Cantonment Church Tower

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks

Lovely and Historical Place ❤️ It is a dismantled church established in year 1804 AD when Karnal was the cantonment area for Britishers. Britishers then shifted cantonment area from Karnal to Ambala, so at time they dismantled this Karnal church leaving only the tower. The British era Graveyard is in left side of the church and Indian graveyard (new) is in the right side of the Church.

Church tower is a oldest tourist place ....where the ancient soldiers samadhi is kept for remembering their sacrifice.... also it has a wonderful clean garden. Its an central government tourist place. There is no fees for entry .....u can go anytime to visit there ....Must visit once Amit Kargil

Peaceful and very good place to visit. With the establishment of British cantonment at Karnal, St. James' Church was constructed in 1806 by the British. In 1841, when the cantonment was shifted to Ambala, the church was dismantled, but the tower was allowed to stay as it had been built out of the subscriptions of the public who objected to its dismantlement.[1] It was built to meet the challenge of rising power of the Sikh military in the region.
Sahla P — Google review
Deserted place. Even no caretaker is present, though it is preserved by Archaeological Survey of India.
Sanjay M — Google review
Nothing much other than the tower. Won't take you more than 10 minutes to finish it's experience. Maps will show a stop before it reaches. Take the car a few metres ahead and you would spot a small gate
Vinay N — Google review
A Charming Glimpse into Karnal’s Colonial Heritage "Visiting the Cantonment Church Tower in Karnal was such a rewarding experience! Standing proudly at about 35 meters tall, this iconic four-storey landmark was originally part of St. James’ Church, built in 1806 to cater to the British cantonment stationed in Karnal . Despite the church being dismantled in 1841 when the cantonment moved to Ambala, the tower remained intact—largely thanks to public support . Architecturally, the tower features Etruscan pilasters on the first level, a semi-circular dome with Roman-style arches on the top, and is plastered with lime adorned with elegant paneling . It’s still topped by an ornamental cross and can be spotted from as far as 7 km away . The site also holds a solemn reminder of Karnal’s past—a cemetery beside the tower that contains the graves of European soldiers and their families who succumbed to malaria in the early 19th century . One notable grave nearby was that of General George Anson, Commander-in-Chief of the British Forces, who died around the time of the 1857 uprising . What impressed me most was how well the site is being preserved. With support from the ASI and the Smart City initiative, the area is getting thoughtfully beautified—pathways, lighting, seating, and informative signage are all being added for visitors’ comfort and understanding . Overall, this tower is not just a striking architectural relic—it’s a poignant symbol of history, resilience, and community remembrance. A must-visit for anyone touring Karnal.

Very peaceful & relaxing place for leisure time as well as to gain knowledge regarding the history of the city. & surely a Paradise for photographers.

This structure was build before independence, as this was part of British India Cantonment , and functional at that time. Now it is under the protection of world archeological site and maintained by them.

Harsha K3C Mall

Shopping mall
Shopping
A good mall overall, but since the city doesn’t really have a strong mall culture, there aren’t any shops, restaurants, or cafes inside. The highlight is its excellent PVR cinema, which I usually prefer for movie outings.
Dr. K — Google review
The place seems fine but it’s only for PVR. The mall itself is much huge and so it can include much useful clothes shop, or else franchise from dominos, pizza hut and so on-and so-forth. Why it’s called mall it should only be PVR mall. 2 malls facing each other and all of them are utterly worst.
Himanshu P — Google review
2 star for theater in this mall. All empty, No shops were vacant. No shopping, eating...100% not recommend if you are looking for shopping and eating. It looks scary without shops.
Deepak B — Google review
Terrible Experience – Not Baby-Friendly at All! Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a theatre. The staff here are beyond arrogant and completely unprofessional. If you’re a parent and have baby food with you, be prepared for a ridiculous argument—they won’t allow it unless you escalate the issue and call the 112 police helpline. Imagine missing 10-20 minutes of your movie just to get basic common sense to prevail! The so-called manager is no better—rather than resolving issues, they try to intimidate customers. The entire staff lacks courtesy and professionalism. Parents, take my advice—if you have a baby, DO NOT visit this theatre. The hassle is not worth it. Hope the management takes this feedback seriously and fixes their terrible customer service.
Vaibhav P — Google review
They won’t turn AC on while whole movie because hall wasn’t fully booked. So it’s recommended to go to movie time because they don’t do the same
Prabhbaani C — Google review
Poor management. Theatre is dirty. No cleaning after the shows. Seats are in bad shape. Incliners are not working Show starts late usually
BE N — Google review
The guards here talk rudely. When you go to watch a movie, they will not let you take any luggage inside and outside. They talk very rudely.
Raju — Google review
The AC was not working at all. Also, many food items were not available such as Nachos and Maharaja Tub. Very poor theatre. The lights were flickering throughout the first part of the movie.

The hospital is perfect if you are looking for eye care. This hospital uses latest technology when it comes to cataract surgery. Operation only last for 15 minutes and patient can go home after that. Dr. Ankur Gupta is one of the best eye surgeons in India. Don’t give a miss.

We always think that people who have age also have experience but in sanjeevani nursing home it's worst experience..... an aged lady doctor just ruined life of our upcoming baby before birth... doctor working in sanjeevani nursing home are just wait for patients to refer in other hospitals and do good profit in that... they recommend reference like costly hospitals like the kidney hospitals. They don't have proper knowledge to guide patients in proper way.... really pathetic work they do

Trusted team and doctors, always polite and ready to explain the smallest of doubts. It's always crowded , but crowd is managed fairly enough, expect 2 hours on every visit. Washrooms need to be cleaned better.

