Gurudwara
Sights & Landmarks
Gurudwara Sri Manji (Baoli) Sahib Ji is a stunning Sikh temple adorned with gilded domes and intricately designed marble prayer halls, set within a spacious colonnaded courtyard. This sacred site marks the location where the sixth Guru, Guru Hargobind, took refuge during his journey to meet Emperor Jahangir. Nestled along G.T.
The Gurudwara Manji Sahib was built on the site where the sixth Guru stayed during his visit to Ambala city. The main Gurudwara building is on G.T. Road (Shershah Suri Marg). Devotees come to this pilgrimage site to take a dip in the nearby pond. They also take nectar from the stepwell built by the sixth Guru during his stay here. Gurdwara Baoli Sahib or Gurdwara Manji Sahib – It is said that Guru Hargobind stayed here on his way to meet Emperor Jahangir. Villagers of nearby Khurrampur Majri complained of a chronic shortage of drinking water. The Guru encouraged them to dig a stepwell and ordered some of the Sikhs living there to help the villagers dig the stepwell and bridge it. On returning from Delhi, the Guru was happy to see that the work was completed. The Sikhs established a memorial platform, the Manji Sahib, at the place where the Guru lived near Baoli.

Very calm and serene place. Visited this place during my SSC exam. The place is beautiful especially at night. There's a pond behind the main Gurudwara which is lovely. They have good room facility to stay at night. Only 300 for a night. Rooms are spacious and they are also clean as well. Although the top most rooms can feel a little hot in summer. But it's the ideal place to stay if you are going for an exam.

Gurudwara Sri Manji Sahib Ji is one of the oldest Gurudwara Sahib in Ambala City. Many people come here to pay offerings to Guru Har gobind Singh Ji, the 10th Guru of Sikhs. This religious place also has a history attached to it. I have shared the details in the pictures. This Gurudwara Sahib has Bauli Sahib. It is believed whosoever drinks this holy water or takes bath from this holy water or She get rid of all the diseases and their wishes will be fulfilled. Waheguru ji Mehar karn 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Waheguru ji. A peaceful religious point (Gurudwara) associated with 6th Sikh guru, Guru Hargobind Sahib ji. He stayed here for 1 night while going to Gwalior jail from Amritsar. And on the request of local people the Guru dug the spot in this location to pour out holy water called Jal.

Online on the place's overview there were pictures of swimming pool but on booking even the best room here that is the super deluxe room, we did not get access to swimming pool. They said it is not a part of this property. They also said that the swimming pool is present only in moksha that is a 5 star place. And that we cannot have access to that even after paying. Scam!
GEETANJALI A — Google review
I booked the rooms through Goibobo.. stay was very comfortable. Food was really nice and overall hospitality was really good. It is very huge property. Weather was too good. View was really awesome. The only thing missing was swimming pool..
Neetika J — Google review
They didn't let us eat because we reached there by car and not by ropeway. Even after requesting them to let us atleast eat something because we have been traveling for last 3 hours they refused and asked us to go immediately. Apparently their ropeway business is more important than the customers. A very very very bad experience.
Namrata G — Google review
We had booked valley view room with balcony to enjoy the scenery. But we were unable to do so because of the monkey menice. There were monkeys all the time in the balcony making it inaccessible for us. And to further add to nuisance they even littered the balcony and most of our time was spent in shooing them away from inside the room. Once they even tried to enter the room and take away eatables. All the hotel staff did was give us a stick and we had to stay on high alert the entire time. Poor maintainence by the hotel. This is not what were there for.

It's great for one time experience, you will get complete view of the valley from the cabin. It costs 1k/ person.

Has to be the best place in chandigarh, one of the best walking / jogging track you'd see.. lake on one side and green belt on the other.. sit for sometime and enjoy the wonderful hills in the backdrop and feel the cool breeze.. plenty of parking and a wonderful cafe..
Sumit G — Google review
I visited Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh early morning recently, and it was a refreshing experience! This man-made lake, built in 1958 by Le Corbusier’s team, is a serene spot with calm waters reflecting the Shivalik hills. The early morning vibe was magical—cool air, chirping birds, and a stunning sunrise painting the sky. The walking path was perfect for a peaceful stroll, and I loved watching locals jogging and practicing yoga. The nearby café served tasty snacks, adding to the charm. However, some areas had litter, which slightly detracted from the beauty. Also, more benches would’ve been nice for resting. Despite these, Sukhna Lake’s tranquility and scenic views make it a lovely spot to start the day in Chandigarh.

