Nestled in the heart of Yangshuo, Yangshuo Park is a vibrant oasis that beckons both locals and travelers alike. With its winding jogging trails, inviting playgrounds, and serene gathering spaces, this park is perfect for those seeking a blend of relaxation and activity. Early mornings are particularly enchanting here; as the sun rises over majestic mountain peaks, you can witness local residents practicing tai chi amidst the tranquil atmosphere.
Very beautiful place. Plenty of eatery.

Yangshuo is a fantastic destination that offers incredible value for travelers, especially by American standards. You can find a wide range of comfortable hotels starting around $20 per night. The area is packed with exciting activities for all kinds of travelers. Adventure seekers can enjoy paragliding, hot air ballooning, rock climbing, and scenic hikes. Those interested in history will appreciate the chance to explore ancient towns and ruins scattered throughout the region. Renting a moped is also a popular and fun way to take in the stunning mountain landscapes at your own pace. West Street is a major hotspot, especially in the evenings—it really comes alive with all the street vendors and crowds of tourists. It's a great place to soak in the local vibe, shop, and simply walk around. However, it's important to stay alert for scams. Some vendors may quote one price and then try to charge more at the last minute, using all sorts of clever tricks. Be polite but firm, and always double- or triple-check prices before making a purchase. I’d recommend staying between 1.5 to 3 days, depending on how much you want to explore. Overall, Yangshuo offers a unique blend of natural beauty, adventure, and cultural charm—definitely worth a visit.

Nice tranquil park very close to West Street. I stayed in Yangshuo for 10 days and was able to continue my calisthenics practice here throughout the stay thanks to the pull up bars, monkey bars, parallel bar, and numerous other bars in the park. During the morning it's such a good vibes with cool air and lots of shushu and aiyi (uncles and aunties) doing exercises, taichi, qi gong, group dancing, fan dancing and other forms of exercise. The elder community in China is very fit compared to other countries thanks to parks and communities like this. You'll definitely be more motivated and influenced by the local community here to stay fit and get moving. There is also a walking path around for walker and joggers. There are lots of trees so even during the peak sun times in summer you can spend the day under the trees to avoid the hest and get some good nature vibes. There is also a small rock you can climb up to see the view of Yangshuo from a height, it's a very easy climb with steps, takes less than 10 minutes to get to the top and good for all sizes and ages of people. The view is also quite satisfactory. Also there is a small lake/pond, which is beautiful.
Chathuranga K — Google review
The park itself offers the locals a great meeting place to engage in many social activities - playing games, exercising and testing their musical and dancing prowess, amongst other things. If you also want to learn about some local Chinese heroes, especially in the military and the communist party, you will see pictures of people who have passed away and their heroic feats memorialised around the park. There wa nothing much else to do within but just outside the park are many eateries with delicious Chinese cuisines that one can relax in .

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Yangshuo Tianlai Butterfly Spring is a must-visit destination in Yangshuo, offering a serene and natural experience. While some may argue that the attractions in Yangshuo are limited, this butterfly spring stands out as a place of genuine beauty. Visitors can immerse themselves in nature by rafting down the river or climbing Xianggong Mountain for breathtaking views of the Li River and mountains. Exploring the rural scenery is best done by cycling through the area.
Lots to do here from glass bridge, slide, cultural performance and luminous stones
Patience S — Google review
More multicolor lit up caves, meh. The performance was so-so. The outdoor grounds and view of the mountains, as well as the draw bridge, made up for the otherwise underwhelming experience.
Tony G — Google review
No butterflies, small and almost fake cave. To cross the bridge you have to pay extra and then there are about ten shops you have to pass through but nothing else. Not recommended to visit, especially if you can't speak Chinese.

