The GIR LION safari Devariya was an unforgettable experience. The morning safari offered the best chance to spot the majestic Asiatic lions in their natural habitat. We were fortunate to see several prides lounging amidst the dry deciduous forests. Besides the lions, we also encountered other fascinating creatures like leopards, hyenas, deer, and even a playful fox. The dense vegetation and rugged terrain added to the thrill of the adventure. While the safari can be bumpy, the excitement of witnessing these magnificent animals in the wild makes it all worthwhile.

My experience at Git Safari was incredible! We enjoyed exciting bus rides and were fortunate enough to see lions and various other animals. It's truly one of the best places for a jungle safari!

Not very great experience. Firstly, website to book tickets is quite confusing. What appears to be a official government site turned out to be an agent. Full payment was made online, however at the check in counter they were insisting for a partial payment. Only when the so called agent turned up everything got sorted. Counter service wasn't friendly and the guide wasn't very polite. Devalia Safari Park is a large fenced area where animals are kept. If you are lucky you could see lions. We were in the last morning slot so we only managed to see lions at a distance resting under the tree. To the best of my understanding there are 3 different safari parks in the Gir region. 1) Devalia 2) Gir 3) Ambardi If I have to visit again, I would give Devalia a miss and try the others.

Have gone to Devaliya park. Gir is closed during monsoon season. We started our journey from Junagadh and our auto driver took us through a nice village side road . Weather was good and cloudy. Map showed 1.5 hrs but road conditions are not good . It took us almost 2.5hrs . We had a online ticket done so didnt have to wait much in counter line. Though my ticket was for 4 to 4.30 i didnt have to wait and got seat at 3.15 wala bus. It was suppose to be a 30 mins ride in bus for which we paid 150 rs per person. For jeep u need to pay around 4k. We saw 4 lioness, peacock, leopard in captivity, black buck deer. It felt The trip ended as soon as it started . If u r taking the bus may be buy 2 to 3 slots over the day. The park has food area , super expensive souvenirs shops.

Gir Safari has it's own name in wild life safari. We my family i visited there, it was awesome. First, you don't need to book online tickets as it was available offline without any waiting period. Mode:-( Bus/Jeep) With my opinion Bus is much better than Jeep safari as AC is available in bus and cost in Bus per person was 190/- where Jeep safari price was 3,000/- approx. We choosed Bus. Because they ensured for 100% lion sighting and we saw. Food:- Food options are available inside it. Staff behaviour:- The driver assigned to us was a local of Sasan village. His behaviour was really good. We cooperated him and in return he allow us to watch more than the time limit. Really salute for good staff of Gujarat Tourism. Conclusion. Hard recommend place.

Gir Safari is one of the most sought-after wildlife adventures in India. It is a thrilling experience that allows you to witness the majestic Asiatic lions in their natural habitat. Located in the state of Gujarat, Gir National Park is spread over an area of 1,412 square kilometers and is home to more than 600 species of plants and animals. The Gir Safari offers an opportunity to explore the beautiful and diverse terrain of Gir National Park on an open jeep, accompanied by a trained guide. The safari takes you through the dense forests, deciduous trees, open grasslands, and rocky hills, where you can spot a variety of wildlife including the Asiatic lion, Indian leopard, sloth bear, sambar deer, spotted deer, wild boar, and many more. The safari also provides a chance to witness the rare and endangered birds that inhabit the park, including the white-backed and long-billed vultures, Indian eagle-owl, and Indian pitta. You will get to experience the thrill of being in close proximity to these animals and birds, and observe their natural behavior in the wild. To make the most out of your Gir Safari experience, it is recommended to book your tickets in advance.

A sort of protected sanctuary where you will be guaranteed a lion or a leopard sighting along with other animals. Very well coordinated. Bus services are good. U will although miss the feeling of watching the big cat in proper Jungle. The facilities like souvenir shop and kids play area along with canteen are good.

Outdoor Activities
Nagao Beach, located in Diu, is a popular coastal destination known for its serene and tranquil atmosphere. It offers clean shores, clear waters, and a wide range of water sports facilities. The beach is well-equipped with amenities such as shaded seating areas and local food stalls. Nagao Beach attracts both locals and tourists looking for a peaceful retreat by the sea.
Nice one beach ⛱️ Cool atmosphere 😎 Nagoa Beach in Diu is widely considered its most famous and beautiful beach, offering a mix of natural beauty, water sports, and a relaxed atmosphere. Here is a comprehensive review of the beach based on traveler feedback: The Best of Nagoa Beach * Scenic Beauty and Ambiance: It's famous for its horseshoe or semi-circular shape, soft white sands, and the unique backdrop of Hoka palm trees (a species imported by the Portuguese). This setting creates a picturesque and exotic ambiance. * Water Sports Hub: It's the primary location in Diu for thrilling water activities. You can enjoy: * Jet Skiing * Parasailing * Banana Boat Rides * Bumper Rides * Speed Boat Rides * Calm and Safe Water: The semi-circular shape of the beach naturally results in calm, shallow water, making it an excellent and safe spot for swimming and bathing, particularly for families. * Relaxation and Activities: Beyond water sports, the beach is perfect for: * Sunbathing and relaxation. * Enjoying beautiful sunrises and sunsets. * Taking leisurely strolls along the 2 km stretch. * Activities like camel and pony rides are also available. * Convenience and Facilities: The beach is well-connected and has several resorts, restaurants, and beach shacks lining the shore, offering good food and easy accommodation access. It is also relatively close to Diu Airport. Points to Consider (Potential Improvements) * Crowds: Being the most famous beach, it can get crowded, especially during peak season, weekends, and holidays. * Water Quality: While generally regarded as having "crystal clear water," some older reviews occasionally mention the water being dirty or having a "muddy texture" due to black mud, though overall cleanliness is frequently praised by many visitors. * Overall: Nagoa Beach is an ideal destination for travelers looking for a blend of natural beauty, safe swimming, and exciting water activities, making it a must-visit in Diu.

**Review of Nagoa Beach, Diu** Nagoa Beach in Diu is a **beautiful and scenic spot**, perfect for hanging out with family and friends. The calm waves, black sand, and relaxed vibe make it a great place to unwind and enjoy the sea view. However, the **cleanliness of the beach could be improved**. While the natural beauty is captivating, the litter and lack of proper maintenance take away from the experience. If you're looking for a **pristine, clean beach**, this might not meet expectations. But if you simply want to **sit back, relax, and enjoy the sea**, then Nagoa Beach is still worth a visit. (3.5/5

🌴A Serene Paradise by the Arabian Sea🌴 Nagoa Beach in Diu is truly a hidden gem. The beach is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for both relaxation and adventure. If you’re visiting Diu, Nagoa Beach is a must-visit. Peaceful vibes, natural beauty.
Vivek K — Google review
My visit to Nagoa Beach in Diu was truly refreshing and memorable. The moment I reached the beach, I was greeted by clean golden sand, clear blue water, and rows of swaying palm trees that gave the place a peaceful and tropical feel. The atmosphere was calm, not too crowded, and perfect for simply relaxing and enjoying nature. I spent my morning walking barefoot along the shore, feeling the cool waves touch my feet. The water was surprisingly clean and safe, so I even enjoyed a light swim. Compared to many other beaches, Nagoa felt more peaceful and better maintained. There were a few water sports options like speed boating and jet skiing for those who love adventure, but I preferred just sitting quietly and watching the sea. By afternoon, I tried some local food from the nearby stalls — fresh seafood and coconut water, both amazing in taste and quality. The people around were friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. As the sun began to set, the sky turned into shades of orange and pink, creating a picture-perfect view that I’ll never forget. Overall, my time at Nagoa Beach was soothing and full of simple joys. It’s a great place to unwind, take beautiful photos, and enjoy peaceful moments by the sea. I’d love to visit again someday.

