There are many souvenir shops selling cute and unique items at reasonable prices, much cheaper than in many other tourist areas. The food options are great too, from street snacks to proper restaurants, so you can easily spend hours walking around, shopping, and eating. There’s also a ferris wheel, which looks beautiful at night, though the ticket price is quite high compared to other attractions. Still, it adds a nice touch to the riverside skyline. One tip — when you’re waiting for a Grab or Bolt, don’t do it from the front entrance, as it’s usually very crowded and confusing for drivers. Instead, go to the north gate, where pickup is much easier and faster. Overall, Asiatique is a must-visit spot for shopping, dining, and sightseeing by the river!

Great place to visit with great shops and restaurants. There’s definitely something for everyone at Asiatique. Best way to access is on a river boat and experience as well a small river cruise. Evenings are a bit better, less hot. Pretty busy but not overcrowded in my opinion. Another must-do in Bangkok.

Also, most of the Chao Phraya dinner cruises leave from the Asiatic Riverfront. There is a large Ferris wheel also around and nice food stalls. Good place to spend the evening with family.

This is a modern market with plenty of shops and drinking and eating establishments specifically tailored to tourists. In fact I see most were brought here by their tour group guides. As such the prices are much higher than what you can find in the more traditional ones. Buyers beware I suppose. They did offer the free shuttle boat to/from the Sathorn pier FYI.

Great place, plenty to offer, from the very young (game arcades) to the more mature. There are so many different choices of food, great choices and the quality of food we had was great. You can also go onboard a boat after buying a ticket and go up the river enjoying the food and drink aboard. Or simply sit in one of the bars and people watch the others passing by. The area opens up from circa 5pm. Really good vibe to the place, it's busy but not overwhelming.

A Serene and Beautiful Temple This temple is truly a peaceful haven with a quiet ambiance, away from the usual crowds. The architecture is beautiful, especially the serene face of Buddha which adds to the spiritual atmosphere. I also noticed a couple of monks around, which made the experience feel even more authentic and calming. There’s a souvenir shop inside the temple where you can pick up small mementos. They also conduct rituals and poojas for those interested. Overall, a lovely place to visit for some peace and spiritual reflection.

A Hidden Gem with Rich History and Majestic Beauty Wat Trai Mit Witthayaram Worawihan is an absolute must-visit for anyone exploring Bangkok. Located near Chinatown, this temple may seem modest at first glance, but it houses one of the most remarkable treasures in Thailand — the Golden Buddha. The main attraction is the 5.5-ton solid gold statue of Buddha, seated in the traditional Sukhothai style. The sheer size and historical significance of this statue are awe-inspiring. What’s even more fascinating is the story behind it — for centuries, the statue was covered in plaster to protect it from invaders, only to be rediscovered as solid gold during a move in the 1950s when some of the outer layer chipped off. The temple complex is clean, well-maintained, and not overwhelmingly crowded (especially if you visit early in the day). There’s also a small museum on the lower floor that provides context about the Golden Buddha’s history, its accidental rediscovery, and the rich heritage of Thai-Chinese culture in the area. Tops Supermarket is located on level G of MBK. Great selections of groceries. Both locally and import products are all around. They do have fresh bakeries and Arigato cafe at the front entrance too.

Tops Supermarket is conveniently located at the MBK center. It is hidden amongst the pop-up stalls and situated at a corner of the shopping center. This big supermarket carries lots of groceries and household items. Bought yogurt drinks but one of them had turned sour. The packaging looks decent but do take care when consuming food/drinks.

MBK Shopping Mall is one of the most popular malls in Bangkok. Downstairs there is a large and good supermarket. Fresh fruits are sold here, I think this market is good and complete.

Top is my favorite spot ever but today the cashier is really uncomfortable for us. Why they can't smile a bit and make her face as mad on us.

Lovely oasis in the middle of Bangkok craziness (which I love). I went on my own without my kids or other 1/2 following me around looking bored. I have a very peaceful morning enjoying the gardens and architecture. The walk from the station was really interesting as well- lots of great street art down the canal walkway.

I visited the museum in 2019 and fell in love with this hidden treasure in the heart of Bangkok. I visited again to see this place again and I was still amazed at how beautiful and peaceful this place is. I would definitely recommend the visit, and I would personally go with the flow in terms of tour times. It’s a place where you can sit and relax until your tour time. It’s been 7 years since I’ve been and I’ll definitely visit again on my next trip to Bangkok.

A nice place to see some history of Thai silk industry and how a foreigner was able to make such an impact. Plus an insight into how Jim Thompson lived. The restaurant on sight is absolutely top notch, not a tourist trap and worth the money (it’s not cheap cheap)

As one of the most luxurious malls in central Bangkok, Siam Paragon is full of designer brands and has a very modern feel. It's a shame that many of the shops, like those selling home goods, are increasingly focused on Western products instead of offering more Thai or Asian-style items. ​Downstairs, there is a great supermarket with a food court. There is also a food area outside, but be careful where you buy from. We were charged 360 baht for two small sticky rice, which was quite expensive.

