Tithal Beach

Public beach
Outdoor Activities
Beaches
Tranquil shoreline on the Arabian Sea offering a concrete boardwalk & dark sand.
Tithal Beach is a clean and calm place with its unique black, shining sand and plenty of sea shells to collect. I visited this beach with my family last weekend, but unfortunately, I didn’t get much time to spend here as we had to head to another place. The beach has good parking facilities, with a nominal charge of around ₹10-₹20. There’s also a small bazaar on the beach offering a variety of food options. A must-try is the star fruit served with spicy chaat masala—it’s a perfect balance of sweet and sour! You can also find boiled coconut and corn, which are great local snacks. For children, there are vendors with small toy cars, and for those looking for more adventure, camel and horse rides are available. One of the highlights of my visit was a massive sand drawing of Lord Shiva on the beach, which was truly impressive! Overall, Tithal Beach is a great spot to relax and enjoy some local flavors. Would love to visit again with more time to explore!

Very good, and clean beach. Sand is black and is very fine. Good to build sand castles. Very little undercurrent on the beach makes it very safe. Place can be a bot better lit. Become too dark, as soon as sun is set. There can be better food and beverage options, other than small tea and snacks shops.

Tithal Beach offers the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy a peaceful evening. The soothing sound of the waves crashing against the shore creates a calming atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to relax and clear your mind. If you're a photography enthusiast, the sunset here is nothing short of spectacular, with vibrant hues painting the sky and reflecting on the water. The scene is truly eye-catching and a treat for both the eyes and the soul. Whether you're looking to capture stunning photographs or simply enjoy nature’s beauty, Tithal Beach is the place to be for an unforgettable evening.

A very good place for a one day outing. Amenities: Some snacks stores, toys stores, 🌽 shops, battery operated car bike rides for kids. It has paid car parking at a cost of ₹20 as of June 2025. There are paid wash/shower/changing rooms available besides the parking lot where you can get fresh water shower after being into the salty sea water.

We visited Tithal Beach in Valsad during the summer holidays in May 2025, and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable experiences for our entire family. Despite the summer heat, the cool sea breeze, the soothing sound of waves, and the scenic beauty made the trip extremely refreshing and memorable. Tithal Beach is located just a few kilometers from Valsad city and is easily accessible by road. We reached in the early morning, which gave us the perfect opportunity to enjoy the sunrise over the black sand beach. The morning sunlight reflecting on the gentle waves created a magical atmosphere. We had a lot of fun at the beach – playing in the water, splashing with the waves, and building sandcastles with the kids. The unique black sand added a special charm to the whole experience. Children were especially thrilled and didn’t want to leave the water. Everyone in the family thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful and fun-filled time at the shore. There were many local food stalls near the beach offering delicious snacks like bhajiyas, sweet waffles, coconut water, bhel, and batata vadas, which kept us refreshed throughout the day. The cleanliness of the beach and the maintenance by the local authorities is commendable. Parking space was easily available, and basic facilities like washrooms were also present, making the experience comfortable. We clicked many beautiful pictures and created lasting memories. The calm and natural setting of Tithal Beach provided not just fun but also peace of mind. Even with the weekend crowd, the beach had enough space to relax and enjoy without feeling too busy. Overall, our trip to Tithal Beach was a perfect combination of nature, relaxation, and enjoyment. Whether you're looking for a short picnic, some quality family time, or just a peaceful walk by the sea, Tithal Beach offers it all. We’ve already decided to visit again soon, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refreshing beachside getaway in South Gujarat.

A Perfect blend of nature and sophistication. Everything here be it service, cleanliness, staff behaviour is just too good. Food at their restaurant was a class above, be it any category. Overall, an awesome resort worth revisiting!

Google One of the best resorts near Daman Beach! The rooms and bathrooms were exceptionally neat, clean, and spacious, providing a truly comfortable stay. Giving all 5 stars The hospitality was top-notch, from the reception to the waitstaff, every team member was polite, courteous and professional. The swimming pool was well-maintained and hygienic...

I had stayed here for 1 night. The rooms are great. Food is also great. The only problem I had was that I was charged for whisky glasses which I ordered in my room. The room service told me as I had brought my drinks from outside, they will charge for the glass.

Great staff! Very helpful, especially while we were travelling with a 2 year old. The rooms had everything I could ask for too.

Mirasol Resort, Daman is a very nice place for a family holiday. It's a huge property with rooms, a huge hall and a dining area. It's also a place for a destination wedding. The property also has a swimming pool, lake, train and boating rides, water park and restaurant. The people are friendly (with no artificial smiles). The rooms are adequate with a clean bed. The bathroom and toilet are clean with necessary toiletries. The food was tasty and authentic. There is scope for improving WiFi facilities.
Dr. R — Google review
We stayed at Mirasol Resort last weekend, and it was a very bad experience for us. We had booked a stay for 3 days, and every day we faced issues with the room key — sometimes the key wouldn't work, and other times there were problems with the lock. Even after paying ₹8000 per room per night, the hotel charges extra for basic things like an extra glass or ice cubes. The housekeeping service only cleans the room; they don't even replace the dental kits. When we asked for a glass without charge, the staff spoke to us very rudely #mirasol

Staff very adamant ... On refilling empty bottles, they refused refill it through ro water ... Check in time is 2 pm &check out time is 10 am ... Which is so unfair, on requeston extending it till 12 noon, they refused to extend it till 12 ... In that also, they are arguing till 11 am ... Property is good, food is excellent with too many varieties ... But the staff is too arrogant

Devka Beach is a picturesque shoreline with numerous food stalls, bars, and options for camel or horse-riding. Visitors can also find shops and hotels in the vicinity. However, it's important to note that the area is currently undergoing significant construction work as part of a smart city project - leading to high pollution levels and dust that may not be suitable for tourists. As such, it may be better to avoid visiting Devka Beach until construction work is completed by June 22nd.
One of the most beautiful place in daman. Must visit during night n evening ..Devka Beach in Daman is truly one of the best beaches in India! With its wide shoreline, cool breeze, and stunning sea views, it's a perfect destination for families, couples, or anyone looking to unwind by the ocean. The beach is clean, well-maintained, and has recently become even more exciting with the addition of the new toy train attraction..

Although I didn't go near the water as I found the sand and water dirty n water muddy. The jogging path has been developed beautifully with broad clean roads n street lights. There are many restaurants along the corniche area . At the weekends, there are DJ playing music. Enjoyed our time there. Ample free parking area . The corniche area has been developed at least for a good 3 to 4 kilometers. Families drive down and come in the evenings to enjoy the cool sea breeze.

During our recent trip to Daman, we spent some time at Devka Beach, one of the most well-known spots in the area. The experience was a mix of natural beauty, leisure, and relaxation, perfectly suited for a laid-back Sunday. The beach stretches wide with its rocky shoreline and greyish sand, giving it a unique character compared to the more commercial beaches elsewhere. On the day we visited, the weather was cloudy and slightly humid, with the sound of waves hitting the rocks creating a calm and soothing atmosphere. The breeze made it an enjoyable walk along the promenade, and the views of the Arabian Sea were refreshing despite the overcast skies. The beach area is lively, attracting a good number of tourists and locals alike. Families, groups of friends, and children added to the cheerful atmosphere. Along the stretch, there are small stalls offering quick snacks and beverages, making it easy to grab a bite while enjoying the view. The nearby Devka Amusement Park, though modest, adds a recreational element, especially for those visiting with children. While the beach is not ideal for swimming due to its rocky terrain and strong currents, it makes up for it with its serene walks, open views, and vibrant ambiance. Watching the waves crash against the stones and feeling the sea breeze was a simple yet fulfilling experience. In the evening, the place becomes even livelier with tourists flocking for the sunset view. Although the skies were cloudy during our visit, the atmosphere itself was enjoyable. Overall, Devka Beach is more about relaxation and soaking in the seaside charm rather than adventure. For those looking to unwind in Daman, it is certainly a spot worth visiting.

