Great walk. Please note its 400baht no atm etc nearby so you need take cash. The walk is great this is my second time here. The pool where you can swim does get very busy so i highly recomend leaving very early they say it opens from 10 but when we got there there were already heaps of people walking back i would say try and get there around 9am min. Also do the full walk past the swimming area to the blue pool its a great walk and worth the visit since while your there. No many people do it so its relaxing and only takes 15min enjoy

A place for nature lovers. A little bit far from Krabi but good to go there. You walk about 1 km from the entrance to emerald pool and you can walk more to the blue pool. Everything is beautiful. You feel the jungle. Its worth the effort.

We got there 10 minutes before opening (which is at 8:30) but they let us in anyway. There are 2 routes to the emerald pool, one scenic through the swamp (1000m) and one following the road (800m). We had the pool for almost ourselves for about 20 min, then it got busy real quick. The rocks are extremely slippery but the water is very pleasant. Blue pool opens later and it is another few hundred meters walk to get there.

So pretty, you have the choice of taking a nature walk to see all three pool or to take a straight road to the emerald pool, the nature path is 1km and the straight path is 800m, I personally reccomend taking the nature path and taking your time, the walk itself is beautiful and you get to see all the pools before having a nice swim in the emerald pool. It's also close to the hot springs that you can enjoy on your day trip

This place is pure paradise. The water is a stunning emerald green and crystal clear, and there's a unique hot waterfall that cascades into a natural pool. Kayaked here from railay beach, in about 20mins! Beautiful and secluded, blazed a huge J under some beautifully positioned palm trees etc for some well needed shade. The water was beautiful, clear and warm and definitely worth the kayak trip to this beach! Also possible to explore both the caves at either end of this beach so well worth spending a day here if coming from Ao Nang.

It takes 40 minutes to walk from Railway beach. It is much nicer than Railway beach. Along the way, you get to see some interesting rock formations and there is a rope you can climb (need appropriate footwear, as it is muddy and slippery) but there is a nice viewpoint and a lagoon at the top. Once you arrive at the beach, you can see monkeys and some lizards. People rock climb there too which is interesting to watch

Beautiful beach accessible from Railay East. Caves , rock wall climbing and chilling on Beautiful Phra Nang beach are key attractions. Go early or face massive crowds when securing a spot on the beach. No restrooms Handicap possible. Final take ..RECOMMENDED BUT AGAIN GO EARLY.

Awesome beach. Beautiful fine sand and lovely water. Sheltered in a bay so no big waves really to be concerned about and a great place to either sunbathe or swim. Sunsets are beautiful. Well worth the visit.

A quiet beach of your own with few tourists making it a can’t-miss spot in Krabi. This pristine beach stretches afar from famous Pranang Spirit Cave till the end of the beach with high limestone cliffs. Beautiful Soft sand and clear sea water with multicolor green to blue sea will make your day the most relaxing one. Be sure to spend a lot of time lingering leisurely. During low tide you can simply walk to Happy Island just across the shore.

We booked a ferry from Krabi to Railey Beach. There is a little booth near the docks that sell the tickets and tell you the hours that the ferries run. Once a wooden dragon boat is full it heads out. The boat ride was awesome. Open air and smooth. It was one of my favorite parts island hopping during our trip. When we arrived we wondered until we found a hotel that served breakfast. There was a reasonably priced buffet and we ate there. We spent a few hours at the beach, swimming and enjoying the sun. We saw the rain coming and decided to head to bar and grab a drink. Overall it was a great day, and I highly recommend.

We took long tail boat from Ao Nang at 8:30. We were there before 8:00 but if a group came, they had priority. It was a bit chaotic how the boatmen were organizing the boats. After 30 min we could board. It took 15min and cost 100bhat per person. We were 12 on the boat. When coming back there was 1 more couple waiting. Each of us paid 200 baht and we could go immediately back. West Railay beach is nice with stunning views. Inside the “village” it’s already a bit messy. To go there for 1-day trip ok but I wouldn’t stay there for longer. For cat lovers just check the pictures 😻

Really gorgeous beaches, yummy food, wildlife, and almost everything you need. Cool hippie vibes by the west side. I enjoyed the place and was only there for a few hours. Would love to come back and stay on this side of Krabi for a few days.

Beautiful spot. The swim area towards the cliff has a quite rocky bottom and is shallow at low tide. Further towards the boats the bottom has far more sand and is a nicer walk out to swim.

Railay beach is so beautiful. Especially during the sunset days. They have beautiful long tail boats and the scenery looks wonderful. You can get the long tail boats from Ao Nang to Railay Beach at 200 return. Last boat is at 6.30 PM. Get a boat so you will catch the sunset.

Gorgeous beach but recommend carrying beach shoes to avoid getting hit by rocks especially when going for a swim. The water is nice and warm and sandy patches are good on the beach.

The beach is really relaxing with magnificent views. Has lots of stuff to do, do not stay there for 1 day, stay for more. There is so much to do and see. The first priority place that I'll recommend to you if you will go to Krabi. You can only get there by boat. Its a piece of land surrounded by mountains and cliffs. You will need to pay if hotel doesn't provide a free boat to your destination.

Well the place gets busy by the night and graceful by the morning but always has a vibe there’s always a good view of islands but sometimes due to high tide you have to skip beach days.

Ao Nang Beach is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The water is calm, the sand is clean, and the views make it even more stunning. I loved walking along the beach, especially during sunset — the sky looks magical. The area is also very convenient with lots of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby. Local people are friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. A perfect place to relax, take photos, and enjoy the true beauty of Krabi. Highly recommended!

The town is quite peaceful. The beach is located across the town drive. Clean stretch of beach with beautiful shell and the beach is landmark. Loved the location and the scenic beauty. My personal advise is to stay in a hotel closer to beach and night market. You are always in the heart of all activities.

Lots of tourists and touristy stalls; the beach itself wasn’t very nice. The Monkey Trail was good, though, and the sunset view from the beach was nice. Ideal for a one-hour visit during sunset, but nothing more.

The 360° Viewpoint at Koh Hong offers impressive panoramic views once you reach the top — the surrounding islands, turquoise waters, and dramatic cliffs are a photographer’s dream. That said, the climb is quite steep and involves a lot of stairs — definitely not for everyone, especially in the heat. There’s no shade along the way, and the steps can be slippery if it’s rained, so proper footwear is a must. While the view is rewarding, the effort required might not feel entirely worth it for some, especially when the island below already offers plenty of scenic spots. A decent experience overall, but manage your expectations and come prepared.

A short 15-minute climb takes you to the top, where you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful 360-degree panoramic view — absolutely worth the effort. It’s also home to the only clean beach in the area that’s truly suitable for swimming and playing. A perfect spot for both a light adventure and a relaxing beach day!

Gorgeous views to the Andaman See. The stairs are quite steep but if you climbed already to the Tiger Cave, to reach this viewpoint won’t be difficult.

