Even on a cold and windy day the gorge was impressive. Leaves were swirling and if felt like the wind would push us back at times but we continued on along the edge of the gorge. Perhaps because of the weather and the last time of day there were few other visitors, which was nice as it offered the opportunity for photos without strangers in view. The moves in and out of the tunnels made the walk a little more interesting, and the placards designed for the children were also a good distraction for them. We opted for the train return due to the late hour, which was an interesting experience in itself. The station hardly seemed like a place to wait for a train. Staff at both ends were very nice and helpful. While other reviewers say this isn't as impressive as other gorges around the Alps, I disagree, I very much enjoyed the 45 minute walk and would recommend it to friends. We did not really spend much time checking out the shops, restaurant, or at the playground, but they are there for additional services. Free parking was also available at both ends but the the west entrance had significantly more space. Side note: You can buy a combo ticket on the Zentral Bahn trains while on the way to the entrance to cover the train and the gorge. The ticket we bought at the gorge also covered our return on the train.

This was such an awesome place to visit when in Hasli Valley in Bernese Oberland. It truly is a natural wonder, and no picture will really show the true beauty you will see in person. What's great about the Aares Gorge is that it can be visited rain or shine. You'll get a different perspective depending on the weather. Give yourself plenty of time here. It's about a mile walk (45-60 minutes) along the limestone gorge and through the tunnels. It's truly a unique experience that deserves a special trip. I've never seen anything quite like it. It really shows you the torrential power of glaciel water as it carves its way over time through the valley. There are 2 entrances with parking lots. We started at the west entrance and exited at the east side. There was so much to see in between (including a waterfall). There is also a view of cave entrances from the pathway that were built to house the military during WWII. Fortunately, they never had to use it. There are interesting facts displayed along the way. It's pretty much an easy walk until you get to the east side. There is more of an incline on your way up as well as some steps up the hill. Just plan your entrance accordingly if you have limited mobility. It worked out very well for us. We were rewarded with a beautiful view of the Alps when exiting at the east side. Our guide met us in the parking lot. You can return by train to your initial starting point as well. We loved this experience so much!! There's so much to do here in the Canton of Bern. Make it a part of your trip when in Switzerland.

Visited on a day with lighter rain after several days of heavy downpours. The rushing rapids were astonishing to see though boardwalk could feel slippery at times. A beautiful landscape filled with natural wonders. A must see.

Definetly worth a visit if you are in the area, a pleasant walk at a cool place. The entrance fee I would say is quite cheap compared to other places in the Junfrau region. It also includes the train ride back which was convenient. You do need to press the stop button on the train if you want to get of at the Aareschlucht station.

A natural wonder. Walking through the narrow gorge with the turquoise river rushing below is thrilling and refreshing. Easy access and well-maintained paths make it perfect for all ages.

Saw very good review about this place decided to give it a try. The playground is nice. CAROUSELL is simple but age 130 years old something different. The house that showcase how 200 years ago people living here is quite interesting, but wish there are more English explanation so that we know what we seeing. Many houses we visit is close or no one around at all. If need to pay for ticket I think is not quite worth it. We got cover by Swiss travel pass. The train ride inside is almost non existence because only a few ride a day at selected timing and you can tour around if you want to take train. End up we walk alot and some are not easy path. We were lost half way as this place is huge and limited sign. The map and sign some need sometime to figure out.

it's an amazing journey through time and hand-crafts! there are hundreds of structures guiding you through the places and timea of older switzerland with live demonstration for pottery, rope making, milling and many more! the crafts are well explained and kids & adults are equally in awe! many nifty playgrounds and infrastructure make the experience well rounded. the horse carriage schedule and high prices could be made more pleasant. also more simple info for how such houses were build would be cool.

Absolutely loved every moment of my visit! I had the honor of meeting a leather craftsman who was so kind as to make me a keyring. I chose a Longhorn design, perfect for a Texan. I also met the soup and coffee makers who used original equipment to create delicious, timeless food and drinks. It was truly amazing to watch. As I walked around the open-air museum, I was fascinated by how each house was unique in its own way. There was also a restaurant and a shack selling food and drinks. I could have easily spent the entire day there but unfortunately I had to catch a train and it's time to leave. Highly recommended.

You can spend the best 6 hours here. I am so impressed how well it is done and how big this is. I will come every season. It is definitely worth traveling 5 hours just for this❤️

So much to do and such great value for money. I recommend arriving early to get full value from your visit as you’ll need several hours to explore the various areas of Switzerland that are represented. A beautiful place, friendly staff and an essential stop for a summertime holiday in the Bernese Oberland.

One of the best places in Switzerland to visit with kids. The museum route is charming and very interesting, and the land is huge! We all learned a lot on our visit. Don't hurry, it’s impossible to see it all. One more reason to come back again…

The crisp mountain air, the mirror-calm lake, and the gentle sound of water lapping against the quay created the perfect backdrop for a peaceful stroll. Treated to postcard perfect views, a serene water, flower lined pathways, and the gentle rhythm of swans gliding across the lake. It is a must visit. PS: Whether you’re sipping a coffee as dawn breaks or enjoying the rose-gold glow of sunset on snowy peaks, every moment here feels like a postcard comes to life. If you’re after pure Alpine beauty and true relaxation, this spot i.e the Lake Brienz is not to be missed. Highly recommended for visiting when in Swiss.

We visited on a bit of an overcast day but the skies cleared and offered spectacular views of Interlaken. We purchased the special ticket offering return trip on the Harder Klum Funicular and a set lunch menu at the Panorama restaurant at the top. Great value. The trip is also wheelchair accessible however you need to locate the back entrance which is further up the road from the main boarding area, on the first side entrance on the left. Well worth the visit.

Absolutely amazing! The funicular is super fun and the views at the top are insane — mountains, lakes, everything. The viewing platform is a must, and the restaurant has great vibes too. Perfect spot for sunset. Don’t miss it if you’re in Interlaken 👍

The views from the top are absolutely breathtaking — definitely one of the best panoramas in Switzerland. The ride up was smooth and easy, and once you get there, the viewing platform makes it feel like you’re floating above Interlaken. We loved taking our time at the top just soaking in the mountains, the lakes, and the fresh air. Such a peaceful and memorable place. Totally worth the trip — highly recommended!

