Later, we stayed for the late pooja. As the temple quieted into its nightly rhythm, I stood before Guruvayurappan with folded hands, heart full. After such a long time, to meet you again, dear Lord—to receive your darshan and blessings—was like returning home to something eternal.
Thank you for this grace. For the dance, the darshan, and the quiet joy of being there with Amma and Chan. I carry your blessing with me, renewed.

Little crowd, the devasthanam can make little proper arrangements for the people standing in line , no proper water facilities or restroom facilities for those who are standing in line. Fans are there but not working. Water they are giving but only once. But the people are standing & sitting in the line for 4-5 hours. Please kindly make those arrangements

We happened to be in Cochin for the final phase of a project. After nearly three months of meticulous planning and execution, the work was finally nearing completion. As the festival holidays approached, the idea of taking a short break felt not only refreshing but also deeply meaningful. Rather than simply resting, we longed for an experience that could blend relaxation with spiritual nourishment. Guruvayur Temple, one of the most revered shrines of Lord Krishna, immediately came to mind. The temple was just 95 kilometers away from Cochin, a drive of about 2 hours and 40 minutes through the heart of Kerala’s lush landscapes and vibrant villages.
The thought of leaving behind the busy city streets of Cochin and immersing ourselves in the serene, devotional atmosphere of Guruvayur felt like the perfect way to celebrate the successful near-completion of our project. More than a break, it was a pilgrimage—an opportunity to seek divine blessings for the journey completed, and for the many yet to come.

Main Purpose: To strengthen military defence between Kerala and Tamil Nadu and to control the Palakkad Gap (a key mountain pass through the Western Ghats).

The fort was originally built by Hyder Ali of Mysore.
Later, it was captured by the British East India Company in 1768, briefly retaken by Tipu Sultan, and then permanently taken over by the British in the late 18th century.
During British rule, it served as a military base and later as a administrative center.

However, one concern is that some couples behave inappropriately in public areas, which can make visitors uncomfortable. It would be great if the management ensured better monitoring to maintain a family-friendly environment.
The fort is small but beautiful and beautifully maintained by ASI, there is nothing to see much but it's a quiet place in the middle of the city.
Ample car and two wheeler parking is available in the fort premises.

The walk up to the dam can be a little tiring, especially on a sunny day, but it's completely worth it. As you walk along, you'll find several beautiful photo points, ideal for both nature lovers and casual photographers. The surrounding greenery and water views are just stunning.
There are plenty of snack stalls and small eateries near the entrance and around the park area, so you won't have to worry about food. Families with kids will love the children’s park, which is clean and equipped with fun rides and open spaces for kids to enjoy.
One of the best parts of the visit was the ropeway ride – it's just ₹70 per person and offers a breathtaking aerial view of the dam, gardens, and the surrounding hills. We took a quick auto ride from the dam to the ropeway station, which was convenient and saved time. The ride itself was smooth, safe, and offered some truly Instagram-worthy views!
If you're in or around Palakkad, Malampuzha Dam is definitely worth visiting for a relaxed one-day outing with family or friends. It’s got the right mix of nature, fun, and local charm. Would love to go back again!

If you want to go on the dam, tickets are available at park gate which no one told us so we walked all the way and then had to leave since we didn't have tickets. Park is very badly maintained with most of the attractions in a very bad state. Overall, an average visit.

Its a beautiful hilltop park for the entire family. Kids have many attractions like merry go round, toy trains, see-saw, slides, bouncing castles, 6D movie theatre, mirror maze, bumper cars etc. There's horror house, adventure activities like zip-line for adults and aquarium and plant nursery for the laid back people. There are widespread gardens where you can simply walk, or just sit and relax. There's a water fountain with laser show which is open on Saturdays and Sundays evening .

