Nathula Pass is a stunning mountain pass nestled in the Himalayas, connecting India with China's Tibet Autonomous Region. This historic pass was once traversed by mules carrying valuable goods along the ancient Silk Road. At an elevation of 14,450 feet, it stands as one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Visitors can partake in Yak safaris and witness the border gates between India and China.
A beautiful place situated in Indo-China border. You can see the chinese post from this place. Nathula Pass is one of three open border posts for trade between India and China. Indian citizen need a permit to visit this place. The permit can be obtained by submitting Voter card/Passport, PAN through a registered travel agency. As per the information Nathula pass remains close for visitors on Monday. This place is situated at an altitude around 14200 feet above sea level. We visited mid Oct therefore haven't seen any snow fall or not even get any road closure. The day was shiny and sky was total clear. From last 3 kms people are only allowed to go with big vehicles and one can hire a shared vehicle from Tsomgo lake. It was a worth visiting Nathula.

A Pass at an Altitude of 14140 feet. It's a border of India with china.in tourist season there is too much rush and risks of stampede can arise.keep camphor handy to smell and drink water at regular intervals.

This place is very dependent on visitor. Young people can visit with no problem, but children and old people will SURELY have many problems, nausea, vomiting and fainting. Overall very nice, gives a sense of nationalism. Many small details to see.

Scenic roads leading right up to the border from Gangtok, Sikkim. The roads here are constructed and managed by BRO who do an amazing job of ensuring the road is in top condition. Army personnel manning the roads and check points are extremely helpful and polite. Good food joints dot the entire stretch.

Nathula Pass is a high-altitude mountain pass in Sikkim, India, which connects the state to China's Tibet Autonomous Region, serving as one of the three open trading border posts. Historically, it was a major part of the ancient Silk Route and is now a popular tourist destination known for its breathtaking Himalayan views, its strategic Indo-China border location, and proximity to sights like Tsomgo Lake and Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple. Visiting requires a special permit for Indian citizens.
Pawan K — Google review
Visiting Nathula Pass was truly one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I went there with my friends during our trip to Sikkim, and we started from Gangtok early in the morning. The drive itself was scenic, with winding roads and breathtaking mountain views. As we climbed higher, the temperature dropped drastically, and soon we were surrounded by thick snow. When we reached Nathula, the entire area was covered in a beautiful white blanket of snow. It was freezing cold, but the excitement kept us warm. We had a great time playing in the snow, clicking pictures, and just soaking in the surreal atmosphere. It felt like we were on top of the world! Nathula Pass is located at an altitude of 14,140 feet (4,310 meters) above sea level, making it one of the highest motorable roads in the world. One of the main highlights was visiting the Indo-China border. We could actually see the Chinese side guarded by their army, and it was both thrilling and a bit emotional to stand so close to an international boundary. Of course, you are not allowed to cross it, and the army presence is very strict, but it was fascinating to see. The place was quite crowded, with many tourists braving the cold to witness this high-altitude wonder. Overall, Nathula Pass was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I’ll always cherish. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sikkim!
SP S — Google review
Unforgettable climb to the Indo-China border. Though it was not there in our original itinerary, our car driver helped us visit Nathula Pass. It was a great decision as we got the opportunity to see a marvellous hill station. We had enough warm clothes but we were not really prepared for the thin air at a height of 4300 meters. It was a novel experience. And the slippery ice. And the presence of Indian military personnel everywhere. And the large crowd assembled there to visit the Pass. Though photography was not permitted at the top, we could stay there sufficiently long to get a clear view of the border and could see a few Chinese soldiers as well as a couple of mechanics kin the Chinese territory.

It is important to know the historical Nathula Pass between India and China that was used for trade. On 8 November, 2025, I visited Nathula Pass, there was no snow fall, temperature quit low, that is in between 5 to 9 degrees centigrade.

Baba Harbhajan Singh Shrine

Mentioned on
4 lists
Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple, also known as Baba Mandir, is a memorial and temple dedicated to the Indian army soldier Baba Harbhajan Singh. Situated at an impressive altitude of 13,123 ft between the Nathula Pass and Jelep La Pass, this temple is a posthumous tribute to the brave soldier.
Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple in Sikkim is easily one of the most unique and memorable places I have visited, blending history, faith, and breathtaking Himalayan scenery in a deeply moving way. Located on the road between Gangtok and Nathula at an altitude of over 13,000 feet, the temple is not a typical shrine. It was built to honor Baba Harbhajan Singh, a soldier of the Indian Army who died in 1968 under unusual circumstances, yet is still revered as a protector of the nation. The story goes that Harbhajan Singh was serving with the Army when he tragically lost his life while escorting a mule column. Soon after his passing, fellow soldiers began experiencing visions of him warning them about threats and guiding patrols. These accounts became so widespread that the Army built a shrine in his memory. Over the decades, his presence has been so strongly felt that many soldiers believe his spirit still guards the mountain passes and even alerts the Army about potential dangers along the Indo-China border. His belongings, including his uniform and boots, are kept here with reverence, and the temple is treated like a living memorial. The atmosphere of the temple is serene, with fluttering prayer flags and the cold mountain air adding to its mystique. Visitors can see his bed and personal items maintained as if he were still present. For soldiers, it is a place of pride and respect, while for civilians, it is a deeply humbling experience that shows how one man’s memory can transcend even death. The drive up is as memorable as the destination, with winding mountain roads, snow-draped peaks, and clouds brushing the valleys below. Given the high altitude, it is important to carry warm clothes and be prepared for thinner oxygen levels, which some may find challenging. Despite these conditions, the experience is worth every effort. A small tea stall nearby offering hot tea and snacks adds warmth to the otherwise harsh landscape. Overall, Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple is much more than a tourist stop. It is a place where history, patriotism, and spirituality meet on sacred ground. Standing here, one not only feels the weight of legend but also the unbreakable spirit of devotion that continues to protect this beautiful region of Sikkim.
Priyak M — Google review
◻️ Located high up in the mountains at around 13,000 ft, the surroundings are absolutely stunning and peaceful. ◻️ The temple is maintained by the Indian Army, and everything is kept clean and well-organised. ◻️ You’ll need a permit to visit since it’s a protected area, but the process is simple if arranged beforehand. ◻️ The whole place has a very calm and spiritual vibe — prayer flags fluttering in the cold wind make it even more beautiful. ◻️ The soldiers posted there were extremely polite and helpful, guiding visitors with genuine warmth. ◻️ Honestly, my perspective of the army changed after meeting them — they were respectful, kind, and very down to earth. ◻️ The temple preserves Baba Harbhajan Singh’s belongings, like his uniform and boots, and the soldiers shared his story with a lot of respect. ◻️ I also want to mention the Sikh community — their devotion and the way everything is managed really touched me. ◻️ Overall, this place isn’t just a tourist spot; it’s a place of peace, faith, and respect. A must-visit when you’re in Sikkim.

The Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple, also known as Baba Mandir, is a revered shrine located near the Nathula Pass in East Sikkim. It honors Captain Harbhajan Singh, a soldier of the Indian Army who is believed to have died in 1968 but whose spirit is said to continue guarding the border. 🛕 Key Highlights Location: Situated at an altitude of over 13,000 feet between Nathula and Jelepla passes, near Kupup and Gnathang Valley. Legend: After his death, fellow soldiers claimed he appeared in dreams, guiding them to his body and requesting a memorial be built. This legend has turned the site into a pilgrimage destination. Old vs New Mandir: Old Baba Mandir: Built near Chhokya Chho, where his bunker and belongings are preserved. Less visited but deeply spiritual. New Baba Mandir: More accessible and frequented by tourists, located en route to Nathula Pass. Rituals: Devotees leave bottles of water at the temple and collect them later, believing they are blessed by Baba’s spirit. Atmosphere: The temple is maintained by the Indian Army and features a photo of Baba Harbhajan Singh in uniform, his bed, and personal items. 📍 Visitor Info Detail Information 📌 Address 9R8Q+85V, Phadamchen, Sikkim 737102, India ⏰ Hours Opens daily at 9 AM (currently closed) ⭐ Rating 4.7 stars from over 7,700 reviews

A place to visit -MUST while in SIKKIM. Also to make sure visit old harbhajan singh temple. Thanks to Indian Army for serving low rate good food at this place. Jai hind.

A small yet good stop to visit when going to or coming back from Nathula pass. This place is an inspiration to our soldiers ! You can get eating options here and can add this as a stop on your trip. There is an issue with parking here. You would need to coordinate with your driver to meet at a certain point. The police patrolling ensures the cars keep moving, so we had to be quick in getting into the car. This place is also a no drone zone. So it’s better to be informed and not carry or fly any drones in this area.

A Patriotic place to visit while U go to Natula, Sikkim. Where our Brave soldier gave his life for our Country. It's a quiet place to enjoy. Along the road u can see Army camps which r restricted to take photos. Prasad served for tourists.

Tsongmo Lake, also known as Chhangu Lake, is a stunning glacial lake located in East Sikkim. Accessible by a gondola ride, the oval-shaped lake sits at an altitude of 12,313 ft and remains frozen during winter, offering a mesmerizing view. Surrounded by snowy mountains, the lake is considered sacred and holds significance in local myths and rituals. Visitors can enjoy picnics by the crystal-clear waters while taking in breathtaking mountain views.
We visited during foggy weather. It's truly very beautiful when the skies are clear! There's a temple nearby, and the waste management in the area is impressively good. Just a heads-up, the yak owners here charge money if you want to take photos with their yaks. Riding the Yaks is another story, they give you a full tour on their Yak backs, you must know how to bargain the prices as they will quote a lot.
Ashish B — Google review
Changu Lake, often called Tsomgo Lake, lies nestled amidst dramatic Himalayan peaks at an altitude of around 12,313 feet, only a short 40-kilometer drive from Gangtok in Sikkim. This serene glacial lake, famed for its stunning palette of blues and emeralds, enchants every traveler who lays eyes on its tranquil surface surrounded by wild, snowy mountains. During the cold months, the lake transforms into a mirror of ice, shimmering under clear blue skies, while the warmer seasons unveil a bloom of vibrant wildflowers like rhododendrons, poppies, primulas, irises, and alpine foliage that adorn its shores with a painterly riot of colors. Local folklore infuses Changu Lake with mystical aura: it is said to be the abode of protective deities, and Sikkimese Buddhists and Hindus alike revere it as sacred, regularly visiting for rituals and faith healing. In ancient times, Buddhist Lamas would read the lake’s shifting hues to prophesy fortunes. Guru Purnima celebrations fill the lakeside with prayers, and legends speak of Lamas and shamans gathering here, their rituals blending into the whisper of cold mountain winds. The best time to visit the lake is between April and June, when the last traces of winter melt and the valleys come alive with flowers and birds – including migratory Brahminy ducks and the dazzling red panda. September through November is ideal for crisp air and crystal-clear vistas, while January to May sees the lake frozen in untouched grandeur, perfect for those seeking the otherworldly beauty of ice and snow. Monsoon months are best avoided due to landslides and travel difficulties. Traveling to Changu Lake means winding along the scenic Gangtok-Nathula highway, either in a private cab, shared jeep, or organized tour. The journey itself is unforgettable, with spectacular abrupt gradients and waterfalls en route. Access requires a restricted area permit, so all documentation should be carried without fail. Travel accessories make the difference between comfort and hardship. Visitors should pack thermal layers, warm jackets, rain gear for unpredictable shifts, and sturdy waterproof shoes for icy terrain. A well-stocked backpack with snacks, water, travel permits, sunscreen, and camera is essential. Yak rides along the lakeside offer a charming local experience, and kiosks at the shore sell warm tea, yak cheese, local trinkets, and provide snow boots or gumboots on hire. Changu Lake is more than a destination; it is a soulful, aesthetic journey into the heart of Sikkim’s culture and nature—a place where myths live in shimmering waters and every moment spent feels carved out of poetry and wonder.

