff on the gate desk spoke English and appreciated the attempted use of Greek language whilst purchasing tickets (€10 for a standard entrance ticket). Outdoor exhibits are seen first and cover some very early periods of Ancient Greek sculpture, masonry and statue. All exhibits have dual Greek and English text and are detailed, both in the overall topic/ section and for numbered items in display cases - the interior exhibits are separated by era (Iron Age, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine etc) making navigation simplistic. The structure uses primarily flat ground but a wheelchair lift is available for disabled visitors in the one room that is lower than the rest of the buildings layout (this accessibility did not extend to the castle tower on the museum grounds which required visitors to navigate 2 small sets of above average steep metal steps to gain full access). I cannot comment on the onsite Café as it was early in what appeared to be renovations at the visit time. The museum Gift shop, which you walk past/ through when entering the indoor exhibits, stocked some small replicas of assorted busts and jewellery etc. Photography is allowed for non-commercial use (without flash). Overall, a worthy visit for any history nerd, especially in regards to the insights on the mundane through burial items, craftsmanship, changing artistic styles through the eras and shifting political and military policy as Greek land passed between so many hands and invading cultures over its history (there are no interactive exhibits or big fancy weapons racks for children to marvel at however, so be wary of those who have little patience for reading).

One of the best museums I have been to. They are many interesting artifacts from Thebes and the region and they are very well presented and explained in a beautiful building. I really liked her Linear B displays. They really need a better shop and cafe.

The museum and the archaeological site of Corinth are definitely worth visiting! I recommend bringing water, a hat, and comfortable shoes, especially on hot days. The only downside is that it’s a bit tricky to get there: you either need a car or have to take a taxi (from Corinth town we paid €12 to reach Ancient Corinth and the archaeological site). That said, it’s absolutely worth it. On our way back to Athens, our taxi driver stopped at the Isthmus of Corinth(20€): we got to see the canal, take some photos, and there’s also a ticket office and a bus stop for the return to Athens.

Easy to get to off the main highway. Normally open 8am to 8 pm. Closes at 6:30 in October. Costs to enter. They do not give you a map so you will need to read the signs to understand what you are viewing. The museum was nice and flowed well. It is easy for adults and small children to navigate.

We have been looking forward to seeing this archaeological site for years. The ruins of Corinth we see today are from the Roman era. This site was founded by Julius Caesar himself. The Greek city was destroyed by the Roman general Lucius Mummius in 146 BC. For us, the best aspect of seeing these ruins is to follow in the footsteps of the apostle Paul. He ministered to Corinth for 18 months.

So incredible to walk through what was once a thriving and bustling structure in ancient Greece. We especially were in awe of the Bema where the Apostle Paul would speak...so cool and rich in biblical history. A must see in Greece!

I went with a group and we had a guide. I would say having a guide of some sort is key to understanding more of its history. The ruins are beautiful and there is a small museum that also has restrooms. There is a decent amount to explore in Corinth. There is also a small town center with snacks, food, and souvenirs.

100% worth the drive especially if you combine it with a trip up to Acrocorinth. So much history happened here both from a Greek mythology perspective and a Christian/biblical perspective. Bring you walking shoes!

Great museum, the ancient city grounds and ruins are one of the best in all of Greece. If you love the anvient cities it is a must see. Rent a car and drive out and visit this and many sites nearby. Free for under 18

The Corinth Canal is a truly spectacular sight, and it's much more than just a waterway. Standing on the bridge, you get a powerful sense of the history and the immense engineering effort it took to carve this narrow, deep channel through solid rock. The sheer cliffs on either side are breathtaking, and watching a ship navigate this incredibly tight passage is a unique and thrilling experience. It's a must-do for anyone traveling through Greece, offering both a stunning natural view and a fascinating glimpse into human ingenuity.

Nice place to stop by! Such a deep and narrow cuts which separates the Peloponnese peninsula from the Greek mainland. With a nice history behind ofcourse. Only the view from the bridge is stunning. I wanted to try bungee jumping here but it was closed 😩 Still, totally worth the visit!

We visited the Corinth Canal and were absolutely amazed by its breathtaking views — it’s a must-see both for its visual impact and historical significance. Standing on the bridge and looking down into the narrow, deep waterway is truly unforgettable. There are several nearby restaurants and cafés where you can enjoy a meal or a drink at relatively reasonable prices. It’s a great spot to take a break, enjoy the scenery, and soak in the atmosphere. For thrill-seekers, there’s also the opportunity to go bungee jumping right over the canal. At around €100 per person, it’s definitely on the pricier side, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that adds a real adrenaline rush to your visit. Parking was easy and the area felt tourist-friendly. I’d highly recommend stopping here if you’re passing through the region — even a short visit is worth it!

The Corinth Canal is a fascinating sight. Typically, tour buses heading to the Peloponnese start there for a rest break and spend a few minutes seeing the canal. The ancient Greeks and Romans dreamed of building a canal here, but lack the technical ability. It was completed in the late 1800s using steam equipment. If you are able, suggest driving to the Diolkos. This was the ancient road that ran across the isthmus, mainly to transfer goods and on rare occasions ships.

This canal is impressive, but it’s a short 5-minute visit. Don’t expect much to do here; there’s nothing to see or do.

You can't imagine how much I love Corinth canal, it looks unreal. I was many times here and always is amazing. I can stand on the bridge all day long. Don't miss this beauty.

Absolutely amazing! Stunning views. We stopped here while travelling through Greece. There was plenty of parking and also many restraunts, shops, cafés and beaches nearby. Would definitely recommend going to see and experience for yourself.

The displays are in Greek and French, so if you speak that language I would give it four stars. While not everything needs to be in English and appreciate that it annoys some people, it is however the lingua franca. The museum is small, with detailed displays and exhibits covering the ancient city. Toilets are available and parking is out front. Handy, for walking over the main road to the ruins

We visited the museum during the full moon in August 2025 and watched an interesting documentary about the recent discovery of the Temple of Artemis, a joint Swiss–Greek enterprise.

Small museum with a few surprising unusual pieces, typical of small town museums in greece. The bronze age collection is particularly interesting. Great potential if the ministry took some interest in modernizing the space.

The staff is not interested in visitors. They just sell tickets. Few words of introduction would be very useful. Ladies do not help at all despite very few guests. The museum concept is fine. What annoys most, the inscriptions about the exhibits - all of them are only in Greek and French (!). Why?

It's a small museum but an interesting collection very well preserved. Small toys, glass specimens, and local pieces of dish or amphora. The explanations are interesting, well balanced between length and quality.

Worth visiting and following the path, whichbthey give on the map. Very unfortunate, that there is no info in English.