The food court has countless options. Exploring it was my favorite activity to do here. Loved every bit of exploring it. Want to go back here again & again. Gourmet market filled with various special items from around the world. Make you feel like you have gone out to world food tour.

There's plenty of food options and fashion brands and I find it easier to get to compared to ICON Siam, and there are plenty of other major shopping malls in its proximity if you are done shopping here. This place is the most luxury mall I’ve ever been to and it feels like it just keeps going on forever. You go up one level and think that’s the top just to find there are 3 more levels. Incredible design work! Plus the food court is a huge plus - many many Michelin star restaurants inside!

A large mall in downtown Bangkok, clean and modern. Offering a variety of premium and high-end brands. I like the food court and restaurant area, the food has a lot of choices and is delicious.

It has all you need. Good for window shopping. Asia books and Kinokuniya are probably the sanctuary in the whole mall. Very noisy especially in the entrance hall and the outdoor stage. Full of tourists and teenagers. Most fashion items are new, rarely on sales and costly. Best to window shop here and buy online. BTS is the best way to commute. Parking space is time-wasting. You’d end up spending 30 mins up, 30 mins down in the parking zone.

The Chatuchak Market is the largest open-air market in Bangkok, so prepare for a lot of walking. The location is accessible by train, making it fairly easy to get there. There is no fee to get in and the market has different areas dedicated to specific items such as art or clothing. Scattered throughout are food stalls and other shops. I spent 4 hours here and was able to get through most of the market.

I have been to Chatuchak Market many times over the years and every time I go I find something new or a section I haven't visited before. It's a very very big market and definitely worth a visit. They sell everything from clothes to kitchen wear, Hilltribe arts and crafts to furniture and antiques. There is so much more too this place but if you are looking for presents to take home or a great experience in Bangkok then it is a great option. Oh and there are lots of places to eat and drink as well. Just a two minute walk from the BTS station Mo Chit and the MRT station Suan Chatuchak.

This market mostly is of antiques or thrift clothing items. Although there was many cool items personally a lot of the price points were similar to that a vintage markets back home in Canada. They were curated, but for me things were more expensive than I was willing to spend. Definitely worth checking out though. Bring a snack as there’s a lot of floors and you will be in there for hours.

Huge and amazing. Everything you could ever want is here. Trinkets, souvenirs, shoes, clothes, wallets, scarves, jerseys, household goods, bags and more. It is a barter situation so start lower than what they have marked, the more you get the better discount you'll get. Lots of delicious food stalls as well. It's absolutely huge so plan on spending some time here, many duplicate vendors but also many unique.

Lots to see, buy, drink and eat in Lat Krabang, at the Paseo Mall. Relaxed vibe throughout this retro style mall, which is spaciously spread over several indoor and outdoor sections and, split over two (2) levels, with ample enough car parking at the rear, too. The Food Mall is a great spot for lunch and diner and there are plenty of services, ranging from banking to educational and health, here too.

It's a pretty standard shopping mall. I just came today to put some credit on my phone at the AIS shop. The ladies were helpful, I got good service. There is a Chester's, McDonalds and KFC for the westerners and the usual array of Thai cuisine on offer.

Nice place to kill some time and spend the last Baht. There's a small food "mall" outside which is quite simple but connected to this there are lots of Western restaurants and cafés, a small "mall" with clothing-, tech- and pharmacy-stores and billions of ATMs. There are also two(?) larger supermarkets with a great variety of worldwide food and in the evening the outside part turns into a lively streetfood market - and it's clean!!! Ate for 85 Baht all in all and it was the cheapest and best Thai food I had during my whole holidays.

I only recommend this if you're already around, but it's a great mall for food lovers. First, there's a food market with great variety. Second, there's a lot of famous food chains like McDonald's, kfc and pizza hot.

Safari World is a fun place to spend a day, especially if you enjoy animal shows and light adventure. We were able to watch the Spy War, dolphin, and sea lion shows, and each one had its own entertaining moments. The bus tour was also a nice way to see different animals up close without too much effort. One of the highlights was feeding the giraffes, which was simple but memorable. The weather was good, so lunchtime wasn’t too hot, and there were shaded spots to rest. Just be ready for a lot of walking since the park is quite wide. Overall, it’s a good experience for families and friends who want a mix of shows, animals, and easy sightseeing.

