As a traveler, visiting the Dalai Lama Temple in McLeodganj, Dharamshala was a wonderful experience. The temple has a serene atmosphere, deeply connected with Tibetan culture and spirituality. The peaceful vibes, prayer wheels, and monks chanting create a very calming environment. It’s not just a religious site but also a cultural experience that leaves you feeling positive and refreshed. Highly recommended for anyone exploring Dharamshala.

Always a delight visit the holiness place. This time I also attended his lifelong ceremony with a bunch of tibetans and renowned scholars who happened to visit this ceremony and seek his blessings from all over the world. Such a delight to witness him and this ceremony in person and feel a surge of true spiritual energy, even with more than 1000 people around. I guess it's the holiness in Dharamshala effect.
Vallari G — Google review
Peaceful and calming place. Loved the temple inside, prayer wheels, monks chanting, and beautiful mountain views. Great spot to experience Tibetan culture and soak in the serene vibe. Must-visit when in McLeod Ganj! No entrance fees, you can buy souvenirs from the market right outside the temple.

The Dalai Lama Temple in McLeodganj is a peaceful and spiritually uplifting place that everyone should visit when in Dharamshala. The atmosphere is incredibly calm, with monks chanting, prayer wheels lining the walkways, and the soothing sounds of Tibetan rituals creating a deep sense of serenity. The temple premises are also home to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, which makes the place even more special and meaningful. Simply being in this sacred space gives a sense of peace and humility. The complex is clean, well-maintained, and very accessible, located just a short walk from the main market. Visitors can sit quietly inside, observe the prayers, or walk the meditation circuit with spinning prayer wheels. The surrounding mountain views further enhance the experience, blending nature with spirituality beautifully. Overall, a must-visit spot in McLeodganj — perfect for reflection, calmness, and experiencing Tibetan culture up close.

A peaceful and spiritually uplifting place. I visited the Dalai Lama Temple in McLeod Ganj and was fortunate to be there while prayers were going on. The atmosphere was calm and serene, filled with the soothing sound of chants and the gentle spinning of prayer wheels. It truly felt like a place of deep reflection and tranquility. The temple is simple yet beautiful, surrounded by scenic views of the mountains. A must-visit if you're in Dharamshala and looking to experience peace and spirituality.

Our family visited this Budhist Dalai Lama temple (also known as Theckchen Choeling Buddha Vihar) on 24 October 2025. There is no entry fees. There is a residential venue of Dalai Lama, in front of the temple complex. It has a Beautiful, calm, quiet, serene, religious atmosphere with excellent infrastructure for religious ceremony and meditation.
Brijmohan D — Google review
It is very beautiful temple of His Highness The 14 th Dalai Lama. He stays in the temple area and gives sermons to his disciples whenever he is in Mcleodgang. There is adequate security in the area and common people can see the temple with ease and comfort. You get spiritual experience whenever you visit this temple. There are statues of Tibetan Saints in the complex and one experiences utmost peace and tranquility in the temple. You can see The 14th Dalai Lama in the temple whenever he is in Mcleodganj and gives sermons. One must visit the temple whenever one visits Dharamshala.

The Tibet Museum is a charming space that showcases the rich history and culture of Tibet through photography, video exhibits, and traditional artwork. The museum's elegant architecture combines Chinese and Tibetan styles, creating a beautiful setting for its collection of prehistoric cultural artifacts, folk art, treasures, and crafts. Visitors can explore the museum's modern facilities while learning about the struggles faced by the Tibetan people in the wake of Chinese invasion.
A must visit to understand the evolution of the Tibetan people. Very rich in information - you should buffer at least 2 hours to go through the amazing consolidation of data that they have put together. No one asked for a ticket when I entered but I put the money into a donation box on my way out. It’s a beautiful museum within tranquil surroundings of administrative Tibetan buildings of the exiled govt.

Clean and organised. It is critical to visit this museum as part of your trip to McLeodganj or Dharamshala. Don't miss the audio headphones of personal accounts to better understand the pain and torture that was inflicted on HH the Dalai Lama and his beloved people.

Calm & peaceful. Can spend 3-4 hrs for a thorough experience. May finish in 2hrs. Canteen present. Books & merch available. Space for quiet walks. Very interesting for Tibetan enthusiasts. Must visit.
Adarsh T — Google review
We have so small time gap till close. Please note, that the museum is open until 17:00, like everywhere. One hour is not enough. For me it spents only for two photo-walls - with history of Tibet and yellow-white «cubes» with short answers of Dalai Lama on short questions. Did not very like one thing - so much TV with earphones showing Dalai Lama on each wall. Interactivity of museum is not means this kind of solution method. Find other way to introduce moving movie. And about history-wall. Mostly things I read on the wall was about when some Lama came, when came another. Less information about relationships with other countries , less details about nower period after 1959. Hope, other rooms is informative and well-designed. For such small nation (Tibetians) good Museum is very important. When we was in it, there is only one visitor except us. Tourists all the day are in other more interesting places maybe.

Kindly be responsible and respectful while going to this tiny township . A very aesthetically located Monastery. A peek into the Tibetan world. Avoid taking big cars to this hill town. Preferably park your cars down at the ropeway and use the ropeway to the township. Use public means to move around the congested narrow roads.

Brilliant place! Incredibly interesting learning about Tibetan culture and seeing them work in real life. The Buddhist statues, artefacts etc are all well put together. The place is well laid out with easy to follow map and info leaflets at the front. The gardens are also very well maintained and beautiful. It has a nice shop for souvenirs also It says free guide but we unfortunately came when they were on lunch… ticket is 200 rupees as foreigner Highly recommend!

Norbulingka Institute – Living Tibetan Heritage One of the must-visit places near Dharamsala is the Norbulingka Institute, a centre dedicated to keeping Tibetan culture alive in exile. What struck me most was the care and patience of the artisans. Here, traditional skills are still practiced every day — from thangka painting, to the making of copper images, to the crafting of wooden boxes and furniture. Each piece reflects not only artistry, but also devotion, because these crafts are part of Tibetan spiritual life. Walking through the workshops, you see how much effort is poured into preserving this heritage. It’s not simply about producing objects — it’s about ensuring that future generations can still experience the beauty and meaning of these traditions. The grounds are beautiful too, with peaceful gardens and courtyards, and the Deden Tsuglagkhang temple at the centre — a place that feels both artistic and spiritual. There is also a shop, where you can bring home a thangka, statue, or hand-crafted item — often things hard to find outside India. Supporting these artisans helps the tradition continue. And if you linger longer, the restaurant in the garden is a lovely place for lunch. Norbulingka is a little way from Dharamsala town, so it works best as part of a day trip with other sights. But it is well worth the effort. More than a tourist stop, it is a living bridge between the Tibet that was, and the Tibet that continues to survive and flourish in exile.