The Tsongmo lake is very calm and beautiful nestled in between the mountains. The water is crystal clear. The weather was very sunny and windy, it was tough to stable. If you are planning to visit nathula please spare some time for this lake. We ride the cable car and went to the highest pick of the mountain. The road was awesome and the scenario is marvelous. You can bargain for cheap YAK ride as well.

Tsomgo Lake – A Must-Visit in North Sikkim! I got the chance to visit Tsomgo Lake during Durga Puja 2025, and wow — what a stunning place! The lake itself is beautiful, with greenish water surrounded by majestic mountains on all sides. It’s peaceful, scenic, and just the kind of spot that makes you stop and soak it all in. The ropeway ride was a highlight — super smooth and well-managed by the Indian Army. The views from the top were absolutely breathtaking! Also, the Yaks there are strong, healthy, and add a fun twist to the experience. Riding one around the lake felt like stepping into a postcard. Honestly, Tsomgo Lake is one of those places that’s worth visiting in any season. Whether you're into nature, photography, or just want a break from the usual, this spot has something special.

🕰️ Best Time to Visit April to June and October to December are the best months. Summer (Apr–Jun): Clear skies, turquoise blue water, perfect for photos. Winter (Oct–Dec): Snow all around, semi-frozen lake—pure magic. Avoid monsoons (Jul–Sep) due to landslides and poor visibility. 🚗 How to Reach From Gangtok: ~40 km, 1.5–2 hours drive. You must take a Sikkim-authorised vehicle (local taxis only). Private cars are not allowed beyond a point. Permit Required: Yes, you need a Protected Area Permit (PAP) which your hotel/taxi driver will arrange. Roads are scenic but steep—go early to avoid rush and fog. 🌄 Attractions Nearby Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir (Old & New Baba Mandir): A revered and peaceful military shrine. Nathu La Pass: Indo-China border; requires special permit (closed Mon–Tue). Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary: Home to rare Himalayan flora and wildlife. Menmecho Lake: A quieter, offbeat turquoise lake—hidden gem! Tsomgo Ropeway: For an aerial view of the lake (seasonal).

Waterfalls
Nestled in the serene hills of Pelling, Kanchenjunga Falls is a breathtaking natural wonder that captivates all who visit. This majestic waterfall, one of the largest in Sikkim, cascades from an impressive height of 100 feet, originating from the glaciers of Mount Kanchenjunga—the third highest peak globally.
A few days ago, I had the pleasure of visiting Kanchenjunga Falls in Pelling, Sikkim, and it was an experience that truly captivated me. The entry fee was a modest ₹20 per person, making it an affordable outing for anyone looking to connect with nature without breaking the bank. As I approached the falls, the sound of rushing water grew louder, building anticipation. When I finally caught sight of the falls, I was taken aback by their sheer beauty. The water cascaded down from a height of approximately 100 feet, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. The surrounding area was lush and green, adding to the serene atmosphere. The falls are perennial, ensuring a steady flow of water throughout the year, which only enhances their charm. Around the falls, there were several stalls offering a variety of snacks and refreshments. It was a pleasant touch, allowing visitors to relax and enjoy some local treats while taking in the view. For those seeking a bit of adventure, there's also a rope sliding activity available for ₹100, adding an extra thrill to the visit. Overall, my visit to Kanchenjunga Falls was a delightful escape into nature. The combination of the stunning waterfall, the affordable entry fee, and the convenience of nearby stalls made it a memorable experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat close to nature.

It's a very beautiful and quiet place when we visited with zero tourist. Had the entire waterfall to ourself. One best part to visit during monsoon season when we can see the waterfall on its full form. Don't be stunned with just the one near the road, do go up the stairs and get lost in the beauty of another waterfall.
Mahen K — Google review
It is a huge waterfall and water is coming very fast. Go upstairs to see the actual waterfall. Zip lining is available in this place. It’s a budget thing to experience if you are interested. There is a entry fee of 20 rupees per person for this waterfall and zip lining will cost 100 if you pay online.( Rate as of October 2025)

If you love waterfalls then this place is a must visit when you go to Sikkim. It’s near the city of Pelling which is a part of western Sikkim. There are two points for this falls, make sure to go for the one that is above. Doesn’t cost much to go above. Don’t forget to take nice pictures!

It's a water falls right on the road to Pelling. It's a beautiful high falls with quite huge water. There is a small falls right on the roadside but the main falls is located little inside where you could reach after a little walk and a flight of steel stairs. Entry fee is Rs. 20/- per head. Nice place to spend sometime to enjoy the falls.

Delo Park is a lovely spot to spend some peaceful time amidst nature. The park offers several scenic viewpoints that provide breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and landscapes. A small entry fee is required, which is quite reasonable for the experience it offers. Horse rides are available inside the park, which is a fun activity, especially for kids. It's also great to see that the park maintains an eco-friendly approach by not allowing plastic inside. However, the park could benefit from better maintenance in certain areas to enhance the overall visitor experience. With a little more care, it has the potential to be an even more beautiful and well-kept destination.

Beautiful resort, with amazing decor and friendly staff. It is centrally located. There are two lifts, one from the parking lot and another from the front entrance. The resort is spacious and spread over different levels. The parking, though available, is limited. The food is good but the buffet is too expensive compared to the choice of dishes offered. Rooms are spacious, with good heating arrangement, but the wardrobe space is limited. The mobile signal of most national networks is intermittent, but the WiFi connectivity is good. The reason for the 4 star ⭐ rating is mainly the intercom. Every time you wish to dial another room, you have to go through the operator.

Beautiful resort, with amazing decor and exceptional hospitality. All aminities available, centrally located. My only concern was with the food. I generally avoid buffets as food in buffet is most of the times average and also you tend to overeat. I stayed there for 4 nights and opted for the alacarte dining. Choice of items is limited, more over the preparation/ taste of food is very very average, rather below average for the dishes I had ordered......absolutely not expected from a star rated property. Will I stay there again - Yes Will i dine there - No

My 2-year old son, wife and I stayed in there for 3 nights and here is my honest experience. Please note we stayed in Lloyd's cottage so the room related details are specific to the room. Rest of it is generic Hotel itself is excellent - huge and spread out hotel with a colonial heritage. impeccably maintained. Service - The BEST part. We had been quite demanding, keeping in mind we had an infant with us. Every request was kept with a smile. Amenities - Cannot imagine needing anything else from a hotel. They provided slippers, bathrobe, even umbrellas, there was a playroom for children as well. Food - the breakfast spread was excellent. The Ala carte menu was decent. Location - Not exactly on the mall but just a 10 min walk in a quieter neighbourhood. Possibly less so for fitter people. Room and view - very decently sized room. We had a balcony with a valley view. Overall we were extremely satisfied with our stay. Our heartfelt thanks to each employee.

Tiger Hill, situated 2590 meters above sea level and 13 kilometers from Darjeeling, is renowned for its breathtaking sunrise views. It offers a spectacular sight of the sun illuminating the peaks of Kanchenjunga before it appears at lower altitudes. This hill is also the summit of Ghoom, the highest railway station on the Darjeeling Himalayan Train route, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Dear folks I'm reviewing Most beautiful place in Darjeeling. The Tiger Hill. Tiger Hill Sunrise Point is truly a must-visit when in Darjeeling! Located about a 30–40 minute drive from the main city, it’s famous for offering a breathtaking view of the sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range. Ideally, you should plan your visit between 3:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. to catch the magical first rays lighting up the snow-clad peaks. However, do keep in mind that the weather in Darjeeling can be very unpredictable. If clouds are too dense, the majestic Himalayan view might hide itself away! The spot is peaceful and fills you with a deep sense of calm and wonder. With the cool winds blowing. whether you make it for sunrise or visit later in the day, Tiger Hill is absolutely worth every moment — a truly unforgettable experience. Must recommended place in Darjeeling
Dhaara S — Google review
Check for the clouds at around 3am before heading here to get an idea whether you can see the mountains especially the Kanchanjunga. The vehicle management needs to improve. The entire tourist population of Darjeeling will be here with atleast 300 cars on a weekday and more on the weekends. So be ready to walk a bit because your driver will prefer keeping the car at the far end to ease the departure. No official observatory here when I went in the month of October 2025. You'll have some local vendors who serve maggie and momo as well. So enjoy this place and be hopeful that the weather gods bless you

At Tiger Hill before the dawn, The world is quiet, still, and calm. Then slowly, light begins to rise— A golden whisper in the skies. Kangchenjunga wakes in glow, Blushing pink with morning’s show. The Sleeping Buddha shines in gold, A sight that never can grow old. Clouds drift soft, the air is chill, Magic lingers on the hill. In that moment, pure and true— The mountains feel like they’re blessing you. A sunrise framed in heaven’s hue—

Dakshineswar Kali Temple, located on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River near Kolkata, is one of the most sacred and spiritually powerful temples in India. The moment you enter the temple premises, a sense of peace and devotion instantly surrounds you. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhavatarini, an aspect of Goddess Kali, who is believed to liberate her devotees from the cycle of birth and death. Built in the 19th century by Rani Rashmoni, the architecture of the temple is simply mesmerizing — a perfect blend of traditional Bengali style and spiritual grandeur. The main temple stands tall with nine spires, surrounded by twelve shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, and a beautiful Radha-Krishna temple within the same complex. The entire area is immaculately maintained, with clean surroundings and well-organized queues for devotees. Early morning and evening aartis are particularly divine experiences, filled with the sound of bells, conch shells, and devotional chants that create a deeply spiritual atmosphere. The temple is also historically significant as it is associated with Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, who served as the chief priest here and attained his spiritual realization at this very place. His presence still feels alive within the temple grounds, making it a major destination for seekers of inner peace and enlightenment. The nearby ghats on the Hooghly River add to the temple’s charm, allowing devotees to perform rituals or simply sit and meditate by the water. Overall, Dakshineswar Temple is not just a place of worship — it is an experience of devotion, serenity, and timeless spiritual energy. A must-visit for anyone seeking divine blessings and a glimpse into Bengal’s rich spiritual heritage.

A Soulful Sojourn to Dakshineswar Kali Temple Visited: October 2025 Stepping into the sacred grounds of Dakshineswar felt like entering a realm where time pauses and devotion flows like the Hooghly River beside it. The temple’s Navaratna architecture, bathed in morning light, radiates serenity and strength—just like Maa Kali herself. The rhythmic chants, the fragrance of incense, and the sight of devotees in quiet prayer created an atmosphere that was both humbling and elevating. I spent time near the 12 Shiva temples, each echoing centuries of spiritual energy. The evening aarti was a divine spectacle—flames dancing, bells ringing, hearts surrendering. “Mann ki shanti, aankhon mein jyoti—Dakshineswar mein Maa ki mahima hoti.” (A tranquil mind, illuminated eyes—here, the glory of the Mother truly resides.) Location: Easily accessible from central Kolkata Facilities: Clean premises, wheelchair-friendly paths, and helpful staff Tip: Don't miss the local stalls offering Bengali sweets—especially sandesh and kachori near the ghat! 🙏 A must-visit for spiritual seekers, cultural explorers, and anyone longing for a moment of divine connection.

