Never, under any circumstances, should you feed the monkeys. Human food is harmful to them and directly leads to aggressive behavior and potential bites, which require immediate medical attention and rabies shots. Furthermore, please be vigilant with all personal belongings. These monkeys are notorious thieves and will snatch anything shiny, loose, or resembling a food container—including water bottles, sunglasses, and bags. Keep everything zipped and secured, preferably in a dry bag, and maintain at least a three-meter distance at all times. Visit early to beat the crowds, observe quietly, and help keep this incredible natural area pristine. The beauty here is undeniable, provided you prioritize safety and respect the wildlife's space.

This was a really cool thing to see- the monkeys come out when they know there’s food. I did however want to throw some people in the water that think it’s okay to 1) touch the monkeys or try and pull their tails or 2) splashing water on them. Like leave them alone if you can’t be nice. Some tourists should not be allowed to be tourists. It was a really beautiful area too.

picturesquely beautiful like other beaches in the region ! beach is very small with the cliffs starting almost immediately you land. No shops or people other than tourists, but it can get pretty crowded. And yeah you will see a lot of monkeys playing around !

Okay, the beach is beautiful, white sands and nice cliffs. However, the monkeys will steal anything you have. We took a canoe and I got my dry bag and my friend her backpack, but my grocery bag was still in the canoe with of course no food. They tore it open anyway (just to find sandals). We stood in the water too terrified to do anything. Also another monkey took a water bottle from another canoe and opened it. To conclude: monkey Beach is nice from a distance or without bag!!

Long hike up the hill. Well worth it when you get there. Spectacular views of koh phi phi. Nice café at top to rest,refresh and take advantage of such great vistas. Café very reasonable prices,nice to see not taking advantage of tourists in anyway. Will not disappoint doing the walk up there.

A lookout point situated high up from where you can see phi phi don, maya bay, krabi in the distance. The view point opens at 5:30 am and last entry is somewhere around 6:30 pm. It has an entry fee of 50 baht. The climb is really steep rapidly gaining altitude. It’s a mix of stairs and slopes and at the end you have a viewing deck. You can expect a lot of crowd during the sunset time. There is also a cafe at the view point. There is photography service available at the top but it’s only during the day. Sunset from here is very picturesque. Sun sets behind the hills of phi phi and the sea changes it’s colours from turquoise to deep blue to Orange and then deep red within a few minutes.

Being the highest and hardest to get viewpoint of the three, this hidden gem doesn’t get the same numbers of visitors but offers by far the most stunning and beautiful view. I definitely recommend taking the hike and going for it.

Comparing to Viewpoint 1 and 2 it’s nothing special. The way to the viewpoint is dirty with rubbish. But you can see a bit of Thai village on the other hand. In my opinion, not worth climbing there if you are already on viewpoint 2 which is the best. To enter viewpoint 3 you need to pay 30 baht person and remove your shoes.

Super clear and clean waters. We had a stopover here for an hour. People mostly buy a drink, sat down and chill by the sea.

Snorkelling here was amazing, we swam out a little further and got to see a handful of sharks that were about a meter in size, a barracuda, a large pufferfish, and a number of brightly coloured parrotfish.

A small park currently being redeveloped but still accessible , it has numerous strangler fig trees which have Casuarina trees and Palmyra and others as hosts. It is interesting to see that where most trees consequently die the palmyras seem to not only survive but flourish.

Wonderful place. Whole purpose of this project is to rescue the gibbons and make them forget about humans so human contact is very very limited. You just spot them from afar and admire them. You may have a chance of feeding them through a strainer attached to a rope…but it all depends on the gibbon’s mood. Great place, hope the gibbons get successfully released into the forest someday.

Bucket list kinda stuff if you love gibbons. Their songs are heard as soon as you enter the park. We learned so much about the current state of gibbon conservation and the rehabilitation processes. We prepared food and learned how to observe behaviour. Zero contact, exactly how it should be. But a fantastic experience and worth every penny. The centre really needs public support as there are over 100 gibbons that need rehabilitation facilities , but the centre relies on the public to carry out the work to get these beautiful creatures taught how to be gibbons after lifetime of being forced into un-natural behaviour for the demands of tourists. Highly recommend!!

What a wonderful project and staff. I came for the longer visit, and got to help make snacks and observe the gibbons. It was a very educational experience and I'm grateful for the volunteers that work so hard to rescue and rehabilitate these gibbons into the wild. I think it would be especially good for helping children learn and become ambassadors for wildlife and the environment as they grow up, even though they discuss difficult topics regarding animal treatment and rescue. Thank you for a very meaningful day.

An incredible place to visit during a trip to Phuket. A true eco friendly experience that educates about Thai Gibbons and provides a hopeful future with the hard work Than and the team put into rehabilitating these beautiful animals whose numbers in the wild have been greatly impacted thanks to humans. This place receives no government funding so relies heavily on visitors who actually care about animal conservation and not an instagramable photo opportunity.

I can tell the nationality of every single person giving 1* because of the whining and lack of education they espouse. Ignore the troglodytes. FYI the waterfall volume is determined by rainfall - dry season it will be a trickle. Go figure. As for wearing flip-flops to a rainforest? You get what you get. Wear sensible shoes or you'll slip, trip, or get bitten by something. Common sense. Rehabilitation of wildlife is really expensive. 1,000baht per person isn't cheap, but it all goes to helping them. This isn't a zoo. You won't get to hold them. You won't get loads of close up photos. That isn't what this place is about and that is exactly why it's the best tourist attraction on Phuket. The vast majority of tourist places on Phuket exploit and actively harm their animals (Tiger Kingdom, most of the elephant sanctuaries, Fantasea etc - never go to these places). This place is the opposite, and it's run by a fantastic, passionate biologist who loves what he does. This is conservation in its purest form. Observing the enclosures at a distance, catching glimpses of the wild ones if you are very lucky, and enjoying learning about the gibbons in their care. National Park entry is 200baht which goes towards running the jungle itself and maintaining paths, car parks etc. I got a taxi there from Bang Tao for 700baht which was expensive because of the storm and surge pricing. You can get it for 250ish no problem. There is a food stall in the car park with basic toilets. You can get mosquito spray from the project building once you've signed in. We had five on our tour - me and a family of four with two young kids. The guide was funny, informative, and passionate. He was so good with the kids that even me as a former teacher was impressed. We also saw an orb weaver spider, loads of butterflies, black termites, various grasshoppers, and a wild monkey, as well as about 12 gibbons in total. The gibbons are at a distance because they're being taught not to rely on humans who have abused them. This is the gold standard of rehabilitation and conservation and I am disgusted anyone would give this place 1*. The paths are concrete but they are mossy, uneven, and slippery, so wear suitable footwear. I could not recommend this place more to any tourist with more than two braincells. If you have fewer, stay at home with your MAGA hat on, cheering the invasion of Palestine or Ukraine. Everyone else, visit and enjoy!

We had an amazing time here. Many thanks to our lovely volunteer guide (sorry we can't recall your name) who explained the rehabilitation process, about some of those which can't be rehabilitated, the history of the project and many other absorbing details. After the visit we then hiked up the adjacent river to the nearby Bang Pae waterfall for a cooling dip!