Norbulingka Institute in Dharamshala is one of those places that makes traveling feel purposeful. It’s a beautiful blend of art, culture, and serenity, where every workshop and craft studio feels like a live classroom. You actually get to learn how Tibetan traditions are preserved, practiced, and passed on — and the artisans are insanely skilled. The campus is lush, peaceful, and perfect for slowing down while soaking in real knowledge. If you’re someone who travels for culture, creativity, and new perspectives, this place is an absolute must.
Siddharth K — Google review
Norbulingka Institute is a peaceful escape where Tibetan art and culture come alive. The lush gardens, flowing water channels, and beautifully crafted temple create a calming atmosphere. Watching artisans work on thangka paintings and wood carvings was a unique experience. The Losel Doll Museum is small but charming. The café and shop are slightly pricey, but the quality justifies it. Overall, a must visit for anyone looking to explore Tibetan heritage in a serene setting.

Stadium
Sights & Landmarks
Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala is located in the picturesque Kangra Valley, surrounded by the majestic Dhauladhar mountains and lush pine and deodar forests. The town of Dharamshala offers a blend of Tibetan and Indian cultures, with vibrant neighborhoods like Mcleod Ganj and Sindhbari to explore. As the residence of the Dalai Lama, it's known for its Tibetan temples and rich traditions.
Absolutely breathtaking venue! The HPCA Stadium offers a unique cricket-watching experience with the snow-capped Dhauladhar mountains as a stunning backdrop. The atmosphere during matches is electric, and even on non-match days, it’s worth visiting for the views alone. Seating is decent, and the pitch conditions have improved significantly in recent years. However, parking is limited, and facilities like washrooms and food stalls could use better management during large events. Best to visit during a day match to enjoy the scenic beauty. A must-see for cricket fans and travelers alike!

You don’t have to watch a match to visit this place you can just go an visit to this beautiful stadium by paying a fee of 30 or maybe it increases by the time you arrive but trust me this is a very good place with all the ipl team posters on it. Trust me buddies you will love the view of this place and it is worth visiting this beautiful stadium here. I went here along with my friends and we had lot of fun here and yes one more thing no water from outside is allowed inside even a plastic water bottle is prohibited so guys the entire story is here just rock and roll this stadium whenever you get time to visit here and do let me know if any help is required

The Dharamshala Cricket Stadium is truly one of the most breathtaking places I have ever visited! Nestled in the lap of the mighty Dhauladhar mountain range, it offers a view so spectacular that it feels like nature and sport have come together in perfect harmony. Watching a match here — or even just standing in the stands — is an unforgettable experience. The stadium is impeccably maintained, clean, and organized. The vibrant green outfield set against the snow-capped Himalayan peaks creates a surreal atmosphere, unlike any other cricket ground in the world. It’s not just a venue for cricket; it’s a destination for peace, beauty, and inspiration. The facilities are excellent — from comfortable seating to proper security and amenities for visitors. Even when there isn’t a match happening, the staff is kind enough to let you explore and take in the view. The management and local authorities have done a fantastic job preserving both the sporting spirit and the natural serenity of the place. Whether you’re a cricket lover or simply a traveler seeking something unique, the Dharamshala Stadium is a must-visit. It’s more than just the world’s highest international cricket stadium — it’s a slice of paradise where every photo looks like a postcard. Absolutely deserving of 5 stars for its beauty, ambiance, and the pride it brings to Indian cricket! 🌄🏏🇮🇳

Beautiful Stadium But Beware of Scam Activity Outside The HPCA Cricket Stadium in Dharamshala is easily one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world, surrounded by the majestic Dhauladhar mountain range. The views are absolutely breathtaking snow clad peaks, fresh mountain air, and a perfectly maintained field. Even on non-match days, the entry fee (₹30 via UPI) is totally worth it for the serenity and scenic beauty. The stands are colorful, the stadium is clean, and staff are generally polite and cooperative. However, visitors should stay alert outside the main gate. There are people pretending to represent resort or travel companies (often with names like Karma Group) with ID probably fake ID cards handing out scratch cards for tgeir 31st anniversary claiming “free prizes” or “holiday vouchers.” This is a misleading sales scam they invite you to a “presentation” that turns into a high-pressure attempt to sell costly vacation memberships. Many visitors have reported that these offers are fake, and the promised gifts are never delivered or come with hidden charges. Tourists often end up losing time and face unnecessary stress. It’s important that visitors do not share personal details or sign any forms from these individuals. Politely decline and walk away. Tourists have repeatedly faced such incidents near the stadium entrance. The HPCA authorities and local police should look into this matter to maintain the safe, welcoming environment that this world class venue deserves. This place is a jewel of Himachal let’s keep it safe and scam free for everyone to enjoy! 🏟️🏔️

The Dharamshala Cricket Stadium, also known as the HPCA Stadium, is one of the most scenic cricket stadiums in the world — and it truly lives up to that title. Nestled in the lap of the mighty Dhauladhar mountains, this stadium offers a breathtaking backdrop of snow-capped peaks that makes watching a cricket match here a magical experience. 🚨What I Loved❤️🫶 :- ✅ Stunning Mountain Views: The Himalayas in the background are mesmerizing, especially during sunset🌞 ✅ Clean & Well-Maintained: The stadium is very clean, with good seating arrangements and security. ✅ Pleasant Weather: The cool mountain breeze adds to the enjoyment, especially in the summer months. ✅ Good Facilities: The arrangements for food, restrooms, and parking are well managed. ✅ Peaceful Environment: Even outside match days, you can visit the stadium and enjoy its peaceful surroundings. 🚨Things to Note✍️:- 1 )- Tickets sell out quickly during major matches, so book early. Now this time means date 18 june Ticket price is only rupees 30rs. per person. 2 )-Carry light jackets even in summer — it can get unexpectedly chilly. Whether you are a cricket fan or a nature lover, the Dharamshala Cricket Stadium is a must-visit. It’s not just a place to watch sports — it’s a place to soak in nature and feel truly alive . ❤️🤩 I love this location for seeing the match 🫶 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ❤️

Masroor Rock-cut Temple

Sights & Landmarks
Masroor Rock Cut Temple, also known as Himalayan Pyramid, is a complex of monolithic rock-cut temples located in Masroor, Kangra Valley. The temple complex features ornate architectural carvings and is built in the shikhara style of classical Indian architecture. Dating back to the 8th to 10th centuries, these sandstone sikharas are hewn from living rock and are rare for North India.
It was an hour long drive from our air bnb in Rakkar, dharamshala. There are two routes, one going via tiara and gaggal road which is steeper and narrower than the state highway 23 road which has gentle slopes and obviously wider than the other but the distance is 9 kms more than the other. So the choice is yours. The place has relics of single stone carved temple. It's beautiful and so calm and serene. Whoever is interested in some history as well as some serene place, should absolutely visit and spend some time, just sitting and enjoying the beauty of nature around you.