We went to see the gynaecologist at 11:30PM today from panipat refinery township which is 20kms away from the hospital. But doctor could not manage to come down 1 floor to meet us. While the nurse was attending blood came out and i got really angry so i asked the doctor to come and see personally but still she did not come n meet me. Pls don't go to this hospital because here the gynaecologist's sleep is more imp than being a doctor

Ali A — Google review
The history of Kalandar Peer in Panipat revolves around the revered Sufi saint Sheikh Sharfuddin Bu Ali Shah Qalandar Panipati, also known as Bu Ali Qalandar. Here's a summary of his life and the history associated with his shrine: Life of Bu Ali Qalandar: * Birth: Estimates vary, with some accounts placing his birth around 1209 CE in Panipat, Haryana, India. However, an inscription on his tomb suggests his birthplace was Ganja in present-day Azerbaijan. * Lineage: His father, Sheikh Fakhar Uddin, was a renowned scholar and saint, believed to be a descendant of Imam Abu Hanifa. * Education: Bu Ali Qalandar completed his studies at a young age and taught near the Qutub Minar in Delhi for about 20 years. * Spiritual Journey: He is associated with the Chishti and Owaisi Sufi orders. Legends describe periods of intense devotion and spiritual experiences that led to him being bestowed the title "Bu Ali" (Fragrance of Ali). * Qalandar: He embraced the Qalandar way of life, a distinct branch of Sufism characterized by their detached and often wandering lifestyle. * Literary Work: He authored a collection of Persian poetry called "Diwan Hazrat Sharafuddeen Bu Ali Qalandar," a significant work in Sufi literature. * Demise: He passed away in Panipat around 1324 CE. The Dargah (Shrine): * Construction: The dargah, mosque, and enclosure at Kalandar Chowk in Panipat were built by Mahabat Khan, a general during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. Mahabat Khan's own tomb is located adjacent to the saint's mausoleum. * Significance: The tomb of Bu Ali Shah Qalandar is a highly respected pilgrimage site for people of all faiths. It is seen as a symbol of faith, harmony, and integrity. * Features: The dargah complex also houses the tombs of Hakim Mukaram Khan and Maulana Altaf Hussain Ali, a prominent Urdu poet. The left wall of the mausoleum has a Qasida (panegyric) inscribed in blue and gold, written by Zahuri Neishabouri. * Urs Mela: An annual Urs Mela (fair) is held at the dargah, attracting devotees from across the country. * Qawwali: Regular Qawwali (Sufi devotional singing) festivals are organized at the shrine. * Syncretic Tradition: Every Thursday, people from various religions gather at the dargah to offer prayers, highlighting the syncretic traditions of the region. The dargah of Bu Ali Shah Qalandar stands as a testament to the saint's enduring legacy and continues to be a significant spiritual and cultural landmark in Panipat.

Peaceful serene spiritual and religious place. The tomb is around 700 years old and constructed by Mahabat Khan, a general in the service of Mughal emperor Jehangir, in the honor of the sufi saint of Chishti order. Devotees irrespective of caste and religion can be seen thronging to pay respect.

The Dargah of Hazrat Bu Ali Shah Qalandar in Panipat, Haryana, is a revered Sufi shrine dedicated to Shaykh Sharfuddin Bu Ali Qalandar Panipati (1209–1324 CE), a prominent saint of the Chishti order. Born in Panipat, he was a renowned scholar who taught near Delhi's Qutub Minar for two decades before embracing a life of spiritual devotion. His Persian poetry collection, Diwan Hazrat Sharafuddeen Bu Ali Qalandar, remains influential in Sufi literature. The mausoleum, constructed by Mughal general Mahabat Khan during Emperor Jahangir's reign, showcases exquisite Mughal architecture, including a blue and gold qasida (panegyric) inscribed by Persian poet Zahuri Neishabouri. Adjacent to the saint's tomb are the graves of Hakim Mukaram Khan and Urdu poet Maulana Altaf Hussain Hali. The shrine is a hub of interfaith harmony, attracting devotees from various religions, especially on Thursdays and during the annual Urs Mela, which features qawwali performances and communal meals. Located near Panipat Junction railway station, the dargah is easily accessible and stands as a testament to India's rich spiritual heritage. To delve deeper into the teachings and legacy of Hazrat Bu Ali Shah Qalandar, consider exploring his poetic works. The Deewan-e-Shah Bu Ali Qalandar is available in both hardbound and paperback editions, offering insights into his spiritual philosophy. For a broader perspective on Sufi traditions, We Are Lovers of the Qalandar provides a comprehensive overview. Additionally, for those interested in Islamic art, the Islamic Home Decoration Table Decor Bookend serves as a meaningful keepsake.

Hazrat Bu Ali Shah's Dargah is a very peaceful place in Panipat. It is a shrine place situated in heart of Panipat. It is easily accessible from Panipat bus stand and from so many major places in Panipat. One can go here for extreme peace of mind and happiness. Bu Ali Shah's Dargah is not much crowded like shrine places in Delhi especially Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah and Qutubuddin Sahab Dargah. At Bu Ali Shah Dargah you feel the real peace of mind it is one of the best place far from city's Hustle Bustle life and stress. If you want some relaxation without hole in your pocket then it is the best religious place go here at least once in Life

The Kabuli Bagh Mosque is a mosque in Panipat, Haryana, India which was built in 1527 by the emperor Babur to mark his victory over Sultan Ibrahim Lodhi at the first Battle of Panipat in 1526. The mosque is named after Kabuli Begum, Babur's wife. The mosque and surrounding enclosure wall are a Monument of National Importance. The main building was built in 1527. Emperor Babur of the Timurid dynasty defeated Sultan Ibrahim Lodhi in the first Battle of Panipat in 1526 at Panipat. It was the first conquest of the Mughals over Hindustan. A descendant of Tamerlane, Taimur Lung, built this monument as a show of victory of the Mughals over the Pathan rulers of India. He built the Kabul Bagh mosque in 1527.