Devka Beach – The beautiful beach of Daman, is one of the most popular beaches in Daman, known for its peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty. Situated on the shores of the Arabian Sea, this beach is a great place for tourists, where the cool sea breeze, soft sand and gently falling waves give peace to the mind. The sunset view on this beach is especially amazing in the evening. The colors of the sky and the reflection of the sun falling on the sea surface give a unique feeling. There are many hotels, resorts, and food stalls available around Devka Beach, where you can enjoy local as well as various delicious dishes, parking facilities are good on Beas Road Devka Beach is not only a place for relaxation, but also for spending time with the family, photography, and walking along the beach. Small games and entertainment facilities are also available for children. Many tourists enjoy the views while sitting on the beach and sipping coffee or coconut water. If you visit Daman, definitely include Devka Beach in your travel list.

Devka Beach is located in Daman, a coastal town popular for weekend getaways from Gujarat and Maharashtra. I visited it during my short trip with my friends to relax by the sea and explore the local food stalls. If I were to summarise: Devka Beach is good for a relaxed seaside outing, especially around evening, for walks, sunset views. My overall Visit is very beautiful and good.

Jampore Beach is a nice and calm spot to relax. The sand feels a bit muddy, but the beach is clean and easily accessible via steps. You’ll find plenty of horses around if you’re interested in rides or photos. Great place for a peaceful outing.
Dhananjay J — Google review
Iur visit to Jampore Beach in Daman was one of the most enjoyable parts of the trip, offering a refreshing mix of seaside charm, relaxation, and local flavor. Unlike the rocky stretches of Devka Beach, Jampore has a much wider and smoother shoreline, making it ideal for walking, sitting by the water, and enjoying the sea breeze. On the day we visited, the weather was pleasant, though slightly humid, with gentle waves lapping against the shore. The expansive beach and calm surroundings created a soothing environment where we could unwind after a busy schedule. The atmosphere was lively, with tourists and families scattered across the stretch, yet it retained a sense of openness that didn’t feel crowded. Jampore Beach is also known for its small eateries and stalls, and we enjoyed some quick bites and refreshing drinks while gazing at the sea. The casual, laid-back vibe makes it an excellent spot to spend quality time with colleagues, friends, or family. A few adventure activities were also available, but we preferred to keep it simple, walking barefoot on the sand and soaking in the natural serenity. One highlight of our visit was relaxing at the beachside shacks, sipping on cool beverages, and letting the sea breeze take away the fatigue of travel. Watching the waves and engaging in light conversations made the experience even more memorable. As the day progressed, the beach grew livelier, with more tourists coming in to enjoy the late afternoon. In all, Jampore Beach is a must-visit in Daman if you are looking for a calm yet vibrant seaside escape. With its clean stretch, good food options, and easygoing vibe, it perfectly captures the coastal charm of this small yet lively city.

Although the beach looked dirty but the joggers' path or the corniche area looked pretty decent. A lot of construction is still in progress to pave the walking path. Cleanliness needs to be improved. The life guards were not permitting visitors to go in the beach area as due to monsoon, the beach was rough. A lot of entries are there n ample parking space.

Jampore Beach is a serene coastal escape, located about 5 km from Moti Daman Jetty, known for its soft, often blackish or muddy-hued sand and tranquil vibes — a perfect retreat from city life Lined with casuarina or palm-like groves, it offers plenty of shade, making it excellent for leisurely strolls, picnics, and sunsets at any time from late afternoon to evening. Plenty of options offering both veg and non-veg delights — from vada pav, bhel, corn chaat to pomfret fry, prawns, and even coconut water with vodka — all at affordable prices

Deer Park is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The entry fee is ₹100 per Indian visitor. Visitors are taken into the park by the facility’s own bus, which adds to the convenience. The ride and tour take about 30 to 40 minutes in total. Inside the park, you can see around 400 to 500 deer roaming freely in their natural habitat. The surroundings are serene, clean, and well-maintained. Loud sounds are not allowed, which helps maintain the calm and quiet atmosphere. Overall, it’s a great spot for nature lovers, families, and anyone looking for a relaxing break amidst wildlife.
Pinakin P — Google review
Satmaliya Deer Park is a hidden gem for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. Located a short drive away from the main city, the park provides a serene escape into the wilderness, making it a perfect spot for a peaceful yet exciting day out. However, visitors should note that the park remains closed on Mondays, so planning ahead is essential. The lush greenery surrounding the park adds to its charm, creating a natural habitat where deer roam freely, making it an excellent destination for families, photographers, and anyone looking to experience wildlife up close. The entry ticket is reasonably priced at around INR 150 per person, which includes a guided bus tour inside the park. The bus ride is the only way to explore the area, as walking inside is not permitted. The vehicle is open-sided, allowing for a better view of the animals, but the number of window seats is limited. It is highly recommended to board early and grab a good spot to enjoy the best views. The journey through the park is well-organized, with stops at key locations where herds of deer are commonly found. The guide provides useful insights about the different species, making the experience both informative and engaging. Once inside, visitors are greeted with the incredible sight of numerous deer of various species. The park is home to an impressive collection, ranging from spotted deer (chital) to majestic antelopes with large, curved horns. Some of the deer appear quite curious, often gazing at the passing bus, while others remain focused on their meals, calmly chewing on grass and leaves. The sight of an entire herd resting or grazing together is truly mesmerizing. The park’s natural setting, with its vast open spaces and dense vegetation, ensures that the deer are comfortable and not confined to artificial enclosures, allowing for a more authentic wildlife experience. The entire tour lasts around 20–25 minutes, but every second is worth it. It's rare to witness such a large number of deer in one place, making it a memorable outing. Children, in particular, will love the experience of seeing these gentle creatures up close, making it an ideal destination for a family trip. The park’s well-maintained environment, combined with the thrilling bus ride and the close encounters with wildlife, make it a must-visit attraction. If you're in Silvassa, don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy a delightful wildlife adventure!

Great place. Lots of deers. Can be viewed from close distance. By special safari bus. But if you are going in monsoon please check as the park may be closed in monsoon since there no paved/tar road inside. Currently it is re-opened after this year's monsoon (of 2025).

Dugarwadi Waterfall is a stunning natural attraction located near Nashik in Maharashtra, India. It's known for its tall cascade that flows over a rocky cliff amidst lush greenery and mountains. Accessible via a short hike through a scenic trail, the waterfall offers a tranquil setting for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts to escape the city life. The trek down to the waterfall takes about 2 hours and can be steep and slippery, so it's recommended to wear proper shoes and carry water.
The Dugarwadi Trek is a delightful escape into nature, perfect for a short and refreshing outing. The trek to the base of the waterfall takes around 1 hour 30 minutes at a relaxed pace, with plenty of opportunities to stop, click pictures, and soak in the serene surroundings. The return journey takes about an hour. The view from the bottom of the waterfall is absolutely stunning, making every step of the trek worthwhile. The path can get slippery near the rocks and waterfall, so wearing sturdy, good-grip footwear is highly recommended for safety. Overall, it’s a peaceful and scenic trek, ideal for nature lovers and anyone looking to unwind for a few hours.

Just perfect! Best place with full of greenery with beauty of waterfall Some tips: 1. Go early in morning as possible because there is disturbance of anyone 2. After entering the main entrance you will feel we are going in wrong direction and you will loose your motivation because of very very scary forest when you are alone but don't do that just follow route and you will reach to waterfall 3. There are no any wild creatures that we found so I think you are safe to go 4. Going with little children or with ladies is little scary so try to avoid it

Nature at it's best. It's little bit difficult to go railing point but view is absolutely good to see specially in rainy 🌧 days. Carry water with you. There is private parking for your vehicles The ticket price for one person is 30 rupees and parking is also 30 rupees. , One of the best waterfall in nashik . If you want to enjoy it go downside near waterfall don't see it from up side . As compare to other waterfalls in nashik this is not much crowded so go and enjoy.

It's a hidden gem of nature behind Tryambak. Road connectivity up to the trekking start point is good. Just the last 1 km of road is bumpy. After walking a 1.2 km beautiful trail, you will reach the waterfall viewpoint. However, to get to the waterfall, you have to undertake a moderate difficult trek of 2.5 km with a steep descent. You have to walk between large boulders. But final view is rewarding and worth your adventure. It's recommended to carry something to eat and 2 water bottels for eachone, if you are going downstream. Also wearing good trekking shoes is recommended. In rainy season, there are chances of rainfall post afternoon, thus morning trek is recommended.