Yulong River is a picturesque destination located just north of Yangshuo in Shibanqiao village. This area offers a non-touristy experience, with the opportunity to explore the scenic village and visit the Tai Chi & Kung Fu School of Master Fu. To reach Shibanqiao village, visitors can cycle along the Li River from Yangshuo center.
Yulong River – A Dreamlike Escape Yulong River is truly like a scene from a movie. The breathtaking landscape, with its towering karst mountains, lush greenery, and peaceful villages, feels almost unreal. The water is a stunning shade of blue, reflecting the sky and surrounding nature like a perfect painting. No matter where you stand, every angle offers a picture-perfect view. Whether you’re cruising on a bamboo raft or simply walking along the riverbanks, the scenery is mesmerizing. The atmosphere is calm and serene, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. If you’re visiting Yangshuo, Yulong River is an absolute must-see. It’s not just a place to explore—it’s an experience you’ll never forget.

Great place and infrastructure. Very easy to go around and has walking and bicycle paths. Not very wild as it seems and feels a bit touristic at times so if you prefer something wilder not the ideal place for you.
Raphael M — Google review
Great experience here to stroll around the river and enjoy the limestone rocks view. Unfortunately the raft we were on was made from plastic instead of bamboo.
KF Y — Google review
Another highlight for us of our tour of Guilin is the Yulong river cruise. We were provided rafts instead of boats. The rafts were modified so that we could sit comfortably. The raftsman steered the raft expertly. The scenery was so beautiful and serene. The ever present karst hills were prominent wherever we looked.
Andrew Y — Google review
Beautiful and mystic is the word! Day time its full of tourist rafts that carry two persons a time down the river. Night time the whole scenery turns mystic. Beauty of the majestic hills adds extra to the whole scene.
Mas H — Google review
One of the more beautiful and well known places in Guilin. You can get a classic scenic look of the Guilin mountains and waters. Many will recommend getting a raft and a motor cycle to see the scenery which you can do but is not necessary. Some of the best views can be seen on the bridges.
Allen L — Google review
The path along the Yulong River is one of the nicest stretches of scenic beauty there is.

月亮山

Yangshuo is a scenic mountain town in southeast China famous for its water caves, hiking, and hot springs. The town is accessible by bus or train from Guangzhou.
The Moon Hill is a interesting mountain formation in the Yangshou area. The Moon Hill can be visited by walking 1.5km up a step set of stairs. The walk is pretty rough, but you dont need to be skilled. At the top theres a platform where you can se the whole mountain. The entrance fee is 11¥ pr person.
Simon G — Google review
The moon hill is one of its kind with a moon like hole in the middle, it looks interesting. You can walk up the hill, on the way there is a temple as well which is worth visiting. We went up on a hot and humid day but still going up the steps was not much effort. Worth visiting if you are in this area.
Vijay J — Google review
Went for the photo op. The town you start at is pretty blah but the photo that takes you a few minutes might be worth it.
Lang N — Google review
I really wanted to like this place. The photos that others posted made it look like a can't miss visit. Moon hill is a popular place. When we arrived we were approached by some ladies trying to sell us tickets and water. If that happens to you, you don't have to buy from them, keep going to the entrance. Buy a ticket from the office and then go inside. The path is all paved. It will take 20 to 30 minutes to get to the top. It can get slippery if it's raining or has just rained, so be careful. When we went the weather has hot and humid. We were sweating immediately. On top of that, there were a lot of mosquitoes. So bring water and use bug repellent. When we got to the top we were approached by another lady to buy refreshments. I felt like I couldn't relax with all the mosquitoes and the lady there. We went to the platform to take photos. It is beautiful, but without any wind and the constant mosquitoes, we quickly left. The best view of moon hill is actually at the entrance. There is a wooden platform across from the trail head. Climb up the stairs and you'll see Moon Hill. It is a great view! Come prepared so you can truly enjoy the experience.
Jerome B — Google review
Another great spot for taking photos and checking in. There isn't much else nearby to explore, but the scenery is beautiful. Free entrance
Wuan N — Google review
The Moon Hill is definately worth the 30min hike. I visited in early June and there weren't many tourists, it was very pleasant. The view from the top is truly amazing.
Michal K — Google review
The real deal beats all the pics hands down. It’s a steep climb up that will leave you breathless but there are seats to stop and rest on the way up. Very friendly old ladies at the top selling drinks too. Recommended!
Kelvin L — Google review
Recommend to come early before the crowd if you want to hike up. And bring the mosquito spray. It’s not an easy hike by the way. Lots of steps

