Historical and architectural Cathedral of Bom Jesus, an artistry engineered by Portuguese. Located inside the Daman Fort gives you a feel of Portugal era. Big entrance with lofty ceilings draws attention of tourists. The best time to visit is during Christmas or between December month which give you a spiritual feeling of that era.
On a rainy Sunday, we visited the Bom Jesus Church in Daman with colleagues, and the experience turned out to be both enriching and memorable. The church is one of the oldest and most iconic structures in Daman, carrying deep historical and heritage value. Built during the Portuguese era, it reflects the grandeur of old-world architecture with its detailed woodwork, ornamental altars, and serene ambiance. Stepping inside instantly transported us back in time, offering a sense of peace and reverence.
Outside the church, the environment had its own unique charm. The colorful houses, narrow lanes, and graffiti art walls added a vibrant touch to the heritage setting. The rains made the atmosphere even more picturesque, and the cool breeze was refreshing. Being a Sunday, there was a good crowd of tourists, yet the place retained its calm and spiritual vibe.
One of the most enjoyable parts of the visit was tasting Mithi Lassi, being served by a friendly Sardarji just outside the church. For someone belonging to North India, it brought back nostalgic memories of home and added a personal warmth to the trip. The combination of history, culture, and local flavors made the visit special.
After exploring the church, we headed towards the nearby Daman Fort, another landmark showcasing the region’s colonial past. The fort’s imposing walls and sea views gave us a deeper appreciation of Daman’s strategic and historical significance.
On our way back, the day ended on a refreshing note with a chilled Mint Mojito, much needed after a humid and busy Sunday of sightseeing. The mix of heritage, natural beauty, good weather, and simple joys of food and drink made the entire outing truly memorable.
Bom Jesus Church in Daman offers a picturesque and retro experience as church itself is one of the oldest as well as iconic dates to Portuguese era, very well architected and have a retro look almost on entering you feel like going back in time. And of course don't miss the outside garden, the incredibly colorful houses, lanes, graffiti and the nearby fort make this place worth visiting.

Daman's Church of Bom Jesus will transport you into a world of lavish grandeur and spiritual magnificence. Marvel at its exquisite Baroque facade adorned with eye-catching carvings, delicate paintings, majestic pillars, fragrant incense wafting through the air... and as soon as you step inside, you see shimmering gold leaf motifs and striking stained glass windows paying homage to god's splendour.
The blesses sacrament is very eye catching....Saturday there n 🙏 prayed. The alter is breathtakingly beautiful with its eyecatching carvings.
It was raining so we had to take out our footware before entering. There are no entry tickets.

Devka Beach is a picturesque shoreline with numerous food stalls, bars, and options for camel or horse-riding. Visitors can also find shops and hotels in the vicinity. However, it's important to note that the area is currently undergoing significant construction work as part of a smart city project - leading to high pollution levels and dust that may not be suitable for tourists. As such, it may be better to avoid visiting Devka Beach until construction work is completed by June 22nd.

Although I didn't go near the water as I found the sand and water dirty n water muddy. The jogging path has been developed beautifully with broad clean roads n street lights. There are many restaurants along the corniche area . At the weekends, there are DJ playing music.

During our recent trip to Daman, we spent some time at Devka Beach, one of the most well-known spots in the area. The experience was a mix of natural beauty, leisure, and relaxation, perfectly suited for a laid-back Sunday.
The beach stretches wide with its rocky shoreline and greyish sand, giving it a unique character compared to the more commercial beaches elsewhere. On the day we visited, the weather was cloudy and slightly humid, with the sound of waves hitting the rocks creating a calm and soothing atmosphere. The breeze made it an enjoyable walk along the promenade, and the views of the Arabian Sea were refreshing despite the overcast skies.
The beach area is lively, attracting a good number of tourists and locals alike. Families, groups of friends, and children added to the cheerful atmosphere. Along the stretch, there are small stalls offering quick snacks and beverages, making it easy to grab a bite while enjoying the view. The nearby Devka Amusement Park, though modest, adds a recreational element, especially for those visiting with children.
While the beach is not ideal for swimming due to its rocky terrain and strong currents, it makes up for it with its serene walks, open views, and vibrant ambiance. Watching the waves crash against the stones and feeling the sea breeze was a simple yet fulfilling experience.
In the evening, the place becomes even livelier with tourists flocking for the sunset view. Although the skies were cloudy during our visit, the atmosphere itself was enjoyable. Overall, Devka Beach is more about relaxation and soaking in the seaside charm rather than adventure. For those looking to unwind in Daman, it is certainly a spot worth visiting.

