Manila Baywalk Dolomite Beach is a popular bayside walkway that offers stunning sunset views over Manila Bay. This two-kilometer promenade stretches from the American Embassy to the Cultural Center of the Philippines, lined with palm trees and open-air cafes. The area holds historical significance as it was the site of the Battle of Manila Bay in 1898.
Me and my boyfriend visited Manila Bay, and it was such a beautiful and relaxing experience. The sunset view was stunning — one of the best we’ve ever seen — and it felt so romantic just sitting by the bay together, enjoying the scenery. The atmosphere is peaceful, and it’s definitely a must-visit spot for couples who want to spend a quiet and memorable moment in Manila.

I can’t say this beach blew my mind. Its a nice clean place (it shows how hard they are trying to upkeep it) where you can relax and enjoy sunset and hangout. There are a handful of people but in my opinion it’s not to crowded. But I must say it was quite shocking when the security at exactly 7PM lead us all off the beach. My first time experiencing this (as a European).
Ha K — Google review
Open from 6:00 am with free entrance. I had to bin my plastic water bottle which I had in my hand at the gate, as I have been told that I can’t go with it. I couldn’t place it in my bag. I guess they take care of the beach environment that way. Beach was very tidy. You can have there maybe 10-15 mins walk. Apparently you can’t swim there. At least you sit and relax or exercise like some people there. :)
Justyna M — Google review
A nice spot to relax in the city—free entrance, relatively clean, and there are trash bins around to help keep it that way. Guards are present at the entrance and exits, and there are restrooms available. You’ll also find street vendors near the footbridge if you want snacks or drinks. Good for a quick stroll or sunset view without spending anything.
Nathaniel A — Google review
Good place to watch the sunset. But it was clouded at the entrance area. You can walk along the beach to find a quiet spot and enjoy the sunset.
Desmond L — Google review
Manila Bay Beach presents a mixed experience for visitors. The artificial white sand, created through beach nourishment, offers a visually striking contrast to the typically murky waters of Manila Bay. This has undeniably created a recreational space that attracts locals and tourists alike, especially for sunset viewing along the Baywalk. The revitalized area provides a venue for leisurely strolls and social gatherings. However, it's important to note that the beach is artificial, utilizing crushed dolomite. Concerns regarding potential long-term environmental impacts and the suitability of the water for swimming persist due to consistently high fecal coliform levels, despite reported improvements in water quality near the shore. While the government discourages swimming, many still wade in the shallows. Beyond the aesthetics, Manila Bay holds historical significance as a major trading port and the site of historical battles. The adjacent Baywalk offers various dining options and sometimes features live music, contributing to a lively atmosphere, particularly on weekends. Nearby attractions such as the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Manila Ocean Park, and the massive SM Mall of Asia provide additional points of interest for those visiting the area. In conclusion, Manila Bay Beach offers a unique urban beach experience with its artificial sand and vibrant atmosphere. While the visual appeal and recreational opportunities are present, potential visitors should be aware of the ongoing environmental concerns and the current unsuitability of the water for swimming. It serves more as a scenic promenade and social space rather than a traditional beach destination for swimming and sunbathing.

Nice place to sit watch world go by very busy lots of ships families kids the beach is more like white gravel no one in water but still ok

Disappointed as it was closed off to the public for God knows why, so could only get a glance at it from the overpass pedestrian bridge....... it has potential but looks a little decrepit and unkept (a bit like Manila)

Manila Ocean Park

Nature & Parks
Manila Ocean Park is a must-visit aquatic theme park and educational facility in Manila. It offers hands-on activities, an oceanarium with over 14,000 aquatic creatures from 270 species, including sharks, stingrays, jellyfish, and the first penguin facility in the country. The park also features live shows, exhibits, and an amusement park area. It's a great place for families to explore and learn about marine life while enjoying entertaining experiences.
It was a fun and refreshing experience for us. We got to see the penguins, stingrays, and baby sharks up close and even feed them (for an additional fee). We also watched the sea lion show, which we were really excited about—and it didn’t disappoint! Overall, the experience was definitely worth it. Just a little tip: bring extra cash for meals, souvenir shopping, and printed photos you’ll definitely want to take home. 😉
Patricia C — Google review
MAY 2025 - We recently visited Manila Ocean Park, and it was a mix of good experiences and some frustrations. The Oceanarium tunnel is definitely the highlight — it’s beautiful to walk through and see all the fish and marine life swimming overhead. The penguin encounter was also fun, but it comes with an additional fee aside from the regular ticket. The same goes for the shark and stingray encounters — they sounded exciting, but again, there’s an extra charge if you want to try them. One real downside was the sea lion show. The auditorium was extremely hot and uncomfortable, and we ended up leaving before the show even started. That part of the park could really use better ventilation or fans to make it bearable for visitors. Overall, the park is worth seeing at least once, especially for families with kids who will enjoy the tunnel and animal encounters. Just be prepared for extra fees, crowded areas, and some uncomfortable spots. With a bit more upkeep and guest comfort improvements, this could easily be a much better experience. Tips: • Budget extra if you want to do encounters like penguins, sharks, or stingrays. • Bring water and a fan, as some areas can get very hot. • Go early in the day to avoid the heaviest crowds.

Although some facilities, windows, among other aspects of the place could use some cleaning and/or renovation to be kept in better shape, I would rate my experience good overall. As expected from a weekend visit, there was a sizable crowd even before afternoon. Tickets can be bought online via Klook or bought and printed on-site via automated kiosks and counters available at the entrance. Inside were a variety of fish and other assortment of creatures alike to be seen though, as mentioned earlier, the premises are definitely beginning to show its age. Also available are the penguin feeding, sea lion show, and other things kids and adults alike will enjoy. Check-in via Hotel H2O is also an option for those wishing to have an overnight stay or longer, and there are a variety of food options and restaurants alike in the venue.
Perci H — Google review
The park has improved a lot since our last visit in 2018! There are several new attractions and activities to enjoy now. I’m not sure if there have been any changes inside the Oceanarium itself since we focused on trying the new experiences, like the Biodome, which we really enjoyed. There’s also a play area and a cute ride that kids (and kids-at-heart) will love. Overall, it was a fun and refreshing visit — definitely worth checking out again!
Joyful R — Google review
We visited both the Aquarium (₱800) and the Biodome (₱800) today; the Biodome features exotic birds, a saltwater crocodile, and some reptiles. Tickets are flexible and can be purchased either on-site or through their website (₱800 per person, including the sea lion and bird show at scheduled times). The show was entertaining and fun, especially for kids. However, most photo opportunities require extra payment, which made the experience feel a bit too commercial rather than focused on animal care or education. We also missed one section of the Aquarium because the pathway was unclear. After being directed by the staff to the first floor, we weren’t allowed to re-enter. It would be great if the routes and staff instructions were clearer to avoid confusion. Recommend you to visit around 10am so you can watch the show at noon time depending on the day available for the show.
Suzy — Google review
Very fun to see everything they had, although not a ton of things. The best parts of the park was the lion show and feeding the penguins. If you have younger ones perfect place for them to explore and not be so overwhelmed by crowds. Worth seeing for the affordability.

The oceanarium and world of crawling creeps is aight, not too bad but not the best either, but if you'd like to see fishes I'd still recommend it, but the reason I gave this a 2 star review because of the horrendous quality and program of the all star bird show with reptiles on the side, seal talent show, I do appreciate the talent displayed by the animals and them trainers, but damn, the place is horrible man, seeing the swimming people from Hotel H²O was distracting enough while the show was going on, and this entire thing only has 2 speakers on the left side, and it's really botched up sound quality jesus, I literally can't understand everything the host said, on top of it's broken sound, there's a background music playing loudly consistently that it's literally not helping with the already horrible quality of the place, and damn people really do just come and go whenever they want even though the show already started blocking the already tiny view you have with what's going on, you can see everything that happened in the vids, plus the snack bar at the side, horrible popcorn man, ain't heated and it's got this stale chewy rubbery texture, well at this point I'm sure that the popcorn ain't even freshly cooked. And another thing to add, it was originally cloudy when the show started, and a lil after 30 minutes the sun showed up shining rays, literally the half towards the front seats are exposed dude, talk about horrible events place build, why would you only build half a roof in that thing?, imagine the people sitting there getting barbecued at 12 noon, they suddenly stood up and left them seats, blocking the damn view of the talent show of the seal, man I love the talent, animals, trainers, and props to the workers, but the management of this thing is just not good bro. If y'all want to see fishes, check out the oceanarium. But the show outside and it's prices, I wouldn't recommend it.
Dao T — Google review
We visiting the digital art museum which was nice, but not really worth the money as you can see everything in about 20 minutes. The exhibits are interesting and the kids enjoyed it. Entrance is not well signposted as you're greeted by a gaudy Eiffel tower ride which does little to promote local culture and there's so much trash in the parking, run down toilets, and food places are closed or just junk. I'm sure this place was great when it opened, but sadly the lack of maintenance and poor management let's this place down. Sayang.

Rizal Park, also known as Luneta Park, is a sprawling 57-hectare urban park located in the heart of Manila. It is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, offering lush lawns, vibrant gardens, and outdoor event spaces. The park is an ideal spot for picnics with its shady trees and expansive grassy areas.
My boyfriend and I recently visited Rizal Park, and it was a refreshing and memorable experience. It had been 10 years since my last vacation in Manila, and seeing the park again was truly nostalgic. The park is spacious, well-maintained, and perfect for a leisurely stroll or a relaxing afternoon. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens, open spaces, and historical monuments, including the iconic Rizal Monument. Since we visited on a weekday, it wasn’t very crowded, which made our experience even more enjoyable and peaceful. Rizal Park is suitable for families, couples, or anyone looking to experience a blend of history and greenery in the heart of Manila. Overall, it’s a must-visit destination that combines relaxation, culture, and history.