I had wished to visit this place for many years and, finally, I did. We are all familiar with the Marathon contests all around the world, but, this is the The Place, the origin, from where the Greek soldier Pheidippides, ran to Athens to report victory in the Battle of Marathon; he died of exhaustion after delivering the good news. Today's runners, fortunately, survive, although any Marathon race is extremely demanding. Visit the place with me, you are in no danger, enjoy good food and coffee at the shore of the Marathon Lake (it's an artificial one), wander the picturesque landscape, watch birds and just relax. Have a nice trip!

This lake is so quiet, BUT, the forest is burned severely, it's okay 👍 so this lake has a bridge 🌉🌉

A beautiful place in Attica that many times its forests being burned for land speculation and as a final act of Love for the environment they now plant and deposit 5 kilometers away the garbage of Attica in the this area!!!!5 is for the memory of forests 1 is for all the destruction of the last green zone of Attica all concerned involved..Of course money for these people I more important for the conditions of people living in this area and of course whole Athens....money that's the only word they learned to worship.. Hypocrisy at its best...not only....

Went there to run the great Authentic Greek Classic Marathon. Great views, great scenery and above all, the feelings, running a route over 2 000 year old!

Do NOT use this route. This map leads u to middle of nowhere, on dirt road, you will see valleys with trees burnt, and then dirt road track ended, field of wild flowers and grass filled the area, we had to make a u-turn to get out. DO NOT use this route if you want to visit Lake Marathon. Instead, if you must visit, pick the Lake Marathon panoramic view on Google map. It’s over-rated.

from a tourist perspective, there is nothing here... walking routes from the dam are blocked off and the one restaurant that used to be here is abandoned.

A great place to visit really close to Athens

I came to this place out of curiosity, as a tourist, to see a Greek beach and take a walk. The harbor is impressive, with many beautiful yachts docked. It's a place for those who live in a completely different place. The beach next to it is rocky and, unfortunately, full of plastic pieces of various sizes

Pireus Harbour in Athens Greece is great place for connections to other islands by boats and ferries. I used so many times coming from Athens airport.

Very good organized port with plenty of different methods to reach the city center, including the hop on hop off busses if you are visiting only for a day during a Mediterranean cruise

There have been some modern updates since the 50’s but it’s not a modern port by any stretch of the imagination. Everything looks like the 1960’s but the necessary infrastructure is not here and may never get here. It can look comical how a country with so many islands don’t have a modern port but that’s a different conversation. If it gets busy good luck finding your way around. Most recently a paid passenger was thrown off the boat and died because the government has not figured a secure way to board people and vehicles on the boat. It looks like Europe but it reminds you a crossroad of cultures.

A massive seaport where local ferries and cruise ships dock. Taxis are only permitted to be in a designated area. Place is clean and efficient.

Fast and comfortable trip that was on time both ways. I removed 2 stars only because I went to the ticket desk in Aegistra and the friendly agent said it was no problem to board an earlier ferry. I repeated myself just to make sure she understood that my ticket time was different and she patiently responded that the QR code would work. The QR code did not work, however, when I boarded and so I was unsure if I would have to buy a new ticket. The agent on the boat said she would take care of it and disappeared never to return. Please just make sure your agents and your ticket scanners are on the same page

Fast ticket sales. Very accommodating. Was able to change my ticket times so we can go back to Athens earlier than planned.

Don’t stress the reviews, reliable, easy to book online, got us there quickly, everyone was kind, just don’t come late and you won’t be stressed. Really grateful and such a more pleasant commute than flying!

Last boat of the day had a problem so they cancelled with no communication or care for how people get back from Aegina, they said email for refunds, and refused to issue them there. absolutely no duty of care for customers

Riding the ferry to Aegina from Athens was beautiful. The ferry ride was amazing and comfortable. The ride was 40 minutes and $40 round-trip. It was a slow day, it was easy to get tickets. It was a beautiful day on a beautiful ferry.

After seeing the theatre, walking around the surrounding areas and taking in the scenery. Then I think you should go to the museum in order to piece everything together. This museum has all the artifacts found in the surrounding areas. I had a tour guide with me so I was able to appreciate the artifacts, what they meant and the gods that the ancient Greeks worshipped in this area. Without this context I would have been lost. Also €20 euros is a really steep price for in essence a small room and an ancient theatre. It should be €5 in my humble opinion.

Small archaeological museum.. near the theater/ stadium.. I felt a little bit of sorrow.. yes they have some ancient stuff.. but it is small.. not air-conditioning and need restoration.. you see the walls the painting goes out.. I don't know why they don't have it , in good condition.. again this you can see with the same ticket.

This place is definitely worth visiting!!! This is where modern medicine and modern doctors had their beginnings!!

The museum is realy small and highly neglected. It's collection has been plundered from the national museum in Athens leaving mostly replicas behind. Its exhibition is very old fashioned and a bit confusing. The museum collection has some great building parts from the roofs of the ancient temples of the area that are really impressive. But although the museum has its problems the archaeological site is one of the top sites in Greece. The ancient theatre is huge and well preserved (athens theater festival is hosted every summer there). And the remains of the buildings and the temples are really interesting and nicely presented. An UNESCO world heritage site Entrance 12€ and 6€ reduced ticket. Under 18 and eu students for free

Amazing condition with only basic restoration. To be able to climb tge steps & sit on the ancient seats is such a treasure. Would be fantastic to attend a show there. A small museum was also quite interesting. The walk through the remaining archaeological site was sadly cut short due to rainy weather.

This is a place to visit indeed, a massive and well-restored ancient theatre overlooking the mountains. We have seen other theaters before, in Thermessos, Aspendos and Phaselis in Antalya, this one is far bigger though. The place has great acoustics and definitely worth a visit, there’s also a museum with findings and inscriptions from the past and a large archeological site.

Incredible site to see! Highly recommend. If you sing, this is a chance to get heard by strangers for an impromptu performance with amazing acoustics and likely applause from visitors. We got lucky and got to hear a short casual performance.

An absolutely incredible site and a must-see in Greece! The ancient theatre of Epidaurus is astonishingly well preserved and famous for its perfect acoustics — you can literally hear someone speaking or dropping a coin from the stage, even from the top rows. The setting among green hills adds to the magic of the place. The surrounding archaeological site and small museum are also worth a visit. It’s an easy and peaceful walk around. Truly one of the highlights of any trip to the Peloponnese!

Really impressive space. The amount of constructions around the place, the sheer size of the theater, the unbelievable acoustics, the good state of conservation, the scenery, everything make up for an unforgetable experience. A must.

It’s impressive to see the theatre, views from the top are wonderful. We did also catch a girl briefly singing & the acoustics are just amazing. The rest of it is just ruins! Very expensive at €20 each - it’s not worth that. No audio guide, not even a restaurant open! No discount for English seniors either, EU only! Another brexit bonus. It was dog friendly - though not allowed in the actual theatre.