Sights & Landmarks
The Howrah Bridge, also known as Rabindra Setu, is a bustling cantilever road bridge that spans the Hooghly River, connecting Kolkata and Howrah in Bengal. Built by the British and opened in 1943, it is one of the busiest bridges in India. Despite its age, it is referred to as the 'New Howrah Bridge' and stands as an enduring symbol of Kolkata.
The Howrah Bridge in Kolkata, officially known as Rabindra Setu, is not just a bridge – it’s a true engineering marvel and a symbol of Bengal’s pride. Built in 1943, this cantilever bridge connects Howrah and Kolkata across the Hooghly River, carrying millions of people every day. Standing tall without any nuts and bolts, the bridge is held together by riveting steel plates, making it one of the longest cantilever bridges in the world. Its total length is about 705 meters, and it’s often called the “Lifeline of Kolkata” because of the massive traffic it handles – nearly 100,000 vehicles and more than 150,000 pedestrians daily. Walking across the bridge gives you a breathtaking view of the Hooghly River, especially during sunrise or sunset. The sight of ferries, boats, and the bustling ghats below is simply unforgettable. At night, when the bridge is lit up, it looks stunning and adds charm to Kolkata’s skyline. For tourists, the Howrah Bridge is more than just infrastructure – it’s a piece of living history, a cultural icon that has witnessed the growth of Kolkata for over 80 years. For locals, it’s an everyday companion.

Today (24 October 2025), I visited the iconic Howrah Bridge in Kolkata, and I must say, it left me completely amazed. It’s truly a wonder to see how such a massive bridge stands tall without a single supporting pillar in the river — a masterpiece of engineering and design. The place was quite crowded, as expected, but the energy and liveliness around the bridge had its own charm. What fascinated me the most was how beautiful the bridge looked at night when the lights were turned on — the entire structure glowed with elegance, creating a magical view over the Hooghly River. If you really want to experience the true beauty of the Howrah Bridge, I’d suggest seeing it from a boat on the river. The reflection of lights in the water and the calmness of the surroundings make it an unforgettable sight. However, I did feel that the footpath areas could be a bit cleaner and there are too many street vendors, which sometimes makes walking difficult. Also, it surprised me that there were no books or small stalls selling information about the bridge’s history. Being such a historical and symbolic structure, it would be wonderful if tourists could easily find books or pamphlets telling the story behind this great monument. Overall, visiting Howrah Bridge was a memorable and enriching experience — a blend of history, architecture, and human spirit that continues to inspire awe even today.

As I reminisce about our visit to the iconic Howrah Bridge in Kolkata this past October 2025, the memories still linger vividly in my heart. The enchanting boat rides on the Hooghly River, the breathtaking views of the cityscape, and the sheer marvel of the bridge's architecture – all blended together to create an unforgettable experience with dear friends. The ingenuity of the bridge's design, with its suspension structure standing tall without any supporting pillars, is truly a wonder to behold. It was a whale of a time, and the memories of that day will forever be etched in my mind.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crossing the Howrah Bridge is always an awe-inspiring moment for me. The sheer scale and energy around it perfectly capture the spirit of Kolkata. I often stop by just to watch the endless flow of people, trams, and ferries beneath. If you visit during dawn or dusk, you’ll witness some of the most striking views of the Hooghly River. It’s not just a bridge — it’s a living heartbeat of the city.

An iconic symbol of Kolkata and one of the most impressive bridges in India 🌉. The massive steel structure is truly a sight to behold, especially when it’s lit up at night. It’s always bustling with life — cars, pedestrians, and the scenic view of the Hooghly River make it an unforgettable experience. Walking across the bridge gives you a real feel of the city’s energy and charm. A must-visit landmark for anyone exploring Kolkata! 📸 Tip: Visit early morning or evening for great photos and to enjoy the view without heavy traffic

Visiting the Howrah Bridge was an unforgettable experience for me. Standing proudly over the Hooghly River in Kolkata, this iconic structure truly reflects India’s engineering brilliance and cultural heritage. I was amazed by its massive size, strength, and the way it connects the busy city of Kolkata with Howrah. The bridge feels alive with the continuous movement of people, cars, buses, and cycles, yet it stands so sturdy and powerful even after more than eight decades. The bridge, officially named Rabindra Setu, was opened to the public in 1943 during British rule. It is one of the longest cantilever bridges in the world and was built without using any nuts or bolts, which makes it a true marvel of design and construction. The structure is made of steel and perfectly designed to handle heavy traffic every day. As I walked across the bridge, I felt the cool breeze from the river and enjoyed the stunning view of the city skyline and boats below. The evening lights made the bridge look even more beautiful.

The flower market is not to be missed. Incredibly beautiful and photogenic. Take the time to walk through the alleyways of the flower market to see the different "specialists.". There is also an excellent ghat (along the river) on the backside of the market from which to take amazing photos of the Howrah Bridge.

--- The **Victoria Memorial** in Kolkata is a breathtaking white-marble monument set in the heart of Maidan, offering a serene escape in the city’s bustling core. Built between 1906 and 1921 in memory of Queen Victoria, its majestic architecture blends Italian Renaissance with Mughal influences, crowned by a large bronze “Angel of Victory” statue. Inside, the museum features **25 galleries** filled with paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, and memorabilia that trace both the British Raj and India’s freedom movement. The richly landscaped gardens, spanning over 60 acres, are beautifully maintained—perfect for a peaceful walk, photography or simply relaxing. Practical details: the museum is open from **10:00 AM to 6:00 PM** (closed on Mondays and certain national holidays), and garden access runs from early morning until evening. Entry fees are very reasonable: for Indian visitors, around **₹20–₹50**, and slightly higher for foreign visitors. A special highlight is the **light-and-sound “Son-et-Lumiere” show**, which projects Kolkata’s history in 3D mapping on the memorial’s façade. Many visitors describe the show as deeply moving, combining storytelling with visual spectacle. > “The whole show... it's not a half-hearted attempt … there’s 3D mapping … beautifully written as a conversation between the city of Kolkata and the famous angel …” In short: Victoria Memorial is more than a monument — it's a historic museum, architectural marvel, and peaceful green retreat all in one. Walked into Victoria Memorial recently and it felt like stepping into history with a modern Kolkata vibe. The white Makrana marble literally glows, and the Indo-Saracenic architecture is just stunning. The “Angel of Victory” on top? Still majestic. The gardens are the real charm — huge, clean, peaceful, and perfect for morning walks and photos with that mirror-like reflection in the water.Inside, the museum is packed with colonial-era artifacts, paintings, and the famous Calcutta Gallery. A bit old-school in setup, but super insightful. Quick Tips: • Go early to avoid the crowd. • Evening light & sound show is highly recommended. • The whole place feels alive — joggers, families, couples, everyone soaking in the vibe.

Visited recently, and honestly, it's worth every minute. The place is massive, well-maintained, and the architecture hits you the moment you walk in - pure elegance and history mixed perfectly. The museum inside is detailed and organized, not the usual clutter you see in many tourist spots. The gardens are clean, peaceful, and actually enjoyable to walk around. Overall, it was a great visit and an awesome place totally deserving of the hype.

A peaceful place to visit and spend time in the garden. It’s beautiful, especially the garden has lots of trees, pond, sitting benches and it’s a place where one can relax and enjoy a calm time. The monument is a memorial to Queen Victoria and is beautifully designed out of white marble. The dome wiz beautiful. As of 2025 November the ticket pricing is INR 30 for garden, INR 50 for garden and going inside the monument and INR 100 for garden, monument and gallery. You cannot any eatables or water/ liquid inside. Despite restriction on food, people have littered in the garden area , pond area with plastics, ghutka packets ! There should be strict vigilance and fine for such unacceptable behaviour!

Victoria Memorial – Where History Breathes in Marble My recent visit to Victoria Memorial was a walk through time wrapped in elegance. This majestic monument, built in memory of Queen Victoria, stands as a symbol of Kolkata's colonial past and artistic grandeur. Surrounded by lush gardens and reflective ponds, the white marble structure glows with timeless dignity. What made it memorable: - The museum galleries are rich with paintings, manuscripts, and artifacts that narrate India’s journey through the British era. - The architecture, inspired by Indo-Saracenic design, is both regal and serene—perfect for photography and quiet reflection. - The evening light and sound show adds a dramatic layer to the historical experience. Whether you're a history lover, a poet, or a curious traveler, Victoria Memorial offers more than visuals—it offers perspective. Reflection: In the silence of its halls and the symmetry of its gardens, one feels the weight of legacy and the lightness of beauty. A must-visit for anyone seeking inspiration, introspection, or simply a moment of stillness in the heart of Kolkata.

Stepping into the grounds of the Victoria Memorial recently was like walking straight into a page of colonial history, yet with a distinctly contemporary Kolkata vibe. The sheer architectural magnificence of the white Makrana marble structure remains absolutely breathtaking. It truly glows under the sun, and the Indo-Saracenic design, blending European and Mughal elements, is a feast for the eyes. The 'Angel of Victory' atop the main dome looks as majestic as ever. It's impossible not to be awestruck by its scale and grandeur. The gardens are, perhaps, the biggest draw for a lot of people today. They are vast, meticulously manicured, and offer a much-needed green sanctuary in the heart of the bustling city. Walking the paths, especially early in the morning, is incredibly peaceful, with the crisp air and the symmetrical reflection of the Memorial in the surrounding water bodies being perfect for photography. I noticed the lawns were well-maintained and the statues scattered around the park add to the historical atmosphere. Inside the museum, the collection remains rich and insightful. The sheer volume of artifacts—paintings, sculptures, Queen Victoria's personal belongings, and the exhibits tracing Kolkata's colonial-era history (especially the Calcutta Gallery)—requires a good hour or two to properly absorb. It's a proper peek into the British Raj. While some parts feel a bit "old style" in their presentation, the historical value is undeniable. Practical Tips and Experience: Crowds: As expected, the gardens are quite popular, especially on weekends and in the late afternoon. It's highly recommended to go early if you want to enjoy the tranquility and avoid the rush. Light and Sound Show: I didn't get a chance to see the evening show, but it is highly reviewed as a fantastic way to experience the city's history with an added visual spectacle. Vibe: It’s more than just a monument; it’s a living space. You'll see locals jogging, families picnicking, and couples enjoying the atmosphere—it’s a true hub of Kolkata life that happens to be an incredible historical site. Overall, the Victoria Memorial is a must-visit. Whether you're a history buff keen on the museum's galleries or simply looking for a beautiful, serene space for a long walk and incredible photos, the Memorial stands as a powerful, gleaming symbol of the city.

Mandarmani Beach, located in the East Midnapore district of West Bengal, is a popular destination known for its expansive shoreline and vibrant red sand crabs. Tourists from all over the country, especially from Kolkata, visit this clean beach to enjoy activities like swimming, banana boat rides, and jet skiing. Accessible by road or rail, with Contai being the nearest railway station, visitors can hire taxis or cabs to reach the picturesque coastal village.
One of the most beautiful sea beach I've ever seen. One should come here to enjoy the serene, deserted vibe of a sea beach. There are a few small shops here where one can have sipping coconut water alongwith enjoy the picturesque view of this dreamy sea beach. Some resorts and hotels are also available near this beach. If someone loves serenity and peace, then it's the perfect place to enjoy for them .

