Pocheon Herb Island is a whimsical park with various themed attractions, cafes, and a souvenir shop. It's an ideal summer destination, especially when combined with a visit to Dumulmeori Lake. The park features a large shop offering plant-based items like skincare products, tea, and candles. Visitors can also enjoy a foot spa area and stunning light displays at night. This unique and beautifully detailed location offers a refreshing break from busier tourist spots.
I was so lucky to see Pink Muhly in this place. This is my 2nd time visiting this place and still so beautiful and worth to visit.
Ernielyn D — Google review
A unique attraction you can take thousand of photos from. Must see Pink Muhly Sand Sky Herb.
Funtastic T — Google review
We didn't know what to expect, but we were afraid of getting spirited away in this phantasmagorical nightmare filled with dilapidated sculptures, labyrinthine paths and exhibits not found on the map. Bizarre, scary. Lightly dystopian. The bibimbap at the café was very good though.
Evan R — Google review
The worst place I have been in Korea. The place is very poorly maintained. Although there are many theme areas. But really poor maintained and is so rundown. There is only one restaurant. I ordered the beef rib soup. The worst I ever have. Cold, 2big ribs with not much meat. Cost 17,000. I think I prefer to eat back in Seoul! And self-service There are a few cafes. Maybe it will be better to have some like grab in the cafes or if you wanna be there, eat before you go. The only place that was full of humans, was the pink theme pink mully grass with an artificially colored shocking pink sand slope. Anyway, the ticket and all the pay pay pay inside this area, simply not worth it. But because you want to post on social media coz’ of the shocking pink zone, Maybe… The management of this place should rethink how they should manage this place properly.
JooZoo W — Google review
Not worth your time! I can't flush the toilet, the lights won't turn on, everything needs to have a ticket, I can't turn the sink on, and I should've lowered my expectations on the pink sand! There was so little pink sand!
Nani N — Google review
We were in the area and had nothing to do so we stopped by here in Autumn 2023. The big attraction was a field of pink muhly which is a pink coloured grass. That part is quite beautiful, and possibly worth the 12,000 Won entry fee. Otherwise the gardens are not that impressive and overall theme is odd. We had our kids and there was just so many ways they squeeze more money out of you. Despite the entrance fee, everything else costs a lot of extra money and is not that great (big swing, sand slide that takes 1 second etc.)
Devon F — Google review
There's more than 250 herbs here. It's also an amusement Park and place where there's lavendar, edibility garden, shops, rides and lots of pink things. Very picturesque
Sunni W — Google review
An interesting place to go if you have time to explore the area. Be sure to go to the spa and get some DIY projects. A good spot for families. Go in the evening so you can enjoy the lights more. The bakery and botanical garden was a huge favorite for our group.

Chuncheon Dakgalbi Street is a popular tourist attraction known for its narrow street lined with various eateries that specialize in spicy stir-fried chicken or dakgalbi, which is a famous Korean dish. This street offers many different dakgalbi restaurants where tourists can find their own favorite flavor. Some restaurants provide tables while others offer the traditional ondol heating method, where the food is heated in front of you and served from a big pot.
A lovely street with many Dakgalbi restaurants and many staff standing outside ushering costumers in. Although many of them were not single person friendly, some of them welcome to single costumers too. The restaurant which I opted to go has friendly staffs and very supportive. The food is delicious and authentic since it is prepared by experienced, old ajummas. They also provide the Dakgalbi delivery all over the Korea who love to have Chuncheon Dakgalbi.
Ishwor K — Google review
Night and day. Many dalkgalbi restaurants. Many tourists.
Peter R — Google review
Chuncheon Street is famous for its chicken rib restaurant. The price is reasonable and the taste is excellent. Myeong -dong underground parking lot is also easy to park. It takes about 10 minutes in Legoland. As of 2023, about 14,000 won for 1 serving of chicken ribs.
Mundo T — Google review
Cool place to stay for the night if visiting Nami Island! Of course lots of chicken and cheese, it was so good. Also, many name brand stores to shop. Definitely recomend this area.
Dillon W — Google review
It is a small version of Seoul's Myeongdong! You can find big chains like Nike, Artbox, Daiso, etc etc. There are also a lot of dakgalbi places as this is the dish Chuncheon is known for so, although it was a bit pricey, it is definetely worth the try. I think tanghuru is a most try as well!
Cristina P — Google review
The street never stops amusing you The shops the lights and the chicken meals all are worth the visit Next to the street is the underground shopping market too A must visit if you are in chuncheon
Shivani J — Google review
This is my favorite korean dish other than kimchi stew. This street offers many different dakgalbi restaurants so you can find your own favorite flavor. Some offer tables and others, offer the traditional ondol. It is heated in front of you and once ready, you may begin to eat from the big pot.

Islands
Nami Island, also known as Namiseom, is a picturesque eco-tourist destination located just outside Seoul. This half-moon shaped island is surrounded by an artificial lake and is famous for being the filming location of the popular K-drama Winter Sonata. The island features lush tree-lined paths, art exhibits, galleries, and a museum. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as biking, water sports, roller skating, and more.
We purchased entrance and round trip ferry tickets in advance. Made it super easy. You can skip the line and tee up for the ferry ride. Ferry does have seating but recommend arriving in the morning. We crossed around 8:30am. Made for an hour or so before the crowds started. We walked along the left waterfront path and started at Swing cafe which had cozy leather seats with views of the trees and water. Give yourself a good 5 hours to truly take in the island. Lots of eclectic artwork, galleries, walking paths, cafes and photo opportunities.

My Delightful Bus Tour To Nami Island The bus picked me up from my hotel in Seoul for this full day adventure which included a stop at the Garden Of Morning Calm. This meticulously manicured garden was stunningly beautiful and relaxing at the same time. The tour guide and driver gave us a little briefing on the highlights and attractions upon arrival and set a time for return to the bus before he turned us loose. This is a thoroughly enjoyable place and can be a destination in it’s own right. Back on the bus for a short ride where we boarded a ferry for a short, scenic and fun cruise to Nami Island . Again a nice little briefing and return instructions. The island is an iconic location which can be seen in many Korean movies and TV shows. Rows of tall stately trees growing in a symmetrical and orderly manner must have been growing a very long time. They line both sides of roadways that I think of as inviting shady lanes. There are many landscape and flower features throughout the park. Photo enthusiasts will be well pleased. There are numerous food venues featuring tasty well prepared dishes. This complete tour was a pleasing and comforting experience from start to return.I would encourage everyone to visit here. I hope to return as well.

Nami Island is a beautiful and peaceful place to walk around. The autumn scenery was stunning with golden and red leaves everywhere. There are lots of photo spots, cute wooden sculptures and even rabbits around the park. It’s calm and relaxing, perfect for nature lovers. I recommend coming in the morning or late afternoon for the best light and cooler weather. 🇰🇷❤️

Peak autumn season. Nami Island painted in yellow gold red fire like color. So amazingly beautiful and breathtaking, undescribable by words. Indeed, the world is a book, and every journey turns a new page. Subhanallah, MashaAllah. His creation is limitless, His mercy endless, His greatness beyond imagination.

Nami Island is a memorable day trip while in South Korea. Never miss it! its better to join a group tour when travelling solo. it takes a half day to explore around the island. i visited during autumn and the place is full of magic because of the colorful foliage. take instagrammable pictures with the maple trees, meta sequioa, ginkgo trees around. although there are plenty of people roaming everywhere, you can still get great pictures and enjoy the island. there are plenty of shops and food options in the cafes/restaurants around.
Mary T — Google review
Nami Island is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. Even though we went during the coldest season — it was -12°C on the day we visited — it was still absolutely breathtaking. The snow-covered trees, peaceful paths, and calm atmosphere made it feel like a winter fairy tale. Despite the freezing weather, we loved every minute of walking around, taking photos, and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The island has such a charming and romantic feel, and it’s easy to see why it’s so famous. If you are visiting Korea, I highly recommend adding Nami Island to your list — winter or not, it’s a magical experience you won’t forget.
JayJay T — Google review
Escaping from Seoul for the weekend to Nami Island is a favorite pastime for those trapped in the metropolis. There is plenty of water, forests, fresh air, and places to walk. I decided to try it too. About 1.5 hours from the center and you are on the shore, from where the ferry departs for the island! Personally, I bought tickets through Trip.com, as it's cheaper. Nami Island is a place where you can just walk around, take beautiful photos, and eat at various restaurants. The picturesque views and peaceful atmosphere are relaxing and make you want to come back again, for example in winter. I will definitely come here in snowy weather.
Drew E — Google review
Not so crowded even in long public holiday. Lucky that it wasn't rain when we're there. Not all game are running. But a lot of photo spots. A place to have moments with family and friends. To have a break from daily routine. Overall a good place to visit