A Serene Escape and the Jewel of Chandigarh! During my visit to Chandigarh for the ISRT meeting this September, a trip to Sukhna Lake was the perfect way to unwind. The moment I arrived, I was struck by the incredible sense of peace and tranquility. The lake itself is beautiful, with placid waters shimmering against the stunning backdrop of the distant Shivalik Hills. A leisurely stroll along the clean, wide promenade was so refreshing and offered a wonderful escape from the city's hustle. The atmosphere was calm and rejuvenating, and I could see why it's such a beloved spot for locals and tourists alike. Sukhna Lake is truly the jewel of Chandigarh. It was a highlight of my trip and is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a moment of peace and natural beauty
Sohaib A — Google review
I have been visiting this place and it remains an incredible destination to relax and reconnect with nature. Sukhna Lake, a serene reservoir at the foothills of the Shivalik Hills in the Himalayas, is an integral part of Chandigarh’s planned cityscape. Even today, it stands as one of India’s most famous artificial lakes and planned city, offering a tranquil experience with still waters. Nestled at the forefront of Sector 1, the lake is surrounded by lush forests and sits adjacent to the governor’s residences of both states. The morning sunshine here is truly mesmerizing, creating a magical aura for early risers. Joggers, walkers, and yoga enthusiasts find their perfect spot along the lake’s edge to embrace the refreshing start of the day.

It is a very nice and big garden where you can easily spend 2 to 3 hours. Childrens play area are also there. There are lots of varities of roses from all over the world. You can scan their QR code and know more information about them. Better to visit in winters as roses are more blossoms in that season.

For the Haryana ADO exam, my center was Govt Model High School, Sector 25, Block B, Chandigarh. It is located around 8-10 Km from Chandigarh railway station. Outside the exam center, on the notice board, the roll number and sitting arrangement were displayed. Inside the gate, a security check-up was done. They have the facilities for submitting mobiles, bags etc. free of cost. But, they have asked us to remove all the threads, religious threads from our hands (but it was not written on the admit card). Anyway, they have guided us along the route to our respective classroom. Drinking water and bathroom facilities are available. On the black board, the sitting arrangement, date, center details etc. are mentioned. Sir checked our admit card and identity proof. They have distributed question papers with a slight delay of 5 minutes (They have provided an extra 5 minutes for the exam for this reason). The exam was conducted properly without any disturbance. Overall, this center was good. Thank You! 🙏

Shri Kali Devi Mandir, a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Kali, was constructed by Sikh Maharaja Bhupinder Singh in 1936. It is a highly revered religious site that remains bustling throughout the day with devotees seeking blessings from Maa Kali and hoping for their wishes to be fulfilled. Situated in Patiala, this must-visit temple boasts of new infrastructure and a well-maintained parking area.
We visited the temple on a Sunday and believe me it was too crowded. We don't get to see the deity properly as the priests will literally push you away. Frankly speaking, cleanliness of the surroundings of the temple needs to be worked on...it was littered with garlands, wine bottles and Puja items. If these things are not allowed inside the temple..then it must be restricted.

Barandari Garden, often referred to as the "lungs of Patiala," is a tranquil oasis that invites visitors to immerse themselves in nature's beauty. This expansive park features a jogging track, vibrant flower beds, and a serene pond, making it an ideal spot for morning or evening strolls. The garden is not only a haven for relaxation but also serves as a backdrop for various film shoots from Pollywood and Bollywood due to its picturesque scenery.
“LUNGS OF PATIALA” This monicker perfectly describes Baradari Garden in Patiala. Huge open green, peaceful place for morning and evening walks. Added attraction is the chirping of birds which has just about gone extinct in our concrete jungle of the city. Hugely popular for songs and film shoots of Pollywood and Bollywood. You can find innumerable species of flora in the vast space. As the name suggests this garden had 12 entrances. Parking available at many entrances. Rides and games available for children. Hugely popular in Sunday’s’ and holidays. Open air gym is also very popular with all age groups. But it needs regular maintenance. Some of the equipment are not in proper working order. Cafeteria and clean toilets available. Must visit place in the summers. There is a marked difference in atmospheric temperature as you enter this garden

Park is an absolute gem! I've never seen a park as breathtakingly beautiful as this one. The majestic trees, some of which seem to have stood the test of time like our forefathers, are truly awe-inspiring. The diversity of flora is staggering, and being amidst nature feels like a dream come true. It's as if nature has come alive, exceeding all imagination. A must-visit for anyone looking to reconnect with nature and find peace. Perfect for a stroll, picnic, or simply soaking in the serenity."