On return from Dharamshala to Chandigarh we planned to visit Masroor Rock cut temple. It is a real wonder as temples are built on one Rock just as in Ellora. Though temples were affected by 1905 earthquake but one can see the temple. Restoration work is going on and idols have been kept for worship. However no one is allowed to offer money.
Ranjay V — Google review
A monolithic rock cut temple of around eighth century. The place is not so popular among tourists. The architecture is wonderful and amazing. Although it was damaged by the 1905 earthquake, still what remains is awesome. A must visit for history lovers.
BIDHAN B — Google review
Masroor Rock Cut Temples – A Hidden Gem of Ancient Architecture Visited on: 6th May 2025 On 6th May 2025, we explored one of Himachal Pradesh’s lesser-known but truly awe-inspiring historical sites —the Masroor Rock Cut Temples. Located about 40 km from Dharamshala, this archaeological wonder is nestled in the quiet village of Masroor, offering a rare and mesmerizing blend of history, spirituality, and natural beauty. These temples are believed to date back to the 8th century and are carved entirely out of a single rock, much like the famous Kailasa Temple in Ellora. The complex consists of 15 monolithic rock-cut shrines, primarily dedicated to Lord Shiva, though some also depict Vishnu and other deities from the Hindu pantheon. What’s most striking is the intricate detailing in the stone carvings—though many have weathered over the centuries, the remaining figures, pillars, and facades still hint at the grandeur of the original structure. The temples face the Dhauladhar mountain range, and there's a serene water tank in front that reflects the entire complex beautifully—especially during clear daylight. The site is relatively quiet and uncrowded, allowing you to explore at your own pace, absorb the silence, and marvel at the craftsmanship. There’s a calm, sacred energy in the air, and it's easy to feel transported to a different era. Highlights of Our Visit: - The panoramic view of the snow-capped Dhauladhars from the temple platform was breathtaking. - The cool stone interiors offered a welcome break from the summer heat. - The peaceful ambiance made it ideal for quiet reflection and photography. Travel Tips: - You'll need to purchase tickets online from the website of the Archeological Society of India - Best visited in the morning or late afternoon for softer light and fewer crowds. - Carry water and snacks, as there are limited facilities around the site. - Wear sturdy shoes—some parts involve uneven steps and rocky paths. - Respect the sanctity of the temple area and avoid climbing over fragile carvings. Final Thoughts: The Masroor Rock Cut Temples are a true hidden treasure of Himachal Pradesh. Though not as widely publicized as other heritage sites in India, they deserve much more recognition for their architectural and historical significance. If you're in the Dharamshala or Kangra region, make the time to visit—you’ll walk away with a sense of wonder and deep appreciation for ancient Indian artistry.

The Masroor Temple, also known as the Rock-Cut Temple, is an 8th-century Hindu temple complex located in the Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. It's a remarkable example of ancient Indian rock-cut architecture, carved out of a single sandstone rock. According to local mythology, the Pandavas built the temple during their exile. The temple complex consists of 15 rock-cut temples arranged around a rectangular water pond, reflecting the intricate carvings in its still waters. The temple showcases North Indian Nagara architecture style, with a central shikhara tower and a sacred pool. The temple is dedicated to deities to Lord Shiva, Vishnu, Devi, and Saura of Hinduism, with sculptures and reliefs depicting various gods and goddesses. The temple complex was first reported by Henry Shuttleworth in 1913 and is believed to have been built between the 7th -9th centuries AD.The temple is located in the Kangra Valley, 43 km from Dharamshala. The temple is open from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.the Entry fees I think ₹25 And the Best Time to Visit in this month ie October to February forpleasant weather and festivals.

Peaceful pilgrim place where people come from various parts of India to wish and pray for their goodwill. However the Sarovar is in bad shape and needs a lot of cleaning.

Pandori Dham is not just a spiritual destination—it’s an experience that touches your soul. The peaceful aura, divine energy, and unwavering devotion felt here are beyond words. Every corner tells a story—from the serene sarovar to the murals that bring the Ramayana alive. I felt deeply connected, grounded, and spiritually recharged. The langar, the darshan, and the presence of the 1108 Acharya Raghubir Das ji all come together to create a sense of belonging. It’s a place where time slows down, and the heart feels full. If you’re seeking inner peace and divine blessings, Pandori Dham is a must-visit.

Pandori Dham is a serene and picturesque destination. The main gate and spacious parking area make it convenient for visitors. The temple's interior is meticulously maintained, exuding tranquility. The temple complex features various sacred spots for worship and reflection. We visited with our family and felt a deep sense of peace. There's also a cave, now closed, which was once used as a passage. It's said to stretch far, even connecting to Haridwar. Outside the temple lies a serene pond with a Shiva idol. We strolled around, enjoyed the park, and spotted peacocks nearby. During rainfall, the place becomes even more enchanting. *Tips for visiting:* 1. Ideal for family outings. 2. Offers spiritual solace and peace. 3. Natural beauty and peacock spotting. Pandori Dham is a haven for spiritual rejuvenation and relaxation.

My parents say they are hooked to this place from Generations. So we have got to know this place from family only and we tend to visit twice or thrice a year. Whenever some marriage happens in my family, it is custom to donate bedsheets blanket and pillows here. Reason I don't know but that's what we are supposed to do as told by my great grand maternal mother. So recently we did that. Place is hub to nature. One can easily spot the peacocks here and all the Flora and fauna. The place has alot of importance. They say under guruji one pet dog specifically female dog just ate almost 50 KG opium in front of jahangeer जहांगीर badshah and then That king alloted the whole space wherever that dog went. Lot of parking space is available but the link road as of today was under construction which connects pandhori to national highway. Langar is available nearby 1 to 2PM. Tea snacks will be available from 4 PM. SBI bank and ATM are available here for working days only. One has to bow heads in front of Baba mahesh das ji temple while Coming and going also then only the visit will be completed. Market offers prasad which you can take along to temple. Do come and explore this place. Students cannot come without teachers. People come with newly married couples and get blessings of guruji. People come here to get the names of newly born babies. Visit and enjoy.

12 August 2025 As name suggests Mata in form of Balamukhi. The whole temple and surrounding is of yellow colour. You feel empowered while present in the Temple. Must go once and feel the devine power. Havan continue there non stop. I have seen approximately 10-15 shed dedicatily design for the Havan and all were occupied. There are so many counters for Havan inquiry Management: I have never suvh management and cleaningness so far anywhere. Too much clean to sit at any place and you would find clean. The office of महंत itself indicates that how the management is good there. Even there is coffee cafe inside temple and look so good. Each Temple management must visit once to learn how to organise. The Bagalamukhi Temple is a Hindu temple located in Bankhandi, Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Bagalamukhi, one of the ten Tantric Mahavidya goddesses. The goddess, also known as Peetambhara, is associated with the colour yellow. She is depicted seated on a golden throne with pillars decorated with jewels and has three eyes, symbolising her ability to grant ultimate knowledge to her devotees. The temple is especially popular during the Hindu goddess-centric festival of Navaratri. It is one of three historically significant shrines dedicated to Bagalamukhi in India, the others being the Pitambara Peeth in Datia and the Bagalamukhi Temple in Nalkheda. It is believed that worshipping goddess Bagalamukhi at this temple enhances one’s power and weakens one’s enemies, rendering them powerless. This highlights her role as a divine protector and a formidable force against adversities. According to Hindu legend, Rama, guided by Hanuman, worshipped goddess Bagalamukhi here to gain victory over the demon king Ravana. The goddess granted Rama the divine weapon Brahmastra, symbolising the triumph of good over evil. The temple houses a sacred fire pit (Havan Kund), where Rama is believed to have performed a havan to seek her blessings.

