Kampung Kuantan Fireflies Park in Selangor offers a serene experience with sampan-boat river trips to witness the mesmerizing sight of fireflies glowing in the dark. The natural mangrove swamps along the Selangor River provide a home to countless gentle fireflies, creating a magical spectacle after dusk. Visitors can embark on a boat tour to witness hundreds of thousands of these luminous creatures twinkling in their natural habitat, making for an unforgettable and romantic experience.
A trip to Kuala Selangor for the Fireflies park is a must if you’re going with kids as they can enjoy seeing the Fireflies in the darkness, Eagle feeding and Blue tears experience as well. Even the boat ride will be a fun experience for both adults and kids. Watch out for the weather conditions before you book tickets as it can play spoil sport. Have fun.

We visited here on the way back to penang from KL. It was RM60 per boat for 4 people but they let us have 5 people cuz we're a family. It was nice and cold but scary even tho nothing bad happened. I wouldn't recommend for kids and senior but maybe calm adults. The fireflies were kinda small because it just rained that time. They let u on a boat, go to a bush about 500m away to see the fireflies in the water. The boat was paddling boat not engine. They provide you life jackets incase of emergency. It was scary at first but it became ok Scary cuz it was only available at night and the water was dark. Luckily it was a moon night , butthe boat driver say moon night worse cuz harder to see the fireflies
Zhuin B — Google review
The best place in town to see fireflies! An incredible experience! They take you quietly down the river in a small boat (maximum four people) which makes the experience much more environmentally friendly. We recommend it and would definitely repeat! Much better than any other crowded tour!
Marta S — Google review
Good experience for the family members to watch the fireflies. Very enjoyable sampan cruise along the river. The staff are friendly and courteous to the visitors. Safety jackets are compulsory to be worn during the cruise.
Mustaza A — Google review
I love this unique experience, so quite so peace rolling the boat on the stream while witnessing the firefly, river, mangrove, night sky and trees. Highly recommend to you that looking for unique experiences. My boy love it too!
Hikki S — Google review
I loved this special experience—the night sky, the gentle breeze, and the twinkling fireflies. It was so quiet and peaceful, with only the faint sound of the oars in the water.
Cynthia S — Google review
Magical experience. The whole process was dark and quite, it's where serenity comes in. - Counter opens at 7.30pm - 10.30pm - 1 sampan could fit 4 persons and costs RM 60 - Can walk-in, no pre-book needed - Payment by cash at the counter or Visa MasterCard at the kiosk - Lifejacket provided
Hazman H — Google review
Took 'sampan' for a short tour to see fire flies. Max. 4 pax per boat. Very good tour guide to explain about the type of Fireflies, history, etc. But really nearby the jetty only. Unfortunately, not many Fireflies. A bit disappointed.

We had a great time with our guide Apiz. We both had a little off road experience although not on dirt bikes but we still chose the mad bastard trail as a first try out. The main difference between them isn't necessarily the technicality but how long they are. The route spends most of its time through dirt trails that cross a plantation where you'll find lakes, monkeys, lizards, and cows hanging out. The bikes are noticeably used but ours were mechanically good. The clutch, brakes, suspension all gave confidence along with good quality tyres with lots of tread left. The gear is getting a little old but they do have plenty of options to make sure you have gear that fits and protects you. Just ask and the team can help you out. We'd definitely go back some time to be able to do the longer trails.

Amazing day bashing the trails around Rawang! Great communication when I was abroad via email, then through WhatsApp when I arrived in Malaysia. I was greeted by Mike the mechanic and Syaiful, my amazing guide for the day, and welcomed in to the shop with a delicious breakfast and briefing for the day. Water and drinks were dished out generously and then I was kitted up with trousers, shirt, armour, boots and lid - all good quality gear and fitted well. After a quick bike check (I was on the KLX250) and spin up and down the road, we were off!! I’ve got plenty of road experience but only once been offroadi g in the uk so this was pretty new for me. Syaiful was the perfect guide - gave tips if needed but mainly gave confidence and freedom to explore the bike and trails at just the right level of speed and fun! The trails themselves were awesome! I opted for the Lake Coma trail - perfect for my level, great trails, some more challenging tech stuff and amazing scenery all around! We had a couple of breaks to hydrate on the way round and stopped off for a delicious lunch back near the shop before ending. So glad I got to do this - will be a massive highlight (possibly best) of my Malaysia trip! Thank you to all of the MotoManiac team!!

I have done « 2 Days Guided Dirt Motorcycle Tour in Selangor, near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia » it was an unforgettable adventure ; All Moto Maniac staff was so friendly , efficient, doing everything possible to make this experience enjoyable. Bike and all security equipment provided in good condition. My guide was excellent, selecting the perfect track suitable for my driving skills, challenging but not too much , helping me when necessary, interesting and funny . Really beautiful wild landscapes. Personal Luggage and dry equipment for day 2 transported to the hotel by car. 2 days is the good timing when coming from Singapor. Hôtel was simple but clean.

Had a great 2 days with these guys. Epul our guide was awesome. So friendly and easy going. Mike the mechanic is a bloody legend as well. He had all our riding gear cleaned ready for the following day while we slept off a couple of tigers!!😀 Would highly recommend anyone to do this 2 day tour. We will be back.

Great outfit for your dirt bike adventures. I was staying in Kuala Lumpur in august 2023 and had a few days to do some riding. The guys at Motomaniac helped me out from the moment I made contact with them (email) until the moment I left back to KL. Communication switched to WhatsApp and made it easy to fine tune skill levels, bikes choices, expectations and ride options. I did 1 day riding an easy track and days 2 and 3 I went on the overnight adventure. This was al very well arranged with the crew taking care of my luggage and stay in the small town at the end of an epic day riding. The shop has plenty of gear, changing rooms and a shower (which you will need ;) ). The guides know the area well and try to accommodate to your needs. All in all friendly people and some great riding for most skill levels. Will go again when I’m in the KL area!

KL Bird Park

KL Bird Park is a 173-acre paradise in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, featuring thousands of colorful birds in free-roaming areas, walk-through aviaries, and traditional enclosures. It is part of the Perdana Botanical Gardens and offers various attractions such as the Orchid Garden, Deer Park, Butterfly Park, and Islamic Art Museum.
It was such a nice experience being here. For those with kids, I really recommend bringing them along, they’ll have lots of fun activities to do and get to see so many different bird species. Just a heads up, parking can be a bit tricky if you arrive after 10 am. The staff are super friendly and helpful 👍🏼 and there are two gift shops, one at the entrance and another inside the bird park 👍🏼
Hidayah M — Google review
It's one of the world biggest aviary as per their claim. Having a good variety of species. Flamingos and peacocks are the major attractions. Nothing like a magnificent spot that you should not miss. If you are visiting KL with Kids you can consider spending 1 hour here. It is difficult to walk through the park during summer in KL due to extreme hot weather.
Ebin J — Google review
We visited the bird park on a weekend and encountered very moderate crowds. The park is spacious enough to accommodate a lot of visitors, so I’d come back on a weekend as well. Please note that you’re not allowed to bring food into the park. Anything larger than a small bag pack may trigger a conversation with the security guard at the entrance gate as well. After a brief discussion, we were asked to bring the water we just bought at the kiosk at the entrance into the park. Please note that these restrictions are in place to protect the wildlife in the park. In the past, too many morons have fed them things that made birds severely sick or even killed them. The park is very well walkable with a stroller, with a few steps that may force you to take a detour. Please note that there are inclines, though. So if you’re pushing a wheelchair better have a good breakfast… The bird show at 10:30 am and 15:00 pm is worth watching. Very entertaining, not too long, and with some nice tricks to be shown. There are other events scheduled every day, so please check their latest event time table to not miss out on interesting events.

My mum and I are visiting from Australia, and since she absolutely loves birds, I had to bring her to KL Bird Park and we’re so glad we came! We both loved it. It was quite a hot day during our visit, and there isn’t much shade around, so we took a few breaks to sit down and rest, but that didn’t take away from the experience. There are so many incredible birds to see here, you could easily spend around 3 hours exploring. You can watch my POV experience video below, see @bhav.xo for more Our favourite part was definitely the parrot area! We both dressed in bright, colourful outfits, which I highly recommend doing, it makes the experience even more fun when the parrots fly over to you. Feeding them was such a highlight; they sit on your arms, shoulders, and even your head! It’s completely safe, and their claws didn’t damage our clothes at all. The entire park is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff were all so kind and welcoming. It also wasn’t as crowded as I expected, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I honestly wish more people would visit, it’s such a beautiful, peaceful, and interactive place to connect with nature. Overall, KL Bird Park is a must-visit in Kuala Lumpur, especially if you love animals or want a unique, wholesome experience to share with family.
Bhavninder S — Google review
Visiting Birb Park feels like stepping into a living orchestra of birds. As soon as i enter, i’re greeted by the sound of soft coos, bright tweets, and the occasional squawk from a bold parrot. The park’s paths wind through shaded trees and open ponds, where ducks glide lazily across the water and tiny finches dart between branches. People stroll quietly, some with cameras, others just sitting on benches watching the “birds” go about their day. There’s a sense of calm connection — a reminder that nature’s beauty is often small, fast-moving, and full of personality.
Gobi N — Google review
Had a 3 hours visiting the bird park. It is very spacious and has a big open area for most birds like pheasants, doves and pidgeons. There are little shops for refreshment within the park and clean toilets. It’s only 4 stars since some of the cages for certain birds are really small and in my opinion not really big enough or fit for the birds living in them. Also there was an eagle but it was bound to a pole and basically couldn’t move or fly at all which is quite sad.
Wai C — Google review
Excellent visit. Good for both children and elders... Over 3000 varities of birds are there as per their information. We can see plenty of Peacocks walking around freely, sometimes near us. Please play safely and keep the area and environment clean.
Ssamy K — Google review
Very well put together place with am absolute ton of different bird species. Definitely birds I never knew even existed were on display. You can spend a good deal of time here and not get tired of it. If you are even remotely a fan of birds then this is your place.