Overall, Kozhikode Beach is a great destination with amazing food options, but better waste management and improved sanitation facilities would make it even more enjoyable.
Our visit was on a rainy and windy afternoon so we could not spend much time. However we have been to the beach at different times and spend time. We enjoy the gigantic waves and the cool breeze. It is a beautiful beach and keep it clean as some areas were not. Sunsets and sunrise are amazing 🤩

I visited Kozhikode Beach early in the morning around 6 a.m. The place was full of life...many people were out for exercise, walking, sitting, and relaxing. Near the park area, some were practicing martial arts, others were playing football, and quite a few were just enjoying watching the activities.
The atmosphere is vibrant and it’s a good spot to spend time. However, the beach is not at all hygienic. It is quite polluted, lacks proper walking paths, and is poorly maintained. With better cleanliness and care, Kozhikode Beach could truly become an excellent attraction for locals and visitors alike.
It is one among the most beautiful, peaceful, and cleanest beaches in Kerala, while you are in the city you must visit the beach in the evening, you can enjoy a wide variety of Kozhikode's flavour and enjoy the waves. It is maintained well by the corporation and vibe at the beach is mesmerising. Also the local food available in the small shops around the beach is also flavourful.

Water falls is very good. Don't expect much. But half a day we can spend. Better carry enough cash with you as the network is poor to use UPI in this area.
Takes around 1 and half hour from Coimbatore. Entry ticket for person is Rs.60 and for vehicle Rs.50. Entry will be closed at 2:00 PM and exit around 6:00 PM. After taking the ticket we have waited in a line and needed to get on a bus which takes deep in the forest area and there after needed to walk around 800 metres. It's a three step water fall and the place contains restrooms and changing rooms for both men and women. A great place to visit.

We can't go nearby the major waterfall whereas the other minor streams are accessible. But due to commercialisation it takes away the fun of being in nature. We went in an off season still there were lot of people, especially families whose major agenda is a picnic time without realising that they are in nature and their actions are actually polluting the environment. It would have been better if the place had not been commercialized and been an offbeat trek.
Siruvani Waterfalls - A Must-Visit Spot Near Coimbatore!
Siruvani, located on the outskirts of Coimbatore, is just a short drive from Karunya University. To reach there from Coimbatore city center (Gandhipuram), you can take bus number 59 or 59C. The bus will drop you at Sadivayal.
From Sadivayal, you'll need to purchase an entry ticket (₹60 per person). After a short walk, you'll be directed to a forest bus, which takes you closer to the stunning waterfalls.
Best Time to Visit:
Morning at around 9 AM—it's usually less crowded, allowing you to enjoy the place to the fullest.

A beautiful waterfall near Coimbatore! The area comes under the Forest Department, so it's well maintained and is a plastic free area.
You need to first buy the tickets and then park your vehicles a little ahead from there. From the parking area, only Forest department buses run every 10-15 minutes which is free of cost. The bus drops you in around 10 minutes and then you have a 10-15 minute trek from there. This way to the waterfall is beautiful, however the way can be cemented or made into stairs for elderly people to walk easily.
As we went on a weekend, it was very crowded towards the end. Plan to go a bit earlier.
Once we reached the entrance, we bought tickets. Then we walked up to the Bus Point where buses were coming to take visitors inside the reserved area. The Bus Point has some shops catering to the thirst of the visitors. On the opposite of the Bus Point and the Shops is the car parking area. The Bus takes 10 minutes to reach the Bus Point inside the forest. From there you walk uphill. It takes 10 minutes to 20 minutes depending on the capacity. There are scenic and photographic locations while going up the trek. After the trek you reach the waterfall point. Iron Bridges and platforms are there which you shall cross to reach the other side of the river, and then you take the stairs downhill. Mind you that the steps are very big. It does hurt your knees. There are washrooms and changing rooms located. You can change your dress and take a bath. It's great and worth it.

It was an amazing experience. Could clealy see the hair pin curve roads, the beautiful mountains, clouds and ofcourse the fresh air. You have to be there by 6 - 6:30am latest to get the most of it and spend an hour around, click pics etc. After that the mountains will be covered by snow (Koda in local language). If you aee staying in a nearby hotel, get up early, go to this place, come back and then have your breakfast n stuff. You won't be able to see anything after 8 - 8:30 am. No entrance fee and have few parkings on one side of the road. Since we reached there early, there were only a few tourists thus got parking very easily.