The Garden of Morning Calm, located in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, is the oldest private garden in the country and covers a vast area of 330,000 square meters. It features themed sections with diverse plant and flower collections that bloom throughout the year. The garden offers a serene escape with its tranquil walkways and stunning natural landscapes.
The Garden of Morning Calm is absolutely breathtaking! 🌸 Nestled in the mountains, it’s one of the most peaceful and beautifully landscaped gardens I’ve visited in Korea. Every section is thoughtfully designed, with vibrant flowers, serene walking paths, and stunning photo spots throughout. The air feels so fresh, and it’s the perfect place to relax and connect with nature. The garden is well-maintained, clean, and easy to navigate. There are also cozy cafés and snack stalls nearby to enjoy a warm drink. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a calm and scenic escape from the city.
Agnes — Google review
We visited the Garden of Morning Calm as part of a tour package, and it turned out to be a very beautiful experience. The garden is well maintained and has several themed sections, each with its own charm. It is calm, quiet, and filled with lovely photo spots, making it a great place to enjoy nature. That said, I would recommend it only if you are already in the area. It does not feel worth traveling all the way from Seoul just for this. Also, accessibility is limited as the grounds are quite hilly, so be prepared to walk.
Umashankar S — Google review
Our afternoon drive from Seoul to Gapyeong-eup was wonderfully enhanced by a stop at the Garden of Morning Calm. Although we arrived a bit late at 5pm, this turned out to be the perfect time to visit, with most of the day's crowds already gone. We had the spacious garden largely to ourselves, allowing us to fully immerse in its calm, peaceful, and truly mind-refreshing atmosphere. The garden is a masterpiece of landscape design, beautifully blending natural elements with artistic touches. We were captivated by the majestic thousand-year-old Millennium Juniper. The stunning variety of flowers and plants, and the serene water streams and ponds adorned with charming bridges and pavilions. The addition of unique structures like a chapel, a Western-style cottage, and Korean house added fascinating layers to our stroll. It was the perfect way to break up our journey, offering a moment of tranquility before we continued to our final destination. I highly recommend this beautiful garden for a visit.
Billy I — Google review
Aahh… this one is definitely my favorite. Right at the entrance you’ll find food stalls selling Korean favorites like corn dogs, fish cakes, and more. The food was delicious, and the best part is that even though it’s a tourist spot in a remote area, the prices weren’t jacked up. Big plus! To be honest, at first I thought this garden would be just “meh” 😑 , the usual flowers, benches, fountains, and bridges. But I was wrong. The garden is massive, and what really took my breath away was the area where the garden meets the mountains. The view was stunning and the atmosphere instantly felt calm and serene. The name truly fits. This is a must visit in South Korea. We’ll definitely come back and spend more time here. Pro tip: Book this with the Nami Island tour on Klook for convenience. If you want to enjoy the garden longer, consider booking a private van so you can spend the whole afternoon there.
Jonas G — Google review
Wow!! Didn't know what to really expect, but this place was a little slice of heaven on earth! We booked a day tour from Seoul, and this was a stop along the tour. By far, out most favorite stop along the tour. Its pure tranquility, and serenity. You almost feel as thought you are in a different world. The gardens are stunning, and peaceful. We saw giant bunnies roaming around, also babies. Its definitely a place that will make you happy 🪷 hopefully, you can try and miss the crowds. Although, we went on a Sunday, which was crowded, but still managed to find plenty spots to relax in solitude, and just absorb the breathtaking gardens. Felt very fairytale like...wonderful place to take many pictures 🪷💫🍃
Shelly Y — Google review
A big garden, with beautiful scenery. It's thematic garden with plenty photo spots. Unfortunately I was there when raining. Ok lease watch the weather when you plan in advance. But as long as it's not heavy rain, we can still enjoy it.
Danny W — Google review
Took the tour back mid March of this year. It’s part of our Nami Island/Rail bike tour through Klook for $133.00. We got lucky and enjoyed the natural beauty of the garden in winter with snow-covered paths against the backdrop of Chungnyeongsan Mountain. We enjoyed some Korean snacks and hot cappuccino to compliment with the weather. Garden wasn’t in full bloom season and no early spring flowers during our visit but the snow made it unforgettable and rewarding experience. Highly recommend!

THIS. IS. MY. FAVORITE. Literally guys, this is the most MAGICAL view i've ever seen. I cant describe. From my trip in Korea this is my favorite! I went on late April and the cherry blossom was supposed be fallen off already, but i can still see it in this garden. I love it and i will comeback. Every corner of the garden is magical and i love it. Very aesthetic. You'll feel like youre inside of a book with historical theme. A lot of flowers, tulips, cherry blossoms etc. Very calming and clean.

Gangchon Rail Park is an eco-friendly attraction located in a scenic area of South Korea. It offers low-key bicycle tours on converted railroad lines that provide breathtaking views of majestic mountain ranges and fields. The ride includes passing through numerous tunnels, each with unique themes to enhance the experience. Visitors can enjoy nearby restaurants that serve delicious dakgalbi after pedaling for a distance.
Make sure you go to the correct starting point (near Gimyujeong station) and not the end point (near Gangchon station) like we did and have to rebook - we were lucky we could still book in for a few hours later. We managed to kill time with a coffee and lunch at the town outside and look at the pink muhly flowers which was nice.

Gangchon Rail Park in South Korea is such a fun and unique experience! Riding the rail bikes through the scenic countryside, tunnels, and riverside views was absolutely beautiful. The ride is smooth, well-organized, and perfect for families, friends, or couples. A must-try activity when visiting near Nami Island or Seoul!
Agnes — Google review
Bought tickets in advance and came as a tour. Advise to ppl to come during a cooler period and not during the hotter period. Overall it was a good experience doing it with a spouse and children! The ride was smooth, well-organised and scenery was worth it!
Galvin Y — Google review
It was such a fun and enjoyable countryside rail bike ride. It doesn’t require much paddling and you might even feel the 6km paddle is too short lol! The last 2km is the romance train ride where a colorful train drove us through more trails and forests. The whole journey was scenic and there are four different tunnels with different themes included! Highly recommend visiting!!
Hyso C — Google review
Very very fun place. I enjoyed the ride a lot both the rain bike and the train afterwards. Some parts of the ride are little boring as you go through some random fields. But they have done the tunnels very nicely. They have 4 or 5 tunnels with various features like bubbles, lighting or disco with music and lights. There is a small stretch that goes next to the river that is a nice sight. The starting point is also very decorated with few very colorful things that make it "insta worthy". Overall fun things to do one time of you are in Korea
Saurabh J — Google review
This is the first time I see a tourist object like this. We paddle like bicycle, but I'm a cart on an actual rail. There were 4 seater and 2 seater car. Pretty safe, a lot of scenery during the 30 minutes trip. Recommended for all traveller to Korea. We came here using one of day trip package from Seoul bought in klook.
Danny W — Google review
Great experience. We started at 14.30, arrived at bike endpoint around 15.00. Waited for the romantic train until 15.20. Arrived at end station around 15.40. Short walk to the shuttle bus and arrived back at the car around 16.00. Good experience, the bike part is the highlight, the romantic train so-so.
Benjamin B — Google review
I did it as part of a tour along with Nami island and garden of morning calm but this railbike was the most fun! You pedal in either 2 or 4 seater and a lot of the pedaling is assisted so you dont have to work too hard. We came when it was about 10 degrees so be mindful it’s windy but the sunset was 1000% a highlight of the trip!

Petite France is a charming French-inspired village in Korea, featuring over 16 traditional buildings and serving as both a cultural village and youth training facility. It has been featured in popular Korean dramas and variety shows, making it a must-visit for fans of K-dramas. The village pays tribute to the author of 'Le Petit Prince' with a dedicated memorial hall.
This place is a perfect blend of historical charm and modern comfort, offering a memorable peek into the heritage of rural France. Highly recommended if you’re in the area and looking for an enriching, off-the-beaten-path experience!
Basma J — Google review
Artificial French village near Seoul built by a Korean who loved all things French. Stunning views but the exhibits are a bit sad mainly focused on Pinocchio’s story. Lots of places for nice Insta shots but I would not return again. Good if you have never been before.
Jeremy K — Google review
A complete waste of time and energy .. shockingly underwhelming. If you’re booking a tour to Nami Island, skip this one. Don’t waste your money .. book the garden of morning calm instead. This place is so tacky, I doubt even kids would enjoy it
Sain — Google review
Petite France is such a charming and colorful spot in Korea. The French-style houses, art pieces, and little museums make it feel like stepping into a European village. Great for photos and strolling around.
Agnes — Google review
This spot offers a visually charming experience that truly makes you feel like you've stepped into a small French village, complete with colorful European-style buildings, quaint staircases, and various French-inspired decorations, paintings, and installations. As a famous filming location for popular Korean dramas like, it adds an element of excitement for fans looking to visit iconic scenes. The village is exceptionally photogenic, providing numerous unique spots perfect for photography and social media check-ins. However, the experience is somewhat marred by the apparent lack of maintenance. Despite being built years ago, the condition of some areas shows significant wear. During the visit, a strong smell of mold was noticeable in several buildings, which unfortunately detracted from the overall atmosphere and enjoyment. In summary, Petite France is a great place for photos and to capture a French ambiance, but be prepared for some imperfections that affect the experience.
Billy I — Google review
You can probably cover france and italy in around 3 hours. There are some cafe style kiosks where you can buy a quick drink. Both places have a really nice quaint decoration and vibe to them. Recommend doing this as part of a day tour since coming all the way here just for this is not really worth it.
Laura J — Google review
Part of the klook tour package. It's a huge village made up of French/Italian looking houses and a huge Pinnochio at the entrance. Most of the houses are accessible and some of them have different themes and displays in them. Worth visiting.