Most shows happen twice a day, so plan your visit accordingly to make the most of it. Every show is worth your time and perfect for families. For better ticket prices, book through Agoda or other online travel portals — they usually offer great discounts. If you plan to visit Safari World, note that you can either drive your own car through the park or pay 100 Baht per person for the safari bus (in addition to the admission ticket). The safari itself takes about 30 minutes — it’s nice but don’t expect the kind of up-close tiger encounters you might see in promotional pictures. If you’ve booked a ticket with lunch included, you’ll enjoy a buffet meal at one of their restaurants. The lunch was really good — they had separate counters for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, which we appreciated. For feeding animals, the prices vary from 100–300 Baht depending on the animal. Restrooms are available at many places inside the park, which is convenient. A small tip — bottled water (500 ml) inside costs around 30 Baht, so it’s better to carry your own bottle. You can refill it during the buffet lunch. They played 2-3 indian songs during dolphin show. Overall, don’t pay too much attention to negative reviews — it’s truly one of the best one-time experiences you can have in Bangkok, especially for families and kids. Highly recommended! 🌿🦒🐬

We went on a group tour. Well this place is good for children and adults with 4 different shows that happen everyday (chimpangee, dolphin, sealion and elephant show). It takes you whole day. Giraffe feeding was 200 bhat each and taking a picture with eagle was 400 bhat each. We were fed indian buffet lunch(not recommended). We eneded up eating outside the buffet as it was very much unorganized. The resturants are all animal themed. The safari world is where you drive with you van or car inside a protected area. We did not enjoy it. However we got to see tiger, bear and more animals. The zoo was supercrowded as many tour groups and students from school were there when we visited. An okish experience.

The Dolphin Show was a beautiful display of agility and intelligence, while the Spy War stunt show had our entire group on the edge of our seats with its high-octane action and incredible special effects. However, the most magical moments were the interactive encounters. Feeding the gentle giraffes, who eagerly yet politely took lettuce leaves right from our hands, was a heartwarming and unforgettable experience that we captured in countless photos. The park is impeccably clean, the pathways are well-signposted, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. We spent a solid eight hours here and still felt like we could have seen more. Safari World has masterfully created a perfect blend of education, conservation, and pure, unadulterated entertainment. It is worth every baht and every minute of your time. I cannot recommend it highly enough for families, couples, and solo travelers alike—it’s a true gem and a must-visit destination in Bangkok

A wonderful place with many animals to see, including tigers, zebras, and many more. The Terrest Giraffe experience is definitely worth it, but do note there’s an additional charge. And don’t miss the dolphin show, it’s absolutely fantastic! You can get all the tickets on the Klook app.

Very nice waterfall in rain seizon very strong and big, to walk there is not for beginners, at the end there is a steep stairs

One of the best waterfalls I have seen. Stillness before the cliff. Once at the cliff, water flows down with great strength. Its so steep and dangerous that elephants have died. Barriers are built to prevent the elephants from going too near to the waterfall. Its a must see when in Khao Yai. The final stretch come with relatively steep steps. So take extra caution.

Beautiful waterfall @Khaoyai. To enjoy this beautiful waterfall you need to climb hundreds of very steep stairs. There isn't too many people during the weeks. It is worth the trip to enjoy this beautiful nature.

Pls be prepared for the flight of stairs down and up to the viewing platform. It is amazing and I even ran into a herd of elephants head on and it was amazing. Don’t be held back by a thb 400 and thb 30 fee. Just go and self drive. Road is safe. Oh this part of road is only opened from 6am-6pm.

Great way to explore the nature. About 1km walk from the entrance. Can observe trees and some small wild animals during the way. The walk path is easy to moderate and very steep stairs when getting close to the waterfall. The waterfall itself is great and there was a lot of water during rainy season.

Biggest waterfall I've ever seen! But be aware of some things: 1. You have to walk for a while to get there and there are MANY steps (you also have to walk back again, so only go there if you feel fit enough) 2. Due to the height of the waterfall, there is a lot of humidity in the air. If you stand right next to the waterfall, you will get very wet. Make sure you only bring clothing that can get wet 3. There are a lot of dangerous animals right next to the foot path (we saw a tarantula and some poisonous snakes) so stay on the path or bring a local guide.

Beautiful park - pristine and well worth visiting. Be mindful that as a foreigner, you will need to pay the tourist price for entry (400 bhat). Not a big deal but worth noting. Also be mindful that there are a lot of unmarked speed bumps so keep an eye out for these. Highly recommended

The National park is very beautiful. A wide open large space with a road running all the way through it. On our visit we didn’t get to see elephants but we saw large healthy dear and monkeys carrying babies. There are amazing view points and also camping points. You can also drive right through the park to an amazing waterfall. A very worthwhile visit. 40 Bhat for local people and 300 Bhat for foreigners. Still money worth spending.

Huge national park with many interesting animals. I'd recommend to book a safari with a guide, because otherwise you might drive/walk straight past the most interesting things without even noticing. Also you are not allowed to walk into the jungle on your own, which makes sense because although beautiful it can also be dangerous. Also make sure you bring insect spray and leech protection socks. And don't forget to respect nature.

Beautiful place with lots of wildlife. Although it was a very short wildlife photography trip for me, I got some wonderful photographs of wild elephant herd, sambar deers, barking deers, and pig-tailed macaques. Definitely coming back for a longer visit next time.