Nagoa Beach in Diu is a remarkable blend of natural serenity and thrilling adventure, making it one of the region’s premier coastal destinations. Its distinctive horseshoe—or semi-circular—shape spans nearly 2–2.5 km of pristine white sand that curves gracefully into the gentle Arabian Sea . The surrounding palm groves, including rare Portuguese-introduced Hoka trees, enhance the setting’s tropical allure . Ideal for both relaxation and activity, Nagoa caters to a diverse crowd. Families and solo visitors can unwind, sunbathe, swim, or picnic by the calm shoreline . Meanwhile, thrill-seekers will appreciate the beach’s wide array of water sports—including jet skiing, parasailing, banana boats, speed boats, and even hot air balloon rides—with transparent, affordable pricing available . Adventure lovers can also enjoy camel and pony rides or explore nearby attractions like Diu Fort, St. Paul’s Church, and Naida Caves . A standout feature is the breathtaking sunsets—the sky transforms into a canvas of vibrant oranges and pinks, creating unforgettable evening moments . Cleanliness is another highlight; visitors often note the beach’s well-maintained sands and soothing ambiance, surpassing some nearby options in upkeep . In terms of accessibility, Nagoa Beach is conveniently located just 7–8 km from Diu town and the airport, reachable via a short 20-minute drive or public transport . There are also plenty of nearby resorts, restaurants, and shacks offering refreshments and coastal dining . Verdict: Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or an action-packed day, Nagoa Beach delivers. It’s a scenic, well-equipped haven that strikes a rare balance between relaxation and recreation—making it a must-visit highlight of Diu.

INS Khukri Memorial

Memorial park
Sights & Landmarks
Nestled on a rocky cliff with breathtaking views of the sea, the INS Khukri Memorial stands as a poignant tribute to the valiant sailors who lost their lives during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. This memorial honors those aboard the frigate INS Khukri, which was tragically torpedoed by a Pakistani submarine in 1976.
Situated on the banks of the Arabian Sea, I.N.S. Fukri Memorial is a very beautiful and historical place, from where you can see the wonderful view of the spectacular sunset. The specialty here is that golf cart facility is available after the entry, which takes you directly to the top point, making the journey even more comfortable and memorable. The cool breeze of the sea, calm atmosphere and photogenic location make it a perfect destination for travelers. For both history and nature lovers, this place offers a unique experience, which remains in the heart for a long time.

First of all on the history part, Indian Naval Ship Khukri was a frigate of our Navy unit during the Indo Pak war in 1971, which sank 40 nautical miles away from Diu. The place is really worth visiting for our generation to know what happened and why. A well placed and maintained Memorial and model ship made is a mini ship same as Khukri. Recommended a visit at Evening after 6 pm if you are coming in Summer, as it's humid and sun is hard during morning slot. The Memorial is upgraded and made more tourist friendly every year, more scenic spots, more sitting places, open air auditorium like space is one more attraction. It's neat and upkeep. It's on elevated space which makes scenic views more beautiful. Electric cabs available on a chargeable basis which covers two ways costing. Suitable for all including family members it may be old or young. Food joints are there which can fulfill tourist requirements like ice cream, cold drinks, water, snacks etc.

The INS Khukhri Memorial in Diu is one of the most inspiring and serene places I’ve visited. It’s built in memory of the Indian Navy warship INS Khukhri, which sank during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, and stands as a symbol of courage and sacrifice. The memorial is well maintained, offering a breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea. The information boards tell the story of the brave naval officers who went down with their ship — it’s both emotional and patriotic. Evening time is the best to visit, as the sunset view from here is simply mesmerizing. The surrounding area is clean and peaceful, making it perfect for spending some quiet, reflective time. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Diu.

The location is peaceful with a stunning sea view, perfect for spending some quiet time and reflecting on history. Evening time is especially beautiful here.

Clean place with snack stalls available nearby. EV transportation available for elderlies (too expensive) else it has a short 2 km trek on brick made slope. Sea shore and waves worth enjoying from INS KHUKRI memorial. A small battleship prototype also available along with name of warriors ! Photo clicks allowed. Car park and 2 wheeler parking space available at nominal price at foot of the memorial. No entry fees. Best time to visit : Morning 7 to 8 and evening 5 to 6.

Gir National Park

Mentioned on

National park
Nature & Parks
Nature & Wildlife Areas
Nestled in the heart of Gujarat, Gir National Park is a breathtaking wildlife sanctuary that spans approximately 1,412 square kilometers. This park is famously known as the last bastion for the Asiatic lion, making it an essential destination for wildlife enthusiasts and conservationists alike. As you embark on a safari through this stunning landscape, you'll be greeted by early morning sunlight filtering through lush foliage while the sounds of nature surround you.
Visiting Gir National Park was an experience I’ll never forget. It’s the only place in the world where you can see Asiatic lions in the wild, and that in itself makes it incredibly special. The park is huge, with dry deciduous forests, grasslands, and water bodies that make it feel like a true wildlife kingdom. The safari is well organized. There are two main regions: the Devalia Safari Park (Interpretation Zone), which is the outer region, and the core/inner Gir forest area. Devalia is a shorter, budget-friendly option if you just want a quick chance to spot lions and other wildlife, while the core safari is longer and takes you deep inside the park for a real jungle experience. I’d suggest doing both if you have the time. The timings are usually early morning (around 6:00–9:00 am) and afternoon (around 3:00–6:00 pm), since that’s when animals are most active. Morning safaris are magical – the jungle looks fresh, the light is perfect, and chances of spotting lions are higher. Prices depend on the zone and vehicle type, but roughly expect ₹800–₹1000 for Devalia per person and ₹4500–₹6000 per jeep for the core area, excluding camera charges. It’s best to book online in advance as permits sell out quickly. During my visit, we were lucky to spot a lioness with her cubs, along with spotted deer, blue bulls, jackals, and lots of birds. The thrill of seeing a lion walking in its natural home is unmatched. Overall, Gir is a must-visit for any wildlife lover. It’s not just a safari, it’s witnessing nature in its raw, powerful form.

Our jungle safari was truly one of the best experiences of a lifetime! Nature was at its absolute best — lush greenery, fresh air, and the thrilling sounds of the wild made the whole journey magical. The guide and driver provided were extremely knowledgeable and experienced; they shared fascinating insights about the wildlife and made sure we didn’t miss any moment of excitement. The highlight of our trip was the lion spotting — it was breathtaking and left us completely amazed! Watching the king of the jungle in its natural habitat was an unforgettable sight. Overall, everything was perfectly organized, safe, and filled with adventure. Highly recommend this safari to anyone who loves nature and wildlife. 🌳🦁✨

🌅 1. Wonderful Wildlife Experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Gir Safari was an unforgettable experience! We were lucky enough to spot three Asiatic lions early in the morning along with deer, peacocks, and many birds. The forest has a raw beauty that makes you feel close to nature. The guide was well-informed and ensured we followed all safety and conservation rules. Definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves wildlife and peaceful natural surroundings. 🌿🦁 --- 🚙 2. Very Well-Managed Safari ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The safari at Gir National Park is extremely well-organized — from ticket booking to the actual forest ride. The entry gate and vehicle arrangements were smooth, and our driver made the experience comfortable. Morning safaris are highly recommended for better lion sightings and cooler weather. It’s an amazing way to experience India’s only home of the Asiatic Lion! 🌞🦁 --- 🌳 3. Peaceful Morning Amidst Nature ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Loved the early morning safari — the jungle atmosphere was calm, filled with the sound of birds and the rising sun over the forest. Even if you don’t spot a lion, the natural beauty and serenity make the visit worth it. Kudos to the forest department for maintaining the area so beautifully and ensuring eco-friendly practices. 🌿✨ --- 📸 4. Photographer’s Delight! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you love photography, Gir Safari is a paradise! The early light, dense forest, and animal activity make every moment picture-perfect. Spotted lions, sambar deer, blue bulls, and some rare birds — a perfect mix of thrill and tranquility. The staff was courteous and patient, allowing us enough time to capture some great shots! 📷🦁 --- 🦁 5. A Must-Do Experience in Gujarat ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Gir Safari is one of the best-managed wildlife experiences in India. The entire process — from online booking, entry formalities, to the safari ride — was seamless. Our guide shared great insights about the wildlife and Gir’s conservation efforts. Seeing the Majestic Asiatic Lion in its natural habitat was truly a goosebump moment! 💛🌳