A Hidden Gem of Nature’s Beauty. If you love scenic spots, a bit of adventure, and natural beauty, Dugarwadi Waterfall is a must-visit! Just be careful during the monsoon as the flow can be strong.
Pranav B — Google review
I recently visited Dugarwadi Waterfall, and the experience was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in the lush green hills around 40 km from Nashik, this hidden gem comes alive during the monsoon season and offers an unforgettable escape into nature. 🌿 Trek and Trail Experience: The journey begins with a short drive through picturesque rural roads. From the parking area at Sapgaon, there’s a 1.5 to 2 km trek to reach the waterfall. The trail takes you through dense greenery, gentle slopes, and a few narrow paths. During the monsoon, parts of the trail can be slippery and muddy, so good grip shoes are essential. Along the way, the sound of chirping birds, flowing water, and rustling trees keeps you company — pure therapy for the soul! Towards the end, there’s a small stream crossing (about ankle-deep) and a rocky descent — a little tricky but manageable for anyone moderately fit. The overall trek takes about 30–40 minutes one way, depending on your pace. 💧 The Waterfall Itself: Once you reach, the sight is absolutely breathtaking. The waterfall plunges from a great height in two distinct tiers, surrounded by thick forest cover. The mist in the air, the roaring sound of water crashing onto rocks, and the cool breeze create a surreal atmosphere. It’s one of those places where you just want to sit in silence and soak it all in. Photography lovers will find plenty of scenic spots. But be cautious — the rocks near the fall can be slippery. Avoid going too close to the edge, especially when the water flow is strong. 🧃 Facilities and Local Stalls: There are no proper tourist facilities like washrooms or changing rooms, so come prepared. However, near the trail’s starting point, you’ll find a few local stalls selling tea, corn, vada pav, and water bottles. Prices are reasonable and the hospitality is warm. Also, no entry fee is charged — which makes this a rare, untouched natural retreat. But please be responsible: carry back your trash and avoid playing loud music. Let’s keep this place clean and peaceful. 🚫 Important Tips: Best visited between July to September when the waterfall is in full glory. Avoid visiting after 4 PM as forest officials usually restrict entry post that time. Not recommended for elderly people or toddlers due to the trek. Carry a raincoat, snacks, water, and a small first aid kit just in case. Mobile network is spotty here — which is a blessing if you’re looking to disconnect!

Welcome to the mini heaven in nashik. No wonder people are crazy about this place. It is near from Trimbakeshwar, just take a right from the road which takes you to shiv madir. There is a place for pay and park also you need to pay minor enrty fees. About this place: I have visited in peak mansoon so I definitely felt this place like heaven. There was greenery, very soothing and calming atmosphere all around. You can enjoy nature's beauty and a treck. There is waterfall view point where you can have a look at the waterfall from above and then go down near to the waterfall. Sometimes it gets risky as weater level rises so some care needs to be taken. You can have hot food at the small food spots. I'm sure you will love this place to visit again and again.

Harihar Fort

Harihar Fort, once a stronghold of the Yadava dynasty, now lies in ruins atop a hill. The ascent to the fort involves navigating a 60-meter path of rock-cut steps and steep stone ladders. It's a challenging trek, especially for inexperienced hikers, but the experience is worth it. Accommodation can be found on the fort or in nearby villages. The fort is located near Nashik and is famous for its daunting staircase with an incline of over 70 degrees.
Harihar Fort is a unique and thrilling trekking destination near Nashik, Maharashtra. The fort is famous for its almost vertical staircase carved into the rock, which offers a challenging but exciting climb. The panoramic views from the top are breathtaking, especially during the monsoon and winter seasons when the surrounding greenery is at its best. The trek is moderate to difficult due to the steep steps, but the adventure is worth the effort. It’s a perfect spot for experienced trekkers and those looking for a memorable adrenaline rush.

Maharastra has many treaking places. In that harihar fort should be on top of the list. Perfect timing of visit may propably at the start or at end of the monsoon i sugges at exact end of monsoon with small drizziles with less crowd time. I strongly suggest not to take more valuable particularly backpacks with you while climbing as guardians (monkeys) will check you completely. It may not happen at all times but sometimes they will interept at mid of the steep steps. Dont panic. In the context of refreshments, it has sufficient shops. I would suggest to try maggiee near pond which gives good view and chill weather. Dont confuse with the routes as it has two ways. Ome through public bus which would take you through good forest track. Oher one is private vehicles spot. Where most of the visiters prefer. It is really a good pleasent place for check yourself will power.

Hari Har fort trek is very adventurous and risky/dangerous trek. Me and my friends recently i.e., on 21st October went for trek. before going we have seen lot of videos related to this fort trek and done little bit research about how many steps need to climbed, height of the peak, risk involved, time it takes to reach highest point etc etc before going for trek. One of my friends dropped from the trek plan after seeing the videos. But actual trek was very easy, way was very walk friendly, the 80° steep steps are very much easy to climb, actually you can trek without shoes as well, it will only take 3-4 hours to trek, if someone says this kind of things please don't believe them. If you are adventure lover, body is fit, if you don't smoke cigarettes, then you can go for it. The trek can be divided into two parts, one is from base village to the plateau which is approx 1.6kms-1.8kms, second is from plateau to the highest point/peak through those spine chilling steps, which is approx 1.6kms. The first part of trek is somewhat doable. The second part which is through those steps is most challenging part. I have seen many people went back after seeing those steps. After lot thinking we dared to go forward. When we started climbing steps, the real story started, as steps are 80°, it takes lot of your energy, and people who already went already to top will be coming from same steps, people will stop in the middle for the videos and photos for hours and sometimes they use to us to take and adding to all this monkey will come on to you if u have water bottle, eatables in your hand, with all these difficulties we reached the entry door fort and felt like hammayya only to realise there are few more steps with are not that difficult to climb but while climbing this you will have clear visual to ground which is pleasant for other but scary for people who are scared of heights. after these 40-50 steps its all plains and little bit trek till the top. People who smoke and drink alcohol better stay away from going this trek.

Harihar Fort Trek ❤️ For the love of vertical stairsThe Harihar Fort trek is a moderate-to-challenging hike in Maharashtra's Nashik district, known for its unique, near-vertical rock-cut steps leading to the summit. It is a popular weekend trek, especially for those who want a thrilling experience combined with beautiful views from the top of the triangular fort, built on a rock prism
Ketan B — Google review
one of the most thrilling treks I’ve ever done! The iconic vertical rock-cut stairs are both terrifying and exciting—definitely not for the faint-hearted. The steep climb tests your nerves, but the panoramic views from the top are absolutely worth it. Monsoon adds an extra layer of adventure with mist, slippery paths, and roaring winds. The fort’s unique architecture and the rush of climbing almost vertical steps make it unforgettable. Wear good grip shoes, carry water, and go early. A must-do for adrenaline junkies and experienced trekkers looking for a real challenge!
VISHAL G — Google review
Really a thrilling trek. Up to 80 degree stair easy trek. 80 degree steps up climbing risk level moderate but climbing down risk level high. Please maintain same posture while coming down on rock cut steps as maintained climbing up. So many monkeys so take care. No need to carry much water bottles as up to the top some stores. They are selling Maggie. Lamont sarbat . Water bottles and sweet corn. Keep some energy bar and dry nuts. After reach top wonderful view.

Rahul P — Google review
The 80° steep steps 🪜 are a major attraction of this fort, making the trek slightly challenging due to the steep inclination. There is an entry fee (30 INR per person) that they collect at the entrance of the village. Small snack 🍫 shops are there above and on the way. Handholds are carved into the stairs to provide support, use both your hands while climbing. After climbing 117 almost vertical steps, you will reach the entrance gate of the fort. At the top, trekkers are rewarded with breathtaking views, ancient ruins, and a thrilling sense of adventure. Harihar Fort ⛰️ is a perfect destination for thrill-seekers and nature lovers. Overall, it's an unforgettable experience, especially during the monsoon season. 🌫️🌧️ Note: 1. Before planning your visit, check weather conditions. ☁️🌡️ 2. Try to arrive early in the morning. It will help you avoid crowds and traffic jams on the stairs during the climb. 🌄 3. While climbing down, avoid looking directly at the bottom. 🔻 4. Be sure to maintain the same posture while climbing down that you maintained while climbing up. It means keep your face toward the stairs.

