It is one of the best amusement park of India. The place contains the ride for children as well as for adults. One can spend a whole day here and have fun. The entry price is also fine but it doesn’t include all the rides, for some rides you will be charged at their respective counters. They have a theatre as well in the park. Their are two sections of the park one is the amusement and the other one is water. Regarding the price for the food it’s way too high and the outside food is not allowed which at last will help in increasing your budget. The place is good for friends family and children.

This is the excellent amazing place to enjoy with family. Rights in this park are amazing. I have not ever enjoy a rather than Essel World. There are 360 roller coaster, shot and drop, top spin and thunder rides are the best thrilling rides all over the India I will highly recommend if you want to spend some time for fun and relaxing with family. Reviews need detailing as on reaching park we were guided by the personnel there to visit the amazing sites. 1.Entry in the national park Ticket-₹103 2.Services to kanheri caves the biggest attraction of the site Bus- ₹50 both ways per person. Van- ₹1350 both ways for the group. Bus of BEST - ₹20 from each side per person. There are buggy's also which take u to safari ticket counter not to kanheri so make your decision wisely.Ticket- ₹50 per person one way. And the visiting ticket to kanheri cave-₹25 /person. Total 109 caves worth seeing marvellous views especially in monsoon season. Then comes Lion safari- 2 km from main entrance,Ticket -₹ 136 per person. Bus will take you around for safari in which you will see lions,lioness,tigers and yes with full precautions. Museums can also be your choice but the adventure doing things I have already mentioned. To my view go to kanheri caves first as it is 7km away from main entrance and then enjoy the other things. I also rented a cycle and explored the park a bit deeper — totally worth it if you enjoy riding through nature. One of the highlights for me was the Kanheri Caves. Climbing up to the caves, with all the ancient carvings and the view of the forest from the top, felt like stepping into history. It’s both peaceful and awe-inspiring. What I love most about the park is how it balances natural beauty with easy access. Whether you're into trekking, cycling, photography, or just sitting quietly among trees, this place has something for everyone. I left feeling lighter, calmer, and a little more connected to nature. Highly recommend spending a few hours here — especially if you live in Mumbai and just need to breathe.

It's nice but NOT a must place. There is a round trip trail which will be totaled around 14km. The highlight will be the caves. I have rented a bicycle at the entrance of the park- and I really recommend the bicycle option. I think the park opens around 8 and also the bicycle rental opens at 8am. You will need to deposit about 300rupi and leave an ID. Then the fee will be 80rupi for 2h. The road is mostly flat. You will need to park the bicycle and to walk about 1km to get to the cave site. There are many toilets around and small stands that sell drinks and fruits. What to bring: A lot of water Money ID (for bicycle) Cap and sports clothing (be ready to sweat) Cost The day I came it was a public holiday so entry was free. Visited: November 2024 I'm an explorer who loves to visit historical and archaeological places, and Kanheri Caves was a real treat! Took a train to Borivali and then a shared auto for ₹25 to reach Sanjay Gandhi National Park. From there, I took the ₹20 shuttle bus that takes you straight to the caves. It’s amazing how such a peaceful and serene spot exists in the middle of Mumbai! The caves are well-maintained, and the history here is incredible. I was astonished by the big standing Buddha statue—it’s both impressive and calming. The ancient water management system carved into the stone is fascinating—stone channels and cisterns designed to collect and guide rainwater. It’s amazing how advanced the architecture was for its time. The ancient monk cells were another highlight—small, carved-out rooms where monks once lived and meditated. Walking through them, you really feel the quiet, spiritual atmosphere of the place. It’s like stepping back into a different time. I spent about 3 hours exploring every cave—be prepared for a lot of walking and stairs. Carry plenty of water, wear comfortable shoes, and take your time to appreciate the surroundings. There are plenty of shaded spots to rest, which definitely helps. A big thanks to the security guards—one of them saved me from an aggressive monkey and handed me his stick for protection. Beware of monkeys if you’re carrying food—they’re quick! Tip: Go early to avoid the heat, keep your food sealed, and enjoy the peaceful vibe of this historical escape. It’s definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful place to visit. From entrance you have to take government bus which is chargeable to reach the cave. A full day is required to understand each and every cave in detail. The security guards help us voluntarily in explaining the sculptures. Restroom and refreshment is available at the location.