Menara Kuala Lumpur, one of the tallest freestanding towers globally and the highest in Southeast Asia, stands majestically at 421 meters. This iconic landmark is not just a communications hub but also a fantastic viewpoint offering breathtaking panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur. Visitors can indulge in a unique dining experience at its revolving restaurant, which provides a stunning 360-degree perspective of the city as they savor their meals.
KL Tower is one of the most iconic landmarks in Kuala Lumpur and an absolute must-visit for anyone exploring the city. Standing tall above the skyline, it offers incredible panoramic views that stretch across the entire city and beyond. From the moment you arrive, the structure itself is impressive, combining modern design with a touch of elegance. The highlight of the visit is undoubtedly the observation deck. From this vantage point, you can see the Petronas Towers, bustling city streets, and even the surrounding greenery that balances the urban landscape. On clear days, the view is breathtaking, while in the evenings, the glittering city lights create a completely different but equally stunning experience. For those seeking a bit more thrill, the Sky Deck and Sky Box are unforgettable. Stepping into the glass box suspended high above the ground gives an adrenaline rush while also allowing for some incredible photo opportunities. Beyond the views, KL Tower also has attractions like a small zoo, cultural exhibits, and dining options, making it more than just an observation tower. The staff were courteous and the facilities well maintained, ensuring a smooth experience. KL Tower is not just about the height; it’s about experiencing Kuala Lumpur from an entirely new perspective. Truly unforgettable.

IT's one of the most iconic landmarks in Kuala Lumpur and an absolute must-visit for anyone visiting the city. Standing above the skyline, offers 360° panoramic views across the entire city and beyond. The structure itself is Impressive and offers the best views - reccomend to visit at sunset! The interior is not that impressive but offers some history , a sweets shop and some souvenir shops. For those seeking a bit more adventure and not afraid of heights, the Sky Deck and Sky Box are the place. Couple of extra floors up. Stepping into the glass box suspended high above the ground gives an adrenaline rush while also giving the opportunity for some incredible photos. Overall a great place to visit. Unfortunately, to get back downstairs was a nightmare as they had just 1 lift working so we wasted about 30 min of our lives there queueing to get out. Would have appreciated some more attention to this detail and maybe a small cafe to kill that waiting time. With love, K @iam.krisztina

Beautiful view Top. Best if u visit during 🌅 sunsets. Plus the night view is also stunning I liked the sky deck view as we can sit there and enjoy your time staring at whole kuala lumpur. Must visit place better then twin tower view from top. Check my vlog on youtube @travelfeelss Batu caves and kl tower for tour of this beautiful tower.

I got the combo ticket that included both the Sky Terrace and the Observation Deck at KL Tower. After enjoying the open-air breeze and the stunning, wide-open city view from the Sky Terrace, I honestly regretted getting the combo. the Sky Terrace alone was more than enough! The view of Kuala Lumpur from up there was absolutely breathtaking.
JW K — Google review
Also known as the KL tower, this telecom structure has a 360 degree viewing platform. Views in all directions are clear and very interesting. There are far more parks and woodlands in KL than ground level exploring reveals. The city is almost surrounded by beautiful wooded mountains.
Glenn H — Google review
World’s seventh tallest observation tower, built in the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city. It provided a 360 degree view of the city. Visitors can overlook the famous patrons towers, financial tower among other attractions. The tower is more than 100 meters tall and the elevator takes around a minute to reach. They’ve three floors, glass covered deck, outdoor deck and glass bottom box. You’d encounter buildings covered in clouds during rainy days. There’s a shuttle bus taking visitors from the entrance gate to the tower base. The tickets are available at counter available for purchase with either card or digital payment, no cash payment allowed as they’re now cashless. However, you can grab it at a discount of 10 RM if you buy online one day in advance. There’s a couple of food options at the base and an open lawn for you to relax. The hop on hop off bus stop is right outside the lawn and taxi pick service is available too.
Sagar K — Google review
Visited the observation deck and the revolving restaurant for high tea. The view of the city and the hills was good before a thunderstorm rolled in and everything just turned white. Being inside a storm was awesome, the tall building was a lightening conductor and I saw it get struck several times. Highly recommend!

Jln Alor

Notable street
Neighborhoods
Jln Alor is a bustling hub in Kuala Lumpur, known for its plethora of Asian street food hawkers, beer vendors, and outdoor dining options. It's a popular spot for tourists seeking an authentic culinary experience. In addition to the vibrant food scene, visitors can explore nearby attractions such as Pudus ICC hawker food centre and Connaught garden food market accessible by Uber.
The perfect place for those who want to try Asian street food and more. The street is not long but it is lined on both sides with dozens of restaurants and mobile stands selling delicious food. It is a very interesting mix of light, color, and crowd. I would stay there for a week or even longer, to taste everything!
Paul C — Google review
Please visit Alor Street if you're looking for multicultural food, especially seafood & durian✨ The food is quite good but not really that fancy. The crowd is a bit overwhelming for me but I always come back here again‼️
Putu N — Google review
The Main Street is hectic and expensive. Go back a couple of streets, get away from the hordes and you will find great food at half the price. The Indian place in the photos is a ripper but there are a few Thai places close that are well priced too.
Rob F — Google review
A must go! Atmospheric, full of energy, a unique experience. Visitors will have trouble choosing which restaurant to go to. There are touts everywhere. Be prepared to sweat it out, but hats part of the experience!
Ron Y — Google review
It has changed so much since I have visited more than 20 years ago. It has became just another tourist place of visit and not longer the food heaven that I have remembered it to be.
Jack T — Google review
Such a wonderful experience! We tried delicious fish and loved the lively, crowded atmosphere of the food street
Fatemeh H — Google review
A buzzing food street. I’m not a big fan of seafood but it was still quite an experience. There are also some meat options like skewers, and the juices were amazing
Fahad — Google review
Everyone said this was the food street of KL and there was lots of food there.. But I would struggle to return, loud, dirty, bright flashing signs everywhere and quite a few rats on the side streets by the overflowing bins. Did find a OK place to eat, probably one of the better ones but would not return. A lot of the food appeared to be mass produced food for the masses and not that authentic. Did and would recommend choosing a quieter 'more local' eatery.

Aquaria KLCC is a sprawling aquarium that offers an immersive underwater experience with over 5,000 exhibits showcasing marine and land creatures. Visitors can stroll through a clear tunnel as fish swim overhead, witness feeding shows, and interact with sea cucumbers and starfish at Gene Pool. The aquarium features more than 150 species of marine life including tiger sharks, sea snakes, rays, coral fish, and seahorses.
Last week we visited Aquaria KLCC with the kids and it was such a wonderful experience for the whole family. The kids were really excited and enjoyed every moment. Inside, we could see so many different kinds of sea creatures — from sharks, turtles, big stingrays, and seahorses, to many unique types of fish. The aquarium is well maintained, clean, and the display tanks are very impressive. The staff were also friendly and helpful, making the visit even more comfortable. It was not only fun for the children but also educational, because they could learn about marine life while watching it up close. Overall, it was a happy and memorable trip for us. Definitely a recommended place to visit in KL, especially for families with kids.
Fahmee A — Google review
This place has been around since I was in primary school, and now that I already have a kid, it’s still the same. Honestly, nothing much has changed. Price 💵💳 Ticket price is RM48 on weekends and RM44 on weekdays. You can buy tickets online, and they also have a combo ticket for 2 parents and 1 child. The entrance line can be long whether you buy online or walk in, you’ll still queue in the same lane. For online tickets, you’ll need to show proof with your MyKad and MyKid. Babies under 2 years old enter for free. Environment 🪼 The place isn’t very spacious, but there are plenty of fish to see. Facilities are okay, but they could really use some improvement because nothing seems to have changed in decades. Parking🚗🚕🚙 For parking, you can park at Suria KLCC and walk through the connecting link between Suria KLCC and Traders Hotel. If you’re at Suria, find the Maybank inside n next to it, there’s a passage that connects directly to Aquaria. Alternative Parking🚗🚕🚙 Alternatively, you can park at the Traders building itself and go up to Level C, or at UOA Open Parking which is about a 5-minute walk away. It’s easy to spot, and parking there costs RM10 per day.

We visited Aquaria KLCC on 29 October, myself, my mom, siblings, and their kids. We had a great time overall! The kids were really entertained, and we truly enjoyed the exhibits and the entire walkthrough. Just to share some feedback for future visitors, I noticed on the website it says the elevator is under maintenance until further notice. Since Im not too familiar with the layout, I thought it referred to the escalator near the entrance. We purchased our tickets online through Klook as planned, but upon arrival, the staff kindly explained that the elevator issue meant we would need to use the stairs between floors. Unfortunately, we had strollers with us, and there were no lockers to keep them, so we had to carry them by hand. Not really a big problem, but it would be super helpful if the website announcement included a photo or a short note explaining which elevator is affected, that way, parents or elderly visitors can plan ahead. Also, a huge thank you to the team for their kindness! Especially the lady near the escalator and Danial at the entrance, they were both incredibly helpful and understanding when I accidentally scanned one extra ticket (for my dad who didnt join the trip). They handled it very professionally and made the whole experience smooth. Despite the small inconvenience, we loved our visit and will definitely come back again for the in adventure!
Fitri N — Google review
The aquarium is well organised and clean, with a good flow from one zone to another. The underwater tunnel was the highlight, walking through it while sharks and stingrays glide above is an amazing sight. The staff were friendly and helpful. The environment is fully air-conditioned, which makes it a comfortable stop in the city. It’s also stroller and wheelchair-friendly and easy to access from Suria KLCC or the Convention Centre. It can get a bit crowded during weekends, but visiting early in the day helps. Overall, it’s a great place to learn about marine life and spend about one to two hours in Kuala Lumpur. Definitely worth visiting!
ZHENG C — Google review
Had a wonderful time at Aquaria KLCC! The entire place is beautifully maintained and gives you a magical underwater experience. From colourful fishes to sharks, stingrays, jellyfish and many unique species, every section is truly fascinating. The 90-meter tunnel walkway was the highlight — it really feels like walking under the ocean! The ambience is calm, the exhibits are well-organised, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It’s a perfect spot to visit with family, friends, or your partner, and you can easily spend 1–2 hours exploring everything. What I didn’t like: The food court outside didn’t have good vegetarian options, which was a little disappointing. Also, the photos they click inside are quite expensive, so keep that in mind before purchasing. Overall, it’s still a must-visit attraction in Kuala Lumpur if you love marine life and want a relaxing, fun experience. Worth visiting at least once!
Priyanka G — Google review
The experience was truly worthwhile and will definitely be coming back again! To those who are interested, I recommend going when you or multiple of your family members are celebrating your birthday on that month to get FREE ENTRY. Not just recommended for tourists, but also for locals. The place is undescribable and you'll definitely want to come again after your first visit. Also, best to visit during weekdays because it's always a full house here for sure, especially on the weekends.
Emcee B — Google review
My recent visit to the aquarium was a short but incredibly positive experience, providing a much-needed break from the everyday hustle. The highlight was standing in front of the massive ocean tunnel tank. For a few minutes, everything else melted away. The deep, calming blue of the water and the graceful, silent movement of the stingrays gliding by felt truly meditative.