Luneta Park is a refreshing escape right in the heart of Manila. 🌳 Perfect for an early morning run or a peaceful walk, with wide open spaces, trees, and a touch of history everywhere you look. It’s clean, relaxing, and gives you that rare calm amid the city buzz. A timeless spot that reminds you why Manila is so special. 🇵🇭

I visited the park about 6:30 am and already there were plenty of people walking, stretching, exercising by themselves or in a groups. Big speakers in the whole park, music on, amazing energy! 🥰 Very clean with a few things to explore there. I definitely recommend this place to visit
Justyna M — Google review
Bringing my daughter here for the very first time was pure magic. I’ve visited many times myself, but seeing it through the eyes of a child is a totally different experience! As soon as we walked in and saw the massive, open green lawn, her little eyes went wide. She’s usually glued to her tablet, but here, she just dropped my hand and took off running! The sheer amount of safe, open space for her to burn off energy was a relief for me. Looking at her running around, I felt that amazing connection to Filipino history while she was just having the time of her life. Luneta isn't just a park. It's a piece of our heritage that also happens to be a perfect, budget-friendly family day out. It was a beautiful, successful first trip, and she’s already begging to go back!

Rizal Park is a calm and refreshing place in the heart of Manila. It is named after José Rizal and serves as a meaningful reminder of his love for the country. The park is clean, green, and perfect for jogging, walking, or relaxing. The dancing fountain with fire is the best part, especially after sunset. There is no entrance fee, the area is well maintained, and security is always around. A great blend of history and nature. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Manila.
Dwayne Y — Google review
Nice big park to go for a stroll and where you can learn about the history of the Philippines at the same time. But this is not just any old park, unfortunately it was also the place where many people were executed - some brave Priests who fought for the rights of the locals against the imperialists, and of course where national hero, Filipino nationalist, and inspiration for the fight against the Spanish Jose Riza was also publicly executed. It was interesting to read on the memorials their sacrifice. Also this is the park where in 1946 Philippines was finally declared an independent nation. So this park is important to the Philippine people and so respect and reverence is to be shown when walking around. It is a nice park and it is well laid out. Definitely worth a view
Rob N — Google review
I visited Rizal Park, also known as Parke ng Rizal or Bagumbayan, on October 29, 2025. It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have visited in Manila. The park is named after Dr. José Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines, who dedicated his life to the country’s freedom through his writings and sacrifice. This park stands as a reminder of his love for the Filipino people and his dream of an independent nation. The atmosphere of the park is calm and refreshing. I saw many people jogging, walking, and doing exercises early in the evening. The green grass, tall trees, and clean surroundings make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature in the middle of the city. The dancing fountain with fire was the highlight of my visit — it was truly worth watching, especially after sunset. There is no entrance fee, which makes it accessible for everyone. The place is well-maintained, and security officers are visible throughout the area. Rizal Park is not just a tourist spot but also a space where history, nature, and everyday life meet beautifully. I highly recommend visiting this park to anyone coming to Manila.

Rizal Park also known as Luneta was a highlight of our first Manila trip. It's incredibly crowded, but that only proves its importance as a central gathering place. The atmosphere is vibrant, and the historical significance is immense, especially around the Rizal Monument. If you want a real feel for Filipino history and community, this spectacular public space is a must-see.

San Agustin Church in Intramuros is truly a treasure. The moment you step inside, you feel the calm , the soft light, the painted ceiling, the old wooden pews… everything is full of history and charm. It’s amazing to think this is the oldest stone church in the Philippines, and it’s still standing strong after so many centuries. I loved walking around the museum too...So many old artifacts and details that tell the story of the country’s past. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Manila! UNESCO historical site, this Church is still functioning and has a wonderful museum attached to it. When we visited this church, there was a wedding going on. This museum has many sculptures and old Bibles. Also, a cemetery is also inside the building. The staircase is astonishing. The entrance fee is very low. A lot of to see and recommend to allow at least one hour here.

San Agustin Church in Intramuros is truly a masterpiece of Baroque architecture and a must-visit historical landmark in Manila. As the oldest stone church in the Philippines (completed in 1607), it holds deep cultural, historical, and spiritual significance. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by intricate details that reflect Spanish colonial artistry—elaborate trompe l'oeil ceiling paintings, massive wooden doors, and finely carved choir stalls. The stone walls and ornate altars speak volumes of the craftsmanship and devotion that went into building this church over 400 years ago. The atmosphere inside is both serene and awe-inspiring. The soft lighting, combined with centuries-old architecture, creates a solemn yet majestic feel. Whether you're visiting for spiritual reasons, historical curiosity, or simply to admire its beauty, San Agustin Church offers a timeless experience. Also worth noting is its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, part of the Baroque Churches of the Philippines, which only adds to its prestige. A true gem within the walled city of Intramuros—San Agustin Church is more than just a religious structure; it’s a journey into the Philippines' rich colonial past, beautifully preserved.

I've been here so many times, but this is the first time I tour the inside of the Church. It's always the best option to request a tour guide. Guides are free because they are volunteers. But please give them a fair tip, they are very knowledgeable and detailed. Entrance fee is 200 pesos.

I wasn't able to enter since there's an ongoing wedding. Wish there is a schedule / timetable for the public to see so visitors can get inside. Also there is a 250 pesos fee entrance (as of this writing) to see the entire church museum, garden, crypts.

This is a small and unassuming church in the intramuros district. It's very easy to miss however it's a great place to stop. If I'm not mistaken this is the oldest Church in Manila. There is an incredible amount of History here and the church here is well maintained especially considering its age. If you are staying in intramuros you will without a doubt pass by here several times while you're visiting some other sites, you need to stop by here and really take in the beauty.

The Minor Basilica and Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, also known as Manila Cathedral, is a historic church with ornate architecture dating back to 1571. It has been visited by several popes and is considered the Mother of all churches in the Philippines. The cathedral's Neo-Romanesque design, solemn ambiance, priceless relics, and stained glass windows make it a must-visit for both locals and tourists.
The Manila Cathedral is absolutely stunning — the architecture, the dome, and the grand entrance all make you stop and stare. Inside, it’s peaceful and full of light, with every corner beautifully detailed. You can really feel the history and faith here. It’s right in the heart of Intramuros, so it’s perfect to visit while exploring the old city. Even if you’re not religious, it’s worth stopping by just to admire how beautiful and majestic it is. Truly one of Manila’s must-see spots! ❤️

The interior is peaceful, flooded with light, and filled with exquisite details and you can truly feel the weight of its history and faith. Located perfectly in the heart of Intramuros, it's an essential stop for any city tour. A majestic and beautiful must-see, even for non-religious visitors!

Visiting this cathedral felt like stepping straight into Europe. The architecture is truly breathtaking — tall spires, grand arches, and intricate details that reflect both artistry and history. From the moment you enter, the high vaulted ceilings and stained-glass windows create a sense of awe and peace. The play of light through the colored glass adds a beautiful, almost magical atmosphere inside, making it a perfect place for quiet reflection or prayer. What’s remarkable is how well the design captures that classic European cathedral feel. It’s not just a place of worship, but also a piece of cultural heritage that transports you to another time and place. Whether you’re a believer or simply someone who appreciates architecture and history, there’s so much to admire here. The grounds around the cathedral are also well-kept, providing a serene environment for visitors. It’s a wonderful spot not only for spiritual connection but also for those who enjoy photography, as every angle seems to tell a story. Overall, this cathedral is more than just a religious site — it’s a landmark of beauty and inspiration. If you’ve ever dreamed of visiting Europe’s great cathedrals, this is definitely a place that gives you a taste of that same grandeur.

I visited the Minor Basilica and Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, also known as the Manila Cathedral (Basilika Menor at Kalakhang Katedral ng Kalinis-linisang Paglilihi – Katedral ng Maynila), on October 20, 2025. It is one of the most beautiful and historically significant churches in the Philippines. The cathedral stands with great elegance in Intramuros, surrounded by old Spanish-style architecture that reminds visitors of the country’s deep Christian roots. The interior was peaceful and inspiring, with tall arches, stained glass windows, and a grand altar that gave a sense of reverence and devotion. I could truly feel the spiritual atmosphere of the place. However, maintenance works were ongoing during my visit, so a few sections were temporarily closed, and some construction equipment could be seen around the area. It slightly affected the overall experience but also showed that the church is being carefully preserved for future generations. Despite that, the cathedral remains a sacred and serene place worth visiting. It is not only a house of worship but also a symbol of faith and resilience for the Filipino people. I highly recommend visiting this church.I give it 4 stars mainly due to the maintenance works.

And another Church in Manila - this time a Cathedral - in the tourist part of the city - Intramuros - smack bang in the middle and a good pointer for the area Inside it might not be as impressive as a lot of Cathedrals of the world - bit plain really - but still there are a lot of good statutes, some pretty glasswork.... and info points which give one the history behind the Cathedral - interesting that a Church of some sort has been standing on this spot since the 16th Century - which I thought was pretty cool. Overall - worth a quick peep, but not much more Also looks pretty lit up at night.

Fort Santiago is a historic defensive fortress located in Manila, Philippines. It was originally constructed in 1590 by Spanish conquistadors on the site of a pre-Hispanic king's palace. The fortress has been restored and now serves as a museum and public park within the Intramuros district. One of its main attractions is the Rizal Shrine, dedicated to national hero José Rizal who was imprisoned there before his execution in 1896.
Fort Santiago is a wonderful historical site in Manila that’s full of stories and character. The place is well-preserved and offers a great glimpse into the country’s past, especially about José Rizal and the Spanish colonial era. Walking around the fort, you can enjoy the peaceful gardens, old walls, and beautiful views by the river. It’s clean, well-maintained, and informative, with signs that explain the history clearly. A great spot for both locals and tourists who love culture, history, and photography. Truly a must-visit landmark in Intramuros!

A magnificent fort situated near Chinatown which is great for a day trip combining the both. We can hear during the All Saints’ Day which was great. Less crowd for us to truly immerse ourselves with the history and greenery surrounding it.

Fort Santiago is arguably the most vital historical site within the Walled City of Intramuros. Standing sentinel at the mouth of the Pasig River, this military fortress is a captivating blend of Spanish colonial architecture and Philippine national memory. It is a must-visit for anyone seeking to understand the country's turbulent yet heroic past. The atmosphere here is truly evocative, especially as you walk through the massive stone gates and across the peaceful grounds. While beautiful and tranquil today, the Fort's historical significance is profound—it was the site of dungeons, barracks, and, most famously, the final prison of the national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, before his execution. Visitors can trace his last steps, marked by bronze footsteps embedded in the ground, an incredibly moving experience. The ruins of the barracks, the beautifully maintained gardens, and the spectacular views over the river offer a perfect balance of reflection and historical appreciation. Fort Santiago stands as an unwavering monument to the Filipino spirit, telling a powerful story of oppression, resilience, and ultimate freedom.