Ma'anshan Park

Ma'anshan is an amazing half day trip. The cable car ride is great, a little terrifying because it looks old and run down but it seems to run all day everyday so I gave it a go and put my own anxieties aside and wow the views are amazing. On arriving via taxi, I walked around to find the entrance to the cable car, you have to scale some stairs to find that its cash only and the price for a return cable car trip is 60RMB. NOTE that there is an elevator inside the mountain and you can take it up and back down for 10RMB each way. So if your alittle worried about the cable car safety you can walk around to the base of the mountain and find the entrance and use the elevator, its cheaper and looks to be brand new. The security staff at the top of the mountain told me the elevator height is equivalent to level 56. Once at the top via cable car, there is a small shop if you need to buy drinks and snacks. It was super hot the day I arrived and so I needed water and they had ice cold bottled water, which was a nice surprise. There are myriad of stairways to walk around the mountain top. Ive seen other comments and complaints that there are stairs to climb when getting off the cable car, but honestly it was fine. Its a mountain after all and it was very exciting and lots to explore with the narrow stair cases and towering views over the city. It is steep and a fair amount of walking but if you are adventurous then you are going to love it. If your lazy and just want to get off a cable car and sit and watch the view, this isnt for you. Once at the very peak, there is more walking to go from one end to the other, some great tree coverage and viewing decks and lots of stair cases down the other sides to walk back down, all the way to the ground if you want. Or you can walk back to the lift and take the elevator for 10RMB or you could go back and take the cable car. In my case I forfeited my return cable car ticket and spent the extra 10RMB to take the elevator down.
Michael H — Google review
Very nice views onto the city. Easy walk up the mountain (although it gets really hot). 5* for the mountain, 2* off for the management! There is trash along the steps which seem not to have been cleared for many days. Also, there are no restaurants or shops opened along the route (even though they are marked on the map) so if you didn't bring enough water with, you're out of luck on the mountain. Also, the elevator didn't work.

(Translated by Google) If you want to have a bird's-eye view of Liuzhou's scenery, you might as well go up to Ma'an Mountain on the south bank of the Liujiang River. You can choose to hike up or pay to take an elevator directly to the top of the mountain. It only takes one minute to climb from the ground to a height. If it happens to rain when you go there, there will be clouds and mist on the mountains, and Liuzhou will be a bit hazy and beautiful at that time. It's a beautiful cave in case u wanna spend the day admiring one of the scenic spot when you pay a visit to Nanning, this can be the place you should go to. Although it has entry fee that u might wanna pay at the entrance.
Awais S — Google review
It's a pity that Google doesn't allow to show its English name "Yiling cave" (although almost all users of Google maps in China are non-Chinese). The cave is very large and worthy a visit. Some spots there are really very impressive. Yet they could do better by hiring a professional to redesign the lighting systems inside. The place has a good potential to be a truly worthy attraction.

If you don't have language problems, you can negotiate directly and tour the cave, but when a group tour comes, you can see the light up like an attraction, so you can either join with another group tour or join the tour from the beginning. Safe. I came here personally, and there were no taxis on the way back. From the bus stop opposite the entrance, take Road 115 or Road K5 to Anji Station, and then take the train back to Nanning. According to legend, during the Kaixi and Jiading years of the Southern Song Dynasty (1205-1224), Taoist priest Zhou Shiqing "cultivated in a nunnery" and "sat in the Hua Rock" here. Later generations called Yiling Rock "Wangxian Rock" and built the Xianshan Temple on the top of the mountain. Here tourists can appreciate the singing and dancing styles, customs and snacks of the Zhuang ethnic minority. If you want to know more about the customs of the largest ethnic minority in Guangxi, this trip is really worth it! Located about 9 km southeast of Nanning, Qingxiu Mountain Scenic Spot Zone is renowned for its lush greenery, undulating hills, and clear air. It's considered one of the Eight Famous Sceneries of Nanning and offers a wonderful hour-long walk. Visitors can take a shuttle car to the top for panoramic views of Nanning city and visit a temple for prayer. The spot also features an orchid garden that's around a 15-minute walk from the entrance gate.
Such a lovely place to visit. A really big park which has many different areas to see. The transport within the park is good too. Friendly for elderly people.