France inspired theme park! We went in september and the weather was great. Therefore it was easy to walk and enjoy the colourful streets. The air was clean. We took a one day tour for petite france, nami island and rail park so we were just given 2-3 hours to visit petite france which I would say is more than enough! This place could be enjoyed with parents and children. This place has cute insta worthy spots where you can create some magical, colourful reels, videos etc. This place doesn’t have much to offer except for scenic and insta worthy shots! It is colourful and vibrant! I would not recommend this place for a full day tour as there’s nit much to offer. The washrooms are clean, they have some small cafes where you can have your coffee, croissants etc.

Changdeokgung Palace, a stunning remnant of the Joseon dynasty, invites visitors to explore its rich history and beautiful gardens. As the second oldest of Seoul's five grand palaces, it served as the main royal residence from 1592 until 1868. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its well-preserved structures dating back to the 1600s-1800s, offering a glimpse into Korea's architectural heritage before modern reconstructions took over.
Beautiful and most historically original of the palaces in Seoul even if it wasnt the main palace. The secret garden is absolutely worth it. I booked the tickets for the secret garden online and it turned out to be a great decision since all tickets were sold out by the time we arrived in the afternoon.
Mohammad M — Google review
Very chill hike and great view to see old traditional architecture of Korea. The garden is also pretty to see. Very beautiful and peaceful.
Chyau-Shyang J — Google review
The palace is truly amazing, situated in a calm section of the city and with some beautiful architectural highlights. During Golden Week, entry was granted free of charge, even for those not wearing the traditional attire. Unfortunately, the secret garden still required a ticket and was completely sold out for the day. I likely would have enjoyed the location more were it not for the throngs of people.
Tiago G — Google review
This palace wasn’t as busy as Gyeongbokgung palace at least when we went. It is a beautiful palace ground with lots of places to take pictures. There is another section which requires another ticket that was really nice. The path along the lake was nice and peaceful. Definitely recommend a visit here if you have the time

Changdeokgung (Korean: 창덕궁; Hanja: 昌德宮) is a former royal palace in Seoul, South Korea. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Historic Site of South Korea, it is among the best preserved of all Korean palaces. It and its neighboring palace Changgyeonggung have together been called the "East Palace". Changdeokgung was established in 1405. It was the second palace to be established in Seoul, after Joseon's official main palace Gyeongbokgung. Despite Gyeongbokgung's legally superior status, a majority of kings preferred to reside in Changdeokgung instead. In 1592, amidst the Imjin War, Changdeokgung and all the other palaces in the city were completely destroyed. After the war, due to budgetary constraints, Gyeongbokgung was not repaired, while Changdeokgung and Changgyeonggung were. This effectively made Changdeokgung Joseon's main palace for several centuries. In the late 19th century, under the reign of the penultimate Korean monarch Gojong, Gyeongbokgung was rebuilt and the royal family moved out of Changdeokgung and into Gyeongbokgung, although they would again move to another palace Deoksugung in 1897. In 1907, Gojong was forced by Japan to abdicate, and his son and final Korean monarch Sunjong ascended the throne and made Changdeokgung his official palace. In 1910, Japan colonized Korea, and proceeded to heavily alter the palace. The Korean royal family continued to reside in the palace even after the 1945 liberation of Korea and into the late 20th century. Changdeokgung is now a major tourist attraction. In 1997, it was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The palace's Secret Garden [ko], long beloved by Korean monarchs, are now mostly available to the public, with some sections requiring tours to be booked.
Buster I — Google review
It's just a shame that these buildings were all destroyed with the Japanese invasion and it's so important and great that Korea is still working on restoring everything as best as possible. The palace is build a little closer together than at Gyeongbokgung Palace. The only thing I could critique is that the government should be paying a little more attention when including fire extinguishers or fuseboxes and maybe try to blend them in a little more. They often break the immersion and the view of the otherwise beautiful palace.
F. F — Google review
JUST WOW. We visited this UNESCO World Heritage site last November 18, 2025 - and we didn’t regret a thing. Everything is preserved, from the architectural designs of their villages and the nature hidden in the secret garden. How can I not fall in love with this masterpiece? God loves us all, but how come it’s different in South Korea? Kidding aside, it’s a gift from the mighty creator. We will surely come back! 🥹😇🌸🍁

Awesome in the center of Seoul! Very nice weather, good environment(really less car), local food markets(Bought really sweet green grape). Artificial stream all the way down to Dongdaemun area. If you want to, get a free automobile bus!

Beautiful stream to get away from overcrowding in the heart of Seoul. Bring your lunch and sit by the stream and do little picnic. Do some people watch, there are some birds like herons, egress and ducks there, too. In my opinion this maybe the best investment that Seoul has.made for the locals and tourists. Very very highly recommended visit 👌

This very unique plaza runs east and west in the center of several districts in Seoul. Entry into the area is a ramp down or stairs along the length of the attractive. Several over-hangs can provide shade and several visitors had their feet in the water. Would recommend this area for light meal, quiet social visit, or some peaceful meditation.

Embark on a skincare shopping spree at the bustling Myeondong Shopping Street, a popular tourist destination in Seoul. This vibrant area spans just 1 square kilometer but is packed with international and local cosmetic brands, as well as clothing boutiques. The narrow streets are lined with shops, hotels, and cafes. At night, the street comes alive with vendors selling local street food. It's a crowded yet convenient place to explore, especially for teenagers seeking bargains and trendy finds.
SO MANY STORE OPTIONS. IF YOURE VISITING SEOUL YOU MUST GO HERE AND ALSO VISIT THE STREET FOOD AREA. I WOULD SUGGEST CARRYING WON ON YOU FOR THE FOOD, IT RANGES FROM 3000 TO 15000 WON FOR MOST EVERYTHING FOOD WISE.

Its a paradise for people looking to buy any type of skincare products, cosmetics etc. There are nice food stalls all along myeongdong street. The underground market is also worth exploring. There's also a church on one end of the shopping street.

Another Tourist trap with a huge crowd that blocks one to move from shops to shops. I believe there is nothing cheap here because it is definately a touristic area. There is always a huge crowd will welcome you here. Non of the shops are cheap. You can find same products for cheaper at anywhere. Same shops have more that 3 filiales so you feel like you passed from the same street again. But that is not he case. Good thing is that is is safe even there is so many people. You can find variety of restaurants and street food, massage shops, cosmetics shops, Michelin certified restaurants etc. But i do not recommend you to shop here, just go to see as an experience. It is vibrant Athmosphere especially in nice weather.

Go at night so you get the lights and enjoy the atmosphere. Lots of street foods from vendors, once you've seen one street full you'll notice they repeat. Same with shops. But nice to snack and walk and soak it all up. Get out at myendong exit 9 or 10.

N Seoul Tower, a landmark that has graced the skyline since 1980, is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Seoul. This iconic structure not only boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the city but also features a revolving restaurant that enhances your dining experience with stunning scenery. Known for its romantic ambiance, N Seoul Tower attracts couples and friends alike who come to attach love locks as symbols of their everlasting bonds—much like the famous Pont Neuf in Paris.
A Sunset Experience Worth the Wait! Visiting N Seoul Tower was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Seoul, though getting there tested my patience. The cable car line was brutal—I waited about 30 minutes just to buy tickets, and then stood in line for another hour to actually board the cable car. It wasn’t the most pleasant part of the experience, especially if you're short on time or visiting during peak hours. That said, it was absolutely worth it. We made it to the top just in time for sunset, and the views were nothing short of breathtaking. Watching the city light up beneath a fading sky from that height was a moment I won’t forget. Once you're up there, there's so much to do that you can easily spend hours exploring. The tower complex is full of restaurants and cafes with stunning views, art displays, photo booths, and tons of souvenir shops. One of the most charming parts is the Love Locks area—a colorful and romantic spot that adds a unique character to the visit. If you're planning to go, just be ready for the wait (especially if you take the cable car), or consider other ways up like the shuttle or a hike if you’re feeling adventurous. But once you’re at the top, it’s an experience that’s totally worth it—a perfect mix of panoramic views, culture, food, and fun.
Ella E — Google review
A must on any trip to Seoul. Spectacular views. Be prepared for crowds on the weekends. On previous trips I’ve walked up - cable car is fun but huge queue & a long wait if you do that. This time I cycled up - steep … thank goodness for e-bikes! Don’t miss the small plaque & marker on the top … often overlooked but it’s the geographic center of the city, very cool.

Must visit! It’s so scenic, especially with autumn colors. One gets beautiful Birds Eye view of the city and there are lot of cultural activities. Keeps one busy and entertained. Plenty of buses to take one around. It was lot walking, including some steep but worth every step.