Fort Santiago is one of my favorite spots in Manila — peaceful, green, and full of stories from the past. You can really feel the Spanish-era atmosphere walking through the old walls and gardens. The museum inside is small but interesting, and the views by the river are lovely. I recommend going early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat...for me the weather was magical: sunny & at the same time raining. Definitely worth a visit if you love history or just want a nice quiet walk in Intramuros.

We enjoyed our dontskipmanila tour of Fort Santiago and surrounding historical spots. I gained more appreciation about our history and what our heroes did for our nation. I gained additional knowledge. We had our foreigner boss to tour around. I think the kids will also enjoy the tour. When I visited before with no tour, I didn't appreciate it much. When we had the tour, it was much better.

Fort Santiago is a must visit landmark in Intramuros. Built in 1593, this well preserved fortress offers a deep look into Manila’s history and features a dedication to national hero, José Rizal. A meaningful and educational stop for anyone exploring the city.

Went inside Fort Santiago and paid Php 70 for the entrance fee. This place is good for school trips too. I haven’t tried the guided tour and I heard it was great but my mom and I just DIY’d our trip. Took pictures everywhere but these were the only ones I captured that was without our faces.

Me and my partner visited Fort Santiago in Intramuros and it was one of the highlights of our Manila trip. The place is very well-preserved and full of history, especially with its strong connection to Dr. Jose Rizal. We enjoyed walking through the old stone gates, exploring the dungeons, and strolling around the gardens which gave a peaceful contrast to the historical atmosphere. The Rizal Shrine inside was very informative and allowed us to learn more about the country’s national hero. We also appreciated that the grounds were clean and organized, with plenty of spots for photos and relaxation. Visiting here truly felt like stepping back in time and gave us a deeper appreciation of Manila’s heritage. Highly recommended for anyone who loves history and culture.

Outdoor Activities
Avilon Zoo, situated in Rodriguez, is a sprawling 7.5-hectare facility that boasts the largest collection of animals in the Philippines. With over 3,000 specimens representing more than 500 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, freshwater fish, amphibians, and invertebrates, it offers an impressive array of exotic wildlife. The zoo provides a family-friendly experience with designated numbered stations for visitors to explore without feeling overwhelmed by the vast space.
Very family friendly. Probably the best local zoo at the moment. Animals are in way better shape than of the others found in another popular zoo in the metro. Location is a bit far, nevertheless, the travel is worth it. Loads of trees in the area and enclosures are very good. You’ll also appreciate that they’ve put an effort to put in a guide where to go touring the whole area. Kids and adults will appreciate the chance to have close encounters with some animals through feeding them and so with their resident star orangutan, Regine. 🙂

We went for an ocular visit to inquire about the field trip and asked if they could accommodate a walk-in process. Unfortunately, the staff on duty were not accommodating. Instead of assisting or providing clear information, they seemed uninterested and unhelpful, which left a negative impression. As an establishment that deals with group visits and educational trips, we expected a more welcoming and informative approach. A bit more courtesy and professionalism in handling inquiries would go a long way in improving the experience for visitors.

About an hour's drive from Manila (it’s a holiday). It was my first time, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The Good: The staff was friendly, and they had a decent variety of animals, including lions and tigers. We enjoyed our visit as we didn't have any children with us. The Not-So-Good: The zoo is huge and confusing to navigate. The signage is poor, and some areas felt abandoned. The glass on many enclosures was dirty, making it hard to see the animals. The floors were also slippery, which is dangerous, especially for kids. And the food was overpriced. Overall: It was an okay experience, but the zoo needs better signage, cleaner enclosures, and more attention to safety. The variety of animals is a plus.
Jurius N — Google review
This zoo may have the most complete collection of animals in the country. You’re able to feed a few of them like the goats, rabbits, and Barry the giraffe. It’s kid-friendly as well as long as they’re not sensitive to animal smells. Plan to spend at least half a day here, even if you arrive at opening time. If you want to avoid crowds, go on a weekday. If you want to get in for cheaper, buy tickets online.
Gavriel C — Google review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the best zoos I've ever visited! It's very easy to explore because they have a clear numbering system to guide you through the whole place. They also highlight key wildlife animals, and there's an option to feed some animals for only ₱100 — which adds a fun, interactive experience. Food is also accessible, which is great because we got hungry halfway through the tour, and it was easy to find the dining area. Just a tip: bring a portable fan and mosquito repellent to make your visit more comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Mark H — Google review
Place is clean and filled with shade. I recommend to bring an umbrella as the area often have rainshowers. Most animals look healthy though some are alone and look quite sad to be honest. It takes approximately 3-4 hrs to explore the entire zoo. PWD and stroller friendly.
Dean — Google review
Went there near closing time so we weren’t able to see other animals. We enjoyed feeding Barry the giraffe though. Also saw moon bears and lots of animals. Sadly we did not see the capybaras 😔. Overall, great experience. Buy your tickets in advance for big discounts.

Mount Samat in Bataan is a mountain peak that holds a memorial cross for Filipino and American soldiers who lost their lives during World War II. It offers a great opportunity for families to spend quality time together, as it is an easy climb suitable for beginners. Visitors are treated to breathtaking views from the peak, and can learn about the history of brave people who fought against conquerors for their country's freedom.
A second world war memorial dedicated to all brave souls who fought against the invading Japanese army. The place is clean and organized but the cross is off limits now. The view is awesome the 360 of the surroundings is really nice specially the Manila bay. Parking space is not a problem. Toilets area clean and accessible.

If you're not a person who loves to walk and go to high places, please don't go here. However, I loved it here because I love walking!!! It's like an spiritual adventure because your specific goal is to reach that big big cross even though it will take a lot of your energy. There's also a lot of exciting and historical things to see when you reached the summit. I want to go here with my family next time!
Trisha L — Google review
Went here last Saturday (May 18) and paid P30 entrance fee (adults), P20 Students and P50 Parking Fee. I hope that the visitors are informed prior to entry that the museum and elevator going up, inside of the cross, are actually closed for renovation. Accessibility is hard for those who find it a challenge to walk as the road up and near the cross was also close. There's no other way to reach the cross than by walking. But ok for those who enjoy walking. Eating is not allowed on top and picnics are usually made prior to gate entry.
Joy L — Google review
We enjoyed the hikes and beautiful views but wish the museum was open already. It was emotional and thought provoking. We also hope the government allots money for the repair and use of the huge cross.
Lynda P — Google review
Place opens at 8 am, and the entrance is 50 pesos per head with 50 pesos for parking if you bring your car. They give the people a short seminar pertaining about the rules and regulations within the place (no eating while on the tour, and you're not allowed to fly your drone). Be ready for a lot of walking and spectacular views (pro tip: bring an umbrella).
Bergs G — Google review
The location offers a stunning view, but it requires a good amount of stamina to walk uphill and downhill. Most of the viewing establishments, including the museum, are currently closed due to renovation work. Furthermore, the cross elevator is no longer accessible to the public owing to security and safety concerns. Php 50 entrance fee Open from Monday - Sunday

Bataan National Shrine is situated atop the mountain with 550m elevation, overlooking nearby the picturesque Bataan towns and Manila Bay. The iconic giant Memorial Cross which is about 95m in height still remains mesmerizing (on a clear day it can be seen from MOA by the bay). Visitors are not allowed anymore to climb the cross as it needs renovation. The shrine is well maintained. Right after the entrance gate, there's local tourism office with staff and tourist guides. There are some souvenir shops, cold drinks vendors. The uphill climb from the highway has a series of stiff turns, be sure your car is conditioned. The place reminds me how selfless and courageous Filipinos are defending the country from foreign envaders. It is great that this shrine/monument was erected in honor of the fallen heroes.

Great place to unwind, breathe some fresh air and learn a thing or two about our history. Also, they have such a nice turon beside the orientation place.

The Bataan World War II Museum, situated at the rear of Balanga Elementary School, showcases artifacts and dioramas depicting significant events from the area's WWII history, notably the tragic Bataan Death March. Visitors can explore fragments of the war era and learn about Major General King's surrender to the Japanese, with a memorial in the garden marking these events. The museum offers educational tours led by survivors of the Bataan Death March and knowledgeable guides who provide insights into history.
It’s a small museum - entrance is inside a school. Plenty of photos and memorabilia depicting Death March and Japanese occupation during World War 2. Nice side trip if going to beaches in Bataan. Staff are accommodating and knowledgeable.
Maui P — Google review
The museum is small and busy, but informative. As others have mentioned, the museum is located in the center of the elementary school grounds. This is significant because it was at this elementary school in 1942 that the American/Filipino surrender to the invading Japanese forces occurred. The statues in the courtyard of the museum represent the exact spot where the surrender occurred. If you go to the top of nearby Mt. Samat, to the National Shrine, you will hear more about the battles that took place in the area, and the Bataan Death March that occurred in the wake of the Japanese victory.
P&E H — Google review
The museum was inside the Balanga Elementary School campus so you’ll have to park at the campus parking and walk for less than a minute to reach the museum. The place was opened for us as it is weekdays and visitors are seldom. The gallery was good and informative. Good for family trips.
Adi — Google review
The Museum is located inside the Balanga Elementary School - a historical landmark of the province, which became the formal surrender location of the USAFFE forces after the Imperial Japanese closed in on their positions in April of 1942. The museum has two levels, with the second floor hosting memorabilia from the late President Magsaysay's wife Luz, who is also from Bataan.
Raywollesen F — Google review
They have old items which was donated by the relatives of the veterans from the WW2. The thing that makes this museum standout is that they have a map that shows the date when the japanese attacked, the positions of attack, the line of defense that was made against the japanses attack. Stories of the Death March and the strategy of Douglas McArthur. Very educational
Ryan J — Google review
Not much artifacts to qualify as a museum. But the retired teachers who maintains this place are all great. One of them is Lola Maria, she was 19 when the Bataan battle happened. She explains the history and all her experiences passionately, kids love hearing her stories. Great place to stopover when in Bataan.
Mike C — Google review
Very interesting despite many of the pictures being quite blurry. I was shocked by many of the atrocities attributed to the Japanese. The main thing is that it houses the actual location where Major General King surrendered to the Japanese, and there is a memorial of these events in the garden. The donation box is perhaps a bit much considering you have to buy a ticket (still cheap at 50 PHP per person), and also the slightly loud hostess was persistent in getting us to purchase merchandise. To be fair the screen-printed t-shirt was nice (let's see how long it lasts) for about 10 USD and she did give us some free stickers (free advertising)