It's a hard, sweaty climb. You need good functional knees and a lot of sunscreen. Drink water and take it slow. At least the stairs are modern and equal. The view is fantastic! It takes about 20-25 minutes at a moderate pace to reach the top. After you go down, i recommend the nearby beach

It’s an amazing place location but during the trip u will be tired to go there only to sit for 15 min and will continue the rest of the trip during the day. For me I’ll prefer to sit in island rather than roaming around to take pictures only.

We had a slow boat expedition to James Bond Island. Compared to speed boat in which we went to Phi Phi Island, we enjoyed more on this slow boat. Beautiful, scenic cruise 🛳. Canoeing through the caves were adventurous and exciting. Must do... highly recommended

Khao Phing Kan was one of the four stops during this wonderful boat tour. The James Bond Island was amazing. At two other stops, we canoed into caves. Reaching an atoll through the cave was a surreal experience. The boat crew was great who made the tour an enjoyable experience.

What a great experience to visit Khao Phing Kan / JAMES BOND ISLAND on a privet longtail motor boat.The place is a historic monument after the movie "The man with the Golden Gun" was filmed in 1974. My Capitan "TIGER" took me on the most majestic tour with super nice , breathtaking scenic places .

I was expecting something better. Boat trip to the bond island was a nice experience, through mangroves. But the island itself was a bit disappointing and crowded.

I must say that when we went here there were reviews that experience was underwhelming for few people but I politely disagree. The structure is the middle of the water looks amazing and looked so much better than what we saw in the movie There are ample photo opportunities and you want to be careful while swimming in muddy water because of sea shells. Must visit

This place called 'museum' is not worth visiting it. It costs 300 Bath for 1 adult. It is not free entrance! Inside you only see pictures after the tsunami and a simple video how a tsunami exists. Both you can see by surfing on the Internet. Outside you see a stranded police boat which was thrown 2 km's inside the land, but for take a picture from the streets, you don't need to go inside the museum for buying a ticket. 50 meters before the museum there is a shop at the left side, also with pictures and handy craft. Entrance is free. Never seen such a bad accommodated 'museum'.

There's a structure that represents the size of the tsunami wave, which is quite interesting. There's also a police boat that got washed inland 2 kilometers, where the boat is still standing now. Put aside from that, there's not much else to see. You could be there 10 minutes

Basic museum but videos upstairs worth watching available in English, German and French. 1 HR 20 mins long but a must see. Nice little gift shop. Boat was under mesh due to construction but you could still see it well enough. Its huge size brings home the sheer power of the tsunami that could throw it 2km inland.

A good place to visit, a somber moment to reflect on the power of nature and its possible destruction. Many lives were lost and disrupted, those who were saved or survived are thankful that they have been given another chance. Stark reminder of humanity against nature.

Small but meaningful museum There’s no entrance fee the introductory film was incredibly moving. It reminded me how powerful and unpredictable nature can be. Thai people are truly resilient and kind. Anyone who visits Thailand should come with respect and appreciation for this land and people.

A lot of critical reviews on here but it’s worth noting that this is a non profit organisation. Yes the displays could be better and the videos better quality, however the visit still brings out the horrific disaster that the people of Khao Lak went through (and many others). If you want to save money look on YouTube but if you want to support the cause then pay them a visit. The memorial park is currently under renovation so no access to police boat

I am unsure how people can give low ratings for the "experience" of this place. It is small and could do with a slightly better layout. That is not the point of this place though. Go there, watch the videos, look at the pictures, then hold your kids tight and just be grateful that you were not one of those who died.

It is a lovely beach, not the best I've experienced , not picturesque or paradise, but a good swim and some swings on the beach. The restaurants want you to eat in their establishment then charge you for sunbeds,, i personally think this is greedy. I sat under a tree as did a few others I ordered a chicken fried rice which was mostly vegetables and 3 bits of chicken I was told because its only 100 baht. Though they did offer to swap for chips as my little one wouldn't eat the chicken fried rice. There is a block of free toilets and shower to use which is especially important for anyone of the females that is on a menstrual cycle or anyone that has a wee problem.

Beautiful beach with very calm atmosphere. Right on this spot on the map there is a small cafe run by an elderly Thai couple, which serve drinks for a very affordable prices comparing to the other restaurants around. My mango shake was delicious. Seems like they took a bar of an old abandoned resort. You may also have a walk and see it, see how the nature of jungle „eating“ man made structures.

Fantastic placel beautiful beach

I would definitely recommend a day trip to this park, with its huge lake, when you are visiting the Khao Lok area. We had a guided day tour (which I would recommend to see everything) and it was a memorable and enjoyable trip. We stopped at the Three Sisters limestone formations for some photos, and cruised around the lake. We stopped at one of the numerous and unique floating hotels here for lunch, and did some swimming and kayaking. Definitely add it to your list of “must dos” when you are visiting Khao Lok.

One of the highlights of our stay in the area, definitely worth booking a trip to see Khao Sok and Cheow Lan Lake. Fantastic scenery! It’s easy to book a private longtail boat on GetYourGuide. We had a hire car and drove to the park from Khao Lak.

Khao Sok National Park is an absolutely stunning place — one of the most beautiful natural spots in Thailand. The scenery is breathtaking, with dramatic limestone cliffs, lush jungle, and a peaceful lake. There are plenty of activities like canoeing, hiking, and boat tours that let you truly enjoy the nature. Everything feels calm and magical. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature and adventure!

I would definitely recommend doing a 2 day 1 night tour as you get to see loads of the national parks sights and you get to wake up on the lake which in my case was spectacular. However be prepared for very basic overnight conditions but it made no difference to us.

A beautiful park, I'd definitely recommend visiting if you're in Khao Sok!! Although everyone speaks about the lake tours as if this is the only activity in Khao Sok, we found this amazing park full of beautiful scenery of many types - a wild jungle, divine waterfalls & stunning rivers. Entrance fee is 200 baht per person, and you can either enter on your own and walk until a limited point (about 6km back & forth) or you can take a guide and walk further. If you do decide to take a guide, make sure to book them in advance. We decided to walk on our own, so we have more privacy, and it took us about 3 hours long, including some stops on the way, and dipping in the amazing Wing Hin waterfall. To conclude, if you're looking for a more unique and custom made experience in Khao Sok, this is definitely a most visit.