Mandarmani Beach: A Serene Weekend Escape with a Dash of Adventure Mandarmani has firmly established itself as one of the most popular weekend getaways from Kolkata, offering a calmer and often cleaner alternative to the bustling crowds of Digha. It strikes an excellent balance between a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere and the thrill of adventure sports, making it ideal for families, couples, and groups of friends. The Beach and Atmosphere The main draw of Mandarmani is its impressively long and flat beach. It's famous for being one of the longest motorable beaches in India, and the hard-packed sand creates a unique, expansive landscape, especially during low tide. The atmosphere is generally serene and laid-back. While it's no longer an undiscovered secret, it remains significantly less crowded than Digha, allowing for peaceful walks and private space. The beach is also known for being relatively clean, and you can often spot countless red crabs scuttling along the sand near the 'mohana' (river delta) at the end of the main beach stretch. Things to Do Mandarmani caters to both those looking to relax and those seeking a thrill: Water Sports: The beach is a hub for a variety of water sports. You'll find vendors offering everything from high-speed Jet Ski rides and group Banana Boat rides to exhilarating Parasailing for a bird's-eye view of the coastline. Beach Activities: ATV rides are extremely popular, allowing you to race along the vast expanse of the beach. You can also simply relax at one of the many beachside shacks, enjoying fresh coconut water and delicious seafood. Relax and Unwind: The primary activity for many is simply to enjoy the sea breeze, watch the stunning sunrises and sunsets, and take long, leisurely walks. Travel from Kolkata Getting to Mandarmani is quite straightforward: By Car: This is the fastest and most convenient option, taking approximately 4 to 5 hours depending on traffic. The roads are generally in good condition, though the final stretch leading to the hotels can be narrow. By Bus: Several private and state-run buses ply daily from Kolkata to Mandarmani (Chaulkhola). The journey takes about 4 to 5 hours and is a very affordable option. By Train: The nearest major railway station is Kanthi (Contai). From there, you'll need to hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw for the remaining 30-45 minute journey to the beach. Overall Verdict Mandarmani is an excellent choice for a quick and refreshing coastal escape. It offers a more tranquil environment than its neighbours without being completely isolated. The combination of a beautiful, clean beach, a wide array of activities, and easy accessibility from Kolkata makes it a top-tier destination for a memorable weekend trip.

One of the best beaches in East India if not the best. The beach is has a huge length so there are plenty of hotels and you will always find rooms. The beach is also very good for bathing so everyone can enjoy bathing in the sea. There are multiple water recreational activities available so the more adventurous people can always have fun here. The hotels are situated on the beach so you dont even have to walk, one step and you are on beach. Moreover there are multiple shacks available where you can have food and alcohol. You can go to the shacks and see live fish and chicken, then choose as per your likings and they will cook it for you as per your instructions. You can sit on the shack having alcohol and food enjoying the sea infront of you. There are multiple types of hotels from 5star to budget friendly ones available all along the shore line so you can choose as per your likings. Moreover since alcohol and food is allowed on the beach in shacks you will have a Goa type experience here at much lesser cost. Crabs, hilsa, chicken, mutton to even exotic fishes and meats are available in the shacks here so you will be spoilt for choices. Definitely visit this beach once.

What can I say about Lingaraj Temple, it has such a good history. You can google it anywhere. You will find its history at every place. When was it built, how was it built, where was it built? But I will tell you about the management here. I liked the management here. Now see, the thing is that when you go to keep your shoes or phone here, they will ask you for money and A don't know they charge ₹20 for keeping the phone. They also charge ₹20 for shoes.. I don't know why they do this, I feel that this should be a free service and we should give as much as we wish. After going inside this temple, you will see Lord Shiva. Here inside this temple, you will find many gods. If you want, you can also see them there.

The Lingaraj Temple, nestled in the heart of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, is nothing short of awe-inspiring. As one of the finest examples of Kalinga architecture, it offers a deep spiritual aura and architectural brilliance that leaves both devotees and tourists mesmerized. Architecture & Atmosphere: Dating back to the 11th century (with parts possibly even older), the temple is a sprawling complex made of intricately carved sandstone. The towering deula (main spire) stands at over 180 feet and dominates the Bhubaneswar skyline. The craftsmanship is extraordinary—every wall, pillar, and gateway tells stories from Hindu mythology through detailed carvings. The temple complex is well-maintained and consists of over 60 smaller shrines, each with its own significance. The symmetry, layout, and sheer scale evoke a sense of grandeur and reverence. Spiritual Experience: Dedicated to Lord Shiva in his form as Harihara (a fusion of Shiva and Vishnu), the temple draws thousands of pilgrims each year. The sanctum is deeply revered, and even those who aren’t particularly religious can feel the peace and power within its ancient walls. The daily rituals, chants, and scent of incense create an atmosphere that feels timeless.

Beautiful temple. Worth watching. We had to keep our phones, shoes and even umbrellas outside the temple, there was a place just beside the entrance where you can keep those for 30-40 rupees in total. Temple premises was huge, beautiful architect, clean environment, and numbers of temples are there, people staying 108 temples. It took us more than 1hour to completely explore exery corner. Main temple was huge. Locals told us that before 9am you can go near that main shivling in the main temple, but we went there at evening so we had to see it from a distance. Nice experience, beautiful ambience. I loved it.

Tickets cost Rs 40 per head. Guide and photography facility available. Photographers charge Rs 130 per photo. Be mindful of saying the exact number of photos you require, otherwise the photographer may print all the photos he has taken. Best time to go is in the morning. It opens at 6 am. I recently visited the Konark Sun Temple in Odisha, and it was an incredible experience. The temple is not only a symbol of devotion but also a masterpiece of ancient Indian architecture. The moment I saw the grand structure shaped like a giant chariot, I was amazed by its beauty and the skill of the craftsmen who built it centuries ago. Every wall and pillar of the temple tells a story through its detailed carvings and sculptures. The artwork reflects the creativity and intelligence of that time. Walking around the temple complex, I felt a deep sense of respect for our history and culture. The atmosphere there was calm and inspiring. The open surroundings, the sound of the wind, and the sunlight falling on the stones made the whole place feel alive. It’s not just a historical site — it feels like a journey into the past. Overall, my visit to the Konark Sun Temple was unforgettable. It’s a place that truly shows the greatness of India’s heritage, and I would highly recommend everyone to visit it at least once in their life.

The Konark Sun Temple, built in the 13th century by King Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga dynasty, is one of India’s greatest architectural marvels — a stone chariot of the Sun God, Surya. The temple stands on twelve pairs of colossal wheels, drawn by seven galloping horses, symbolizing the seven days of the week and the cosmic journey of the Sun. These wheels are not mere ornaments — they’re functional sun dials, marking time through the play of shadow and light. Carved from sandstone and fine-grained chlorite, the temple walls come alive with 128 distinct dance poses — each sculpted with extraordinary grace, capturing the rhythm of Odissi’s ancient roots. Alongside celestial dancers, one finds divine beings, mythical creatures, warriors, and everyday scenes — all harmonized into a single cosmic story. Among the most fascinating carvings are the Kāmakalā sculptures, depicting the tantric union of Shiva and Shakti, symbolizing the eternal balance of creation. These are not merely erotic figures but profound spiritual metaphors — expressing the same energy that sustains the Sun’s radiance itself. The sanctum once enshrined a magnificent Aditya Murti, believed to have floated in space through magnetic design — a legend of lost brilliance. Today, that sacred image, along with the Aruna Stambha, stands at the Jagannath Temple in Puri, preserving Konark’s divine essence. Behind the main structure rests the tranquil Chhaya Devi (Mayadevi) Temple, completing the spiritual circle of light and shadow. Though time, weather, and invasions left parts of Konark in ruin, its spiritual pulse remains eternal. Konark is more than a monument — it’s a celestial wheel of art, astronomy, and tantra, where every carving glows with sunlight and the pulse of devotion. ₹40 per person (for Indian visitors) 600/- for forgieners. The ASI Museum beside the temple, which houses original sculptures and fragments preserved from the site, and the IOCL Interpretation Centre, where a brilliant audiovisual show beautifully narrates the history and legend of Konark. A must-visit for seekers, artists, and dreamers — here, even stone seems to dance to the rhythm of the Sun.

An architectural masterpiece and a truly mesmerizing experience! Konark Sun Temple is one of the most stunning heritage sites I have ever visited. The moment you step inside, you can feel the grandeur, history, and artistic brilliance that define this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The intricate stone carvings, the iconic chariot wheel structure, and the sheer scale of the temple leave you absolutely speechless. The site is well maintained, and the guides provide excellent insights into the temple’s history, mythology, and symbolism. Visiting during sunrise or sunset makes the experience even more magical. Only disappointed with the replacement of few parts of the buliding under the process of restoration of the architecture left many history behind. A must-visit place for anyone traveling to Odisha- perfect for history lovers, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to witness India’s cultural richness. Highly recommended! 🌞✨

Sights & Landmarks
The Shree Jagannatha Temple Puri is a revered Hindu pilgrimage destination located in the coastal town of Puri, India. It was constructed in the 12th century by King Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva and has since undergone several additions to its structure. The temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a form of Lord Vishnu, and is an important site for worshippers of Krishna and Vishnu.
The Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha, is one of India’s most sacred and magnificent temples, dedicated to Lord Jagannath — an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Built in the 12th century by King Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva, the temple stands as a masterpiece of Kalinga architecture, with its towering spire visible from miles away. The complex houses the holy trinity — Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra — symbolizing universal harmony and divine unity. The temple is not just a religious site but also a cultural heartbeat of Odisha. Its daily rituals, traditional music, and the famous Mahaprasad served from the world’s largest kitchen reflect centuries of devotion and community spirit. The annual Rath Yatra (Chariot Festival) draws millions of devotees from across the globe, offering a spectacular view of faith and tradition in motion. What makes the Jagannath Temple truly unique is its spiritual inclusiveness — a place where divinity transcends caste, creed, and boundaries. The temple’s mysteries, such as the flag always flying against the wind and the absence of bird shadows above its dome, add to its divine aura. Visiting Jagannath Temple is not merely a pilgrimage but a profound spiritual experience. The chants of “Jai Jagannath,” the sight of the majestic idols, and the sacred atmosphere leave every devotee with deep peace and devotion. It stands as an eternal symbol of faith, love, and unity — the soul of Odisha and the pride of India.

The atmosphere is a perfect blend of devotion, faith, and ancient tradition. The sound of the conch, temple bells, and chants create a mesmerizing ambiance that stays with you long after you leave. The architecture of the temple is truly magnificent, reflecting centuries of history and culture. Standing before Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra is an emotional moment—filled with gratitude, purity, and a deep sense of connection. The darshan feels powerful and calming at the same time. Despite the crowd, the temple is well-managed, and the flow of devotees is smooth. The mahaprasad experience is another highlight—simple, sacred, and absolutely fulfilling. Walking around the temple complex gives you a strong feeling of being in a truly holy place where millions have prayed for centuries. Overall, the Jagannath Temple is not just a religious site—it is a life-changing spiritual journey. A must-visit place for anyone seeking blessings, peace, and divine energy.

Jay Jagannath Jagannath Temple, Puri – A Divine Journey Beyond Words 🌸 Visiting the Jagannath Temple in Puri is not just a trip — it’s a soulful experience that stays with you forever. The moment you step inside the temple premises, you can feel a wave of divine energy surrounding you. The chants of “Jai Jagannath” echo through the air, and the rhythmic sound of bells creates an atmosphere filled with devotion and peace. The temple’s architecture is absolutely breathtaking — a true reflection of Odisha’s ancient culture and craftsmanship. Every stone tells a story, every sculpture holds deep meaning. Watching the majestic flag flying atop the temple, always fluttering against the wind, fills your heart with faith and wonder. The darshan of Lord Jagannath, along with Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, is an unforgettable experience. Their divine presence brings an indescribable sense of calm and joy. The temple’s mahaprasad (holy offering) is not just food — it feels like a blessing. The purity, taste, and the way it’s served inside the Anand Bazaar make it a unique experience in itself. The people of Puri are humble and deeply spiritual, and the temple’s surroundings are filled with devotion and cultural beauty. Visiting the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri was one of the most uplifting and memorable experiences of my life. The moment you step into the temple complex, you can feel an atmosphere of deep spirituality and centuries-old tradition that instantly fills you with peace. The temple’s architecture is absolutely stunning—majestic, intricate, and full of history. Every carving and structure feels like it carries a story. The aura around the main sanctum, where Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra reside, is incredibly powerful. Just standing there during darshan is enough to give you goosebumps. One of the best parts of the visit was experiencing the Mahaprasad. It’s prepared with such devotion, and the taste is truly divine. The way thousands of devotees share this sacred food every day creates a beautiful sense of unity and community. The temple administration and volunteers do an admirable job managing the crowd, especially considering how many pilgrims visit daily. Despite the rush, the darshan process felt orderly, respectful, and smooth. The local people around the temple are warm, helpful, and always ready to guide visitors with a smile. The streets surrounding the temple are full of vibrant energy—shops with souvenirs, chants echoing in the air, and a unique cultural atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else. If you visit during the Rath Yatra, it’s an indescribably magnificent experience. Overall, the Puri Jagannath Temple is not just a place to visit—it’s a place to feel. Whether you come for spiritual reasons, architectural beauty, or cultural fascination, it’s a destination that stays with you long after you leave. *Just beware of pandes (mandir’s preist)

Had a truly divine experience at Jagannath Temple, Puri. Thanks to the Padhna Pujari, I was able to skip the long queue and received an excellent Pada/Pandha darshan. I could stand and witness Lord Jagannath for almost 3 minutes, which felt unbelievable and spiritually overwhelming -something that would have been impossible otherwise. A blessed experience I’ll always cherish. 🙏✨ No electronics items allowed, it should be submitted in the counter available at free of cost. Car parking available around 500-600 meters away from the temple.