There are beautiful caves. They are very attractive. This is a historical place. The caves are well maintained. I heard that place many times. So I wanted to go there with my family and enjoy the weekend.

The mall is big and has a great variety of brands, making it a nice place to visit and have fun. However, cleanliness is a major issue—cockroaches can be seen everywhere, even in the food court. There are no proper dustbins for waste disposal, and the washrooms are extremely dirty. No hand wash was provided, the flush wasn’t working, and the smell was unbearable. While the shopping experience is good, the management seriously needs to improve hygiene and maintenance.

A great place to learn & observe our ancient culture and creativity. This place requires a whole day properly to read about each items and their history. A quite interesting place to spend time for those who is specially attracted to such items. Their are 3 floors , each of them having their own special interest. We took a ticket of ₹200/each. 😄 Although we had only 1hour left. We just ran and took some photos as fast as we can. But if you are planning to have a visit , get here with time like in the morning. Once the clock hits 6pm , you have to evacuate the campus. Must say, Tata family have a great taste in such type of cases.

Second visit on 26th October 2025 — visited with family. This time, we explored all the museums thoroughly. However, many sections were under repair and maintenance, so less than half of the museum was open or exhibits were shifted. Still, we discovered many previously unseen things and had a great experience overall. A must-visit if you want to learn about Indian history!. For foreigners, I highly recommend getting the audio guide kit — it explains everything in detail. If you’re planning to visit, it’s better to come after 4 to 6 months since renovation work is ongoing. Definitely recommended — go for it

Great collection and quite well maintained. The museum is still under expansion as of December 2025. Some exhibits might even beat Europe museums. If you really like museums you might just take 4 hours to see whole thing and with the audio guide. Audio guide is not absolutely necessary, you'll probably get similar, if not same information in a way on the written plaques there. Architecture of the museum is among the real highlights which needs to be experienced ofcourse.

Growing up in Bombay- I frequented this place and it's got a special place in my heart- not to mention we share a birthday. This is an iconic structure that has not changed. Now visiting it as a tourist from overseas, it still captires the charm and innocence as I see families, children and young couples take selfies, chaiwallahs selling hot sweet tea and instant photographers offering the ultimate background of the Taj hotel or the gateway. Do partake of the boat ride- the diesel run bimoy ride will take out out a kilometre and back a hundred years. And the pigeons- every Victorian building attracts pigeons. Best tiem to visit is at sunrise when the city is still asleep.

As a first-time visitor to Mumbai, seeing the Gateway of India was truly one of the highlights of my trip. The moment I arrived, I was awestruck by the grandeur of this iconic monument. The structure itself, with its impressive Indo-Saracenic architecture, stands tall and majestic, overlooking the Arabian Sea. It feels like stepping into a piece of history — you can almost imagine the days when important dignitaries arrived here during the British era. What truly made the experience special was the breathtaking view. Facing the open sea, with the cool breeze on your face and the sound of the waves in the background, the entire scene feels both peaceful and inspiring. The area is lively yet not overwhelming — people are enjoying the view, clicking photos, or simply soaking in the atmosphere. Right across from the Gateway stands the famous Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, which adds to the charm of the place. The view of this grand hotel alongside the Gateway is picture-perfect, especially as the sun starts to set and the lights slowly illuminate the surroundings. Everything about my visit felt just right — the clean promenade, the vibrant energy of visitors, and the rich history all around. It’s a spot where you can pause, reflect, and truly appreciate the beauty and spirit of Mumbai. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city for the first time.

Awesome views of the gate and Taj Mahal Palace hotel across the street 🏨🧡 very much worth the crowds and it’s super easy to walk around to see other sites nearby.