While I loved the park and everything about it, I'd like to bring to attention this boatman guy/ guide, and request all to avoid him to have a stress free trip. This guy speaks no English, and if he does, refuses to talk- as a guide, that is one of the major things one should do. He smoked weed/ some narcotic, made us pay for kayaking (which we had already paid for to our tour operator) - since it was only a 100Baht per person, the three of us who had booked the boat privately paid again because this guy refused to communicate. At the caves, he walked on at his own pace, shining the light randomly, and made to exit within 5 minutes. Thankfully we latched onto another group who had an English speaking guide to make sense of the wonders of the cave. We managed to click a whipping scorpion and a cricket with that group- a stark difference. After leaving the cave, he stopped in the middle of the water to light another joint, at which point we thought it a good idea to fly our professional camera drone for some photography. As soon as our drone gained some height, the boatman moved the boat forward, when we shouted at him with sign language to stop the boat. While landing the drone, since the boat had moved, the drone fell into the water, just short distance from where the boatman sat. Had he not been stoned enough, he could have moved his hand and caught the drone. The drone fell into the water, the boatman looked at the drone, looked at us, and shrugged his shoulders as if to say, your problem. The complain I wish to raise, is that this guy was so stoned, that if a human would have fallen off, he would simply have let the person drown, despite wearing a life jacket and knowing how to swim. Since we had to leave to catch our connecting flight from Phuket to Chiang Mai, we didn't have time to officially complain. In case anyone reads this, please ensure to avoid this guide. For your own well being.

Large beach of several kilometers where it is good to walk. The color of the water changes according to the weather. Beware the sea is sometimes very rough with a lot of waves. Lots of massage tent all along and many bars and restaurants to enjoy the view.

We weren’t sure whether to bother with this beach initially, a slight concern that it might be crazy busy and full of rubbish etc… however I’m glad we did because it’s one of the most beautiful beaches on Samui. Sand colour on any beach can appear to change from white to yellow depending on the sun/conditions, but the few days we spent here it was white sand and calm blue waters. Theres loads to do with bars, restaurants and sunbeds to rent. Plus jet skis etc for those that are interested. It wasn’t too busy in June and there was no hassle from beach sellers. The planes coming in and out of Samui Airport made for an interesting back drop too.

I Love Koh Samui ❤️ Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui’s most popular stretch, is a 7km crescent of soft, white sand with crystal-clear waters. The southern end offers serene vibes, ideal for relaxation and stunning sunrises, while the northern part buzzes with resorts, bars, and nightlife. Water sports like jet-skiing and snorkeling thrive, but strong currents and occasional litter can mar the experience. Beachside massages and dining are highlights, though crowds and noise may overwhelm some. Perfect for lively beachgoers; quieter seekers should stick south.

Nice beach with clean water and clean sands. Some areas have shallow water so we did have to walk around it and find a good side. Many water sports activities available and some vendors. There are many cafés all around.

Chaweng Beach is truly beautiful – soft white sand, clear water and a long, wide shoreline that’s perfect for swimming, walking and relaxing. It’s one of the nicest beaches on Koh Samui, with a great balance of scenery, comfort and atmosphere. One thing to be aware of is that from around July there can sometimes be jellyfish in the water. I personally didn’t encounter any, but it’s something worth keeping in mind. Also, don’t listen to people who claim that July is “dry season” on Koh Samui – that’s simply not true. It does rain, and the weather can be cloudy and unpredictable. While Samui is usually drier than other parts of Thailand at that time of year, it’s definitely not a guaranteed dry season. Overall, though, Chaweng Beach is fantastic and absolutely worth visiting – just be realistic about the seasonal conditions.

The souvenirs at the night market are a bit of a tourist trap but the food is absolutely top-notch and very affordable. We just wanted to keep eating, everything was so good. Do note that it doesn't run every day so make sure you check in advance to avoid disappointment.

A lively and popular night market with a wide variety of food and souvenir stalls. This market offers a vibrant atmosphere and a great selection of local dishes and souvenirs, making it a pleasant place to explore during an evening on Koh Samui. It is quite popular among visitors, so it can get busy around 6:30 p.m. Those interested in a more traditional Thai street food experience may wish to explore some of the smaller local markets as well. Overall, it’s an enjoyable stop for anyone wanting to experience the island’s lively night market scene.

This continues to be the best night market in Samui. There’s an incredible variety of food stalls offering everything from authentic Thai dishes to international favourites. We’re always drawn to the banana cakes, they’re absolutely delicious and this time we also loved the chicken wraps from the vendor next to the central seating area. Any of the Pad Thai stalls are a safe bet too. We skipped the sushi and cocktails due to past experiences, but plenty of other visitors seemed to be enjoying them. We took some time to sit in the centre and enjoy the beatboxer’s performance, he’s genuinely talented and well worth giving a small tip. After eating, we wandered around the market stalls. There’s something for everyone, and the sellers are generally open to friendly price negotiations, as long as you’re polite. We picked up a bag last night, and the bargaining was done respectfully, leaving both sides happy. If you’re in Samui, this market is a must-visit. Come hungry, enjoy the entertainment, and take your time exploring.

Perfect place to chill.Find restaurants with wide range of multi cuisines. One can explore the local food with scenic sea view. You can shop souvenirs for your loved ones.

Excellent market on 3 nights a week. A great mix of everything from street food stalls to clothes and trinkets. Live music and cocktails and a great atmosphere make a great night out. Plenty of taxis outside if you are not staying in the area. Plus a large car park for those with car or moped.

This place is awesome and you can get a beautiful sunset view at the right time. Lots of planes flying overhead too which got us some pretty cool shots. Full of cats and dogs on the bottom section (they don’t go upstairs from what we saw)

The Big Buddha itself is stunning, but the panoramic view of the coast and city from the hill is the real bonus. It’s a bright, cheerful, and spiritually inspiring place. Beautiful temple surrounded by cafes and shops. Ciao🌺

My first ever temple/buddhist place I visited - and I loved it. Beautiful and unique architecture + sculptures. But a lot of tourists - I think if there are maybe a few less it would be more stunning. Cool place.

The temple complex is peaceful and full of vibrant details — souvenir shops, cold drinks, snacks, and clean restrooms are available on-site. As you walk around, you can explore smaller shrines and colorful statues before reaching the grand staircase leading to the massive golden Buddha. Shops around there, white dress shops are favorite. Enjoy to pray for my family. And happy to knock the big bells hanging on the ceiling. Exciting statue and we better take our shoes off for paying respects to lord Buddha. Nice views are available on top of the temple. There is a small monastery at base of temple and monk can bless you if you believe in superstition and religion. Peaceful at all.

It was very close to the place where I was staying. Every morning when I went to take a dip in the sea i could see the statue close by. I was intrigued to see it for myself. Very close to the Pier. When I reached here it was quite early in the morning around 9ish, few people around, and I was lucky to witness the place all alone. As the others came to it only after I was leaving. Amazing to see a monk chant the Mantras and feel the tranquility in the air. I enjoyed every second of it. Kinda felt blessed.

We have been here with a guided tour in 3 small islands and 1 snorkeling spot and has been an amazing experience! The National Marine Park is pristine and you can visit from beautiful beaches to a breathtaking view points. We have managed to enjoy some relaxing time and to prove our self on really tough trails to reach the viewing points,but has been worth it! We have been so lucky to find monkeys with babies during one of thr trail and to see some huge and colored fishes in the snorkeling point. The emerald lagoon is amazing aswell! If you are here around you cannot miss this.