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gir National Park is a truly majestic place and a must-visit for anyone who loves nature and wildlife. The moment you enter the forest, you feel the fresh air, the peace, and the thrill of knowing this is the only natural home of the Asiatic lion in the world. The landscape is stunning with thick forests, rivers, and open grasslands that make the safari feel like a real adventure. Even though we did not get to see the lion during our visit, the entire experience was still amazing. We saw plenty of deer, peacocks, monkeys, wild boars, and many beautiful birds. Watching these animals in their natural habitat makes you appreciate how well the forest is protected. The guides and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, always explaining interesting facts about the wildlife and the history of Gir. I would strongly recommend taking the early morning safari. The forest looks magical during sunrise and the chances of spotting a lion are much higher. It is also less hot, so the animals move around more freely. We left with great memories and a strong desire to come back again, because seeing the King of the Jungle is still on our list! Gir National Park is a place that reminds you how important wildlife conservation is. Even if you are unlucky with sightings, the beauty of the nature itself makes the trip totally worth it. A solid 5 stars and definitely a destination everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

Park has online and offline bookings for two types of gypsy safaris (max. 6-8 people) - a 3hr safari in Gir Sasan and 1 hr in Gir interpretation (Devaliya). There is also a safari in bus booking for 190 per person where lots of people travel together. This bus booking tour is of half n hour. The park doesn't operate full day. Mainly the timings are 6 am -11 am and then 3 pm - 6 pm. Thus there are 3 3hr safaris daily and close to 7-8 1hr safaris. We chose the 1 hr safari in Gir interpretation and shared our ride with 3 others. We saw lions, cheetah, peacock, black buck, Nil gaay, eagle, random birds, mongoose, deers. The staff says the best time to visit is early morning or late evening and there are close to 820 lions and 1200 cheetahs in the whole forest! Overall it was a good trip. Hoping to someday do the 3hr safari :)

It has online and offline bookings for two types of gypsy safaris (max. 6-8 people) - a 3hr safari in Gir Sasan. The park timings are 6 am -11 am and 3 pm - 6 pm. So total 3 slot per day and each safari of 3hr daily. No plastic is allowed. No water bottles allowed. There is a place where ur guide can buy water bottles which need to be returned back. Once a lifetime opportunity.. Go in morning 6-9 and evening 3-6 which is best possible time to see lion.

The Great preserved national park of asiatic lion.lions found only in India and Africa. The forest is about 1000 square km It is spread in four district of Gujarat . There is no tiger there the guide told us that the territory of lion tiger never exist because both are king of the forest .There are so many leopards. the territory of one line is about 40 square kilometres. Last 20 years number of lions increase from 600 to about 1000. In one territory two liones never leave together. When we saw two lions together the guide told us that their brothers and their age was about 10 to 12 years. After hunting deer or nilgai (blue colour cow) and eating about 25 kg of meat lion never eat for one weak. Dera robot 1000 lion 92000 deer and about70,000 nilgai. The forest is Savannah type forest having very tall grasses which we saw first time. For jungle safari always book your slot online. The total charges for 6 person of one Gypsy was about 4700Rs. The Safari starts from devaliya Park. But for Gypsy you have to go to Sasan head office of forest Department which is about 11 km from devaliya Park. Very thrilling experience. Booking of buses is available available in Devaliya park. There are two Safari one is about 1 hour anadar is about 3 hours in open jeep. We found leopards ,lions, dear nilgai in 1 hour Safari. Many people we meet not found lion, leopards in three hr Safari also bad luck. .

Saint Paul's Church, built in 1610 by Portuguese colonists, is a stunning example of Italian baroque architecture and the largest church in Diu. The church features intricate woodwork, a magnificent facade, beautiful altars, and shell-like carvings crafted by Indian artisans. Dedicated to St. Paul and the Lady of Immaculate Conception, it took nine years to complete and stands as a relic of Portuguese colonial influence in Diu.
Saint Paul’s Church in Diu is a stunning example of Baroque architecture and one of the most beautiful churches in India. Built in the 17th century by the Portuguese, it reflects rich history and cultural heritage. The wooden carvings on the altar and the detailed design inside are truly impressive. Surrounded by a peaceful environment, it is a great place for prayer and quiet reflection. A must-visit attraction in Diu for history lovers, tourists, and anyone seeking calmness. Take care of timing it close early around 5:30 pm everyday.

A very beautiful church. It amazes you with its beauty, even when you’re on the other side of the road. Walk in to see beautifully carved pulpit….. and grand white structure. Sit on the stairs for some peaceful time, there are sitting benches on the other side of the road where there are lots of greenery overlooking the church. Must visit if you’re in Diu.

St. Paul's Church in Diu is a 400-year-old, Gothic-style Portuguese church dedicated to Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, known for its lavish wood carvings, rich paneling, and ornate facade featuring volutes and shell motifs. Completed in 1610 and originally a Jesuit seminary, it is the largest and only functioning church on Diu and resembles the Bom Jesus Basilica in Goa. The church is considered one of the most elaborate Portuguese churches in India.

Sure — here’s a version that sounds completely natural and written by a real visitor, not AI: ⸻ I went to St. Paul’s Church around 8 in the morning and joined the prayer. Honestly, it was such a peaceful moment the whole place feels calm and pure. The church is very clean and beautifully built. I’m a Hindu, but I really liked their tradition and the spiritual vibe inside. They welcome everyone here, no matter the religion. Truly a beautiful and peaceful spot in Diu⛪️

Saint Paul’s Church is a stunning example of Baroque architecture. Built in the 17th century by the Portuguese, the wooden carvings on the altar and the detailed design inside are truly impressive. Surrounded by a peaceful environment, it is a great place for prayer and quiet reflection. A must-visit attraction in Diu for history lovers, tourists, and anyone seeking calmness. Diu Fort, constructed by the Portuguese in the 16th century, is a sprawling sandstone complex that includes a lighthouse and three churches. The fort offers sweeping views of the sea from various vantage points and features steep walkways, cannons, and fragments of tombstones. Visitors can also explore a causeway into the sea where they may observe beautiful seabirds up close.
Diu Fort is a historical heritage situated on the seashore, which is famous for its grandeur and beauty. While roaming in this fort, you get to see the wonderful view of old walls, huge cannons and the waves of the sea meeting the blue sky. The most special thing here is that golf cart facility is also available inside the fort, which takes you directly to the lighthouse, from where you can see the panoramic view of the entire sea and the city of Diu. A separate charge has to be paid for this golf cart, but this experience is so wonderful that its memories remain in the heart forever. If you go to Diu, then do not forget to visit this ancient fort and see the view of the lighthouse.

Diu Fort is a remarkable blend of history and scenic beauty. The Portuguese architecture, vast stone walls, and panoramic sea views create a truly captivating experience. The fort is well-preserved, offering stunning photography spots, especially during sunrise and sunset. It’s a peaceful place to explore and learn about Diu’s colonial past. Although some areas could use better maintenance, the overall atmosphere and charm make it a must-visit heritage site. Highly recommended for history lovers and travelers seeking serenity by the sea.

Diu Fort is a historic Portuguese fortress on Diu Island, built in the 16th century after a defense alliance between the Sultan of Gujarat and the Portuguese to protect against Mughals. Surrounded by the sea on three sides, this imposing structure offers panoramic sea views and houses a lighthouse, along with churches and a former prison. It stands as a significant example of Portuguese architecture in India and remains a popular tourist attraction known for its impressive stonework and historical importance.

Must visit for - this fort offers stunning sea views, a lighthouse, and historical ruins, and is a great place for photography. Do try and find the Hoak tree. They also charge 100pp for Indians but very well-maintained condition, and the peaceful atmosphere. Take a guide to help explain the place better. The walk can be long and steep but there are buggys to take us to most places. We also went through a secret passageway and was quite fun. Try to go early in the day or latest by 4pm- closes at 6

Diu Fort is a beautiful Portuguese Fort, which is being renovated to protect the beautiful structure from falling apart. It is still beautiful, although the weather is warm, even in October end, there are golf carts that you can hire to avoid walking all the way up to the foot and its various nooks and crannies. I strongly recommend hiring a guide so that you do not miss out on the beautiful parts of history, which may be difficult figure to just by googling out. The sea looks amazing from the Fort, so do not miss this view.