Devka Beach is located in Daman, a coastal town popular for weekend getaways from Gujarat and Maharashtra. I visited it during my short trip with my friends to relax by the sea and explore the local food stalls. If I were to summarise: Devka Beach is good for a relaxed seaside outing, especially around evening, for walks, sunset views. My overall Visit is very beautiful and good.
Me and my family recently visited Daman it's a beautiful place. But I was disappointed when I saw local women's are selling alcohol openly near the beach and even tourist are consuming alcohol openly. It's a tourist place what the government of Gujarat is doing. Please take some action.

Visited Wilson Hills recently with my family, and it was truly a refreshing experience. If you're looking for a peaceful hill station getaway in Gujarat, this place is a must-visit. One of the best hills to visit at this time of the year! The roads challenge both amateur & pro riders equally. The journey is just breathtaking! Luscious greenery all around, cool breeze, if you’re lucky it may rain too.
Best time to visit would probably be early morning hill climb & descent as the sun sets.
Just a humble request to all, don’t spoil the natural beauty of the place by littering the area. Carry a bag with you in which you can put all the trash & dispose it off once you get down from the hill in a nearby dustbin.
Other than that, enjoy the trip & the ride!
Amazing place for people who love to travel in mountains😍. The views are so mesmerising enjoyed whole day there.
The roads leading here could definitely use some improvement, but apart from that, this place is wonderful. You can enjoy stunning sunrise and sunset views from the viewpoint. However, don’t expect too many attractions—there’s mainly a viewpoint and a small dome-shaped structure that’s perfect for photos. The drive to this spot is quite scenic and enjoyable, making the journey itself worth it.

I had stayed here for 1 night. The rooms are great. Food is also great. The only problem I had was that I was charged for whisky glasses which I ordered in my room. The room service told me as I had brought my drinks from outside, they will charge for the glass.
Great staff! Very helpful, especially while we were travelling with a 2 year old. The rooms had everything I could ask for too.
Mirasol Resort, Daman is a very nice place for a family holiday.
It's a huge property with rooms, a huge hall and a dining area.
It's also a place for a destination wedding.
The property also has a swimming pool, lake, train and boating rides, water park and restaurant.
The people are friendly (with no artificial smiles).
The rooms are adequate with a clean bed. The bathroom and toilet are clean with necessary toiletries.
The food was tasty and authentic.
There is scope for improving WiFi facilities.
We stayed at Mirasol Resort last weekend, and it was a very bad experience for us. We had booked a stay for 3 days, and every day we faced issues with the room key — sometimes the key wouldn't work, and other times there were problems with the lock.
Even after paying ₹8000 per room per night, the hotel charges extra for basic things like an extra glass or ice cubes. The housekeeping service only cleans the room; they don't even replace the dental kits.
When we asked for a glass without charge, the staff spoke to us very rudely

Staff very adamant ... On refilling empty bottles, they refused refill it through ro water ... Check in time is 2 pm &check out time is 10 am ... Which is so unfair, on requeston extending it till 12 noon, they refused to extend it till 12 ... In that also, they are arguing till 11 am ... Property is good, food is excellent with too many varieties ... But the staff is too arrogant

I visited Gira Dhodh Waterfall again in 2025 on a weekend with my family. The place is always beautiful, but this time the water flow was less compared to my visit in 2024, when it was truly majestic and full of force. Since I went on a weekend, the crowd was quite heavy, which is common at such popular spots.
The overall experience was still enjoyable. Around the waterfall area, there are many small stalls and shops selling souvenirs, handicrafts, and local gift items, which add to the charm of the visit.
There is also a restaurant and stay facility nearby. The food was fine, but the rooms were not very impressive – okay for a short stay but not something to expect high comfort from.
In short, Gira Dhodh is a nice place for a family outing or nature trip, especially during monsoon when the waterfall is at its best. If you want to enjoy it with fewer crowds, visiting on a weekday would be a better choice.

