Viewpoint Snøhetta is a stunning architectural marvel made of rippled timber and mirrored glass, serving as an educational center and observation point commissioned by the Wild Reindeer Foundation. It offers breathtaking views of the valley and Mt. Snøhetta, accessible via a gentle 1.5km walk from the car park along a gravel trail off the E6 by Hjerkinn.
The viewpoint is an excellent example of how great architecture can integrate to nature and enhance the experience. 1,5 kilometer from the parking lot this beautiful shelter is placed. Its raw exterior blends naturally into the landscape and the warm and welcoming organic interior embraces the visitor. The warm fire in the fireplace just adds to the experience. The walk is easy with a gravel covered wide path. Do not get intimidated by all the Norwegians in the parking lot dressing up in fancy trekking gear. You can easily manage in normal warm clothes and a pair of sneakers. Because of the high altitude it will be chilly, even in the middle of summer so bring something warm. shorts and t-shirts will not be enough. The view from the top is spectacular and well worth the effort. local guides even installed a camera when we were there to offer a view of the wild bisons in the area.

Fantastic viewpoint Qe walked from the train station via the parking to the viewpoint We thought it would be easy, but we nearly defeated by the wind You have wind, storm and snøhetta Unbelievable We read about it in other reviews be were still overwhelmed The view is great An oasis without wind The design of the viewpoint is flabbergasting Compliments to the architect Don’t forget to take pictures from the outside (including the big windows) when starting your decent Enjoy

Great experience.. you have to park car and walk just around 1 and half km . It’s not that difficult way. 🥾 🫧🧚🏻‍♂️

Simple walk to viewpoint. Viewpoint itself is beautiful! And the view is amazing. There was a park ranger present to answer questions. She also had her binocular pointed to an ox, and everyone was invited to see it. Very helpful, great experience
Maarten V — Google review
It's a very pleasant walks to go there from the parking area. The viewpoint is nicely placed and it's an indoor venue. They actually have a fireplace there, so it's quite warm inside. Beside the reindeer watch, I was also listening to the guide from reindeer conservation institution I guess. And the explanation was very informative, interesting and well delivered.

Truly breathtaking encounter of nature and architecture! Great work Snøhetta! And you can see the mountain Snøhetta through the big glass screens! Amazing!

The toll for the Hjerkinn-Tverrfjellet road to access this location is 49.59 SEK. My car is registered in Sweden, and I automatically settle all my tolls in Norway through Epass24. Despite this, a month and a half after my visit, I received an invoice for 348.35 SEK, which included a collection fee. All foreign visitors should know this, and I absolutely do not recommend visiting this place.

(Translated by Google) For me one of the most beautiful roads in Norway! Shortly behind Sunndalsöra the route takes spectacular serpentines up to the plateau, then along lakes (still frozen in mid-June) through beautiful mountain landscapes. The traffic was very limited, we hit maybe 5 cars. Because we were so "early" in the year, the journey was also pleasantly adventurous; there was still centimeter-thick, bare ice in the small tunnel and at the other end there was still meter-deep snow next to the road. In the evening it was bitterly cold and it snowed lightly. Freestanding with the camper is no problem, there are spaces on every corner. The road (toll approx. 10 EUR) is not asphalted, but is in good condition and can be used by any car (our MB Sprinter). I wouldn't go up there with very large/long motorhomes and caravan trailers, as there are some pretty narrow places and hairpin bends.

Drove in August 2025. I don't understand high rating. I was looking for some cool, less crowded and a bit off beaten track road in Norway so I went there hoping that all reviews claiming that it is so great, the best in the world, hardcore and only for experienced drivers were right. But in my opinion they were all wrong. The road is ok but there are so many better random roads in Norway (or elsewhere). The road is perhaps quite nice in the beginning and at the end. The middle is simply boring and yet you have to drive this boring gravel 30kmh or so for ~2h (7m camper). It is not very much hardcore or for very experienced drivers as well. The gravel is bumpy sometimes but it is nothing comparing to some Mediterranean islands gravels that everyone drive to get to the beach. There are so much more hardcore roads in other rural places too. So all in all if this is in the way then perhaps you can drive it if you are fine with very boring middle. No point going detour to get on this road. In addition to all other people saying about nature, wild views etc., there are always some electricity cables in the background when you drive it.

Troll Wall, known as Europe's tallest rock face, is a breathtaking natural wonder surrounded by rugged peaks. A visit here is enhanced by the scenic Rauma Railway ride, which offers stunning views of the Trollveggen cliff and Kylling bridge while providing informative commentary in multiple languages. The area boasts a visitor center and café for refreshments after exploring nearby trails. Whether shrouded in mist or basking in sunlight, the wall's imposing presence captivates all who see it.
Such aggressive mountains, its like the Peaks are shouting at you from the ground. No photo or video could replicate the breathtaking view.

Photos will never show thr true beauty of this place. It is one of the most stunning places I saw in my life. Was worth to spend a few hours in a car to see it.
Krzysztof J — Google review
Amazing attraction. Don't rush while driving up and down the road, just enjoy the scenery. If you visit early in the day and it is foggy, take a trip through Romsdalen, Øverdalen or Eiksdalen and return to Trollveggen in the afternoon, because it will most likely have cleared up and the view will be astonishing. In the middle of Trollveggen there is a large waterfall running through, this ends up in a river going through the forrest which runs along the road that leads to all the winding roads and hairpins. The forrest has different hiking paths that takes you all the way up to the top of Trollveggen.
Lars — Google review
Definitely worth a stop if you’re traveling by. Nice little visitor center at the bottom, most of the stuff sold there is the usual tourist junk. But the wall itself is just amazing. We were unlucky this time, but even with clouds it looks massive. Quite some people died there climbing or basejumping over the years, so it’s not an easy mountain.

We stopped in for lunch on a road trip and it was such a lovely experience to eat here. the food was terrific and we shared a waffle for dessert. The view from the windows was amazing. It was too cold to sit out on the balcony but we really appreciated the design of the building and facing out towards the landscape.

A wonderful place! There is parking, the waterfall is just a stone's throw away, and the waterfall is really spectacular. Also a very good souvenir shop with a great selection

Lovely little stop with views of a roaring set of cascades and falls. This very much reminded me of Athabasca Falls in Jasper National Park Canada although this is not nearly as large. The same furious waters and sure death if you fall in were the same though. There were a couple of rough walkways to differing viewpoints, some of which were not walkways so much as tracks past travelers had made.