We recently visited Harder Kulm, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Located above the beautiful town of Interlaken, this panoramic viewpoint offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, lakes, and the iconic Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks. The journey to the top is an adventure in itself taking a funicular ride from Interlaken up to the summit ( there happens to be a pretty steep hike as well that can take you up there) was smooth, comfortable, and gave us our first taste of the stunning alpine scenery. Once at the top, we were greeted with a 360-degree vista that truly took our breath away. The observation platform is perfect for photos, and we spent quite a while just soaking in the views. We also had a chance to explore the area a little more, with well-maintained paths leading to even more scenic spots around the summit. One of the highlights was the viewing platform's ( also referred to as the two lakes bridge as you get to see the Thun and Brienz lakes) glass floor.Stepping out onto it felt like flying over the town of Interlaken, and it was a thrilling experience. For those who are a bit more adventurous, there also are a couple of hikes around ( one’s simple the other being a challenging strenuous hike) where you can feel completely surrounded by nature and mountains. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the warm atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing day out or an adventure in the mountains, Harder Kulm delivers both in spades. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area and it's definitely worth the visit!

Fun steep ride up to the view point. Unfortunately the weather fogged up and stares to rain. We took some quick pictures and headed back to beat the crowds on the return trip. This was included in our travel pass so we figured we'd check it out no matter the weather.

After a short funicular ride, the view from top of Harder Kulm was fantastic, even on a semi-cloudy day. I really enjoyed the visit.

Visiting Schilthorn Piz Gloria was absolutely one of the highlights of my trip. The cable car ride itself was an incredible experience, smooth, comfortable, and offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Swiss Alps. As we ascended, the scenery just kept getting more and more spectacular. At the top, the weather was perfect, which made the whole experience even more magical. The 360° views from Piz Gloria are truly stunning with snow-capped peaks, valleys, and endless mountain ranges that leave you speechless. The Bond-themed touches add a fun and unique twist to the visit, but the natural beauty alone is worth every penny. It’s not just a sightseeing trip, it’s an unforgettable adventure. Between the views, the atmosphere, and the overall experience, I can confidently say this was worth every moment and every cent. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Switzerland!

Somewhat pricey to take the gondola up to the top, but it's well worth it for the views. There is a bunch of James Bond history and plaquards. But the views alone are breathtaking. You should fefinitely wait for a clear day, othe you'll just be looking at the fog.

Break taking views! Certain areas were under construction, but it did not take away from our experience. Be sure to walk out to the point and enjoy time in one of the viewing boxes.

Was the filming location of a 007 movie. Granted it is not as high as Jungrafraujoch, but the views are equally fantastic. Highly recommended to make a trip here. There is a rotating restaurant at the tower area also as well that serves very decent buffet lunch.

Great experience. The cable car on the first stretch is supposedly the steepest in the world. Remembered to include the 9 Euro cheese / cold cut option, which is served at the revolving Piz Gloria restaurant. It comes with a drink and there was plenty of food to fill us up. And it tasted good, too. So pretty much a no-brainer. The view from the top was great. Unfortunately clouds descended while we were there and it even started to hail. Which kind of added to the whole experience. Some cool James Bond stuff - check out the bathroom mirrors! Unfortunately quite a lot of construction going on, which detracted from the whole experience. Will still give it 5 stars, but probably more like 4.5 due to construction, high cost and a very unpleasant guy in the ticket booth. Everything else was perfect and definitely an experience. Now back in the US and planning on watching On Her Majesty’s Secret Service tonight 😊

My less-than-ideal rating was solely due to the unfortunate timing of my visit. Otherwise, I would have missed the opportunity to go altogether. It was a heavily overcast day, because of that, I skipped exploring Birg and went straight up to Schilthorn instead. On top of the poor weather, Schilthorn was still under construction. After a quick browse through the gift shop, a short walk around the outdoor deck, and a light snack at the restaurant, it was already time to head back down. I’d have to return someday to truly experience the full beauty of this attraction. Hopefully on a clear day and once the construction is finally complete.

The views are priceless and it's definitely worth it to go! However, be warned that getting around through the construction is extremely difficult. It look 20 minutes to figure out how to go down to the Walk of Fame and the View Lounges. That, for me, was the best part. It's away from the hordes of people fighting to get the best selfie and closer to nature. You can see forever! The best time to go is usually between 15:00-18:00 in the summer (weather permitting) because the clouds tend to lift around that time.

Lake Thun is absolutely stunning! The serene waters and beautiful surrounding hills create a perfect atmosphere for families. Our children loved exploring the lakeside, watching the ducks, and simply enjoying the fresh air. Plenty of space to walk, relax, and soak in the views. A truly memorable spot that’s perfect for a family outing!

The water has a mesmerizing turquoise color, and every spot looks like it belongs on a postcard. Whether you’re sailing, strolling along the shore, or simply sitting down to take in the view, this lake offers peace and beauty in its purest form.

Lake Thun has absolutely amazing scenery. We spent almost an entire day there and still couldn't get enough. Starting in the morning, we enjoyed the view from St. Beatus Cave, getting a panoramic picture of the lake from above. Then we continued our adventure by ship, circling the lake and savoring every corner. The lake has very clear water, with beautiful typical farmhouses and the Swiss Alps in the background, adding to the picturesque setting. Every corner of the lake was stunning, perfect for healing and taking a break from your busy life.

The morning view of Lake Thun from Beatenberg is simply breathtaking and worth waking up early for.

Truly magical experience and views! One of my favourite places- strongly recommend to visit early in the morning (before the crowds). Most people stay at the lake itself but the beautiful views are high above- go for the Panoramic hike trail (it’s marked as hard but we had no issues even tho we’re not an active hikers-note that’s it is not suitable for kids,strollers or small dogs as the path in some places are quite narrow and steep ). The trail is circle one- you start with some climbing and at the end you go down to the lake and back to the main point with the restaurant (this way you’ll see everything - it’s great to do your lunch at one of the spots above the lake)

Fantastic day spent at the lake! Most beautiful landscape I have been to ever. Renting a boat was a special experience- an absolute must. You need to have cash if you want to visit a small cafe (or their WC) on the top.

Beautiful and rewarding hike! We decided to hike up to the lake and truly enjoyed it (hiking shoes are highly recommened). The trail is very pleasant, not too difficult – it took me about 90 minutes to reach the top. The entire way, we were accompanied by breathtaking views of the valley and surrounding mountains and waterfalls. And then the lake… simply magical – a soft blue color framed by mountains that look like a painting. There are benches all around the lake, so you can sit, relax, and soak in the stunning scenery. The walk down was much easier and took us only 50 minutes. Highly recommended!