The fort has a magnificent view of the arabian sea. It was constructed between 1535 and 1541 AD after a defence alliance, concluded by the Bahadurshah, Sultan of Gujarat, and the Portuguese when the former was attacked by Humayun, the Mughal Emperor. The fort is skirted by the sea on the three sides

Nature & Parks
Tulsishyam Mandir is a revered Hindu temple nestled in the picturesque Gir Forest of Gujarat, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This spiritual haven boasts three rejuvenating hot mineral water pools known as Taptodak, which are steeped in ancient lore. According to legend, it was here that Lord Krishna vanquished the demon Tul, intertwining the site’s name with his own—hence Tulsishyam.
It's a ancient template and place of loard kriushna with lakes deep down also there is a mountain beside it to climb but one can not climb it over the evening due to fear of wild animals there is a temple of mataji over the mountain the place is good vibes and also good stating and food is been also good.

Good Hindu Ancient Temple. Religious valuable place. We have visited Tulsishyam Springs many times but last we visited this when we had gone to Junagadh Gir Forest and on our way back we went to Tulsishyam springs again. This place is very famous for the hot springs in the state.Tulshi Shyaam is located on the Dhari-Una roadside in the Gir forest surroundings. This is a historical and also a peaceful place located amongst natural environment and in a small but dense forest. There are 3 hot water springs at the location with the 1st one filled with hot water, the second one filled with more hot water and the third water spring was having hot boiling water. The water is full of natural sulphur and saying goes if you take a deep full body in the water In the Indian Puranas these are refened to as 'Taptodak' .Legend says that Lord Krishna eliminated the demon called Tul and so the place is associated with his name along with that of Krishna as Shyam and is thus called Tulsishyam. You can also visit a 700 years old The Rukmani Devi Temple nearby Tulsi Shyaam. it has over 452 steps to temple so its difficult for elders.Private and state transport buses are available to reach here. If you want to stay overnight, you can stay in government guest house. Food is also available there. You should be in your room before 9 am and after 6 pm as its a forest and wild animals like lions etc roaming around. Tulsishyam Temple History The Tulsishyam Temple is located in the centre of Gir, 30 km from Una District. The Tulsishyam temple in the village of the same name is dedicated to Lord Vishnu or Lord Krishna. Located in the idyllic surroundings of the Sasan Gir reserve forest, Tulsishyam is about 30 km from Una. It is believed Lord Krishna killed a demon called Tul at this place. The temple is about seven hundred years old, but the enshrined Murti is said to be nearly 3,000 years old. The temple is on the top of a small hill, with 100 steps leading up to it. Tulsishyam Temple Hot Water Springs One interesting feature here is the hot springs. These are in three sections, with hot water at increasing temperatures. The third kund is at its boiling point. The Kunds are known as ‘Taptodak’. The waters are said to have curative properties. Adjacent to this hot water spring is the ancient Tulsi-Rukmini Temple. Devotees can visit Rukmani Devi Temple, located on a small hill with around 100 steps to climb opposite Tulsi Shyam Temple and Mahaprabhuji Bethak near the temple. Dharmashala and Bhojanalaya are available at Tulsi Shyam to facilitate devotees. Many times, lions and other wild animals are moving around this temple and on the road, so it is not advisable to drive during the night.

What & Why It’s Special Tulsishyam (also “Tulsi Shyam”) is a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu / Lord Krishna, located in the Gir forest region, on the border of Amreli / Gir Somnath districts. The idol inside is said to be ~3,000 years old, though the temple structure is younger (about 700 years old). One of the big attractions: there are hot sulphur springs (“Taptodak”) nearby, believed to have healing properties. It’s set in a scenic but forested area, so you get nature, wildlife ambience, and spiritual atmosphere all together. --- Best Time to Visit October to March is the most comfortable period — cooler weather, less rain, more pleasant for travel. Monsoon (June to September) gives nice greenery, but roads might be tougher and forest roads/visibility could be challenging. If you want lush surroundings, monsoon has its beauty. --- How to Reach Mode Details By road Tulsishyam is well connected by road. It is about 30-35 km from Una (Gir Somnath district) and about 45 km from Dhari in Amreli. By train Nearest railway station is Una. From there you’ll need road transport. By air Closest airports are Diu and Rajkot. From there, taxis or hired vehicles. --- Timings & Stay Temple is open roughly 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. There are dharmashalas / guesthouses available near the temple. Food / bhojanalaya + basic facilities are available.

Whether you seek spiritual solace, natural beauty, or simply a peaceful escape, Tulsi Shyam is an experience that stays with you forever

Shatrunjay Adinath Tirth refers to the Shatrunjaya hills in Palitana, Gujarat, India, which are renowned for their numerous Jain temples, particularly the one dedicated to Lord Adinath (also known as Rishabhanatha), the first Tirthankara. It is a highly revered pilgrimage site for the Shwetambar Jain community. Here's a more detailed explanation: Location: Shatrunjaya hills are located near the city of Palitana in Gujarat, India. Significance: The hills are considered one of the most sacred pilgrimage places in Jainism, with over 865 temples on the summit. Lord Adinath: The main temple on the Shatrunjaya hills is dedicated to Lord Adinath, the first Tirthankara. Temple Complex: The temples on Shatrunjaya hills are known for their exquisite marble carvings and are considered one of the largest temple complexes in the world. Historical Importance: The temples and shrines on Shatrunjaya have been managed by a committee of Sheths of the Patan Jain Sangh since the 11th-12th century AD. Pilgrimage: The pilgrimage to Shatrunjaya is called "Shri Shatrunjay Teerth Yatra" and is traditionally undertaken on the Poornima (full moon day) of the Kartik month (October-November). According to Jain belief each and every minute particles on this mountain are very very important, so my humble request for Jain and non jain peoples please respect our belief by not making any nuisance, throwing garbage or unnecessary activities.
Shreyansh B — Google review
Situated in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Lord Adinatha, the first of Jain Tirthankaras, is said to have meditated on the shatrunjaya hills, where the palitana temples were later constructed. Palitana is the world's only mountain that has more than 900 temples. Temples as well as whole mountain is considered the most sacred pilgrimage place by the jain community, being world's largest temple complex. From the foot of the hill to the top there are about 3,800 stone steps to facilitate climbing. Not just the temples on the hill are sacred, but as per Jain scriptures entire hill is sacred right from top to bottom. The journey is arduous. For those unable or unaccustomed to the strain, sling chairs are available for bargain. Food mist neither be eaten nor carried on the way. The descent must begin before it is evening, for no soul can remain atop the sacred Mountain during the night. Palitana is the first city in the world to be legally vegetarian. It has outlawed, or made illegal, the buying and selling of meat, fish and eggs and also related jobs or work, such as fishing and penning 'food animals'. Must visit.

Visited March 2019. I just had to see this place. I'm not a Jain, btw. The thought of climbing 3346 steps was a challenge of sorts. And something to brag about later ;-) . Managed to do it in about two and half hours. The climb up is really something. The temples on top are really beautiful - worth the effort. And the atmosphere ... you just have to experience it. No photography allowed on top. This is something worth doing. See attached pics of the climb up.

Cannot share the experience on a review however you need to visit here to experience it. It a very Holy and divine place it a must visit for any Jain people in the world. Just for those who are not Jain this Derasar is open for everyone but you need to maintain a decent attire and eating or drinking any thing apart from water is strictly not allowed during you climb or once you reach up.Just approximately 3600 steps to climb depends on your speed but takes around 2hr one way to reach up. You can start as early as 4am in morning as Derasar opens by 6 am in summer. Beaware about those doliwalas and other helpers would not recommend you to hire any of those. Please not Photography inside or near Derasar premises is strictly prohibited.

Jain temples are old. Palitana mountain also called Shatrunjaya mountain.Mountain surrounding Is Good and Fresh🍃💦. There are many trees🌳.

I am no one to describe or rate this place. Google has less stars to rate this place. Just sharing my experience and little insights: Most recognised Teerth among all the Jains in the world. It is first of the only two vegetarians city in the world. The temple hill has around 3500+ stairs to reach to the peak where Idol of First Jain Teerthankar Bhagwan Shri Aadinath is present in the main Temple along with so many Temples and idols. You cannot remove your attention from the Aadinath dada Idol once you are there, you feel so light and might get so many goose bumps until you are in the vicinity of the main temple. The place is very peaceful, millions of devotees visits every year, On the occasion of Akshay tritiya so many devotees come to break their year long fast (Varshi tapka parna) from all over the country.