The natural beauty and panoramic views from Hanuman Point are truly breathtaking — a peaceful escape into nature’s serenity. However, it’s deeply disappointing to see the area littered with garbage, plastic waste, and beer bottles. It’s heartbreaking that we enjoy such scenic spots but fail to maintain them. The lack of civic sense and public responsibility is worrying. Nature gives us so much, the least we can do is keep it clean. Requesting visitors to please carry their waste back and respect the environment.

Govardhan Ecovillage, located in Vada, offers a serene retreat amidst nature. The polite staff addresses guests as 'Prabhuji' and the visit includes the opportunity to explore the Sri Sri Radha Vrindavanbehari temple and Sri Sri Radha Madanmohan Temple, where visitors can enjoy bhajans. The scenic beauty of mountains, lakes, and greenery provides a peaceful atmosphere.
I recently visited Govardhan Ecovillage for the second time, and just like the first, it was a beautiful, soulful experience. My first visit was with my parents when we stayed at the Vrindavan Cottage, and I remember how peaceful and rejuvenating it felt. This time, we went with our entire family and chose to stay at the Madhuvan Hermitage, which came with air conditioning and an attached bathroom a perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm. During our first visit, we had explored their spiritual tours, which were thoughtfully curated and left a deep impact. This time, we attended the evening Aarti and jaap (chants) meditation, both of which felt deeply grounding and peaceful. We also got the chance to witness the Yamuna Aarti, it was absolutely beautiful and soothing, a truly heart-touching experience. Govardhan Ecovillage has truly become one of our go-to destinations in Palghar. Surrounded by lush greenery and steeped in a spiritual atmosphere, it has a unique aura that immediately calms your senses. There are two restaurants inside the premises one near the Mandir and another closer to the stay area. Both offer delicious, freshly prepared meals, and everything is managed with great care and attention to detail. This time, our visit coincided with Ekadashi, so the meals were aligned with the Ekadashi menu. Since we had checked in advance, we were prepared for it. But for others planning a visit, I’d definitely recommend confirming the meal plan beforehand, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the Ekadashi dietary restrictions. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the staff was courteous and always ready to help. The energy of the place is incredibly grounding and spiritual, it truly offers a peaceful escape from the chaos of everyday life. This time, we also got a chance to enjoy the swimming pool, which is quite spacious and well-maintained. They follow specific time slots for pool access, so you may want to check in advance. During our last visit, we had tried the spa services, and that too was a lovely experience. Overall, every visit to Govardhan Ecovillage feels wholesome a perfect combination of comfort, spirituality, and connection with nature. Whether you’re going for a spiritual retreat or just a peaceful break, it’s a place that leaves you feeling centered and renewed. I’m already looking forward to going back again.

The 20 of us visited Govardhan Eco Village on Saturday.. it was ekadashi and we all had a blissful trip n darshan at the madanmohan ji temple of Shri Krishna. This place is well maintained and is a huge place filled with greenery. The forest walk was the best part of this village. Each section had tales and statues depicting Shri Krishna birth and all that he achieved or faced in his life. The prabhuji's act as a guide n share small stories n folk lore along the way at each important area there....its lush green and truly serene. Away from the hustle n bustle of our concrete jungle. The place has free prasad at lunch time at Lalita bhavan....and there is also a paid canteen area which has a wide variety of eatables .There's a gaushala.....farm produce being sold like honey..ghee. .turmeric...millets...and vegetables .....a nursery which sells wonderful plants too at reasonable rates......there are innumerableplants, trees n flowers n fruits in the forest.. .the people there are all cooperative and polite n very respectful.... ISKCON is maintaing this area well. There are also rooms available for people who wish to stay there over the week or weekend....it has a Satwik environment n Satwik meals too. The best was the Krishna chanting, n jaap.....n later after 6pm the Yamuna aarti ....... Only request is for the management there to make arrangements for taking visitors in the travel buggy/ cart especially senior citizens who cannot walk long distances n experience the eco village....as now the service is fr those who have rooms there....all of us enjoyed the trip n the amazing day we spent there.

The place is located near manor, in lush green area developed in the surrounding. The rooms are quite well maintained with proper ambience. The room size is good enough apart from non ac room. The spiritual schedule is worth following. Golf carts are available to and fro from the rooms. Swimming pools is good and maintained but the changing rooms could be well maintained. 2 govindas restaurant are available one within the residential area and another near the main temple. The main temple is under construction with an upgradation process. A really worth experience at Govardhan ecovillage.

It is excellent place must visit You can catch a bus from Palghar station till Mastan Naka or From Vasai highway can catch a sharing van to Palghar. The location is far but is worth going. The prasad is delicious and healthy as well.

I was really looking forward to a peaceful and refreshing stay at Govardhan Eco Village, but unfortunately, my experience wasn’t as good as expected. Food was not available throughout the day, which was quite inconvenient. Also, for guests who regularly consume regular tea, it would be nice to have that option available — only herbal tea was served during my stay. What was most disappointing was how the staff woke us up abruptly for check-out, which completely disturbed our sleep. We were there to relax and unwind, but this really defeated the purpose of a peaceful getaway. Overall, the property and concept are good, but I hope the management pays attention to these small yet important details to improve the guest experience.

Surrounded by lush green forest and waterfalls during the monsoon, it offers breathtaking views and a refreshing experience for nature lovers. The trek is moderately easy, suitable for beginners as well as regular trekkers, with well-marked trails and scenic spots throughout. The top of the fort gives a panoramic view of the Sahyadri ranges that truly feels magical. Ancient fort remains, temples, and caves add historical charm to the journey. Local villagers are friendly, and guides are available if needed. A big salute to the local authorities and volunteers who maintain the cleanliness and safety of the area. Highly recommended for weekend adventures, photography, and peaceful time with nature. If you love trekking and history, Mahuli Gad is a must-visit place!

A Refreshing Escape into Nature! Mahuli Fort trek was an incredible experience — lush greenery, misty trails, and scenic views made it totally worth it. The forest trail is peaceful, and the fort ruins at the top add a historical charm. Perfect for nature lovers and weekend adventurers! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Moderate Trek with Mesmerizing Views The trek is moderately challenging, with rocky paths and dense forest, but the view from the top is breathtaking, especially during monsoon. A great mix of history, adventure, and tranquility. Don’t forget to carry enough water and snacks. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Monsoon Magic at Its Best! Visited Mahuli during monsoon — waterfalls along the way, cool breeze, and foggy peaks made it magical. A perfect one-day trek near Mumbai/Thane. The temple at the top is serene. Highly recommended for trekkers of all levels. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Trek Worth the Sweat! It’s a bit demanding if you’re a beginner, but the route is well-marked and rewarding. Make sure to wear good trekking shoes. The fort has fascinating remnants and a calm vibe. Ideal for small groups and weekend getaways.

I recently visited Mhauli Fort, and I must say it was an incredible experience filled with natural beauty, historical richness, and just the right amount of adventure. The trek to the fort is medium to moderate in difficulty, making it suitable for both beginners with decent fitness levels and seasoned trekkers looking for a quick weekend adventure. The trail offers a perfect blend of rocky paths, forested stretches, and scenic viewpoints. It's not a commercial trek, which means the route is still raw and relatively untouched — adding to the charm and authenticity of the experience. What makes Mhauli Fort stand out is the serene environment and the lack of crowd. It’s peaceful, and you can truly connect with nature as you ascend. The sound of birds, the rustling leaves, and the occasional cool breeze make the climb enjoyable. There are patches where you need to be a bit careful due to loose rocks or slippery surfaces, especially during the monsoon, but overall, it's very manageable with proper footwear. Once at the top, you're rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and hills. The fort itself, though in ruins, speaks volumes of the region's historical significance. It's a great spot to just sit, reflect, and enjoy the vastness around you. If you're into photography, this place offers some incredible landscape shots, especially around sunrise or sunset. Pro Tips: Wear good trekking shoes for grip. Carry enough water and some snacks as there are no shops on the way. Start early to avoid trekking in the midday heat. A basic first aid kit is always a good idea. Overall, I’d rate this trek a solid 4.5/5 for its natural beauty, moderate challenge, and peaceful surroundings.