(Translated by Google) Visited Vågå Church on a lovely autumn day with the morning sun which really lifted the fine church from its best side. Vågå church is a half-timbered cruciform church from the 1620s. There was previously a medieval stave church on the site and parts of the building materials are from this and perhaps from other stave churches in the area. What is interesting to me are the wonderful carved tomb supports in Akanthus. Acanthus is a stylistic and ornamental motif, based on the strongly lobed leaves and marked leaf veins of plants in the acanthus family. The Greeks used the motif from the years 600–500 BCE, in Norway the acanthus motif became common from the 17th century and has been particularly used in rose painting, wood carving and architecture. And the support for Jo Gjende, which is located here in Kleberstein, is of course nicely carved with Akanthu decoration So a trip here is worth the trip both to see the fine church and the wonderful Grave Pillars.

(Translated by Google) Vågåkyrkja as it stands is a cruciform church in heavy half-timbering built in 1628, so not a stave church... But it is no less exciting for that reason! It is rich in church art, old stave church parts (!) and local history! The church has some opening days during the tourist season where you can enter for NOK 50, but there is no problem contacting the church office on e.g. Facebook to enter outside of season/opening hours. Or you can drop by at a church service on a Sunday and hear the beautiful organ! 🤩

These people get it right. Slick organisation without a businessy feel: you feel welcomed into an exciting event in a relaxed way. The Family Rafting trip is very well suited for families without any rafting experience. Smaller children at Sjoa’s lower age limit will enjoy this as well as adults. They throw some water fun into the mix and organise a well rounded event.

The location is beautiful, right on the riverbank of the Sjoa River. The area has numerous hot tubs and an outside bar with a big selection of beer, perfect for relaxing after an exciting day on the water and offering stunning views of the river and nature. With 15 years of paddling experience, I can say this rafting base stands out. The food is delicious, with a variety of options to suit different tastes, and the staff are incredibly friendly and professional. Their knowledge and enthusiasm add to the overall enjoyment. What I appreciate most as a professional guide is that the guides and management are a vital part of the local community, putting safety and happy guests before profit. You can even find a few local paddling legends among the team of guides. The combination of thrilling rapids, excellent facilities, and warm hospitality makes this rafting base an unforgettable destination. It’s a fantastic place to experience the excitement of rafting while enjoying the comforts of a welcoming base.

Had an amazing few days here rafting & camping. It is a beautiful spot and the rafting team and staff on site are all super friendly. Shout out to Schrodi who captained us down the river safely & Armon who looked after us on site. One of our favourite memories of Norway.

This place is awesome! Staff represents a fun funky mix of nationalities and personalities coming together to make for an incredible experience for their customers. Love the cabin feel and flow through the facilities. Fun signage throughout adds to the appeal. Ample facilities for parking, storage of personal items and changing. Given the amount of wet suits in the changing rooms, the only down side is the funky odor…. Ew. The team makes a point of safety first and takes it very seriously from the wet suits to life jacket to multiple safety briefings to bringing along a medical dry bag in case of emergencies. Such fun people leading the rafts and they truly play to the crowd steering adventurous groups into the real white water and more timid groups through the (boring) flat stuff. Definitely a work out but nothing a reasonably fit person couldn’t handle. Our rafting adventure included a delicious, huge and body warming lunch. We had a soup with a mix of veggies and meats along with a huge assortment of breads and rolls with butter. So delicious.

This place is Awesome, i did 2 great rafting tours with good instructors. Everyone on the staff was very kind and in for a laugh, and even after the rafting was done, it was still a lot of fun, with a good Bonfire and a very nice bar area so easily a 5* rating. If i ever come back to Norway i will most definitely go rafting here again!

An absolute must do!!! I had fantastic time rafting with Ben as our guide. I couldn’t recommend a more professional and fun bloke to take us out rafting. Thanks so much Ben and Sjoa Rafting, I’ll definitely be coming back :))

4th time going for rafting here in Sjoa and as before, it didn't disappoint. Had a great time on the river with my friends during the day and enjoyed good food and drinks in the evening. We slept well in the cozy cabin we rented. The hot tubs by the river was a nice new addition to the whole experience, very relaxing to get into after the rafting! Upgraded facilities since my last visit; they felt really fresh and clean! All of the staff was really friendly and service-minded; even when we had to change our booking on the go. And a special mention goes out to our great guide Pedro who managed to give us some extra excitement by surfing the rapids with the boat several times! We're coming back, for sure!

Absolutely stunning collection of stones, minerals, crystals and fossils. The owners are two professional geolists who devoted their lifes to traveling and looking for them. Now they present and sell some of their finds as well as other goods at their store. The museum entree is free. Such a lovely place and couple!

It's been a few years since I've been there. For me personally, it was an absolutely beautiful place. Many different minerals and semiprecious minerals. A few very nice fossils. And a wonderful part-staff from Sweden :-) Anyway, I bought very well at great prices. I highly recommend.

Protestant church
Sights & Landmarks
Nestled in the charming village of Lom, the Lom Stave Church is a stunning example of medieval architecture that transports you back in time. This wooden marvel features steep roofs and an intricately carved interior dating back to the 18th century, showcasing the unique timber framing techniques characteristic of stave churches.
Nothing better than getting to see this truly beautiful Stave church without people! End of August, late afternoon, no one around. This church is absolutely stunning! Cannot say enough about it. With only 28 Staves left, it’s very special. I think we saw a total of 5 on our trip.

Lom is a verry nice place to stay. It is an old Norwegian town, that has a lot of history. The Church is a verry nice building and worth a visit. Ok to walk around the church, but you have to pay in order to go inside.
Arnstein E — Google review
If you want to visit the church from inside, check the opening hours in advance. There are also some messes happening in the church, if you are interested in those. From the outside, the church is nice, but I still liked the old tombstones the most. You can walk around them as in a park, still enjoying something that's old and has a great historical value.
Jana K — Google review
A truly special place. The staff at the entrance were very kind and welcoming. The church is in excellent condition, and being inside felt deeply spiritual — unlike anything I’m used to from stone cathedrals back home. The wooden construction, the scent of old timber, the slightly faded paint, the chandelier with its own story — it all creates a powerful, hard-to-explain atmosphere. A moving and unique experience, both culturally and emotionally.
Tigran M — Google review
Wonderful stave church! While the entrance fee might be a bit hefty it provides you with the possibility of visiting the church from the inside - which I’d highly recommend. If you’re lucky you also get to join a nice, short guided tour through the building by a very knowledgeable guide. If you were to visit a stave church while in Norway this would be a very good pick.

