Aru Valley is a beautiful, calm and scenic place, During Pahalgam tour in March, 25 vusited this place. It can be reached by Union taxi frim Pahalgam. The meadows and snow-covered peaks looks very pleasant. There is on wild life sanctuary doesn’t have much to offer unless you’re extremely lucky to spot something unique. The place is good for short hikes and horse rides. The infrastructure and facilities are also quite basic.

Sinthan top is breathtaking. a not to miss place for sure if you are an adverture seeker.

Visited in June 2024. It is a mountain pass and a popular tourist destination. Around 4hrs one-way drive from Srinagar. It is a starting point of many trekking routes to upper region. The location has frozen ice most of the time around the year and will snow even summer time if it rains. Moreover, the view during the drive up to the Top is wonderful. But it is not a proper spot for children. If you don't bring own warm cloths, then you can rent on the way and also on the top. However, check carefully and bargain. They tend to give faulty jacket and other items. Also you can find snow-jets for rent and they will take you little higher than the normal area. But the cost is too much high.

This view point is located at 12000ft high from sea level. Covered with snow at mere places even in June. Adventure activities like snow bike, sledging are available with higher cost. Wearing snow jackets, gloves and boots which are available in rental basis are advisable to enjoy the climate prevailant there. Worth visiting once in a lifetime.

Pilgrims travel to the shrine, which is managed by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, from the base town of Katra, a journey of about 13 km. I was in this temple with my friend. Mother will provide peace, prosperity and good health to the devotees.

Visiting Mata Vaishno Devi was a truly divine and unforgettable experience. This was my first time going through the Tarakote Marg, and I must say it was a wonderful choice. The entire path is very calm, clean, and beautifully surrounded by nature. Walking through the peaceful route with greenery and mountain views gave a deep sense of positivity and devotion. The arrangements along the way were also good — resting points, clean washrooms, and food facilities were easily available. The environment was safe and well-maintained, making the yatra comfortable for families and elderly people as well. Reaching the holy Bhawan and having darshan of Mata Rani was an emotional and spiritual moment. The chants of “Jai Mata Di” echoed everywhere, filling the air with divine energy. It truly felt like all worries disappeared and blessings showered upon us. Overall, it was a peaceful and heart-touching experience. I will always remember this first yatra through Tarakote Marg — full of faith, nature, and serenity. Jai Mata Di! 🙏

Beautiful, humbling place. There was so much to experience from the Golden temple to the jora service to the langar service to the gold sewa workshop. The museums on-site are also there to serve as a reminder of the resilience that Sikhs have had to have to survive and become a large community. There are many gurudwaras and soravars (lakes) on-site to take amrat as well. To be able to sit under the trees that some of the Gurus had done so was also wonderful. A beautiful place to visit.

The pathway around the sarovar is peaceful for sitting or walking, especially in the early morning or late evening when the lighting makes it look magical. Overall, Sri Harmandir Sahib is not just a religious place but a symbol of peace, equality, and faith. No matter what your background is, you’ll feel a deep sense of spirituality here. Needless to add this place is absolutely magical especially early morning between 3.30 am and 5.30 am. It is absolutely breathtaking. A must visit at that time. One can sleep later during the day. The serenity an peacefulness is something one must experience.

A divine place. I have almost zero knowledge of Sikhism. But when I stand in th3 queue for 4 hours that is when I felt the presence different energy. I have been to Kashi, Ujjain and every where u have to stand in queue. A lot of pushing touching, but here people are standing together with families but with pure energy and devotion to "Guru"🙏

Khajjiar Lake is situated in the middle of Khajjiar Valley. This is a small lake with lots of fishes. When we visited the lake most of the lake was covered with water grass. I think this lake need more maintenance.

Nice place. Much commercialized, but the beauty is superb, in the winters, when I got to see the frozen lake, making the place all white. I could only imagine, how much beautiful, it would be, if the place is remote with very less people. That would be gem in the middle of the forest. But the place is very much in demand, with lot of people visiting here & lot of business, activities, selling of products, etc going on. Resulting in lot of vehicles, traffic, mud, jams, horns, which takes away some of the serenity & beauty of the place. But, even then, a frozen lake is beautiful, which you mesmerize most. The place is, though quite clean, even after so much of human activities going on. Worth a visit. I visited Khajjiar shortly after the monsoon (one of the best seasons to visit). It is a sprawling green meadow with a marsh lake in the middle and surrounded all around by deodar trees. There is a cottage run by Himachal tourism situated right in the meadow (the iconic photo that you see when you search Khajjiar in Google), where you can book your stay through the Himachal tourism website. It was lush green and the weather was pleasant in September. The good thing about Khajjiar is that it's not overcrowded (yet). There is so much fresh air and tranquility. You can take a good walk around the perimeter and then sit on a bench and enjoy the view how much ever you want. This place is a great escapade from the noise and crowd of the city.

