I visited this beautiful Buddhist temple in Dehradun and the experience was truly serene. The atmosphere inside is calm and divine, with monks chanting softly while holding their japa malas, creating a peaceful vibration that instantly soothes the mind. The temple complex is very clean, well-maintained, and perfect for spending some quiet, reflective time. The area around the temple is also lively and enjoyable — great for shopping, exploring local handicrafts, and trying delicious Asian cuisine. The monastery has a spacious area and beautiful scenery. I arrived in the late afternoon, so I didn’t have enough time to explore everything. There’s a shoe storage area that charges 3 rupees per pair, but it wasn’t operational when I visited. There are many wooden chairs for visitors to rest. Everything is wonderful.

Mindrolling, means Place of Perfect Emancipation in the Tibetan language. One Monstery of the same name exists in Zhanang County, Shannan Prefecture, Tibet Nice place to learn about Buddhism teachings, fundamentals about stupa. Peaceful place to spend time with yourselves. The huge Stupa, intricate Tibetan architecture, and colorful Prayer flags give a sense of calmness and beauty. We can have experience of the beautiful, peaceful and spiritual enrichment place and many people will do meditation here.

I would like to give 5 star to this monastery. Located at Hill and surrounded by Lush trees make it amazing place. Divine Majestic and Peaceful is the right words to describe Mind-blowing Monastery. It has 3-4 big statues and Stupas. Every Statues has big garden. Its has Budha Study colleges and hostel for students. Its has canteen areas, it has few Shops to buy gifts for your loved one.

Ma anandmayi Ashram is Great place to visit in Haridwar Kankhal. There is a Samadhi Mandir of Maa where you can sit in the hall and meditate and pray and there is also a store where you can find books and many other things about Maa like photographs, mala, idol, dhoti, bracelet and many more things. Also there is general Hall which is open for all day. A very beautiful Aarti is performed in the Samadhi Temple.

We visited Maa Chandi Devi Temple and had a wonderful spiritual and scenic experience. We went up using the ropeway, which was truly enjoyable — the short 5-minute ride offered beautiful views of the mountains and the surrounding greenery. It felt peaceful and refreshing. After reaching the top, we took the blessings of Maa Chandi Devi, and also visited the nearby Hanuman, Anjana Mata, and Santoshi Mata temples. The place has a divine atmosphere, and the entire visit felt serene and fulfilling. Overall, it’s a must-visit place for both spiritual seekers and nature lovers. The combination of the ropeway ride and the temple’s peaceful ambiance makes it a memorable experience.

The ropeway to Chandi Devi Temple offers stunning aerial views of Haridwar, the Ganga river, and surrounding hills. The ride is smooth, safe, and takes just a few minutes to reach the top. A great experience for all age groups and totally worth it for the scenic views alone.

The temple is peaceful and worth visiting, but the overall management is poor. Ropeway waiting time is 1–2 hours and the area is overcrowded. Biggest issue is returning without your own vehicle — auto drivers refuse to go unless their big autos are full, making tourists wait for hours. Strongly recommend visiting only if you have your own transport. We recently visited Chandi Devi Temple in Haridwar and while the temple itself is serene and spiritually uplifting, the overall experience left us disappointed due to poor management around the visit. To reach the temple, you need to take the tram (ropeway) service, but the waiting time is extremely long — anywhere between 1–2 hours. The starting point for the tram is overcrowded, which makes the wait even more uncomfortable. There are some small shops for souvenirs, snacks, and games, but that doesn’t balance the chaos. Once you reach the top, there is a small hike via stairway to the temple. The stairs are divided into two sides — one for going up (which is in good condition) and one for coming down (which is poorly maintained and quite difficult to walk on). All of this could still be manageable, but the biggest problem starts when you have to return to your hotel or onward destination without your own vehicle. The auto drivers outside act like goons — they refuse to take passengers unless their large autos are filled completely, or you hire the entire vehicle even if you’re a single person. When I asked small auto drivers, they said they’re afraid of the big ones as they get threatened or beaten if they pick up customers from there. We ended up waiting more than an hour just to get back, which completely ruined the experience. The temple is worth visiting, but I strongly recommend going with your own vehicle. The authorities really need to step in and resolve this transportation issue, as it’s making tourists suffer unnecessarily.