Very vast in width..you can park car and there will be some walking distance to the fall...in between there are many shops which sells bamboo handicrafts and other decorative items.
Beautiful Waterfall specially During Monsoon. You need to walk for 3 to 5 minutes from parking place to see this.
Looks sunning from a distance and panoramic view is awesome.
Approach road is narrow and Parking is a issue on crowded day. So take care of these situations during monsoon weekends.

Dandi Beach is one of the cleanest beach in the Arabian sea. This beach is prominent as Mahatma Gandhi led the salt Satyagraha from Sabarmati ashram to Dandi. This is the beach where Bapu broke the salt tax law of the British after the Salt March.
The beach is huge, clean and great for picnics. There are horse and camel rides available here and also Thar ride.

We visited this place after hearing about it from many people. They have developed this beach, it is much much cleaner when compared to other nearby like tithal. Kids love to play here.
The best part is they have changing rooms, shower rooms & public washrooms. This is a good beach to spend 3 to 4 hrs together with family.
The beach is ok with nice sunset views but they do need to place some rubbish bins and encourage people to use them
To help keep clean and tidy.
Also if would be nice if they could place more of them parasols and more shade so that people can sit under them and relax.

The water was kind of muddy, but you can chill under the tree, which are at the shore, there were also other activities to do like camel or horse riding, trampoline for children, small four wheel ride, and many more...
But after swimming in sea, we didn't find normal water to bathe anywhere, they should provide it for some money atleast...

There are lots of small stalls and vendors selling boiled corn, Maggi, and other snacks, making it a typical beach-y food experience.
A little ahead of the beach, there’s a super famous spot for Gujarati bhajiyas (fritters), especially during monsoons and winters. You’ll find bhajiyas made of rataru (yam), tomatoes, onions, and even mixed ones. People even visit on Sunday mornings just for bhajiya breakfast!
Apart from all this, Dumas is also a popular long-drive spot for Surti folks who just want to escape the city’s hustle for a bit. Lately, a bunch of cute cafes have also opened nearby like Nomads, Social Blend, Kissa, Deiro, Petra, etc. with chill vibes and good ambience.

The restoration is done beautifully and the place is full of Surat’s history — from stories of trade with Europeans in the 1600s to fascinating artifacts. I was surprised to learn that the fortifications actually started in the late 1300s.
What made my visit even more special was meeting Mr. Sumesh Modi, the historian-architect researched the fort and led its restoration. Listening to him talk about the history and the behind-the-scenes restoration process made the visit unforgettable.
Highly recommend spending 2–3 hours here. It’s a perfect way to explore Surat’s rich heritage and admire its stunning architecture.
This reconstructed fort is in good condition. Entry fee is rs100/-per person. Open at 10am close at 5pm. Very nice fort to see with family and friends. There is various types of musiums in the fort ie canons pistols coins sculptures ancient War things wardrobes etc. Though this fort is in guirat sultan time it get value in English reign. They reboot strong fort here. This is first English factory in India. Price worthy place to visit.
The restoration work was massive. The place is like a museum itself with many artifacts. But you cannot roam freely as you wish even if you want a picture you don't have time as oftenly they force you to continue the visit. There are many restricted areas in outside places whereby only outside front view of the fort is allowed. It was good as a museum visit but I wanted to see the core structure of a 5 century old castle and fort which they denied access for security issues as some parts are still under renovation which I can understand but for restricted outer space I think it mainly because they don't want you to see the small slum behind the fort or garbages. Overall good experience but can still improve.
I went to the fort without any expectations as it looked small compared to forts in Rajasthan or Maharashtra. There is an entry ticket of 100INR. The Govt. has done a fabulous job of renovating and maintaining the fort. Once you enter the fort, follow the instructions of the security guard and visit each room in that order. The fort has beautiful collections of coins, stamps, ivory, furniture, jewellery, etc. in the different rooms. The history of the fort is shown in a video at the start as well as a display with information and pictures.