Route: 1. Reach Asangaon railway station. 2. Take auto rikshaw fix( ₹250) for reservation maximum 4 people can seat. No sharing available. 3. Auto will drop u on main destination in 30 mins. Then u can start treking. Important notes: 1. Please wear full sleeve clothes, alots of mosquitos is present there. 2. Take atleast 2 water bottle per person, because no shop available on top. 3. U can drink water on top from waterfall but need to filter with clothes. 4. Please come before 6:30 pm, rikshaw change more after that. 5. Take rikshaw wala number for return trip to station. Happy journey. 6. Track take minimum 3 hours from one side, so try to reach at point before 9:00 am Happy journey Status: In July 2025 it was temporarily closed but I went from back side from same point 😜. No worries more than 100 peoples go there daily in monsoon. History of place. Mahuli Fort, located near Asangaon in Maharashtra’s Thane district, is one of the most popular trekking destinations for adventure lovers and history enthusiasts. Nestled in the Sahyadri mountain ranges at an elevation of about 2,815 feet, the fort offers breathtaking panoramic views of lush green valleys, rocky pinnacles, and dense forests. Surrounded by the Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary, the trek to Mahuli is as much about natural beauty as it is about exploring history. The fort has deep historical significance, as it was once under the rule of the Mughals before being recaptured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The remnants of fort walls, gateways, water cisterns, and caves still speak of its glorious past. For trekkers, the journey is moderately challenging, taking about 2–3 hours to ascend, making it suitable for both beginners and seasoned hikers. During the monsoon season, the trail transforms into a paradise, with waterfalls, mist-covered peaks, and a refreshing climate that enhances the trekking experience. What makes Mahuli Fort special is the sense of peace and adventure it offers. Away from the hustle of city life, it provides a perfect weekend getaway for nature lovers, trekkers, and photography enthusiasts. The sunrise and sunset views from the top are mesmerizing, making the climb completely worthwhile. Whether you visit for its historical charm, its natural beauty, or simply to test your trekking spirit, Mahuli Fort never fails to leave a lasting impression.

trekking and adventure, with stunning views of the Sahyadri mountains. The trek includes hiking through forests, tackling some steep patches, and rock climbing opportunities. Visitors can explore the fort's historic walls, temples, and watchtowers, with the option to stay overnight in the caves for exploring the higher pinnacles. The best time to visit is October to March for pleasant weather, though the monsoon offers a lush, vibrant experience with the caveat of challenging conditions.
Mr O — Google review
Feels like heaven on top. Its awesome and easy trek in monsoon. It took us 2.30 hr to climb up. Please carry your food with you. There is only 1 hotel at base. And food is ok.
Mandar ( — Google review
Mahuli Fort is not for the faint-hearted — it demands good endurance, especially during the steep stretches. Make sure you’re well-prepared with enough water and snacks. It takes time to complete, so start early to avoid trekking in the dark. There are monkeys around the fort area, so keep your food and belongings safe. The base village is Shahapur, and the nearest railway station is Asangaon — from there, you can take a rickshaw or shared transport to the base. Overall, an adventurous trek with beautiful views and a solid test of stamina!

The place is very peaceful located in silent areas of nature. A few kilometers from asangaon station autos are available from the station but going back is a task. The entire area of the temple is very clean. The back side view is of mahuli mountain. It's the Jain community temple. Photography is not allowed but still you can click some pictures.

This place is quite enormous. The Temples were pretty mesmerizing, with fantastic marble artwork and finish. The aura inside the premises is pretty positive and relaxing. Located a half an hour drive away from the shahapur city. We visited this place in May 2022 along with a friend of mine and I would like to visit this place once again with my family. There are carpets present on the floor, so you won't burn your feet while walking bare feet during a summer afternoon.

Beautiful temple with a awesome view of Mahuli mountains at its backside. Clean and beautiful landscaped garden and a small lake adds more feather to this scenic place. Mandir Trust provides unlimited breakfast and lunch at a nominal amount. I loved their policy that nothing should be leftover in the prasad thali. Their services and facilities are clean, neat and in well discplined manner. Don't miss this lovely spot which is just 4 kms from Asangaon railway station.

Manas Mandir in Shahpur is a wonderful place to visit! The ambiance is serene, perfect for peaceful moments. As soon as you step in, you feel a sense of calmness. The beautiful architecture and lush green surroundings make it a delightful experience for nature lovers. The temple is well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is located near Asangaon Station on Mahuli Road. It's nestled close to Savroli Crossing, Shahpur, Dist. Thane. It is a great spot for family outings. It's not just serene but also educational for kids. However, keep in mind that photography isn't allowed inside. The main attraction of the temple is peace and it fills you with a sense of spirituality. The temple premises are clean, and there are facilities for devotees like clean bathrooms and drinking water. The highlight is worshipping Shretrapal, the snake God. People believe sighting these snakes brings good fortune, and prayers to Shretrapal fulfill wishes. One of the highlights is the soothing music played in the background, adding to the tranquil atmosphere. Whether you're visiting for religious purposes or to enjoy the peaceful environment, Manas Mandir won't disappoint. it's a must-visit place for anyone looking to experience peace and spirituality amidst nature. I highly recommend visiting Manas Mandir for a memorable and peaceful experience.

Never miss this opportunity and don't forget to bring xerox for discounts @Great escape needs to be upgraded for more visitors just like pickup and drop service to virar station or bhiwandi station. A bigger pool for age groups and a few more slides for more fun, special lazy river for chilly 😎 moods but they have the best wash room, changing room and bathing area. The locker room needs to be upgraded, The new dining area is a work in progress and live counters are cool. Chai lovers are happy with unlimited tea during meals.

Please don't bring your kids. Only 2 rides available for kids remaining are 2 pools for kids with small sliders. Too much hot floor. Mats also too hot can't walk with bare foots. Only one thing is good that is staff. They care you well and treat well. For that I gave one star otherwise it is 0 star. You will find only one sitting area under trees and the seats are made with marble that to too hot to sit. Water is hot in summer in all rides and pools. No one pool available to swim. Overall this place is not suitable for summer and kids.
Srinivas P — Google review
The name “Great Escape” gives the impression of a grand experience, but the reality is a bit different. The water park is okay for a one-day outing, especially if you’re going with family or kids. Some of the rides were enjoyable, but many felt basic and a bit outdated. The wave pool was decent, but overall, the variety and thrill of the water rides were average. If you’ve been to other major parks, this one might feel a little underwhelming. The cleanliness was manageable, though changing rooms could have been maintained better, especially during peak hours. The food facility was a mix of good and average. It’s pure vegetarian and unlimited, which is nice, but the taste and variety were just okay. Nothing special, but it’s enough to keep you going for the day. The staff was helpful in some areas, but not consistently attentive. Reaching the park from central Mumbai takes time, so that’s something to keep in mind. Overall, it’s not a bad place, but it’s not something I’d call a must-visit either. It works for a simple, budget-friendly outing — just go with moderate expectations.