This evocative monicker perfectly encapsulates the essence of Baradari Garden, a true gem located in the heart of Patiala. This expansive green oasis offers a serene and tranquil environment, making it an ideal spot for morning and evening walks. As you stroll through the lush pathways, you are greeted by the delightful chirping of birds, a sound that has become increasingly rare in our modern concrete jungle. This garden serves as a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Baradari Garden is not only a haven for nature lovers but also a popular destination for filmmakers, frequently hosting songs and film shoots from both Pollywood and Bollywood. The garden is home to a diverse array of flora, showcasing countless species that thrive in its vast expanse. True to its name, the garden boasts twelve entrances, making it easily accessible from various points. Ample parking is available at many of these entrances, ensuring convenience for visitors. Families will find plenty of entertainment options, as the garden features rides and games that are particularly popular on Sundays and holidays, drawing crowds of children eager for fun. For fitness enthusiasts, the open-air gym is a major attraction, catering to individuals of all age groups. However, it is worth noting that the gym equipment requires regular maintenance, as some pieces are not in optimal working condition. Visitors can also enjoy the on-site cafeteria and clean restroom facilities, adding to the overall experience. A visit to Baradari Garden during the summer months is highly recommended, as you will notice a significant drop in temperature as you step into this lush sanctuary, making it a perfect retreat from the heat

A heritage garden of Patiala. Nice to walk around here and relax. There are many trees and flowers along with places to sit. There is also an exercise corner, yoga corner, and kids place. Many old statues can't be find anymore. These days the garden lacks upkeep and maintenance. Hope to see its stunning glory back.

Nestled on elevated land donated by the villagers of Lehal, this sacred site is believed to have been graced by Guru Teg Bahadur himself. The Gurudwara features a serene pool of holy water, enhancing its spiritual ambiance. Many believe that prayers offered here can alleviate suffering, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking solace.

Gurudwara Shri Dukhniwaran Sahib in Patiala is a very peaceful and holy place. It is visited by many people who come here to pray and find relief from their worries. The gurudwara has a large holy pond (sarovar), and it is believed that taking a dip in it can heal illnesses and remove pain. The building is beautiful and well-maintained. The atmosphere is calm and spiritual, and the sound of prayers (Gurbani) gives a feeling of peace. The langar (free community meal) is served to all visitors with love and respect, showing the true spirit of equality and service. Cleanliness is well taken care of, and the staff and volunteers are kind and helpful. There is enough space for parking, and it is easy for elderly people to move around. A lovely Gurudwara with a wonderful belief attached to it linked to the 9th Guru - that those who visit, pray and take a dip in the pond with a pure heart can alleviate suffering.

Very faithful and peaceful and beautiful palace. Spiritual healing and peace are the properties of the Gurudwara Dukhnivaran Sahib, one of the most revered Gurudwaras in Punjab. Located in Lehal, a part of Patiala, it is famous for its curing properties for any ailments that anyone may be suffering from. Visitors have faith in abluting in the holy water of the pond here, because of its healing qualities. Gurudwara Dukhnivaran Sahib's origin is tied to a villager named Bhag Ram from Lehal, who sought the blessings of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji to end a mysterious plague afflicting the area. In January 1672, the Guru visited Lehal, spending time by the village pond, preaching and meditating under a banyan tree. His presence and meditation led to the plague's eradication. Consequently, the site where Guru Ji meditated came to be known as Dukhnivaran, meaning "the end of all sufferings", and this name was given to the Gurudwara. Between 1748 and 1782, Raja Amar Singh of Patiala established a garden in honour of Guru Tegh Bahadur's special visit, entrusting its care to Nihang Sikhs. Court records from 1870 mention a garden belonging to the Guru and a well, used by the Nihangs. In 1920, plans to build a railway line threatened the banyan tree where Guru Tegh Bahadur had sat, but workers refused to cut it down. Consequently, Maharaja Bhupinder Singh cancelled the project. Although a Gurudwara had not yet been built, a committee was formed in 1930 to raise funds and begin construction. Twelve years later, in 1942, the building was completed under the supervision of Maharaja Yadavindra Singh, a devout Sikh. True to its name, Gurudwara Dukhnivaran Sahib is believed to alleviate grief for those who visit with a pure heart and offer sincere prayers.

Gurdwara Shri Dukh Nivaran Sahib is not just a religious site; it's an oasis of profound peace and spiritual solace. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere envelops you in a sense of calm and serenity. The architecture is stunningly beautiful, with the gleaming white marble and gold domes creating a majestic yet welcoming sight. The complex is incredibly well-maintained, with spotlessly clean premises and beautifully landscaped gardens that invite quiet contemplation. The highlight, as the name suggests ('Dukh Nivaran' meaning 'Eraser of Sorrows'), is the peaceful and uplifting energy of the main sanctum. Listening to the continuous recitation of Gurbani (Guru's hymns) is a heart-touching experience that feels truly liberating. The Langar (community kitchen) is run with immense dedication and selfless service (Seva). The food is simple, delicious, and served with so much love and warmth, embodying the core Sikh principle of equality and community. Whether you are seeking spiritual blessings, historical knowledge, or simply a quiet place to find inner peace, this Gurdwara is a must-visit. The volunteers and staff are helpful and humble. An absolutely unforgettable experience that stays with you long after you've left. Highly recommended for everyone.