The place exceeded my expectations! We didn't manage to see ancient theatres in Athens, but coming here was much better experience. First of all because of much quieter location, much greener, lovely nature and the whole complex around. The theatre structure itself deserves a credit for being preserved so well. Parking at the entrance is huge, no worries about where to leave your car. All info tablets are in two languages, wonderful museum with sculptures. But, obviously, visiting place in mid-October also contributed to my super positive experience. Looking at infrastructure, I can imagine flow of people here in summer.

One of my favorite place where you can enjoy great view and wonderful boats. Good places for drink, dinner or lunch. Or just walk aroun snd enjoy the atmosphere.🫶🥰❤️😍 and parking available two hours only €6!!!

Flisvos Marina is a stunning location to visit with your whole family. There's something for everyone, it's an amazing place to stay for a couple of hours.

The area is popular for walking, dining, and relaxing, with cafes, restaurants, and shops. It’s a great place to enjoy the seaside atmosphere close to the city center.

An excellent marina with a large number of berths for all types of vessels. The marina also has a number of bars and restaurants with excellent service and very good food where everyone can find something for themselves and there is also a gift shop if you want to buy a little something or a souvenir.

Paralia Aponisos is a beautiful and peaceful spot on Agistri Island, offering crystal-clear waters and stunning natural scenery. Unlike the adjacent private islet of Aponisos, which charges an entrance fee (€6) for access to sunbeds, umbrellas, and food facilities, this beach area is completely free. Getting There: Paralia Aponisos is about a 15–20 minute drive from Skala, the island’s main port town. The route follows Agistri’s main road — it’s narrow but in good condition and very easy to navigate. Once you arrive, you can park conveniently right near the beach. The Experience: The beach itself is small, but the surrounding rocks offer plenty of spots to lay down a towel and relax, even though you’ll be lying on rocks rather than sand. The water is incredibly clear, with the feeling of a natural pool — really something out of a movie. The seabed is rocky for the first 20–30 meters, then turns into soft sand with beautifully transparent water, making it ideal for swimming and snorkeling. When we visited in early May, it was very peaceful and uncrowded, with only a handful of people around. Just be aware that during peak summer months (July and August), it likely gets much busier. Facilities and Surroundings: Behind the beach there’s a small port area and a food establishment (a bar/café), so you have options for refreshments nearby. To the side, you’ll see the private islet of Aponisos, which you can reach via a concrete platform. On the islet, for a fee, you’ll find organized facilities like sunbeds, umbrellas. Just a heads-up: directly behind the small sandy part of the beach, there’s a small port area, along with the road and a parking area for scooters and cars. This does take a little away from the feeling of untouched nature, since you’re not completely secluded. Still, the beach itself is so beautiful and the water so clear that you’ll probably enjoy it there anyway — once you’re swimming or relaxing by the sea, it’s easy to forget about what’s behind you. Final Thoughts: Paralia Aponisos offers a stunning, clear-water swimming spot with easy access and a laid-back vibe. Whether you want to snorkel, swim, or just relax on the rocks, it’s a fantastic place to spend a few hours. Just keep in mind that it’s not a sandy beach, and it may be much busier in the high season. We really enjoyed our time here and highly recommend visiting if you’re in Agistri.

Best beach of the island in terms of views and facilities. Entry with umbrella and regular sunbed is 6€ per person, and they have plenty (I’d say at least 100). If you want a set with cushion sunbeds (more comfy) it’s 5€ more (2,5€ per person). Considering the beach and the views, it’s excellent value for money. Very important: if you want, you can contact them to reserve sunbeds without additional fees, to make sure they are available when you arrive. This might be very useful especially during the weekends, where there are many more people and it might be hard to find available sunbeds. There is a beach bar with some food and drink options, and you can order directly from your sunbed through a button which calls a server without additional charge, very nice. The water is fantastic, there is both a shallow and a deep area, and you can also rent a kayak to explore the bay. Overall, I highly recommend, one of the best beaches I’ve ever been to, particularly nice after 5pm when most people have gone away and it’s quieter. Side note about the bus: as per July 2025, there are 2 (occasionally 3) buses that go from Skala to Aponissos, stopping by Megalochori, Dragoneira and Limenaria. The timetables are displayed on site, but it’s usually once an hour. While during the week you can manage to catch the bus in the morning (either the tourist bus for 5€ or the regular bus for 2€), during the weekend it’s almost impossible to catch one before 13:00, and there are very few taxis on the island, so I recommend be prepared for that maybe by reserving in advance or by renting a scooter. Conversely, catching the bus to go back in the afternoon, especially after 18, is much easier.

- It’s a private beach with 6Euro entrance fee. The fee includes sunbed with shade (no mattress- with mattress you pay 5Euro/2 person more and if with bed and cover- 10Euro). - However the access to the water is free as it can be access before the entrance. Out of that area there are 2 restaurants and many shade below trees. - Good service and perfect organization. Stay and press the button, they will come to get your order. Price is reasonable. - They also provide some stuff on the water for you to have fun. - The beach is sandy (still rocks here and there but still). About 6km from Skala.

It is a very beautiful place with lovely surroundings. The water is clear and great for swimming. However, admission to the sun loungers costs €6 per person, and a sun lounger costs an additional €10 per person. The front sun loungers in the first row are even more expensive. .

A very pretty beach with crystal clear water. There is a private beach side, cost of entry is 5€ which includes a sunbed. The customer service is very friendly and quick with reasonable prices. There is also a free area where you can lay down towels and rest under tree shades.

Beautiful beach. You don't need to cross the bridge in order to enjoy the beautiful water. Be aware that the sand is rocky and Not sutible for barefoot. Lots of urchin!

The Church of Saint Nectarios in Aegina is a truly miraculous place, filled with grace and peace. You feel close to the divine here – a wonderful spot for those seeking spiritual quiet and heartfelt prayer. It is said that prayers are truly heard in this sacred place. Practical note: the religious shop only accepts cash, not credit cards. The church is easy to reach by bus from Aegina port, and nearby you’ll find plenty of restaurants serving delicious traditional Greek food

I didn’t know what to expect for this monastery but it is a really good photo stop. It also got me curious about Saint Nectarios, who I learnt is venerated for many healings, especially of cancer, both during his life and after his death

Huge church. Amazing interior and obviously a place of pilgrimage for many. The reason being in the name St Nektarios. He is buried here and is known for many healing miracles. There is also the monastery and further relics. Appropriate dress is required. Long trousers for men and shirts. Women long skirts, not shorts, and tops should cover shoulders. No entrance fee but donations welcome, I'm sure.

Whole place is wonderful! The setting is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and the ambiance is calming. Strongly recommend visiting for a peaceful and uplifting experience.