When Babur defeated... Another muslim ruler known as Ibrahim Lodhi... In 1526 AD At Panipat battle ground.... He raised this mosque... It is situated in a densely populated area.. Although the alleys are narrow but one may drive a car upto the mosque entrance. One may find indo arabic architecture in this building... Please avoid visiting alone... Or as a couple... Visit in groups if possible... No other facility available... No Guide available... No ticket... Security guard remain available

Spacious mosque.. the monument is found locked for visitors. The approach road is very narrow and unsuitable. The masjid is built of bricks and res sandstone. The monument has stood against vagaries of nature for around 500 years. The masjid is reportedly built by Babur to commemorate victory over Sultan Ibrahim Lodhi during the first battle of Panipat. The Mughals defeated the Pathans. A raised platform ' Chabutara Fateh Mubarak is reportedly constructed by Humayun to celebrate victory over descendants of Sher Shah Suri. The boundary wall running around the masjid is high enough to prevent worthwhile view of building from outside. No tickets no facilities..

It is very beautiful and extremely magnificient mosque build in octaganol shape and decorated arches.. The well built structure is enhanced by octagonal towers perched on its corners.. The gateway is placed on the north and is built of red sandstone bricks.. The entrance is adorned by a lintel bracket opening, sheathed in a massive arch and the spandrels are also festooned with arched indentation, enclosed in rectangular panels.. The main prayer hall is formed in a square shape with annexes on the sides, and the elevated frontage has been designed with separate panels plastered with lime.. The place is not in very good condition but is taken care of.. People go there for morning walk and children used to play..

Today I have visited mojoland. We have enjoyed snow park, water park and adventure park. We are super satisfied. The taste of food was really good and staff in mojoland are extremely cooperative.

Mojoland is a multi theme park situated at Murthal, Sonepat. That includes an Amusement park, Snow park, water park & Adventurous park. It is an awesome place to visit with family & friends at a reasonable price. Water park: with exiting & impressive collection of water rides including water slides/tubes, aqua tube slide, wave pool, rain dance, foam bath etc., Mojoland is a perfect destination to beat the heat in summer. Here we can rent costumes and locker. The snow park is funfilled and very exciting. Snow boarding, snow tubing and many other activities are there to give you the feel of winter in summer. Adventure park : from zip lining to bridge walk, wall climbing and free fall will satisfy even the thrill seekers. It also includes bumber cars, bungee jumbing and sky cycling. To scream & laugh: Amusement park is about to take your thrills to a whole new level with its pendulum ride, roller coaster & ferris wheel. The food was good. However a buffet system would have been better instead of serving by staff. "NO REFILLING" posters hanging inside the cafe were little disappointing.
Shiby V — Google review
Best adventure park I've ever been to, the staff is really calm and helpful. They can upgrade the rides for the amusement park as they're mainly for kids, but overall very nice experience. Visited on weekday so the staff also operated the rides twice or thrice for us. Very good experience💗💗
SIDRA A — Google review
Mojoland offers an outstanding array of attractions and services that guarantee a memorable experience. The rides are thrilling and well-maintained, providing endless excitement for visitors of all ages. The water park stands out with its variety of slides and pools, making it a perfect place to cool off and have fun. I particularly enjoyed the adventure park, which offers a range of activities that challenge and entertain. From zip-lining to rock climbing, there’s something for every adventure enthusiast. The snow park is a highlight, creating a magical winter wonderland even in the middle of summer. Playing in the snow, building snowmen, and engaging in snowball fights were truly delightful experiences.

A good place for group outings.... could be cleaner, but it was still a wonderful experience.. kids loved all the parks, especially waterpark. Amusement Park has few rides, but still buying tickets for all four is cheaper. Also their canteen is worth mentioning as the food provided is value for money.. good in taste and easy on pocket also the staff was helpful & kind.

Jurasik Park Inn

I recently visited Jurassic Water Park in Sonipat with my group of friends, and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable outings we’ve had in a long time. The park truly lives up to its name — the dinosaur-themed surroundings, lush greenery, and well-maintained rides make it a perfect getaway for both fun and relaxation. We spent the entire day there and didn’t feel bored even for a moment. The water slides and wave pool were the main highlights. Each ride offered a different thrill level, from high-speed slides for adventure lovers to gentle ones for those who just wanted to relax. The wave pool and rain dance area were also big hits with our group. The music and DJ added a lively vibe, and everyone enjoyed dancing under the sprinklers. One thing that stood out was the behavior of the staff — they were polite, friendly, and always ready to help. They ensured everyone’s safety and maintained cleanliness around the pools and sitting areas. The food court offered a decent variety of snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. Overall, our experience at Jurassic Water Park was fantastic. It’s a great destination for families, friends, or school groups looking to spend a fun-filled and refreshing day. We loved it and would definitely love to visit again!

Jurasik Park Inn – Honest Review I recently visited Jurasik Park Inn, and overall, it was a pretty average experience. Water rides were okay — nothing too exciting, and honestly, not well maintained. The pools were basic and lacked proper hygiene, which was a big letdown. We already had our own swimming shorts, but they still didn’t allow us entry without renting their own, which felt unnecessary and inconvenient. Food options were very limited, and whatever was available was overpriced for the quality. Definitely not value for money in that department. We bought our tickets via voucher deals at ₹650 per person, which was still manageable. But if we had paid the regular ₹999 per person, it would not have felt worth it at all. The parking area was spacious and well-managed — probably one of the few things that were truly good. Coming to safety and enjoyment — many rides seemed more risky than fun. Injuries felt more likely than thrills, and while the amusement rides were slightly better, some of them required extra charges, which was disappointing. In short, it’s an Average park — fine if you're getting a discounted deal and just want to spend a casual day out, but don’t expect anything too exciting or well-organized.
Aakash S — Google review
I had an amazing experience at Jurasik Park Inn. The amusement rides were thrilling and well-maintained, offering excitement for all age groups. The water park was equally impressive, with clean pools, exciting slides, and plenty of shaded areas to relax between rides. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable day full of fun and adventure!