Barasoain Church (Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish)

Catholic church
Sights & Landmarks
Baroque Catholic church built in the late 19th-century & site of the First Philippine Congress.
Church is beautiful 💗 It was holy Wednesday when we visited and we saw a lot of carriages of the saints lining up for the yearly procession. We also saw some men doing their penitence. We just didn’t know there’s a museum on the second floor ✨ Parking space is big but since there’s a big procession coming up, we were able to park on the nearby closed establishments. It is nice to bring my kids here too to keep their faith stronger and teach them some history like showing them that the church was in our old 10 peso bill 💗 the inside of the church is preserved as well so we were able to show/tell our kids some old practices of our church before 🙏✨

Finally, we're able to visit this famous historical church while attending a wedding in another church nearby. I was in awe just standing in front of the church's facade! It' good that the church has a huge parking lot because even on a weekday, visitors come in buses We also had the chance to visit their museum at the second floor. It was worth the travel!

Today is the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and as a devotee of our Blessed Mother, I chose to make my pilgrimage here over other shrines of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The old town feel is still alive. They had a procession of the statues of Our Lady, St. Simon Stock, St Anthony, St. Elijah and some other saints. They had oversized scapulars hanging from the ceiling. And the altar was literally covered with flowers. I felt a quiet joy in my heart when I prayed the consecration prayer to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Mama Mary, I entrust myself, all my loved ones, the souls of my Dad, Papa and Beloved Mama and all that I have to you. Take care of us as you took care of our Lord Jesus. And receive my gift to you with love. (The song, Wear my Mantle (Brown Scapular) which I uploaded on YouTube. Thank you for being my mother, Mama Mary. Totus tuus. 🙏

I'm so blessed I have witnessed the wonderful creation and amazing structures of the Nuestra Senyora Del Carmel of Barasoain Church Malolos ✨💕 Lord, thank you for the gift of life! Every Sunday ko is a travel day to every different churches around Luzon 🙏🫂 I'm so grateful sa aking mga Great-Grand-Parents and my Parents 🙌💞 they showed me what life is with and being a Roman Catholic 🥰 Inside the Church, it's very elegant and ecstatically designed 🍃 very overwhelming! I've always looking forward to the choirs, and I'm not disappointed because of the angelic voices, feels like we're in heaven! 🎶 ☁️ Additionally, in front of the church. There's Emilio Aguinaldo statue, and beside the church, there's this like a secret garden and a Museum 🎨 I think because it's June, they're preparing for the Independence Day, you'll see a lot of flags hanging around 🇵🇭 Please buy some goodies from the Sisters outside the Church, it's was so so good! Yummy 😋 About the Mass and homily, it's focusing purely to a family, a Father, a Mother and the Children 🫂✨

This visit to Barasoain Church was one of the most memorable ones for me. I attended Sunday Mass here, and it felt both historic and deeply personal. What made it extra special was having my motorcycle — Inari — blessed right here. A prayer for road safety, for protection, and for long-lasting use sealed that moment for me. It felt right to dedicate something so essential in my journey to a sacred space with so much history. Barasoain Church isn’t just any church — it holds a significant place in Philippine history. Featured on the old ₱10 peso bill, this church was the site of the First Philippine Congress in 1898 and the inauguration of the First Philippine Republic. It also served as the seat of the First Cabinet of the country. That makes it not just a house of worship, but a cradle of our democracy. The façade, the aura, and the solemnity of the place all remind you that you're standing on sacred and historic ground. The blend of faith and Filipino identity here is powerful — it's where God and Nation come together.

Water Parks
Amana Waterpark is a family-friendly destination offering basic accommodations and a variety of attractions. The water park boasts slides, 11 pools, and themed areas like the Jurassic Pool and Batman Pool. Guests can also enjoy zip line adventures and spa relaxation. Visitors appreciate the spacious wave pool, clean children's pools, and shaded areas. The park features cartoon and anime characters as well as a gift center for souvenirs.
(Back in March-2023) We had such a wonderful time at Amana Waterpark in Pandi, Bulacan! The place is huge and well-maintained, with so many pools to choose from. The wave pool was definitely the highlight....it felt like being at the beach but even more exciting. What made it more enjoyable was the variety of themed pools and the life-sized characters around the park, which made it fun for both kids and adults to take photos. The cottages were comfortable, and the whole environment was family-friendly and safe, with lifeguards always on duty. The staff were accommodating, the facilities were clean, and the rules were well-implemented to keep the place organised. It’s also very accessible from Metro Manila, which makes it a great quick getaway. Overall, Amana Waterpark gave us an unforgettable and refreshing experience. Highly recommended for families, groups of friends, or anyone looking to enjoy a fun and relaxing swimming adventure! 🌊💦

Disappointing Experience!!! Poor Customer Service and UNHYGIENIC Accommodations I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Despite offering overnight accommodations, their customer service is only available from 8 AM to 5 PM. We requested blankets at 6 PM and had to follow up twice, including asking the security guard at 9 PM. The blankets didn’t arrive until almost 10 PM, right before we went to sleep. The room itself was extremely unhygienic. The electric fans were covered in dust and barely pushed any air. The walls were also dirty and had layers of dust. Worst of all, the toilet bowl was disgusting!!! It's cracked and clearly not properly cleaned. For a place that promotes itself as a resort, this was a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience. Definitely not worth the price or hassle
Madel J — Google review
We went today, and unlike before, a lot of the pools were closed. The room we stayed in (Baguio Villa) is a two-storey unit, but it was really hot inside and everything felt old and poorly maintained. There was no kettle in the room, and when we asked, they said there wasn’t any available because the one used for training wasn’t returned. We even paid ₱1,600 for early check-in, but honestly, it wasn’t worth it at all. The adult pool was closed and the water looked like matcha. The wave pool, which used to be their main attraction, wasn’t working the whole Saturday and Sunday, with no prior announcement. Most of the food areas were closed too. Before, Amana’s charm was having so many pools to choose from, but now most are closed. It’s sad to see that our favorite go-to resort before seems to be going downhill. Honestly, it’s not worth coming back to anymore, which is really disappointing because we used to love this place.

Disappointing experience... Booked the viewdeck room: cr is not maintained well and looks dirty, no heater as well. Their blankets are thin. No phone nor wifi. Very outdated resort.
Erick R — Google review
Bad customer service surprised this got 4.1 stars lol, the room we booked is baguio villa. The bedroom is on the second floor and is hot as hell the aircon in the second floor is barely working, requested a fan 3 times and got ignored, we ask for just a simple fan literally an electric fan we can use because the aircon above is non-existent and they just ignore it. Younger staffs were nice, but a specific older woman were giving us unexplainable attitude. Upon reception our reservation was allegedly taken by someone else according to the receptionist then waited a few minutes to fix their mistake, but then we were forced to change room location because they gave our booked room to others. We know not to expect much from it but then just make it convenient is enough for a nice stay. Maybe do a day tour it's much more better than staying the whole night in a hot room
Jio C — Google review
Very disappointed that they are letting this place fall apart. No maintenance or repairs, it only has got worse each time that we had visited. None of the pools have working water filtering pumps or jacuzzi sprays. Wave pool without waves and only a few pools that are still usable. The rest of the pools are now just mosquito breeding grounds. Staff just sitting around as the place rots.

Inflatable Island, located in Olongapo City, is a massive beachside water park covering about 4,200 sqm and is known as the largest floating playground in Asia. It offers adrenaline-pumping activities such as inflatable slides, swings, bridges, towers, and human launchers with a unicorn theme that both kids and adults will enjoy. Additionally, there's a floating cinema for visitors to experience.
The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Each dish was well-balanced and beautifully presented, from the appetizers to the main course. The drinks were just as impressive. Whether you're into craft cocktails, a good glass of wine, or a classic non-alcoholic option, there’s something for everyone. Everything we tried was well-mixed and complemented the food perfectly. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. It's the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer. Overall, if you're looking for a place with consistently good food and drinks, this one is worth checking out. I’ll definitely be back.

I recently visit at Inflatable island and it was such a refreshing experience. The location is perfect—right by the beach with a stunning view of the ocean. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, making it very comfortable. The staff were friendly, approachable, and always ready to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The food served at the restaurant was delicious, offering both local and international dishes. One of the highlights was the beach itself—clear waters, soft sand, and relaxing vibes. The resort also had great amenities like a swimming pool, bar, and outdoor activities that kept us entertained throughout. Overall is a wonderful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful beach getaway. 🌊✨

If you're looking for a unique, adrenaline-pumping getaway, Inflatable Island in Subic, Philippines, is a must-visit! This floating water park is one of the biggest in Asia, and it absolutely lives up to the hype. From the moment you step onto the vibrant, pastel-themed shore, the vibe is all about fun, sun, and play. The inflatable course itself is massive – filled with slides, towers, swings, bridges, and obstacle courses that are perfect for kids and adults. It’s like a playground on water, and it brings out the inner child in everyone. What makes the experience even better is the aesthetic beach setup. The Bali-inspired lounging area with its signature pink umbrellas is Instagram-ready. Whether you’re there to play hard or chill by the shore, there’s something for everyone. 🤩

Our visit to Inflatable Island Subic was made special by the cheerful and helpful staff, particularly Migs at the front desk and dining area. He made us feel at home by accommodating us and providing an orientation on how to enjoy the resort. The food at the restaurant was delicious and worth the price. One area for improvement is the beach cleanliness, although it was understandable given the heavy rain the day before. Additionally, the barnacles under the inflatables could be cleaned and removed, as some of us sustained scratches and gashes. If you plan to visit and try the course, make sure to wear long-sleeve rashguards, leggings, aqua shoes with rubber sole, and even gloves if you can. The risk of getting scratches and cuts is really high because of barnacles and oysters attached to the inflatables. Apart from these issues, everything went well. We booked the whole day ticket but we only stayed for about 4 hours, and we only spent one hour on the inflatables.