Trekking at Dainkund Peak was an unforgettable experience, offering a perfect blend of serenity and natural beauty. As I ascended the trail, a peaceful silence enveloped the surroundings, broken only by the soft rustling of leaves and the distant calls of birds. The path meandered through lush green meadows and dense forest patches, gradually leading me above the clouds. Walking amidst the mist and cool mountain breeze felt surreal—as if nature itself had paused in quiet admiration. From the summit, the panoramic view of the surrounding was breath taking. It was a soul-refreshing journey, where every step brought a deeper connection to nature.

Amazing trek with beautiful panaromic.views.It is highest point of Dalhousie.I would say more scenic and beautiful than Khajiaar.It takes hardly half an hour to reach top from base. Complete the trek to reach Pohani Mata temple. Please seek advice from locals in case of inclement weather

Trek is easy. First 600 meters of the treck is inclined after that it's easy and the path is straight. Pohlani mata temple is at the peak and you can view manimahesh kailash if there is no fog. And the view is so amazing literally so beautiful. If you're visiting Dalhousie you must go here.

One of the Best Place to visit Daikund Trek if you are planning to go to Dalhousie. It’s a 1.5 km trek. The gates will be closed on 4:00pm. Try to reach early. Must carry your water bottles, you will definitely need it. At the top there is a popular Pholani Devi Temple. View from the top is mesmerising. You will definitely love and enjoy it.

On return from Dharamshala to Chandigarh we planned to visit Masroor Rock cut temple. It is a real wonder as temples are built on one Rock just as in Ellora. Though temples were affected by 1905 earthquake but one can see the temple. Restoration work is going on and idols have been kept for worship. However no one is allowed to offer money.

A monolithic rock cut temple of around eighth century. The place is not so popular among tourists. The architecture is wonderful and amazing. Although it was damaged by the 1905 earthquake, still what remains is awesome. A must visit for history lovers.

Its a beautiful place depicting the famous and fabulous culture of punjab... They charge you at the entry and then everything inside is free of cost..there are plenty of things to do inside... they have live dance performance also... Its a vast area..you will require a lot of time to visit every corner of this place..

The thali was good however there was no fresh safed makhan or makki ka roti or even gulab jamun. The chai was poor because there was no option for no sugar the ladies who made the parantha were never listening to my grandmother who is seventy years old and kept giving her rotis not fresh tawa ka parantha. And the dancing was great however the music is deafening. However the kulfi, dhai Bhalla were amazing, the magic show was great however the chuski was too sweet, I would not recommend bringing the elderly to eat the snacks as it was way too sweet. In the whole Havel was good however this rangale punjab was poor as they didn’t have that many Punjabi food

Great place to enjoy evening. Staff is very nice and food at stalls and main room was awesome. Everything we tasted was superb. It’s an entertainment for family of all ages. Only problem was with astrologer who seems to be a fraud….. used a same old story which frauds use to extract money from you by scaring you. We saw this in Chokhi Dhani Jaipur too but there the guy was good and gave us option.

A must visit place in Jalandhar. Hidden places, things, culture, games everything is preserved there. The food is delicious and they serve it with smileand they will make sure, you are tummy full before leaving

Locatuon is good right at the highway. Inside atmosphere is good but areawise is not so big. Cultural programme is great. Punjab old cluture is displayed everywhere which is good to see if you have come for the first time Inside a big restaurant is there which is included in the entry ticket but frankly I didnt like the food inside and the biggest reason is - We had so many small meals/ food around the restaurant ( stalls everywhere like chaat, candys, ice cream etc) inside and we got full and there is no place left for the dinner. We suggest you to have the fresh baked roti with makkahn and chutney stall and enjoy other small meals ( chaat, pani puri, candys, ice cream kulfi, aam panna jaggery tea etc.), for diner you can opt after sometime post your digestion. Evrything is included in the entry ticket. Overall I feel the entry ticket 1000 is over priced as the place is not so big and also the food option is limited. One time visit is good.