Decent spot in Wayanad with nice views from the lake. They have pedal boats, but cycling them is quite tiring and not very smooth. The place is okay, not the best. But still a relaxing break if you're nearby and want to enjoy some quiet time.
Went here without much expectations and there is nothing either, it's just a walk around the lake and if you are interested in some boating you can go here. Also we went during rainy season, there were lot of leeches every one has seen the blood.

Beautiful place to visit. Waterfall is active throughout the year. However, the flow reduces during March-May. If you are going with elderly people ensure that they can go and return around 2 k.m. Don't carry plastic bottles and food items. You can park your vehicles at the top. They will allow only 500 persons per day. I visited this water falls which is like 1km trek to the fall. It is under government and they charge 150 per person. Please mind taking student tickets which is only 50 rs. This trek is somewhat difficult. You should take about 2 hours. It not that worth visiting but if you feel to trek you must visit. Paid parking and local shops available also you have options of some activities near by.
Soochipara Waterfalls in Wayanad is a scenic spot surrounded by lush greenery. The short trek to the falls is a bit challenging but totally worth it. The waterfall is stunning, perfect for nature lovers. Clean, well-maintained, and refreshing experience. Enjoyed the falls. But the tickets are pricey.
We recommend buying tickets online or arriving early. The ticket price is ₹150 per person, and entry is not permitted without a ticket. The waterfalls are open all 365 days, but during the rainy season, only viewing is allowed—entering the waterfalls is not permitted.
Soochipara Waterfalls is soo good with wonderful water flow from the top of hill. Negative part is trekking, to reach this waterfalls we have to walk nearly 1 Kilometre additionally large large steps 🪜 to be used. After reaching Waterfalls it is worthy.
We visited this waterfall based on the suggestion and google review, but this place is a big NO!!! The start entry point is like the tip of the mountain and the waterfall is like at the base of mountain that much walking is to be done, there is lots of walking with slope and climb through the stones path and followed by big steps at the end which is difficult to go on, it cost Rs.150/- pp which is too much for the waterfall, if you are not in mood of walk and trek, this place is to be avoided! The gate closes around 5pm, all the guards are vanished at 5pm, there is no one around if you need any help if you go for the waterfall post 4pm, it took half hour for us to go to the waterfall and return half hour, 1 hour in total which is ascend and descend, as we spent only 5mins near the waterfall, as it was raining muddy water was falling and it was brown color. Do think twice before going for this waterfall, if you are up for a trek with proper shoes and mindset then its good!!

High Field tea factory is a popular spot visited by tourists. It mainly contains 2 shops - one selling various types of tea like regular tea, ginger tea and chocolate tea, oils, spices etc and the other where chocolates are made. Besides these 2 areas, there was a factory containing heavy equipment for processing tea.
It is an interesting and pleasant place to visit.

This park is just amazing! Many beautiful 100 years+ old trees will surprise you. There’s a small Lake which is also beautiful, have some children play area and has boating facility. The park has many many levels of steps to go down and cherish the beauty throughout the garden. Must Appreciate the horticulture team who is best in maintaining it. Best place for nature lovers who would like to see different types of trees which can be rarely seen only in botanical gardens. Also they have installed water vending machine & it feels satisfying to drink the water after the good long walk in the park.

A beautiful and serene temple having a peaceful ambiance, well managed by KG mills company. The deity inside is exactly the same as that of Tirupati Balaji, Andhra Pradesh. Inside there is a Goshala. There will be a crowd always and it takes a little bit of wait to get Darshan. The main deity and sanctum santorum is accessed by climbing stairs from the ground. There is a counter for selling Temple ladoos and another counter for serving temple prasadam. Then tirupati is a Hindu, Perumal temple is nearly maintained by a private organization.
Located in sirumugai road at a distance of 36 km from Gandhipuram and takes 55 minutes depending on traffic.
On the leftside of the road a board is kept by highways tamil nadu in front of the temple. Please, refer the board for entry (there's an error in showing the entrance by Google map). At the entrance itself they collect the cell, camera to maintain the silence at the temple venue. Taking photos on the premises is not allowed.

Some factory outlets and small sales counters and tea stall are available. Toilets, urinals and closets are maintained neatly.