This was a very spiritually uplifting Gurudwara to visit. The Gurudwara is very well managed and meticulously maintained. Everything was perfect. The upstairs of the Gurudwara has the Darbar hall as well as historic weapons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji (Sri Sahib and Katar) while the downstairs has horse prints of Guru Sahib’s horse. The Gurudwara offers langar, a travellers hostel (200RS per night for very basic accommodation) as well as langar and free parking. A true blessing to visit.

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji came to this place 4 times. After winning the Battle of Bhangani on his way back to Anandpur Sahib, via Gurdwara Sri Baoli Sahib Dhakauli and Gurdwara Sri Nadha Sahib Panchkula, Guru Gobind Singh arrived here. At the time a bhatha (kiln) was situated. It was burning at full capacity. Guru Ji asked the bhatha labourers about a place he could rest. Knowingly or unknowningly the labourers pointed towards the bhatha. Guru Ji directed his horse (Neela) to step on the extremely hot kiln. At once the bhatha cooled down and Guru Ji's horse hoof left a mark (a hoof print which can be seen at the Gurdwara). One of the labourers informed Chaudhary Nihang Khan, the owner of the bhatha, who was in his Qila at the time. He rushed to the bhatha and to his astonishment saw Guru Gobind Singh sitting on the bhatha. Chaudhary bowed his head in front of the Guru and asked for a pardon. Chaudhary then took Guru Ji to his fort. On the following day, Guru Gobind Singh and his Singhs proceeded to Anandpur. During Guru Gobind Singh's second visit, Guru Ji came to this place for the engagement of Alam Khan, Chaudary Nihang Khan's son. On Guru Gobind Singh's return from Kurukshetra, Guru Ji stopped here for his third visit. After Guru Gobind Singh left Anandpur for the final time, Guru stopped here for his forth and final visit. He asked Nihang Khan to look after Bhai Bachittar Singh as Bhai Ji had been mortally wounded. As a huge mughal force was chasing Guru Ji, he left. But before leaving, Guru Ji provided Nihang Khan with a Sri Sahib, a katar and a shield. The items can be viewed at the Gurdwara and Bhai Bachittar Singh's shastaars can be viewed at Gurdwara Sri Shaheed Ganj Bhai Bachittar Singh in Kotla Nihang, Ropar. Prakash Diwas of 1st, 5th and 10th Patshahi, Sangrand with Amrit Sanchar, Jor Mela from 1st Poh to 4th Poh and the anniversary of Baba Jiwan Singh Ji on 11th are organised here.

Gurudwara Wadda Ghalughara Sahib

Sights & Landmarks

As Ahmad Shah was returning home after his historic victory over the Marathas in the third battle of Panipat in 1761, the Sikhs had harassed him all the way from the River Sutlej right up to the Indus Valley. When the Sikhs returned to central Punjab, they ravaged the country all around, annihilated the Afghan force in Char Mahal, drove away the Faujdar (General) of Jalandhar, plundered Sirhind and Malerkotia, defeated a force which was 12,000 strong, sent by Ahmad Shah from Afghanistan to punish them and another led personally by the Afghan governor of Lahore, and even captured Lahore, all within a short period, June-September 1761. At a general assembly (Sarbat Khalsa) of the Dal at Amritsar convened on the occasion of Bandi Chhor Divas, 27 October 1761, it was resolved to punish the agents, informers and collaborators of the Afghans, beginning with Aqil Das of Jandiala, head of the heretical Niranjania sect and an inveterate enemy of the Sikhs. Aqil Das dispatched messengers hastily to Ahmad Shah Durrani, who had in fact already entered India at the head of a large army. Meanwhile, the Sikhs had besieged Jandiala, 18km east of Amritsar. Aqil Das’s messengers met the Shah at Rohtas. The latter advanced at a quick pace but before he reached Jandiala, the Sikhs had lifted the siege and retired beyond the River Sutlej with the object of sending their families to the safety of the wastelands of Malwa before confronting the invader. Ahmad Shah, on the other hand, determined to teach the Sikhs a lesson, sent messages to Zain Khan, Faujdar (General) of Sirhind, and Bhikhan Khan, Chief of Malerkotia, directing them immediately to check and halt the Sikhs’ advance, while he himself taking a light cavalry force set out at once, covering a distance of 200 km including two river crossings in fewer than 48 hours, caught up with the Sikhs who were encamped at Kup Rahira, 12km north of Malerkotia, at dawn on the 5th of February 1762. The Dal Khalsa, comprising all of the 11 Misls and representatives of the Sikh Chiefs of Malwa, was taken by surprise. The attacks of Zain Khan and Bhikhan Khan were easily repulsed, but the main body of Ahmad Shah, much larger and better equipped, soon overtook them. Having to protect the slow moving baggage train comprising of belongings, women, children, old men and other noncombatants, the Sikhs could not resort to their usual hit and run tactics, and a stationary battle against such superior numbers was inadvisable. On the day of the attack (February 5th ,1762) Zain Khan attacked with his 20,000 men and artillery. Ahmad Shah also joined the attack with 30,000 horsemen. Sardar Jassa Singh and Sardar Charat Singh ordered the Khalsa Army to encircle the women, children and elders and keep proceeding towards Barnala as a war strategy. The Khalsa Army’s only aim was to save the Sangat somehow and fight with enemy to inflict maximum losses on their end. In this process the Khalsa Army suffered heavy casualties.