We visited after their second opening of the day. They stay open until dinner, then reopen afterwards. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and given a tour. It was shorter than expected—probably because they were busy—and, sadly, we were the only visitors that day. They really need as many visitors and volunteers as possible to help. Some of the dogs were wary of people, but most were full of excitement. Staff and volunteers were everywhere, doing their best. Unfortunately, with over 1,000 dogs in their care, they rely heavily on people to spend time interacting and playing with them. Each caged area usually has one or two workers, while others are busy cleaning and feeding behind the scenes. I was happy to finally visit this place, though it was heartbreaking to see so many dogs in need. Still, it’s comforting to know they are safe here. Around 500 animals are rehomed each year worldwide, which is amazing—it’s wonderful to see dogs and cats finding loving families. The care and dedication of the team is clear. Some animals are in intensive care, and the shelter even offers free neutering for dogs and cats. Everything was clean, with fresh water and food always available 12/08/2025 visited 🐶🐈😍

The whole foundation, with hundreds over kind hearted staffs, come from different departments to work together to spark love and spread meaning for humans’ best friends 👏🏾 Left the sanctuary with our hearts full - understanding that we humans might just need these creatures more than they need us ❤️

An amazing place. Full of joy and determination in the face of incredible challenges. Volunteering here is something I won’t ever forget and I will be back. If you invest some of your time here the dogs, cats and people will return your investment ten fold. The staff are inspiring, you will get to meet lots of beautiful dogs, not always easy but very rewarding.

Best Dog Foundation I ever encountered. Doing so much good for the dog, and cat, population and the people who live side by side with them in Thailand and South- East Asia. Don't just donate, volunteer for at least 2 days to help the organisation take care of their dog population and their activities. Soi is a fantastic place to volunteer. The staff make you feel so welcome and the grounds are beautiful. Walking the dogs all day is wonderful and sitting with cats at lunch time is the best thing ever. It is impressive how much they are doing for the dogs and cats in Thailand

My husband and I already knew about the Soi Dog Foundation before coming to Thailand, so it was a must-stop during our vacation in Phuket. I was very impressed by the facility, everything is perfectly organized, and the dogs and cats have plenty of space to live the life that was once taken from them. Volunteering here is an experience that helps the animals, but most of all, it helps yourself. We decided to make a donation by purchasing 70 handmade keychains to give our wedding guests as favors. Thank you for all the work you do, it was an experience I will always carry with me. Adopt, don't shop!!!

The Poda Island, also known as Koh Poda is a beautiful island in South Thailand. It is found just off the coast of Krabi. It’s the largest of four islets in the Poday Group of Islands. What makes it easy to explore is that its near major holiday spots like Ao Nang, Railay Beach and Klong Muang. So you only need a day or half a day tour for you to cover this holiday destination. This islet is heavenly… from the smooth sandy beaches to the clear turquoise sea water that just invites you to jump in, the reefs which are perfect for snorkeling a magnificent backdrop with rock formations, this is a place worth visiting… It’s dreamy I tell you. If you are looking for a place to unwind, then this is the perfect spot.

We went there in our day trip pachage of 7 island tour from krabi. And ko poda was one of most beautiful beach among them. We saw the sunset from here. Did lunch here by the sea. Water was also very clear.

Another stunning island in Krabi! The water here was crystal clear with that dreamy turquoise shade & the beach felt so peaceful compared to the busier spots. The white sand was silky smooth, perfect for just relaxing by the shore and soaking in the view. Definitely one of my favourites from the island tour!

Ko Poda is a hidden gem in Thailand . crystal clear water, soft white sand, and a peaceful atmosphere make it the perfect escape from the crowds. The view of the limestone cliffs is absolutely breathtaking. A must-visit for anyone exploring Krabi .🏝️

It surprised me how lovely this place is as I had read many bad reviews and didn’t expect to walk into what felt like such a posh, very clean, lovely place! But.. they’ve definitely put prices through the sky as it’s where tourists are I assume.. I refused to eat anywhere here in the end as I just couldn’t believe the prices! It’s the same price as eating in the big cities in Australia! I was going to grab a coffee instead of food and even that was $8, the mushroom spaghetti I wanted worked out to about $14/15.. I just think it’s wrong, but then again I’m not rich enough to stay in those resorts either, I am here volunteering for the Soi dog foundation and walked over an hour to get to this village haha I have to budget wisely!

You can find a variety of shops here; cafes, restaurants, souvenir stores, clothes stores, a supermarket, a pharmacy, a playground and of course the legendary 7 eleven! Good spot to buy stuff if you’re staying at the nearby resorts (Anantara & Marriot). During evenings, they have a mini local market selling beautiful handmade goods.

As a guest staying at Marriott Mai Khao Resort, I really enjoy visiting the nearby Turtle Village Shopping Center. It’s a great spot with plenty to offer — whether you want to go shopping, grab a bite to eat, or just relax with a cup of coffee. They have well-known places like Starbucks, Bonchon, Swensen’s, The Coffee Club, and even a Thai restaurant and souvenir shops. It’s super convenient, especially with a 24-hour 7-Eleven right there — perfect for picking up anything you need at any time. It’s a great little hub that makes your stay even more enjoyable.

Turtle Village - Dinning area and shopping mall in Mai Khao Beach. Inside Turtle Village, there are Starbucks Coffee , Burger King, Pizza Company, Bonchon Chicken, The Coffee Club, Basil Thai Cuisine, Mexican Cuisine, Swensen's Ice Cream, Pharmacy, Currency Exchange, General Store, Souvenir Store, Mini Mart and 7-Eleven. Near Turtle Village are hotels such as Anantara Villa & Resort, JW Marriott Mai Khao Beach Phuket, Renaissance Mai Khao Beach, Sala Phuket, and Anantara Vacation Club.

Turtle Village is a quaint shopping area, but I was extremely disappointed to see a live elephant being kept on display for tourists to feed. It was heartbreaking. The animal was standing in a small, unnatural space with no enrichment and clearly distressed. It was clearly there only for photo opportunities. This type of treatment is outdated and inhumane. Elephants are highly intelligent, social animals that require large environments and proper care. Using them as attractions for tourist entertainment is simply unacceptable. Turtle Village should know better and do better. I hope management removes this display and partners with an ethical conservation organizations instead. Until then, I cannot recommend supporting this establishment. I chose not to photograph the elephant to deny its owners any attention.

I was very disappointed to see that the resort allows a booth where an elephant is tied up for feeding and photo opportunities. This kind of attraction is unethical and extremely upsetting to witness. I genuinely hope the resort will reconsider supporting such activities and choose more animal-friendly alternatives in the future.

Kayaked here from railay beach, in about 20mins! Beautiful and secluded, blazed a huge J under some beautifully positioned palm trees etc for some well needed shade. The water was beautiful, clear and warm and definitely worth the kayak trip to this beach! Also possible to explore both the caves at either end of this beach so well worth spending a day here if coming from Ao Nang.

It takes 40 minutes to walk from Railway beach. It is much nicer than Railway beach. Along the way, you get to see some interesting rock formations and there is a rope you can climb (need appropriate footwear, as it is muddy and slippery) but there is a nice viewpoint and a lagoon at the top. Once you arrive at the beach, you can see monkeys and some lizards. People rock climb there too which is interesting to watch

Beautiful beach accessible from Railay East. Caves , rock wall climbing and chilling on Beautiful Phra Nang beach are key attractions. Go early or face massive crowds when securing a spot on the beach. No restrooms Handicap possible. Final take ..RECOMMENDED BUT AGAIN GO EARLY.

Awesome beach. Beautiful fine sand and lovely water. Sheltered in a bay so no big waves really to be concerned about and a great place to either sunbathe or swim. Sunsets are beautiful. Well worth the visit.

A quiet beach of your own with few tourists making it a can’t-miss spot in Krabi. This pristine beach stretches afar from famous Pranang Spirit Cave till the end of the beach with high limestone cliffs. Beautiful Soft sand and clear sea water with multicolor green to blue sea will make your day the most relaxing one. Be sure to spend a lot of time lingering leisurely. During low tide you can simply walk to Happy Island just across the shore.