While the garden is beautiful and well maintained; it feels very mechanical, just made for the sake of the city because the city is like the cities abroad. Garden is big and if you want to spend some peaceful time, then only you should visit.

Rose is one of the best attractions in Chandigarh. If you like roses and greenery you must visit this place. Although Chandigarh is very green but this place an its own vibe.

We went in November but there were almost no Rose's flowering. So better visit in February. But very nice garden to sit and relax.

It is a very nice and big garden where you can easily spend 2 to 3 hours. Childrens play area are also there. There are lots of varities of roses from all over the world. You can scan their QR code and know more information about them. Better to visit in winters as roses are more blossoms in that season.

I visited Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh early morning recently, and it was a refreshing experience! This man-made lake, built in 1958 by Le Corbusier’s team, is a serene spot with calm waters reflecting the Shivalik hills. The early morning vibe was magical—cool air, chirping birds, and a stunning sunrise painting the sky. The walking path was perfect for a peaceful stroll, and I loved watching locals jogging and practicing yoga. The nearby café served tasty snacks, adding to the charm. However, some areas had litter, which slightly detracted from the beauty. Also, more benches would’ve been nice for resting. Despite these, Sukhna Lake’s tranquility and scenic views make it a lovely spot to start the day in Chandigarh.

I have been visiting this place and it remains an incredible destination to relax and reconnect with nature. Sukhna Lake, a serene reservoir at the foothills of the Shivalik Hills in the Himalayas, is an integral part of Chandigarh’s planned cityscape. Even today, it stands as one of India’s most famous artificial lakes and planned city, offering a tranquil experience with still waters. Nestled at the forefront of Sector 1, the lake is surrounded by lush forests and sits adjacent to the governor’s residences of both states. The morning sunshine here is truly mesmerizing, creating a magical aura for early risers. Joggers, walkers, and yoga enthusiasts find their perfect spot along the lake’s edge to embrace the refreshing start of the day.

Everything A grade, only to reach there especially for elderly is bit difficult.As vehicles are not allowed and got to walk steep road for 4 to 5 km is difficult . Govt should start e rickshaws for public.

This is the highest point of Kasauli. Took a cab all the way up to the air force sub station. From there it was a 30 min climb (would have been much faster if I was alone). It is just a lot of stairs but they are nicely paved and well maintained. Senior citizens and even 70+ year olds also come up if they take a lot of rest in between (there are places to sit and rest). The temple at the top has a peaceful vibe. There are monkeys here and you'll be instructed to not carry food in your hand. If you have the "prasadam" from the temple, carry them in your pockets. This is also known as the Monkey point or Manki point. Our cab driver told us "Manki" is not a spelling error but refers to the hindi word "mann ki" (something related to heart/soul) but not sure about it's authenticity. The main downside of visiting this place is that it is close to the air force station and all electronic devices are prohibited - meaning no photography at all. Most of the pics you see here on this pin are actually from different places in Kasauli (added erroneously ...smh). Some pictures of the temple can be taken from a km away from the Gilbert Trail if you zoom in. There is a paid locker where you submit your bags and devices and go for the hike.

Temple is located at 6500 feets. 300 steps to climb. Only taxis are allowed from Mall Road Car Parking or you trek for an hour. Mountain views are awesome. It is believed that during Lord Hanumans flight from himalayas bringing Sanjeevani booti his left foot was rested on this hill and hence the importance of this place. Mobiles, photography etc strictly prohibited 🚫 in this area.

Its a beautiful temple located on mountain top of kasauli. The visiting time is till 4pm all around the year and 1-2 is lunch time. There is no Entry fee. Taxi service is available from mall road to manki point for 200-250 rupees per person but I would highly recommend to cover the beautiful trail on foot as you get to enjoy the beautiful path. Its is hardly 3-4 kms and an easy trail. If you are lucky enough you get to see the valley covered with beautiful flowers specially during monsoon (mid July- September end). Or you can choose the small path going via sunset point which connects to manki point in between and is about 1-1.5kms and slightly steep. Phones, smart watches and bags are not allowed inside the temple area as it is a Cantt area and you can submit your belongings by paying some charges. Carry cash as you will be needing it for buying food/water inside the temple premises. After entering the cantt area, temple is half kilometer on top with 282 stairs. You can enjoy the view from top. Beware of monkeys if carrying food items.