Vadda Ghalughara (Punjabi: ਵੱਡਾ ਘੱਲੂਘਾਰਾ [ʋəɖɖɑ kə̀lːuɡɑ̀ɾɑ], "The Great Massacre") was the mass-murder of the unarmed Sikhs by the Afghan forces of the Durrani Empire during the years of Afghan influence in the Punjab region of the Indian subcontinent owing to the repeated incursions of Ahmad Shah Durrani in February 1762.[1] It is distinguished from the Chhota Ghalughara (the Smaller Massacre). Mostly non-combatants, were killed[2] in the event and an estimated that 10,000 to 20,000 Sikhs were killed on 5 February 1762

Charan Kamal (Tibba Road Ludhiana) Gurudwara is a significant Sikh shrine that holds historical and spiritual importance. It marks the location where Guru Gobind Singh rested after enduring hardships, and it features stunning Sikh architecture. The annual fair in December celebrates the congregation of this holy place. Visitors describe it as a calm, spiritual place where one can easily connect with the divine and find inner peace.
This holy place is sanctified by the visit of Guru Gobind Singh. After the battle of Chamkaur Sahib, enduring hardships, he pushed his way through the thick jungles infested with thorny bushes. After an arduous journey, he lay down on the bare stony ground for rest in the garden of Masand Gulab Rai. Here his pathan devotees Ghani Khan and Nabi Khan recognised him and provided all facilities to the great Guru. From here Guru was taken in a Palki (Palanquin) disguised as 'Uch Ka Pir'. For this purpose the Guru put on a blue dress and so did his disciples accompanying him. The plan they adopted, proved a total success. Only once Mughal army intercepted the procession of the Guru but answer of Nabi Khan and Ghani Khan was so convincing that no suspicion was raised by the Mughal soldiers Thus Gurdwara Machhiwara has became a place of pilgrimage. upto this day people remember the two Pathan brothers Nabi Khan and Ghani Khan with great respect as they risked their lives in serving the Tenth Master. Gurdwara Charan Kanwal, Machhiwara, Dist. Ludhiana After agreeing to leave Chamkaur as commanded by his Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh escaped into the night and the jungle surrounded by the enemy troops. In the dark the Guru was separated from his three Sikh and left alone in the dense jungle. Guru Gobind Singh trudged through the jungle day and night, his clothes tattered and his feet blistered. Eventually the Guru reached the outskirts of Machiwara town and lay down to sleep in a garden in some bushes on the ground with a stone as his pillow. Here he was found by the three remaining Sikhs Daram Singh, Daya Singh and Man Singh. This gurdwara marks that spot where Guru Gobind Singh was found sleeping. Guru Gobind Singh drank water from the well that appears in the foreground. Gurdwara Chubara Sahib, Machhiwara, Dist. Ludhiana A Sikh named Gulaba Singh lived in the town of Machhiwara and provided Guru Gobind Singh and his three Sikhs refuge in his house at this spot while the enemy where prowling the countryside looking for the Guru with orders to capture or kill him.

It's a public park, located near the stadium. The entry to the park is free for the public, though parking of the vehicle next to the park is paid and limited. Best time to visit is during day in winters and evenings in summers. General cleanliness of the park is good. It's a good place to bring kids as the park holds good amount of playbees for them (on a payment though) . Best amongst them is the rent a bicycle, where one can hire a bike for self and the kids too and ride it on the bike track inside the park. There is a place which houses the eats, reasonably priced (vegetarian only). Hygiene along with taste including variety would be rated at 7/10.