(Translated by Google) Another place on the map of Norway that you must see 😀 Very interesting, cool and worth seeing. The natural landscape is beautiful and the opportunity to walk... is priceless. Although the entire trip may take up to an hour. And that's the end of the advantages, now the disadvantages... Unfortunately, following the route costs money (which is hard to find in the information guides) for a 2+2 family it costs 180 NOK (a bit much) and the route is not for everyone because you have to go down and up wet and steep rocks and degrees. However, for those curious about what HELL looks like, I recommend it 👍😉 (Original) Kolejne miejsce na mapie Norwegii które trzeba zobaczyć 😀 Bardzo ciekawe, fajne i warte zobaczenia . Krajobraz natury piekny, a możliwość przejścia...bezcenna.

Mountains
Galdhøpiggen, standing at 2469 meters above sea level, is Norway's highest mountain and one of the most popular hikes in the country. The challenging ascent is rewarded with breathtaking views, but it's advised not to hike alone due to the unpredictable mountain weather. Visitors can enjoy refreshments at a coffee place on the summit. Many hikers describe their experiences of reaching the top as awe-inspiring, with perfect weather conditions and stunning visibility.
Excellent hike to highest Norwegian and Scandinavia peak. It is demanding hike up but so worth it. As with all mountain not recommended to go alone. When I reached top did not see much as there was huge fog even though when stared was nice and sunny but weather changed were fast. Will need to return some day for the view. On top of mountain there is coffee place where you can get some refreshments food and drinks.

Easy walk up here from Juvasshytta. Harder and longer from Spiterstulen, about 8 hours round trip. Bring something to slide on the snow on back down. Makes the trip so much more enjoyable. I brought plastic rompeakebrett. Plastic bags will also work.
Håvard ( — Google review
TLDR; My review applies to the trek from Spiterstulen to the summit. The distance from Spiterstulen parking to the summit is a little more than 6 km. There are three summits on the route from Spiterstulen: Svellnos(you can bypass some gradients here but still have to climb 90%) , Keilhaus, and the summit itself. I laboured my way up till Keilhaus, and still the summit was looking far away. I had almost decided to turn back but it was a now-or-never situation. The view from the summit is mesmerizing. I reached there pretty late due to my struggles, hence, couldn't invest much time but I recommend to be there for at least 45 minutes to soak in the experience. I don't prefer to do snow gliding but my knees and legs had given up while descending. I glided through each and every snow patch. My pants and inners got drenched but it was fun !!! I have deducted one star solely due to absence of any wind shelters or huts during the entire trek. Strong winds and rain hit when I descended the last plateau but it was still challenging. A family with 2 kids panicked and were about to call for emergency help. Overall, this was the hardest trek for me till date, but a memorable one. Tips: - Do not attempt unless you are physically fit, and have a good stamina for gradients and slopes. - The trek is an ankle and knee wrecker. Shoes with ankle support, and knee caps recommend. - Start as early as possible, especially if you are unsure about your physical capacity. - Weather can change at a snap - it was sunny most of the day, winds got stronger in the afternoon, and I got battered by rain and winds during the last hour of the descent. Ensure you have clothes that can handle these changes. - Check the information board located at the beginning of the trail. It marks the last point where the drinking water is available. Beyond it, till one reaches the summit, there are no streams(well, one can hear those but cannot use them). - Carry a snow slider that one can place under the bum. It would not only save a lot of time and energy while descending but would also be a fun experience. - Carry snow gloves for a safer snow gliding.
Omkar J — Google review
Galdhøpiggen has incredible views and the hike itself is such an adventure. We didn’t make it all the way up because it started snowing too much, but it was still totally worth it. Just make sure to bring warm clothes — the weather can change fast!

It was my first mountain and reached 945m. It took time because it was really rocky and didnt know how to climb and half time was looking where is trail. Also its really demanding. If you dont see T then take few steps and then you see. Didnt get higher because went late to climb and weather stoped. The most fun part is to go down on snow :).

Besseggen, located in the heart of Jotunheimen National Park, is one of Norway's most renowned hiking destinations. The main highlight is the breathtaking view of Bessvatn lake on one side and Gjende lake on the other. During summer, a boat regularly crosses Lake Gjende to reach the trailhead in Memurubu. This area also boasts Norway's two highest mountains, Galdhopiggen and Glittertind.
Fantastic place to hike ! A great hiking of around 14 km with altitude going up to 1400+ mts above sea level. Also the trails are well marked with directions and wherever needed chain support on rocks are provided. Recommended in the month of August or late July. There is a nice cafe at the ferry boarding place. Nice place to catch some pictures and get insta ready. Because once the hike will start you will forget about pictures and focus on natural beauty instead.

We climbed the magnificent Bessegen Ridge starting from Gjendesheim and completing a route which led us up and along the ridge, then around the Bessvatnet lake and back to Gjendesheim car park. We completed the route during the last week of May 2025, with at least 3/4 of the route fairly heavily covered in snow. Warm clothes and walking boots were required, as there are many sections that require scrambling and pulling yourself over rocks. Due to the presence of snow and ice still on the ridge, it took almost 10 hours to summit and return, but it was worth it to see such a magnificent view from the top and the completely frozen Bessvatnet lake. Much of the route around the lake was snow covered, so we had to forge our own route which significantly slowed progress. Well worth it if you have a reasonable level of fitness and determination.