This is an awe inspiring church. The floors are designed with tiny tiny ceramic tiles and around the amazing alter are mosaics of sea creatures. Above is the Monastery, with a small church, the actual rooms where Agios Nektarios lived and worked (St. Nektarios) and a guide to fill you in on all the details of his objects, writings and life. In addition there is a small room with the Saint’s tomb where many people feel/receive special closeness to God and even whispers when they put their ear up to the tomb. Skirts and cover update provided as dress code requires respect.

A beautiful and breathtaking holy place, the Church and Monastery of Saint Nektarios of Aegina is dedicated to one of the most renowned Greek saints, venerated in both the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Eastern Catholic Churches. This is a must-visit site when in Aegina, accessible by local bus, taxi, or rented scooter/car, with ample parking available nearby. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Be respectful of this active sacred site, as it is frequented by many Greeks seeking the favor of the saint. Up the hill, you can also visit the monastery. Men and women must dress modestly in accordance with the rules. When we visited, the interior was being renovated but remained open for visitors to explore.

Very spiritual experience, energy there was something special. Souvenir shop was a bit unorganized, big line up with only a single person working, but had really nice things.

We stopped here on our way to the airport, and it was a much more pleasant and relaxed shopping experience compared to Athens, which felt hot, crowded, and stressful in comparison. There’s a free luggage storage service available until 8:30 PM, which was really convenient. You’ll find a variety of restaurants, a large supermarket, and cafes with delicious pastries—all at reasonable prices. Most major clothing, footwear, and homeware brands are represented here. We arrived in the early afternoon. Although it was warm, there was a nice breeze. As the weather cooled down later, the place started to fill up with more visitors. One thing that truly stood out was how clean the restrooms were—honestly the cleanest I’ve seen anywhere in the world. The taxi from Athens cost €30 and took about 35 minutes. Just note that to leave the area, you’ll need to order a taxi (Uber works well).

We stopped here on our way to the airport for some last-minute shopping, and it was pretty cool. The mall has two big sections: an open area and a covered part. It’s spacious and family-friendly, plus there's a playground for the kids. Everything is well-designed and the restrooms are impressively clean. The Guest Services provides a free luggage storage service for tourist shoppers, but you need to show a plane ticket to use it. You can find all kinds of restaurants, a supermarket, and cafes with yummy pastries, and everything's reasonably priced. Most of the stores are branded, offering good deals on clothes, shoes, and household stuff. Just make sure to keep your receipts so you can get a tax refund for your purchases at the airport. The only downside is that there's no store for authentic Athens souvenirs, which is kind of a bummer.

Amazing! So many brands with great special offers. Totally worth spending the whole day here, visit both the premium section and the part with Zara, Sinsay, etc. There’s also a playground area for kids, making it perfect for families.

This mall is big! They have evrything and its very beautiful and pretty. If you are in the area its a must visit also walking distance to zoo and waterpark

Highly recommended perfect place to visit on your last day in Athens You can easily spend the whole day here without noticing the time it’s a beautiful and spacious outlet with so many great stores and a relaxing atmosphere. Most luxury brands are outlet stores, so you can find amazing deals and very reasonable prices. There are also a lot of popular brands like Zara and Pull&Bear… The place looks modern, elegant, and clean, and they even offer a free luggage storage service, so you can leave your suitcases and shop comfortably. We went straight from the outlet to the airport it was super easy We just took a bus to the train station, then a train directly to the airport everything was smooth and convenient

As with most outlets all over the world, the architectural layout and the brands displayed are similar. It has a very relaxed atmosphere. Because of the physical layout, visitors are not shielded from the rains if they want to move from shop to shop unless they use the underground carpark. When I was there on Monday, there wasn't many people. It opens at 10 in the morning.

I love this Zoo. We come with my son who is now 2 for over the year every weekend. We come less in summer, as it is hot. Its amazing zoological park with big variety of animals. Animals overall seems to get a great care. One thing tho, I really dont like how they "care" for rabbits! Im an owner of the rabbit fo over 12 years and the care they get at zoo is absolutely inadequate. They should do afoption program for them there. But real and seriouse one, maybe to partner with shelter, etc... And I do belive the seals need a much bigger pool. Also I wish the owner could participate with nice coffee shops and spread them around the territory. So people can have wariety of options. Also I do belive place can benefit from more programs like : buy a steak for Lion, or buy some food for animal of choice and you can see him fed by our stuff at certain hours. Thats will bring more money and more returned visitors and more visitors in general. We have annual path. Its amazing park otherwise to come to.

Very nice organized zoo close to Athens, very close to the airport. It has a large variety of exhibits. The dolphins pool is unique, I have never seen that kind of activity in a zoo. The Asian elephants are great. The butterflies area is also very nice. Has a lot of spots to seat, with plenty of shadow. The crew was very helpful, the place well maintained, and not crowded.

We really enjoyed our visit, so much we stayed 6 hours! If you have young kids, renting a trolley is worth it as there is obviously a lot of walking. Regardless of what you think of zoos, the zoo is clean, animals seem healthy and happy and it’s a great educational environment for children to learn to respect the planet and the animal kingdom. A fantastic day out!

It was a wonderful experience, especially the Lemurian therapy :)) ! There is great variety of animals and they are very well taken care of. The trail is beautiful with trees and greenery. We spent aroud 3h but you need around 4h-4:30h to see everything.

Amazing experience for my little boy 💙 I know he won't remember today's activities but he enjoyed it the most, so we decided it's good for his brain development to repeat this activity every year until he is old enough to create meaningful memories with his family 😁 until next time then!!!

I can't say enough good things about this zoo. It's clear from the moment you walk in that the staff genuinely cares about the animals and their well-being. Every animal looked incredibly well-maintained, healthy, and clean. The enclosures are spacious and meticulously looked after, providing a great environment for the animals. Beyond the animals, the entire zoo was spotlessly clean and well-arranged. The pathways were clear, the landscaping was beautiful, and it was easy to navigate from one exhibit to another. It made for a very pleasant and enjoyable day.

The Athens Zoo is a true oasis of joy for animal lovers. The fact that you don’t have to wait in long lines and can even enter certain areas to feed the animals makes the experience truly wonderful. It’s a beautiful, relaxing place filled with special moments.

It's a beautiful temple, which I highly recommend visiting to learn about its historical significance. It's one of the three temples in the "Sacred Triangle." Admission is 10 euros and also gives you access to the museum.

Beautifully maintained Temple of the Goddess Aphaia, a mysterious figure local to Aegina and sometimes Crete. Pausanias (2nd c. CE) records that the Aeginetans called Britomartis “Aphaia. The Temple is really well-preserved and maintained. Admission is 10 Euro. Go early in the morning to avoid the buses and crowds. Taxis do go up here.

I like to call this island pistachio island. Everywhere you go including the beautiful temple of Aphaia are pistachios. Beautiful views and I would love to go here in the evening to take in the view of Athens. Amazing views.

