Today I visited the Ellora Caves, and honestly, it was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. The place is absolutely stunning, a true masterpiece carved out of solid rock centuries ago. There are 34 caves in total, each with its own unique carvings, sculptures, and stories. What really blew my mind was the Kailasa Temple (Cave 16), which is carved entirely from a single massive rock. Just imagining the amount of time, effort, and creativity that must have gone into it left me speechless. Walking through the caves, I could actually feel the blend of Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain cultures that coexisted here. The artwork on the walls, the detailed pillars, and the peaceful atmosphere make it feel like stepping back in time. It’s not just a tourist spot, it’s a living piece of history. The surroundings are also beautiful, with cliffs, greenery, and a calm breeze that adds to the charm. If you ever visit Maharashtra, I’d totally recommend spending a day here. It’s more than just sightseeing; it’s an experience that makes you appreciate how incredible human creativity and devotion can be.

The Kailasa Temple at Ellora Caves is a stunning, singular attraction, famous for being entirely carved from a single rock of the mountain. One of the 12 jyotirlingas of lord Shiva. Really crowded on weekends, better to visit early to have a peaceful darshan. Male devotees need to remove their upper clothes before entering the temple. The security can be improved a bit. Mobiles are allowed but videography and photography are prohibited. I recommend not to fall for locals offering to help in the darshan queue. They just take you and leave before the temple entrance which is unofficially done. Men are allowed to go in and touch the lingam but women must stay behind the barricade positioned and take the blessings and offer prayers.

I had a very devotional and peaceful experience at Shri Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple. The atmosphere was filled with divine energy, and getting Sparsh Darshan before 6 AM made it even more special and spiritual. Tomb of Malik Amber Born in Harar (Ethiopia) in 1548, sold as a slave in Yemen in his teens,brought to the slave market of Baghdad, where he was sold again to Mecca, and from there his master brought him to Deccan where he was sold to peshwa of sultanate of Ahmednagar. When his master died,he was freed by his master's wife and he went on to join Nizam Shahi's Army. With his skill and knowledge he harnessed a mercenary army of almost 50,00 soldiers and resisted the Mughal invasion and eventually became a full-fledged military General. But his real legacy exists as the founder of the city Khadki( which is the present Aurangabad named after Mughal Aurangazeb). Also building a canal system which still brings in water to the interior of the city. He was a patron of art and culture and promoted it. He died in 1626 and was buried here . The tomb of the man who should be credited as the initial maker of this city lie neglected in a corner with just a plaque mentioning it as a protective monument under ASI.

This is the last place where you will encounter any tourist - in the otherwise popular tourist destination of Aurangabad. It attracts only few locals and people like me who is interested to know and see places that somehow influenced the course of our country. Malik Ambar was one such person who lies buried here but has changed and contributed much of what is today's Aurangabad or then Khirki. People can Google about him (a dedicated Wikipedia page exist). For those interested - * It is marked correctly in Google Maps * While following Google Maps, a small stretch, looks like you are heading nowhere but trust the maps * It is in Khuldabad and can be visited while travelling to or from Ellora. * The Tomb is fairly maintained but needs repairs (not sure whether it is under ASI or locals managed it). One can see Persian influence in the intricate jaali works (badly damaged though) When we visited, the lone guard was quite surprised to see us and said no one visits this tomb. I felt it is as if Malik Ambar is saying - no one remembers me.

Lakhuji Jadhavrao, Maloji Bhosale, Shahaji Bhosale, Ranoji Wable and other Maratha chiefs had gained great prominence during this period. With the help of these Maratha chiefs, Malik Ambar had captured Ahmednagar Fort and town from the Mughals. But in one of the battles Malik Ambar was defeated by the Mughals and had to surrender the fort of Ahmadnagar. You must visit this beautiful place. Malik Ambar was an Abyssinian (present day Ethiopia) slave who rose into the ranks in the army of the Nizam Shahi dynasty of Ahmadnagar.

According to folklore, in ancient times the Khuldabad was known as Bhadravati, and the ruler was a noble king named Bhadrasena, who was an ardent devotee of Rama and used to sing songs in His praise. One day Hanumanji descended in the place, listening to the devotional songs sung in praise of Rama. He was mesmerized and, without his knowledge, took a reclining posture called 'Bhava-samadhi' (Bhavava samadhi is a yogic posture). King Bhadrasen, when he had finished his song, was astonished to find Hanuman in Samadhi before him. He requested Hanuman to reside there forever and bless his and Lord Rama's devotees.

Hindu holy place, probably one of few shri Hanuman temple where the idol is in sleeping posture. Darshan is usually quick unless there are any festive activities. Besides temple the are ample shops for souvenir or to buy any holy items. Parking is available with minimal charge.