A very very big park. Great for morning exercise. There are many attractions within the park so you have to be selective. The easy way is to take a tram to the top (when most people get off) and walking down to explore. There is only Chinese signage and even that it is not very clear. There is Buddhist temple and viewing deck at the top. The other attraction I visited is the Longxiang Tower 龙象塔, which offers a 360 view of the city. The Confucian Temple 南宁孔庙 is near the south gate.

This is an absolutely huge park or mountain with several entrances. The park is manicured throughout with several themes, with temples, gardens, lakes, bridges, etc. scattered around. To enjoy it in full, at least a good half day should be allowed and to be prepared for a lot of walking, or there are shuttle buses for different routes that would take to different beautiful spots and attractions with stops enroute. There is a metro exit right next to the Western entrance, which is most convenient. From the top, by the temple, there are observation platforms that offer a superb view of Nanning.

Good park in Nanning. RMB 20 for adult entry. Well maintained, and a lot of beautiful plants. Shuttle cars are available with RMB 5 per ride or RMB 34 for a daily ticket. You can hire a bicycle but it is not so easy to ride due to the hilly terrain.

This is a nice quiet place, suitable to come for relaxing both mind and body to get freshness and of course able to pay respect to Holy Lord Budha and Mother Kuan-im at the mountain top.

To reach the top of Qingxiu mountain, you can buy a shuttle car ticket and go to their station near the entrance gate. From the top of mountain, you can see panoramic of Nanning's city. Not only that, on the top of the mountain, there's a temple where you can pray. If you walk down of the mountain you can also find a Thailand temple. Near the entrance gate, there's a orchid garden and you need to walk around 15 minutes to reach the garden.

The paintings lie on the western bank of the Ming River (Chinese: 明江; pinyin: Míng Jiāng; literally: "Bright River") which is a tributary of the Ta River. The natural area around this cultural landscape belongs to the Nature Reserve, Ai Diem town, Ninh Minh district. On July 15, 2016, Ta Giang Hoa Son Stone Art Cultural Landscape was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The paintings are believed to be around 1,800-2,500[2] or 1,600-2,400 years old. The period when the paintings were painted was probably from the Warring States period to the end of the Han Dynasty in Chinese history. The paintings are believed to be works of art by the ancient Lac Viet people, ancestors of today's Zhuang people. Carbon dating shows that the oldest painting was painted 16,000 years ago, while the latest painting is 690 years old. The mountain's main cliffs are 170 meters wide and 40 meters high and are said to be the largest rock paintings in China. The painting is located at an altitude of 30 to 90 meters above river level with about 1,900 discrete images arranged in 110 image groups. The materials used for drawing are Hematite, animal glue and blood, creating a characteristic red color for the drawings. Depicted images include bronze drums, knives, swords, bells, and boats. Some images of humans are 60 cm tall, 150 cm tall, and some even reach 3 meters tall. Yen Tu Mountain, located in Quang Ninh, is a forested mountain famous for its Buddhist temples and pagodas. It can be accessed via cable car or by hiking. The area is known for its delicious cuisine, including fishcakes, shrimps, crabs, and seafood. During the Lunar New Year, it gets extremely crowded with visitors from all over. The mountain is considered the ancestral land of Buddhism and offers incredible views.
Yên Tử Mountain is located in Quảng Ninh Province, northern Vietnam, known as a sacred Buddhist site and a national tourist destination. It is famous for its connection to the Trúc Lâm Zen Buddhist sect, founded by King Trần Nhân Tông in the 13th century. The mountain is a peaceful pilgrimage site with many temples, pagodas, and historical landmarks spread over lush forests. Visitors can explore the spiritual atmosphere of the area, which includes notable sites like the Hoa Yên Pagoda and the Dong Pagoda. For those wishing to visit, there are convenient services such as the Yên Tử Cable Car, which takes passengers on a scenic ride to the top, offering a bird’s-eye view of the surrounding landscapes. Hiking up the mountain through its numerous stone steps is also popular, providing a more physically engaging experience. There are various facilities like rest areas, local food vendors, and guided tours to enhance the visit.

