Beutifully carved and well maintained. It's just behind jami masjid and only small steps are provided through jami masjid for this place. So I have to look carefully otherwise I may miss this place. It resembles tajmahal. Architecture is like mixed hindu and Persian type. There are many small tombs inside.

Jal mahal or the water villa/ palace is a short walk from the Jahaz Mahal. One could take the flight of stairs down from Jahaz and walk your way through to Jal mahal. The walkway is apparently run down and needs maintenance. We could see broken stairs, uneven surface and lack of signages to reach the mahal. As we were already exhausted, we did not venture into Jal mahal, but had a glimpse from atop the Jahaz mahal and it was fabulous. Your ticket to Jahaz mahal includes a visit to Jal mahal as well and the place is closed on Mondays.

It is believed to be build for entertainment by the king to have good time in his haram. This is around 60 km from Indore in Mandu town. There are other monuments in town as well. It is maintained by ASI and have a fee of Rs 25 per person.

It's a good picnic spot for indorians, but it's good until you keep your self safe. After rain the fall becomes attractive.Now a days so many shops are there to fulfill the needs of public travelling to it.

Amazing place for a short picnic. Few food stalls available but beware of monkeys. Amazing view points. Water flow was high in October 2025. I reached Mhow Railway and took a to and fro auto for 500 Rs. Do bargain. However if you have own vehicle its much easier.

It is a very picturesque spot, especially in monsoon when the water gushes down the 200-foot deep gorge. The view is very scenic when the sun sets. A good place for a nice trekking or camping activity also. People should rake efforts to keep the area clean. Beware of monkeys as they can be troublesome sometimes. Adequate parking space is available. It is also a historical spot to commemorate the heroics of Tantya Bheel against the British.

It's a beautiful place, lack of maintenance. Full of trash and junk. And I understand some people trying to make money out of visitors, with photographers set up and occupied all the spot and chats Dukan. They make the place miserable loud , noisy and dirty. The falls do not allow you to travel to the bottom anymore so lost a lot of charm. You only get to see it from far and are surrounded by street vendors. There is not many covered spaces to hide from the sun. Hardly an adventure spot and definitely not an interesting tourist spot as it only has one thing to see.

Natural water fall at village tincha (near till or and Ralamandal).time to visit in July to September. You can get tea, bhutta and readymade namkins only.

My experience was quite good, but to get there you first need to bargain with the auto drivers. They will ask for ₹100, but you should only give them ₹20. They will tell you that the gate charges parking fees, but in reality, the parking is only ₹10. The place is not very far from the gate, so you can also go by walking. As for inside, you won’t find drinking water there, so it’s better to carry your own water bottle. The entry ticket is just ₹20. There isn’t much special inside the palace. However, it’s a nice place for couples—it’s peaceful, surrounded by forest, and you can sit quietly and talk. But if you are going with your family, then you won’t really find it that enjoyable.

Lal Bagh Palace is one of the most fascinating heritage gems in Indore, and my visit here was an unexpectedly rich experience. The moment you step inside the massive iron gates, imported from London and said to be inspired by those of Buckingham Palace, you instantly feel the grandeur of the Holkar era. The palace was built in phases between 1886 and 1921 by the Holkar rulers, mainly by Tukoji Rao Holkar II and III, and it served as one of their important residences. Knowing that you are walking through the same corridors where the Holkar royal family lived makes the visit even more special. The interiors are the real showstopper. The palace has a strong European architectural influence, especially Italian and French styles. The grand ballroom, with its large Belgian mirrors and ornate decorations, is absolutely breathtaking. One interesting fact I loved learning about is that the ballroom’s floor was designed with springs inside so that it would vibrate with the rhythm of the music during royal dances something truly ahead of its time. Another surprising feature is the European-style elevator, which was installed more than a century ago! Seeing such engineering in a palace of that era is genuinely impressive. The walls, furniture, chandeliers, and artwork, all reflect the luxurious lifestyle of the Holkars. Every room seems to preserve a piece of history. The palace also sits on a beautiful 28-acre estate, and although some areas outside could use better maintenance, the overall charm is still intact. The museum section displays old photographs, royal artifacts, weapons, and personal belongings that give insight into the Holkar dynasty’s cultural legacy. What I personally found most interesting is that Lal Bagh Palace used to host major diplomatic and royal gathering, it wasn’t just a residence but a symbol of Indore’s power, culture, and openness to global influences.