A must-see if you’re visiting Aegina! The Temple of Aphaia is beautifully preserved and stands on a hill with an absolutely stunning view over the sea and even the mainland on a clear day. It’s quiet, peaceful, and feels very authentic compared to the crowded sites in Athens. Totally worth the 20-minute ride from the main port — it gives a real sense of ancient Greece. And after your visit, don’t miss grabbing a pistachio ice cream from the little shop right next to the site — Aegina’s specialty and the perfect way to end the visit!

It was okay. Maybe a lot better if we didn't walk a mile straight up to get there. Ruins with a small tourist store. Interesting information tables throughout. Lots of cats roaming around begging for food. Cost $10 euros to explore site. Very nice view from the top. Several tour busses were visiting at the same time as we were there.

Temple of Aphasia is a truly lovely place! Beautiful atmosphere, welcoming staff, and a serene vibe. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and inspiring experience.

It is a beautiful ancient temple well preserved. I don't know about the entrance cost because EU citizens under 25 have free entrance upon showing their ID. Highly recommend

A hidden gem for sure - more of a beach club than we were expecting but it’s very relaxed with a great array of amenities (showers, bar, restaurant). It’s a beautiful setting and the doctor fish were a great add to the experience. Staff aren’t the most welcoming or attentive but the food was tasty. Would recommend!

Had a wonderful time at the lake today, we got there for about 11-11.30 (via metro and bus, took an hour) and queued for 10 minutes. Didn’t ask for student identification and we easily managed to get two sunbeds as there was still many available. It was lovely vibe. Foods quite pricey for small portions and not a lot of vegetarian options, just tomato basil pasta or margherita pizza as the two hot mains. We spent a few hours here, loved the fish. Water was SO salty! Not seen anyone else post about how salty it was, suprised me a lot! The lake was pretty cold despite it saying 25 degrees but fair enough. Changing facilities were good. Only two cubicles for female toilets though which surprised me. I enjoyed the experience as a whole!

This place is just suuuuper cool👍👍 Enjoyed it just a to the beginning of March, sunny weather. Sun is very warm, but not burning, temperature in the lake is very refreshing. Lake is surrounded by the high rocks, so there is no wind there, just a smooth breeze.All what you need on weekend!! and it is very close to Athens 👍

Absolutely great idea to visit this lake. Come early as the sunbeds get occupied pretty fast by lunch time. No sunscreen allowed into the water, which is perfect in my opinion. Food and drinka available as well as wheelchair access.

This is a spectacular lake and chill beach club. It is such great spot to spend the day but the bad service of the staff there really let it down. I visited in June 2024 and had a wonderful experience in a cabana with my family. I even wrote an 3-page feature article about the Athens Riviera mentioning it and Abraovato for Robb Report ANZ where I was the assistant editor at the time. This year my visit today was still beautiful but the service was underwhelming. There was a mix up with my booking on the door which resulted in the blonde female manager in charge being very rude to on the door acting aggressively from the start. Then after settling down to read in our pre-booked lounge chairs for 50 euro (not what we thought wee were getting really) we ordered mineral water and coffee and decided to make the most of where we were seated. But after our first swim we were then surrounded by two male lifeguards, a swarthy and loud old male pool cleaner, and another two older male service people who gossiped very loudly right behind us for over 25 -30 minutes which made me very uncomfortable and made it hard to concentrate on drawing and reading (let alone sleeping which would have been nice). I didn't come to the beach club to sit around with a bunch of strange men who were supposed to be working and weren't. Every time i turned around they were staring at me. The place was pretty empty so we asked to please be moved to a quieter spot and we did move to some chairs right around the back of the lake where we continued reading and sketching the lake. We ordered a salad and a cocktail and moved all our own stuff to some new sun beds that were just in the sun. Again empty beds around us for as far as the eye could see Then we were getting prepared to relax when the blonde female manager came back over and told us we had to pay another 60 euro to stay on the sunbeds. So instead of staying until 6.00pm and eating and drinking as we had intended and having a snooze there went to the One &Only for lunch in Glyfada where the service, pool and bar is impeccable. This beach club could have made our stay so pleasant and enjoyable and the unprofessional staff really let it down. Had they offered us an upgrade to start with and some good service we could have had a great time. I have told so many people about this place and now I will not continue to because there is a nasty attitude in the staff that is truly inexplicable.

Everything is great. But look on this toilets.??? 17 euros entrance ticket and you can not fix it. You can see a neighbor in another cabin from the hole in that plastic cover. The door is not closing and the button with a mechanism outside

Very beautiful place. But the staff ist handeling und the equipment during opening houers in the afternoon which is very noisy and disturbing. They even take your chairs away you pay for and put yor stuff somewhere else 2h before closing. If one charges about 40 EUR entrance fee clarly wrong.

I think this is the best beach in Poros island. Trees provide shade and environment up to where the water starts. It is organised and you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds. Food and drinks are also available with prices the same like elsewhere. If you wish a good spot it is advisable to go as early as 10 o'clock in the morning.

Extremely disappointing experience. The staff was shockingly rude, the worst treatment we've received in 15 years of visiting beaches in Greece. Poor service, zero hospitality. Definitely not the Greek welcome we’re used to. Would not recommend.

The bay is absolutely gorgeous - crazy clear green waters, lots of fish to observe. This is unfortunately shadowed by poor customer service from there staff and over inflated prices for sunbeds. The staff is eager for money that they invoke some non-existing law that they cannot keep your already paid sunbed for more than 30 minutes. The worst customer experience ever in Greece.

Nice water, nice beach, but the services leave a lot to be desired. In the pure Greek commercial spirit, you pay 20 euros for a lounger, but if you leave more than 30 minutes because you don't want to eat extra lunch from them, you've lost your seats. And that wouldn't even be the problem, but the fact that this "rule" is not posted anywhere or communicated in advance...just Greece ;)

It is a petite cute beach that is excellent for quiet relaxing time. The bay is surrounded by deep vegetation which ensured its privacy. That is how the name came. It is very popular with couples or even people who prefers quiet calm environment. The water is sea green, clear. The sand is a little red to brown but sandy. The bay water is also calm enough, making it a perfect place for holidays and romantic outings. A narrow road surrounds the bay, but there is not much traffic in it. The bay has shower and drinking facilities.

Nice little beach with catch name. The waters look nice from above, but when you get in, you'll realize they are pretty muddy. OK for 1 time but it wouldn't be my favorite beach. The beach bar offer some sunbeds but at full season it's very very crowded.

It was my long walk on New Year's day, came all the way from the port that's downtown Poros & it was absolutely stunning! No wonder it's crowded in the summer, there were others enjoing a little picnic on the same day, such a quiet lovely place with crystal clear waters, looking forward to visiting again in the summer!

Beautiful sandy beach with a few rocks here and there. There were umbrellas available for free and we enjoyed our time there. Perfect if you're staying at Askeli.