Robber’s Cave in Dehradun is a naturally beautiful spot—a narrow gorge with a stream running through it—but honestly, it didn’t feel as peaceful as I’d hoped. The place was overcrowded, which took away from its natural charm and made it hard to enjoy the serene vibe I was expecting. The rock formations and cold water are impressive, and it could be a lovely experience if you manage to go at a quiet time. But if you’re looking for a calm, reflective escape or somewhere to just breathe and soak in nature, this isn’t the best choice on busy days

After spending days in the hills, visiting Gucchipani felt like a refreshing little adventure. The place is known for its natural cave formation where a cold stream flows right through the rocks — and walking barefoot in that crystal-clear water is pure fun. As soon as I entered the narrow cave, the temperature dropped and the sound of running water echoed beautifully. Sunlight peeking through the gaps above created a magical vibe. It’s not a long trek, but every step inside feels like walking into nature’s own secret tunnel. The water was icy cold — perfect to beat the heat — and it was amazing to just sit near the waterfall at the end, dip your feet, and let the calmness sink in. Outside, there are a few small cafes serving Maggi, chai, and pakoras — the perfect mountain snack combo after the walk.

The crowd ruined the experience as there was hardly any space to truly appreciate its beauty. The cave was overcrowded, and the water flow was minimal—made worse by the number of people, making even the dirty water hard to see. The ticket price is ₹30 per person. It’s better to go on foot, as the route is not suitable for cars or other vehicles. To enjoy it properly, avoid visiting on weekends or during rainy days.

A beautiful and unique spot in Dehradun! Robbers Cave (Guchhu Pani) is perfect if you enjoy nature and a bit of adventure. Walking through the cold stream between high rock walls is an amazing experience — super refreshing, especially in summer. The place is easy to reach and has basic facilities like changing rooms, lockers, and food stalls nearby. However, it can get quite crowded on weekends and cleanliness could be better. Try to visit early morning for a calmer vibe. Avoid going during heavy rains as the water level rises quickly. Overall, a must-visit place for a short getaway or a fun day with friends and family.

It’s a good natural place to visit in Dehradun. You can walk through the natural caves in the water and if you keep walking in the end you get of caves but can still walk with the stream. There are some spots to jump in and play in the water. Near the entrance there are so many shops selling swim clothes, renting flip flops and providing locker and changing room service. It’s very popular place and hence very crowded. There is plenty of parking space but since it gets crowded it can hard to find a parking spot. I would suggest coming early in the morning to avoid the crowds and also have enough time to explore. The river can be dangerous and is prone to flash floods. Be careful in rainy season and follow the advice of the staff.

It's a very beautiful & amazing place to hang out with your loved ones. Once you enter you'll be mesmerized by it's scenery & you can take dive into the waterfalls. The ticket price is 35rs for adults but the drawback is they only accept cash no option for online, so you better carry the loose money. Entry was smooth as we went there early so there was no rush as such. You have to wear slippers because of the waterfalls. You can rent the slippers as there were many sellers. Kempty Fall is one of the most famous attractions in Mussoorie and a perfect place to enjoy nature’s beauty. A beautiful place to visit, weather it is with your beau, with friends or with your family. The serenity of the place is astonishing. The steps to Kempty falls is not so steep and is easily a short trek. The Kempty falls also provides a Ropeway cable for a price of Rs. 250/- per person (but all in cash) 😐. The snacks and food prices are a little steep but worth the climb. The Kempty falls also features boating area and a Drone camera facilities, on top of this, bathing facility is also there, where one can rent bathing suit for a price and enjoy.