The Shri Mata Chintpurni Temple is a revered pilgrimage site and one of the Shaktipeeths in India, located in Una district, Himachal Pradesh. According to legend, it is believed to be the place where Sati's feet fell after Lord Shiva carried her corpse and wandered in sorrow. Devotees from all over India visit this majestic temple to worship at the lotus feet of Maa Chintpurni.
After standing in a long queue for almost 6 hours, we managed to get darshan of Mata Chintpurni Ji. This temple is a major pilgrimage destination and one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India. Devotees from all across the country visit here to pray for their long-cherished wishes and desires to come true. I have seen many married couples coming here with their newborns, with the purpose to offer prayers after wish fulfilment. The temple's main gate is made of gold and once you enter you can get a clear darshan of the idol. Pandits are available to help you with the pooja. There is a tree where you can tie the sacred thread, while uttering your wish or desire in your heart that you want to get fulfilled. Someone has even tied a twin-baby doll on the tree, maybe after getting blessed with twins. I feel grateful and privileged for getting the opportunity to visit such a powerful spiritual place. Shoes need to be kept in one of the many pooja-item shops. Crowd management is really commendable. Highly recommended to visit.😇🙏🏻🛕

🌸 **Chintpurni Mata Mandir, Himachal Pradesh** 🌸 Visiting Chintpurni Mata Mandir was a truly blessed and peaceful experience. The temple is beautifully located amidst the hills, offering not just spiritual peace but also stunning views of nature. The darshan experience was smooth, and the temple premises are well-maintained and clean. The priests and staff are kind and helpful, making sure devotees are guided properly. The energy in the temple is powerful — you can really feel the presence of Mata Rani, and it fills your heart with devotion and calm. The local market near the temple is lively, with many stalls selling prasad, flowers, and souvenirs. There are also small eateries around where you can enjoy simple local food. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting Chintpurni Mata Mandir if you’re in Himachal Pradesh — it’s not just a religious visit but also a chance to soak in the peaceful vibes of the mountains and experience the rich culture and faith of the region. 🌺🙏

visited Chintpurni Mata Temple in Amb, Una, and it was a truly blissful experience. We reached there by taxi, the road was smooth, though about half a kilometer before the temple it became a little sloppy. From the drop point, it was just a 10-minute walk to the shrine. The walk itself felt divine, surrounded by serenity and devotees. The temple is one of the Shakti Peethas, believed to be the place where the feet of Goddess Sati fell, making it a site of immense historical and spiritual importance. The aura inside the temple was filled with positive energy, giving me a deep sense of calm and strength. Overall, the visit was peaceful, well-organized, and spiritually uplifting. Nice place to visit. Particularly interesting for children. It is costly in terms of tickets and entertainement. But with the various activities, toy train, boating, shows, huge area, dinosaur park and children enjoyment, with paying the price. Some area was closed today but enough for the day. Normally they ask for package, you can take package which usually costs lower. There are many scenic area, if you like photography then I believe you should plan according for the day light or Sun light directions for best shots.

Devotion and Architecture: Nestled in Arya Nagar, Jalandhar, is a beautiful temple complex that serves as a spiritual haven. The serene environment, punctuated by the soothing sounds of bells and hymns, offers a welcome respite. The temple's landscape is dotted with various shrines dedicated to different deities, creating a harmonious and inclusive atmosphere for all visitors. The architectural style is a fascinating mix of traditional and contemporary elements. While the main structures have the classic tiered domes and spires typical of North Indian temple architecture, there are also modern, clean lines and polished marble surfaces that lend the complex a pristine look. A prominent feature is the impressive golden dome, which is a modern addition but reflects the traditional pyramidal shape of temple shikhara. Among the various deities enshrined here, a large statue of Lord Hanuman stands prominently, representing strength and devotion. The temple's interior is equally beautiful, with intricate carvings on the pillars and altars. The use of white marble gives the space a sense of purity and calm, enhancing the spiritual experience for all who enter. This temple complex is not just a place of worship but a cultural and architectural landmark. It beautifully merges ancient religious traditions with modern design, creating a space that is both historically significant and relevant to contemporary spiritual life. It's a place where you can find peace and feel a deep sense of connection.

Very nice experience at the spiritual place. We stayed at the dharamshala inside the temple premises. For 900 rupees per day, we were given a big room with AC and geyser in the bathroom. Rooms were clean compared to other dharamshalas. It takes around 90 minutes to fully cover all places inside the temple. Mornings and evenings are the best time to visit the temple. It's a bit crowded in the evening. Staying in Dharamshala was a great experience as we can visit the temple any number of times effortlessly. The management personnel were very helpful.

The thali was good however there was no fresh safed makhan or makki ka roti or even gulab jamun. The chai was poor because there was no option for no sugar the ladies who made the parantha were never listening to my grandmother who is seventy years old and kept giving her rotis not fresh tawa ka parantha. And the dancing was great however the music is deafening. However the kulfi, dhai Bhalla were amazing, the magic show was great however the chuski was too sweet, I would not recommend bringing the elderly to eat the snacks as it was way too sweet. Locatuon is good right at the highway. Inside atmosphere is good but areawise is not so big. Cultural programme is great. Punjab old cluture is displayed everywhere which is good to see if you have come for the first time Inside a big restaurant is there which is included in the entry ticket but frankly I didnt like the food inside and the biggest reason is - We had so many small meals/ food around the restaurant ( stalls everywhere like chaat, candys, ice cream etc) inside and we got full and there is no place left for the dinner. We suggest you to have the fresh baked roti with makkahn and chutney stall and enjoy other small meals ( chaat, pani puri, candys, ice cream kulfi, aam panna jaggery tea etc.), for diner you can opt after sometime post your digestion. Evrything is included in the entry ticket. Overall I feel the entry ticket 1000 is over priced as the place is not so big and also the food option is limited. One time visit is good.

Also, don’t forget to buy most famous Besan Barfi from here. It’s so tasty, less sugary and the quality is just awesome. Washrooms are so hygienic and tidy just like International Airports or Shopping Malls. Here, no one runs behind you to make you pay for Dharshan and getting blessings of Nakodar Darbar. The pond behind this Dargah is one of the most cleaned and beautiful pond I have ever seen in my life. The water is so clean and the palm trees surrounding it is just so scenic and amazing. It's a public park, located near the stadium. The entry to the park is free for the public, though parking of the vehicle next to the park is paid and limited. Best time to visit is during day in winters and evenings in summers. General cleanliness of the park is good. It's a good place to bring kids as the park holds good amount of playbees for them (on a payment though) . Best amongst them is the rent a bicycle, where one can hire a bike for self and the kids too and ride it on the bike track inside the park. There is a place which houses the eats, reasonably priced (vegetarian only). Hygiene along with taste including variety would be rated at 7/10.