Though climb, but do-able for those who are affraid of hights. Walked from Kandersteg towards the see (lake) and back. Great restaurant near the lake with great goulash. Tip: Walk to the viewpoint 500 mtrs from the restaurant to have a great view on 30% more snow.

We loved visiting this lake — the view is absolutely superb, one of the most beautiful landscapes in Switzerland. There is a bit of walking involved at both parts of the journey: first, a short walk from Kandersteg to reach the cable car station, and then another easy hike at the top from the cable car to get to the lake itself. But the whole route is very scenic and very doable. Tickets for the cable car were super easy to purchase and everything was well-marked and convenient. Once you arrive at the lake, the turquoise water surrounded by dramatic mountains is just breathtaking. We took tons of photos and just enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Truly worth the effort — highly recommended!

SO easy to get to the lake, if you're someone that can't or doesn't want to walk too much but still wants to see a very beautiful spot in Switzerland.. I think this location is perfect for you. They even provide a mini bus that goes up and down to the lake!

(Late August) It's about a 20min walk from the train to the lift. At one point during the walk you have a beautiful view of the mountians while on large green grass field. The ride up the gondola is about 10mins. During peak time get to the gondola early. There's a nice simple food place when you first get up where you have amazing views of the mountians. Then it's a 20min all down hill walk to the gorgeous lake. There are a few different food options. Despite it being crowded there was enough room to have a spot to sit on the grass. Instead of walking back to the gondola, which would've taken us atleast 45mins since its all uphill, we decided to walk all the way down. It took us about 50mins to walk down and then 15 more mins of flat walking to get back to the train. There is also a free shuttle available that will take you from the gondolas down to the lake and back.

We were in the area on vacation and decided to take a train down to Thun and look around. The castle is very prominent on the skyline and looks quite interesting. We walked though the building and looked at the various displays which were well done. Centuries of history briefly summarized. The building itself is the main attraction. We went all the way to the top into the corner towers. The roof structure was amazing. Definitely recommend!

Castle Thun is a must-see when visiting the town! The displays and information are well-curated, making it easy to explore everything in just 2–3 hours. There are also interactive sections, like the wooden architecture exhibit in the attic and rooftop area, and the fascinating collection of ancient armors and weapons. The castle is well-maintained, easy to navigate, and offers a great balance of history and experience.

Worth the trip. The castle is stunning and you can see artefacts of the Old Swiss Confederacy, such as halberds, tapestries and armors. The Knight's room and the room under the roof where particularly stunning. On top of that, 4 towers flanking the roof are accessible and give you wonderful views of the city

The basic castle tour was interesting, but I was disappointed to find that there were virtually no period furnishings in any of the rooms. The audio tour aid added tremendously to the understanding of the castle history. Look closely, though, to find the signs which indicate when to use the audio aid. I recommend paying the extra fee to use it. I enjoyed the views from the tower. I paid extra for the special exhibit, which I didn't feel was worth the fee; skip it unless you are interested in forms of medieval punishment.

Definitely do the audio tour if you come here! Beautiful castle with a lot of history and amazing views from the top! No need to book tickets in advance

Thun castle does not match the vibe of other castles of Switzerland like Gruyère castle and Chillion castle. The castle is poor in terms of content and exhibits. Not much to explore inside. The staff is very friendly and there are free locker rooms available to keep your luggage. The best part was the top level of Thun castle from where you get 4 different panoramic views of Thun city and Lake Thun. If you are visiting Thun city then definitely visit this place otherwise skip it. Entry to Thun castle is free with Swiss Travel Pass.

Very nice park at the top of Bern city, offering a place to rest and fantastic view. The restaurant is ideal to take a break from a walking tour, having all the city in "the plate". Very nice place for panoramic photos of the city and the river. A must visit

We were not able to have a table by the side, with the amazing view as we had not made a reservation. We came here on a whim. We were given 2 other seating options, 1 which we were warned we would be hit by the sun soon and the other on the other side near the kids playground on the high chair stools and table. The waitress who served us was super busy, there was a large party of 10 or so and lots of other small tables she was serving. She did her best to keep everyone happy. There was a bit of a wait time to order. Once the food came, it tasted good. However due to being summer, wasps started to appear and take over. The toilets are inside, downstairs, they were clean. Upon exiting the building we saw a huge amount of salad plates ready to go just sat on the side. Overall, it was good.

Nice restaurant with a beautiful view of the city. In a hot summer day you will not be able to dine inside because it’s extremely hot and there isn’t AC. We dined at the patio and unfortunately were invaded by dozens of flies as soon as our food was received. We prompted to move everything inside. Service is mediocre.

I loved it. They place is very nice and clean, with outstanding views. Service is great and fast. I took the chicken sandwich for a quick lunch and it was very good.

If you choose to come from the down town of Bern; be prepared to pull enough energy to walk up thru the hill, which is a nice little warm up and workout before arriving to the restaurant. Also, it’ll be great to spot coupe or bears from the bridge while heading to the restaurant.

An amazing experience and a chance to see some brown bears in real life. Great for kids but also adults who miss their childhood. Right next to the river, the park is both scenic and entertaining.

I recently visited the Bear Park in Bern and it was such a delightful experience! Nestled along the scenic banks of the Aare River, the park offers a peaceful and natural environment where bears roam freely in spacious enclosures that mimic their natural habitat. The bears looked healthy and well cared for, and it was heartwarming to see them play, rest, and interact with their surroundings. The park is free to enter, which makes it a wonderful stop for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing moment in the city. It’s also just a short walk from the old town, so it’s easy to include in a day of sightseeing. Overall, Bear Park is a beautiful blend of nature, education, and conservation. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bern!

It’s quite astonishing to see a bear park right in the middle of the city — a truly unique setting. The enclosure is spacious, well-designed, and blends beautifully with the natural surroundings along the river. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into making it as comfortable as possible for the bears. Still, it’s a reminder that the animals are in captivity, which can feel a bit bittersweet despite the excellent care they receive.

The views are quite beautiful, and the bears are adorable, but I feel terrible they don't have more space to roam around in. They did build a little section in the river so when it is hot, the bears can at least cool down and fish :)

Love that they have a bear refuge near the city. They have so much room to roam. I would suggest adding more signs not to feed the bears or be fined. I saw some stupid kid form a different country throw something down in the bear area and the parents didn’t do anything.

Fantastic river walk along the Aare ends up at Bear Park. Complete with Bears! Stop off to spend some CHF for beers and food up top for great views.

Marvelous architecture. You can just sit inside for hours. The tower is a bit of hard climb but it is beyond worth it. The view from the top is amazing. You can see the entire city and the river. Really love it, highly recommended.

