First of all on the history part, Indian Naval Ship Khukri was a frigate of our Navy unit during the Indo Pak war in 1971, which sank 40 nautical miles away from Diu. The place is really worth visiting for our generation to know what happened and why. A well placed and maintained Memorial and model ship made is a mini ship same as Khukri. Recommended a visit at Evening after 6 pm if you are coming in Summer, as it's humid and sun is hard during morning slot. The Memorial is upgraded and made more tourist friendly every year, more scenic spots, more sitting places, open air auditorium like space is one more attraction. It's neat and upkeep. It's on elevated space which makes scenic views more beautiful. Electric cabs available on a chargeable basis which covers two ways costing. Suitable for all including family members it may be old or young. Food joints are there which can fulfill tourist requirements like ice cream, cold drinks, water, snacks etc.

A must visit place in diu....constructed beautifully just almost in the sea...parking space is there and battery rickshaw is there on nominal charges to reach upto the memorial, though you can walk upto the memorial which is around 300-400 mtrs from the road. Beautiful place to visit

They also charge 100pp for Indians but very well-maintained condition, and the peaceful atmosphere. Take a guide to help explain the place better. The walk can be long and steep but there are buggys to take us to most places. We also went through a secret passageway and was quite fun. Try to go early in the day or latest by 4pm- closes at 6

Diu Fort is a beautiful Portuguese Fort, which is being renovated to protect the beautiful structure from falling apart. It is still beautiful, although the weather is warm, even in October end, there are golf carts that you can hire to avoid walking all the way up to the foot and its various nooks and crannies. I strongly recommend hiring a guide so that you do not miss out on the beautiful parts of history, which may be difficult figure to just by googling out. We have visited Tulsishyam Springs many times but last we visited this when we had gone to Junagadh Gir Forest and on our way back we went to Tulsishyam springs again. This place is very famous for the hot springs in the state.Tulshi Shyaam is located on the Dhari-Una roadside in the Gir forest surroundings. This is a historical and also a peaceful place located amongst natural environment and in a small but dense forest.There are 3 hot water springs at the location with the 1st one filled with hot water, the second one filled with more hot water and the third water spring was having hot boiling water. The water is full of natural sulphur and saying goes if you take a deep full body in the water In the Indian Puranas these are refened to as 'Taptodak' .Legend says that Lord Krishna eliminated the demon called Tul and so the place is associated with his name along with that of Krishna as Shyam and is thus called Tulsishyam. You can also visit a 700 years old The Rukmani Devi Temple nearby Tulsi Shyaam. it has over 452 steps to temple so its difficult for elders.Private and state transport buses are available to reach here. If you want to stay overnight, you can stay in government guest house. Food is also available there. You should be in your room before 9 am and after 6 pm as its a forest and wild animals like lions etc roaming around. Tulsishyam Temple History The Tulsishyam Temple is located in the centre of Gir, 30 km from Una District. The moment you enter the forest, you feel the fresh air, the peace, and the thrill of knowing this is the only natural home of the Asiatic lion in the world. The landscape is stunning with thick forests, rivers, and open grasslands that make the safari feel like a real adventure. Even though we did not get to see the lion during our visit, the entire experience was still amazing. We saw plenty of deer, peacocks, monkeys, wild boars, and many beautiful birds. Watching these animals in their natural habitat makes you appreciate how well the forest is protected. The guides and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, always explaining interesting facts about the wildlife and the history of Gir. I would strongly recommend taking the early morning safari. The forest looks magical during sunrise and the chances of spotting a lion are much higher. It is also less hot, so the animals move around more freely. We left with great memories and a strong desire to come back again, because seeing the King of the Jungle is still on our list! Gir National Park is a place that reminds you how important wildlife conservation is. Even if you are unlucky with sightings, the beauty of the nature itself makes the trip totally worth it. A solid 5 stars and definitely a destination everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

There is also a safari in bus booking for 190 per person where lots of people travel together. This bus booking tour is of half n hour. The park doesn't operate full day. Mainly the timings are 6 am -11 am and then 3 pm - 6 pm. Thus there are 3 3hr safaris daily and close to 7-8 1hr safaris. We chose the 1 hr safari in Gir interpretation and shared our ride with 3 others. We saw lions, cheetah, peacock, black buck, Nil gaay, eagle, random birds, mongoose, deers. The staff says the best time to visit is early morning or late evening and there are close to 820 lions and 1200 cheetahs in the whole forest! Overall it was a good trip. Hoping to someday do the 3hr safari :)