We booked a ferry from Krabi to Railey Beach. There is a little booth near the docks that sell the tickets and tell you the hours that the ferries run. Once a wooden dragon boat is full it heads out. The boat ride was awesome. Open air and smooth. It was one of my favorite parts island hopping during our trip. When we arrived we wondered until we found a hotel that served breakfast. There was a reasonably priced buffet and we ate there. We spent a few hours at the beach, swimming and enjoying the sun. We saw the rain coming and decided to head to bar and grab a drink. Overall it was a great day, and I highly recommend.

We took long tail boat from Ao Nang at 8:30. We were there before 8:00 but if a group came, they had priority. It was a bit chaotic how the boatmen were organizing the boats. After 30 min we could board. It took 15min and cost 100bhat per person. We were 12 on the boat. When coming back there was 1 more couple waiting. Each of us paid 200 baht and we could go immediately back. West Railay beach is nice with stunning views. Inside the “village” it’s already a bit messy. To go there for 1-day trip ok but I wouldn’t stay there for longer. For cat lovers just check the pictures 😻

Really gorgeous beaches, yummy food, wildlife, and almost everything you need. Cool hippie vibes by the west side. I enjoyed the place and was only there for a few hours. Would love to come back and stay on this side of Krabi for a few days.

Beautiful spot. The swim area towards the cliff has a quite rocky bottom and is shallow at low tide. Further towards the boats the bottom has far more sand and is a nicer walk out to swim.

Railay beach is so beautiful. Especially during the sunset days. They have beautiful long tail boats and the scenery looks wonderful. You can get the long tail boats from Ao Nang to Railay Beach at 200 return. Last boat is at 6.30 PM. Get a boat so you will catch the sunset.

Gorgeous beach but recommend carrying beach shoes to avoid getting hit by rocks especially when going for a swim. The water is nice and warm and sandy patches are good on the beach.

The beach is really relaxing with magnificent views. Has lots of stuff to do, do not stay there for 1 day, stay for more. There is so much to do and see. The first priority place that I'll recommend to you if you will go to Krabi. You can only get there by boat. Its a piece of land surrounded by mountains and cliffs. You will need to pay if hotel doesn't provide a free boat to your destination.

Well the place gets busy by the night and graceful by the morning but always has a vibe there’s always a good view of islands but sometimes due to high tide you have to skip beach days.

Ao Nang Beach is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The water is calm, the sand is clean, and the views make it even more stunning. I loved walking along the beach, especially during sunset — the sky looks magical. The area is also very convenient with lots of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby. Local people are friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. A perfect place to relax, take photos, and enjoy the true beauty of Krabi. Highly recommended!

The town is quite peaceful. The beach is located across the town drive. Clean stretch of beach with beautiful shell and the beach is landmark. Loved the location and the scenic beauty. My personal advise is to stay in a hotel closer to beach and night market. You are always in the heart of all activities.

Lots of tourists and touristy stalls; the beach itself wasn’t very nice. The Monkey Trail was good, though, and the sunset view from the beach was nice. Ideal for a one-hour visit during sunset, but nothing more.

Super clean Beach. Minimal tourist at morning time. The road near the beach offers variety of shopping at reasonable prices. The prices are better than Ao Nang night Market. Best time to visit is before 8 am . Amazing views at the beach.

Ao Nang Beach in Krabi offers an absolutely fantastic experience that makes it a must-visit location. It truly is a beach for all hours, combining stunning daytime relaxation with vibrant evening excitement. ​During the day, the beach is perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying the clear waters. The conditions are excellent for swimming, offering a refreshing escape from the tropical heat. ​As the sun sets, the atmosphere transforms into something magical. I highly recommend taking a long night walk along the sand, where the air is relaxed and the view is spectacular. The highlight of the evening is definitely the mesmerizing fire show performances that light up the beach—it’s a great way to truly feel the vibrant Thai atmosphere. ​Beyond the beach itself, the proximity to the bustling night market is a major draw. You can easily transition from the beach to enjoying delicious street food and browsing local goods. ​Overall, Ao Nang Beach provides a great, comprehensive experience, and spending time here, day or night, is highly recommended.

The 360° Viewpoint at Koh Hong offers impressive panoramic views once you reach the top — the surrounding islands, turquoise waters, and dramatic cliffs are a photographer’s dream. That said, the climb is quite steep and involves a lot of stairs — definitely not for everyone, especially in the heat. There’s no shade along the way, and the steps can be slippery if it’s rained, so proper footwear is a must. While the view is rewarding, the effort required might not feel entirely worth it for some, especially when the island below already offers plenty of scenic spots. A decent experience overall, but manage your expectations and come prepared.

A short 15-minute climb takes you to the top, where you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful 360-degree panoramic view — absolutely worth the effort. It’s also home to the only clean beach in the area that’s truly suitable for swimming and playing. A perfect spot for both a light adventure and a relaxing beach day!

Gorgeous views to the Andaman See. The stairs are quite steep but if you climbed already to the Tiger Cave, to reach this viewpoint won’t be difficult.

It's a hard, sweaty climb. You need good functional knees and a lot of sunscreen. Drink water and take it slow. At least the stairs are modern and equal. The view is fantastic! It takes about 20-25 minutes at a moderate pace to reach the top. After you go down, i recommend the nearby beach

I absolutely loved my four nights here and wish I could have stayed longer! I was travelling on my own, had never been to a yoga retreat before, and was coming during low/rainy season, so was concerned that the place would be empty and that the weather would be limiting, however, I had nothing to worry about! There were about 15 guests at the retreat during my stay, which was perfect as it felt really calm and cozy and we all became close, with myself and some of the guests continuing to meet up later in our travels after we left the island! The weather was also perfect during my stay, and I really enjoyed cycling around beautiful Koh Yao Noi using the free bicycles provided, and going on a fantastic island hopping trip organised by the team. Even if there had been rain, the atmosphere at Island Yoga is so great that I think I’d have been content reading in my hammock or chilling in the cafe. My AC bungalow was cute and comfy, and the location of the retreat was brilliant - a minute walk to the beach, and just 5-10 minutes from plenty more nature, cafes, and shops. The evening yoga classes and the free Thai massage were deeply relaxing, and the morning classes were energising and the right level of challenging for me, and I was really proud to see my yoga skills develop during my time here. I really enjoyed the morning meditation and chanting, and it was fun trying out tai chi for the first time. The breakfast buffet was truly incredible - so much variety and completely different menu every morning. When I had to leave early on my last day the kitchen team kindly gave me a container to package up some food to take with me - so thoughtful, and I was so thankful as the food was some of the best I’d eaten on my five weeks of travel, so I’d have been so sad to miss out! All of the staff were brilliant, friendly, and helpful, especially Moo, who has the most amazing energy/vibe! If I’m lucky enough to return to Thailand one day then I’d definitely come back here 💚 also - if you’re a cat fan, you’re in luck - so many little cuties all around the island/at the retreat

Island Yoga was OUTSTANDING! Beautiful location, really excellent, kind staff that went out of their way to make you feel warm and welcome. The whole vibe and energy of the place was really exceptional. The yoga teaching staff were very knowledgeable, attentive and committed, I learned so much, improved so much and Ive been doing yoga for 20+ years. And if all that weren't enough, the Tai Chi and Qigong on the beach was transcendent. David and Wisa are exceptional and inspiring teachers, in a jaw-droppingly beautiful setting. I will go back again and again as many do. Don't hesitate, just go! Thank you all Island yoga🙏

Really great experience! Rather on the pricy side, especially when booking a budget room. But the staff is so lovely, they make you feel very warm and welcome and the overall energy was very relaxed and open. Will definitely come again! Food is amazing. Yoga classes were sometimes bit chaotic for my taste, best were the ashtanga style ones by Marina.