Amazing national park and must see when in the south of Thailand. Gorgeous views, clear water, many nice activities and many animals! Including cute monkeys. Do watch out that they don't take your stuff.

Absolutely stunning marine park with turquoise water, limestone islands, and breathtaking viewpoints. The scenery is incredible, both from the boat and from the hilltop trails. Snorkeling and kayaking are great ways to explore the area. Well organized tours and respectful handling of nature. A must-visit when staying around Koh Samui or Koh Phangan.

Wide variety of activities to do from hiking to scenic viewpoints, swimming, snorkeling, hanging out at the beach, and watching wild life. Had a good experience traveling to this island from Koh samui via Grand Sea discovery.

Wonderful trip, we got everything we needed, they took great care of us, Mr. Thai was very funny and kind, and his jokes made the whole day even better. The hike to the viewpoint took 20–40 minutes depending on experience and fitness level. A must-do is kayaking (if you don’t go kayaking, you’ll end up waiting on a crowded beach). We booked it through GetYourGuide.

My honest review would be that I was not expecting this tour to be as exhausting as it was. I appreciate the operator and the tour guides, and the views are nice. However, the travel time from the pier to the first island is quite long, which already drains my energy. Then, the nature trail to the viewpoint is another exhausting one. The tour guides can mention in advance that if they are interested, they can hike. I cannot recommend this tour to those who are weak in endurance. Plus, I think the trail is not just 500 meters long. So, I decided to go down after the next stop. There is less time at the beach to explore and swim. The lunch provided is so-so. The kayaking was also too much with the distance. It was quite exhausting, and we were not informed that it would be very far, plus the waves were strong. If you can find another island tour aside from this, I recommend choosing that instead.

If you’re reading this then this is the touristy part of the beach. On Google there are two markers that show up for this beach. The beach is basically split by a hill/rocks in between. Didn’t go to the other part of this beach but could see it being rather empty from where we were. Overall a very nice beach. Clear water, no rocks or corals for miles which makes it ideal for swimming. The shore is pretty wide and long so you’ll find a spot to lay down but probably not many shady areas since most of them are taken up by the loungers from cafes and restaurants that extend through this beach. It was a bit crowded when we went but given how wide and expansive the shore was, it didn’t feel crammed for space. Parking for scooters and cars were available few metres from the beach. Mini marts also available around the parking area if you want to grab some water and snacks before you enter the beach.

Beautiful sunrise at the stoned beach in Thong Nai Pan!! Drive through the resort during early morning was easy and the security guard let us drive in with the car and park there 👍 and then we walk for about a minute to the beach... The resort also has a good view point, walk up the steps once you get to the beach and up to the view point

During our day tour of Koh Phangan Island,our guide brought us here to spend some time. It was a beautiful long beach. There were few resorts and restaurants overlooking the sea. Boating facility was also available. The beach was quite long and very clean. Ideal for couples and families.

It is a very beautiful beach, but the journey is quite uncomfortable because there are many hills and hills to reach the beach. But we are tourists, this is not a problem, but there is no shade from trees to stay because the hotels in that area are private.

We (the tourists) took the best part away years ago. Above the water everything looks clean and neat. Beautiful sunset etc. Underwater different situation. There is not much littering to be seen however most corals are basically dead. Same as Koh Tao all around the island the snorkel spots look like grave yards. Few fishes here and there. The years of extended underwater tourism with unprotected exposure to dum and ignorant people who would just stand on the corals took its toll. It’s a disgrace. Maybe too late the Thai finally introduced stricter measures. Best thing to do for us - not come back for 50 years

An absolute must visit when in Koh Tao. This island is absolutely gorgeous, the white sands, turquoise waters and the stunning greenery and scenery make this an absolute paradise. Instead of booking an expensive tour to visit here, we drove to the hotel Dusit Buncha and paid a few hundred baht to use there boat service which goes usually most hours and takes about 10 minutes.

did a three hour trip to this island near Koh Tao and it was absolutely worth it! It’s about 10 min with long tail taxi boat The water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming and snorkeling. There’s also a viewpoint that you can’t miss. The most amazing panoramic views of the island and the sea. A must do when visiting Koh Tao!

Lovely little island for a couple hours on the beach and snorkeling. I was surprised they have a restaurant. You can rent umbrellas and chairs to get outta the sun. There is a hike you can do for a great view.

The market offers a variety of performances, as well as art and food for sale (though the taste might be a bit bland for a Thai like me). If you want to buy food, exchange your coupon first. I also recommend the massage shop at the very back. The masseuses are very skilled. I felt so comfortable that I fell asleep during the massage.

A wonderful night market with good food, good vibe and interesting artisan stalls. The pad thai hor kai, oyster omelette, coconut ice cream, and mango smoothie are all very delicious. There is a shadow show with a teenager singing and playing the shadow character, which is very interesting.

Great night market with lots of arts, handcrafted goods and live music and live acts all around, also some activities for kids to enjoy. The food variety offers something for everyone, but I would still recommend to go for authentic Thai dishes, there is so much, you may have to come multiple times 😊 It’s very convenient to get there, paid parking spaces are also available for 50 thb.

Went here and it having food festival.. Berry crowded.. many food and drink stalls.. Music.. Water fountain and lights in the night.. I saw many family here also lovers.. Everyone relaxing and enjoying the views and vibes.. So happy to feel this beach with the festival U can find temples and monkeys too Aaaah elephant village too

This is one long beachfront for the numerous hotels and condos. Except for the northern tip there is basically no place to sit and enjoy. The white sand is mostly washed away. Dirty with plastics in many places. Jet skis drive very close to the coast making it dangerous to swim. A lot of horse handlers walk the beach looking for customers. Is a sad scene honestly.

Accessible to everyone. Clean, white fine sand and clear waters. We went there in the morning and the evening. Early morning is recommended (sunrise) and late night (about 8pm onwards), at nighttime we rented a picnic mat for 50 baht (optional) with no time limit and we truly enjoyed the view at night. Just bring your choice of foods and it’s gonna be perfect.

This beach is nice but crowded. I rented a chair with umbrella roof for 100b. It started to rain and the umbrella roof didn’t help. I ordered a coconut smoothie for 70b. Both were expensive I thought. I’ll check out a different area of the beach next time.

This is a long beach, so I'll focus on the northern end bounded by Hilton since that is my preferred part of the beach. The reason is simply the ability to get deck chairs, loungers and food brought to you without having to use one of the beachfront resorts. There's about 20 deck chair vendors and in low season, there's not really enough customers to go around. The food and drinks cover the standard Thai options. The food is pretty overpriced, but that's the price you pay for convenience. Some people mentioned clean water, but it didn't look clean to me. I was there during low season and there weren't that many beach activities other than horse riding. In the 7 days on the beach I saw one group take a banana boat ride and one jet ski ride, so the activities do run if there are enough people.