Had an amazing experience at Gir Forest Safari! It has online and offline bookings for two types of gypsy safaris (max. 6-8 people) - a 3hr safari in Gir Sasan. The park timings are 6 am -11 am and 3 pm - 6 pm. So total 3 slot per day and each safari of 3hr daily. No plastic is allowed. No water bottles allowed. There is a place where ur guide can buy water bottles which need to be returned back. Once a lifetime opportunity.. Go in morning 6-9 and evening 3-6 which is best possible time to see lion.

The Great preserved national park of asiatic lion.lions found only in India and Africa.The forest is about 1000 square km It is spread in four district of Gujarat . There is no tiger there the guide told us that the territory of lion tiger never exist because both are king of the forest .There are so many leopards. the territory of one line is about 40 square kilometres. Last 20 years number of lions increase from 600 to about 1000. In one territory two liones never leave together. When we saw two lions together the guide told us that their brothers and their age was about 10 to 12 years. After hunting deer or nilgai (blue colour cow) and eating about 25 kg of meat lion never eat for one weak. Dera robot 1000 lion 92000 deer and about70,000 nilgai. The forest is Savannah type forest having very tall grasses which we saw first time. For jungle safari always book your slot online. The total charges for 6 person of one Gypsy was about 4700Rs. The Safari starts from devaliya Park. But for Gypsy you have to go to Sasan head office of forest Department which is about 11 km from devaliya Park. Very thrilling experience. Booking of buses is available available in Devaliya park. There are two Safari one is about 1 hour anadar is about 3 hours in open jeep. We found leopards ,lions, dear nilgai in 1 hour Safari. Many people we meet not found lion, leopards in three hr Safari also bad luck. .

My experience at Git Safari was incredible! We enjoyed exciting bus rides and were fortunate enough to see lions and various other animals. It's truly one of the best places for a jungle safari!

Not very great experience. Firstly, website to book tickets is quite confusing. What appears to be a official government site turned out to be an agent. Full payment was made online, however at the check in counter they were insisting for a partial payment. Only when the so called agent turned up everything got sorted. Counter service wasn't friendly and the guide wasn't very polite. Devalia Safari Park is a large fenced area where animals are kept. If you are lucky you could see lions. We were in the last morning slot so we only managed to see lions at a distance resting under the tree. To the best of my understanding there are 3 different safari parks in the Gir region. 1) Devalia 2) Gir 3) Ambardi If I have to visit again, I would give Devalia a miss and try the others.

Have gone to Devaliya park. Gir is closed during monsoon season. We started our journey from Junagadh and our auto driver took us through a nice village side road . Weather was good and cloudy. Map showed 1.5 hrs but road conditions are not good . It took us almost 2.5hrs . We had a online ticket done so didnt have to wait much in counter line. Though my ticket was for 4 to 4.30 i didnt have to wait and got seat at 3.15 wala bus. It was suppose to be a 30 mins ride in bus for which we paid 150 rs per person. For jeep u need to pay around 4k. We saw 4 lioness, peacock, leopard in captivity, black buck deer. It felt The trip ended as soon as it started . If u r taking the bus may be buy 2 to 3 slots over the day. The park has food area , super expensive souvenirs shops.

Gir Safari has it's own name in wild life safari. We my family i visited there, it was awesome. First, you don't need to book online tickets as it was available offline without any waiting period. Mode:-( Bus/Jeep) With my opinion Bus is much better than Jeep safari as AC is available in bus and cost in Bus per person was 190/- where Jeep safari price was 3,000/- approx. We choosed Bus. Because they ensured for 100% lion sighting and we saw. Food:- Food options are available inside it. Staff behaviour:- The driver assigned to us was a local of Sasan village. His behaviour was really good. We cooperated him and in return he allow us to watch more than the time limit. Really salute for good staff of Gujarat Tourism. Conclusion. Hard recommend place.