The Great Escape Water Park, Parol-Bhiwandi Road, Off Vajreshwari Road, on the Bombay-Ahmedabad Highway, Virar East, Thane district, Maharashtra. Pin code ~ 401303. Size: Approximately 24 acres of land, with about 12 acres of developed park area offering rides, pools, food, etc. Here are the things you can do / see there: Multiple slides: for adults and kids. Named rides include Rapid Rush, Crazzy Cruise, Aqua Twist, Aqua Blast, Aqua Tornado, Oscillator, Jet Stream (sometimes under maintenance) etc. Pools: wave pool, kiddies pool, landing pools. Rain dance area and DJ music/music shows. Dining: Pure vegetarian food is included. Food offerings like breakfast, lunch, evening snacks are part of the ticket in many packages. Other amenities: Lockers, changing rooms, clean restrooms, first aid. Some nature / greenery around; open spaces to relax, etc. Regular days (Monday-Saturday): 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Sundays & holidays: Opens earlier, around 9:00 AM, closes at 6:00 PM. Note: Slides generally close earlier than full park hours (ex: slides stop by 5:00 PM, wave pool around 4:30 PM). Tickets depend on height, age group, and day of week. Approximate rates: • Children (height between ~3′3″ to 4′6″) — ~ ₹799 in many cases. • Senior citizens often pay similar to children in many packages. • Kids below ~3′3″ often free. Ticket typically includes entry + food (breakfast, lunch, snacks). What’s good: Good variety of rides and pools for all ages. Both thrill rides and kid-friendly zones. Pure vegetarian food, which can be a plus for many. Clean facilities generally reported well in reviews (changing rooms, restrooms). Day-trip friendly, good escape from city. Be aware: It can get crowded on weekends/holidays. Arriving early helps. Rides/wave pool have time cutoffs earlier than the full park hours. If you want to use the slides, plan to be there well before afternoon. Some facilities or rides may be under maintenance sometimes (Jet Stream is one such example) so check beforehand. To make the most of it, here are a few suggestions: Arrive early, especially if on a Sunday — so you can use all rides before the rush and before slide cutoffs. Check ticket + food-inclusion plan so you know if meals/snacks are covered. Doesn’t help to arrive hungry only to pay extra. Bring swimwear, towels, sun protection (hat, sunscreen) because sun exposure can be strong. Keep a change of clothes — changing rooms are available, but good to have clean dry clothes. Check for deals or group bookings — sometimes there are discounted rates, especially on weekdays.

We went to Great Escape Water Park (around 45 km from Mumbai) and honestly, it turned out to be a fun day trip. The location itself feels refreshing, with the Tungareshwar mountain range and greenery all around - it really gives you that “out of the city” vibe. The park is quite spacious, and there are plenty of water rides to keep both kids and adults entertained. The wave pool with live music was definitely a highlight! Their theme is “Fun Unlimited, Food Unlimited,” which sounds exciting, but the food quality could’ve been much better. Unlimited food is good, but taste matters too. Also, at the live counter food area, drinking water was served from a cement tank, which didn’t feel very hygienic - stainless steel RO tanks would be a much better option. The basic facilities were impressive though. Washrooms and changing rooms were clean, and lockers are available for ₹200 if you want to keep your stuff safe. Costumes are compulsory, which I think is a good rule. They even have extras like cold drinks, ice creams, carnival rides and bumping cars at small additional charges (do check the images for price details for 2025). One thing that was a bit of a struggle- everyone had to carry their own sliding tubes (kids included), which was tiring. An automated tube-lift system would make things so much easier. We visited during their Independence Day “Buy 3, Get 1 Free” offer, which was a great deal for families. Only drawback: since it was raining, the open seating areas were wet, and there weren’t enough shaded spots for people just relaxing, especially the elders. Do check all the images and videos to getting more idea about the water park. All in all, it’s a nice place for a one-day outing near Mumbai. With better food, shaded seating, and tube automation, it could easily go from good to great!

We recently visited The Great Escape Water Park near Virar and was truly impressed by the level of service and friendliness of the staff — a shining factor of the overall experience. All meal services—including breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks—are included in the entry ticket, offering vegetarian and Jain options. The food quality was consistently praised by guests. Ride operators and lifeguards maintained strict safety protocols, closely monitored all pools and rides, and ensured a secure environment for visitors The Great Escape isn’t just about water slides—it’s about a well-orchestrated, family-friendly outing where staff commitment and excellent service elevate the experience.
Reena D — Google review
We spent nearly the whole day there and didn’t want to leave! It was the perfect mix of excitement and relaxation. I’d highly recommend the great escape water park to families, couples, or groups of friends looking for a fun way to beat the heat. Can’t wait to go back!
Ritesh P — Google review
The Great Escape Water Park is a good option for a family trip. It has 6–7 small water rides, 4 big ones, and a wave pool, though the wave pool is quite small. If you're planning a full-day picnic, it's a nice place to enjoy. However, if you're going just for water rides, you might want to consider a different water park with more variety. The food here is awesome!

Hindu temple on a hill dedicated to the goddess Jivdani Mata, offering scenic views.
This temple is very nice and having no rush in weekdays.you will enjoy to come here by stairs but don't come by stairs with aged person because they may not go by it. That train is best option for them. If you are having time then use stairs it will take hardly a hour to complete it their are around 1400 stairs.

Visited Jivdani Temple in Virar, a serene hilltop shrine offering divine blessings and stunning panoramic views. The climb of around 1400 steps is rewarding, but a ropeway is available for convenience. The temple is well-managed, peaceful, and a must-visit for spiritual seekers and nature lovers alike

This is one of the most divine and beautiful devi temple I have visited. You can get share auto from Virar east exit. There are 2 ways to reach the temple-either take the stairs or go for the ropeway (Rs.250/- return). The view from the temple is very beautiful. The darshan happens smoothly. The staff inside is good at handling crowd. Free breakfast served upstairs. Also, naralwadi available -you need to pay for this.
Ramya I — Google review
There are around 1400 steps which takes around 30-45 mins to climb. Ropeway takes people to the top in 3-4 minutes from the base. Ticket is 250/- to & fro. Prefer to pay in cash as there can be network issues. From the top it gives scenic view of the surrounding area. If you want peaceful darshan then prefer to go on weekdays instead of weekends.

What a place!!! It's beautiful and during rainy season it's unconditionally beautiful ❤️ It has train rope for those who can't walk by stairs. And after that it has lifts to reach the top No issues for senior citizens You can visit with ease.... And the aura inside is beautiful and magical A must visit

This is truly a beautiful and peaceful place that offers a spiritually uplifting experience. Situated on a hill, the temple provides a sense of calm and serenity from the moment you arrive. One of the best parts is the convenience of a train service that takes you almost to the top, with a round trip costing just ₹250( But you have to pay online,no offline payment is accepted) . After the train ride, there’s a lift available that takes you even further up to where the sacred temple is located. The area around the main deity is extremely soothing and calm—perfect for a few moments of silent prayer or reflection. You can go up a few stays and offer prayers to Shri Kali devi temple too Inside the temple, prashad is offered to all devotees. ( You have to pay money). Just outside the temple, you'll find shops selling flowers and offerings, making it easy to prepare before going inside. There’s also a shoe stand right in front of the temple so visitors don’t have to walk barefoot on the road, although you're allowed to keep your footwear down as well if you wish. The washroom facility is available both inside ,outside the temple. It is a must-visit for anyone seeking peace, devotion, and a beautiful spiritual retreat. I had a wonderful experience, the shopkeepers are kind and helpful too,They offered us to keep our shoes in there shops itself . Food and water facility is also available near temple

One of the most popular temples among mumbaikars. Best place for religious people. There are 1400 steps to climb which will take approximately 1 hour. At the top of the temple there is snacks available at a very affordable price. Idli at only 10 rupees. Wada pav at only 15 rupees. Tea at only 10 rupees. Popcorn at only 10 rupees.

Jivdani Devi Temple in Virar, Maharashtra, is a revered spiritual haven! 🛕 Perched atop a 450-foot hill in the Western Ghats, this ancient Shakti Peetha dedicated to Goddess Jivdani Maa draws millions of devotees annually, especially during Navratri festivals with vibrant processions and aarti. 😍 The panoramic views of Virar city and Arabian Sea from the summit are breathtaking, and the serene ambiance offers peace amid lush greenery. Ropeway access (introduced in 2012) makes the ascent thrilling and convenient, with shops for prasad and souvenirs enhancing the experience. However, the site gets extremely crowded on weekends and holidays, leading to long queues and chaotic parking. 😔 The ropeway can be pricey (₹150-250 per person) and occasionally malfunctions during monsoons, forcing steep climbs via 1,200+ steps. Maintenance issues like litter and uneven paths persist. For disabled access, the ropeway provides wheelchair-friendly cabins with assistance, but the temple premises have limited ramps, steep inclines, and no full elevators—challenging without help, though efforts for better inclusivity are ongoing. 🚫 Overall, a must-visit for devotees.