It's good but hygiene can be maintain. There was foul smell in water and no wave in pool area. They have water park first and amusement park in in back side. After using water park you can't use amusement park rides so it will get waste. Limited rides. Time being ticket price is good. Rides are good!
Deepak K — Google review
Disappointing experience >Online tickets are useless, as we still have to take a counter ticket and entry bands and there is no seperate queue for those who have online tickets. >They don't even allow a water bottle inside..it's a full-on money making system inside. >It's a waste for a toddler parents. Because In kids slides adults are not allowed. And in adults slides kids are not allowed. >In the food area they have kept coolers.. Ofcourse because they are making money. But, in the waiting areas indoors/ outdoors...NO COOLERS..not even fan. > I was there till 3 pm, the rides for kids were not functional till that time. >The staff was not supportive and cooperative..at times they were rude too. > Child ticket is only applicable if a child is 4 feet or less. But if it's plus 1 or 2 inch, they will consider it under adult. Which is so foolish. > People from near by places can think of going to this place..but people travelling from noida/delhi and other far locations must think twice.

Pacific Mall is located right on the Delhi–Ghaziabad border, making it easily accessible for people from both cities. It is close to Anand Vihar and Kaushambi Metro Stations, as well as Anand Vihar ISBT and the UP bus terminal (Meerut side). One of the highlights of Pacific Mall is its spacious and vibrant food court, which is perfect for families, couples, and individuals. There’s a wide variety of food outlets like Pizza Hut, Domino’s, Bikanervala, Subway, Burger King, Burger Singh, KFC, Vaango, and Punjabi food stalls. The place is neat, clean, and safe with a helpful staff. Zudio has also opened here quite some time ago, adding to the mall’s shopping appeal. Overall, it’s a great place to hang out, shop, and enjoy food under one roof.

But official site and multiple sources suggest up to 10:00 PM. Shops inside may follow that general timing, but anchor stores or food outlets may vary slightly. It’s best to check a particular store beforehand. How to Reach / Transportation & Connectivity Nearest Metro & Rail The closest metro station is Kaushambi Metro Station on the Delhi Metro Blue Line. It’s approximately 0.4 km (i.e. a few minutes’ walk) from Pacific Mall. Some resources mention “around 700 metres” distance as well. Also accessible via Anand Vihar Metro / Railway / ISBT fairly close by. Road, Bus & Local Transport The mall is in Sahibabad Industrial Area, Site 4, which is well connected via major roads like Link Road, Mohan Nagar, and proximity to Anand Vihar / Kaushambi. Local transport options like autos / e‑rickshaws / taxis help in last‑mile connectivity from nearby metro or bus stops. Be aware: in Ghaziabad / NCR, e‑rickshaws / autos sometimes cause congestion near metro / mall areas. Parking: The mall has multi‑level parking (for both 4‑wheelers and 2‑wheelers). Tips and Observations Weekends and evenings tend to be busiest — expect crowds and possibly slower movement in parking / security areas. If visiting a specific store (electronics, fashion brand, etc.), check its opening/closing time (some may close earlier). Use the mall map / directory (often available inside or via app or mall help desk) to plan your route inside. For late visits, ensure you check the last metro / public transport timings so you aren’t stranded. Bring comfortable footwear — the mall is large and walking between sections may take time.

Pacific Mall, Ghaziabad is an okay place for shopping and hanging out, but it doesn’t really give that “wow” feeling like some other malls do. The environment is just average - not very lively or impressive. The infrastructure and overall setup are also quite normal, nothing special or premium about it. It’s fine for a quick visit or casual shopping, but not a must-visit mall experience.
Rajkumar P — Google review
Pacific Mall is good for shopping and has a nice variety of stores and eateries. The cinema and ambience are usually enjoyable. However, during my recent visit, the air conditioning was not working properly, which made the experience uncomfortable. Hope the management resolves this issue soon as it’s otherwise a great place to spend time.

Swarna Jayanti Park, also known as Smrithi Vatika, is a sprawling green oasis in Ghaziabad that spans an impressive 250 acres. This park is a delightful blend of tranquility and activity, featuring beautifully manicured lawns, jogging paths, and serene boating lakes. Visitors can enjoy the lush surroundings while indulging in picnics or engaging in outdoor exercises.
One of the best parks in Indirapuram Ghaziabad. Located at a very prominent location in Niti Khand 3. The entry fee is 10rs and free for children or senior citizens. A very big park is recommended for all age groups. Well maintained and beautiful. School picnics, family outings or kid friendliness are the main attractions. Ample parking space around the park. Entrance is available from two sides. Highly recommended to bring your kids.
Ashish R — Google review
Swarna Jayanti Park is a lovely place for a relaxing day out with family, friends, and kids. The entry fee is quite reasonable—₹10 for visitors aged 5 and above. The environment is peaceful and serene, making it ideal not only for picnics but also for morning walks, yoga sessions, and light sports activities for children. There are numerous huts throughout the park that offer shelter during rain, and security is well-maintained, which adds to the overall comfort and safety of visitors. Outside the park, you’ll find a variety of food courts and stalls, giving visitors plenty of options for snacks and meals after their visit. *Highlights* * Great for families, friends, and kids. * Entry fee: ₹10 for ages 5 and above. * Very peaceful and quiet environment. * Suitable for morning walks, yoga, and small kids’ sports. * Huts available for rain protection. * Good security presence. * Plenty of food options just outside the park. *Areas of Improvement:* * The boating area needs urgent repairs; many parts are broken. * Water in the boating lake is dirty, unhygienic, and the water level is quite low. * Cleanliness and general maintenance need improvement in multiple sections of the park. * Many benches are damaged and should be repaired or replaced. *Suggestions* Previously, the park had a well-maintained play area with swings and adventure activities for kids, free of cost. Unfortunately, this has now been taken over by a third-party vendor who charges separately for each activity. This change feels unfair, especially since visitors already pay an entry fee. It would be better to bring back free, standard playground equipment for children like before.