the Sanjeevani Hanuman Temple is a must visit place in kasauli. Located atop a mountain, the temple is accessible only by foot. Be aware that it's situated within an Air Force station, meaning no mobile phones or electronic devices are allowed inside. A paid locker facility is available to store your belongings before you proceed. Security checks are mandatory before entering the temple area. Please note that many Google Maps photos for this location are inaccurate due to the no-phone policy; they often depict other Kasauli locations. Despite these restrictions, the temple itself has a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere and is definitely worth the trek. One important tip: monkeys are abundant, so don't carry food items or other stuff in your hànd and it's advisable to visit in a group.

Amazing experience, slightly tiring as you have to climb your way and it’s steep. You get a beautiful view of Kasauli from the top, as it’s the highest point there and certainly hold high religious value and gives peace. A must visit place, if you are in Kasauli. No entry fee, no electronic gadget or cameras allowed but they have a paid counter to deposit your belongings safely.

The palace’s charm adds to the experience, although it does attract many day visitors, which can feel a bit crowded at times. If you're seeking absolute peace, this occasional rush might be a minor disturbance. 🛏️ Room: The Deewan room was spacious and well-maintained. However, the bathroom was quite small and resembled that of a typical home, with a few minor issues that could use attention. 🍽️ Restaurant: The food was tasty and the service was excellent. We had a small concern with one of our meals, but the staff handled it with great professionalism and ensured we were satisfied. 👨‍💼 Service: The staff were courteous and responsive. When we encountered a misunderstanding with another guest, the team handled the situation respectfully. A special mention to the hotel manager for being genuinely helpful and kind. ✅ Verdict: Despite a few minor hiccups, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The mix of heritage, nature, and attentive service made it a memorable getaway.

I went there as a day tourist. Paid Rs 200 per person as entry fee only to be surprised that many sections are closed due to ongoing shooting (photography). You are literally on your own to explore this area with no guidelines or signboards except one board at the entrance depicting story of this palace. Restaurant is just ok and service is very slow. Overall waste of money. They should allow to.adjust the entry fee against restaurant bill. Currently you can adjust it only against room charge

Chail Palace is a beautiful heritage property surrounded by pine forests and serene mountain views. The architecture and royal interiors give you a glimpse of its glorious past. The palace grounds are peaceful, well maintained, and perfect for a relaxing walk. It’s a great spot for photography and to enjoy the calmness away from the crowded hill stations. There’s also a small café/restaurant to enjoy snacks while soaking in the view. Truly a must-visit place if you’re in Chail or nearby Shimla.

We want to explore this palace, they also charged an entry fee of Rs 200 per person, but they didn’t let us see the propert, rooms were locked, there is only playground. So entry fees is not worth it to pay. There is great view inside, weather is really good.

Chail Palace is a beautiful heritage property set in the middle of nowhere, which makes it a nice pit stop if you’re passing through. We stopped here for lunch, and while the menu is fairly limited and leans heavily toward Indian cuisine, it does offer a nice selection of Himachali dishes. We tried a mix of both, and while the Indian food was decent, the Himachali dishes were excellent. The staff was very kind, attentive, and courteous. That said, the condition of the palace itself was somewhat disappointing. It clearly has immense potential but needs much better upkeep and maintenance by the authorities. It would also be wonderful if guided tours or displays were available to share the history of the palace with visitors. Unfortunately, during our visit, there was a film shoot happening, and the property looked messy and disorganized, with equipment and clutter lying around. Overall, it’s a beautiful place with great cultural value, but it deserves far better maintenance and presentation.