Nareshwar is Serene place temple of Shri Rang Avdhut Maharaj. It is basically a spritual place. Its on the bank of holy river Narmada making it a memorable site. Here you can take bath but many time administration closes it. Today on 08 june 2025 people were taking bath. Maybe at time of rush it get closed.

If you are visiting the statue of unity then plan one day for this temple. It's approximately 40 kms from ekta nagar railway station and takes 2 hrs to reach the location. This temple is very huge and mainly for Swaminarayan. However, there are other deities as well. The temple is at the bank of Narmada river. The temple has serene vibes and is very peaceful. The architectural design of the temple is marvelous. There is Kuber temple at the other side of the Narmada river which can be reached by boat. There is shoe locker facility. Also, many shops for buying worship items. Big food court is available and having many varieties. There are kids play zone area on the other side of the temple which is also big. This palace was built in 1890 in the Indo-Saracenic style. It is said that this palace is four times larger than Buckingham Palace! Its huge doors, beautiful windows and intricate carvings will amaze you.
Interior splendor:
The interior work of the palace is truly amazing. The flooring, exotic tiles, murals and colorful glass windows of the 'Darbar Hall' are a sight to behold. The museum section houses a collection of rare items and weapons of the Gaekwad family, which will take you back in time.
Vast grounds:
The vast and lush garden of the palace gives immense peace. The small golf course behind the palace adds to its grandeur. The atmosphere here is very peaceful and beautiful in the evening.
My experience:
I have visited this palace many times, and every time I am happy to see the maintenance here. An audio guide facility is also available to explain the art and history inside to the tourists, which is very helpful. This is a special place for families, history lovers and architecture students.
Tip:
Photography enthusiasts should visit here early in the morning or before sunset.
It was the best experience ever.. such a nice palace Laxmi Vilas Palace, Vadodara..A good, nice palace with equally huge gardens and its own golf course.. they have cricket academy also.. and LVP garba is most famous in here.. Though only a very very small part of the entire palace is open for public display. They have good AV and give you the Device with earphones to listen to the entire history & details about the Palace, its history, Royal Family and many things. It goes on and on for more than 2 hrs. However, we took 1 hour to explore whole palace.. They have a nice small cafe inside..

There are some places in the premises that needs a lot of restoration and the exterior needs some renovation work and painting.
It rained a lot that day so we had to rush back from the lawn area.
Overall a well spent outing which can be completed in an hour or a little more.

Beautiful place to visit. No regrets. It takes 2 hours to fully explore the palace. The audio guide is included in the ticket. So keep your tickets safely and don't lose them. To collect the audio guide show your ticket in the office administration and tell them the preferred language. The first point of the start of the palace is the statue near the Golf lawn. Don't miss the painting which is at the exit, before that you have to submit the audio guide and take sign.

It's is nice place to visit. Their is a zoo, lots of different gardens and meusium. Also you can enjoy joy train which take tour of whole garden. It is a good place to visit in vadodara. It has lot of greenery and beautiful flower gardens you will really enjoy it. However zoo requires little maintenance and cleanness.
This is free garden but for viewing zoo, there is fee of Rs.80, quite big area covered, lot of Space, plenty trees, enough seating places, walking strip from which you can scroll through. This Garden is in Vadodara & easily accessible & available in the heart of city.

Only negative is that there’s a buggy car with 20 INR per person ride, since no one around they took 100 INR for us 3 as no one was taking buggy.
On asking how many minutes, counter lady told 15/18 minutes and once we sat on buggy, in exactly 9 minutes he got us back. We felt cheated but they didn’t bother.
Toy Train also had big waiting for train parked and lots of kids and family disappointed
The Sayaji garden is having a very big distance walking track to enjoy morning people from nearby areas preferably visit here for morning and evening walk. The park is fully filled with different fruit and flowers plants in the Garden area. This was a great experience to visit this place.The sayaji garden area having very big watch which shows accurate timing . I am very happy and prefer to visit this Garden at the time of weekends with kid.