A very calm and cozy private temple with a view of serene nature with a view of pure positivity. Mobile 📱 phones are not allowed inside the temple and there is a safe deposit for the mobile phones. Delicious Laddus for the cost of ₹50 each is available here. Apart from the temple there are lot of dress shops at cheaper price rate. Ample parking space for four wheelers, even to accommodate vans and buses are available. A small eatery, bakery and provision store is located with the temple premises, for the convenience of the devotees.
This place is maintained by KG denim company. Good big temple. Every day perumal marriage is being performed. Trigger had factory price shop inside the temple premises. The premises has good parking facility.
Nice and calm place to visit with family. This is a private owned temple by KG mills, that's the reason you can see Trigger outlets in and around the temple. I would suggest to visit this temple on Saturdays. Parking available for both cars and bikes. No fees for parking or to enter the temple. Mobile or any camera devices are not allowed inside the temple.

I visited the Ooty Rose Garden with a lot of excitement because every time I’ve gone in the past, it was full of colourful roses and truly eye-relaxing views. But this time, I was honestly shocked. There were almost no roses at all, and the entire place looked empty and dull. It felt completely waste to visit.
I even asked the workers there, and they said May is the peak season, so that’s why there were no blooms now. Maybe that is true, but still I didn’t expect the garden to look this plain. I went only because of the beautiful memories I had from previous visits, but this time it was very disappointing.
I hope they maintain it better throughout the year or at least inform visitors about the off-season, because people travel a long way expecting to see roses.

There may be a traffic near view point on week end we have to wait near 15 mins, but after that we can see the full beauty of the ooty view. We can cover almost full of the area from here. Stunning view is there try to be visit on sunny day otherwise mist may hide the view. Entry fee will be collected at the entry for vehicle and we have to pay 20 rs per head we can pay through UPI also. Many shops available there we can purchase small things. Restroom available here.
This peak offers a complete view of valley.There are snack outlets and even a having parlour.The entry ticket is 10₹. One can even buy sweaters and shawl and even hats. One weekends the place becomes highly crowded
This is a really good view spot in Ooty and a must visit, it is the tallest point in the Nilgiris. The experience was decent, first you are supposed to buy a ticket, but before you get in line for the ticket, you have to enter the market, which had clothes and souvenirs. There are may cameramen present there who will click and print photos on the spot. There is also a watchtower, which you can climb up to get a better view from the Peak. The road leading up to this peak is also scenic, with tall trees.
Doddabetta Peak, located approximately 5 km from Ooty town, holds the distinction of being one of the highest peaks in the region. It serves primarily as a viewpoint, offering high-altitude panoramic views of the entire Ooty area.

A few minutes away from Ooty centre, it's worth visiting. At Doddabetta checkpoint, around Rs 50-60 deducted for car entry. Entrance fee is Rs 10. This is a good view point in Gudalur-Ooty road near to Gudalur.
The sharp shape of the view point gives it the name Needle point.
There’s an entry fee of ₹20, the ticket counter is on the other side across the road. That side has a small snacks shop and a children’s play area.
The view point is around 500 meters away from main road, need to walk in a low to moderately steep slope. The walkway is paved mostly making it convenient to reach the top view point.
View point gives 360 degree view of the nearby plantations, tea estates, frog hill, Gudalur town and Mudhumali forest.
There are few mobile toilets setup but most not functional and remaining are not maintained properly. There are no drinking water stations. Few stone benches put up at the entrance.
At the top most point statue of a Nilgiri Tahr (Varayadu) is setup. It’s the state animal of Tamilnadu.

Located about 8 km before Gudalur on the Ooty–Gudalur road (NH 67).
From Ooty it’s roughly 35-40 km, depending on route/traffic.
The viewpoint gives 360-degree panoramic views — valleys, tea estates, forests (including Mudumalai), distant hills, etc.
If you’re in the Nilgiris / Ooty / Gudalur area, Needle Rock is well worth a stop. It doesn’t demand huge effort, but offers a reward in the form of sweeping natural vistas, fresh air, and serenity. Best times are early morning or in late afternoon. Carry water, wear good shoes, avoid rainy times if you want clear views.