This is a grand palace with a lot of European architectural influence. But it has its own pros and cons. Pros: Beautiful architecture and high ceilings (I really like buildings with high ceilings). Massive garden area in the premises. And since Indore doesn’t have a lot to offer, you can visit this to pass time. Cons: It’s under renovation for restoration work. Most of the palace is inaccessible. There is not much to see with what is accessible. If you have visited a lot of museums and palaces, you won’t enjoy it at all. Ticket price is only Rs 20 pp.

I am disappointed and feeling cheated. The Lalbagh Palace is under renovation but they didn't tell me this before I bought the high priced ticket (400) for foreigners. Only a few ground floor rooms are accessible, other ones are closed. The garden is poorly maintained and littered, the toilet is broken and dirty. When I asked why the renovation wasn't mentioned, they said it is written. Yes, in Hindi. Why they couldn't write that two words: "Under renovation" in English? Waste of money and time. This high entry fees for foreigners, the constant discrimination, will not develop the international tourism.

Lalbagh Palace at Indore was built by the Holkar Dynasty. The Holkars resided in the palace up to 1978. After the demise of Tukojirao Holkar(III), his granddaughter Usha Raje set up a trust to look after the estate. Later, it was brought under the control of State Government. It is a lovely palace to visit and has some beautifully decorated rooms which are very similar in architecture to what you see in Windsor palace. So whenever you are planning a trip to Indore, do visit this iconic Palace, and fall in love with its wonderful architecture. Owing to its real royal feel, Lal Bagh Palace has remained one of the favourite Bollywood shooting location. Many movies like Kalank, Singh Saab the Great and Mahal (Tamil Movie) have been shot in the palace. Date visited : 22.10.2025

I recently got a chance to revisit Kaanch Mandir on the auspicious occasion of Dhoop Dashmi, and it was an absolutely divine experience. The temple, made entirely of glass and mirrors, looks stunning on any day but on Dhoop Dashmi, with beautifully crafted Mandal Ji, its beauty and spiritual glow were truly beyond words. The temple is located in the main market area, so I’d recommend visiting by public transport or two-wheeler for convenience, as parking space is limited. If you’re in Indore, this sacred place is a must-visit - the artistry here is truly a masterpiece. – Muskan 🙏

A beautiful temple which is a must see to admire how beautiful glass work is used to make this. They don't allow photography in to maintain the decorum of the place. They are very strict about it too.

It is 110 years old Jain mandir belonging to Digamber jain sect. Totally made of glass. Photography inside the temple is not permitted. Timing from 10.30am to 5PM. No entry fee. Inside there are deities of Shanti Nath jain, Digambar Jain. Located in the market area. Peaceful.

One of the best kaanch ka temple i have ever seen. Kaach Mandir is a stunning Jain temple near Dhanvantri Mandir, beautifully adorned with glasswork and mirrors. Amazing Mandir. The Garb Gruh is on the ground floor and there's a Sabhamandap on the upper floor where Satsang sabha is there every Sunday evening. The campus also features a guesthouse, with 20 AC rooms for the convenience of travellers. There's also a Dining Hall within the Main building itself. Mandir is very nicely decorated with Parks around it. There's a well established community which attends the Sabha every weekend, and they are nice to talk to. Worth a visit

The temple has a wonderful archway and beautifully designed premises with other small temples as well. Overall, it was a peaceful and spiritual experience — definitely a must-visit in Indore.

Witnessed the traditional lighting of oil lamps at Shree Harsiddhi Mata Temple in Ujjain. At the entrance of the temple are two large lamp towers with hundreds of lamps. At around 6:30 pm every evening these lamps are lit by temple staff. They climb up the oily lamp tower and all these lamps are lit within around 3 minutes. Must be some sort of a record. The place is next to Ujjain Mahakaal temple and gets crowded around 30 minutes before the start of the event, as it is very popular among tourist who visit Ujain. Around 1 minute 20 seconds into the video, you will notice how fast the staff is lighting up the oil lamps. Remember the temple itself is many centuries old and its history is linked to Emperor Vikramaditya. The oil tower is itself slippery because of all the oil.

a must-visit when you're in ujjain. the ghat is spacious and has a calm vibe. we went both in the morning and evening, and surprisingly it was not too crowded even though it was a weekend. if you're planning to take a dip, morning is the best time. it is quiet and relaxing but the water isn’t very clean, so go in with that awareness. we also attended the evening aarti, which was quite immersive. i would definitely recommend just sitting by the river for a while. it is the kind of place where you can slow down and really feel the energy of mahakal.