The development has happened in last ten 10 years to reduce the congestion in the road. However noting has changed much since it is opposite to RS, still traffic can't be managed. However infrastructure is better than old one. The bus station is very spacious with a large waiting area. Many small stalls & branded shop are available for shopping along with known food stalls. There are entertainment zones, shopping zones, exhibition zones, food zones available for passangers. The state owned public transport facilities provided by GSRTS. The parking area is good & well maintained.
Wonderfully built and thoughtfully designed place. And you get all the flexibility in bus schedules because all bus routes available at all times. No complaint. Wherever you want to go, you can have a ride in time. Volvo, sleeper and all. Inquiry response is also straightforward and clean. Waiting space is so neat and impeccable... Plus food is good, too 😍
Very nice Bus stand. Maintenance can be improved more but I will give it 5 stars as it is very well managed. Buses are running on time, very good sitting arrangement, lots of shops for eatries, washrooms are clean. However it could be made a world class station by making it more clean and organized.
This is one of the most crowded bus depots in the state, only behind gitamandir bus depot in Ahmedabad. This is one of the busiest also. Buses from almost across the state comes here.
The main place to catch GSRTC buses to various places in Gujarat and some places in Rajasthan, Madhya pradesh and Maharashtra. Cleanliness is being maintained by the staff. There are outlets selling food and other stuffs here.

1. The guards were very polite and humble to talk to.
2. There are many sculptures, and I request people not to touch them.
3. The gurudwara is one of its kind. Do not miss it.

5. You have to submit your identity proof. They will return it once you are done with your exit. There is no charge or fees.

The temple is unique with main deity as Dakshineshwar Shiva in form of Shiv Murti (rather than linga). The temple is located within the premises maintained by Indian Army and hence entry is regulated where you need to carry an Identity Card (License, PAN, Aadhar or such). Needless to mention that being maintained by Army it is very clean and crowd is managed well. The temple premises have various small shrines of multiple gods, Navgraha, Ganpati, Sai Baba, Buddha, etc.

If you are riding 2 wheeler, helmet is cumpolsary for all travellers otherwise you need to park outside the entry point and go by walk.
Temple timing: 5:30 am to 08:30 pm.

This place is like a heaven. During raining 🌧️ the surrounding nature is looks very beautiful.
🚫 Some devotees do not pay attention on cleaness and they throw different types of polythene bags, plastic bottles, papers etc. on foot steps.
There is not too many wastage basket for waste storage. Temple authority and Gujarat government should pay attention on cleaness and waste management issues on this place. There should be cleaness awareness poster on some places.
It is very old temple of Mahakali Mata. It is developed during the period of 2020 to 2024. New constructed temple is very spacious.
The idol of Mahakali was installed in the 11‑12th century, with renovations over time under different dynasties and rulers.

It is spiritual place with beutiful view. Ropeway facility is there with online booking. Private car and government buses are there for travling from parking to machi and from machi you can reach to the temple by ropeway.

🚶 On Foot – For those who enjoy trekking, you can also reach the temple by climbing on foot.
🚗 Reaching the Temple:
On weekdays, you can drive your own vehicle directly up to the temple parking area.
On weekends, private vehicles are not allowed beyond Pavagarh bus stop. You’ll need to take a bus from there to the temple base.
It’s a blend of spiritual vibes and scenic beauty—perfect for a family outing! 🌸
Excellent experience - both spiritual and for the view. Current one has to climb about 300-400 steps to reach the temple despite taking the ropeway. But it appears that this ropeway is being extended to almost the top just near the temple and only a few steps will remain to be climbed. The darshan was easy, the view mesmerising and the experience elevating.

Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park is A UNESCO World Heritage. It is a unique blend of Hindu, Jain, and Islamic heritage, centered around the 8th-century city of Champaner and Pavagadh Hill. It was founded by Vanraj Chavda, and later ruled by Rajput Chauhans until 1484, when Sultan Mahmud Begada captured it, and renamed Muhammadabad. He built mosques, palaces, and water systems here. He made it capital of Gujarat until it's decline due to Mughal attack in 1536. This site was recognized in 2004 which features 114 monuments, including the Kalika Mata Temple, a major hindu pilgrimage center, the architecturally significant Jama Masjid, and innovative stepwells, showcasing a rare pre-Mughal Islamic city. Its cultural synthesis, historical significance, and intact landscape turn it into a vital archaeological and spiritual site, though it is partly unexcavated and less tourist-friendly due to limited infrastructure you should definitely visit if you want to explore somewhere less crowded.
This site is mainly having two parts: one is Jami masjid and another is Saher ki masjid. Both were built by mahmud begada in between 1484-1536. However later Humayun (Moughal Emperor) looted and invaded the place. One can visit the site to see old archeology and some photoshoots too.

The craftsmanship of the old workers is nothing short of extraordinary. Every stone, pillar, and arch tells a story of skill and dedication. Walking through the site, we could feel the royal vibes – like stepping into the shoes of a prince wandering through his grand kingdom.
The atmosphere is calm and filled with positive energy. It’s a perfect getaway for anyone who appreciates history, architecture, and tranquil surroundings. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply connected to the past.

I recently visited the Dinosaur Fossil Park and Museum in Rayoli as part of a bike riding trip with friends. The park is a great destination for school trips and families with kids. It offers a decent educational experience, showcasing the history of dinosaurs through projector displays and exhibits.
There’s also a 5D theatre that aims to give an immersive experience of the dinosaur era. While it was an interesting addition, it didn’t quite meet expectations in terms of quality and excitement.
One major downside was the way the actual dinosaur fossils were stored — they seemed to be kept in a rather neglected and poorly maintained area, which was disappointing considering the importance of the artifacts.
Overall, it's a nice spot for a quick visit, especially for children and school groups, but there’s definitely room for improvement in terms of presentation and maintenance. I’d rate it around 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Recently visited the Dinosaur Fossil Park and Museum in Balasinor, about 2.5 hours' drive from Ahmedabad, and it was an eye-opening experience. It’s incredible to see the actual fossil remains and dinosaur bones from what was once one of the largest dinosaur nesting sites in the world. We visited the Balasinor Dinosaur Fossil Park just 2 days back with family, and it was an amazing experience — especially for kids!
Located in Raiyoli village near Balasinor, Gujarat, this place is famously known as the "Jurassic Park of India." It is recognized as one of the world's largest dinosaur hatcheries, where over 10,000 fossilized dinosaur eggs have been discovered. Even now, excavations often uncover new fossils and remains.
The park has several sections showcasing the history of dinosaurs through 3D presentations, information kiosks, and well-curated displays. The 5D show and VR experience were the best part of the visit — thoroughly enjoyable for both kids and adults!
There are also food stalls, ample parking space, and souvenir shops with dinosaur-themed products for children.
Entry Fee: ₹70 per person. (Other fees are there like 5D,VR etc, overall 400 rs)
Overall, it's a perfect one-day outing spot for families — educational, fun, and unique. If you're visiting Gujarat, this place is definitely worth adding to your itinerary!
Nice place for one time visit. It's one of the three fossil parks in the world. But not maintained at all. No value of this precious fossils in open area. Museum is also very well made but not maintained like that. Washrooms are not very much cleaned. 5d theatre and chairs also not maintained. Waste of money in 5d & VR tickets.

They have shop at exit point, shop is okay okay type. Good place for children not for adults hang out

I visited Manek Chowk in Ahmedabad during a corporate trip. It’s near Jama Masjid and Delhi Gate and famous as a late-night food market open until 1 or 2 a.m. We went there because most of Ahmedabad closes by 8–9 p.m., unlike Delhi which stays lively late. Honestly, the experience was underwhelming. The area is crowded, but there are only 8–10 food carts, mostly selling the same items like bhaji pav, pulao, kaju pulao, small pizzas, and some South Indian snacks. Everything is served on plastic chairs and tables in open air, and hygiene seemed low.
The only highlight for us was the jamun fruit shots they were really fresh and tasty. Overall, if you want a full dining experience, I wouldn’t recommend it. But if you just want to experience the local late-night food vibe in Ahmedabad, it’s worth a quick visit.