The aquarium in the center of Twinter has many uniquely shaped and bold tanks that really caught my attention. You can see impressive fish like Biracle and Villania from various angles, making the whole experience feel like a little adventure. It’s a fun and exciting place, and I truly recommend visiting it.

Petronas Twin Towers

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
The Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, were once the tallest buildings in the world and remain an iconic symbol of the city. These modern Islamic-designed towers stand at 88 stories high and offer a visitor skybridge for breathtaking views. Guided tours are available for visitors to explore the towers, including the Observation Deck on the 86th floor with stunning panoramic views.
Ear popping experience you will not regret. Buying tickets in advance online recommended. Takes less than an hour and the staff are all very helpful and guide you thru every stop to the skybridge and top on the 86th floor observation deck. Great gift shops on top floor and ground as you exit. They even let you mail your postcards right there! Put this short but memorable stop on your list in KL!

Visited this place recently and I must say I found this building quite charming compared to other high towers. We went during twilight and could see the sound and light show as well. People were very well organised and there is a lot of place to sit around too. Loved the vibes of this place and could be amazing to spend the evening here.

Petronas twin towers, more commonly known as the twin towers, is one of the most iconic landmarks in the whole of Malaysia. This architectural masterpiece is truly stunning, mesmerizing, breath taking. It's extremely beautiful, and is massively tall. It almost feels like the top of the tower fades away into the sky. The twin towers used to be the tallest building in Malaysia, but the less known Merdeka 108 is actually taller. Regardless, no one can deny the twin towers beauty. It is the first place we visited after arriving in Malaysia, and we truly had a whale of a time here. I've never seen anything like this in any of rhe other places I've visited in the past. The inside of the twin towers is paid. But the Suria KLCC mall in the first few floors, in the base of the towers are free. We find visit there, the prices are a bit astronomical for my taste. However, for the wealthy travellers, almost every luxury/high end brand we couldn't afford is here! One interesting I must note is the toilets in the ground floor are 2RM (rather expensive) to use. But if you go to the second floor, (or first perhaps), the toilets are free. So save yourself and your family 2RM and go to the second floor and use the toilet for free. It's not that nice though, most other malls had nicer toilets. Regardless, toilets aside, this is truly one of the best views I've ever seen.

The Petronas Twin Towers are not just the tallest twin towers in the world, they’re the glittering heart of modern KL. By day or night, they’re a jaw-dropping sight, especially when lit up against the city skyline. Start your visit inside Suria KLCC at the base of the towers—a huge and elegant shopping mall with everything from high-end luxury brands to local favourites. You’ll also find an excellent mix of restaurants, food courts, and cafes—perfect for everything from a quick bite to a fancy dinner. But don’t stop there—take a stroll through KLCC Park behind the towers. It’s beautifully landscaped with fountains, shaded paths, and a huge man-made lake. You’ll get amazing photos from different angles of the towers, especially during golden hour or when the towers light up at night. There’s even a free light and fountain show every evening! Fun fact: The towers were once the tallest buildings in the world (1998–2004) and still hold the record for tallest twin towers globally. They stand at 452 metres and are joined by the famous Skybridge on levels 41 and 42—which you can actually visit! If you’re in KL, this place is an absolute must—whether for shopping, dining, photography, or just soaking in the vibe of one of Southeast Asia’s most iconic landmarks.

The Petronas Twin Towers are truly magnificent, an architectural marvel that leaves you in awe the moment you lay eyes on them. It’s almost unbelievable that such a masterpiece was conceived and constructed nearly four decades ago. The design is both futuristic and timeless, perfectly blending modern engineering with Malaysian cultural elements. Whether you’re admiring them from the ground, walking the skybridge, or standing at the observation deck, the Petronas Towers offer a perspective that reminds you of human creativity and ambition at its finest. A must-visit landmark that truly defines Kuala Lumpur’s skyline.

Amazing experience!🤩 I absolutely loved the night view — the KLCC Twin Towers look breathtaking when they light up after dark. The atmosphere is calm, the surroundings are vibrant, and the whole place feels magical. • Tickets not really recommended 🎫— you can enjoy most of the beauty from outside. • Easily accessible via KLCC Metro Station 🚇, just a short walk away. • Don’t miss the water fountain show 🌊— it usually happens between 8 PM to 9 PM, and it’s stunning to watch at night. A must-visit spot in Kuala Lumpur, especially at night!
Rahool — Google review
The Petronas Twin Towers are impressive from every angle, and during my visit they were lit in bright Diwali colours - an Indian celebration marking the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil. It made the night view especially striking. The skybridge and observation deck are worth the ticket cost, offering clear, expansive views of the city. The architecture carries real meaning too: the towers are based on an eight-pointed Islamic geometric pattern, reflecting Malaysia’s Muslim heritage, and their 1990s construction involved unusually deep foundations and high-strength concrete. Also worth mentioning the beautiful intergration and coexistence of cultures and ethnicities alongside each other that becomes clear as soon as you enter Malaysia. Chinese, Malaysian and Indian ethnicities can be observed having very minimal segregation and it’s amazing to see just how much they embrace one another’s culture and allow time and space for all to celebrate their religious traditions. I’m only dropping one star because of the people at the intersection out front who aggressively try to sell photo services. It slightly disrupts an otherwise excellent visit.

Nice tourist place to visit. The people working there were friendly and helpful. The tour conducted was very orderly and well-planned. We enjoyed the Malaysian dance at the end of the tour. Thank you.

KLCC Park is a sprawling 50-acre urban oasis nestled around the iconic Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur. The park features a manmade lake called Lake Symphony, where visitors can enjoy choreographed fountain displays and water shows. With over 1900 trees, including various species of palms and indigenous flora, the park was carefully designed to attract local and migratory birds while promoting biodiversity. Visitors can also explore walking paths, sculptures, a playground for kids, and even a wading pool.
I really like the concept of this park, a beautiful green space right in the middle of the city. No wonder it has become such a popular tourist attraction. Its location is very strategic and easy to reach. The park is also super kid-friendly, with a playground and pools that are completely free to use. A perfect place for families to relax and enjoy nature amidst the city life.

A beautiful park right in front of the Petronas Towers .it’s incredible to see a fountain show set against the backdrop of towering skyscrapers in the heart of the city. The park is super well-maintained, easy to access, and has plenty of spots to sit and relax. Grabbing a coffee from Suria Mall and watching the fountain show here was the perfect way to unwind and refresh.
JW K — Google review
Definitely worth your time to walk around the park. Take lots of pictures of the plants and trees. Water fountain display turned on about mid afternoon and was pretty good. Large park for children and wading pool. Amazing sitting in the middle of gigantic buildings and feeling comfortable. Enjoyed a couple of beers, sitting down and people watching.

An awesome, really well-kept park—super green and full of trees. There are plenty of benches where you can sit and relax. It’s the perfect spot to just hang out. And if you’re into running, there’s a jogging track laid out all around, which I’m pretty sure was designed just for that. It’s also a great spot to catch a different view of the Petronas Towers. If you’re bringing kids along, there’s a splash park where they can have tons of fun, plus a playground to keep them entertained.
Teamir Y — Google review
Very beautiful park in the middle city of Kuala Lumpur. Especially when you come to this downtown park on a sweltering afternoon. The clear fountain lake winds through the lush tropical greenery, bringing a sense of coolness and calm. Whether you sit down for a short rest or take a leisurely stroll, the whole place feels wonderfully comfortable.

202511 Always love visiting this park right smack in the middle of the “concrete jungle”. Love the mangroves and flora. Love the water park and fountain, and the nightly water show. Very well kept strolling, running and seating areas.

Green atmosphere, green air, freshing. They also operate a running show here the day I’ve came. Very comfortable while you step your foot in here. Great view, huge campus
Hoàng P — Google review
The playground at KLCC Park is one of the best in Kuala Lumpur! It’s huge, well-maintained, and filled with a wide variety of play equipment like slides, swings, climbing structures, and bridges. Right next to it, there’s also a wading pool where kids can splash around safely, which makes it even more fun. The area is surrounded by trees, so it feels shady and cool even during the day. Parents can sit on benches around the playground while keeping an eye on their kids. What’s even better—it’s completely free! This is a perfect spot for families visiting KLCC, especially if you want your kids to play and burn some energy after exploring the city. Highly recommended for both locals and tourists with children.