You can find play way slides for kids (Maybe Chargeable) 5. Boating, waterfall are available. 6. A green beauty can be seen here during rainy weather. But, park surface is not walkable after rain. 7. Entry fees ₹10 per person. Location: Indrapuram Ghaziabad.

A fun and educational experience for kids and families! The dinosaur models are quite detailed and interactive, and the setup is engaging enough to spark curiosity in young minds. Great photo opportunities and a good mix of entertainment and learning. However, the space can get a bit crowded on weekends, and a few installations could use better maintenance. Overall, a unique and enjoyable visit for children interested in prehistoric creatures!

Drizzling Land is a fun getaway if you’re looking to beat the heat and spend a full day unwinding. The water rides are the highlight, especially the wave pool and the big slides, which are genuinely exciting without feeling unsafe. The place is fairly spacious, so even on busy days you don’t feel too crowded. The staff is polite and attentive, and the lifeguards actually pay attention, which adds a lot of comfort. Food options are decent with good variety, though a bit on the pricier side, which is typical for parks like this. Overall, it’s a solid spot for families, couples, or a group of friends looking for a refreshing day out. Clean pools, good rides, and a cheerful vibe make it worth the trip. Sachin Tyagi

Drizzling land is the perfect "summer day out" location to spend a memorable time with your family or friends. There are multiple pool areas and atleast 20+ slides to enjoy. Safety is considered at all locations within. The amusement rides are equally thrilling. The food court is also amazing, serves ample quantity of food at affordable prices. You can easily enjoy an entire day here or as much as you can !!! I highly recommend Drizzling Land !!!

Located just near sideby duhai rapid railway station this water park is on delhi meerut highway in easy to reach also nearby peripheral expressway. Ticket rates are economical and you can park your vehicle at railway parking just outside the water park. Water quality is ok but not fresh and well chlorinated. Changing rooms are well and lockers are sufficient in size. Children's pool, kempty fall and slow river is good. Although they have many rides but each ride faces a long queue for waiting. Wave pool is super having strong waves. Canteen food is good. Roller coaster ride is very thrilling and many rides for kids at amusement park. Drinking water is avilable inside at cooling machines unlike other water parks which force to purchase water bottle inside. Please avoid sundays and holidays as there is great rush and you can miss many rides.

Beautiful church. A small basilica when compared with South Indian churches. Has a vast well maintained lawn. A wonderful place to pray. A heritage church considering its age. From New Delhi it can be reached either by taxi/cab or car. Else, if by metro, reach New Ashok Nagar metro station on Blue line. After exit take erickshaw to reach NAMO metro station. You can reach Meerut South (as on date of review the last station). Exit and take a share auto to reach Sardana byepass ( also known as Kankarkhera mod). From there take a bus to Sardana. Get down at Police Chowki, just before the terminus. Take an erickshaw to reach the church. The metro travel has wait time and transit time, approximately around 2.5 hours, one way. Round trip cost would come to around INR 500. For a solo traveller, this suits financially. If one wants to devote time to pray, a full day time would be needed. Caution: There are no good eateries or restaurants in or around the church.

The Basilica of Our Lady of Graces, commonly known as Sardhana Church, is a Roman Catholic minor basilica located in Sardhana, Uttar Pradesh, India, about 19 km northwest of Meerut. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, it is the largest church in North India and the only minor basilica in the region. Built in 1822 by Begum Samru (born a Muslim nautch girl, who converted to Catholicism in 1781 and became India's only Catholic ruler), the structure was designed by Italian architect Antonio Reghellini, drawing inspiration from St. Peter's Basilica in Rome with neoclassical, Palladian, and Indian elements like a central Islamic-style dome. Pope John XXIII elevated it to minor basilica status on December 13, 1961, recognizing its historical and architectural significance. The site features a marble tomb of Begum Samru sculpted by Adamo Tadolini and attracts pilgrims, especially during the annual November novena.

Barbecue restaurant
Barbeque Nation, a renowned restaurant chain, offers the convenience of tableside cooking and buffet-style meals. This popular establishment is known for its delectable barbecue dishes. With a pleasant ambiance and courteous staff, it guarantees an enjoyable dining experience. The menu features appetizing starters and desserts that are both delicious and flavorsome. Moreover, their main courses showcase unique culinary creations with mouthwatering flavors and enticing aromas.
Amazing experience , there was a really sweet worker named Radhika and another named Veeru who were extremely helpful and served everything very well. I really liked how Radhika didn't judge me literally inhaling the place (took five servings of every single thing-mind you)

The Greater Noida outlet is almost like any other Bbq Nation Outlet, maybe has 1-2 items less. The restaurant has enough space and had good live singing (very enthusiastic and engaging singer) the time we visited (26th July 2024). The staff was polite and courteous. Since this is in Greater Noida, don't always expect the gentry, as during our visit some uncouth local jaat-gurjar groups started behaving rowdy and the staff had to intervene and ask them to leave after which they started hurling abuses to them. Anyway, the outlet in itself is nice and I recommend it whenever you are in greater noida and looking for a buffet place with reasonable prices. 👍🏻

The only nice mall in the city of meerut. Although it is quite far from my location it takes almost 30 mins to reach. But the experience here not less than the malls in other big cities. Thus it still lacks in the availability of many big brands. Mall is hygienic and cleanliness level is up to the mark. It also has cinema inside and it has newly opened gaming arena for kids. A must visit place in meerut as food court offers quality food and service.