The Cathedral of Bern is truly a stunning landmark with impressive architecture and a commanding presence in the city. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance to go inside or climb the tower due to the opening hours — we arrived in the evening and left the next morning. It was a bit disappointing and sad, as we would have loved to explore it fully. Even from the outside, the cathedral is beautiful and worth visiting. A must-see for anyone in Bern, and definitely a reason to plan a longer visit next time!

Visited the Bern Cathedral and the climb to the top is definitely worth it. The view from up there is crazy, you can see the whole city, the river, everything. It’s one of those spots where you just stop and take it all in. At the top, there was this older gentleman working there who was honestly one of the highlights. He was super friendly and took the time to explain what we were looking at, the history, the mountains in the distance, and some really interesting details we wouldn’t have noticed on our own. Just a really good, genuine conversation. Made the experience feel personal. The cathedral itself is beautiful and detailed, but that view and the kindness up top really made it memorable.

The main portal of Bern Minster is one of the most complete collections of Late Gothic sculpture. The tympanum depicts the Last Judgment, carved entirely by Erhard Küng, which gives the ensemble a remarkable unity of design. The wicked are shown naked on the right and the righteous clothed in white on the left, while in the center Archangel Michael holds a raised sword, overseeing the fate of souls. Flanking the doors, the left side depicts the five Foolish Virgins, the right side the Wise Virgins. The Dance of Death (Danse Macabre) stained glass window in Bern Minster was created in 1519 and depicts skeletons leading people from all walks of life—kings, clergy, peasants, and children—toward death, emphasizing the inevitability and universality of mortality. Bern Minster (Berner Münster), begun in 1421 and completed with its 100-metre tower in 1893, is the tallest church in Switzerland and a landmark of late Gothic architecture. It became Protestant in 1528 during the Reformation. The church has a three-aisled basilica plan with slender columns, high rib-vaulted ceilings, and flying buttresses supporting the nave, exemplifying the vertical emphasis and detailed craftsmanship typical of the late Gothic.

The church provided vital history about city and people. Always fascinating to see evolution of architecture over the centuries. Amazing how items like seating areas have been preserved since the late 1400’s.

Get the chance to go all the way up to see the city of Bern with a panoramic view. It costs 6chf to go up, but you will enjoy it. Just make sure to be a bit fit as it is a lot of stairs. The last entrance is at 16h30.

In my opinion, Bern's old town is one of the most beautiful and compact in the world. Its specialty is the arcades formed by the old buildings lining the streets. The arcades are lined with shops, restaurants, bars, art galleries, etc. It is worth walking around the old town, also along the banks of the Aare River, and climbing to the Rosengarten to admire the magnificent view of the old town. Every time I visit Bern I feel amazed.

You are unwinding the clock back 500 years ago to experience the lifestyle in medieval time. The old street (made of sandstones), clock tower, cathedral surrounded by garden and river are breathtaking.

Beautiful and quaint little old town in the capital of Switzerland! I got there early so the streets were rather empty and it was nice taking a slow stroll down this street. The street was lined with familiar brands/shops, the trams ran down both sides and I almost felt like I was transported back to medieval times - except the modern shops bring me back to the present. If you walk further down, you’ll end up at the Bear Pit, another little tourist attraction of Bern.

Old Town Bern is picturesque both in the day and night. Can take Bus 12 from main square to Bear Park and return. If you stay in hotel, can get activation code for free bus ride in Bernapp. Else, can park at Casino car park but it's expensive.

I arrived a few minutes before the hour and was amazed by the mechanical figures and the precise chime—it feels like stepping back in time. The surrounding Old Town streets are charming, full of cafés and little shops, making it a perfect spot to explore after watching the show. Whether you love history, architecture, or just a great photo opportunity, the Zytglogge is a must-see in Bern.

Walking through Bern’s Old Town, I stumbled upon Bim Zytglogge and was instantly charmed. The area around the clock tower feels like a slice of history—cobblestone streets, medieval buildings, and the hourly show of mechanical figures on the astronomical clock. It’s a lively spot, with locals and tourists mingling, and plenty of cafés and shops nearby.

Such a nice Watch tower. Very interesting and of course, full of historical events to tell from it and its city, Bern. Really a great stop-by spot, a must when you'd like to see the spectacle of the watch with its figures moving at 6pm.

Its a big old clock. There is some entertaining bits on the west side every hour but dont expect anything dramatic like a giant cuckoo clock. Pretty cool though for an 800 year old piece of work.

Zytglogge (Clock Tower) was built in 1220 as part of Bern’s western gate, becoming a civic clock tower after the city expanded. The astronomical clock was added in 1530 with moving figures such as bears, a jester, and Chronos, which perform each hour.

Do not visit this place unless you want to experience abuse. This establishment should be closed down for inspection as soon as possible. The staff at the swimming pool are neither trained nor qualified. They became irritated because my 8-year-old son was calling for me loudly, and in response, the staff spoke even louder, ensuring that everyone in the pool could hear them. This incident occurred just 40 minutes after we arrived. I couldn't understand French, but I apologized and explained that I did not speak the language and that my son couldn’t understand them either. The staff member completely ignored my attempts to communicate and forcibly removed my son from the swimming pool, placing him on a cold chair. My son said, "I'm sorry, I'm cold," but the man ignored him. He said that my son had to stay there for five minutes to "learn." When I asked, "Learn what?" he continued to ignore us. I was shocked; minutes later, my son began to shiver. I took a towel and went to the "grounded area," placing the towel on him, but he was still shivering. The man passed him the five minutes,finally released my son. At this point, I was in tears, watching my son cold and crying. We left the place immediately after that. When I went to the reception, the front desk staff apologized and offered my son and me two free “adult entries” after I explained everything and mentioned that we were flying back the next day.

Nice, clean easy access and friendly. Make sure you pass by the tourist office and check if your rental accommodation includes the two hours free at the wellness centre.

Nice place to relax after a day of skiing. There is a place for everybody also a small pool for babies. For grown ups, you can enjoy the sauna, Turkish bath and the jacuzzi, and have a nice massage. You can book your massage on the internet very convenient.

Overpriced public swimming pool. Paid 17 bucks for one pool which wasn’t even warm- had to lay in the snow to enjoy the water. We paid for two hours, got kicked out 20 minutes early and they turned off the light while showering.