Shri Vishal Jain Museum

Museum
Specialty Museums
Museum, institution dedicated to preserving and interpreting the primary tangible evidence of humankind and the environment. In its preserving of this primary evidence, the museum differs markedly from the library, with which it has often been compared, for the items housed in a museum are mainly unique and constitute the raw material of study and research. In many cases they are removed in time, place, and circumstance from their original context, and they communicate directly to the viewer in a way not possible through other media. Museums have been founded for a variety of purposes: to serve as recreational facilities, scholarly venues, or educational resources; to contribute to the quality of life of the areas where they are situated; to attract tourism to a region; to promote civic pride or nationalistic endeavour; or even to transmit overtly ideological concepts. Given such a variety of purposes, museums reveal remarkable diversity in form, content, and even function. Yet, despite such diversity, they are bound by a common goal: the preservation and interpretation of some material aspect of society’s cultural consciousness.

Worth visiting once. One can have a glimpse of history of Jainism. Few antiques and artifacts are preserved. It has a nice temple in the basement. Maintenance is required. It would be nice if they can organise a Guide as it will be of great help to the tourist who visit. This will also prevent the caretaker, security and other people at the museum who annoy you by asking for money on pretext of showing you the museum around.
Bhavesh C — Google review
What a shame the whole place has fallen into complete disrepair. Rats going around the diorama of the jain gods and all the staff begging for money. I also felt the way the museum was set up didnt really follow a pattern or story which explained jainism in details and alot of the artifacts may have just been random things. Hard to tell. The positive is that the glass derasar in the basement was pretty cool. What a shame. I wish I had the power and money to turn things around and make it a proper museum. It could be such a good one

I have been visiting Salangpur Hanumanji Mandir for almost 25 years now and have witnessed its amazing transformation — from a small temple to a grand tirtha sthaan. The growth in the last 5–7 years is truly remarkable. The new dharamshala, with 952 rooms, is incredible — it feels like a 5-star hotel with all modern amenities. The new bhojanshala is outstanding too, with an impressive capacity and excellent management. As for the temple, there are no words — simply divine. Every visit feels special, and the murti of Hanumanji astonishes me every single time. All this is possible only because of Hanumanji’s grace and blessings on everyone who visits. Jai Shree Ram! 🙏

A Truly Divine and Transformative Experience at Sarangpur Hanuman Temple ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars: A Must-Visit Pilgrimage Site in Gujarat The Kashtbhanjan Hanuman Temple in Sarangpur is not just a place of worship; it is an experience that touches the soul. My visit here was profoundly peaceful and spiritually uplifting. Atmosphere and Environment: The moment you step into the sprawling temple complex, you are struck by a sense of calm and divinity. The air resonates with chants and devotion. Despite the crowds (especially on Saturdays and Tuesdays), the management is incredibly efficient, ensuring a smooth darshan (viewing) process. The temple itself is stunning, showcasing the signature, intricate architecture associated with the Swaminarayan tradition. The cleanliness of the entire premises is commendable. Spiritual Significance & the Deity: The central belief that Lord Hanuman here alleviates all sufferings (kasht) and evil influences is powerful, and the atmosphere reinforces this faith. The murti (idol) of Hanuman Ji is majestic and vibrant, inspiring instant reverence. Facilities and Hospitality: The temple trust does a fantastic job of managing facilities. Clean and affordable accommodation options are available, making it feasible for multi-day visits. The food at the canteen/dining hall is simple, hygienic, and satisfying. Overall Impression: My time at Sarangpur provided immense mental peace and a powerful spiritual recharge. It's a place where faith is visibly tangible. If you are seeking solace, a highly organized pilgrimage experience, or simply a magnificent architectural marvel, make sure to visit this divine abode. It is truly one of the most powerful and well-managed temples I have ever visited in India

The architecture is beautifully designed, and the temple premises are well-maintained, ensuring a clean and comfortable experience for visitors. The positive vibes here are unmatched, especially during aarti and festive celebrations. Surrounded by natural beauty, it’s a perfect spot to connect with spirituality and find inner peace. A highly recommended pilgrimage site for all devotees! 🙏✨

The temple is dedicated to Maa Khodiyar, a revered goddess in Gujarat, believed to be born in the 8th century in the Roishala area. Khodiyar Mandir at Rajpara was built in 1911. It was initially a modest shrine, but over time improvements were made (roads, facilities) and it now attracts large numbers of devotees. Spiritual ambience: Many visitors comment on a peaceful, devotional vibe. The calm surroundings, natural beauty around, and the energy during prayers (aarti) are frequently appreciated. Devotee-friendly: Cleanliness, well-maintained premises, ease of darshan (seeing the deity) even during busy times are praised. Community services & offerings: The temple trust runs many services — free meals (annadan), rest houses (vishram gruh), medical aid etc. Prasad & culture: “Lapsi” (a sweet made of broken wheat) is a chief prasad. The temple celebrates major festivals with zeal, which adds to the experience.

We recently visited Ambaji Mata Temple, and it was a wonderful experience. The arrangements and management by the temple trust are excellent, allowing all devotees to have peaceful darshan. There is also a free parking facility near the temple, which is very convenient. However, some local people outside the temple stop visitors before entering the official parking area, saying “free parking here,” and later insist on buying prasad from them. I feel the temple trust should look into this issue. Apart from that, everything inside the temple is beautifully organized, and the overall experience was truly divine.

I visited my kuldevi mandir in Khodiyaar after many years and I was pleasantly surprised. They have made it a more better place n well organised.tjere is ample parking. There are shops selling pooja items on both the sides of the pathway leaving ample space for disciples to walk. It was quiet n peaceful. The Darshan was easy and no one was rushing us. We could spend some quiet time in the temple. I was happy to visit the Khodiyar ma mandir.

Nishkalank Mahadev Temple

Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Nestled in the serene waters off the coast of Koliyak near Bhavnagar, Gujarat, the Nishkalank Mahadev Temple is a captivating shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. This unique temple is partially submerged during high tide and becomes accessible on foot when the tide recedes. The experience of witnessing the sea gradually enveloping this sacred site is truly mesmerizing; it’s essential to time your visit right—ideally around four hours after high tide—to fully appreciate its charm.
What an experience. Not much crowd. A walk in sand slurry from the beach to the waters. The view, the feeling the serenity, everything spiritual about it. The added advantage of the time of visit - evening - 30 min before sunset and on a beach - a perfect time (gaudhuli) for doing Pooja - was the bonus. Must Must visit. Again & again.
Gopal A — Google review
You’ll need to walk about 500 meters from the mainland to reach this temple, but it’s totally worth it. The temple has five Shivlings where abhishek is performed, and there’s usually a pandit sitting there for guidance and blessings. The scenery around is really nice — we even caught a few tiny fish nearby! Tips: Be careful while walking, as there can be bits of glass on the path. Try to walk on dry sand if possible for an easier and safer walk. A calm, spiritual spot with a lovely natural vibe — definitely worth visiting.

Nishkalank Mahadev Temple in the Sea: This small temple, with a Shivling, submerges under sea water during high tide and reappears during low tide. It was our first time witnessing sea water slowly rising, gradually covering the Shivling and eventually reaching the shore—about 750 meters to 1 km away. Visiting this place at the right time is a must to truly experience its uniqueness. We reached at the perfect time—2:45 PM. By 3:00 PM, we noticed the water level beginning to rise, slowly filling the area. Around 3:20 PM, people started warning everyone to return to the shore. While walking back, we saw that nearly a quarter of the path was already submerged—the dry path we had used just minutes ago was now under water. Words can’t do full justice—this is something that must be experienced in person.

🙏 om nama shivaya 🙏 Nishkalank Mahadev Manidir visible only during low tide and submerged during high tide of sea. Midst of sea about 0.75 km from sea shore. During low tide we can offer pooja by walking there.

Very long back in time, pandavas killed their brothers in a battle and due to that got brahmahathi dosha, to nullify the dosha, they implanted 5 lingas and worshipped. Here sea water recede at a particular time and reveal the lingas. We have to dredge some time to reach the lingas. In the evening water closes the view of lingas. This natural process, happening in the kuch area is utilised by the ethereals. Nice place for a spiritual experience.