It is a simple tomb built has per his wish. It was only later that the British surrounded the tomb with marble screen. Today the tomb stands in this little known suburb of Aurangabad (Ch. Sambhaji Nagar) connected to the highway - that leads to Ellora- by a road that is hardly drivable. Once inside through the narrow passage, one can remove their footware and enter the place from where the tomb is visible. It's unlike the other Mughal era tombs that stand in magnificence. Bibi ka maqbara where Aurangzeb' wife was buried is one such example. This tomb in Khuldabad also is the final resting place of Aurangzeb' son and daughter in law. There is no entry ticket (I don't think this is ASI administered monument) and people of all faiths can step inside. There is no separate parking area and the vehicles are usually parked on the street leading to the tomb.

The water park is built in a very beautiful and natural environment and is very attractive. All the people working in the water park are very polite and disciplined. The sliding of the model of Captain Jack Sparrow's Black Pearl water ship that you have made is a little jammed. It is causing trouble to small children and younger while sliding on it. You should replace it with a new one and we strongly request you to reduce your ticket prices. If you reduce the ticket prices, the common people will also enjoy your water park.

Everything is fantastic. Slides are awesome. Good heights. Clean water. Proper water filtration. Canteen available inside but costs higher. No public transport will lead you to there. Use your own vehicle or rent one to reach there.

I would like to review in 2 areas as follows: 1) Very nice place in view of one day family or friends vacation .. Have 4 rides for adult and many more for children's. I would say good one for enjoy with children's upto age 16. Others may find it not that worth. Not tried the food their but there are some snacks available like noodles, Schezwan rice etc. Also suggest if water quality is ok enjoy fullest. 2) Second part is the suggestion to management. Maintenance of slides and water are not up to the mark .. need major work to be done in this area .. Also cleanliness in complete campus is missing .. If management works on it may be it will attract more customer.

Beautiful location...entry fee is normal and that's the reason many people prefer this location which little bit near also..once you enter you can enjoy each and every section..canteen is paid and price is little high.. And yes you can get swimming costumes from them if you don't have your own one..Lockers are available so don't worry about that..i recommend you to before entering into water check the quality of water.. The thought provoking Chini Mahal is all that remains of Chini Mahal, which is ironically known as the Chinese Mahal. This blue tiled palace was used by Aurangzeb to imprison the for the last king of Golconda, Abdul Hasan Tana Shah until his death. Now in ruins, the palace was once covered with blue stones, and that's why it was called the Chini Mahal. Chand Minar is a part of the Daulatabad Fort, so along the Chini Mahal, one can visit the various other places like Chand Minar, Jama Masjid, etc. How to reach: Chini Mahal marks the entrance of the Daulatabad Fort. So as to reach here, one can either trek or hire a cab from anywhere in the main city.

Golgonda sultan Abul Hasan Tana shah was kept here as prisoner of war,by Emperor Aurangazeb,&Bijapur sultan sikkandar as well.

Amazing archeological site and old architecture

Chini Mahal is a double storied castle situated inside the Daulatabad Fort complex. Located at a distance of 16 km from Aurangabad, Chini Mahal served as the royal prison and held many of the royal captives of Emperor Aurangzeb. Also known as China Palace, Chini Mahal was once a beautiful mansion and was inlaid with glazed blue and white enamelled encaustic tiles. Now only patches of the porcelain tiles remain on the facade of the Chini Mahal, showcasing the extreme craftsmanship of those who built this castle. The upper floor of the Chini Mahal is well ventilated with arched windows and is reached by stone steps. The roof of the Chini Mahal has fallen down. The last of the Qutab Shahi Kings of Golconda, Abul Hasan Tana Shah, and the last Sultan of Bijapur, Sikander, were held as captives by the Moghul Emperor, Aurangzeb. Best enjoyed during the months from October to March and suitable for the whole family, one can also visit the other monuments inside the Daulatabad Fort complex while visiting Chini Mahal. An entry fee of Rs. 5 is levied at the entrance. Chini Mahal is easily reached from Aurangabad as it lies on the Ellora-Aurangabad Road.

The fort is so strategically located that every conquerer of it was a proud owner. Sultan Muhammad bin Tughlaq changed the name of it as Daulatabad, means ‘Adobe of Wealth', in 1328 CE when he moved his capital from Delhi to here. This magnificent fort is standing on a top of a 200m high conical hill. It was one of the most powerful forts during the medieval period. The fort was defended by moat (khandak) and glacis (slopes) running around the hill at its foot besides the most complex and intricate defence system. The fortifications comprise of three encircling walls with bastions. Series of trick defence and secret escapes routes are the famous features of this fort. Jama Masjid, Bharatmata Mandir, Chand Minar, Elephant Tank and Chini Mahal (Chinese Palace) are the important monuments inside the fort.