Namsan Tower is another attraction I visited during my business trip. You have two options to get to the top of the mountain: by bus or on foot. I recommend taking the bus up and walking down — it’s easier and more enjoyable that way. Once you reach the top, the view is absolutely breathtaking! You can see the entire city from above, and the scenery is stunning. Don’t forget to check out the love locks area — it’s beautiful and very romantic.
Anh L — Google review
Great views of the city. Recommended to Come here at night. The lights shining on the tower gives it a mystical feel and look. The deck offers great views of the night skyline! The is a mall under the tower A but there is nothing to shout about. No crowds and no vibes. A place that is to be visited only once.
Ron Y — Google review
Purchased gondola ride to the tower. To buypass the ticket line purchase ahead from an online retailer. The gondola queue was long but worth the wait. Just missed the sunset but still got some beautiful scenery around the tower. The view is stunning from the top.
Lisa J — Google review
N Seoul Tower is a great place to visit when in Seoul great 360 views over the city and if you like a bit of romance you can lock your love up here. Don’t worry if you don’t have a lock with you can buy them up the tower. They have lots of shops for coffee food drinks while you enjoying the view. You can get the cable car 🚠 that cost 15000 Kyen for both ways and it runs very 10 mins , or you can hike all the way up.
Filippos M — Google review
We took a cable car up to the top and the view is great. I think for 2 people it cost 34K won. There are restaurants at the tower and snack shops. There are all sorts of touristy knick knacks you can buy at the gift shop. The only downside to the view is the smog which was pretty thick when we went. I'm assuming that might be the notm, however it was still a nice view of the sunset.

Lotte World is a 3-in-1 adventure park in Seoul, easily accessible by subway. It's often compared to Disneyland and features a magic castle and two mascots, Lotty and Lorry. The park offers thrilling rides suitable for all ages, making it perfect for families. Visitors can enjoy familiar characters, movie-themed attractions like a swinging viking ship and magic balloon ride, as well as river rapids and carousels at the indoor park.
There is a indoor and outdoor park. Indoor rides and plays are more suitable for children. Outdoor has more adventure rides. Went during weekend, and non school holiday, thus parks are not crowded. Communication is in Korean so may be challenging trying to understand the staff instructions. Parade started at 2 pm, so happy so see so many energetic crew members dancing and bring joy to all.
TEOW N — Google review
This is an awesome theme park for a fun day out. It's a bit like a mix of Disneyland and an indoor park, so it’s great no matter the weather. The rides are thrilling, and the parades are really well-done. The Magic Island part outside is super cool with the castle. It's a perfect place for families or anyone who just wants to have a blast.
Dan — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall, we had a great experience at Lotte World Theme Park. My son is still a little young and couldn’t meet the height requirements for some of the bigger rides, but I was impressed that the park has plenty of similar attractions designed for younger children. It really caters to all ages, so no one feels left out. The park itself is huge—between the indoor Adventure section and the outdoor Magic Island, there’s more than enough to keep a family entertained. Realistically, a visit here will take up your entire day, so plan accordingly. Even though we couldn’t try everything this time, we still enjoyed the variety of rides, the family-friendly atmosphere, and the overall energy of the park. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Seoul with kids!
Heng K — Google review
We came here for a full day of fun. The place was crowded for a weekday. Lots of children running around. We enjoyed the parade even though it was a bit short. Make sure you download the app to see how long the wait times are. We also did the pixie magic dress up which was pricey but cute. Lots of people also dressing up

For K-drama fan, it was a must for us to experience it. We even decided to rent school uniform to elevate our experience. Booked our tickets through Klook. We got lucky as it wasn’t so crowded. Enjoyed going through the park for three (3) hours. Have been to 5 Disney/Disney world, this was as not big but the atmosphere was great. Highly recommended to visit when you’re in Seoul.
Christopher U — Google review
Highly disappointed, it was sadly a big waste of time. Most of the cool rides are closed without any explanation (yes stuff can happen and for safety reasons obviously it should be closed, but I don't believe that at least 5 things don't work at the same time). They clearly sell way more tickets than the capacity allows it. Very greedy. The waiting times go up to 1-2 hours, and honestly if the ride is super cool, maybe I would even wait 1 hour, but I can't, because surprise, they closed "at the moment". I came with low expectations because not every theme park has a high budget and advanced technology, which is understandable, but honestly this is a big nothing. Not to mention, that beside regular ticket, so many attractions require additional fee. Wherever you look, they ask for a fee.
Melaniaa — Google review
Nice amusement park. There are many things to see. However, even though we came during a weekday, it was really crowded. There is a long wait for the popular rides.

Lotte World: A Magical Adventure in the Heart of Seoul Lotte World is more than just a theme park; it's a dual-world adventure that you have to experience to believe. With a massive indoor park, Lotte World Adventure, and a thrilling outdoor island, Magic Island, it's the perfect destination for all ages, regardless of the weather. The indoor park is truly a sight to behold. It's one of the world's largest, and you'll find a mix of family-friendly rides, a beautiful ice rink, and stunning parades that make you feel like you've stepped into a fantasy land. The detail in the architecture and the vibrant atmosphere are just amazing. For the thrill-seekers, Magic Island, located on a lake, is where you'll find the most adrenaline-pumping rides. The iconic fairytale castle provides a beautiful backdrop to attractions like the Gyro Drop and Gyro Swing. The view from the top of the rides, overlooking the lake and the city, is simply unforgettable. Whether you're looking to ride thrilling coasters, enjoy a magical parade, or just explore a unique and beautifully designed park, Lotte World has it all. It's an essential stop on any trip to Seoul.

Hwaseong Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is situated near Suwon, South Korea. Constructed between 1794 and 1796 under the direction of King Jeongjo of the Joseon dynasty, it served as a fortification encompassing Suwon's historic city center. King Jeongjo's relocation of Crown Prince Sado's tomb from Seoul to Suwon in 1789 necessitated the construction of a new city to accommodate displaced residents. The king commissioned scholars and engineers to design a secure, convenient, and prosperous urban center. This undertaking included the construction of a robust fortification, Hwaseong Fortress, a masterpiece of Joseon Dynasty architecture. Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1997, Hwaseong Fortress attracts numerous tourists annually. Hwaseong Fortress boasts numerous palaces, a perimeter wall, four main gates, a central waterway, and extensive additional features. Access is available at any time. The area features highly-rated cafes and restaurants offering premium food and beverages. It also serves as a filming location for numerous Korean dramas. Visitors can enjoy the cherry blossoms along the perimeter wall, and nearby activities include hot air balloon rides, archery, and traditional cultural experiences. For those exploring South Korea, Hwaseong Fortress is a must-see destination. Convenient access from Seoul is provided via the Seoul Metropolitan Subway or express subway from Seoul Station to Suwon Station, followed by a local bus to Hwaseong Fortress.

Overall I would say it’s a good experience there. There is ski rental, lockers, convenience store, Cafés, buffet, as well as Lotteria (fast food), all the necessary amenities for skiing. The mountain relies on Artificial Snow as it does not snow quite often (probably 3 times a week in mid-Dec) The price of the Snow Park was a little too expensive. There a different types of Ski Pass, including all day (9am to 10pm), 1pm pass as well as well as Night Ski (6-10pm) **closed from 4-6pm for night ski preparation Most staff there speak Korean too (only some speak English) How to get there (from Seoul): Book coach bus/pre book taxi ride/KTX bullet train Recommend KTX bullet train. Only 1h 30min ride from Seoul Station There is a FREE shuttle bus available to and from Phoenix Pyeongchang. Goes around Pyeongchang town which includes KTX Pyeongchang Station as well as Bus Terminal. If you are taking KTX there, you can take the shuttle bus. The only problem with the shuttle is that if you are carrying luggage(s), you may have a hard time because you have to climb up the bus. Also, the official website can be improved. A lot of information cannot be found there. (Ski lift opening hours, price etc.).

Loved the experience here. My first time learning to ski and the instructor was a young but expert competitive skier from Argentina who taught so well that i was able to do the east slope within a few hours! The place has got flipped for all classes, for skiing out for snowboarding, and it’s quite easy to rent the equipment for all activities.

Water & Amusement Parks
Theme park
Everland is a renowned amusement park in South Korea, offering a wide array of attractions across its themed zones such as Global Fair, American Adventure, Magic Land, Zootopia, and European Adventure. The park hosts various themed festivals throughout the year and is famous for its T-Express wooden roller coaster. Additionally, it features the Korean Folk Village and provides access to natural parks and hiking trails in Yongin.
Everland is one of the best amusement parks you can visit! I used to work at Samsung, so I was lucky to get a company discount on the tickets. We drove there around 1 PM and arrived at about 2 PM. We spent around 8 hours enjoying all the rides, shows, and attractions. Compared to similar places in Vietnam, Everland is definitely better in terms of scale and quality. The safari is especially impressive — the animals are huge and healthy, which makes the experience even more exciting! If you have kids, I highly recommend visiting this place. It’s fun for the whole family!

Fun and Unique K-Pop Experience at Everland! We visited Everland and stopped by the K-Pop Demon Hunter pop-up experience, and it ended up being a major highlight of our day! The whole setup is super immersive, with lots of themed activity and photo stations that kept both kids and adults engaged. The line took about 40 minutes, but it was worth the wait. Once inside, there was so much to do, from dress-up stations to face painting, and everything was well-organized and visually impressive. The staff were friendly and helped guide everyone through the different areas. Our kids had the absolute best time, they were fully into the K-pop vibe and loved posing for pictures. The whole space is very Instagram-worthy too, so don’t forget your camera. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re at Everland while the pop-up is running, great mix of fun, creativity, and K-pop flair!