Chhindus Dhaba Khatkarkalan is a well-maintained memorial and museum dedicated to the brave freedom fighter Sardar Bhagat Singh Ji. Visitors can explore his life through audio-visual aids, portraits, handwritten materials, and personal belongings. The museum also features a short film about Sardar Bhagat Singh's life. Additionally, nearby is Sardar Bhagat Singh's ancestral house, which is also maintained by the Punjab government.
We visited today, in the afternoon it's such a pity we have travelled around 120 kms to watch it but there is a powercut and the security guard won't allow us in. There is no power backup in a museum of one of the greatest freedom fighter of all time.

The whole place comprises of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Ji's home and museum. It is so clean and so well maintained. Often seems like a casual yet cozy place. Look for the weather and national holidays though.

One of the best place to visit and to pay respect to our Braveheart Freedom Fighter Sardar Bhagat Singh Ji 🙏🙏. We can learn here about all major events of Bhagat Singh Ji's life via audio visual aids and portraits/pictures. A lot of hand written material and other belongings related to Bhagat Singh Ji are kept here nicely. A must visit place with children. Well maintained and managed Memorial with NO ENTRY FEES. Open all days except Monday and Gazetted holidays.

S. Bhagat Singh museum is in Khatkar Kalan, in District Nawanshahar. There you can see lot of his belongings being displayed in the museum. Kids should be taken along to check out the museum so they know about the life of S. Bhagat Singh. Also a short movie being played every time. Near to this a S. Bhagat Singh's Ancestral house which is also well maintained by the Punjab government 🙂

Hardy’s World is a delightful escape for anyone looking to beat the heat or simply have a day filled with fun and adventure. Nestled on the outskirts of Ludhiana, this water and amusement park offers a lively mix of attractions that cater to both thrill-seekers and families with young kids. The water park section is a refreshing highlight, with wave pools, splash zones, and twisting water slides that offer just the right amount of adrenaline without being overwhelming. It’s especially enjoyable during the scorching summer months when the cool water and vibrant energy make it feel like a mini vacation. On the amusement side, the rides range from classic favorites like the roller coaster and giant wheel to more kid-friendly options that keep the little ones engaged. The park’s atmosphere is cheerful and relaxed, with decent food options scattered throughout—think chaat, ice cream, and quick bites that keep you fueled for the day. While it may not match the scale or polish of international parks, there’s a certain charm in its local flavor, friendly staff, and affordable pricing that makes it accessible for most. Cleanliness and maintenance could use a bit more consistency, but the overall experience still feels worthwhile. Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or just want a break from the everyday grind, Hardy’s World provides a satisfying dose of joy, laughter, and splashy memories that stick with you long after you’ve dried off. It’s not perfect, but it sure knows how to show you a good time.

My recent visit to Gurudwara Nanaksar Kaleeran Sahib was a deeply spiritual and peaceful experience. Surrounded by lush green fields and calm countryside air, this sacred place holds a unique aura of serenity and divine connection. As soon as I stepped inside the Gurudwara premises, I felt an overwhelming sense of calmness and purity. The melodious kirtan (hymns) being sung by the ragis created an atmosphere that touched the soul and helped quiet the mind. The architecture of the Gurudwara is beautiful — simple yet grand, reflecting traditional Sikh design with its white marble and golden dome. The premises were immaculately clean and well-maintained, showing the dedication of the sewadars who serve here with true devotion. The experience was further elevated when I received the Hukamnama Sahib, the divine order of the day, which felt personally guiding and deeply meaningful. I’ve attached the image of the Hukamnama as a cherished reminder of the spiritual wisdom received that day. The Langar (community meal), as always, was a symbol of equality and kindness — prepared and served with love, reminding us of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings of seva (selfless service) and vand chakna (sharing with others). Overall, my visit to Nanaksar Kaleeran Sahib was more than just a trip — it was a soulful experience that renewed faith, brought peace, and filled the heart with gratitude. A truly divine place that every devotee should visit. 🙏✨ #GurudwaraNanaksarKaleeran #Hukamnama #Faith #Peace #Sikhism #Seva #SpiritualJourney

The Gurudwara was established by Baba Nand Singh Ji for the social welfare of the Sikh community. They wanted to spread the message of our all 10 Guru's through our Holy book Gurugarnth Sahib. Moreover, whenever you will visit here you will find artificial Tigers & Lions everywhere, the reason behind the wild animals used to come here to listen the Gurubani and train frequently stopped nearby railways line without any stopage ( locals beliefs). The thali was good however there was no fresh safed makhan or makki ka roti or even gulab jamun. The chai was poor because there was no option for no sugar the ladies who made the parantha were never listening to my grandmother who is seventy years old and kept giving her rotis not fresh tawa ka parantha. And the dancing was great however the music is deafening. However the kulfi, dhai Bhalla were amazing, the magic show was great however the chuski was too sweet, I would not recommend bringing the elderly to eat the snacks as it was way too sweet. In the whole Havel was good however this rangale punjab was poor as they didn’t have that many Punjabi food

Only problem was with astrologer who seems to be a fraud….. used a same old story which frauds use to extract money from you by scaring you. We saw this in Chokhi Dhani Jaipur too but there the guy was good and gave us option.