Took the popular path Memurubu to Gjende hike. Difficult hike but breathtaking experience! Avoid if you have height problems—you literally have to climb on knife’s edge! Camping on the way would be more relaxing. Take plenty of water or fill up on your way from the stream (That’s what I did and still alive, some locals said I shouldn’t as there can be bacterias). Lastly bring your best protein bars and food. Highly recommended! Pro tip: if you miss the last bus to the parking lot ask someone in the shop to drop you off and show your ticket. you might be lucky. Including swimming, breaks, food and sightseeing it took 11 hours for me. So start early and enjoy!
Mehedi H — Google review
Undoubtedly one of the true highlights of our trip to Norway. While we were worried at first reading some of the reviews here, we can safely say that with moderate fitness and adequate preparation you should be able to undertake - and enjoy ! - this unique hike. It took us about 6,5 hours, including stops - taking the early ferry at 8am, meaning we were back in time for the first bus back at 15pm. The first section of the hike was the most challenging for us as it’s constantly uphill for about 1.5 - 2 hours. The actual ridge climb proved to be less straining and scary than initially anticipated. Do make sure you stay focused towards the end of the hike when fatigue might set it: you will face a steep descend back to the ferry terminal where it can get very slippery in case of rainy weather…
Casper B — Google review
One of the most amazing hikes I have ever done. We decided to start the trail in Memuburu, we booked our spots for the ferry and the parking lot/shuffle bus for the earliest morning ferry, I recommend to take this route as it is so much nicer to not worry about getting to the ferry on the way back from the hike. I’m not an experienced hiker, however, I do training (gym mostly) and this was my longest and most technical hike so far, I have to say in terms of views, it exceed my expectations, it was completely wonderful and memorable, we were so lucky with the weather. The hike itself, it is quite technical, very rocky and the way up can be quite tiring. The most challenging parts for me were, the climbing part in order to reach the top, I got quite scared as it is definitely more dramatic than it looked in the pictures/videos specially, for people with fear of heights and also quite long hahah. After the climbing part, it gets a bit better until it get worse, when you’re starting to go downhill, it’s hell hahah, I have bad knees, and I have train and prepare myself for this moment, brought all the gear (hiking poles, knee sleeves, etc ) and that’s usually good enough, but god, it was so long, technical and so much impact on my knees that I almost gave up hahaha. If you have bad knees like me, be aware of this and take your considerations, the way down isn’t tiring itself but it is very hard on your knees. The most memorable views are honestly in the first half of the trip if you start from Memuburu, so take this in consideration for pictures/videos, because when you reach the top after the climbing part you might think the view is even better there but is not hhahah, so, if you don’t want to go the climbing part, you could even just go back after reaching the half and you have seen all the pretty tbh. I would recommend to take this route instead, because the climbing part going downhill would look even scarier 😆 Overall, great experience! Even with super bad knees, I made it on time, 7 hours 40 min, and it was totally worth it, loved this experience 🥰

The most terrifying but thrilling hike/climb I’ve ever done. What an amazing experience! Would highly recommend. I’m not the best climber but have done my fair share of hikes and this I would rate a 7/10 on difficulty. The views. My goodness, the views were absolutely breathtaking. So worth the climb to see the top and the waters below. Cannot wait to come back!
Yusif A — Google review
Its amazing feeling when you reach the top. The ridge is doable and its something new. Its climbing. Its a bit scary if you look but when you do it, its not so bad. You will get more confident and then suddenly you are at the top. Way down is long but intresting.
Sonyeo M — Google review
Amazing view – highly recommend! If you have a fear of heights, I suggest taking the route from Memurubu to Gjendesheim, which means you’ll be climbing up the ridge. Going in the opposite direction—down the ridge—can feel much scarier. The hike is about 14.5–15.5 kilometers from Memurubu to Gjendesheim.

An absolutely beautiful national park which is great, although sometimes challenging, for hiking and camping. The hours shown on maps are for lighter backpacks so plan for longer hikes with heavier pack. Requires some fitness and experience I'd say. Favorite parts of our 7 1/2-day hike was Gjendebu to Memurubu (even though "Bukkelægret" was a challenge) and of course Besseggen.

Sognefjellsvegen, also known as Sognefjellet mountain pass, is a stunning scenic route in Norway. This road takes you from Luster to Lom, offering breathtaking views of fjords, small towns, mountain passes, glaciers, and waterfalls. The highest mountain pass in Norway runs through Jotunheimen with vistas of summits and glaciers. The road is closed in winter but opens around May for summer travel.
Stunning road. Drove it and then the next day cycled it on my road bike. Smooth tarmac, quiet traffic and incredible views. Perfect cycling and driving pass that’s up there with the best.

06.2024/ It was such a beautiful car ride through spectacular and wild landscapes on the roof of Norway. One of the most memorable norwegian scenic routes! The road crosses in Jotunheimen National Park. You have to stop in several scenic view points as you arrive from Lom: Vegaskjelet view point, stop also at Bovertonvatnet lake, after at Nufshaug Scenic ViewPoint and Sognefjellet Viewing Point 1434 m. The last are Nedre Oscarshaug and Fortun Scenic Viewpoint. The road connects Lom and Gaupne and is 108 km in total. It reaches 1434 m altitude and crosses the highest pass in northern Europe. The traffic is not permitted between 8 p.m and 8 a.m. I recommend a sandwich stop at the End of Sognefjorden, at the end of the lake. I wish all of you good weather in order to catch with your eyes the entire beauty of the landscape!

Be very careful here -- this highway closes every night and they have gates on either side that lock you in between 8pm and 8am. Unfortunately they do not have any signs in English that warn people of this closure, so I'm guessing lots of non Norwegian tourists end up sleeping in their car up on the high mountain pass.

Vettisfossen is a breathtaking mountain waterfall in Norway, cascading 275 meters down a cliff. Accessible via a hiking trail, the journey offers stunning views of four large waterfalls. The hike includes an easy walk to Vetti gard where visitors can enjoy waffles and drinks before continuing towards the base or top of the waterfall. While the bottom route may be more challenging due to slippery rocks, it provides an impressive view of the waterfall's plunge.
Gorgeous walk with 4 big waterfalls. Parking at the first and an easy walk to the Vetti gard. There you can have some waffles (not baked on the spot!) and a drink. Picnic is outside. From there you can choose to walk to the bottom of therapy or top. We choose bottom, which was a bit more difficult because of the wet stones (slippery). You cannot go to the place where the waterfall plunges on the rocks but it is still pretty impressive. Total walk for us untrained: 6 hours including photos and picnic.

My favorite trail in Jotunheimen National Park. Not so challenging, but with a lot of trees and green all around. The views are beautiful and you will cross a river on bridges few times. Prepare that the last part of the trail leading to the biggest waterfall is quite off-road even for hikers. You walk a lot on the rocks so you need to mind your steps.
Jana K — Google review
Great hike to Norway’s highest free-falling waterfall at 275 m. The trail starts at the Hjelle parking lot, which is free, well-sized, and even has a WC. We saw someone drive up to Vetti Tourist Station, but it’s unclear if this is allowed for non-residents, and the road is so narrow that it’s not recommended anyway. The hike itself is easy to medium: from Hjelle to Vetti (Tourist Station) the gravel path is pleasant, well maintained with several ups and downs, and walkable even in rain. Shortly before reaching Vetti it gets steeper on a paved road, but still manageable. From Vetti you can choose between the top (longer hike) or the bottom (about 30 min, passing a great suspension bridge) of the falls. In total the hike to the bottom takes about 4–5 h (out and back, ca. 15 km, ca. 500 m up/down), depending on pace, rest and photo stops. The last stretch requires more sure footing, and to get close to the bottom you may have to cross slippery rocks or shallow water. Waterproof shoes with good grip are essential. It is worth mentioning, that the route passes four beautiful waterfalls: Hjellefossen, Avdalsfossen, the almost tropical-looking Høljafossen, and finally Vettisfossen.