After a hard and hot days walking we needed to relax😁 Askelli beach is near to our studio so decided to head there😁🇬🇷 Very nice sun beds and umbrellas and even found a bit of shade 😁 €15 for two beds 😁🇬🇷 Nice bar area. Very good toilets and changing areas😁🇬🇷 A few pebbles and into the sea. No complaints😁 Didn’t eat but had two nice iced coffee ☕️ Convenient for us but also worth walking to 😁🇬🇷 Some good music 🎵 playing too😁🇬🇷 Will go again. Recommended 😁🇬🇷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Really beautiful beach 😍 the coast is sandy, seawater is clean. This place isn’t crowded ( in the middle of June) I was missing the bar and coffee shop or tavernas therefore only four stars for me…( this place is so far the supermarket and any possible of buying) If you want you can get a sunbed as well.

The beach is really good, in the beginning starting at the golden hotel don't have rocks many rocks and the umbrellas are for free. If you go bit more to the left is where the rocky part starts but if you have watershoes is just fine! Enjoy and have fun !

Went there on a mid-sunny May afternoon. Definitely not overcrowded (maybe due to the time period) but a very nice and picturesque beach! Sand was clean enough to lay down with your towel and the sea was also very clear and clean! 4 stars just because it lacks of amenities such as bars, umbrellas etc.

Water is abit cold today as is quite windy in September , we got a spot right on the rocky beach , is not sandy so is quite a feet massage to go thru that for a swim. we got our set of lounge seat from the nearby restaurant , Askeli . 12€ a day for the set of two. Price reasonable I reckon , and you can order drinks and snack to be serve. overall the staff are very friendly. Beach is not full at all, so is kind of peaceful and we enjoyed it very much

Such a great experience!😍 Instructors Stefanos and Kosras did their best for my education and training so I could feel myself comfortable under the water...right after the first lesson I became a confident diver and without any fear dived with others. Strongly recommend this school for everyone who always wanted to start but had some doubts - here you'll be in reliable and professional hans. The world of diving really worth it!!!😉👍

It was wonderful!! It was our first time, and although we were nervous at first, the instructors helped us with everything and made it easy! It was totally worth it. Beautiful experience. Highly recommend :)

I found this dive center purely by chance while looking for safety equipment to have on board. We found the door closed, but there was a contact phone number. We called and spoke with Stefanos, who explained all the features of the equipment we needed, which he delivered two days later. Everything was of top quality. Stefanos then invited us to do a test dive with the equipment, but unfortunately, we didn’t have the time available. A month later, we had to make a technical stop at Olympic Marina and got back in touch with Stefanos. We did two excellent dives, followed by an iced espresso. In addition to being a great instructor, Stefanos could also make a great barista. If you enjoy diving or want to try it and happen to pass through Lavrio, don’t miss the chance to visit this Dive Center.

5 stars with a tone at Planet Blue Diving Center. Stefanos is a truly professional trainer. Always patient, always explanatory, never tiring to repeat and answer questions to make sure you have absorbed the necessary knowledge. Prioritizing safety and always with a lot of humor, keep it up!!!👍

Perfect experience! Stefanos and Zac were amazing instructors and made our first scuba diving experience just perfect.

Eu 25 for pair of loungers which is a fair price and they were reasonably comfortable. People say it is quiet but they fired up a noisy generator after we arrived and it stayed on all day. You can’t seem to escape noise these days, I was eventually able to tune it out but I would not call it quiet for that reason. The ride there and back was very pleasant. What I liked most was that there was plenty of shade under the trees available which is great if you enjoy a sea veiw without being fried. To the owners: You probably don’t notice the generator noise anymore but we visitors looking for peace and quiet do. You can buy much quieter generators these days. Lady in charge was freindly.

The best beach on Hydra we've visited so far! According to Google Maps and comments, reachable only by boats (17€ per person both ways, leaving usually at full hours), however (if to believe the sign on the beach) you can try hiking (if you have about 5 hours to spare). An enchanting beach, hard to compare to others on the island - with its trees generously offering their shadow and the rocks and caves creating a wonderful snorkelling experience. The bar, toilet and some trash a bit deeper in the island, way less picturesque, take you a bit back to Earth... The beach is quite crowded, but still gives the feelings of intimacy and being secluded. Would advise to pack your favourite food and spend a whole day there

My favourite beach on Hydra. €17 for return boat from the port, €10 for 1x umbrella & single bed (assume double for x2). Small bar for drinks/food but nothing stopping you from taking your own for the day. Smaller and quieter than St Nicholas which is why I preferred. Pebbly so bring sea shoes if poss but I managed without. Be sure to get the first boat @ 10.30am in high season so that you are first on the beach and have your pick of seating.

A lovely pebble beach with plenty of shade from trees and sunbed sets where you can feel at one with nature. Pristine waters and nice for a little snorkel. Best to go on the 10.30 am boat there in peak season to secure a preferred spot. Regular boat trips from Hydra Port, but you sort of have to make a day of it as the first return trip is at 4 pm - of note if you are time limited. Reasonable snack bar (fruit or Greek salad, simple toast or sandwich and refreshments, and some beer/wine, but nothing fancy). You can also walk to a church with nice views.

By far the best beach on the island! €15 per person for the boat ride to get there and back, which you can catch from the main port. €15 for 2 sunbeds and umbrella - we stayed there all day! Quiet, clean, crystal clear waters and the forest backdrop. Take some snacks and enjoy!

Such an amazing beach!! Really nice and quiet. You can rent a lounge for the day, we had 3 lounges for 38 euro. There’s a little kiosk with snacks and drinks. My favourite beach on hydra so far

Very cool beach! 20 euro round trip boat ride from Hydra port to get to Nikolaos beach. The beach was rocky and had great seating/umbrellas, a cute shack for food/drinks, and small bathroom. No large permanent building. Very quiet cove for swimming. We bought snorkels in town and enjoyed seeing all the fish in the cove.

Beautiful and quiet spot with warm water with colorful fish and octopuses. If you would like to take a break from lovely swimming spots in the town take a boat ride to this beach. It is 20 min. by taxi boat.

My favorite beach in Hydra. You can come here by boat. Boat tickets 20€ /2025 sunbed I think 35€ 2 beds. I kerp this price expensive when you travel alone because you must pay from 2 beds even you need one bed. 30-40 min by boat from Hydra port.

In a word, one of the most beautiful seas I’ve ever swum in. We visited in mid-September and it was very peaceful—calm, with crystal-clear turquoise water and an amazing variety of fish🐠🐟 There’s a small snack bar with food and drinks available. Definitely recommended for a really enjoyable day! 🩵🩵

Pebble beach, no shower, disgusting outdoor toilet and awful food. 20€ per person for the boat taxi, 20€ each sunbed, 17€ for a sad looking club sandwich with potato chips from a bag. Worst thing I ever ate in Greece. 3 stars for the beautiful scenery and ocean. We will never return.