Locatuon is good right at the highway. Inside atmosphere is good but areawise is not so big. Cultural programme is great. Punjab old cluture is displayed everywhere which is good to see if you have come for the first time Inside a big restaurant is there which is included in the entry ticket but frankly I didnt like the food inside and the biggest reason is - We had so many small meals/ food around the restaurant ( stalls everywhere like chaat, candys, ice cream etc) inside and we got full and there is no place left for the dinner. We suggest you to have the fresh baked roti with makkahn and chutney stall and enjoy other small meals ( chaat, pani puri, candys, ice cream kulfi, aam panna jaggery tea etc.), for diner you can opt after sometime post your digestion. Evrything is included in the entry ticket. Overall I feel the entry ticket 1000 is over priced as the place is not so big and also the food option is limited. One time visit is good.

Nakodar. Na koi Aisa Dar. It’s a very divine and a peaceful shrine of Dera Baba Murad Shah Ji and Baba Laddi Shah Ji. One can come and have some peace here. The Dargah premise is very massive in size and it’s so beautiful. The role of management is commendable as the Dargah and its inner surroundings are very clean and very well maintained. Also, don’t forget to buy most famous Besan Barfi from here. It’s so tasty, less sugary and the quality is just awesome. Washrooms are so hygienic and tidy just like International Airports or Shopping Malls. Here, no one runs behind you to make you pay for Dharshan and getting blessings of Nakodar Darbar. The pond behind this Dargah is one of the most cleaned and beautiful pond I have ever seen in my life. The water is so clean and the palm trees surrounding it is just so scenic and amazing. This is a divine place. Please do come and get all your pains and sufferings removed at Darbar. Highly recommended👍👍👍👍🙏👌👌🤎🤎Jai Mastan Di.

Devotion and Architecture: Nestled in Arya Nagar, Jalandhar, is a beautiful temple complex that serves as a spiritual haven. The serene environment, punctuated by the soothing sounds of bells and hymns, offers a welcome respite. The temple's landscape is dotted with various shrines dedicated to different deities, creating a harmonious and inclusive atmosphere for all visitors. The architectural style is a fascinating mix of traditional and contemporary elements. While the main structures have the classic tiered domes and spires typical of North Indian temple architecture, there are also modern, clean lines and polished marble surfaces that lend the complex a pristine look. A prominent feature is the impressive golden dome, which is a modern addition but reflects the traditional pyramidal shape of temple shikhara. Among the various deities enshrined here, a large statue of Lord Hanuman stands prominently, representing strength and devotion. The temple's interior is equally beautiful, with intricate carvings on the pillars and altars. The use of white marble gives the space a sense of purity and calm, enhancing the spiritual experience for all who enter. This temple complex is not just a place of worship but a cultural and architectural landmark. It beautifully merges ancient religious traditions with modern design, creating a space that is both historically significant and relevant to contemporary spiritual life. It's a place where you can find peace and feel a deep sense of connection.

Very nice experience at the spiritual place. We stayed at the dharamshala inside the temple premises. For 900 rupees per day, we were given a big room with AC and geyser in the bathroom. Rooms were clean compared to other dharamshalas. It takes around 90 minutes to fully cover all places inside the temple. Mornings and evenings are the best time to visit the temple. It's a bit crowded in the evening. Staying in Dharamshala was a great experience as we can visit the temple any number of times effortlessly. The management personnel were very helpful.

Beautifully built, but of course not looked after properly. Walking thru, you can travel back to the time it would’ve been built - the passion, the vision, its use, the grandeur. Kind of sad to see it in its current run down state. But it’s still a gorgeous building to visit and marvel at its majestic grand beauty. The watchman at the gates were very friendly, as were all the school staff. Beware: you can’t rock up and enter. Since it now operates as a school, due to safety concerns Entry is strictly by permission. Basically you need to know someone who can account for you.

Something for @sainik school and the administration of kapurthala to consider. We were asked at the gate to get permission from the DC office where they told us sorry, no permission given!

The Jagatjit Palace has been converted to a Sainik School. The school has been in existence for around four odd decades and has produced some outstanding officer for the defence forces besides other walks of life. The Jagatjit Palace has lost much of its original splendor and is presently in a rather dilapidated condition. The museum has lost much of its sheen and the school building too is in need of repair. However the palace does provide a glimpse of the grandeur that it once boasted including the marvelously painted, etched and sculptured artifact's. The grounds are an excellent place to visit, albeit after seeking permission from the school authorities.