It is a good place if you're into exploring and like a little trekking with your family, friends or even solo. The fort had 2-3 completely dark passages inside, which made it feel more adventurous climbing to the top of the fort. The view from certain points as you're climbing the fort is beautiful, you can experience the beautiful view from top as you're climbing the fort. Also, once you reach the top, it's really calm and peaceful, the view is amazing and it feels worth the climb. It's a great place for amazing photos, you can get some really great clicks. One of the best places I've visited while being in Aurangabad.

One of the best maintained forts in India and a must visit place once you are in Aurangabad. The fort is kept clean and drinking water and toilets are available inside. Parking is nearby. Walk of appx 1-2 km is involved with steps at many places. There are magnificent views for clicking photos. Piece of history.

The entire place is also perfect for photography, offering countless opportunities for memorable pictures. Overall, visiting Daulatabad Fort has been one of my most enjoyable experiences in Aurangabad.

An incredible historical visit! Daulatabad Fort stands on a massive hill, showcasing medieval military genius. The sheer rock-cut defenses and the famous, terrifyingly dark Andheri maze are the highlights. While the ascent is tiring, reaching the top provides stunning views and a powerful connection to India's past. Highly recommended for history buffs near Ellora.

What a peaceful place. An exhausting and a bit tricky climb but that's the whole point of this fort. The best time to visit is early in the morning so you don't have to climb in the harsh sun. It took me exactly 1 hour to make the climb to the crest of the hill where Durga Cannon is placed with two-three stops in between to catch my breath. Going beyond the dark passageway may not be really feasible if you have elders and small children in your group.

Total 12 in number caves are attached to University in Aurangabad. Caves are mainly Buddhist with one cave dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Caves are divided in two sets with 1-5 on one side and 7-12 on other side. Both seperated by around 1-1.2km. You can enter Sanctum sanatorium here unlike Ajantha, you can see the sculptures inside the sanctum sanatorium. Caves not with such grandeur as Ajnatha caves but worth Visiting. you can get nice view of Aurangabad city from caves. Must visit caves within the group are caves with number 1,2,3 and 7.

The Aurangabad caves, are twelve rock-cut Buddhist shrines divided in two sets. 1-6 on one side and 7-12 on other side of the mountain. These caves are are 9 kilometers from Aurangabad city center and a few kilometers from the campus of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. As comparable to Ajanta and Ellora, the caves are much smaller. The ticket given for Rs. 25 can be used to see the caves on both sides. It is a protected monument under the ASI. The series of caves dedicated to Buddhism are beautiful.

After heavy rain, fog covers the entire hill, making it feel like a Sahyadri hill station. And in Rainy seasons it will give you the best experience. Avoid night treks!! Carry your own water bottle as there are little or no source except few shops near the footing of the hill.

We usually make the most of our mornings by taking a leisurely stroll around this tiny piece of heaven that I stay in the vicinity of. Himayatbagh, a sprawling 300 acres of pure greenery and bliss, is a 17th century garden which is now acting as a Fruit Research centre and nursery. Come summer, the whole area carries, in it's air, the fragrance of Mangoes of different variety, all nurtured right here in Himayatbagh. Might as well call it Mango heaven then! Came here almost everyday as a child, learnt how to ride my bike here. We usually try and come here early mornings or at golden hours of the day whenever we're in town. So many beautiful triggers and such a rich nostalgia! ❤️

Best place for morning walk among the people near by area, there you will hear the beautiful sound of peacock and so many other birds plants etc. It's a old bagh (garden) so there are so many old trees you will see.nice place to visit with friends in the middle of the city. Along with himayat bagh you can go for a trek to ganesh tekdi behind the himayat bagh.

Please note, main gate entrance is closed, you have to take a left turn if you are coming from Delhi gate side, approx 300 mtrs inside. Open parking at your own risk. Entrance gate has a very small entrance, you have to bend while entering. Inside, its lavish green, ample area to walk and spend time.. approx 2 kms walking periphery. I could see a peahen as well.. Behind Himayat bagh, there's a Himayat hill as well, looked good for trekking, I hvnt tried though! Looked safe for kids, family, friends.. overall good place to spend time in nature & 1 hr should be sufficient, one can spend more ime as well. Some avid photographers do come as well. Nearby places to visit are 1. Salim Ali sarovar (lake - correctly closed for visitors) 2. Bibi ka makbara 3. Panchakki 4. University 5. Goga baba tekadi 6. Aurangabad caves, etc...