Have many rocks here but it's nice , the only place you can get shade if you get a table. Food good and beers around 70 bht for a small my club sandwich 200 bht , tables normal free if you order . Not bad. Can check out youtube video. @chilishot5760 .

Food was fresh and tasty. Had the wine and tapas tasting. Definitely worth it. The ambience is cooling and different as there are not many vineyards in thailand. Staff was attentive and friendly. Maybe you could have a bigger play area for the kids and have a wine tasting fee that allows customers to taste any wine they choose to.

I attended a private theater night event with a 3-course wine pairing meal. It was an incredible experience. We were super lucky with the weather—cool and pleasant, making it a great time to sit in the middle of a vineyard. The food was exceptional, perfectly complementing the classic film Sideways, which delves into intriguing topics about wine. It was a truly memorable evening, and I was grateful for the invitation!

Arrived here on the 10am shuttle from the Monsoon Valley Wine Bar. Journey time approximately 45 minutes. At 11am the group of us were taken on a vineyard tour. English speaking guide and very knowledgeable. The tour lasted about 30 minutes and included in the price of the shuttle from the wine bar if I recall correctly. The views are beautiful and it is well worth seeing. After the vineyard tour a group of us were taken to the elephant 🐘 sanctuary where we were able to feed bananas to two male elephants (6yo 10yo). Didn't last long but still enjoyable and worth doing. Back to the restaurant where we had lunch and wine tasting with tapas. Sadly this is when the place let us down as the tapas did not arrive at the same time as they gave me the wines to taste. The cashew chicken is delicious. As were the tapas. On an aside the views from the toilets are worth seeing

Very good wine and food; with an excellent atmosphere. This is my second visit to the vineyard and noticed this time we pulled up to a booth which required each person pay a cash only 200 ThB fee before you can enter the parking lot. This voucher can be used toward any expense including wine, your meal, or items in the gift shop, etc. They do not have any sweet wine options to choose from, but my party liked the Signature Red wine. The food taste and presentation are very good. I gave the food 4 stars because I thought the amount of food on several plates were a bit sparse. I would have liked to see a slightly larger portion knowing the price paid ~370 ThB per plate. The cheesecake was one of the best I've had in Thailand so far. I am not a big wine person but I don't believe you would be disappointed with this place.

Let’s get the first problem over with John Monsoon, the dessert is awful. I ordered a berry pie and it’s just a shell with berry concentrate filled to the brim, and not even your wine could tune down this deadly sweetness. But apart from their food, I think the wine tastes great! It pairs well with the beautiful, mountain-stretching vineyard. The winetasting tour on the other hand doesn’t bode well with the time I went there. It’s said that the best time to take the tour is in February or March, so I couldn’t be bothered.

Clean, plenty of chairs and shade, limited but affordable food options, fun for little and big kids. Lockers available. Cabanas can be rented for 2,000 baht per day; I think they have AC and TV! Bring your own towels but no outside food or drink. Pricey but worth it. Residents qualify for a discount.

I had a pleasant stay here, the staff are kind and helpful. They listen to your request, even though I think that they need more training in their product knowledge and English but I know they are trying to give their best service. I love their interior, so pretty and colorful. They also have common room to grab coffee, tea or hot chocolate for free and a cozy playroom. There are no international chanel available, so watching TV is not an option if you can't understand Thai. Everything else is as good as I expected.

We only visited the water park which I did enjoy very much. However the for how much I enjoyed the park the down side was there rules on food and drink, we had a bag check which solo reason was to look for food and drink. This would not be a problem but once we were in the park most western food such as burgers and pizza was not available. I don't have a problem if you have food and drink for us in the park but when you don't there is no reason not to let us take it in. Furthermore we had to buy a towel but the quality was very poor, I wish there has been better quality towels as would be happy to buy on as a memory for our holiday.

A very very pretty hotel. Looks like santorini and it has a pretty decent and interesting theme park connected to it. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. They serve super decent breakfast and also have many rooms like games room, relax room and common room. A very well equipped hotel. I would highly recommend this place! By far one of the best hotel and best look alike!

We had a wonderful and memorable stay here. It's really heart warming when we first stepped in to our room as it was decorated with balloons and "Happy Birthday" banner and also birthday present 😍 **We were here to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday and we did leave a note upon booking. Room was great! Clean,spacious and cozy.Easy excess to Santorini Theme Park & Water park. My children truly enjoyed it very much and hoping to come back again. Disadvantage : no food after 6:30pm, not even the hotel will provide u food. However, there's a nice restaurant which is about 3km away from hotel and taxi charges for 2ways @ 300Tbh. Another choice would be, packet some food at the theme park before they close.

The only cons of Place was completely outskirts, very hard to get any convince store and food outside, and very hard to get Grabs! Hotel rated as 3 stars, but everything they perform, to be fair I rate them 4 stars !! For those who prepare to visit nearby Camel Republic, Swiss Sheep Farm and Premium Outlet altogether, can stay here for a night is the ideal proposal! Breakfast got Vegetarian option for Vegetarians!

I edited my review to a 5 Star because of the staffs consolidated efforts and tenacity to right things by improving on their services and professional ethics. For that I am indeed impressed. Most important thing about Hospitality Business is that there’s always room for improvement and even though small in stature compared to other 5 Stars Hotels, the Santorini staffs’ efforts alone can stand toe to toe with numerous 5 stars Hotels; any day! A peaceful and moving place that honors the memory of Allied POWs who died building the Death Railway. The cemetery is beautifully maintained and offers a quiet space for reflection. A must visit if you're in Kanchanaburi and interested in WWII history.

Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, also known as Don-Rak War Cemetery, is the primary burial ground for prisoners of war who died during the construction of the Burma Railway, also known as the Death Railway. Located in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, it holds the graves of over 6,900 Allied soldiers, primarily British, Australian, and Dutch, who perished from exhaustion, malnutrition, and disease.

A sad memorial to prisoners of war who died on a construction of the railway. Most of the soldiers died in their 20s. Well maintained.

The Kanchanaburi war cemetery is a solemn place dedicated to the memory of the fallen during world war 2. There were many nationalities during this period but I believe majority of the ones buried here are either British or Australian. It's right across the death railway museum.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful place of remembrance whilst also full of sadness. The place is extremely well kept and in pristine condition. Thankyou to the local workers here.

Visit this place to give respect to war sufferers, who lost their lives during world war 2. Similar cemetery is at Kohima , Nagaland , India where the Japanese were defeated by allied armies.

My 91 year old father returned to Thailand after 51 years to visit me and my girlfriend. We decided to bring him to this historic area seeing how he is a history buff. He served in the United States Air Force. He loved seeing and touching things he had read about or seen in movies. I am happy to create memories with him in this capacity.