It's really worth a visit. Just watch out for wildlife if you were to drive after dawn. There are so many interesting spots, day and night, to enjoy the nature. If you are not really into camping, stay on the lower areas of the park. There are many fancy hotels and houses to choose from. More importantly, it's much easier to eat with varieties of foods. Just be aware that prices may be similar to Bangkok, or some places are even priceier.

We visit the khao yai national Park yesterday I search on khao yai national Park website the entry fees for foreigners is 200 baht even on the Internet it says 200 baht but they charge us 400 baht per person we are the group of many people so it become double the price that what we expected this is very disappointed Dual pricing scam for expats 40thb for Thai 400thb for foreigners even if you have a work permit ranger staff at the entrance told us to leave if we aren't happy paying 10 times more than locals. This is the worst experience and worst attitude we faced and we didn't see much wildlife in day time At night safari we see some but it's not worth it to pay 10× extra for that

I really enjoyed our nature trip! The views were stunning, the air was fresh, and it felt so relaxing to be surrounded by nature.

Absolutely incredible experience at PB Valley! I ordered the braised beef and a calamari side, and both dishes were out of this world. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, rich in flavour, and perfectly balanced. The calamari was fresh, crispy, and a great complement to the meal. The restaurant is set right in a beautiful vineyard, which adds to the charm. Our group, though we didn’t drink, bought a bunch of grape juices — and they were excellent. Everyone was happy with the food, and I also tried my friend’s roasted chicken, which was delicious. The atmosphere was warm, and the service attentive and friendly. I can’t recommend this place enough — if you’re in Khao Yai, make sure PB Valley is on your list!

Very charming winery with a lovely view restaurant. Moderate prices for great food and yummy wine. Nice gift shop and can buy wine and spirits there. Locally made products. The staff is friendly and attentive. Had no time for wine tour but will be back. Easy parking. Lovely mountains with water views of vineyard.

The vineyard is a gem in the Khaoyai National Park. Beautifully landscaped with several out buildings including an excellent restaurant. We also did the wine tasting. I would definitely recommend it.

Truly a new experience. Joined their 350 baht wine tour at 09.15 am time. Got to see their vineyard, grape picking, and the production line. You can also got 3 glass of wine tasting. Very worth it !

Visited PB Valley Winery in Khao Yai last Saturday. The place has a great ambiance surrounded by beautiful greenery. As it’s off-season, there weren’t many grapes on the vines, but our guide explained everything perfectly about the vineyard and wine-making process. If you enjoy nature and a calm, peaceful environment, it’s definitely worth a visit.

We have afternoon meal at restaurant, atmosphere & food are excellence. Very good thing is that it has no break between lunch and dinner.

Tickets are 120฿ per person — drive your own car in and explore 4 main spots between 1:30–3:30 PM. • Stop 1 is mainly for feeding animals (not photo-friendly and requires extra fee). • Stop 2 is a stunning flower field with wide open skies and constant cool breeze — perfect for photos (but bring a hat, it’s sunny!). • Stop 3 is where you can feed adorable animals. A basket of treats (milk bottles, veggies, etc.) costs 140฿ and is more than enough. After that, cool down with their 99฿ coconut ice cream cone (topped with beans!) — super refreshing, but melts fast in the wind. • There are also 4 daily buffalo shows — free to watch, though it gets crowded and hard to snap a clear pic.

The farm has four exploration points. First, you get to explore a big field and interact with the sheep. You can also feed them. Second, you explore a field of colorful flowers. Third, you can milk cows, interact with rabbits, sheep, and geese, and play fun mini-games. You can also rent a bike to go around. Fourth, it is a museum where you can learn about cowboy culture and the Thai forest. Their ice cream is delicious. It has a soft gelato-like consistency and not-too-sweet flavors.

First time to Pak Chong and Farm Chok Chai was a highlight and my family loved it very much!! Huge Sunflower farm and feeding animals were nice and really made us come close to nature! Special indeed.

One of the historic farm in Thailand. We have visited this place during our journey back to Bangkok. With just 120 Baht per person we drove thru the farm by our car. We also ordered a "recommended" hamburger menu that in my idea was a bit overpriced (410 Baht) taken into account the quality and quantity compared to what usually we get in Europe.

Visited in December 2024 for a family trip. It is a very big farm. Paid for entrance to drive in with our driver. The drive is just a small loop. Went in the afternoon as my driver said that's the time he could bring us there. Totally wrong. I suggest you go in the early morning. No cowboy show during my visit. Just some sheep and cows. They will display 2 dairy cows for you to try milking but you need to pay. So be prepared to pay at every station. I can't even go around the farm on their tractor because they claimed my ticket was not included. I wasn't even sure what was included in my ticket as I can't speak or understand Thai. I just paid what I was told and went for it. I spent only 30 minutes there and I left. A total waste of time. It only looks fantastic on advertisements but the real thing doesn't match up at all. There are better ones.