Watching the sunrise in Mussoorie is truly one of the most magical experiences you can have in the hills. As the first light breaks over the mountains, the entire valley glows in shades of orange, pink, and gold — it’s absolutely breathtaking. The cool morning breeze, the chirping of birds, and the peaceful silence make it feel like time stands still for a moment.

Kempty falls is one of the best places to visit in Mussoorie. The water falls from quite a height and is rather a magnificent sight. The waterfall can be accessed by climbing down some 150 steps or by a ropeway. It is a series of falls and can be viewed from different levels. The approach to the fall has large uneven steps and is not well arranged or maintained. But there are a few places where you can bathe in the collected water. There are some food stalls around and you can sit and eat with your feet dangling in the cool water. 30-45 minutes should be enough to visit the place. Highly recommended.

Lal Tibba cafe is just ordinary.... The view from above is just unbelievable... If it's clear sky, it's a must go place... Landour Bakehouse is must visit.... Superb taste and good ambience.... If u travelling by ur own bike or car... U will experience the most fantastic road and views ever......

The name Lal Tibba means "Red Hill", it is the highest point in Mussoorie. From here, you can get a great view of the surrounding peaks. It is located at the top of Landour and is a popular tourist destination. It is a great place for picnic. The peak is beautiful and the surroundings are scenic. The best time to visit the Lal Tibba is during sunset or sunrise. Located at an elevation of about 2,275 m (7,464 ft), If you are looking to view the Himalayas from afar, Lal Tibba is the perfect spot for viewing the majestic range.

Coffee lovers, beware—their brew was overly sweet and not customizable. There's a ₹50 entry fee to access the upper deck, which is redeemable against your order. However, it's charged per person and must be adjusted against individual items. So, if you're a group of three, you’ll need to order three separate dishes to redeem the full amount. 🌥️ Viewpoint Experience Unfortunately, the Himalayan range wasn’t clearly visible during my visit. For the best views—especially of peaks like Kedarnath, Badrinath, and Banderpoonch—plan your trip around November when the skies are clearer. The viewing area upstairs is quite cramped, especially during peak hours, and the much-advertised binoculars are disappointingly blurry. A small three storied structure may be 250 sq ft each floor ground + 2 right on the cliff side with a binoculars installed at the top floor which is an open sitting area. The entrance charge is 50 rs per person which is adjusted against any food order that you place. The view is awesome as it's one of the highest points of Mussoorie. The hot food too was quite good, though you don't have much choice. The shop downstairs from where you enter has spices, honey, bee polen, etc kept for sale.

Lal Tibba is the highest point in Mussoorie and offers breathtaking views of the valley. The cafe has an entry fee of ₹50/- per head but it can be redeemed in your food bill. There is a telescope on the terrace and you can have your food enjoying the scenery. The food was limited to momos, sandwich, pizza, shakes,etc. and was a bit pricey. The Black coffee with honey was great . There is some local produce like red rice, bee pollen and rock salt for sale. Private residences of some celebrities are also located here. The normal road to Lal Tibba usually gets blocked and traffic is diverted by a very narrow and precarious road. Worth spending 1-2 hours there.

Beautiful place and must visit if you visit mussoorie, they offer great service and memorable experience for a life time. Place get very busy during day. They charge 50 rupees per person as a entry fees and you can use it when you order something from them, which is very reasonable as everyone wants to get inn and place is very small. Very very old temple of around third century. Remains are taken by archaeology department in 2007. Here we can see the Shiva lingas of threta yoga and dwapar Yug. It is supposed that Pandavas lakshagraha aur wax palace was built here. Guha that they escape is still seeing here. Places very historical important. the remaininga are excavated more and more at every visit. Is places situated kilometres away from barcot towards Mussoorie. The yamunotri pilgrims rarely understand presents of this Marvelous temple.

Lakhamandal is a remarkable site where mythology and history come alive. Believed to be the place where the Pandavas built over a lakh Shivlings to atone for their sins, it also marks the spot where Duryodhana tried to burn them alive. Now managed by the ASI, the site regularly yields fascinating archaeological finds. According to local lore, it houses four Shivlings representing each Yug—white (Satyug), green (Tretayug), red (Dwapar), and black (Kalyug). A must-visit for history lovers and spiritual seekers alike.