I really enjoyed this fantastic, otherworldly place! The energy, teachers and staff are truly unique. I was positively surprised by the quality and level of the classes. The program around the classes fits perfectly. If you want to deepen your practice and meet amazing like-minded people from all over the world, this is the place to be. For me it was a place to come back to myself. I kept extending my stay on the island because of the great atmosphere. In the end I stayed there for 7 weeks in total and I joined the yoga teacher training (YTT). If you’re still hesitating, don’t. Just book and find out for yourself. ✨

I have just spent the most incredible 6 days in that place that I now call home. I for sure will come back at some point. The yoga classes and Thai chi on the beach with sunrise were very special. The bungalows with view on the pool are incredible - clean, relaxing, and very cosy. The food was delicious, the breakfast buffet as well as the Thai kitchen and the Sabaidee cafe. The staff were so sweet and welcoming. The yoga teachers were amazing; insightful, helpful and empowering. Plus I met beautiful souls there. I am so grateful for that place which will always have a dear place in my heart. Namaste & Kopunkah 🙌🏼

One of the most beautiful national parks we have visited. This National part is part of the southern of Thailand. It’s famous for James Bond Islamd, it’s amazing caves, limestones and green clean water. We reserved a kayak tour and it was amazing. We went around the island and saw many beautiful caves and rock formations. You have to try this at least once on life.

Take a long boat ride around the bay. Stop at the Koh Panyee village on the water. Pass through the waterways under the rocks. See "The Jumping Tiger" on one of the islands. Pass by the famous James Bond Island featured in The Man with The Golden Gun 1974 movie. Multiple photo opportunities. I suggest a camera with good lenses over a phone. The boat catches lots of sprinkles at high speed so be careful with your camera and phone.

Incredible trip! Amazing views! So much fun checking out James bond island and all the sea caves! The.tour left around 730 and got back around 5ish. We got to see so many Incredible places! I was truly blown away by the beauty of this place! So much fun going snorkeling for my first time ever!!!! I can't wait to be back and go exploring here some more! Def would take the earlier excursion next time!

This was a bucket blister. James Bond Island has been a place I wanted to visit since I discovered it. Now I have! Gorgeous and not so overly packed. Touristy, but not horrendous. Did a bit of snorkeling here for my first time, someone who suffers from thalassophobia, glad I got myself to do it. Definitely worth it.

I would rate 5 stars for this one day leisure cruise. We booked the cruise through the hotel travel agent. The boat is new and spacious. Drinks and snacks are served on board. Even young children and passengers with needed assistance are very well taken care of. We started with a simple early lunch in a small local restaurant near the yacht club. The first stop is a small island which gives you spectacular view of the limestone hills standing out from the sea horizon. Then the highlight is canoeing in Phang Nag Bay through the limestone karsts jut vertically out of the emerald-green water. Next comes the renowned James Bond Island. Tourists will never miss the beautiful sunset view of Phang Nga Bay and the trip ends with a small buffet dinner in the same restaurant. Fantastic cruise and money well spent!

Beautiful limeston mountains and small caves surrounded with blue ocean all around, amazing work of art by nature. It's very touristic but you will be treated to some unforgettable sights.

Incredible experience. We booked a kayaking tour and it was amazing. It’s a day of stuff and can get tiring but well worth it. There are also speed boat tours which one might consider and they go much faster than the ferries.

Spacious parking and toilet available at the entrance. Entry costs 50 TBT per person. The temple looks amazing, those colours, symmetries, fascinating. The stairs are tough, 309 meters up in 600 meters, very steep with tall stairs. There is toilet along the way as well. The view from the top is amazing, definitely worth the effort. There is free water waiting for you at the bottom of the stairs, courtesy of the temple.

Keep in mind that the sun goes down by 6:15pm. We got to the bottom at 6:30pm and they had locked it. Even though there were still people up top. It’s not impossible to jump over the side fence, but if you are going to take awhile to get down because of your fitness level, consider that you will have to jump the fence a bit if you’re locked in. Worth the steps. My husband and I did it in 16-17 mins. We are both fit and were still breathing hard. It’s only hard because the steps are steep and some are taller than others. We went on a rainy day too so the heat didn’t ruin it. Beautiful view, very peaceful. Went on a Wednesday in October We saw a lot of water bottles left around at the top and we dumped them and recycled them. There is a bucket for them. Please don’t be those people that bring garbage and leave garbage up there. There were no staff when we were up top.

Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple) Review: Great View After a Hard Climb ​Wat Tham Suea is a temple visit where you must climb a mountain. To get to the top, you walk up 1,260 stairs (309 meters). ​The stairs are not all the same. Some parts are easy, some are medium, and some parts are very hard and steep. It is a real challenge for your legs! ​But when you finish the climb and reach the top, it is truly worth it. You will see a very large, beautiful golden Buddha statue. The view of the green jungle and big rock mountains (KRABI) is amazing. This feeling of seeing the idol and the beautiful scene makes the hard climb worthwhile.

The trek has very steep steps all the way to the top, so I wouldn’t recommend it for elders or young kids. There are over 1200 steps, and completing the climb and returning can be challenging if you’re on a tight schedule of a tour package. However, we managed to finish the round trip in about 1.5 hours. Overall, a rewarding experience but definitely demanding—plan accordingly!

It’s an amazing place located at the top of a mountain. You need to climb over 1,260 steps to reach it . quite tough, but definitely worth it for the experience. You’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Krabi mountains. It’s highly recommended for those who love peace, nature, and spiritual vibes. The temple provides free drinking water. So, carry a bottle with you . you can refill it before and after the climb. It’s a must-visit spot, not far from the Krabi bus terminal.

The views from the top are fantastic! That is, if you can reach the very top of the observation deck with the large Buddha statue. You'll have to climb 1,256 steps. If you're not in good shape, the climb will be very challenging. At times, the steps are very steep, almost vertical, and the height can reach up to 40 cm. But if you can climb all 1,256 steps, the stunning views will be worth it! The descent is also challenging!

Views are amazing at the top, even in wet weather. The stairs are no joke though, so wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Took us about 30 mins to get to the top. The temple at the bottom is quite impressive as well.

It’s an amazing place location but during the trip u will be tired to go there only to sit for 15 min and will continue the rest of the trip during the day. For me I’ll prefer to sit in island rather than roaming around to take pictures only.

We had a slow boat expedition to James Bond Island. Compared to speed boat in which we went to Phi Phi Island, we enjoyed more on this slow boat. Beautiful, scenic cruise 🛳. Canoeing through the caves were adventurous and exciting. Must do... highly recommended

Khao Phing Kan was one of the four stops during this wonderful boat tour. The James Bond Island was amazing. At two other stops, we canoed into caves. Reaching an atoll through the cave was a surreal experience. The boat crew was great who made the tour an enjoyable experience.

What a great experience to visit Khao Phing Kan / JAMES BOND ISLAND on a privet longtail motor boat.The place is a historic monument after the movie "The man with the Golden Gun" was filmed in 1974. My Capitan "TIGER" took me on the most majestic tour with super nice , breathtaking scenic places .

I was expecting something better. Boat trip to the bond island was a nice experience, through mangroves. But the island itself was a bit disappointing and crowded.

The boat trip to Khao Phing Kan / James Bond Island was a pleasant experience, taking us on a scenic route through the mangroves.