Batu Caves

Batu Caves, located in Kuala Lumpur, is a must-see destination with its ancient limestone caves and Hindu temples. The 400-million-year-old mystical caves are nestled within a massive limestone cliff and have been an important religious site for Hindus. In 2018, the entire complex was renovated, including the iconic rainbow-colored staircase that has made it a popular spot for Instagram-worthy photos.
Currently the tall statue is under repairing Batu Caves is a very famous Hindu temple and tourist spot in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Simple explanation: ⛰️ It is a limestone hill with a huge cave temple inside. 🪔 The entrance has a big golden statue of Lord Murugan (one of the tallest in the world). 🪜 You must climb 272 colourful steps to reach the main cave. 🕉️ It’s an important religious place for Hindus and also a popular sightseeing location. People visit for prayers, photography, and the amazing cave view.
Sujatha I — Google review
A very beautiful and airy place on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur city. The base of these caves is a famous Hindu temple with a historical significance. There’re coffee shops and food joints for visitors to savour before and after visiting the place. There’re two temples on both sides of the compound and more than 100 colourful stairs to the cave entrance. The caves are very old but maintained nicely. There’re small temples in the caves as well. Ample parking space for the place and a very relaxing yet enjoyable scenery from the place. The brass golden statue of the lord is the biggest attraction point of this spot.
Sagar K — Google review
Unfortunately the Murugan statue is under restoration work and wrapped up in scaffolding, but still the vibe at this beautiful temple complex around and inside if the impressive Batu cave is worth the visit. Goosebump feeling when slowly ascending on the steep stairs, feeling like back in India. Fantastic. Breathtaking when entering the cave at first and stunned by this huge dimensions.
Marcel C — Google review
Visited Batu Caves during my trip to Malaysia, and it was an absolutely fascinating experience that beautifully blends nature, culture, and spirituality. The iconic golden statue of Lord Murugan standing tall at the entrance is truly awe-inspiring and sets the tone for the entire visit. The steep flight of colorful steps leading up to the main cave temple is both challenging and rewarding, offering breathtaking views of the surroundings as you climb. Each step feels like a journey through devotion and history. Inside the main cave, the vast limestone formations combined with the serenity of the temple create a sacred and peaceful atmosphere. The area is well-maintained with proper amenities, and even though there are monkeys around, the management ensures cleanliness and visitor safety. The nearby smaller caves and art galleries further add depth to the cultural experience, showcasing the roots of Hindu traditions in Malaysia. The staff and devotees are kind and respectful, always willing to guide visitors. It’s easily accessible by train or taxi from Kuala Lumpur, making it a must-visit for anyone exploring the city. Batu Caves is not just a tourist attraction—it’s a spiritual landmark that leaves you with a sense of calm, admiration, and deep cultural appreciation.
Niskarsha S — Google review
Beautiful by day, but extremely hot especially when you have to walk up the several million steps. Gorgeous by night, especially when the crowds have died down after 8pm, the temples start wrapping up and shut at 9, but the area stays open to take pictures till 10pm. Word of warning though, Grab cars can only be booked to the Exit 3 (in the back?), but that exit closes then the temples do, so it's better to head out of the main exit before booking yourself a Grab out - the signage does a terrible job of communicating this.
Ivy S — Google review
Batu Caves is undoubtedly one of Malaysia’s most iconic cultural and religious landmarks, and our visit to this impressive site was both fascinating and insightful. Located just outside Kuala Lumpur, the attraction is easily accessible and offers a blend of spirituality, history, nature, and adventure. Although our experience was overall positive, there were a few aspects—particularly the maintenance work on the Lord Murugan statue—that slightly affected the visit. Upon arriving, the sheer size and beauty of the Batu Caves complex immediately stood out. The long flight of 272 colorful steps leading to the main Temple Cave is a defining feature and provides a vibrant welcome. The steps themselves are beautifully painted and make for an eye-catching view, especially when combined with the energetic presence of monkeys and the constant movement of visitors. Climbing them was a mix of fun and challenge, but definitely manageable with short breaks and hydration.
Namrata S — Google review
Entry is free. Before you enter itself, You see Lord Kartikeya standing tall and One has to climb 272 steps to reach the top where the Sanctum sanctorum of the God is there. The first level upstairs has set of small temples and we can get offerings to provide. Then there is one more level. Even though it can get hot downstairs, It feels cool once you enter upstairs inside the cave. Beautiful and amazing temple. Monkeys are a menace. Don't keep anything in hand while climbing up esp food. Must visit if you are in KL.
Priyadharshini V — Google review
Clean, spacious and colorful; with newly built souvenir shops and spacious parking lot inside...surprisingly the parking fee for car is very cheap, just rm3 per entry. And theres no entrance fee for individual. But u need to wear proper clothing, otherwise need to wear covered skirt for a fee.. Recommended to bring small fan, drinks, and hat. Its streinuous trek up the stair, but then theres cute monkeys to look at and u will be greeted with cool breeze and big cave when reaching the top. Definitely one of the recommended activity to do

Sunset & sunrise viewing is popular on this grassy hill with panoramic valley views.
A more challenging hiking trail that attracts adventure seekers and nature lovers alike. Certain sections require strength and skill, making it an exciting trek for those looking for a bit of a challenge. Despite this, it remains a popular spot for young hikers. Nearby, a lively town offers a variety of delicious local food, drawing bikers and cyclists who stop by for a break. With fresh air and breathtaking mountain views at the top, this trail is a fantastic choice for an active day out with family and friends.

Wear full length covering, the shrubbery here is no joke. The new path is steep but safe, great hike to see the sunrise and feel the morning breeze flowing into the scenic Briga/Semenyih valley. Grab a refreshing coconut ice shake and a satisfying bowl of noodles right after your descent! (Thank me later ;)

🥾 The first peak of Broga Hill stands at approximately 400 meters (1,312 feet) above sea level and is the most popular photo spot, offering stunning panoramic views of lush greenery and misty morning skies — especially during sunrise. 🌾 Unlike most forested hills in Malaysia, the summit is uniquely covered in lalang grass (tall cogon grass) instead of dense trees, giving it a distinctive open and scenic look that draws hikers and Instagrammers alike

Nice place and short drive from KL. A good weekend outing to get refresh yourself. I went on 25/12/2020 and in the entrance they placed a notice saying entry ie closed from June 2020 yet lot of people going in. So we followed them and roads a bit rusty as it closed for months. But had a nice experience. Go to hill foot by 5 to 5:30 AM and trek takes give Or take 60 mins so that you can have nice and fresh air and sun rise. There are multiple ways lead to hill top and if you are trek enthusiast then there is a path where you need to a moderate climb(assisting ropes are available) Things to carry, torch/head light. Water(mostly they sell if hill is open for visitors but for us No as such as its closed for CMCO), and limited car parking. I heard that Usually they charge RM 1 + RM 1 but today we were charged us RM 10/pax by saying CMCO & SOP practicing. So prepare for that extra payment if you are planning in CMO time. And its definitely not a family outing place so avoid kids, elderly, who has issues with heart or knees issues and who don't appreciate the beauty of Nature. Attached some photos to convince you that, must visit one before you get 40. 😉
R G — Google review
Broga hill located at semenyih. During rmco need to pay rm1 per person for parking, rm1 per person for entrance fee. Need to scan temperature and write down detail before hiking. Weekends more people will go hiking, but we are lucky because we hike during weekday, and less people on weekdays. Some part not easy to hike, need to use rope to climb, we only manage to go until 2nd peak, no more stamina to go 3rd peak, maybe during mco we rest too much, so a bit lack of breath and stamina when we go hiking. Bring sufficient water to dehydrated yourself.

Going up was alot easier than coming down. Good place to hike, not when it's raining tho. Some dogs are up on the second level but they're very tame and polite, perhaps bring along some food for them if anyone wants to hike up there's.

Farms
Nestled in the mesmerizing hill town of Genting Highlands, Genting Strawberry Leisure Farms offers a vibrant and colorful experience for visitors. The farm allows guests to handpick their own strawberries or purchase pre-packed ones, surrounded by picturesque strawberry-themed decor that provides plenty of photo opportunities. In addition to strawberries, the farm features lavender fields, a mushroom farm, a bee farm, and various other fruits and vegetables.
For the entrance fee RM20 adult and RM15 kids, I think this place is worth visiting. For those from KL, it is nearer to come here than heading to Cameron Highlands. Free parking on the roadside. With shopping stalls and eateries overall this place is enjoyable, and they have decent toilets. Especially those who love flowers. Come early when the temperature is not hot. Felt the heat when noon heat strikes. Picking strawberries was sure fun. If they were to offer selling plants like strawberry or grape, I sure will be interested. Like the fact they don't pressure you to buy stuff or take photos.

Entrance fee RM20 per adult. Worth the visit for ppl who love nature and plants. Well maintain nursery and fresh strawberries pick at RM8 per 100g. Staff were very friendly too.
Ammimajus A — Google review
The entrance fee for me is quite expensive. rm 20 for adults. kinda not worth it for me because there aren't many fun activities to do here. Can only see the flower field. When going to a strawberry farm, there are not many red and large strawberries. but you can still pick it at the price of rm8/gram. There is also a small cafe to enjoy drinks and snacks, a honey shop and a gift shop. There is a service for photographers to take pictures as memories in front of the flower field. To me this is just a normal strawberry and flower field and doesn't really appeal to me. In addition, staff and workers need to be trained to be more friendly especially at the counter selling souvenirs or Cameron tea.
Rsya R — Google review
Ticket price is slightly expensive to me, RM20 for adult and 15 for kids, and this is only for seeing the flowers. If you want anything extra like picking strawberry need to pay separately. A family of 4 will cost 70 just like that. The farm is big and Flower wise there are a few varieties and only that few varieties in the whole farm. The varieties keep repeating in different part of the farm. If you decided to pluck strawberry, the price today was 80/kg. They sold packed strawberry too but I’m not sure if they are from their own farm or not. They also sell honey, lavender made stuff like lotion, perfume, air freshener etc. there’s a cafe and many other stalls along the way near the end of the exit. All in all, not a bad place and if the price could be cheaper it will be better.
Kelly C — Google review
Its a beautiful place if you love the flora and fauna because all you see here is flowers, plants and strawberry farms. The best part is picking your own fresh strawberries which you can purchase. The entrance ticket for this park is a bit expensive according to me, but the experience is good, specially if you are interested in taking pictures. There are also 2 photo booths, where they take family pictures as well as pictures with chinese or local costumes. Some small shops selling coffee, perfume, honey, strawberries and food stall is available.
Sukanya S — Google review
We spent a lovely day in this beautiful place surrounded by blooming flowers and fresh strawberries. The entrance fee is RM15 per person. The best part is we get to pick the strawberries by ourselves for RM8 per 100g. If you get a bit thirsty or even hungry from strolling around, you can stop by their cafe. Their food and beverages have decent taste and price as well. The only downside is that most strawberries we picked have worms inside. It was a lot of waste because we ended up throwing half of them.
Danah P — Google review
A must stop if you go to Genting Highland. Reasonable entrance fee. Enjoy the experience of picking your own strawberries. The strawberries are quite small although they are red and taste a bit sour. There are also grapes imported from the USA and other countries for sale. So many places for OOTD and takes pictures. Come early when it opens to avoid crowds. Highly recommended to come.