Nice setting and location. Good standard. Felt less comfortable seeing 3 women ejected from the swimming area because they were wearing swimsuits (swimsuit lycra material) that allowed them to be more modest - so it covered their arms and legs. This was not some regular clothing or something problematic from a hygiene or some other standard. It was unpleasant to see them targeted like this & not at all fair.

Great, quiet outdoor and indoor pool facilities. The place is fairly small so ideal for relaxing and light swimming. The spa and well-being centre offer Sauna, Hammam, Samarium experiences as well as a jacuzzi and good shower facilities (all of which overlook the beautiful mountain view). View- 5/5 incredible mountain scenery surrounds you. Facilities- 3/5 good, but fairly small and limited space if you wanted to train seriously.

Poor facilities, Rude Staff. I wanted to go to the loo after changing from swim, no where to go with out taking shoes and socks off again and going back pool side. I was told I was “ridiculous” for not wanting to take my shoes off again and stand bare foot in either people’s piss after changing. One staff member gave me bag over shoes so I could go in, only for the other staff member to stand in my way and block me going to the loo before eventually letting me through. Pathetic all around. Rude staff and inadequate facilities.

Worth to see. In fact, as I could observe this funicular is not spectacular. It's just small and short ride really, but it's a must do in Fribourg. A bit of the history of the city as it connects the old town with the new. I also in another day climbed the stairs next to it, which is not that exhausting.The funicular itself is made of wood and is quite old, which makes it special for me. ****

Great tour with ear phones you point to displays and learn more. I spoke to a chocolate decorator who has been there 25 yrs and he loves working there. Learn how to evaluate chocolate quality and taste and then get to sample many varieties of their chocolates. Superb place!

Absolutely worth a visit! Maison Cailler is an amazing experience from start to finish. There’s plenty of parking space, which makes visiting super convenient. Inside, you get to enjoy lots of free tastings of their delicious, high-quality chocolates every bite is a treat! My family enjoyed it so much The museum is beautifully done, fun, and educational great for both adults and kids. Outside, there’s a lovely park where children can play and enjoy the fresh air while you take in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. A perfect spot for families, chocolate lovers, and anyone visiting Switzerland. Highly recommended!

We went on their tour, and it was an good experience! They had a ton of free samples and some really cool education and history. I wouldn’t drive there for 3 hours, but if you’re in the area, it’s definitely a nice stop.

Cailler museum was a pure delight. There was a separate production line just for samples. Loved every bit of the museum from the history of chocolates to modern day chocolate making in Switzerland. Of course the free samples and the discounted chocolates in the gift store were icing on the top!

The Cailler chocolate factory is a very interesting place to visit, with a well-designed tour that shows the history and production process. The experience is enjoyable and the chocolate tasting is definitely a highlight. It is a bit expensive, but still worth it for the quality of the visit. The shop at the end is excellent, offering a wide selection of high-quality chocolates and gifts

Arriving was a little intimidating. We went at a 4:00 on a Sunday, and the line waiting to enter the tour was already out the door. The way they have their store set up is very aesthetically pleasing. A whole wall full of chocolate bars! The tour its self was very entertaining. You are lead through different rooms where they tell you the story of their factory, with each room heavily decorated to tell you part of the story, going perfectly along with the audio tour. They had a chocolate machine making little chocolates right in front of you, which, after being wrapped, were then placed in a bowl specifically for you to eat! They had multiple testing stations after that, which I loved. It was all around worth every penny.

Fantastic Medieval Castle For me this is one of the most fabulous castles in Switzerland with Chateau de Chillon or Vaduz (actually in Liechstenstein). The reason I really like it is the fact it is so well preserved you almost feel like you could be in the 13th century. The wood is still there which is quite unique. The whole feel is very grand. Bonus is that once you are here you can eat a great fondue in one of the local restaurants. Super worth it and recommended.

Enjoyed the visit to the castle very much, I happened to visit during medieval festival which was wonderful. Spent a couple of hours there. Lovely gardens as well. A great day's outing. I recommend going early morning to avoid crowds.

A nice small castle in Gruyère. You will learn how it changes over time as it was owned by a local count to the a rich artist family and lastly as a museum. The castle is interesting since it has also been used as a personal residence of artist family so there are a few rooms that looks like 19th century European home. You can also see beautiful scenery of surrounding village from the castle and also takes picture of beautiful garden. Two negative things that can be improved are: 1) There is a large signboard in the courtyard for ad. 2) There are some modern art installations that feel out of place within the castle (not dedicated space). Both break the immersion. Recommended to visit. 👍 Tips: You can buy join ticket with Maison du Gruyère or Giger Museum or Tibetan Museum.

This is a beautiful small town nestled in the swiss Alps. There are lots of shops and 3 cool museums to visit as well as a castle. The food was great but like in all the other reviews it's expensive. So if you want to eat cheep stop at the grocery store or McDonald's before heading up to the town.

Although we did not go inside, we enjoyed very much walking through the lovely town of Gruyeres all the way up to the castle and admired the beautiful view.

Although growing up in Switzerland, I had never visited Château de Gruyères before and hadn't even been aware of its existence. But I came across it online when planning my most recent visit to the country, and I'm glad I did, because it's an absolute gem and shouldn't be missed by anyone in the area! Unlike many other castles, it's well furnished, so lots of things to look at inside. Especially the tapestries I found sensational. There are also extensive exhibits that tell the story of Swiss tourism, which I found fascinating. Wondering around the castle was a real eye-opener, feeling like a true step back in time, interesting and educational. One thing to slightly criticise: The official Website is very slow, which can be a bit frustrating. Just wondering whether it's running on a slow server, which might benefit from an upgrade. I noticed this when planning the trip and just checked again now, encountering the same problem.

You can combo the castle ticket with the gruyere factory down below. Nice castle with perfect views up and down the valley. Three levels are open with a descent amount of artifacts. The fireplaces are something to pay attention to.

The museum was laid out very well, great selection of art, and friendly staff. It's not my style of art, however, the impact he had on modern movies is quite impressive. My perception is he was pursued by his own inner demons to create the style of art. (I do recommend the bar next door😉) As a side note, he supported bringing a new dimension to the historical castle and area which should not be underestimated.

It's an awesome place to explore the mind of H. R. Giger. From a mechanical perspective the details in his drawings and sculptures is insane and from an artistic perspective, at least subjective from my side - very interesting. If you like phallic/yonic shapes, it's a perfect way to experience them in all weird ways. I had a lot of laughs and good conversations with my GF over some drawings 😂 but also much appreciation over his art. He's 700 year waiting for B-Post sketches are priceless. If you think your child should accompany you - you are probably more weird than Mr. Giger himself. And only the best for Armbeinda.