I must say that when we went here there were reviews that experience was underwhelming for few people but I politely disagree. The structure is the middle of the water looks amazing and looked so much better than what we saw in the movie There are ample photo opportunities and you want to be careful while swimming in muddy water because of sea shells. Must visit

A must see - beautiful park. Easy walking paths, temple, can hire a car to wander I heard, can camp - not sure if overnight allowed. Easy walking paths, lush green and peaceful. Ticket price - 100 THB for foreign nationals.

Fantastic hike with a rather dangerous trail. Please go well prepared with hiking boots and leech-proof socks and shoes. It’s quite a challenging hike due to the climb at the start (we did the circle trail) If you plan to just go for the waterfall, it’ll be much easier to go from the other end of the trail (~10mins) . But the hike itself was very enjoyable and very very challenging. May actually go again (TW: Blood ; Note the blood in the media is only from leeches and nothing else)

Just stunning, humid but well shaded for the most part, the waterfall walk is fabulous. Good footware is required for the top two sections of the path which goes from path to rock walkway to steps and the basicly a slight boulder climb to the top section. Plenty of little pools to along the way in which to submerge yourself. Lots of wildlife around, a great day out

Amazing escape into nature with trails and hikes leading up to the waterfalls. There are levels to the waterfall and can dip into the pool on every level to cool down.

Khao Phanom Bencha National Park in Krabi, Thailand, is a pristine destination perfect for nature enthusiasts. The park offers well-maintained hiking paths that take you deep into lush rainforest landscapes, surrounded by limestone cliffs and vibrant flora. One of the main highlights is the Huay To Waterfall, a stunning multi-tiered waterfall with crystal-clear pools ideal for a refreshing swim. The park is a paradise for birdwatchers and wildlife lovers, with diverse species to discover. Entrance is reasonably priced at 100 baht for foreigners, making it an affordable escape into nature’s beauty.

Had a fabulous time with the waterfall trail. You can spend 3-4 hours just having fun. This is a wonderful place if walks and climbs excite you. You can bathe in a waterfall too. There is a clean toilet and a juice cafe at the entrance. You need to buy tickets.

A hike there is one of the absolut best thing to do from Ao Nang or Krabi. Get a hiking app like alltrails for details and prepare seriously. The hikes are easy if you got good shoes and if you know how to walk on a mountain path.

The courses are amazing. Especially like the Red Zone course. The view is amazing. The service lunch, drinking water and insert repellent. Must wear covered sport shoes to join the course.

A jungle zip line adventure park with various routes of different difficulty. The staff is very friendly and professional. The location is just stunning. The place is under construction so there are some building materials laying around. But this won't effect your day.

We had such an amazing time at the zipline course! The staff was awesome! There are lockers to secure your stuff and water to keep you hydrated. The photos don't do this place justice. The red course was the most exciting for sure!!!

It was full of emotions , I screamed 😱, cried😅, smiled ☺️ at the same time , I had a wonderful time , I will definitely recommend this place 💯not only because they offer a thousands of activities but also because they care more about safety, whether you like adventure or not it’s a must try, they even offer lunch /and water 💦

We went to the Krabi one and it was absolutely amazing! You get safety trained and then an instructor takes you round the course. We had a great instructor called Jame who was absolutely fabulous. The views are amazing and the zip lining part was so incredibly thrilling. They also give you a delicious lunch. An amazing day and I highly recommend this to anyone who is near this place. I will definitely go back when I’m back in Thailand.

We arrived on a motorbike without prior reservation and were immediately greeted by the staff. After safety training, we went on all four courses. They were all very enjoyable, the black one was the only one physically demanding for us. Because of double safety, I wasn't really scared of the height. We had a lot of fun, well worth the visit!

Brilliant zipline - felt very safe, me and my husband turned up on the day, did the training course and went around with a guide. Brilliant views. Great courses (really fun broomstick rides etc) from beginner to more adventurous. Definitely worth the drive from Krabi Town.

Pools way too small and no natural surrounding. A couple of dead corals doesn’t make a turtle pool. Some of the turtles were old and I doubt that the idea is to save the turtles, it’s more a place to present them. No turtle showed any sign of wounds / damage. Turtles don’t need a pool to survive, they need the ocean. As a turtle lover and diver I found the whole presentation and place very depressing. Would not recommend to support and will certainly not come again.

Good effort shown for conservation effort for the turtle. The overall layout is a little confusing and there are easily a few hundreds turtles inside. All seems clean except some of the pool had filthy water. Too bad no chance to see the eggs or see them hatch or letting the turtles go. Saw some large ones still in captivity and wondering are they truly into conservation

This was a really good visit, to see the protected turtles. Admission is 60 THB. The project consists of a series of holding tanks where turtles range from newly hatched to much larger turtles, some of which had been rescued after being caught in discarded fishing gear or had tried to eat plastic carrier bags, mistaking them for jelly fish. Some were injured and received "care" from one of the volunteers. Although it seemed sad that the turtles are only in tanks and nothing to do, this is still an important work.

We had an amazing few hours here today. As has been said before, the turtles are either rescued due to plastic ingestion or entanglement or the eggs are collected after hatching until tge turtles are the right age for them to realistically survive. We were really fortunate in that we got to the sanctuary early and the man who takes care of the turtles was there and spent a lot of time explaining to us what the purpose of the sanctuary is. He has such passion for what he does and clearly loves his job. It was a real shame as he was letting several back into the ocean later this week but we are going home before then as it would have been amazing to witness. There's a nice coffee shop and gift shop afterwards and the beach was calm and clean too. There is a tsunami memorial there and plenty to do and watch for a good few hours. We will certainly return one day and recommend a visit.

sea ​​turtle rescue center. workers monitor the moment of laying eggs, collect them, nurse them and then raise the turtles until they can cope with the dangers on their own. then the turtles are released into the sea so that they can continue to live and breed freely. also here contain turtles affected by human impact. the park is small, there are pools with turtles of different ages. beautiful beach with white sand and casuarina. interesting not only for children, but also for adults.

An awesome place to visit if you are interested in wildlife. This turtle sanctuary was set up by Queen Sirikit some years ago. This is on the Royal Thai navy base but we found it easily. A navy guy gave us a tour and his English was good. Normally up to 90% of young turtles die or are killed mainly by birds. So this group collect the turtles as they hatch when they are about 3cm long and keep them for about 6 months when that are released. They also rescue turtles which have been injured or trapped in fishing nets.

This center helps for sea turtles, they raised them from born till the age when they become more independent. There are several swimming pools each swimming pool has it is own group of turtle which are divided by age. U can see from 1 month till several years. Center located close to the Andaman sea, cause when turtles become independent people release them to the nature. Recommended to visit this center if like animals.

Without a doubt, this was the most magical experience. We booked a 4 hour early morning trip through Get Your Guide where we were picked up from our hotel approximately 1 hour from the sanctuary. We were greeted by Joy who was our guide for the day and took us through some really interesting educational points regarding the elephants and the history behind the sanctuary. We then took a 15 minute walk through the jungle and down a river to collect our elephants, for us to then bathe them in the river before walking them to the main part of the sanctuary, where we observed their daily health checks by the keepers and then fed them their breakfast. There was only 3 of us who had booked onto that trip (a solo traveller, my partner and myself) so we were able to be up close to our elephants during the entire visit. Brunch was provided after our mornings activities, which was delicious amd served in the most beautiful setting. I would strongly recommend taking this trip to invest in a good pair of water shoes as the river walk was slippery and fast flowing in places. You are informed of anything else you may need to bring with you prior to your arrival. This experience will was a dream come true, a massive Thanks to Joy and all the incredible Keepers at the Sanctuary who do such an incredible job.