One of the most stunning hikes and waterfalls in Norway. This one is a gem. Easy 2h hike with stunning views. Be sure to take the left trail to the bottom of the Waterfall. It might get a little slippery on the way down. You can fill up your water bottle along the little creeks along the way. Take the first parking place or you will miss the first waterfall.

Great walk with a tougher last third. Worth both the upper and lower viewpoint to see. Lovely nature, great place for an afternoon stroll!!!
Gyorgy B — Google review
It has a free parking that has toilet and bathroom. You need lots of time to visit it. There is about 1:30 hour long walk to a hotel. It was a very easy path. Then you should choose a path to the top of it either to the bottom. The bottom one is 1 km and the top one is 1.5 km. We wanted to take the top one but we gave up because it was a little hard for us and it needed lots of time. So we got back. But if you have time and are in good health conditions, it won't be hard for you because the path is marked.

Amazing! The hike too the waterfall is as amazing as the waterfall itself. For cirka five kilometers you will walk along a beautiful bluegreen river. I prefered too view the waterfall from the top. This is a must visit.

Adventure Tours Norway offers an incredible way to explore the stunning landscapes of Norway, whether you choose to drive along "The Romantic Road" or rent bikes from Eplet in Solvorn or Skjolden. The cafe serves as a perfect starting point for hiking adventures, including the scenic trek up to Feigefossen waterfall. For those seeking thrills on water, their rib boat tours provide exhilarating experiences with breathtaking views and lively guides who enhance the journey with music and enthusiasm.
Absolutely fantastic rib tour on the Fjord that was definitely a highlight of the holiday. We tried to book months in advance but everything was full both through our cruise company and direct. Then the night before, our ship came close enough to land for my internet to work and I discovered a load of spaces had come available. I snapped up 2 slots and was so pleased I'd checked. Our driver/guide was brilliant and we loved everything about the experience.

We rented bikes here early in the season. Karlis had our bikes ready and opened up the shop just for us. We had an incredible ride along the romantic road and up through the valley. We got an e-bike and two regular bikes so everyone was able to bike together. Bikes also came with good lights for the tunnels. Karlis was very accommodating and gave us good directions for where to go, would highly recommend.

We had an amazing day thank you! The team was easy going, very nice and professional! Our guide (from New Zeeland) was awesome! Absolute highlight of our trip, I highly recommend this company and the experience to anyone!

The most amazing experience I’ve ever had!!! ♥️♥️♥️My heart and my soul filled with joy and happiness!! We were given uniforms for the cold and rain. Our guide Carles made the RIB cruise unique with his music choices and beautiful stops !! Totally recommended when in Skjolden! ♥️♥️♥️

The RIB boat tour was really amazing. We got an enthusiastic, very friendly guide, the views are fantastic, and the music on board gives it an extra dimension.

What a great trip, the guys that run this were amazing, very professional and also made you feel relaxed, all the gear is provided to keep you warm and safe. Can't tell you it's a must to book this trip, we had an amazing time. Book directly with them or walk up like we did and book, we waited 20 mins. Save alot of money doing it directly than going through the cruise liner.
Pete S — Google review
We rented bikes for a reasonable price (400 nok for a whole day). A short trip tot Drivandefossen (8km one way), afterwards a sportive ride to Urnes (29km one way) for the Urnes Stankyrkja. You pass through serveral unlit tunnels. The locals consider this the "romantic route". Truely beautiful! Other options such as fishing or a boat trip on the fjord are also recommended!

My husband and daughter did the body rafting with FjordActive. I did not participate (well, water in Norway is fresh and I have my temperature standard 😉), but from their comments, I can tell you it was a great experience. Their Norwegian guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive to everyone - despite the physical level or age. His explanation was very clear (equipment, schedule, activities, safety, pictures etc). He also did his best to reassure my daughter when she got into a little panic before the very last jump - nothing difficult, but this was the only place you couldn't skip and had to jump into the water. Highly recommended! Don't hesitate a minute!

Our trip was truly amazing! Their goal is to take people to the most remote parts of the glacier to experience stunning natural beauty and it turned out to be exactly that, and even better. The groups are small, the guides are fantastic. They are experienced, educated, fluent in English and will make sure you are feeling safe and will provide you with crampons, ice axes, and harnesses. The glacier changes rapidly, so every hike is unique, and you’ll be amazed by the breathtaking scenery. Special thanks to our guide Ole!

I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour. It was our first time on a glacier, and we had an amazing, impressive experience. Many thanks to our guide Michael – he was very attentive, cared about our safety, and made sure to find truly beautiful spots for us. We really enjoyed everything. The tour takes about 7 hours. The route is NOT difficult. Even someone who is not very athletic or well-trained can manage it. There is enough time to rest along the way. Everything is perfectly organized by the team.
Volodymyr F — Google review
We absolutely loved it. The guide was really nice and knowledgeable, we felt safe the whole time and we also loved that he would stop every once in a while to tell us a story (I think the real reason was for the people to rest). The explanations, the safety instructions, the boat ride made this experience 100% recommended. He would always ask for a feedback from us, making sure we are all safe and comfortable and enjoying it. At the way back we stopped near the tipi to drink coffee or tea
Tony H — Google review
Amazing private glacier tour with Ole and Fjord Active! We were the only ones signed up for the glacier tour, which meant we could explore so much more than in a larger group, where things move slower. Ole guided us expertly and showed us all the hidden spots on the glacier. Walking on the glacier was definitely one of the highlights of our entire trip to Norway, truly the cherry on top! What’s even more impressive is that Fjord Active is the only agency allowed to lead tours to this part of the glacier because they own the land and have the exclusive permit. This means you’re truly alone on the glacier, making the experience even more special. Huge thanks to Ole and the whole Fjord Active team — we wish you continued success in this amazing work!