Good spot for photography. It is a rocky ledge from where you will get a good view of the deep valleys down. The road to the peak is nice to walk on. Remember to visit it early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Otherwise the scorching sun will deter you.

The best time to visit is during the post-monsoon season. The entry ticket costs ₹65. Visitors need to walk about 200 meters to reach the falls. The road from the main road to the ticket counter is narrow and damaged in many places. There is a small parking area adjacent to the ticket counter. The tea plantation near the ticket counter is very beautiful. It is a great place to visit on the weekend.

Edakkal Caves, located in a remote area 25 kilometers away from Wayanad, are two natural caves formed due to the sons of Lord Rama. These caves are famous for their archaeological significance and unique rock formations with ancient engravings dating back to the Neolithic era. The prehistoric caves feature exquisite rock carvings and walls, situated at an elevation of 1,200 meters above sea level.
This particular place, old beautiful history, and it’s a beautiful side to watch, especially during rainy season.
In the fact that all these carving by the ancient human civilisation have survived for all these years is just mesmerising.
One has to climb up the hill. There’s a little hike which is required to reach this cave, which is on top of a small mountain. It’s a combination of both walkways and steps which leads us there. I wouldn’t consider it as extreme or very difficult. It’s a moderate trick, and I think people of any age group can do it very easily if they’re physically active.

The climb something which might be little challenging because these are the steps made out of rocks. However, the descent from the top of the caves to the bottom. There are metal staircases made by the government and it makes it easier to get down.

However, the parking is not easily identifiable, lots of these for cars are given to the buses. The hike from parking to the cave is moderately challenging, with 5-6 steep slopes. We went on a Sunday so it was extremely crowded with many people jumping queues and yelling. More staff is needed to manage the crowd on such days.
The journey begins at a parking ticket counter on the main road, the fee was ₹30 for a car. They assign a numbered parking area (ours was No. 7), and from there, you walk some distance before the line of small shops begins. The path gets progressively steeper, though it’s a tar road initially.
After a long uphill walk, you’ll reach another ticket counter (₹50 per person) to continue further. Beyond this point, the path turns rocky and steeper, and you’ll need to climb or walk over rocks carefully. There’s even a narrow opening to pass through, a fun little adventure before you reach the upper section.
The views from there are beautiful, and thankfully, steel railings have been installed to assist with the climb. At the top, on the right side, there’s a cave-like chamber where you can see ancient carvings, not very clear, but still fascinating to witness in person. The exit route is separate and has full steel railing support for an easier descent.

I visited Bandipur Tiger Reserve in the afternoon and had a wonderful experience. Although I didn’t spot a tiger, I saw plenty of wildlife, including many beautiful peacocks, playful monkeys, majestic elephants, and lots of deer. The forest is lush and peaceful, making it a perfect place for nature lovers. A must-visit if you want to enjoy nature and wildlife up close!

A beautiful wildlife sanctuary with rich biodiversity and serene landscapes. The safari is well-managed, giving a good chance to spot elephants, deer, bison, peacocks, and if lucky, the majestic tiger or leopard. The forest feels untouched and peaceful. A must-visit for nature and wildlife lovers seeking an authentic jungle experience.
However, you have to wait for getting tickets as there is only one window and there is always crowd.
Afternoon safari 2.30 pm trip. In matter of 1 & half hrs we got to see the wilderness of Bandipur... Kind of okay...got to see spotted deers, langurs, elephants.... Was hoping for better experience... anyway let's see...
It’s a scam, they charge so much and in return they don’t even take us properly inside forest. Other than elephant and deer you cant spot anything. Don’t waste your time. After changing so much for safari you even need to pay 60rs for parking
Bandipur Tiger Reserve forest is a lush green thick forest shutter to numerous number of birds and animals.
This road leads to Ooty, Tamil Nadu.
This natural forest is a treat to watch.
WE spotted lot of Deers.
If you are lucky you can see Elephants, Peacocks, Tigers also. This forest is a land of lot of tigers.
If you want a rich wild life experience Bandipur Tiger Reserve is a perfect getaway.
Monsoon Season will be the best time to visit.
One of the best forest roads I've ever traveled — driving alongside animals in their natural habitat was an unforgettable experience.
Pls pick camper or gypsy don't go for bus safari , they won't take you many places , the moment the bus starts from ticker counter that timings starts which does not make any sense , from ticket counter to safari road it will take 30 mins , so in ( Bus safari )90 mins 30 mins is wasted , better choose to camper or gypsy , mainly to spot tiger you need a sheer luck but however even they wont put any efforts on that.
Better you buy tickets online so you will have separate counter for buying tickets even if you buy online you need to get that from counter with vehicle number and seat number try to reach there 35-40 minutes before