I am an avid poker player, and found out that every day stating at 6pm the have PLO poker here! 25-50P stakes. It's a great game. The 25-50 Texas Holdem poker games starts every day at 4pm with a bonus for players that arrive before 4pm.

Looks large from the outside but not so much happening on the inside. Has 2 floors with fruit machines down stairs and cards up on the next level.

Maria S — Google review
First floor is nothing but slot machines, second floor is like 70% baccarat / 20% stud poker / 10% pontoon (blackjack variant), and third floor is a giant room for bingo. Antes for most games start at 500 pesos but it scales up as there are high roller tables too. Most tables had all 8 seats filled for most games so if you feel like gambling it's not a bad casino for a city that only has ~300k population.

SM City Clark

Mentioned on
15 lists
Shopping mall
Shopping
Located in the province of Pampanga, Philippines, SM City Clark is a popular shopping and entertainment destination just 90 minutes away from Manila. This expansive mall offers a wide array of retail stores, eateries, and entertainment options including a cinema and an IMAX theater. It's a favorite spot for families and friends to gather for a day out.
SM City is a well-rounded shopping destination with a variety of retail stores, dining options, and entertainment choices, making it a great place for families and individuals alike. The mall offers a mix of international and local brands, ensuring that shoppers can find what they need, whether it's clothing, electronics, or specialty items. The atmosphere is generally pleasant, with clean walkways, well-maintained facilities, and a secure environment. One of the mall’s biggest strengths is its diverse food selection. There are plenty of restaurants and snack shops catering to different tastes, from fast food to sit-down dining experiences. However, while most restaurants meet quality expectations, there are a few that fall short, particularly in terms of menu variety and ingredient quality. One noticeable issue is the lack of alternatives for those with dietary restrictions as I have. Some restaurants do not offer substitutions, which can be disappointing for customers who cannot eat certain ingredients, such as corn. Corn can be a health risk for some. In these cases, it may feel like a portion of the meal is wasted and there are no substations which affects the overall dining experience. On the positive side, the mall provides a convenient and enjoyable shopping and dining experience. For those who appreciate fresh, well-prepared food, some establishments stand out for their quality and service. As I continue to explore different restaurants within SM City and beyond, I will share more detailed reviews on individual dining experiences, including both highlights and areas for improvement. Overall, SM City is a solid choice for shopping and entertainment, with some room for improvement in specific dining options. It remains a good destination for those looking for a mix of leisure and convenience.

It's not the biggest but it has many branded shop fully-occupied with stalls in the center corridor. Has huge activity center, a merry-go-round for kids, starbucks cafe in the middle ground floor, and complete shops and entertainment for various needs.

SM City Clark is a very big and beautiful mall! It’s the largest mall in Clark, Pampanga, and has a really nice and modern design. There are lots of shops, restaurants, and fun places to visit. The place feels clean and spacious — perfect for family or friends to hang out and enjoy!

As expected, just like in all the other sm malls, air con, is always a key for a good shopping experience, and this time didn't. Disappoint . Super clean, and all the security. Staff, are always around.

Very large mall with a huge variety of stores. There is a Watson's pharmacy that has everything you might need. There is an IMAX theatre, a Baskin Robbins, Straw Hat pizza, HM clothing, SM department store, every kind of restaurant, even a Doughboy Donut.

Another excellent SM. Had a nice carousel, lots of tech stores, wellness centers and restaurants. Nice hypermarket attached. Park Inn by Radisson is basically attached and makes for a great place to stay.

Minalungao National Park was established in 1967 to conserve the picturesque Penaranda River and its environs. This natural area boasts stunning rock formations and offers visitors a range of thrilling outdoor activities such as cliff diving, fishing, raft rides, hiking, and ziplining. The park is promoted as an ecotourism destination by local authorities and provides opportunities for swimming and kayaking on the river. Adventurous tourists can also try their hand at rafting or cliff diving.
Budget friendly... You only need vehicle to reach the area but it's a good choice for group or family weekend get away. There are a bunch of stall to buy food and life jacket rentals.

Beautiful, small area to visit. Our driver was stopped at the top of the road to collect 100php entry fee per person. After parking we did a short walk to the cave entrance before heading back - cave entrance was less than a 5 minute walk/hike. There's a couple of restaurants to eat at. Overall it was a nice stop if you're already nearby, but don't think I'd drive far just for the experience. No cell reception or wifi here!
G C — Google review
Really beautiful place. The fee was kinda confusing on who is collecting it. More fees for the Picnic areas. Water is cool for swimming. They have a zipline too.
Joy K — Google review
Amazing adventure!! If you're up to the challenge of entering caves, zip line, hanging bridge, swimming in the river currents while in the balsa eating and enchanted with rock formation and limestones and nature sight seeing, then this is the place you want to be.
CELIA M — Google review
A small place that offers a beautiful experience When we visited this June 12,2024... The 1,000 steps and glass cross were not accessible because they are under renovation. The balsa and rock jumping was fun. Going into the cave was a bit risky because they did it after we got wet from swimming, and only with wet slippers on. I recommend going there first with your shoes in because going up using the rope and your leg strength requires good shoes.
Eka M — Google review
Great place for families friends there entrance fee 100 and parking 50 peso Extra for bamboo rafting zip line picnic huts Recommend very nice hiking swimming also having cave to explore path going is stoney so be careful
Iain S — Google review
Beautiful place, and you wouldn't need to spend much here. There are strong currents at certain areas so be careful, especially with children. You can rent a raft for the day which will also serve as your floating cottage. There is also a cave you can explore, a zipline, and a hiking area with a cross at the summit.

The Magnificent Marvels of Minalungao National Park: A Creative Journey Minalungao National Park in General Tinio, Nueva Ecija, is a stunning natural gem that offers a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility. Known for its breathtaking limestone formations and the emerald waters of the Peñaranda River, the park is a haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. On October 20, 2024, we set off from Eastwood City, eager to explore the natural beauty of Minalungao National Park in Nueva Ecija. The journey was an adventure, filled with winding roads, picturesque landscapes, and the thrill of the unknown. As we crossed bridges and passed through small villages, the scenery shifted from urban sprawl to lush greenery. However, our trusty Waze led us astray, directing us towards an inaccessible road in DRT Bulacan. Faced with this unexpected detour, we had two options: abandon the car and trek for an hour and a half or return to San Miguel Bulacan and find another route. Just as we were contemplating our next move, fortune smiled upon us. Col. De Guzman, the friendly owner of a nearby farm, offered to guide us to Minalungao National Park. His willingness to help turned our potential setback into a memorable encounter. Before continuing our journey, we enjoyed a simple yet hearty lunch—four eggs, two pieces of Canton noodles, and fresh ladyfinger vegetables, all expertly prepared by a local store owner. Refueled and ready, we dropped Col. De Guzman off at his home and set out once more. As we navigated the bumpy Barangay Bungo Road in Gapan, the thrill of adventure was palpable. We opted to sit in the back of the pickup truck, where the fresh air and stunning mountain views surrounded us. Every bump and jolt only added to the excitement as we embraced the beauty of the ride ahead. A Glimpse of Minalungao National Park As we arrived at Minalungao National Park, we were immediately captivated by its lush landscapes and dramatic rock formations, which created a stunning backdrop for our adventure. The park's beauty is undeniable, even if the conditions were not exactly as we had imagined. While we had hoped for the crystal-clear waters the park is known for, the Peñaranda River greeted us with a brownish hue during our visit. Yet, this didn’t deter fellow tourists from diving in and enjoying the refreshing swim. The towering cliffs surrounding the river provided an ideal setting for photography, and we couldn’t resist capturing the moment against such a breathtaking natural canvas. Despite the river's unexpected color, the park's allure was undeniable. We wandered along the banks, marveling at the unique rock formations and vibrant greenery. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and excitement, as families and friends made the most of their day in nature. Activities to Embrace at Minalungao National Park At Minalungao National Park, there’s no shortage of activities to keep visitors engaged and entertained. The hiking trails beckon adventurers to explore, leading to stunning viewpoints that reward every step taken. Each trail offers its own unique perspective of the park’s breathtaking landscapes, making it a haven for hikers of all skill levels. For those seeking a thrill, river activities like rafting provide an exhilarating way to experience the Peñaranda River. The rush of the water and the stunning scenery create an unforgettable adventure that’s perfect for groups or families looking for some excitement. Nature enthusiasts will also find joy in birdwatching and exploring the park’s diverse flora and fauna. The rich ecosystem is home to various species, making it a paradise for anyone interested in the natural world. A must-visit highlight is the cave, which holds intriguing stories from the locals. It’s said that before experiencing an earthquake, the cave could be accessed to another mountain approximately four kilometers away. Though the access may have changed, the cave still draws visitors with its mystique and beauty, making it a fascinating stop on any tour of the park.