We visited today as a couple, and it was incredible to see how lovingly the elephants are treated there. Our guide was super kind and took so much time for us. The Pad Thai we had there was also really delicious. I can recommend everyone to visit this place, and if I could, I’d give more than 5 stars. This was our first time seeing elephants and it was the best! One of our best experiences while in Thailand. We wanted to come to an ethical sanctuary and we’re so glad we came here. Ammy our guide was great. His english was really good and made the whole experience fun for us. He took lots of pictures and videos for us and explained everything really well.

The park claims to be ethical and it is easy to confuse this park with the real ethical elephant sancturary KES when booking a package activity tour. The elephant’s here don’t have their own choice as they are fed and bathed for each tourist group and caretakers are strict and have sticks to hit the elephants when they do not behave as they want. The restaurant food was good and they are taking care of the elephants but it is not enough to call it “ethical”. Until they stop the above mentioned tourist activities and physical taming I would not recommend this place. Such a shame.

This place is amazing, the staff, knowledge, education & how they treat the animals. They did a great job making us feel welcome & ensuring we had lots of personal time with the elephant. We got to walk with the elephant, feed it, pet, bathe and massage the elephant with a scrubbing brush. They taught us how they care for the elephant. The food was also amazing.

*5 ★ Amazing Experience at the Elephant Sanctuary in Phang Na* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I just got back from the Elephant Sanctuary in Phang Na and it blew me away! 🌿🐘 From the moment we arrived, the vibe was calm, caring, and totally immersive. Joy was our guide and she absolutely made the day. She’s lovely, super pleasant, and ridiculously knowledgeable—she answered every question (even the weird ones) with a smile and such passion for the elephants. Walking through the sanctuary, she pointed out subtle behaviours and shared cool facts that made the experience feel personal and intimate. If you’re in Phang Na, this sanctuary is a must‑visit. Joy’s guidance turned a simple tour into an unforgettable, heart‑warming experience. Highly recommend! 🙌✨

They have price fixing and not everyone wants to negotiate the prices of certain goods. The assortment is rich and they also consider tourists to be rich. Some sellers believe that if you want to know the price, you have to buy it. The food is delicious and at good prices.

Busy and hundreds of stalls, be careful with prices and haggle well as a tourist market they charge a premium and the next shop over will likely be half the price.. good fun though and great selection of Thai delights.. food choice is great with local specialties such as crocodile and bugs!

Mix of food and product vendors, many selling the same items (you may prefer to browse through entirely first before buying). Minimal bargaining possible, catered for tourists. Overall not a must see. We liked the ice cream rolls and joined a long line which moves slow only because each order is made with theatrics. The end result is airy and light. Taxis / tuktuks available along main road end of market with flat rates back to hotels (pending distance).

It’s a big night market that caters to tourists. You can tell as no locals eat or buy anything from there. The store that sells clothes and stuff are repetitive and the usual tourist goods, there are no price tags and prices and 2-3x that of shops out of this area. There are much better night markets that local go to for a better overall experience.

Loved our visits to these markets. Good range of local and knock off products. Always worth bargaining and you get better results if you are pleasant and happy.

Great market, So many food choices. Bought here gifts to my friends and some good quality T-shirts.

Go for the food!! They have crocodile, insects ( to look at) but the fresh coconut water and smoothies were amazing

This place called 'museum' is not worth visiting it. It costs 300 Bath for 1 adult. It is not free entrance! Inside you only see pictures after the tsunami and a simple video how a tsunami exists. Both you can see by surfing on the Internet. Outside you see a stranded police boat which was thrown 2 km's inside the land, but for take a picture from the streets, you don't need to go inside the museum for buying a ticket. 50 meters before the museum there is a shop at the left side, also with pictures and handy craft. Entrance is free. Never seen such a bad accommodated 'museum'.

There's a structure that represents the size of the tsunami wave, which is quite interesting. There's also a police boat that got washed inland 2 kilometers, where the boat is still standing now. Put aside from that, there's not much else to see. You could be there 10 minutes

Basic museum but videos upstairs worth watching available in English, German and French. 1 HR 20 mins long but a must see. Nice little gift shop. Boat was under mesh due to construction but you could still see it well enough. Its huge size brings home the sheer power of the tsunami that could throw it 2km inland.

A good place to visit, a somber moment to reflect on the power of nature and its possible destruction. Many lives were lost and disrupted, those who were saved or survived are thankful that they have been given another chance. Stark reminder of humanity against nature.

Small but meaningful museum There’s no entrance fee the introductory film was incredibly moving. It reminded me how powerful and unpredictable nature can be. Thai people are truly resilient and kind. Anyone who visits Thailand should come with respect and appreciation for this land and people.

A lot of critical reviews on here but it’s worth noting that this is a non profit organisation. Yes the displays could be better and the videos better quality, however the visit still brings out the horrific disaster that the people of Khao Lak went through (and many others). If you want to save money look on YouTube but if you want to support the cause then pay them a visit. The memorial park is currently under renovation so no access to police boat

I am unsure how people can give low ratings for the "experience" of this place. It is small and could do with a slightly better layout. That is not the point of this place though. Go there, watch the videos, look at the pictures, then hold your kids tight and just be grateful that you were not one of those who died.

We visited the sanctuary in April 2025. There are 3 old elephants, that are taken care of by the humans. They walk freely on the territory of the sanctuary and you can come, watch and feed them a couple times a day. Great experience of being next to these amazing creatures

This was truly one of the most incredible experiences of our lives. At the sanctuary, we had the opportunity to care for these magnificent, gentle giants under the guidance of the sanctuary staff — or “rangers,” as I would gladly call them. The visit began with an informative session about the elephants — their nature, their past, and how many of them had been exploited by previous owners. We learned how harmful it is for elephants to be ridden or used for transportation, which sadly still happens in some places. Here, instead, we got to feed them and help wash them in the river. Getting up close to these amazing animals and interacting with them in such a respectful, natural way was truly unforgettable. One very important tip: bring clothes you don’t mind getting very dirty — think mud, water, and everything in between. Also, bring swimwear or a change of clothes. You’ll get soaked — and it’s absolutely worth it!

Amazing experience. These elephants are so gentle. We fed them leaves and bananas, had a walk with them and just observed their behaviour. Their caretakers are also very gentle and love to explain the history of each elephant. Sadly there were 3 but one of them died 2 months ago. Take the 1,5 h tour, and support a good case.

Kind family that cares about the elephants. All three elephants have been rescued. The newest one had only arrived 10 days earlier and they were watching her carefully. We purchased the 1.5 hour tour and felt it was perfect for us. We took photos, touched, fed, and walked with the elephants.

Amazing experience seeing these majestic animals in their natural habitat. This ethical Elephant Sanctuary treats the elephants extremely well, not allowing bathing with or riding the elephants. They were explaining very well about the elephants and you can clearly notice they care for them a lot. Hugely recommended if you want to see elephants, and you want to do it the right way! The people from the sanctuary were also extremely helpful and friendly, offering me a ride back to my hostel. Very pleasant experience!

I went to the Khao Sok Elephant Conservation Centre with the excitement of meeting an elephant. The experience of seeing them and feeding them for a few minutes was amazing, but I believe it should not be daily or last so long. Seeing them for just a couple of minutes is more than enough. Interactions like bathing or hugging them are not part of their natural behavior and can make the experience worse, leaving visitors with a negative impression of the centre. Tourists who truly want to care for the elephants will pay for that anyway, and you should be more conscious in this regard and avoid forced interactions. Observing them from a distance and feeding them briefly is sufficient, respecting their life and wellbeing.