4th October 2025: Historic location to visit, we visited at the start of the tourist season and it was ok, would imagine in high season the whole area is extremely busy. There is a POW camp on the other side of the river, the place is a total myth and tourist trap as no camp ever existed there. Plenty to see in the bridge area with the museum and cemetery in close proximity.

Very beautiful place not to Miss. Many people come here as it has a big history from world war. Magnificent Creation in those days. I like. There are many photos shots. Don't forget to bring your camera. Come when train comes. Very good. 2025 Oct

It is a nice place to visit, it is a must for those who care about history. Everything about the place says "old." Not very well maintained. The museum is mostly old and faded pictures. The bridge need some fixing. The train looks like it hasn't been updated since 1942. But, this is Thailand, not big on maintenence. The market is cool, but same old trinkets.

An amazing piece of history must see. The Thai museum is not that good but a better one is at the cemetery in town. You can ride the train across if you buy a ticket. The restaurant on the water is a little pricey for Thailand but a great view of the bridge. A recommend going if you can.

This place is a very scenic area, the river, the green hills in the background, and the old trains make it great for photos. You can walk across the bridge but just watch out for the tourist train that occasionally comes through. There are lots of food stalls, coffee shops, and souvenir stores around, so it’s easy to spend an hour here. I visited around 2 PM, it was not too hot, and the light was beautiful.

The River Kwai Bridge is a popular tourist spot. It's a great place to take photos, but if you want to capture the iconic shot of a train crossing, be sure to check the train schedule in advance—I missed the timing. The area around the bridge is filled with souvenir stalls, cafes, and restaurants. It was incredibly hot, so I only spent about 45 minutes there, taking a few photos before leaving. I did, however, have some delicious and reasonably priced soup noodles at a nearby restaurant. Parking is limited, so it's a good idea to plan ahead.

When visiting Bangkok, don't miss the Death Railway, about a 3-hour by vehicle from the city. Enjoy scenic views along the way, with affordable restaurants and drink shops around the station.

Tham Krasae Death Railway Bridge is a pretty cool spot, though it does get crowded with tourists. The view is absolutely lovely, especially with the river and the tracks curving along the cliffside. The best part was taking the train afterward—it was such a great experience, with beautiful scenery passing by.

Nice place to take some beautiful pictures and learn something about the modern history of Thailand during the 2nd world war. You could walk over these train tracks to a cave nearby. There's also a beautiful view from here of the surroundings.

Tham Kra Sae is one of the most impressive and historic spots along the Death Railway. The wooden tracks hugging the cliffside above the river are breathtaking to see, and walking along them feels like stepping back in time. The small cave with the Buddha image adds a spiritual touch to this place. A must-visit for history lovers and travelers exploring Kanchanaburi.

Part of the Siam-Burma railway, also known as the death railway. We took a train from Nam Tok station and passed this section. The railway sure looks old, the train had to go very slowly when passing this section. A cool experience but I was just wondering how long can this last before an accident happens (unless they do replace part of the foundation). People will rush to one side of the train to take photos as well, which could make it worse lol. well, we alighted safely.

Take the train from the railway bridge to get here. It's beautiful, historic, majestic and enjoyable. You can get a ride to take you somewhere else after that.

Would have rated this place a 5 star if it weren’t for this one bad experience. So here was what happened, we are a group of 7 people(tourists) who went on the moving train on that death railway bridge to get to another stop just for sightseeing and when we got on the train we were charged 100 baht for each person just to get to another one stop which I think the price is extremely unreasonable while the locals at that same time were charged 3 baht per person, like I mean who made these prices and it was too late for all of us to get off the train because it’s already moving, plus I also believed the ticket inspection officer just made up the prices right out of his mouth and I don’t think it is the official price for tourists, other than this bad experience it’s a great historical site with splendid views ideal for photography and sightseeing

The area is beautiful, consists of 7 waterfalls. There are golf carts that can help you get to the first few levels, but after that you're on your own. It is definitely a hike and you need to be ready to walk/trek and the path is not smooth. You can swim normally in some of the waterfalls, some only with a life jacket (which you can rent) and some you cannot swim at all. I recommend renting a life jacket and swimming in the earlier levels, as level 7 is the "pinnacle", but there are small fish there that keep biting you, and no one was comfortable swimming in level 7. I wish they sold snacks/drinks at the higher levels, because after the early levels there is nothing but the watefalls, and they take your food/drinks at that checkpoint. It's beautiful, requires a lot of physical effort, and it was rather underwhelming overall. Pictures are better than the reality. If you want to save money, stay in Kanchanaburi and just take a bus or a grab to Erawan.

Stunning. Some of the most beautiful falls I've ever seen. To see all 7 levels is quite a hike but accessible to most. Well worth the walk. The lower 3 levels take very little effort and are fantastic.

My first and last nationalpark in this country! What is this a waterpark or a protected area for wildlife? Luckily i saw some wildlife otherwise it would be a complete disappointment.As a waterpark great i guess especially for families for all nature lovers avoid. Should had spend the time and money for a thai massage . P.s. Tourists who visit my country don't need to pay more for the same attractions as locals.Really shameful.

This is a truly stunning waterfall. There are seven levels, so be sure to bring good hiking shoes, as you'll feel like you're hiking all the time, and there are quite a few steep steps. It feels like you're climbing a mountain. Food and drinks are available for purchase, but you'll need to purchase a coupon. Life jackets are also available for those who want to swim. There are always staff on hand to assist. It was quite a lot of people , but it's well worth it.

Great hike up to 7 levels of beautiful waterfalls. I went there with my gf and my son and we all loved it. Make sure to take breaks to swim in the water. Free fish massage included.

The place is not that close to anything but wow the waterfalls are amazing there are many more than 7 waterfalls it's just that you can enter at 7 points but it's worth the trip an amazing place highly recommend

fantastic experience. sure foreigners pay alot more at 300 but its great value for what you get. pools filled with tame fish who will nibble at your feet. the first 2 tiers were good. the ones after that aren't worth the hike up.

Hellfire Pass Interpretive Center is a facility that I believe is funded by the Australians so it's very well maintained and free to enter. A very moving experience, especially for any nationality involved in the building of the railway. The Australian Government looks after the area and it is free admission. I highly recommend taking a free Audio Device and taking the walk as far as Hammer & Tap Cutting.

This place is a museum about the railway construction during World War II, as well as a viewing platform and hiking trails. My boyfriend and I visited on a weekend. The museum is free to enter. The staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. There are cafes and restaurants around the area. The museum itself is educational about the history of the railway cutting during World War II. Afterwards, there is a guided walk through the area, where the staff will ask you if you want to hike close or long distances. It's like hiking. I recommend wearing sneakers because the road is forested and rocky. You should also bring mosquito repellent and drinking water. Each person is provided with a radio and an audio headset, both in Thai and English. When you're done, return them to the staff. It's totally worth it! We loved it. Highly recommended.