What an amazing architecture of Kalinga dynasty. The moment you enter the temple serenity, you can feel the peace and divine happiness. It's one of the four char dham pilgrimage sites. You can see people from all over the country and worldwide bowing down to Lord Jagannatha with the same trust and devotion. The temple is neatly maintained. You can't take any leather items not phone inside the temple as it's strictly prohibited. Before even you enter the temple on your right hand there is a place where you can keep your footware and belongings including phone at a very nominal fees. Make sure you carry small kids and keep them safe with you as you can experience a little rush while entering the temple. You can have the famous Mahaprasad which is served again at a nominal price at the exit of the temple premises. You should sit on the floor and eat the mahaprasad. There are many paid parking space near by temple, if confused ask any rickshaw guy or local they will guide you there till parking space. Overall a great and divine experience.

This is very powerfull and holy temple with great history. We had a very good darshan of Lord Jagannath. There are numerous temples gods and goddesses in the premises. We also saw the Flag changing ceremony between 4-5 PM which is a must watch, the pandits carry flags to the top of the temple and replace old flag with new ones every day.

Golden Beach in Puri is a bustling Hindu sacred place and the venue for the annual Puri Beach Festival and sand displays. It's one of the best beaches in Puri, connected to other nearby beaches like Niladri Beach and Swargadwar Beach. The beach spans about 870 meters and has received Blue Flag certification for its cleanliness and environmental safety.
Puri Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches, perfect for sunrise and especially sunset. The evening breeze and night view are magical. Sit by the shore after sunset and enjoy the waves. It’s cleaner and more peaceful than Chennai’s Marina Beach, making it truly relaxing.

Golden Beach is a very beautiful beach and a very clean beach. You need an entry ticket to enter it.Earlier its tickets used to be a little cheaper. Now its tickets have become expensive. But after going inside you will feel completely forbidden because it has been maintained very well. You will find a lot of peace here because very few people come here. In the meantime, you will get a lot of peace by going here.

A Serene Escape at Puri Golden Beach Our visit to Puri Golden Beach was nothing short of magical. The beach was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully golden—true to its name. The gentle waves and soft sand made it perfect for a peaceful walk or just sitting back and soaking in the view. We arrived early in the morning and were greeted by a stunning sunrise that painted the sky in hues of orange and pink. The beach had lifeguards on duty and clear signage, which made us feel safe and comfortable. There were plenty of food stalls nearby offering fresh coconut water, seafood, and local snacks. The vibe was relaxed, with families, couples, and solo travelers all enjoying the calm atmosphere. If you're looking for a scenic, clean, and tranquil beach experience in Odisha, Puri Golden Beach is a must-visit. We left with beautiful memories and a promise to return soon!

A bit overcrowded, I suggest visiting the BLUE FLAG BEACH , which is a paid beach with minimal entry fees bit wayy better than the golden beach….but the overall experience is good beautiful views and amazing people

A beautiful spot with stunning sea views and clean waves, perfect for enjoying the scenery and taking a relaxing bath in the water. However, the place is usually very crowded, especially during peak hours, so it’s not ideal if you’re looking for a quiet or peaceful beach experience. Overall, great for views and fun, but be prepared for the crowd.
Shubham V — Google review
The beach is a nice place to relax for a few hours, especially if you love the sound of waves and a calm environment. The natural view is quite good, and you can enjoy a peaceful walk along the shore. During sunrise or sunset, the scenery becomes really beautiful and worth watching. However, the cleanliness could be improved — sometimes you’ll find plastic bottles or wrappers around, which takes away from the natural charm. The facilities like restrooms or seating areas are also limited, so it’s better to come prepared. Food stalls are available nearby, but the prices can be a bit high for the quality. Overall, it’s an average beach — good for a short visit, clicking some photos, or spending quiet time with friends and family, but not something very special or well-maintained

The VMRDA INS Kursura Submarine Museum, located on RK Beach in Visakhapatnam, is a popular tourist attraction. This museum features the INS Kurusura, a Russian-built submarine that was inducted into the Indian Navy in 1969 and decommissioned in 2001 after 31 years of service. It is the first submarine museum in Asia and the second in the world.
Wonderful experience of a lifetime. U get to experience the real view inside a marine lifestyle of submarine. The narrow spaces, multiple wires, switches, a treat to the eyes. Shows us how much struggle the navy goes through to protect us. Simply incredible. No photography inside the museum. Only disadvantage is that there is no air conditioning , except in compartment 1. Ticket price per head, 100/- A must must visit at vizag

Located right at Ramakrishna Beach (RK Beach), this place has a total of four war-related museums — INS Kursura Submarine Museum, TU-142 Aircraft Museum, Sea Harrier Museum, and UH-3H Helicopter Museum. If you plan to visit all four at once, the combined ticket is ₹200 per person. However, if you visit them individually, the ticket price is ₹100 per person per museum. Among all, the INS Kursura Submarine Museum is a must-visit once in a lifetime. It gives you a real glimpse into the tough life of our naval officers inside a submarine — how they live, work, and protect us deep under the sea during naval missions. I’ve uploaded a few inside pictures to give you an idea, but honestly, seeing it in person is a completely different experience — something you won’t find anywhere else. Just outside the museum gate, there’s a souvenir shop where you can buy small gifts and mementos to remember your visit. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Vizag or RK Beach! 🇮🇳⚓

The Submarine Museum in Vizag is a fascinating place to visit and gives a unique glimpse into the life of Navy submariners. Located right on the beach, the restored INS Kurusura submarine lets you walk through its narrow passages and see how sailors lived and worked underwater. The guides explain everything clearly, making the experience informative and engaging. The museum is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for families, students, and anyone interested in defense history. It’s not a long visit, but definitely a memorable one. A must-see attraction when exploring the Vizag Beach Road area.
RAM M — Google review
As a Mechanical Engineer, visiting the VMRDA Kursura Submarine Museum in Visakhapatnam was truly one of the most fascinating and inspiring experiences of my life. It’s not just a museum — it’s a living monument of engineering brilliance, naval courage, and Indian innovation that operated during an era when advanced electronics and digital automation were not yet developed. Everything inside this submarine runs purely on mechanical and manual systems, and that alone is enough to amaze anyone who loves machines and real-world engineering. The moment I stepped inside the submarine, I felt as if I had travelled back in time. The narrow corridors, control panels, and precisely arranged valves, levers, and gauges all tell a story of sheer human skill and endurance. Every inch of the Kursura showcases the dedication of Indian Navy officers who operated it with precision and bravery, defending our coastline under extreme conditions. It gave me a real sense of the challenges our naval heroes faced — limited space, high pressure, mechanical complexity, and the constant responsibility of keeping the submarine functional deep under the sea. From an engineering point of view, the Kursura is nothing short of a masterpiece. The way mechanical linkages, pressure systems, and propulsion units were integrated decades ago — all without modern sensors or computer controls — left me speechless. The attention to detail in the design reflects the intelligence and creativity of engineers of that generation. Even today, many of the internal systems are preserved in near-working condition, giving visitors a rare chance to see how things actually functioned when the submarine was active. Learning that the submarine was given a voluntary retirement after serving the nation for many years made me respect it even more. It wasn’t decommissioned due to failure, but because technology advanced and newer submarines with digital systems took over. Still, Kursura remains a symbol of mechanical engineering excellence and continues to educate thousands of visitors every year about how powerful and reliable purely mechanical systems can be. The museum staff and guides deserve appreciation too — they explain every section clearly and ensure that visitors understand the importance of each control room, torpedo section, and engine bay. Standing inside the engine room, hearing about how the diesel engines worked and how oxygen and pressure were maintained underwater, made me feel proud to be an engineer. It truly connects theory with reality — from thermodynamics to fluid mechanics, everything is right there in front of your eyes. I strongly recommend every student, engineer, and patriotic Indian to visit the Kursura Submarine Museum at least once. It’s not just about seeing an old naval vessel — it’s about experiencing the blend of science, courage, and history that shaped our defense capabilities. The Kursura is not only a war hero but also a museum of inspiration, reminding us that great things can be achieved with determination, teamwork, and innovative engineering. 🇮🇳

The proudest and most iconic reminder of Visakhapatnam's history as the HQ of the Indian Navy's Eastern Command, the Submarine Museum in Vizag, also known as INS Kursura Submarine Museum, is a must visit, one of a kind tourist attraction in the City. It's housed in a decommissioned Kaveri Class Soviet-built submarine, INS Kursura, which was decommissioned in 2001 after having served the Indian Navy for 31 years. The museum provides an immersive experience, offering insights into life inside a submarine and the complexities of underwater warfare. On display are various sections of a submarine, including the control room, torpedo room, crew quarters, the radar room and the engine room.

Not worth the money they charge as there's no one to guide you or give more information. It is all self learning. Gave 4 stars for the preservation and providing common public a chance to see what is inside a submarine.

1. Can go for divinity and vibe. 2. Here brahmins force for money ( Giving 2 star because of this and third point) Temple became so commercial. 3. Better go for free darshan than 100 rupees ticket, at least in free darshan we can stand few minutes but in 100 rs ticket they are pushing us in 2 seconds. 4. Prasadam is good. 5. Maintenance is average. 6. Footware keeping charges - Free 7. Mobile & luggage keeping charges - 5Rs/ item ( but we can take mobiles inside by keeping in pocket or bag, they will not check much 😛) 8. Drinking area is worst. 9. Bus facility is available for temple to go to top of hill - cost 10rs/-

We were traveling from Bengaluru to Kolkata, but since we didn’t get a direct ticket, we first went via Vijayawada and then planned to continue towards Odisha. At Vijayawada station, we had about 4 hours to spend, so we decided to visit a nearby temple, it was within walking distance. We reached there around 11 PM, but unfortunately, the temple was closed. Still, the experience was beautiful. The mountain view, the river, and the clean roads around Vijayawada created such a peaceful vibe. Even without darshan, it felt special. Hopefully, someday I’ll return and have the blessing of a proper darshan.

Located on the picturesque Indrakeeladri Hill, right beside the majestic Krishna River in Vijayawada, the temple offers both spiritual serenity and breathtaking natural views. 🌸 Spiritual Atmosphere & Divine Presence The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kanaka Durga, considered a swayambhu (self-manifested) deity, and is believed to grant strength, prosperity, and protection. During major festivals like Navaratri, the Goddess is decorated in nine different forms (Alankaram) each day, and the celebrations are grand, with lakhs of devotees attending. Ramoji Film City is a Good place to visit with so much to explore and enjoy. The Eureka zone, Baahubali set, Japanese Garden, Hawa Mahal, European Streets, and Evening Parks are some of the best attractions to experience. It’s perfect for a full-day outing with family and kids. Though outside food isn’t allowed, water bottles and snacks inside are reasonably priced. However we had to wait around 30 minutes for food after 2 PM at the Baahubali set, so the food service could be improved. Management can review about the pricing - it feels slightly high, especially since lunch isn’t included in the package.