I’ve been coming to this place for many years. Chokchai burgers are fresh & juicy, the meat is delicious, recently I’m skipping the buns. The staff in the little booth is always very friendly and helpful. I’m looking forward to my next stopover

What's Good? Great view at the cafe on top with cool air during December. Not your typical theme park, but still packed with fun. Super spacious. Recommend to bring poncho along. Go for the 599 per person package. 3 hours, just nice. What's to improve? Ice-cream and drinks exchange with free token are available in the upper region only, not at entrance. More maintenance needed.

As an adult, it was a lovely afternoon and a wonderful experience. As a foreigner, the price of an MVP pass was a bit too high for what was on offer, in my opinion. Most of the things are geared more towards a younger audience. You can easily see everything in four hours. It's definitely worth a visit.

Good fun, but expensive (like you’d expect from a theme park). We went for the rainbow road luge which was a great laugh but over in a minute… 399Baht per person for a single activity, shuttle car-train to the top section of the park and a drink.

I had a very bad experience. If you're a foreigner you'll have absolutely no information since everything is written only in Thai. And most of the staff are not very friendly and difficult to get information. I speak Thai but still struggle because I can't read Thai. The staff weren't so helpful. Later I understand the entry plans are all joke and couldn't even play anything without paying 200 each ride. I chose 599 and my wife picked 399 and both are almost the same. Not worthy for what you the pay...

Arrived and paid for the promotion price to get into the garden. Here is the place where you can take your time, feel the breeze , smell the scent of flowers blossom. Beautiful and perfect place to take pictures with flowers. There are trams offering shuttle services between zones. It only opens for one month a year, which is in December for tourists. This farm is amazing. Not only beautiful flowers and rice fields you can take photos with, you can also learn the way of life of Northeastern 'Esan' Thai people. This place exhibits about the Thai rices and silks. You can learn the silkworm's circle of life and how people got the silk thread from the silkworm's cocoons.

A very nice place to visit as a couple or family. Lots of flowers and pretty scenery. There's a tram ride that takes you around the farm. You can get off the tram to take a picture and catch the next tram. Food inside the farm is very very expensive. I recommend getting lunch and snacks at the entrance. The ticket to get in is kinda pricey.

Big area to walk. We come in the morning around 11am and find that the place is a little too hot to enjoy walking around. There is quite a lots of variety of flower and plants in the farm but feels a little too artificial to be a real farm. More like a tourist attraction.

Nothing much here to explore. Stack of pumpkin hill for people to take photo. Area very big, need shuttle bus from point to point. There is no queue system for the shuttle bus, everyone will need to run and rush, saw family with elderly got hard time to get into the shuttle bus.

The structure has a rather huge and very well taken care of park. Location very close to Thanon Mittraphap and it is very easy to approach by car with enough parking space on the front side. Entrance is free for all. Big interior. Not very crowded on a working day, might have more visitors on weekend. All in all it worths a visit.

A nice area, set by the historic city moat and reconstructed West Gate of possible 17th century origin under King Narai the Great. An elegant modern statue of the celebrated Governor's wife under HM King Rama III, credited with a saviour's role in thwarting Anouvong's invasion 200 years ago. The events doomed the Vientiane Laotian kingdom as a last vestige of Laan Sang on the Korat Plateau and cemented Isaan into Siam, for which it has much to be thankful.

Important monument in Korat city. When u been Korat until you’ve paid respect to Grandma Mo also known Ya Mo (as Suranaree is known locally). At night really peaceful and Monday - Sunday Open 24 hours . The recommend to visit and pay respect .

Interesting monument. It will be very crowded since it fits right on the street. Parking is almost difficult to do it's better to use a taxi to the monument and dropping you off and picking you up after you finish business way with Ya Mo. Everyone who travel to this city should go there pay the respect to Thao suranari monument for you blessful life, I recommend, at least one time of your whole life.

We came late due to the jam caused by many people returning to their hometown for the new year 2025. We were lucky to be given a chance to go to the top of the Elephant Museum to pray to LP Koon statue that is almost 99% resemblance to LP Koon.

If you want to see alot of beautiful art and learn more about the way too nirvana this is a must go. Really big place with much to see.

That's amazing! The weather was lovely, perfect for a leisurely walk around the spacious 100-rai property. The grounds are beautifully preserved, with different rooms showcasing the architecture. At the back, there’s a massive tree believed to be over 400 years old. Admission: 200 baht for foreigners, 20 baht for Thai nationals, and free for children under 12. Parking: Available near the entrance, fits around 15 cars. Museum: Air-conditioned and pleasantly cool inside. Restrooms: Very clean. It’s absolutely worth bringing children to experience and appreciate ancient Khmer art. A truly valuable and worthwhile visit! ❤️🙏

I love these ancient temples. This one doesn't disappoint and is very impressive. You can tell that there has been a lot of effort put into it and I think more restoration and access to closed off areas would enhance the place more.