Completely free experience. Spectacular view. Fascinating, free, audio tour, really brings the walk to life. You just hand in a piece of ID (drivers licence). Has an easy short walk and more demanding longer walk. Good shop merch too.

The Hellfire Pass Interpretive Center is an incredibly moving and educational experience. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, giving the history and sacrifices made during the construction of the Thai-Burma Railway. Walking the trail and seeing the actual pass is both humbling and unforgettable. The audio guide is perfect. It’s a place that honors history with dignity and respect. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area—this is more than a museum; it’s a tribute to resilience and courage.

This museum is wonderfully set-up to commemorate, honor and show respect to those who were forced into hard labor as POW. Sadly, o-so many did not survive. The entry is free, the introduction by the staff is fantastic, complete with a map and audio to explain each of the stations. Staff is great to help and guide you, from the guard at the gate to the staff in the building. Please be prepared to walk several stairs to start and finish each walk. You have the choice to walk the short or longer distance. Either walk gives you great details about the hardships the POWs had to endure. The displays are well set up with clear explanations in Thai and English (on the plaques and audio). Please visit this museum to get a distant glimpse of how the POWs had to suffer. I will definitely go back for the long walk to get more details.

The Shwedagon Pagoda is Myanmar’s most sacred Buddhist site, a 112 meter tall golden stupa in Yangon. It was constructed 2,600 years ago which is now the oldest Buddhist stupa in the world. Houses relics of the past four Buddhas, including eight hairs of the current Buddha, making it a pilgrimage site of global importance. The pagoda complex is adorned with thousands of gold plates, diamonds, rubies, and other significant stones. We were so lucky that it was sunny the day we went since it is rainy season in Yangon and it was raining most of the time while we were there. It was scorching hot that day, we cannot stay for more than an hour to see the huge complex. I was only able to take few photos as we were both melting and the tile floor can get very hot, I was walking like a kangaroo on barefoot. No footwear allowed upon entering. I was in awe with the beauty and history of the pagoda and other temples. Truly thankful to be able to see this complex for once in my life travels. #labonitaviajera #iamkbonita #shwedagonpagoda

The place is huge and very impressive. The ticket is 25000 and you have to pay in cash and ATM is only inside(!), so you can’t get inside unless you have cash. Girls who give tickets won’t let me in, I was lucky a guide helped me P.S. the ticket says that the price is 10000, so not about legitimacy of their posters

Very nice experience to go here in the evening. Last time I went in the daytime so it was another kind of experience. In brief, very nice and beautiful. Very big place so you should spare at least 1 hour to be here.

This is one of the most famous Buddhist temples in Yangon, known for its largest Buddha image in Myanmar. The Buddha statue was first built in 1907 as an open-air sitting Buddha. It was unfortunately blown up by the Japanese in the Second World War. It was rebuilt in 1953 to the current white big reclining Buddha. Besides the Buddha statue, there are also painting depicting the life of Buddha on the wall. Worth a visit

Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha is the third-largest reclining Buddha in Myanmar, located in Yangon. The Buddha statue is incredibly beautiful, measuring 65 meters long and 16 meters high. One of its most special features is its very large and expressive eyes, which add to its majestic appearance. Walking to the back, you will find Thep Than Jai, where visitors can ask for blessings and make wishes. The reclining Buddha is truly magnificent and offers a serene and spiritual atmosphere. Visitors can also climb the stairs at the back of the Buddha to take stunning pictures, providing a unique perspective of this grand statue. I highly recommend visiting this temple for those interested in Buddhist culture and history or simply to admire its beauty and tranquility.

Visited on November 15, 2024 Today, I had the chance to visit Chaukhtatgyi Buddha Temple in Yangon, and it was an absolutely stunning experience. The temple is home to a massive reclining Buddha statue, which is the highlight of the site and truly breathtaking. The reclining Buddha at Chaukhtatgyi is enormous—66 meters long—and beautifully crafted. Its serene expression and the intricate details, especially on the soles of the feet with 108 sacred symbols, were fascinating. Standing in front of such a grand statue, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of calm and reverence. The colors and design of the Buddha make it visually striking, and it’s a sight I’ll never forget. The temple’s peaceful atmosphere was one of the best parts of my visit. It wasn’t crowded, and the gentle sound of chanting and the aroma of incense created a tranquil setting. Watching the locals offering flowers and prayers gave me a deeper appreciation of the space as a living, spiritual place. Getting to the temple was straightforward, and entry was free, though I left a small donation. The grounds were well-kept, and there were shaded areas where I could sit and take in the atmosphere. It was nice to see that photography was allowed, so I could capture some memories without feeling intrusive. Dress Code: Make sure to wear modest clothing, covering shoulders and knees. Best Time to Visit: I went before lunch and it is very humid outside. Chaukhtatgyi Buddha Temple is a must-visit if you’re in Yangon. The reclining Buddha alone is worth the trip, and the peaceful environment made it a perfect escape from the city. It’s a place I’d definitely recommend to anyone visiting Myanmar.

The photos don’t do Justice to this Buddhist site. The actual stone is balanced in a way that it seems impossible when you actually look at it. The ride in special built open trucks up the hill to the site and back is invigorating to say the least. Worth the trip…

Visited by Buddhist pilgrims, this historical and sacred pagoda is on top of the rock situated at the hilltop. You can go either by hiking or taking the bus to the top of the mountain. Perfect for nature lovers.

Inle Lake is a stunning freshwater lake located in Shan State, Myanmar (Burma). It is renowned for its serene beauty, unique floating villages, and rich living cultural heritage. This is very rare water settlement in the world where they used to continue agriculture, fishing and other all day to day activities. Boat tour is the one of main tourist activity in this area.

The lake and its surroundings are beautiful and well worth the visit! A little boat tour is a must, visiting ‘floating’ villages, markets and restaurants. If you’re lucky you’ll see some traditional fishermen doing their thing. Understandably it’s a very water-focussed / dependent way of life there and it was really interesting to observe that. As with everywhere I experienced in Myanmar, people are warm, friendly and welcoming. My regret is we went there for the day so missed both sunrise and sunset there, bet that would have been spectacular.

Very much worth visiting the lake and surrounding country side. Do take a boat tour on the lake if you have the time. It is wonderful, the atmosphere, the 'one legged' fishermen, little children in boats, it's like riding a bike for them, the swimming gardens, the homes on the lake and to top it all of, a small excavator sitting on a floating island in the middle of the lake. All very interesting to take in and enjoy during a boat trip with breaks for visiting with a local family and another for lunch. Theirs is a hard life, but for tourists it's all so tranquil and enjoyable. We take toy cars, calenders and postcards with sights from home as little gifts for locals when we visit or for instance, when they graciously let us use their toilet at the side of the road, when no restaurants are around. Not so fond of the toilet situation on the lake, as the outhouse 'droppings' went straight into the lake and some (visiting) people discarded their (western) hygiene products which floated around in the enclosed outhouse space. Quite thoughtless and disgusting. I will never forget our visit, as we were at this lake during the 2004 Tsunami and, even though we were hundreds of miles away from the epicenter, the ground was shaking, everone was panicking and tunning out of buildings, our SUV was moving forward and backwards several feet on its own, the water in our guest houses pond was sloshing back and forth and the noise sounded like a helicopter was landing on the roof or a freight train going by. Never want to experience anything like it again.