Visiting Ramoji Film City with my friends was absolutely epic and fully justifies its fantastic reputation. They have 2 package option AC/ Non-AC. Only difference in AC package it has buffet lunch included, and non-ac doesn't have dinner option one must pay for their own food. It is an full day activity so plan accordingly. We hit all the highlights, and the energy we got from the sheer number of things to do made the whole day fly by—we give the experience a huge thumbs up! The core of the day was the Studio Tour, which was far more impressive than just seeing static sets. Seeing the intricate details on the iconic streets, the massive temple facades, and the beautiful Indian and Japanese Gardens made for incredible photo opportunities for our group. The undeniable highlight of this section was the Bahubali Set. Walking through the gigantic Mahishmati kingdom was surreal; we spent ages exploring the throne room, the massive bells, and the various props, totally losing ourselves in the grandeur of that fictional world. For the adrenaline junkies in our group, the side trip to Sahas Adventure Land was a must. Tackling the ATV track was a blast—it was the perfect way to burn off some energy and enjoy some real speed and dirt-kicking fun, moving from the fantasy sets to a real-life action sequence. We made sure to catch a Live Show, which was the perfect moment to sit down and be entertained. The vibrant choreography and the stunt work were fantastic, adding that extra layer of cinematic excitement. And since we were there during the festival, the Carnival atmosphere topped everything off! The colorful parades, extended timings, and general festive buzz added so much energy and color to the end of our trip. Finally, the Bird Park and Butterfly Park were surprisingly beautiful and provided a wonderful, peaceful contrast to the high-energy sets and adventure sports. It was a serene way to wrap up the sightseeing before heading home. A quick tip for groups: The park is huge, so divide your time wisely! Start with the sets and adventure, and don't forget comfortable shoes. Ramoji is definitely a trip worth taking with your best friends—it’s non-stop fun from the moment you step off the bus!
Akash K — Google review
Ramoji Film City is definitely a must-visit place in Hyderabad — it’s vast, beautifully designed, and offers a unique glimpse into the world of cinema. The guided tour is well-organized, and there are plenty of attractions, sets, and shows for all age groups. However, the entry fee is quite high, and some of the sets and attractions feel a bit outdated. While the overall experience is enjoyable and worth visiting at least once, it would be even better if the management could refresh the sites and reduce the ticket price to make it more affordable for everyone.

The Shree Vijaya Vitthala Temple, dating back to the 15th century, is a massive complex showcasing the architectural brilliance of the Vijayanagara empire. Dedicated to Lord Vitthala, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, it features various shrines and halls including the Maha Mantapa, Kalayana Mantapa, Devi Shrine, Utsav Mantapa and Ranga Mantapa. The iconic stone chariot in its courtyard is a striking structure that was once movable.
Vijaya Vittala Temple is one of Hampi’s most impressive and iconic sites. The temple complex showcases incredible Vijayanagara architecture with detailed carvings, massive stone pillars, and beautifully sculpted mantapas. The Stone Chariot is a must-see and makes for amazing photographs, while the musical pillars in the Maha Mantapa are a unique marvel you can actually hear different notes when they are struck. The temple grounds are spacious and peaceful, allowing you to explore at your own pace and admire the artistry up close. Visiting early in the morning or late afternoon helps avoid crowds and the midday heat. A must visit for anyone interested in history, architecture, or just soaking in the beauty of Hampi.

First of all, don't forget to bring a new crisp 50Rs note to take a pic with the stone chariot which is depicted on the note. Very beautiful and super intricately carved temple. Each idol is a work of art and it is difficult to fathom the depth and explanation without a good guide. Guide will explain the background, context, art, detailing and even the sound of various indian instruments by tapping on the columns. While planning a trip here, please understand that this temple can be accessed through two ways- First is the regular way to come to Vitthala temple parking and then proceed to temple by electric cart or by walking. By walking, you can explore the mantapas, temples and pushkarnis (ponds) on the way. Even some endemic plants, unique flowers and insects can be observed. Second way, a little adventurous and involving mild hiking is to come from Hampi Bazaar side, crossing Monolithic Nandi, Achutraya temple complex, Bazaar, taking right after pushkarni, from Varahaswamu gudi, lamp stand, kings balance and finally reaching Vitthala temple taking around 30-50 minutes depending on your fitness level. On the way, you can see Matunga hills on right and Tungabhadra river on left. Tickets for entrance are available at parking or also near the entry of Vitthala temple but mobile signals may be challenging here so keep small cash ready. Not much public amenities and if you plan to walk, especially in summer time, don't forget to keep water.

One of the most breathtaking monuments in Hampi! Vitthala Temple truly feels like walking into history. The intricate stone carvings, the iconic stone chariot, and the musical pillars make this place unforgettable. The architecture is grand yet so detailed—you can spend hours just admiring every corner. The surroundings are peaceful, and the walk toward the temple is scenic with ruins all around, giving a glimpse of Hampi’s glorious past. It’s well-maintained and perfect for photography, especially during early morning or golden hour. A must-visit spot if you’re exploring Hampi—absolutely worth your time!

Must visit place of hampi ruins. The famous chariot appearing on Indian rupee is here. Some of the buildings are very huge and detailed like music pillars etc. There is a river backside of the huge place which is a must walk , it was so good due to monsoon end and water flow was more. Pick and drop from parking is chargeable via battery car for rs. 20 per head if you wish to take that which I'll recommend to take it - else you need to walk like 750 ms inside. You will get a guides there to explain about the history of the temple. They will charge you 500rs. Must visiting place.

The Shree Vijaya Vitthala Temple is not merely a ruin; it is the architectural crown jewel of Hampi and the Vijayanagara Empire, captivating visitors with its unparalleled craftsmanship. Dedicated to an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, this 15th-century Dravidian masterpiece showcases the peak of South Indian temple design. The temple complex is famed for two monumental attractions. First, the iconic Stone Chariot (a shrine designed as an ornamental chariot), which stands as the state's most recognized symbol and is featured on the ₹50 note. Second, the incredible Ranga Mandapa with its 56 Musical Pillars (or 'SaReGaMa' pillars). When gently tapped, these large granite columns emit distinct musical notes, a testament to the ancient sculptors' sophisticated knowledge of acoustics and stone carving. Though the main idol is gone, the sprawling campus, with its intricately carved halls, shrines, and towering gateways, offers a profoundly immersive journey into a glorious past. Budget a minimum of two hours here to truly appreciate its artistry.

Shree Vijaya Vittala Temple is the crown jewel of Hampi and one of the most breathtaking architectural wonders I have ever seen in India. This temple is not just a monument it is history frozen in stone, showcasing the artistic excellence of the Vijayanagara Empire. The first thing that amazed me was the iconic Stone Chariot, which is the symbol of Karnataka tourism. Seeing it in real life felt surreal the detailing, the symmetry, and the precision of the stonework are truly unbelievable. Just behind it, the Musical Pillars (Saregama Pillars) inside the Maha Mantapa are a masterpiece of engineering and creativity. Each pillar produces musical notes when tapped something that still surprises modern architects! The temple complex is massive, with beautiful carvings, open corridors, pavilions, and mandapas that reflect stories of gods, dancers, musicians, and royal life. Even though the structure is partly in ruins, it still holds incredible grace and power. What I loved most was the peaceful atmosphere — no loud noise, just the gentle wind passing through ancient pillars. The sunset light falling on the stones creates a golden glow that makes the entire temple look divine. It’s a perfect place for photographers, history lovers, devotees, and travellers seeking inspiration. There is a bit of walking required to reach the temple (around 1 km from the parking area), but the scenic pathway with boulders and greenery makes it worth it. The temple is maintained nicely, and guides are available if you want to learn deeper history. If you visit Hampi and don’t see the Vittala Temple, you miss the soul of Hampi. This is not just a heritage site — it’s a living example of India’s artistic brilliance. Truly unforgettable! Just Abinash YouTuber | Traveller

The Virupaksha Temple in Hampi is one of the most magnificent and spiritually powerful landmarks in South India. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple is not just a place of worship but a living heritage site that has continued to thrive for over a thousand years. Located on the banks of the Tungabhadra River, the temple’s towering gopuram (gateway tower) welcomes visitors from afar and sets the tone for the divine atmosphere inside. As soon as you enter, you’re captivated by the intricate carvings, detailed pillars, and age-old murals that narrate stories from Indian mythology. The temple complex is vast and beautifully maintained, preserving its ancient charm while still being active with daily rituals and devotees. You can witness traditional pujas, hear the ringing of bells, and feel the spiritual energy that fills the air. One of the unique experiences here is watching the inverted shadow of the main tower cast naturally inside one of the inner chambers—a fascinating example of ancient Indian architectural brilliance. The temple elephant, Lakshmi, often blesses visitors near the entrance, adding to the temple’s warm and traditional feel. The surroundings of the temple are equally mesmerizing, with the Hampi Bazaar, river ghats, and ancient ruins nearby, making it a perfect starting point for exploring Hampi’s rich history. Early mornings and evenings are the best times to visit, especially during sunrise or sunset, when the golden light enhances the beauty of the temple and the granite hills around it. Overall Experience: A visit to the Virupaksha Temple is not just sightseeing—it’s a deeply spiritual journey that connects you to India’s ancient culture, devotion, and timeless architecture. Whether you’re a devotee, a history lover, or a traveler seeking peace, this temple is a must-visit gem of Hampi. Highly recommended for its heritage, architecture, and divine ambience.

Virupaksha Temple is a truly amazing 7th-century temple that honours Lord Shiva. It’s a fantastic example of Dravidian architecture. What makes it even more special is that it’s the oldest building still standing in Hampi, which sets it apart from the other ruins of the ancient Vijayanagara Empire.

Virupaksha Temple, Hampi - one of the most fascinating and spiritually active heritage sites in India, and a must-visit when in Hampi. The massive temple complex was originally built by Lakkana Dandesha, a chieftain under King Deva Raya II of the Vijayanagara Empire. The architecture and craftsmanship here are breathtaking — a fine example of how art, devotion, and science blended seamlessly in ancient India. The main temple consists of a sanctum, three ante chambers, a beautifully pillared hall, and an open mandapa, all surrounded by smaller shrines, courtyards, and gateways. The nine-tiered eastern gopuram, rising nearly 50 meters high, is the most striking feature. With a stone base and a brick superstructure, it dominates the skyline of Hampi and serves as the main entrance to the temple’s outer court filled with sub-shrines. A smaller eastern gateway leads to the inner court, while another northern gateway — the Kanakagiri Gopura — connects to the Tungabhadra River through a small enclosure of shrines. A narrow channel from the river even flows along the temple terrace and down into the old temple kitchen — a clever example of ancient water management. One of the most fascinating details is how the temple design incorporates mathematical concepts and fractal geometry. The triangular main structure and the repeating carved patterns on the towers demonstrate symmetry and self-repetition, almost like natural fractals — proof of how advanced and thoughtful ancient Indian architecture was. Inside, you’ll also find the famous pinhole image effect — where sunlight passes through a small hole and projects an inverted image of the gopuram inside a dark chamber. Small wonders like this make the temple feel alive with ingenuity. The temple is located at the end of Hampi Bazaar, right beside the Tungabhadra River, and the surroundings are vibrant with pilgrims, locals, and travelers. Early mornings and evenings are the best times to visit — the golden light against the sandstone and river backdrop is mesmerizing.