Air Force City Park, located in the Clark Freeport Zone, is an impressive outdoor museum showcasing various aircraft used by the Philippine Air Force. Visitors can marvel at decommissioned fighter jets, propeller planes, and helicopters once utilized by the American air force during their time in Angeles City. The park offers ample space for leisurely strolls or jogging while providing opportunities to capture memorable photos. Additionally, families with children can enjoy playground facilities featuring monkey bars and slides.
We visited Airforce City during our granddaughter's school field trip. Old airplanes were on display. It was an educational experience for them. The place is large with ample playing area for the children.
Yam — Google review
Good place to picture with life sized airplanes. CR is not clean and only 1 for girls. Playground is all worn and some are broken and not safe for kids. Parking is big for cars, bus and motorcycles. There is a decent coffee shop in the park with aircondition if you want to cool off
Adrian M — Google review
You’ll find aircraft here that you don’t usually get to see up close! They look incredibly powerful and cool when viewed from just a few steps away. There’s also a café inside the park, perfect for taking a break if you get thirsty. I saw lots of people enjoying picnics in the shade of the trees — such a relaxing atmosphere!
Kana M — Google review
A small green space where four aeroplanes and a helicopter from the World War II era are displayed. A shaded path surrounds the park, making it a nice spot for a short walk, for example, with a dog. There are two playgrounds for children. There is also a (paid) parking lot and a café.
Anna K — Google review
I personally enjoyed coming here yer the plains are not in the best condition... you only need 1hr really... to wonder round the fue plains that are there... the playground for the kids is broken, and bits or the equipment are dangerous to use, so watch out if ur kids are going to play on the park
Andrew P — Google review
Un-loved park with exhibits in poor condition and barely readable information boards It's a disappointing visit really and sad that a better memorial can't be maintained
S T — Google review
Fun for a short trip. Perhaps best to go when it is cooler as not a lot of shade. Small cafe for refreshments and tons of parking. Nice bit of history with the decommissioned aircraft and a few pics. Otherwise not much to see unless you have a picnic or something.
Louis T — Google review
Air Force City Park in Clark used to be a nice spot, but it’s showing its age now. The walkway is cracked like tree roots pushed through it. The planes and helicopter on display are real, though none are functional. it’s more of a museum park. The playground’s in bad shape. Slides are gone, just ladders and monkey bars left. There’s a small café but I didn’t try it. Some say it’s perfect for picnics, but honestly the grass isn’t that packed and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you clean as you go. There’s trash everywhere even with “no littering” signs, which says more about the people than the park. Filipinos really need to stop treating public spaces like someone else will clean up after them. If you’re curious about old aircraft, it’s still worth a quick visit, but don’t expect much else.

Nestled in dense forest, Mt Pinatubo is an active volcanic peak known for its 1991 eruption, one of the most destructive in Philippine history. Despite this, it remains a popular destination for hikers and travelers. The hike to the summit takes two to three hours but rewards visitors with stunning views of the crater lake filled with blue-green water. Tour operators offer trekking packages to see this breathtaking sight.
A good place to hike. The local guide were very nice. The view at the top of the mountain is very satisfying.
Jamie Z — Google review
it was an amazing experience to see the beautiful disaster, even with the gloomy weather. for beginners, this was an easier trek (compared to the usual ones I’ve done). just be sure to stretch before you start, load up, wear the right gear, and bring tons of fluids to keep yourself hydrated. when we visited Mt. Pinatubo, the weather was unpredictable. we begin with a sunrise, then it poured. the good thing was, the path wasn't muddy, but some rocks were too slippery to step on, but the best thing was, my trusted hiking sandals didn't disappoint so I conquered those rocks with ease. we also prepared loot bags for the Aetas that contain snacks and candies. these were given away while we trekked. the 4x4 ride, which I thought would be quick, was surprisingly long; you could even nap during the trip! thankfully, ours had a hood cover, so no sand in our hair, and we rested comfortably both ways. I also bought a bamboo stick from the Aetas for 15 PHP because I didn't have a hiking rod. it served its purpose, nonetheless. we had one stop before we reached the actual start of the trek, and along the way, several vendors, sell grilled hotdogs, bottled drinks, and street food. when we reached the peak, there was no clearing, so we waited a bit for the skies to clear up. we also climbed down the stairs to be closer to the lake and have a tight view of Mt. Pinatubo. honestly, those stairs were more challenging and tiring than the actual trek itself, but fulfilling and meaningful. we wanted to stay longer, but the weekend crowd made it tough to enjoy the view, especially with the unpredictable weather. still, seeing the beautiful disaster up close, with the right people, made it all worth it.
Leanne M — Google review
the trek is amazing, an important information would be that during wet season the trek is 7.5km per way instead of the classic 3 on sep-march. however it is very enjoyable, bring lots of water and pack some food too.
Mathew V — Google review
Majestic !! Beginner friendly hike, the trek is 7.5 km per way (14km) and took around 2 hours each. The view from the top is great, but you can also go down to the crater caldera spring itself. We went around october 3rd week, no scorching heat at all, but i recommend bringing a hat still and some arm sleeves unless you wanna get tanned. The 4x4 ride was more of an adventure compared to the hike haha.
Chu L — Google review
Very nice trip! Amazing view! 1 hour of 4*4 drive from Capas, and then like 2.5 km easy walking to the crater. For foreign - you have to get entry permission to this trip. It is take like 15 days to get it from the air force authority.
צחי ש — Google review
A breathtaking experience with some drawbacks. Hiking Mt. Pinatubo is absolutely worth it—the views are stunning and the trail offers a unique mix of adventure and culture. We really appreciated seeing the simple, humble lifestyle of the local community along the way. However, I highly recommend avoiding weekends as the place gets very crowded. One major downside was the disorganized system at the 4x4 drop-off point. There was no clear queue, and the staff struggled to manage the crowd or properly group hikers. It created a lot of unnecessary confusion and delay. We joined a group tour, hoping it would ease the logistics, but unfortunately, the tour agency we booked with was unprofessional and didn’t handle coordination well either. Overall, Mt. Pinatubo is a must-see destination—but better planning and a more reliable tour operator would make the experience far more enjoyable.
Satrina M — Google review
The Pinatubo experience fails in my opinion in terms of the hassle of travelling to and from the base to where the hiking starts. The Mt Pinatubo itself especially the summit is something to behold, a majestic crater lake with lush trees and a fence-like structure molded by the last eruption encapsulating the whole mountain. If it was on the mountain it would be 10/10. Unfortunately even if you ride the best tours nothing will prepare you for the motion sickness that is about to unfold. I just think the local government needs to take measures to ensure the safety of people entering and exiting the area. For hikers it's an adventure but for people who just wanna try or if it's your very first time this mountain is quite easy to climb but the journey might make one sick from motion sickness. This is just my honest review. There are a lot of things that can be improved upon.
Anjo — Google review
I will not say much and will let the pictures do the justice. Super fun experience, beginner friendly hike to the crater. First time hiking and i cant wait to go on my next one! I suggest getting one of the tour guides, and go early so you can catch the sunrise! Immaculate vibes, bring snacks and water

Monuments & Statues
The Capas National Shrine is a historical memorial located in Capas, Tarlac, Philippines. It was built to honor the Filipino and American soldiers who were interned at Camp O'Donnell at the end of the Bataan Death March during World War II. A prominent feature of the shrine is a 73-meter-tall obelisk, symbolizing peace, surrounded by a black marble wall engraved with the names of more than 30,000 Filipinos and Americans who perished The boxcar was used during the Bataan Death March in WWII to transport Filipino and American prisoners of war to Camp O'Donnell. The conditions inside these boxcars were extremely harsh, with many prisoners suffering and dying due to the lack of ventilation, food, and water. The boxcar, which was about six feet long, eight feet wide, and six feet tall, could hold approximately 50 to 60 men.
Joshua I — Google review
This is a nice reservation with thousands of trees, planted in memorial of all those who died at the prison camp here. There is a nice wall with the names of the Philippine service members who died. There is a separate smaller monument for the Americans who died here as well. A particularly compelling part of this monument is the boxcar which was used to transport prisoners of war (in -atrocious conditions); this freight car is the last known of its kind.

50PHP to enter. Beautiful grounds. Learned a lot about the Shrine and appreciated the smaller little area to dedicate to the Battling Bastards of Batan.

It reveals how important peace is, war is never the answer, names on the wall like design each representing the sorrow and sacrifice each family made for their future. Brave soldiers🥲

It's a great place to walk around, admire the scenery and history, think about your life, relax, and more. The structures and monuments to look at are few and far between (you might have to walk for a bit to get from area to area), but they are meaningful and can get you to think about their history and what happened during the times of war. There are also many benches to sit around and talk to people you're with or to rest on. It's a great park with seemingly no disturbances at all. You are left to your own with nobody pestering you to buy something or ask for anything. Overall, it was a great experience and worthwhile if you have some things to think about or if you're interested in the history of the area!

Wonderful place to remember all those that died at the hand of the enemy. Went early so not crowded, almost missed the US section and the WW1 Era train boxcar they were packed into, literally like sardines. Very humbling and honored.

Nestled atop the aptly named Mount Resurrection, the Monasterio de Tarlac is a breathtaking sanctuary that draws both locals and tourists alike. This serene monastery features a stunning baroque-style chapel and houses an impressive 30-foot statue of Christ, whose outstretched arms seem to embrace all who visit. The site offers not only spiritual solace but also panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, making it an ideal spot for peaceful reflection or a leisurely picnic.
A peaceful and spiritual destination in the heart of Tarlac. Monasterio de Tarlac offers not only a place for prayer and reflection but also breathtaking views of the mountains and surrounding landscapes. The highlight is the large statue of Jesus, which is truly awe-inspiring. There’s also a chapel where you can attend mass or spend quiet time in prayer. The atmosphere is serene—perfect for those seeking peace and a break from the busy city life. If you visit on a Saturday and attend the 10:30 AM mass, you may have the chance to touch or be blessed by the relic of the True Cross—a truly moving and humbling experience. The area is clean and well-maintained, with ample parking space. There are also a few stalls where you can buy food, souvenirs, and religious items. The drive up is smooth, and the road is in good condition. Whether you’re visiting for religious reasons or simply to enjoy nature and the view, Monasterio de Tarlac is definitely worth the trip.

This place is worth the trip up the mountain. Though we did not really hike up much of the way but we still did a very short hike. The view of nature was really relaxing like you would want to stay there for a very long time. There are also restaurants up there but we did not try it during our visit. There are also souvenir shops where you can buy souvenirs for your loved ones. Just be cautious especially the ones selling honey. If you just want one bottle be firm about it as they will really talk you into buying more than what you need. So just politely decline if ever you encounter them. But all in all it is a good place to visit and bask at the beautiful sight of nature with fresh air to breath in. If you have elderly company make sure to accompany them even though they got walking sticks as the place is up hill.

Monasterio de Tarlac is a serene and beautiful pilgrimage site, with a chapel that offers a truly solemn and moving Mass. The peaceful atmosphere uplifts the spirit. However, the experience is marred by the aggressive hawking of vendors at the food center, which disrupts the solemnity and makes the place feel too commercialized.