My recent visit to Gurudwara Nanaksar Kaleeran Sahib was a deeply spiritual and peaceful experience. Surrounded by lush green fields and calm countryside air, this sacred place holds a unique aura of serenity and divine connection. As soon as I stepped inside the Gurudwara premises, I felt an overwhelming sense of calmness and purity. The melodious kirtan (hymns) being sung by the ragis created an atmosphere that touched the soul and helped quiet the mind. The architecture of the Gurudwara is beautiful — simple yet grand, reflecting traditional Sikh design with its white marble and golden dome. The premises were immaculately clean and well-maintained, showing the dedication of the sewadars who serve here with true devotion. The experience was further elevated when I received the Hukamnama Sahib, the divine order of the day, which felt personally guiding and deeply meaningful. I’ve attached the image of the Hukamnama as a cherished reminder of the spiritual wisdom received that day. The Langar (community meal), as always, was a symbol of equality and kindness — prepared and served with love, reminding us of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings of seva (selfless service) and vand chakna (sharing with others). Overall, my visit to Nanaksar Kaleeran Sahib was more than just a trip — it was a soulful experience that renewed faith, brought peace, and filled the heart with gratitude. A truly divine place that every devotee should visit. 🙏✨ #GurudwaraNanaksarKaleeran #Hukamnama #Faith #Peace #Sikhism #Seva #SpiritualJourney

The Gurudwara was established by Baba Nand Singh Ji for the social welfare of the Sikh community. They wanted to spread the message of our all 10 Guru's through our Holy book Gurugarnth Sahib. Moreover, whenever you will visit here you will find artificial Tigers & Lions everywhere, the reason behind the wild animals used to come here to listen the Gurubani and train frequently stopped nearby railways line without any stopage ( locals beliefs). Very faithful and peaceful and beautiful palace. Spiritual healing and peace are the properties of the Gurudwara Dukhnivaran Sahib, one of the most revered Gurudwaras in Punjab. Located in Lehal, a part of Patiala, it is famous for its curing properties for any ailments that anyone may be suffering from. Visitors have faith in abluting in the holy water of the pond here, because of its healing qualities. Gurudwara Dukhnivaran Sahib's origin is tied to a villager named Bhag Ram from Lehal, who sought the blessings of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji to end a mysterious plague afflicting the area. In January 1672, the Guru visited Lehal, spending time by the village pond, preaching and meditating under a banyan tree. His presence and meditation led to the plague's eradication. Consequently, the site where Guru Ji meditated came to be known as Dukhnivaran, meaning "the end of all sufferings", and this name was given to the Gurudwara. Between 1748 and 1782, Raja Amar Singh of Patiala established a garden in honour of Guru Tegh Bahadur's special visit, entrusting its care to Nihang Sikhs. Court records from 1870 mention a garden belonging to the Guru and a well, used by the Nihangs. In 1920, plans to build a railway line threatened the banyan tree where Guru Tegh Bahadur had sat, but workers refused to cut it down. Consequently, Maharaja Bhupinder Singh cancelled the project. Although a Gurudwara had not yet been built, a committee was formed in 1930 to raise funds and begin construction. Twelve years later, in 1942, the building was completed under the supervision of Maharaja Yadavindra Singh, a devout Sikh. True to its name, Gurudwara Dukhnivaran Sahib is believed to alleviate grief for those who visit with a pure heart and offer sincere prayers.

Gurdwara Shri Dukh Nivaran Sahib is not just a religious site; it's an oasis of profound peace and spiritual solace. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere envelops you in a sense of calm and serenity. The architecture is stunningly beautiful, with the gleaming white marble and gold domes creating a majestic yet welcoming sight. The complex is incredibly well-maintained, with spotlessly clean premises and beautifully landscaped gardens that invite quiet contemplation. The highlight, as the name suggests ('Dukh Nivaran' meaning 'Eraser of Sorrows'), is the peaceful and uplifting energy of the main sanctum. Listening to the continuous recitation of Gurbani (Guru's hymns) is a heart-touching experience that feels truly liberating. The Langar (community kitchen) is run with immense dedication and selfless service (Seva). The food is simple, delicious, and served with so much love and warmth, embodying the core Sikh principle of equality and community. Whether you are seeking spiritual blessings, historical knowledge, or simply a quiet place to find inner peace, this Gurdwara is a must-visit. The volunteers and staff are helpful and humble. An absolutely unforgettable experience that stays with you long after you've left. Highly recommended for everyone.

Shri Kali Devi Mandir, a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Kali, was constructed by Sikh Maharaja Bhupinder Singh in 1936. It is a highly revered religious site that remains bustling throughout the day with devotees seeking blessings from Maa Kali and hoping for their wishes to be fulfilled. Situated in Patiala, this must-visit temple boasts of new infrastructure and a well-maintained parking area.
We visited the temple on a Sunday and believe me it was too crowded. We don't get to see the deity properly as the priests will literally push you away. Frankly speaking, cleanliness of the surroundings of the temple needs to be worked on...it was littered with garlands, wine bottles and Puja items. If these things are not allowed inside the temple..then it must be restricted.

Maa Kali Devi Temple in Patiala is one of the most revered temples dedicated to Goddess Kali, often considered second in significance only to the famous Kalighat Temple in Kolkata. The temple exudes a strong spiritual and peaceful atmosphere that many visitors immediately feel upon entering. It is not just a place of worship but also an important cultural and historical landmark of the Royal City Patiala. Saturdays usually attract large crowds of devotees, so those who prefer a calm and unhurried darshan may plan their visit on weekdays. The temple has long been known for its deep-rooted traditions, including stories of immense devotion where devotees make unique prayers and offerings out of divine faith. Overall, it is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to experience the spiritual heritage and living devotion that defines Patiala’s connection with Maa Kali. This expansive park features a jogging track, vibrant flower beds, and a serene pond, making it an ideal spot for morning or evening strolls. The garden is not only a haven for relaxation but also serves as a backdrop for various film shoots from Pollywood and Bollywood due to its picturesque scenery.
“LUNGS OF PATIALA” This monicker perfectly describes Baradari Garden in Patiala. Huge open green, peaceful place for morning and evening walks. Added attraction is the chirping of birds which has just about gone extinct in our concrete jungle of the city. Hugely popular for songs and film shoots of Pollywood and Bollywood. You can find innumerable species of flora in the vast space. As the name suggests this garden had 12 entrances. Parking available at many entrances. Rides and games available for children. Hugely popular in Sunday’s’ and holidays. Open air gym is also very popular with all age groups. But it needs regular maintenance. Some of the equipment are not in proper working order. Cafeteria and clean toilets available. Must visit place in the summers. There is a marked difference in atmospheric temperature as you enter this garden

As you stroll through the lush pathways, you are greeted by the delightful chirping of birds, a sound that has become increasingly rare in our modern concrete jungle. This garden serves as a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Baradari Garden is not only a haven for nature lovers but also a popular destination for filmmakers, frequently hosting songs and film shoots from both Pollywood and Bollywood. The garden is home to a diverse array of flora, showcasing countless species that thrive in its vast expanse. True to its name, the garden boasts twelve entrances, making it easily accessible from various points. Ample parking is available at many of these entrances, ensuring convenience for visitors. Families will find plenty of entertainment options, as the garden features rides and games that are particularly popular on Sundays and holidays, drawing crowds of children eager for fun. For fitness enthusiasts, the open-air gym is a major attraction, catering to individuals of all age groups. However, it is worth noting that the gym equipment requires regular maintenance, as some pieces are not in optimal working condition. Visitors can also enjoy the on-site cafeteria and clean restroom facilities, adding to the overall experience. A visit to Baradari Garden during the summer months is highly recommended, as you will notice a significant drop in temperature as you step into this lush sanctuary, making it a perfect retreat from the heat