Genting Strawberry Leisure Farms at GohTong Jaya. The flower farm is very beautiful and colourful, ideal for those who enjoy taking photos. Located in the picturesque Genting Highlands at an elevation of 4,600 feet, Chin Swee Caves Temple is a sprawling Buddhist complex spread across 28 acres. The temple houses a striking black statue of Reverend Master Chin Swee, known for his reputed supernatural abilities. Visitors from various countries flock to this site to pay their respects. This awe-inspiring temple was completed in 1994 and features a nine-storey pagoda and a monumental lotus-seated Buddha.
Chin Swee Temple in Genting Highlands is one of the most breathtaking attractions in Malaysia, combining spiritual charm with spectacular natural surroundings. Perched high on the mountain, the temple offers panoramic views that are simply unforgettable. When we visited, the misty and foggy mountain air created a mystical atmosphere, making the experience feel almost otherworldly. The temple complex is beautifully designed, blending traditional Chinese architecture with modern construction that ensures comfort and accessibility for visitors. One of the highlights is reaching the temple via the Genting Skyway cable car. The ride itself is an adventure, gliding above lush forests and steep valleys before arriving at the temple grounds. The aerial views were stunning and set the tone perfectly for the visit. Stepping off the cable car, we were greeted with serene courtyards, intricate statues, and peaceful prayer halls that invite both reflection and admiration. A must-visit gem in Genting Highlands! Chin Swee Caves Temple is one of the most peaceful and scenic spots in the highlands. The temple sits high up the mountain, surrounded by mist and lush greenery, giving it a calm and spiritual atmosphere. The traditional Chinese architecture, colorful pagoda, and intricate statues are absolutely beautiful — perfect for photos and reflection. Entry is free, and you can easily reach the temple via the Awana SkyWay cable car, which stops right at the temple level. There’s a small café and a few stalls nearby, but the main attraction is the view — especially when the clouds clear and you can see the valleys below. Do wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket, as it can get quite chilly and there are several stairs to climb. It’s a wonderful place for both tourists and those seeking a quiet moment of peace. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Genting!

Must visit. Very Cool temple with an authentic vibe. On the way to genting highlands. Some guides may discourage telling that the return cable cars may be full. But it is possible to get seats. We had to wait only 5-10 mins to get a cable car with enough seating on the return trip. Try to visit in evening so that you get the cool breeze. Lots of cool pathways to explore on the mountain side, as part of the journey to enlightemnment walkway. Highly photogenic areas. Breathtaking views.

The temple itself is well-maintained, always clean, and you can see that regular repairs and care are done to preserve its beauty and spiritual atmosphere. Whether you're coming for the cultural experience, the scenery, or just to take a peaceful walk, this place is definitely worth visiting. Without a doubt, if I return to Malaysia again as a tourist, this will be one of the top places on my list to visit. It's not just a hike; it's an adventure that offers nature enthusiasts a chance to encounter unique tropical flora and fauna along the way.
Greattttttttt trail. Recommended for active person only. hike will take about 4hours up , 1-2hour rest at the peak, and 3 hours descend. Please bring along your portable stove to cook at the peak as you will have more than enough time to cook and even sleep at the top!!!! Regret that I dont take the picture at the border of Selangor. I believe you already see the videos and pics of the waterfall. yes, you can take a bath over there to cool yourself down!! Enjoy your hike. As always, please bring down any trash that you see. I went to the hike somewhere in 2024. costing about Rm60. Repeat? Why not?!

Challenging hike but very rewarding. The trail can be muddy, so go prepared. The views and cool air at the top make it all worth it.

Great trail...hard but doable hahahaa..with my speed need 1 full day to complete.. The best part was soaking in the river+ waterfall.. Will I go again? Maybe..maybe not 😫

Lovely trail from Janda baik, clear and somehow easy for regular hiker. Took around 3 hours to reach the top, enjoy the interactive with those cute little squirrels at the peak and chill at the Chemperoh Waterfall with buddies.

Japanese Village

Nestled on a hill in Bentong, Pahang, the Japanese Village is a collection of Japan-themed attractions that offers a serene and authentic experience. The village features a Japanese Tea House where visitors can partake in traditional tea ceremonies and a Tatami Spa for relaxation. Additionally, guests can explore the Botanical Garden and rent kimonos for an immersive experience. For those seeking culinary delights, the Japanese Restaurant serves authentic Japanese cuisine.
Visited the Japanese Garden at Bukit Tinggi on a weekday, and it turned out to be the perfect escape! The weather was beautiful with a light breeze and just the right amount of sunshine. It took us about an hour to get there from Kuala Lumpur by cab (booked via the InDrive app, which cost us RM 70). The entrance fee to Bukit Tinggi was RM 14 per person. The area is well-signposted, so it’s easy to explore on your own. After a short climb up a few steps, we arrived at the serene Japanese Village. It was truly breathtaking—the sound of nature, butterflies fluttering around, colorful flowers, and lush greenery all around. The gentle sound of water flowing from the ponds added a calming, almost meditative touch. I genuinely couldn’t get enough of the atmosphere. There’s a spot where you can rent traditional Japanese robes and take pictures, which adds to the experience. The whole place was very well maintained—clean, neat, and peaceful. We wrapped up our visit with a quick stop at the little souvenir shop, which also sells bottled water and a few drinks. After that, we caught the free shuttle bus to the nearby French Village. Just a note—the bus isn’t very frequent, so keep an eye on the schedule. All in all, a memorable visit and one I’d happily do again!

Don’t know la this place is Japanese village or Japanese garden, majority of the facilities/buildings are abandoned. Basically only the plants + 1 small souvenir shop at entrance + 1 building they renting kimono are operating, all other things were abandoned or closed. Looking at the crowded, there are quite many people, this volume of crowded should be able to sustain the service but just don’t know why it’s getting abandoned.
Siauhwa T — Google review
Not worth the visit. Don't come here. Go to Genting Highlands or anywhere else. You have to pay RM14 and RM7 respectively to enter the area. Once more, not worth it if you drive there. I don't know the situation for those who live in the hotel. But for everyone else, to enter the area costs RM14 for an adult, paying through card only. There is no indication that I needed to pay in google maps. The Japanese village is more of a collection of run-down buildings. While it does look pretty initially, the moment you look closer and pay attention you quickly realize that the park is very small and quite run down. You can lap it within less than 10 minutes. The fake Koi stream is filled with Malaysian Koi. Many of the flowers are Malaysian flowers. The buildings are mostly closed such as the Spa, which if you look from the outside it already show signs of ageing that tells me it has been closed for some time. The Yukata rental place is the only place that's open, but the place is so small that you can't really enjoy it because other tourists clog the place up. After finishing my rounds I decided to eat at the "Ryo Zan Tei" restaurant. Guess what? There is no restaurant! Why do you put a sign if none of these amenities are there? But guess what? There's an open souvenir shop, because if anything needs to be open, of course it had to be the souvenir shop. I had a brief encounter with a Dusky Leaf Monkey. This was the only fun part of my visit to this place. In conclusion, don't come visit this place. It's small, with many closed amenities not disclosed earlier. There's a fee to be paid that's not easily looked up. Maybe you'll end up seeing monkeys if you're lucky.
Ryan A — Google review
It's a very pretty garden, although could be maintained better by Japanese standards at least. Disappointingly the tea garden doesn't serve tea, just gaudy souvenirs and rented kimonos. The spa was also closed, relegating this to an Instagram location, or a pleasant afternoon stroll. Don't forget that Berjaya resort now charges rm14 per adult and rm7 for kids between 4-12. For me, it was just about worth it.
Chak O — Google review
I went here when it was first opened 20 years ago and went again today. Not so many flowers like in the past. I went here 4 times and still love it but I hope the management will do something to make it more lively again. I think the hot weather affect the garden and the moss look dried. The weather is perfect and we tried the kimono and have so much fun taking pictures. We really feel back to nature as we can hear all the sound of birds and gibbons around us
Traveler F — Google review
It was a beautiful experience and renting a kimono 👘 was also amazing. I haven’t had to book a ticket and there was no line. You can keep the kimono for 30 min. I paid MYR 35 for the kimono plus umbrella. It was worth it for me. ☺️

Great place to check out in the mornings (shuttle from Colmar to Jap Village) before the weather gets home. A little hike is required, and along the way, one can catch the sounds of nature; birds?

Wahhhh what a wonderful scenary up there. Nice experiance in basic japanese village. U may rent kimono n the eccesories, got restaurant but not sure halal or not, spa also available, sorviner shop. But not for elderly or those who suffer legs-related issues. Need to climb stairs, once u reach the last steps of the stairs that is just the beginning hahhahaa

Expansive nature preserve features lush woods, scenic hiking trails & a waterfall.
A nice and cool spot to laze around or take a swim on a hot day. Many moons ago have walked all the way from Smokehouse to the fall, but as age caught up it would not be possible without driving there. Considering that it is not so well frequented it is very well maintained as there were workers cutting grasses and sweeping the leaves along the trail. The huts looks new with a fresh coat of paint. Keep it up please!
Bill T — Google review
Follow a very winding road for several km down from Fraser's Hill, and you'll find a rocky stream running through a maintained area and after maybe 1km walk a pleasant waterfall cascading into a shady pool. There are artificial retaining walls to manage waterflow that slightly detract from the natural ambience. I gather the various small buildings fell into disrepair during covid, and it looked like the local community are renovating, so, again, it's not a wilderness experience. I was looking for butterflies out of season, and I saw some very good species; Malayan Owl, Autumn Leaf, Jewelled Nawab, Constable and plenty more....
Simon F — Google review
After it was closed in 2019 and refurbished, it open again this year (2025). Look more neat and with more facilities this time. Loved the waterfall. But there are so many steep steps near the waterfall. Note: can go camping there and there are people who will supervise the place at night.
Traveler F — Google review
Amazing place! The waterfall stream is strong and refreshing, with natural pools deep enough for swimming and even a quick dive. It’s just a 10-minute walk from the entrance. Please bring a bag to collect your rubbish and help keep the area clean. Avoid going during bad weather, as the water level can rise quickly.
Hao Y — Google review
Entrance ticket is needed to visit here. If you wish to camp, you will need to pay for it too. The waterfall is very fast but not very amazing. The volume of water is quite small. The way to the waterfall is pathed with wooden path with anti slip wax on it. This prevents you from falling. To reach the waterfall, it takes around 5 minutes walk from the entrance. There are many camping sites along the route.
Lee A — Google review
A must go whenever we stay here at Fraser’s Hill. Just prepare some food and spend 1/2 day in this waterfall. One thing this is a safe and well covered falls for adults and kids. Highly recommended ☝🏻
JS N — Google review
The road to get here is so spooky. Definitely worth the visit because the environment is so relaxing. Perfect for those who love nature (obviously). Need to pay RM2 for entrance.
QiGenius G — Google review
The waterfall itself is very beautiful and set in a peaceful atmosphere. However, the path leading to it is in need of repair and isn't wheelchair friendly. The bathrooms in the waterfall area were very dirty and completely unusable. The entrance ticket costs RM2 per person, and camping sites are available for rent at varying prices.