The HR Giger Museum is an absolutely mind-blowing experience. Walking through the rooms feels like stepping straight into his surreal and dark universe – it’s both eerie and fascinating at the same time. The collection is huge, from his early sketches to the iconic Alien designs, and everywhere you turn there’s something that grabs your attention. It’s not just a museum, it feels like a journey into the mind of a true visionary artist. My wife and I kept pointing things out to each other, completely amazed by the level of detail and imagination. If you’re anywhere near Gruyères, this place is worth going out of your way for – unforgettable and one of a kind.

We had the most exciting time visiting this incredible museum with its extensive collection of artwork from HR Gigger. There are many exhibition rooms that we found very exciting to discover, my very favorite is a large table with high backed throne like chairs and life size sculpture of the Alien. Photos without flash are allowed.

Who would ever expect to find a sci-fi museum in the middle of a rural village best known for its cheese? And yet — there it is: the H. R. Giger Museum, showcasing the visionary works that earned him an Academy Award. Truly unique — weird and captivating at once — and absolutely worth a visit, especially set against the stunning panorama of Gruyères with its charming old town, castle and sweeping mountain views. If you like the artist who's artwork inspired the Xenomorph from the "Alien" franchise of movies then this is the museum for you. This covers all of HR Geiger's work not just the Xenomophs but other movies such as Species, as well as supernatural themes such as Satanic and magic based themes Due to this I would say personally that I wouldn't take anybody under 15 into the museum as I was made uncomfortable from some of the artwork and I am in my middle age and thought I was opened minded This art gallery is on 4 floors and while they will help you as much as they can to get around the museum, the village is medieval and very hilly so be advised that if you are like me with reduced mobility you may need to give yourself extra time The cost is reasonable at 12.50 swiss francs and you can't order advance tickets but due to the popularity of the village from tour groups get there as early as you can to avoid queues

La Maison du Gruyère is a charming stop if you’re visiting the Gruyères region. The self-guided tour is short but informative, giving a nice overview of how the famous Gruyère cheese is made. You can see the production process through glass windows (especially interesting if you go in the morning when cheese is being made), and the free audio guide adds good context in multiple languages. You’re given cheese samples at different stages of aging, which is a nice touch. The interactive parts are kid-friendly and engaging, and the gift shop offers a wide range of local cheeses and souvenirs at reasonable prices. However, the experience is more educational than hands-on, so don’t expect to make your own cheese or interact with the cheesemakers. Still, it’s a great stop for an hour or so, especially if combined with the nearby Gruyères Castle or the chocolate factory in Broc. Worth a visit if you’re in the area!

The tour was very much shorter than expected. although very informational, and quite entertaining, I felt it went by too quickly. They gave us cheese to try before we started our tour, and boy was it delicious. We are glad we did it, and would recommend it to anyone! The cheese will not disappoint

A shorter but excellent experience to see how this traditional and famous Swiss cheese is made! It is quite short but as part of a bigger itinerary in the day this is perfect, best suited in combination with a trip to the castle, and well worth it! Their cafe is also really nice and the people are lovely, usually also very accommodating, and speak very good English, for those who have trouble with French.

Well maintained castle, modestly furnished, with a collection of interesting frescoes and murals. Strategically built on a small island, it used both the Lake Geneva and a moat created between the island and the mainland for defense. Our group had arrived in the late afternoon just in time to enjoy free wine tasting of some local wines, then proceeded to explore the medieval halls and underground chambers. The view from some rooms onto the lake and the Alps is stunning. It is the most visited monument in Switzerland.

This lakeside Castle with breathtaking view was stunning, pictures didn't do it justice. Its magical setting made it one of Switzerland’s most enchanting landmarks. I fully enjoyed my visit, highly recommend.

Château de Chillon is actually really big to explore, especially with the guided map they provide you. I was so tired, a lot of exploring new rooms that never seem like it would end. If you didn’t know, this castle inspired Prince Eric’s in The Little Mermaid. You can hear tons of water sounds by the prison area. It was relative peaceful for me as there weren’t much crowds and kids, so sometimes I got to explore rooms alone.

Beautiful castle (Little Mermaid was inspired on it) with lots of history. I really recommend taking the audio guide which is super complete. It lets you wonder alone around the castle which is a magical experience. The castle is in great conservation, and the dungeons are particularly beautiful. The best view I’ve had from any castle I’ve visited so far. The castle is beautifully preserved, with authentic medieval furnishings that clearly took great effort to maintain. It’s generously open to the public, with access to nearly every corner—even up the creaky wooden staircases, which add to the sense of stepping back in time. Free entry for Swiss pass holders. Two hours or longer is needed.

Fascinating experience. We spent several hours wandering through the castle. The careful preservation of this site allows an understanding of history, with excellent access to all areas both indoors and outdoors and detailed information boards throughout. It is also a lovely lakeside walk from Montreux (after ferry from Lausanne) and a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating is opposite. A truly wonderful morning.

Chillon Castle is a medieval island castle located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, near Montreux. It is the most visited historic monument in Switzerland. Come for their nice history and good lake views, indeed very photo worthy! After all it’s free with SWISS TRAVEL PASS.

Loved the experience, and the Prestige section was a special treat. But they should give some thought to rearranging the layout a bit as you certainly can't use much of the deluxe chair features since you're totally constrained by the folks across from you in the four-Plex sections. Do yourself a favor and pick a seat from the single row sections - even if that means splitting up your party. Also, could really use some cupholders and places to stash your phones/cameras besides your lap or behind the front and back seats.

The Golden Pass Railway is a spectacular journey through Switzerland’s stunning landscapes, and using the First Class Swiss Travel Pass made it even more worthwhile. The flexibility to hop on and off as you please allows you to explore more destinations at your own pace. What truly impressed me is Switzerland’s transport system—it’s incredibly well-connected across boats, trams, trains, and buses. Everything runs smoothly and efficiently, making travel seamless and enjoyable. The GoldenPass Belle Époque ride was an absolute highlight of our trip. The vintage-style carriages, elegant interiors, and large windows created a charming and nostalgic atmosphere from the moment we boarded. The scenic journey was stunning throughout, offering beautiful views of lakes, mountains, and picturesque Swiss villages. Everything about the ride felt comfortable and memorable. If there’s one thing that could make the experience even better, it would be having a restaurant or dining carriage on board. Enjoying a proper meal while taking in the breathtaking scenery would elevate the journey to another level. Overall, a lovely and highly recommended experience for anyone travelling through Switzerland!