Its a nice place to spend your whole day and trust me in the blink of an eye your whole day will pass.. its amazing the whole process from their warm welcome in morning(9:30 am )to bye bye in the evening (5:30) behavior of all staff remain professional ( someone must be guiding them or keeping an eye on them). you just have to take a cup of tea before leaving your house rest all food and drinks they provide and that too throughout the day, and the quality and taste of food are authentic. if you have good appetite you can recover your 1400 ticket fee through food alone. they have arranged water as well as washroom at every step so that after activities you dont have to go here and there. they provide lots of activities (both outdoor and indoor ) which are impossible to perform in one day, just like we missed all indoor activities like pool, archery etc. very good for people from 7 - 8 years to 40 - 45 years as i had taken my mother but she could just have food items there still she was feeling good to be there as she was watching her grand children enjoying the day. you must be in sports attire to fully enjoy the activities there so be in trousers and sports shoes same goes for female also. they also adding some new things which gonna be available from next year like MIRROR ROOM ESCAPE etc. i just want to request them to increase the evening time limit( beyond 5:30 pm) hope visit here agian to cover the rest of the games and enjoy the tasty food again. good parking space ( free) Note - Zipline is restricted to people having weight between 45kg to 90kg. we had some children below 45kg desired to get on zipline but unfortunately they did not allow( for safety reason) and we can understand that.

1. Approach road is very bad. Big potholes near the farm and near railway line. Cars can get stuck. Take only SUVs. Also pratapgarh farm management should get it fixed since it affects their guests and there is no other farm on this route. 2. No meals for your drivers. 3. Overall fun and activities are good. Very tiring so avoid taking older people unless you can make them rest somewhere. 4. Food is average. Variety is there but low in quality. Curd, chhach was very sour. Bhature oil wasn't good. Aloo sabji was so sour I got acidity. Nimbu paani tasted very artificial. No closing drinks or snacks. Halwa and gylabjamun were tasty. 5. Very hospitable staff on different activities. The pitloom and handloom and animal rides staff was very good. 6. Washroom cleaning needs to be frequent. Its average honestly. Some flushes don't work. Floor needs to be cleaned since soil is there. 7. They also sell handloom, ghee and more village products. 8. Hygiene issues are there. Cleaning of traditional attire clothes, pagdi must be done every night after tourists have used it to avoid spreading germs. 9. Good availablity and supply of cold drinking water near every zone. 10. Good variety of games. 11. Best was the gau shala. It was beautiful ti feed the cows, see the dairy and the temple. They also serve kheer. 12. All adventure sports are safe. Proper equipment. If they fix the approach road and ensure cleaner toilets, it'd be better.

A must-visit place for history and railway enthusiasts! The Rewari Heritage Steam Loco Shed is a hidden gem showcasing India’s rich steam locomotive legacy. The well-preserved steam engines, including the iconic Fairy Queen, offer a nostalgic experience. The museum provides insightful information, and the overall ambiance takes you back in time. The staff is friendly, and the place is well-maintained. It’s an excellent spot for photography and a fun learning experience for kids and adults alike. If you love trains or history, this place is worth a visit! Tip: Visit in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat, and don’t forget your

Timings 9 am to 4 pm. Tickets Rs 15 for kids and 30 for Adults. Not very updated and very unclean. There is a documentary which is good. No parking no clean washrooms. So come with that in mind. Toy train is not operational and it's outdated and dead. Better to visit New Delhi Rail museum as it's amazing for kids.

Weekend getaway for Delhities and Gurgaon folks. Adventurous and peaceful place. Good for hiking and zip lining. They offer 5 paths for zip line in their package. Guides are good, they will accompany you in full path (part of package)

Nice adventure. Must try . The staff is cooperative and humble. They instructed well about the process and were very supportive throughout the process. We tried the morning slot as it is less crowded and also saved from sun heat. Need to track to reach the starting point so we prepare for this also . The need to reach the location is another challenge as it is away from the highway. Overall nice experience
Vijay P — Google review
Hukum and Nischyal made the experience even more memorable. The weather was amazing so it made it whole lot better. But it can get really hot in june july. There are a total of 5 ziplines. Enjoy the spectacular views while ziplining

Flying fox Neemrana was a great experience. Coach/ instructors Mr Deepak and Mr ChandraVeer were most professional , patient , lively and accommodating. These boys deserve special note for their professionalism. Mr ChandraVeer regaled us with local stories of the zip area while Deepak helped less avid trekkers , pulling people stopping short of destination on the lines and laughing along with the group. Flying fox Neemrana deserves five out of five for safety, adventure , procedure , location and paisa wasul😊!!!
Raghu M — Google review
Great experience. Brilliant instructors (Madan and Suraj) Note: There's a 15-20min trek to the top. Nothing too intensive, but just to inform.
Abhinav C — Google review
Little costly but worth it, as it comes in combination with Fort entry... There are total 5 zips, though only 2 are longer but still 5 zips satisfy your gut.... Initially tracking to the mountain top feels like tiring, but it's worth taking ride...
Ankit P — Google review
Zip lining at Neemrana is a must do. Flying fox was awesome at it. The training, instructors, facilities (like harness, gloves and even water bottle) were all too good. The hike up till the zip line was a bit tiring, about 750m of climbing, but it was totally worth it. The views from each of the 5 zip lines were amazing. 2 tips: follow the instructions given by your guides regarding posture, or you'll find yourself pulling on the zip.. and, choose to zip when it's not too sunny as it becomes difficult to climb when it's too hot.
Janki M — Google review
Super relaxing activity. The experience is not adrenalinic, but it sure has very nice views. The staff is very kind and helpful. Nish and Hukum (apologies for spelling errors) were with us, making us feel safe, relaxed, and at home. I would do it again.

Bala Fort, also known as Alwar Fort, is an ancient stronghold with a masonry facade, 66 towers, and 6 large gates. It was constructed in 1550 on a hill by Hasan Khan Mewati. The fort stands over 300 meters above the ground and spans 5 kilometers from north to south and 1.6 kilometers from east to west.
We can reach Bala fort by our own car with an entry rate of 50/- and 10/- per person. The 7 km road to kila is awesome. Keep it 30 km fast on the road. No honking. No halting. No getting out of the car until you reach the fort. Beautiful fort and palace.
Ron Y — Google review
You can save your time and skin (from scorching heat), money, fuel if you skip this place. Someone suggested that it is more beautiful than the Alwar museum. Because of world heritage day, there were no tickets anywhere. However these people still charged for parking as well as per person cost. They strictly asked us to not carry single plastic items like Kurkure/coca cola etc as it's not allowed. When we visited the fort, they have not maintained it and chips packet were there on the stairs. Also, there is no shade in this fort. It's plain and no architecture. Simple white walls. The only good part was a temple which was good. Another good thing was the view from a corner of the fort. However, it is under construction and looking at the condition, the ceiling may fall any time.