Monesterio de tarlac is a must visit place for both a spiritual journey and an adventurous one. The roads leading to it is a lengthy yet beautiful path to take. First Time at Isdaan – A Feast with a Few Flops for Improvement. We visited Isdaan Restaurant in June 2025, finally giving in to all the hype. Coming from Mabalacat City, it took us about 1.5 hours along MacArthur Highway—definitely a mini road trip! The place is a visual treat! Think nature-meets-modern with a man-made pond full of koi giving off total “serenity with a splash” vibes. Food-wise, a few favorites weren’t available (RIP bulalo dreams 😔), but the kare-kare, garlic butter shrimp, and calamari totally made up for it. No pork for me, so can’t comment there. Rice, though? 80 pesos a cup! We paid ₱800 for 10 cups—felt more like buying a sack of rice than sides for shrimp. 😅 Service was okay, but the right-wing ladies’ restroom? Yikes. Tight squeeze, broken flush, and DIY “tabo” system. It needs serious TLC—especially for our dear plus-size queens. Still, overall? Good food, good vibes. If you're ever in Gerona, Tarlac, swing by Isdaan—but bring extra cash and maybe use the restroom before you go or try the left-wing restroom, I heard it's better. 😉🍤🐟

If you’re looking for a unique dining experience that goes beyond just great food, Isdaan Floating Restaurant is absolutely worth the visit! From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed by a festive, resort-like ambiance — complete with giant statues, themed huts over water, and cultural entertainment that gives off a true Filipino fiesta vibe. Food: The menu offers a wide variety of classic Filipino dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. The crispy pata, sinigang na baboy, and inihaw na tilapia were standouts. Portions are generous and perfect for family-style sharing. You can tell the ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are authentic. Ambience: Dining in a floating nipa hut surrounded by fishponds creates such a relaxing and fun atmosphere. The place is spacious, well-maintained, and has a lot of Instagram-worthy spots. Kids will love feeding the koi fish and watching the live performances.

Sights & Landmarks
The Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag, also known as the Manaoag Church, is a significant religious site in the Philippines. Pilgrims flock to this stately church to pay homage to the centuries-old ivory figure of the Virgin Mary and seek miraculous healing. The church's Gothic and Baroque architectural styles create a captivating ambiance amidst lush surroundings. Inside, vibrant colors and intricate designs adorn the sanctuary, enhancing the spiritual experience for visitors.
Went here on my birthday. There's a 6AM mass. Gates open at 4AM and you can access the candle lighting area. There's candle there that you can get for any amount of donation. You may want to ask multiple shops when buying religious articles as some offer lower cost especially when you are the first customer.

A Spiritual Gem: My Experience at Manaoag Church Visiting the Our Lady of Manaoag Shrine was truly a memorable and uplifting experience. As one of the most revered Marian shrines in the Philippines, it exudes a sense of peace and devotion that immediately touches the heart. The church’s stunning Baroque architecture is breathtaking — intricate details and a majestic façade make it a true visual marvel. What stood out most was the palpable faith of the pilgrims, many of whom come here seeking healing and blessings. The atmosphere is filled with hope, prayer, and a deep sense of community. It’s inspiring to see so many devotees, young and old, united in their devotion to Our Lady of Manaoag. Aside from its spiritual significance, the shrine also offers a glimpse into Filipino history and culture. The centuries-old image of Our Lady is a powerful symbol of faith for many, and participating in the novena or the annual feast day was a truly enriching experience. Overall, Manaoag Church is not just a place of worship — it’s a cultural and spiritual landmark that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you’re a devout Catholic or simply a curious traveler, a visit here promises a profound sense of hope and serenity.

I had the chance to visit the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag, and it was such a calming experience. The church is very peaceful, and the image of Our Lady is truly inspiring. I also liked how organized the place was, with areas for lighting candles and offering prayers. Outside, there are stalls for food and religious items which make the visit convenient. Overall, it’s a beautiful and meaningful place to visit—perfect for prayer and reflection. 🌸🙏

The Sacred Church stands as a breathtaking symbol of faith and artistry. Its majestic architecture features intricate stained glass windows, towering spires, and ornate carvings that narrate spiritual stories. The atmosphere within is serene and reverent, inviting reflection and devotion. The craftsmanship showcases centuries of devotion and skill, making it a timeless beacon of hope and spirituality. Visiting the Sacred Church leaves an inspiring impression of divine beauty and cultural heritage. Stood firm in faith together as a family.

It can get really crowded, especially on weekends and feast days. There’s not much ventilation inside, so it can feel a bit warm, but that’s understandable since many people come here to pray and make their wishes. Overall, it’s a beautiful and meaningful place to visit, it’s very famous too. 🙏🏼

Had our new car blessed… we have been bringing our previous cars to be blessed here. In the past… we can still park inside… now you have to pay outside for parking. There are also a lot of people selling stuff. Got our manaoag mama mary statue for 100 pesos. Though those sold by the parkimg attendant is charging it too much. 200 for small rosary. The church has not change since i was a small boy.
Magilas S — Google review
If you have never visited it before... You must go. Avoid the people who try to stop you to help you find parking. It's a scam, they will try to sell you candles that you can purchase near the church for p5 each. Other than that, you will need about an hour to really walk around the church and see what they have to offer. You will feel astonished and welcomed. I recommend visiting this church

Hundred Islands National Park Pangasinan

National park
Nature & Parks
Composed of 123 scenic limestone islands, this park offers hiking, snorkeling, kayaking & camping.
All the islands we went to had white sand, some even finer than then others. Lots of activities at Quezon Island (zipline, banana boat, etc). The locals are nice as well! Be careful of the jellyfishes esp at Marcos Island. They sting! We had the best time at Scout Island as it is not very crowded. By lunchtime, only 2 groups were left in the island so we had a quiet beach.
Irish S — Google review
This day trip is well organized good safety and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The best part is that there are no vendors or beggars to ruin your day. but you can enjoy all the impressions of your senses. nice beaches for swimming or snorkeling. the captain of the boat drove very nicely through the waves adjusted the speed perfectly. We visited 6 of the islands the view deck was worth all the steps 100+ gorgeous 360 degree views. everything was well maintained fresh water on some islands comes from the harbor.
Per C — Google review
Big day, sensational scenery and water sports, been meaning to do it, so glad I've finally got there and you know what? Cruising around those islands on a big banana was really cool!
Grant — Google review
This tourist destination was so much better than I expected. A day trip is not enough to visit all of the islands with interesting beaches, caves, viewdecks, statues. We only visited 3 islands since we enjoyed the trek and views in pilgrimage island, the beach and boardwalk in quezon island, and kayaking in children's island. I will definitely go back here to visit the other islands that we skipped. One of the best tourist spots in Luzon.

Beautiful area, loved the mid day sea food platter. Would absolutely go again.

A Memorable Island-Hopping Experience at Hundred Islands, Philippines Our family recently visited the Hundred Islands National Park in the Philippines, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The island-hopping adventure was one of the highlights of our trip, offering breathtaking views, crystal-clear waters, and a variety of activities that everyone in our group enjoyed. From kayaking and swimming in the pristine beaches to hiking up the islands for panoramic views, there was something for everyone. The scenery was stunning, and it was incredible to see the beauty of nature up close. One of the standout moments was enjoying a delicious traditional Filipino lunch. For our group of 20, we paid $120 for a sumptuous meal that included a wide selection of seafood, meat, rice, vegetables, fresh fruits, and refreshing drinks. The food was flavorful and a perfect complement to the relaxing ambiance of the islands. The entire trip was very affordable. For just $105, we got a private boat ride with life vests provided, along with an English-speaking tour guide who was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we had a great time. Hundred Islands is the perfect destination for families, offering a mix of adventure, relaxation, and cultural experiences. Whether you’re swimming, hiking, or simply soaking in the views, this trip is an unforgettable experience that we highly recommend to anyone visiting the Philippines.

A perfect day trip combining stunning views, relaxation, and fun exciting activities. The water is clear, and the islands are well-maintained. Highly recommended...
Jimmy O — Google review
This is the 2nd time we do the island hopping. Now we are bringing our friends from Sweden. The first day the island hopping was too windy and the waves were too strong. But the next day we had our wonderful island tour. Our guide was good and helpful, we visited all the islands we got tickets for, there were 6 of them. Nice walks up to the top and especially the nice Bonsai garden, which was not there before. Nice swimming and snorkeling beaches. A little too big waves out by the islands where you can snorkel and see many fish, hard to get up to the stern of the boat. It is a great shame that the boats do not have mufflers. You can't talk to each other during the boat trip. I wish the tourist office could do something about this in the future.
Per C — Google review
Great tourist spot to spend the entire day at. You can pick different islands you wanna visit. But be aware the weather gets very hot out, the water near the docking area at the entrance is pretty filthy. You have to ride a small boat to tour around the islands, it gets pretty rocky. But when you get closer towards the islands the water is very clear. It’s a beautiful place to visit and I highly recommend for visitors. Will definitely come back when I visit Philippines again!

The Hundred Islands National Park is the first Philippine national park and a protected area located in Alaminos, Pangasinan. Believed to have come into existence around 2 million years ago, the Hundred Islands is a spectacle of a total of 123 islands and an additional island during low tide. It is the first national park in the Philippines, as declared by former President Manuel L. Quezon on January 14, 1940. Each island has its own charm but the entire coast boasts a magnificence and uniqueness that can only be found in Pangasinan.
Adrielle O — Google review
An amazing place but it is a hike from Manila. The drive is about 4.5 hours each way. There are 123 or 124 natural islands in this park (the number varies during high tide) and there are a lot of activities to choose from. Just circling the islands by boat is amazing but you will also want to swim, snorkel, Zipline, hike, and even cliff dive (from within a cave on Marcos island). There's a lot to explore. I recommend going with a guided group to make the most of your time.
Ken W — Google review
Each island offers its own charm, ranging from powdery white sand beaches to limestone cliffs and vibrant coral gardens, making it a paradise for beach lovers, island hoppers, and nature enthusiasts.