Very Very beautiful complex. Overwhelmed to know about its historical importance, which - sadly - is not much known. The day we visited, the Community there was doing the प्राण प्रतिष्ठा of a new Kali Mata Mandir. Blessed to have witnessed this. People on the Char Dham Yatra must visit here.

If you are going to yamunotri from dehradun or musdoorie then on the route you can visit this place. This place has great mythological significance. The laksha griha for pandavas was built in this place, the escape tunnel foe pandavas, residing cave for pandavas are still present here. Main attraction is the ancient shiva temple. Most of the yamunotri yatris dont know about this place so avoid it but in my opinion this is a must visit place indeed...

It takes really long to reach but the destination was awesome and so peaceful. It has a great significance of the historical period in relation to Pandavas and Mahabharata. It's recommended that you better have a safe drive to this destination as the roads are really dangerous. Better to take a car as on 2-wheeler it's an exhausting journey.

I have vitnessed almost all famous aartis of GANGAJI at Haridwar and Rishikesh during the trip but Aarti at Triveni Ghat is One of the best Gangaji Aarti I have. View of Sunset is just refreshing. And only Aarti where everyone is allowed to do Aarti at Free of cost by the management. Management themselves provide Aarti thalis to many people and they shares thalis with each other so each and everyone can enjoy and participate at Aarti. And story doesn't ends here, Bhajan starts after Aarti and surely you will get goosebumps if you have vitnessed the joy. In short don't miss it if you are visiting Haridwar and Rishikesh.

Truly one of the best spiritual experiences of my life. Felt divine and calm attending the Ganga Aarti here. Too much crowded and if you need good places to sit, consider reaching there early. After Ganga Aarti you can sit at the ghats enjoying the peace and serenity.

Its a amazing experience to see ganga aarti there. Ghat is also good and clean. Maybe ut could be little bit crowded depending on any special occasion. But still it look peaceful.

Well managed. Entry is started at 5 pm for the Arti at 6 pm. Orderly queue is started at 5. People pay to offer 'special' puja, and they're allowed to/ are conducted fpr puja before the Aarti begins. It's well choreographed. Quite a spectacle.

Recommended visit time needed approx 2hrs. Costs for foreigners is 1200 rupi. Located in a white corner of the mountain. Very interesting to see where the Beatles spent some time connecting to there inner self escaping all the worldly noise. You just walk around and feel the peace. Birds chirping. You see the bungalow where the Beatles stayed. You see a small gallery with a bunch of photos of the Beatles in the ashram. There is a Small canteen where you can buy drinks and lunch.

I finally visited this place on my third trip to Rishikesh. I had high expectations, but I left a bit disappointed. The road leading to the ashram is quite tricky and feels more like off-roading. There are no proper guidelines or directions about where to go first—you just end up wandering around the ashram. The place is huge, and the meditation domes made from river stones are quite interesting. Apart from that, there’s a small gallery near the canteen displaying photos from when the Beatles actually visited the ashram. Overall, I feel the ₹200 entry fee isn’t justified. With better maintenance and proper guidance, the experience would definitely be worth it.

The ruins of an old ashram in Rishikesh. You can spent around 2 hours to see it around. The stone caves for medition built of the hand picked pebbles from Ganga river is the highlight here. It's not well maintained though. It's part of s tiger reserve now.

It's actually the chauras kutiya near Janki Jhula , and timings are till 3pm so one should know this everywhere it's mentioned incorrect, which wasted our time. Also there is a very- damn- best - beautiful view point at the end of the trail. You will reach there just go till the last. Bring physical ids, adhaar and student id.

Looking for the perfect spot to relax a while around the Gange river, then this is something I would suggest. Just near the Ram Ghula, you would find the Ganga Mandir. Have the darshan and you would find the place where I had captured this photo.