Shri Baba Augharnath Shiv Mandir

Mentioned on
1 list
Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Shri Baba Augharnath Shiv Mandir is a reconstructed Shiva temple and pilgrimage site in Meerut, known for its ornate gopura gates and mythological carvings. This Hindu temple holds both religious and historical significance, as it was the starting point of the great revolt for India's independence in 1857. Located in the Cantonment area of Meerut, this renowned temple is a popular tourist attraction.
It is said that the tree under which Mangal Pandey and his companions planned the revolt of 1857... Was in this temple's premise. But even if you ignore the historical significance of it, the temple in itself is a brilliant piece of architecture, covered in marble stone. Such a luxury it was to visit the temple.
Super P — Google review
Shri Baba Augharnath Shiv Mandir, also known as the Augharnath Temple, is a deeply spiritual and historically significant temple located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple is not only a sacred religious site but also holds a unique place in India’s history, as it is associated with the First War of Independence in 1857. It's often referred to as the "Kali Paltan Mandir" due to its connection with the Indian sepoys of that era. The temple architecture is beautiful, combining spiritual ambiance with historical reverence. The Shivling inside the sanctum is powerful, and the daily aarti rituals, especially during early mornings and evenings, are truly divine. The energy here is peaceful and grounding—a perfect place for meditation or quiet prayer. The temple premises are clean and well-maintained, with facilities like shoe racks, drinking water, and seating areas for elderly visitors. Devotees from all over India visit this temple, especially during Mondays and Mahashivratri, when the temple is beautifully decorated and filled with devotional energy. Useful Tips for Visitors: Visit early in the morning for a peaceful darshan and to avoid crowds. Mondays are especially auspicious for Lord Shiva, but expect a larger crowd. Keep your footwear at the designated area; the staff ensures it is safe. Photography inside the temple sanctum is generally not allowed—be respectful of the rules. You can offer milk, belpatra, and flowers, which are easily available from stalls nearby. Try to visit the small museum adjacent to the temple to learn more about its connection to India’s freedom struggle. Parking is available nearby, but it can get crowded during festivals or weekends—plan accordingly. Overall, Shri Baba Augharnath Shiv Mandir is not just a place of worship, but a powerful spiritual and historical destination that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you're a devotee of Lord Shiva or a history enthusiast, this temple is a must-visit in Meerut. Har Har Mahadev! 🕉️🙏

The Kali Paltan Temple in Meerut is one of those rare places where history and spirituality meet perfectly. Known as one of the oldest temples in the city, it’s not just a religious spot but also a symbol of India’s first freedom struggle in 1857. The peaceful atmosphere, the divine energy of Maa Kali, and the old-world charm make it a must-visit for anyone coming to Meerut. The temple is well-maintained, easily accessible, and surrounded by small local shops selling flowers and prasad. Early morning and evening aarti are truly powerful moments the sound of the bells and chants just lift your spirit. If you’re visiting Meerut, don’t miss this temple. It’s not just about worship it’s about feeling the strength and spirit of our history.

Nalli Pulao was good, I tried white chicken it was too rich with oil and the serving curtllary was plastic spoons in a hot dish, which is really dangerous for health. Do not expect a good sitting area while visiting this location.

One of the best place for couples for hanging out. There are entry fee that is Rs. 10 per person and 20 rs per vehicle. Vehicle parking space is enough for this park. There is no water facility inside the park. Some birds are also there and playing stuff is also available for kids. Entry gates are from all sides but only a main gate that is at Roorkee Road, is open for all.

Meerut Gandhi Bagh is a big and clean public garden, ideal for morning walks, family outings, and peaceful relaxation. Its well maintained greenery and open spaces offer a refreshing escape from city life. A great spot for nature lovers and fitness enthusiasts alike.

A very good place to visit in meerut, having plenty of area to walk and sit. Well maintained parks, having flower plants , ducks, rabbits, and boat ride inside the park. Gandhi park have open gym for morning and evening exercises. We can see many of them walking around there. Also there is an old well which is moved from Delhi to meerut. Place to sit and relax, statues, children play area, Having coffee shops coffee ☕, ice-cream🍦 parlours 🍿🥧etc. Well crowded in festival times.actually the disappointing thing is lovers, if u are in single u feel alone because there are too many couples there👩‍❤️‍👨. I suggest to come in pair😉.
Bineesh B — Google review
Good place to visit with family also, as the biggest garden of the city, contains flowers, greenery, fountain with music, ducks, pigeons, rats, rabbits etc. Children park is also there with almost all kinds of swings (jhule). Peaceful as situated in cantonment. You can also have snacks items inside the garden. A small boating area (include ticket)is also good but need to be cleaned. They also have put some small charges (approx Rs 30) per person entry. Overall good experience of refreshment over the city rush.
Shubham J — Google review
Very well structured for civilians(neighborhood) , specially in the evening they spend time with nature because the garden is full of trees and open gym for children. The water shower (phabbara) attract the people. But if you are going there for something new you will get nothing but a water shower ( without any music just water flow) surrounded by many trees that you have seen in the park. In addition to every person have to give 20 rs per head charge without any receipt I think that is not reasonable. I spent half an hour in the park so the amount was high, if you spend a whole day then you can afford this money. So this is what I feel.

A decent place to spend some time though not comparable to water parks in Delhi NCR. Ample parking space is available. Children below 39 inches of height can enter free. Entry for adults is @600. You can hire swimming costumes/towels/lockers @100 each. Hardly anyone was there in a proper swimming costume. They have a small cafeteria inside.
Sandeep S — Google review
The place is nice but the pool depth is just around 3ft everywhere. While the kids will love it but as an adult you won't. You will hit the floor if you take the higher slide. Someone was telling me that the 5ft pool place was covered for some private function. This is unacceptable. Also signages are poorly placed. For family time this is a good place to hangout for 1-2 hours. Wave pool is just being operated for 10-15 mins. For waterpark entry 600 is being charged now and if you have someone who won't use the waterpark then entry would be 200 but they won't be allowed to enter the pool area.
Tapas P — Google review
Bad things are... you have to pay every corner of water park. You have to pay for costume. So if u want to go there buy Nylon tshirt & Bermuda. Even baby have to follow the dress code. You cant take outside food. There is no hanger in male/female changing room you have to put ur garments on floor. Good things are nice place to visit if you want to swim deep pool then dont go there....
Mohammad A — Google review
I visited this place back in 2016 with my friends. At that time, the ticket was ₹450 — it might have increased now. I was coming from Rampur when I saw this place and decided to visit. The area is quite large and perfect for kids, picnics, and various activities. There’s a spacious park, a stage where you can dance, and several facilities for physical activities. During the summer, the waterpark here gets really crowded, so plan your visit accordingly. Overall, it’s a great spot to spend time with friends and family. I would definitely recommend visiting at least once!