Incredible experience! Would recommend everyone who wants to do a glacier hike in Norway! Our guide Marcus was very experienced and explained the whole tour, the equipment and the facts about the glacier very professional. He was very caring that everyone felt safe. We started with a 20min boat ride. After we had a 1.5h walk to the point where we got our glacier equipment (clamps, ice axe, harness). Fro there it was about 15min to the edge of the glacier where we began walking on the ice for around 2 hours. On the way back we also got some coffee and hot chocolate before we head back with the rib boat. The trip will stay in our memories forever - just breathtaking to make this experience! Thanks a lot Marcus!

This was a great experience! Tom and Jack were amazing guides and very willing to share ideas for the rest of our trip. They were knowledgeable and shared interesting facts throughout the trip. It was amazing to be on the fjord and experience the landscape around us thanks to FjordSeal. It was sunny and warm, and we all wore shorts and t-shirts.

Highly recommended! Very friendly (family) staff, nice kayaks, cool pace, cosy lunch stop and super interesting facts and trivia about local economy, culture and nature along the way. Thanks to Paul, Tom & Bob for the nicest trip!! Pro tip: if you’re going out on a single kayak and it’s your first time: get your balance dialed! 😅

Such a great experience Jack was a true gentleman and an apostle legend taking us out of normal hours to a fab spot for cliff jumps and a spot of light reading. Well worth everything to go here to experience just a few hours with Jack and the stunning scenery. Best view of waterfalls, fjords and glaciers.

Our group of five took the kayak tour with Tom. He was an excellent tour guide and gave us so much information about the area and also the culture. There were beautiful views. On the day we kayaked, we had the entire fjord to ourselves, not even another boat nearby. It was too cold to swim but we had a lovely lunch at the halfway point. I highly recommend this tour if you are in the area.

We visited Borgund’s New Church in Norway, located right beside the historic wooden church. Built in recent eras, it provides an interesting contrast to the old stave church. The entrance ticket includes access to both churches, along with a guided tour, and there’s also a nearby farmhouse to explore. Recommend a visit to experience both historical and more recent architecture in this beautiful setting.

What an unbelievable experience to finally see it in real life. It's a must see when you're in Norway
Toby A — Google review
It's a bit off the beaten path but it's worth a visit. Service is nice but the guide that was present ignored us and wasn't very helpful. Would recommend a visit anyways - 100 NOK entrance fee is not bad
Bruno S — Google review
One of the oldest stave churches in the world. It was built in 1180 and too old but preserved very well. It has an entrance fee to go inside (not to see it from the outside). It was worth it! The construction made us awe struck. Sadly, there were no surviving paintings. The bell tower is under some renovation so we were not able to go up to see it. The staffs were friendly both at the exhibit and near the church as well. They helped us with the history. But it is recommended to first see the exhibit and understand the history before going in the church.
Sai N — Google review
A place that worth visit if you're around. There are two main church's well conserved. They're kinda different of what you usually see. There's no much other things around the area, except for a museum and a small River
Carlos G — Google review
There are also spanish guided tour in the Church. Amazing!. A terrace for sunny days avaliable.
Jelique D — Google review
Beautiful and underrated church - highly recommended! This is a very beautiful church. In my opinion, even more impressive than Unesco Urnes Stave Church. It’s easy to reach, with a large parking area and surrounded by lovely nature and peaceful surroundings. Just one thing to keep in mind: the church closes already at 5 PM, which might feel a bit early during the summer season. So make sure to plan your visit accordingly.

Interesting museum about Norwegian houses and how they live in the last centuries. Houses are real, rebuilded on site. And an extra for kinds: behind the main build a little hike for active play

Interesting place to get to know the norwegian way of life in the Sogn area. Museum inside gives a lot of information, the houses outside gives a feeling of how people lived during the centuries since ca 1500.

We saw the sign on the street and the museum was a good surprise! The guides were super friendly and helpful.
David C — Google review
Very interesting museum. Three flours indoors about daily life in Norway in the last few centuries. And outside you can see the inside of the old houses. There are several places that don't have an English translation for the Norwegian texts next to the exhibitions. There are also several short walks with explanations about nature, but yet again without English translation. I do recommend taking a visit here. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to complete.
Sara M — Google review
Museum covering Norwegian rural folk life over the ages. Inside exhibition of artifacts of farming and folk costumes, outside there are historic buildings and houses that have been moved to the site. Well done guided tour was enlivened by a ninety year old lady who lived the old ways and has seen all changes to modern times. 👍

A nice and well conserved stave church, surrounded by its cemetery. The building was closed when I visited, so I couldn't see the inside, but it just looked nice from the outside anyway :)

Absolutely stunning! Closed for renovations (they were painting the exterior mid-April 2025), but still cool to walk around! There is an electric fence, but it’s to keep the deer out! Just enter through the gate, and close it behind you.

It's closed and surrounded by 5feet high electric fence but you can still see it well from outside and admire it.

Interesting building dating back 12 century, only 28 of these churches left in Norway, if you get the opportunity to visit one do so.

Nice church at a cemetery, flowers at every grave. Access costs 220 NOK for a family and 200 NOK for a book about the stave churches. See it as cultural heritage support.

Beautiful church with a beautiful backdrop

A fascinating church in the middle of this little town, where there is no place for eating. Entrance costs 7€ maybe expensive for one church, but It Is very beautiful, after that we suggest walking to Amla and if you need ti buy something catch a bus to Sogndal.
Antonio N — Google review
A beautiful little stave church. Unfortunately we arrived too early to go inside (opens at 10:00) but it is located in a beautiful place. (Everywhere in Norway is beautiful though) There is a little gravel parking lot to the right of the building and graveyard. The oldest gravestone was from the middle of the 17th century.