Hiking Trails
Pine Tree Trail - Entrance is a historic and challenging 5.5-kilometer trek leading to the renowned Twin Peaks viewpoint on Frasers Hill. Built during the British era, this trail offers spectacular views of Bukit Fraser and requires a guide and permit due to its moderate difficulty level. The hike takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes one way, with some steep sections near the summit that resemble rope climbing.
Pine Tree & Twin Peak hike - Mentalling demanding and challenging trail, as it's not a straightforward hike. First 1km was a flat trail, then a steep stairs downhill, then hike up and down again. Gloves are recommended. The forests are filled with moss and wild orchids.
Yee N — Google review
A popular but hardcore trail for hiking enthusiast. This trail requires a hiking permit and guides, so some preplanning in required. Amateurs or beginners can check out the many other easier trails in the area
Cee C — Google review
They put up brand new signs saying you need a permit to enter, which takes like a week to get and is not mentioned online anywhere. Therefore i wasn't able to walk the trail during my stay. Sad to see Malaysia locking its nature behind dumb stuff like this. I doubt anyone actually checks people on the trails for permits, but i wasn't gonna force my group to enter and risk it. Sad, it's probably a nice trail :'(

really nice trail … had a hard time to figure out how to get up as the police sent us to a closed tourism centre … after some talking at the Police station we where allowed to get up …. took 2 and a half hours to get to the PTP and another 20 minutes for the Twin Peak … the way back was hell tho as we didnt manage our time correctly and started at 2pm and forgot to bring lights for the night … meaning we reached the Twin Peak at nearly 5pm and turned back after we enjoyed the view for a few minutes … can recommend the trail for all who enjoy nature and love hiking …. would recommend to experience the Maxwell (leech) trail before tho as the Maxwell Trail really tests your Limit …. also no leeches on the Pine Tree Trail

Come all the way from Puchong but cannot enter. So disappointed. What's wrong to permit the entrance. I just wanted to come for a casual walk😔.

I would say this was quite challenging trail to hike but fun to enjoy nature. Me and my friend able to finish the whole trail from pine tree to twin peak. The staircases when near exit were no kidding as they require resilient and will power... hahaha.. (counted has around 57 staircases). Recommend hikers to try and enjoy the whole journey.
Quah S — Google review
It’s not too hard, not easy either hike especially near submit where it was a steep hike up and a bit like rope climbing that required physical strength from hands and legs. Overall it’s a fairly well maintained walking path and trails but there’s a few spot where the trail has eroded, and fallen trees are seen in some spots. Be well hydrated. It was in June where weather was pretty good, no rainfall, we took us a 6-hour round trip.
Lee K — Google review
Go hike to feel the excellent weather. This hike would be very special with low temperatures, the place offers. I was hiking one of the group from KL. reached here by 8 AM and followed the trail to pine tree peak and then proceeded to Twin peak. After twin peak , plan was to do Hulu Sampan but the time didn’t allow us so finished by reaching Jerau Waterfalls. Finally we had wonderful hike for the day covering some 14KM and 9 hours in Jungle.

Recommended budget trip for family with kids. There's many villa with 3 rooms can comfortably stay for a big family or group. The Safari & Water Park ticket is RM88 for adult and cheaper for kids. Best to stay night to enjoy the activities. The only issue is the selection of dinning place is really limited, it's far away from the big town Kuantan up to an hour of driving.

We had a conference in the resort. The service maintenance staff were responsive and able to resolve the the problems on a timely manner. The restaurant F&B staff were friendly and provided good service. The food was fresh and tasty. However could have been better if the maintenance of the place was better as the corridors leading to the rooms looked run down and a bit messy. Also the towels provided smelt musty and one of the arm chair in the bed room needed repairs.

This review is only about the Safari Park part of the resort; we haven't been to the rest of it. Basically this place is one of the biggest I've ever seen, but many parts of it are still not completed. The management might have some funding issues and are not doing enough marketing of the place. Maybe because it's located really far from major population centers, so it's really a hassle to get there. However the place is worth a visit if you're nearby. It just feels a bit dead with barely no visitors but us, and the animals! Despite that, they stick doing all the shows on time, which are quite elaborate. Just make sure you drink lots of water and are fit to walk around up and down as this place is huge. In addition to promotion, the place needs more cooling, like fans and sprinklers for the visitors.

This is a resort that has a huge waterpark, a safari with many wild animals and many shows and scheduled activities for children and adults alike. This would make a memorable holiday destination for families vacationing on their own as well as in groups. It has two main sections, Arabian and Carribean but except for different names and some minor differences in room style both are the same. For accommodation also available are independent bungalows with 3, 4 & 5 rooms. Breakfast buffets are included in room charges. The buffet has hot and cold items and is sufficient variety. There are themed restaurants and cafés. Rooms are basic with not many features or facilities so get your own things. Staff is helpful but takes time for everything.

One way to improve Gambang Water Park could be to invest in new and exciting water rides and attractions. This park could offer more amenities such as lounge chairs, and umbrellas for guests. Another way to improve the park could be to offer more food and beverage options, including healthier options, and have more seating areas for guests to enjoy their meals. Finally, the park could also improve customer service by providing more staff members to assist guests and ensure their safety. The high price of amenities at Gambang Water Resort Pahang is a major drawback for many visitors. The resort charges exorbitant rates for basic amenities such as cabanas, tubes, and even water bottles, which can add up quickly and eat into the budget of a family or group. Additionally, the resort's food and drink prices are also significantly higher making it a less attractive option for budget-conscious travelers. Overall, the high cost of amenities at Gambang Water Resort Pahang is a major downside that may deter many potential visitors from choosing to visit there.

It was hell fun ya. Enjoyed alot. The amazing waterpark activities, the Coco beach, specially slides were much amusement. One can get relaxation and liveliness there after a tiring routien. The crystal slides were scary but too much fun. The family tub slides we did like more than 4 times it was love. The kids pool is much more amusement. Coco beach was also awsome. Overall is just awsome place for fun and entertainment. Very reasonable price and food available. Easy Transport to get to the waterpark from kuantan. Car parking is available.

Waterpark definitely need to be revamp. Place is not properly maintain. Lazy river is super dirty. I even saw a snail & frog inside...lucky i was on the tube. Lembing Rainbow Waterfall

Nature & Parks
Waterfalls
1.2km distance to climb to waterfall need spend almost 45mins. Need across a river. U won't regret after your hard work! The tour guide told the best month to visit is during November to February. ( rain season) . I went on rain season end of May, still can see rainbow waterfall. If you go on the tour guide date, you may capture the rainbow surrounding you in photo. Rent a shoes there RM5.00, tour included guide per head RM80. ( I brought early at KL, RM10 a pair) No worries, it's worth! From 5-5:30am tour guide will fetch you from home stay to having breakfast, 6:30am go watch sunrise and long distance to rainbow waterfall! The 4X4 will ride you crazy and explore new adventures toward to rainbow waterfall area. ( cause we only 2 persons , it fell crazy shaky.) You will have an hour stay at waterfall area to wait the rainbow appear during sunrise. And the splashing of waterfall can relax and heal your soul! Perhaps, if you dislike crowded, just go on weekday. But you will miss the roast pork and few restaurants operated during weekend. The food court there provided famous mee Lembing with cheap price and kampung style taste! After 12 noon, not much lunch restaurants open during weekday. ( restaurant operation hour info from google are not updated, you have to explore by your own) By the end, I surrender the tour guide that bring me and family went in to forest- waterfall area. He only wear a Pallas slipper! LOL! ** I am not a jungle tracking person, my muscle fatigue 3 days after it. But I still love the journal and watch the amazing scene created by natural! ** There have famous coconut biscuits, tou fu fa, .. across the bridge, or you may drive there too.

We were ready to explore the famous Rainbow Waterfall right after we reached the Sunrise Hill. Everybody was already used to the rough riding of the 4x4 vehicles, and even the small kids were enjoying the rides. We reached the final port where all the 4x4 vehicles had to be stationed, and everything had to be on foot from there onwards. There was a toilet for both men and women at the pitstop, so it was a good time to ease yourself before the ascend. We also had our breakfast of Nasi Goreng here, and that was supposed to fuel up our energy for the tough climb. We had to start by crossing a small stream, and the water was not deep, but the current was quite strong. Fortunately, there was a tight rope across the stream for us to hold on to, and that had helped us a lot. From then, it was another 1.2 km of rough trails and rocks to overcome, which took us about an hour to complete. Again, the ropes were there at the tough and challenging places, which most of us utilized to our advantages. Without the ropes, the whole climb would have set us back another 30 minutes, easily. Upon reaching the final destination of our ascend, we were met with a huge vertical rockface, with trickles of water coming down from it. As time went on, the volumes of water became more apparent, and the body of water underneath became deeper. The water in the natural pool was so cooling and refreshing, so obviously after the sweating uphill excercise I immediately jumped in. The korean students couldnt help themselves either, hence the screams of excitements colud be heard throughout the waterfall... The sun had to be positioned at a certain height and location for the sunrays to reflect the rainbow image across the wide rockface. But we were not so lucky this time, as the volume of water and the positioning of the sun were not exactly in our favors. Yet, it was still plenty of fun for our group, as this was basically the first time for everyone... After we had enough fun and frolicks at the waterfall, it was time to leave. We were careful to bring back all our own rubbishs and trashes, to ensure this precious natural attraction was not littered indescriminately. Descending down the hill appeared to be more difficult actually, as the tracks had became wet and slippery. Hence, we had to be more careful and cautious, as it took us longer to reach the pitstop at the bottom of the hill. After that, we had another round of thrilling rides on the 4x4 vehicles, until we reached another small stream where we had our lunch while sitting at the sides of the stream. Finally, we were ready to bid farewell to the historic Sungai Lembing town, carrying with us all those beautiful memories created from this extraordinary experience...

We booked the tour with the host from Sky Rock Villa. Simple and easy for the reservation. Just pay upon check-in. The next day morning, the truck came to pick-up us at 5am. Stop at the town for breakfast. Then follow by the sunrise. It was a bit cloudy so not so stunning. Follow by 45mims journey, we have reached a river and there is a toilet and you can rent the rubber shoes there. They do drinking water too. Crossed the river then follow by the hiking trail in the forest. Then you will reach the rainbow water fall after 45mins. The last part is the most danger. Some part has no string to hold u up or down. It is very slippery. You will see the rainbow when the sun is out. The driver will prepare cup noodle and hot drink while you enjoying to take photo. You can swim there too: Overall it is quite satisfied. it will be better to brief clearly 1 day before the tour. Let us prepare in advance.