Ram Jhula is one of the most visited places in Rishikesh. It's the way to Famous Ashrams like Parmarth Niketan, Geeta Bhawan, Beatles Ashram. Also you can go to taxi stand for Neelkanth Mahadev and also paidal marg for the same. It has beautiful ghats for Maa Ganga Snan. Very scenic in evening and night. Also breeze in the night on this bridge is very calm and serene. Best month to visit Rishikesh and Ram Jhula is October and November. Please do not litter on these Holy places. Be kind to all. I went ther recently with my friends to enjoy the weekend. We booked our hotel near ramjhula to enjoy the ganga view,also rafting and more adventure activities. As we know about ramjhula Ram Jhula is a long hanging bridge in Rishikesh built over the holy Ganga River. It connects two sides of the town and is used by people walking, cycling, and visiting temples. When you stand on the bridge, you can see the clear water, green mountains, and colorful boats. The wind feels cool and fresh. Many tourists come here every day to enjoy the calm environment. In the evening, the lights around the bridge make it look even more beautiful and peaceful. It is a famous place to visit.

The most bustling place in Rishikesh where you need to visit once you visit Rishikesh. It's the suspension bridge and most of the famous ashrams are situated on either side of the Ganges once you cross the bridge. You can enjoy boating in the Ganges also, which is near this suspension bridge. There are plenty of eateries nearby where you can have lunch or quick bites. Visit with adequate amount of time for optimum enjoyment.

When you will just cross Ram Jhula, turn left side (instead of right)100 meter, a beautiful view is waiting for you.you will find benches on the bank of Ganga or you go down on sand beach. Opposite to benches economic and good guest houses are available @₹700-₹3500. If you want go to some crowded place or market then turn right from Ram Jhula. There you may participate in ganga aarti, shoping, fooding, tea, coffee, etc. Yes, walking around is nice, when you reach Laxman jhula must enjoy Honey-ginger lemon tea.

Hanging bridge joints left bank of Ganga River to Right bank where Swargashram is situated. In Rishikesh it's about 500 metres long and 10 feet width. The trek not too long and properly paved can be steep in some places so recommended to take frequent breaks if your not used to the trekking. There is a option for cable cart but it was not operation during the time we visited (Mid Aug). At the top the air feels fresh and very calm.

The view from the top was just breathtaking – mountains covered in mist and the sky slowly turning golden. When the bells started ringing and the aarti began, it gave me goosebumps. Sitting there, with nature all around and the sound of prayers, it was truly mast and unforgettable

We took ropeway as we were with Senior Citizens. Also the trekking is difficult. Taking Ropeway is also time saving. It's so peaceful above and literally above the clouds. Amazing experience.

Because as I look straight to the beautiful view I see the mountain on which this beautiful and famous temple situated. I often visit this place a year or 2 from my childhood. Wow awesome atmosphere, have good time while travelling

One of the most turbulent rivers in Uttarakhand, legend has it that the force of the waters was tempered by allowing the waters to fall into Lord Shiva's locks of hair before merging with the ground. The sound of its waters can be heard from quite a distance and bathing in its ice-cold waters (in any season) is one of the most revelatory experiences. I bathed in its waters just before its confluence with the Alakananda at Devprayag. I cannot imagine a second say to five star for the pious turbulant religious river. I took bath at performing asthi vishrarjan at Sangam at Deveprayag with Alaknanda. Some of the most fabulous times of my life. Vibes are ultimate.

It's a holy and beautiful river of uttarakhand and it's origin is from Gaumukh glacier. It's water is so cold and it form river Ganga at devprayag joining with alaknanda.

It's the highest dam in India and one of the tallest in the world, standing at 260.5 meters. The dam is part of a multi-purpose project. We are so excited to visit there and it's really an amazing experience.

I am very interested in visiting the Tehri Dam and seeing it for myself. While it serves as a source of electricity and water management, it is also utilized by Uttarakhand tourism as a location for adventure. There are many boating activities available. I have observed visitors thoroughly enjoying themselves while participating in activities such as jet skiing and motor boating.