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Nestled about 55 km south of Amritsar, Harike Wetland stands as the largest wetland in Northern India and a vital bird sanctuary. This stunning area is formed by the confluence of the Sutlej and Beas rivers, creating a vast lake that teems with diverse wildlife, including migratory birds, local fish species, and unique plant life. Nature enthusiasts can immerse themselves in its beauty through guided boat tours or tranquil lakeside walks.
First of all this location is not accurate. This place is named Harike Wetland but if you see the map clearly this location has no river or water source nearby which shows the location is inaccurate. Actually Harike wetland is approx 25 to 30km away from this location. This location misguided me too once but i changed location to Harike Bird Sanctuary. For easy and precise navigation i would suggest searching for Harike Barrage(Indira Gandhi Canal) or Gurudwara Nanaksar Sahib in Harike which is approx 300 mt away from Harike wetland or Bird sanctuary. You can start the journey to this sanctuary from that Gurudwara. Regarding this place, its beautiful natural wetland, winters are the best time to visit when birds from europe migrate to India.

About 55 km south of Amritsar, Harike is India’s largest wetland and a designated bird sanctuary. Created by the confluence of the Sutlej and Beas rivers, the vast lake supports abundant wildlife—migratory waterfowl, local fish species, and endemic flora. Visitors explore via guided boat rides and lakeside paths. It’s a paradise for birdwatchers, nature lovers and photographers, especially in winter when Siberian ducks, pelicans and cranes flock here. Roughly 55 km south of Amritsar lies Harike, India’s largest wetland and an important bird sanctuary. Formed where the Sutlej and Beas rivers meet, this sprawling lake nurtures a rich variety of life—ranging from migratory birds and native fish to rare plant species. Tourists can discover its beauty through guided boat trips and peaceful lakeside trails. During the winter months, it transforms into a hotspot for bird enthusiasts, drawing Siberian ducks, pelicans, and cranes. Combining calm natural surroundings with remarkable biodiversity, Harike is a key eco-tourism attraction in the Amritsar region.

Sights & Landmarks
Sri Harmandir Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple, is a central place of worship for Sikhs worldwide. The temple is made of white marble covered in gold leaf and is surrounded by the Amritsar Sarovar, with a causeway called the Guru's Bridge leading to its entrance. Inside, devotees can find the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism.
Our family visited Sri Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara during 21 to 23 October 2025 Dipawali holidays Darshan. We stayed at Sri Guru Arian Devji Niwas, near campus. Due to the blessings of God, we took Darshan for 3 consecutive days, in a calm, tranquil, pious, religious atmosphere. We got Langar prasad. Hundreds of Sikh community bhakts were voluntarily providing their valuable services happily. It has a clean, peaceful, serene, excellent infrastructure facilities coupled with best human resources serving the devotees.

Beautiful, humbling place. There was so much to experience from the Golden temple to the jora service to the langar service to the gold sewa workshop. The museums on-site are also there to serve as a reminder of the resilience that Sikhs have had to have to survive and become a large community. There are many gurudwaras and soravars (lakes) on-site to take amrat as well. To be able to sit under the trees that some of the Gurus had done so was also wonderful. A beautiful place to visit.

Visiting Sri Harmandir Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple, was a truly divine and peaceful experience. The moment you step inside, the positive energy of the place surrounds you completely. The sight of the golden structure reflecting on the holy water is absolutely breathtaking, it feels serene and spiritual in every sense. The seva done by volunteers, from helping visitors to preparing and serving food in the langar, is truly inspiring. The langar experience itself is something everyone should have at least once, pure, and full of devotion. The entire temple complex is extremely well-maintained, clean, and beautifully organized despite the huge crowds. The pathway around the sarovar is peaceful for sitting or walking, especially in the early morning or late evening when the lighting makes it look magical. Overall, Sri Harmandir Sahib is not just a religious place but a symbol of peace, equality, and faith. No matter what your background is, you’ll feel a deep sense of spirituality here. A must-visit place that truly touches the heart.

Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar, originally built by Guru Ram Das Ji, is a full-on serenity powerhouse. The entire space operates like a high-efficiency ecosystem — calm energy, timeless architecture, and a 24/7 langar that serves thousands with seamless execution. Many devotees believe that with the Guru’s blessings, even the toughest illnesses can find relief and healing here. Stepping inside feels like your mind gets a hard reset — clarity, balance, and a sense of collective harmony all in one place.

A divine place. I have almost zero knowledge of Sikhism. But when I stand in th3 queue for 4 hours that is when I felt the presence different energy. I have been to Kashi, Ujjain and every where u have to stand in queue. A lot of pushing touching, but here people are standing together with families but with pure energy and devotion to "Guru"🙏