Places like this are the need of cities. It allows people to experience life in nature by staying away from chaos. The sound of birds, the sound of water droplets, and gentle music create an overall ambience to spend time happily. But I am personally waiting for the boat service to begin.

Shopping
Metro Junction Mall in Kalyan has undergone significant improvements over the years, transforming into a lively shopping center with a vibrant outdoor plaza, a popular movie theater, and an array of dining options in its food court. The mall now boasts numerous branded and fashion clothing stores at reasonable prices, making it an ideal destination for shoppers. Its clean and well-maintained facilities create a pleasant atmosphere for visitors to enjoy their time spent with family and children.
Decent spot in Kalyan for entertainment. The mall is in good condition due to recent renovations and upgrades. Though, it is largely crowded during weekends, you would be lucky to get a seat in the food court. Many shops are present for fashion shopping with different deals and discounts all year. Foreign brands like Starbucks have recently opened as well, if one wants to visit. Overall a well maintained facility with higher degrees of cleanliness but can be improved.
Rohan S — Google review
The mall is big and has a great variety of brands, making it a nice place to visit and have fun. However, cleanliness is a major issue—cockroaches can be seen everywhere, even in the food court. There are no proper dustbins for waste disposal, and the washrooms are extremely dirty. No hand wash was provided, the flush wasn’t working, and the smell was unbearable. While the shopping experience is good, the management seriously needs to improve hygiene and maintenance.
Snehal K — Google review
A great place for shopping and leisure. The mall has a good mix of brands, a decent food court, and a multiplex for movies. It’s spacious and usually well-maintained. Gets a bit crowded on weekends, but overall a solid spot to hang out with family or friends.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Metro Junction Mall in Kalyan is one of the best malls in the area, offering a complete shopping and entertainment experience. It has a wide variety of stores like Westside, Pantaloons, Zudio, Yousta, Cotton Clutcher, Style Up, Trends, and many more – covering everything from trendy fashion to affordable daily wear and ethnic collections. Household shopping is easy with MR.DIY and Reliance Smart Bazaar, while the food court has great options like Haldiram’s and Shawarmaji for quick and tasty meals. The mall is spacious, with a good mix of budget-friendly and branded outlets, plus frequent discounts and offers across stores. While some shops could improve their inventory freshness, overall it’s a convenient place for shopping, dining, and spending time with family or friends.
Mahesh C — Google review
Metro junction mall in Kalyan is a popular retail chain that offers a great shopping experience for those looking to buy a variety of products at affordable prices. The store is spacious and well-organized, making it easy to navigate through different sections, including groceries, household items, apparel, and more. One of the best things about Metro juntion mall is its pricing. You can find a wide range of products, from daily essentials to special offers, at competitive prices. Whether it’s fresh produce, packaged goods, or cleaning supplies, Metro junction mall consistently provides good value for money, which is why it attracts a lot of shoppers. They often have discounts and bulk offers, making it a great place for budget-conscious buyers. The store is typically well-stocked, and I’ve always found the staff to be helpful when I need assistance. However, during peak hours, the store can get quite crowded, which might make shopping a bit less pleasant. The checkout lines can also get long, but this is to be expected at such a popular retail destination. Parking is available, but depending on the time of day, it might be a bit of a challenge to find a spot. Despite this, Metro juntion mall in Kalyan is a reliable option for quick, affordable shopping, and it’s one of my go-to places for daily essentials.
Manjit. G — Google review
Metro Junction Mall in Kalyan is one of the best places to spend time with friends and family. The mall is really big and shiny, with a lively atmosphere. It offers a wide variety of options — from food courts and restaurants to clothing stores and other shopping outlets, so there’s always something for everyone. The overall vibe is modern and enjoyable, making it a good spot not just for shopping, but also for hanging out. A little improvement in crowd management and maintenance would make it perfect, but overall, it’s a great place to visit.

Metro Junction Mall, Kalyan West is one of the biggest malls in the area and a popular hangout spot. It has a wide range of stores for shopping, a good selection of restaurants, and a multiplex for movies. The mall is spacious, well-maintained, and offers ample parking. Being located at a prime spot in Kalyan, it’s easily accessible and always lively. A nice place to shop, eat, and spend time with family or friends.

Nature & Parks
Sanjay Gandhi National Park, formerly known as Borivali National Park, is a sprawling forested park located in Mumbai. It is one of the largest and most popular nature reserves in India. The park is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including tigers and leopards. Visitors can explore the ancient Kanheri Caves within the park, which are Buddhist cave temples dating back to the first century BC.
Sanjay Gandhi National Park Visit We started 2025 with a trip to Sanjay Gandhi National Park on 1st January. The park opens at 8 AM, and although the ticket queue was long, it was worth the wait. Entry tickets were ₹110 per person, with car parking charged at ₹50 per hour. We walked about 7 km, taking in the serene beauty of this lush green haven in the heart of Mumbai. The experience was delightful, with scenic mountains, dense trees, playful monkeys, and deer adding to the charm. The butterfly garden was another highlight, with pretty butterflies fluttering all around. The tiger safari, bus fair at ₹136 per person, was an incredible adventure where we spotted tigers, cubs, and a lioness. Unfortunately, we missed the toy train ride as the lanes are currently under redevelopment, but we’ll be back to try it on our next visit. With so much left to explore, it’s clear the park can’t be fully covered in a single day. We’re already planning a revisit to experience more of this incredible destination. Sanjay Gandhi National Park is a perfect weekend escape, offering a blend of nature and adventure. A must-visit for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with the outdoors!

Reviews need detailing as on reaching park we were guided by the personnel there to visit the amazing sites. 1.Entry in the national park Ticket-₹103 2.Services to kanheri caves the biggest attraction of the site Bus- ₹50 both ways per person. Van- ₹1350 both ways for the group. Bus of BEST - ₹20 from each side per person. There are buggy's also which take u to safari ticket counter not to kanheri so make your decision wisely.Ticket- ₹50 per person one way. And the visiting ticket to kanheri cave-₹25 /person. Total 109 caves worth seeing marvellous views especially in monsoon season. Then comes Lion safari- 2 km from main entrance,Ticket -₹ 136 per person. Bus will take you around for safari in which you will see lions, lioness, tigers and yes with full precautions. Museums can also be your choice but the adventure doing things I have already mentioned. To my view go to kanheri caves first as it is 7km away from main entrance and then enjoy the other things. I bet you will not regret only take a local to borivali station and 1.4 km away there u are SANJAY GANDHI NATIONAL PARK.

Sanjay Gandhi National Park is honestly one of my favorite places to take a break from Mumbai’s chaos. The moment you enter, it feels like you’ve stepped into another world — peaceful, green, and full of life. It’s hard to believe something this calm exists within the city. I visited early in the morning, and the air was fresh and cool. Walking through the forest trails with birds chirping all around was such a refreshing experience. I also rented a cycle and explored the park a bit deeper — totally worth it if you enjoy riding through nature. One of the highlights for me was the Kanheri Caves. Climbing up to the caves, with all the ancient carvings and the view of the forest from the top, felt like stepping into history. It’s both peaceful and awe-inspiring. What I love most about the park is how it balances natural beauty with easy access. Whether you're into trekking, cycling, photography, or just sitting quietly among trees, this place has something for everyone. I left feeling lighter, calmer, and a little more connected to nature. Highly recommend spending a few hours here — especially if you live in Mumbai and just need to breathe.
Aditya — Google review
It's nice but NOT a must place. There is a round trip trail which will be totaled around 14km. The highlight will be the caves. I have rented a bicycle at the entrance of the park- and I really recommend the bicycle option. I think the park opens around 8 and also the bicycle rental opens at 8am. You will need to deposit about 300rupi and leave an ID. Then the fee will be 80rupi for 2h. The road is mostly flat. You will need to park the bicycle and to walk about 1km to get to the cave site. There are many toilets around and small stands that sell drinks and fruits. What to bring: A lot of water Money ID (for bicycle) Cap and sports clothing (be ready to sweat) Cost The day I came it was a public holiday so entry was free. Bicycle 80rupi/2h Entrance to cave 300rupi (for foreigners)

It's the heart of Mumbai City. Do visit this place if you are someone who loves nature. Completely green and peaceful. Come here with your friends and family. Enjoy walking, running, cycling with your closed ones. The park opens at 8am in the morning. So you can plan accordingly. This place opens at 5.30am in the morning for pass holders. Pass holders are people who can enter the park from 5.30am to 7am only for walks. Mostly people who stay nearby use the passes as they can use it for morning walks.