Brathari Cave is a nice place to visit if you enjoy history and spirituality. The atmosphere is peaceful, but the cave is not very well maintained and facilities are limited. It’s good for a short visit, but not something that stands out as a must-see.

Caves are ok. They are very small. Do not rush into the caves when lot of people are there. It get a bit suffocating when too many people. Be patient and wait for your turn. The more calm and composed you are the more fun you will have.

There is a temple of Goddess Kali near a village called Gadh, 5 kilometers away from Ujjain. It is known as Gadh Kalika. It is considered one of the 51 Shaktipeeths. Here, the lips of Goddess Sati fell. The great poet Shri Kalidasa successfully attained his scholarly skills through true devotion to Goddess Kalika. Later, Kalidasa composed some of the best works of Sanskrit literature like Meghdoot, Abhigyannasakuntalam, Raghuvansham and Shakuntala. The temple has a high status of Lord Ganesha. I visited this mandir on 23rd of june. At that time there is renovation work is going on. I visited this place while i was going to mahakaleshwar jyotirlinga. As per pundit this is the centre of India and this is the birth place of Mangal dev who is also known as mangla garah or mars planet. Mangal dosh can be removed by worshipping here. From main gat to front of the mandir is clean, but when you came from other side to front there is rocks and palette which can poke or hurt your foot. In mandir ther is 4 or 5 place of worship or say pundits are sitting, in which shiva linga, Mangal bhagwan, Hanuman bhagwan etc. Can be worshipped and on all places there is pandit who is mantra chanting while you go there. Outside it there is shops of parshad and flowers and other things. They have settings with auto drivers and auto drivers took you to them as they got there commissions for it. And they are selling things in basket set and they are not giving you one or 2 thing by saying no in this mandir all these things required. Aside of it there is river.

It's a very good place to get blessings and make sure to visit nearby places like.. Sandipani Ashram and vishnu sagar. Temple management and Ujjain development authority should focus on cleaning the water which is getting bad day by day as cleaning process is not to be seen but people are dumping pooja leftovers there..

Initially I don't believe in traditional rituals, but later in life I realize the importance of such things. I got to know about this website during a google-search. It is a very informative website. Later, we contacted Pandit Vijay Bharti Ji, to discuss about the Kundli matching and Mangal Dosh Shanti Pujan. He also performed the Puja for us, and now we realize the effects of such pooja. Sankhya Sagar, also written as Sakhya Sagar, is a lake in Shivpuri & also a Ramsar site. It is an artificial lake as it was created on River Manier in 1918. The Sagar is spread across a huge area & maintains the ecological balance of the Madhav National Park. It has a mix of marsh & riverine fishes as well as marsh crocodiles. One side of the lake is a hill. It looks lovely specially when it reflects the changing sky colors. Though, its few parts were layered with invasive water hyacinth. Given how critical it is to the overall biodiversity of the area, the authorities must look into this.

It is joined with the Madhav National Park and; offers a nice scenic and photogenic view.

The lake looks stunningly beautiful at dusk when it reflects the changing colors of the sky. There is a boat club on the shores of the lake. The boat club is a very delicate structure and has glass panels. The boat club is connected to the Sakhya Sagar Lake by a broad pier. If you stand on the deck you are sure to be overwhelmed by the beauty of the scene in front of your eyes. The vast stretch of water and beyond it the Vindhyachal hills with their dense forest cover looks absolutely stunning

This historical fort lies in an excellent condition, thanks to the ASI. However the surrounding area is encroached upon by the villagers because of which the last 100 meters section of the road is filled with cow dung and mud. There's a small parking space. The whole fort was empty when we visited. The monument has been renovated and restored by ASI. The pathways are properly marked and the site was clean as well. There are few temples in ruined state along with a Hindu monastery. You can visit this when traveling from Shivpuri to Jhansi.