Phimai Historical Park is a truly amazing and worthwhile visit, often compared to a more peaceful version of Angkor Wat. This beautiful example of Khmer architecture is a must-see for anyone in the region. The 200 Baht ticket is great value, granting you access to the park's well-preserved structures. While the park is generally open until 6:00 PM daily, be sure to check for special events or festivals, as these can include extended evening hours for unique experiences like a light-and-sound show.

The Architecture is remarkable, though parts of the site are poorly lit in the night. The cultural show is phenomenal. Highly recommended.

Beautiful smaller temple located in between some of the main temples in Khon Kaen. The temple ground were under renovation when I visited but the temples itself are still a beauty to behold. Worth paying a visit and spending 10-15 minutes here

Wat Nong Waeng Phra Aram Luang is a famous temple in Khon Kaen province and is recognized as a royal temple. It’s a large temple with many parking lot available for visitors. Tourists are expected to dress modestly and respectfully, ensuring shoulders and knees are covered. Women are not allowed to wear short skirts above the knee or sleeveless tops. Before entering the pagoda, which houses sacred relics, all visitors are required to remove their shoes. The temple provides cloth bags for carrying shoes inside, as theft has occurred in the past. Visitors are advised to place their shoes in the provided bags and carry them while exploring the pagoda. The ground floor of the pagoda serves as a space for making merit and features several donation boxes. The interior is intricately decorated and visually stunning. Tourists can also climb to the top of the pagoda, which has nine floors in total. The stairs are steep, so caution is advised. From the ninth floor, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Khon Kaen city.

This is my 2nd time here and it is one of the most beautiful temples in Khon Kaen. There is a stair access to the 9 levels of pagoda but it might be too steep for some people. It was very crowded when we visited.

One of my favourite Temples in Thailand and definitely in the city of Khon Kaen. This Temple is a Khon Kaen land mark and tourist destination. It hosts 9 levels each with artworks, artefacts, shrines, and information much like a museum. Each level represents the ascension to enlightenment and there is a 360 degree view of the surrounding city on every level. The ground floor is the main floor where locals come to greet the monks and pray. I really like this Temple because of its beautiful architecture and surrounding grounds, the view of the city from each level, the artworks, artefacts and information scattered all around. Artworks include paintings that depict traditional every day Thai life, correct behaviour as taught by the scriptures as well as the story of the life of the The Buddha carved into the doors and window shutters. It is easy to spend a whole day here getting lost wandering around discovering new area's while viewing the surrounding city from one of the best vantage points in Khon Kaen.

Wat Nong Wang (วัดหนองแวง) is Khon Kaen city’s biggest, most important temple, and also its one must-see tourist attraction. It was founded in 1789, the same year the city was settled, though there are no old buildings left. It became a royal temple in 1984. About 55 monks and 225 novices live here. It’s ordinary in most regards, except for the stunning nine-story Phra Mahathat Kaen Nakhon, a stupa unlike any other in Thailand. Many of the links below take you to other articles explaining the art in detail. Phra Mahathat Kaen Nakhon The ground floor is open 6am-5pm and floors 2-9 are open 8am-4.30pm. Phra Mahathat Kaen Nakhon stupa was built to celebrate both the king’s golden jubilee (celebration of 50 years on the throne) and the two hundredth birthday of Khon Kaen city. It is 50m long on the side and 80m tall and has nine floors because he was King Rama 9. Construction was started in 1990 and it was inaugurated in 1996. The idea for the stupa came from the highly respected Luang Paw Koon Kantigo, the then abbot. The design was inspired by the Eiffel Tower and the Shwedagon Pagoda, both of which he saw while travelling. The most important of the abbot’s ideas, however, is the stupa’s curved shape, chosen to be that made by a hanging fishing net – called a catenary curve in physics. People’s ashes are kept in the stupas at each of the four corners and the naga-topped wall around the stupa. Before construction, when this area was still rice field, a naga came to tell a high-ranking monk in a dream that there was a naga breathing hole where the stupa was going to be built. So, the stupa was built about 10m from the original intended location and these naga were incorporated into the design. The shape of the top part of the stupa was inspired by Phra That Kham Kaen stupa (notice the redented corners) north of the city and has a golden-colored vine pattern similar to that on the very important Phra That Phanom stupa in Nakhon Phanom province. Ground Floor The temple’s center of activity is the stupa’s ground floor, which has a Buddha relic inside a chamber with a nine-spired roof. Next to it is a life-like resin statue of Luang Paw Koon Kantigo, the previous abbot (Unusual, because these are normally made after an abbot has died, but this one was put here many years before.), and in the back is a copy of the Chinnarat Buddha (from Phitsanulok); two copies of Phra Kaew (the Emerald Buddha), one green and one orange; and a baby Buddha. They are facing west, rather than the usual east, because the original Chinnarat Buddha also faces west. Along the northern wall is a table with 108 alms bowls (for donating 108 coins) and another full of daily Buddhas. The number 108 was important in ancient India and so it is found in many Buddhist stories, most importantly the 108 signs of perfection to show that he was the Buddha – this is also why there are often 108 symbols on the soles of many large Buddha footprints.