At first, we planned to go hiking, but once we got there… we immediately decided to take the cable car instead 😆 The journey was pretty easy since we just followed Google Maps. There aren’t many accommodation options in the area—just one resort with direct access to Yen Tu Mountain. The ride itself was super fun! We got to enjoy endless green scenery along the way 🌿 If you’re in Hanoi and looking for an alternative destination, you should definitely check this place out. Totally worth it! 😉

Breathtaking views, great cable-car system, holy sites and a healthy climb (even with using the cabe -car). It is a very much underrated place in the north of Vietnam. Most foreigners are not even aware of the beauty of the mountain and its pagodas. The local vendors are friendly, have everything from souvenirs to fresh coconut and cold beer. Excellent photo-ops, but so much more. Make sure to visit Yen Tu when in Hanoi or nearby.

I visited here on Lunar New Year and it was extremely crowded, so many many people from everywhere came. This place is very huge. There are 2 ways to go visit the temple on top of Yen Tu mountain - take the cable car and hike up or just only do hiking up. Because I didn’t have much time, then I chose to take the cable car and do hiking in some parts. Omg, the view is incredible, I love it. My private tour guide chose to do hikking up and we met on the top of the mountain. The way to do hikking is not difficult, even the 80 years old lady can do too, I met her on the way when I was very close to the temple on the top of mountain (definitely she did with her family, not alone). Only 1 small temple on the top of mountain but everyone come there for it. From here, you can see the view 360 degrees, so beautiful! But 1 thing I don’t like is - the safety on the top of mountain. It will be ok if you visit here on normal day, not holidays or Lunar new year because no many people. No any fences around the rocks and if many people go there at the same time, you will be hustled in the crowd. But anyway, this place is nice to go visit, just be careful when you are on the top of mountain.
D C — Google review
Considered as "the ancestral land of Buddhism". An even more interesting thing is the dividing line between Quang Ninh and Bac Giang provinces. If the East belongs to Quang Ninh province, the West of this pagoda belongs to Bac Giang province. If you don't mind crowds, and want to participate in interesting activities at the temple, you can go from January 10 to March of the lunar calendar. This is the time of the Yen Tu Spring Festival, so there are quite a few tourists from all over the world to visit. Roadside restaurants have affordable and acceptable prices You might consider staying at Legacy Resort Yen Tu

Picturesque and quiet place with lovely views. Would have given 4.5 stars but we were not allowed to drive up on a really hot day. Many flights of stairs. Thus, we couldn't make it to the top. Do aply mosquito 🦟 repellent prior.

Ba Vang Pagoda is a stunning spiritual destination located in Uong Bi, Quang Ninh. Nestled on a mountainside at 340 meters above sea level, it offers breathtaking views with lush pine forests and peaceful surroundings. The architecture is impressive, especially the main hall, known as the largest in Indochina. The pagoda is spacious, clean, and filled with a calm, sacred atmosphere — perfect for meditation or sightseeing. Visiting during festivals, like the Chrysanthemum Festival on the 9th of the lunar September, adds a unique cultural experience. A must-visit for anyone exploring northern Vietnam or seeking spiritual peace.

Amazing and beautiful! One of the biggest pagodas in the north of Vietnam. Will definitely return again someday. For those not religious it is still place worth visiting.