A must place to visit for theme park lovers. Date of visit: Weekday, Late October. - The theme park is divided into multiple sections which covers the whole family (children to adults). - The park was not that crowded (waiting time for most rides was reasonable). - The weather was perfect (cool but not that cold). - The park size is just right (not too big to be overwhelming but not too small either). You can easily see most of the place in one day. Overall, this is one of the best theme parks that I have visited. A solid recommendation from me.
Mansour A — Google review
I love this place, it has a lot of things. Ranging from thrill rides to normal rides and even a zoo with variety of animals including Jiabao and LeBao. The weather was perfect when we went, upon arrival in the morning there were busses of kids rushing and running towards the exciting rides. I’m not sure if that is normal on a weekday of November or it just happen to be. We had QR code and we didn’t had to wait to enter, it was immediate. Highly suggest to wear your best sport shoes, a lot of waiting (20-60mins per ride) and walking was required. Took us around 20k steps for the entire day and was definitely fun but drained.

Finally had the time to write a review for my January trip to Seoul! Visiting Everland has always been on my wishlist because of my favorite panda family – Ai Bao, Le Bao, Fu Bao, Rui Bao, and Hui Bao 🐼. I’ve been following their videos on YouTube for so long, and it was such a dream come true to finally see them in person. I had to queue twice to catch a glimpse, but it was worth every moment. Since it was the cold January season, the park wasn’t too crowded, which made the waiting time much shorter and more enjoyable. The experience was truly heartwarming. On top of that, I couldn’t resist bringing home lots of panda themed souvenirs. Every piece a reminder of this memorable visit. Truly a happy and unforgettable experience at Everland!

Everland was a fantastic experience all-around. My favorite part was the zoo, which included a great Safari Ride experience. The other rides were too long of a wait during my short availability in that area. Going during the week was best to avoid huge crowds, but there was also a ton of field trips during our visit which caused a bit of congestion. Arrival early at opening to experience most of it quicker than others, or multiple times if you like.

The best theme park. Better than sunway, & vietnam. But universal studio singapore more thrilling. Still high quality rides, safari fun & feel safe.

I came to the park after 5 pm, so most of the cute animals clocked out by the time I entered. So, if yoi want to see cute animals, come early. However, ticket is cheaper in the evening, but expect the crowd.

Korean Folk Village is a living museum that offers a glimpse into traditional Korean homes and customs, along with dining options and a theme park. It features various attractions, including Everland, one of South Korea's largest theme parks. The village replicates life during the Joseon Dynasty period and provides opportunities to learn about and experience Korea's traditional culture. Visitors can enjoy traditional performances, comedic courtyard plays, LED shows, and encounters with Joseon-era ghosts.
Its like walking into the past. This was such a treat. The exhibits, the food, the fun. I was absolutely amazed, and overwhelmed by it all. It really took me back in time. I.love it. I will definitely come back. Great for kids of all ages. Plenty of food and restrooms and water. So many options to engage with the past.

Tickets were 17000krw (promotion) in November. Fall colours here are very beautiful, and there are performances throughout the day. Very family friendly and there were many school groups visiting. We packed lunch before coming over but there was no real need as the market has many food options. Surprised to see toilets everywhere and they blend in to the surrounding buildings. Overall, it was a great experience, great to escape the Seoul crowds (and take a chance to visit Suwon and surrounding attractions)
Bo L — Google review
The Korean Folk Village is a must-visit cultural attraction that offers an immersive journey into Korea’s past, particularly the Joseon dynasty era. Located in a beautiful natural setting surrounded by trees and gentle hills, the village is spacious, atmospheric, and incredibly well maintained—making you feel as though you’ve truly stepped back in time. We were amazed by the variety and authenticity of the traditional homes, noble palaces, and village structures, each meticulously preserved or reconstructed. From the homes of aristocrats to the humble dwellings of commoners and craftsmen, every area paints a vivid picture of how people from different walks of life used to live, work, and interact. You can explore old markets, kitchens, blacksmith shops, pottery workshops, and more. One of the highlights was watching live performances featuring people dressed in traditional hanbok, performing folk dances, music, and acrobatic displays. These cultural performances brought the entire place to life and added an authentic festive vibe. You can also rent traditional costumes and walk around the village for your own immersive experience. We highly recommend visiting on a weekday, when the village is less crowded and easier to explore at a leisurely pace. An unforgettable cultural experience for both locals and tourists alike.
Mimo E — Google review
I loved the experience of visiting this place! I was able to learn about history and culture through the beautifully recreated settings. The traditional dance and music performances were amazing, and I truly felt like I had traveled back to the Joseon Dynasty era.

Very impressive, interesting and huge. Forget the show, it's not worth it (my opinion). If xou are there during Halloween do the haubted houses, but you need to buy tickets very earlsäy as it will sell out.
André H — Google review
We were lucky to see a traditional Korean wedding, it was beautiful dancing. The village is fun for adults and kids, you can put yourself in the time of the Joseon dynasty and just walk around to see how people lived. There are a lot of activities for kids as well, they will have fun in the water park in the Summer. People can make pottery in the workshop. There is a decent amount of food to choose from as well, which is pretty good (not gourmet but tasted ok). There are some exhibits to help you understand what life was like during the Joseon dynasty. There is a rental place so you can dress in Hanbok if you want to embrace the history (many people do). We visited on a weekday so it wasn't super busy, this is what I'd recommend.
Rob M — Google review
Discounted admission of 19,000 Won on Monday. Very worth it. We enjoyed the various performances, village and amusement rides. It is easy to take an express bus to go on your own. We spent 5 hours there including eating delicious Sellongtang (beef) and Ginseng chicken soup.
R H — Google review
This is a theme park of Korea during the Joseon dynasty. Mostly it’s old style houses from different regions and social classes, very interesting if you are into that sort of thing. There are some music or dance shows throughout the day, I would highly recommend to see them. There is also a mini world museum with photos and artifacts from all over the world. There is an also a carnival part with attractions for kids, a museum of Korea, a few restaurants, shops and some activities to do like horse riding or archery. A lot of things are closed during the weekdays tho, like the horror experience house. I would say it’s a nice experience if you have some extra days in Seoul and you really want to learn more about the history of the country. My only suggestion would be to add more activities for adults, there are some things to do but it felt like half were designed for kids. For a better reference I would suggest to look at Edo World close to Tokyo in Japan.

Museum SAN is a picturesque gallery situated in a serene mountainous backdrop that showcases contemporary art and sculptures. The museum boasts an impressive architectural design that seamlessly blends with the natural environment. Though some may feel the exhibitions lack focus, they are still captivating, particularly Nam June Paik's artwork. This modern gallery offers a unique experience as visitors can interact with the striking exhibits, including interactive sculptures.
Have you ever heard the name, Ando Tadao? He is one of the greatest architects in the world. Yes, Museum SAN was designed by the master. Interesting right? It is a must see. This will be so epic experience to you. Trust me. Even though I am not familiar with the arts, I could fully acknowledge the value of Museum SAN. For your information, according to their website, the parking area can contain 196 cars.

What an amazing museum and experience. It’s a lovely place designed by an amazing architect, and the artwork is also special. I took part in a tour which I highly recommend doing in order to get an in depth explanation of the design.

One of the, if not the top museum in South Korea. It occupys an expansive area with the mountains with all round breathtaking views. Admittedly, the architecture by Taodao Ando is so impressive that it over shadows much of its interior displays (the outdoor sculptures, especially the mega sized ones doesn't get shines out). The interior architecture is also really interesting with some special corners which are great for photos. At its back is the stone garden, which is a series of curious humps with meditative spaces below. Near it's entrance building is a paid exhibition (costs extra) in an semi underground building that you descends into that is acoustic when you stand in it. The artworks are sparse as one of the main highlight is the building built semi underground that feels like a bunker. Tip: Two of the best places inside the buildings are the cafe (with an outdoor patio that overlooks the mountain) and a triangle meditative space in the middle of a building that is filled with nothingness but rocks and raw cement wall, hence great for some mediation.
Rtexal T — Google review
Absolutely stunning and worth a trip museum! Do yourself a favour and go for the signature ticket. It costs around 69000 won, pretty much, but it covers the entire complex, lets you visit the fabulous art works of James Turrell, Tadao Ando, others and includes a meditation session. We finished the visit with the signing bowl meditation and left the museum with a beautiful feeling. The only downside is the loud and disrespectful behaviour of some customers, but it seems that it’s limited to only these areas where you’re allowed to take photos (it’s pretty sad that so many people seem to visit the art galleries only for a few snaps and a cute cafe). There’s so much more beyond it in this museum!