The main Temple of Khonkaen called Wat - Nong - Wang (in Thai). There is 9 floor with closely pyramid shape. All decoration is very Thai, which beautiful, charming and richy by the golden colour of gold. The activity is walk around the floor then step up to the top of temple. The location is beside of kaennakorn swamp that very massive impress by the top view from the top of Nongwang temple.

As a non believer I can review just the multi storey building. Once you get the last floor you will see an amazing 360 degrees view. The stairs are not easy to climb because the steps are high and narrow.

The famous street market of Khonkaen prefecture. All of shop are local, basic and naturally. The zoning is separate by consumers product and food products, you can find the seasonal food in this street food. The price is very fair. Good vibes. If you are the traveller, I recommended to come.

Kk walking street now having event from 1-12 Dec. Admission and parking is free. Highly recommended for evening walk, as there's many streetfood and go for photos as night there's light as well.

Maybe the Covid scare & restrictions have made this Saturday night event dismal and not special. No place to sit and eat your food from the vendors and lacks a happy atmosphere. Maybe a live band would help.

A lot of booths or stores in this walking street. You also can buy puppies here. For Muslim, you can find halal food store that selling yellow rice and chicken. Don't worry about car park because a lot of space around there.

The atmosphere was good. When we came, the weather was good, the sky was overcast, not too hot. We arrived in the morning, there weren't many people yet. You can feed the elephants and various animals. There is a restaurant, coffee, and activities to do, you can easily spend time here at least 1-3 hrs including lunchtime. Recommend coming when the weather isn't too hot. On weekend afternoons, there are a lot of people. Have a goo day all 😊🌠

Visited on October 28th. Mostly sunny sky, beautiful weather. I parked in front of the ticket office at 7:40. There are also toilets. To see the red lilies you need to take a boat. Small boat for 2 persons 300B, boat up to 6 persons 500B. When i gave the 300B, the nice lady at the cashier returned me 100B, maybe because i was alone. A very honest behaviour, unusual in the tourism business. The boat ride to the area where lilies are took about 10 minutes at a relaxed pace Then the boat man entered slowly and respectfully of the water plants inside the lilies. When we stopped the boat and the silence surrounded us, it was magical. Around us thousands of red water lilies (although not as many as in the peak season), and many water birds and swallows chirping. The trip took almost an hour. Very impressed by nature and people here. Some Thai people at the dock even invited me for breakfast.

I visited in March which was not the season, but the Red Lotus Lake was on my bucket list. We rented a big boat for 500 baht. He took us out to several spots, and even stopped at the temple on the island. The lake was absolutely beautiful and tranquil. I enjoyed beautiful pink lotus, watching birds, and water buffalos. I recommend it for nature lovers.

Small boat for up to 2 people - 300 Baht. Big Boat for up to 6 people - 500 Baht. It's very very beautiful to visit during Seasonal Period between December to January. The Ride is about One Hour. I did not regret travelling so far to see this amazing red lotus lake. Advice to Arrive there in the Early Morning before 0800 to avoid the strong sun and crowd.

The sheer variety and beauty of the birds here is astounding! Their antics were absolutely hilarious – frantic food hunts, comical escapes from our boat, and the sheer chaos of their running retreats. And the lake? A perfect mirror reflecting it all. A truly delightful experience!

Me and my girlfriend passed by Khumphawapi in wrong (dry) season so boat rides on the lake were closed. However we still found some beautiful lotuses along the road around the lake and walking in the fields

Every season has different lotus flowers, grab a boat and enjoy, you can have a bit dining too. Will come back 😊

Very nice and big shopping mall. The Central malls never disappoints. Many shops, big arcade, cinema, food court and beautiful interior. This one has it all. You will also find big international businesses like McDonalds, KFC and so on in here. if you arrive by car there’s a huge parking house right next to the mall

Perfume HAVE. Cosmetics HAVE. Jordan’s NO HAVE. A huge mall full of something that is useless as for me. Better sell shoes there )))

Interesting place to cruise around for a bit and get out of the heat. They have everything under the sun here. Fancy high end brands, a huge food court, book stores, electronics stores, you name it. Im sure you'll find something for you. They even have a Sizzler steak house!

Bery big mall. Went looking for shoes and couldn't find my size 11.5US. A lot of restaurants!! Banks!!! Grocery store, pharmacy, and retail apparel. The massage chairs are the best!!!!

It's a modern big shopping complex with multiple storey. There are major brands of retailers here, including Mark & Spencer, Tag Hauer, Victoria Secret, Starbucks, H&M....etc. Supermarkets and Food Centre is in the basement. Top floor have a cinema and children's play entertainment. Restaurants are mostly on the 4th floor. There are also major banks on the 3rd. You can spend a whole day here without stepping out.