Kabini was absolutely stunning! So scenic and peaceful and the rains just made it all the more magical. Everything felt super calm and refreshing. Honestly, the perfect little nature break!
It's one of the most beautiful places for weekend gateway near Bangalore. Very pretty and peaceful. You even get to see different kinds birds . You can try boating and coracle boat. Karnataka govt has camp site event many private resorts are there on the bank of the river. We saw otter animal which is very rare to find out. It was very serene atmosphere.
Beautiful ride along State highway 33 overseeing Kibana river and its backwaters. Lake is clearly visible from road from various angles. Usually full of clouds, it gives amazing views. Be careful of the rains as there are hardly any shades for long distance. Mornings are usually dry.
A nice place with crystal clear water.Many resorts are there on the banks of the river.You could go to the river directly too.Fishermen would fish in coracles and if you insist they might give you a coracle ride also.Several species of birds can be spotted here.
The best place to chill. More to explore on two wheels. Best for sunset. Perfect weekend gateway. Just 60kms from Mysore. The back Waters are just mind boggling.
Amazing place to visit ! I absolutely loved it ! There's this chill vibe to it and there are not many people around. The view is amazing! And hey, there's an abandoned boat you can take cool pictures at! The place itself is very picturesque.
A wonderful water way which carries a lot of traditional and cultural relics. The drive along the river is the best to opt for a days drive. The net work of roads around the place is seriously confusing. Rely on local people for directions. Chekadi is the location

What a beautiful temple situated on the top of BR Hills. We went on a Sunday afternoon, normally temple remains closed from 2-4pm but to our luck it was open. We took the special pass for 100/- per head and completed the darshan in less than 15mins. Temple has got beautiful architecture and you can view the hills and greenery from the temple surrounding.
Car Parking space is available but with lot of crowd, it can be bit challenging to park considering the slope.

The roads are winding but the view from the top and the sight of the God is all just worth it.. everyone should experience this once in a life time.. I was lucky enough to be on the right place the right time.. we got to see nature Goddess and the real God and Goddess just so beautifully.. the people around were really good and sweet as well..

Don't par & got down from ur vechile anywhere inside forest, it's very dangerous, animals may attack you. So be carefull while travelling in side the forest.
Forst check point exit time is 6pm in the evening .
Saturday, sunday and festival days extended up to 6:30pm is exit time.l, But it's not officially.
Spiritual Ranganath swamy temple atop of Biligiri hills in chamarnagar district .
What a vibes we have over the hills on top of hills . Cool breeze and clouds welcome you to temple top.
You can go in a car to temple top. Free and paid Darshan is available . Wait time is 10 to 20 min . Sri Ranganathswamy idol is really mesmerising . There is free food offered to all the devotees .
There are couple of hotels offer stay . It’s worth whole staying a night over there.
Road is nice to drive through the forest .
BR hills is the most visited place . Temple is closed for devotees between 2-4pm.

You should be there before sunset for darshan then enjoy the sunset outside the temple.

Perched atop anjillol on the western ghats mountain ranges is this lovely small temple housingnthe direty Sri Ranganatha Swamy and Alamelu Ranganayaki Ammanavaru.

The road from the foothills to the temple offers a top-notch feeling as it winds through dense forest. Condition of the single road is a driver's dream come true. Experienand skill is essential to negotiate oncoming vehicles, still manageable.
Forest jeep safari is available in the morning 6 to 8 AM and evening 3 to 5 PM. We were done temple run by 11 AM, hence skipped the safari to avoid waiting