The trip was about an hour and a half from where i'm staying.But after you get out of the hustle and bustle, the trip was awesome. A lot of places you could pull over and take pictures or just pull over and go down to the shore. The temple itself was twenty euros, which seemed kind of high.But I did have a good time and got plenty of pictures.

The temple is beautiful, but the tickets are a little expensive for how much time you can actually spend here. This is definitely one of the best places you can watch the sunset from, though. We went on a semi-cloudy day, and even then the sunset was stunning. There is also a cafe that is nice to take some time to relax at, since if you're staying in Athens it is a bit of a drive.

A beautiful place in itself, but the unjustifiably high price of €20 made us turn back and take a free walk in another part of the peninsula, where the views were just as breathtaking. Is the price of watching the sunset — even next to such a stunning temple — really comparable to the entrance fee for Mycenae, Corinth, or Epidaurus, where, in addition to the ruins, you also visit a museum and get a wealth of information? A highly promoted tourist spot — deservedly so for its amazing views, but not for its price.

Well worth the visit. Beautiful spot for sunset or sunrise just pity cant buy tickets in advance and so creates lenghty lines to get in . One desk to buy tickets . Bathrooms another long line for ladies especialy.

This place is just magical during sunset.🌄 It was actually raining when we got there and just before the sunset at 18:30, the weather turned. There was also a beautiful rainbow🌈 Don't buy tickets in advance due to weather conditions, so just buy on the spot.

Visiting the Temple of Poseidon was an unforgettable experience. The temple itself is truly majestic, standing tall for more than 2,000 to 3,000 years and offering a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient Greek history. The surrounding sea views are breathtaking, and when combined with the temple’s presence, it feels almost magical. The highlight of the visit was without doubt the sunset. It is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, with the colors reflecting over the Aegean Sea and the temple glowing in the evening light. The road leading to the temple was also a wonderful part of the journey, with scenic views all along the way. A must-visit when in Greece! 🌅🏛️

The temple on the edge of the sea is a magnificent view. It's definitely worth it to visit. It's not so hard to get to there from Athens with the public transport. You can take the bus to Sunion which cost only 6.20 euros in direction. We took it from the Singrou-fix at around 11 o'clock. The trip to there takes around two hours and the road is very beautiful by the sea. The entrance ticket is 20 euros. There is coffee/restaurant there. The bus will drop you off right to the entrance of the temple.

A must go place in Milos. Better visit it in the morning with better sunlight and lesser people. Highly recommended to wear water shoes for easy walking and getting back to shores after swimming. Water is quite cold in October

Went here twice during our weeklong visit to Milos! This place is out of this world — definitely one of my favorite watering holes ever. I’d recommend going for sunrise or sunset to avoid the crowds.

Words can not describe this place. It’s like being on the moon. While rock formations with crystal clear water & natural caves formation all around. Cliff jumping as well at this location.

I didn’t quite u destined this is not accessible by a car or a buggy and drove all the way out to see it only to find a single track hiking trail. I guess I should have researched this better. The road to get to it is pretty rough as it is first a paved road and then a dirt road. Then it gets pretty rough and then to find out I don’t get to see without hiking was disappointing. Next time I come to see the island I will arrange a boat tour to see this!

A boat trip to Kleftiko is an absolute must-do while visiting Milos. We did a catamaran trip with Polco Sailing and it was one of the best days we had in Greece. The water is clear and warm, the history of the area is so interesting, and the rock formations are stunning.

Really the best way to get here is through a boat tour. I went with a great group. The waters were clear and fairly calm. Since it's October it was fairly chilly but the sun was shining so the cool water was welcome.

Beautiful spot in Milos that can only be reached by boat. Enjoyed anchoring and spending the afternoon there, swimming, and taking in the beauty of the rock formations

go by car and then walk on the designated road, I assume that 90% of the length of the car road is better quality than anywhere else on the island. We went with a Fiat Panda without any problems. When we arrived on foot at the shore, the boat tourers were surprised how we got there on foot...

Absolutely stunning! My husband and I made the hike down and brought our goggles with us. We were able to swim to the caves and have a great snorkeling experience, as well as comfortably relax on in the private rock area at the end of the hike. Definitely recommend!

Nice beach with clear water and sand starting from the cliff. For us it was a great option after a visit to Tsigrado beach. Overall it is nice but closer to other beaches you find in many different places around the world.

best beach on Milos island. You can easily hire kayak in case of no wind and reach Tsigrado within 10 minutes.

The only sharks here are the ones offering to rent beach chairs for €20. Shame on them!

Some people said that it was the most beautiful beach in Milos, and though it was magnificent, I just found other beaches to be better. But definitely a must visit in Milos

The water is beautiful but unfortunately the beach club is playing very load EDM music with strong bass that spread all over the beach so it is not relaxing at alö. Also there is no toilet at all on this beach nor the beach club. The service at the beach club is very poor, no waiting list and waiters randomly attributing longchairs or even prioritising their friends.

Very beautiful beach! Now (Jun-July) the climate can be very hard, with moments of overwhelming hot interrupted with strong wind blows that break and blow off your umbrella (and cover you a bit on sand, as it’s very fine). Sand is clean. Recommend a kayak trip from here from the beach itself. A nice natural arch made by a rock with a crack in between, where you can swim throughout. With low wind the sea is calm and not much sand in suspension in the water: the sea is a swimming pool on these conditions, absolutely amazing. Bring your own beers, as the new bar on the beach is extremely expensive.

Really nice beach especially during the sunset is very romantic. The water is very clean but is possible to find a lot of people here.anyway the beach deserve the visit. It is mandatory.

Great little treat at the end of the day after our visit to the waterpark. Paid for the 2 session deal with break, could switch over the children in a two seater go kart! They loved the experience, track was patchy in places, but good safety video and competent staff at the site. Good facilities and bar for spectators and then opportunity to get nearer the track downstairs.

A must visit for those who love to trigger their adrenaline! The challenge to obtain the best lap time makes this event thrilling! I would surely revisit if I come to Chania again. The staff are very nice, polite and helpful, making the whole event an excellent one! Don't miss! Children above 6yrs can use the carts. Younger children can stay on a two seater cart with an adult. So this is actually for everyone to enjoy! Highly recommended!

Pista Park is an absolute must-visit for go-kart lovers! The track is well-maintained, exciting, and offers just the right mix of speed and challenge. Everything was well-organized, and the atmosphere was fantastic. A special mention goes to Babis, our driver and guide, who was incredibly friendly, professional, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. His warm attitude and helpfulness really stood out and left a great impression. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun, adrenaline-filled day!

Great experience and really good fun. Dad and lad session - we booked for three ten minute races. Excellent technology and atmosphere. Not cheap but worth it for the fun. We went early evening and it was busy but good as there were more people to race.