Stegastein Lookout in Norway is a unique observation platform that extends out from the mountain, offering breathtaking views of the fjord and surrounding landscapes. Visitors are instantly enveloped in tranquility as they take in the majestic beauty of the mountains and ocean below. The experience is described as peaceful and calming, providing a sense of awe-inspiring wonder. However, it's advised to visit on clear days to fully appreciate the glorious views, as rainy or cloudy weather can obscure the scenery.
Fun drive up and beautiful views. Can get busy when a tour van shows up, but we got lucky at first with no one there. Even on a partly cloudy day there were stunning views.
Rodolfo L — Google review
Tge view is amazing, but there are some things i like to mention: - The road from Aurlandsvangen is very narrow, just for one car but the way up the are several places where you can pass the cars going down. If going on high season be prepared to meet many cars and taking extra time to go up and down the road. -Next to the view point there is a parking place but only for dozen cars, sometimes we had to park the car next to the road further up the parking place since the way down is narrow. There is a toilet next to the parking.
Oto B — Google review
Wooden bridge that offers a wonderful view on the Sognefjord. The road to get there is basically a nightmare because it's super narrow and congested, also with buses and RVs: therefore be prepared to get stuck in the jam for several minutes and don't go there if you're a novice driver.
Francesco X — Google review
Definitely worth a visit. To access here, there are several ways including 1) hike; 2) drive; 3) bus tour; 4) taxi. We have our camper van but we didn’t end up driving our camper van up there after reading all the reviews online. There are a lot hairpin turns on the way up and we felt our van was a bit on the large end therefore we don’t want to risk it. We joined a bus tour from Norway’s Best company. It was good experience. The guide stopped 3 times to allow us to see things on the way. Because we joined a morning tour, there aren’t a lot people on the lookout. So it is relatively easy to get photos without people on your background! FYI - we didn’t go there in summer peak season. We went in Sept after school started. So maybe it’s another story in peak season
Catherine Y — Google review
This is one of the best spots to get beautiful views of the fjords. It is completely free and easily accessible with ample parking available. There are clean, free toilets on site. The road up to the lookout is quite interesting, but if you have a big vehicle, consider switching to a smaller one. There are meeting points along the way, but please be careful while driving. Some people also hike or bike to the lookout. It's definitely worth a visit, and if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the Aida cruise ship. Enjoy your stay in beautiful Norway. Anytime of the year is best time to visit.
S P — Google review
Fantastic spot, the views are just breathtaking. We went up in the evening and early morning (6am) to avoid tour coaches. If you are: not a confident driver, in a large vehicle, or can’t reverse I would either give it a miss, or stick to quiet times. Vehicles coming in the opposite direction are often travelling too fast and for long section there is only space for one car. The view point half way up/down is also superb.
J B — Google review
The Drive is a fun one - very curvaceous- Be Ready ! Lolol - G8 lookout and place to take photos - Selfies will pop, but befriend someone and have them take your photo so U can get the whole view. Not a must do , but if you can , Go !

Scenic Railroads
Flåmsbana, also known as the Flam Railway, is a historic railway line in Norway that offers a picturesque journey through scenic valleys and waterfalls. The train ascends almost 1,000 meters to provide stunning views of the surrounding mountains and cascading waterfalls. One of its special stops includes the impressive Kjosfossen waterfall. The railway is considered one of the most beautiful train journeys globally and is a popular tourist attraction in Norway.
One of the great railway journeys of the world. Not the longest, but one of the most scenic ever .. I found it virtually impossible to stay in my seat as the views appeared from one side to the other. The stop at the waterfall was unexpected and very dramatic. The "witch" that dances to the moody music and seems to jump around the landscape is quite magical
Richard H — Google review
Visited via a cruise. Flåm has one of europe's most beautiful train journeys but sadly we missed out on tickets and had to settle for the land train. These are pretty regular and do a loop of a few kilometres. We we're told that the e-cars you can hire are good fun. The weather wasn't great but it did produce some great photos of the cloud rolling down the mountain.
Alex M — Google review
It was a nice train ride. It’s a good way to get up into the mountains to appreciate the scenery. If you do t go you regret it. It’s too expensive to book through the cruise for what you get. We booked directly through the train and that was a little more reasonable. It was a relaxing ride and if was a pretty round trip tour. Picturesque. The water was low while we were there so no big rushing waterfalls but pretty.
N Y — Google review
The Flåm Train is definitely worth the price, even though everything in the area feels a bit overpriced. The beginning of the ride felt a little slow and didn’t quite live up to the hype at first, but it just kept getting better. The scenery becomes truly spectacular — especially when the train stops and you can step out near the waterfall. When we first stopped, the water was pouring down so heavily and loudly that we completely missed the little performance happening nearby! Luckily, on the return trip, the train stopped again, and we got to enjoy the icy mist and actually see the show. It was an unforgettable experience and well worth the journey — I’d love to go back someday.
Chen Z — Google review
I took a Flåmsbana rail journey from Flam to Myrdal and it was one of the most scenic train I have taken. The views were amazing plus the stop at waterfall was very good. The train and the staff inside was excellent. I would love to take this journey again when in Flam again. I even enjoyed the scenic views at the Myrdal train station.
Aatish B — Google review
I think it is overhyped. There’s a lot of time spent in tunnels. But when you see the valley, the views are very nice. I don’t think it’s worth a special trip to do this. And I think there’s a lot of better trains. For example, the train from Voss to Bergen was hands-down far better, and the best train ride I’ve taken in Europe to-date.
Jad K — Google review
It is a rail line in the fjord region of Norway between Flam and Myrdal. It is a very scenic route with mountains in either/both sides, river flowing along, and many waterfalls. The journey is about an hour. It makes a stop at the waterfall for passengers to get off and view for 5 minutes. There are many tunnels along the way
Dipak O — Google review
Amazing views and service. It’s all tourist so expect to be packed but it’s incredible and worth the ride. We left from Mydral and went down and up after staying in Flåm and the railroad was an amazing experience. We did struggle with finding baggage space for our larger luggage but lots of overhead racks for small stuff.

From stopping in Flam surrounded by the awesome scenery and imposing mountains we went on the Flam Safari. The staff were incredibly friendly and you could tell they take pride I what they do. After getting suited up the guide took us on a 1 1/2-2hr ride....the conditions were just perfect. The scenery and places we would never of seen and close ups with some of the waterfalls was brilliant. I must shout out our guide (who I took a photo with) named Geoffrey (hope that's spelt right!!!). He stopped at certain points and gave info about the area, history, facts and jokes....his enthusiasm and friendliness really made the trip complete and I hope he gets the recognition he deserves. All in all, I would go again and would definitely recommend if anyone goes here!