Lothal, Archaeological Remains Of A Harappa Port-Town

Mentioned on
1 list
Sights & Landmarks
Archaeological museum
Lothal, located in Gujarat, India, is an ancient city dating back to 2400 BCE and was a significant center of the Indus Valley Civilization. The name 'Lothal' means 'Mound of the Dead' in Gujarati. It was known for its advanced urban planning, dockyards, and drainage system. Situated along trade routes connecting Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley, it played a crucial role in trade and commerce.
For history enthusiasts, Lothal offers a unique chance to walk through a city that was once a thriving port and trade center. It's a must-visit for history buffs, offering a rare glimpse into the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. While the site itself is impressive, visitor facilities and information are limited, so manage your expectations and prepare for a largely self-guided tour.

A must-visit place for history lovers! Lothal is one of the most fascinating sites of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. It’s amazing to see how advanced people were thousands of years ago — with a proper dockyard, drainage system, and town planning. The museum nearby showcases pottery, seals, and artifacts that give you a real sense of life during that time. The place is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for a day trip from Ahmedabad. If you love history, archaeology, or just want to explore India’s ancient roots, Lothal is definitely worth visiting.
Darshan K — Google review
Not much in terms of excavation, but a lovely place teeming with birds! Though a huge museum is coming up nearby. Worth a visit only if passing through nearby.
Mehul J — Google review
The Harappa civilization site at Lothal is a very beautiful place. It exudes a sense of peace, and the cool breeze makes you wonder why the people of Lothal chose to live here—perhaps it was because of this serene environment and pleasant climate. Although the structures are very old, their condition is gradually deteriorating because visitors enter the ruins, causing damage. In its current open state, it seems like the Archaeological Survey of India is not actively preserving it. The cemetery appears almost lost, with no accessible path to reach it. Overall, the site is very enriching for history enthusiasts, while others may see it as just a casual visit. However, you can truly appreciate that the people of that era had knowledge of science and mathematics. The government should take action to protect and preserve this heritage site.
Rajveer P — Google review
Visiting lothal on weekends specially on early morning drives is recommended. I have visited yhe site at post monsoon so the dockyard is full of water giving real vibe. The location shows there is a museum is permenent closed. If you have prior knowledge of this site then this visit could be the most interesting. Otherwise you real roam around and exit.
Devashree P — Google review
Best time to visit this place is during winters. You will be able to sit and experience the thousands of years of history here. A must visit for history enthusiast. Currently the archeological musuem is under construction. There is no information when it will open again, therefore you won't be able see the artifacts that have been found here. But the site is open and you can definitely visit it.
Srijeeta S — Google review
Visited Lothal with family and really enjoyed the experience. The place gives a simple but amazing glimpse into one of the world’s oldest civilizations. Seeing the ancient dockyard and town layout felt like stepping back in time. Display photos of interesting artifacts explains things nicely. The area is peaceful, clean, and easy to explore. Carry water and a cap because the sun likes to attend the tour too. Great spot for a short, educational family trip. Perfect for anyone curious about old Indian history in a calm setting.

Sarkhej Roza is a captivating mosque and tomb complex that beautifully showcases the Indo-Saracenic architectural style, completed in 1451. Nestled amidst a serene landscape featuring a tranquil lake, this historical site reflects the rich Islamic culture intertwined with Persian influences and elements from Hindu and Jain traditions. Often hailed as the Acropolis of Ahmedabad, Sarkhej Roza stands as a testament to the city's heritage during Sultan Mahmud Begada's reign.
Sarkhej Roza is truly a must-visit place, especially for Sunni Muslims. The complex carries a rich heritage and deep history that makes it stand out among the iconic sites of Ahmedabad. The mosque here is very beautiful with intricate architecture, and the Roza itself is peaceful and inspiring. The entire place reflects Islamic art, culture, and spirituality. It’s not just a religious site but also a heritage landmark that gives you a glimpse into history. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore heritage, architecture, and spirituality together.

★★★★☆ - A Magnificent Historical Complex with Some Practical Considerations Sarkhej Roza is truly a hidden gem of Ahmedabad with its breathtaking architecture. The complex houses beautiful tombs of kings and queens, showcasing amazing historical significance. I was particularly impressed by the grand and picturesque lake that enhances the serene atmosphere of this ancient site. The architecture is fascinating with its unique stylistic elements. The open courtyard provides a wonderful space to appreciate the intricate details of the structure and offers great photo opportunities. The exquisite lattice work and carved pillars throughout the complex are truly mesmerizing, especially when sunlight filters through. Important note: You must remove your footwear before entering the complex, which can be uncomfortable as the ground gets very hot and dirty. I strongly recommend wearing socks as mentioned in the guidelines. Also, avoid visiting during rainy days as the experience will be compromised, and extremely hot days can make the visit unbearable since you'll be walking barefoot on hot surfaces. Despite these minor inconveniences, Sarkhej Roza is definitely worth visiting for its historical significance and architectural beauty if you plan your visit during comfortable weather conditions.

Sarkhej Roza is a historically significant tomb complex with stunning Indo-Islamic architecture, but it’s sadly not well maintained. The entrance lacks the presence of a protected heritage site, and the overall upkeep doesn’t do justice to its legacy. It deserves better maintenance and stronger promotion to attract the attention it truly merits.

It as a peaceful and serene place, appreciating the intricate details, exquisite craftsmanship, and tranquil surroundings. The site is also noted for its historical significance and the artistry displayed in the latticework and calligraphy.

Sarkhej Roza, located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is a stunning architectural complex that beautifully blends Islamic and Indian styles. Built in the 15th century, it serves as a mausoleum for the revered Sufi saint, Sheikh Ahmed Khattu Ganj Baksh. The site is a serene retreat, characterized by its elegant domes, intricately carved pillars, and expansive courtyards. Visiting Sarkhej Roza feels like stepping into a tranquil oasis, away from the city's hustle and bustle. The intricate latticework and exquisite calligraphy reflect the artistry of the period, making it a photographer's delight. The peaceful atmosphere is perfect for contemplation and reflection. One of the highlights is the large water tank, which enhances the beauty of the surroundings and offers a serene spot for visitors to relax. The combination of historical significance and architectural splendor makes it an important cultural landmark. While it can be less crowded than other tourist spots, this adds to its charm. Sarkhej Roza is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, architecture, or spirituality. It’s a place that invites you to connect with the past and appreciate the rich heritage of Gujarat.
Pathan N — Google review
Located just 8 km from Ahmedabad, Sarkhej Roza is a majestic 15th-century architectural complex nestled in the quiet village of Sarkhej. Revered as the "Acropolis of Ahmedabad", this site draws parallels to the Parthenon in Athens, not just in scale but in spiritual and architectural grandeur. Commissioned by Sultan Ahmed Shah for the esteemed Sufi saint Sheikh Ahmed Khattu Ganj Baksh, the complex houses his serene tomb along with royal mausoleums of Sultan Mahmud Begada, his queen Rani Rajabai, their sons, an open Jama Masjid, a historic water tank, and a library-museum preserving ancient coins and manuscripts. The experience begins with a short walk from the parking area through arched stone gateways marked with history. Inside, one is greeted by massive sandstone pillars, cool marble flooring, and open courtyards. Despite the festive buzz of Eid, the complex retained a sense of calm and reverence. What stands out are the stone-carved walls, intricately decorated with Arabic-Indo geometric patterns—symmetrical, artistic, and beautifully weathered. Each section holds its charm: The royal tombs of Begada and his sons lie under richly carved domes, though sadly, some areas show signs of neglect. The tomb of Sheikh Ganj Baksh was active with local devotees in prayer and Quran recitation. A modest library and museum nearby, though disorganized, showcase old currency, documents, and artifacts. The once-grand 17-acre water tank, visible through lattice balconies, now lies dry, used only during the monsoon. It was originally built to support gardens and local needs. Unfortunately, the complex lacks signage and proper maintenance. Still, the place leaves a strong emotional and historical impression—a powerful reminder of Gujarat's rich spiritual and architectural heritage. Sarkhej Roza is not just a monument—it is a silent, crumbling manuscript of history, faith, and forgotten glory.