The security was very tight and the weather in the evening was so nice although it was a bit crowded but still enjoying due to high tide elephanta caves were closed and we were not able to visit it but should must visit this place

It's a good experience overall. Cave 1 is the main significant cave with good carvings of different stories of lord shiva. Place is well maintained with required amenities like water dispenser and washrooms availability. As commented by many, please be prepared for a decent climb. Please be aware of Monkeys on the way. I would suggest to avoid visit if you see any rain forecast. Be prepared for a long ferry up and down for about 1 hour on each direction. There are different tickets you have to buy 1. Ferry ticket (about Rs300 per head) 2. Toy train (Rs10 per head. Optional. You can also walk) 3. Village entry fee (about Rs10 per head) 4. Elephanta caves entry fee ( Rs35 per head for adults with age >15years)

Just one out a total seven caves at the Elephanta Islands, approximately seven nautical miles away from Bombay ... have been kept in some condition that keeps the place alive for tourism. This inspite it being dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva and designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The second cave is accessible but has little majesty of carvings compared to the first. The third to seventh are closed to tourists since the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation has not been successful in maintaining the heritage site.

It’s definitely a must-visit if you’re ever in the area!

I recently visited the Elephanta Caves in Mumbai, and it was an incredible experience. The place truly reflects the depth of our spiritual history and the brilliance of ancient Indian craftsmanship. Seeing the Trimurti and other stone sculptures carved so beautifully without any machines makes you realize how advanced and devoted people were in those times. The energy around the caves feels peaceful and powerful at the same time. It’s a reminder of how rich and meaningful our Hindu culture and traditions are. Definitely a place everyone should visit to connect with our heritage and appreciate the spiritual depth behind it.

Elephanta Caves is a nice place to visit at least once for the experience and history. The journey itself starts from the Gateway of India, where you can take a ferry that takes around 1 to 1.5 hours one way. The return ticket costs ₹290 per person. Once you reach Elephanta Island, there’s a small toy train ride available that costs ₹20 per person to take you closer to the caves. Before reaching the caves, you’ll need to pay a small Gram Panchayat entry fee of ₹5–10. After that, there’s another entry ticket for the caves which costs ₹40 per person for Indian tourists (more for foreigners). The caves are beautifully carved and hold great historical and cultural significance, but be prepared for some walking and stairs. There are also local stalls and small restaurants nearby for snacks and refreshments. Overall, it’s a good one-time visit to explore the ancient art and enjoy the scenic ferry ride, but make sure you have enough time as the entire trip can take around 5–6 hours in total.

Visit Elephanta to truly get inspired by the craftsmanship of ancient workers. The divine structures are absolutely stunning. The vibe inside is full of divinity and peace. Recently, they have made the booking complicated. You will have to purchase the tickets online only as there is no one on the window to give you help but if you get stuck then do not hesitate to ask the security guard there for help. And please email the authorities to mention this inconvenience. You will have to take a ferry from Gateway of India, then a mini train to the island. Please be aware of monkeys and do not eat and walk as the cheeky monkeys can snatch the food or drinks from you! Also, please be aware feeding the monkeys is not permitted. There are steep stairs so be prepared for climbing a lot of stairs. If you like there are also people who carry you up above for nominal charges. There are lovely souvenir shops on the left and right of the stairs; you can buy gifts, et cetera from there. Lots of veg and non-veg restaurants as you go up. An absolute must visit if you want to truly get inspired by this vibrant city of Mumbai as it is not very far it takes just over one hour.

If you visit during monsoon, you'll also be captivated by waterfalls. Another view is of Lake Charlotte that looks like a diamond necklace when seen from here. Louisa Point also offers a clear view of Prabal Fort. All these different views are intriguing and one can spend hours gazing at them. We sat there, soaked in the beauty of the place and relishing moments of silence. This place is known as a photographer's paradise in Matheran because it offers panoramic views of mountains, peaks, valleys, lake and waterfalls. In most of the travel portals, blogs and magazines, Matheran has been represented by using Louisa Point's pictures. During the peak season, photo points are a little crowded and sometimes you need to be patient for your view to be ‘people free’, but all your waiting time is worth those beautiful, dreamy and wallpaper pictures. Some people also stay at Louisa Point to watch the sunset.