This dam comes en route of various routes of Jungle trail safari trips. Very large panoramic dam with crocodiles in water. You can stay here for few minutes. This is highest point of Sasan jungle area. Watchtower will allow you full view of jungle. Small bathroom facility is also available.

Very divine atmosphere and ambience, the Mandir grounds hosts the birthplace and childhood home of Yogiji Maharaj; it is a very divine place and the vibes can definitely be felt. The Utara accommodation here is very new and clean. The volunteers and Santo here are all very friendly and approachable. Free meals are provided three times daily to all. On the outside of the Mandir itself are very interesting sculptures depicting the childhood incidents of Yogiji Maharaj when he lived in Dhari.

The Darbar Hall Museum is housed in the building where the Nawabs of Junagadh held court and assemblies. The building is a riot of pink coloured walls, domes and parapets. The entrance fee is small and there’s the usual 10x entrance fee for foreigners compared to the locals. It’s also extra to take photos in the museum, twice the price entrance fee! The main rooms are Silver Room, Weapons Room, Glass & Pottery Room, Coins Room, Wood Furnishings Room, Howdah & Palanquin Room and Nawab Portraiture Room. There very little English description except in the coins room, glass room and portraiture rooms. The building is nice, but in need of TLC. The items are good quality, but the room is little more than a few items thrown together. Other than that, the museum does have some beautiful glass chandeliers that once belonged to the Nawabs. The entry price is little more than pocket change and it's nothing more than a 20 sideline of you have time. Don't bother unless you have lots of it in Junagadh.

When I look at these ancient structures on the map — the palaces, houses, deep stepwells carved by hand into the mountains without any modern materials like cement — I am filled with awe. Our ancestors built such magnificent architecture with sheer intelligence, effort, and vision. The forts standing tall on hilltops, with their perfect security systems, showcase brilliant planning and craftsmanship. It’s a salute to that era, to the people who built such wonders. Their legacy is not just beautiful — it’s something today’s world should learn from. We must respect and preserve our rich culture and history, and carry its essence forward with pride."

While Uparkot Fort is undeniably a significant historical landmark with a rich past, a visit here offers a mixed experience. The fort's sheer size and its impressive structures, such as the ancient Buddhist caves and the remarkable step-wells, are a testament to its long history. The breathtaking views from the top are a major highlight. However, despite recent renovations, some areas still show a lack of maintenance, and the overall experience could be improved with more detailed information boards and better directional signage. The entry fee might seem a bit high to some for a government-run monument, and the lack of proper parking for four-wheelers can be an inconvenience. It's a place that holds immense historical value, but visitors should manage their expectations regarding the facilities and upkeep.

Uparkot Fort is truly a gem of Junagadh! The fort is full of history, with ancient walls, beautiful stepwells like Adi Kadi Vav and Navghan Kuvo, and old Buddhist caves that show the rich culture of the past. The view from the top is breathtaking and gives a great look over the whole city. The place is peaceful and perfect for anyone who loves history, architecture, and photography. It’s a great spot to explore with family or friends. Only suggestion — the management could improve cleanliness and provide more information boards about the monuments. But overall, it’s a must-visit attraction in Junagadh! If you want to go there to see the fort , start at 7 in the morning If you go there, take a car because there is a lot of walking here. The facilities there are good, there is a water machine everywhere, there is a toilet and bathroom, and if you have difficulty walking, you can go there safely.

This historical site is a must-visit. The explanations at each point are informative. Allocate 2-3 hours to explore the entire fort. Note that outside food is not allowed, but there's an on-site restaurant, albeit with slightly higher rates. Visitors can opt for a cycle ride or EV car to navigate the points within the fort. Additionally, the Buddhist cave requires a separate ticket, which can only be purchased online. Overall, a good experience.

A truly remarkable fort with over 2000 years of history. Uparkot was first built by Chandragupta Maurya around 319 BC and later ruled by the Chudasamas, Mughals and the Nawabs of Junagadh. The fort has witnessed many battles and long sieges, which shows its great strategic importance in Saurashtra’s history. Inside the fort, you can explore the ancient Adi Kadi Vav and Navghan Kuvo stepwells, both carved deep into solid rock, and the Buddhist caves dating back to the 2nd–3rd century. The huge old cannons on the walls and the Nawabi Pond with its waterworks also reflect the engineering brilliance of that era. What makes Uparkot special is not just the structures but the stories they hold. From the top of the fort, the panoramic view of Junagadh is stunning. It’s a perfect place for history lovers, explorers and anyone who enjoys heritage sites. A must visit that brings alive the glorious past of Junagadh.