The waterfall is amazing, and there is a change to see a rainbow formed on the waterfall, when the weather is good. The water is cool and the air is refreshing and soothing. Way to the waterfall is a hiking trail, it takes about half an hour to reach the waterfall from the starting point for amateur hiker. The last part of the trail is quite challenging as it is a way that needs to walk through stones in the water stream and the stone is quite slippery. Nevertheless, there are ropes all along the way for you to grab and assist you in your hiking. Besides that, a pair of good shoes is recommended to walk through the trail. Lembing’s Rainbow Waterfall isn’t the kind of place you just stumble upon—it’s the kind of spot you earn. The day usually starts before sunrise, when you climb into a 4WD and rumble your way through Sungai Lembing’s old tin mining tracks. The ride itself feels like an off-road theme park—bumpy, splashing through shallow rivers, winding through thick rainforest. By the time you reach the trailhead, you’re already feeling like an explorer. The trek to the waterfall is short, but it’s got just enough challenge to make you break a sweat—muddy patches, uneven paths, and that earthy jungle scent hanging in the air. And then… you hear it before you see it. The rush of water gets louder, the air turns cooler, and suddenly, there it is—Rainbow Waterfall in all its glory. But here’s the thing—the real show starts when the sun peeks over the cliffs. As the light hits the spray from the falls, a rainbow appears right in front of you, like nature’s own VIP performance. It’s pure magic. You’re standing there with cold mist on your face, the sound of the water roaring in your ears, and this surreal arc of colors dancing just meters away. The pool at the base? Absolutely freezing—but in the best way. Some people just dip their feet, others go all in for that “I survived the icy waterfall” bragging rights. The moment is so fresh and untouched, you almost don’t want to leave… except maybe for the thought of a hot bowl of noodles back in town. Rainbow Waterfall isn’t just a “place to visit”—it’s an adventure, a memory, and a little reminder of how beautiful Malaysia’s wild side can be when you wake up early enough to chase it.

Amazing natural scenery, one hour 4x4 drive journey to reach the river bank, mountain hiking 1.2km to reach waterfall vantage point. Bring waterproof cover for your phone shooting.

Rainbow Waterfall Visit without a guide? Not Possible. The trail involves river crossings and jungle paths, so a local guide or 4WD operator is essential to visit Rainbow Waterfall. Must Visit Place in Malaysia. Hidden Gem!
Rifa M — Google review
Went to Sungai Lembing rainbow waterfall on 10/7/2022 Sunday which is the first day of Hari Haji. The place was packed with big crowds. We paid RM60 each to a tour agent one day before the hiking via homestay owner to get us the permit to enter the sungai lembing rainbow waterfall. After the early sunrise tour, we immediately get into Toyota Hilux car to go to the base of the rainbow waterfall. It took an hour on the Hilux to get to the base on a super duper lumpy bumpy bad road condition with necessity to cross few rivers. We sat at the back of the Hilux. One Hilux car can sit 3ppls at the front, and 12 ppls at the back. After reaching the base, there are plenty of space for parking and everyone is queuing to go to the loo prior to hiking towards the Rainbow waterfall which will take an hour that cover 1km journey. For those who didn't bring their hiking shoes or anti-slippery shoes, you can rent it from the Orang Asli with only RM3 and you can even rent a hiking stick for RM0.50. Remember to return it to them as this is the source of income for them. The hiking is considered moderate to difficult and took some stamina as you are required to climb on big rocks and graping on the ropes to support your balance. I brought both my parents aged 70++, only my mother was able to go to the top and see the magnificient waterfall. Many elderly and young aunties that have knees problems couldn't reach to the top chose to sit at a flat ground approximately 200m before the waterfall. Many waited there for their family or friends. Once we reached the top, we saw a very high waterfall running from the tall mountain. The driver of the tour agent prepared us some snack (Maggie Mee) and some drinks (coffee/tea/Milo). They took the mountain water to boil and cook for us. We enjoyed the scenery with the view. Unfortunately we couldn't see the rainbow as the sun was shy away and the sky was blanketed with lots of clouds. It was a cloudy day! The tour agent said usually rainbow will appear after sunlight shining on the rocks. Feeling sad as many of us hiked and climbed all the way to witness the paradise rainbow waterfall. However, the view is still breathtaking and I would definitely to come again! Don't keep the area clean so that more generations can witness the fantastic rainbow waterfall 🌈🌈🌈

Wow! Just experienced the most incredible and flawless sunrise with cotton cloud views. Seriously breathtaking! The trail is a good 40-minute climb up stairs (legs were burning!), so be ready for a bit of a challenge. Definitely recommend good hiking shoes, especially if you're heading up in the morning. Go get that view! #MustSeeView #SunriseLover #HikingMalaysia #GetOutside #Sungailembing #bukitpanorama #kuantanhike #cottoncloud

Panorama Hill is a lovely spot to hike to in the wee morning, for sunrise and sea of cloud. One can start as early as 5+ for a sunrise hike, but we didn't as it was a cloudy day with unlikely sunrise to be witnessed. However, the sea of cloud was really something, smoldering the whole town in a thick cloud and calmness. The hike up takes about 40 minutes for an average hiker, it's not technically difficult but do bear in mind it's a long flight of stairs up hill. So it's highly advisable to wear proper shoes and a headlight would be really handy for the early morning hike. Parking by the roadside near the little rest area and toilet at the foot of the hill is available for free. After the hike, one could easily head down to the nearby marketplace for breakfast and coffee with the locals.

Beautiful panoramic view atop the hill of panorama overviewing Sg Lembing and its surroundings. Definitely worth the hike up, despite the 1 km hike up with stairs.
Nicholas T — Google review
Woke up early to climb the hill at 6.45am. I took about 30 minutes went up to hill because it was very step of stairs and at the same time when I went up half way I already saw the cloud. At the peak of hill we can see the sunrise. Amazing hill you can't miss in Sungai Lembing.

Just came down this morning. Spectacular and breathtaking view. Started hiking at 5.30am and already quite number of people hiking. Don't forget to bring torchlight, water and wear proper shoes and of course no entrance fee. If you can hike then no need to book tour.
Kayattiri A — Google review
Great effort climbing up 1,000+ steps in the early wee hours but rewarded with spectacular sights above the clouds. Started 5:45am from the trail-head and it took almost 30mins with several stops. Bring torch lights. Sunrise was disappointed as the horizon was covered clouds.
Kh W — Google review
Panorama Hill just 271 meter in height but you need to climb 1100 steps to reach panorama peak. If you don't want to miss the glorious sunrise moment then better start your journey as early as 5am. This is my first time experience sea of cloud (awan carpet). On top you also can see sg lembing town and Charas Cave.

Muzium Sultan Abu Bakar

Museum
Specialty Museums
My review is about the museum grounds, not the museum itself, as I did not enter. My parents are senior citizens, so they entered for free. The surrounding area is very well-kept, we are particularly impressed by the elephants made from tree branches. There were also other relics, not sure if those were from the Second World War. It would be nice to have some kind of explanation. Overall we enjoyed our time there. Excellent pit-stop on our journey to Kuantan.
Alshane — Google review
A short visit for the first time to Muzium Sultan Abu Bakar located in Pekan, Pahang. The entrance fee rate is not that expensive, only RM12 for adults, school uniformed students RM5, foreigner RM50 while for children below 12 and old people are for free only. This museum from outside and inside looks very beautiful, with aircond is provided at the inside building. There are many interesting displays from the very old time to the latest one which related to the history of Pahang. This museum can be a great option to visit while you come to Pekan, Pahang. The staffs are friendly and there is a cafe also at the inside of the museum. The only problem here are there are no signboard for the toilets and limited parking for cars not only to visit this museum, but other attractions near by also. Seems like people just park on the pavement at the side of the roads. Other than these issues, the rest seems good here.
Ahmad M — Google review
Ticket price for adults is RM12, reasonable. The museum is quite large. We spent more than 2 hours exploring. It offers a lot of knowledge about Pahang’s history, culture, and royal heritage. Exhibits are well presented and informative. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Pekan.
Anisnurbaitie A — Google review
This Muzium sultan Abu Bakar offers informative and air-conditioned experience, displaying royal artifacts and historical exhibits. The admission fee is affordable (RM12 for adults). For dining after your tour, be sure to visit Kafe Belibis next door for a unique experience eating inside a train carriage, or stop by Gerabak Kopi for excellent highly-rated specialty coffee.
Ummu A — Google review
From outside it is already looks majestic. This former palace is now a royal museum, with more galleries to be opened. The main building is dedicated to the royal collections while the gallery at the back houses Pahang's archaelogical treasures. Sculptors adorned every corner of the museum. It has a small cafe inside, possibly the first public museum in the country after Borneo Culture Museum to do so. My only concern would be the admission fee, which by comparison is a bit high.
Harith J — Google review
This museum have plenty of royal collection.clean and full of information.RM 12 for entrance fee and clear plastic provided as we not allowed to wear shoes inside the exibition/gallery area.got cafe inside.there is separated and connected building for different gallery theme.

Many ppl park illegaly beside the road. 2 Building nice white building. Nice to take photo. Kinda bristish -ish like. Seem so clean. the wall also nice place to take photo. 3 Field Open field. got some decoration which i dont really like. but the tanks, apc, horse, helicopter, etc is okay to have there. but wait, also got the cannon. 4. food there are a mini caravan selling drink, ice cream and desert. their packaging is nice. 5 Photographer view I think, it is a very nice place to come and shoot. i did ask this random girl who i shoot. she said here is a location where ppl always come for a group photo during the raya. welp. i will come again somewhere infuture bringing some other lenses to shoot. 6. museum i did not go in but they got some entrance fee. those with mykad and not, those who young age, wearing school uniform and etc.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Defective Product Purchased at Uniqlo Outlet, Kuantan Dear Uniqlo Management, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with a recent purchase I made at the Uniqlo outlet in Capital Mall, Kuantan, on October 31st. On that day, I bought a t-shirt priced at RM 51. After returning home and sending the t-shirt to the laundry, I discovered multiple defects on the garment, including noticeable areas of poor quality and damage. I was extremely disappointed to realize that I had purchased a product that was clearly defective, especially considering the price I paid. Given the inconvenience and the fact that I work far from Kuantan, I was unable to return the item or take immediate action. I would have preferred to address this directly with your store, but due to my busy schedule, I was unable to visit the outlet again. This experience has left me feeling frustrated and upset. As a loyal customer, I expect better quality control and customer service from a reputable brand like Uniqlo. I am now concerned that this purchase was a waste of my money, and I would like to know what steps Uniqlo will take to resolve this issue. Please advise me on how I can proceed with a return or refund, as I believe this product does not meet the standard that Uniqlo is known for. If necessary, I am prepared to escalate this matter further to consumer protection authorities. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution to this issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Muhammad Adam Balan

Teluk Cempedak is a serene beach destination that perfectly blends relaxation and adventure. With its tree-lined pathways ideal for leisurely strolls, this picturesque spot invites visitors to enjoy swimming in its clear waters. The area boasts an array of nearby restaurants and vendors, making it easy to indulge in local culinary delights after a day spent soaking up the sun.
We came around 6pm+. Paid for parking using TnG. There are McDonald's, KFC, and Starbucks by the beach. There was a boardwalk trail, but it is now closed due to safety reasons. Lots of monkeys there. Be wary of them, as one of the monkeys snatched away McDonald's ice-cream from my Mum. Other than the monkeys, this is a very nice beach, picturesque and reasonably clean.