"Museum Mountain, the art gallery I've been meaning to visit for a year. When my lovely and adorable girlfriend suggested going, I felt so happy. We set off after enjoying some buckwheat noodles, arriving at Museum Mountain just as the rain began. I thought the museum nestled in the mountains would be even more charming in the rain, and it truly was – bustling with people yet still retaining its allure. It was simply beautiful, like a museum within mist within a highway within mist. The sound of rain mixed with the garden's water, making it feel like sheer luck brought us here. And let me tell you, the soft serve ice cream at the entrance is a must-try, even if it costs 7,000 won. You might think it's pricey, but trust me, the rich milk flavor and nutty cookie taste are worth every penny. It's unlike any ice cream I've ever had before!" -BOFF

A must visit if you love architecture and concrete works. Pro tips - rent a car if you are comfortable driving in Seoul because it’s about 100km from the city center.
Brunei T — Google review
Tucked away above an over priced golf course is an expensive museum with 3 incredibly maintained gardens and the best cafe experience I've had in ages. The tickets are 28 for the full exhibition and 15 for just the permanent exhibition. The special exhibition closes at 5, so we could only enjoy the permanent one but it's worth 15$ for the experience. The mountain view is spectacular. It feels so removed from the daily grind of the city. It's a great getaway. Surprisingly more families with little kids than expected. They have some interactive programs for kids if you go early, and some programs like concerts if you look at there schedule in advance. Highly recommend it. Only an hour or so from southern Seoul.

It was my first time here. but I am pretty sure not last time. This museum was so different, I have been a lot of museums but this one was the best that I have ever been. I liked each corner here , it`s so aesthetic, would like to stay here for an hours to explore each corner. I put here a lot of photos so you can feel the atmosphere of museum. Yeoju Premium Outlets is one of South Korea’s top outlet malls, located about an hour from Seoul. With over 270 stores, it offers luxury brands like Gucci, Burberry, Prada, and Moncler, along with great discounts on fashion, sports, and lifestyle items. The open-air, European-inspired layout makes for a pleasant stroll, and I really liked the art installations and sculptures scattered around. There are also a few Starbucks locations on-site, perfect for resting and recharging between shopping sprees, along with other cafes and dining spots. Getting There: Direct shuttle buses from Seoul (Dong Seoul Bus Terminal, Jamsil area) make it easy and convenient to visit. Pro Tip: Visit on a weekday for fewer crowds. If you’re looking for premium shopping, relaxing spaces, and good deals, this outlet is worth the trip!

We joined Klook tour to Yeoju outlet on a Sunday which took about 1hr 15min. We were given only 5 hrs to shop at this huge outlet so we only managed to cover the East block. But we bought so many things at great discounted prices! There is a food court there selling Jap/Korean/fast food too.

Yongin Dae Jang Geum Park is a renowned tourist destination in Korea that features outdoor film sets exhibiting buildings from the Samguk, Goryeo, and Joseon periods. It is known as the largest historical drama open set in Korea and offers visitors a chance to experience popular K-pop dances and choreography through its K-pop Dance Studio Class. This place is loved by those who have an interest in Korean history and drama.
This is a historical K-Drama and BTS fan's dream, or if you just like to visit sets. Booked this as part of the BTS ARMY tour to see where Yoongi (Agust D, Suga) filmed the MV for 'Daechwita.' Though I don't really watch sageuk shows, I am familiar with "Moon Embracing the Sun", which was filmed there. We had visited a palace the day before, so it was wild to see some of the exact type buildings used here. They did a great job in reproducing the buildings. And as we toured, we realized the 1 show we had seen, which ws historical had parts filmed here. It's owned by the channel MBC, who rents it out to others to film there. And of course, it was amazing to see where Yoongi filmed his MV - being the "king" and "boss" that he is. It's about 1.5-2 hrs outside of Seoul depending on traffic, so I think a tour is best. But if you're doing road trips, then once you get out of the city, it would be a nice drive. If you do the little tour where they drive you around on the cart, you'll be able to see the underground jail area, which we got to see. They still actively film here, but we're not filming this day. So if they are, areas could be closed off, but you might get to see areas like the marketplace set up for filming with goods and props, which would be neat.

An Unforgettable, Exclusive Glimpse into K-Drama Magic at MBC Studio! Our recent visit to the MBC Studio was an absolutely phenomenal experience – truly beyond expectations! What made it particularly special was the incredible stroke of luck: we had the entire bus to ourselves on the tour! This immediately set a wonderfully intimate and personal tone for the whole day. Upon arrival, we were thrilled to discover that the studio itself was not overcrowded at all. This rare tranquility allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in every exhibit and area without any rush. It was genuinely a dream for taking beautiful, unobstructed photos, capturing every detail of the sets and interactive displays. We have so many stunning shots to cherish! The absolute highlight, however, was witnessing the preparations for a new K-Drama firsthand. This was an incredible, exclusive insight that most visitors never get. Seeing the meticulous work, the sets being readied, and feeling the buzz of an upcoming production was genuinely thrilling and made the entire experience feel incredibly unique and privileged. For anyone who loves K-Drama or is simply curious about the magic behind the scenes, an MBC Studio tour is a must-do. But if you're lucky enough to experience it like we did – with a private feel and a peek at a new drama in the making – it's an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime adventure! I hope this review perfectly captures your wonderful experience!

Tricky to get here BUT not impossible. Take bus from Namby bus from Seoul for ₩5,600 then take a bus or a taxi ( taxi stop next to stop) . The location is breathtaking. The place has 2 cities: one town , other is a palace. You can take aa many pictures as you like. I was about 2.5 hrs here. There is a small cafe, and water/juice machines. Watch the weather. Make sure is sunny and if you can: come in Hanbok.

Independence Hall of Korea is a museum that showcases Korean history and the country's independence movements under Japan's colonization. The exhibits are well curated and presented in both Korean and English. Visitors can also experience a 4D theater. Entry to the museum is free, and there is ample parking space available for up to 2,000 vehicles.
This was a great park and museum, very well done, informative and entertaining! This monument to independence was a great reminder of what the independence of a nation can and does mean! Coming from a country myself where our Independence is celebrated fervently, I am happy to see how proud and meaningful it is to South Korea as well! The exhibits were well thought out, cleverly done in places, and take you linearly through the independence movement and history of the great nation of South Korea! Kudos to the designers with interactive, educational, and historically significant moments captured vividly, expressing the emotion involved with the strife associated with gaining one's own independence for their nation! Kids and adults alike can learn and be taken aback by the spectacle of what it means to be FREE!

The Independence Hall of Korea stands as a poignant testament to the nation's tumultuous history, particularly during the period of Japanese colonial rule. Located in Cheonan, this museum meticulously chronicles Korea's arduous journey to independence, showcasing a rich array of artifacts and exhibits. The carefully curated displays offer a profound insight into the sacrifices and resilience of those who fought for freedom. The architectural grandeur of the hall adds a solemnity that complements the gravity of the historical narrative. For visitors seeking a profound understanding of Korea's struggle for independence, this museum stands as an indispensable educational and emotional experience.

The Independence Hall of Korea looks mesmerizing and ecstatically beautiful the day we went there. It was totally covered with snow. No matter how far your eyesight 👁️ goes , you will see only snow, snow and snow. For a moment i felt like i am in some kind of snow festival area. The place is quite and calming. Mountains and trees were covered with snow. Now I have a habit of searching about places and researching about them before i go there. I see the reviews and the pictures and everything so that my money, time and energy doesn’t go to waste. So I searched about this place and i saw a couple of pictures and the place seems to me beautiful but the pictures are of different season and there’s no winter pictures, so at first i was scared whether we should go there or not in winter but i am glad we made the decision of taking the risk of going there. To my amazement we did right. It was beautiful! Now coming to the inside of the Hall there are a number of halls, it was a huge complex so we were able to see only 6 halls. The pictures and videos you can watch below👇🏻 The place has a huge parking lot with 2000-3000 korean won. And the entrance fee to the Hall is free free free😎

Really nice experience for my history loving child. You need some few hours to actually look through. We did not have much time and couldn't really look everything we wanted. Has plenty of fun activities so the kids can get engaged here and there. Warning- it is farther than you think from the parking. Lol * it is free but there's minimal parking fee.(something like 2 dollars i believe)

It boasts unique features that set it apart from other caves, making it an incredibly beautiful destination for adventure seekers. The cave requires visitors to be prepared for many stairs and a long walk, but the experience is worth the effort. Gloves are provided to ensure better grip on slippery handrails. Overall, visiting Gosu Cave is a memorable and amazing experience that should not be missed.

Guided tours are often available, and there are informational displays throughout the cave to help visitors learn about its geological and historical significance.

Definitely worth the visit! The cave is so unique, and it's kind of an easy hike inside the cave. Although, it's quite wet, dark and cold. I suggest to bring more clothing in the summer as it is 15 degrees inside the cave. I don't recommend for young children or elderly as it can be slightly dangerous. The views are spectacular though! If I could read korean I would learn way more!

Awesome cave; but not for the larger stomached. Your average large American would have difficulty traversing through some places. The path is really well made (all aluminum walkways welded in place) and the interesting parts of the cave are beautifully lit. The walk is about 1.7 km and takes less than an hour. I would highly recommend this destination

Sangdang Sanseong Fortress

Mentioned on

Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Sangdang Sanseong Fortress is an ancient compound nestled in the mountainous landscape, featuring stunning gardens, a serene lake and fortified walls that offer panoramic views of the city. This architectural marvel can be reached by embarking on an enjoyable 3.4 km hike from Cheongjuland that takes around 30-40 minutes to complete. While the initial kilometer of the trek may be relatively steep, it eventually leads to a normal walking path spanning 2-3 km.
It's a nice scenic hike. Nothing spectacular, but nice enough to see the view of the city. It took roughly an hour to go around depending on how many stops you make. Definitely wear runners and active wear as I did not do that. Make sure to stay away during the rainy season as it can get dangerous.