Tried Mysore Masala Dosa, Manchurian Noodles, and Cold Coco — would rate them 1/5, 1/5, and 3/5 respectively.
The dosa was a disaster — dripping with oil, almost fried. Someone, a decade ago, probably decided to fuse sweet curd/lassi with masala dosa, and people just went along. It’s honestly the murder of authentic South Indian food. Sambhar was just average.
The noodles tasted like ₹10 roadside fare — overly salty, with small-length noodles. The Manchurian was extremely dry, halved pieces resembling soy chunks.
Every food outlet seemed to serve the same mediocre stuff, just under different names. And the crowd — chaotic, overcrowded, barely space to stand.Even Fish Market is less noisy then this place. Prices are also overhyped and unjustified for the quality offered.
For a tourist, I’d strongly recommend skipping this so-called “iconic” Manek Chowk. Ahmedabad has better and cleaner places to enjoy local flavours.

I went to Sabarmati Riverfront early in the morning during my exam days, and it turned out to be a very relaxing experience. The place is calm, the sound of the river waves is very soothing, and the cool morning breeze makes it even better.
Ahmedabad can be quite hot, so visiting this place in the morning felt really peaceful. There’s a metro station around 2 km away, so it’s also easy to reach. The main riverfront area is open 24/7, but if you want to visit the Atal Bridge or garden area, they open after 9 AM.
There are trees all around, and you can even find bicycles nearby to ride, though they are a bit costly. Still, it’s a good experience, especially for visitors from outside the city.
Overall, a great spot for a quiet walk or just to sit and relax in the fresh air.
The riverfront is very beautiful and it is very peaceful during non-peak hours. I visited during early morning hours and I saw people cycling and jogging on the promenade. The river was very calm and greenery was lush. The infrastructure developed by the government there is very well maintained. The walking space is huge and very picturesque. The long riverfront offers ample space to exercise, cycle, run and walk. The place is also clean and not littered by plastic. I also saw a river cleaning boat gathering trash that was thrown in river during early hours.

Every year Kite festival is organized at this place during 14-January week. It's runs for 4 days approximately. During day there are people from different countries participating their kite flying skill. During evening there is cultural programs. Parking is not available at this event place. Laden is 2-3km far near the flower park. Is wish a visit. There's food court, wash rooms and drinking water facility.
The place is very beautiful with a proper cleanliness maintained throughout. Here their was few public entertainment thing here like the bicycle ride and other things.
The river is also very neat and clean. The police persons also take rounds continuously through the river front for security. 0

Amongst the 300 plus menu of mechanical extravaganza, some noted ones stand out; the car that was used in the movie Gandhi and the first May Bach ever made. Visitors can also find rare and wonderful assemblage of vehicles including a Bentley, Lagonda, Rolls Royce, Cadillac, Austin, Jaguar, Mercedes and Auburns. The 1923 Rolls 20 HP with a typical shooting brake-body by Barker is one of the most fascinating cars from the Rolls Royce cache. The museum has also found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for this amazing collection.
Brief History: Pranlal Bhogilal started the Auto World Museum in his private estate of 2200 acres, Dastan, in 1927, and earned the Guinness Book of World Record listing in 1987 as the owner of the world's largest private garage. An enthusiast for many years, Bhogilal collected over 204 cars of which 105 are in Ahmedabad. He ensured that all cars were in running condition. Pranlal Bhogilal passed away in 2011 at the age of 73. It is said that in 2006, Ulrich Schmid-Maybach of the illustrious Maybach family flew down to Ahmedabad from Germany to convince Pranlal Bhogilal to sell him a 6-cylinder Maybach that was designed by his grandfather. Bhogilal refused to part with this treasure.