Beautiful beach with a nice view. many people were enjoying bubble toys and modern kites. The beach is clean and scenic. This photo was taken around 6 PM. Nearby, you’ll find McDonald’s, Starbucks, and KFC, making it a convenient spot for relaxing, family gatherings, and snapping some great photos.

A quiet beach with a peaceful vibe, but don’t expect too much. The area is still quite underdeveloped with minimal facilities. Some parts are clean, but there’s also visible litter in certain spots. Nice for a short stroll, sunset view or a picnic if you don’t mind the simplicity. Not really a swimming beach, more of a scenic chill spot. Could be a gem if properly maintained.

the beach was very well maintained. It was safe and clean to take a deep. But maybe I went on a random weekend, school and long holiday will be packed.

The inn is known for its peaceful ambiance and beautiful garden-style setting, with a front-facing pond adding to the tranquil atmosphere. Guests can enjoy clean and new rooms within a well-kept garden, providing a sense of calm and serenity. While the area may have mosquitoes due to its garden concept, the inn provides repellent for guests' comfort.
Lovely place and people. Not fancy or anything, just a nice, quiet, comfortable little house. We had a two bed, two bathroom. 5 mins walk to the beach, too. Very chilled. Little cafe, Ombak is in walking distance. The beach was very nice, too. Not the most beautiful, but the water was clean, and everyone was happy. Beach vibes. Careful of the monkeys, though

Tanjung Inn, Cherating – A Sweet Escape from the City If you’re looking for a quick escape from the city without needing a passport, Tanjung Inn in Cherating hits the spot. I stayed at Villa 2, priced at RM350/night it fits up to 4 people comfortably. The highlight? Open the door and boom 💥 you’re greeted by a circular pond right in front of the room. It’s so calming, especially in the late afternoon with a cup of coffee and some snacks. Pure serenity. There’s a dedicated pathway to the beach, so getting some sea therapy is easy. No swimming pool here but who needs one when the wide, open sea is right there? Plus, the sea breeze is chef’s kiss. Now, let’s talk about the room. It was decent and clean, but I do think the facilities could use a bit of a refresh maybe a small uplift to modernize things a bit. The air-cond... hmmm, let’s just say it worked, but needed some persuasion. 😅 Toilet? Surprisingly good! Clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated the clever outdoor-access route straight to the bathroom perfect for washing up after a beach session so you don’t drag all that sand into the room. Food at night? No worries plenty of eateries nearby. Price-wise, agak sama macam KL (ye la, inflation kan), but still manageable. What really stood out was the hospitality. The staff were friendly and helpful truly top-notch service. They were always available and willing to assist whenever we needed something. Would I come back? Definitely. It’s not about 5-star luxury, but about nature, peace, and that easy, breezy Cherating vibe.
Nur M — Google review
Firstly, upon arrival, we noticed that the room was far from clean. The air conditioning unit emitted a peculiar and unpleasant stench whenever it was turned on. Also, the design and overall ambiance of the room were unwelcoming and did not provide the cozy, relaxing environment we had anticipated. The toilet was in an unacceptable state, with pee stains and tissue scattered around. Despite requesting assistance to have the toilet sterilised, no support was provided. To make matters worse, I fell sick with a fever on the last day, which I suspect was due to the unhygienic conditions. Additionally, the blankets provided were too thin to offer any warmth, though thankfully, I had brought my own. There were also essential amenities missing in the room. There was no telecom, clock, hand soap or hairdryer available, which I believe are basic necessities for any decent accommodation. To add to our discomfort, we encountered two large cockroaches in the toilet area. This was extremely unsettling and unacceptable.

If you’re looking for a place to stay with all the amenities and facilities, this place is not for you. You should go to Royale Chulan instead. But if you want a place to chill, like a pitstop before you continue your journey, stay here. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Tanjung Inn. It was so cosy and beautiful. Sure, a lot can be improved but we loved it. It was so chill. Lots of trees, plants and flowers. We stayed here for 1 night before we head back to KL. - The chalet is walkable to nearby cafes. Around 10mins. - Staffs are accomodating and friendly. - No WIFI in the chalet, only at the reception area and library. But need to ask for keys to access. - You have to carry your own bags to your chalet - Water pressure is good with water heater - Bed is comfy, but aircond need time to cool the room. - Got iron but need to return back - No toiletries given, only towels. But we didnt mind We would come back just to chill

The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the outdoor area is very beautiful but I must give the room a poor rating because it wasn’t very clean. The worse part is we noticed on our last day (unfortunately) that the wooden bed frame had insect eggs on the sides. They offered us another room but it smelled like cigarettes and the wooden tables also nestled eggs. Overall the rooms must be better maintained and a call to pest control should be prioritized.

Visitors have praised the clear night skies, bright stars, and beautiful moon during their tours. Hafiz's special method for attracting fireflies has been highlighted as a unique and memorable experience.
Wow...was an amazing experience! The staff Mustafa and the team were so professional. Respond quickly to questions on their WhatsApp service. The tour was the best. Informative, night boat ride epic with the water algae glowing in the wake of the boat, pitch dark and getting to see a bountiful amount of fireflies. Highly, highly recommend this company 💕

The night was calm, the air carrying whispers of nature’s secrets. As we embarked on the firefly-watching tour, the hospitality and warmth of the team welcomed us like old friends. The tour lead, with their vast knowledge and passion, transformed the journey into more than just an excursion—it was a masterclass in the delicate balance of ecosystems. Gently gliding through the mangroves, the world came alive with an otherworldly glow. The fireflies danced in harmonious rhythm, as though each tiny light held a story to tell. It was mesmerizing, a spectacle of nature’s artistry that left us in awe. Every detail, from the thoughtful service to the intricate tales shared, made this experience unforgettable. It wasn’t just about watching fireflies—it was about connection, wonder, and gratitude for a world that continues to surprise us. Truly a fascinating and enchanting memory to cherish. Hafiz seems really passionate about his work and conservation efforts which is great. However, my family and I felt that the firefly experience was not worth the time and money. Could barely see anything worthwhile and the workers in-charge of steering the boat were smoking the entire time. Ps. video here is the most action from the fireflies on this tour. You can definitely see more in the kampong without going through all this effort.

It was great! Mesmerising and magical experience. Highly recommended. Encik Hafiz is passionate about his job and gives good explanation. He studied firefly communication and can make the fireflies come over to us. It's not something you could experience elsewhere!

We were here to watch the fireflies in Cherating. Our boatman was Mr Hafiz himself. He took us around the 7km waterways and showed/called the fireflies for us. I enjoyed myself throughout the trip. The most beautiful scene was at the last spot where the fireflies lighted the tree, and the tree looked like a Christmas tree! Amazing!

My third time visiting. The quality of service / experience no longer reflect the quality few years back. 1. No briefing given prior to the trip. 2. Too many boats, as if every boats competing for firefly. 3. Last time it was Hafiz himself doing the navigation, and explaining about firefly during the trip.
Hayqal S — Google review
Awesome experience with Hafiz and team, made it very comfortable and educational. Joined the firefly at night and mangrove cruise in the morning. Enjoyed every single second. Saw a mud crab, snake, monkeys on mangrove cruise. Firefly at night, they will guide the fireflies to u, u can hold it in ur hand. Can’t miss experience! 10/10 rec. if you have transport, book it directly from here, not your hotel (charged much higher)

Longtime, beachfront sanctuary featuring a turtle hatchery, guided tours & educational exhibits.
Anyone can enter to this place. The sanctuary only closed in Monday and public holiday. Good for child, school student to know more about the turtle with story about types of turtle and 1 pool with baby turtle less 1 month, 1 pool with turtle 2month dan 4month and another pool with big turtle live there.

Free entrance, but you are encouraged to donate some for the sanctuary daily operation. Highly recommended to bring your kids here and learn about turtle hatching, their life and challenges after the turtles were released to the sea. There are 3 to 4 pools available for the visitors to see the real turtles. There were also explanation board in the exhibition room. The place is small, very near to the beach. If you don't like hit weather, come early in the morning. Souvenirs were also being sold at the front desk area.

Pretty good place to see turtle. You can also book a time to see turtle laying eggs, but i forgot whether you need to pay for it or free. And it needs to be a group. Can contact them for details. Personally, I like the turtle sanctuary in Pantai Kerachut. From the explanation of the staff in both sanctuaries, I like what they are doing in Pantai Kerachut more. Try going to both and you will understand why.

Still worth your half an hour to 45 mins visit, an informative display gallery, a few ponds with isolated (maybe injured) / 2 big turtles, and a pond with lots of baby turtles. We visited it on Saturday afternoon. The front counter staff was friendly. We were told the centre will be closed at 4.30pm. And we can come back at 6pm if we are interested in joining the baby turtles release. And it is free to join. If we want to see the big turtle lay eggs on the beach, there is only one place which is Teluk Mak Nik. And a fee and booking in advance is required.

Can bring children here to learn about turtles. It's not a big place, but there's a gallery and info about turtle's species. People also can see a real turtle.

A small centre next to Club Med Cherating. There were 3 pools, one with 2 Green turtles, one with the hatchlings and one where a turtle was kept from the others as it was attacked by the others. It was amazing seeing the animals up close but I feel sorry for them as the pool conditions could be better. The displays were informative but basic. They work with Club Med Cherating to collect the eggs laid on their private beach and entry is free.