Loved the place, but wear comfortable shoes because you will walk a lot.
Burcu K — Google review
The parking lot is not that big but this place is big for every one to sit on the mat enjoying the day. Some ppl even bring tent. Maybe it is forbiden here to cook here but you can just bring food and eat it here. As you can see from the picture, fall folliage is so pretty. It is red on the one side and yellow on the other side. Although the gingko leaves are 50%left, some trees even left 10~20% leaves only. Autumn is really perfect time to have a picnic.

Very pretty! The garden on the back is also very pretty with different flowers and plants. They had a free tasting of flower tea.

Andong Hahoe Folk Village

Historical landmark
Andong Hahoe Folk Village is a charming riverside village that offers a glimpse into traditional Korean culture during the Joseon Dynasty. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is renowned for its traditional mask-making and other crafts. To avoid crowds, it's best to visit during off-peak times and explore the bucolic countryside setting.
Gorgeous traditional village! Definitely worth a visit to see this window into Korean culture. The mask dance performance at 2-3pm is also a must-see. Caught a taxi from Andong Bus Terminal for 27900 won. Although it’s more expensive than the 210 bus, catching a taxi only takes about 20-30 minutes compared to the hour plus on the bus. Stayed overnight at Jisan House Hanok. Really enjoyed this experience. It was a beautiful Hanok surrounded by green mountains. The host even provided rice cakes and coffee for breakfast and helped us call a taxi in the morning.

Amazing to see in person. Nice to walk around and see the different buildings. Incredible that people actually live there. Shuttle bus there and back was a bit too crowded for my liking, but the ride is short…3 min. Well worth the visit.
Cedric C — Google review
Must visit this historical village!!! Getting a car is much easier to approach but there’s local bus to this village.(210 bus, 30 minutes) And if you arrive in Andong station or bus terminal before noon, you would be able to visit Byounsan Seowon(Check time table!!) first then visit this village. For me, renting a bike is better to look around than walking. (Plus you can save time if you don’t have a car!)
Jiin K — Google review
Definitely worth the visit. It is a living traditional korean village. Very historical and fun place to walk around. Loved the mask and shaman history. Made me.feel like we (humanity) were all connected. Highly recommend visiting.

A well preserved Hanok village, showing how the houses and streets were like back in the days. Some people are still living there so be considerate when exploring. The folk village is particularly famous for its mask performances, which is regarded as a UNESCO cultural heritage. However, it’s a little slow-paced for me and I only watched about 3/4 of it. To get here, one can either drive and then take a shuttle bus in, or take bus 210 from Andong bus terminal / Andong KTX station.
Hong W — Google review
very beautiful and super peaceful village. not so much wait for the shuttle but it was in may, week day. if you want to eat, only place where you can find food is near the ticket office, not in the village once you too the shuttle bus. you can go out and come back with the same tickets though and the shuttle takes max 15min (drive is very short but you need to wait either for the bus to be full to leave or wait to get a in)
Lily V — Google review
Although the actual village living area was quite small grouped into a compact neighborhood, it's features pretty much represented the quaint and pragmatic lifestyle of an old era. The location however is absolutely breathtaking, high up overlooking the reservoir and nestled within such colorful vegetation; one couldn't feel sorry for residents of yore lacking in many modern amenities bc they had this terrific vista to feed their soul. It seemed like a real healthy kind of living as well. No wonder Koreans are mostly slim and fit
Freda M — Google review
This charming Korean folk village, set against the backdrop of a scenic river, offers a truly beautiful experience. Visitors can even dress up in traditional hanbok, adding to the authenticity of the visit. Highly recommended!

The Bogyeongsa Temple, constructed during the 7th century, is renowned for its waterfalls and peaceful surroundings. Situated in the Naeyeonsans National Park, this vast temple comprises exquisite pavilions and shrines. The welcoming monks make it an ideal destination to explore from Pohang. It also offers a scenic hiking trail that becomes more challenging as you go further along. While the first segment caters to everyone, the remaining path provides a genuine mountaineering experience.
Bogyeongsa is a beautiful and serene temple nestled in the mountains of Pohang. It offers visitors not only a glimpse into Korea’s rich Buddhist heritage but also a chance to enjoy the beauty of nature. One of the temple’s biggest highlights is the hiking trail that winds past a series of stunning waterfalls—twelve in total—each offering a unique and peaceful view. The trail is well-maintained and suitable for most hikkng levels, making it a rewarding walk for casual hikers and nature lovers alike. As you explore, the tranquil sounds of flowing water and the backdrop of forested hills create a truly meditative atmosphere. Whether you’re interested in history, spirituality, or simply looking to enjoy a scenic hike, Bogyeongsa is a must-visit destination in the region.

I visited Bogyeongsa Temple with my family on May 4, 2024. For Buddha's Birthday, one of S. Korea's public holidays, is near, the temple was nicely decorated. Many people visit this temple for praying to Buddha to make a wish. It takes around 20 minutes from the big parking area to Bogyeongsa Temple. The angle of sidewalk is not that stiff, easy to walk. On the way to this temple, there are many local food restaurants and some coffee shops as well. Enjoy.
Junhyuk S — Google review
Beautiful and peaceful temple surrounded by mountains. Mostly visited by locals, so it’s quiet and relaxing compared to touristy spots. The temple buildings are colorful and well-kept, with a calming atmosphere. After visiting, there’s a nice walking trail through the forest that leads to several waterfalls — the scenery is amazing, and the sound of the water makes it even more peaceful. The walk is not too hard, and you can enjoy fresh air and nature the whole way. A perfect place to enjoy both culture and nature in one visit.

Our visit to Bogyeongsa Temple near Pohang during our 2015 visit, and with Abunim and Omanim caught the bus, had lunch in the village just beyond the Temple grounds, then walked the long tree lined shaded path into the quiet and peaceful grounds of Bogyeongsa. Circumnambulating the Stupa, bowing before the Buddha images in the great hall, making a donation for a tile to help maintain and build the temple structures for future visitors, sitting quietly, listing to the stream, enjoying each others company and time together in the blessings of the Temple Buddhadhamma field. 🙏🙏🙏😊🌼🤌❤️ Perfect.

My friend and I decided to come visit this temple while we were sightseeing in Pohang. As we drove up, we realized that we had come unprepared. We were dressed in street clothes while everyone else was wearing hiking outfits. The temple itself can easily be seen in an hour or so and this includes many picture breaks. This was perfect for our plans because we had more places we wanted to go. I would suggest, however, that when you visit, you come prepared with proper clothes, snacks, and water for a day of hiking. I have visited many temples in Korea and I'm unsure if I was just not as observant when I visited the others, but this temple had some lovely paintings on the outsides of the buildings. Cost of admission was ₩3,500 for adults. I did not have to pay for parking.

Visited the Homigot Sunrise Square as part of the best of Pohang tour. I really love all the cute octopus sculptures around the square! Just a lovely landscape for an easy walk around and enjoy the view of the sea stretching to the blue sky. Bathrooms available around the park and a convenient store right in front of the sea! Plenty of parking next to the bathroom.

A good place to have a picnic here. Don't forget to take a picture with the iconic hand statue. You can visit this place for free. The location is quite far. It takes around 60-90 minutes from the Pohang Bus Terminal. You can go there by bus/taxi
Ellana A — Google review
This is one of the most famous tourist spots in Pohang that you need to see. I suggest you come in spring or summer, as in cold times, the wind is very strong and cold. For some people this can be a big problem. Here you will find some restaurants and cafes. You will also find souvenir shops. Parking is large and free. There are usually a lot of people visiting the place, so come early to be able to photograph the attractions without having to fight for the best place to take the photo.

Yangdong Folk Village

The Yangdong Folk Village is a traditional rural area that boasts numerous historic structures, including authentic thatch-roofed houses. It's an ideal destination for families, although commuting can be challenging as only two buses serve the village and walking over one kilometer from the highway is necessary. Pohang Bus Terminal or Gyeongju Express Bus Terminal are both options for transferring to a bus to reach the village.
It is listed in UNESCO world heritage. You can go there by bus (need to check the schedule) or by taxi. You can try to spend a night at Hanok accomodation there. The tickets can be buy onsite. Many families go there during the holiday. Overall it's good
Ellana A — Google review
This place sparked my interest since I’m interested in learning the history of the region/country. We visited this place during the week and we had no issues parking our car on the free parking lot as it was almost empty. When buying tickets - 4,000 Won per adult - we didn’t have to wait at all. The village is nice with some very old buildings. I only wish some of the buildings would be more accessible/open to the public. Every building was basically closed for the public and you could only see the building and patios. All the shrines were closed off. Some of the old buildings have a massive accumulation of garbage and personal things since people still live there. Sometimes there was so much garbage that we almost became disgusted about certain houses. One house had a little dog outside on a chain; the animal had no water and food and there was dog poop all over the place. The dog had no place to run since he was chained up (7 ft chain) and the only bit of shade he had was from his little dog house which was standing there in the burning sun! If this is a cultural heritage site then I would expect better maintenance, more accessibility, and more respect to the land from the people that live there. To be honest, one visit to this place was more than enough for me. I wouldn’t go back. I took a bunch of pictures to try to get some of the beauty of the buildings.