Inle Lake was truly an incredible experience! I highly recommend this destination to anyone who loves natural beauty, cultural immersion, and delicious food. First of all, the scenery at Inle Lake is simply magical. The lake itself is surrounded by rolling hills and lush forests, and there are stilt houses and floating gardens dotted throughout the water. I took a boat tour around the lake, and it was the perfect way to take in all the stunning views. But what really made my trip to Inle Lake special was the opportunity to learn about local culture and cuisine. I took a cooking class with a local chef and was amazed by the fresh ingredients and unique flavors that are used in Burmese cooking. We made everything from traditional soups to savory curries, and I even got to take home a cookbook with all of the recipes we made. Overall, I can't recommend Inle Lake enough. It's a must-see spot for anyone traveling to Myanmar, and the boat tour and cooking class are experiences that you simply can't miss. 5 stars all the way!

Definitely worth a trip. You do not need to book before you arrive in town. Book the day before. Directly is cheapest! Be careful with who you go with, as they might want detours you do not! Looking back, I wish I had gone alone instead of sharing my trip. As of Dec 2018, boat trips are 15000 (for the whole boat) without Shwe Indein Pagoda. However it is a *must see* and the best thing you'll do - 3000 extra. Tips are appreciated and 1000 is enough. Fake fisherman ask for money for posing- they are the ones in faded orange. Makes a good photo- up to you. Enjoy!

Been to Inle Lake twice and absolutely love this place!!! The serene, vast and beautiful lake is one very great attraction in Myanmar. Would be more fun to visit the lake during the float/boat festival where more exciting and interesting events occur. Love the activities on the lake - boat trip, floating garden, markets and the unique way of boatman rowing oar with just their legs!!!

This is a peaceful and gorgeous place to enjoy a countryside. I took a bicycle traveling around the town in the morning to learn about the local people. In 2018, the place is under the development for better future. We a team of two friends take a boat tour around the Inle Lake. It is a other sides of the place where local people travel by boat and have local market under the temple. We enjoyed the sunset in the wooden bridge and a boat tour around the village. In general, this is a different world compared to developed cities with friendly and tolerance local people.

If you’re in Myanmar and want a unique experience, visiting this local winery is worth considering. For 8,000 Ks, you can taste four wines served in small glasses. While the wine quality isn’t exceptional by European standards, one of the whites was surprisingly decent. What truly makes this spot special, though, is the view. The sunset from here is absolutely breathtaking—perhaps the most beautiful in the entire city. The golden hues over the landscape create a magical atmosphere that’s hard to forget.

I visited when almost no foreigner tourist is here in Nyaungshwe. And they said they are close at 6pm so I dont think I can see the sunset. But the weather was not great anyways. Price is reasonable for testing and had carbonara that might Italians get mad lol but it was okay with me. It is all about the view here

10 min drive from hotel zone or from nyaungshwe town. Up hill location give perfect view for sunset sitting among grape bushes. Wine tasting also had explaining about different wines from different types and mix of different grape species. Can have local and European dishes in primeum quality

Amazing view with fantastic service. Wine tasting session was interesting that we ended up buying three bottles haha. The dishes are amazingly reasonable priced and huge potion. As always, Shan people are super polite and honest. Very satisfied about the waiter who served our table.

Very beautiful place at the top of the hill, the view is stunning. You have an amazing view from the top around the whole area, that includes also the Inle lake. Staff is very friendly and Kind. I had the spaghetti and the taste was Ok, not really warm and the portion is a bit tiny for the amount of money. Coffee is good and the lime juice also. Behind the cafe there is the winery located, with a beautiful view around the area. Place is. Dry natural, it’s worth to visit it. I didn’t came here for the wine, so I couldn’t tell anything how good the wine is.

Best view for the Inle Lake! Nothing is as marvelous than enjoying wine with the panoramic view of the infamous Inle Lake in Nyaungshwe. Well, we didn’t get wine! As we didn’t want to get tipsy. Instead, we ordered food from their restaurant which was pretty much affordable. With the taste, it surely is quite affordable. I would go back again. Bring my family and my boyfriend. The whole place was astounding. You’ll have to ride a Tuktuk going there which would cost 12,000 kyat. The seats and tables were placed at a good view of the far-flung hills and mountains. The staff is highly commendable - very accommodating and very friendly. A must visit for a good relaxing afternoon.

5 star for viewpoint and place 1 star for wine. Subjective opinion: I tried 5 wines and only one (Late Harvest - white wine) was drinkable, but still average which I want to buy home.

Visited in 2015 but just been looking through pics. Loved going up this. Such an impressive place. All covered in to walk up so you are away from the sun. Monkeys keep you on your toes. Fantastic view from the top.

My visit was in 2007, so things might have changed since, but my memories are of being treated exceptionally well by everyone I met, except for the monkeys, so of whom were quite rude... I travelled with a Burmese family I had met a few days earlier, and they had 'adopted' me and wanted me to join them on their pilgrimage. There are so many shrines to various 'nat' on the way up, and stupas everywhere. There is a lot to take in! Views from the top are spectacular, and even everyday occurrences are interesting to observe. The monkeys can be a nuisance, but you must not attack them because 1) it is a temple and 2) it is ineffective anyway.

The best part of visiting Mt Popa is arriving but definitely worth the visit if you pair it with another site in the environs. Be prepared to hike many steps and fend off the monkeys. The monkeys WILL grab at you so keep your possessions close. There are ample food stands so it is OK to arrive hungry.

Visited on a Wednesday morning and there was no crowds. We treked 30mins to get there from the Popa Mountain Resort. Great view of the mountain top monastery is from the pool deck of the resort which is open to day trippers. Best view at sunset. The monkies were no problem. Many cleaners were cleaning the steps and asking for personal donations. There was a sign above a donation box saying to put donations in the box only.

Went back in 2019. It was a beautiful temple to walk around. Just be careful of the monkeys. One of them stole my drink. Here! Evidence:

Hike up takes you 30 mins.777 steps. Spend 15 mins up there and hike down another 15. Not bad view from above however shot from below is definitely more dramatic.

We unknowingly headed down to Mt Popa during one of the local festivals. As such, it was very crowded/chaotic, but an interesting experience by itself. Hiking up was mostly done bare-footed and up cemented/metal stairs. Like some of the reviews I've read around, the view is really better on the ground (of the volcano & monastery on it) than hiking up and being on the main view itself! So it really depends on your agenda here. Very worth your while to also read up on the significance/meaning of this volcano before heading over.