A revered Sikh historical site at Aurangabad, in Maharashtra, is on the Manmad-Kacheguda section of SCR on the way to Sachkhand Hazoor Saheb( Nanded). Now the regional headquarters of Marathwada, a very popular Tourist city and now a strong Industrial center. Emperor Aurangzeb had his headquarters here when he came down to the Deccan in 1681 to quell the Maratha rebellion. When Bhai Daya Singh and Dharam Singh were sent by Guru Gobind Singh with the Zafarnama to be delivered to Aurangzeb, they first arrived at Aurangabad, but, finding that the emperor had shifted to Ahmadnagar, they went thither. There, too, they found it impossible to meet the emperor because nobody would let them approach him. So they came back to Aurangabad, and while Bhai Dharam Singh returned to Punjab to report to the Guru and seek his advice, Bhai Daya Singh stayed with a Sikh here waiting for his colleague's return. Meanwhile, he established contact with some influential Mughal officials through whom he succeeded to deliver the Zafarnama to Aurangzeb. The house were he lived in Aurangabad became a meeting place of other Sikhs, too, who formed a sangat, which later Developed into a Gurdwara. Situated in Dhavni Mohalla, it is called Gurdwara Bhai Daya Singh Bhai Dharam Singh and is regularly attended and maintained by the Sikh population of the city. In fact the original handwritten copy of the Zafarnama by the Guru can be viewed here....

Why would I hesitate to give max ratings to any historic place be it any mandir, masjid or any holy place. New one in town can't find this place as it is located inside market and narrow gully's make more difficult to get their. It's better to get their thru a auto as it will be convenient b'cuz no place of parking around area.

Hygiene and cleanliness maintained here is adorable and also the food they donate (langar) on Friday(not much sure) is very delicious and exclusively tasty. They will provide you with unlimited food. Reaching here is ₹10 per seat from central Naka to Gandhi putala and it's at walking distance from there. You will be able to see it's flagpost with Sikh symbol if look towards sky.

Jai Bajrang Bali!! This is the famous 'Supari Hanuman' temple. It's spire is ornately carved and painted. Observe the laning system, the architecture of the old buildings here. Do you remember a guy who was wearing colored electric bulbs all over his body? I think every body who has some experience of Supari Hanumaan will remember that person. Also, there is a famous Chiwda sold on the corner. Anywhere in the world, this taste is unique, I think that taste is one of the landmarks of Aurangabad.

This is one of the big mole I have ever visited . it's hygienic and it isn't like any ordinary Mall like at any building they open just McDonald and INOX and start calling it Mall No here are 150 plus brands which I like. It is big. hygienic and it is good actually because it have a inox cinema hall , Food Court, shopping mall, gaming Centre etc. just the price at here is bit big bigger than outside store. Example if there is a shirt of 500 so they will sell it at 750 or 1000.

Siddharth Garden and Zoo in Aurangabad is a good place to spend some time while you're here. The zoo closes at 6 pm so you have to visit accordingly. There's a small aquarium too inside and a museum too. The garden is filled with children playing and families sitting together. There's a kids play area in the park. The park has been maintained well and the zoo needs a little more maintainance. There are many animals, reptiles and birds in the zoo.

Need maintenance. Zoo: Most of the snake enclosure glasses needs to be cleaned and repaired. The birds house feels like a miniature version. May be my expectations were high. And the monkey and Fox enclosures feels like a cage for those animals. Hardly 5 feet enclosure for the wild animals. Cruelty. Garden : The garden landscape needs a lot improvement. Today found that all the swings and slides are submerged with water ponds. Many slides were broken. It seems there is no maintenance for the play area. Cleanliness is we should compliment. Staff is taking all the efforts to make Garden and the zoo clean. But all the visitors should follow the rules and use the given dustbins for any rubbish. Lot of scope for improvement.

Siddharth Garden and Zoo I would not recommend visiting the Siddharth Garden Zoo at all. The condition of the place is very disappointing. The hygiene is extremely poor, and the animals are not being kept in clean or healthy environments. Many enclosures look dirty and poorly maintained. The snake section was especially shocking — several snakes were kept in old aquarium-style glass boxes, and some of those glasses were cracked. This is a serious safety issue for visitors and absolutely unfair to the animals. It clearly shows a lack of care and attention. Overall, the animals don’t seem to be properly looked after. Their enclosures are unhygienic, the surroundings are unclean, and it feels like no one is taking responsibility for basic maintenance. If you have nothing to do and just want to pass time, then maybe you can visit. But if you care about animals or expect a decent zoo experience, you will definitely be disappointed. The authorities really need to improve hygiene, animal care, and safety before calling this place a zoo.

This zoo is Good to visit if you are in Sambhajinagar. You can spend 1 hour and watch animals like tiger and deers. Good parking space available if you reach on non pick hours. Better to visit in morning and non Friday day.