Mines View Observation Deck is a popular spot in Baguio, known for its stunning views of the town and abandoned gold and copper mines. Situated at the extreme northeast of the city, it offers breathtaking vistas of the Cordillera mountain range. Visitors can enjoy beautiful sunsets and shop for local delicacies to take home.
Mines View Deck in Baguio offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Benguet mountains and old mining town sites. It’s a must-visit spot for first-time tourists, especially for photo opportunities and souvenir shopping. The view is stunning at sunrise, and there are plenty of stalls selling local crafts, snacks, and traditional attire for fun photo ops. Though often crowded, the scenic beauty and cultural vibe make the visit worthwhile. Just be prepared for some walking and expect cooler weather. It’s a perfect stop to appreciate the natural charm and history of Baguio.
Anne ( — Google review
Very cheap ticket, about 20 pesos each I think. The view is very nice but I don’t know if I agree keeping the horses there for show. There’s souvenirs and other sellers like plants on the site. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys site seeing and it wasn’t too busy.
Oliver C — Google review
We visited Mines View Park in Baguio and it was definitely worth the stop. The highlight is the viewing deck where you get to see a wide, scenic view of the mountains and valleys. It was a bit foggy when we went, but the cool air and peaceful vibe made it enjoyable. There are plenty of souvenir shops around selling local crafts, food, and plants. It can get crowded, especially during peak hours, so mornings or weekdays are probably the best time to visit. Parking is also a bit limited, so patience is needed. What I liked most was the atmosphere. Even though it’s busy, it still feels like a classic Baguio destination that’s part of the experience. The photo opportunities with the view, traditional attire rentals, and even the dogs and horses for pictures add to the charm. Overall rating: 4/5. A must visit for the view and the Baguio experience.

It’s good to be back here! The place feels so refreshing, and the view is truly mesmerizing. There’s a ₱10 donation upon entry. Inside, you’ll find plenty of pasalubong centers, some items, like local delicacies, are quite affordable, but the shirts and souvenirs can be a bit pricey. The food, such as inihaw na daing na pusit, corn, and other snacks, is also a little overpriced, but overall, it’s still a lovely experience!
Via D — Google review
Classic spot to visit… nature landscape view over a high mountain rock with cool photo shots (as the city is less scenic nature as the decades pass). Moreover, it gets too crowded. A lot of small businesses stalls or shops for pasalubong foods, delicacies, plants, native products, and a ton of souvenirs. One can rent out Igorot wardrobe or sit on a decorated horse / pony, and get authentic photos… though limited in location as it is not allowed to go to the prime spot mentioned above wearing said costume. Getting inside has relatively very cheap entrance fee.
Warren C — Google review
Although the scenery at the view deck is nothing short of breathtaking, the place is too crowded making it difficult to take a decent solo picture. Also, most of the park is occupied by souvenir shops and plant vendors making the park look a little displeasing to the eyes.
Paolo E — Google review
One of the most popular view deck, tourist destination in Baguio. Also a spot where you can buy souvenirs, pasalubong items and small ornamentals plant and vagetable seeds.
Mark C — Google review
If you’re visiting Baguio City, Mines View Park should definitely be on top of your itinerary! The moment you step onto the viewing deck, you’ll be greeted with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Benguet mountains, lush pine forests, and old mining town below. The cool breeze, fresh mountain air, and peaceful atmosphere make it the perfect spot to unwind, take photos, and appreciate nature’s beauty. Whether you’re an early riser catching the golden sunrise or a sunset chaser soaking in the warm glow over the hills, every moment here feels magical. There are also local stalls nearby offering native crafts, souvenirs, and the famous strawberry taho—perfect for a complete Baguio experience! The best part? The entrance fee is only ₱10 per adult, making it one of the most affordable yet rewarding attractions in the city. If you’re planning a trip to Baguio, don’t miss Mines View Park! It’s a place where nature, culture, and stunning scenery come together, an experience that captures the true charm of the City of Pines.

Burnham Park is a sprawling urban oasis in Baguio, known as the summer capital of the Philippines. The park features a manmade lake, gardens, and a grandstand for special events. Visitors can enjoy activities such as renting boats or bikes, skating at the rink, and indulging in local treats like strawberry or ube taho. It's one of the must-visit tourist spots in Baguio along with Mines View Park, Session Road, and the Valley of Colors.
Burnham Park is the vibrant heart of Baguio, offering a lively park experience from day till night. By day, the atmosphere can be peaceful and tranquil, perfect for a relaxing escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The iconic man-made lake at the center of the park is a major draw, where visitors can enjoy leisurely boat rides in rowboats or swan-shaped paddle boats. I think most of the boats cost 200 pesos for 30 minutes. Even if you're going solo or with a group, it's fun to row around the lake. Beyond the lake, the park buzzes with life. You can rent bicycles of all kinds, from single bikes to tandem bikes, and pedal along the designated paths. The open spaces are ideal for a picnic, jogging, or simply strolling through the beautiful Rose Garden and other landscaped areas. At night, the park’s ambiance transforms. A portion of Harrison Road, adjacent to the park, closes to traffic and becomes the famous Baguio Night Market. The area fills with stalls selling a vast assortment of goods, from thrifted clothes and souvenirs to local handicrafts. It's a bustling hub for bargain hunters. The air also fills with the delicious aromas of various street foods, making the night market a must-visit for a lively culinary adventure. The park's dynamic nature ensures there's something to enjoy from morning till late evening.

It was a great place where you can just stroll or sit and admire the view. There are also various activities to do in the area such as bikes, boats, and skates. You won't have to worry about food as well since there are various stalls for different kinds of food. There is also a small cafe within the area. The good thing also is that they have a public restroom.

A place we visit regularly... the kids playground is nice for energetic little ones, while the lake and its surrounding park are great for more relaxing walks. If you have time, and the energy, rent one of the 3 person bikes (yes, my wife and 2 boys fit in the bench seat just fine).

Location & ambiance: The park sits right in the heart of Baguio City, making it easily accessible from hotels, restaurants and commercial areas. You’ll find a mixture of lush pine trees, open lawns and a central lake that gives the place a relaxed, “escape-city” feel.

Burnham Park’s Bike Park area in Baguio is a delightful way to explore the scenic grounds on two wheels. For just ₱70, you can rent a bike for 30 minutes perfect for a quick, fun ride around the pond and gardens. The path is well-paved, flat, and safe, making it ideal for families, couples, or solo travelers. Along the way, you’ll pass fragrant pine trees, vibrant flowerbeds, and people enjoying the outdoors. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, with street vendors nearby offering snacks like taho and ice cream. It’s also stroller-friendly if you’re with small kids. The rental process is straightforward just present ID, pay the fee, and you’re off! In busy periods, queues can form, but they move quickly. Whether you’re a casual rider or just want a charming way to tour Burnham Park, this bike rental experience is affordable, enjoyable, and showcases the park’s lush beauty and cheerful ambiance.

Walking distance of 400 to 500 meters from Mines View Park. But they have a few parking slots inside. Went quite early so no queue! Strawberry jam was unavailable so tried other products I am not familiar with. Became a fan of their ube flakes and ube crinkles.

Every time we go to Baguio it is a must to visit the Good Shepherd to buy the ube jam. We go there on weekdays, that is one of the good decisions that we had because of less tourists. As of this writing, ube jam cost php 350 with limit of 2 bottles per person

Snowballs is their best product!!!! Next is the ube jam. Can't miss this place whenever I'm in the city of pines. No lines on weekdays

Get your Ube jam here as this is the official outlet. Freshest stock at the lowest price compared to resellers. Although expect long lines during peak hours and it is recommended to go morning time. Parking is being actively managed/monitored by helpful guards and its mostly park-shop-and-go in around 15mins or so.

Me and family have been going to good shepherd when i was young. Now that i have a family of my own… we also go here for all of their products especially ube jam. But during weekends and holidays, there so many people… surprisingly when we went on a Monday and no holiday… the ube jam was unavailable. Oh note, compared to when i was younger, they now have a great view of the mine…

When we went here around noon, items were almost sold out Taste: good Staff: good Remarks: Lets wait for the renovation to completed and lets see if theres improvements. Many peps still choose to go in long line for thier authentic products such as ube jams. But I gotta warn you that you can only bought 3 jar (per person) due to limited stocks.

The place to buy the best ube jam in Baguio. They have other selections like Kalinga coffee, lengua de gato, peanut brittle (filled up inside, not just the outside), and so much more. The venue is actually very nice with a good view of the mine's view valley and a mini-park for the station of the cross. It's quite organized now given the number of people buying their goodies and plenty of available parking space. And btw, that's a rainbow tree by the men's CR outside for those who haven't seen one in person 😆

Nestled in the northern highlands, the BenCab Museum is a haven for art enthusiasts and culture aficionados alike. Showcasing an extensive collection of artworks by Benedicto Cabrera and other esteemed Filipino artists, this 12-gallery sanctuary also features indigenous exhibits from the Cordilleras. The museum's commitment to promoting arts and preserving the environment and traditions of the region is evident throughout its displays.
One of the best museums I've been to and perhaps the best museum in the Cordillera Region. The place is also trendy and usually a lot of visitors on weekends. It has a cafe at the lower ground level adjacent to a beautiful garden.

Explored the area with young adults. I would have soaked in more at the gazebo below the museum if we had time. You can easily finish the place in a breeze. Overall, I think the ticket price is reasonable in order to maintain the museum. There’s cafe also at the basement. Would love to see this place expand since it embodies the culture of the cordillera people.

A bit far from the city center. Going there is easy, but going back mahirap, less taxi and jeep. Better if may sariling car. A Peaceful & Artsy Escape at BenCab Museum Visited BenCab Museum earlier today with my friends and it was such a refreshing experience! The blend of nature and art is just perfect—every corner of the museum feels like a photo-worthy moment. We especially loved the serene garden area with its statues and lush greenery (yes, we had to take pics on the grass!). The museum itself showcases a mix of contemporary and indigenous Filipino art, which we found both inspiring and educational. Definitely a must-visit for anyone who appreciates culture and creativity. Museum entrance: Php200 Food price range: Php 300+ - 500 We also had lunch at their café—great food, cozy ambiance, and a stunning view of the mountains. The prices are a bit higher compared to restaurants in Baguio city proper, but the quality and atmosphere make it worth it. All in all, it was a lovely day filled with art, nature, and laughter. Highly recommended for a chill Baguio side trip!