Very beautiful view point in Matheran. Huge open space for you to sit, relax, spend some time with yourself or family/ friends, absorb the atmosphere (take tons of pictures if you wish to!). On one side you have the beautiful landscape of hills and plateau and on the other side you have a beautiful waterfall! There’s a long fence on the right, however there is a point where the fence is broken and one can just hop over and walk to the edge of the ledge for an adrenaline rush (although not advisable)!

Charlotte Lake & Lord’s View Point are next to each other. It’s known for the pretty sunsets, there are small stores close by that sell snacks and tea. It’s a small hike for 15min from the main path. It is super safe both at day and night to walk through the forest. I would recommend this place if you’re at Matheran for visit.

It's a must-visit if you're heading to this beautiful hill station. This serene spot lets you sit quietly by the lake, absorb the tranquility, and truly feel connected to nature. To reach the lake, you'll need to trek a bit through the forest — a refreshing and adventurous experience. While horse rides are also available, the walk through the woods is something you shouldn’t miss. ⚠️ A word of caution: During the monsoon, the path can get slippery, and accidents have happened in the past — so please be careful if you’re visiting during the rains.

This lake is a good place to visit in Matheran. The walkway to the lake is quite scenic. The lake is artificial and small but there is a nice view of landscape on the other side.

The climb of around 300 stairs was a fun challenge, rewarded by panoramic views and refreshing natural beauty. The caves are a fascinating glimpse into ancient history, and the temple carved from a single rock is truly unique and spiritual. The temple area was clean and well maintained, and the peaceful atmosphere made the visit even more special. Locals were helpful, and plenty of small shops at the base made the trip convenient. Seniors can opt for palki service for ease, and I highly recommend visiting in the morning to avoid heat and crowds.

Straight Upward climbing , Need 30 min to climbing, Entry fees 25/- pr person. No proper maintenance by archaeological survey of India , Some of the caves are not accessible due to improper entrance. Buddhist Caves but Encroachment is done by Hindus, in one cave a wall sculpture painted with orange colour sendoor and started worshiping an a prist is there to do so.

An awesome Ganpati temple located within caves, featuring amazing architecture. Situated high on a hill, it offers a palkhi service for those who are unable to climb the steps, although they charge ₹1500 per person and are firm on the pricing. In addition to the Ganpati idol, there are chambers within the caves that house a Shivling. A stupa is also present, reflecting elements of Buddhist architecture. The closing time of temple is 6:30 p.m.

Visited Varsoli Beach in Alibaug recently with my cousins. There’s ample parking and plenty of fun beach and water activities. If you prefer a quieter spot, just walk a little ahead for a peaceful, less crowded stretch of beach. Perfect for a relaxing day !

Varsoli is a small, peaceful village located just 3 kilometers from Alibag. It is one of the popular destinations near Alibag, yet it remains quiet and beautiful village. Visitors can enjoy its scenic seashore, quaint village roads, ancient temples, delicious seafood, and exciting water sports. Varsoli is an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful vacation that still offers a range of activities and culinary delights. The main attraction of Varsoli is its clean, white, and flat sandy beach. There are plenty of resorts and homestays available in and around Varsoli, making it a perfect getaway for nature lovers and beach enthusiasts alike.

Excellent beach other than Kashid. The water however does not seem very inviting for a dip. Not very clean as compared to Kashid. Long beach with lots of white sand and breeze. Lots of activities to do like Cycling, banana boat and other water sports. Ends of the beach offer an amazing strech of sand for a quiet walk by the sea. Almost completed my step count on the beach :) The food on the shacks and shops near by is amazing too. We tucked in to some great Prawns and Surmai fry at a good price. Saw some kind of a snake on the beach too !

Not many seaside activities, but it’s quiet and good for simply spending some peaceful time.