One of the nicer parks I have seen in the country. Good that it has a theme. However needs more trees for shade in the late afternoon. Gets quite sunny. Park facilities are basic. If only there is a jogging-friendly connection link to the other parks nearby ...

Best Park in Udon Thani – Great for Everyone! This is hands down the best park in Udon! The atmosphere is amazing — peaceful, green, and full of life. You'll find people of all ages enjoying different activities here: from cycling, jogging, and football to group dance practices and more. There are exercise machines available for free, making it a great spot to work out. If you're just looking to relax, you can sit by the water and enjoy the cool breeze — it's incredibly refreshing. What makes it even better is that there are cafes and restaurants nearby, so you can grab a coffee or a bite to eat before or after your visit. I love this park. I walk around the lake every day and feel relaxed while getting some exercise. Its beautifully maintained. It has both bike and jogging lanes. Its teaming with wildlife from fish in the lake to turtles and frogs. A very pleasant place to walk or bike around.

We love to come to Nong Prajak Park! There are so many ways you can spend your time here. The sunset over the lake is beautiful. We love to walk or bike around the park on the paths. Our kids love the vast array of playgrounds and work-out equipment. The bridges are fun and pretty.

Really nice clean park in the centre of the city. Gardens are very well maintained. Has cycle and walking paths connecting all of the islands. Good place to go for a stroll and relax for a few hours with children. Bicycles can be rented nearby for cheap prices. There's a stall selling food to feed the birds and fish in the lake.

Nice picturesque park with bike hire , street food , massage and restuarant. Busy with people exercising in the evenings.

Great place to chill. It’s huge with lots of spot to unwind and relax. They have nice suspension bridges too which is very perfect for walking and photo ops. I love this park.

Good area for a big variety of food at very reasonable prices. A good alternative to the other nearby food markets and open every evening. Lots of seatings so it’s easy to find a place to sit and enjoy your food

This market is awesome. You can eat here everything. Thai- and Western-Food or a good grilled fish. Sitting here outside you have to be 18 years old and it's a Non Smoking area.🙏

Wow what a place. This place is huge I have never seen anything soo big that is opened every night. So much food to pick from and so many options. Also lots of other things to look at from shoes to jewelry. If you are looking for something then you will find it here. So many people here also so if you not a fan of being around people then don't come but you will be missing out on one of the highlights of Udon Thani

Phantastic Food and a large Area to sit with friends and enjoy a nice evening with some beers. I prefer the left side of the market when you look at the Railway station. On the right side everything is more modern but they are having CHANG BEER ONLY ... i am loving LEO Beer or Singh or a Beer Lao better. the food night (and afternoon) market is a very busy place, Night market with broad variety of awesome food at incredible cheap prices (as others said before). Don't leave Udon without visiting this place! (Last in Sept 2022)

Great place for dinner. Many food stalls serving tasty food at reasonable prices. Unfortunately some of the tastiest foods are available for take away only. They have a bigger selection of clothing than UD Town night market. It's a good place to spend a few hours in the evening - shopping, eating, drinking, and people watching. Muxh more a local feel than UD Town. I only knock it down to 4 stars because the toilets aren't as modern as those at UD Town.

This museum chronicles a remarkable episode in twentieth century archaeology. In this village in the late 1960s villagers uncovered beautiful pots with red on buff designs. These were evidence of a hitherto unsuspected Bronze Age culture in South East Asia. The museum covers the extraordinary bronze and pottery found nds made at the site. Entrance costs 150 baht.

1-hr driving from Udon Thani city. The place is well-maintained and clean. They exhibit ancient artifacts from excavation with some historical hypothesis. Apart from that, there is nothing much (~1 hr walking around). There is a white lotus temple that you should also visit (10 min drive). Replicant pot painting is also enjoyable.

Ban Chiang National Museum is located in the North East of Thailand, in a town named Udon Thani. This museum is full of artifact from the Bronze Era like 3000 to 1800 BC. The excavation was started in the 70's and King Bumiphol was there to witness the excavation and all documented in the museum with audio visual as well. Tickets priced at 50 baht for locals and 150 baht for foreigners. The Museum closes at 4.00 pm.

Highly rated museum with internationally validated information that was fun to walk around. The staff was helpful and eager to share insights. There is an audio tour and a video to provide additional background and context. The pottery and burial sites of the prehistoric people who lived here thousands of years ago are extremely significant archeological and anthropological findings on a global scale. To understand the impact of these findings in Southeast Asia, and Thailand in particular, is fascinating and wonderful. The ticket cost was 150B for foreigners and 30B for Thais. It's a UNESCO site.

This archeological site is considered as the most important prehistoric settlement discovered in South-East Asia. Can understand why it is recognized as a UNESCO World Herritage site. Very interesting and informative! The village around the museum is so peaceful!

if you have even a passing interest in human geography this museum is amazing. it tracks the continual use of the area by humans going back to the iron age. id no idea that the iron / bronze age had run in parallel in Asia and Europe before visiting the museum.