A very very nice place for enjoying water adventure activities!! Some people consider it as mini maldives. It’s about 110 km from Dehradun and 70 kms from rishikesh.. The way to tehri is very much amazing. It’s located ahead narendra nagar.. i love the views in the way🤟🏻 One issue in water activities is with water flyboard.. it’s cost is 3500 for 10 minutes. They provide well trained guide with a person less than 50 kgs. Above 50 kgs person have to perform that on ur own, and that’s unable to fly.. We tried and failed, and we seen many people getting fail from performing that activity correctly! So try on ur own risk..

Located near St Mary's church, chances are you might miss its entrance due to it being very subtle on the road side. But once you reach here, the ambience is quite classic with an amazing view outside the windows too. Food is of good quality, but priced on a higher side. A must visit for Lansdowne trip!

Absolutely loved this place! The moment I stepped in, I was blown away by the vintage decor and cozy, artistic vibe. Every corner is packed with character — from retro radios to quirky furniture and beautiful wall art, it’s like stepping into a creative time capsule. What made the experience even better? The food was absolutely delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and served with care — I couldn’t stop eating! Review as of June 14: This place is 200 meters from St Mary's church. It is definitely a must visit and the best cafe in town. As you enter the cafe you can't help but notice antique things that adorn the shelves, quirky furniture. You are greeted by a warm smile and given a hand written menu. It is full of stories - Eg Anupam Kher visited them and gave them recipe of his favourite French Toast and its part of the menu They employ locals and encourage visitors to speak in Hindi so that they can understand. Service is awesome I liked the fact that whenever a celebrity visits them they actually put a paper taped to the chair with the name of the celebrity The view from the Window is breath taking. Simply wow. They have two super healthy and big roosters I had their Pizza and Chicken Momos and it was delicious and filling. Do visit them, int would be a highlight of your visit.

This café is truly a gem — probably the only good one in Lansdowne. We were a group of 16, and they do take pre-bookings, which worked out perfectly. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the food? Absolutely fantastic. I think we ordered almost everything on the menu, and not a single dish disappointed us. The café isn't just about the food — it’s about the whole experience. They genuinely want every guest to enjoy it to the fullest, which is why arriving on time for your booking is important (and totally fair). Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Lansdowne. Very bad Food. Menu is hand written but the price as per food quality is really bad. We as guests at their cafe found owner who was sitting at counter on the left when enter the cafe Mr. amit bit rude and unpleasant. He continues to make face when we requested cold coffee to be less sweet and pasta to have little more veggies. To place the order one have to go to Mr Amit table which is fine but he is not guest friendly person and restrict the people when they r chatting slowly in their group on food table. There are much better food options in lansdown. This cafe needs to look into hospitality warmness and good food options with reasonable pricing.

The uttarkasi Vishwanath temple is a historical place of immense importance for devotees... One can feel the Devine presence of lord shiva and feel his blessings on us... The clean premises and old pagoda style architecture is a visual treat...

Kashi Vishwanath Temple is a very ancient temple of Uttarkashi Mahadev and I like it very much, it gives peace and here is Shakti Temple as well which is a very old temple, only the one who touches it with true desire and devotion can move it and the one who does not touch it with a true heart cannot move that arrow.

We visited this temple while we were travelling to Gangotri. This temple is situated on the bank of the river Bhagirathi in Uttarkashi. We stayed a full day in Uttarkashi and during evening hours we did Darshan. Before Darshan we were blessed with Aarti between 6-6.30 pm. Nice to see the involvement of devotees during Aarti. Was happy after seeing the discipline maintained by Lady Police staff. It was a nice visit.

Deoriatal trek starts from Sari village. Its a very beautiful place surrounded by lush green oak trees and this place has multiple food outlets . These outlets have a waiting time of minimum 15-20 mins when highly crowded. We went on 20th March 2022.