Yangdong Folk Village is a must-visit UNESCO World Heritage Site if you're in Gyeongju. It is located pretty far up north, but there are buses that go to this place from the city centre. The village was founded by Son So (孫昭 1433–1484). There are English speaking local guides who will bring you around upon request (free!). The entrance fee was around ₩4,000~5,000 per pax from my memory. Yangdong Folk Village also has one of the oldest trees in South Korea, of over 600 years (see my attached photos)! It felt absolutely majestic to see it up close. Wikipedia: Yangdong Folk Village (Korean: 경주양동민속마을), or Yangdong Village of Gyeongju, is a traditional yangban (upper class) village from the Joseon dynasty. The village is located in Gangdong-myeon, sixteen kilometres northeast of Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea, along the Hyeongsan River. Mt. Seolchang stands to the north of the village. The village is designated as Important Folklore Materials No. 189 by the South Korean government. The size, degree of preservation, numerous cultural assets, traditionalism, beautiful natural setting all contribute to the importance of Yangdong Village. It is also a fine example of the yangban (Korean aristocracy) lifestyle and Neo-Confucian traditions. The village is listed by the South Korean government with UNESCO as a World Heritage Site with Hahoe Folk Village in 2010.
SeungJun K — Google review
I visited around 11 AM. We took a bus from the city center, then walked about 7–10 minutes from the gate to reach the village. At the entrance, the security guard gave us the 203 bus schedule, which is helpful for planning your visit. Interestingly, we didn’t buy any tickets — there was no one at the ticket booth, so we’re not sure if it was free or just unmanned that day. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, but it felt a bit quiet. I’m not sure how many people still live there — we only saw a few tourists, not many locals. There were only about two shops selling coffee and snacks, so options are quite limited. Still, it was a nice experience and worth a visit if you’re interested in learning more about traditional Korean houses and village life.
Ngoc D — Google review
Wow a fascinating experience! So charming! I understand what the other reviewer said about being disappointed many houses being closed off- well, residents are still living there and of course they don’t want strangers coming inside their house. Yes some residents live sloppily and have garbage strewn, but what can you do- that is how they choose to live. Many of these residents are older folks and do not live fancy lives. Though they should be more understanding of tourists walking around to take photos. Also better signage is needed. Even with the map, it was quite confusing. And yes, it would be nice if they could open up some more of these homes and let us take a look inside. Surely they could use the entrance fee we pay to do this. There are some famous houses you can enter and take photos, though a lot of interiors were closed. Many houses were converted into rental housing sadly. But it’s still a fascinating place. Korea has had much of it’s traditional structures razed and burned by the Japanese. It’s a marvel that this village still exists intact. And it is frankly charming. So charming. Little Korean hobbit homes. I loved it. Great photos. It’s quite vast and we spent 3 hours here and yet it wasn’t enough time. But we were tired after 3 hours. Stop by the tour guide shack and inquire if there are any tours. Bring a little snack in case you get hungry. I definitely would come back- I found the entire village to be so charming.
Jean Y — Google review
This is a village designated for world cultural heritage. You can see traditional houses of korean style, streets and their living style here. Very beautiful and peaceful, and you can feel traditional fresh air on walking aroud the village. You should pay some money for entrance fee but is not expensive, approximately 3 dallars an adult. If you have a chance to visit Gyeongju, South korea, absolutely you have to go once.
YOUNGHO ( — Google review
It is a very traditional village that requires a lot of walking. Lot of nice view of old style architecture and many trees along the way but the weather is so hot when I visited. Got a few cats in the village too. You can also see some vegetables growing in the farmland. Along the way you can visit the Mucheomdang House, Daeseongheon House and the Songcheam Head House.
Jianhui — Google review
Yangdon Village, Gyeongju Our last stop of the day was Yangdon Village, (wish we could have skipped the Grotto and come straight here) after all we were 9 hours on the road without lunch break! It was certainly a most worthwhile destination, wished that my legs didn’t give up so early to walk the entire village, a truly remarkable story, as explained below! (Credit goes to Trazy Blog, a site which I found most informative and worth using as a guidance!) Yangdong Village is the largest traditional village in Korea, which demonstrates the typical culture of the Joseon Dynasty. There are about 160 old houses and 500-year-old thatched-roof houses in this beautiful village. You can also enjoy elegant surrounding views that blend with old houses. Totally worth it, (took us almost 2 hours to drive back to Busan) if I would plan again, I would to the village first, then the Bulgugsa Temple, but that’s me! Enjoy the Photo’s wish I could have taken more! #busan #southkorea #touristystuff #gyeongju #yangdonvillage #history #sightseeing #koreatourism

Seokguram Grotto, located on Mount Toham in South Korea, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient Buddhist sculptures and stunning sea views. Visitors can take a bus from Bulguksa Temple to reach this historical hermitage. The grotto features a beautifully sculpted Buddha statue inside a small cave, surrounded by various figures following the Indian tradition of carving images of the Buddha on stones and natural caves.
Its an amazing heritage site with an ancient temple with Buddha Statue. The bus ride to the top of the mountain in the afternoon was very thrilling. The last bus to return to the main bus station is 5.40 pm. Really nice place to visitt

The route to this place has lovely views on a windy road suitable for motorcycles to enjoy the bends. A short walk along a path to the granite statue. It was a pity after Covid that people are not allowed in to the cave where the statues are. And no photos are allowed to be taken either. So feels like a waste to go all the way there and not able to take photos of a beautifully carved statue and cave.
D C — Google review
We took a taxi and a long walk in the rain to see Seokguram Grotto, a national treasure. We were not allowed to take photos inside the statue area, and there was a glass wall that prevented us from entering, but we could still see the statues and some of the walls. Unfortunately, we were unable to view the roof above the Seokguram Grotto statues.

Be prepared to walk to this temple. It is located on top of the hill still a good length away from the main parking lot. Once you get to the temple there are more stairs you have to take in order to get there. While there may be a lot of walking the views make up for it.

It a pity that you are not allow to take photo or video of the Buddha. It a long walk in and I will recommend you to skip this if you are in the rush of time. If not, take a slow scroll in to witness this awesome Buddha in the cave.

A must see. You can't take pictures inside but there are many places all around the temple to take photos.

Cannot see and feel much as it needs a 360° view and cannot take a photo or video - too much effort to driving up and walking to the Grotto. Not worth to trip up unless you like hiking.
Hans K — Google review
It was free admission to the grotto when I visited in June 2023. Bus fare (#12) is 1700KRW each way from Bulguksa temple. Bus schedule attached. While interesting to see, despite the glass partition, IMO it is not worth a 6000KRW admission fee + 3400KRW bus fare round trip. So I'm pleased it was free admission! I'd skip it if short on time.

Not possible to make photos or videos inside. It is very compact. In a glance, you see everything, but it is wonderful. Nice the temple close to it as well and the small walk to reach it from the parking lot

Constructed in 774, the Buddhist temple complex situated on Mount Toham boasts two pagodas. The location is breathtaking with a serene maple-tree setting that enhances the beauty of its stunning buildings designed with impressive roofing beams. Although it attracts many tourists, who flock to admire its architectural marvels and attend active prayers performed by worshippers, it still maintains a tranquil atmosphere.
Of all the temples we visited in South Korea, this one was the oldest, biggest, and also our favourite. I recommend visiting it very early or late in the day to avoid crowds. But also, take into account that some of the shrines inside start closing around 17:00 - 17:30.

Scenic and Serene This place is a must to go place when in Gyeongju. The tress.. the air and the surroundings makes it beautiful to visit specially when the weather is not hot. The inside is beautiful. This place has some kind of peace and a happy feeling. At my time of visit, the weather was nice and it was raining a little which made my day beautiful. Surprisingly there were many tourists on the same day.

Our travel group visited this this temple as we were told this is the best place to experience fall foliage, autumn in in full colours. The temple is considered as a masterpiece of the golden age of Buddhist art in the Silla kingdom. The temple surrounding is beautiful will every part of it covered in colours, I wish I could sit for a while and soak in the colours but since we were a big group we had to leave. No monks were visible on the property maybe because of too many tourist. It was a lovely experience.

This buddhist temple is well known and cherished among Koreans as it is over 1300 years old. My second time coming here after 20 years as I still had fond memories. While it was raining when I was here, the serenity and sounds of raindrop hitting the terracotta roofs adds to the effects. Check out the surrounding gardens and well maintained landscaping works.

Must go visit due to this is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism in Gyeongju. Originally built in the 8th century during the Silla Kingdom, it represents the peak of Buddhist art and historical architecture from that golden age. A lot people when enter they will drink the fresh, cold water from the temple's natural spring, believed by many to be blessed and to hold healing properties. We will see a lot stack rocks at temples as a meditative act of making a prayer, earning merit, and creating a symbolic sacred structure, while also accepting the impermanence of all things.

An old temple that got renovated multiple times through history as result of fire and Japanese invasion. The park itself is very big and will require quite a good amount of walking. There is not much to see apart from the temple itself which is not that big. We went during public holiday but there are still parking spots available that is right at the entrance of the park.