A wonderful place to experience real, tasty Gujurat I meals and snacks and fresh sugarcane juice in a very traditional setting. Excellent choice for lunch or dinner. The utensils museum is not to be missed. A private collection amassed over 60 years sheds a light into the culture and way is life in all parts of India over centuries through the utensils and other articles used in those eras. Very illuminating. Brilliant. Our guide Rajesh Parma, a curator and an artist was very knowledgeable about the collection and an excellent source of information. If you are visiting Ahmedabad, this museum is a must. Allow 3-4 hours as yiu must experience the gujursti good and the sugarcane juice. Buy some snacks for four onward journey. There is also an open air art gallery displaying the abstract art if Mr Patel , the owner of the museum and an excellent artist . See work posted

The people over there also help visitors to understand the history, usage, and features of the traditional utensils on display. The place is very well maintained—clean, organized, and thoughtfully curated. The ambience is peaceful and carries a calming, positive energy. The highlight of my visit was seeing such a wide variety of old utensils. It made me reflect on how innovative and advanced our ancestors were in their everyday living. It’s a powerful reminder of our rich cultural heritage. Truly worth visiting for anyone who appreciates history, craftsmanship, or just wants a peaceful, insightful outing.

I had visited Vichaar Museum a few months ago and till today the memory of that place feels so fresh. Honestly this was not just a museum visit, it felt like walking into a completely different time. From the moment you enter, you can see how beautifully they have recreated the atmosphere of an old Indian village. The entrance itself gave me a homely feeling, the small lamps lit on the path in the evening and the quiet wind made it almost magical. The collection inside is something that words cannot do justice to. There are utensils made of brass, copper and other metals which were used hundreds of years back. Some of them were so unique that I had never even imagined they existed. I actually spent extra time looking at the nutcrackers and the old meal serving vessels, they were crafted with such detail. My mother, who was with me, got really emotional at one point because she recognised a few utensils that her great grandmother used in their native village. That personal connection made the visit even more special for us. The staff there is also very polite and knowledgeable. One gentleman explained everything to us in such a simple and interesting manner that even children who were visiting along with other families were listening quietly. He told us stories behind certain objects which made the whole experience lively instead of a dull museum round. I felt like giving him a small tip just to appreciate his dedication, and I would suggest anyone visiting to do the same if you feel so, because it is rare to see people put in such heart and effort these days. Another thing I loved was how well the animals were taken care of. You can actually see cows, birds and some other village animals being fed properly which adds to the authentic atmosphere. For a few moments I forgot I was in Ahmedabad city, it truly felt like I had stepped back into a peaceful heritage village. The entry fee is very reasonable compared to the kind of heritage you get to witness. You can easily spend two to three hours here without realising how time passes. For me this was more than just looking at old things, it was like reconnecting with our Indian culture and roots. If you are someone who enjoys history, tradition, or even if you just want a break from the usual city noise and malls, I would strongly recommend visiting this place at least once. Vichaar Museum is a gem and for me it was a 5 out of 5 experience without any doubt.

A MEMORABLE AWESOME RAJASTHAN experience!! 😊❤💯👌 I have always been an admirer of Rajasthani culture. And I'm sure in my lifetime, I was destined to experience this awesome place. It was an adventurous journey of Rajasthsn all together and I made the most of it. 😊🤪 At the entrance see glimpses of special moments with celebrities from Amitabh Bachan(young), Sachin Tendulkar, and the like to mention a few. If you are an admirer of antique home decor, and kitchen accessories, do visit it. 👍👌 The entry fee or the unlimited dinner we opted for costs at 1019 per head, which seems expensive at the beginning, but once you take a tour of what's inside of it you won't regret it a bit. I had no idea of what's in store for us, inside. From the entrance till the dead end, the whole premise is decorated and presented with antique decor ranging from our yester year oil/kerosene lamps to human sized antique earthen pots, trees, wooden fencing, rocks, statues, puppets and interestingly the floors are not concrete or tiled. You have two options to go with, either meals or tea-snacks.☕️🍵🫖 The tables and charpoys for the latter is towards the entrance while the dining tables for dinner are towards the inside of the whole property.🛏 We were there for dinner around 8pm. It was prestine and breathtaking aesthetically.🍴🍲 This museum in the backdrop of chirping birds is secured on all sides by boundary walls, that reminds one of the Fort walls.🧱🦅 What I like most is, they have designed this whole place in its pure, nature friendly and old fashioned way. You can feel the mud under your feet and wood everywhere you touch around.🏞 The dining area is vast, carpeted and you can choose between high chair dining (wooden) tables with benches or the low tables where you can be seated on small cushions or even a stool, if you are more comfortable with it. You are asked to remove footwear before entering the dining area. I had the pleasure of making a small pot at the pottery section.😁 Then we reached the utensil museum, for which entrance is not free and hence we just took a look from the outside. Inside they have cattle farm and geese farms. I guess the unadulterated butter they treat us with are all from here. Aww... no words to explain the food platter🫒😋🍥🏷🥨🍲🍛 served on patal( dried leaves) in a cane baskets at the beginning which includes, saambaaro, cucumber, beetroot, sproted mug, sukhdi, jalebi, dokla, gud, lesan chutney, pickle, mirchi, peanut, pure butter, chaas, beans, pudina chutney, peanuts, romato, onion, lemon. Later bhakari, Rotla, tepla.pappad, corn dish, bataka dish, dal, bhindi masala.🥧🍽🍛🥔🍅🫑🥒 All of these are unlimited served with so much care and affection by the staff in traditional attire or uniform. Unif🥋 I had 5 glasses of chass🧈🥜🍩😋 and many rounds of jalebi. Sukhdi was new to me and I loved it. 😍 😋😝 Then the most attractive part of our exploration here was the Rajasthani dance entertainment in tune with rajasthani folk music. 💃🩰The balancing act of piled up pots on head and the fire are just jawdropping. I did try my dancing skills with the beautiful artist who was looking royal, beautiful and eternal in her grand traditional velvet attire. While seated, we were treated to a mixed juice of apple, lemon and pomegranate. If you are a fan of puppet dance, spend a few minutes there too. I had a great time trying my hand at pot making. We bought a charka too from the shop close to the entrance. They sell many varieties of pickles here. Every journey should end sweet. We treated ourselves to gulab and kesar scoop ice cream.🍨🍧🍦 This was an experience journey to remember for a long time. ✨️ 😊

Part of the Vishalla restaurant complex, this huge collection of pottery and metalware stretches all across a large single-storied pavilion. While there are local Gujarati utensils - for carrying water, milking cattle, storing grains or oil, and so on - there are also other items from other parts of India as well as abroad: samovars, supari cutters, platters, urns, statuettes, toys, etc. These were very impressive, many of them intricately worked, and the massive proportions of some of the storage jars and cooking pots and pans were mind boggling. There's even a cooking pot that is one thousand years old. No entrance fee is charged, and you may photograph the display of pottery along the outside for free. However, if you want to photograph the exhibits inside (the bulk of the museum) a fee of about rupees 500 is charged.

The Enjoy City - Waterpark & adventure park

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Theme Parks
During summer who not wants to go in water park?? 😌 Well, i have visited the enjoy city water park last year. Such a nice journey. If you have your own vehicle then you can easily reach at there. But if you haven't your personal vehicle, then you have to travel through local transport and road is very very rough you can't reach at location easily. Road is very much rouff i think this is the bad part of that journey. If i talking about riding at there, such a huge ride like pendulum and other 4 5 floor ride. It's worth to money which you spend there. Also their music system i also like. They have best ride at there but some ride is not there so hope in upcoming time they built new rides and it's canteen is also good. I really like it. I recommend public to go there and take advantage of such a nice Glory of Gujarat. 🥰
Jaydip — Google review
The place looks very good. All rides are fine. But I must say take shower before going into the water park and after finishing, otherwise you may get some infection like skin burning issue or red skin issue. Everything else is fine. Food quality is also good.I enjoyed a lot.
Dev — Google review
Its okay for one time visit, as rides are open for particular schedule hours. And also not proper kind of cleanliness + management, Yah but for particular price range should be a best choice. They should focus more on cleanliness/neatness/hygeine.

~The Enjoy city is very good place for one day fully refreshing picnic. ~For water rides & slides 5 out of 5. ~natural atmosphere & greenery not as expected. ~adventure park is plus point for enjoy city. ~ adventure park entry fee included with water park tickets but you have to pay extra for some premium rides. ~ food taste was good but it's little bit costly. ~ Out side food is not allowed in water park. ~ overall great experience.