Very good elephant sanctuary. Elephants are old. They are treated well and taken care properly. The property is large enough to care elephants. Staffs are kind and decent. Their programmes are well organised so there is no time for wasting. Elephants stroll and move freely even staffs don’t have sticks! I also participated in their day tour for lake. It was also great and cheap!

I would definitely recommend a day trip to this park, with its huge lake, when you are visiting the Khao Lok area. We had a guided day tour (which I would recommend to see everything) and it was a memorable and enjoyable trip. We stopped at the Three Sisters limestone formations for some photos, and cruised around the lake. We stopped at one of the numerous and unique floating hotels here for lunch, and did some swimming and kayaking. Definitely add it to your list of “must dos” when you are visiting Khao Lok.

One of the highlights of our stay in the area, definitely worth booking a trip to see Khao Sok and Cheow Lan Lake. Fantastic scenery! It’s easy to book a private longtail boat on GetYourGuide. We had a hire car and drove to the park from Khao Lak.

Definitely a must-visit when in Thailand! 🇹🇭✅ My husband and I rented a private boat for 3 hours, including a swimming stop for an hour, and we truly enjoyed the trip. The beauty of Mother Nature gave us goosebumps — absolutely breathtaking! 😍✨

Khao Sok National Park is an absolutely stunning place — one of the most beautiful natural spots in Thailand. The scenery is breathtaking, with dramatic limestone cliffs, lush jungle, and a peaceful lake. There are plenty of activities like canoeing, hiking, and boat tours that let you truly enjoy the nature. Everything feels calm and magical. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature and adventure!

I would definitely recommend doing a 2 day 1 night tour as you get to see loads of the national parks sights and you get to wake up on the lake which in my case was spectacular. However be prepared for very basic overnight conditions but it made no difference to us.

A beautiful park, I'd definitely recommend visiting if you're in Khao Sok!! Although everyone speaks about the lake tours as if this is the only activity in Khao Sok, we found this amazing park full of beautiful scenery of many types - a wild jungle, divine waterfalls & stunning rivers. Entrance fee is 200 baht per person, and you can either enter on your own and walk until a limited point (about 6km back & forth) or you can take a guide and walk further. If you do decide to take a guide, make sure to book them in advance. We decided to walk on our own, so we have more privacy, and it took us about 3 hours long, including some stops on the way, and dipping in the amazing Wing Hin waterfall. To conclude, if you're looking for a more unique and custom made experience in Khao Sok, this is definitely a most visit.

While I loved the park and everything about it, I'd like to bring to attention this boatman guy/ guide, and request all to avoid him to have a stress free trip. This guy speaks no English, and if he does, refuses to talk- as a guide, that is one of the major things one should do. He smoked weed/ some narcotic, made us pay for kayaking (which we had already paid for to our tour operator) - since it was only a 100Baht per person, the three of us who had booked the boat privately paid again because this guy refused to communicate. At the caves, he walked on at his own pace, shining the light randomly, and made to exit within 5 minutes. Thankfully we latched onto another group who had an English speaking guide to make sense of the wonders of the cave. We managed to click a whipping scorpion and a cricket with that group- a stark difference. After leaving the cave, he stopped in the middle of the water to light another joint, at which point we thought it a good idea to fly our professional camera drone for some photography. As soon as our drone gained some height, the boatman moved the boat forward, when we shouted at him with sign language to stop the boat. While landing the drone, since the boat had moved, the drone fell into the water, just short distance from where the boatman sat. Had he not been stoned enough, he could have moved his hand and caught the drone. The drone fell into the water, the boatman looked at the drone, looked at us, and shrugged his shoulders as if to say, your problem. The complain I wish to raise, is that this guy was so stoned, that if a human would have fallen off, he would simply have let the person drown, despite wearing a life jacket and knowing how to swim. Since we had to leave to catch our connecting flight from Phuket to Chiang Mai, we didn't have time to officially complain. In case anyone reads this, please ensure to avoid this guide. For your own well being.

Such a breathtaking place - I’ve never felt as calm and at peace as I did when I was there. Although the weather wasn’t the brightest that day, it didn’t take away from the experience. It was truly a marvellous time. 1000/10 ⭐️🤩

We rented a private boat with my husband for a 3 hour tour around Khao Sok National Park, including 1 hour stop at the floating resort for kayaking and swimming. We paid only 3,180 THB. The trip was very enjoyable, definitely worth the money.

We have been here with a guided tour in 3 small islands and 1 snorkeling spot and has been an amazing experience! The National Marine Park is pristine and you can visit from beautiful beaches to a breathtaking view points. We have managed to enjoy some relaxing time and to prove our self on really tough trails to reach the viewing points,but has been worth it! We have been so lucky to find monkeys with babies during one of thr trail and to see some huge and colored fishes in the snorkeling point. The emerald lagoon is amazing aswell! If you are here around you cannot miss this.

Amazing national park and must see when in the south of Thailand. Gorgeous views, clear water, many nice activities and many animals! Including cute monkeys. Do watch out that they don't take your stuff.

Absolutely stunning marine park with turquoise water, limestone islands, and breathtaking viewpoints. The scenery is incredible, both from the boat and from the hilltop trails. Snorkeling and kayaking are great ways to explore the area. Well organized tours and respectful handling of nature. A must-visit when staying around Koh Samui or Koh Phangan.

The view was absolutely breathtaking, a solid 10/10. But happy cardio to climb in 500 M. 🤪 I’m so grateful to have had the chance to experience such beauty in my lifetime. It really highlights how important it is to have a climbing partner who can encourage you along the way. 💗

Wide variety of activities to do from hiking to scenic viewpoints, swimming, snorkeling, hanging out at the beach, and watching wild life. Had a good experience traveling to this island from Koh samui via Grand Sea discovery.

Wonderful trip, we got everything we needed, they took great care of us, Mr. Thai was very funny and kind, and his jokes made the whole day even better. The hike to the viewpoint took 20–40 minutes depending on experience and fitness level. A must-do is kayaking (if you don’t go kayaking, you’ll end up waiting on a crowded beach). We booked it through GetYourGuide.

My honest review would be that I was not expecting this tour to be as exhausting as it was. I appreciate the operator and the tour guides, and the views are nice. However, the travel time from the pier to the first island is quite long, which already drains my energy. Then, the nature trail to the viewpoint is another exhausting one. The tour guides can mention in advance that if they are interested, they can hike. I cannot recommend this tour to those who are weak in endurance. Plus, I think the trail is not just 500 meters long. So, I decided to go down after the next stop. There is less time at the beach to explore and swim. The lunch provided is so-so. The kayaking was also too much with the distance. It was quite exhausting, and we were not informed that it would be very far, plus the waves were strong. If you can find another island tour aside from this, I recommend choosing that instead.

We only ate at the restaurant which had good Thai food. The Tom Yum Goong was a bit spicy at first but delicious 😋

We stayed here overnight. The reception lady accommodate and allow us to check in early. Our room cost 1000 baht. We have a nice view to the beach and the room is spacious. They have other rooms as well but the one we stayed is N2. Wishing this place keeps its service and price reasonable. Thank you very much.

I recently visited this View seafood restaurant, just near hotel i stayed in Tung Wua Laen Beach. The atmosphere was nice, very local, you can hear beach wave. We ordered three crispy spicy salad, stir fried crab meat with curry powder, boiled cockles, stir fried Liang leaves with egg, we really love it, real southern food taste, and of course we would come back again!

Food was delicious. Portions are rather small but this is forgotten once you taste the lovely fresh crab meat. Most Thai dishes are prepared to accommodate a Western public (not as spicy).