This fort is under maintenance. But still very beautiful, magnificent and hodls many stories within itself. It shows our rich culture and heritage. Its worth to visit once here if anyone has interest in history.

We visited the zoo on a Thursday and were impressed by the variety of animals, especially the dancing peacock. The safari was well-organized and enjoyable. Only few food options are there It would be more helpful if have more food options available, but overall, it was a great day out and I would definitely recommend it to families with young children.

I visited here with my family. This zoo is very big and comfortable place for birds and animals. Trusts are always taken care of this animals as well as birds and snks. Howevere, this zoo is very useful to know about animals, birds and other wild animals. This is well maintained place 👏 👌 🙌 👍 😀 must visit.

I was impressed by the variety of animals at this zoo. Some exhibits seemed a little less maintained than others, but generally it was consistent. The lions and tigers are definitely the star attractions. The only thing that was fairly appalling was just how much more expensive it is for foreigners. I understand that tourists can pay more, but it was about an 8x-10x difference in price. AND they also charge if you happen to have a good camera, which I did, so I had to go back to the car to leave it there. 😒

The oldest zoo in India. Spread over 200 acres. Tickets cost quite less. 20 for adult and 10 for kids up to 12. Has a lot of animals & birds. Their stars are the Lion, Lioness and Tiger. They also have bison, zebras, deer, hyenas, hippos. Birds range from small parrots and parakeets to eagles, owls, to flamingos, ostriches and emus. For another 100 you can take a golf cart, but it's better to walk and see the animals at your speed. Golf cart just zips thru and back in 25 min, not worth the money. They have a small safari inside the zoo. It costs 100 separately. Some Lions, Tigers (esp white tiger), bears are moved there and not available to view in the zoo. The landscaping is really good, need to appreciate the effort. Warning: DO NOT ENTER THE TOILET. It is so bad that it's like it had never been been cleaned since inauguration. I was almost fainting when I got out. So much for the oldest zoo. They can make it chargeable or increase ticket cost by 5rs and clean it.

Multiple varieties of Animal species are present. The numbers are huge and very satisfying. However, the cleanliness and maintenance of the Zoo is not up to the mark. Especially the living conditions of the animals, it's really painful to watch them stay in very dirty cages which are not maintained from the inside.

This place has potential to be developed as a major tourist attraction for it’s historical significance and Gujarat tourism must make efforts to publicize it on their web site and also transport arrangements from Rajkot airport. It is so great to see the history of old Tibetan / Jain monks from 4th century making this place for meditation.

too long journey, to see just ruins of ancient heritage site very pity for the archaeological dept, govt of India and local people.. who are happy by not conserving, this very much important part of our rich history.. still its aura is amazing, nearby river and jungle is serene to feel the aura roads are good to reach till the gate, ample parking space, not maintained toilets are rusted n not cleaned. tickets or entry pass not needed, it's free. 15 to 20 minutes enough to see the site no food or water available in and around some lovebirds wandering around, as it is a lonely place..

Archeologically important and very ancient Buddhist caves with a small river flowing in front of the caves and lots of green trees in surroundings. Surrounding environment is calm and cool. Enough parking space available outside. New Buddhist temple besides these caves is also being developed.

10minutes from Khambhalida Temple these Buddhist caves are a hidden gem. This is a very small part of what could have been a bigger residence or meditation cave for Buddhist Monks in the ancient era. The cave is not open for exploration but this is a must visit if you are a history buff. Also, the natural environment makes a perfect opt for a photoshooot. The place is secluded and in the middle of a jungle, many locals can be spotted however avoid wandering off the trek one can easily gets lost in the Jungle.

This institution constructed in the Indo Gothic style is spread around 25 acres and is difficult to miss if you are in Dr. Radhakrishnan road in Rajkot. It's is one of the best museum of Gujarat, to understand the global culture. However its in narrow area, parking is also little problem. Worth to visit. Spare 1-2 hours.