We have visited this Place on Sunday. I got a Negative feedback From my Friend About this water park. But Actually i found this place better. I would personally say if you Visit this place on Vacation Days it would be Definitely Full of Crowd and that's Natural. But if you plan to Visit this place on Non seasonal Day's like monsoon and Winter you would definitely find less Crowd here and you will also enjoy all Rides. Likes : 1 All Rides. 2 Most Like Rides Are Cobra and near to that all Big Rides. These Rides Are Most excited and Paisa Vasool Rides. 3 Advance Booking Facility. 4 Staff was very Cooperative and Kind. 5 Other Facilities Like Baby Cradle Facility is Provided. 6 Food was Amazing. There are all type of Food Available Like Full Dish, Fast Food, Ice cream, Cold Drinks. Dislikes : 1 Price Of Food is too high aa compared to Other water parks. 2 at many places Floor is not proper. The Flooring is Damaged so there is small stone's which may Cause an Injury. 3 Power cut is Many Time during a Day. 4 Amusement park is not so attractive and big. All the 5 paid premium Rides should be keep Free. Overall I would Suggest this water park to Visit once. If you make a booking Advance it's actually very Cheap. This is a good Deal.

Superb Water park Ever.. 👌Huge rides and separate rides for children as well. Wave, Foam shower, Open Rain dance, Closed rain dance with lighting are awesome, Very good facilities for Food and drinking water. > Only need improvement on below points, 1. Water quality is not good, mixed to much dust. 2. Need to reduce space between joint parts of rides which causes the scratches on back. 3. In some closed ride we haven't enjoyed because of total darkness, need to keep transparent sheet in between little distance in whole ride or fit the LED lighting in different colors. 4. Floor Tiles are very sleepy where the building of rides. Also Railings not fitted correctly and somewhere it's broken which causes the incident. Finally, it's superb. Must visit at least once

3rd class 3rd class 3rd class Dirty Dirty Dirty …. Must go through my shared photos. One of the 3rd class water park in Gujarat. There was no any system from starting to end. Tickets process was very difficult. Ticket provider staff was very incapable. We have spoiled 2 hours for tickets. After tickets, there is no any proper system for costume and locker. Price of costume is also high compare to the Best water park Shankus. Water was very very very very dirty. I will never suggest this water park. There was only Lil in the water. Very unhealthy. Walking footpath is also very bad you can see the photos in my review. Changing room and Locker room was very dirty. Door was broken and very dirty. Even dirty than public toilets. Parking was also very bad. They took 50 Rs for parking but I don’t know why there ware talking 50 Rs. Rides waiting are was very dirty. Even can’t stay there due to dirty smell. Very bad experience in my life. They just run the water park for money. I will never suggest anyone. Shankus and Bliss are best water park in Gujarat.

Very bad experience, no maintenance at all of slides and places. Water is also dirty, literaly algae is formed, they dont replace the water after a day. Canel made for boating is also closed. Water is very dirty (green with algae). Electricity is also not stable there. 3 times electricity went off during a day. Food quality served in their canteen is very poor and costly. No sweeper is there to clean the area.

Camp Hanuman Temple offers a truly enchanting experience. The atmosphere is peaceful and spiritually uplifting. One of the best parts is how well-organized everything is — shaded walkways have been thoughtfully constructed, making the visit comfortable even in the peak of summer. The premises are quite spacious, allowing for a relaxed darshan without feeling crowded. Overall, a serene and well-maintained place that leaves you feeling calm and blessed.

It was a great experience visiting Shree Camp Hanumanji Mandir, I went to see blessings of my Isht dev Hanumanji on the occasion of Hanuman Janmotsav, the temple was packed, long lines, all raising slogans of Jai shree ram, it was heavenly, as soon as you step into the temple you become aware of Hanuman ji's powers. It's a must visit temple for ram Bhakt and hanuman Bhakt. Easily accessible, you have to walk through the Cantonment road under army vigil, it's good, the security is top notch, and the environment is great as well

Powerful and Positive Vibes at Camp Hanuman Temple! Visited Camp Hanuman Temple today, a Saturday, and it was a truly uplifting experience! Located within the Ahmedabad Cantonment, the temple has a serene and powerful atmosphere. From the moment I entered, I felt a wave of positivity and a sense of strength, much like the energy one associates with Hanuman Ji himself. The darshan was peaceful, and the idol of Hanuman Ji is beautifully adorned and inspiring. The walk to the temple is straightforward, and the main temple structure has a distinct and welcoming appearance. It's a well-maintained and spiritually charged place. If you're looking for a place to find some peace, offer prayers, and experience a truly divine connection, I highly recommend visiting Shree Camp Hanumanji Mandir. It's a perfect weekend spiritual outing. The positive energy here is palpable and leaves you feeling refreshed and strong. A must-visit in Ahmedabad for devotees and anyone seeking a moment of tranquility.

Early morning and Tuesday visits give a deeply spiritual and energetic experience. The chanting of prayers and sound of bells create an atmosphere full of devotion and purity. Army personnel around the area maintain perfect order, giving the temple a safe and calm environment. Lighting and decorations during festivals make it look divine and mesmerizing. It’s a place where you instantly feel your mind becoming calm and your heart filled with faith. Truly, the Army Camp Hanuman Temple is a must-visit spiritual gem for everyone seeking divine peace and power.

Camp Hanuman Mandir is highly regarded for its tranquil atmosphere, disciplined and secure environment, and deep spiritual significance. Its setting within a military area gives it a distinctive feel — not just another city temple, but a more “protected” and solemn place of worship. Must carry valid i card physically or digitally being a restricted area.

Nestled in the serene surroundings of Mahemdavad, Gujarat, the Sri Siddhivinayak Devasthan is a magnificent temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh. Its unique elephant-shaped architecture and beautifully landscaped gardens create an inviting atmosphere for visitors. The temple houses a stunning idol of Ganesha on the third floor, while the first floor showcases various Ganesha idols from around the world, each with its own story.
We went to the Asian's biggest temple of lord Shree Ganesha during summer vacation. It makes up from the mountain and cave structured temple makes me feel like I'm on an adventure! It was a blissful and great experience with family and friends both. I liked the Prasadam arrangement, entering the temple, various Ganesha's sculptures across the world there. I would love to go there again and again!!💕

A beautiful and wonderful temple of lord ganeshji at bank of vatrak river in mahemdavad town of kheda district in gujarat. It is near from Ahmedabad and nadiad. The main thing about this mandir is shape, that is given to the lord ganeshji's face. The temple is made with Australian technique. There is also temple of lord Shiva, arbuda ma. It is asia's biggest temple of lord ganeshji with shape of ganeshji's face.

Sri Sidhi Vinayaka Devasthala is a unique and beautiful temple, known for holding the record of being the biggest Ganesha-shaped temple. The architecture and premises are really impressive and well maintained. I visited during Ganesha Chaturthi, so it was quite crowded and took around 30 minutes in line. The temple is properly managed and clean, with a food court and even a small game zone for kids, which makes it family-friendly. Overall, a very nice spiritual and cultural spot to visit in Ahmedabad.

“Peaceful & Divine Experience” Siddhivinayak Temple in Mehmdavad is truly a place filled with positivity and devotion. The temple is beautifully maintained and gives a very calm and spiritual vibe the moment you enter. Darshan is smooth, and the environment feels peaceful with the chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” all around. The temple premises are clean, well-organized, and perfect for spending some quiet, prayerful time with family. If you’re in Mehmdavad, this temple is definitely a must-visit for blessings and peace of mind. 🙏✨

Shri Siddhi Vinayak Devasthan which is located in Mehmadabad. It is very beautiful and stands out in terms of design because the shape of the temple is made like the shape of Ganpati Bappa's face. This temple is two-storeyed, in which the temple of Ganpati Bappa is on the second floor, the temple of Mahadev on the first floor and the shopping area on the ground floor. This temple is open from 6 am to 10 pm. There is also a food court where you can eat whatever you want, in which South Indian, Punjabi, Chinese and Gujarati and fast food are available. But there is nothing good to eat here. There is also a very large space for parking outside. Many people also do their own vows here. In which you have to bring your own wheat and make it upside down near the temple and after the vow is completed, you have to come back to the temple and make a straight vow from the wheat.