Government operated Heritage property located in lush surroundings with beautiful views. The property itself is in run down condition and needs urgent TLC. Restaurant serves very good food. Service is OK. We stayed in deluxe room. The room was in poor condition. Carpet, drapes and linen were all faded, worn out and need immediate renewal. This place can do wonders if the control of the property is handed over to top end private operators

Peaceful and Scenic Experience at Kali Tibba Temple I really enjoyed my trip to Kali Tibba Temple in Himachal Pradesh. The place is surrounded by beautiful mountain views and has such a peaceful vibe — perfect for a calm and spiritual experience. We went there by car; the roads are a little tricky and narrow in some parts, but the drive is totally worth it once you reach the top. This temple is special as it is located at the top of a hill. The view from there is amazing. You can see beautiful valleys all around that temple. Vehicles can be parked inside the temple area as well but in peak seasons parked vehicles queue can go out on the roads as well. Talking about the temple, it is beautiful but not clean. We are taking off our shoes before entering, they should clean the area where people come to worship. They made a way to the toilet from inside the temple, it means we are barefoot and they expect us to go to the toilet (dirty toilet) and they didn't even provide slippers. Everyone knows with whom I'm comparing this.

I felt blessed here.. luckily I went on Sunday. It was a great and view from the top was very beautiful. You can see around the mountains clouds even little rain. It's a mahakali mata temple. Situated on the top of the highest hill in the region. A nice scenic place to go to for the views are beautiful. Can have a birdeye view of the surrounding hills and towns. Better spend some time here for you will have nothing more to do in chail more than this and a small bazaar which suffices basic needs and groceries. The place has a beautiful and scenic road to go to with pine forests and oak trees. The place is reached by a road through the chail sanctuary, however nothing to be seen as multiple shops and homestays have made wildlife thriving difficult. Lucky if you can see any. A shiv temple at the tibba has different shivlings made of gold silver mercury and flint. A must to see if you are a shiv bhakt

A beautiful place and main attraction in Kurukshetra. It is surrounded by ghats and the land of Kurukshetra is considered holy as the war of Mahabharata was fought here. It’s calm, well-maintained and a really good place for a stroll. Would definitely recommend to visit if you’re in the city.

10/10 place. I went there for just hanging out. The weather inside is amazing. Beautiful scenery. You can roam around the whole place. Imagine how the movies were shot there. See the rich history of the building. The pictures I shot were pure gold. There is also a ticket to enter of ₹25 and I suggest you to take your own personal vehicle there but it is not a necessity.

The place was overcrowded, which took away from its natural charm and made it hard to enjoy the serene vibe I was expecting. The rock formations and cold water are impressive, and it could be a lovely experience if you manage to go at a quiet time. But if you’re looking for a calm, reflective escape or somewhere to just breathe and soak in nature, this isn’t the best choice on busy days

After spending days in the hills, visiting Gucchipani felt like a refreshing little adventure. The place is known for its natural cave formation where a cold stream flows right through the rocks — and walking barefoot in that crystal-clear water is pure fun. As soon as I entered the narrow cave, the temperature dropped and the sound of running water echoed beautifully. Sunlight peeking through the gaps above created a magical vibe. It’s not a long trek, but every step inside feels like walking into nature’s own secret tunnel. The water was icy cold — perfect to beat the heat — and it was amazing to just sit near the waterfall at the end, dip your feet, and let the calmness sink in. Outside, there are a few small cafes serving Maggi, chai, and pakoras — the perfect mountain snack combo after the walk.

The crowd ruined the experience as there was hardly any space to truly appreciate its beauty. The cave was overcrowded, and the water flow was minimal—made worse by the number of people, making even the dirty water hard to see. The ticket price is ₹30 per person. It’s better to go on foot, as the route is not suitable for cars or other vehicles. To enjoy it properly, avoid visiting on weekends or during rainy days.

The place is easy to reach and has basic facilities like changing rooms, lockers, and food stalls nearby. However, it can get quite crowded on weekends and cleanliness could be better. Try to visit early morning for a calmer vibe. Avoid going during heavy rains as the water level rises quickly. Overall, a must-visit place for a short getaway or a fun day with friends and family.

It’s a good natural place to visit in Dehradun. You can walk through the natural caves in the water and if you keep walking in the end you get of caves but can still walk with the stream. There are some spots to jump in and play in the water. Near the entrance there are so many shops selling swim clothes, renting flip flops and providing locker and changing room service. It’s very popular place and hence very crowded. There is plenty of parking space but since it gets crowded it can hard to find a parking spot. I would suggest coming early in the morning to avoid the crowds and also have enough time to explore. The river can be dangerous and is prone to flash floods. Be careful in rainy season and follow the advice of the staff.