The vintage car museum for automotive enthusiasts. If you want to bring mobile or camera inside for photography, you need to pay for it. They have huge collection of many cars including but not limited to BMW, Rolls royce, Bentley, Mercedes benz, Chevrolet and many more. The property is huge and maintained very well. They have added the information plate in front of each car with make-model, year and country. You will get the details of princely states who were using these cars as well. Worth to explore once.
There is a wide range of vintage cars, all shown in one place. Over 100 cars.
However the condition of vehicles could be improved as cars had paintwork issues or metal trim with rust spots.
The staff were also unhelpful (not rude, but not welcoming) and you also need to pay for a special ticket to be allowed ti take photos.
There is a member of staff following you around to ensure that only the people who have paid to take photos use a single device.
Overall, worth a visit, especially considering the low entry cost.
I visited this museum last month with my college alumni, and it was a memorable experience! The museum has an incredible collection of cars dating back to the late 1800s and early 1900s. From bullock-cart type cars to classic beauties from prestigious global brands, every vehicle is displayed with proper details like the year, maker, and country.
They also have iconic Indian cars such as the original Tata Nano and Maruti 800, along with a few vintage motorcycles. As an automobile enthusiast, I absolutely loved walking through the history and evolution of four-wheelers. It was fascinating to see how massive and beautifully designed old cars were compared to today’s compact models. The craftsmanship and design truly reflect the art and engineering of their time.
Tickets are required both for entry and for using your mobile camera. Initially, I felt the pricing was slightly on the higher side, but after seeing the rare collection and the way they’ve maintained these vehicles, it felt worth it. Do note that only one phone is allowed per photo ticket, security guards are present at every corner, and video recording is not allowed.
👉 Best time to visit is around lunchtime, as there is a Vintage Theam Restaurant inside the premises where you can enjoy a nice meal. That way you can easily spend an entire afternoon exploring cars and relaxing over food.
Overall, it was a crazy and satisfying experience. A must-visit for families, friends, and especially petrolheads who will appreciate every detail. Highly recommended!

Had an amazing one-day picnic with friends at Zanjari Waterfall! 🌿💦 The place is absolutely beautiful, especially during the monsoon season — truly a must-visit. The waterfall looks stunning, but do stay away from getting too close to the water during monsoon as the flow is very strong and can be risky.
We enjoyed some hot Maggi near the waterfall which made the experience even better. There were also camel rides nearby, which added a fun touch to the trip. You can also visit the Utkanteshwar Mahadev Temple, which is close by and worth seeing.
One small tip: carry your own snacks and drinking water, as there are no major restaurants on the way to the waterfall.
Overall, it was a wonderful day out in nature, and I’d highly recommend this spot for a short getaway with family or friends. 🌧️🌲

Do carry an ample supply of drinking water and food, as there are no shops or refreshment stalls available in the vicinity. The area is largely untouched and remote, which adds to its charm but also calls for basic preparation.
Be prepared for a moderate trek of approximately 3-4 kilometers. The walk through nature is truly rejuvenating, though certain sections of the path can become quite slippery due to rain, so proper footwear is strongly recommended. A camel ride is available near the entry point and adds a unique, enjoyable element to the visit especially for families or those looking for something different.

Visited Zanzari Waterfall during the rainy season and it was a beautiful experience 🌿💦
The walk to reach the waterfall is quite long, but if you don’t want to walk much, you can also take a camel ride – I paid ₹400 for 2 people. The place feels very refreshing and peaceful once you reach the falls.

Such beautiful view and this place is for those people who likes to track because you have to travel by walk approximately 2/2.5 km from vehicle parking and as per name waterfall was not so much big but i think this was a peaceful location to enjoy. A very peaceful and enjoyable place for one day trip, can spend the whole day in the nature then go there, just don’t go very near to the waterfall as there have been many accidents in the past where people have lost their lives. But if you stay safely then its a very good place to be at. Loved the vibe also you can get Maggie there as well. Village people will be there selling Maggie and tea. Avoid taking the camle ride coz it’s not that far from the parking lot.