Ba Vang pagoda festival started from January 8th (lunar calendar) every year. The main festival day is also the birthday of the first monk of the pagoda - Zen master Tue Bich Pho Giac. The pagoda is a place to worship Buddha, a place of worship of monks and nuns, and Buddhists. Besides, the pagoda is also a place where cultural activities, religious ceremonies and ceremonies take place to meet the cultural and spiritual needs of the east. island people in the region and nearby places. Ba Vang pagoda monument is located on a very beautiful and rare geographical location, spacious premises, and a venerable foreground are the convergence of spirituality of Uong Bi land. The pagoda is invested with a large scale, many massive architectural works. With these values, Ba Vang pagoda was ranked by the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee as a 'Cultural and Historical Site' in 2007. The location is beautiful, the tourist is spiritual not to be missed. You can come any time in five extremely good service: free parking, free WC, free WiFi, free water everywhere, free veggie rice, great restaurant. Of all the pagodas we saw this was the most impressive, even seeing the monks, and people praying to their Buddha.

This is a wondèrul temple fỏ visitors. They have a nice and friendly greeting of their own. There are free water chug every where together with free drinking water pipe system. However if you notice there are free cold water on the left side of the main prayer hall if you notice. In the other hand when i was there the 430m high above the sea level top is underconstruction.. There is a nice big buíling will be built... You guy should try the 330m stair walk up, it is a very nice experience. Further more, there arent any store or convinient store in the temple, so be ready if you come by guys

Ate at the club restaurant. Great meal & service. The course looks gorgeous.

About two hour drive from Hanoi. This golf club has three nine holes for golfers to mix and play. It is very hilly, with water and hunker hazards adding to the challenge in getting good scores.

Stopped in for lunch. The need for general maintenance is required especially in the locker room / bathrooms. Course looks beautiful but go to the washroom before you arrive.

This museum gives an amazing insight into the cultures and history of ethnic groups in Vietnam. Displays are comprehensive and well prepared. I thoroughly recommend a visit to this museum for both foreign tourists and visitors from Vietnam and the broader south-east Asian region.

November 2024: the museum is dying. No visitors, all dusty, no audio guide is available. No site map. Toilet is awful, not maintained. Sad. The idea of the museum is great, the exhibitions are amazing , very interesting. Probably lack of money makes this museum stagnant
Kathy W — Google review
Went there 30 minutes before closing time. This is quite a big place so 30 minutes is definitely not enough to truly appreciate the exhibits.

One of the best museum we have been to! A lot of useful information about the ethenic groups in Vietnam. Highly recommended!

Been excited to learn more about Vietnams ethnic minorities - large museum with a lot of information and artifacts. Paid extra for English audio only to learn it’s an app you have to download and the wifi doesn’t work inside… skip it, there are English descriptions inside on everything. One of the strangest museum experiences I’ve had as it was very hot inside and out and we were the only ones visiting at that time, giving all the mannequins an extremely eerie vibe.

Great museum to visit. sadly there are not many visitors here, I went there on Sat and there are no one except for me and my friends in the museum. The museum is well presented with informative knowledge of 54 ethics groups of VN. Highly recommend to go here and experience

One of my favorite places in Thai Nguyen. My favorite Vietnamese foods are at their best here. Not to mention that all of this is in the midst of fantastic outdoor museum grounds highlighting Vietnamese ethnic cultures. Visit and enjoy it all.

Nui Coc Lake is a beautiful landscape of Thai Nguyen, likened to "Ha Long Bay on land". The lake surface is immense and calm like a giant mirror, reflecting the clouds, sky and mountains. Around the lake are small, pretty islands, creating a poetic and majestic scene. The air here is fresh and cool, bringing a pleasant and relaxing feeling. Coming to Nui Coc Lake, we can not only admire the amazing natural beauty but also feel the connection between people and legends, between reality and myth. This is truly a proud and attractive destination of the homeland.

Beautiful lake. There are two roads to access the lake, one leads you to accommodation right along the lake, one doesn't. So if you get there late in the dark, beware. Check your google maps carefully.