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Girija Devi Temple is a quaint and serene temple located on a hilltop overlooking the Kosi River. Accessible by a pedestrian river footbridge, it sits amidst scenic forested surroundings, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Despite its small size, the temple's serene ambiance and decked up idol of Devi make it a compelling destination for visitors.
This temple is available in a beautiful location near Dhikuli. It is a riversideview where you can enjoy swimming as well, being careful with children. Established 8-10 km from Ramnagar town, this temple is quite old and famous. You need to climb around 50-60 stairs to go there. After that you can enjoy the riverside view and click some really wonderful pictures. 4 KM away there is the Dhangarhi museum, which is a bonus for kids. Both places are must visit if you are going to Ramnagar or Jim Corbett National Park.

Garjiya Devi Temple in Ramnagar is truly a hidden gem! The location is absolutely beautiful, and being right by the riverside adds a serene charm to the whole experience. It’s not just a spiritual place but also an awesome spot for a picnic with family and friends. However, one concern I had was the littering around the river. It takes away from the natural beauty and peaceful vibe of the area. I really hope visitors become more responsible, and some proper dustbins and awareness signs are put up. Also, having toilets easily accessible below the bridge would be a great help. It would ensure cleanliness in the temple premises and make the overall experience even better. Highly recommend visiting, but let’s all do our part to keep this place clean and beautiful!
Sunita R — Google review
This is a beautiful temple located by the riverside, surrounded by a serene and scenic environment. The location is excellent, and you can even take a bath or play in the river. To reach the Devi, you’ll need to climb some steep steps, but it’s truly worth it. An excellent place to visit, though weekends can get crowded.”
Sai R — Google review
A truly memorable moment at one of the best temples—beginning with divine darshan and receiving the sacred prashad. After offering prayers, sitting peacefully by the riverside brings unmatched calm. The crystal-clear water flows gently, so pure you can even drink it. A perfect blend of devotion and serenity.

Beautiful temple located near the riverside with amazing views all around. There are a couple of steep stairs to reach the temple and it can get crowded during the weekends.

I have visited this place during my visit to Ramnagar. I have not visited the temple inside so can't comment on it but it has big lines to go inside the temple. Beside that there is a beautiful river which is must visit place. There you can take bath in water and devour with Maggie and basic food which is really a good place for hangout with friends and family.
Apeksha D — Google review
Visiting the Girija Devi Temple🛕 was truly a peaceful and serene experience. Nestled amidst natural beauty, the temple offers a spiritual retreat like no other. Situated on top of a small hillock in the middle of the Kosi River, the temple’s unique location adds to its charm and sacred aura🏔️🏞️ To reach the temple, one must climb a steep staircase, which can be a bit challenging but ultimately rewarding. The panoramic view from the top, coupled with the divine atmosphere, makes the effort worthwhile. Devotees come here to seek the blessings of Devi Girija, and the temple exudes a strong sense of devotion and tranquility🌿🌷 ❗️During peak travel seasons and holidays, expect long queues and a fair amount of waiting. The narrow passage and steep steps can make the ascent difficult, especially for senior citizens or those with mobility issues. It's advisable to avoid the climb if you have any health concerns related to walking or climbing. 💫Overall, the Girija Devi Temple is a must-visit for spiritual seekers and those looking to experience natural beauty along with divinity. Just be prepared for a bit of a climb—and a truly rewarding experience at the top🌟

The photographer is also available in the park who can click photos while doing all the adventurous activities.

Decent waterfalls, near Corbett Museum. At the entry, there's a ticket counter, post which you can take your car inside the forest. There's a short hike post the parking, which although short, has a bunch of stairs, elders, be advised. The steps, carved of stone, are infused with algae and chances of slipping are prevalent. The place is really beautiful in monsoon. Throughout the hike they also have some adventure activities like sky cycling, ziplining etc, which were closed however citing rain (there wasn't any). I suppose it's up to their mood to close / open. There's also a small cafe and souvenir shop near the parking area, although there are very limited options.

I recently visited Corbett Falls, and it was a delightful experience! The ticket charge is 100 rupees per person, but it's free for kids, which is a nice bonus for families. The location is very convenient, situated on the road near the Girja Devi Temple, making it easy to access. There's ample parking space available, and you can drive your car up to 200 meters from the waterfall, which is quite convenient. The falls themselves are beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and offering a peaceful atmosphere. The trek to the waterfall involves crossing a small wooden bridge, which adds to the charm of the experience. Along the way, you can spot small fishes in the clear waters, making it a fun adventure for kids. Speaking of kids, this spot is perfect for families! There is a kids' zone where children can play, and even some fun activities like sky cycling. The entire area is well-maintained and clean, making it a great place for kids to enjoy nature in a safe environment. The sound of the waterfall and the natural beauty of the surroundings make it an ideal spot for relaxation and photography. Overall, Corbett Falls is a fantastic destination for families, nature lovers, and those looking to enjoy a peaceful day out. The combination of scenic beauty, ease of access, and fun activities for kids makes it a place worth visiting if you're in the area.

1. Little hectic to get parking even though they have parking place. 2. From main entrance to waterfall is quite long so suggest you to go in two/four wheeler rather than walk. 3. Good jungle atmosphere. 4. Plenty of food option available but little costly than normal ( ex - 1 lemonade glass = 60₹ ) 5. Man made marble pool around the waterfall. 6. Thats it go and explore more !