It's a very beautiful & amazing place to hang out with your loved ones. Once you enter you'll be mesmerized by it's scenery & you can take dive into the waterfalls. The ticket price is 35rs for adults but the drawback is they only accept cash no option for online, so you better carry the loose money. Entry was smooth as we went there early so there was no rush as such. You have to wear slippers because of the waterfalls. You can rent the slippers as there were many sellers. One of the Shaktipeeth where Maa Sati's head was said to be fallen. The temple is on a hill with amazing views from all sides. The trek not too long and properly paved can be steep in some places so recommended to take frequent breaks if your not used to the trekking. There is a option for cable cart but it was not operation during the time we visited (Mid Aug). At the top the air feels fresh and very calm.

I went for the evening aarti at Surkanda Devi temple and honestly it was such a peaceful experience. The whole place had this divine energy, and with the cool breeze blowing. The view from the top was just breathtaking – mountains covered in mist and the sky slowly turning golden. When the bells started ringing and the aarti began, it gave me goosebumps. This is my once in a lifetime experience getting to the feet of Mata Surkanda Devi at 10000 ft above. There are two ways to reach the Temple. Trekking and Ropeway. We took ropeway as we were with Senior Citizens. Also the trekking is difficult. Taking Ropeway is also time saving. It's so peaceful above and literally above the clouds. Amazing experience.

Ram Jhula is one of the most visited places in Rishikesh. It's the way to Famous Ashrams like Parmarth Niketan, Geeta Bhawan, Beatles Ashram. Also you can go to taxi stand for Neelkanth Mahadev and also paidal marg for the same. It has beautiful ghats for Maa Ganga Snan. Very scenic in evening and night. Also breeze in the night on this bridge is very calm and serene. Best month to visit Rishikesh and Ram Jhula is October and November. Please do not litter on these Holy places. Be kind to all. I went ther recently with my friends to enjoy the weekend. We booked our hotel near ramjhula to enjoy the ganga view,also rafting and more adventure activities. As we know about ramjhula Ram Jhula is a long hanging bridge in Rishikesh built over the holy Ganga River. It connects two sides of the town and is used by people walking, cycling, and visiting temples. When you stand on the bridge, you can see the clear water, green mountains, and colorful boats. The wind feels cool and fresh. Many tourists come here every day to enjoy the calm environment. In the evening, the lights around the bridge make it look even more beautiful and peaceful. It is a famous place to visit.

The most bustling place in Rishikesh where you need to visit once you visit Rishikesh. It's the suspension bridge and most of the famous ashrams are situated on either side of the Ganges once you cross the bridge. You can enjoy boating in the Ganges also, which is near this suspension bridge. There are plenty of eateries nearby where you can have lunch or quick bites. Visit with adequate amount of time for optimum enjoyment.

When you will just cross Ram Jhula, turn left side (instead of right)100 meter, a beautiful view is waiting for you.you will find benches on the bank of Ganga or you go down on sand beach. Opposite to benches economic and good guest houses are available @₹700-₹3500. If you want go to some crowded place or market then turn right from Ram Jhula. There you may participate in ganga aarti, shoping, fooding, tea, coffee, etc. Yes, walking around is nice, when you reach Laxman jhula must enjoy Honey-ginger lemon tea.

Hanging bridge joints left bank of Ganga River to Right bank where Swargashram is situated. In Rishikesh it's about 500 metres long and 10 feet width. I have vitnessed almost all famous aartis of GANGAJI at Haridwar and Rishikesh during the trip but Aarti at Triveni Ghat is One of the best Gangaji Aarti I have. View of Sunset is just refreshing. And only Aarti where everyone is allowed to do Aarti at Free of cost by the management. Management themselves provide Aarti thalis to many people and they shares thalis with each other so each and everyone can enjoy and participate at Aarti. And story doesn't ends here, Bhajan starts after Aarti and surely you will get goosebumps if you have vitnessed the joy. In short don't miss it if you are visiting Haridwar and Rishikesh.

Well managed. Entry is started at 5 pm for the Arti at 6 pm. Orderly queue is started at 5. People pay to offer 'special' puja, and they're allowed to/ are conducted fpr puja before the Aarti begins. It's well choreographed. Quite a spectacle.

A very beautiful place to be if you are spiritual. Usually a must visit when the Ganga Aarti happens. Usually during winters the Aarti happens at 5.30pm however it's important that you reach there 20 minutes earlier to get the front seats.