Located off the Shivpuri – Jhansi Road is the Survaya ki Garhi. It is an ancient fortress which housed a Hindu monastery in the olden days. We visited on a Monday morning; the ruins were empty of crowds then. After parking our car, we entered via a circuitous route through stone walls. This was followed by a path in between two gardens and having a board that talked about the Garhi. The monastery & the temples were built first. The monastery also had an ‘overall auspiciousness’ temple on its roof. The fortress was built later, in the 11th-12th century, presumably to protect the monastery & the temples. As per the inscriptions, the monastery was linked to the Shaiva sect. it was originally a two – storeyed building though the upper storey now survives only partially. The Scindias renovated it when they ruled over these parts. The whole premises are built out of stone. While there is no ticket, you do have to make entries into a register. The temples are three in number. Though all of them have lost their ‘shikhar’ now, they are still sights to behold. The most prominent one was the Shiva Temple. This ancient Temple is lovely with its carvings worth seeing. In front of it, broken pieces that were excavated, but which could not be put together, are displayed on the ground, giving the viewer a sense of what architecture existed then. To the right of the Shiva Temple are a stepwell & an elevated platform. Bougainvillea plants, with their gay flowers, completed the picture perfectness of the Garhi. We then explored the monastery, climbing also onto its first floor. The stairs are narrow & steep; so, caution has to be exercised. The first floor gave a stupefying view of the premises. The ground floor had small, dark rooms around a sunlit courtyard. The Survaya ki Garhi does need proper roads leading up to it. A cleanliness drive is required too as the penultimate areas are splashed with cow dung. Even though it’s maintained by the ASI, it can be really puckered up to attract more sightseers, like having guides or more inscriptions.

Must visit for the people who love ancient indian architecture. These masterpieces of ancient Indian art & architecture that lie unexplored by most of the tourists and locals of the city. Despite having existed in the area for centuries together,the brilliant archaeological site of surwaya wasn’t known and acknowledged unitl fairly recently.

It's a Fort with very old Stone Carved Temples inside. The stone carvings on the temple is very intricate and mesmerising. The whole campus takes you back in time. Very good landscaped area outside. It also houses a Monastery inside with a lovely courtyard. This is not a hill Fort hence the wall of the Fort is very well made and spread in a large area. This is very close to Shivpuri and Scindia Chatri. Worth a visit. No guides available here but the history of the Fort and Temples is mentioned on the name plate outside the main gate.

It is a Heritage site. An ancient religious teaching centre . The site is very good but there is no facilities for food and other kind of things no security is available for the tourist that is very disappointing to me. Nearby village boys irritate much and misbehave .

The path to the temples is well-maintained. It is a very peaceful and calming place for someone who believes in religion.

Sonagiri digamber jain tirth is situated in datia district of Madhya Pradesh. It's small village with 127+ temples on mountain and around 27 temples on ground with 5+ dharmshala with all basic necessities. Mountain is well maintained and very beautiful new temple are under construction stage.

If you are really looking for peace then you should definitely visit this place. There are group of temples and each one has its own significance. You can come here and spend some quality time, doing meditation. There was no cost or ticket price here. It’s in a small hill in MP.

A total of 77 jain temples are there on the mountain. Many Dharmshala's to stay beneath the hill and around 28 temples in each dharmshala's. Very calm and mesmerizing place. Recommend to visit this place in the monsoon or winter time. Because of too much hotness after walking on the hill towards each temple.

Peaceful place, as of now not many people visiting so it's clean and nice. People are good and nice to talk and give instructions. View is amazing from. Not too much steep except a few area but you will enjoy the visit. Definitely go to place if visiting Maa pitambara Datiya, it is hardly 15 kms.

One of the most beautiful Jain temples. This is a fantastic site to visit, especially during the monsoon season with so many peacocks and bird melodies, the environment is calm and peaceful. This is a holy and peaceful place. A wonderful location where every single thing is holy. Lord Chandraprabhu is the most notable person associated with this location. This is a must-see location, as the air is quite relaxing. One of Jain's most popular pilgrimages.