Visited Virupaksha Temple, Hampi 🛕 Over the weekend…. One of the oldest and most beautiful temples in Hampi .. still active and full of divine energy 🙏. The tall Gopura is amazing, and inside temple you can even see its shadow appear upside down on the temple wall — a must-see! You can also visit the small shrine of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari Devi (Karnataka Kuladevate) inside the temple. The whole place is very peaceful and clean. There’s a big pond outside the temple which adds to the beauty of the surroundings. You’ll also see many monkeys around, so keep an eye on your belongings. For a closer darshan, there is a ₹25 ticket that allows you to walk near the main god and have a blissful darshan of Lord Veerupaksha. It can get crowded at times, but the experience is totally worth it. Need to walk bit from parking area.. A must-visit place in Hampi for its history, architecture, and spiritual vibes. 🙏

The Virupaksha Temple in Hampi, Karnataka, is a stunning example of South Indian temple architecture and an enduring symbol of Hindu faith. Dating back to the 7th century, it was expanded under the Vijayanagara Empire in the 14th century, becoming a grand center of worship dedicated to Lord Shiva, known here as Virupaksha. The temple complex features a towering 9-tiered gopuram (entrance tower), intricate carvings, pillared halls, and sacred shrines that reflect the spiritual and artistic brilliance of the era. A living temple, Virupaksha has never ceased to function, even after the fall of Hampi in 1565, and remains an active site of devotion. It hosts the grand annual chariot festival and betrothal celebrations of Lord Virupaksha and Goddess Pampa, attracting thousands of devotees. The temple’s sanctity, centuries-old traditions, and architectural majesty make it a cornerstone of Karnataka’s cultural and religious heritage, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The ISKCON temple in Bangalore, located in Rajaji Nagar, is a magnificent tribute to Lord Krishna. The temple was built on a 7-acre campus and took 6 years to complete. Designed by Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa, the architecture features a stunning 17-meter gold-plated flag post and 8.5-meter gold Kalash Shikaras. Situated on Hare Krishna Hill, the temple's Neo-Classical style blends modern amenities with traditional design.
ISKCON Temple in Bengaluru is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The best part is the Harinaama Dwara — before entering the main temple, you take 108 steps, and before each step, you chant the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. It feels very pure and peaceful while doing that. Before entering the main temple of Shri Krishna, just take a moment to enjoy the breeze, calmness, and the amazing city view — it feels really soothing. The temple is clean and well managed with cloakrooms, shoe counters, and parking. There’s also a metro station that connects directly to the temple premises, which makes it easy to reach. While exiting, make sure to try the sweets — they’re very tasty and worth it. Overall, a wonderful and divine experience.

The intricate architecture of the white temple stood out beautifully against the blue sky, and the sounds of chanting filled the air, creating a serene yet lively ambience. Inside, the aroma of fresh flowers and incense wafted through the halls, enhancing the sacred experience. People of all ages were engaged in prayer and meditation, their faces reflecting a deep sense of peace and devotion. I found solace in the rhythmic chants and the uplifting energy that pervaded the space. The sense of community among the visitors was palpable, and I felt connected to something much larger than myself. It was a day filled with tranquillity and a profound sense of purity, making me grateful for the opportunity to be there.

Nice place to worship Lord Krishna. Very well connected with metro and Bengaluru buses. In temple, darshan facilities, food & water facilities are good. Overall very good arrangements, cleanliness and nice experience. Only thing is no special feeling. It's like visiting any other temple. Maybe because temple is surrounded by big buildings; so not giving that divine vibes where we tries to connect with God with peace.

I recently visited the ISKCON Temple in Bengaluru, and honestly, it left me feeling peaceful and refreshed in a way I didn’t expect. The moment you walk in, the calmness just hits you. The place is beautifully built, super clean, and has this soothing atmosphere that makes you slow down and breathe a little deeper. The sound of “Hare Krishna” chants playing continuously in the background creates such a positive vibe — it’s something you actually feel, not just hear. The evening aarti was easily the best part of my visit. Watching it in person, with the lights, music, and devotion in the air, felt incredibly grounding and comforting. The whole temple is very well managed, and the volunteers are genuinely kind and helpful — something you really appreciate when the place is this busy. There’s also a prasadam hall, a food court with really tasty sattvic food, and a nice little shop with books and souvenirs. Everything is neatly maintained and adds to the overall experience. If you’re in Bengaluru, I’d say this is definitely a place you shouldn’t miss. This place is serene and calm atmosphere to enlighten the spiritual experience within you. It is well connected with all public transport as it is located in the heart of the city. If you're driving a four wheeler then parking charges of 40 rupees collected. You shall easily spend an hour or three including the shopping of artifacts and other devotional items inside the temple premises. Multiple vaishnavaite deities are present here. Everything is maintained near and clean. An artificial waterfall and a lake add more charm to this place. This place is getting upgraded with more infrastructure as the construction is going on as well.

Lalbagh Botanical Garden in Bangalore is a historic and expansive garden that originated as a private royal garden spanning 40 acres. Initially designed in Mughal style, it was further developed by Tipu Sultan and later expanded by British and Indian horticulturists. The garden is renowned for its support of agriculture, conservation of plant species, and contribution to the advancement of cultivation.
Very nice Lalbagh is an absolute must-visit if you are in Bengaluru. It truly lives up to its name as the 'Lungs of the City.' The variety of trees and plants is staggering, and the layout is perfect for a long, relaxing walk. Highlights: The Glass House: It’s stunning architecture and makes for great photos. The Lake: Very peaceful to sit by, and I spotted quite a few birds. Cleanliness: The park is well-maintained despite being so popular. I recommend going early in the morning to beat the heat and the crowds. It’s a fantastic spot for photography or just disconnecting from the city traffic. Highly recommended!

A Calming Green Oasis in Bengaluru Lalbagh Botanical Garden offers a decent escape from the city hustle. I had an "OK" experience, largely thanks to the wonderfully calm and fresh environment. If you're looking for a spot with natural bird sounds to truly cool down and relax your mind, this place is highly recommended. It's a true "lung space" for Bengaluru. A major plus was the e-cycle ride, which is a fantastic way to cover the vast garden expanse. The rental seemed to have a flexible pricing, as I saw options for a short ride. I did a ride. We also caught the artificial waterfall near the lake, which operates on a fixed schedule. We saw it running from 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM. It adds a nice, serene touch to the lake area when it's on. My one major feeling was a slight lack of a "zoo" or large animal presence (apart from birds), which I missed—it felt more like a purely botanical experience rather than a nature park with diverse wildlife. However, for a botanical garden, all the basic amenities and facilities are well-maintained. Conclusion ; If you are in Bengaluru, it's definitely worth a visit for a peaceful, nature-filled break and a lovely walk or cycle ride.

Recently visited here — it’s a beautiful and refreshing place to connect with nature. The garden is huge, and it’s quite hard to cover the entire area within an hour. You’ll find ancient, massive trees and a wide variety of plant species, making it a paradise for nature lovers. The garden is well-maintained, with benches for sitting, trash bins placed throughout, and washroom and drinking water facilities available inside. There are also food stalls, a fountain area, and a poly house that add to the experience. The entry fee is ₹50 for adults and ₹20 for children. Plastic bottles are not allowed, which helps keep the place clean. I also visited the nursery, though it was closed due to a festive occasion. It’s a great spot for families, couples, or anyone looking for peace amidst greenery. The calm atmosphere and natural beauty truly make you feel one with nature. 🌿🌸

The iconic Glass House is a magnificent architectural marvel, especially when bathed in sunlight, and the massive Lalbagh Rock offers a fantastic view and a quiet spot for reflection. The maintenance is impeccable—everything is clean, well-labeled, and thoughtfully arranged. Whether you're a serious botanist, a photographer, or just someone looking for a peaceful escape, Lalbagh caters to all. It’s a perfect spot for morning walks, family picnics, or simply relaxing under the shade of ancient trees. Don't miss the flower shows if you time your visit right! Highly, highly recommended.

Lalbagh Botanical Garden is one of those rare places in Bangalore where time slows down and the city noise fades into the background. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by lush greenery, towering trees, and beautifully maintained pathways that make every step feel refreshing. The star attraction, of course, is the iconic Glass House, which looks stunning whether you visit in the quiet mornings or during the flower shows. The variety of plants—from vibrant flowers to rare species—adds so much charm, and you can easily spend hours exploring different corners without even realizing it. What I love most is the peaceful vibe. Whether you're going for a morning walk, photography, or just a break from daily routine, Lalbagh never disappoints. The lake inside the garden is another calming spot, perfect for sitting by the water and watching birds. It can get slightly crowded on weekends, but the garden is big enough to always find a quiet nook for yourself. The entry fee is minimal, and the overall experience feels priceless compared to the serenity you get. Overall, Lalbagh Botanical Garden is a must-visit—beautiful, calming, and truly refreshing. A little green paradise right in the heart of Bangalore.

It was a beautiful experience. The day was 🌞 I went with my family to explore the beauty of this huge botanical garden that has flora species dating back to hundreds of years ago. Enchanting. ❤️😇 We took the ride for 45 mins which is charged ₹100 per person. The guide thoroughly took us to different locations of the botanical garden taking small stops at specific points. Overall it was a nice experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the place. Recommended to family and friends. ✨

One of the prettiest garden I have ever visited. So beautiful, peaceful and huge. Our first option was Cubbon Park due to its ratings but when I visited this instead, I was glad. It's really beautiful! The way everything is maintained there is very pleasant. The whole area around this park is so cool due to the trees in the garden. Very less pollution and lot of things to do😍

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Bannerghatta Zoo, located near Bangalore, Karnataka, is a vast national reserve that offers a perfect dose of awe-inspiring moments for animal lovers. Established in 1970 and declared as a national park in 1974, it has become famous for its close proximity to the city limits and serves as a biological and conservation reserve for animals. The park features a zoo, safari park, butterfly conservatory, animal rescue center, pet corner, aquarium, snake house and ancient temples for worship.
I visited the park in the morning (Date: 14 Sept,2025) and had a great experience. I recommend reaching around 9:10 AM so you can avoid long queues—there are self-ticket machines too. Visiting early is the best time because the park is quiet, and the animals are active. I was lucky to see a lion roaring up close, which was an amazing moment. I also saw a peacock dancing with its feathers fully open—it went on for 10 min guess and was beautiful to watch. The tiger walk and giraffe sighting were also worth it. Sometimes jungle safaris can be hit or miss, but this visit was truly worth it. There was no crowd, and we were able to explore peacefully and finish early. After that, we visited the nearby Butterfly Park, which was calm, quiet, and equally enjoyable. Overall, it was a peaceful and memorable morning. A must-visit place with family and kids if you want to enjoy nature and wildlife without the rush.😍🦁🦂🕷️🦋🙈🙉🙊🐯🐼🦓🫎🐊🐍🐢🦒🦜🦅🦚🕸️🐞🐝🕷️🦂🦧🦥🦌🦁

A Great Day Out, But With Key Areas for Improvement Bannerghatta Biological Park offers a genuinely wonderful experience for wildlife lovers, making it a fantastic destination for a day trip. The park is vast, and many of the naturalized habitats for the local species are impressive and well-maintained. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful, contributing to an overall positive atmosphere. However, a couple of significant issues prevented me from rating this as a perfect five-star experience. Firstly, I was disappointed that some of the highly anticipated major animals, notably the Lion and the Orangutan, were either absent or could not be found in their areas during our visit. This was a notable letdown for key species that many visitors hope to see. More importantly, I observed certain welfare concerns that I hope the park management addresses. Several animals appeared to be kept alone or with a very limited number of mates, which seemed sparse given their social nature. In a few cases, the enclosures seemed smaller than ideal, and I witnessed some animals exhibiting repetitive, stereotypic behaviors (pacing back and forth). This gave the distinct impression that they might be bored, stressed, or depressed due to the lack of space or social stimulation. Ensuring that all animals have adequate companionship and spacious, enriching enclosures is crucial for a park of this stature. Despite these issues, the overall variety of species and the natural beauty of the environment are undeniable. If the park could improve its exhibit list consistency and significantly upgrade the size and social conditions of the enclosures I mentioned, it would easily earn five stars.