Bala Quila or Alwar Fort is a stunning 15th-century fort nestled in the Aravalli Hills, offering breathtaking views of Alwar city. With its massive gates, Mughal-Rajput architecture, and peaceful surroundings, it’s a delight for history lovers and photographers alike. The fort itself is huge and filled with stories of Rajputana valor and Mughal influence. It is spread over a massive area of around 5 km, with six majestic gates and numerous watchtowers. The architecture reflects a blend of Rajputana strength and Mughal elegance, with beautifully carved arches, massive gateways, and strategic bastions. Walking through its ruins, you can almost imagine the tales of kings, battles, and royal life that once echoed within its walls. It's grand gates, watchtowers, and walls stand as a testament to its strategic importance in history. Though some parts are in ruins, it only adds to the feeling of stepping back in time. The fort also houses a museum with old guns, swords, and artifacts that reflect its royal past. One of the highlights is the peaceful atmosphere—you don’t find heavy crowds here like at other tourist spots, making it perfect for those who love exploring heritage in a quiet, relaxed way. If you are a history buff, nature lover, or simply someone who enjoys panoramic views, Bala Fort is a must-visit. What makes the visit truly special is the location. The drive up to the fort is through dense green forest, part of the Sariska Tiger Reserve region, making it scenic and adventurous. You could see wildlife in this area. This scenic drive through greenery adds to the charm. Once at the top, the view of Alwar city is breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset when the golden light spreads over the Aravalli. Tip: Carry water, wear comfortable shoes, and try visiting early in the morning or evening for the best experience. A true hidden gem of Rajasthan that deserves much more attention—if you are in or around Alwar, Bala Fort is a must-visit!
Pragya K — Google review
A small museum building with a large courtyard on the precipice, is the setting you can expect. Nothing is unusual or novel but the drive up the hill is pleasant with the sight of parts of the fort wall or some ruined structure here and there dotting along... Worth the trouble in the context of this small town with not much to see otherwise if you are on a long weekend.
K C — Google review
While the fort in itself is nice, some parts are not well-maintained, specially some ceilings and walls, and appear as if they'll disintegrate at any time. The problem, as in most places is the attitude of the ticketing staff and the security. Apparently there is a jeep safari and the cost is prohibitive for a single person. Many people do not visit, and I too was warned by well-wishers where I was staying that it would be better not to visit. However having gone all the way to Alwar, I felt that I might later regret missing this visit. There were hardly any visitors, & I was told to pay the full amount for a jeep if I was interested in going alone, or wait till more people came. I decided to wait for a while, but for at least half an hour no one turned up. Then two visitors in a private vehicle, were kind enough to accommodate me, so for ₹10 only I was fortunate enough to visit the fort and a couple of serene temples inside the complex. So unless you have your own private vehicle, visiting this place is a tedious and costly process, and requires careful planning. The fort & it's precincts are well-maintained, I didn't see any litter inside, though some do manage to sneak in some packages snacks and water bottles and throw them here and there.

While returning from Jaipur on 21st October 2025, we decided to take a detour and visit bala Quila in Alwar. It was a good distance of around 50 km from Mumbai expressway through rural area of Rajsthan. We reached at the entry gate at 3.30 pm and to our disappointment, there was a board on entry gate mentioning that approach road to the fort from entry gates was damaged somewhere (in between) so no one was allowed to visit the fort. A person standing there (looked like dalal) said that he was the ticket selling person. He said that you can't go to the fort and he offered us a Jungle safari for Rs.7400 which was a real scam type thing. Another person told us that road is damaged since last 8 months and there was no idea when it will be repaired and open for public. In sheer disappointment, we just visited moosi maharani ki chatri (5 minute drive from fort entry gate) and returned to Delhi. So anyone planning to visit Bala quila, do check first the latest update and then go there. Posting some picture of moosi maharni ki chatri.
ANIL M — Google review
Bala Quila, also known as Alwar Fort, is a massive hilltop fort overlooking the city of Alwar. The drive up the hill itself is scenic, surrounded by the Aravalli hills and greenery. Once you reach the fort, the views of the entire city and surrounding valley are absolutely breathtaking – definitely the highlight of the visit. The fort has a long history, and you can still see ancient gates, walls, and old palaces inside. However, much of the structure is in ruins and not properly maintained. Foreign visitors may find the site less polished compared to forts in Jaipur or Udaipur, but it feels raw and authentic, almost untouched. ⚠️ Practical Tips: Entry fee is minimal (₹50 / less than $1). Best to hire a local guide if you want the historical details, since there aren’t many boards with information. Carry water, wear comfortable shoes, and avoid visiting late evening as it gets deserted. You may need a permit from the Forest Office at the base (check before going).

Believed to have been built by Maharaja Vinay Singh for his queen, it was once used as a summer retreat by the royals. Nestled on the baks of the Siliserh Lake on the outskirts of Always, the palace offers scenic views over the lake sone some surrounding hills. Entry is ₹100 & one can exchange the ticket for a bottle of water and some insipid tea/coffee.

Siliserh Lake is a peaceful escape from the city. The lake is clean, surrounded by green hills, and perfect for photography or a quiet walk. You can see local fishermen and enjoy a calm boat ride. There are small food stalls near the entrance, but bringing your own snacks is also nice. Great for couples, families, and solo travelers who want a relaxing day in nature. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Alwar.

Beautiful place to see this place. We all enjoyed there. Small cafe is on the top of the building on Lake. Wifi is available in the cafe. You can use this as mobile internet connectivity is not there. Small bar also in this same building in bottom floor. Boating facilities are there with minimum charges. Nearby spot are there for quick visit.

Siliserh Lake is a peaceful and scenic spot with beautiful views. The ticket even includes a cold drink, which is a nice touch! The road to the viewpoint is in decent, manageable condition, but it’s best to avoid very sunny days as there’s limited shade. You can easily spend 1–2 hours here and even enjoy boating. A great option for a short day trip from NCR!

The resort truly exceeded expectations with its excellent food, breathtaking scenery, and warm hospitality. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared, offering both taste and variety. The scenic surroundings added a refreshing charm, making the stay even more memorable. The staff provided outstanding service—always attentive, courteous, and eager to help. Overall, it was a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and fine dining. Highly recommended for anyone seeking relaxation with top-class service.

⭐️⭐️ (2 stars only for the kind staff and good food) I’m giving 2 stars — and that too only because of the extremely generous and polite staff, and the surprisingly good food. Apart from that, the entire stay was a huge disappointment. The rooms were far from clean, full of insects, and felt completely neglected. The bathroom didn’t even have an exhaust fan, and there was no water in the tap — forget about using the shower. It was honestly shocking for a place that claims to be 4 stars property. Cleanliness and basic facilities were completely missing. Definitely not worth the money or the hassle. Wouldn’t recommend unless the management seriously upgrades the property and pays attention to hygiene and guest comfort.

We stayed at Sariska Tiger Camp Resort for our company’s offsite, and it was a wonderful experience. The property is peaceful and green, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful throughout. The team was also very accommodating with our requests and made sure everything ran smoothly. Would definitely recommend it for group outings or a weekend getaway!
Ayushi S — Google review
The reception staff at this hotel are pathetic, and the property manager is just as bad. From the moment I arrived with two friends, we felt judged by the staff before we even said a word. Despite booking through Cleartrip for a better rate, they changed the room from what was initially shown. Not a single order was delivered on time. The hotel’s infrastructure is terrible and completely fails at basic customer satisfaction. To make matters worse, when we returned from dinner, the main door was locked and the staff were asleep, leaving no security at the entrance. Poor management, especially the arrogant receptionist from Kerala and the rude manager, makes this place unfit for the hospitality industry.