I am a nature enthusiast. The day i visited was rainy so the place was prettier than it usually would be as the lush green area around the waterfall was humid and was very pleasant. This is the only place you can visit while in Jim Corbett to be closer to nature other than safari.

This was very good experience. A must visit place while going towards Nainital after Jim Corbett. Entry fee is Rs 50 and Car fees is Rs 100. You have to take your vehicle with you for around a kilometer. The waterfall was great. Zip line and zip-cycling actvity was also there with extra charges. My son enjoyed the zip-line activity very much. A small canteen is also there.

The Jim Corbett Museum is located in the former home of conservationist Jim Corbett, situated on the tiger reserve named in his honor. It's a popular stop during a visit to the Jim Corbett National Park. The museum offers an insightful look into Corbett's life and legacy, showcasing artifacts and information about his adventures and dedication to wildlife conservation. Visitors can explore exhibits detailing his childhood, family history, and work experience. The museum also features personal items such as furniture used by Corbett.
The Jim Corbett Museum is a great place to spend 1–2 hours learning about the history and fascinating facts of Corbett National Park. I visited there on Friday and morning and spends 1-2 hours with my kids knowing about history of Corbett national park. The museum is well-maintained and features preserved tiger sculptures along with their original skins, accompanied by details about their causes of death. Museum offer a visual screen shows to know behaviour of animals and various attractions that engage children, helping them learn about birds, animals, and their sounds. Ticket price is rupees hundred which is worth… I recommend to visit Corbett museum to explore and know about history of Jim Corbett nation park.. Have a great learning visit

The first thing I want to mention here is that this museum is different from the Dhangarhi Museum. In Dhangadhi, the museum is especially good to visit with kids, and you can find there real skin of tigers, leopards, and elephants showcased. Here in the Jim Corbett Museum, this is the winter residence of Col. Jim Corbett, which is now converted into a museum. Here you can see some of his crockery, his furniture, and a camera obscura used by Corbett. The house is well maintained and clean. There is a souvenir shop where some textiles, keychains, and books written by Corbett are also available. You can see the grave of his two dogs who stayed with him while hunting. The price of ticket is 100 per person and free for kids.

Nice place to stop but narrative around Corbett should be placed in the context of colonial history. The home and surrounding garden are adequately maintained but are sparse. The gift shop has interesting pieces. The Rs. 100 entry fee is too high for the quality of the displays. The high fee would also be a barrier against locals coming here. Given Corbett's beliefs on social equity this fee should be reconsidered at least for local residents.

Okayish museum to learn about the life and upbringing of Jim Corbett. It's not much of a museum but rather images on display. I expected to see ancient artifacts, maybe the tools / guns he used to hunt etc. For the price they charge (100/- per ticket), the experience isn't very immersive. There are two small huts / cottages with pictures inside and in one you can see empty shelves that were probably gun racks before. The vicinity of the museum houses a souvenir shop which has a nice collection of T shirts, caps, local spices etc. Nice touch.

Great museum. We got to know the park's history and about the hunter "Jim" Edward James Corbett. We also got to know about different animals. There was a forest at night section and even a theatre.
Niharika A — Google review
Good ambience, people spend too much money for being there, to experience the nature and obviously to see the Tigers. I wonder, no one can see the Tigers. Jangal Safari is ok.
Madhav D — Google review
The museum doesn’t have much to see, so the ticket price of ₹100 doesn’t feel worth it. However, there is a souvenir shop inside and a nice park which makes the visit worthwhile.

Well maintained small museum to learn about Jim Corbetts life. Restrooms available. ₹100 ticket for adults. ₹50 for senior citizens.

The place is well maintained but the people here are so misogynistic. Even the local people outside University while passing through the university road eve tease female students, click pictures of them and even ogle at them. The authority only restricts the movement of girls and judge the girl victims whenever any case of eve teasing or harassment comes up. You can't expect justice here at the very least but if u just want to enjoy the nature, you come definitely visit. The professors are good too.

Koshi River, also known as Saptakoshi River, is a major river in South Asia flowing through Nepal and forming a natural boundary with India. The Koshi Barrage, built between 1958 and 1962 with 56 gates, allows vehicular and pedestrian traffic between Saptari and Sunsari districts of Nepal near the Indian border. Originating from Himalayan glaciers, the river runs approximately 729 kilometers before merging with the Ganges River in India.

The Koshi River, also called the Sapta Koshi for its seven major tributaries. This is one of the largest rivers in Nepal, originating in the Himalayas, it flows southward, cutting through the Mahabharat Range and the Churia Hills before entering the Terai plains. The Koshi is significant for its immense water volume and its role in irrigation, hydropower generation, and supporting diverse ecosystems, including the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. However, its volatile nature, particularly during monsoon seasons, has earned it the moniker "Sorrow of Bihar" in India due to frequent devastating floods.

I traveled by bike to the Koshi River, and it was an incredible experience. The journey was thrilling, with scenic landscapes, fresh air, and the excitement of the open road. Riding alongside the river, I felt a deep sense of peace as I took in the vast expanse of water and the surrounding natural beauty. Watching the sunset over the river made the trip even more memorable, making it a truly refreshing and unforgettable adventure.

The Kosi River near Mathura is a peaceful and scenic spot that offers a refreshing break from the hustle of city life. Surrounded by natural beauty and a calm atmosphere, it's a perfect place to relax, take a quiet walk, or simply sit and enjoy the flowing water. I visited during the early morning hours, and the experience was magical – the soft sounds of the river, cool breeze, and the golden sunrise reflecting off the water created a serene setting that felt almost spiritual. It's also a nice stop for those traveling between Delhi and Agra. If you're into photography or nature, you’ll appreciate the picturesque views, especially during the monsoon when the river is fuller and the surroundings are lush and green. While it's not a major tourist destination, that’s part of its charm – it remains relatively untouched and peaceful. Just make sure to keep the place clean and respect the natural environment. Highly recommend for a short visit if you're passing through the area or exploring the Mathura region.