⚠️ Disappointing Experience at Alibag Beach Our visit to Alibag Beach was quite disappointing. The place was extremely crowded, with food stalls, rides, and people everywhere — it felt chaotic, and there was barely any space to relax or enjoy the beach. The parking situation was terrible, and there seemed to be no proper crowd management or supervision by the authorities. Even though the area has been recently renovated, the beach was littered with food waste and not maintained well. Overall, it’s not a place I would recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful or clean beach experience. There are much better, quieter beaches nearby like Nandgaon or Kashid that offer a more relaxing atmosphere. 🌊🚫

Beautiful beach, lots of water activities. We tried the speed boat and enjoyed it! It was quite crowded when we visited. We also went at night and loved the cold breeze. You can walk to Kolaba Fort during low tide (7 am to 1 pm), but we missed it.

Imagica is located at khopoli (approx 2 hours drive from Pune). It has a Theme park and a water park . One day is sufficient to do either of the two. In case one plans to do both; 2 full days are required. The rides are amazing and fun with family/ friends. Tickets can be booked online / offline. There are eateries inside the park. Amada serving amazing pizzas. Red bonnet serving fab burgers. Thali, buffet and jain food is also available. Locker facility available inside the park for your belongings. For water park dry fit attire is necessary.One can change once they r done with the rides. After 6 pm when the rides are closed there is a carnival in the premises. Also the park looks beautiful after sunset because of the lighting and fountains.

This led to a massive number of people in the queues and, as you'd expect, very long waiting times for all the popular rides. We still managed to have a great time and make wonderful memories (the pictures prove it!), but the waiting definitely took up a big part of our day. So, here is our number one piece of advice for anyone planning to visit Imagica during a busy period like Diwali, a long weekend, or any school holiday: It is highly advised to book the Express tickets. It might cost extra, but it will save you hours of standing in line and let you enjoy far more of the amazing attractions the park has to offer. Loved deep space ride, it's dark like space with starry ceiling and the speed of 200km/hour the twist and turns will surely challenge your brain equilibrium. Loved it the most. Then nitro roller coaster 160km/hour was amazing too. Gold rush with the speed of 80km/hour is at 3rd rank for me after Deep space and nitro. I for india, Mr india, salimghadh/ banghadh, were good too. Dead drop was a slight disappointing. Chota Bheem ride for kids, sloch monster were good for kids. Dancer / performer's were good treat. The water fountain show at the end of the day was soothing.

Imagica is located at khopoli (approx 2 hours drive from Pune). It has a Theme park and a water park . One day is sufficient to do either of the two. In case one plans to do both; 2 full days are required. The rides are amazing and fun with family/ friends. Tickets can be booked online / offline. There are eateries inside the park. Amada serving amazing pizzas. Red bonnet serving fab burgers. Thali, buffet and jain food is also available. Locker facility available inside the park for your belongings. For water park dry fit attire is necessary.One can change once they r done with the rides. After 6 pm when the rides are closed there is a carnival in the premises. Also the park looks beautiful after sunset because of the lighting and fountains.

Best for Camp piece full place enjoy and relax. It is a very good place, you will get good roads to reach there, you may have to climb a little mountain, it is good for nature activities, you just have to find a good camp which is near the lake, you can also take a bath in it

Best temple of lord Shree Balaji. Very good atmosphere with positive vibes. You can easily get blessings from Sri Venkateswara. The Murti of venkatesh is same as Tirupati Balaji.

A Lord Balaji temple ,good place to worship and participate in Pooja /Kalyan Mahotsav, mostly Andhra /Telngana community seen around and also the trustees.

There is sufficient space for parking. Well lighted interior. Pious gentlemen inside. A serene and calm place to even meditate. Very near to Bangalore poona Highway.

Peaceful. Enough parking space forntwo wheeler. If one to wash their feet before entering the temple, they have got one on the left side of the entrance. Offices are present outside temple for devotees to choose the offerings to the god. Specify footwear stand is also there. Request to use the same. Because people leave their footwear all around. People should also be quite inside the temple unfortunately it was found lodly speaking around.

Visit balaji temple around 8:50 pm to 9:05 pm for darshan (शयन आरती) This is altogether totally different experience. Light flute music , no lights ... great experience Totally amazing go with family n kids who dont follow God..they start following

It’s a divine place for inner peace. I think it’s the only Bhagvan Balaji temple in Pune which is run by andhra community & have bramhotsav. Here you can have prasad & also can donate for it during Bhamhotsav (during navratri), collect the prasad next day morning.