This is one of the "must" sites to see along the upper gulf coast. Although you may have to really earn it. We went on October 22nd which was a nice hot day after quit a few wet ones. The boats would not run in the stormy seas so you will have to hike the first leg by the park entrance. Fee is 200 for foreigner, 100 for Thai. The hike can be strenuous if either physically limited, or have any ailments. After the first "up to the viewpoint" and down the backside you come up to the beach. A nice secluded shell filled beach that leads you to the one again strenuous (only because the humidity helps the sweat pour out) hike up towards the cave. The well maked path takes to the first cave system once the jagged limestone path levels off. Then down through a cave opening to the grand entrance of Phraya Nakhon Cave. The lighting causes for a very dramatic backdrop to the shine. Quite spectacular. And the temperature in quite nice dropping at least 8 to 10 degrees Celsius lower than the outside temperature. On a Wednesday it wasn't really crowded and with patience can have the whole place to yourself for the perfect photo opp.

Amazing spot nice views, to have the best light come 10.30 till 12.00. athe light on the temple is only in February. There are two mountains to be crossed. You need to be fit, children can do it as well. Ways down and up are with stones. The first mountain can be down by boat if the waves are not to high, u arrive rhen directly on the beach and miss the views from the first mountain. At the beach there is a good restaurant with good drinks and they toilettes. From there u can start the second mountain when u made it, there is only ashort way down tonrhe cave entry. At the beginning u can see monkeys Dusty at the second climb or on rhe beach. The cave is amazing we had a very food toir guide she showed is perfect spots for photos.

Stunning drive through the National Park, then a challenging walk to the cave. Spectacular scenery and wildlife on the walk. The cave itself is breathtaking, well worth the walk. I rode a motorbike from Hua Hin, took 1 hour, but amazing mountain's 👏.

First of all, this cave is part of the Khao Sam Roi You national park. I recommend starting your day at the national park's ticket office. The ticket you buy here is valid for more than one attractions. I started my day with the mangrove forest around the ticket office area, then visited the Khao Daeng Viewpoint, after this Klong Khao Daeng (the boat trip price is not included in the ticket) and my last stop was Phraya Nakhon cave. I was riding a motorbike between the places. The cave can be reached by boats or walking. The motorboats are very loud and I prefer walking anyway so I hiked to the cave. Please note that it is a 2km distance. The first part of the road follows the sea shore, with wonderful views. It goes uphill first and then down to the beach. It is a bit rocky and you will definitely sweat a bit climbing here. Through the beach, you walk on flat surface among trees and sand, it is very pleasant (apart from the loud boats arriving every minute). Someone put swings on trees next to the beach, you may take nice photos here. There are also cafes and restaurant, bathrooms here to refresh if needed. The next part of the road takes you through a small forest part - apply mosquito repellent here if you haven't done it yet, they attack straight away! At the end of the forest road, you will see a big sign with many rules (how to dress, behave and so on) and a warning to understand your physical capabilities or limitations - because the next part of the road is very challenging. From now on, the road is mainly uphill on the natural terrain which has some steps built but it is mainly rocky and steep, sometimes a bit slippery. In the hot weather, it's not easy to complete the climb. Halfway up on the hill, you will find a resting stop with benches. The park also stations a first aid team here, which is reassuring. They are on standby for any emergencies or injuries. Also they sell (expensive) water. After climbing for about 500 meters, the last part of the road is finally downhill, believe me, you'll be grateful for that 😁 Please make sure you are dressed modestly to respect the Buddhist principles before entering the cave. The entrance is already impressive. I haven't seen a forest growing in a cave yet. The temple is in the second hall of the cave and if you are lucky, the sunshine will illuminate it. When I was there, I could admire it completely alone (low season) and it was a wonderful experience.

Parking: 10B motorcycle, 20B car Entrance to national park: 100B foreigner, 40B Thai Hike to Phraya Nakhon Cave: 1. 515m along the coast, up and down to reach Laem Sala beach 2. Around 1km flat along the beach. There's a restaurant. 3. 430m mostly up through the forest to the cave entrance. The path is shaded, mostly dirt, sharp rocks and makeshift steps. Physically demanding but very rewarding. Water can be bought at the entrance. Closed shoes recommended.

The cave at the end is very impressive. The hike there should be better maintained considering the amount of entrance fee revenue they collect. Path is very slippery in the rain, and there’s hundreds and hundreds of stairs. Highly recommend taking the boat there and back. After the beach, the rest of the trail is a brutal uphill treck. Beautiful to see, but wouldn’t go again. Lots of large orb weaver spiders are in the cave too, just as a warning for arachnophobes.

It's a cave. Steep. A wall runs along the path which is sometimes better. I'm fit. Still took me an hour . Take water . Round a big hill. Then down a cave system. Through 2 chambers into a 3rd which had the temple . 200 baht for adults 100 for kids. . Well worth it.

Interesting little excursion. This park is apparently apart of conservation efforts in the area. A raised wooden path has been constructed through the mangrove to give visitors the opportunity to explore this environment. Information sign are dotted about the path to give you an idea of possible animals,insects or foliage you may see. Sadly not many of these are written in English. The route is a loop which take you back to the car park. Boat ride are available only during high season. Information center, cafe and toilets available near car park. Not push or wheelchair friendly in certain areas as trees have been left where the path was constructed.

Very short walk, but it was beautiful and serene nevertheless. It's more like a mangrove swamp with lots of small crabs. If you go too early in the morning, it'll be low tide so no boats available.

I can’t believe such a beautiful place is free to visit! The 45-minute boat ride costs only 500 THB per boat, and each boat can take up to six people — such a fair price! The lady who took us on the boat was very friendly. Even though she didn’t speak English, she kept pointing out different animals for us to see. We spotted some birds we couldn’t name and even a swimming lizard! If you come to Hua Hin and skip this place, you’re really missing out!

Wonderful place to visit and walk along the trails among mangroves— took a boat tour and sighted the natures and fishing villages. If you are in Hua Hin, this is a must visit place.

A casual spot for a quick 1- to 2-hour walk, Pran Buri Forest Park’s Mangrove Forest offers a peaceful and scenic experience. The wooden walkway is well-constructed and regularly maintained by staff, making the path easy to navigate. There are no steep inclines—just a flat, smooth trail throughout. As the walkway winds through the mangrove forest, there are plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife such as mudskippers, mud crabs, and—if you're lucky—the highly elusive and endangered mud lobster. A highlight of the trail is the watchtower located in the center of the forest. You can climb the three-story structure for a stunning 360-degree view of the surrounding mangroves. On a good day, the skies are bright and sunny, so be sure to bring water and a towel to stay cool and refreshed. Overall, it’s a very family-friendly destination—perfect for a relaxing nature walk.

The Pran Buri Mangrove Forest offers a beautiful circular boardwalk trail that winds through lush greenery. Walking at a relaxed pace, it takes about 40 minutes to complete. About halfway around, there’s the option to take a boat tour — but only during high tide. Just like in our case, the river at low tide doesn’t have enough water for the boats to pass. For the kids, the highlight was spotting the many colorful crabs that scuttle along the banks. They made a game of “collecting” each color with their eyes — a fun twist that kept them engaged the whole way. Admission is free, making it an easy and rewarding stop for families and nature lovers alike. There is a large parking lot for cars and buses, but it was not overcrowded. You should combine this trip with a river boat tour in the nearby fisher village, tonsee the mangrove trees from the river side as well

Great way to experience nature and discover differen kind of animals living undrr the mango trees. The park is wheel chair friendly as well and free entrance.