Beautifully located on the top of the mountain with Har Ki Pouri beneath it. The road ,if you go walking, is all winding and will take a long time to reach the top. There is cable car service which is pretty crowded but well organised and takes you up in minutes. The view on the way up or down is awesome, with Ganga stretching out for a very very long distance, the Har Ki Pouri, the bridges, etc you can see and the majestic mountains surrounding the area. The temple was quite crowded and people were unruly pushing and pulling, no crowd control as such. Even the darshan was difficult as people were pushing from the back. Apart from the crowd control rest is good. Jai maa Mansa Devi. 🙏

mansadevi Temple is a peaceful and beautiful place in Haridwar. The view from the top is really nice and you can go by ropeway or by walking. Water and sitting facilities are available at almost every turn which helps a lot while climbing. No photography is allowed inside the temple and there are no entry charges. A proper shoe stand is also available. The temple feels very spiritual and calm.

The cable car was a very good experience and offered good views. Keep hold of the ticket if you buy return. The temple complex is very cramped and offers no outside areas (unless you walk up??) The cable car waiting area was not full and the snack outlets in the temple were not open ,I assume it was a less than busy time so I dread to think how claustrophobic it would be when super busy! Shoe stand at entrance. Negotiating each little temple section without being dragged in easier as a westerner but do keep an eye on the rest of the group as we waited ages for" Tail End Charlie "at the the shoe stand on the way out!!

The temple is located on top of a hill accessed by a ropeway. There is some 15 minutes wait for the ropeway on crowded days. The charges are ₹190 per person and you can book ropeway for Chandi Devi temple too at a discounted package rate here. There is a sloping walkway also available. The views from the ropeway is breathtaking, but the approach to it is through narrow lanes in between houses and dilapidated structures. The Q system was good till the final steps to the temple. Then it became crowded and unruly, maybe due to Diwali week. You can buy some Prasad along the Queue which will be offered to the Goddess and given back. There is a place to keep footwear after the ropeway ride.

We visited Maa Chandi Devi Temple and had a wonderful spiritual and scenic experience. We went up using the ropeway, which was truly enjoyable — the short 5-minute ride offered beautiful views of the mountains and the surrounding greenery. It felt peaceful and refreshing. After reaching the top, we took the blessings of Maa Chandi Devi, and also visited the nearby Hanuman, Anjana Mata, and Santoshi Mata temples. The place has a divine atmosphere, and the entire visit felt serene and fulfilling. Overall, it’s a must-visit place for both spiritual seekers and nature lovers. The combination of the ropeway ride and the temple’s peaceful ambiance makes it a memorable experience.

The ropeway to Chandi Devi Temple offers stunning aerial views of Haridwar, the Ganga river, and surrounding hills. The ride is smooth, safe, and takes just a few minutes to reach the top. A great experience for all age groups and totally worth it for the scenic views alone.

The temple is peaceful and worth visiting, but the overall management is poor. Ropeway waiting time is 1–2 hours and the area is overcrowded. Biggest issue is returning without your own vehicle — auto drivers refuse to go unless their big autos are full, making tourists wait for hours. Strongly recommend visiting only if you have your own transport. We recently visited Chandi Devi Temple in Haridwar and while the temple itself is serene and spiritually uplifting, the overall experience left us disappointed due to poor management around the visit. To reach the temple, you need to take the tram (ropeway) service, but the waiting time is extremely long — anywhere between 1–2 hours. The starting point for the tram is overcrowded, which makes the wait even more uncomfortable. There are some small shops for souvenirs, snacks, and games, but that doesn’t balance the chaos. Once you reach the top, there is a small hike via stairway to the temple. The stairs are divided into two sides — one for going up (which is in good condition) and one for coming down (which is poorly maintained and quite difficult to walk on). All of this could still be manageable, but the biggest problem starts when you have to return to your hotel or onward destination without your own vehicle. The auto drivers outside act like goons — they refuse to take passengers unless their large autos are filled completely, or you hire the entire vehicle even if you’re a single person. When I asked small auto drivers, they said they’re afraid of the big ones as they get threatened or beaten if they pick up customers from there. We ended up waiting more than an hour just to get back, which completely ruined the experience. The temple is worth visiting, but I strongly recommend going with your own vehicle. The authorities really need to step in and resolve this transportation issue, as it’s making tourists suffer unnecessarily.