Auli ropeway or Gondola is the worth having experience when you're in Auli. It's an open flying trolley that takes you to the top and you witness breathtaking mountain views. Price per person is Ra.500/- only. You can do several snow adventure activities like Skiing, sledging, trekking etc when you reach the top.

Its the most unique experience. Ropeway costs 1000 and 500 for chair car incase you have reservations. Its a 25 min ride and the most enticing experience. You can see all snow tops. Beautiful scenery. . Tickets for ropeway gets booked easily and it closes by 4. So keep your timelines scheduled.

The longest ropeway in India.A full 25 minutes of hanging over some of the most picture-postcard perfect locales ever. We took it a total of four times during our five days stay there. The staff is helpful the gondola has a standing-only place and in case you want to go to the Auli ski resort you get down at a pillar before the end and take a rickety lift six floors down and then take the ski lift to the resort. The experience of sitting with your legs dangling and nothing but a bar between you and everything else around you ( in the ski lift) is like being in another world altogether. Even if you are not booked into one of the resorts in joshi math, please take this trip up to auli . It's worth every minute and every rupee sent on it

Nice place to visit. It’s very beautiful to visit both in winter and off winter. There are variety of flowers in this place. They looks so mesmerizing. After the rope way we took mule ride to see flowers. It was so beautiful. One must visit.

We went there but couldn't experience it. It's very important to get online booking done if you are choosing a crowded day like new year. Also, the offline booking portal opens at 9 am. So if you haven't got online ticket, try buying it offline early morning.

The true beauty of this place can be enjoyed only during peak winter that's when the entire area is covered in snow and winter sports like 🎿 is very popular. If the sky is clear and visibility is good then you would be able to see some of the peaks. Coming back to the ropeway it's a joy ride for sure but on the expensive side. The counter accepts payment in cash only (as usual in most part of UK and UP). Be aware that though there is a departure and return schedule the cable car won't take off until they have 20-25 people. The ground staff will ask you to enjoy pakoda and wait for your turn. The ride it self is good and takes ~ 21 mins one-way. After reaching the peak you can roam around and enjoy the view , take a pony ride or simply sit back and enjoy pakoda again :-).

This ropeway has two places to board. One is from Joshimath which is closed cabin and you have to go standing and maximum people allowed in cabin ropeway taxi is 25 people. This ropeway taxi goes at the maximum altitude of 10200 feet from where you can view Nandadevi, Trishul, Hathi ghoda Palki and many more peaks. Another ropeway to board is from Auli, which is open sitting seats and four people can sit on it.

Lord Parshuram, an avatar of Lord Vishnu, bathed in the water of Saraswati River to repent for the sin of killing tyrant Kshatriyas. King Pururava, mentioned in Mahabharata, met his to-be-wife Urvashi near the banks of the Saraswati River. Not only the war of Mahabharata was fought near the Saraswati River, its recital also happened near the banks Sarswati river is said to be disappeared nowadays but in the first Village of mana you can see the origin of Saraswati river. White water running between the cliff, the sound of it gives you emmense pleasure just by watching and listening it. It is said to be a story that when sage ved vyas quoting the Mahabharata and lord yis writting, sarswati river is flowing with a lot of sound. Ved Vyas asked sarswati to make less noise as it is disturbing him but she did not listen. So ved vyas told her to be disappeared from the world and she did. The river is so beautiful although small but the water seems different more religious and more spiritual.

The place is not fully developed from earlier. Now you will find many shops just after mana parking. The place is quite crowded as there is very small area at main point. Overall place it worth to visit it. You will find Sarasvati temple and river. Temple is also converted to big temple which is attraction point. I would recommend everyone to visit at least once if you are coming yo Badrinath. You need to walk for approx 1km from parking.

There is a Saraswati temple near the Saraswati river and Bhim pul in Mana village. We need to trek for about 500m from car park. Also swarga rohini arch is found nearby from where the Pandavas went to swarga. We didn't go beyond this point as the locals suggested that it would be difficult for us to manage.