A unique museum!! It's a rare opportunity to see a Dolls museum, here in Rajkot. Good to visit with children. The museum is situated on 2&3 rd floors. The lift was not working when we reached there. We had to climb steps. It was built by an ex Rotary president of Rajkot for his daughter. He wrote mails to Rotary branches of the world and hence many international branches sent dolls representing their country and regions. It takes around 1 hour to see all the exhibits. The rooms are air conditioned. The tickets cost ₹30 per adult and ₹15 per child. It costs another ₹125 if you want to click photos. The dolls represent their country's costume and culture. Children can spend good time there. However make sure they have emptied their bladder before. Because the toilet here is a medieval era one, on the ground floor. I wish the Rotary club would pay attention and renovate the toilet as kids come to this place.

A total different experience. Must visit, just 30₹ pp entry fees. This museum is surely made due to low and attraction towards dolls by rotary club. Definitely not a commercial thought process. Much appreciate the concept. They have 2 floors of museum, soveniour shop inside and collection of 1800+ different dolls from approx. 108 countries. Totally different and unique experience. Worth visiting. Please note its closed on Monday.

It’s been great to see a father’s commitment to her daughter for building such a dolls museum because he wasn’t able to make her daughter saw museum in Delhi. Many activities are going on here with just deposit and if full attendance then they refund full amount. Really well preserved all dolls in museum and one Zebra ride kind of activity is great for kids.

Very nice amusement park with lots of rides for kids and adults. They start at 4pm and is open all days in the week. There are some 4d show and horror house which is generally operational on weekends or when there are many people to attend. The entry ticket is 17₹ for kids and 34₹ for adults, however there are combo package available at the ticket counter which includes 10-12 rides at apprx. 200₹. Or else u can chose and pay for each ride inside (they are reasonable between 17-30₹ per ride).

Perfect place for kids to enjoy. This place has many rides which kids like a lot and many of these are suitable for adults as well. There are rides packages available at entrance at nominal cost like Rs 200 or so for 10-12 rides else one can also pay for individual rides at multiple counters present inside the premises as well. The place is majorly clean and toilet and water facility are available. Some options for Snacks icecreams etc are also available. One can find free Parking on main road outside. During late evening times the crowd is too much so one has to wait in long queues for his/ her turn for each ride. Overall nice breakout place for couple of hours.

Racecourse is a great place to spend time. Sitting here and enjoying fast food has its own charm. There are rides and swings for children too. It’s the best place for morning and evening walks, and people of all ages come here. Games are also held here, and every few days fairs and exhibitions take place. Every festival is celebrated here by the people of the city. In a way, you can say that Racecourse is the heart of Rajkot.🫶❤️

This place was a true hidden gem once upon a time for Rajkot and all saurashtra people. The evening time was absolutely incredible, with each time fresh air and friends. The menu offers by street food vendors ...a great variety, and everything we ordered exceeded our expectations. Beyond the delicious food, the ambiance was just perfect—the lighting by corporation due to festival and decor created a cozy setting roadside . which made the entire evening a pleasure. We're already looking forward to our next visit during Diwali or navratri

The stadium looks great. But the traffic management is the worst I have seen. The seats are covered with bird poop. They don’t clean. The roads entering to the stadium and parking lots are unpaved. It creates breathing problems and congestion. Entering at the gate created a stampede. They have one of the worst management. After the game the worst traffic nightmare comes. A land of 30 acres was sanctioned in 2004 near the Jamnagar highway to build this state-of-the-art cricket stadium. The construction began in 2006 and almost 75 crores was spent. The media box at the venue resembles the one at Lord's and also for the spectators to move freely, there are several aisles between the seats. It also caters as a sporting complex to various other sports like badminton, volleyball and basketball.

This stadium is a must-visit for any cricket fan. The parking area is very poor. The best thing is free jio wifi available with high speed. Seat cleanliness is not good but comfortable for seating.

Amazing stadium to enjoy cricket games. It’s not too big or too small so you can blindly take any seat and will still be able to enjoy the game. Cleanliness was below par and has margin for improvement. Food and drinks are available along with vendors selling ice cream and chips inside stadium too. I would recommend this stadium and will definitely come back for future matches.