We raced in the 270 CC carts, gold category. The track is fantastic and the karts are amazing fun. They go really fast on the straights and it’s a challenging circuit. The staff are all really friendly and it’s really well managed, can’t wait to come back!

The track is perfect, it have angle, its fast, 400cc going over 90km/h, also you have 270cc little bit slower but also fast!!! FIA APPROVED TRACK!!! Very polite and good race staff!! 10/10!

It was a great experience if you’re on Crete and want to go snorkeling or even diving! The crew was amazing and very helpful, my husband and I had a lot of fun! Due to the weather conditions the crew had to change their plans a lot, but they found some places where we could go explore some ruins! Also the guides took some videos and pictures of every one and send it per Mail. Definitely worth it and fun!

Professional team, Ed & Bonnie ❤️ Elephant cave was one of the best dives of my life, it's an underwater-entrance stalagmites&stalagtites cave with a big, breathable air pocket inside. it's pitch black so they provide torches. the dive is not technical but requires bouancy control to some extent. There was a rumor running around of seals in the cave, but both Ed&Bonnie said they never saw them. Untill this dive, man this was super exciting! the seal was swimming right next to us!!! everyone was ecstatic and thrilled. super memorable moment. also super affordable for 130€, including everything. the boat travel was pretty short with a very good skipper, both dives were at the same location. they called us at 9am to measure the suites and all the gear, and by 13:30 we were back at the club, logging the dives. What an experience, could not have been any better.

We did two dives and both were fantastic. One on the reef in front of the elephant cave and one in the cave. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and I felt very safe even though it was my first dive in open water. The briefing was clear and understandable. In the Elephant Cave you can surface to admire the stalactites and the guide also told us about the history of the cave. I can really recommend Omega Divers!

We had a wonderful day snorkeling, floating and paddle boarding with Brenna! She was a great guide and a lot of fun! We highly recommend this snorkeling trip !

One of the best dive centers in Greece! A fantastic, friendly, and professional crew takes excellent care of their guests! My nephew and I intended to do the Elephant Cave, but due to limited space, we couldn't get on the schedule when we were available to dive, so we opted for the wreck dive. Dive center staff, captain, and dive master were all fantastic! Both sites were great! Amazing scenery! Unfortunately, no pics due to my dead camera that got turned on in my bag on my long drive to the center. Next time!

Very beautiful. We stayed at Loutro and took the boat taxi for 2 hours to Sweet Water Beach. We did some snorkeling which was pretty, however the gasoline from the boats make the snorkeling a bit annoying. Not many fish out there. Watch out for the lamb as they come for the food.

The beach is good and it’s not super popular. It can be accessed either by a hike (25-30 mins) or by a boat. There were not so many people coming by boat in the beginning of September so overall by 12:00 there were probably ~30-40 people overall on the beach (and the beach is pretty long). Part of the beach closer to Sfakia is taken by nudists. What is pretty unfortunate is that a large part of the beach is closed by a fence with tables that forbid camping there (likely due to risk of falling rocks). The set of two sunbeds and an umbrella costs 10 euro and you must pay to the owner of trattoria who pretty much took over the beach. It is possible to just lay on your towels but there is not so much space and most of the space in the shadow of the mountains/trees is closed with the fence (first tile I have seen it). Either this is a beach with a very high risk of stones falling down, or the owner of the sunbeds wants to maximise the profit. The water was pretty clear although there was a lot of garbage like tyres on the bottom of the sea. The beach itself is not very picturesque. There is a free shower. Overall it might be worth a 1-1.5h ride because the hike to the beach is beautiful but definitely this should not be your top priority to visit if you are based far away

Perfect. We areived with the boat, there are seats and shadow, a bar where dribk and eat.

Beautiful secluded beach that’s well worth a visit! You can get there by ferry, but we parked at the start of the trail and walked down. Park by the road and take some trainers or hiking shoes because the path is quite rocky. It isn’t a difficult hike but go slowly as parts of it is quite steep and you walk along the cliff. It’s about 30 minutes down to the beach. As you finish the trail, you enter the nudist side of the beach but keep walking towards Mermaid Bar at the other end and you can sit on some sun loungers away from the nudist half. Beware of the goats if you have food in your bag, we were confronted by a pretty aggressively hungry goat who chased me and my bag of food around the beach! The stones are very hot so take flip flops to walk to the sea and enjoy the crystal clear water!

A little piece of heaven hidden in a cove. Crystal clear turquoise waters. Complete serenity and calm. Only a couple dozen umbrella settings or so. You can only get here by boat or tracking a relatively easy but still very rocky trail for about 20 mins. Boats run several times a day and will offer a taxi service to drive you up to where you parked your car. Part of the beach is clothing optional.

Very nice beach, easy to spend the whole day here with a good book, we parked at the top and made our way down on foot rather than take the boat. It is best you take a pair of trainers of walking boots with you for the hike down and plenty of water. On the beach you'll find a boat, here you can purchase refreshments and food if you don't take your own. We spent the entire day here, water is lovely, nudist beach on the left hand side of the beach.

If you find a ring on this beach please bring it to the floating cafe/tavern. The owner lost it and is looking for it with a metal detector 😞. The beach is also nice.

I made my OWD at Atlantis diving center with Giorgos 29 years ago (in 1996) and I was amazed by his style and perfection. He made me love diving for my life. Yesterday we met again and I had the pleasure to dive with one dive-master of his team: Denis, who showed my fiance and me the same diving spot which evolved sooooooo much since I was there. It was a fantastic day! Maximum recommendation for the Diving Center Atlantis!

Filippos is the best dive instructor I ever met! He does it really seriously and with heart and passion. It‘s every year a pleasure to dive with him since 13 years ! I get my AOWD, Nitrox, Deep Diver and Night diver licenses. I can totally recommend this diving center!!! It is a family company since decades and the diving spots are awesome.

Six years ago, I got my OWD certification at Atlantis Dive Center on Crete. I immediately felt at home and had a wonderful time with the team. Now I was finally back on Crete and had to seize the opportunity to dive with you again. Even though the last time was six years ago, I was recognized, which I hoped but didn't expect. The dives were, of course, a wonderful experience once again; the highlight was the Caretta Caretta, which came incredibly close to us. See you next time, and hopefully sooner than in six years!

Myself and my wife are former diving instructors but had not dived in 16 years. We did a couple of fun dives with Atlantis. Our 12 year old son did his first dives with them and absolutely loved it. ( Maybe a future diving instructor in the making!!) The night dive was the highlight of my holiday. Many thanks to Filipp, Dennis and all the staff there. I did the DSD so it was my first dive experience ever and it was so amazing! There is a whole underwater wonderland down there with so many colours and animals! Everyone should see this with their own eyes! Denis is the most patient and amazing instructor who made the experience pure fun! I really recommend diving with him!