I visited Bannerghatta National Park about a month ago, and it turned out to be a really enjoyable experience. The place has a nice mix of things to do — the zoo, the butterfly park, and of course, the safari. The safari was the highlight for me. We got surprisingly close views of lions, tigers, bears, and herbivores in spacious enclosures that actually feel pretty close to their natural habitat. It’s exciting without being rushed, and you really get good photo moments. The butterfly park is calm and colorful — a perfect little break after the safari. The zoo is quite large with a good variety of animals and birds, though a few enclosures could definitely use better maintenance. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend this place for families, kids, or anyone who wants a quick nature-and-wildlife getaway near the city. Just reach early, carry water, and keep a little patience — it makes the whole experience so much better.

Last week, I visited the Biological Zoo with my family. It was a very exciting and memorable trip. We saw many animals like lions, tigers, elephants, deer, giraffes and colorful birds. The best part of our visit was the safari. It was really thrilling to see the wild animals moving freely in the open area. We saw lions and tigers very closely from the safari bus and it felt like a real jungle adventure. The zoo was clean and well maintained. The staff guided us properly and we enjoyed taking many photos and videos together. It was a fun and educational experience for the whole family. I would love to visit again, especially for the safari ride.

Bannerghatta Biological Park is a great place for a family day out. The zoo is well-maintained, with a good variety of animals like lions, tigers, elephants, and reptiles. The safari experience is the highlight — you get to see animals roaming freely in a natural habitat, which feels exciting and safe. Better to pre book tge tickets through online from their official page. Also suggest to visit morning first slot.Walkways are clean, and there are plenty of resting spots and food stalls. Weekends can be crowded, so visiting early morning is best. Overall, a wonderful and educational place for kids and adults.

It was amazing experience we went in the noon at 2:30pm for safari and it was so lively experience and kid will really enjoy this. The safari takes 45min and its amazing experience and the zoo inside there are many caged animals snakes as well. Well maintained and hygienic. Be aware there are mosquitoes be cautioned while takings kids mainly

Visited Bannerghatta Biological Park in the morning, parking available for bikes (paid). The entry area has small local shops selling snacks, water, sugarcane juice, and fruits depending on the season. Took the safari bus after a long queue , it’s a unique experience being inside a cage while animals roam free outside! However, seats with caged windows make photography difficult, and animal sightings depend on luck. After the safari, visited the Butterfly Garden (fewer butterflies than expected) and had lunch at the canteen , limited food options. The zoo area is like any other, with various animals in enclosures. Overall, it’s a nice day trip to see wildlife closely. Appreciate the government’s efforts in forest and animal conservation.

I recently visited Bannerghatta National Park, and honestly, it felt a bit overhyped. From the photos and reviews, I expected a proper wildlife experience, but in reality, it was more like an average zoo with a bus ride added in. We booked the safari bus since jeeps weren’t available, and that was fine — but the safari itself was quite disappointing. The entire 20–30 minute ride had barely 4–5 types of animals — deer, elephants, leopards, lions, and a small bear. It didn’t feel like we were in a natural habitat at all. The zones were just large fenced areas with a few animals each. For example, you start with deer and elephants, then after passing a gate you reach the leopard zone, where maybe 3–4 leopards can be seen resting near shelters. Same goes for lions and bears. It honestly felt like a zoo with a bus tour instead of walking. After the safari, we went to the zoo area, which was okay but again nothing great. There were only one or two animals of each species — a single giraffe, one tiger, one lion, etc. Variety was there, but it didn’t feel lively or well-maintained. The butterfly park was the best part of the entire visit. The entry fee was ₹50 per person, and it was worth it. The dome area filled with butterflies and greenery looked beautiful and peaceful — definitely the highlight of the day. Overall, Bannerghatta National Park is good for a one-time visit or a short family outing near Bangalore, but if you’re expecting a real safari or wildlife experience, you’ll probably be disappointed.

Amusement park
Water & Amusement Parks
Wonderla Amusement Park in Bengaluru is a popular destination for thrill-seekers and families alike. The park offers a wide range of attractions, including roller coasters, water rides, and virtual reality experiences. With over 55 rides spread across 33 hectares, visitors can enjoy everything from high-thrill experiences like the Flash Tower and Hurricane to more relaxed options such as Lazy River and Fun Racers.
We visited Wonderla on Diwali, and while the experience was fantastic, be warned: the crowd was very high. The Good: The overall vibe is excellent, and the cleanliness and maintenance across the park are top-notch. The staff deserve a special mention; their response and behavior were very good, and they were professional and polite, even on a busy day. Must-Try Rides & Attractions: The variety of rides is superb! We loved the water section, especially the Rain Dance, Wave Pool, Mammoth, and all the water slides. For thrill-seekers, the Recoil coaster is a masterpiece. My personal favorites were Mission Interstellar and Recoil—they are must-do experiences! (A bonus: they provide videos and photos for some rides to capture the memories.) Important Tips for Visitors: Evening Highlight (Must Wait!): Be sure to stay until the end of the day for the incredible dance and music show! It’s the perfect, energetic finish to a thrilling day. Crowd Warning: I do not recommend visiting on weekends or major holidays like Diwali/Christmas unless you are prepared for extreme queues. Fast Track is Mandatory: If you must visit on a busy day, I strongly recommend getting the Fast Track tickets as they are the only way to avoid ridiculously long waiting times and enjoy all the rides. Food Costs: Be aware that the food and beverages inside the park are definitely on the higher side. Overall, Wonderla offers a fantastic, clean, and fun experience, provided you manage the crowds wisely!

One of the best amusement parks in the country. Some rides are really high on thrill and adrenaline rush, especially their roller coaster- recoil, the twister, maverik etc. You must not miss the newly added adventure ride- Interstellar which is an experience in itself. The giant wheel at the 13th floor gives the best view of the park and the city. The waterpark isn’t great but has some good water slides and rides you can try. For extra fun you can try the rain dance shows, & especially the wave pool with the dj is so much fun. The best part is they hae made a division in the pool with 2 sides, one for family, couple, women; and other for only men. The crew keeps a check that everyone follows the rules properly and behaves. Some things to keep in mind. Some rides can have queues in rush time, but its doable; as the fastrack tickets are double the cost and not worth it as you can still do all rides without it, just make sure you reach before noon and are there till atleast 6pm. Noone specifically checked the costume for waterpark, but carry appropriate material clothes to enjoy the most, or you’ll have t o buy them at 350 bucks. The locker costs 350 rs, with an additional 50 bucks of the magnetic key watch band. There are multiple food joints and options to eat from. You’ll also find souvenir shops. Wait till post the sunset to see the beauty of the park in lights. You can take certain buses plying to and back from the park to city. Overall its a great experience and a must go to atleast once if you are adventurous soul.

The place is beautifully maintained, clean, and filled with thrilling rides for all age groups. From roller coasters to water rides, every attraction was well-managed and safe. The staff were courteous, helpful, and ensured everyone had a great experience. The food court had plenty of delicious options, and the overall ambiance made it a perfect day out with family and friends. The park is vibrant, fun, and definitely worth visiting again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for excitement and entertainment in Bangalore! 🎢🎡🎠

Check offers before Booking! This place is really good for a day outing, don't start from the first ride, watch YouTube videos to see which one you don't wanna miss and be in queue for those in the start. First of all reach the place by 10 am to be aware of what to do, and how to go ahead. Normal queue Wait time is 30-70 minutes on each ride after 11:30. So decide wisely don't waste your time on not so worthy rides. We included three meals, it was a good decision so we didn't waste time deciding, what to eat. My recommendations at least include noon meal, so you can enjoy it and during the evening it will be your wish for what you wanna eat after rides. Take the longest hours, it's hardly the matter of 100-200/- rs but then after dinner also you may be able to do some fun rides if not water rides. Take the locker in advance or one of you may end up just looking after your stuff. Wear water rides approved clothing from the start , so you don't waste time changing clothes again and again. Wear rubber slippers/ crocs, it's easy for you to move around.

I recently went to Wonderla Bengaluru, and honestly, it was an amazing experience! One of the best amusement parks I’ve ever been to. The place is super clean, well maintained, and packed with rides that’ll give you both adrenaline rush and pure fun. The new Mission Interstellar ride totally blew my mind! It’s India’s first space themed ride and the huge screen makes you feel like you’re actually floating in space definitely a must-try. Apart from that, the high thrill rides like Recoil were just insane. The water park section was also great the slides, the wave pool, the lazy river everything was just perfect for cooling off and chilling. The staff were polite and helpful throughout the day, and the locker and changing facilities were neat and clean. I also liked the food options inside decent variety and not too overpriced, which was nice. Overall, I had an absolute blast here! Whether you’re going with friends, family, or your partner, Wonderla guarantees a full day of fun, thrill, and amazing memories. Totally worth it! 🙌

We recently visited *Wonderla Bangalore* with a group of four friends on a **Sunday weekend**, and it was an amazing experience! Since Wonderla was celebrating its **20th anniversary**, they had a special **Buy 2 Get 2 Free offer**, so the crowd was quite full — but the fun was totally worth it! The park is **very clean, green, and peaceful**, with a lot of energy and excitement all around. We enjoyed both **dry rides and water games** — each one gave us a thrill! The **rain dance** and **Rizal Coaster** were especially unforgettable and gave us real goosebumps. There are **lockers available**, and **drinking water** is easily accessible throughout the park, which is really convenient. Coming to **food**, the options are good and available at **reasonable prices**. Just one suggestion — avoid eating and then going for active water rides immediately, as it might cause a bit of discomfort. For **timings**: * Monday to Friday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM * Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM In the **evening**, the **lighting and night atmosphere** make the place even more beautiful. **How to reach:** Reaching Wonderla is easy. The best way is to take the **metro to Challaghatta (last station)**, and from there, you can easily book a **cab or bike**. The route from Challaghatta is smooth and traffic-free, just about **7 km away**. Overall, it’s a **perfect destination to visit with friends or family**, especially in groups — the fun multiplies! If you love adventure, water rides, and vibrant energy, **Wonderla Bangalore is a must-visit!** 🎢💦🎉

This was my 3rd visit but first time with family and kids. Beautiful park, everyone should visit for fun. Weather was supportive so you could enjoy water games. There's new addition to the park - Mission Interstellar. It was mind blowing. Never experienced before. For all games there's 25% of people with Fast track priority passes are sent in. With Halloween passes, all land games can be played even between 7 pm to 10 pm while games for regular passes are closed by 6 pm. Park timings on weekends is 11 am to 7 pm. Everything is fine except Food. Its totally SCAM. If you buy buffet online vs offline, the prices are different. If you buy Buffet lunch at entrance is 419 while online and inside its 500+. Any food like Fried rice or Noodles with non/veg manchurian and large coke combination is 410/- when you can buy Buffet for same price. The quality of food is pathetic. After spending good time, we felt disappointed with food quality with menu options and with exorbitant prices. I have provided same feedback to ground staff to improve food. Hence reduced the overall ratings.

When we were planning a fun trip for our school children on the occasion of Children’s Day, the first place that came to our minds was Wonderla - a place we knew would bring them the most joy. Since our students come from the ashrama and study in a government-aided school, we reached out to Wonderla to request their support in making this day special. The Wonderla management responded with immense kindness. They wholeheartedly accepted our request and made it possible for more than 45 students to enjoy a fully sponsored day at the park. The children got to experience all the dry rides and water games, enjoying every moment with excitement and laughter. The team ensured personal care throughout the day, organised fun games exclusively for our kids, and treated them to delicious food - making the entire experience unforgettable. We, the teachers of Mahila Mandali Vidya Samaste Kannada Primary, extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire Wonderla team for embracing our children with so much love and warmth. The joy, laughter, and memories you created for them will always be cherished. Your generous gesture will forever remain close to our hearts.