This is one of most authentic South Indian/ Iyengar style temple in Pune. The aura and vibes are amazing in this temple. The puja style and philosophy followed is Pancharatra way of worshipping Lord Venkateswara. In the main temple we find Lord Venkateswara as the main deity with his consort Padmavati. Next to Venkateswara, we have the divine presence of Lakhmi Narasimha and Lakshmi Hayagreevaa. In the compound we also have sannidhi of Chakratalvaar / Lord Sudarshana, Lord Hanuman, Lord Sita Rama along with Lakshmana, Lord Ganesha and Godadevi. Priests conduct the puja in a very elaborate and follow every custom and paddathi according to our agama shastras. Very proud that our culture is being preserved and followed and passed on. We feel the absolute divine energy in this temple.

Shaniwarwada located in kasba peth. you can reach here from deccan via pune station bus and also other transport available, this is the historic place in india from peshwekalin . one of the most famous kach mahal was present here , but now there is no kach mahal present here. not well managed but very cheerful place.

The place belongs to a rich heritage but nothing is left now. Only foundation is there what once used to be a 7 stories palace of the peshwas. It's the signature monument of the Pune city hence good of a visit. Once you should visit this. It's close on Mondays. There is light and sound show in the evening. The ticket for entry costa 25 rupees.

The trek or road climb is fun and not too long. The view from the top is amazing, especially during monsoon when everything turns lush green. Clouds move around you, sometimes covering everything, and the wind feels like it can lift you up. It’s peaceful, refreshing, and worth the trip. Food stalls at the top serve authentic rural Maharashtrian food—pithla-bhakri, curd, kanda bhaji, and lime sharbat. After the climb, it tastes even better. It’s a perfect weekend spot for nature lovers, trekkers, history fans, or anyone needing a break from the city.

There is lot of eateries for small snacks neare stairs and at the top. Small reasturants where you can enjoy home made lunch made by local people. Food Not too expensive. Enjoyable place. You can take your own food also. Better to carry water.

I’ve been to Sinhgad Fort twice once in winter and once during the monsoon and both visits were unforgettable. The views are absolutely stunning! During the rains, the entire place turns magical with fog rolling in, clouds blanketing the mountains, and the fresh green grass swaying beautifully in the wind. One of the best spots near Pune to enjoy nature, weather, and peaceful views. A must-visit!

- I visited Sinhagad in November and it was really an awesome experience. - There are PMT buses after every 1 hour from Shaniwarwada to Sinhagad [convenient to take before 1pm]. - Two wheelers also available for a day to ride nearby area. - Make sure to meet the locals, eat the food on Sinhgad and feel the power of Maratha on fort. - Very beautifull and easy fort to climb and convenient for children also.

Th trek up Sinhagad Fort through th Sahyadri Hills is breathtaking, w stunning views at every turn. try to visit early morning or on a weekday to avoid crowds, carry H²O, & wear comfortable 👟 for th trek. Parking can get busy on weekends, but th food & views make it completely worth it!

Outstanding place to visit for a vertical 5kms trek and climb or by motor-able road. Will have to still take stairs post trek for further explore… Saturday sunday its busy place with lot of footfall… rainy season is best if its open if not landslides. Best time is to reach by 6 am

Those walls, fortifications, machi all of them have been touched by Maharaj while walking around the fort. I traveled very happily for 12 hours continuously and was not tired at all, maybe it was the greatness of Maharaja's Rajgad that I didn't feel tired at all... The trekking experience is amazing but a bit challenging, especially in the rainy season when the fort is covered with fog and greenery. Carry enough water and snacks because the climb can take time. Overall, Rajgad Fort is a perfect place for history lovers, trekkers, and nature enthusiasts. Visiting it feels like going back into the glorious Maratha era.

There are 2 ways to go to Rajgad fort 1) drive to the place, and 2) trek If one has time and wants some real adventure, I would suggest trek. Difficulty level is moderate but it’s fun. Will take 1.5-2 hrs to reach to the fort