Water & Amusement Parks
Water Kingdom is a family-friendly water park that offers a variety of attractions for both kids and adults. As the oldest amusement park in its city, it is part of a twin theme park along with Essel World. The park features thrilling rides such as high-speed slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river. It also boasts India's largest aqua play pool and ensures safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed.
Visited this place 4-5 times since 2010 to 2025, with family, friends and on a school trip. Had a lot of fun each and everytime. Not a lot has changed here, traditional slides. Every time I visited, there were 1-2 slides which were closed, but I am a wavepool person, so I don't really care about the slides. 😅 Staff is friendly, food options/outlets are good and have a variety. Food is costly though, so you need to plan your budget. One thing which can be improved on is the free water they provide, they can have disposable cups, so that hygiene is maintained and improve the quality of drinking water.

Whether you're searching for thrill rides or a pleasant day out. Water Kingdom is a must-see! It has parking facilities at a cost of Rs 50 for the entire day. There is a shuttle service from parking to the Water Kingdom, which costs 1750rs per ticket. There are several food courts that are slightly more expensive, but the cuisine is of good quality. You also have kebab and beer counters. You can also plan Pagoda simply 5min drive likewise Gorai beach again 5min drive. Essel world is just beside water kingdom

Had a great time at Water Kingdom! Visited for just one day but made the most of it. The ferry ride was fun, and the slides were exciting and well-maintained. Perfect place to beat the heat and enjoy with friends or family. The staff was helpful, and the park was quite clean. Would definitely recommend for a fun water-filled day!
BeingYourself — Google review
Visited Water Kingdom in Gorai on a weekday with family, and it turned out to be a great decision since the park was much less crowded. All the water slides were functional and well-maintained, which added to the fun. If you're driving, note that parking is available about 10 minutes away from the park and costs ₹150 for a four-wheeler. However, there's a convenient free shuttle bus service from the parking area to the entrance. Alternatively, if you're coming from Borivali, you can take the dedicated Water Kingdom ferry boats. For those riding two-wheelers, you can use the Gorai ferry service, which accommodates bikes. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience, perfect for a relaxed family outing without the weekend rush.

I think EsselWorld is a great spot to spend your weekend rather than going outside Mumbai. It has a Bird park , Water Park and Peace Pagoda. And most importantly, Greenery everywhere. I have created a full video and uploaded it on my YouTube channel. Name : Discover India with Uttam. Easiest way to go there is 1. First reach to boriwali railway station 2. Take bus or Rickshaw (10-15 min from the station) 3. Ferry ride of 15 min ( 100 rs ticket return Journey) Peace Pagoda don't have an entry ticket. It is a beautiful hidden spot in Mumbai. If you are planing Bird park then please visit in Oct - Dec. Hope it helps

It is one of the best amusement park of India. The place contains the ride for children as well as for adults. One can spend a whole day here and have fun. The entry price is also fine but it doesn’t include all the rides, for some rides you will be charged at their respective counters. They have a theatre as well in the park. Their are two sections of the park one is the amusement and the other one is water. Regarding the price for the food it’s way too high and the outside food is not allowed which at last will help in increasing your budget. The place is good for friends family and children.

It can accommodate up to 8,000 people and stands as a symbol of peace and harmony. The design was inspired by the practice of Vipassana meditation, aimed at promoting peace and compassion.
A place of serenity & tranquility! Incredibly clean, beautiful & peaceful. If only we had more well-maintained places in India such as this... There's a decent food plaza as well. Parking needs to be done a little far from the entrance (~3 mins walk) and rightly so. Also, free entry.

The Global Vipassana Pagoda is a beautifully maintained spiritual landmark near Gorai, Mumbai, admired for its peaceful ambience and grand architecture. It can be reached conveniently by ferry from the Borivali side (Gorai Khadi) or by road through Mira Bhayandar–Uttan. Entry is free, and ample parking is available for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers. A café inside serves delicious quick bites at reasonable rates, ideal for a short refreshment break. Visitors are encouraged to maintain cleanliness and decorum within the premises. The pagoda tends to attract larger crowds on weekends, so visiting on weekdays is preferable for a more tranquil experience. Public transport options like MBMT buses and shared rickshaws also make it easily accessible.

Washrooms and drinking water facilities are available, along with a small café for refreshments. A few sections were shut during our visit, but overall the atmosphere was calm and peaceful, especially since we went on a weekday with almost no crowd. To reach the Pagoda, you can take a ferry from Gorai, which costs around ₹100 (return ticket). From Borivali railway station or Borivali metro station, you can take a shared auto to the ferry point. The journey itself was smooth and added to the experience. Overall, a wonderful place to visit for peace, meditation, and beautiful architecture, away from the chaos of the city

Nestled within the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Mumbai, India, the Kanheri Caves are a remarkable testament to ancient Buddhist architecture and art. Carved by monks over 2,000 years ago, these 109 caves feature rock-hewn temples adorned with intricate sculptures, paintings of Buddha, and inscriptions dating from the 1st century BCE to the 10th century AD.
Kanheri Caves, situated at Borivali. The Caves carved from solid rocks, in the era 2nd BC to 11th BC. Somewhere when Samrat Ashoka wanted to spread the Buddhist Religion. There are 102 Caves situated at various levels. The Budh Stupas which are a common in Buddhist are seen at various levels. Once upon a time it was free to Public, but now they have started with entrance tickets. INR 103/- per person. For Senior Citizens the price is kept the same. A yearly pass for Senior Citizens is available only from Tuesdays to Fridays @ INR 41/-. The pass must be available on Sundays too. The ticket window opens at 8.00 a.m. only. They should make arrangements to start earliest by 7.00 a.m. Public can start by 7.00 a.m. and by the time Sun starts spreading its heat, people can start returning. The famous Buddhist Stupas are seen at various Caves. Few Caves are situated at an elevated levels. Sculptures are marvelous but few are damaged mat be by the Invaders in those times. Security is stationed at all levels. WashRoom facility is available. Even Canteen facility is available, picnic tables are layed for people to enjoy there breakfast or snacks. One should be careful of the Monkeys, they are spread in all the areas. It is mind boggling to see such architectural beauty of those times when proper instruments erre not available but still people have worked and have made such wonders. One has to see it physically to experience this fact. At each Cave an inscription is displayed, explaining the details of that particular Cave. Archeological Society has constructed few steps with railings for people to climb up the levels.

Visited: November 2024 I'm an explorer who loves to visit historical and archaeological places, and Kanheri Caves was a real treat! Took a train to Borivali and then a shared auto for ₹25 to reach Sanjay Gandhi National Park. From there, I took the ₹20 shuttle bus that takes you straight to the caves. It’s amazing how such a peaceful and serene spot exists in the middle of Mumbai! The caves are well-maintained, and the history here is incredible. I was astonished by the big standing Buddha statue—it’s both impressive and calming. The ancient water management system carved into the stone is fascinating—stone channels and cisterns designed to collect and guide rainwater. It’s amazing how advanced the architecture was for its time. The ancient monk cells were another highlight—small, carved-out rooms where monks once lived and meditated. Walking through them, you really feel the quiet, spiritual atmosphere of the place. It’s like stepping back into a different time. I spent about 3 hours exploring every cave—be prepared for a lot of walking and stairs. Carry plenty of water, wear comfortable shoes, and take your time to appreciate the surroundings. There are plenty of shaded spots to rest, which definitely helps. A big thanks to the security guards—one of them saved me from an aggressive monkey and handed me his stick for protection. Beware of monkeys if you’re carrying food—they’re quick! Tip: Go early to avoid the heat, keep your food sealed, and enjoy the peaceful vibe of this historical escape. It’s definitely worth a visit.