Really nice and smooth ride. The beauty of the sights you see really does feel like the time flies. I highly recommend reseving a seat, and even though all views are breathtaking, may be the right side of the train was of my preference. We traveled from Interlaken to Montreux, approximately 3,5 hours, and it felt like no other train ride before. Definitely a must.

I did the entire Golden Pass train journey from Interlaken ost to Montreaux. While the train with huge windows is great, the best panoramic views are only between Gstaad and Montreaux. This panoramic train is included in Swiss Travel Pass. Since I did my journey on a weekday during spring season in April, I did not reserve my seat and was able to get a very good seat. However, I strongly recommend seat booking if traveling during peak summer season.

The Montreux promenade is absolutely stunning — a peaceful walkway along Lake Geneva lined with colorful flowers, palm trees, and sculptures. The views of the Alps across the lake are breathtaking, especially during sunset. There are plenty of benches, cafés, and ice cream spots along the way, making it perfect for families and couples alike. A relaxing and unforgettable experience — one of the most beautiful promenades in Switzerland

Doesn't matter what time of the day or what day of the year...if you are in Montreux, you just have to take a nice leisurely stroll along the lake. The place is always breathtakingly beautiful and it is peaceful despite being full of tourists and locals. There are many things to see along the promenade along with many restaurants and shops.

It's such a beautiful place to stroll down and enjoy the views of the lake. We weren't there during clear skies and it was still so so beautiful! The flowers were blooming and so many varieties, it was really a treat. Would recommend coming during Sunday, just a short train ride (not even an hour) from Geneva. Definitely a nice change from the shops and city life!

We arrived from Milan Sept 6, 2025 just in time for the 3 days Freddie Mercury birthday celebration. I enjoyed the celebration right there in Lake Leman so happy to celebrate 🥳 his birthday and experience where he once stood. The museum dedicated to Queen is just 200 meters from his statue.

Enjoyed the walk around Lake Geneva, admiring the many statues, small or lifesize. The iconic one of Freddie Mercury was like icing on a cake. However I do wish someone would clean up the statue once in a while, there is just too much junk hanging on him and around him as gifts from well meaning fans.

When in Rome...er, Montreux. Worth a visit for a photo or two if you've got the time. And there's a gelateria just a block away! Hang out on/near the lake right there at the coolest public bench circle ever made, then take a stroll along the lake - preferably near sunset.

As a lifetime fan of Freddie, I took a 4 hour detour, just to go and pay respect to the greatest singer and entertainer if all time. He has a beautiful spot with a great view of the lake. I'm sure he would have loved it.

The great representation of a Titan of music. A little hard to get a great photo as they were doing some construction around the area. At one point, he even had a do not cross tape wrapped around 1 foot as they made a fence to do some work on the viewing platform for the lake. I did manage to get one or two good shots. If you can get a picture of him from the side with the mountains and the lake on a nice day it is very breathtaking in a view. I’m sure he appreciated when he was in town to record music.

Statue of Freddie Mercury (Real name: Farrukh Bulsara) was a British singer and songwriter who achieved global fame as the lead vocalist and pianist of the rock band Queen. This statue is a tribute to him and serves as a memory of the days of his life he spent in Montreaux, Switzerland. The location is also stunning alongside Montreaux promenade. Tip: Don't forget to visit his recording studio in Montreaux. Search on google maps: Queen Studio Experience. Entry is free.

Totally recommended to visit when you are in the area or even when staying in zurich for a couple of days! Such a delight to visit Charlie Chaplin house and the museum.

Very nice interactive experience that tells the story of Charlie Chapman's life. Bring your camera, get crazy and have fun. The house tour, self guided, was wonderful as well. I felt like someone was still living there. A great view into someone's personal life. With 12 years living in Europe and visiting many places, I thought the 30chf entrance free was about 10chf too expensive. The price didn't stop us from visiting, but it is an expensive visit. The café is okay to grab a coffee and sandwich. We did!

Its a must see if you are a fan of Charli Chaplin it's where he spent his last days. Big rig motohomes will have a hard time parking. Parking is FRK 5.00 can be paid in the ticketing office.

If you're a fan of Chaplin, this is a MUST stop and see. Had chance to tour Charlie's home, which had all the original furniture from when he lived there. The studio museum was incredible experience, it was extremely well done and laid out. Would absolutely recommend!!

It was a wonderful experience. Charlie Chaplin's life has been beautifully depicted. The tickets are included with the Swiss pass. Must watch the movie. Great place for children and adults alike. It's located outside the city but is a very comfortable 20 minute bus ride. A must visit place not to be missed if you are around Vevey.

Really surprised. It was wonderfully done and by the end of the visit I wanted to go see his movies right away! Interactive and full of great items from his life. Don't miss visiting his house too. It's a bit expensive but you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic Museum. Felt like you really got to know Charlie Chaplin the person, his work and his family. Would have rated 5 if not for the exit issues. FIX the stupid entrance exit through the gift shop and save yourself arguing with customers about tickets, two members of our group stepped into the gift shop while waiting for the start of the first step of the visit and had to argue to get back as you are only allowed to exit the exhibition after the giftshop. If it was just us I would understand, but we saw two other sets of people arguing about it too, and in the end the lady at the entrance said it happens all the time. Better to fix it vs arguing and upsetting guests.

Booked our 3yr old toddler in a few months back. Great communication from Ellie in the team all the way through to before just first lesson. So many questions for us that they happily answered. He then met Francois. Despite a few tears at the start he was quickly off exploring and boarding. Beaming from ear to ear at the drop off. For the next few days, everyone in Mint uniform has became a best friend to him, waving when he points them out to us. He has had a great time boarding and learning new things as well as having adventures on the chair lifts. He wants to come back for more lessons with Francois and next year I will have a few with Mint as well.