There are 2 slots for the safari. One at 6:30 and another at 13:30. Gypsies can be only booked online. In-person booking only offers canter vans. It is recommended to book your slot one day prior (if online) or you can book on the same day (if offline). The safari is of a good 150 to 180 minutes and gypsies offer a better experience than canter vans.

It is lovely place to explore, don't expect much in terms of spotting a Tiger. As Sariska is a huge area and limited tigers are there. As per my recent trips only 12 tigers are there in the whole Sariska Reserve. But Jeep Safari is enjoyable and much fun. If you are planning to go there, better visit in Summer as Summer is the best time to spot the Tiger.

Bhangarh Fort

Mentioned on

Fortress
Sights & Landmarks
Bhangarh Fort is a historic complex with the remains of Hindu temples, royal palaces, and tombs. Located about 90 km from Jaipur, it is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India and the state government. Despite its reputation as one of India's most haunted places, visitors have found it to be a well-constructed and beautifully designed fort. The interior buildings are poorly maintained in some areas, but guides are available to explain the fort's history.
A must visit place while visiting Jaipur. Bhangarh Fort is an absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing place to visit! The fort is surrounded by hills on three sides, offering stunning open views and fresh, clean air all around. The area is very neat and well-maintained. On the way to the fort, there’s an old abandoned market about 300 meters long, the ancient ruins give a glimpse into history. The path is lined with huge old banyan trees whose vines touch the ground and form new roots, which looks magical. Inside and around the fort, there are several ancient temples, monkeys, and even peacocks roaming freely. The views from the fort are breathtaking, especially in the morning or late afternoon. Some inner chambers have a strong smell because of bats hanging from the ceilings, so it’s hard to go inside. Overall, Bhangarh Fort is peaceful, scenic, and full of history. Definitely worth visiting if you love heritage and nature.
GAURAV K — Google review
Bhangarh Fort is a fascinating historical site with incredible architecture and stories that take you back in time. The fort complex is vast, with ample parking available, and local Hindi-speaking guides at the entrance make the visit more engaging with their tales of history and folklore. The entry ticket for Indian guests is very reasonable at just ₹25. While the fort’s upkeep could be better—with limited maintenance, no clean washrooms, and monkeys freely roaming around—the charm of the ruins and the atmosphere more than make up for it. A must-visit for history and heritage lovers.
The L — Google review
★★Description★★ Bhangarh Fort, located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, is widely known as the "Most Haunted Place in India". Constructed in the 17th century by Raja Madho Singh, the fort once stood as a thriving town with palaces, temples, and a bustling marketplace, all showcasing a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture. However, its prosperity was short-lived, with its ruins now shrouded in chilling local legends, most famously involving a sorcerer's curse on the beautiful Princess Ratnavati and an ascetic, Guru Balu Nath, whose condition about the fort's shadow was violated. The Archaeological Survey of India has legally prohibited entry into the fort premises after sunset and before sunrise due to its infamous reputation. Despite the eerie atmosphere and desolate nature of the ruins, Bhangarh remains a significant historical site and a major attraction for thrill-seekers and paranormal enthusiasts. ★★★ After visit, I think this wonderful place is one of the best forts in Rajasthan in case of ambiance. ★ No haunted activity is there. All forts of Rajasthan are closed at 6:30 PM (Plus minus 30 minutes for sun light). Inside this fort few number of leopards are found after sunset ( Source local people and Shop owner). Entry fees 25 rupees for Indian.(Cash Payment) Online Payment 20 rupees. A must visit palce in Rajasthan.

The place is claimed to be haunted but during the day of course there are no spooky vibes. In fact it's like just another fort. ASI renovation and restoration is going on. The guides tell intresting stories and it is recommended to hire one. Be careful of what you pay them since there in always scope of bargaining. There is nothing which offers anything to eat or drink within the fort and hence carry your own water. There is natural aquifier system with a baori or a stepwell which is intresting. The fort in itself is not very large and can be covered in 1-2 hours. Views after climbing to the top roof are impressive and give you the layout of the market, approach, fort walls and the temples within the fort. Cleanliness is a big issue and within the fort there is too much litter which we the citizenry have created. Approach is ok ok as it's a state highway. Beautiful views of the arravalis

Firstly, visit the place before sunset or reach not later than 4 in the evening because the guard will suggest doing it quickly. By the time I reached there, it was closed (5 o'clock in the evening), so I just conversed with the guards; they were very friendly, and there was a Hanuman temple at the entrance. The whole vibe was different. I was very excited to be there, and my sister was feeling low at the same time.

🏰 Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan – A Perfect Blend of History, Mystery & Natural Beauty 🙇‍♂️✨ I visited Bhangarh Fort on 27th June 2025, and my first reaction was — “Wow!” 🤩 This fascinating place truly feels like stepping into a living legend, where ancient stories whisper through every wall and corridor 📜💫. The fort’s majestic architecture, mysterious aura, and stunning natural surroundings gave me absolute goosebumps 🥶🛕. The path leading to the fort is beautifully lined with old banyan trees 🌳, their hanging vines creating an enchanting, almost magical atmosphere. Inside the fort, you’ll discover centuries-old temples, playful monkeys, and elegant peacocks moving freely 🐒🦚. The view from the top is breathtaking — especially during sunrise or sunset 🌄😍. Some inner chambers have a distinct smell and are home to bats 🦇, adding to the fort’s eerie and mysterious vibe 👻. No wonder it’s often called “the most haunted place in India” — every corner tells a silent tale from the past ⏳💀. Surrounded by the majestic Aravalli Hills ⛰️🌿, Bhangarh Fort offers a perfect mix of peace and thrill — ideal for history lovers, photographers, and adventure seekers 🔮📸✨. ⭐ Overall: A mesmerizing fusion of history, nature, and mystery — truly a must-visit destination for anyone craving an unforgettable experience in Rajasthan 🔥🔥🌟🙌🏻

"I recently visited Bhangarh Fort and was thoroughly impressed by its rich history and stunning architecture. The fort's unique blend of Hindu and Islamic styles is a testament to the region's cultural heritage. The panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from the royal palace are breathtaking. While the fort's haunted reputation adds an element of excitement, I didn't experience anything paranormal during my visit. The guides were knowledgeable and shared interesting stories about the fort's history and legends. The fort is well-maintained, and the temples and palaces are still intact. I recommend visiting during the winter months (November to February) for the best experience. Be prepared for a moderate hike and wear comfortable shoes. Overall, Bhangarh Fort is a must-visit destination for history buffs, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a unique experience. I'm glad I had the opportunity to explore this incredible piece of India's past."

It was good to visit over there and diving into the history of Bhangarh fort. While going to the top there was a small area which was stinging too much due to the presence of bats. Good to go during October - April. Nature beauty is there and pics also come ausmn. If it is raining then do go in rubber slippers because you will confront the water coming from the nearby water falls.