Amazing! The RIB boat tour is a fantastic way to see the fjords. Our tour guide provided lots of fun facts and information that helped me enjoy the fjords more. We even saw seals!! An Unforgettable RIB Boat Tour - Inga Made It Truly Special! Our RIB boat tour was an absolute highlight of our trip, and we owe so much of that to Inga, our incredible guide. From the moment the tour began, her passion, warmth, and deep knowledge shone through. She shared fascinating insights about the region's history, the fjord, and so much more - all in a way that was engaging and easy to follow. Inga's energy and enthusiasm were contagious, and her love for the area made the experience feel truly authentic. We felt incredibly fortunate to have her leading our tour. Her presence elevated the whole journey and made it not just a scenic adventure, but a meaningful and memorable experience. We are truly grateful for the time she spent with us - thank you, Inga, for making this an unforgettable part of our trip!🩷🤗🥰

This was an exceptional tour experience. Of course the views of the Aurlandsfjord and the Nærøyfjord were breathtaking and even more incredible from the rib boat. What really made our trip was our guide Matilde. She was so knowledgeable and made sure we got all our questions answered. She took us up close to many notable places: waterfalls, towns, troll “remains” 😄, and even a waterside herd of goats. She and our gear and safety instructor Bjorn made a memorable experience even more so. It was clear that they take our enjoyment and our safety very seriously. Book this tour! You’ll be glad you did.

I took the Fjordsafari on 5 Oct, and had Robbie as our boat captain and guide, who was exceptional. What an excellent experience and amazing way to see the beautiful fjords, getting up close to the scenery and learning about the history and legends of the area. I would highly recommend this as a much better alternative to Norway’s Best’s fjord cruise between Gudvangen and Flåm.

5 stars... The absolute highlight of our two weeks tour to Norway. We did the 1.5 hour tour, with Bartek as a guide. Super fun, very informative and he was extremely professional in hes appearance. We had two kids with us. One and two years. The one year old fell asleep. (Not because of the guide, but her nap time) And the two years old, wanted to sail more..! The Flam Railway, also known as Flamsbana, is a renowned train journey in South Norway that covers around 20 kilometers and offers breathtaking views of mountains, waterfalls, and valleys. Considered one of the most beautiful train journeys globally, it's a must-see when visiting this part of Norway. We went on the train up to Myrdal and back and then a boat cruise. It was a very interesting visit after being on the train and seeing the tunnels. It's amazing how they made them. Good displays and information in the museum and it is free to visit. Would recommend taking a look if you visit Flam or have been on the rail way .

Here’s a vivid, enthusiastic 5-star style review (roughly 500 words) of the Flåm Railway Museum, capturing its charm, storytelling power, and why it’s a standout destination: ⸻ Stepping into the Flåm Railway Museum feels like uncovering a hidden gem nestled right beside the picturesque Flåm Station; perfectly positioned for anyone arriving via the famed Flåmsbana journey. Housed in the original train station and completely free to enter, this museum elegantly bridges local history and impressive engineering—offering a heartfelt tribute to the human spirit behind this steep railway feat . Inside, the exhibits are beautifully curated: polished original artifacts like draisines and rail-inspection trolleys sit alongside the awe-inspiring El 9 locomotive, a stalwart locomotive that powered the line from the 1940s until the early 1980s . The displays, enriched with photographs, videos, text panels, and audio guides in nine languages via the Voice of Norway app, make the narrative accessible, immersive, and deeply engaging . As you traverse the compact yet rich exhibition, you’re truly taken back to the 1920s and 1930s—when planning began and construction began in 1924. This was no small undertaking: the 20-kilometer line to Myrdal, crisscrossing 20 tunnels (18 carved by hand!), climbing almost 900 meters over rugged terrain, stands as a tribute to exceptional human perseverance and creativity . The storytelling is personal and grounded. You learn not just about technical challenges but about the engineers and workers whose day-to-day grit shaped this marvel. A visitor on TripAdvisor praised it as “well-organised” and lauded the El 9 locomotive and audiovisual tour as standout features—high praise for what’s a modest-sized museum . The space also delights in small, thoughtful touches: a model-builder’s dream awaits at the station-area diorama, and the souvenir shop offers unique Flåm-Railway-themed keepsakes—from LEGO-style sets to handicrafts—for families and fans alike . What truly elevates the experience is its seamless blend with the surrounding environment. After the awe-inducing Flåmsbana ride—traversing tunnels, waterfalls, steep gradients, stopping at Kjosfossen waterfall for photos—the museum offers a perfect, grounding complement. It connects the spectacular visual journey with the human narrative behind constructing such an extraordinary route . In short, the Flåm Railway Museum stands as a shining example of how small, thoughtfully designed museums can make a big impact. It’s accessible, educational, and deeply moving. Whether you’re a history buff, engineering enthusiast, railway aficionado, or simply someone who values heartfelt storytelling—don’t skip this stop. Your visit will leave you with a new appreciation for Norway’s engineering heritage and the indomitable will of those who built one of the world’s steepest railways by hand. Five stars—bravo! ⸻ Hope this review captures the spirit and charm of the Flåm Railway Museum for your purposes! Let me know if you’d like a different tone or style.

Great history of the railroad here at Flam. Very good exhibits with signage in Norwegian and most signs also in English. Easy to download an app for self-guided tour in several languages. We could not find all the audio guide markers and managed to have a great tour. Entry thru gift shop in central Flam. Great free museum.

The Flåm Railway is truly one of the most breathtaking train journeys in the world. Stretching just 20 kilometers between Flåm and Myrdal, the ride is short but packed with stunning scenery that feels almost unreal. From the moment the train departs, you’re surrounded by towering mountains, cascading waterfalls, deep valleys, and charming little villages. The highlight for many is the stop at Kjosfossen Waterfall, where you can step outside to feel the mist and watch a short cultural performance. The train itself is comfortable, with large windows that make it easy to enjoy the views from either side. Commentary along the way provides helpful background about the history and engineering marvel of the railway, which is one of the steepest standard-gauge lines in the world. Yes, it can get busy with tourists, especially in summer, and tickets are a bit pricey—but the experience is worth every moment. My tip is to book in advance and, if possible, pair it with a fjord cruise for the full “Norway in a Nutshell” adventure.

This museum is a true treasue. It's a beautiful, clean space with a free entry for everybody, inviting tourists to step in and explore the history surrounding the creation of the railway, which remains a the main attraction in the area of Flam. It not only delves into the railway's history but also provides insights into the daily life of that era. At the entrance, there's also a souvenir shop where, along with your exploration of the museum, you can indulge in some tax free shopping. It is, indeed true, that it may appear small from the outside, the museum surprises with its spacious interior, featuring the highlight of an old train section at the back. Highly recommended if you're in the area, and just a 10-minute visit can be quite rewarding.