Technical Performance Course with MINT Snowboarding My boys (now 13 and 15) have been having lessons with MINT most seasons since they were just 4 and 6 years old, so we’ve known and trusted this incredible team for years. This season, I joined my 15 year old on the Technical Performance course and it turned out to be one of the best snowboarding experiences we’ve ever had. I’m an experienced boarder, but I had never ventured in the snow park. I really wanted to push my riding to the next level, and this course delivered exactly that. The coaching was technical, focused, and perfectly tailored to each rider. We covered everything from carving and torsional flex to steeper terrain, off-piste control, and freestyle, with helpful video feedback throughout the week. We were lucky to have two brilliant instructors Jorge and Janet who each brought their own unique style to the course. Jorge’s energy and technical insight were inspiring, while Janet’s calm, precise coaching helped us really lock in key improvements. It was great to experience both their teaching styles they complemented each other so well. Safe to say, my son was exceptional when it came to freestyle he was flying through the park, and learning alongside him really pushed me too. We spent half our mornings in the snow park, starting on the small jumps, part way through the 1st session my son moved onto the medium size jumps and by second day so was. Part way through the week we were confidently hitting and landing the middle-sized ones all day long. I didn’t expect to enjoy the park as much as I did, but I absolutely loved it. MINT really is the premier snowboard school in Europe, they’ve built an incredible reputation for a reason. From age 3 to adult, their coaching system and team of instructors are second to none. I wouldn’t recommend any other snowboard school. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to fine-tune advanced skills, MINT is simply the best. Huge thanks again to the whole team. we’ll definitely be back.

We decided we wanted to take the twins (6yrs) for their first trip to the mountains this winter, and learn to snowboard. We researched all the schools in Europe and time and time again we were drawn back to Mint. The reviews were phenomenal and the vibe we felt from their social was exactly what we wanted. We came to Avoriaz for Mint, and wow, it was the best decision we made. Francois their instructor was incredible, they both loved him, and he knew exactly how to get the best out of their very different personalities. We genuinely couldn’t have found a better fit, and could not believe the improvements seen in just 3 lessons! We will be making Mint and Francois a firm feature in our annual calendar! Thank you Francois and Mint for making their first time to the snow/mountains and epic one!

Massive thank you to Tammy and the rest of the Mint crew for such an awesome week on the slopes. I did the off piste course and we were lucky enough to be treated to a new adventure every day! Tammy provided lots of guidance and definitely feel I came away a better boarder. We had a great group so lots of fun was had!! Can’t wait for next season!

Such a fantastic week. I loved everything about it. Tammy’s coaching was excellent. She made use of every moment we had on the slopes and covered so much ground in one week. The technical skills we learned improved our riding in a variety of terrain and conditions. We had a blast in every lesson whether we were on the piste, gaining confidence in the park or riding powder. The chalet was really nice and the hosts were amazing. The yoga sessions with Katie were really good too. I feel so lucky to have been part of this camp. Everybody was so friendly, encouraging and fun to hang out with. I made some really good friends and look forward to snowboarding with them and Mint again soon!

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! The camps are amazing combined with Treeline. The instructor was really patient and gave me so much confidence on the slopes. DEFINITELY coming back next year 🏂🤩💫

Had a fabulous week with Iban, In a group of 3 ,we all said we learnt so much! Top Instructor and always a lovely smile. Definitely recommend and would use again.

This was only the second time we have been skiing, having gone in February 2024 but not to Morzine. Sadly today (3rd January 2025) was our last day skiing for this holiday. We have had daily lessons for the last week - 1 instructor for my wife and myself and one for our teenage girls - they are way better than us parents! Tom, was tasked with teaching us oldies and Kate the girls. To say they were great just doesn't seem sufficient. They both quickly understood our relative levels and what we needed and were brilliant at keeping the lessons fun and at the right level. By the end of the week the girls were off piste skiing and doing 360 spins and skiing backwards! My wife and I ... were not doing these things ... but we were able to ski around with total confidence (and if we do say so ourselves some ok technique!) and have just a lovely time on some beautiful runs. We will most definitely be coming back to Morzine and we will absolutely be booking again with British Alpine Ski School. All of the Bass employees seemed great but as we got to know Tom and Kate a little bit more we do have a particular soft spot for them. And finally a quick mention to Jo in their head office. She is so helpful with the booking process and made things so simple and made you feel like a real person. An absolute star. As you can tell I can't recommend BASS enough... even if I couldn't do 360 degree spins ... but maybe next time!

I can honestly say we had one of the best experience with BASS Les Gets that we have ever had with any company. It was our first time skiing with our young girls and from the support and advice during the booking process through to the AMAZING instructor we had we could not have wished for more! It made the trip so much more enjoyable for the whole family and I would 100% recommend them to anyone considering a ski school in France. Thank you and see you next year.

Both my individual and group lessons with BASS were excellent and I would highly recommend them. They keep their class sizes small and this meant that I got lots of very individualised feedback from highly experienced and expert instructors, even in a group lesson. The instructors tailored the lessons to meet the varied needs of everyone in the group and made sure everyone had an enjoyable time. This makes it well worth the slightly higher cost than other companies in Morzine because you develop much more quickly across a smaller number of lessons.

I recently had the pleasure of taking ski lessons in Les Gets with instructors Ed and Jaz, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. From the start, their energy, passion, and enthusiasm for skiing were absolutely contagious. Their love for the sport was evident, and it made the whole experience incredibly engaging and enjoyable. Having not skied for a very long time, I was initially quite nervous, but their positive attitude and encouraging approach made all the difference. They had a great way of boosting confidence, ensuring that every step of the lesson felt like progress rather than pressure. The teaching style is adaptable, adjusting to your needs and skill level, which made learning both effective and loads of fun. Beyond their excellent instruction, Ed and Jaz were punctual(unlike me), professional, and incredibly helpful. Their ability to break down techniques in an easy-to-understand way while keeping the atmosphere light and fun made every lesson a highlight of my trip. If you’re looking for ski instructors who bring skill, enthusiasm, and a genuinely supportive teaching style, Edward and Jaz are an outstanding choice. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Had a fantastic experience with BASS, the booking process with Jo was really smooth and a special thank you goes to Tom my instructor. I began the week barely able to turn on green runs without falling over and ended confidently skiing a red run, the tuition was brilliant throughout and he really took the time to understand my strengths and weaknesses and build up my confidence. Can't recommend them highly enough and I wouldn't hesitate to book again on my next visit to Morzine.

BASS is the bomb. I only ever skied once in my life before (which was not a great experience) and within four days of adult group lessons I was comfortable going down blue pistes !!! The groups are small and the instructors communicated with one another to make sure that everyone was comfortable at their levels. My instructor Tom Watts was amazing: patient, kind and knew well when it was time to take it to the next level. Group lessons can be frustrating when different levels and learners are put together, but this school has a fantastic system to cater to everyone's needs and learning goals. Super experience !!!!!

We have been using Bass for a few years now for our girls; now 6 and 7. Hands down the best ski school for children (we have also tried others). Instructors are kind, credible and deliver great coaching. Our children always enjoy the experience. In Val both Luke and Dave have been exceptionally good.
